"Get your back out in space, they can place the air coach. Chris made a conscious effort to put that in this game to allow me to showcase that so you know Kudos, the coach Chris and I think it definitely opened up a lot of different assets, a lot of different players in the game by being able to do that. Jonathan Taylor Great Wisconsin running back just a terrific college career, typical badger toughest a four dollar steak. They're all tough up there. Early March. If I recall in early, March you did. Did you have a pro day you know before the virus? Kinda, hit the nation. Did did anybody. What kind of situation did you have an early March? Did you work out for some people? Yes, so I had. I had a pro day march eleventh, which was a week after the combine and I can time. It was kind of a quick turnaround. You're like I prepare for the combine, and then you turn around. You happen to prep for Pro Day and not you look back on it like I'm thankful that I had such a early pro day, so that I was able to get that in and showcase me catching the ball again, but I'm just I feel for the guys who didn't get invited to combine and we're banking on pro day. That had them cancelled. So I'm grateful I was able to attend to combine and pro. Give me a little bit about your background high school parents. Seem really incredibly grounded. When did you fall in love with football? So I really started to fall in love with FOOTBA. My Sophomore Year of high school, so I originally started playing football. I love at first sight I got that field that College Townsville. It wasn't like a huge city. Feel like New York where it was endless but it definitely was. An area where it was full of life, but also you can feel that community by and you know if people in Madison are wearing green and yellow. They're wearing red white. Yeah. Well. You're just I. Just think you're going to be a great pro I. Think you have the right attitude. And don't listen to anybody. Running backs have value and you do and I. Wish you the best of luck you. "The dolphins did last year. I don't think they're going to pull it off as well as the dolphins did. The dolphins are in a great position now. But I think they're trying to do that. We're we're tanking but we're not really tanking because we like to say that we're taking things so I don't think I mean if they bring in Cam Newton. He's GonNa sit behind Gardner Menchu. I mean. Nobody believes it's not going to happen. That's my that's my prediction for next year. That will be the one that's right. We can do to debate. Show we call a joy in the jabber mouth we would do. That would be starting That's our new Did very catchy joined with the news. Well that's the news. Thanks for stopping by third as Chrissy Teigen knows. I like Wisconsin guys. I think it's a really a formidable program. I think the coaching is excellent weight. Training Wisconsin guys go in the NFL. Always feels like to me. They not all but they they over achieve a little bit Jonathan Taylor's my best my favorite running back in the draft I told you I think Michael Pittman. Usc's my sleeper. Jonathan Taylor A lot of people see him as a as a second Early third-round guy. I like him a lot. I I can honestly say I late first round if he was available and I did a running back I liked Jonathan Taylor. He has track speed. He's tough he gets tough yards. He can pop for a home run. I don't think he's quite as elusive as saquon Barkley Maybe doesn't have the dimensions of Ezekiel Elliott. But I said it during the year He's absolutely is absolutely in in saquon Barkley Class Honestly. I think I see some similarities. Maybe not quite the wiggle. I Dunno so Jonathan Taylor will be joining us next a next hour. Bruce Feldman and tomorrow's headlines Today Just halfway home in L. A. It's the her be sure to catch live editions of the heard. Weekdays at noon eastern nine. Am Pacific interesting numbers on the Stanford. Antibody testing is out fifty times fifty plus times the estimate of confirmed active cases which means the death rate is far lower than suspected. Some good news today Jonathan. Taylor's my favorite running back in the draft and I had said this during the season like Saquon Barkley then. You can't not like Jonathan Taylor. Who's actually faster? The kid is just tough as nails. He never missed a game and three seasons at Wisconsin. He forced two hundred and twenty. Missed tackles since two thousand seventeen. That's the most in college football and the kid is a track speed. He is a complete burner Wisconsin. He gets tough yards and plays in tough weather. There's just nothing I don't like about him. I think he and Michael Pittman at. Usc are really underrated. Guys in this draft for me. And what do I know? I'm just a loud mouth on radio. Jonathan Taylor is joining us. First of all I watched a lot in college. There is some about Wisconsin guys. Jonathan your tougher up there. I don't know if the beers brought the cold weather but you got to football program. That develops tough guys. Why well kind of I think it starts in the weight room. I think that's where everything starts at. I've you gotTa have a right mindset in order to obtain new goals whether you want to you know left bank whether you want to swap. Heavier starts with that mindset and it's the training process that we go through in order to get mentally and physically prepare for the season and then translates over into the field. You understand that you put that worked in throughout the entire off season and now you wanted to come to life on the field you know when I first heard about you. People said he's a track guy and I'm like I don't know if I like track guys playing football and I watched you. It was a gun show. You were all jacked up and I'm like Oh my God. He just runs over people. Most track guys aren't as physical as you are. It is almost if you take pride in not just outrunning people but running over them a take me into your mind set on that yet so really it all depends on the situation When you're in the field you know you guys so you know if a guy is is a is a short tackle you know if a guy likes to tackle? Oh you know if a guy shies away from contact and in your mind you know that. You're you're ready to go around everybody to go through a ready to run tasks them and you're really ready to use every tool in your toolbox in order to get past that defender so but definitely take pride especially in the program at Wisconsin of being able to dominate the lineup. Frightened Line of scrimmage and search dominant. Now you have carried. This is what the critics are going to say. I mean he's a workhorse. He carried the ball three hundred times last couple of years. You know running backs. Theo dominator on him on. We're worried about that. What do you say to the critics who say carry ball too much so I mean I think you mentioned it earlier in the introduction? Not only have not missed a game. And I haven't missed a practice at all in my three years at the University of injury and And you Kinda Kinda say pick your poison you know you obtain these among the certain amount of yards and you know you have these carries which you say would you rather have had less yards last supper career So you Kinda have to pick your poison but like I like I said I haven't missed a practice or a game at all my three years injury your I went back and looked at. You weren't a pass receiving target early last year. It felt like Wisconsin wanted to get you more into the passing game. Last year is that does that is that right. That's definitely true A lot of people think that you know I had to work on. You know catching a ball and you know to get better. Ed was my lack of ability. When you think it Wisconsin football you think of power you get you get your back out in space. They can place the air coach. Chris made a conscious effort to put that. In this game to allow me to showcase that so you know Kudos the coach. Chris and I think it definitely opened up a lot of different Assets and. There's a lot of different players in the game by being able to do that. Jonathan Taylor Great Wisconsin running back Just a terrific college career. Typical Badger toughest four dollar steak. They're all tough up there early March. If I recall in early March you did. Did you have a Pro Day? You know before the virus Kinda hit. The Nation did did anybody. What kind of situation did you have an early March? Did you work out for some people? Yes so I had. I had a pro day march eleventh. Which was a week after the combine and I could time. It was kind of a a quick turnaround. You're like I prepare for the combine and then you turn around you happen to prep for pro day and now that you look back on it like. I'm thankful that I had such a early pro day. So that I was able to get that in and showcase me catching the ball again but I'm just I feel for the guys who didn't get invited to combine and we're banking on Pro Day. That had them cancelled so. talk twenty four seven you gotta understand that you are all set to go what foxsports radio is that her with calling hours from Los Angeles just like to say thank you the response has been overwhelming it's been amazing and people say that enough in our business and we're back now interesting numbers on the Stanford antibody testing is out for fifty times fifty plus times the estimate cold weather but you got it's a football program that develops tough guys why well character it starts in the weight room I think that's where everything starts that you gotta have a right mindset in order to obtain new goals whether you wanna you know left banks are here we want to swap every year because of that mind saying this is training process that we go through in order to get us mentally toolbox in order to get past that defender so but you definitely didn't take pride for from the other program at Wisconsin of being able to dominate the line up front the line of scrimmage and researcher dominance now you have carried this is what the critics are going to say I mean he's a work horse she carried the ball three hundred times last couple of years yeah running backs the O. odometer on him I'm more worried about that what do you say to the critics who say you've carried the ball too much but really I mean I think you mentioned that earlier in the introduction not only have I not missed a game I haven't missed a practice at all in my three years at the university to answering and and you kind of kind of a pick your poison you know you're paying these amounts there are some other yards and you know you have these Kerry's R. woods but you say would you rather have it have me less or more yards west of a career so you cannot because you're for them but like I like I said I I haven't missed a practice or game at all my three years good injury your first I went back and looked it you do work ugh a pass receiving target early last year it felt like Wisconsin wanted to get you more into the passing game last year is that does that is that right yeah that's definitely true but not a lot of people think that no I had to work on you know catching the ball and you know to get better at was my lack of ability we did Wisconsin football you think of power or gas you know we think again you're back out in space taking place in the air and coach Chris made a constant effort so that in the scheme to allow me to showcase that so you know kudos to coach Chris and I think it definitely opened up a lot of different aspects you're not a different players in the game by being able to do that Jonathan Taylor great Wisconsin running back just a terrific college career typical badger it tough is a four dollar steak they're all tough up there you had a early March if I recall in early March you did that did you have a pro date you you I know before the virus you know kind of hit the nation did did anybody would what what what kind of situation do you have
