Washington and this Washington team is excited. Guys. Come on. This is what we're talking about. You got the whole crew there. You had Bram Weinstein on the call. You have Julie Donaldson, who we've known for years. Loved Julie DeAngelo Hall, mix it in some Some work at the end Washington Football Network Final score 27 17 He give props big time to Washington. Which college produces the best NFL talent?
"A special edition of N._F._l.. Live on deck today at the N._F._l.. Celebrates one hundred season just six weeks away however we are just five weeks away in college. Football Opens It one hundred fiftieth the anniversary so today welcome N._F._l.. You were combining the two worlds to answer age-old question what college produces the best n._F._l.. Talent however I'm Wendy net sand Hutus here you know what's better to be on this panel our expert notice icy expert telling me when Lewis Minute of her panter on the list not on the House for back the quarterback guru he and his brother in a lot of N._F._l.. Games James A lot and Ryan Clark. You see the L. L._S._U.. They are ills college football. L. Is Jonathan Vilma bike. He will join US shortly. He happened to win a National Championship and Oh by the way a super bowl as well coming up on N._F._l.. Live will break down position by position which college produces the best quarterback Oklahoma has the number one overall pick the last two years we have the top ten plays all the N._F._l.. Superstars when they were in college and answering big question which school produces the best all time N._F._l.. Talent we had to ask the players themselves to kick things off. We're the first pick quarterback Oklahoma Viva say Oklahoma Alabama Clemson because proven it is one atop factory the Ohio state highest in Alabama. 'cause I never lost beat out. You really can't understand it into your inside. Sadness programming is all about the you for N._F._l.. Because of Georgia in every aspect but I think L._S._U.. CRESA environment of gray competition and guys is trying to feed off of IT University of Pittsburgh. You Got Dorset. Dan Marina you got Larry. Fitzgerald was not a me show. It's about having everybody involved in working for the Sandal clumps in would cushman he's been doing. He's making people believe everything is possible for House is the best our stop it. Stop stuff well. Let's start shall we with the most players from each college currently in the N._F._l.. Alabama leads the way with V with sixty five players players followed by Ohio state in second place with fifty eight so we're going to debate these schools I in terms of who is best at producing N._F._l.. Challenge here's a tale of the tape on Alabama at Ohio state success since the two thousand draft folks tools I have had thirty one first round picks the most of any school while the Buckeyes have thirteen more total picks in the last twenty drafts but Bama's players have been slightly more successful in the league producing three more pro bowlers than Ohio St Louis Rick. Let's start with with the crimson tide. They're starting eleven if you will offense and defense current N._F._l.. Talent there's any question that these are both very impressive lineups that if Alabama can roll these teams out there right now now. I think they'd win a few games without a doubt. If you look at the offense aside outside of the ball the first thing that jumps out of these starting eleven are the two wide receivers look Julio. Jones is one of the finest athletes in the N._F._l.. For guardless of position he's in the news right now because he's about to get a new contract extension and he's really one of the he's one of the transcendent players at the position that this game the scene Amari Cooper the same way. When Amari came out of college? I remember doing his tape in thinking point honestly as far as catching one pet and run wide receiver. I hadn't seen one as good as him as him. In a long long time on the defensive side look they have fine players throughout the eleven here really that when you get to the secondary and you guys like Eddie Jackson Landon Collins I mean these guys are disband tastic players on the front dont`a hightower our multiple time superbowl winner. These are great great players right here. Make our way to Columbus shower of the to Ohio state you go to the offense side of the football. Look the first thing that jumps out without a doubt as Ezekiel Elliott because if he's not the best running back in the N._F._l.. He would be considered a top three running back in the N._F._l.. Wide Receiver Michael Thomas Really someone who was unheralded coming out of college. He's a tremendous tremendous. Pro will probably be the highest paid wide receiver in the N._F._l.. In short time then move over to the defensive side of the ball this this is where really this football team really kind of jumps off the board starting up Front Joey Bosa Cam Hayward those are two of the best defense alignment in the N._F._l.. Right now and then when you look down there at the Secondary Malcolm Dyson Dinkins Denzel Ward Marshon Lattimore doesn't let's get much better than that. All right Jonathan Vilma made his way again surly qualified to weigh in on this discussion. Look I mean there's a shortage of talent with either of these squads. It's almost ridiculous factory and a lot of ways both of these institutions but let the debate again a Ryan Clark. You can't pick L._S._U.. Just yet but when you look at this group what stands out L._S._U.'s better than both of these things we're gonNA get to that. We're supposed to be talking outlets. Let's be honest. There's amazing players. Neither one of them have a quarterback right before proven yet though little I mean why don't we always have to see something first before we can get you well Ray Richardson running back right you saw God compare that with you why time gentlemen we're GonNa play Nice Got Ninety minutes ago. You're the Glenn Difference from every other position that we're looking at okay fair enough now back to you Louis. It is a production results oriented industry. Is it not so it is fair to say seeing something. Does one believe they'll be success won't sure but I mean we're we'll see this is kind of like a combination of what they have done in college. What some of these guys have done in the pros in some of it's a little bit of projecting about what they're gonNA continue to do in the pros? That's how I'm going to expand it to that all right so at quarterback quarterback Dwayne Haskins I believe right now. There's no comparison as far as I don't care what A._J.. McCarron did it Alabama cows tape. Those Wayne has close exact Haskins is going to be a fine football player. What's going to happen to him? Really is going to be more predicated on what Washington redskins overall due to him then what he does to himself. I firmly believe that as far as these rousers overall look the wide receiver position Julio Jones Amari Cooper. Julio Jones's the standard if you go and look N._F._l.. For an offices and look in their scouting books books every team has a standard at every position that they put for scouts the suit for as far as whenever when their scouting people polio is going to be on that list for for many many teams he's about as good as it gets so skill positions at Alabama are awesome. The defensive players at Ohio State is what stands out for me as far as their front seven is concerned particularly their defensive line and their secondary Denzel Award Marshon Lattimore. You tell me a team that wouldn't take those two young men right now and startled. Let me ask you a specific question since you spend some time as an analyst watching these players at the collegiate level if you had to choose either of this group Alabama Ohio state who's players really got better or who took a bigger step forward than you anticipated when they got to the N._F._l.. Out To you to dance your last part no neither standout. They're pretty equal because watching these guys watching Jonathan Allen he played okay well Dante. I'll tell you knew who is going to be tremendous player defensive player C._J.. Moseley's same thing and then you go to the other side and you look at Joey Bosa Nick Bosa Darren like Malcolm Jenkins. I play with Malcolm Jenkins in in New Orleans knew he was going to be a study. He's Philistine but what is surprising how fast or House they defense is. I did not realize how fast defensive you think big ten you didn't big Brawley guys not so fast but these guys can move joey. Bosa also can move nick volks in Darren League. We know the Burner Malcolm J. Denzel War March. I mean that is a very very talented athletic fast fast defense. I thought I was going to jump in your rookie. I think that's a great question Wendy about as far as what teams teams have players that have gotten better pros. You look at Ohio state this look at their offense. In particular Michael. Thomas was a good wide receiver to hire Stayton. He's fantastic now. He's GonNa be highest paid wide receiver in the N._F._l.. Andrew Norwell most people wouldn't even know Andrew Norwell well what from Andrew Doorbell he right now just judge Moore Norwell can't open open some N._F._l.. Spectacular and even on the defensive side of the ball. I didn't think Marshon lattimore. I've liked Marshon Lattimore at Ohio state. I didn't love Marcet. He has taken his game to another level as well in the really own Alabama side you know how I feel about Alabama I feel nick and what he does and how he builds his program but really focus on their offense align that was just look okay and think about that question. Wendy Wendy asked how many players have gotten better how many have continued to improve Andre Smith may have his best days at Alabama. Dame's carpenter has really been good pro Brian Kelly the jury still out he could be a he's a good player. He's GonNa play already in Indianapolis D._J.. fluker was he ever ever really that guy that dominant guy no. He hasn't been Cam Robinson. Have you seen story so it's interesting because they're preventing people have been many people who've hit Alabama and said they get the best out of their players at Alabama. Maybe it's good discussion legal where people go by what teams there drafted so we look at Michael Thomas he falls into a place where he needs an accurate passer and he's one of the most accurate passers all the time also about the place you land in ashore and how they develop you ask Josh Rosen he absolutely he knows that all too well. I ten Hasselbeck. The whole point of this is to pick one of our producers here a little bit we talked. I'm going Alabama mainly change quarterbacks. Yeah I think looks great point about the offensive line at Alabama because so many of them when you look at them just in terms of body type you're like Oh my God look at those guys body type wise but like I don't know that some of those guys have come in and be like Oh and they got a whole lot better. We're obviously splitting hairs here on this ongoing Alabama Lewis Sorry Nick. Oh from a hustle change your mind or did you stick the way said one because I don't care if between Haskins hasn't played. I think he's I think he's in the saints. Stratosphere is A._J.. McCarron so I like that I liked it their offense of line one of the things that talked about how they develop those guys on the defense aside but they're fun four plus their secondary this going with them Ryan Clark you have to pick one while I was brought here for one reason in one reason only when the Knicks because everyone knew it my answers it would be and what Tim Hasselbeck has proven is. You don't need a quarterback. That's really he's GonNa be Ohio state in Alabama that don't have quarterbacks guess what we don't need a quarterback back and by the way you don't want our first off was good enough for Bill Belichick your boy to draft him as Tom Brady's heir-apparent draft. We thought they they went to L._S._U.. Because this guy has what they decided to we throwing the ball all around the field Andrew Whitworth he's played a thousand years. There's a Guy Jerry go look at the Neil hundred may has like negative two percent body fat Michael Broncos out. There aren't key. We gotta wait on them but it's are are you at the back of position. That's all we got mad. I gotTa get here all even have to work conviction when you spoke scissors. I'm sorry I just so tim. I love your twenty. Two question your toughness Whoa West I've seen because as you know what fair enough he's at Alabama alum landon dare you wait into the circus that we've created. But what do you have to say about this. Whole debate ain't Ryan got some good good good stuff going on say? I wouldn't question his toughness at all. I don't know why you questioned Ryan toughness. I saw him not got a lot of Alabama's always number one no matter Corolla tyrod. Let me ask you a serious question. You know obviously nick. Sabin is a hall of Famer one of the best ever coach this game but specifically what does he do that has allowed such historic success at the university. Steve Alabama <hes> as a coach he speaks for as a coach. He represents his players as players coach. I would say he makes all this coach. All the players are on the him as a player as a father <hes> <hes> and as a as many tried to teach us they'd be a man and a great play all at one time you know so he does it all leading. Can you please tell the people why you are now better that you have trusted your career training with the guy from L._S._U.. Hey right you agreed trying to grow been gone on gone for years

"Siefert wrote a story on ESPN the NFL's made tentative plans to push forward with its original plan for introducing pass interference to replay review setting aside, for now a series of tweaks suggested last month by the competent competition committee, according to an update sent to its teams yesterday. The league CITIC it expects to have the replay official initiate, all potential reviews including pass interference in the final two minutes of each half overtime. I thought they figured it out thought they figured out what the problem was with, that would be the, the competent competition committee after thinking about this from the league meetings in Zona came back and said, look, the if we're going to re if we're gonna leave it up. To the booth. There's contact on a lot of these throws. Are we going to be stopping play on every single pass or every other pass in the final two minutes? We gotta leave this up to coaching challenge in the final two minutes when it comes to PI, if not, we're gonna have excessive clock stoppages in the final two minutes of the half in games. But some coaches apparently didn't like it because it was going to impact their timeout strategy for the final two minutes. I this is a disaster in the making, I really do feel that way. I mean, the hail met remember what they were going to do with hell Mary's the hail Marys were, were going to be basically exempt exempt from all of that. This is this is a bad idea. I think they had the right idea month ago. And now they're backing off that right idea the bottom line now is picture the final two minutes of a half regain. Especially a game with a team trailing. That's throwing try to come back. There's a lot of contact a lot of contacted, the typically let go that you're now going to have the booth required to review for potential PI and that's going to stop the clock in the final two minutes for these booth reviews over and over again. I at least that's the way I see it may be a making too much out of something that won't be an issue. But you just doesn't NFL fan have to picture the final two minutes of a half overtime. You get more throws during that period of time. And there's a lot of contact, you know, a lot of jostling between receiver and defender for a ball. And now, what are you going to do with those, or you're gonna review, all of them that aren't flagged or you're gonna review, all of them, that are flagged? I would have left it up to a coach's challenge. I think that would have been the best thing in the best way to handle it. And I bet they eventually get around to that down the road. One last thing I forgot to mention this. I had this written down in its Redskins related the Redskins announced a bunch of hires yesterday scouts cetera. But there is one higher in particular that got my attention. The Redskins hired pro football focuses Connor Barringer. Right. He's from pro football focus, Connor Barringer, and they hired Connor Barringer to the role of football strategy analyst, and this is sort of a continuation I guess in the Redskins looking into in investing. Analytics? I want Connor baron on the show as soon as possible. I wanna know what he's role is. I want to know what kind of football strategy. He's going to be involved in info. Thing. Is this just an analytics role or is this a game strategy Rowley a clock management role? Perhaps, we gotta get Connor Barringer.

"Make sense or less one and all that you run the draft is week from last night. I think any any surprises. Is it Williamson Moran? Barrett one two three. I think that's where we're looking at. And then after that, it's going to be why, you know, a wide open, you know, when we get to the Lakers, four, if they're picking at four right? Right. There's something in the works with Davis before then, you know, it's, it's a matter of preference. When you look at players in that range with, you know, the hunter and jerk covert dairies Carlin Washington's at nine. You know the one player that we've kinda linked is say, Kudo Mboya from played over and France and had a tremendous individual where I'm not, I don't get sold on individual workouts. But you know he worked out for teams over the weekend and really impressed. I think kinda put a lot of fears aside. So, yeah, I think the draft is wide open. I think you're gonna see teams moving around. I think land with three picks eight ten in seventeen could be pretty active often would fourteen twenty twenty two could be certainly active here. So I think it's, you know, it's not doesn't have the appeal as last year when Don-Shik and trae young. But I think for the fan, it'll be interesting because we just don't know after won't after pick three. I lied. One last one, whomever. The GM is, whether it's Jiri, or it's Tommy Sheppard, or Danny Ferrier, whomever. It is, will they keep Beal or trade them before Thursday? I think he'll be on the Rosser pass the pass Thursday. And you know someone that's when you move him for like fourth-biggest zapping. Yeah. Maybe if it was two thousand three and my head wait Bosch, LeBron. And in that group tonight from but I don't see I don't see anything in this in this draft that makes sense right now. And I think Bradley two years if he was on an expiring. It's a little different. I think Bradley two years, and I think let the person who is going to be in charge figure out that. And I think that could be something during the summer as far as what, what the what direction you go with him. Bubby as always. Thanks so much time. Follow Bobby on Twitter at Bobby marks forty two. He's really good. And really knows the league and really understands the economics of the league better than anybody out there. I really appreciate the time as always. Thanks luck impre- sheet. Thank you. I enjoy Bobby Marx, he does a great job. And he's a great read to when he writes about the. League you know, I was thinking the postseason, I think I've referred to a couple of times already. But this now I mean, I'm into golf, so I'll be watching the US open this weekend. But then after that, you know, we don't have any games. I mean if you're into baseball and June, July and the grind of the baseball season, that's fine. And NATs loss last night, and Fags. He had a no hitter going into seventh last night in the nets lost their first of four against Zona two straight losses. Now for the nets, and this important, you know, homestand of eleven games starts off with five nothing loss at home. But men do the NHL playoffs in the NBA, playoffs that, that, you know, work together. They, they run simultaneously it take a long time to it's two months start to finish. It's two months. It's, it's like basically half of NFL season. You know is the postseason in the NHL and NBA playoffs in both of them produced the Stanley Cup finals had a game seven the NBA finals. In Bobby agrees with me. I mean the last two games in particular were just high level great basketball games with so much going on in them. And the funny thing about the NBA is I do agree with a lot of you. I, I don't sit there and watch a lot of, of NBA games. You know, in November, December January February while the football season's going on. I watched the wizards, you know, I it's rare that I don't catch a wizards game if it's on, I'm a glutton for punishment as far as that's concerned, but it's really it's hard, you know, to sit there and watch, you know, in the middle of January a game on TNT on Thursday night..

"So your predictions or what that they both end up staying there for next year underwriting deals. I. Yeah. I think the if Durant doesn't that means I think it's a signal that, you know what happened as far as how his medical care with manage wrote that, that there's, there's a little bit of bitter taste there. So for a player that is coming off Achille has an achilles injury into leave, what is it six fifty to sixty million dollars on a table by taking a four year deal somewhere? I think that probably says something to that. But yeah, I, I would think that certainly clay would be back. I think Durant will be kind of undecided right now but it would not, not surprise me. He's in a were uniform. We're talking about him coming back in two thousand twenty Bobby, don't you think teams need to be careful with a thirty year old coming off in a Killys injury with respect to that kind of money or not? Oh, I think there's two two reasons why one is that where the where the max allies are nowadays. It's not like it was, you know, ten years ago Levin years ago when guys are sixteen mid sixty eighteen million dollars. And, you know with their answer, it's, you know, thirty eight forty forty two forty four million dollars. And that's a, that's a large number of segue thing is too, is that the contract is not insurable now, you know, for his for the Killy. So he's out more than forty one gains, you're not going to get any insurance reimbursement here, it will be an exclusion on, on the on the same clay, too. I mean the same factor there. So, yeah, I think you have to I think you have to weigh that I think if you are teams like Brooklyn, New York, where the clippers and you're looking at can we get a Kevin Durant as a free agent for three or four years, knowing that the summer of two thousand twenty six years, not strong. That's the risk that they are going to have to kinda decide upon where disquiet end up. I think I think he'll be in the clipper uniform, I do, I think, you know, you've, we haven't heard anything from his can't. So it's hard. I think I'm just really just speculating, but really he's been non-committal even after they wanna championship last year. I think you'll mistake, the Brana pro-choice. Hey, I did everything. I can't hear a championship now kinda neck onto my next onto my next phase in my life here. The one that I would or no is for him is that I think the Katie injury. And certainly, the, the Klay injuries is a warning for all the NBA got all on the players that if teams are willing to give you four or five years, that you take, I think today's taking short term contract to go into free agency, a phone, you and keep your options Oper open. I think those are long gone, and I know LeBron was able to do it in Cleveland, but LeBron never got injured before he got a Laker she and he can his body could handle that here. So I do think you know if you're asking a couple of weeks. Before free agency, where she CLYDE, you think would be an eclipsing you'd think if he goes to the clippers and the clippers don't add anybody else than they just keep what they have that the clippers are a title contender next year. I think they're up there. They move into the top four and I think based on what we saw from Colli this year. They would basically return most of the same parts with down Ari and Gil out danger mantras Earl Williams. You know, that group will see what, what they do with the remaining balance of, of, of cap space here that, that a heck of a coach in, in, in Doc Rivers show. Yeah. I think I think that the, the rant Thomson out for most of next year just really opens up the NBA..

"And then in these finals, the games three and four in the stretching game five, you know before the Nick nurse timeouts just breathtaking to watch him play. He was the best defensive. Player on the floor much of the time he's the third player to win the MVP on two separate teams Kareem in LeBron or the other to cream did it with the bucks in the Lakers. Lebron did it with the Cavs and the heat he's the fourth player in NBA history to win the finals MVP in his first season with the team magic did it as a rookie. Moses Malone did it in his first year with the seventy Sixers and Durant. Did it just a few years ago in his first year with the warriors? But here's a here's a something that, really I think, reflects what coli Leonard was over this stretch of the twenty nineteen playoffs. He led the entire league in points, rebounds and steals during this postseason the first player to lead in all three of those statistical categories since Larry Bird did it in nineteen eighty four. He was since able in this postseason. He proved what many thought that was that he was a, a major mistake made by the Spurs to tiff not figure that out with him. I mean, coli Leonard, basically somebody called me this morning early this morning and said, quite Leonard is getting going to be the first player in history to end four dynasties. He ended the Miami Heat dynasty, he ended the Spurs dynasty by leaving. He ended the warriors dynasty and he's about to end this short lived Toronto dynasty. Of course, it's not a dynasty. I hope he comes back is an NBA fan. I hope he comes back to Toronto. I'd like to watch that team next year. You know, try to defend the title as it as the team we saw here in the postseason. He'll probably go to LA. I guess I don't know. There's a player option for twenty one point three million. I hope he stays, by the way, the. Raptors became the first NBA champion since nineteen sixty six to win the title without a top fourteen draft drafted player. So a lottery pick didn't have a lottery nineteen sixty six but a top fourteen pick overall first NBA champion. Nothing says about the NBA more than than that. Well, that's not necessarily true because the drafted position doesn't necessarily mean anything, but it really is a, a sport were you? It's about the players you have to have the best players, or you don't win titles, by the way, the raptors finished four. No. At oracle this year, three and own in the NBA finals. And they won their only regular season game there. And we saw NBA finals this year where the final five games of the series were won by the road team. That's amazing. You don't see that a lot in the NBA postseason, but Kowa. Is Ron was magical. I loved watching it. I love listening to Kyle Lowry talk about Kowa Leonard after the game. He said, quote, I told him day one, this is your team. I'm gonna make sure you're the man. And when he did special things I told him he was the man and quiet Leonard said about Lowry. That's just the type of guy. He is he wants to win very competitive player like I said before Kyle's been a big help with me and my transition just knowing things throughout the city and obviously basketball close quote. And speaking of that city, my God, that city partied last night, there were shots of downtown Toronto like you. I, I mean I, I don't know that I've ever seen that for an NBA celebration. Apparently this was going on in many cities in Canada last night. It's funny because it was a country win more than it was just a city win. But that that. Franchise in that team last night, really really deserved it. I enjoyed watching it. I thought it was great. You said that you told me before the show, the number did a thirteen point eight last night for game, six thirteen to thirteen to not great, but better than the early games. I think in the series. Yes, I believe..

"I thought it was terrible curried in when they're down one eleven one await basically tripped up himself. And they call the foul actually thought the warriors were getting the benefit of the whistle last night, even though they seem to be complaining that they weren't, by the way, also on Draymond green. Let's not forget, he called that time out. But really that actually gave a chance because rolling around on the ground with one second left. There was no way with no timeouts. They were going to be able to do with Virginia. Did you know against Purdue? Right. Nat elite eight game where they were able to, to, to throw the ball and get a shot off before the buzzer sounded the, the clock would have run out taking that time out, even though it was a technical foul actually gave him. A chance. You know, not much of a chance, but more of a chance down the stretch, but a terrific close out game ton of drama. And of course, it had co Leonard the obvious MVP who was not the go-to guy last night. Interestingly enough, he wasn't his presence allowed everything else to happen for Toronto. They were running double teams Adam all night long. But what a run historic run two months of brilliant, certainly the last month. Anyway, you know, people forgot about him. I wanted the wizards last year and the radio show I said last year Aaron I want the wizards to trade the entire team for quite Leonard. I don't care if he's here for a year, they, you have to have somebody like him to have a chance to contend for title. Many of you out there lectured me on how stupid that would have been an item. I'm not saying the wizards would have been in the position that the raptors were last night, had they traded the entire team for quiet Leonard, but you don't have a chance. Without an elite superstar in the NBA. And he is that this postseason run of his is all time. Great. The shot to end the Philly series was the first ever, this was a shocker to me. I ever game seven buzzer-beater. I can't believe in the history of the game that there wasn't another game. Seven buzzer beating game winner. His was the first in NBA history to close out the Sixers. He scored seven hundred thirty two points in this postseason, third most in NBA history behind Michael, Jordan, and LeBron James, his performances down the stretch in the Milwaukee series, in particular, after they fell behind in that series two games to none were incredible..

"So I think a lot of that probably came in, in the next portion of his career, anyway. One quick note on Steph curry. He looked off to me all night long. It looked to me. Like losing the series was in eventuality in his mind. I I'm projecting here. I understand that I but the Durant injury. I think took some life out of the franchise and out of curry in particular he took just seventeen shots last night. Not a lot for Steph curry, especially given who wasn't on the floor last night. He had just one shot attempt in the first ten and a half minutes of the game last night. He got fouled on. It went to the free throw line just one shot attempt in the first ten and a half minutes of the game. And I think just three in the first quarter in total. He just didn't look like Steph last night. I didn't like the look all might long friend of mine texted me last night. It was third quarter. I think he said, look at curry, he's not into it, and this is where my friend doc Walker when his his sort of theory of not talking about injured players not talking about players who aren't playing in the game next man up. I think the warriors needed that to be more of the conversation. The last few days, it was way too much anguish grief over an injury to Kevin Durant, a serious injury. I get it. But it was not more about, hey, you know what next man up we're down three two in the NBA finals. I think Thomson green played like their lives depended on it last night. I didn't think Steph did he? I'm a huge fan of step who knows maybe it was just an off night for him. And I don't wanna beat to death. You know the what? Beaten to death last few days about the him being in the team being so broken up over the Durant injury. But I cannot imagine Michael Jordan being so broken up over let's say an injury to Scotty Pippin where he would take just seventeen shots in the limitation game. And just one shot in the first ten and a half minutes of an elimination game. He's one of my favorite players. He just didn't look up to it last night in my view, the game, by the way, just had everything it had it had everything, especially if you're really, in to basketball, nerd basketball, like the raptors playing continuing to play some boxing one plankton zone. The warriors played a bunch his own last night for the first time in this series especially with cousins on the floor because he was really struggling in the pick and roll defensively. Siaka was a beast. They could not stop him from getting to the rim. When he wanted to drain on green was one technical foul away from his suspension like missing game seven had they won. Did he? Not look like he was pushing it there in moments last night with referees now I watched all of the press conferences last night post game press conferences after the game last night. And Draymond said he was too smart to get one in those were more conversations and good relationships. But there are a couple of outbursts from green, I don't think they were gonna teach them up unless he really said something offensive. But by the way on Draymond green is anybody Philip a stat sheet like Draymond green does last night, nineteen rebounds, thirteen assists, eleven points, three steals, two blocks and eight turnovers. You know, including a crucial one down the stretch Draymond green. I mean, a stat sheet stuffer and plays as hard, as anybody does a winner through, and through eight turnovers aren't great put look at what he does for you on the positive side, by the way they missed an offense of goaltending. Call on him in. Fact, the warriors is I mentioned, there was a lot of complaining a little bit. You know of what was me? I think here over the last couple of days, they missed an offensive goaltending. Call on Draymond green. There was a call late in the game were cousins plowed over Lowery and they called Lowry for the foul. I thought it was terrible curried in when they're down one eleven one await basically tripped up himself. And they call the foul actually thought the warriors were getting the benefit.

"I don't know if they would have beaten a Kevin Durant healthy warriors team. I'm just saying they could have I don't think it would have been as much of a given as many do because I think history's going to remember this series as the title that Toronto one because Kevin Durant didn't play. And then, by the way, Klay Thompson in the midst of having a great game in game, six thirty points, and thirty one minutes, tours ACL late in the third quarter and couldn't play in the fourth quarter of a game that the warriors, I think history will remember this the warriors would have probably one to force game seven I don't know that they would have probably won last night had. Klay Thompson stayed in the game or not look they beat. They had already won in this series three games against against the warriors with Klay Thompson healthy in in, in the series. So it's a series it's going to be remembered for who didn't play. I'm gonna choose to remember it as a championship earned by a really, really good team. The other thing I'll remember from this series. Aaron is having bet on the same team in every single game of these NBA finals. I bet on Toronto six straight games and I went four one in one with the with the raptors in the series it's funny, because you know that I picked the warriors to win the series before it started. But each night we'd sit here before each game. And we would talk about the number, and I would I'd said each night, I'm gonna play Toronto, and I felt last night was the night I thought they were going to close him out last night, I didn't play him on the money line played them plus the points. But yeah, Toronto four one in. One against the number. So the last two weeks were not only entertaining for me but profitable as well. You know the game last night was high level sports entertainment. I, I don't get the people and I have a lot of friends that feel this way, they're huge sports fans. But they tell me that they don't watch the NBA I get the NBA regular season. All right, the playoffs though it's a completely different product than the regular season. I'm not sure that in any of the four professional sports there such a difference between the postseason and they're in the regular season may be hockey. But the NBA is completely different sport in the postseason and it's great theater. I'm not talking about the off the court stuff. I'm talking about these games. They were great. And last night was incredible theater. There was another major injury. You know, but that even brought incredibly compelling moment. In the game last night, Klay. Thompson tears ACL leaves the floor but comes right back out of the tunnel..

"Jonathan Allen will be a guest on the show today. He's playing in a golf tournament. We'll get him for about ten to fifteen minutes will do that in about a half an hour. Also, Bobby marks from ESPN will be on with us to talk about the NBA finals, certainly and the story that broke last night from Adrian. Whoa. Dang arouse ski at ESPN that Ted Leonsis in the wizards are going to offer Toronto GM messiah Jiri, a massive deal. A massive deal were ten million dollars a year and equity ownership in the team to come to Washington. So we'll talk to Bobby about that, but we. We start with the Toronto Raptors deserving. NBA champions fortunate. Yes, fortunate that they faced a team that didn't have Kevin Durant and were missing Klay Thompson for the fourth quarter of the deciding game last night. Yes, that's true. But deserving that was a damn good basketball team that we watched over the last couple of months, and then watched in particular in these NBA finals with a true superstar playing really over the last two months better than he's ever played before co I Leonard though, didn't do it by himself. You know, this wasn't LeBron leading Iman Shumpert, Matt, Della Vedova, and Timothy Mazda. Van Mike Miller to within two games of title back in twenty fifteen Leonard had help Kyle Lowry was spectacular in these finals last night. Scoring the first eleven points, setting the tone, early Siachen was great at times. Specially last night, Mark assault surge Bacha. How about? This series of Baca had and Fred van bleep was so clutch last night and throughout these NBA finals, they were all instrumental in Toronto winning title. They stepped up big time in these finals even more than they had in the raptors previous series wins over the bucks and seventy Sixers fortunate. Yes. That they got to face a championship team. A didn't I die nasty team? All right at less than full strength, but they were the superior team for much of these finals so much so that I believe Erin, call me nuts. I believe after watching these raptors over the last couple couple of months, the last month in particular, I think they could have beaten a full strength Golden State team in a best seven will never know. All right. We'll never know for sure, but this was not a case in my view of a teen being gifted title. I, I didn't feel that way watching this team. I don't know if I'd go as far as you and say, I mean, they could have beaten, I don't know if I would say they would have beaten a fully healthy team. But here is fact, they won what twenty two twenty one of the twenty four quarters that were played. Yeah. They were for seventy five percent of this series. They were the superior team and it wasn't even really close during the seventy five percent of that time..

"Jonathan Allen back in for Sean Hannity, while he travels back to the United States almost sounded like Rick, Shannon, right there a little bit. So anyway, we got Scott Scott your finger still on the radio on the on the radio on the phone with us and Scott. So here's what I ask. You the first part of the show. I was talking about the ideology in the family tree, the politics the media, and how worldwide they are able to push this this global movement Ford, if we look at the headlines right now, it's on Fox News at Cox's dims embrace reparations. Border wall construction green new deal. I don't know about the border wall destruction. Okay. So they embrace reparations border wall destruction and green new deal, which is going to bankrupt the country now when you look at South Africa, and when you look at Australia, and you look at all these other places around the world where they have moved to take away guns in its systematic happens the same exact way get rid of the guns. Get rid of the conservative free speech get rid of border walls, bringing ref quote, unquote, refugees and then start reparations, right? There's no way that that is just systematically happening spontaneously in each country. And it's not connected is am I correct that way? I think people I think that there's what's happened is, you know, our education system has gotten to the point that that basically you're getting similar you're getting similar brilliant ideas, all over the globe that are all kind of leaning toward leaning towards socialism. You don't think? Let me let me give you a little pushback on there. You you ran opperations in other places in the country. You don't think I mean, you gotta say there's it is strange that the exact thing the exact way is happening at the exact same time in so many of these free countries that's two coincidence. But right. Well, that's that's true. But also a lot of this stuff has been happening from many years. I mean, a lot of this taken out of like the standard communist playbook. I mean minorities against one another is something that Stalin was doing in the nineteen twenty. I mean, you know, so there's certain tools into communist playbook that have been wholeheartedly adapted by like the liberal progressives in whether it's in western Europe, or in Canada or United States or on in Venezuela that that's been done to establish control over the people. And now with the rise of technology it allows it's it's a dream come true for the for even people like the Chinese with their with their soc. Social media scores about in China. They have everyone in the country. Now has a score of one thousand they monitor you intermittently on Facebook and social their social media and they start knocking points off. If you get below a certain limit. Let's say seven hundred points, you're not flying anywhere outside of China. And maybe below six hundred points, you're not allowed to take a train in China. So you know, what would have been my comedy? What would it have been like for you to run operations win? If social media was around when when you were because you got outright when social media started to get big, right? What would have been like how much easier with up? I mean, it would've it would've been it would've been absolutely a dream come true. Because for one thing the one thing about social media, for instance, let's say Lincoln people can check me on link. Then they can check you out unlinked in where on Twitter, and they can find more neither did this willingly. But they can find out more information from me in in thirty minutes than somebody in nineteen eighty could've. Have found out over a period of months about me. If I were some like target for an intelligence, this is the kind of information you to obtain from somebody slowly or maybe the agency or the FBI has some record of this person who's been met by previous people. But like if you're targeting someone for an operation this this now, this this information is at someone's fingertips. And of course, now if you're going to talk about a covert action, where which I did not do very much of where you're going to start basically forcing a narrative on a population to get them to go somewhere the way that the way the Russians turned on eastern Europe read after World War Two social media allows you to do that very efficiently. An extremely cheaply with a minimum of people. We see it every day now, and we just accept as a fact of life when it's not it's it's been twisted. And you know, when you look at the amount of conservative, speakers speaker off, social media and stuff. It's frightening. That's frightening. Development. We gotta break their God bless you. Brother have a great weekend. Scott you linger at the station chief on Twitter, go find him. Find me on Twitter at J Gilliam underscore seal, and Jonathan Gilliam on everything else and go get my book sheep. No, more the art of awareness and attack survival. We'll be right back. "Like, what does that? And then and then the the, you know in in the statement that Washington released after claiming foster they talk about how they you know, they'd talked to some of the Alabama players. I think they have like eight Alabama players seven on the teams they have a lot of but didn't even talk to like to the biggest ones which would be the defensive. I'm Jonathan Allen. And I can't remember what the other guy's name is now, but the two of the most notable Alabama players on their team. I think it was. I think it was high Clin Dixie didn't even talk to those guys. Like, so it makes you wonder. Okay. If you didn't talk to those guys who did you talk to? So that the whole thing is dislike man. And just you know, just the fact that like. Tunes. Are you're you're going to rush to claim Reuben foster, but like Khan cabinet. You know, can't get signed apparently Zelin down Washington. I saw like he has a personal vendetta. Excuse me against cabinet in. I'd seen like he had sworn that. They would never sign him which like, okay, whatever. But then they're they're going to rush out in sign or acclaim Reuben foster as fast as they possibly can. That's just it's just gross. It's sickening like innocent guilty. I get it. But like come on. Well, I mean, I guess I also kind of a little put off by the eagle's even bothering to contact the Tampa police, I give them credit for for doing that. But why would you even want to take that step? You know, why why why go that far just just just forget about the guy? Don't don't you. Don't want anywhere near your team. I mean, I I I'm glad they did do diligence and decided not to put in a claim. I think that's I think that's smart. And if you just want to say that it's just checking all your boxes to make sure then. Okay. But I also it's it does say something to me to the twenty nine other teams didn't even bother with that step. They didn't want anything to do. The guy. So join that's fair. You know, I don't think you can get outraged about it just because like they did they clearly first of all they passed over him in a draft. So they clearly had no intention of drafting him at least in the first round. This wasn't his verse incident for people who aren't aware of getting in trouble. So yeah. Yeah. And then the they didn't claim clearly so it's not like you can't be like all they wanted him. No, they didn't alternately. But and you know, I would I would hope they do homework on every player pretty much in any player. Just you know. So they know because I don't know try to get all the information. I think more information to me like never hurts. Like, what's the cost of it? It's just someone who it's taking someone's time. Like, that's the cost. And that's fine. They're getting paid like do your job find out. What's the deal is? Okay. It's not looking good. Okay. We can pass on this. I'm fine with that. So, but yeah, I get what you're saying. I think it's a fair point one other bit of news before we get into the injury report. And I don't have you might be able to pull this up before. I'm able to grab it here. But the eagles we knew that they had interest in jets wide receiver Robbie Anderson around the trade deadline, but we didn't know exactly what kind of compensation they were talking about. With New York was reported on on Thursday that the eagles offered a fourth round pick for for Anderson who's a stretch to field guy. And the jets turned down that deal, which makes sense given the fact that they'll probably get a a better draft pick in compensation if they don't resign Anderson but Anderson's not having a great year for New York. He's got twenty three catches for three hundred sixty eight yards and three touchdowns on pace for thirty three. Catch five hundred thirty five yard season. That's coming up nine hundred forty one yard seven touchdown season last year. And he's he's that field stretcher that we were saying the eagles really needed if they were going to get a wide receiver. And instead they gave a third round pick to for golden Tate, who is certainly a more accomplished wide receiver, but is a little bit redundant with what the eagles already have right now. So what are your?.

"Jonathan Allen welcome to on point high Magna. So what is the mood on campus following the tumbled of last week? After the initial decisions by the university and the of regents and now no more coach Durkin, a the president of the university saying he's going to step down. And and same thing happening with the head of the board of regents. Yeah. There there are several emotions flying around across campus after tumultuous week and really past few months. There was widespread outcry in response to loss Tuesday's announcement by the board of regents which really demonstrated a poor lack of judgment on their part. And and to show how out of touch the board really was an instance. And so how do students feel now though? I mean, there have there have been major changes is this what students want you feel like there has been Justice for Jordan. Look I've been saying that at the bare minimum firing coach jerkin wouldn't was what was needed to have Justice for Jordan. But that is just the first step in many steps the board failed to do the bare minimum and thankfully, president low corrected that decision after I urged him on Wednesday and several other stakeholders across the state, including the governor the board of trustees and many others. And so that was the bare minimum that the board fail to do. And that's not unfortunately, bring Jordan dot. But there are several steps than you tap intention or that this is not happen to any other player any other student on our couch, college campus and on campuses across the country. We'll so tell me a little bit more about that Jonathan what are one or two those steps that you and your fellow students would like the flooded program and the university to take. Yes. So first off I want to commend the courageous student athletes on candidates for speaking up. Given the the power dynamics in athletic programs across the country. I've heard from from players that have told me that they feel like their scholarships like their futures like their education is on the line if they speak up, and so we have to figure out how is the flooding department has universities. We can ensure that they feel comfortable to speak up when something doesn't look, right. When something is absolutely wrong has was the case in our football program several months ago. So so tell me, but since so your point taking on that. But again, what are one or two of the things that you the practical things the meaningful changes the steps. Now that you want to see the university take. Yeah. So one of the things that we now need to be looking at the recommendations in the report from the independent commission into how we can fix our policies and procedures, and especially our medical model to ensure that knacks in tragic incident like what happened several months ago with Jordan. Is not occurring. And so this needs to be outside of the line of reporting of our university. Which is a proposal. We saw that was on president lows desks months ago. And so that's one crucial step, but at the same time, this the trainers that were involved in all of this medical professional that should know how to identify each stroke, something that's a hundred percent curable. And there's been over four dozen incidents of dying college football since two thousand they they the board of regents recommended that they be reinstated. They're still on they need to be fired. They cannot they cannot oversee our our football program anymore. Well, Jonathan Ellen university of Maryland student body president he's helped organized protests over the university's handling of the death of Jordan McNair Jonathan. Thank you so much for joining us today. Really? Appreciate it. Thank you. David steel. Let me turn back to you hear how powerful would you? Describe these athletic programs as being I mean Maryland's in the big ten now, it's has has been for about six years. I'm seeing that revenues athletic revenues in the big ten or more than one and a half billion dollars per year. So how powerful does that make a football program in this conference? Well football program is basically carries the weight when in a conference like the big ten it's the same in the southeast conference the back ten or the Pac twelve and all the others because that's what brings in the biggest money, the Tel the television rights, the the the apparel writes just everything that goes into it so much driven by football..

"Well, right around the time that the board of regents chairman James Brady was announcing the recommendation and the essential reaced Riester ation of Dirk as football coach. He was meeting with the team. It was just him athletics director Damon Evans who are in there. There were no other assistant coaches, and this is his opportunity to tell the team that he's back as their head coach. You know, we were told from sources and others have reported this as well that several players walked out of the meeting one player, we were told really challenge Durkan and walked out of the meeting, and and others remained. And then they went out and they had a practice that Matt Canada, the interim coach of until this point still led that practice, but I'm assuming that DJ durken will lead practice this afternoon in college park, and he will certainly lead the team on Saturday against Michigan state. Now, there's significant outcry in the media there is political outcry in the state that president low who you mentioned was essentially. Forced to bring back DJ Dirk in our sources and others reporting. This that the board basically told low if you don't bring him back. We're going to fire you they only had the thirty two fire low in this. Remember, they did not have the authority to fire Durkan, but they wanted their can back that was their top priority. And so low has brought him back reluctantly he didn't even mention durken's name during his opening remarks on Tuesday and then here on campus. I just met with the student government president the student government association has organized a rally Justice for Jordan McNair, which will take place on Thursday. There's about a thousand people that have either confirmed or said that they're interested in attending. They hope to have some football players there may actually adjust the time of the rally which right now conflicts with football practice. So Jonathan Allen telling me that there's outrage and that nobody he spoke to surrounding this university expected DJ Durkin to be back. He's also going to introduce legislation tonight guys at their student government meeting that calls for president low to fire DJ Durkin. Well, in red Murray is this is my question to you is the atmosphere on campus because I think a lot of times when these decisions are made the assumption within the room of the regents or trustees or whomever is well, we'll just do this now and we'll take the heat for twenty four hours, and it'll be over with. We don't want their lives. This doesn't feel like it's going to go away anytime soon wha-. What's what's it like being on campus right now? Sure. Well, you know, it's something that the hotel that I stayed in on right next to campus to people are eating breakfast next to me, we're talking about it. I was just in the students center. I didn't hear anyone directly speaking about this. But you know, from talking to Jonathan his word was outraged. If people are appalled by this. And and really that that the chairman of the board James Brady got his way, and he is the focus of the criticism while they'll call for president low to fire DJ Dirk. And I don't think there's an expectation that will happen. But there vitriol is really going to be directed towards James Brady. This is the quote that Jonathan Allen the student government president told me today, quote, it could not have worked out better. For chairman Brady he didn't need to buy out coach turkeys multimillion dollar contract. He didn't need to buy out Damon Evans contract. He didn't need to deal with any potential litigation from president low. If if they fired him without sufficient cause he bought out record, the former strength coach who was one of the root of many concerns for three. Hundred and fifteen thousand dollars, and as a quote, the only person who paid is the McNair families Representative said was Jordan, and that was with his life. That's why we're outrage. I need a shower. Just hearing that right? I'm sorry guys. But I mean, I I hear that. And I'm just like this was the best case scenario and in and again, it's it's shocking to hear I mean, I'm just trying to figure out how does the board of regents or how do the board of directors or the people that make this decision? How do they find themselves in such a bubble to not think not only why this is the bad decision?.
