"I you know. I think i think bobby witt is the opening day third baseman for kansas city. Next spring modest short nikki. Lopez's second i don't know what to do with their lineup. But i think bobby wood opens next season third base and i'm going to predict something similar to wander except more steals like that's a twenty twenty five home run guy right away. I think there's batting average risk with wit that. There isn't with franco. But he's gonna steal basis if you told me bobby. Witt ended up twenty five twenty-five fix i'd buy that. I don't see any chance with him this year at this point. It's a damn shame. But what are you gonna do and harder. They have to play modesty and that might be the case on opening day next year. 'cause i wanna the heart wants to give you a big hug and say i love it. And the brain says i can see some service time in relation. He doesn't give you the full one. Sixty two games on the schedule and takes a little time to get acclimated to the majors kind of like waterfront. Go dead and at the end of the year. You overpaid for him. I don't see him. Honestly i agree with you. I would not rank top hunted right now whereas franck forty but bobby witt i mean. I want to get him in the middle of next season. And that's the problem you won't you. You're not getting him. You're you're paying seventy th overall to you'd have to. Yeah you'd have to take him in the seventh round if you're doing an early draft in the off season in a redraft league whose. Adp think it'd be more palpable him or wander next year in redraft down. Who you think you're more likely to end up with at cost franca probably franca. But if i have to take him in round depends like like milk. If i'm sitting there on a draft mid march and it's wander verses like who's an established a goldsman us or our not establish star really tough to avoid establish star. But i i i believe in ronco. By the way major difference between the two franca will be a number two or three hitter. I know it's not about six or seven to be six or seven and he's in a really terrible powerball park so those cope sixth seventh in that ballpark. Yeah no i agree. I last question here comes from champions to compare and contrast the nl centro third baseman moving forward and hayes in india. So india go into next year. The second base only believe and man. He should win rookie of the year. Jonathan india what a great season he's had Scoring runs lots of power. great year. I did not expect that from jonathan india. I don't wanna say avoided him. But i just i just didn't buy it And the reds told us this was going to happen. There were mussa's short man. I mean you. India over suarez. Next year suarez cannot have average anymore. Ca brian hayes and the to pennsylvania third baseman of my biggest blessed of the season. I have a league where i protected alec boehm and brian hayes. Like nothing out of these guys. Nothing in this league for next year hayes is leading off. Now for pittsburgh with that tells me is they. Don't think he's gonna hit for much power. That's what that tells me that vicky is. That's not his game. Yeah but i thought twenty home runs. I thought like eighteen to twenty two home. Runs was legitimate for brian. Hayes this season. I think they hit double digits other going forward but i think that could end up being ultimate ceiling. You don't see too many third baseman with this profile. No but i think he could be. He could be the inverse of match happen where he went. Funneling everything into hitting for power sacrifice in the batting average he could be more contact. Line drive oriented better batting less power but amazing defense too by the way matt chapman saved his season. He's got double digit home in the last like thirty days. He's ended up with like thirty..

"Maybe nikola delo and maybe even hunter green right now. This team offensively this scary as as constructed as it is right now hineous juarez is playing tonight but he took a back seat this weekend. Mustafa's you are now going to play a lot of games in which the venezuelan homerun king is coming off the bench. You gotta do coming off your bed. She can say whatever you want about. Gino's lack of production. He has been a strike out machine. He doesn't deserve to start on a regular basis with the team as currently constructed he still got twenty two homers. He's still second on your second hundred team and rb is and rbi's are sort of a flawed metric when assessing how good of a hitter a guy is but nonetheless do this club. Twenty two homers. This year is now gonna be probably coming off your bench on a pretty regular basis. Certainly against righties indians are running a lefty out there tonight. So you're going to get some gino from the dimension. There are getting at the top of the order with jonathan india. Figure this team last year and how homer dependent they were. This can obviously still hit the long ball but they're not homered dependent. Jonathan india has solved. What has been pretty much. A three decade quest for a leadoff hitter you have players and winker and cast janos who are having career years. You were having joey votto. Enjoy a resurgence kyle. Offensively has been a bit of a revelation and has hit often over the last five or six weeks at a level that. I'm not sure sustainable. But still shortstop no longer or at least doesn't appear to be the sort of the productivity whole that it was earlier in the season and that most of his thought coming into the year was going to be all season long. This team starting staff. You would like a little bit more consistency. From sonny gray but louise castio. Who gets the ball. Tonight has been magnificent for the better part of two months. I think we've kind of put behind us. The notion that lewis castio is having a down year. He had a bad two months. He's been awesome since wade miley is as reliable as they come. Time only had a really good big start yesterday to to run seven innings. This guy who struggled at home at times this year nice bounce back start albeit against a bad team. Then there's a lot of good years. I just like watching vladimir gutierrez pitch somebody who just seems to get how to pitch and i think specifically in this day and age. That's saying something. Think of what. He's done for a spot on the team. That was a huge question. Mark coming into the season certainly wants. The season began and definitely when they started to lose sonny grave for a little while or not. Get what we were looking for from the waist castio didn't have michael lorenzen and try. The jeff hoffman experiment. But it didn't work out. let them. you're good air. Gets the ball right now. You feel pretty good also feel pretty good about what's going to happen when that bullpen door flings open and that to me might be the biggest difference right now. Two very quiet innings from reds relievers. Yesterday and to me the difference is simply this from where the reds are now to where they were just maybe two weeks ago. Not every relief appearances going to end. Well not everybody in this. Bullpen is going to be immune to bad outings. There are probably still going to be occasional bullpen implosion. I hate to say that but what you're getting is a degree of comfort and reliability that bullpen door flings open. The guy who comes out. I think now you could feel better about most of the options. Michael lorenzen you feel better about than some of the dudes. We were watching earlier in the season. Michael gibbons i think you feel better about rather than some of the dudes. We were watching earlier in the season. The revolving door of just waiver wire guys and call ups and four pitchers they've at least got a bullpen. Now of pretty established major league relief pitchers some of them have to perform better than they have so far this year. You're being fair if you're wondering about the club's overall health and how it might impact the relief corps but for the most part right now when a guy gets up and throws and you guys gonna come in. I think you feel pretty comfortable. What's that gonna add up to. Does it mean the reds are going to chase or catch. The milwaukee brewers. I feel better about the idea that they will today. I did coming into the weekend but to me right now with fifty games to go. I'm more into the composition of the team. The makeup of the club a team that most of the season we've held in contrast to how people feel about ownership and we've talked about it's likeability and we've talked about resilience and we've talked about offensively. How much better. They are this year as opposed to last year. All of those things are true. I see a team. The top to bottom right now is pretty. Damn good doesn't have a lot of holes has some depth and there's still going to get some guys back and they still could bring up some players who can make a difference in september. How how long is that gonna last. You can't predict injuries. Is this team going to be good enough to get the ninety. One wins gets a ninety two wins. I feel better about that now than i have at any point this year. I don't know what there is to not like about this team. At this moment we've spent a lot of the year talking about what they're not getting it. Third base might miss dacas returned. We spent a lot of time early in the season wondering about joey. Votto complaining about joey votto joey votto enjoying a find season. We wondered often during the season. What can last year's offense tell us about this year's offense we spent a lotta time worrying about what they may or may not get from shortstop would they may or may not get from rookies. Jonathan india looks like a guy who is going to do anything but hit a rookie. There right now is very little to not like whether it be about the composition of the club the deployment of players. How david is using guys. It might not like the fact that he's gonna play tonight but you're at least using him against the kind of pitcher that you would expect david bell to use u. juarez against. There is not a lot too not really really like about this club and for a living. I knit pick. I think as fans we all nit-pick and even if you go well i'd like to see a little bit more out of centerfield. The tyler naked thing dried up a little bit. I wish i was shogo. Akiyama was a guy that you count on to to do a little bit more. Offensively the absence of castanos pave the way for guys like keno and maybe even knock yokoyama to show what they could do. Neither really took advantage on under the umbrella of things that could be fixed between now and the end of the year. What is there. There's not a lot to tell me if there is at five point. Three seven four nine fifteen thirty eight six six seven zero two three seven seven six not the deepest hardest hitting analysis ever but just based on the way they played and i get it. You can get too caught up in. You know beating a bad team and the pirates but again what we wanted this team to do. I think what most of us wanted this team to do around. The deadline was centered around the fact the schedule over the final. Two months of the season was going to ease up drastically. We didn't want this team to go into selma right now. It sounds absurd to even suggest they should have. We wanted this team. We wanted this front office to give this bunch a shot to what extent they did. We can argue we debate. We can wonder even after the fact but we want this team to be given a chance because the schedule was going to ease up drastically because there was going to be a lot of pirates cubs and depleted washington nationals and miami. Marlins on it. If hopes for this season rested on cleaning up against awful clubs over the final two months then the early returns of the.

"The other thing is where did he does what he did. The beginning here from the southeast place third base it puts juarez at george do where he has the most of any player on the pain. You can't do. you can't do that. I mean you simply can't number one the the offensive productivity. Isn't there number two the guy you have plane shortstop right now kyle. Farmer is a better player. I mean for for a gang for a guy who had more experience in the big leagues catching than playing shortstop. I don't think anybody imagine. He would handle himself defensively as well as he has an over the last month. The bad has come alive. You can't venture right now rocky. he's terrific. They don't need to get a shortstop. They got the shortstop in Caught firmer spraying. That task has been great. Defensively no i mean he has. I appreciate the the phone call time. You long-term the shortstop is is going to be jose barreiro so and if there were any doubts fact that they didn't put him in any deal would would be a strong of an indicator. Is that as as anything. We've had thus far but for the time being. Yeah look moussaka some sense l. Are starting a rehab simon. I haven't seen louisville's lineup. Put the announcement today. They've sent him off in a rehab assignment. You're centerfield options tyler. Naked has done a really nice job this year given what he was acquired to do which was an extra outfielder. Start when needed. Not a guy that you want to play every single day. He has had some really big hits. He's made some contributions the homerun surge that we saw early in the season has rather predictably dried up. the productivity while it hasn't fallen completely off the table sense Early july. the numbers are very underwhelming. He's at two twenty two he has four extra-base hits is below six hundred. I love aristide is aquino aristide. Keno is a better player than people. give him. Credit for aristide's aquino has earned a little bit more playing time that he's getting but i don't think anybody would be surprised if aristide is a keno is not capable of producing at a level that you would like nixon. Zell was the second overall. Pick of draft is a franchise cornerstone. He's also a guy who before he suffered. An injury was really starting to play well at multiple positions and he had like a nine game hitting streak right before he got hurt. Now can you count on them. Well no he's he's always hurt. He's basically play the equivalent of one full season over the of the last three played in like one hundred sixty four games. So what happens in. You're not planning michelle gawky. Yama is a plus defender and he can run do. Just can't i mean there's been nothing about his performances as a big hitter that would suggest he's capable of sustained consistent production i know he got on base a bunch at the end of last year. He doesn't hit the ball very hard he never gets extra-base hits. He provides next to nothing. Offensively i hate to say that. Seems like a good guy intrigued by his pickup. So nobody going to center field. Is that going to be sell. You're not moving. Jonathan india not benching kyle farmer. So you're gonna play mischievous at third. You wanna get zelen..

"The Reds four game skid is over after Joey Votto when Aristide as Aquino went deep on consecutive pitches to power them past the Mets for three the home runs gave the reg a three one lead in the third inning Jonathan India slammed his first career leadoff Homer I no doubt shot to center that glanced off the batters eye Wade Miley shook off Peter Alonso's first inning home run to pitch into the seventh giving up two runs and seven hits because he was I wanted to but the same time I think you got to give credit to the Mets offense they did a really good job in the early innings to see a bunch of pages thousand pitches often and and works in deep counts on about my pitch count was going up let's start arriver stock left in the second inning after injuring his right hamstring while warming up New York still leads the NL east by two and a half games over Philadelphia I'm Dave Ferrie

Although the street street tacos are excellent as well in the meatloaf is pretty good. I could go on and on Berlin corns thanks to presenting the Twitter feed. Three locations in northern Kentucky. Barley corns Get over here. We'll do the biggest home runs and reds history coming up in the eight o'clock hour. If you want to preview I have video Of 25 of those on my blog at 700 wlw dot com Man. What a treat talking with Sean Casey early and Danny Graves in the second hour. Let's kind of reset where we are. After that weekend of Reds baseball, I said earlier, it was It lived up to the expectations and we're not. We're not used to that were used to building things up and wondering if we should go all in and get excited. And I did, and I think a lot did and we got to return on the investment. Mean the 72 hours of baseball Friday Saturday Sunday was was fun, meaningful Baseball. It was tension filled baseball. It felt like It felt like a playoff game did it not from one game to the next. And after Thursday night, there was a sense of a bit of a, you know, step back, like, let it sink in. No man. They lost Game one of the series. Now there are already seven out. If you didn't then win on Friday, you were looking at only being able to scramble back to where you were to start all this and they find ways to win Friday, Saturday Sunday Wade Miley was superb. On Friday night. Went to the ninth trying for the complete game. The Reds defense on Friday night was superb for a team that's taken its fair share of knocks deserved it was their best defensive performance of the season, hands down. Then on Saturday, How do you not feel good for Suarez in the home run and the look on his face and the excitement and what it meant to him to actually contributed, help his team in the ninth inning against hater. And I'll tell you the guy who Uh, I look at it this way. Vladimir Gutierrez, and that was six innings of one run baseball Saturday. He's made. Let's see that that point it was seven quality starts in a row for the Reds, but let me ask it this way. If not for Vladimir Gutierrez, making those nine starts. Who was going to take the ball for those nine. For this team. His earned run averages a tick over four. He's made nine starts. They've won five of them, and the reality is if you take out the two San Diego's, and I know you can't but he gave up 11 runs in the to San Diego starts combined. In his other seven starts, he's given up 13 runs. Vladimir Gutierrez, filling in the emergency add to the rotation during injuries. Who would have made those nine starts. And if you remember the first four were against division teams, he went cubs at Wrigley in the cold and the wind. He went. Cardinals in his second star Brewers in the third came back with Brewers in the fourth. In fact, he has faced the brew. I'm gonna do this on the fly. Vladimir Gutierrez, his face the Brewers three times this year, 13 19 innings and a grand total of five runs allowed. Who would have taken the ball if not for Vladimir Gutierrez? Look at the impact that Jonathan India's had on this team and his basically his walk yesterday to load the bases against Jonathan are against Josh Hater. Mean haters, tough for anybody, let alone a rookie and he battled and he battled and he fouled off and he fouled off and he battled and he draws a walk. And you're talking about an afternoon. We're all of that was on the line a chance to win the series. A chance to win it today where they started their race. And we're trying to close with their their their ace closer. You had a chance to win the series. Pull within four goes six games over 500 make it nine of 11 and the Reds were relying on Sean Doolittle. Ryan Hendrix and Josh Ostrich. Who got eight. Large outs. The relay on Saturday night was spectacular. From week to Freeman to Tucker, who hangs on and makes a nice tag. Out the umpire show the umpire Blank show for the last four games left a little bit something to be desired. I will admit, I don't know the last time I've seen the yellow, which play called I know the rule. Couldn't tell you. The last time I saw it called on a on a bang bang play at first yell it through the bag. The ball gets away momentarily. But bounces off the did it bounce off the tar Prolong the rate the wall right there, right back to Jonathan India yell. It ran through the bag and then stopped and turned left. Back into the field of play. And kind of lingered. He didn't walk straight back to first base. He made a left turn towards the infield and Kana meandered a little bit. And Jonathan, India, the the image is priceless. He knew exactly what to do. He was watching for it. And he had a smile. I'll say it. He had a smirk on his face when he walked up to Yelich and he took the ball. The ball was in his mid and he put his hand behind the ball, and he touched yell at his chest to tag him out. The empire was watching. Exactly what Jonathan India was watching. Called him out yelling Went ballistic Great Council went ballistic. Both got thrown out. But by the reading of the rule if you turn left into play and don't go immediately back to the base You're fair game..

"Takes down and away for ball one. And Frustrating series and that the Reds were in three out of those four games and had a chance to win. Really? All three of those games. Certainly the game on Thursday when they had the lead in the ninth inning Kyle Farmer, even saying in his postgame comments after the game yesterday. That was a game that they felt they had one and then it got away. Here's the one. Oh, pitch. And Stevenson takes a strike and then Very similar circumstance for the late home run in the eighth inning. And the game on Saturday. And then yesterday It was a miscue that led to the third and what proved to be decisive. Run. Here's the 11 pitch. Stevenson takes a strike and it's one and two and cowboy I gotta admit, Imagine when you go through a series like that. It's nice to get a fresh start. I think that first ballgame really sucked the emotion and the energy out of this club mean you're coming off a three game sweep of the Brewers. Your rally late in the ballgame. "And what happened. Well, he went six for his next 56. Remember the conversation that was being had Well, if Jonathan India isn't gonna play every day is he best served? I remember asking Jeff Braley about that. Because there there there weren't opportunities for him. You're thinking. All right, Do you take a young kid and have him on the bench and just give him scraps a couple of times a week or he's sending back to Tripoli and let him play every day. David Bell stuck with him. Mike Moustakas got hurt. And Jonathan India made adjustments. From six for his last 56. He's now gone 16 for his next 55. That's the adjustment game, and that's what you want to see out of a young kid didn't get frustrated, didn't get flustered, didn't bail on his approach and try something different. In his last 18 games. Jonathan Indy is hitting 2 91 with a 400 on base percentage show of hands at the start of the season, and I said Hey, Jonathan, India to 91 400 on base percentage. Now. I doubt that remains the rest of the season. But it certainly is a significant step in the right direction from where he was after the first 20 games of the season, her show And the other guy. And people keep trying to write him off. And I've even thought about it from the standpoint up. You know what? The production starting to wait a little bit. And my goodness you've got show Go when his show go get a free show Go! You know what Tyler Naquan does. He just does something every game. Last night, he got on base two more times, once got hit by a pitch and picked up an R B I. The other time he had a double and he had a sliding catch a heck of a catch to take away a hit in center field. And the numbers don't like like you're looking. You said, well, the batting average in the on base and man, Let's play show Go. Just know this. Tyler Nick wins had a hit in nine of his last 10 games. One hit in nine of his last 10 games, Not a lot of hits, but he just finds a way to contribute every game and all by the way, he does have 11 home runs in the year. He does have 38 R B s, and he's kind of effectively. He's boxed out Shoko Akiyama right now. Because David Bell is looking and saying, Well, boys, pretty good center field, and every time I turn around, he just does something. Maybe it's just enough, but he does something each game to contribute. No. That one of those guys at the start of the year and I told you Hey, Jonathan, make one not only will have 11 homers 38 ribbies Jonathan. Make one who have an O p s about 8 27. You said Oh, come on. No way. And that's what he's done. Kind of a After the initial burst early in the season. It's just kind of more of a little bit here a little bit there a little bit this time, a little bit the next time and you look at you say. Yeah. He just keeps doing something for this team. Now. Add up everything I just said. And it leads to the two words I wrote about today on the blog and I think about for this 2021 Cincinnati Reds team. If only I'll explain. "Yeah, that is missing entirely across the plate. Throw the ball the opposite side of where the catcher is setting up and again a billion side. Looking for the pitch down and in and it's up in him on a check swing by a Finnigan. He did not go, says first base umpire tied fishnet. They see farmer on that check swing. You know, even that pitch well off the plate that that's another example of why you're seeing so many guys had hit in the face. You have to react so late. Down in a way on the 21 pitch is the three ball one strike count Reds just looking for base runners at the moment. And cow farmer trying to oblige here. Sign given and again. Avila sits inside and the fastball lifted high into the air, shallow right field, so they're two down. So here's the red second baseman Jonathan India. He's over to in this ballgame. Actually, he's one for two. He says single in the second inning in his first at bat. I've got a bit of a scribble over here, but that's not a good.

"W Lance mcalister is off tonight. He is under the weather not feeling so good. And so you've got me tonight. Hopefully labs is back tomorrow. Resin cardinals tomorrow night. Gary Jeff Walker coming up in one hour. You heard it from ROY Adams in our eight o'clock news. Nikola Delo lefty from TCU, let that Mario lefty from TCU is the first round draft choice of the reds, seventh over all he is a left handed pitcher. This is a kid from California, who was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the second round of the two thousand sixteen draft and he was the highest draft choice that year to not song didn't sign with the pirates elected to go to TCU, and there did quite well, he's twenty one years old. He was named an all big twelve first team, performer end of the draft at the top pitching prospect is rated by baseball America in sixteen starts this year with TCU he pitched to a two point three six ERA with one hundred and thirty one strikeouts. Over one hundred and third innings holding opposition opposing batters to a two or three batting average while posting an impressive zero point nine eight whip. You know what I love about this in nowhere? This little bio of his does it mention win loss records, I've made a vow on my show on ESPN fifteen thirty two never mentioned a pitchers win loss record because it is a terrible metric, and there is nothing about his win loss record here, he is the first picture taken in this year's draft mentioned, twenty one years old, a lefty, and we'll hopefully between now and nine o'clock at a chance to chat with Nikola velo first round draft choice of the reds, seventh over all the consensus that I'm getting from following people on Twitter who really follow this stuff is good pick of fine pitcher, maybe not quite as sexy, if you will, of compared to the last three first round choices the reds, which you go back to Nick sons L, that's paying early dividends hundred green, who unfortunately has paid no dividends to the reds, but was for a lot of people a no brainer with the second overall pick last year. Jonathan India, third baseman from Florida, who is currently. In the red system right now. And recently has been doing quite well anyway, Nick Novello the pitcher from TCU first round draft choice of the red seventh overall, hopefully get a chance to spend a couple of minutes. Chatting with him between now and nine o'clock. You know, we were talking before somebody calling up, it's, it's really hard to kind of figure out where the reds are going next. I don't think it is. I don't think it really is. And I talked about this, and people take it as all you just want to blow the team up. I don't wanna blow the reds up at all a part of the plan. This year was the most likely of the three scenarios either the reds are going to be terrible. Okay. Or great. The most likely scenario was okay. Chances are they're going to win more games than they did the last four years. And there's a good chance. That's the case, chances are the reds won't win enough games to contend for anything. I think you've had to have eighty seven wins minimum sense, the reds since the second wildcard team was instituted in two thousand twelve eighty seven wins for the reds to finish with eighty seven wins, they'd have to go sixty and forty three that, that doesn't seem like I hope it happens, but it doesn't seem likely so barring that it big part of the plan was, we got a bunch of dudes who are not going to be here or at least not under contract next year. And so I think the prevailing thought for the front office was we might have a chance around the trade deadline. To get younger to add to our pipeline of prospects or to even add guys who are already at the big league level, but who are controllable, and maybe that involves the SEO, maybe that involves a Jose Iglesias maybe that involves a Jared Hughes or David Hernandez. Maybe it involves a scooter genetic or Alex wood or a ten ten a Roark this team went into the season with a lot of guys who are not under contract for next year. You don't have to trade all of them. In fact, you can re-sign some of them, I'd be more than happy if a reasonable contract, Jose Lacey's was here, but the job, he's done at shortstop. I heard Marty say it on the radio broadcast yesterday for the second time I've heard him say this. That is a guy that you would pay to watch play. He is that good defensively and he's been far from zero at the plate. But the bottom line is the reds do have a lot of guys who really don't project to be major parts of this team. Whatever it's good again. But. That's not blow it up. That's add to what they already have because the crux of this team for me for as much fun as Derek Dietrich has been that as much fun as we can be the, the real meat of this franchise right now is this core of guys who are already here who look like they could be the nucleus of a club that in a couple of years could be quite good next season. Barring something totally unforeseen. The reds we'll have a one two at the top of the rotation. That includes Louise castio and sunny, gray, by the way sunny grant, roughly ten mil per year for the next three years. I think is a pretty good bargain. They will have playing somewhere centerfield or somewhere else. They will have Nick sends out. They will have a you Haney Suarez who might be the face of the team right now and is arguably their best player and yes, they'll still have Joey Votto who at the very least start to hit a little bit recently. The minor league level. There's Tony santee and tailored for Mel, Jose Siri Jonathan India sooner rather than later, and, yeah, there's good questions about where some of these guys are gonna play. But those are good good questions to have. So I kind of feel like as frustrating is that might be in the moment watching them lose two out of three to a Washington team that does played better? But it's still not that good. As frustrating as it was to watch them. Go three and four on a homestand, where a lot of us looked at it as an opportunity to really kind of make a move over the last week. The eyes have been on the prize for me all along. And I kind of feel like it's, it's been maybe not as knowledged as someone like, but a part of the plan was get better this year from last year. But more importantly, kinda, cultivate that core little bit. And by the way, there's good questions about that. Chorus Jesse Winker really a huge part of it. And if so, how much could Scott Shutler who's in Louisville right now. Be a part of that. What kind of player is Joey Votto, going to be in a couple of years, because he is undeniably, a part of that. And is there somebody like an Alex wood or Jose glazes or a scooter Ginette, or even I'll go ahead? And say even though I don't think it's going to happen. Yes. Yelp league that could could ultimately still be a part of that, because the reds extend them, but they do have. I mean, I think if you're if you're looking at teams that could be in sell mode around July thirty first reds are in a pretty good place where they have kind of a little of everything. Bench guys bullpen guys starters, outfielders infielders guys can play multiple positions left handed hitters right handed hitters you don't need to trade them all and you're not trading them just so everything must go. You're not doing it to liquidate your team. You're doing it in an effort to add assets to what they already have a minor league system that has a better place, than it was when this rebuild started a big league roster that in many respects is in better shape than it was, when this rebuild started, that's not a pessimistic point of view to say that they should really think about selling off parts that they should go into sell mode. It's actually pretty optimistic point of view that, if they make smart decisions and make good moves, and don't allow themselves to become too emotionally attached to players, along with making a smart signing or two among guys they already have they could really put themselves in a place where serious contention, is not that far off. I think if you look at it that way, this is not about purging the roster fire sale blow it up. And by the way, the reds do have seven or eight weeks to change the conversation. But the longer this goes and by this, I mean, you know, four games under five games under first place at arm's length wildcard maybe closer to arms length, but a lot of teams between them in the wildcard spot. I think it becomes a more and more important part of the conversation because I think it was always a very important part of what this.
