"It's monday april twenty six almost out of the mother fucking weeds. Another month down. Let's start off by talking about the listen. I don't like talking about the euro seekers it's rogan staying. He's the master of this shit. I don't have made people on here. Nothing like that. But i do want to talk about what happened saturday night 'cause it was a tremendous bucking card. I don't watch all the cards. Like i didn't watch the steep a card. I didn't watch that fight. I didn't watch the fight before. I got shit going on now and i'm a little busy but this week's called i gotta hand at the dana white may dog. I talk ship. That fucking card was pure heat. And like what the fuck. I was looking forward to the card or goddamn week. And i knew i wasn't a place a bet i started looking around tuesday but i gotta make a confession to you guys today about how i gambled just so you know it's this easy and this is a secret and they've been winning for me lately. I don't say nothing about it. But let's start on how i do it first of all. I got into a gambling as a child. I enjoyed sports gambling. But i hated paying the fucking bookie. Okay big fucking big problem that you can't fucking gamble and hate paying the fucking book you so i said if it's either between gambling what snorting coke both of them vices. Which vice am i gotta go with. I picked behind. What was kurt number two. I went with the cocaine. Because at least i'm looking at windows and i'm crawling and i'm looking and carpeting in and i got a jerk off when you got dead dick challenges. Why am i going to gamble. It's easy. I'm just gonna give it some place a bat and i'm gonna fucking lose because i'm a loser. I didn't know how to read fucking lines but then i went to work for a sports. Betting service okay. And i'm gonna give you guys a big secret one of the things of sports betting service when they call you negative mike. How you doing. Pete palo here fucking johnny steele. I got up. Fuck can parlay you. That's gonna knock your mother's pampas. He added up buccaneers socket. And you're you're a degenerate gamblers and you're gonna fall go fucking ballet holy shit. That's that's what i'm looking for. What's it gonna cost me while it's an acquired shoot three hundred to make it three thousand dollars Fuck you john steele. I don't know if i'm gonna fucking do that. You're a phony. What i usually do as a sports betting salesman as you go. Okay fine. i'll tell you what you don't wanna fuck and sign up in me fucking Great have yo way. I'm not gonna sit here and argue with you over three hundred dollars but you know what i'm the type of guy. I'm a christian. Let me help you out a little bit. What are you betting. And they'll tell you go. I have jessica on dried and i have Your riot fehb your ryall okay. Automatically my response is to say even though know deck. I know nothing about none. I don't know about training. Camps know about fighters my response to fuck with their head is to automatically say listen one of your sides right but one of yours opera civil we'll given out tonight. You're going to lose you. Don't tell them what the team is. You just keep him fucking just fucked with that person and fox at the head all night. They're going fucking. Johnny steele told me again when johnny johnny you know what your chances are within that way. Slim and fucking none so the next day. I'm gonna call you as johnny steel and go janis steel here. Did i fucking tell you. You had the wrong side with jessica. Andrade cock sucker jessica on drives a great fucking fighter. But you don't know you don't know which one's gonna show up last night. She had the months ahead. Do you know she showed up with the fucking martine. Moreno look about a year ago. She threw rose more macgyver. Fucking head you don't know what she's gonna show up which so there were so many fucking different great cards to fight last night so i looked at the use mind against the george mazda by fight. There was too much emotion in that fight. Plus george this is why when you live in jersey. You don't bet the giants or the jet because you get emotional. They your teams. You grew up with them. The nets you don't do when i was growing up was the nets and the fucking giants rule number one. My friends would say bentham. Because you're with your heart not what you had. So i stayed away from the fucking mazda fight. I like valentina. And i liked the The other girl. The no the other girl but i didn't i wasn't sure valentine is fucking hard headed about it and this girl was going to pick her up and body slam when she did it against rose. I didn't think it was going to happen. The the anthony johnson against the australian. Acdc came up to high. With how liked it. I didn't know anything about him. You know i know. Anthony johnson to kill killer. So i couldn't just that one on a roll and i kind of like you ryan hall but i like chris wide and he's a good guy didn't wanna bet against them so i was left in a fucking pickle so now i'm left with fucking doug roles and then the girl the chinese girl who i fucking thing is tremendous right. So i'm looking at this thing and i'm going just so you guys know what i'd do so you guys know what i'm doing at night. I'm telling you one of my secrets. The most people don't tell you a secret. I tell you everything. Hey you go so. The only thing i had left was doug rose and the chinese fight so i looked at it and thug. Rose was an underdog. You gotta jump on that all day. Long unless you fucking retarded unless there's something wrong with you. How can you know doug rose and underdog you gotta jump on that but it takes you back to a couple of weeks ago when steve bay for own guy or whatever it's fucking the guy whatever. His name is too big african guy. Not from nigeria. From the other place but member he was a steep was underdog. How many people bet steep at night. A lot of fuckers bad steep that i didn't even know big steeplechase fan because i saw the fix was in. He's an underdog they want you to bet that they want you to say. How can we be fucking underdog. So i said fuck. I don't wanna bet rose. Just in case i think rose could take but i don't know but then thank god to draft kings. They have the over under on the fight and they have the boost. So what do i do even with the dirty screen. I put a when. I put those things up at night. I love zion williamson. I love bat new orleans. They always cover for me. But i always put. When i'm going to bet new orleans up. I listen i during the week on the nba. It's twenty five bucks guys. I'm not getting rich you. I'm just doing it. Because i'm having a great time with draft kings and i get to watch the game from quarterback you know what's on tnt or something like that. I watched the game while mercy's in the bathtub or something. The game starts at seven. Fifteen and i watched it just see housi- and his doing but when i put that up on twitter and instagram it's not the fucking promoted. It's to see what you guys say. Because if you guys come back to me and go if i even though i'm let's say let's say i love anthony johnson last night right even though i love anthony johnson. I know he's gonna win. I'm gonna put it on there. And i'm gonna see how many people are gonna go with anthony. Johnson if i see too many knuckleheads like anthony. Johnson i stay away from anthony johnson. Because it's we you have to go against the fucking crowd to win and bookmaking so when you look at someone everybody fucking likes them like everybody likes them. You gotta fucking be careful. So what i usually do. It night is when. I tweet those things. Why instagram i do it to see your reaction. All is said rose last night. Not one is said when. I was like fucked. Now i can't bat rose but none is made a comment about the over and under not one is looked at. It was four point five. That means they gotta go five fucking around both of them. Trevor wittman trains fucking and road grows. And what bruce. Lee's uncle trains to girl from china. That both very technical strikers. I knew somebody was gonna get knocked out so four point five browns..

"Say get the kids back in school. I don't mean because this is you know, we're talking about this. I don't mean let's get the back and virtual learning. I mean Monday back of the classroom If they've been able to learn during virtual learning. There is no difference in their ability to learn. If you say Get back to the classroom and the numbers in this country, Sean Show that there is a 1.7% risk of mortality for the age group 15 to 24. There is a 1.2%. Age 5 to 14 and a 140.6%. Age one before And even if teachers are age 44 it's only a 6.9%. There is no reason whatsoever for any of this nonsense to be going on one second longer. No, it's not about providing daycare as about continuing the education of the kids. While giving the parents he bitterly to return to normalcy. We've put up with the government telling us a whole lot of nonsense in the last year, it's time we finally say we're done with that. While there's also Very I think in jury s behavior that is being suffered by these Children. As far as depression. Suicide suicide rate has gone up. Mental health issues have gone up. And their their scores have gone down. Many Children are being grated. It's either pass or fail many if you just show up and you log in your you get graded on that not so much on content. And so on and so forth. Look, I've talked to a number of teachers and I'm not blaming teachers. I understand teacher doing the best they can. It's the administrators. It's the teachers unions. And here. They know we had one of our very good collars talking about. Well, you have to pay the teachers if you're gonna because we need to catch up. We've missed the whole What was that? We went out of school West march. All right, so it's almost been a whole year. Without instruction. We have fallen. We're already behind the world where we're falling. A holy year behind the world. We need to catch up. We need catch up a whole generation of kids. And if you have to stay in what the hell is all that money in that stupid covert relief bill going towards besides, federal workers getting $21,000 bonuses, take that money and pay the teachers. If they have to stay in and staggering. However, they have to do it. Pay the teachers to stay in school and get our kids called up today. I have no problem of compensating teachers. Just make sure whatever money goes towards the teachers can't be shared with the unions. That would be my only caveat there nationwide on Lee 2/10 of 1%. Mortalities from covert 19 were younger than age 25. 2/10 of 1% there a number of other causes of death that are higher than 2/10 of 1%. And we've never said Let's keep all the kids out of school for that. And again, the numbers show. This has been something that attacks an older population. The older you get the more risk areas, but for 99% of the teachers out there, and for 99.98% of all the kids out there, there's no reason That quote Virtual learning has to continue another second. Get back in the classroom. Teach the kids we shall do. That's great idea. Alright, right in our good friend Johnny Steele's with US ReMax community That is Maryland's real estate expert. Happy having here again this morning. Good morning, Vinnie. Hey, Good morning, guys. Happy Friday, the weekend party view. But here s O tell us when he how did the radiothon for Johns Hopkins Children's Center go yesterday? Oh, it was great guys a little different this year because of the pandemic. They usually have the phone banks set up in the lobby area the hospital, But this year they're doing it remotely. I think they only had about 10 people covering the phones. So we we sponsored the power hour yesterday during lunch time. It was a big hit, and during the power hour we doubled any donation. That was that was made by somebody just calling in Holy smokes. Now we know that you've been partnered with Johns Hopkins Children's Center for years, many Yeah, that's right. Bruce is part of the core values of our company. Given back to the community that has given us so much over the past nearly two decades, the radio thon is continuing today so you could visit my Facebook page. Click on the link to make a donation. You could find me on Facebook by going to you could type in remax community, Andy and I mean a lot to me and the kids. Any donation is appreciated. So if you could do $5 or $500, it all means something. No, I don't think many people are aware of this city that Johns Hopkins realize on sponsorships and donations to keep the doors open. That's right shoulder and it costs a million dollars a day. Just open the doors so and there's so many things that an insurance doesn't cover on DATs, where donated dollars go so things like the library, making sure kids have the access to the latest books, books that their kids are actually interested in reading, And they have these these red wagons that they used to transport the kids to treatment and surgery instead of using wheelchairs. S o. They do things to try to bring some light into these kid's lives that are facing some of the darkest days that anybody can ever imagine, then so cool and we know that you donated a lot of money. Ah, year in you're out a bunch of money last year, but you have a new mission this year. Explain it to us. That's rightfully so. We're super excited. This year. We're on a missionary's $25,000. So anybody that's referred to our real estate company. Not only they're going to receive our award winning service, but they could be rest assured that a substantial portion of her income is going to go support the amazing work that they're doing over at Johns Hopkins Children's Center. So the big question that everybody is. Who do you know that's looking to make a move in the next few months that you could refer over to our our real estate company? I'm sure you'll make it really easy for people to refer their friends and family or anyone else. That they might know looking to make a move. That's right, Shawn. We set up a special website. So it's www dot steel rewards. So Ste Oh, rewards dot com.

"Above. All the world's a platform Tech Company and all of us about users. Okay in my head that sounded much more profound but has platforms take over the world companies and their marketers rushing into fill the void. Which is where we run into our old nemesis attention. Grabbing attention from small business owners who are working for their own paycheck or for the Gargantuan Tech companies that make it happen is really hard. But in this episode, we speak with marketing executive who combines referrals, community product and events physical and virtual to make it happen. And like mastermind or making a dog out of a balloon, these sound easy, but are really really hard to do. Well, we also touch on dealing with massive crisis communication challenges when partners run into trouble and a core marketing theme that our guest identified as working and has made worked as advantage beforehand, the mic over a Mayton, you're tuning into marketers and capes with. The CMO and my guest today might not be wearing a cape, but he has the most superhero name I've ever hosted meet Johnny, Steele, the VP global marketing pain here. So what are they actually do? Ignoring the past couple of months for a bit and I wish we could can you provide a little bit of context for why pay near was like when they got started and what having that early mover advantage did for you guys. So, when we first started out, we found really interesting me of. Marketplaces the platform economy and ready to go ten fifteen years. "Roger is that was a duty through his glove to his glove, Okay, Glove hat and then blown kisses. I've got to say, I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. He's a young player, too. And he's a kid. And how about the match? Mostly coming out to his former teammate Machado being like so then? So you know what to be honest guys at all, honestly. I'll take it will I will every minute. I will. You know, they're both going at each other. It's highs, high stakes giant and wolf in and what padrone can't go. Padres have no leg right to get on with it with the jump Bass brothers thing they do on every home run with with Machado out of the dugout, like like, Dude, he's walking like a pit bull in front of the dugout, half the time like root news team on guys around chasing around. He's like out of the ground. Rules about this come all in on this. I'm all in, but I know I'm in. I'm just saying, what's What's the double state? It's like, you know, eyes. If a guy's chucking your glove in his hat and blowing kisses at you, you've gotta responded something. He already threw his bat like a like Tom Brady. You sounds of innings earlier, so it gets a race that gets a raise. I'll just say when Gradel's doing that I you gotta responded. You got to drop a couple blank use. This is what he was doing. He was and then they get the blankets back. It was great. It was great theater. It was great. You know, I'm actually not gonna blame either side. I do? I did. My buddy Steve Elena's big Dodger fan is his pissing and moaning about Machado Todo. You are pissing money to years ago when you had him, you know, five years ago with his antics, you know, I'm saying I'm just saying it was. It was crazy Theater man. I don't think I've seen the blown kisses and the into this this totally totally upstaged. The A's also mean days had a hell of a vase. That was that was that that you know what the A's have gone from the team. Who we say can't get anything done in the post season two back to back weeks, showing some showing some hair. I think it's down more exit to the White Sox coming back yesterday, I credit markets. Thompson, too, because he said it with such authority goes all the A's win today like he said, Yes, he was so popular and Laureano, who did his best hunter Pence in Pretoria, 100. They weren't flat. They were going out on a buddy of my kid I coached in Junior's Oakland has now grown up and actually getting married. Now shut out. Johnny Steele. He put on Twitter. Hey said. Well, I guess at the end of the sixth inning, he said, Well, I guess it's just another disappointment for me. And he said, I guess we'll just the team's coming back next year. We'll just use this for October experience next year. And I, even though I am not rooting for the A's, I wrote back said You can't give up after the sixth inning, they could tell us that the job is mall, sit down and enjoy the last night out. Steve That was a moment where Laureano gathered the group he because I guess a span's kind of felt like the end of six. It was dead. It was bad. I mean they because they kept getting a lead, and then they just give it up. It was like to give. I mean, it was bizarre not to just Didn't have his best stuff, but yeah, dude in the gleam Hendrix out there, man. This guy's Yeah, yeah, I just don't really see what he's got today. But I can you know again, I got to the point where I am so old where you know when? Three innings three innings from relief is what we used to see all the time, right? And now now it's groundbreaking stuff like Don the cave Man Robinson or already made the comparison to gossip. And really did you see the stuff I saw yesterday was allowed coffee who disagree job for the athletic of tracking down like She did the Sandy Koufax story. She's telling a bunch of increased one cannon made his catch. You got Joe Joe rooting like two minutes. So did she tracked down a grand ball for yesterday and she didn't get a piece of Grandpa Australia. The angry I couldn't tell if he was in Australia, but I mean, he hails from Sydney, and he said he's been all over Liam Hendriks because he's one of 35 is used to make it to the bigs, and he holds the position as closer for the A's that he used to hold me said. I think the reason we like pitching for the A's Is, he said. You get to wear the green and gold. So makes you feel like you're in awe. Scribes in uniform. Plus you get the big A on your chest that began on your head like a like a RePet our country out there. That's pretty sweet. That's great. Now is this tilt in sashimi in anyway? I know she's you know. She's as loves her son, Liam Hendriks. Whenever he comes in, I see you're Ozzy's coming in. She goes. Oh, that's my boy! And she was feeling it yesterday when she was rude and Astros actively the other day, But then, Dude, here comes Liam Hendricks, the angry Jassi and she's got a serious all in pretty good, Nick name and Herculaneum. That's working Williams. Pretty good. Good. Yeah, it's pretty now. Will he be able to go today? I don't know..

"Were using really Simply say yes or no. A lot of folks willing in again on the school issue on a CZ again. I haven't understand. Maybe Chuck misheard. And thought we were attacking teachers and his daughter, but it certainly wasn't the case. Here is, James says our school office to field the call after call this week from parents and upset students, saying they cannot get logged in. Or they get booted off the network. They can't get help from the tech phone hotline. It just rings and rings. They put in a tech request for help online and wait days to hear back. They're not allowed to stop by school for help. And at your question, there's no way of knowing of a child's paying attention to the lessons because students just needs a log in They may keep their mikes and their cameras off. Virtual learning is a disservice to all except the union's this from an anonymous public school employee s O. That is, for one. Here's another one from Mike from Colombia's lovers show. Our public school system is marginally a functional on a good day. For many, many students, distance learning has made a bad thing worse, but since they're trying really hard We should give the system a pass on. Of course again. It's kind of porn. And now this is from Mark. My wife thinks the teachers don't want to go back. I think the doesn't want him to go back. Your thoughts. We had to buy a WiFi range extender to fix our connectivity issues. How many others can afford two are figure out their problems. When we could tell you the city they've had a bunch of people donate 30,000 laptops. Andi that's nibbling at the edge of Peggy Mail this and I'm tired of hearing how hard the teachers are working. My son works virtually from all in, plus. Yes, it is. Three elementary school Children one a kindergartner online. He has to do his own job and then help his three kids during the day. Well, unfortunately, this is one of the things that happens when you're a parent issue. Never Stop worrying about your kids, and you never stop helping him. That is so true. It is coming up in a 20 here with our good friend Johnny Steele with ReMax Community of India's Maryland real estate expert Happen to have him back on the show. Good morning, Vinnie. A good morning, guys happy Friday. The weekend is here. That's right. So we know you're out there. You're so homes three times faster than the average agent in the area. But I know that there's some homes just sitting out there. What seems like forever with the sale sign in front month after month. So how can that happen? When the market has been so hard? I thought at this point, everything is selling like hotcakes. Yes, that's that's what most people think. Last year, 32% of the homes didn't sell the first time around those air. The homes that seemed to linger on the market and they're picked through by all the buyers ultimately wind up getting overlooked by competing homes. And that could be a very frustrating process or someone thinking about selling their home. We often say that you get one chance to sell your home, right. And if you wind up choosing the wrong agent, you could really miss the market altogether and actually have her wait until next year. Get your home sold, man. I have been there one of those cellars again If I was selling my house now I want it quick and painless. Yeah, exactly Meteo. That's why we develop what we call the pricing strategy to help our soldiers understand how the real estate market works how pricing works. Had a strategically price your home and and in order to have multiple buyers interested in their home all the same time, instead of what most real cities on companies do, and that's negotiating in a vacuum with one buyer to time and we'll ask her cellar what they think if they think they'll have more leverage if they're interested if they have one buyer versus having multiple buyers that are competing on their property all the same time. Yeah. I mean, that's exactly what I would want. But let them bid against each other. So you get more money, right? Yeah. Yeah, exactly, Shawn. And as certainly part of the process, definitely putting more money in their cellars. Pockets on average were able to get our cellars 5% more money. So the average home in our area that's an extra $15,000 right in their pocket. That's what we just did for the O'Brien family were able to get them $40,000 over their list price by strategically marketing their home toe are ready buyers and waiting database prior to officially listening the home for sale this way we were able to identify the most interested buyers essentially brought all the buyers together. The first week we were able to identify the buyer willing to pay the most amount of money but also presented the best terms to our clients. And a and they were static to say the least. I can't imagine, frankly, being a real estate agent having your degree of success without a system I can't see competing against you, for example. Hey, I agree, Bruce and And this is what we do every day for our clients. In today's market, you need to have a proven ineffective system to make sure you're getting every dollar that you need and expect and have the terms that are going to be most favorable to you. Very good. Vinnie. Number to call for 10 793 16 16 Vinny. Thanks. You have a great weekend 47 93 16 16 When.

I hope when I get to the counter share was there waiting on me? That's what I hope. Get some other celebrities are willing to help out to joining us once again. Our good friend Johnny Steele with ReMax Community, Vinnie's Maryland's realestate expert. Happy to have him back here on the program again. Good morning, Vinnie. Friday, Friday here the end of the work week, so I got a question for you. So we're here you say all the time. How quickly you so Holmes compared to other real estate agents out there, But are those just the lower price homes? I would think the larger homes take much much longer to sell because they're more expensive, right? Yeah, That's a really good question. People will think that I'm in a state home or home in higher price category. Let's say over $800,000. Some people think they may require some something additional, and therefore the process maybe more labor intensive, or just take longer to find that perfect buyer. And I would say what? While there are left fires as you climbed the pricing ladder, they're still buyers looking for homes in those categories. The trick is to know where they are and target market your homes of those that are ready to pull the trigger now. Oh, Vinnie. I would think that a buyer looking at a home at a million bucks or more is going to be pretty selective and I want to take their time. Yeah, and that that can't be the case, Bruce, but they also have the ability to recognize the perfect home comes along, and they want to jump on it before another buyer jumps on it, and with our database of buyers were able to select the best, most motivated buyers in the market place. And market your home directly to them, so there's no waste of time bringing buyers through that are just going to sit around on the decision making process. Our systems were set up to identify only the best most qualified buyers in for our clients in picking the best fire really give someone looking to sell a real advantage. I would think of today's hectic market. Oh, absolutely, Shawn, and it really does just just like we did for the getters up spark. They were in a higher price category we identified a group of interested buyer were able to get several them to raise their hand within about a week. And we're able to really select the best fire that met our client's time frame, which was really tight. They also paid 100% of our cellars asking price, No haggling. No crazy repair request. Just a smooth on time closing, and that was the primary objective from Day one in order to settle before the start of the new school year. So for those that are interested in selling quickly, right now, we're selling our client's home three times faster than the average age in our marketplace. That's amazing. What seems like you stay very focused on what's important to your client. Yeah, absolutely. Brutes are systems are set ups use to figure out what's most important to the client. And then everybody on our team rallies around that objective with the sole purpose of health helping the client achieve their goals. It's one of the reasons why we have So many what We call our reason, Sands and so much of our business with past clients and referrals. Thank you very much for being with us. Our call efficiency today for 10 793 16 16 again. That's for 10 793 16 16 Vinny have a one of a weekend. Thanks, man. I appreciate that. "And it was really really moving ahead folks who wanted to produce it. I couldn't I can utilize every night you revisited putting your down. Okay. Let me tell you this. Well, I'll tell you we've got to wrap this up, but Johnny steel his one person show. I do hope you visit because I go to places in my show that we're really vulnerable daughter for garbage, man. And I wish I had seen her show. I didn't know I and I heard it was terrific. You find a way to still hold onto the motion. The emotion have a bit of a protective wall between you, and I hope you because you have a Utah heart you love dogs and people need to connect and release from all this crazy political stuff. So I hope you'll consider it, you know, at least visited revisited, and then maybe an audio form. But because it was great. But I'd have to talk to you. 'cause I would be in therapy. Every night. I kept thinking, oh and forty minutes. I'm going to talk about fleeing down in twenty minutes. And I got there was extreme two-thirty a former look, you know, stick ball player guy. I was sobbing bringing my collar in my hand was just. You can't that way. But maybe you do need some therapy to get some healthy mine wrap with that. Because I think it's really important, but you don't have to I'm pushing it. But look, I know I get up there and do a scene when I was, you know, sick when I was a teenager. And I'm like, I can't believe I got to go do this now and over time I'm able to go there and be okay. But it's still really vulnerable. Hey, I adore you. I think you have a Utah. And I hope he keeps showing it to people. Thank you very much for having me on and continued success with your radio, your stand up paying your solo show and all the best to your beautiful bride. "I didn't know until recently about Loma vista farms. And unfortunately, the way I've learned about them is in February two dogs got under a fence and killed three alpacas and seriously injured, goats and sheep. I mean, so gum fund me campaign has raised about twenty thousand dollars. And it's helped by three new alpacas that will be welcomed very soon and this big fundraiser on April first at the empress theatre as I said, it's Murph and music for Loma vista farm. It's going to help pay huge bells. Extensive ongoing veterinary visits. New security system and fencing it's going to be comics musicians. And I want you folks to support it one of the performers air that night a favorite here on Katyal, and I will say worldwide. Yes, he is a comic, and he is a self proclaimed loud mouth commentator, our friend, Johnny still Hello Johnny Murray. Maureen. Daughter trae right there. Thank you. You're so gifted you're the an actress. Well, so the gifts are there. Guitar and the phone at the same time. I would have before you next time. When I when I see how'd you really loved me. You would have done this earlier in the day. Composed something beautiful and then presented it to on air tonight feel so badly. Now, I'm gonna go down the hallway your. I can only it with one hand. I can't figure out how you doing. Yes. What what you know? What are you know? It's a great thing that so many people coming together when I pitched this idea. I have a small room. There's a beautiful theater, and luckily Vallejo, and there's next to it that they're using. It was just a bar. They're doing like little shows. Let's do a show Monday night. We'll only draw fifty people have a raffle as a few grants and. Overflowed that thing and we're going to be moving into the big four hundred street theater. A couple of like four times what I thought we would do already, you know, ten days relations. It's Monday night. How cool. Traffic is horrible and people like I want to come see you. But I can't get their people said screw it. It's a good college. It's a good show, and we're gonna get out there, and literally four times more tickets are sold already than I thought we would've earned the big room, and hopefully will sell a hundred more helps these folks fix up their critters back in order. From an old movie. Holly j John Steele vodka just see my way through this. I know what could happen. Come together. And we're gonna kick the tractor. Soil. The people. We're going to buy you some new set of teeth. All right here, we go. It was a rich. Right. Listen this Murtha music night. It's a benefit for the Loma vista farm. And for those just tuning in just give us a recap of what happened there in February. Yeah. I not because this, but I think these two dogs. Huskies picked or you know, it's always the husky malamute. Alan me. And I think they have been a little trouble before. And you know, I happen to be at the form one day. And I'll tell you what the vet said in a minute, but they got under the fence out of their house. Somehow, they ran the blockade sort of in a residential neighborhood schools side, and then residential somehow these out and they ran over there. And you know, they should be better controlled. But it is major. You know, the dog like this symbols like that mill like, hey, let's go. So it was a terrible thing. And they got an early did a lot of severe damage killed a couple of critters, and it's just a wonderful little place. And boy, I saw a couple of injured animals that are still recovering. They lost a couple. So you know, that tells you like you got a cat or a dog, right Jesus. I'm a dog person. It's a lot. Well, you know what I understand? It's a husky malamute. They were both aggressive, and it was the second time they gone under the fence they killed three. I'll packers. And I understand that the most seriously entered a goat named DVD and a sheep named lucky. They're doing well, they're expect to fully recover. But the dogs did dogs do which is tunnel under the fence. So part of this fundraising campaign has to get better security better fencing, and what have you, and of course, pay the vet bills. But you know, you're a dog person. I'm a dog person. We we know that I don't know why these dogs were off leash. I don't know what the family was thinking. But these dogs have been euthanized. And I don't know how I feel about that. Because I don't it's very mixed feelings because I hate that the animals were killed, and I hate that these animals were killed and I'm angry at the family who didn't keep them contained. So there is that but they had to pay the price for that. The whole thing is sad all around. What is really really encouraging is how much the community. Is supporting them and the money being raised and the awareness that there's this great Loma vista farms open to people in Vallejo and for forty five years. So a lot of people are getting to know what the good work that Loma vista forms does. So that's cool. Yeah. It's a cool place. I mean believe it or not when I was there to have a pond on the and believe it or not. Animals, ducks geese migrating across you know, stop there. Stay layover vacation for a day or two. So it's like even animals that are flying by go as cool places hanging there for a couple of. That was a racehorse. It said L run around the track all day it had no interest in doing it. And so I think one of the local horse tracks used it as a green horse for people living in its retired up there. There's a little pony just a great place. So yeah. More awareness about this going to happen from this more people are going to what a former employer. So. So. You can bring your school kids. You can bring a set up a tour. They do all sorts of things are ton of cows James cows talked to two thousand pounds. Annals standard. Ahead. Wonderful little thing in in an urban oasis. In the middle of this urban environments is all this, so lovely. I agree with you about the dog. Just it's a Q a lose lose situation. The animals got killed. Terrible on all fronts. But in the end, this is a great thing today spokesman, and it's five acres. It's an outdoor classroom. I love hearing that they teach the kids about the animals nature and nutrition. I wanna give a shout out to our friend, rich Freedman. He is such a great guy. He's a journalist a writer with the times herald of allay how and he's the one who brought this to my attention, and he's such so community oriented. So I'm glad that this is happening. But now Johnny Steele loud mouth commentators aspirin conic these days here on April, first, mirth and music. Tell us about the night tell us about the event and how people can get tickets go. Yeah. Well, a question. I have all the information. If you don't have prepared. This is wonderful. I just came in the recording studio all day working on the let me tell you who's on the show, you're on the show. You know, if you don't know, we'll probably one of the United States premier longtime social political satirists. You gotta come see. Well, especially in these Trump days also named Joe closer. Who is? Four years. Bona fide headliner acts, don't get me wrong. I said why they tried to get a woman tried to get somebody else. But this is who is all available. Truth be told they rich asked me, and that was very nice. But I will be out of town. You have to say that nowadays people always say those are good Joe. That the people of color. But I'm so, but it's a great show. And then there's a band after Amedure old guys in the band. I don't know if there's Gallivan there might be who played with your big, folks. They've played with the Doobie brothers or somebody else that or and they're all just coming together. Because the musicians do that a lot. They just say hey got Monday. I'll put a band together and play college a short break, and then do that. And then the fine folks have a Little Rock, which you may know is huge music festival. Takes place. Up in Napa. Let's shoot three day music festival. They have donated a pair of tickets to the night that Neil young headlines. And that will be raffled off and other things are being deleted. And. Yeah, switcher treat me. Can you say is this guy? You know? It was joke. If he even loses money, he's not doing it for the money is Mr. Vallejo, and he's a journalist, but even make fun of his company should be called break-even productions if you're looking. He's a really decent guy love comedy. And he loves he loves. And he loves Vallejo and bringing people to lay. Oh, so he really ashamed his time and effort and probably often money into making this happen. Two. I the idea and he said he just took the ball around. I just said, you know, we should do like college. I know he's making phone calls the room tonight. So. People some sorry, John. Yes. And a big shadow to retrieve men of the times herald, here's the deal. I want to give people some information because it's April first a Monday night come on chill night. Go on out. It is at seven thirty at the empress theatre, and you can get tickets by going to empress theatre dot ORG. They're only twenty bucks in advance and twenty-five at the door. And if you want to learn more about them, go to Loma vista farm dot org. And God bless these vets they jumped right in and did whatever it took to care for these animals that were attacked by the two dogs, the husky and the malamute, and they are just great people. I love that. Now, Johnny I could ask you something you're going to be on the show Durst and Joe close sick. But before I say goodbye to tell me how to things how can people follow you? Janis steel dot com. But you know, it's all about the Facebook nowadays. I mean, people do visit the website at J O H N N Y S T L, E dot com. But you go to find me on Facebook come there as well. Like you. I take the phone rings. They say will you come out to our chuckle hut, and you go, and so I'm from Carmel to to Mendocino I like you don't travel oil quite as much as I used to. I the wife and the dog in the house, and you you go you tend to go last, but I am all over northern California from here until so. Oh, I'm a loon. I'll go anywhere if Japan calls, I go, I love going everywhere. But I will tell you this Johnny still if you have not seen him, and I don't know how you can live in the bay area not have seen him. He is a dynamo off the charts hysterically funny and a gentleman, you know, what you had a solo show that I learned about too late. Tell me what that was the name of it. And you must bring it back to the stage. Was that good? Was that the one you're talking about? Yeah. Friedman told me it was great. I don't know you tell me about your dog. Always the, you know, the thing you have a calling you calling about your dad, and your all that with your fellow show a solo sort of stand up, but it's really almost like a memoir things that you're passionate about what they're talking about every night in eliminating in share with people. I didn't really have it and dog. To my dog died. And of course, this this these things. And so it was about two months after the phone rang when night. And I said, hey, you know, they are too much for now. That's a small theater the Hilton theatre in San Francisco, somebody canceled on their small, really. And they're looking anybody anybody who wants to take it last? So my watch. She's a talk about your dog. So let's write it. I won't ball you with any more details. I really didn't have their tightly scripted. I just knew all the stories one of the talk growing up with dogs been Joe wanted to tell subtle on to talk about and it was great. And I tell you what you you didn't tell me the name of it. What's the name of it? Juju? So it was called good juju. And the problem was every night at the end of the show. I revisit when I put my dog down. And it was I couldn't get toilet every night getting true. It's, but the thing is it really touched and every night, he knows you're lucky to get a standing ovation that you're lucky curtain call Winston again every night curtain calls standing ovations and leave until I started talking to him in one guy shuts dog was just diagnosed with cancer only a couple of months ago, we lost our last month senior stand up for years, but we wanted to see more usual goal or billion showed passion that you don't often sherline stage,.
