"Maybe you could just do the core product that people really like instead of ruining it. The second issue is john and ben. Were talking about guys. The reason we conflate these things is because what we call morality has two different things in that bucket. One is things that are actually moral which is carrying about other human beings and not violating their rights. Their safety their health their eight wishes et cetera. And then we layered on top of that is old morality of eilly. Tell you what to do with your life and that's not actually morality. It's something somebody wrote two thousand years ago. That has no bearing on our lives is a bunch of busybodies and by the way. Ironically the guys yelling freedom are the ones that say that. They're don't want the freedom that they want to impose their so called morality on the rest of us and judges for our private actions. That have nothing to do with them. So this move by only fans is an absolute debacle. And there's not one redeeming quality of it. I think we're clear enough on it. And it was an underlying problem in society. that's much larger. "So far from Berate Abe Shit. Ah Okay Ju Ju I yeah. Full whenever ver- whenever spot KOCHTA cucumber and dismember those twelve okay. Excellent just not just this this stuff is just not today. Today's date what was the six month again the sixth month as as of course I will tell you immediately jewel It's today is. I'll ask you next time. Today is Sunday which is Daddy's Daddy's written them down already. Today's Sunday the fourth of February. Five hundred fifty nine hundred fifty of the Brotherhood Sundays actually the equivalent of our Uh Friday as our Moon Day Tonj Weekday sump day Sunday as midday. What what what is the what is God's storyteller the creator of the world yes and why does it? But he's also a day yeah because residency arrested arrested. He's arrest day is a Sabbath is he. Well I mean he's the equivalent I suppose to a Sabbath to the extent that they have one here moon days named after the moon tone is named after John Zarrella Sigh of Wisdom Weekday is is the day of the week thump days named after thump the God of battles and fighting Sunday's named after the Sun as the day's named after Asthma Day the devil an Irt is named after the Creator as what we what was the fourth monthly in before his shit. And it's all right moving on. This is all this morning with all this stuff is. It's just the suggestion that this is all perfectly planned and worked out right So he took. Lucas was all scout yet. So Yeah I've understood. Now say basically this is we rescued boy off reasonably wealthy in keep from nasty people that should be with this particular. These is lighting up. They don't listen anyway. This kid is scared he came up. Here is dad. That's how Law Kids come to this. You did Purple and on sessions with kids. You came up the dare is to go into the entrance and you've never really. You didn't do do it. He saw the horses. He says he was appearing in other people that then he show and he saw Mademoiselle the lodge her heavies and that awful null On on on the end of a chain come crashing around the corner off to him and he fled in here and you've rescued him. They were outside the cave entrance or they were or the inside. They're outside you know. And he knows that they Rome they you know they roam the hills It's always been assumed that they they left town they they kind of scrabble. A living out in the hills away from the forces of law and order such as they existed on Lake because the forces of Lord Dominika massively corrupt but many of thus recognize that name than they used covens. Cousins is the sheriff. Is this something that is going to have to making a presumption here but Cuthbert you heard the conversation between Jj and the other guy accommodates name. Because I'm hopeless digger so yes. Cuff overheard a conversation between JJ INDICA and one of them said these lanterns are just like that lands in incumbants office. Woo wonder what we're going to get the red lantern from Redwan yes they might be where you'll read lenten is yeah So what are we doing down here. Quite lots of things. Okay as usual but at the same time all right So so yeah what next. There is a very good question. Would you want to do next. I think a trip back into town. wikileaks guys might my cousin Chason. I'm going to continue clearing this stuff away for like say this. We had water thing tries to interfere with the activity of your major and with no effect and your major and keeps clearing away gunge with no effect and it only lasts a minute by the time expires. You've made no appreciable difference to the drains. Do another one. Yeah just keep doing them permanency. I'M GONNA come out Wolf Sir. Yep chromatic all on top of the thing creature oh you now okay lightning one okay that being back home mm-hmm yeah okay. So so grumbled ashes the other people away from the water or he think to do that and he pretty quiet lightning to be that take damage okay and he and he costs a constant chromatic. Old This thing so you need to role to make a you need to make a range sped attack. Yup You're going to have advantage because I think you can have. You can have advantage. Because is you'll you'll you'll attacking out if nothing to the extent that you've got surprise. I think that's reasonable plus five so this is the Five Live added Twenty Metro Twenty thirty. Oh Okay so you land it absolutely square on this thing I mean a presuming. It travels through the water. We can just gonNA hand whatever the water might have make your. There's no saith rose saving how how much damage it's a critical critical so the damage is twenty four twenty four points damage. Well I mean you zap it with this thing thing and it definitely recoils the it seems to be Very unhappy about what. You've just done whatever it is and it dissipates. or rather retreats off into the darkness where you can't say I don't think you killed it. It's not there anymore You didn't get the sense that it sort of all old gone. You got the sense that it sort of recoiled and then and then And then withdrew K next reason. Good kind of off slightly stuck down here We have fully explored room to the West where I got exhausted ghosted. We haven't fully loaded with these little the bugs in it we've got. We have a couple of the body. We've recovered the body. Because the red lantern back in town I mean doesn't got guys upstairs Doug no situation with them. Is I think Catholics do is going to stand in the shadows below the broken lift shaft. If that's what it is. And he's GonNa be listening to see if he can hear nothing. But the likelihood is the guys was upstairs and going to find the word I look down and if they look down and they see someone down there do they have kind of motivation into lately. It gives them more More clarity on their actions. If they don't see anyone they might assume that this is old or you know that this. They don't necessarily know that we're still here. Except that there's a road coming down with a PITMAN and they're looking for a little boy so they might assume that he's come down here anyway right right exactly but they might send somebody down in vence than might send the the null down in which case we don't want anything to fight rather than if they see that there's somebody down here they might will come down a massive might be much more tricky. All they might go they might cut their losses. Go Way. That's why I said I was going to be kind of discretely so I'm trying. I'm no I'm not saying I just think we want to be properly out of sight with no sign of light or anything that they can identify or they might pull the very uh what they might pull the right path. But what are we gonNA do about that. OTHERWISE WE'RE GONNA learn engaged what we climb up kind kind of get done saying I kind of agree which was trying to say. I'm going to be doing this quietly but yeah right stay out visible and I just want to listen to the other. It was the that we can either climb up the ripe. I tell you we can either hide or we can climb very from trying to gauge them at the top and have a fight. Question is whether we think we get gets to the top quickly enough to be in position to engage before where to sort of disadvantaged scituate yes that makes anything so the thinking is if we are going to sort of hold out then of course the moment with dragging somebody out of the crypt because some people splashing shing around in the water. If any would come to the edge then they would be hearing all this because download the Boston we heard them at the top of the stats. So that means if they're the top the shaft right they are going to be hearing. What's going on so yeah for background? You can hear them muttering and talking to each which other upstairs but not but that now northern outdoors so you know you can't see them. I cannot see him anywhere you can hit them. Crashing.

"This is the guy Gordon show on news talk seven sixty WJR. We're back with John Zarrella who CEO of the border plex alliance which is a group along the Mexican border coalition that seeks to engage a greater economic traffic and exports of American goods across the border. Just want to get back to one point that you made. And that is about the the humanitarian state of things we heard during the president's address you talked about the humanitarian crisis. We have heard from the mayor's. You've got an awful lot of people that end up in the area once they do seek asylum. What is it doing to the social services network there? And what does this influx of people doing their folks that are saying that there are areas that are crime-ridden because of it? What's the reality on the ground along the border? Well, I always have to chuckle when people say that are in our cities along the border crime ridden, the fact of the matter is if you look at data the latest FBI statistics that have been put out for two thousand seventeen we don't have the two thousand eighteen data though, it will be coming out soon. El Paso is the largest or excuse me, the safest large city in America for one of the safest we finish just a fraction of a point behind San Diego, which is almost on the border to as the two safest cities in the entire country both from petty misdemeanors all the way up to the most heinous crimes, El Paso, San Diego. San Diego, El Paso, safest large cities in the entire country. That's true for most communities along the border. Whether they be large small communities, and we're very very proud of that. So when pop culture portrays this as being a haven for drug runners, and smugglers, and all these horrible things that allegedly happened in movies. Unfortunately, sometimes it gets manifested itself into public policy and public debate. It's absolutely false. Let me just say that right now. So. With the disconnect here though, because we do have to believe that the supposed experts on this are going to be the border patrol and also the union of border patrol agents, and they both endorse the president's plan. So help me with that disconnect. If they're the experts and say that this is a useful tool. What if folks on your side saying that it is it well with all due respect to the law enforcement officers? I have spoken with them. And they did not want a solid concrete barrier. They viewed that as a threat to them. They wanna see through it. Exactly precisely right. And which very very interesting is it just today. I was reading an article about those steel slat barriers and she BP put out a report, and it was made available through a foia request that those steel barriers and it showed a great photo of it. Another news outlet ran with the story that it was very easy to cut through those steel slat bears typesetter being advanced Jacob sober. NBC had the the actual pictures of of what happened after the fact that'd be that. As it may though, again CB says these are good things to have. So he can help me with that disconnect. Well, again, I think what she has said. And what they've said consistently is that it might be considered a tool in there. Additional additional tool in their toolbox for helping deter this type of stuff. But again, I to my knowledge VP has ever endorsed a wall that went from San Diego to Brownsville to mine. All right. But even the president isn't endorsing that. Now, we can some all this up is it so much that the folks are against the wall or they're against the list of priorities that the president has and they feel that technology personnel needs to be one and two with the wall last. Yeah. Well, I would say, you know, where I do agree with President Trump, and the administration is at least some in the administration or talking about a virtual wall. I think that is something that we might be able to talk about and hopefully get off the dime on on. On this shutdown again investing in our ports of entry per congressman values proposal, a virtual wall using technology. Hiring thousands of new C VP personnel makes common sense and economic sense. And I believe a combination of those things would work quite well. I I would hope that that would be a starting point from which we could finally in Washington is some of this resistance in your area, cultural because there's so many people there that came in legally in many cases of Hispanic origin. But also some that came illegally is that does that also erode some of the some of the support for for a barrier. No, no, it really doesn't. I I I haven't seen that locally. The one thing that I will reiterate is that we are our border plex region consists of two point seven million people and see that in El Paso, and then in Dona, Ana county, New Mexico. We have three geographies that converge in one region. And I will say that we we see ourselves as integrated economically. We're proud to say that to thirty percent of the retail trade that takes place in El Paso comes from Mexican nationals. Who by the way, are seeing some some nice economic growth, and we should be viewed our border plex region should be viewed as a laboratory as a model for how you create jobs economic opportunity and stability in public safety. Our crime rates have dropped dramatically over the past thirty years because of these opportunities that are being created. And we're very very proud of that people should come see how we do business here. And it's a model for how other communities should do. Well, hopefully, people will have a better perception of what is the reality along the border in places like mcallen places, like El Paso and elsewhere John Zarrella bit these are fine communities doing a lot of good things. And also facilitating trade across the border, which helps all of us. We want you to push a few more cars across the border. If you would we'd be happy. With that thanks for being with us. And we wish you well, a border plex. So he certainly is no Pelosi fan shares. A lot of ideas about the wall though, that's kind of the consensus viewpoint on the ground there along the border. What do you think about that one eight hundred eight five nine zero WJR one eight hundred eight five nine zero nine five seven your calls next..

I that's why I love saying it's not the plug which just because they sound so good collusion. How central bankers rigged the world? That's how you write a title. Okay. For other titles other people's money. The corporate mugging of America and other what it takes a pillage. Aren't they? Actor is descriptive. That's visual. I love it. I love it. Well today there's amendment introduced, and it's kind of awesome. And I think you should go a little further, and I think it challenge corporate person. So that's part of why I love your books because I like number it might now actually be the number one myth on television in Washington that Americans love big business. Right. Like people like, oh now West Virginia, you're going to want to run a big business candidate why based on what polling what evidence America's eight big business hate. And so I think that if you did an amendment incor- person hood, it would be shockingly popular. And of course, it would be despised by elite. And that's why. Business. That's the entire point big businesses. What makes individual votes more important and also overrides them at the same time. Not that that's the whole entire point their amount of money and influences is the definite problem. Yeah. That that would get a fair shake by CNN or MSNBC or Fox News,.
Trump metals tariffs will cost Ford $1 billion in profits, CEO says
"Economy is doing well enough that the fed felt comfortable enough today to raise the short-term interest rate it controls and other. Quarter percent to two and a quarter percent share pal. Two questions for about an hour somewhere. Ted weedy, some more newsy on the impact of trade and tariffs. For instance. I from the chairman came the disclaimer, so I guess I need to start by saying that we're not responsible for trade policy, and we don't comment on particular trade actions, and that sort of thing, and then came the, but we've been hearing a rising chorus of concerns from businesses all over the country about disruption of supply chains materials cost increases, and and and loss of markets and things like that. Which in that way that the global economy goes gets us through the corporate story of the day led by this piece of audio from Jim Hackett, he's the CEO of the Ford Motor Company. Speaking today at a Bloomberg event. From Ford's perspective, the metals tariffs. Took about a billion dollars of profit from us, which the irony is we source most of that in the US today. Anyways, the metal tariffs, of course, are the Trump administration steel and aluminum tariffs that got this whole import tax ball rolling this past spring, the interesting bit of what hack it said is that this is where the tariff story veers firmly into the that is the way they're supposed to work lane marketplaces run out of sago has that one when the Trump administration's laughed at twenty five percent tariff on steel shipped to the US in June. The idea was we raise the price of foreign steel, and that will force companies that need the raw material to buy domestic instead John Zarrella runs. The trade group global automakers he says, we forgot one thing about tariffs. US steel producers because they're protected now from foreign competition have raised their prices almost to the same level of the tariffs. Domestic steel companies are seeing a boost to their bottom lines. One of the biggest. I US steel projects record revenue growth by the end of this year, but a much larger group is losing out American and foreign companies that manufacture in the US and firms that export goods from this country. But our exports to other countries around the world have now gotten more expensive because other countries are retaliating by imposing tariffs of their own on goods exported from the US automakers face some stiff headwinds right now car sales are down just as they say they need to maximize profits to pay for newer, safer cars and compete technologically. At Cam as vice president of industry at the research firm auto Pacific, whether you're whether you're right or Honda. This is bad news. No matter who you are. He says many car companies are eating up the higher steel prices for now. But pretty soon he says they'll hit consumers to
