"It's bravely concerning to me the things that have occurred there over the last 20 years. Also yesterday I reported shouting match took place between the two most high profile owners Robert Kraft and Jerry Jones. John stash hour Bloomberg sports. Oh goodness. Thank you, John. 6 37 on Wall Street, time to take a look at stocks. Some of the names moving in the pre market Bloomberg radio and TV markets correspondent pretty Gupta is here with the reason why Netflix investors are shouting for joy. Oh, absolutely. And LX, what a turnaround story, at least for this stock. Shares are up almost 14% in the pre market. Get this Nathan. It could be its biggest jump if it holds since January of 2021. That is enormous. Back when subscriber growth was like the usual deal for them. Yeah, what it was normal for Netflix to have another beat. It's kind of what Amazon kind of came out every quarter quarter after quarter, having a pretty the problem with getting a pluses every quarter is that eventually that has to slow down. You can't continue it. Exactly. So nevertheless, Netflix looking like it has perhaps lowered its expectations a little bit and then beat them, which is really boosting the shares this morning. Like I said, up 14% in the pre market. And they beat their estimates for paid subscribers. They're saying that maybe the slowdown is likely over, but it's not just Netflix. Take a look at Disney as well. DIS is your ticker following in suit up 2.8%. A lot of the streamers are okay for Roku, those shares are also up to the tune of 3.7% this morning. You've got to look at Warner Brothers discoveries while WBD up almost 2%. So I'll give you one more Nathan because there's such a plethora of streaming companies out here. FuboTV FU BO, the streaming company for sports, also up for about 3% this morning. Yeah, all in tandem with Netflix. And I see we have some positive news in the chip sector for a change as well. We absolutely do Liam research is the one I want to kind of use as our poster child for this. So basically overnight, ASML, which is a Dutch semis equipment maker, came out and said that their sales are going to be better than expected in the fourth quarter. They're saying that's going to be driven by this kind of push for advanced trip making machines now. Nathan, I like to think about chips. I think of kind of big tech as your layer number one chips kind of magnify the move in big tech. So your companies like micron Intel Nvidia, et cetera and then there's like another layer and that other layer is chip making equipment companies. Think of it like the deer for chips, essentially. And that's where lamb research comes in handy ASML as well. So lamb research taking its cue from the Dutch equipment maker and saying, well, maybe it will work for us too. LRC X is your ticker up 3.4% this morning. Applied Materials not far behind a.m. 18 is the ticker there up about 2.4% in the pre market and of course KLA is the one you keep want to keep an eye on. Their ticker is interesting because it's actually KL AC, those shares are up about 3% as well. If you're on the last coast, you might think that's a radio station, but we'll leave that for another time. Bloomberg radio TV markets correspondent pretty Gupta, thanks as always for keeping an eye on what's happening in the pre market. Stocks as a whole, given back some of the gains now. We have S&P futures back to little changed up three points Dow futures up one point and NASDAQ futures kind of holding on a bit up to 23 points for a gain of two tenths percent. Ten year treasuries down 1430 seconds yield 4.06%, nymex crude on the rise up one and a half percent 84

"Nets of their pre season finales tonight. John stash Allen Bloomberg sports Nathan. All right, John, thank you to 6 37 on Wall Street on what is about to be a very busy morning for Allison Williams senior analyst for global investment banks at Bloomberg intelligence awaiting the first four of the big 6 Wall Street firms to report earnings before the opening bell, Allison's with us now, starting off with JPMorgan, of course, Allison. Let's go through these banks one by one. What are you looking for with JPM? We're looking for a very strong net interest income growth at all the banks and we do think that banks such as JPMorgan and Citigroup could increase their guide for the full year 2022. I don't think that's the focus though. I think the focus is really what's going to be happening with provisions, what can provisions tell us about how the banks are thinking about in terms of economic risk for 2023? Do you think a resiliency for the consumer might be something to keep the banks resilient at least for this quarter? I do think that I think we're going to see strength in terms of spending. We're going to see loan growth somewhat slowing for all the banks, but still healthy. And credit we also think remains strong. There's maybe some pockets of weakness on the lower end, but that's a smaller part of the business for these big banks. Apart from JPMorgan, of course, we'll hear from Wells Fargo later on this hour as well. What's the main point you're looking for from wells? So again, strong net interest income consumer, everything that we just discussed for Wells Fargo in particular what's happening on the cost side, Wells Fargo is going to have positive operating leverage this year we expect that's something that a lot of the other banks are not going to have somewhat of a reason for that. Is there a skew towards net interest income, but they've also been making structural costs to improve their returns and that's what the focus with wells. And with Morgan Stanley to follow a lot of the focus there, I would have to think is on the investment banking side. It is, but I think the new news we're going to be looking at is on the cost side because we know that from a revenue perspective, obviously just looking at the markets, fees are going to be way down equity trading, which is the area that they're relatively stronger in. Is not going to be the story this quarter. The story is going to be thick. They will get a benefit from fix, which is fixed income trading. So some cross currents on revenue, but generally going to be lower. So what does that mean for the cost side of things? What are they doing on the compensation accruals? And will they pull back some on discretionary spending? That was something that they had flagged as a potential profit lever. All right, Allison Williams of Bloomberg intelligence stick with us. We are expecting those first earnings to come out in the next few minutes from JPMorgan and Wells Fargo so Allison will be with us. In the minutes ahead to break down those results as they cross the Bloomberg terminal. Looking ahead to the market open, futures have turned higher now S&P futures are up 7 points. Down futures up 92, NASDAQ futures up four points. You're listening to Bloomberg daybreak. And JIT, New Jersey institute of technology makes innovation happen. John stash hour Bloomberg sports, Nathan. Okay, John, thank you 6 37 on Wall Street time to take a look at stock some of the names moving in the pre market. We've pride Bloomberg radio and TV markets correspondent creedy Gupta away from watching the UK market this morning to let us know what's going on in the early trade here on Wall Street. What are you looking at creating? Do you know? Do you know how hard that was, Nathan? I bet. It's like watching a train wreck. It looks like it's having some kind of impact on the futures as well. They've been whipped song. They are, I think if you're just trimming some of their losses here off the announcement, which is interesting, really reacting to the bond market, perhaps things there's some maybe some stimulus on the macro front, perhaps coming or I should say less hawkishness for that matter. Let's go to the U.S. though because there seems to be a perhaps a little bit more semblance of calm, although I wouldn't call it I wouldn't go crazy with that phrase either. Apple shares AAPL is what's taking the cake with taking the spotlight really this morning down about three and a half percent. This comes after a Bloomberg report actually a Bloomberg scoop, I should say that the company is likely to ditch its iPhone production boost. Remember this was going to be their major kind of shift forward. They were shifting to production lines from China to India, a really amping up what they're going to do for the iPhone 14, as well as creating perhaps a more lower cost version to be able to tackle some of the more emerging markets that rarely Apple doesn't have the majority of sales in. I'm really taking on China a full throttle. So that news looks like undermined a little bit here with that bloomer report. And the ripple effect here is going to be all across their supply chain. So Apple shares AAPL down 3.4%, but then you have to look at the semis as well. Micron, for example, MU's your ticker down 1.2% Qualcomm, not far behind it. QC OM is your ticker down 1.8% in the morning and of course skywork solutions also part of the supply chain. Down about 2% Nathan. So once again, a reform effect. And of course, the other big corporate story this morning creedy is Biogen and that Alzheimer's drug. That stock's been soaring all morning long. Oh, it absolutely is a 43% gain, and that's not even where it was session high. So for BIID, that's your taker for Biogen to your point Nathan, it is talking about its biggest gain since its 1991 IPO that is, of course, if the move actually holds the way it is right now, analysts saying it's all about the Alzheimer's drug study with their partner, I sigh, looks like things are going well on the Biogen front. And remember, Biogen was actually looking for alternative ways to diversify their portfolio. They were actually basically thrown under the bus for a while because of the lack of diversity they had in their portfolio. So this is really good news that they were finally able to get a little bit of success there. I'll leave you with one more very quickly locking Martin LMT down about 2% this morning. This comes after it was downgraded to an underweight over at Wells Fargo. Taking a little bit more of a cautious view on the defense sector. All right, Bloomberg radio and TV markets correspondent creedy Gupta will let you get back to the UK market. Now it is a very busy early session and looking at futures this morning it's busy there as well they had been lower for much in the morning right now S&P futures are up two points. We'll call it little change. Dow future is up 54

"Round match at the U.S. open, which is the final tournament of her career. John stash now our Bloomberg sports, Nathan. All right, John, thank you 6 37 on Wall Street time to take a look at stock, some of the names moving in the pre market Bloomberg radio and TV markets correspondent. Pretty Gupta is watching a lot of stocks move lower on the back of chairman Powell's comments, creating good morning. Good morning, a lot of a broad market sell off and that really is going to be the theme of today, even overnight in Asia you did see essentially just investors catching up to what you saw on Friday. So I guess the question is how much of the hangover is going to continue in the equity market, a good proxy for that is going to be Apple shares AAPL's your ticker shares down 1.2% in the pre market and you love to look at the specific proxy Nathan because of course we know that Apple is going to be the consumer proxy. Everyone uses an iPhone. It uses a luxury product. It's especially in the United States. So this is going to be something significant when it comes to the growth of the economy driven by consumer spending, but people also look at it for the rates back there. The idea that higher rates or even a stronger dollar is going to affect the bottom line of a lot of these big tech names, not just Apple, and then you have a third kind of proxy here as well. The idea of the apple has a lot of exposure to China. So as you see China return to someone that's kind of COVID policy that it had seemed to be loosening just a touch looks like it's going back on it. All of those factors are going to show up in Apple shares right now. So AAPL, once again as a proxy for broader tech under a little bit of pressure this morning. Yeah, along with the rest of the tech sector more broadly, interesting to see even when we are seeing all this selling creedy that when you look at our M live pulse survey, the latest one, a lot of investors we talked to are thinking the meme stock frenzy is here to stay. Yeah, a little bit of deja vu from the start of 2021 who thought that we would still be here a year and a half later. Bed Bath & Beyond is serving to be the poster child for that story, at least this time around BBB why is your taker? She was actually up 2.6%. It really shows you Nathan as you justly pointed out that in a kind of market where a lot of risk off sentiment is driving a lot of the sales. Well, the retail folks are still actually able to push up those single names. And this is going to be significant as we talk about whether or not a rally in the equity market is actually sustainable because there are arguments and there are some data out there that this last rally that we've seen has mostly been driven by retail sailors, traders, excuse me, and that is going to actually perhaps not be sustainable as they revert back to investing in single names instead of the macrophage. Nevertheless, today, BBBY up 2.6%. In the last few seconds here, creedy, how are crypto related stocks doing with Bitcoin back below 20,000 now? Well, back below 20,000 and some of the pain is being magnified in the cryptocurrency because if you look at what's happening with Bitcoin on percentage basis, it's not that big of a move, but then you take a look at some of the miners, are IoT, for example, for riot blockchain, it's down 3.2%. So once again, a little bit of a magnification of what you're seeing in crypto. All right, Bloomberg radio and TV markets correspondent pretty Gupta with us this morning as we continue to watch the selling S&P futures down 34 points now Dow futures down 248. NASDAQ futures lower by a 130 points that's a drop of 1%, ten year treasury is down 1930 seconds the old 3.11% and
