"So it's like that type of thing. That was my like taking nerdy thing right there. But all that being said, yeah. And literally, I was on a call today with a nonprofit and I'm gonna try to help them stand up a sourcing recruiting program to train and their mission is to help people who are incarcerated, right? Get back on their feet. I was like, listen, this is a wonderful way. So many people are needing recruiting talent and it's such an easy industry to get into if you love people and you have great communication skills. And you just want to love it. This is the industry to do that. And I think another reason why there's no, there's not a lot of recruiting talent right now, like John O said as well. But I didn't know where to recruiter was. Yeah. No one talks about recruiting. Like, if I was in college, I would have been like, ah, peace out. I literally, I would have probably left college. If I knew recruiting was, I was like, I don't need college. Let's go recruit. I've learned shit, right? And so I think that's another reason why there's a shortage in recruiting talent. Plus one. It's just to double click on that real quick. You think about most engineers and not all, but most engineers, right? You can go and you can get a CS degree. You can even get an EE degree, whatever it is. And then you've developed this foundational knowledge of whatever your skill set is. Same case for marketing, same case for design work. But when it comes to recruiting, you just like you got to hope that you got a good teacher right or a good company that has a great time. I feel like I was so fortunate to join tech systems. They invested a lot in their training program and it was a full like manual that you're going through. It's like three months of onboarding, you fight. They flew us out to where were we at? We went to Kansas City for this week long term where we're with other people. It was best barbecue ever. Shout out to dude. I spoke at KC D.C. barbecue. I don't know how anybody gets anything done crazy. It's crazy. And then the mess up part about it is you have the itis afterwards, right? You want to take a nap as soon as you get it in. But anyway, going back to the training program, you fly out to Kansas City. There's a weeklong training program you're paired up with people from across the country who are the same tenure as you that are going through the same type of impostor syndrome and struggles and you can talk through it and you can role play. And then you come back and then it's like, okay, you know, you're out in the world. You can recruit now. So yeah, I think that's just a plus one. Taylor what you said, the reason for the slow entrance of new recruiters into the workforce. So like no understanding now from what you're all saying data and just general on the ground insights that you have, we know that the market is about to be won't say flooded. There'll be a lot of low quality recruitment out there, because I think it's easy to view it as a sales job. And to some degree it is, almost, especially if you're getting paid by the head, you're just like, it's a numbers game, just like any other sales job. We're going to get another flood of that low spray and pray email, dear candidate in certain names like we're hiring for whatever. Like what collectively as a tech industry. So not just on you all like, what can we do to avoid this coming catastrophe? We know it's coming. We can see it's coming. But how can we make this better and improve these relationships? And sorry, this is like not something we had to go ahead and have very strong thoughts. But I mean, I feel like honestly Taylor what you're doing with that nonprofit is one way to solve for that. To build out proper training programs that people can learn and understand the right fundamentals, the right way to build a network, the right way to go about recruiting and not this transactional process of like, hey, you need a job, I got a job great. You got a job. Now I got you, right? It can so easily get into that. And I think going back and I can't think the agency that I work for is a shout out to systems. I can't thank him enough because I think one thing that they instilled is recruiting it truly is like a networking relationship building. Job, where I would reach out. I was trained to reach out to people of like, hey, I know you have a job at just here's my point of contact. Here's my contact information. 6, 12 months, 9 months down the road. Whenever three years down the road, if you, your friend, your mom, your sibling, whatever it is, needs a job, think of me. And we would take people out to lunch just to get to know them and it was this really like really like strong relationship building process and it wasn't of course it was competitive. We had metrics, right? I saw my commission number every day, right? We had this poor that showed everybody's mission about wrong. But and it's right, and you feel that pressure, but how you get to those numbers, it was by building relationships. And I think, again, Taylor exactly what you're doing with that nonprofit. Hopefully that'll solve. That's a microsecond to it, but if we can do that on a scale, like that changes the game. With johnno said, absolutely. I think I'm a huge, huge believer in networking. I think it's so, so important. And sometimes it's that long haul. Like it doesn't pay off immediately, especially when you have that commission, staring you in the face, that's got to be tough. But I think it ends up paying off. You invest and it pays off. But I also want to say Taylor, I think what you are doing, just even the content that you're putting out there is so beneficial to everyone. Like I see it in for beneficial for engineers that or anyone applying for jobs like you talk about bulking up the resume, be thoughtful around that. But I think it just also demonstrates that networking effect and also just like, hey, I want to help others. You're building a community around it. And I think those are the types of things that are going to help anyone new to the industry. And engineers, but absolutely, we're talking about recruiters joining. They can look to that content and go, oh, I never thought of that or oh, that is worthwhile to pay off in network and things like that. So I think things like that even have ten X effect. They're so great. They help so many people. Yeah, well, thank you for that. My tagline is recruiter against recruiters for a reason. I understand that I'm a recruiter, but I'm against the traditional way of recruiting because it's so bad. And I think to answer this question until agencies can chill and like start allowing people to connect with people and view people as people instead of numbers, the industry won't change until that happens. And it's so difficult and you have to have founders and C suite that understand. Now, here's the deal, right? I think we're unicorn. Like we're a $1 billion. I think we were recently valued at a $1 billion, right? Like, you get to a certain point where you can't do that. And I understand that. However, you can still it's trickle down, right? From the top, you know, all the way down, I have been blessed with incredible amount of mentors. I've been blessed with an amazing management team that supports everything I'm doing..
Joe Piscopo Chats With Political Analyst and Podcaster Gianno Caldwell
"One of those great people is a gentleman by the name of gianno Caldwell, Fox News political analyst, and host of the new I heart radio podcast that everybody's listening to. It's called out loud with johnno Caldwell's young author. He's a great guy. Welcome to the show, my friend, so great to have you with us today. Man, this has been so long since I've been on this. This particular radio show, you know, Sebastian, we go way back. He said that. Way back. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He said he texted me, he said, wait, wait, Giotto tell giano I said, hey, you know? And Giotto, you know, full disclosure, Gianna's on my morning show this morning. And he said, I said, John, I want to jump on the air with us on this immortan Luther King day, and I appreciate it. John back from London, he is. He is the real powers. The real Austin Powers got a coworker. Zaggy baby. Yes, there you go. You know, haven't been in London since November. I can reaffirm what everyone already knows. There's no place like home America is truly the land of the free and we got to keep it as free as possible. And as Joe Biden is making that very, very difficult. For many people across the country, but thank God the Supreme Court got involved. I mean, too bad that Kavanaugh didn't have the backbone to say, no, we're going to no vaccine mandates on anyone. But here we are. Here we are. Yeah. And that's nice of you to say that because when you travel around, you know, my hero Frank Sinatra always said that. You know, he would always go around and he would say, he would go, you know, I always look forward and I always tell everybody, I'm from Hoboken, New Jersey baby. You come back to America, the greatest country of all is so

"The end of the season this whole thing though is what's interesting is everybody wants fi fangio fire and i get it. I do too. Everybody wants pat. Shurmur gone and i get it same way von miller. I agree with all that but with the new ownership situation and the way john elway has set things up over the last five years. Your hands are tied. I don't don't do the broncos do anything right now. does it make sense. I mean let's write it out the thing. Is they have the talent. Yeah the more are there. Which is what's really frustrating. Okay do they really need to rebuild anything. They've got the guys there. They've got good young players. Who just need to get healthy altogether. You know so if you've got that the finger definitely starts pointing to who's coming up with the game plan for these guys to execute the game play. The slow starts definitely fall right on the head coaches other. The slow start can be determined by head coach in in my opinion. If they're coming out flat like that you're obviously not doing something in the pregame warmups. You're not getting them going. In the locker room beforehand. That motivation from the head coach. Isn't there something. I picked up from the post game last night. And we're gonna play some of this back today Vic has a phrase that he likes to most head coaches say we and us. He says they when he talks about this team. We had them in the right spot but they didn't execute they didn't do. He's not taking any of that ownership. He doesn't see himself as a head coach. He eases coordinator. That's holding a clipboard. He's not a head coach. This was a terrible higher from the beginning when johnno a higher this guy at the age of sixty one that that doesn't bother me. It's the fact that i never been ahead code. Sixty one young but he'd never been a head coach before. There's a reason for if you're gonna do that. You go with the guy that's brand new into the system you missed out on kyle shanahan for joseph. You missed out on a lot of these young and up and coming coaches. And i don't even need them to be young and upcoming but give me a history of something you wanted of defensive-minded guy. Gary kubiak was an offensive minded guy..

"Flu kills every year. We don't shut businesses down for that. We haven't we never have ever. These people are out there struggling. I know what it is to save up. I know what it is to open up a business. I know what it is to have employees. You pay to have a mortgage or on top of that, Alicia, you pay equipment you pay for none of those bills go away. When Uncle Sam comes in or our governor comes in and says, Hey, you can no longer soup served food inside. You realize there's snow everywhere I'm looking at Who the hell's gonna be eaten outside right now? And then the tents. How ridiculous are these tents? If you can actually put a tent in the heater in a tent and close the damn tent? Why can't people eat inside and taken stays? 6 ft apart. I thought everybody was doing a good job. I promised Johnno come to you in a minute. And Randall. I will, too. We do have two lines open 3037138255. I want to finish up with one other thing. I looked everywhere. Where do people get Coronavirus in the U. S. I couldn't find anything that has any real numbers in it. But you know what I did find. I found a publication in Europe that talks just about Germany. You know where most people get coronavirus in Germany, And this goes all the way through October of this year. You know where most people and when I say most were talking over 8000 on any particular time. Private homes. You get it at home. You know where it is, after that elderly living in care facilities, old folks homes. Then after that hospitals and medical practices, then the workplace, then after that schools and day care, then after that sports and entertainment And then you know what's next with a very small minute number. Restaurants, bars and hotels. So for the life of me, why are we shutting these down? Now? That is Germany. That's not here in the great US, But I assume those numbers should transfer here but try to find some numbers on where people get it. Hear you can't find him. It's almost like they don't want to show these kind of numbers. That's what it appears to be, but they're the second to the bottom. The on Lee other place that people get less cases of covert in Germany is trump their public transportation. Other than that restaurants, bars and hotels are almost at the bottom. It's remarkable to me how strangest entire thing has got, and I hear people, including Martino. Get upset with this. Every day I finally crunched the numbers myself. And I swear to God these numbers here from the CDC, these air their numbers. Get that through your head. This is nowhere near what the flu kills every year. It's not even close. I was going to ask Jackson questions, but we're getting his mic up and we're getting some other stuff. Going. 3037138255. I'm going to take a break, John. I'm gonna come back to you right after this..

Do you think there's any chance we're approaching civil war again? I would hope not. I would actually pray none. I would think were this enough of a country that we would be there, But we have seen elements of infighting within our country talked about at the Cold and people losing their jobs and businesses have been shut down during a pandemic is but over 500,000 business failed. But then you saw the George Floyd tragedy and for what came from there, not just simple protest where people said Okay, this is This is wrong. Let's fight against injustice is and make our voices heard. But you saw people rioting and looting, destroying property, actually murdering people, hardly our police, which I continue until we support our police. This isn't America. But you wouldn't do it blown up hadn't? She. She's she's she's big. I mean, she so is that also August when is when is it's all part of music music week is from August twenty third to September two. Gotcha. So it takes you from the closing of the opera that last weekend of the opera right through Labor Day weekend. Includes as over celebrating the entertainment for job is yet to be announced. I've never seen them of you the yet to be announced. Yeah. They're around a lot. Okay. You hear about them a lot? But it's hard to see them having. Yeah. I picked up on that good. And then we we we're putting together the program that's going to be on the bandstand Brazil, be music. It looks like maybe the red Elvis's will be here on the Saturday. Okay. Which would be really kind of fun. They're doing a gigging in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jimmy Gilmore stop fireballs were here last year. Jimmy gilmer is going to be part of the bandstand. The regular bandstand, right? And then we're, of course, the platinum music awards are on the Friday Friday night. It's either Friday or Saturday night. I guess it is of the the very beginning of music week. Okay. And and we hope to some of the honorees, maybe we'll be able to use them on the bandstand a couple of times because I don't know if you've been to the platinum uses awards, but they do entertainment, but guess, but it's not the recipient entertain Joe west or. Yeah. Johnno Manson honoring one of the honorees, which is a lot of fun. The entertainment is terrific. But the idea maybe if the Anna REEs are in the music business, they they're performing. We could have them on the vans following it'd be yeah. So it'd be fun to try to do that try to incorporate that the Lee Burke word this year goes to Candyman strings and things with. Yeah. They're really excited, and we'll be doing the show. There on the thirty first Friday thirty first because they're also turning fifty years old. Oh, that's really cool of this thirty first what me of me. Oh, wow. Mayor will be there are secretary of department cultural fares will be there. David Schwartz from the plan to music ores. So we're gonna and we're working on a. Jeff bridges, really because he's he's a customer of theirs is the big time customers supporters of Candyman. Well, I invite me to be there to Jeff and his horse. Though Percy wrote in. Right. That's called him. What Apollo or something? I don't know. Anyway. Yeah. Anyway. So that's all right. So now, the really cool thing is you've gone from music week right now, you're going to be doing we're going to other weeks. This year will be introducing art week. We are we are weak is going to be July twelve to twenty one. So it starts the weekend of international folk, art market. We know that's going to be full. And then the following weekend is art Santa Fe, the annual art show that happens at the convention center. The ideas use those as the book ends of art week, and then on the interim we've got about sixty five events that have already been scheduled for the Sunday through Thursday events at galleries as I as I said to the galleries each event is not big enough to bring people in. But when you pile sixty of them together. It really is going to be an attraction. So the mission here is to get people who come for international folk art market to stay longer or if they're coming in for the art Santa Fe to come in earlier. And so that's going to be and and on Wednesday of that week. Which would I think be July seventeenth there'll be an art crawl on canyon road and an art and wine crawl and you'll be able to literally get a glass of wine and walk from gallery gallery. Like they did in the old days of dangerous. You could end up spending your entire kids. Inheritance with glass of wine and art in a glass of free wine. There you go. We're not even charging for the one. All right. If people want to be in it, if they're going to be me me me me. Can I get my gallery in it? Can they still, of course of contact you? Yes. And or the there's an art week website now that Santa fair week that they can go on and register an event as well. Okay. Still room still, oh, there's there's room until it's over. I mean, this is we want these weeks the this whole week series to you know, we already have film week we already have restaurant week. So now music week came in last year are week this year and next year. The intent can we now know that we sure can there's a nonprofit group that's putting together lit week which literature week, right? But they want to call it lit week. I guess in honor of Colorado, but it's lit week. Okay. We still get lit get lit. Okay. No. And so it'll be all about obviously book. We just sounds a little bit boring so lit week sounded a little more fun. And so it'll be but it'll be authors. Poets native storytellers it is a storytelling week. And that's and that'll be a little bit of shorter week. That'll be a Tuesday through the weekend. The last weekend of April in twenty twenty. Okay. And few towns of size of. Of Santa Fe with all the amenities that we have sport, the number of incredible authors, we have I mean, you know, you could start with George, but you know, Doug, Preston bazillion books. He south Hampton sides, you know, and growing every year and his popularity in the work. He's accumulating, you know, Michael mcgarity in the great authors. We don't even know about it will be absolutely all these great fiction on James McGrath. Moore's one of the best biography writers on the planet poetry. We're going to include in bookstores and booksellers and all that possibly as. Well, absolutely. All of the great addition. We think it's going to be a lot of fun. And then so then we'll have one two three four five specialty weeks at night, the whole concept of this is to build a week around each of the pillars that make Santa Fe. So fun really giant events. We have here like wine and your Spanish marketer Indian market or the opera as right, right? But each one of those head they're starting time. So I hope twenty years from now this series of weeks. We'll be as big as as the ones you just mentioned every one of those the opera was a startup at one time international folk art market was a startup, and it's only twelve years old. I think now it is it has been the the one that's on an absolute trajectory on a tear back rainy Randall. So she is coming next year. No, actually in August or name is Casey most graves, but it's already either sold out or darn close. And what gritty expensive few tickets that are left. If you've got a good cheap ticket Randy need one. They can't even afford to go to his own event..

"Today's tip is an excerpt. From the latest episode of the seal success stories podcast that also released today where I interviewed John Clegg Johnno is a former Olympian turns medical device sales rep and was just named the international rep of the year for twenty eighteen at right medical here. He is. So I think for me, I should this goes back to when I was a sports person. And I think this relates well to to work and everything about because this was a huge setback ends. I in twenty thirteen I ended up getting a really bad injury. Gays six seven years of never having an injury to I'm being really robust as an athlete, but in twenty fifteen food on cycling camp in the December initially it was just a few scrapes and cuts, but my soldiers on through the rest of the camp and everything can win over the Christmas break and came back for from Christmas and went straight off in another camp. But I could start to feel that something wasn't quite right. But we had already competitive group and the thing with that is the wanna miss out. And so I kept pushing myself a through the camp. But when we go hi, and we had some real assessments to do meant these were big Olympic tests assessments and making sure the strong for these Rudy matted, but ended up having to was was missed is tests because momma back win and this led to series scans that confirmed that had a tear my hip joint. This is actually very useful day life. Now that having this injury story can relate to search. The challenge was that was this is something never. Experienced before. I'd never had an injury. So what did I do that? This is where I really leaned on everyone around a the people that had injuries before my team, my physio is and basically just worked my goals into this new injury and working back and working on my weaknesses and ended up coming back from that. And had my my my successful trial in the April say from having my first injury in December two to back to foof it as performing actually better. I think the lesson I learned from there is that when you're struggling this is actually a real opportunity, and you you've got take the opportunities when they come whether that good or bad and just every everyone is it onto lead and reassess. What you do ri- detest Riddick. I'd say that was the biggest challenge dot com. Back from us that that now if we day in terms of every opportunity, I'll have good bad is learning blending

"Have fake Chris Christie took it all the way to the supreme court. They won the right to be able to put into effect sports gambling, and it is really lucrative. The betting market is closing in on the one billion dollar, Mark. And this is just after six months, so they're making a fortune off of this. But we don't have any New York. No. And the question is will we get it in New York. I mean, look at the the amount of money it's bringing in not not only to like the big casinos down there. And obviously the owners of those casinos they're raking in a fortune. But I mean, the tax revenue for the Garden State in just November was almost two and a half million dollars in tax revenue just off the sports betting. Well, we have one gentleman who joined us in studio gets on his bicycle each and every day because she's in New York City goes across GW bridge hooks up where you can make legal sports bet does it on a regular basis only to get back on the bicycle and go all the way across the George Washington Bridge Johnno, why do you do this Lou? Why? First and foremost. Threat syndrome. So conventional jobs are not really open to me as much. So I have to kind of find a way to get into any any industry in this industry. And I and I appreciate I mean you came in here. And I think it's really cool that you did that because you know, it's probably stress people out your cool, dude. So here's my thing with sports betting. It's like vices going Nain stream. It doesn't always benefit everybody. But you're you're like I'm going to go over there. I'm gonna do it over there. And you're gonna you're gonna ride your bike. How many miles? Good. I don't know about how many miles, but it's about thirty five minutes there and back the ride back is much better because it's all downhill. Problem is getting there in time for the back. You wanna make sure you do all your research before you leave? And you're not on the other side of the GW trying to figure out what you wanna do. Are you are you are you a sports better? Curtis. Would you possibly understand that I've been in a lot of wire room? So my time and my relatives would degenerate sports betting. But what is it that got you involved in sports betting? Lucas a lot of people that just watch the action. They don't participate. Well, the first thing he's got a distinct between his DFS daily fantasy sports and sports. I'm not a massive habit. Advocate of gambling to be honest. I don't consider daily fantasy sports gambling. Daily fantasy sports is choosing lineups players in lineups. And it's very much skill sport. How much money are you spending? Now how much look what goes out today? Five hundred thousand. Oh, wait, what about Dalton? Everyday gambling. The main thing is distinction between DFS and gambling. My my sports betting over the bridge is simply to hedge mightier fest stuff. So so for. I'll pick a certain amount of players on a given night. And if I have too many players from one team is an indicator to jump over the bridge and hedge my losses are not jump over. The Persian to go across the pitch. You know, what you're doing recently? The judge made the ruling in court that if you decide to jump off the George Washington Bridge tough nugget, you must have thought about it. We put up the wiring to block you if somehow you negotiate your way through the wiring into the. Your fault? Has saved me many times. Anyone who you guys know what's threats is? But bicycling is not typically skill. You want to pair with Terrell. It's well what happened? Your head's going all over the place. And on the bridge. It's not the best because you've got the cards to your right? And you got the water to your left quite so does does biking then for you? Does it help calm you down? The alternative is going on the train and the Cavs. You get scrutinized when you're flipping people off with your Toronto cursing, it's not the ideal situation. So not in New York City. I went to school in Rhode Island university of Rhode Island. A little bit more a little tamer out there. Much more lackadaisical and less angry people for sure. Now how much time do you put in studying this because United States betting on bass? I liked the color of the uniform guy wears or I liked the name of the team. You're doing some intensive studying right. Yes. So they used to be three parts. Content from the articles for the websites. I used to write for. I do private coaching. So I have twelve subs twelve to fifteen roughly, and I do private coaching with them for DFS purposes, and and conventional gambling and then. Around eleven AM. I start my research and all kind of meshes together. So you're like a pro. Somebody that I if I wanted to do this. I would go to and you would probably help advise me. Yeah. I mean, I would never do. The way I think about it is anyone that's an expert in anything is it's inevitable that you succeed. Eventually. So I'm up at ten AM eleven AM. And I'm looking at stats all day, dealing with my subscribers for the people that I coach writing content and too much content anymore to be honest. But when I was in between the content of the coaching the writing the research, everything it's nine hours of studying. It's inevitable. You're going to be good at all right now. Obviously you win. You lose. You have to report your wins and losses to the IRS. No, no. I don't believe you do. I do..
