There have been three power play chances in the game so far, but it remains 00 and prices look really Sharp and steady. I'm not sure that the lighting had tremendous scoring chances of their 11 shots. But price has taken care of the ones that have come his way. I agree with that, Um On the other hand, the lightning they're passing up good opportunities by trying to pass again. Very good chance right in the slot. "Operates where it's going to be. He interception on the boards throws it quickly to the from the net to pull out the winger on the on the other side. Deflects it and carry price has to make a safe. It's almost like a set play, isn't it, Joe? You give up possession of the puck full. Well, knowing you're going to get it back. That line looks like everything they do is set. A soft wind in the offensive zone. McDonald's for the Lightning throws it purposely off the end boards, and it's collected by Yanni Gord Changing direction. He's able to get it back to turn back from the right point. Got a quick shot away that missed the net. McDonough keeps it on the left boards. Or keeps it moving along to the corner. Gaudreau again right point turn AC and he was handcuffed by that, but he did recover to keep it in the zone as he retreats back defensively, 15 15 to go in a scoreless first period. Johnny Gord tees one up. As he comes across the line on left wing that missed everything comes around and out to Senate. Suzuki couldn't reach it. And neither could Anderson. So Gord has it again for Tampa Bay Lightning of scored first in all but four of their playoff games the entire postseason. Cold Caufield handles from Montreal back in his own zone, and Romanoff getting in for the first time since the Vegas series moves it ahead. Suzuki whips it around and in changes for the Canadians, as John Rueda lifts it back for Tampa Bay. The Senate Colton got it as far as the blue line, But Edmondson took Cirelli out, picked up by Petry up right wing. He's got fired into the Tampa Bay zone goes to the backhand tries to center went off escape. Behind its intended target headman by Stamkos a little too far for Sara Lee, and he's bumped by Edmundson. As he gets it into the Montreal zone. Possession goes back to the heads. Byron reverses it. And now full control for the blue Blanket. Rouge was just a great start for Tampa Bay shot six. Nothing Tampa Bay. They've done everything well, they're moving the puck quickly. There's own. They're getting pressure on Carey Price, forcing him to make some big saves. Only thing they haven't done yet is score. Harry can't get a pass up the right side from Weber, who is now forced to throw it through the middle and back into the lightning zone. David Savard dusts it off and gives it to surrogate Kev Pass across the neutral zone alludes Pat Maroon Kulak back to get it quickly from Montreal moves it ahead off the stick of stall it back in the head zone and maroon lifted the stick of his former teammate Corey Perry and kept the puck in. He fluttered it to the corner stall. Just nudges it along. Trying to come over and help is Weber backhands it up the boards but not pass for Didn't 0.50 year man out of Moose jaw on the Western League point, wins it around the boards and now gets it back from Hedman out of the left corner point. The right hand shot all the way to the blue line, hooks it back, intercepted by Kulak in the left circle. He's pestered Go by Andre Palat now just puts it behind the net for Weber, and he ran right into Kucherov pounced in front. And now Rueda has it at the right point. Puts it behind the net. Kulak moves it away, and, uh, cabs do well just clear as it's hoisted to center by Corey Perry brought back in by pellet. He has cultural nudges it ahead for him. He tries to hook it back to him as he went behind. That plot feeds the right point, but it's intercepted on the wall by stall picked up by Sharon. He comes late into the rush across the line on right wing throws it to the net couldn't get a redirect from Gallagher was driving the center left. Kuchar off feathers it across the.

"On the call. The Lightning's defenseman had a big nights offensively, Eric turn back and David Savard had key assists that led to lightning goals. Victor Hedman had a goal in this game as well. It's an underrated part of the Lightning's game. The team has defended very well in these playoffs, but they also can contribute offensively when called upon. Speaking of contributing offensively, This girl from Tyler Johnson gave the Lightning a 41 lead. Savard after Joseph two on one across the blood, Joseph shooting Johnson. Alright, Tyler Collagen, the rebound. Hear him right tube he put in a backhander. It's four. What lining Nice job. By Matthew Joseph getting the shot on Nets and Tyler Johnson doing the rest. He would add another goal to make it five to in the third period and he went back to playing center in that game. That's a big deal. He's more comfortable in that position, even if it means being on the fourth line and not playing as many minutes. He's been a big playoff performer throughout his career, and in Game three against Montreal. He delivered. Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 32 of 35 shots, The post his fourth straight win and fifth in his last six starts. He's now 15 and six this postseason. And you've got to stay focused in a situation like the one The Lightning are in tonight. Steven Stamkos believes that will happen in Game four. Yeah, it's usually the teams that you know throughout a run can kind of get rid of those distractions and the teams that aren't looking beyond the next game. I think for us, we've been in this position before we understand the magnitude of the game, and we understand that we really are as much as it's cliche to say we're focused on on the start of next game. And all those other things work themselves out. You never know what's going to happen in the course of a game or a series, so we're focused on our start next game. We want to come out extremely hard, and we realize you know, both teams understand the situation that they're in. So we're excited for the challenge, and all those things will take care of itself. Obviously, a couple wrinkles with you know the situation that we're in here in Canada and then the storm back home. We want to make sure everyone safe but at the same time This group is focused on on the game. As they should be. And that's been one of the real strengths of this lightning team over the last couple of years. Johnny Gord isn't trying to think about anything else. Except the task at hand. Got to stay in the present. Stay in the moment. Don't look too far ahead focused on today. Tomorrow, we can focus on tomorrow. And when you play your first shift, just focus on the first shift. Tried to win your shift. Don't look too far ahead. Don't be too high. Don't be too low. Just stay in the middle. Stay in the middle. Yanni. Gord has been very productive on that third line. Will look to have a big game tonight as well. Now this lightning team has overcome some obstacles over the last two years, and it's not been easy for them. Pat Maroon believes this team being close has allowed them to have a ton of success. I just think how we come together as a team, and you know, we all want the same goal. We all play for each other. We played for the guy beside each other, and, for example. Some savvy. Sit next to me. You know what we trade for guys even like Coleman a goody last year Bogo.

Is there a mystique because in the last round the Vegas Golden Knights came in here. Marc Andre Fleury had a hard time as he has throughout most of his career here, Jonathan Marcia, so did not play well. Couple of bottom six forwards in William Carrier and Nicholas. We played pretty well. Tampa Bay's got some strong Quebec connections here. I guess this could do you If you're excited to play here. It could carry some weight as well, I think and I'm going to just go from my own experience. I think I think I'm going to play well here. I think I think this is something special to be here for them to play. The connection is strong. Matthew Joseph, who will play again tonight for Tampa Bay comes from just north of here in La Baule. Also Johnny Gord. David Savard. "To win the Stanley Cup final, with Tampa Bay hosting Montreal again before games three and four will shift to Canada, where the home team is expected to get their interim head coach Dominic Ducharme, back from his covid protocol. Meanwhile, goalie Carey Price and the Canadians looking to rebound from that 51 loss in the series opener. That, of course, was much closer than that. It was only 2 to 1 after two periods. Just, uh, sort of perfect, though, for the lightning or now, 27. Oh this entire season when leading after two periods and the contrast in styles between the lightning in Canadians really showed up while also highlighting the importance of Montreal getting off to a better start, including hopefully scoring first. They are better when working with the lead, while Tampa now 13 and two when they've scored the first goal during these playoffs, and we can't stress enough how Montreal simply needs to manage the park much much better than they did in Game one. They were caught running around after a few key turnovers, but absolutely give the lightning credit for capitalizing on those mistakes. Through quick transitions, along with a few fortunate bounces. Tampa was led by Vezina Trophy finalist Andrei Vasilevskiy is 18 saves in goal. The Kitakyushu across two goals and one assist, while Brayden point helped out with three helpers, and the bolts blocked 15 shots compared to just five for the haves But one step that should ease any panic for Canadians fans is that Montreal has lost Game one in five straight cup finals, and they want it all in three of the other four. So It's far from the end of the world. But a split in Tampa would certainly bolster their cause to make this a long series. And Phillip Danault says they've already proven to be a resilient group. Uh, yeah, I mean, we've done in a couple of time. Uh, I don't know When we get back together, The wall seems like we're better and Also the first game. We always kind of looking. So, uh, we want to step up. It won't be better, uh, as a team, and we noticed second is gonna be you trust but the halves of also to figure out vessel SQ is now 13 and six in these playoffs for the Lightning 1 94 goals against 9 36 8% with four shut outs and three of those Came in series Clinchers and Montreal's Josh Anderson says part of the problem is just getting bodies in front of a C. Yeah, um, you know, obviously they got some big defenseman back there, and, um it's not easy to get into the front and yet, but we got to make it hard on them. I'm in some sort of way. But, you know, I thought to, um, turnovers on our parts, You know, just increase their offense and you know they had a lot more confident. When we give them those opportunities, And then there's that Kucherov character who's now total 30 points in back to back postseason, matched only by guys named Gretzky and Lemieux, which impresses even his coach, Jon Cooper, That is it. That's a heavyweight. Two names. There's no doubt about that. What's even more impressive about it is the era. He's doing it in and we talk about it. You know, the high flying eighties and the scoring and everything went on and It's remarkable in today's day and age, when gold scoring and core getting points is at such a premium, and he's been able to do that. Not once. But you know, two in a row, and I think his Points per game in playoffs, period. Even going back to 2015 is is up there with all the other big boys and, uh, it's one thing to do at once, but if you can do it over Multiple playoffs. It says something special about you and your talents and to be able to perform at the biggest moments and, uh, that's I think what separates the good from the great is the guys that can do in the big moments and and he is certainly one of them. And with his two goals and an assist in the opener, I guess Kuchar auvs ribs weren't barbecued quite as badly as it looked in Game six of the semis against the aisles or he's doing a heck of a job protecting himself. From any unnecessary hits, although he did take a slash to the leg by Shea Weber two nights ago, which cost the Montreal captain $5000 fine. Hurt or not, cooch has certainly caught the eye of Hap Center Nick Suzuki. He can do it all offensively. Um, you can make plays, Shoot the puck rail. Well, um and he's a competitive guy. So He really brings it all and had a good game. We really have to do a good job against him, especially if they're trying to line mash against my line there. Yeah, And how about the Lightning third line of Gord Gaudreau and Coleman with a goal to assist in 19 hits, including 11 of them by Blake Coleman. Just a line that was as impactful as any all night long and Johnny Gord said It was even more special doing it in front of over 16. How in the house? Yeah, it was great are building our fans are phenomenal. I think, uh, from the moment we stepped on the ice, and now the last minute where everyone was standing in, Um I think our family were phenomenal. Then give us momentum. Give a swing. Uh, we're flying because of them, And I think, uh, it might makes the game so much more fun having a fence in the building compared to last year in the bubble and one issue tonight for the Lightning. Alex Killorn, who will miss this game after taking a shot to the ankle late in Game one. He's a big part of the second line. And the power play with his presence in front of the Net Lord with eight goals, nine assists, eight power play points and an average ice time of 17.5 minutes in 19 playoff games, So yes, he will be missed. Harry Price certainly gave his team a chance to win stopping 22 shots for Montreal in Game one, but it was far from enough, despite a few classic price is right stops. Just over eight minutes to go in the second speed off the wing for Tyler Johnson, a great save with the right pad By Carey Price, He went back hand and price splashed the right leg..

Uh, I don't know when we go back again. The the wall seems like we're better. Also the first game while we're kind of looking, so, uh, we want to step up. There won't be better as a team and we noticed. Secondly, it's gonna be you trust but the halves of also to figure out vessel SQ is now 13 and six in these playoffs for the Lightning 1 94 goals against 9 36 8% with four shut outs and three of those Came in series Clinchers and Montreal's Josh Anderson says part of the problem is just getting bodies in front of a C. Yeah, um, you know, obviously they got some big defenseman back there, and, um it's not easy to get into the front of that, but we got to make it hard on them. I'm in some sort of way. But, you know, I thought two turnovers on our parts, You know, just increase their offense and you know they had a lot more confidence. When we give them those opportunities, And then there's that Kucherov character who is now total 30 points in back to back postseason, matched only by guys named Gretzky and Lemieux, which impresses even his coach Jon Cooper, That is a It's a heavyweight, two names. There's no doubt about that. What's even more impressive about it as the era he's doing it in and we talk about it. You know, the high flying eighties and the scoring and everything went on and it's remarkable in today's day and age, when gold scoring and hard getting points is at such a premium, and he's been able to do that. Not once. But you know, two in a row, and I think his, you know, points per game in playoffs, period. Even going back to 2015 is up there with all the all the big boys and, uh, It's one thing to do once, but if you can do it over multiple playoffs, it says something special about you and your talents and to be able to perform at the biggest moments and That's I think what separates the good from the great is the guys that can do in the big moments and he is certainly one of them. And with his two goals and an assist in the opener, I guess Coach Ross Ribs weren't barbecued quite as badly as it looked in Game six of the semis against the aisles or he's doing a heck of a job protecting himself from any unnecessary hits. Although he did take a slash to the leg by Shea Weber two nights ago, which cost the Montreal captain $5000 fine. Hurt or not, Cooch has certainly caught the eye of Hap Center Nick Suzuki. He can do it all offensively, you can make plays, shoot the puck real well, um, and he's a competitive guys. So, uh he really brings it all and Good game. We really have to do a good job against him, especially if they're trying to line match against my line there. Yeah, And how about the lightning third line of Gord Gaudreau and Coleman with a goal to assist in 19 hits, including 11 of them by Blake Coleman. Just a lion that was as impactful as any all night long and Johnny Gord said It was even more special doing it in front of over 16. How in the house? Yeah, it was great are building our friends are phenomenal, I think, uh, from the moment We stepped on the ice and, uh, the last minute where everyone was standing in, Um, I think I found were phenomenal. Then give us momentum. Give us swing. Uh, we're flying because of them, And I think, uh, it might makes the game so much more fun having, uh, friends in the building compared to last year in the bubble and what issue tonight for the lightning. Alex Killorn, who will miss this game after taking a shot to the ankle late in Game one. He's a big part of the second line and the power play with his presence in front of the net. The Lord with eight goals, nine assists, eight power play points and an average ice time of 17.5 minutes in 19 playoff games, So yes, he will be missed. Harry Price certainly gave his team a chance to win stopping 22 shots for Montreal in Game one, but it was far from enough, despite a few classic price is right stops. Just over eight.

Excellent. Thank you, Brad. So let's go back to Maras is Canadian bacon. Okay? Number one. Going to give you a hand here on Porta John Cooper flushed the Islanders. I think that's how you Reference it but a porta John Cooper flushed. The Islanders are flushed. Whatever you said, I think was excellent. What was the reference there? It was Porter. John Cooper will look to flush the Canadians to win back to back stand washed The Canadians. Yeah, I like that. I like that one a lot. It gave me Gave me two references there. The Porta John and the flush. Number two I think your best line was actually Yanni. Gordie Howe. It's Johnny Gord. That's his name. Yes, Johnny Gore, Johnny Gordie Howe. It's a hockey pun. It's ridiculous, but it's still quick and punchy. I liked it a lot. Now. I think that you tried this with a couple of other things. You gave me a different Cooper references to Porter John Cooper hanging with Mr Cooper, Reference of the 19 nineties sitcom. You know, You're always going to get Good marks for me from old sitcom. So I will take that one. And I will put it in the win column. The loss column. I didn't like Barclay Center Boudreau. I didn't actually Didn't really like that. What are we going for? Their just that his first name is it? Barclay? It's Barkley. Gaudreau the pen. I often don't reference guys taking penalties. But again, the game is determined on a shorthanded goal. And to be fair, I didn't have pre written jokes. I'm writing the game script as I go. And I just saw an opportunity there. So I'm going to take a quick joke here to get us off to a start, and I'll see where the script takes me. But is he the center on the team or a center? And you know what he might be now that and now they think about it. I don't remember what position Barkley plays but the Barclay Center. The Islanders used to play there, right. But okay, did you reference the Islanders used to play there? No, because then that would have become an elongated one that you would have crushed. So it was equipment punch. If there's a nickname, there's got to be something about that. That you right into his nickname. Can't be bark, lace centered truck. If you look, this will be one. I'm with you. I'm not going to defend. This is a great pun. I am going to tell you I tried to get a cheapie early. I try to get a cheap run early to get us often flying. As I wrote the Scriptures of the difference. And now my writing compared to the previous Canadian bacon. Maybe there's a way to do. Barclay Center Gaudreau. Brooklyn Bridges the gap between the 1st and 2nd period or something like that. You've got a reference that its bark lace there at the Barclays Center because they don't This guy is down on the lightning or the Islanders. He's on the lightning. He took the penalty. Yeah, so he can't be Barclay Center Unless there's a Just got to be something else there. And then I'm on the fence. If Boggs was here and ask him how he feels about visa left ski left. I mean, I see what you're doing there. And this works, I think because you said he lifted The team right? That's U visa left Ski lifted the team. Yeah, with his teams with another shutout, So that's a good one. So that's a good one. I think that works out. I think I would even like it even more. If you had like a ski reference after that, like Vessel of ski lifts So is it the lightning or the Islanders? What do you know who won the game? Obviously, he didn't like the enlightening the Islanders. He lifted the lightning. They won the game. So vessel left ski lifts the lightning. To the Stanley Cup final, where they'll slalom against the Canadians or something like that. I think you can't do that. What shit? Sure that because when I gave you elongated ones, you guys took me took too long to get there. It was to elaborate. Run on sentence. You've got to be quick and punchy. Now quick and punchy and you're looking for me to elongate sentences. You're going to make my brain mashed potatoes. But if you're going to reference some of these things Like their puns, or like they're no, They're nicknames. Don't they have to lead to a reason why they're like Vasilevskiy has nothing to do with winter sports well with With skiing, so there has to be it's kind of like I was doing that for two months I was doing that I was getting killed for doing it. The grass isn't always greener, I guess, huh? I'm giving you credit for Vasilevskiy left you are but with this is where I'm getting irritated. I almost want to go back and pull the tapes..

"I'll take it or leave it. The Yanni gored. It was a song by Johnny Gord. Is that a play off of a Yanni? The musician? Yes. So if you remember Janni Gore was a hero. Last Canadian bacon. I played a lot of picking Goard's like pumpkins, and I went with the Yanni angle this time instead of a goal. He struck first with a song from Yanni gored. It was fine. The Brayden point of no return. That's fine. Okay, That was a Bob the deli man line last night. He told me to use always letting them work it in. Okay? I appreciate that. I like Bob getting into your ghost writing. Tree named Vessel Esky fell in the arena. Well, that's a hat tip to yesterday's if a tree falls in it, but a tree named vessel Esky. What does that mean? Well, it doesn't make a noise. It doesn't mean anything other than playing off of what happened yesterday. And really, the Coliseum was rocking Yana fans were doing they were silenced. If a tree falls in the forest doesn't make a noise. The tree fell in silence them. It's not supposed to make literal sense. It was a hat tip to yesterday, A tree named Andre Vessel Levski fell in the arena and quiet in the building. Yes, Vasilevskiy stopped all eight aisles, third period shots. But the references if a tree falls, and no one's around to hear it, does it make a sound? In this case, a tree was named after a hockey player and fell and that silence theory in a so a falling trees silenced everybody. Have to be honest at 5:10 A.m. eastern, that seemed to make a little more sense and got me a little more excited that now that you reiterate that a couple hours later, I will agree with you if I could go back and rewrite something. I should have gone with another Andre, the giant pun or something like that. Does it make a noise? What do you think about this overall performance? This one was just this was okay. This sounded like I don't feel well, It's Friday morning. There was only one game last night. Let me throw in one good one and hanging, Mr Cooper and Well, Hey. Oh, Bob gave me a point of no return. "Time of the year. It's like Christmas part to see NHL playoffs pre Christmas on what better way? Gonna talk about the NHL playoffs, But someone who was a three time Stanley Cup winner as a player has spent 30 years in and on TV and broadcasting, lightning color and his Brian England welcome The micro radio Show one of 2.5 the bone. How we doing, guys? How are we doing? How are you doing? I'm doing great. I'm looking forward to this serious, terrific. All of them are going to be, um after a sleep in, that's just knocked the heck out of everybody in the entire world. I'm just glad that we're getting down to games that have so much emotion and we're getting fans back in its seats. That's terrific, Yes, fantastic. The lightning or going up to? I think I capacity of about 7000, which is still, uh 13,000 less than I'd like to see it haven't been there for some of those games, but it's better than the zero fans that were in the bubble last year. Esso. It's we're here back to defend it two in a row, and it starts off down at sunrise tomorrow of all places place not traditionally known for hosting playoff hockey. Yeah, I think you know, fans here in Florida. The die hard fans have been looking forward to this for a really long time. I know we have both organizations have. I think it's great for the state is great for all the fans, and I think it'll bring us some new fans or borderline fans and commit them on and see how much energy and fun there is. I think that it'll add a lot to future seasons here in Florida, and that's why I hope like you guys that we get back up to at least close to capacity. You know as things move on in the playoffs, and you get down the later rounds. Having having seen a lighting this year and dealing with some of the adversity. You know. Last year we were spoiled in Washington team do so well in the postseason, win the cup, I'll be it. We couldn't be there. But you know, we were virtually high fiving everybody, you know whether it be on social media. Whatever parties people snuck their way into So with having a game here in Tampa, what I think is what Thursday night. I think we're playing at home the first home game every other day Sunday. It was every other day, So I mean, it's great opportunity for that. And hopefully no. Hey, you know, I think if you start off on the road, you look for a split, and I mean that would be great to win both. If you get a split down there, I think you know that could put you a little bit more in the driver's seat. It was good to see coach on the ice and Stamkos, What are you hearing in that regard with those guys coming back? Well, they look like they're fine to go. Pooch is actually under the five month mark when he had the surgery, and it's been done several times mean, um Johnny, Gord and breaking point on the Lightning alone have had hip surgeries s O. They know, and they usually doctors usually say the recoveries five months he had at the end of December, so he's actually just under the the end of May. At five months to be complete. He has looked great. He's been skating for a while, you know, ramping it up. No contact all that stuff lately. He's been in the full drills. It's great. I don't have any qualms about worrying about coach and all these guys are fantastic out and could coach Ross not your average guy would not shock me. That coach gets two or three points in the first game and for stammer. He's been out longer. That one kind of surprised me. I don't know what his issue is. It's lower body. Hopefully he stays for his sake and for the teams, But last year having played only, you know a couple of shifts and scoring that big gold eat. This is the time of year he waits for, so I really hope he's fine. Everybody has said, and it looks like he's ready to go. I watch him in practice. There's no limping. There's no sign of anything. I'm convinced that both of them are in what is speaking about the Florida Panthers. Now, the You know, they don't get a lot of TV time from the national network. So you don't see him a lot on SportsCenter or on hockey, you know, on NHL network, tell us about the Panthers and what they have to know this. I know they're a young and exciting team as much as I want to hate them. You gotta appreciate the effort that that organization Has put into rebranding it and rebuilding it. Yes, that's very true. Bill Zito just took over at the beginning of this season became from Columbus. He was assistant G. M. He's not a hell of a job. They are a very good team Joke. Anvil second year there behind the bench, three time Stanley Cup winner as assistant coach and twice as a as a head coach. So he is in experience. Guy may are built almost exactly the same upfront as the lightning are in my eyes. They maybe don't have that one extra real star player. But Barkov and Huberdeau are both just outstanding players. So if you if you match that off against point and Kucera's, then you say while we still have Stamkos, so that's what I mean. You still have one that one extra start. But what they did was they were similar and how the lightning developed they went into last year and with a lot of skill, even the year before, but not enough grit and not salted enough on defense. So they added, some gritty guys starting at the beginning of the year. Radko Buddhist on defense who could be running more familiar with him? Yeah, and write down the Sam Bennett out of the trade deadline from Calgary. He was a piece that I had on my short list when the Lightning last year picked up good growing Coleman, same kind of player and you see what those two did for the Lightning. Sam Bennett's been a hell of a condition for for Florida. They've got skill they can grind. They've got size, They can score on three lines, probably very much like the lightning. This is a tremendous matchup, but Broschi and Draeger are both solid goaltenders. But brass keys out to prove. Last year was an anomaly where he did not play well at all. And so he's got a history and he did beat the Lightning two years ago, you know, playing wrinkles. Yeah. So I mean, I'm in watching the Panthers and paying attention them over over the years. You know, Huberdeau, I think was a great pig Barkov like you mentioned, you know, I really like in which is about Bennett. He's a banker goes out there. He gets in the corners. He's just neon nasty out there. I do think it's going to be harder than expected. Serious. I know. I think it's fans. Sometimes. If you don't know the inner lines, you go like this should be easy, but it's not gonna be an easy ride for the bolts. No, not at all match ups. They're gonna matter. I think you're going to see a lot of tinkering. Old course of the Syrians by both coaches, and both are really good at it. Quinn Vel is a master at it. He's one cops. As I said, the second winningest coach of all time behind Scotty Bowman. And Cooper's one at every level that he's ever coached at..

"Radio analyst Kaylie Chelios. Thanks for hopping on Kaylie, How are you today? Thanks Burns E. I'm doing well. I'm excited for tonight's game. I think Saturday night was exciting. It was a little more Action as far as the fighting in the animosity that we talked about this morning, So I'm looking forward to seeing if there's any carry over because you know that makes the game just a little bit more fun. Yeah, Absolutely. So let's go ahead and just set that up While we're thinking about it. The Lightning continue the four game home stand tonight with the second of two games against the Nashville Predators. And then, after Detroit comes to town for games Wednesday and Friday at Amalie, Emily Arena than the Lightning hit the road for another back to back against Nashville to conclude a stretch of four games in 11 days. Against the Predators. Now in Saturday's game, we saw quite a bit of animosity like you, said Caylee. Between these two teams. They really don't have much of a history before this season, But on Saturday, we saw two fights. We saw a couple of 10 minute misconduct penalties, numerous scraps. After the whistle. 12 combine combined power plays 64 penalty minutes. Kalia. You surprised at just how much these teams didn't really seem to like each other. The first time they met old Saturday after having not much of a history prior to that. Yeah, I mean, for whatever reason, and I think Tyler Johnson said to these two teams always put up a good fight against each other. And from what I've watched in the last 54 years, five seasons now covering the team, it always seems to be a pretty interesting matchup. It's two really good teams competitive teams, but I think the way the game unfolded just kind of allowed itself to have that sort of animosity and within some of these players, and it was competitive. Funder watches a fan tough The watch of your John Cooper. Obviously, you don't want to be taking the amount of penalties that both teams did for Nashville. Obviously, they really shot themselves in the foot there. They ended up coming within one, which was pretty impressive, but The lightning the three penalties early in the first period. I think you know that, you know they're gonna want to clean up and stay a little bit more discipline in this game, but I think two in listening I was listening to sports radio or hockey central new this morning and I've been watching a few games and Um, you know, they made a comment. I think it was Brian Burke on Stew. Grimm's there, Stewie, I forgot what his last name is on there, But we're family now. A different studio difference doing? Um, you know, they mentioned the officiating around the league has been a little tight, and I thought that was the case for sure. You know, with the lightning in Nashville and a few of the games I've watched before. You know, some of the calls are pretty technical. I thought the first couple slashing calls were really, really tight because we could say it here. Yeah, they weren't the best. They were good calls. I definitely thought Stamkos is was really soft. Hardly impacted the play. If it's what I'm thinking of correctly, But S o. I think it was tough from the beginning. I think both teams were kind of adjusting and the Nashville I think you know their emotions got the best of them, and they did take some deserved penalties. But the officials called a tight They were consistent at least. And I think that kind of lended itself Tol Nashville getting pretty frustrated with the amount that they were taking at a certain point. And some of the players on that team. Obviously, we mentioned how big they play and, you know, they want to be a tough team to play against. Well, lightning. Now they have some sandpaper guys too. I loved Johnny Gord, you know, he looked like he was ready to fight five players. All five players on the ice at one point during the shift, where he ended up fighting Fabbro so Yeah. It was. It was exciting him and I don't know if I expect to carry over. I think some of it for sure, depending on how this game goes, but I also think we heard from Barclay this morning to burns and he made a point. That they'd like to be a little more disciplined going into this game. Yeah, you're mentioning some of the calls. I distinctly you know, here from the arena. We can here quite a bit now that there aren't any fans in the arena and it's it's.

Hot sand again. Vasilevskiy on specially cough two in a row. Yeah, Two of the 15 saves he made in that first period, Andrei Vasilevskiy. By far, Tampa Bay's best player, Carolina came out with speed pace. They were tenacious on the puck, and as a result really dictated play Now, if you're Carolina Disappointed that you weren't able to score. When you have those glorious scoring opportunities, and I think for the lightning and a Knopper to nitty to go into the locker room, regroup. And, you know, get that important for school and put Carolina back on their heels a bit play from behind. We'll see if that transpires for sure. Tampa Bay 1 65% of their face offs. Carolina 35% Carolina Oh, for one on the power play, but it was a dangerous one. Lot of glorious scoring opportunities. The lighting of Block five shots. Carolina with four when you take a look at some individual statistics for the Lightning at the forward position. You've got Alex Cole Lauren leading the way with ice time at 7 14. Stamkos has one shot on goal as this Johnny Gord, and then on the back end, Leading the way, of course, is Victor Hedman. He played eight minutes and 42 seconds. He had two shots on goal. And as we said before, sir really did leave for a time being in that first period, but did come back. He played five minutes and 14 seconds again. We told you about Volkoff getting an opportunity to play in this game on 1/4 line only played 2 45 did have a shot on goal, but Something we highlighted in the pregame with guys like Joseph and Volkoff getting an opportunity to play because of some injuries, and you want to see them take advantage of it. So far, Joseph has a couple of goals on the air played 4 23. In that first period, but they want to see a bit more production from that fourth line a little different this year than last year, for sure, with center pocket. Not on up and having been doubt but something that I think can be beneficial for the lightning with the assets they have in the skill sets that that fourth find possibly possesses, with some speed and for sure skill.
