It's Decision Day for Trump's Facebook Ban
"It Facebook, the quasi independent oversight board of the social Media Titan will announce whether the last president will be allowed back on or remains suspended indefinitely. Facebook itself was never the primary platform. He was a Twitter guy, and basically, Facebook would be a feed to post his tweets. That said, given the Twitter is gone and Twitter has made it clear that they are not going to be letting Trump back on. Ever. This would give him that key platform baby sees Jonathan Karl. It'll

House passes Joe Biden's COVID-19 relief bill with $1,400 personal checks, legislation heads to Senate

The provisions raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour is not in the bill. Some progressives are pushing for an all out war to save the minimum wage increase. Trump to attend GOP's spring donor retreat
"Trump is scheduled to speak at the cpac conference on sunday while americans go about living their lives. Political reports trump is expected to attend the rnc upcoming spring donor. How can that be a winning strategy. Whatever he says goes so you saw that. Nothing made it more clear than the house. Gop whip steve scalise going on tv. The sunday after his visit mar-a-lago where apparently they just talked about their families and how chill and relaxed. The president has been in his post presidency period at his resort and he just could not bring himself to say that this was a free and fair election. He said yes. Legitimately biden one when he was pressed by jonathan karl of abc news because elector said that on december fourteenth basically. He said a lot of sing. Swing states just didn't follow their own state laws and a lot of people are very concerned so what you do is instead of spreading the big lie. You never defy trump. You never disavow it and you never spell it you sit and you never discuss. How pernicious and dangerous. It is liz cheney and adam her and others have you just sort of try to circle around it because quote your constituents buy into it. And that's what's gonna keep you in trump's orbit if you want to keep your job in twenty twenty two. Matt voters have a funny way of kind of market testing ideas on their own and figuring out what. And what's gonna fly. How is this gonna fly especially in republican tightly contested suburban races two years from now. Well i think it does well in republican primaries. So i think that's the issue and that's the real problem for the republicans right now. They know that. Donald trump tests eighty eighty five percent popularity among the voters at will participate in republican primaries even in republican primaries in purple states or in suburban districts. That are swing districts. The problem is every time they venture into capturing that republican primary voth it more and more offense the people in the general election so it gets okay in a red state or deep red district to do that but when you start to try to win in suburban areas around houston suburban areas around dallas suburban areas in michigan suburban areas in california. It becomes exceedingly problematic. An i think that's the problem there in though it doesn't seem like they're in any way trying to confront that general election problem that they just keep pushing that often it's somehow they think is going to solve itself. It's almost as if they're going through this primary. They did in two thousand fifteen in twenty sixteen where they thought that donald trump problem would salve itself or he would peter out or nobody would deal within or somebody else would handle it and they didn't have to and then what they ended up having donald trump the republican nominee and then donald trump the republican president and now donald trump the republican president. So i do think it's his party. I don't think there's any question anymore that it's donald. The drill pay party is now the trump party and everything that donald trump does from town to what he cares about to. The conspiracy pushes is the republican party.

Nikki Haley criticizes Trump and says he has no future in the GOP
"So called trumpism, the partisan divide in Washington and across the nation driving the expected outcome of this impeachment trial. Now 2020 contenders are making their voices heard. ABC is Jonathan Karl tells us what a GOP heavy hitter just said. Nikki Haley is not only a former top official in the Trump administration, somebody who has been very close to Donald Trump rarely criticized him, is considered a leading contender for the Republican presidential nomination, she said in an interview, just published. In politico, she said. Trump let us down. He went down a path we shouldn't have, and we shouldn't have followed him. That's a decisive break Donald Trump from somebody who was considered quite close to Donald Trump. That is significant, but it doesn't mean he will be in peach or convicted. I should say they need 17 Senate Republicans to go along with all 50 Democrats, and right now, the dims Are not ruling out, invoking the 14th amendment to keep former President Trump from ever holding office again. Now, the 14th amendment can keep people who have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the United States from holding office. It was a measure originally aimed at former confederates after the Civil war. Center is also something that's being talked about in democratic circles. As we heard from Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey. Let's go to the current administration,

Trump refuses request to testify in his second impeachment trial
"Next week. It is the second impeachment trial for Donald Trump of the U. S. Senate former president declined to testify after request by Democratic House impeachment managers. House managers would love to call witnesses they would like, for instance, to question White House advisers about what Donald Trump was doing during the hours when his supporters were ransacking the capital, and he was Saying nothing publicly. But if you call witnesses for the prosecution, you almost certainly have witnesses for the defense. It could turn a trial. They hope to be a week into something that would last for several weeks. Democrats don't want that. Frankly, Republicans don't want that. And most of all, Joe Biden doesn't want that. Maybe Suze Jonathan Karl.

"What do you see him doing to to reach across the aisle right away. Well i think part of it is the rhetoric in the message. And i think he's been really strong on that in the wake of the election and during the election but but more importantly what he has had to say since he was declared the winner. But i come back again to the thing. That's going to matter above. All that i think will will help that. Which is showing competence and effectiveness in this vaccine. Rollout and in the way he's handling this epidemic because that gives him that gives him something to go on and then he's going to have to you know he's going to have to work with with mcconnell which is something i think he can do. They were not close when you know in the senate that was not one of biden's true friends but they did develop a much closer relationship. When biden became vice president and mcconnell felt that he couldn't really deal with brock obama but he could deal with biden's so a lot of those. You know white house. Congressional leadership on negotiations were spearheaded by biden. And i know did mcconnell's told people that he always felt. Did you know biden dealt with them in a straightforward manner. Understood what he couldn't deliver which is very important. You know in negotiations. Is you understand which you can be also understand why there's a place to negotiate with cannot go so. I think that's going to be the key relationships. There's reasons to be optimistic about understand. There's also ample reasons to be pessimistic. Did republicans at this point. We took so long in some still having you know even recognized if it's the president-elect that there's reasons to doubt that any of this is really going to be fruitful but i i am more optimistic side final question john as the final days of donald trump's presidency wind down. Are you worried that something else you know. Horrific is going to happen and or do you think he just kind of fades out these last couple of days and find another platform to begin his after presidency on where he can set up an alternate universe and and try to you know. Continue to talk about the disputed election read reports that he was railing at house minority leader. Kevin mccarthy about the stolen election still mccarthy told me needed to just stop yep. I do certainly hope that we've reached the point where he's going to fade away. But there's nothing guaranteed here we've got. What another eight days left here. The thing that i find most frightening is what would happen if you know around takes a shot at american editor target in the in the gulf iraq. What would happen if the chinese made a move on taiwam. What would happen. If north korea did something aggressive what would happen if there were a terrorist attack. What would i mean all of these things. Would anybody have any faith. Unsteady leadership out of out of the white house in the commander in chief if there were truly a crisis by the needed to be handle. So you know. I know that radcliffe. In on o'brien to the little picture of the three of them sitting there saying we're still here at the controls. everything's fine wasn't exactly the most reassuring world we've got these three days. Yeah but let's hope for a boring eight days okay. Let's just hope for a run-of-the-mill so cable television keeps them entertained than and we we can move on. Maybe he'll watch the nfl playoffs this weekend and just leave it game so ravens browns come on and he can't get it's the jonathan. Thank you as always. This is really terrific and we will talk to you on the other side of this president's great talk to you but a friend for a long time and it's good to catch up. Take care if you.

Democrats Continue March Toward Trump Impeachment
"Again to impeach President Trump. They say he triggered Wednesday's deadly riot, the capital, with this speech to a crowd of supporters, others asking if it's worth it. With just days left to his time in the Oval Office. They've already written an impeachment resolution. A single article for quote incitement of insurrection. Charging Trump with willfully inciting violence against the government by urging his followers to march to the capital, House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy today, said quote impeaching the president with just 12 days left in his term will only divide our country. More President elect Biden says Impeachment is up to Congress but offered a different way to remove trump from power. Quickest way that that will happen is us being sworn in on the 20th. Woman dies after shooting in U.S. Capitol; Washington, D.C. National Guard activated after mob breaches building
"Russians continuing to swirl around how that mob of pro Trump supporters was able to breach security barriers of the U. S Capitol, forcing members of Congress to barricade themselves in their offices and in galleries. One woman was killed. Three died after medical emergencies and more than 50 people were arrested. Police say They also recovered two pipe bombs do the scene. As well as a long gun and Molotov cocktails found in a cooler just blocks away. Those suspected explosive devices were discovered at the Republican and Democratic National Committee headquarters. The news chief Justice correspondent Pierre Thomas, ABC chief White House correspondent Jonathan Karl has more on President Trump's response to the violence calls to the White House press office. Go on answered. I've tried to call the chief of staff on answered. I've even tried to reach out directly to the president because none of those who speak on him our response on his behalf for responsive shortly after the capital was secure, Congress solidified Joe Biden's November win by ratifying the Electoral college vote count.
Pro-Trump mob storms the US Capitol, touting 'Stop the Steal'
"So we walked through how we got here. But it doesn't quite do justice to that queasy feeling you got when you saw people marching through the halls of congress and breaking down doors when you saw crowds of people cheerfully waving their flags from the capitol balcony. So i wanna bring. Abc's chief white house correspondent. Jonathan karl and abc senior. National correspondent. Terry moran terry what did a day like. This mean for the united states of america. What do you take away from it. A dark day for the country and i think most people feel that way. This is one of those days that that that will remember and that will be remembered. I if it fades into the mist of history. I'll be surprised because it is something that's never happened this this mob. What does it mean it means. We got through this election. By the skin of our teeth they failed to attempt to obstruct the congress. This failed insurrection. Only underscores how crucial the task before us is for our republic. Joe biden one. Absolutely no doubt about that. But if we're not for the person of mike pence and mitch mcconnell maybe in a couple of other people you know. This mob might have represented the end of the democracy. That's what they wanted. They wanted to stop the certification counting of electoral votes certified by fifty states and give the election to their guy donald trump. Nobody knows what the hell is going on. There's never been anything like this. We will not let them. Silence your voices. we're not gonna let it happen one thing. I was struck by the chance. Fight for trump fight for trump not fight for america. This is a movement in our country and it reached a terrible bloody apex at the cap. Very jonathan karl. I mean you were keeping track of of not just congress not just washington but like inside. The white house has a switch flipped in washington when it comes to how people see the president and his his mission here. My sense is that we are looking at the end of the trump era. All i can say as count me out. Enough is enough of tried to be helpful. I think you saw a moment here. Where donald trump after a string of losses that led to this day loss on november third the losses in in georgia and the senate races in good conscious object to the certification of these electors not to mention the override of of of the veto. That happened On on new year's day You know the president has has seen a a series of things that haven't happened throughout his presidency. Which is losses at the hands of republicans. If you vote to overturn these elections. Wouldn't it be the opposite of what states rights. Republicans have always advocated for them. This would do m- the electoral college forever. And there were certainly a lot of speculation. i think we we had spoken about the possibility of donald trump going back to mar-a-lago and mounting a comeback or at least becoming a kingmaker in the republican party. I after yesterday to those who wreaked havoc in our capital. Today you did not win. Violence never wins. Freedom wins and this is still the people's house. I don't really think donald trump As republican kingmaker is is a likely scenario after after january. Six or after january twentieth. Does it go beyond that jump. Because you know you heard terry talking about mitch. Mcconnell in even mike pence these forces that were kind of constraining president trump. But how far could that go. I mean what kind of constraints could we see. On president trump going forward. It turned out that it was not his orders that got the national guard into washington. Dc you've got people resigning out from under him overnight. Essentially saying were sickened by all this. And now we're even giving talk about like the twenty fifth amendment. Is that a serious possibility. I there is We we have confirmed. There have been members of the cabinet. Who have had conversations about the twenty fifth amendment that would be effectively removing the president because he is mentally incompetent mentally unable to do the job. those conversations are happening and they're happening not just among the cabinet where it's relevant but also among The president's allies some of the president's allies on capitol hill But that's a. That's a really steep climb. That is an extraordinary thing. You would need in a vice. President can submit a declaration to congressional leaders saying the president is unfit for the job. The president now can contest that and if the vice president and cabinet persist that would lead to a vote in congress but that has never happened before under circumstances such as these now. That's a real long shot. But it just gives you a sense of where we're at and how how worried people very close to donald trump are that those conversations are in fact happening. I'm sure that there are responsible members of the cabinet. Who right now are thinking about. What are their obligations under the oath that they took. And they're not thinking about those things they should be dairy whose complicit in what we just saw i mean you know. I think that's the question that it's going to be weighing on a lot of people going forward here is. Is it enough to say. I condemn violence. But i do believe this. Election was a sham with without any evidence whatsoever like what are the legacies of essentially everyone else in washington stemming out of these events well i think as senator ben sasse republicans nebraska put. It lies have consequences. America isn't hatfields and mccoys. Blood feud forever. america's union. There are a lot of reasons to vote for donald trump. There are lots of reasons to vote against joe biden or against hillary clinton but to tell the american people lies That the election was stolen by some combination of software companies Hugo chavez out of the grave and i don't know the bigfoot that has consequences and to stir it up and drive people to the point of you're telling people they're stealing your country from you. They're stealing your country. They're going to take your guns and they're gonna. They're gonna slaughter babies and kidnap them and put them in a file rings and all the rest of it to wind people up like that. What do you think is going to happen seriously. Especially under the leadership of donald trump. Who has a gift for bloody language as a gift for stirring people up. But we're going to try and give our republicans the weak ones because strong winds. Don't need any of our help. We're going to try and give them the kind of pride and boldness that they need to take back our country he's in march to the capitol and he said show you aren't gonna win by weakness it takes strength. Be strong up there. You know that whole rhetoric of of brutishness in violence and the fist is is the real power anybody who went along with that and plenty. Did the american people may very well judge you to be complicit but i would just say. I'm not as sanguine as john about this is all over. You know these kinds of movements sometimes take fuel from an event like this a lot of republicans. Now have a taste for this kind of this kind of politics. Look what happened in the house. Some of the people who breach the capital today we're not trump supporters. They were masquerading as trump supporters. And in fact were members of the violet. Terrorist group antifa more than half of house. Republicans voted to nullify the election after after the mob attacked the capital. That tells you that. I think this is a long way from being dead.

So tell us the latest what is the mood at the White House and can you give us a time line of the events maybe so that we know exactly what happened this past week? Sure well first of all in terms of the mood, there's a real effort right now to try to portray this as business as usual the president's doing fine he's going to work while he's self isolated in fact, the chief of Staff Mark Meadows who spent by the way a lot of time a lot of quality time with the president end with hope picks I just came out of the West Wing spoke to reporters. By the way he came out not wearing a mask talking to reporters in front of the West Wing. Even at this moment and was talking about the the stock market and how great the economy in his mind is going and how the president could spirits. But I've got to tell you the ground truth of this is the White House and the White House staff or really rattled off. This is something that has really frankly freaked them out they're concerned about the president's health. They're concerned about hope Hicks, who by the way I am told is is quite sick they. Meadows did acknowledge that the president is experiencing symptoms of Krahn virus not just the positive test, but he has symptoms. He said those mild symptoms. Of course there's a real question of exactly what you can believe in terms of how they are characterizing this. But this is something has the White House rattled concerned about their health concerns about the president's health and concerned about what this means for the campaign. John I? Believe firmly that this is a national security risk and issue at this point. So I I do think that we need information about the president's health. We know that president trump has not been transparent about his health in general and he has admitted that he downplayed this virus. So people wouldn't panic. Now does this mean that he will downplay his own symptoms? How can we trust any of the information that is coming out of the White House I personally would prefer to hear information from a doctor's not necessarily his physician, his personal physician, but maybe physicians at Walter Reed or Dr Fao G. Sunny. The sad truth is that we really can't trust at face value what comes out of the White House on this I think we have to ask the questions. And we will continue to do so we will try to verify all the answers that we get but there's been so much misinformation that has that has gone out you know about the virus about the pandemic. About things like voter suppression I it's really hard to know what to believe. and. I it's a very distressing thing to say as as a White House correspondent I've had the opportunity to cover a four different presidents and I've been in that. Briefing Room of the White. House. During some very tense moments some moments of were national security was at stake and you had to depend on what was being told to you from the podium by White House officials or by the president, and with this I think that we again we need to ask the questions and we need to verify and double verify everything we were told. John I'm I'm looking on social media and I'm saying. To your point to your previous point I'm saying some people reacting with skepticism and disbelief some people think this is a play for sympathy or to distract from what's been a very, very bad news week for the president. So what would you tell Americans who are skeptical and this believing what? How do you think Americans should be reacting to this news from the White House given everything we know well, and I. think that one of the sad things that we have seen happen in our country over the past four or five years is we have seen I talk in my book at length about a war on truth that has been waged to the point where you have. We kind of become a nation of conspiracy theorists you have people who will not believe anything that is coming out of the White House for the reasons that I described, and then you have another part of the country that won't believe anything that they read in a newspaper or see on on a show like this and everybody skeptical everybody is disbelieving a degree of skepticism is warranted but but now you have a point where people just don't know what to believe. So my advice would be. Listen to. What is said and verify go to trust it and reliable sources. We will be asking questions at the White House and there are a lot of them I. For instance I want to know what is happening in terms of the the White House staff West Wing I mean. CDC guidelines would say that if you came in contact with somebody who had corona virus, you need to quarantine for fourteen days. Who is going to be quarantining at the White House what precautions are being taken the answer they give as well. You know Mark Meadows said Hey I had a test. I'm fine. Well, we know that the test can sometimes be wrong particularly the rapid tests that they use at the White House can be wrong as much as twenty percent of the time a you can have the virus cannot show up at a test for for a period of time. So what what is being done here and who else has been affected? By trump were together on the same stage just three days ago. Chris Christie said this morning that he was in the room for trump's debate prep and no one was wearing a mask. We also saw the trump family in the debate audience with no masks. How worried is the Biden campaign about the possibility of spread? Well, the vice president and Jill Biden Dr Biden are both going to be tested I. Think there is concern there. Know this is a situation throughout the debate they were separated. They were more than six feet apart but we all saw that debate there was a heck a lot of not not just talking but yelling going on in that debate and I think there is concern i. if I were Chris Wallace, I would I would be concerned as well. These are these are real concerns. And you know we'll see hopefully hopefully the biden's are just fine. Hopefully, the president recovers here, but we are in for a period of real uncertainty. Okay. There's a lot to cover today. So we're going to have more with.

"Hello and welcome to the view. On your on. Okay. So there's only one hot topic today to talk about. President trump and first lady Melania have tested positive for the coronavirus. As, with everyone who has contracted this terrible virus, we wish them nothing but a full recovery. sunny. Let's start with you today. How how shocked were you to wake up to this to this news? Well I actually learned about it last night and I stayed up actually. Really through through the night and well into the morning. So I I was saddened by it because the last thing you want is for the president of your country contract. What has been a deadly disease during a global pandemic because. It becomes a national security issue. Joy and I'm concerned not only for the president and his family but for our country. So I think that this is. A, grave grave. Danger, to the president. Because we know that. He's seventy four, he's obese. His his. Wasn't contact. With many many people including twenty to thirty people I believe that was that we're on his airplane and. He went to Bedminster New Jersey for A. Rally I believe. So I worry about the people that he came into contact with I, worry about the first lady and her son I worry about the White House Staff I. Worry About Vice President Biden who? Participated in a debate and who also is in his seventies. It this is I think just really very, very serious. So, okay. Yes. Very serious. It's serious for the country. What was your reaction when you heard this? On know who is an Anna Anna? Well, let's it's sobering news. It's very serious news I. Think it's a reminder for all of us that even though the numbers seem to be going down that this is still very much a serious threat for all Americans I think it's a reminder all of us to wear the damn mask. This one is from mothers. For Mother's. Demand Action who are the mothers of people who've died? By gunshot by gun violence. Look. Here's the bottom line. I saw today this tweet by Joe Biden where he was expressing his concern offering prayers and well wishes. To the president and the first lady and I, think that's exactly the right tone and I'm grateful for Joe Biden having set an example by him wearing a mask by him social distancing and by him setting the tone of offering good wishes you can offer good wishes and you can wish nothing but the best to Donald Trump, and that's what all Americans should be doing right now because this is a very serious illness, we should not wish it on anybody on any American on any human it is a threat to all of us. But that doesn't overweight that doesn't mean that we don't recognize how badly he has mishandled this virus that he has not worn a mask that he was making fun of Joe Biden for wearing a mask. So both things I think that a lot of Americans right now are feeling both things we want him to get better I want him to lose but I don't want him to suffer. Any harm and I want him to get better. I want there to be a fair election. But at the same time, I also want this to serve as a sober lesson for all Americans those who are refusing to wear the masks those who think this is a hoax those who have not been social distancing to take it seriously because we are far far from being out of the woods. I think that it would be I agree with everything you've said so far Anna I. Think it would also be a good idea for him to come out and say look I have been wrong. I have been wrong just fyi in January I wanna read this the CDC. Confirms the first case of Corona Virus January trump says the country has it under control? That's what he tells the country. That's not what he says to. Bob. Woodward February it's going to disappear March the risk is very very low April go away with the heat and we'll be gone by Easter. He says he would not wear a mask in April September, he says, it affects virtually nobody September. And October who found out it was positive for the virus so It would be really great if he would come out and speak to the American people and say, you know what you can't fight science science is correct. And applies to climate change also science is correct I don't want to be in a position where things are really falling apart on this planet and then we say you say we told you so. Sarah, would you like to weigh in on this? Yeah. Just real. Quickly I think like everyone else I woke up and I was not surprised on one hand and terrified at the same time. I think we've watched him downplay. The seriousness of this and the the mask has become a rallying cry for he his administration and many of his base. So to see that he has it but there's a part of me that also thought this is the president of the United States, the most protected human possibly on this Globe Ground Zero for all the information, all the scientists, the doctors advising people consistently now on what they were supposed to do, and if it's penetrated this inner circle, there's a moment of Oh my gosh. What does this mean going forward? and. I can't help but come back to what Anna said about the mask. You know this messaging has been consistent for months now and many people including the president said during the debate but Dr Foul Cheat you know that was march guys like it's October. It's been a consistent message and they said hand hygiene social distancing and wearing masks. So I just wonder if we'd be here if that did not become a rallying cry for for the president. Okay. So. So, he's been downplaying the virus as we know and he kept going of the debate the other night. So let's watch this clip I mean I have a great here I put the mask on when I think I need it tonight as an example, everybody's had a test and you've had social distancing and all of the things that you have to but. When needed when needed I wear mess okay. Let me ask I don't wear masks like him every time you seem he's got a mask he could be speaking to one hundred feet away from it. He shows up with the biggest mask I've ever seen. So how is this going to impact the country? That's the question could it even postponed the election? WE'LL ASK ABC News chief White House correspondent next..

"Back offering. Jonathan Karl was the accidental attendees of a campaign rally, Rose Garden the other day, and this is a man who's already seen plenty. Then he shares in his book front row at the unit. Who so actually says it's actual name, but you know I never don't. And he's right now the ABC News Chief White House correspondent. Jonathan Karl you. Title is so so hefty always want to get it right, but always mess it up Let's jump into some stuff. Right now, let's do some hot topics. Let's start by asking you about the recent press conference earlier this week that turned into a Rose Garden Con- campaign rally. Have you ever ever seen anything like this before? Are we just forgetting stuff? Well every time I I think I've seen it all and trust me. That's happened a lot of particularly during this this White House in this white. House something happens. This was this was unbelievable. There's an expression in politics be the idea of an incumbent president running for reelection, having a Rose Garden strategy, and what that means is the president instead of getting into the Messi -ness of the campaign does official pronouncements official business from the Rose Garden. Well this he brought the message of the campaign. Right into the Rose Garden. We were told we were going in for a press conference on announcement, related to China, and he went on for about an hour in basically version of his campaign rally speech. It was all over the map. I really have never seen first of all such blatant politics conducted out of the Rose Garden, but also such an all over the map speech. Well John President trump can't seem to get out of his own way, and I think Republicans are feeling it and getting a little nervous when he's supposed to be talking about China. which is what we were told he was talking about in the Rose Garden. He used the time to attack Joe in. Why do you think he doesn't have a cohesive message? And how frustrated are his aides by this? It's really interesting to me. Because he has a lot of arrows, he could be using, and they just seem to not be using them from for whatever reason. It's really baffling. I mean he always goes from the God. I mean this is a big theme of my book. He had an expression. You did an interview with Barbara Walters back in the eighties when he when I flirted with running for president, he was just like forty one years old, and Barbara's trying to get him to explain his strategy in his his goals, and what you want it accomplish, and he said No. It's like the prize fighters. When you go into the ring, you go with the punches. There's never much that is strategic with how he goes. He believes he can go by his gut. Yes, it frustrates his aides. They are certainly no longer surprised, and they're used to it. The people that are really frustrated as you mentioned, are Republicans Republicans in Congress. Who worried that things are getting so bad. That, he is so undisciplined on this that Republicans will suffer severe losses in the House further losses in the House and will lose control the Senate now have Senate races that look newly competitive just in places like Maine and Colorado but places like Georgia and maybe even Alabama Arizona North Carolina Republicans are really worried and very frustrated that the president is driving them off a cliff. John during his Rose Garden speech, president trump attacked vice president biden by saying that Biden wants to abolish the suburbs, and he also wanted to get rid of windows according to a recent Quinnipiac poll. The vice president is up by fifteen points. Is the campaign having a hard time making the case against him? They sure are, and that's not just an isolated Paul. I mean we've seen over the last couple of weeks. Polls showed him that pulled out fifteen another pole down fourteen or another pole down twelve. Nobody really shows him down any less than. Ten points does not look good that those are national polls. It doesn't look good in the key states and I think that they're having a very hard time. The president having a hard time trying to come up with an attack on Biden that will stick in the Rose Garden. He started saying. Where's hunter remember that that that phrase that he was using a while back, where's hunter and the campaign started tweeting out messages relating to that most Americans watch that and they say who's hunter. What what does that mean it doesn't. It doesn't hit anything. I was very revealing when he had his rally in Tulsa. The last rally. To see the kind of merchandise. Being sold outside. That's a key indicator with trump of where where the? Shirts they're wearing. What kind of signs of what kind of paraphernalia they have There was a lot of stuff attack Hillary Clinton still there were stuff attacking Barack. Obama there wasn't much that they had attacking Joe Biden. The the nickname. He's given him a sleepy Joe. It hasn't really caught on. Right and Won't also at one catch on his starting to sound like Humphrey Bogart in the caine mutiny, they. Where did they put the strawberries? The strawberries remember that movie Jonathan. Do it was a while ago. Yes, so let's talk about the corona virus because cases is surging across the country, and we are still hearing almost well. We are hearing silence from trump. He doesn't WANNA deal with except for his assistance that he's doing a fantastic job and it will be over very quickly. So are they still in some kind of magical thinking about over there and we'll anything make this administration face reality and wake up and try to help the situation or not well. It's extraordinary to watch his schedule as an indicator, the kind of events that he is doing so just in the last few days. We've seen him do events on sanctions against Venezuela on. On gang violence on infrastructure. He's got something today on regulations. He seems to be doing events on just about everything except for corona virus, and when he mentioned the pandemic, as he does sometimes at these events, because they're never really about one topic, it's almost always to talk about what a wonderful job the administration has done. To talk about how you've heard him. Say over and over again. We have all these stray job in testing. That's why we have cases because we're testing. People. So I don't sense a strategy coming out of the White House the coronavirus task force headed by the vice president is still meeting regularly. They do have those conference. Call with governors but you don't get a sense that there is a national strategy here besides. Urging the localities urging the governor's to reopen? Yeah. It's crazy so Jonathan. Hang on, we're going to go on..

What do you think sunny well? There's no question that we should be listening to Dr Foulsham. He seems to be the voice of reason in this Pandemic and he certainly also is an infectious disease expert and doctor. But I will say this. I mean it's come to light that that Peter Navarro. I issued to memo's wrote to memos and those members were prophetic in the sense that he wrote them disseminated them within the White House and warned of this pandemic and warned that there would be hundreds of thousands of lives lost if something wasn't done and and nothing was done and so in that sense. I just wonder where the fault lies when you're putting conspiracy case together when you're putting any sort of criminal case together you want to know who knew what when it seems that. The government is the trump administration received. Its first formal notification of the outbreak on January third on January third and Peter. Had A wind up having a phone call with you know who yesterday about how to handle this and they both said it went well but is he really going to listen to. Gel Megan. I don't know why he would be listening to his opponent but I was happy to hear that they had a cordial conversation. I think that's good for democracy and good for the morale of the country right now. I think pivoting off of what sunny in joy were saying. You know. I don't know if this White House and our government large really could have bungled this war. It has been a complete existential awakening for me. And I don't care how naive the American public thinks I am. I have believed in America in our institutions. From the moment I was born on and I will say when you see senators on both sides of the Democrats and Republicans Being investigated for selling stock. Because they were obviously alerted new information about the severity of this virus and wanted to move their stock around to make money in my opinion which looks quite light war profiteering. We're living in a different time. We're living in a different time where there is a wrought infesting our government and our institutions and our leaders that is much graver and more extreme than I ever could have possibly imagined. And there's a reason why the American public has a healthy level of distrust from everyone in the administration on down in. I think going forward. Yes of course we should listen to Dr But I do think when I am told. A masked doesn't do anything it's go out. It's fine don't worry about the mass and then a few weeks later on told that if I want to leave my home I have to be wearing a mask. Obviously I think there is a high likelihood that I could still be being lied to by the government and I think that's why we're in the place that we're in in so many people don't know where to look and when you're confused you get tribal and I think a lot of conservatives in a lot of Democrats you're going to their corners and I think it's a very very dangerous situation we've entered ourselves in now and I do blame the top. I think much like the rest of the women on the show while I think one we all girl give you. Our two is the is the fact that nobody knows anything about this virus. That's the first thing and these economic guy gave information. He gave it in late January. He's written two books on China and so he wanted to stop Chinese people at the border and my question was well. How do you know that someone from another country didn't bring it in the a lot of this just makes very little sense but I'm going to stick with the one guy that I don't have any issues with because I know he knows what he's doing and that's vouching for me? We'll be right back..

"Jonathan Karl the chief White House correspondent from ABC news MSNBC is well, they're all confirmed. What CNN just did? I I'm hearing from my control room that CNN just did a report a couple of minutes ago. They're saying now that the White House has fully restored. Jim Acosta's press pass his hard pass. So John Roberts Jonathan Karl to network is we have to tweets here. So John Roberts over at FOX who used to be at CBS news. John Roberts tweeted out scoop. At White House to not seek revocation of Kosta hard pass sources, and then we have Jonathan Karl Jonathan Karl tweeted out, and he's the chief ABC White House. Correspondent a senior White House official tells me the White House is dropping its effort to Banja Mukasa for his behavior at the November seventh press conference, and yeah, I mean, he was a total delta Bravo, man. He was a total DB D bag DB. There's no doubt about it. Still. I didn't support the yanking of the past. And the White House is backtracking in just a second. And in fact, you know, what do you think the CEO and friend of President Trump the CEO of Newsmax Newsmax television, Chris Ronnie was actually on CNN over the weekend. And was asked I have that audio. I want to get to that. We'll we'll get to that. After the bottom of the hour break kosai, I was gonna. Was going to get to the letter. I, but I I want to get to the breaking item here that the past is going to remain. Okay. Jonathan Karl continues. The office says, however, the White House reserves the right to revoke a Costa's press access if he violates White House decorum in the future. So multiple confirmations now. And again CNN is also they reported just a short time ago that the past for Kosta has been fully restored. How much time do I have to have time to start the letter. Yeah. Let me start a little bit of the letter here. Because this is the letter that Jim Acosta apparently got this morning. And this was an indication that a new ban was coming after the federal judge Timothy Kelly had issued the temporary restraining order clearing the way for custody to get the hard pass back for at least a couple of weeks. So here's the latest. We are writing to give you this came from Sarah Sanders and Bill shine Bill shine is the White House communications chief, and they won't give you a little taste here. He's got closed the half hour. We'll be back in just a few minutes. Obviously after the bottom of the hour break, but they started out. We're writing to give you formal written notice that we have made a preliminary decision to suspend your hard pass through your conduct at the president's November. Seventh two thousand eighteen press conference. The president is aware of this preliminary decision and concurs the factual basis for this. Preliminary decision to suspend your pass is as follows. But again, they they send this may change their mind. Hang on back in a moment..
