"Oh, I didn't see any of the partner. So he came out and he was throwing punches like it was like almost like you're punching like your little brother or like you're playing with somebody. You know, like you're just like, you're exaggerating, punching someone. It was like, it was like bad 80s wrestling punches. Not even like everybody's wrestling punches. It was but it was crazy. I've never seen, I mean, remember when Dana White was going to fight Tito Ortiz and boxing and being like, weighed in. I almost think Dana might have won based on I'll tell you what the great place if Jake Paul smart he'll fight to Ortiz next because he will whip his ass. Like you said, if you don't call out Logan Paul, he goes Logan, both of us just lost our last fight. We should fight each other. I mean, I don't know, that desperate for money Tito Ortiz seems like he's saved his money. I know he didn't lose money to Jenna Jameson. She was probably worth 8 times when he was worth. You know, I don't think he loves money that divorce unless it was a lawyer fees or something. I don't even know they're married. What do you think of the save any money being mayor throw one day? He's the only politician that came out of politics more than when he went in. He took out a lot. You didn't know any deals. He actually I think I did that alone during COVID. While he was the governor or the mayor or whatever. Like he actually, but yeah, I don't know. I mean, Logan Paul is just going to kill him. And I think that's going to be terrible for MMA again. I mean, do you think what happened to his hands? 'cause yeah, he had decent hand speed, right? Yeah, I mean, he looked like he was physically in shape, but he, I mean, I've never seen a decline in a fire like that in my life. It looked like he said, it looked like it was a joke. Like pro wrestling, like, and I don't think he was trying to swing. He just, God, maybe he got two torn rotator cuffs and a broken back or something. Like, I don't know, 'cause he could not move, I mean, it was terrible. It was unbelievable. It was unbelievable. I mean, Don, and it made you takiyama if I look like barrera versus Morales. I'm just like, the craziest, I mean, I've never seen slower motion punches. I mean, I mean, Don had a great Don on his worst day on his back, wouldn't throw like that slow. It was crazy. It was crazy. So anyway, in a bare knuckle boxing, by the way, Mike richman, you know, Mike the marine Richmond. Really good guy. He was a Bellator fighter. He get tested positive a long time ago. He works as a strip club in Minnesota. He's like a manager. Anyway, he's doing good bare knuckle boxing against Dakota Cochran. The court of Cochrane who has wins over Christine and and johny Hendricks, and he fucked up Dakota Cochrane and bare knuckle boxing. And Dakota was the man. So good for Mike Richmond. That there was an up in that thing. I'm not gonna make that dope. I would say the hasn't passed some gay porn. He did before he got married and it was a college thing. He needed some money. All right. We've all been there. Yeah, listen, you know what the thing is though. Here's the thing. Here's the thing. I was young. I was poor. I never broke. But nobody wanted to pay me for sex. And that's the thing if I had been good-looking enough. If I bid enough chase, I can't save myself. Well, I was broke like that. I would never, I don't know, 'cause nobody wanted to pay me to do it. I've never really that good-looking. I don't know what Joe Sean, you've been there. How many guys paid you for? I would get weird offers all the time. People would offer their wives all the time too. I was gonna say Greg was young. He was poor like all that he said and he just did it for free, still, so weird. To get for free. I know and paid. No one had to pay me. Right. So. But yeah, but actually, Dakota came on the show. I did a lot of gay porn jokes in the past. And he came on the podcast as a fan. He said, please don't make any gay porn jokes. Of course I didn't. He's happens to be a really good dude. And everyone, you know, people go through their faces and I'm not going to judge. I have evolved as a person. To make fun of jokes. So for that because whatever. Speaking of ways, the big issue right now is there's what are you laughing about, right? Nothing. Such a valiant attempt to be nice. And you know, people do things that before. And I said, I wouldn't let them roll, I don't know, whatever movie God. All right. So a couple things. First of all, there's a transgender fighter who won over the weekend. You know the name of her name is Alana. Alana transgender. And if you look at a picture, have you guys seen the picture of this person? Yeah. Greg, have you seen it? Hold on. Let me show you. I think I have seen this. Yes. Didn't you send us this? Did you text us this? No, no, no, no. So the person was, she was a special forces. In the marines. I mean, a huge jacked, just like I'm trying to think of a day. Her name is Alana McLaughlin. And okay, so it was a dude that turned into a woman. Yes, yes. That's what I'm saying, that is. Yes. And they had a pig and there was a picture of him before with an accident. And he's got these tattoos and he's jacked. And then those and after. So I made the joke of like, look, it's obviously a controversial topic, but at least we know what do you do with the axe? Or what you do with the axe, right? Right. Which I know is a funny joke. This is basically just a dick joke. And I thought it was safe enough for people to laugh. And they did. A lot of people thought it was very funny. And a lot of transgenders, but on my Instagram page, well, one, at least and said, it was a woman that became a man that goes all borrows penis. So my friend Zach and then it became this huge debate on my Instagram of whether or not it's fair enough for the person to fight in the women's division. Because some people say, look, you know, and a lot of females have a problem with it. A lot of females seem to have an issue with it. Female fighters. And I don't blame them because, you know, that's who I think we should talk to. They're the ones who have to fight because I think that I don't know the full science behind it, but let's just say they let transgenders can see in the women's division. And now all of a sudden, like, the top ten fighters are the women's division are all people that were born men. That could be an issue, right? I think a lot of people might be like, I think you're absolutely right. I think it absolutely can be an issue. Because you're finding someone who's still got the physical structure of a man, except now, you know, the sex organs are whatever. But the body is still the structure. It's still a man's body at the end of the day. I would see where that would be. That would be a problem, you know? I mean, so there's a reason we don't do a lot of intergender fights. Well, that's my solution is that I think there should be an MMA lead for division of just trans a trans division where you have trans fat. Boy , that'd be a deep pool a talented pool..

"The distance. I think that's a plus three twenty five maybe even sprinkle on like around to round three. I think round threes up to plus fourteen hundred. I think there's a lot of spots or him to win this fight in any even finishes fight. I don't know kicking off the espn prelims. I think that's when a lot of people will be watching. I think that's definitely a fight. Where if you're looking for a plane that's a good spot for it. So let's talk about the featured. Preliminary like i said if even if you are you haven't been paying a ton of attention to uc over the past two years. I mean you're going to recognize the naming. Carlos condit been around for a a super long time at one point day and again not to date you at one point. One of the guys that was widely considered to be maybe even in the pound for pound conversation. Is you know at least somewhere in that top ten range and then he hit a really rough patch in his career. If you kind of look at where he went. There was a ten fight stretch where he went to an eight. Now if you just take that on the surface you're like okay. Well you know this guy was just obviously At the raw started to lose skills. But i mean it was just. It was a list of killers. I mean it started with george. Saint-pierre moves to johny hendricks retired woodley on that list. Robbie lawler damian maya. He's losing to the very best of the very best along in there. He has won his last two fights court mcgee and the very awesomely named matt brown is a couple of a couple of wins for him as he heads into this when against max griffin. Now maybe someone. That people aren't as familiar with in a name in max griffin. He too is on a to fight win. Streak as we head into as we head into this one. How do you see this one plane out. You know like you mentioned it's been around forever. I remember making the argument that he was the best fighter outside the ufc During his wabc which now seems so long ago. And that's honestly one of the reasons. I'm fading them. And one of the reasons i feel terrible about it. I feel like a lot of my van is run along with carlos condit's career but i just think it's a bad spot for my no. I think it's a bad spot. But i also think it's a really good price if you wanna fade him. I think he's about minus seventy five right now. Which still seems a little juicy. But i think it's worth it at this. i think a reason the line probably is favorable. If you're betting on max griffin is like you mentioned comments. Recent wins over a map brown court. Mcgee i think that sticking in a lot of people's minds at least on paper it looks really good I don't think they were the type of performances that make me. Think that condit's definitely back or that that two year layoff. He spent that just completely retooling his game and making a big championship run in his late thirties writhing someone like max griffin definitely has a bright future here. I think he's got the skills to capitalize on a slowing condit. So again i. I feel terrible fading conde here. It was awesome siham comeback and even get a few wins. But i just don't think this is a good spot form. Let's head to the main card here and again like you said this is a this is a big one..

max griffin Carlos condit johny hendricks damian maya Robbie lawler espn uc matt brown woodley mcgee pierre brown court george condit Mcgee

Well if you don't have a husband maybe you a friend or you know your mom could help out or i will say this though yesterday asked my dad what he was doing for my mom. For mother's day he said nothing. She's not my mom. That's your that's cool. Yeah had a happy happy mother's day. I wasn't even hanging out with her mother's day than most mothers had. Gandhi what's going on all right. A horrific tragedy unfolded in colorado. Yesterday and police are vowing to find answers for the grieving families they say. A woman's boyfriend barged into a mobile home during a birthday party and opened fire. He killed the woman in six other adults before taking his own life. The police chief says has heartbreaks for the children who lost their parents. The mayor of colorado springs called it a senseless act of violence and the governor sent prayers as well. There's a labor shortage right now in the fast food industry is hurting from it. Some mcdonalds franchise. Owners are so desperate that they're actually giving incentives to workers like a five hundred dollar sign on bonus and fifty dollars just to show up for an interview but according to some people who are planning to strike the fight for the fifteen dollar movement includes fast food workers because they say that they need more than minimum wage to survive that. They're not even getting sick. Time or health insurance workers will be walking off the job from california to florida and finally this is the stuff that nightmares are tough. Talk about this stuff all the time. You know those glass bridges that are suspended hundreds in the air. Yeah the one. The one we have in hudson yards. Yes yes similar to that but this one is is going to give you a bit of a heart attack. Tourists was crossing one of those glass bottom bridges and china. It was over three hundred feet in the air when winds of over ninety miles per hour picked up twisted and then broke the bridge leaving the man dangling that high above the ground. the glass didn't shatter but the winds twisted it and 'cause panels to fall out. He was able to crawl back to safety with guidance from firefighters police and forestry and tourism workers then he was taken to the hospital for counseling. The park was closed for a quote brief period of time before reopening to the public. And those are your three things. Watch those seriously. The little terraces they have the kennedy cantilevered terraces. They're being supported by anything beneath. I just can't do it. I don't even care if it's one floor up. I'm not gonna go out on that thing. No shutting it down for a brief period of time and be like all right. Pretty come back. No no possibly go wrong. We must take a break. Didn't they remembered it's her day. They they would look like a total a hole if they said something right. Hey if you a mom got totally shafted. I want to hear from you. Who really had the worst mother's day ever. We all agree. Mother's day every day should be mother's day but you really truly deserved a great day if you got screwed over yesterday. Texas fifty five one hundred or call eight eight hundred two four two zero one hundred Let's get into sound with garrett. Hey garrett hey good morning what'd you got going on Let's talk about mr elon. Musk from snl over the weekend so he was on weekend. Update playing a scientist and then they asked them. Hey can you explain those coin. Because that's the crypto currency where no one knows what it really is but people are making money off of it. Prices have been soaring for cryptos bitcoin. If they're especially those going right now what what. Is those coin. Well it actually started as a joke based on an internet me but now it's taken off in a very real way. Okay but what is those coins. I keep telling you. It's the cryptocurrency you can trade for conventional money. Oh so it's hustle. Yes and that's what it tanked right. There marley was great on s. l. over the weekend too by the way all right so mom knows that her son doesn't answer. We're speaking of moms just a second ago. This mom's goes hey. My son doesn't answer his phone or text. So i'll go to my ring doorbell because he the ring to make sure mom safe at times to invite him over for dinner. We and having tact tonight. If you'd like tweet you're just come over and you work together. You hear e. I call the union because i think you busy but anyway we outta having taco night goodbye. Oh a great mom. I wanna talk with mom. I don't know if he came over for taco night. But so this dad put together a viral video of acting like he was holding a press conference after a sporting event. But what it's like You know watching watching his kid throughout an entire day honestly just felt like we got behind early after the milk spill marker on the wall. We just felt like we're playing. Catch up the rest of the day right before you went to the store. You call the time out. Was there and attitude change after that. It felt like we were losing our heads there for a minute so we wanted to just calm things down and get back to the basics. Did you ever find your keys. No no no idea whether you gave him a snack half hour before dinner. Plan no blah track time three bites at dinner. That's on me. If you're a parent. I think you get it. So it's like one of those things where it's just so many things going on day This is coming out of boston so there were doing a news report about stolen dog. Then the reporter came across said stolen dog and the guy who stole it and then listen to him. Try to back his way out of this. He was just backing in the car. And i walked out the car. And i really. I thought it was dogging. It wasn't kidnapping. It was just a simple mistake. He didn't think to call the number on the tag. I did but then i tried using one phone. The phone with broken and I just dispatcher. This is juliana over seven news. Actually have the dog titus and the man who said it was an accident that he took the dog with me right now. I'm just glad that the person came back. And i'm glad that you guys were there. Yeah otherwise you'd be somewhere else with a dog myself broken. I didn't know how to use my phone. But you know and i was. I accidentally took a dog and then finally as we come close to celebrating our twenty fifth anniversary here with the morning show. I came across some outtakes. This one from someone in the zoom room right here doing the weather and the trouble that they have while recording the weather. Why.

So yesterday we gave my mom flowers before we went to lunch. And i said mom you wanna keep those in the car. Do you wanna take them inside. She's no. I'll take them inside. It's you're gonna forget them so we had lunch. We go back to the car. Guess what my mom left inside flowers. I had to go back together. But once again proof that i am maturing and getting better i did not say i told you so. I went back and got the flowers. I handed them to her. I told her. I loved her and i wanted about mary. Way elvis. you're teaching me to be a better person awful. You have to learn that. From me i did. I thought to myself is now the time to say i told you. So or probably not elvis. No shut your mouth. And don't say that i told you so never works right. Hey what's up ghandi. So this danielle. I'm going to say i love her. She's the greatest ever. But i thought i found the greatest connection ever because i found this website that had all this crazy disney stuff. And i'm like daniels never going to know about it. I ordered her a gift for her birthday. I was super stoked. It finally came and i showed it to her what she said is that from bradford exchange knows everything. There is no about disney at all. All the time david daniel i know their style so i kind of like i know you got that but i'm so excited to get it. I can't jackpot. Never gonna know. She knows never questioned her ever. Hey producer sam. What's up so holidays and special occasions are like the most happy days in the world. Unless you're not in a really good place. Then they are the absolute worst days in the world. And i had a good friend who is going through that last year on mother's day so if you had a really crappy weekend because maybe mother's day is not your choice holiday for one reason or another just want you to know that. Hopefully the next one will be better and hopefully today is better than yesterday was oh. It's really what happened okay. Good everyone's good Scary yes every day. I have more and respect and newfound respect for moms Happy birth be belated. Mother's day to my mom. We all went out to dinner yesterday with the big family. And i gotta tell you my sister who's relatively new mom and my sister in law who's a new mom. How do they do it. How do you do it because you know. My sister's kid nico. My nephew is going through his terrible twos. And it's just like they can't concentrate on dinner. Everything is light you know up and down. The kid wants to go downstairs to walk downstairs. And then my sister-in-law dealing with my nephew. Jack and all i'm and you know of course my brother and my brother-in-law also there for for support. But wow oh my god you guys deserve the world and you deserve mother's day everyday not just yesterday. Can you imagine being a single father scary. No no no. I can't i don't know other. It's not for me. I don't think i'm cut out for it. Okay from a different cloth we don't have to. I'm just asking what i like. Imagine how your day would be different a single mom or single dad all of you. I give a shout out and lots of props there you go just danielle. What's on your mind. So i just wanna say thank you to my husband sheldon and my boys for making it special so we had a lot of sports on sunday but they made sure the entire day i felt special and they started out with this catered breakfast that they brought into the house and all kinds of great gifts and my son preston made me a painting. I mean it was awesome. So i had a great day and right before bed last my oldest told me he loved me and i was the best mom ever and for your almost sixteen year. Old kid to say that to you. That was awesome. So thank you guys. I love you and i am just so happy to be your mom and your wife and everything. So thank you. Yeah it was so great being at the restaurant yesterday. Watching mother's day happenings going is. I've said this earlier on the show but there is something that really warmed me up when i saw three generations of of women grandma mom and daughter and they were all laughing with each other and everyone wanted to get their pictures. Strangers from other tables. Were coming over just to take their pictures because they were just were so so it was their day. It was a great day to celebrate in. you know. Sometimes you wait 'til mother's day to be forced to celebrate your mother you know there's al- there's always someone in your life that deserves a celebration right. Now may not be a mom. Maybe a friend may be a co worker. It's good to celebrate other people and give them the props. They deserve We'll start with you nate. You're the last one on a real. Let's celebrate nate thank you. Hey i've got a question for like danielle especially you have had renovations done at your house long until you act like a human being in your house. I am scared to like steph floor or open. Because i feel like they did all this. The house looks so nice now. I feel like i'm going to screw it up. We'll tell you anything. It's been months and months my kitchen my dining room and the living room where like the walls. Don't feel anything on.

Because hall of fame trainer. Bob baffert says he's been informed by the kentucky horse racing commission that his kentucky derby winner medina spirit tested positive for drugs after the race. Oops i know. The trainer says he was told the horse tested positive for beta method zone but denies that the horse was treated with them as with the medication as of now. "And he gave an insult. It was meant as an insult that kamara whose men over the years has fallen in love with his hands. And i realized in the world of insults like that's low fodder however it is leon try to give an assessment of look. I'm understanding uis. Men and who's men is becoming more one dimensional. That is what he was saying by fall up with his hands. And you know what. That's a real thing. I don't know that. I have seen kamara osmond do it. I will look for it now. Now that leon is brought it to my attention. I will look for a little bit. What i have seen with uis man is that he is using his hands a lot to set up his wrestling still. He is a threat of wrestling at all times. He was a major threat to gilbert burns at all times. He had a little bit of hesitation of going to the ground. Strategically stayed on his feet with kobe. Covington he an kobe through wrestling out. They just knew each other and respected each other. So this probably isn't gonna work. Let's go to plan b. They both they both came to the same opinion which we didn't know until the referee said. Are you ready. And it turned into an absolute war on their feet. I bring it to you. Because i'm not. I'm not positive that leon's right even though if you go back and you look at the recent fights the last three to four by uis men. They were very standard heavy. that's true i just. I just think they were done for strategic reasons. I think you're respected gilbert on the ground. I think the same thing with moslem. I think he was getting ready to take down. I think he did. Throw that a out against kobe covington but if you back up before that to the night. He won the championship which was a terribly long ago. It was all ground game. So i don't know that i'm ready to label. Who's been with that yet. But leon most certainly has the right to his opinion and particularly if he's going to be his future opponent that would play right into leon's hand. I don't know if leon would wanna be pointing that out. But the best thing that leon could do is in a put a standup battle with us. Men and whether that works out or not. That's the best thing that he could do. I don't think you want us been coming out there tackling. You're staying on top of your grinding on you. I don't think and that's a golf term fell in love with. It's a guy falls in love with his swing so golf term but it is fear and i've seen it a number times the only guy i've really seen at work out for the duration of his career is my teammate dan henderson. Dan was a two time olympic wrestler. Nobody would have known good hands including himself turns out near the same set of every time he changed pop back up through a right down the middle and it was so hard even call it h. I felt that thing. I couldn't even tell you how many times he was a natural and didn't miss even practice. He just had an accuracy he had a power that was natural hit a time. He had a setup that was natural. Who's changed elevations just like you do wrestling comeback. Everything just fit. It worked out for him. I have seen josh cost. Check would be guilty of fall in love with his right hand. Johny hendricks would fall into that category. Now i'm talking about the best guys in the world so i don't know that there's any kind of an insult here. It is true though that over a period of time you will lend to from a psychological standpoint. Whatever gets you the most oohs and aahs from the crowd. Ooh you will just naturally gravitate in that area. And sometimes you'll convince yourself i'm okay and then you'll go out and have a good performance. I mean i would imagine if i'm an shoes. And i just knocked out mazda. It'll turn him sideways by the way. Never seen that before. Who's been hit. Mazda also square and so clean the muslim who turned sideways for the for the follow of shot that put. I'm just saying. Yeah i yeah. I bet who's been does really believe in his hands shore. I could also see where that would be a problem. I mean that's a shootout game who's been played that game with burns just two fights ago and who's been got hurt twice now. He worked his way through it. He pushed through it. I give him credit. I'm not faulting shared with you. How risky that game is for sure. And i'm not sure if i was who's been opponent or future opponent. I would tip him off to his weaknesses. Used to study guys all the time. And it wasn't me was clayton. Hires but clayton was a master of it. He was a master and he could see everything and he would point things out and he would tell it to me. One time clayton would study my opponents. Call coaches run which is one of the hardest workouts i've ever done. But the coaches run wasn't the coaches runs. Were coach does it with me. So we meet. We go to pace. We talk the entire time. That is the one and only time clayton. I would strategized that was it. That was the talk. Whatever i absorbed in took with me for the next ten weeks. That was the talk and remember nate. Marquardt getting ready to fight. Nate markwort and i was a two and a half to one underdog. And i had trained would nate before mate. Should have been the favourite going in this fight but clayton had notice something and it was real simple but he used to compare nate to a drag car. A drag car will fire up and then it will go one thing that always did and it was an every video and every sequence of every fight that clayton studies before nate would come after you shake i every time never miss. He was a drag. He get warmed up and then boom he would come at you put every time it faking jab throw right it was a fake right. Throw a right fake throw kick. It wasn't these things he would do. Emotion and then he would come at you full sprint. He put a lot of guys down. Just before me put damian my down in like ten seconds but he bill. He did the drag car i he did it. Every single time was a major benefit that i had and i waited for that drag car boom and that's when i went attack i knew i had a beat. I knew that. I had to beat before he could get off. And it's a real thing. I do it too. I don't know what my tendencies are tells are. I don't know. I changed them if i knew. But i can't tell you habits or a real thing when you learn on the midst and then you go to the heavy bag and then you go to the ring. There's things that you develop and you can't get around them. They become absolute habit right. You comb your hair the same every day. Put your dirhams. You brush.

"Ten miles on the treadmill as fast as can because they wanted to see that. And i remember interviewing shot evans. I was like because this is back when rashaad was still like top of the ufc. Light heavyweight division. He was trained with rumble and rumbles on the rise. And we'll never fight each other. I was like you have a choice between fighting anthony johnson or going through that workout to get on the ultimate fighter because on fight him. I'm finding my friend every day of the week because i was so brutal so watch like people were like passing out just to get it as the show now is so much more well organized so much better produced just just more logical but man it is it is lacking something chaos right. There's no chaos help at that. We'll see i don't know i mean it was only wellpoint uses still do. That's the problem. I feel like you can close your eyes and no exact shot going to go next. That's the problem. There's there's zero chaos do it. It's like oh so talked a lot about the ultimate fighter. Okay okay we can move on. I'm not into every tuesday night people. Espn plus tsn and canada is way more important. All who asked this question. I want to give them credit. No cutting the name. I i apologize. I don't know who has his questions on the site. Let's get straight to it. Jake paul versus time woodley. I fully expected jacob. Oxmoor retired grapplers wrestlers from may world. Whoever however i have to say this is a very ballsy move. Even business came out and said he was offered the fight. Respect to jake was trying to fight legit guy so ever. Should jake have taken a more suitable fight before. Take five taking someone on like woodley. Is this too much too soon. So yes for those of you. Living under iraq's jake paul is now gonna box former. Uc welterweight champion tyron woodley. He's also the betting favourite. Which i think a lot of people were very surprised at. I don't really i guess. If you're like if you remember what time would lead has done in. His use might be surprised but like was the last time we wanna fight on like the woodley was it. The was it. The meyer knows darren sill. Last fight was against dr until when he submitted his best before is best maybe his best performance of his career to without a doubt. Yeah with no doubt if you're taking remember taking all of the Like obviously the cost. Check knockouts fantastic the J horon was at his first fight. The knockout was fantastic. But like it was like a you see. Main event had bought a long time until is the man he submitted with. dr show. god is black belt and didn't even smile the entire time. He was so frustrated that fi week in dallas knots. A lot of people out. He's also this is fight is also one hundred ninety pounds. That's the big thing to me. That's the big thing. It's one hundred ninety pounds. What i don't know the exact rules because they haven't have they been announced me a is going to be a professional boxing match. I'm not sure about how many rounds and things like that but it will be judged exhibition match. It's not no no no no. And there's i believe jake. Paul loses. He gets in media rematch that on twitter like he was trying to add that to the contract off tyron because dude hits hard but i have never seen him in a boxing match. Jake paul howled twenty four twenty five. Whatever taiwan's a tyrant is a lot closer to forty. There's a lot closer to forty. So this is i. Don't understand the confusion over jake. Paul being the betting favourite in a boxing match considering. He's the one that's been boxing and winning and is substantially younger and taller and heavier than tyron woodley. I'm very interested. I do but as i said time really hits really hard like what is it. Overhand is very very dangerous. So good on jake paul fighting a former. Ufc champ. that hits really hard and is very explosive. I'm very curious exclusivity translates to boxing. There's no take downs. I'm interested in seeing willingly. Box to but casey your thoughts kinda rules for both gentlemen I mean Check paul i mean. This is a very tough fight for your for even with he. Three nine two zero four and three no big big jump in competition. But it's a smart is a smart jump up because he has he is. He's got a big size advantage. You actually had a an experience advantage in in in boxing competition. I don't necessarily think he's actually sparred. More boxing rounds than tyron woodley in his life. But you know butt willies. Always the boxing was always still. It was set up around his wrestling so this could be really interesting to see how woodley boxes without the threat of the take down. Because that's the only thing about restaurants you don't got to be a great striker. You got to be a good wrestler and all of a sudden. You're striking so much exponentially better. Take johny hendricks his best example. Like wasn't he was a great striker but like you were so scared of his take downs. That knows hands drop in. That overhand comes over boom. So yeah it's it's a great matchup. I actually like it Yeah in great on woodley. Willie i mean. And i'm assuming his true willey said this is going to be his. He expects makes highest percy's ever made in his career after after losing one two three four fights in a row. You know so That's i expect to win but Yeah i still think is weird from guys like woodley. And i know they're talking crap like i saw interview with hawaii or posted saying. Oh i'm gonna get jake paul. I'm gonna get rid of him. You know all this stuff like why he's giving you the highest ever. Usually beat them up and go do it again please. Why buyers want to get rid of guys. Jake bowen jake. Paul is like putting their kids through college. I don't get it. So i hate how good jake paul is as. Yeah whatever we wanna call this whole thing. He's being being a it's called being a prizefighter. Look i don't like jake. Paul jake paul. Nothing like good person. That's that's unusual disclaimer. But as a business person and as someone who can who's honestly for me to generates interest in these weird fights just amazing. I want to see this i agree. It is such a logical step up from aspirin. It's like okay. So i i beat a former anime champion but not a ufc champion. A guy who fought in the what so people can say. Oh you be that guy. But not seat champion. Oh guess what. I liked him up. Oh you find a guy who. Who's like an overtired he's been asking he's not he's not in the greatest shape you know if someone had never heard of been aspirin that just saw picture especially the shape he was in before this fight like not even an shape like killed. You know most people who are smarter than me. We're like this get killed. Look it up if you look at tyron woodley you still do. He's in he's in saint. Jp he's in such good shape sued. You want to get out of his fighting prime physically and athletically. He looks incredible. I bet a lot of things. You could still do that. Most guys eight would struggle with he. He'll he looks fantastic It's such a smart smart about. I thought a pro wrestler would be next but this is even better than that does is some. Who's been calling him out. There was already like some so. There's already some build bear. This isn't some guy that he started this this. He's getting called by a ufc champion. And how can you. There's a real bad story. It's not just a random champions. He was the guy using the corner of the guy he just knocked out footage like he wasn't even just in the corner. He was the guy that watch jake. Paul his hands route. You know there's footage of him talking to all this craziness with jake paul's teammate train. Or one of his own..

"Holland And maybe just. Because i haven't seen much of of vittori seen a few things i mean. Yeah he's technical in these impressive but i. I've been more impressed by holland. So that's the only the only thing. And i can't i i don't even know man i don't know how how it's going to end my at my best guess might be Just a split decision. You know okay. So it's going to be a close one in your estimation so i think so. I don't think it's going to be like a like a a decisive win. Unless somebody knock knock somebody out I just don't think it's going to happen so split decision. Okay what do you think frank. Frank takeoff look Yeah man as far as this matchup goes. I'm not. I'm not gonna change my pick. You know when. It was batori. Until i think i still went batori. Eighty pick batori but after kevin. Harlan spiderman he. I didn't see anything through impressive. You know he lost their grunt in a unanimous decision. five rounds. He went five round. And i didn't see anything in him that made me think he's gonna give the tory any any kind of trouble Like you said eddie. He's awkward. he's unorthodox he does things I mean if there were belt levels to this and making he's like a crazy three strikes and batori the magazine and purple brown belt. You know Pollens gonna do some crazy cartwheel. Give up his typed shit because he can get outta crazy scrambled in practice above the tory. He'll play that man he he no he can do. He knows what he's good at. He's not going to stray away from the game plan. And he's gonna use it game clinton and he'd skill to enact pain and i see the opposite of what bongo said. I mean well not a split. But i see a unanimous decision for vittori here like we like we mentioned in the first half of this episode. I think this is going to be batori coming out party and of you don't know now you know you're gonna know. But this is a good. I see batori. Taking the steam out of holland's shift and using that energy to propel him into the top five after this possibly you know for sure he's gonna come out on top and i see him getting a top a top contender match for sure pretty soon. So i'm going to be a unanimous decision right on all right So that's i think that's like the first card in may and do right after that We get corey san he again. T. j. dillashaw. That was announced. I believe or the week before But i just wanted to throw this fight in there. I think he's got announced the week before. But dude i i. I can't wait for this man. I cannot wait for this by bonzo. What do you think can happen in this in matchup man. Or hoary than higgins. T. j. dillashaw. Go you can floor man all right well i question. The have though is is is tj back on the juice juicy juice. I well i mean you're out. Do i got san hanging on this. I am impressed by striking. You know very just reminds me of like the diaz brothers is very just like technical not all all power just you know like popping popping jab you know one two's combos You know it just. I just think he's gonna pick them apart being he's taller right. Oh shoot yeah. that's all there. Yeah he's going to definitely. Just reach fucking keep tj at bay even though tj's quick. I don't think he's gonna make pass those jobs like donald. That'll just end up like stopping him. His and he won't be able to move forward as much I just. I think it's going to go all the way and he'll end up winning a clear decision. Okay right on who interesting what you think any first of all what do you think about this matchup. Oh i think it should be. The winner gets a gets an automatic title shot. I agree high. Stakes are sure God this is such a tough fight to pick But i'm leaning towards t. J. dillashaw Santa fe institute slow. Tj's fast as lightning. He I think he'll Nullify sant higgins reach with his kicks. He's got great kicks. You don't know what angle you don't know if he's going to kick in the caf in the fi the body or the head and if he does get in trouble somehow on the feet i think he'll use his wrestling the take San hagen down and grind them there. I don't think it's going to be a knockout. I think t. j. dillashaw will win. via five decision ooh I just want to say that. I love this matchup This is gonna who whoever wins. This fight is gonna prove a lot if corwin this might he's going to say are ready for a title shot. Give it to me now. That al jemaine fight with the flu. Look at what he doing right now. Give me the strap which you know. We're going to have to wait for the dust to settle on that and that's another story and another conversation for another day. I mean i just wish algerwood shut the f up and go ahead and might peter p p odor already and just start messing around on social media man but go back going back to this fight man. This is ball's this is definitely a big step up for. I mean not really a big step up for teaching. Because he's been in the mix forever. You know what i'm saying. He'd been the top of the heat for awhile but he'd been out for like what two years a little over two years now. And i mean i'm not gonna say the game has passed him by and i'm sure he's been training this whole time But being active and now being active is a. It's a big deal. It's a big thing you know. And i'm not gonna say that. Tj gonna be overwhelmed By you know the level of competition or whatnot. But i mean this is like you haven't ran a racing awhile and you're jumping right into the to the meter dash hussein bolt. You know corey's coming off of that bakke oh Against frankie edgar t. j. dillashaw trying to prove to everybody. That wasn't juice team. But who knows who knows how long he's been on that juice. I mean even his boy cody garbrandt was saying he'd been on the this whole time so if he's not on it and he's been used to using that as his edge. I mean i'm going to have to go with corey on this man. I don't think he's gonna take out. Tj but i mean tj's gotta prove to me that the otj was the real tj and not the not just that use you know so just because the water's been tainted by tj. I'm going corey on this one. I don't think he'd got have yet to finish off tj. but i think he's got enough to win and i'm going unanimous decision. Corey san hagan. I am taking three out of the five rounds and and propelling himself into number one contender after this for sure. It'll it'll be like freaking What's in a veto. When he got off the juice just be like that is going to be like emmy insert any fighter who we suspected was on the juice you know who was the guy that was fucking shit up at one seventy for awhile. And he almost took the title from gop. Forgive johny hendricks referenda Johny hendricks i mean. That's a prime example right there. Where just all of a sudden rain god derailed and we saw completely different fighter. You know. I would hate for that to be the case..

Tiger Woods to play with 11-year-old Charlie in Father-Son

"So. There's a breaking news story out this morning. Tiger woods is going to compete in a tournament with his eleven year old son and that just really makes me happy. So i know that my son and i will watch. It has a father who i play a lot of golf. I play with. My son is better than competing in playing with your child when you get to that age where your child beats you and you're not letting them win anymore. They're they're legitimately kicking your ass so it's just a very proud moment. I loving father. I can't wait to watch this with him. US Senate rejects witnesses in impeachment trial.

"I'm Anthony Davis The US Senate narrowly rejected democratic demands to summon witnesses for Donald Trump's impeachment trial yesterday all but ensuring trump's acquittal fill in just the third such trial to face a president in US history but senators considered pushing off final voting on his fate to next week the votes on allowing new witnesses was defeated. Fifty one forty nine on a near Party line vote. Republican Susan Collins of Maine and Mitt Romney of UTAH. voted along with the Democrats witnesses. But that was not enough despite the Democrats singular focus on hearing you testimony. The Republican majority brush. Pass those demands to make this the first impeachment trial without witnesses even new revelations from former National Security Adviser John Bolton did not not swayed. Parnas presented to Ukrainians as speaking on Trump's behalf

"You're really at the time was the general. The first thing I did this to introduce myself and tell them I'm here on behalf of really Giuliani beyond the president of the United States. And I'd like to put you on speakerphone for you. Know to confirm which we did we put you on. The phone rudy relate to him basically that we were there on behalf of the president of the United States. And you were there to speak on president. Trump's behalf exhibited those exact words. Mr Parnasse says that when he was taking meetings to advance this scheme taking meetings with various government officials in Ukraine he says it was a regular occurrence. It was the way those meetings started. He would put rudy. Giuliani on phone on the speakerphone in the room and he would say explicitly. Mr Giuliani would say explicitly that as the president's personal attorney he could affirm that left Parnis. was there air at that meeting. In Ukraine to speak on behalf of the President of the United States Donald Trump in May of last year may twenty nineteen. Mr Giuliani started speaking with reporters about his plans to travel himself to Ukraine to try to enlist the Ukrainian government's assistance to help hoped his client president trump. Basically in his re-election effort he said he was going to Ukraine to try to get them to announce investigations into Vice President Biden because that would be very very helpful to his client in the resulting firestorm of criticism. Mr Giuliani's trip was called off in May when he called off the trip. Mr Giuliani Johny made public statements. Criticizing the new government of Ukraine saying that Ukraine's new president was surrounded by enemies of the United States and for Ukraine that it was a really big deal right Ukraine. A country at war with Russia is a country very much dependent on both the reality and the perception of their having strong support from the United States government. And so when Mr Giuliani as the president's personal attorneys started making public claims the new Ukrainian president was surrounded by enemies of the United States of America. That's why he wasn't going to Ukraine at that point. The Ukrainian government kind of freaked out that kind of criticism from the new administration for their new new president in Ukraine. And that's a potential death sentence for their country so at the time that happened left part was in Ukraine in Kiev. At the time all of that happened and he told me today that he was tasked by Rudy Giuliani in that moment to crank up the pressure on the government of Ukraine to make even more insistent and obvious is an even more onerous this threat and this demand that Ukraine must announce investigations into Joe Biden. Or else it. Did you meet with Ukrainian official name. Sergei Schaefer Circuit Schaefer is a very senior aide to presidents Alinsky. It has been reported as far as we understand from public reporting that you conveyed to Mr Schaffer. The exact quid pro bowl that you wanted Celeski Alinsky to announce investigations into Joe Biden or military aid would not be released to Ukraine. Is that accurate. It was a little bit more than that Aw Basically The message that that was supposed to die gave Sergei Schaefer was a very harsh message that was told to be to give it to him in a very harsh way. A not in a pleasant way to give it to harshly mayor Guiliani Rudy told me After a meeting the president the White House he called me. His message was wasn't just military. It was all eight. Basically the relationships would be sour. You would stop giving him any kind of aid that unless that there was an announcement made several several demands at that point a the most important one is the announcement of the bite. Ministration did you also convey convey to him that the US government would stop showing support for mistress Alinsky. They wouldn't attend the inauguration those that was the biggest thing. Actually that was the that was the main Wasn't because at that time you have to understand the way you create now is for presents alinsky winning on that platform being a young president and not really having any experience the number one end being at war with Russia at the time the number one thing for them was not even eight and I know it sounds crazy but it was more of a support for the president resident by having a White House. Visit by having a big inauguration by having all the dignitaries there that was the key and at that time There were already aware because of their Conversations with the I guess what the embassy that President Vice President Pence was supposed to come to the inauguration was already discussed and they were replanning and now they were just working on days. That would be good for him at our meeting. I was very very heated. Conversation from our part to him. Basically telling What needs to be done? I mean basically me and at the at the at in the conversation. I told him that if he doesn't the announcement it was the key at that time because of the nation the pence would not show up. Nobody would show up to his inauguration unless he announced an investigation into Joe Biden No. US officials Dell's particularly vice president. Mike Pence would not come to do so the day after that meeting that you had on the twelfth. Aw I believe it was the following day that in fact vice-president pence is a visit to the inauguration was cancelled after my phone. Call the conversation conversation that I laid out to. Mr Schaffer was basically what I was told to do. By Giuliani of the president. And then afterwards I relate back to them saying that he's going to get back to me later tonight and we're supposed to meet then around eight o'clock or nine o'clock at night. I texted back against saying any word. What's the situation and at that point Because because

Don't Buy a Ferrari

"Let's talk about money because since we're a business or a business to make a profit and one of my rules of online business success the way. Hey I put his. Don't buy that Ferrari and where that comes from his. When I I really came up with this product Formula I started teaching it? Well it it can lead to some pretty outside success in pretty rapid success especially for the people back then who maybe had an email list but hidden put together a good promotion and then I taught product launch formula and people are making a lot of money and I actually know someone and this is a long time ago this happened like two thousand five thousand six. I'm going to get the numbers off. But he made somewhere around two hundred thousand dollars in a launch tap line those versus sales. That was absolutely as incredible windfall. It was amazing. He was so excited. So this person I know went out and bought a Ferrari for just under two hundred thousand dollars so he spent almost every penny of this great big windfall and never mind. There's going to be some taxes. Never mind that he's going to have have some expenses in his life. Never mind the you might have some refunding. Basically spent the entire huge as some of from his launch and bought a fancy car which of course lost fifty percent of its value. The moment drove it off and it was. It was absolutely just insane. I couldn't believe that someone would go and do do that. And it just felt incredibly irresponsible and of course you know go do whatever he wants and whatever and and you know his thinking was okay. I did that. I'm going to do again and again and again I'm just GONNA make millions. And maybe he did. I don't know how that story ends but the thing is I see so many people making financial financial mistakes in their business a lot of people they use. I just want to be creative. I just WanNa be an artist. I just want to help people or just want to be a marketer or I don't want to I don't want to. We're about the money but the reality is you have to worry about money. I've seen this over. People do a great big launch launches over. They made a lot of sales. But there's no money Johny leftover so you have you have to avoid expanding your lifestyle. That's what you're going byner Ferrari just I. You know boom like that because I made two hundred that's expanding your lifestyle big way and the reality is a promotion. Doesn't make take a business just because you put together a great promotion doesn't mean you have a business and this might sound strange coming from me. I'm all about launches launches and having great promotions teaching people. How to do this? And I'm a big fan of launches but I'm not a big fan of building your life's all of a sudden when you're dependent on the next launch especially once you really start building a business if you've built a team if you build some infrastructure being dependent on your next launch it is a recipe for disaster launches are great. They're amazing I loved them. I I love the high table. Help people with them. But it's it's not you can't be dependent it can't be where your your next mortgage payment is coming from. Hopefully it's where your next payroll you payment is coming coming from. You need to build a real business not just promotion

WHAT WILL WORK IN 2020 FOR B2B MARKETING AND LEAD GENERATION

"Hey Rena thanks for joining us today as we get started. Tell us about yourself. Hi My name is Irena. And I'm in San Diego California orange. I do marketing strategy. Really Love just any marketing challenges that I can find And helping them kind of revive businesses. How did you get interested fitness polisher? Actually so my dad's first business so I have ten brothers and sisters to kind of get started all right And my dad. Will we actually deliver newspapers. And then my dad opened up a business when I was about thirteen. Fourteen minute only lasted about a year And actually failed and then it kind of It was Kinda hard time in her family but then I realized what is it that I can do for other businesses that are failing like what was it that was missing from his business in particular so I went into it. I I mean I learned everything there was to know about marketing especially Ashley like the more challenging business platforms like very niche markets and. That's because I I hear a lot of people especially the early in their career. They think the only alternative is starbucks. McDonald's Walmart and I'm like no every company needs marketing. Being help social media help Edwards Youtube bads all of the stuff that you know with a month of training meaning you can be okay at right exactly and I really get into the year. You can use super good at it. Yep and you have to start early because if you start start early then you kinda get the upper advantage and then you have that fire in the very beginning and so then it kind of goes and it kinda takes a life of its own so marketing a superport. Antibodies Johny Right. And I've always said because I've always been at companies and I was never really happy with the marketing people because they knew what to do but they either didn't care care or they were doing what worked five years ago. Yeah because it's it changes so fast that is that's a hard thing because if somebody it has their own business and it typically marketing business. I mean somebody's focus could potentially change to finding new clients and then they do the bare minimum and then they don't you know they collect patron check. I know that's I mean it's something that I have to fight to make sure to stop myself from. I only take a certain the amount of clients and make sure you know focus on who you have and because marketing is like the most important yeah and I think a lot just seem into either do what they did at their last company or copy their competitors exactly if you copy your competitors than you don't have marketing you just have equal playing ground. You got to do something different. I do yeah I do think that finding what the competitor is doing a super important so like right when I get like any any kind of business model I look what the competitors are doing. I look on the back end of their website find out what keywords are ranking for financial. Xactly what it is that they did but finding new ways. That's and you know what a lot of the times I found. That press is the best way to kind of it. It's something that not everybody is doing. But it's something that gives against the brand awareness. Well that's it when it suits social proof and content in once right because someone else's writing about you or talking with you or about you instead of just you. Yeah Yup. Yeah who's your ideal customer my honestly it could be anyone a general person Could be anyone with any kind of business idea but the ideal where like I figured out a system that works and brings in Leeds consistently our health and wellness so like bariatric surgeons dentists. Search anything things like that but how you get in touch with them. What's your approach is the word of the word of mouth marketing for those because that's my bread and butter but my passion are those B. Two B. businesses software companies? Anybody I mean. The markets are so niche that it takes my mind into work so I like those I like my mind. Let's dig into that possess more of our audience and kind of the audience that I work with when you go into a software company. What's your process like getting any software company? Let's say they want to work with you to get them to kind of cooperate. And how do you come up with your strategy. Yeah well the first process is to make sure I know the company so I'm GonNa ask many questions as I can to kind of know what the business platform is. The second thing I do is I do all the research again to find anything online line or digital to make sure that when I have a conversation with them they realize hey. I've done my work to know who you are. What you what you bring to the table? And then from there there I basically start going into strategy and my strategy always has to do with the biggest bang for the smallest. What is it that will will give us At I mean I guess if we go into the nitty gritty like landing pages finding out even like Google outwards finding out making shuttle landing page converts looking at past Marketing Strategies that you are working but seeing what else I can do to fix them up and kind of giving them my two cents hour so so do you do like an audit I to see what they're currently doing and the results they're getting. I always do an audit The reason is because there are little things that I can find that just I can make a world of a difference and everybody's getting instant results and if they can see instant results then they'll trust me for the long term strategy because that does tape trust to kind of three months and then you'll see results because even like Edwards is turned into a career in and of itself. I mean I've been doing it. Almost it was twenty years I started on like a family business and it just blew the business up and it was like eight cents back back then. Today it's like eighty dollars for any click. It's it's crazy. There are businesses that will light up with it. I mean there's one that just you put in two thousand dollars you'll get back like ten thousand dollars also ones that don't and in the challenges because Google on where it's facebook all those. If those are working you have to kind of think out of the box and then for that. It's like reaching out to influencers finding out and going direct to people that could market for you because like physicians who sell it to their clients. Not Now. That's what I was software companies. They tend to they have a content strategy which is good but they don't have a platform or an audience yep so the inbound just doesn't have what it did ten years ago is everyone's doing it. Yep Yeah and there's still. So how many software companies out name soul to. I mean. It's the day needs where everyone is being sold to on a daily basis And so you Kinda have to think creatively. You can't be selling you. Can't you have to basically find people that are going to look for you and then put yourself there because if you're selling chances are six months down the road. That person won't be happy because they feel that they were. So if you are kind of if you can strategize a marketing strategy that will make the client feel or the user feel as though they went after a lot more customer for sure right kind of educate them and can kinda give value to them build a no like entrust kind of relationship before you try and get them to convert Yup exactly we and so like. Yeah so I mean. There are two different kinds of like websites where one you'd go in and wants his try for free. Try for seven dollars for seven days. Anything and people instant by the other one is it kind of goes through different ways that it It might help you start with your free trial or it might even like by the end. Those I think I mean there's place for both of those ones I would assume or I might gather they might have a longer her life customer because a person was sold into it instead of just buying it right. Yeah what do you see people doing wrong mostly especially especially with marketing general or ads or yeah Well first you have to make your ad will convert so make sure it's something something that Looks good represents your business isn't just something that you throw up there with some words on it Because I mean first impressions are key anything to do for concussions. The second thing is landing pages. People don't realize that a click to your websites. I mean that really do the trick. You have to make sure that your landing page will sell them on what it is that you're giving them. You basically got twenty percent with the Google Click. That's how I think about it

Iran and Ukraine begin plane crash probe

"Start this hour with the series of events that have led to the accusations that Iran shot down a Ukrainian plane by mistake killing everyone on board a week ago today a US drone strike killed. Iran's top military commander Mander in Baghdad. Iran responded with its own missile strikes on basis in Iraq where American troops were stationed hours later that Ukrainian jet bound bound for Kiev crashed shortly after takeoff from Tehran. Iranian officials deny they shut down that jet although the US and Canada have publicly said they have evidence to the contrary for the latest on all of this in the crash investigation. We're joined by the BBC's Joanna Fisher in Kiev and Jona what are Ukrainian officials officials saying about this today. Well it's been very difficult. Actually to get comment out of Ukrainian officials. I think they are in a very difficult position here. They we have a team on the ground in Tehran. That was sent there in the immediate aftermath of this crash on Wednesday and they are trying to do everything they can to make sure that that team who are in Iran at the moment get access to the crash site and to the debris that has been collected. I think they are concerned. -cerned that if they immediately come out and echo what has been said In the United States and in Canada an in Great Britain very firmly pointing the finger at the Iranians blaming them for shooting down this plane that that will make it too difficult for for these investigators who are now inside drawn to do their job said they'd been walking something of a of a tight robe yes definitely a tight rope. in a very delicate situation more than sixty Canadians died in that crash crash reporters yesterday press Canadian. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on whether the United States was partly to blame because this was all created by the volatile atmosphere miss fear the US caused by killing General Qassam. Sulamani is there at the same sentiment in Ukraine about that. Look I think the overwhelming sentiment here in Ukraine is naught again because you have to cost mind back five years to m h seventeen. The Malaysian airlines that was shot down in eastern Ukraine crane. Shot down by a Russian missile almost certainly by Russian forces with the death of all nearly three hundred people on board and I think lots of people here their immediate reaction was surely. This couldn't have happened again and not to our country Has Horrible echoes for many many people about what happened then and the idea that Once again what appears to be happening on the ground in Iran is that they going out of their way to make it very very difficult for a proper investigation take base in that once again echoes. What has been the experience of the seventeen investigation that Russia has done almost everything cancer trying and make it very difficult? This has been a miserable flashback for many Ukrainians to what happened five years ago. We also shouldn't forget that this is a human tragedy how are the deaths of that. Those Eleven Ukrainians resonating there. There's been a memorial setup at the airport. Boris Bill Apple which is where the plane was due to arrive lots of passenger cruise Of other airlines have been going. They're paying their respects. The president has also been. They're extremely the extremely sad scenes around around the airport on Wednesday and on Thursday as well the voss majority of the actual passengers on the plane and they weren't going to End Up in Ukraine. They were transiting onto candidature about one hundred and forty also Of One hundred and seventy six people on board the plane we're going to fly on later that day Onto destinations in Canada. Basically this route Was One of the most efficient to one of the cheapest pissed ways for Iranian Canadian Air Iranians to get from Tehran to to various places in in Canada I wonder to to what thoughts there are about Ukraine again being in the middle of this huge news story because the country is also connected to impeachment here in the United States involved in a military conflict with Russia as well. There's a lot going on in the world that really affects Ukraine. Your thoughts on that. You have to say that Ukraine rain has found itself once again in extremely difficult geopolitical position. this is a country that history is not kind to and Ah once again it finds itself in an impossible position to be quite frank in the last twenty four hours or so Ukraine's friends in the West have not not been particularly helpful towards it. It seems almost that Ukraine was the last one to have access to this intelligence from from the United States pointing to it. Being a shoot down I think it's only in the last few hours. Actually the American embassy here in Kiev has come forward and given that information to the presidency. Here that's the BBC's Jonah Fisher. Kiev Jonah thank you so much. Thank you well. As tensions rose this week between Iran and the United States dates. Saudi Arabia was watching closely. The country is a US ally and a rival of Iran. Joining us. Now from Riyadh is Vivian. Near I'm WHO's a reporter with Bloomberg News Vivian. Welcome thank you would. How has this recent flare up between the US and Iran affected Saudi Arabia? Well something that a lot let people forget because Saudi Arabia of course has in the past taken a very hawkish tone toward Iran. Is that if we're we're actually going to break out. Saudi Arabia would be among the countries that would face potential retaliation could actually be severely hurt security-wise economy wise. So what we seen during this last flare up is Saudi officials really setting a message far and wide that we walked de-escalation. We do not want to see this turn into a military confrontation you know can wiser heads prevail. And let's think about the risks to the region because obviously if there were to be sort of a retaliatory attack to one of the Gulf countries or Saudi Arabia itself that would really heart Saudi Arabia and particularly at a time when they need things to be peaceful when they need things to be good for their economy because they're hosting the g twenty this year. They're trying to bring in foreign. Investors are trying to bring tourist wrist. This is not the time when you WANNA have a war right around the corner and it was just a few months ago that missile in drone strikes on Saudi oil facilities did a lot of damage to oil production there in Saudi Arabia. Arabia blamed Iran for that attack. Although Iran denied responsibility do you think that the Saudis were caught off guard by the killing of Sulamani by the United States. So it's an interesting question because there have been a couple of media reports suggesting that Saudi Arabia was not Informed or consulted ahead of time But I it doesn't seem surprising that perhaps this was a very quick attack. That Saudi Arabia was not informed about was caught off guard about about It's interesting that you mentioned the attack in September because Saudi Arabia actually so just stopped short of blaming Iran for that attack which was really interesting at the time I and a lot of people took that as a sign of Saudi Arabia trying to de-escalate and realizing we don't actually want more so they did go as far as to say Iraq had weapons were used in they even said the attack was launched from the north but I remember being at press conferences where we asked them was around behind this and they would not quite go there they would stop short of that. Okay and and in terms of the killing of Sulejmani were the Saudis happy about it do you think or do. They think that it was not good for them. Well there's been a real mixture of feelings because on the one hand so Damani is somebody who is widely viewed here as a war criminal in a state sponsored terrorist who had caused mayhem around the region through proxy wars supporting militias. So there was actually quite a lot of celebration in the Saudi media and from Saudi pundits and commentators but at the same time you did see simultaneous kind of concern and worry about the potential for that to escalate into a wider conflict. So you saw people saying we're glad so. They money's dead but let's be careful that this doesn't turn into a war you know. I was wondering as people were talking about General Suleimani and the fact that he was really The military commander for all of Iran's activities what effect His death will have on the war in Yemen which has been kind of a proxy war between Iran and Saudi Arabia. It's a bit too early early to say but we've already seen even before his death steps and effort toward ending Saudi Arabia's his involvement in the war in Yemen thought at this point. The war in Yemen has really devolved into this complex civil war. You know merged with famine and this horrible humanitarian catastrophe. So I don't think we can really talk about an end to the war in an easier way but you do see that. Saudi Arabia does seem to be moving towards trying to disengage and trying to kind of end their role in that conflict which seems to be part of a broader strategy to take a step back from some of the crises and conflicts that the kingdom has gotten involved in over the past couple of years. Does it appear to so you that because of the recent of flare up in tensions that maybe there is a chance right now for the longstanding rivalry between Iran and Saudi Arabia to kind of cool down for them to move toward a detente. That's a very good question and something that a lot of people are asking in the region right now now for two reasons first of all because there have been reports of some sort of talks perhaps going on between Saudi Arabia Iran whether those have been through intermediaries perhaps add Oscar Pakistan or whether they have been more kind of tier two unofficial think-tank level engagements has not really clear clear. But there has been a lot of chatter about our Saudi Arabia and Iran. Actually engaging in talks over the past few months prior to this killing and then the second question is whether the killing of Damani Johny ultimately could perhaps open up some space for Saudi Arabia add on to have some sort of talk because he was a large roadblock in the view of Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries towards any kind of negotiated when the Ron because they viewed his role in these proxy wars and it Cetera. Something they just couldn't stomach and now he's gone. Vivian near I'm reporter for Bloomberg based in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. Thank you thank you so

Dr. Patrick Clawson Breaks Down the U.S.-Iran Crisis

"After after the US assassinated Iranian General Qassem Sulamani last Thursday night cable news and social media were inundated with people sharing their thoughts. What's on what the strike would mean for the future of the Middle East and whether it might mean war between the US and Iran? This week I spoke with two foremost Middle East. Experts is to clear the noise and get the real sense of what this all means. I here's my interview with Dr Patrick. CLAWSON director of research at the Washington Institute a fluent Farsi Speaker an eminent Iran expert. Who helped us understand what is going on right now inside Iran? Patrick thank you so much for joining us. Yes thanks for having me now. I saw a few people comparing the other night. The assassination of Qassams Sulamani to if an enemy had killed the American American Vice President Chairman of the joint she says staff of the Armed Forces and the director of the CIA all rolled into one. I'm not sure if that's exactly Accurate but it certainly gets. The point across that Sumani was a hugely important figure in Iran. Who did most of his work outside of the country? So maybe you can tell us who was costume Sumani when he was only responsive to the supreme leader so he was somebody operated outside completely outside of the control rule the elected government and he had had quite a low profile until the battle against Isis when is is the Islamic state launched some spectacular tax writing Tehran against the modulus parliament and against Khomeini's tune. Many the Iranians became afraid that Isis was going to wound their country your same way that it unexpectedly rolled across northern Iraq and over much just Syria and there was the perception that was the role luminary guards particular vessel money who saves the country from that fate and that really is what launched him on this past being so incredibly popular and then he capitalized on on this by showing up on the front lines and the battles against Isis and the battles against the opponents of the Syrian regime and he showed up on the front lines. It's both in Iraq and Syria repeatedly tried to claim credit for Iran For the battle against Isis which was not very deserved of course the irony is that it was the sectarian policies ultra sectarian policies. That Isis had the knicks had a push the Iraqi government to adopt which. We're so responsible for young Sudanese turning to Isis. They're only possible savior. And it's this part of the broader kind of complexity the day of the Middle East that you know when we think of maybe America's enemies or or Western enemies in the Middle East. We often think of well. I guess nowadays now as we think of the Sunni extremists Isis but kind of historically we think of Shiite extremists backed by Iran groups like Hezbollah for instance. Right right right and Iran has a long history of being prepared to work with the Sunni radicals at the same time that it's fighting. That's what it did with the Taliban with what with al Qaeda in Iraq would simultaneously work with and fight these organizations and so that history of Iran being both the firemen and the arsonist is what he wrong same approach Brought to the fight against Isis. What do we know about the specifics of the attack last week? That Killed Sumani. Well we know that it was remarkably stupid on the part are risky shall always say on the part of Some money and his key Iraqi interlocateur arguably the most important person in Iraq effectively able to control all the militia. Many who adopted the The Sudan Hondas To be in the same car they made a very attractive target so so the United States was able to track some of these movements across the Middle East he had become much less discreet over the years and decided they would interact attack attack him here at the Baghdad airport at a spot where there was no possibility of collateral damage is very isolated area now in the hours after the attack a lot out of elected officials and foreign policy types you know landed on roughly the same assessment. I would say they felt that Sumani was a bad actor Dr. no-one should shed any tears that he is dead. But without any serious strategy for what comes next they felt that the assassination wouldn't be helpful. Awful step do you share that assessment. Oh I think the fascination clearly had to be accompanied by a whole lot of additional steps and We won't have to see how things things unfold for instance. I would say that. It was pretty obvious that after the assassination Iran would pick some reprisals and the hope would be that The reprisals would be like like the ones that we saw the other night in the missiles fired at Iraq year basis actions which Iran could claim were bowled strikes against United States dates but which in fact inflicted very little damage. And if that's all Iran does well and Mr Trump's decision to take out Mr Solomon need look pretty good The question is what will come next. Will Iranians Start Planning something which they will carry out in the months ahead. That'll hokey much damage than what we've seen to date. Of course that wasn't the only staff writer. The Iranian regime also announced an additional degree of noncompliance with the JCP with twenty fifteen Iran. Deal right but that had nothing to do with saw money. I mean they've been saying for some time that they plan to announce that on January fifth and sure enough. They did so since we've been told ever since November fifth that every sixty days Iran would be announcing the next step. It was hardly surprised that Iran announced measures January fifth breath. And when they did they measures were markedly less veer than what people had fought in that the expectation ever since the November fifth actions of reducing adducing Iran's commitment to nuclear deal had been announced that a good chance that on January Feron would announce it's going to stop cooperating with the enhanced inspections nations by the International Atomic Energy Agency. He wanted nothing of the sort And Iran is still cooperating. Those enhanced inspections So what Iran announced in January fifth was if anything less than what people have thought they might get. Maybe you just have a cooler demeanor but you sound rather less concerned than a lot. Lot of people out there on Cable News on twitter. Would you say that there's less to be concerned about. Then some people are portraying the situation. Well I'm a believer in the muddle through theory of history three and the dramatic events or not as likely as muddling along. I would simply say that You always have to ask yourself once the alternative So for instance a number of people partially criticizing the decision to kill someone. Money are people harshly criticized trump's decision not to respond militarily early after the attack on Saudi oil facilities and if salamone in fact was planning terrorist attacks with killed dozens or more Americans uh-huh and he'd carried those out. Then these some of these critics would have been complaining that Mr Trump hadn't done anything to forestall the actions so I would just simply say that Often when you're in a tough situation all the options facing you are tough and imperfect and in this case Mr trump came down a very different side. They come down on over the last six months. I think that we calibrating had some merit to it. Call the goodness knows. This step was a very bold and potentially dangerous injury step. Let's just turn before ran. Let's just turn quickly to a little bit about how this killing has been received inside of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ron. You mentioned that Sumani is seen or had been seen within Iran kind of the figure who saved Iran from Isis or or from other bad actors in the region there were reportedly millions of Iranians at his funeral a gathering so massive that fifty people actually died in a stampede in the middle middle of the proceedings so to what degree is that due to him truly being a revered and beloved figure or is there some degree to which the turnout was is more a sign of fear of the regime and kind of a sense of needing to fall in line. Well the government's certainly encouraged and siltation people turning out. I wouldn't say that he was beloved and revered I would say that he was respected and that many people who can't stand the Islamic republic. We'll tell you look. We don't like the Revolutionary Guards yards at all but in their hand they did save us from a worse fate namely the Dash and furthermore that last summer when Iran I was having a record floods. It was the goods for us. which effectively organized relief thought areas after the government had turned out to be utterly incompetent doing that and so there were large numbers of people in several of the cities where the funerals were held Who felt a personal gratitude to for the coots force had done for them and their neighbors? But I don't think that he was so much loved as he was respected And the image that the regime constructed for him was not really entirely accurate. Put it mildly. I mean this is a man who is also a brutal thug at home as well as a terrorist abroad and It really was a clever marketing to take advantage of the role that you played against Isis. Won't he played in flood relief to make him into a popular figure. The last question. Since president trump reimpose sanctions on Iran. The value of the Iranian riyal has plummeted. I think the exchange rate eight today stands somewhere around forty two thousand riyal to a single. US dollar there have been major protests against the regime in recent months over over economic dissatisfaction. Yes but also interestingly pushing back on repression of women and and perhaps other social issues does the US killing Sulamani Johny weaken or strengthen the standing of the regime at home. I think that it makes a lot of rainy INS scared where the future is headed. And I don't think that's good for the regime so while it's certainly true that some of the money was a unifying figure in Iran. People Kinda got S- care net the possibility that it'll be war with the United States while all this is certainly something that will be watching very closely over the coming days and weeks weeks and months. Patrick thank you so much for joining us and sharing your

Bert Explained: State of the Art Language Model for NLP

"By my own personal final accounting burt is a sufficiently advanced technology and therefore tautological is magic the what is Bert. You've got to separate that in two generally areas I the bird architecture and we'll get to that but it's a very clever way of making machine learning find its way to a solution. It's providing some smart mechanisms so that when standard learning approaches are applied basically gradient descent and that sort of thing thing that it is at least plausible hopefully likely that in some unquantified period of time this unsupervised learning model will we'll develop a particularly useful and informed encoding boo not a good T. L. D. R. Let's try that again so T. L. Dr Burt Bert accepts text as input. This texts can be of arbitrary length that is a property that isn't true in a lot of historic settings the fact that sentences or a variable length and in fact in a document roughly speaking the further apart two sentences are from one another probably correlates with how much they relate into each other but it's also not that unusual for page. I Dunno ninety seven of a book to reference something of page seven in the same book having no mentions between eight ninety ninety six and expect the reader to connect those two ideas connect the definition or whatever the case may be now of course some authors are more talented at that than others but but without a doubt a true language understanding machine would amongst other things need to be able to look at arbitrary links of text. You know a model that only looks at the last last fifty words. I built a lot of stuff like that. It solves reasonable problems blunt instrumentation but that can get the job done so okay. The input is raw text text arbitrary length which is great. There's even folk wisdom about how you can split up a document in either by paragraphs or sentences or whatever so one document becomes a series collector's. Oh yeah the vector so Bert you give it as input that text and output comes a fixed length numeric vector so for the sake of this podcast cast. Let's pretend that it's a three dimensional embedding space and got X. Y. Z. The real bird or at least burt base. I guess I should say there's a whole little taxonomy Johny of birds in different variants that I will not be getting into here but the base burt is a seven hundred sixty eight dimensional vector no problem linear era algebra is linear that number is even a point of research and the original bird paper which I found it hard to believe only hit the archive October Kolber eleventh two thousand eighteen my gosh it has taken the world by storm since then Burton all the subsequent things we really didn't episode on Elmo that everyone should go back and check check out if you missed that one elmo sort of the precursor to Berta in some ways the inspiration and in other ways the benchmark has the burt paper has a really interesting way of presenting its. It's formalism it goes to great lengths to restrict a certain type of training of its model to be more or less at parity with what the ELMO team did in other words trying to say hey we're not gonNA cheat by just using more computer hardware because powder resources. You just throw more money. It wouldn't be surprising that you train a better model and then they went onset. Onset will okay if we also relaxed that constraint and see what is our model do unbounded now we have appointed comparison between how Mohan Burt and we can look at a larger training set head of Burton's see how it does as well in terms of I guess would a business person would call the return on investment from training that larger model and quite frankly paying for the computer hardware to keep it in memory.

A Crash Course in Business Model Innovation

"Technological innovation and business model innovation are really the same thing and this is really pervasive found in the high tech stuff that word where you might have have technical founders which initially might believe that all they need is technology that innovation to succeed in the marketplace but in reality what you need it's really business model innovation which comes down in understanding your customers and the problems that they're facing before you've been provide technical a solution so what i'm saying is that by believing that technology innovation. He's the same thing of business moderation. You believe that by providing a technical solution generally ever accompany back if you have a technical solution that nobody wants. You don't have a company so this is very important to understand business. Model innovation starts by defining the problem has clearly as possible embalmed standing the customers esley possible amana standing would existing sitting affinities. They're using and then after that creating technology product that can help them actually saw that specific problem not. Let's get it forward. Let's understand what's to be smarter than it's really made the different abilities locks and it can be defined as an only stick repeatable and scalable week to create and capture value now. Let the stanford what's the mindset behind the business model innovation business model innovation. It's about using experimentation in the entire british ship world so we're enterpreneurs use to make most of the decisions based on gas. Now we the business model innovation. We won't introduce a bit of experimentation so that we can actually speed up the process of launching successful businesses and and especially if we want to minimize the time that we waste and financial resources that we waste in the businesses which will never beat successful so again be smaller than innovation is about experimentation and a business model is just unexpected meant that an interpreter he strained to implement in the real world so so if scientists have actually you know experiments in the lab to test their ideas an entrepreneur can actually manufacture a business model to see if this is gonna work in the world and if it does this is going to be an opportunity to build a viable business so where scientists is gonna cry to prove let the <unk> interpreter actually gonna try to grab a market opportunity and these different <unk> otherwise is very easy to confuse enterpreneur for a scientist. Those are very different girls with very different objectives now. Let's forward and lessen the stand that difference between just digital as a small end the so-called platform business model i won't do i like the french vehicles settled misunderstanding around the topic so as in the digital allege many companies have a website as soon as they actually open up their website. They call themselves apply for a waiver of lot from business this model. It's something more complex than that. Let me give you a weak example when you go on amazon and you buy a product chances are this product is not a actually relative the made by amazon but is the product which she's <hes> sand by a third party seller on damage platform therefore amazon is not just johny homers amazon is a platform is about from business model because on needs website it all third party sellers which are actually selling their products products through amazon and amazon is using these inventories to fulfill to actually delivered the sprouts for since in many cases so again in this case as ahmanson platform because it's managing the bhakti products so is not just setting its products so he's not selling. It's france in linear way way so just like a normal basis but it's managing the interactions on the platform and the mortar company manages in deductions the more it is about from business model it is also leveraging on data and it is leveraging on technology which is able to process the state up to actually create what we call in the business world network took effect to mean that the more users free might join a bat from the more the platform might become actually valuable that for if you have a website and you start to build your product and savvy to your customers. This is a very linear business end as sach. These is not latte from business model. You can always start a new governor. Wastelands form your company in the platform obese model if it makes sense because in some cases blood from mrs models actually a very high degree of scabby and because they can take advantage of what we called network effects but in reality in most cases you want to focus initially on building your linear business zone offering products or services that you own or that you can actually deliver alert unless of course you're building marketplace which is different kinds of business on now. Let's say really quick glance and understanding between the into business models amazon google facebook now if we look at john actually look like as ecommerce business model from the outside. If luke luke winning company we can see the company's seven when it -sition strategies from a._w._s. Which is a lot from which is an ecosystem which is different from the main platform <hes> which targets free since ski customers accompanies and depth of winning companies like seals and so the existing looks quite different from in the ecommerce spot from and then it also has another -tising machine which targets free since a third party sellers which sells items on the platform itself so again <unk>. If at it superficially we might conclude and if you look at the meditation we met concluded that i'm he's primarily an ecommerce. It's not then if look at google which is cold alphabet the the primary company. If you look at the money decision again we might conclude the google is still a media business but in reality if look more indepth weekend realized that google really is a diversified as when in fact it says police since android platform which is mobile up from that is stem that has different logics compared to the other parts of the business and again even if he makes most of its money still from the product it's alerts business although steve primarily a media company including a company like facebook facebook three neverthe- advertising machine and if you look at the news feed which is the primary asset to the company and that's where most most the money's made and today named percent of all of his grandma's are coming from advertising invisible the products like messenger or <hes> eastern ram which also add up to the monetization strategy company so if you ask me what's miss molly. We'll see stephanie facebook. It's still primarily under -tising businessman now. If you look at the door that you have available to actually uranium business that are similar to say you can use emmy allied three tools the first one the business model canvas by alexander also wonder these of any <hes> do which can be used and it's made the <unk> blocks that can help you understand any candle handle business. <unk> of the business model canvas called the lean canvas by ash manja. N._b._c.'s also useful for companies which are starting from scratch because it suited to focus on understanding the key customers and the problems that they're facing with existing <unk> tentatives existing democracies have their in which is called scaling cam which extracted from the book the skating by golden by rid of mine co-founder of lincoln. Actually it is a a tool that looks modern ovation by leveraging on for growth factors and avoiding to vote leaders now without going join do much into that. Those are some of the tools that you can use of course you can find them on for week m._b._a. But now just to finalize and a few key takeaways these reasons modal innovation. It's really about experimentation. He tweeted about you know manufacturing experiments reward so that you can minimize the time takes to build a successful

UK's Johnson moves to suspend Parliament ahead of Brexit

"Hell has broken loose this morning. As boris johnson announced his intention to schedule a queen's speech on the fourteenth of october and suspend parliament for the four or five weeks beforehand james this completely appended the battle between boris johnson the anti no deal factions in parliament so yesterday you had the opposition bodies coming together so they basically look look at passing a law to force boris johnson to seek an extension. This is essentially dining streets response. I it is a move designed to massively limit the amount aalto time available for passing any such law and it is essentially saying to m._p.'s when palmer returns on tuesday you'll ever need to know confidence me all except for i'm basically kept my my way essentially but you also see in this letter here center m._p.'s as well so abortions and he is trying to save piece bear with me. I'm still aiming for deal so this is still not a government. This is explicitly aiming for no deal now. I think you can't say this is in tani. Johny normal constitutional procedure in the length of the population is long is long by modern signs is a very long one but it is also not a totally unprecedented maneuver people who came out you know coups and we're all getting over heated because this is what what happens before queen speech but obviously the time you miss queensmead is designed to limit as much as possible for legislative options available to suppose m._p.'s trying to stop a not brexit and is about. Do you think the opposition m._p.'s failed to get the act together to watch respond to this properly. They are going to be able to get. I bet act together because even they yesterday we had three different things saying they will do anything anything possible to stop and they still brexit we also saw in that frenzy of activity quite how split these groups are even the turks jeremy cope with physician leaders basically broke up with the the two different groups who jeremy corbyn those he invited saying slightly different things about what they degrade them and then you've got the church house declaration which was organized ice bhai formulate m._p. Luciana perjuring existing labour m._p. Steven downs he hit which again is a slightly different grouping of m._p. As some of you wouldn't want to work with jeremy corbyn there were few torey empty signed that declaration but then if you'd have to the conservative group which it doesn't have a leader doesn't have a name of the quds squads that has a split as we were discussing on yesterday's pause between those who want to stop no deal and those who actually want to stop brexit and they've been coming up up against these differences for months now perhaps boris johnson is done the favor by basically eighty forcing them into some kind of action but it's very difficult to see how they are going to be able to agree over the next few days. What that course of action is going to be and on who's going entity in charge of in yellow thing. This is a reminder of these downing street is not going to play by the conventional rules which is ah wanted that evacuate a bill which was designed to make the prime minister seeking extension were because theresa may essentially cooperated with it. I think it's quite clear porcelain since prepared to perogie broke parliament in this matter if pond postal requiring him to seek an extension he would find some way to that that there's one obvious way to do that would repeat request extension in such a way e e would be bound to refuse it so for example parliament's as you got to request an extension bortles and says right so that's donald tusk saying <music>. I'm requesting. Essential palmans told me but by the way i'm going to be the most bloody difficult and obstreperous member of year you've ever seen i'm more offense. Century prevent you from functioning as an organization the e._u. Would refuse circumstances alternatively. He could say well. I wade davis so if you want to promise ican extension. You've got to bring me down. Bring them up. This whole signaled the no confidence vote in this whole issue of jeremy corbyn because obviously jeremy kobe doesn't allow anyone else become prime minister other than him but backing jeremy jeremy kuhlman is as his body was saying is is too much for lots of tory m._p.'s ano- say philosophy is growing group of independent m._p.'s. You've left that party or or arbor policies because ideological differences is it does seem that boston has slightly stepped away from the nuclear option that probation isn't going to happen over the brexit deadline headline on the first of october. Why do you think that is. I think it basically gives him enough time again. As james says to just tutorial m._p.'s that he does else he does still want to see a deal also gives him in time for the next few weeks and over the conference recess to do some of those negotiations but also to to set out domestic stole the letter that he said to 'em piece today basically tried to justify prorogation on grounds that the government needed a bold new domestic agenda and the time had already been wasted over the past three years with bill's very worthy but we've just really seen as a way of repulsing the time in parliament's and so that's his justification for education but what it also does means that the government can talk about what it wants to do domestically okay ahead of the election that everyone is now expecting to be called in reasonably short order

"The new headline tonight in the race for twenty twenty johny joe biden's wife dr jill biden and what she said about her husband even if he's not your favorite candidate that that should not be the deciding factor according to her. Here's here's mary bruce joe. Biden with a blunt appeal to voters may like another kennedy better but you have to look at who is suddenly her pitch the even if you're not with joe biden on every issue you should support him anyway. If you want to beat trump your candidate might be federal on healthcare. Then then joe is but you've got to look at who's going to win this election and maybe you have to swallow a little bit and say okay. I personally like so so better for your bottom. Line has to be half trump's in iowa today. The former vice president asked about his wife's comments she she was making the case. You should pick the person you could win because none of our issues will matter if donald trump wins that was the point. It's also the point he's making in his first. I campaign ad we have to be done and all the polls agreed joe. Biden is the strongest democrat to do the job mary any reaction tonight from the other democratic candidates well david no response directly to joe biden's comments but biden's opponents say they can beat trump too. They argued that voters. Don't have to make this choice that they can follow their our principles and still defeat the president david. Mary bruce live in washington. Thanks

President, Donald Trump And Don Mcgann discussed on Clark Howard

"Special counsel. Robert Muller said if we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that the president clearly did not commit obstruction of Justice. We would so state mother said we are unable to reach that judgment. The report was more definitive about collusion despite finding hundreds of contacts between the Trump campaign and the Russians were joined now by three members of the ABC news investigative team. Chris Vlasto Johnson Tucci in Matt Moscow. Matt let's start with you. If I could numerous links, the report said between Russia and those in the Trump orbit, but insufficient evidence to support a criminal charge. Yeah. I mean, you just nailed it. Basically, there is no legal charge of collusion. And the attorney general came out this morning and told the world that there was no legal finding of criminal activity. In terms of conspiracy or coordination between Russians and the Trump campaign. But this is hundreds of pages of detailed examples of what I think the average person might consider something close to collusion. A lot of conversation. A lot of discussion between Russian agents seeking to influence the election seeking to help the Trump campaign and eager and willing followers from the Trump campaign who wanted to get that help or certainly didn't turn it away. So I think in that way, even though it was not a criminal indictment of the president. It was an indictment of him in some respects Matha contacts involve business, it involved campaign dirt it involved a scope of of different connections that it appeared the Russians were trying to make with associates of the Trump campaign if nothing. Was there an incident or two that was outlined that stuck out to you as as either particularly noteworthy or particularly damning, I think one thing that stood out as particularly noteworthy were comments from Michael Flynn who was one of the one of candidate trumps close to closest advisers, and who went into the White House for a brief period who said that the president was aggressive in his desire for the campaign team to find Hillary Clinton's missing thirty thousand emails, and that the people working on the campaign and Flint among them responded to that that they actually went in various ways in pursuit of Hillary's emails. And so it's not a distant leap to go from from there to what ultimately happened, which is the hacking of of the. Allies to the Clintons and the Democratic National Committee. John lemme ask you to even as the the the the president has for the last couple of years called everything fake news. The the the way the report outlines some of what the president has said or done. Everything seems true everything that's been reported or that was at least suspected seems to be validated by by the report. So how is the president going to be responding? Well, listen, I mean, anybody that's covered. Donald Trump knows that the two words fake news or not gonna leave his vernacular. But the reality is, you're totally right. I mean, you you go through the scenarios that we were hearing over the course of the last two plus years at Donald Trump has been inside the Oval Office and the conversations that he was having with some of his top aides and some of his former aides about trying to remove Jeff Sessions multiple times. Trying to remove special counsel, Robert Muller things that we were reporting and tracking are all laid out in black and white based on interviews at the special counsel headed with many witnesses over the last twenty two months of his investigation, specifically, Erin, I think the amount of conversations that are detailed that the president had with his then White House counsel, Don Mcgann, trying to fire Jeff Sessions trying to fire special counsel, Robert Muller of the president reacting in one of the of reports details to a report in the New York Times that references a conversation. The president had what Mcgann about firing Robert Muller president. According to this report sees that story in the New York Times and demands that Don Mcgann gets out there and says that that's not true. The Don Mcgann, apparently shoots back. We'll that would be lying, sir. And you know, the president calls down Mcgann, quote, allying bastard. I mean, you just really get that inside fly on the wall feel from this report of what was happening in the Oval Office during some of these tense moments that we were reporting out in real time. Are they're going to be any repercussions. We had heard that a number of aides to the president or or Republicans in Trump's orbit generally were a little nervous. Not because of what the content was going to reveal. But because the report was going to reveal that they had said it about the president. Listen, I think that Donald Trump is going to take away from this report what he wants, right? So we know that as far as collusion he is taking that as a complete and total victory will he know what some of his aides said about him. Sure. But at the same time, you know, the president put everyone out there to cooperate. This White House did not push back on anybody going in for interviews. They didn't stop a handover of documents almost one point two million. We've heard that numerous times from Rudy Julie. Johny? But you know, I think the people that were nervous about this. And we did hear some of that reporting as you mentioned over the last couple of days are people that frankly, my understanding don't really have a relationship with the president anymore done Mcgann has no ongoing relationship with the president or his inner circle. Other people that told the truth and and good spelled out there like Corey Lindau sqi e details the conversation with the president with the president asked him to go deliver. A message to Jeff Sessions Lewin, douse key is one of the president's most trusted advisers. He still travels with the president today on board Air Force One. And I do not expect that to change chris'll returned to you. What's the portrait of the president that's painted by this report, even absent a criminal charge or or the specter of a criminal charge? What did we learn from this report about Donald Trump? Well, I think it it. We learn the the worst part for Donald Trump is back. The mount of lies the sheer volume of lies. He lies to the press. All the time. He lies in tweets. He gets back wrong, the Washington Post, but to have a prosecutor detailed in such a way that may be the lingering effect of this. And I I know that the Democrats the leadership is saying that there's they're not going to impeach. And I think because they learn the lesson of Bill Clinton. But the reason they put I think they're hoping for the Democrats is that when people go to the polls two years from now they're gonna look at this amount of deception and lying, and that's going to be a problem for the president. I know he thinks that the base is ninety percent behind him. But that but this portrait of the consistency. The disregard for the truth. That's a hard thing to overcome when? It's going to live now for history in black and white. I think late at night when he's sitting at home tonight in mar-a-lago. He's going to be wondering this is my this is my portrait this is what I will live in history forever. And I think the quote out of that he knew it when he said when the appointment with the think sessions, and he used an expletive and said, my presidency is expletive. He knew what this meant. He knew what this legacy is going to be whether it's going to bog him down, and he can't do the job. But now he's going to have to live with this for the next two years in terms of crisis communications crisis. PR it's hard to argue this as anything, but a masterful performance given the volume of bad facts that are stacked up in this report he has managed to blunt most of that most of what we saw here we already knew about. And so it's very easy for. For Trump and his allies to say this all feels old and there because there's no criminal charge. That is at the end of this. It's also easy for him to say that it ultimately bore no fruit yet, we see four hundred plus pages of of of an outcome, but to the general public it's hard to know how they'll take away from it. Matt moss. Chris Vlasto Johnson chief from the ABC news investigative unit. President Trump actually said nothing publicly after the reports released but took to his preferred medium Twitter to restate what has been his mantra all along quote. I had the right to end the whole witch on if
