"There were investors and owners of systemic large banks that were built out. We're not going to do that again. She addressed concerns about the banking industry as a whole and told CBS its resilience. The American banking system is really safe and well capitalized. The situation marks the second biggest bank failure in U.S. history and congressman ro Khanna told face the nation he wants more clarity on how the federal government is going to help. First, the principal needs to be that all depositors will be protected and have full access to their accounts Monday morning. The Biden administration said late yesterday that all Silicon Valley bank clients will have access to their money today and the Federal Reserve said it was creating a lending facility for American banks to help protect against any fallout from the collapse. Congress paying close attention. Congressman Michael McCall spoke to face the nation. We want to make sure this is an isolated event and a systemic event that could impact things like in 2008 when we did bail out the financial sector. Former chairwoman of the FDIC Sheila Blair told NBC's meet the press, the collapse of peers to be isolated. $200 billion bank. I think it's going to be hard to say that this is a systemic in any way. As far as the help from the federal government secretary Yellen said taxpayers are not on the hook and the money used to be backstopped by a fun to banks regularly pay into. Some Silicon Valley execs under fire today after receiving bonuses just before the collapse, some saying though that annual bonuses were typically given out on the second Friday of March. Night after former vice president Mike Pence has his most forceful remarks about Donald Trump and January 6th and a speech he gave this weekend more on that from Washington correspondent John stillness. While not an official candidate for The White House in 2024, Pence sounded like one, getting ready to take on his former boss at the annual gridiron club dinner in the nation's capital over the weekend. Doing what most prospective candidates have so far refused to do. Call out Donald Trump by name. Speaking about the January 6th riot at the capitol, Pence laid the blame at the feet of the former president, saying quote, president Trump was wrong. I had no right to overturn the election, and his reckless words endangered my family and everyone at the capitol that day. And I know history will hold Donald Trump accountable. The dinner was closed to the press, but the word got out quickly. Shocking those in attendance at the white tie affair that generally serves as a lighthearted event where speakers poke fun at themselves. Pence responded to last week's Fox News segment in which host Tucker Carlson showed portions of tens of thousands of hours of protesters at the capitol and downplayed the day's events. Pence said quote, what happened that day was a disgrace, and it mocks decency to portray it in any other way. Pence had long been a staunch defender of the former president going out of his way to lavish praise. But on Saturday night, he did a one 80, making jokes at Trump's expense, saying his former boss's ego was so fragile that Trump wanted Pence to sing him win beneath my wings during their weekly lunches. In one piece of audio that leaked out, Pence took time to thank the press in attendance for their courage and covering January 6th. You're working to fire our actions for the actions of all the elected officials who reconvene the very same day and turn the day of tragedy into a tribe of the treaty. Pence has not officially declared as a candidate for the presidency in 2024, but has been laying the groundwork to run. John stillness, Washington

"Own Republican establishment, they've been in Washington way too long that forgotten why they came here. Later today, former UN ambassador and presidential candidate Nikki Haley and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo headlined the conference, Trump himself will speak on Saturday afternoon following the conference's annual straw poll of 2024 presidential candidates. John stillness, Washington. 21 before the hour on America in the morning, there's a huge tech talent shortage in America, despite all these layoffs. It's an odd combination and joining us to discuss the situation is ashwin barath, the CEO of the largest employer of emerging technology talent in the U.S., they've placed over 10,000 software engineers and techies all throughout Fortune 500 companies and the government. Ashwin bharath, why the big disparity layoffs yet jobs that's almost unprecedented. For somebody who is not in the tech space, it's so easy to get confused is on one side you're talking about like all these big demand and mismatch in supply versus demand for programmers. And the other hand, you're having this high profile layout. Let me first address the layout. So the layouts are really pocketed towards a small portion of companies, which like literally dialed really crazy high on their talent need and their double triple their workforce in a very short period. And it's more of a hygiene thing. But all in all, for the tech industry that is a massive mismatch and give you some examples. There are 28 million programmers worldwide according to IDC and that's expected to reach 45 million by 2030. Wow. Wait a minute, there's 28 million now and it's expected to reach over 40 million by in just a few years? Yes, by 45 in the next few years, but the interesting factor out of this 28 million, only 5 million of them are enterprise grade. And what you as need is more enterprise grade program. What's enterprise? Not every program is output is as efficient as the other programmer. So somebody who is actually their output is much faster and much better are called enterprise grade programmers. So not every program over the same. Right. So there is a need for the 5 million to double in ten years. The enterprise grade program. So that is huge. And this necessity is the reason why that is a massive mismatch and all the rage inflation is happening, right? I think to me, it's not going to change. It's going to get worse and worse. And if somebody has the right aptitude and attitude and is interested to be a program would be a programmer, I can not think of a better time than trying that out now. Well, what does it take? Do you have to be greater than math skills? What does it take to be a programmer today? How do you get through the college course? That's a good question. The fact is, it's easier to have them done, right? But it's not that tough either. If you think about U.S. and in India ink, why is India ink creating such a massive tech workforce? There's no magical land. Anybody having there? There is not any difference between the talent here versus the talent in India. In my opinion, the fundamental factor is in U.S., you are seeing a tech job at the tech job. But in India, the most of the tech jobs as a result of jobs. Let me tell you what the difference is. If somebody working in Google, creating a small functionality for Gmail, the search engine or AI and protection, your understanding of technology and programming should be at a very hardcore level. That's not even 5% of the job needs in the U.S.. But most of the job technology programmers are working on applications to get basic data, updating the database, retrieving data from the database. Showing it are some UI UX website. These are basic functionality. These are nothing but text services jobs. Okay. The level of complexity at which they do the work is massively different than an actual tech job. More and more companies should see that and more people should see their ability to become a programmer is ex services rather than a tech job. For those looking for work for those interested in a profession in this field, what's your website? Come to ravager dot com dot com and there are fantastic efforts to learn. They can apply if somebody is willing to learn on their own. I think there is also some tools for them to learn on their own. And they can join and will be happy to help them and catch applications as what led the not only the leading tech talent enablement firm. Also, the largest employer of entry level programming talent in the U.S.. No one likes to hear that industries are laying off in droves, but at least you're doing something about it and maybe you're giving hope to some of these people that have been laid off that see within the industry how they can grow. And we hope you can place them very soon. Ashwin Baratheon, CEO of ravager, the largest employer of emerging technology talent in the United States. Thanks for joining us. 16 till, the

He thanked supporters following his advancement to the runoff. And I want to thank you all. Old Friends and new for joining this campaign. It's because of you, we are in the second round. There's more fallout over the classified document scandal as former president Donald Trump speaks out about the revelations of finals being found at the Delaware home and at a former office belonging to President Biden. But now his successor, President Biden is embroiled in his own classified document scandal, and on the water cooler with David Brody on real America's voice, Trump makes clear what he thinks of The White House's handling of the discoveries. Meanwhile, league officials are still trying to decide what to do about Monday night suspended game between the bills and Bengals with one week left in the regular season, the game has important playoff implications. The league says the week 18 schedule will move forward as planned, meaning the bills would host the Patriots, and the Bengals would play the ravens. I'm John stillness. NBA Kevin Durant had 44 points, but the bulls had 6 players score in double digits and outran the nets one 21, one 14 to end Brooklyn's 12 game winning streak the longest this season. Bucks went overtime to get past the raptors, a triple double for Yanis and Edo kumbo. Sixers without Joel embiid outlasted the pacers in overtime. Grizzlies chewed up the hornets. For their fourth straight win, Cavaliers nipped the suns, Phoenix has lost four in a row. Pelicans tilted the rockets, Houston has dropped its last 5. Nicks kicked the spurs, Jalen Brunson, a career high, 38 for New York. 38 are gonna have three points if we win, that's all I really care about. And that's just been my goal, my mindset and the mindset of this team is going to keep it going. But does it does so with a win? Pistons and the warriors just their third home loss this season wins for the magic Timberwolves hawks and Lakers. College basketball four top 25 upsets, including number four Connecticut falling at Providence. Number 12 Miami number 16 duke and number 22 auburn also go down. NHL wins for the Devils, the wild and the ducks, and 15 finalists have been named for the pro football Hall of Fame class of 23. Three making it in their first year of eligibility. Tackle Joe Thomas, cornerback Darrell rivas, and defensive end Dwight freeney. At the other end of the spectrum, cornerback Albert Lewis is a first time finalist in his 20th and final year on the ballot. Up to 5 of the 15 will be voted into the hall with that announcement coming next month during Super Bowl week. That's Thursday sports. Thanks, Robert. It's 7 till coming up on America in the morning. "Other words, I don't think it changes the ball game so much as maybe we'll have a rain delay for a couple of innings. He said the federal government already has the evidence it needs to determine if charges are appropriate. Which is government documents were taken, classified information was taken and not handled appropriately. And none of that really relates to the content of documents. In the filing the DoJ wrote that Trump does not and could not assert that he owns or has any interest in possessing classified records. Barr told Fox, the appeal process could be a long one. I hope they expedited, but it could take several months to get that straightened out. The Justice Department also asking canon to stay her order that stops it from reviewing the classified documents as part of its criminal investigation. I'm Clayton Neville. And also correspondent John stone is reports that former Trump senior adviser Steve Bannon has appeared in court in handcuffs on fraud and corruption charges. About the killing for us in case I have not yet begun to fight. Steve Bannon walking to his court appearance in handcuffs after turning himself into authorities in New York, wanted on charges he duped donors to give to a fund that was supposed to build a wall along the U.S. Mexico border. Bannon's lawyer submitted a not guilty plea to charges of money laundering, conspiracy and fraud related to the build the wall campaign. Prosecutors say Bannon promised all donations would go to building the wall, but hundreds of thousands of dollars were allegedly sent to third parties, as well as two other people. Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg saying this was a yearlong fundraising scheme. The debt had more than 15 $1 million from thousands of donors across the country based on false pretenses. As president Donald Trump pardoned Bannon just before leaving office on similar charges revolving around build the wall. But now the city of Manhattan is pursuing criminal charges of their own. I'm John stillness. Which raises interesting question what possible interest does the city of Manhattan, which is of course there to enforce laws in New York City. They might start with some of their criminal laws and people worried less about this particular case. This is a federal case. And should have remained such. So anyway, we'll talk about that. We'll take a call in regard to this particular story coming up. But the city of Manhattan has no business pursuing this at all. Back with more in a moment. "Welcome back to the Jim bohannon show at one 8 6 6 5 O Jimbo. One 8 6 6 5 O 5 four 6 two 6. As we report the California has a new workers Bill and to correspondent John stone reports one fast food CEO says that will cost you more at the checkout counter. In a post on McDonald's corporate website, CEO Joe erling or criticized the state's fast food accountability and standards recovery act, saying it doesn't treat all restaurants the same and will end up costing American consumers more. The bill creates a fast food sector council made up of union representatives, employers, employees, and two state officials who will work together to establish a standard for wages and working hours, among other things. Those in favor say it addresses unsafe working conditions, wage theft and helps workers earn a living wage while opponents like say the bill only helps some fast food workers and would hurt the fast food industry. The bill awaits governor Gavin Newsom's signature, he has not said if he will sign it into law. I'm John stillness. And I'm going to come back and talk some more about that in just a moment and the law of unintended consequences, but right now Danny in San Jose, California. Good evening, Danny. How are you doing, jibo? I'm fine, sir. Thank you. Hi, so I just wanted I was hearing a show there about the carjacking and a different perspective from the last person that's in law school to the other individuals that you should give those like a benefit package not to commit crimes, which they've tried out here. I believe in Oakland, California. And if in fact worked, I would grant the previous caller the point that it would be cheaper than the criminal justice system. I'm just not sure it would work. Go ahead. So I don't believe it works. I'm 56 years old. I come from an environment where 8 years old, this real quick. No dad, I lived in section 8, lived in the projects, mom said it was better for me to go into group homes in foster homes and for her to take care of me. Now, you do become the product of your environment. So when you're in that environment, and then you're going to juvenile hall, what you experience is what's in there, which is basically learning how to survive fight, et cetera. And then your experience I gather in group homes and the like was not a very positive one, would that be correct? It would not be positive as a place for instead of the home and that is correct. Okay. I mean, I don't know what your alternative was. It was the group home or what, but you didn't enjoy it. Would that be safe to say? Well, what was your alternative, Danny? You could go to the group home or what? Well, there wasn't an alternative fast forward from that. You go into my adult life and going back to those neighborhoods, you have a choice. And you become a product of that environment. If you're surrounded around that environment in section 8, the projects and around what your other guests are talking about, then you become the company you keep, but are you taught enough to be able to decide? I mean, I don't know what your learning experience was. I mean, I should stay away from John over there. John is a troublemaker and a criminal or should I hang around John because John sells drugs and pimps and John drives a fancy car. I mean, I'm not sure how much guidance you had in that regard. So you gravitate to those that were not there, which is parents. So what you call that later as I learned in college and psychology is abandonment. And I believe it will be true because I've seen it with my nephews. I've seen it with others. So you gravitate to those that are going to be around you, which are those people, as you mentioned, and the streets, the drug dealers, the ones that are going around, as you stated, pimping and doing other stuff and cheating and doing the whole 9 yards. Well, you seem to have managed to make it. How did you do it? So what changed me after being incarcerated in the 20s and incarcerated 18 and so forth and going that route where my kids and when I first thought it was 5 years old and she asked me when are you coming home, daddy? That is what broke me. It's not all the other stuff. That's when I decided that I'm done with this. And the first thing was you need to get out of that environment. There are no excuses, your accountable. Nobody owes you anything, it's you have to make that choice. If you don't, then you will keep doing the same thing you will still be selling drugs. You'll still be hanging around people that are robbing banks and so forth. No, that's a remarkable revelation. And I'm just curious, you reached that revelation, how is it that so many others don't? I mean, if you could put that into a magic elixir, you'd be a billionaire. I mean, you figured it out. But so many others don't. What separated you from all the others who just said the hell with the kid? I'll make more. I swore that what I went through and those experiences would not happen to my kids, and by doing that means that I have to. Are you still there, Danny? A full-time parent, and there has to be a full-time parent. You swore that what you went through, go ahead. That you have to be the parent because again, that colonel abandonment, that's a big factor. And that's what happens in these projects. That's what happens why so many things are going on because then we end up leaning on those older ones that are in the streets where 1314 and we're hanging around these 1920 year olds and then again we become the environment that we keep and then we're stuck in there and so

"Com and you can follow me on the Twitter at Jimbo talks. And thank you. For being with us on the program this evening, it is good to be back in the saddle again. And I thank you for all the kind words from people out there. The big story of course with this past evening was the announcement made by our president, regarding the killing of Al-Qaeda's number one and here's John stillness. I'm in Al zawahiri with Osama bin Laden's chief deputy when both were planning and carried out the 9 11 attack. The deadliest terror attack on American soil. Last night, in an address to the nation, President Biden announced U.S. forces had killed the longtime terror leader. The United States successfully concluded an air strike in Kabul, Afghanistan that killed the emir of Al-Qaeda. Iman elza weary. Biden says the CIA drone strike resulted in no collateral damage. The mission was a success. None of his family members were hurt and there were no civilian casualties. Next month, will mark 21 years since the 9 11 attacks masterminded by bin Laden and Al zawahiri. No matter how long it takes, no matter where you hide, if you are a threat to our people, the United States will find you and take you out. Al zawahiri was bin Laden's right hand man until bin Laden was killed by U.S. forces in 2011. Al zawahiri then assumed the mantle as the leader of Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan. Justice has been delivered and this terrorist leader is no more. His killing comes nearly one full year after the Biden administration's botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, House minority leader Kevin McCarthy reacted in a tweet saying, quote, the Biden administration must provide Congress with a briefing as soon as possible to discuss the resurgence of Al-Qaeda in the region following his disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. And Republican senator Lindsey Graham also responded with a tweet, quote, to the Biden administration, congratulations on this operation, but your overall strategy of abandoning Afghanistan is going to come back to haunt America because Afghanistan is again going to be a safe haven for radical Islam. But President Biden says he's kept a promise he made to the American people. And we continue to conduct effective counter terrorism operations in Afghanistan and beyond. We've done just that. In a statement, the Taliban quote strongly condemns the attack and called it a clear violation of the 2020 Doha agreement with the Taliban that led to the withdrawal of U.S. forces. Regardless, the president said he hoped the death of Alzheimer will help family members of 9 11 victims. To the families who lost fathers and mothers, husbands wives, sons and daughters, brothers and sisters. Friends and coworkers on that series September day is my hope that this decisive actual agree one more measure of closure. John stones, Washington. So we have angered the knuckle dragging simulator at savages in charge in Kabul. Well, too bad. More than a few of them should get the next United States Air Force suppository. One 8 6 6 5 O Jimbo one 8 6 6 5 O 5 four 6 two 6 and two Peter in the Oakland California good evening. Hey, good evening, Jimbo. Speaking of Kabul, I look forward to March of the same drone strikes. But I called in about the gentlemen from Washington talking about our proposal, it is not about the witch proposal. Go ahead. Yeah, the a's proposal is $12 billion in private investment. Not public money. They're including 3000 units of housing, a 400 room hotel, 100,000s of feet of retail space and office space, and they claim estimated $450 million in community benefits. I think the whole idea is bad regardless of his paying for it. I would rather see that it makes a big difference of whether or not that's paid for by taxes or if it's all private investment that's that makes all the difference in the world, doesn't it? Well, they're proposal is a private investment but I just think the location and everything is just a bad idea. They should redevelop where the stadium they have now is. So they're not asking for a penny, they're not asking for a penny of tax money. They're not asking for any tax breaks or anything in the nature. It's all private investment, really. Because that has got to be one of the most unique deals on a new stadium in the history of this country. Well, you know the Golden State Warriors stadium was totally paid for private money. And that was three or $4 billion. How long ago was that? How long ago was that? Just opened about four years ago. Really, all private money, that's interesting. Well, maybe a lot of communities have discovered that the notion of being considered a major League City is not all of its cracked up to be. All right, Peter, Gary and meridian, Mississippi. Hello. Jimbo had it. Yes, sir. I am so glad to hear your voice, sir. You are a kind gentleman. Thank you. I've been praying for you, Jim. I didn't know what was going on. I just miss you so much, and that's really all I got to have to the conversation I just miss you and you and I are we differ so much, Jim, but I really, truly appreciate what you bring to the child circuit and man, your voice being missing out there, it just created a void that I just almost couldn't tolerate out. So overwhelmed, almost miss you the night I had some business to which to attend and turned out and I heard your voice, I said, don't let it be a broadcast. Well, you're a good soul, Gary. I appreciate that very much. That's very nice of you, thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much, Jim. You stay healthy now. I'll do my very best. There you go. All right. And this is from a guy who doesn't even agree with me. That's a true gentleman we've got right there. And I'll try to live up to his standards. All right
