"That. I haven't heard one way or another, but I think understanding where you feel comfortable. Like ichiro felt comfortable in Seattle, now he could have played anywhere, but there's certain Tony Gwynn felt comfortable in San Diego. Certain players feel comfortable and don't want to go to bigger markets. Not everybody's built to play in New York. We know that we've seen that before. Yeah, do you think a ring will mean more in Anaheim than LA or New York? Sure. So maybe he's trying to do that. I mean, they're not going anywhere. I mean, look, I understand that, but if I'm ohtani's agent, do I want to get him into LA or New York? Absolutely. I want him on TV. I want him seen by people. I want him in playoff games. I want him to be showcased as the most valuable player in Major League Baseball, which he is. His value to the game, worldwide, eyeballs, that people love watching Aaron judge Shohei Ohtani gives you at the plate and on the mound. And nobody gives you that. He's the unicorn. Yeah, Pauly. One thing that's been bothering me about the angels for the past few years remember, I think it was the 2021 draft and they had 20 rounds of elections. They took all pitchers. That seems to me irresponsible. I saw some of the coverage of that. I know you're trying to win with pitching, but your pharmacist, I don't know, that just seemed nuts. By the way, I mentioned LeBron James, with a movie, I thought maybe he has his own documentary series like Michael Jordan did for ten years down the road. LeBron James is the subject of an upcoming biopic. Peacock announced it will premiere shooting stars of film based on the Bron James early life and high school career. And it will come out in 2023, the movie will be adapted from the book of the same name, which was authored by LeBron James and buzz bissinger. Let's see, what else do we have here? The filming was slated to begin in April and Cleveland and Akron. That's all the information I got on that. So it's a biopic. I don't know who's going to play LeBron James in that. Yes. I'm sorry, I'm still looking at Mike Trout's contract. So he still has 300 coming to him. Yeah. Okay. Through 2030. And he's already made about two ten. Yeah. Ouch. Pile it on. It's not bad money if you could get it.

"Got a chance to see the Michael Jordan movie. It's not really about Michael Jordan, but it's called air. It's about the recruitment of Michael Jordan by Nike and the stars are sunny vaccaro, who was the he was the longtime basketball rep for Nike. Got all those coaches, went out and got Jordan, changed Nike, changed Jordan. And Viola Davis plays Michael Jordan's mom. So the stars are Matt Damon and Viola Davis, and I would highly recommend it. It was really, really well done. And interesting, it's a story that you probably maybe heard a little bit about it, but the role of Michael Jordan is mom is, I mean, it's groundbreaking. She changed Nike, she changed athletes with brands because she said we want $250,000. Michael wants a Mercedes and we want a percentage of every single shoe that Michael's name is on it. And they agreed to it. And even in the movie, Phil knight played by Ben Affleck goes, what could it cost us? Like a couple $1 million.

"The world baseball classic. It'll be Japan against the United States. I'd love to see Shohei Ohtani go against Mike Trout, but ohtani is not scheduled to pitch, but that could be a great matchup there. We'll get to your phone calls. We'll talk to Tom ISO, Michigan state, head coach. He's been to 8 final fours in his career. The other 15 coaches left in the suite 16 have a combined total of 7 final fours. In other words, coaches has been around a long, long time. I thought I was able to outlast all of these guys. Coach K is gone. And Roy Williams is gone. Beheim is gone. And there you go. You won't leave, Tom. Congratulations. You've done it again. Yeah, like a bad habit, man. I'm still here, Dan, but so are you. So I guess we're in this together. Yeah. You know, we shouldn't be surprised, but are you surprised that you're in the sweet 16? You know, it has been a funny year. I like my team the whole year. And that doesn't normally happen. You know, we had a bunch of injuries early to starters were out for quite a while and as we started getting one of them back, I said, you know, this team, we got some experience. We got some guys that started playing well. Our guards, you know, Hogarth and Tyson walker and Jay naked have really started to play well together. We started shooting it better. And so am I surprised? That totally, but I thought the team we beat in marquette was a really good team really good. Deserving where they were and where they were seated. How do you coach in the tournament as opposed to how you coached during the regular season? Well, most of our fans think I golf during the regular season, just kind of sit back and do nothing. March comes and I like start working or something.

"They're better. Fraud is a big word. Across the line. That's a big word. You get the power of the pen, but don't let us win a night. I'm gonna tell you that right now, don't let the way we got. We know we had D lo going. It wasn't a great matchup. Matchup wise. But then we got Pedro gained 5 shilling game 6 and anything happened game 7. So that's how that started was that on the toilet seat with the word fraud and then there we have it and listen. It's amazing how much media can change the landscape of a series like it's crazy, right? Because it gives you, they call it bulletin board material, but it gives you guys a reason to really get there. Baltimore oriole board Baltimore board. Bulletin bulletin board material. But it is. It's amazing in sports how, especially team sports, how you almost take that word and even if he didn't deserve it, which he does. He's a loser. But he doesn't necessarily serve or whatever, you take it and you find it. You start chirping your own guys and like in the Jordan dock when he literally makes up what people say about him so that he'll hate these people. And when he goes on to the court, he's got this fire. He's going to go out and he's going to bury you. And it's like, you guys found that. Like you said, it's like maybe they are better, but like, we're not fraud. We're going to bring the big word. And it worked like that clearly. It just gets you off that mindset of what the series that, because the beat the Yankees four straight. I mean, Michael Waltrip won two Daytona 500s. I mean, anybody wouldn't want. Tell them about where you were standing there. Two outs. We're down by one. Mariano Rivera, one of the greatest number 42. And by God, I walked Mike. He threw up my neck and Joe Torre this day, says the only regret is walking in the mountains saying, go after Millar and God bless America, Mike, we're standing together because I thought it popped out. I'd probably been reincarnated as you know what? Yeah. You know, a fraud. One 5. Now that survived. So we have a brew company. Mike Waltrip and I and I have number 15. He was the real one 5. He's older. Please don't hit me. Please don't hit me. So yeah, that was so, you know, Yankee Stan, you guys are really friendly with the Red Sox. So I look over there.

"Yeah. Right. And you know, just bought just about four times. Like, if we're going to just watch Barry Bonds and you're going to watch him drag three or four times like, that's not what we really want. It's something that it looks normal because there's nobody on the left side. Right. But at the end of the day, we're waiting for big poppy or Barry or somebody to hit it in the Lake. And that's where it's just now with the shift changing. It might get back to what we're talking about. Right. Now, Freddie Freeman, he hits the three 30 with a shift on. So but he's a bona FIDE hitter. A lot of guys don't hit. They're swinging further downs. They're paying to hit two 20 with 30. And so this launch angle and all the stuff you guys are hearing. It's an uppercut, right? We had uppercuts now it's launch angles, like, so there's this, but at the end of the day, you got that's the best cat mouse game in all sports, the pitcher versus bitter. Like the adjustments and who's going to grab their crotch and let's roll. I mean, and that's the mindset, but we're like matched up now and then you can't see the hitter more than twice and two times around lap. So there's all this stuff going on that sometimes deteriorates the battle. And they're bringing the shift. Are they stopping, eliminating it? Are they trying to? This would be the first year's back where you can shift, but you can't go on the other side of the second base. The second baseman, the shortstop, or the third baseman can stand what? Just to the shortstop side of the second base? That's right. There's been shifts, but we're the only sport like you can't line up ten linemen on a line or you can't stand the key for more than three seconds. So we're the only sport like there's got to be just a little bit of rule. So is it two guys on each side of the bag? Yeah. So the shortstop can't even cross. Why are they why is there why are they allowed to basically tell you where to play defense, but that's a great point about basketball where you can't stand in the paper. It's fucking great point. It really is. That's a huge argument on behalf of changing the rule.

"Games and he just loved sports, like you said. He loved he loved watching it, loved being part of it. Before we lose you, I got to ask you a couple of baseball questions. Obviously, Yankees fan. So late 90s, that's where I got into sports Yankees braised was why I became a sports fan. Amazing rivalry. One of the things I've always wondered in this new age of baseball is how much do you see pitching has changed from like now we're in the position where they're taking out pictures with perfect games, just to preserve arms. And they have all these pitching limits. Like, do you see, is there mechanical differences now? What is the main difference between when you pitch in the late 90s, early 2000s, as opposed to information and reward system? They're just not rewarding guys for doing things differently. And if you're not, then you're going to, they want you to throw as hard as you can, go as long as you can, and not too long. So it's not the player's fault. They're training for what the reward system is. It is, in my opinion, really, really affected the game. I think in a negative way, they're going to try their best with rule changes to try to speed up the game a little bit and get these great athletes. You know, in position to do some things rather than stationary kind of three true outcomes. And it's not about, you know, you hear a lot of old time players going, well, back in my day, the reward system is totally different. We got paid on performing. And basically you had to pitch 250 innings and you were going to get paid. They're getting paid today on possibility. Potential. So when you run an algorithm and analytics the way it's being run, that's how the game and that's what you're chasing. So from that standpoint, do I think that's a good long-term plan? Absolutely not. But from an economical side, I'm sure they've run those numbers to say this is there's factory of arms coming left and right. They're not ready. They rush them the big leagues they can throw like the Dickens, they got stuff that's unbelievable. But again, that's a trainable thing that's not you can't last. You gotta be such a freak. I say it all the time. You look at your tachometer in your engine. And the car, there's a red line.

"And I pipe it down the middle, and he hits it in the bunker on the right, and we're walking down a fairway, and he goes, this might be your day. I see you darn rights could be my day. And I made 6. He made four. He shot 66. I shot 76. And I've never seen anyone attack a golf course. They were all Sunday pins. What year was that? Gosh, this would have been early 2000. So and so, I mean, he boringly hit a shot 66. It was nothing spectacular, but it was a course that he knew so well and all the pins were Sunday Pence. So, you know, that's a memorable round on her. There was a clip that came out like a month ago or two weeks ago and they asked Tiger like what's the most fun round of golf that you've played with celebrities and he said with smoltz in the baseball guys. Yeah. Yeah, he loved baseball. He went to a lot of our games. We had a three on one. It was me, Maddox, and I think Avery, but it might have been glad, but I think it was me Maddox and Avery. And we were waxing them. Like a scramble, or no, it was our best ball against his, like, you know, three on ones. I mean, that's not easy for even the great new well. He turned it on the last 5 holes and he netted out winning $50 and you would have sworn he had won the masters. He went crazy rallying back. And he just, like I said, loved competing and we had a, it was like the greatest run of ever for me personally. He has such a reverence for athletes. He loves athletes. He loves picking their brain. I remember watching him talking to Dwyane Wade and any sport he just wants, he just feels a camaraderie with you guys. No doubt. We play ping Pong shot hoops, you know, and the thing is watching him do his thing. Is I mean, he played me on his knees one whole. And I knew I knew. I mean, it wasn't like I didn't know he was going to hit great shots, but he put it to play every shot on his knees. So we need help. And I had to use one club. I had to use one club and one club owner. Okay. So par 5 dogleg right, 500 yards. It's part four, sorry. At eyeworth. So I figured 5 would 5 would if I missed the bunkers, I got a chance to make four or 5. Well, he striped his driver, striped another one short, chipped up. He made 5. I made four. And I got what I said, not again. We're not doing that again. And then he got up and down with a two iron. From the bunker. Just for sure. It's just stuff you can't make up if I, I mean, I wouldn't believe you if you were telling me this, but I saw it, and he got up and down with, you know, he could open that two iron up. It's just that kind of stuff. I can't imagine how many different ways he created a shot. How is he hitting it from his knees? That just seems. I know. He's a big drawing. He's rotating, pureed it. So he's clearly using these opportunities to refine himself, right? And those moments, he's coming back against you three and all that. Did you feel like you got better at baseball while playing against him? You know, I learned, I learned so much. We would have these inter competitions I'd have.

"Now what I remember during that stretch is he would hit a shot and I was playing with him and Mark o'meara and he'd hit a shot and he would go 6 feet from the pen and he goes called over Marissa. Look at this. Look at that. Now he had nothing to do with where they had bought it up. He goes, that's just talent. If that continues, I'm in trouble. And he was talking about his divot pattern, where the club was coming through and I'm going, yeah, you were really in trouble. You hit it 6 feet, but then I realized that next level for them and how they translate under the gun, what they're trying to do. And I played with him and Annika at the same time when Anika was the first time she ever played with Tiger. Truly the greatest round of golf I've ever been part of. Where was that? That was at a worth. She was getting ready to play on the men's tour play. I think in Memphis. So she was nervous and rightfully so you're playing, I mean, two number ones in the world. And so he told me. He told me the night before and he says, we're playing with Annika. And I said, all right, you know, don't make a big deal. But I think I'm gonna beat her straight up. And he goes, all right, so we get out there and they both tee off and I'm ready to pull it back and he goes, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow. Oh God. I'll bet you Annika beach is straight up right now. Call me right on the carpet. But fortunately that round I did, I beat her. Hey. I didn't say a word. She said something, it got out and next thing you know, it was like baseball was secondary. I'd beat Annika. Well, the next time we played chic waxed us. Oh man. Talk trash and want all the skin. So she definitely was a treat to play with as well as tight. So I was recently reading about you got a call from Tiger a few Sundays before the masters. Yeah. I was in spring training, called me up, you know, he wanted to always hit against me, which he did. We did a simulation game where, you know, I was trying to get ready. Nobody was there at the stadium and he hit off me and he did what he did. He wanted to see everything and he got a little mad when he realized I was trying to lay it in there for him because, you know, it'd be like me trying to go to Augusta and qualify. I mean, he's a great athlete. He handles the bat. But this particular day he calls me and he says, we're going to go to Augusta. I'll pick you up at 6 a.m. and I'll have you back by 3 p.m.. Can you do it? I'm like, man, I'm in string training, can you give me a day, I don't think I can do it, but let me ask my manager. Well, I him and hot and went into the locker room and finally went into Bobby's office and said I totally get it. I got to is on Sunday. I said, I got it all. Really kind of an off day Sunday. Here's the deal. If you say no, I get it, and he said, I'll see you Monday. And I was blown away. So the part of the story that got a little crazy was I couldn't find his FBO. It was foggy, and I couldn't, I was like 20 minutes late. And I'm on the horn, just trying to figure out where his plane is. We get there, we land, couldn't hit any balls, had to go right to the first tee. And because you guys are a little late. Yeah, 'cause I was late.

"Hard to stick with working out. That's true. Really hard. I don't know if I've ever seen a show that is more encompassing of that. People are looking at this on YouTube. Yeah, and traveling definitely makes it harder. I know that I've been on kind of like a workout kick. I've been getting my heart moving. I'm sweating and playing pickleball. I'm riding the peloton. I'm doing peloton workouts. I'm doing all these types of things, and then like you come to you come to a place like this, Hilton or vacations tournament, and you're staying in the hotel, and you know that that gym is filled with athletes and celebrities, 'cause it's a celebrity pro am. And I don't want to go there. I'm like, I'm very, I'm very like my head on my back. You're intimidated. I'm intimidated. I'm embarrassed. I'm not going to go. That's a good reason. That's the reason I'm not going to go now. Right, I don't want to be working out next to you. I'm also very insane. So peloton is something to me. It's like it's in my room. I'm in the confines of my own home. I can wear whatever I want. I can look at ridiculous as I can. I'm panting. I'm out of breath. I'm screaming. I'm cursing the person out. That's supposed to be helping me on the other side of the screen. I love it for that reason. I really do. That's a great point, because that's one of the main blockades for people going to the gym or going to work out is because you're embarrassed you don't want to go and other people are working out and they've been doing it more and they're into it and you're trying to get into it. Everyone knows what what peloton makes bikes, but they are so much more than just that. If you have not heard, they've got the different classes. I hear people talking about that. They're favorite instructors. I do the yoga classes with Christine. Wow. How nice is that? It's great. You throw on. It's actually great for when we're on the road and you can chromecast it. You put on like a 45 minute yoga situation on your TV in the hotel and you do yoga in your room. Kendall tool rocks my world on the fucking bike. She's a fuck. She's just goes fast and hard. It's crazy. I just can't keep up with her. And then this guy Jermaine Johnson fucking puts me in a pretzel, man with a full body strength. Jermaine Johnson just puts my body in a fucking sleeper hold and says your mind today, daddy. And this body is not going anywhere unless it's going through me. I swear, I swear I can't do things he does. That's good. I like that you're calling out specific people because I know people like fall, not fall in love, but they really love the training. Get your main Johnson's awesome. Yeah, right. He's just like, you're gonna do this now, and you're like, fuck. Resistance bands, heavy weights, medium weights. It's fucking fun though. I like the way I feel after it. Try peloton risk free with a 30 day home trial. Little frog in there. You got it. When you see my output, I think it's not compared to like Brock Nelson. New members only. Mine on a 30 minute ride was like a 175 output.

"And then the other thought process is we got a bunch of interviews. So on this show, people are going to hear more baseball than they've ever heard, but in an incredible format, we have John smoltz and we have Kevin Millar back to back. Smoltz has phenomenal stories about playing golf with Tiger Woods, how into other sports he is beyond baseball and then we get into pitching and man, when you get that guy going on pitching and on the little intricacies of it and his strategies and now the game now versus then. Hall of fame pitcher, starter, closer, World Series winner, braves, mets, everything about this guy is like, he's just a part of my childhood, Yankees, late 90s, 96, 97, 98, 99. They're playing the braves every single year. It was the back and forth. Braves win one, Yankees win three. It was fucking awesome to just be able to look across this little area we have set up here and just see that the guy from TV when I was younger who got me into like, he was a part of why I'm in sports so much. That whole rivalry when I'm 7, 8, 9, ten, 11 years old. Fuck man, listen to him tell stories was awesome. I don't think I'm ever gonna get used to interviewing guys like that. Like if I was getting used to it, it would have happened by now because we've interviewed so many people, but when John smoltz will sit across from you, I'm with you like Frankie that. I grew up watching those teams play the braves were motherfuckers in the 90s. And he's just sitting right there and I'm still giddy about it. I don't think I'll ever get used to it. It's very strange. Sorry, I was distracted by Jake bass and just horrible texts in the middle of us trying to do a show. They were doing the show and he said breaking news and it's just wasn't breaking news at all. It was just like something stupid, but it's just a classic again. No one's ever more confidently right and then turns out to be wrong about anything. Jake bass. Trying to record the show. And then we got other important things coming. So I will say, if you're not sticking around for this interview, you're fucking it, 'cause at one point he dropped, you know, I played with Tiger 40, 35, 40 times. I mean, anyone that can say that. More than most professional golfers ever. He's legitimately good pals with Tiger, and he stores her insane. And he had a front row seat to peak Tiger. This wasn't just, oh, they became friends in the last 5 years. He was friends with Tiger in 2000 between 2002 1009 when he was on top of the world. All time, all time storage from him by playing a tire. And then he starts chirping, Kevin Miller, who's getting ready to go on about them facing each other and then Kevin and him talking about no offense, Frankie. Him telling about the socks, breaking the curse, coming back from three O and that entire saga and what that meant and to be on it was, I mean, it was spine too.

"I don't know why it took him this long. If a basketball novice like me, as soon as they sign him, I said, haven't come off the bench. Don't even start, haven't come off the bench. Let him feel more important than what he really is. Instead of, hey, I'm going to be in the starting lineup here. I don't want you in the starting lineup. You can be off the bench and you can be helter skelter. Go out there and just go. Yeah. Yeah, we don't care. We already know that you're 6 four from UCLA. We don't need them to announce that you're introduction. Just ball. And it guard. 6 four guard out of UCLA Russell Esper junior the third. You know, I've been on a crusade for years now. And we had the commissioner of the NBA on and here is, well, I asked him about why are players allowed to carry the ball now more than ever? It's a tough call to make, first of all, I think it may be that the rule needs to be changed because the way the rule is now written is that you can't put your hand under the ball completely under the ball or bring it to a pause. I think in some cases, if you really broke it down, the players hand is actually on the side of the ball, not under the ball, and that crossover happens so quickly, and there's no pause. I'm not sure it technically.

Let's see the Astros are the first team all time to score the first 5 runs of a game in three different games of a single World Series. Bryce Harper, the first reigning MVP with a stolen base in the World Series since Jose canseco gained four of the 1989 World Series. "Here comes that what stat of the day? He had to reinvent himself after he got injured, but 55 says in 2002. The only other pitch who comes close to a similar career arc would be Dennis eckersley, eckersley was a good starting pitcher, then became one of the great relievers of all time, but John smoltz, one of three players to have both a 20 win season and a 40 plus season on his resume, smoltz did the 40 plus saves three different times. O two O three O four. Derek Lowe, 21 wins, 2002, 42 saves in 2000, Dennis eckersley, 20 wins in 1978, had at least 40 saves 1988, 1990, 1991, 1992. I also had a question for you. And it's not rhetorical, but it may sound like that. Are the seahawks is the Seahawks giants game this weekend, the one game that has two winning teams facing each other? Does that, I don't know if that sounds crazy or not. I mean, it's crazy those are both teams winning records. Yes. How many matchups this weekend have teams with winning records facing one another? You're right, giant Seahawks. If I would have said, hey, week 8, they're going to be there's one game. You must see. Must see. Oh man. Dang, that's ugly. The Seahawks are feeling themselves right now with the whole genome. Pete Carroll. Yeah, you guys thought we were crazy. He might still be crazy. Oh, you know, you might be ugly as commander's colts. Ew. One quarterback has never taken, I don't think he's throwing a pass in the NFL. Sam ellinger. Yeah. Commanders, they could pick up one here. You know, not for nothing, but it's not like raiders saints is anything to write home about either though. That's crazy to say. I know. Not exactly. Well, I mean, you do have the packers against the bill. So you do have star power there, and two great franchises, but yeah, kind of sparse when it comes to interesting matchup. It's just such a weird season. It really has been.

So i'm assuming pitchers are just putting it away to bring it back as a former pitcher john. What would you be doing if you were using it. Well i think the biggest thing is that the information that's come out and the timing that they gave the pitchers you should be able to know how to this without it especially in the summer and i think every pitcher that's elite pitcher will learn how to get around that aspects of okay. This probably went too far and the rosin in sweat in the the ability to go to your mouth in create some saliva is there for the pitcher now. The challenge will be of course the is the gets cold out. You know the in at the end of the year. But i think once they understand that they don't have to have you know it's kind of like a psychological thing that in the summer you don't really need. You're going to see pitchers return back to the elite. Pictures will return back to their form because it won't be this red record conversation. We're having because they need this to pitch now. It might hurt some french pitchers or pitchers who have been able to excel. Because of it they're gonna have to learn differently. And that's where you're gonna see offense balance be a little bit better and i think that's what you've seen with hitters being a little more confident that you're not seeing kind of revolutions. Rpm's that they were before when you doctored the baseball. How did you do it on when i doctored a cia wish. I could've doctor today. All the bullfrog was the only way with ross area. Where if baseball next year can get to a common ground to wherever i think. They're working on substance that work for everybody because no hitter wants to know that a picture doesn't have control baseball see. It went from being able to control the baseball to be able to do things. go baseball. have been done before in our you know and i think that's the balance that's the argument and interest will not complain if you have control the baseball where they think it takes it to. The next level is when the backspin and the spin rate. It's to an all time high. And i think that's where they say. Okay that's crossing the line so back in the day when we couldn't go to our mouth so you're pitching colorado with some of my worst feelings in the world or i pitched in cleveland. I had no way of getting grip on the baseball and myself. My performance supper. It really did. And so from the from the moment it gap below forty..

"Athletes. That's first time you had athlete. A singular athlete empowered. It felt like they took control. They took control of the message. And lebron did that. Now also you get guys my age. You probably don't like athletes when they control the message but lebron did that owned the show. They help produce the show and he gave us the decision. So what else is so bad about that that. That's what i'd be curious about. But no i i look. I'm defensive with lebron because what he's done. I don't think you'll ever get enough credit because when you lose in the nba finals. Well that makes you bum. And he took some of the at least one of the worst teams that will ever play an nba championship and could easily in my opinion. Been the mvp in a losing effort. I really believe that a couple of years ago against golden state. I think he could have been the. Mvp we'll we'll switch gear switch sports He's john smoltz the emmy award winning outstanding sports event analyst. And let me before we get to all of that. I'm watching the golf tournament this weekend. American century and my boy. John smoltz's ledin and i thought. Well that's great. John's gonna win and then he's gonna go he's gonna be hosting the all star game and then you lose to vinny del negro. How nervous were you pitched in a world series How nervous were you compared to how you were on sunday in the last couple of holes there so it wasn't nerves that got me. I felt great in a baseball game. Of course golf is different story. So you know in some of the tournaments that i played in the nerves worse in golf unfortunately in this tournament i i had lost my swing. So there's it's a worst scenario the nerves like it isn't the nerves that lost my swing. I just lost the fundamentals of my swing. And when you do that and golf you're like hanging out. And so i felt like there was nowhere to go lick in baseball. By lost my fastball. I have my slider at my split or vice versa in golf. If you lose your swing you're basically you're you're You're trying to figure out how you're going to get the ball in the hole. So i i definitely was battling last round. I wished i would have had a better a better swing though but i gotta give vinnie all the credit because he played great that last night that last day in an you know the story about im- losing his dad and not telling anybody in and winning the tournament was something pretty incredible. You needed leo mazzone. I think to help you out there. Come come out to the mound and and but explain how you losers swing well golf like i'm not connected mechanically like i wasn't based on. Yeah you get a reminder in baseball come out. Say hey do this in greg olson. My caddie was great and trying to get me through the round..

"Dirty nearly unwatchable or tiny. Wasn't i would've turned it off. And i'm with you. The split screens done poorly and should have had a camera behind home plate Why don't implement a launch monitor. Similar that they have in the pga tour. Yeah i i think that would be fun to but they were trying to speed up the process and i think in the process they kind of they took away from what these home runs. I mean these are supposed to be majestic home runs. And you just assume that you know when i would watch somebody swing. I didn't know where it was landing. And i would just go okay. I guess that's homerun and chris berman whether you liked him or not. You know. Chris still was definitive. Like you knew right away. You know he'd he would yell out. Gone a inlet. Carl ravitch's different than chris berman raby. There's more understated and how he was going to call it last night but given the split screen that we didn't see where they landed. I would have liked a little bit more of an emphasis on that. You're gonna i don't even wear it landed. And that's where i you tune in to see how far not how many as much as how far dean in washington nadine..

"The poll question and the results from the first hour. Would you rather see team. Usa play close games and possibly lose or roll through the field. Six four percent want to see close games. I wanna see close games and whether we want to or not. It seems like that's what we're going to see until the final team the final roster is Going to be brought together after the nba finals. Because you got a few players who are playing in the nba finals right now but losing to australia last night and then argentina is next up just an exhibition. But judging from gregg popovich reaction to a reporter's question got got a little salty with joe. Vardon and joe will join us. We'll that exchange for you coming up. And i want to tell everybody to calm down when it comes to team. Usa you lose to nigeria. And then you lose to australia. Last night there exhibitions and it is worth pointing out that. This team is in fully formed yet. Some of the players still plane. But it's a wakeup call and it's an entertainment wakeup call as well. Because i would not have watched that game last night except for mclovin gave me a heads up and said hey team. Usa is losing to australia. I did say to him what sport because i was thinking wait team. Usa playing again and they're losing. I'll watch tonight watch a little bit back and forth with the all star game. Nba finals resumes on wednesday night. But you know every country seems to have a handful of nba players now and you know you got teams team. Usa used to be bigger and more athletic naked. Play defense they can get out on the break in run now. I don't think there's any reason to panic yet. Because the team is gonna look a lot different when it gets to tokyo but it just a subtle reminder team. Usa is going to actually have to work to win a gold medal this year. Yeah mclovin and australia. If they had ben simmons to if i don't know if that would be good or bad but he's not even playing there like it's going to be a tight field. There's a lot of good players. Well ben would help them now. They may not need him or one him now but yeah i mean come on. He's still one of the top twenty players in the nba. This is a total fantasy but people were joking on twitter. Is lebron james going to come into space. jam said. How much could they use. Lebron steph curry jimmy butler feel like you need the older players to come in with some experience. Well as i mentioned in the first hour if this had been lebron's team last night that had lost these two games he would be getting roughed up. You know we forget like we pick and choose when we want to recognize kevin durant as the best player the game and you know when he wins. Then we're like oh my god. Kevin durant the best player in the game when he loses. We don't go man. Kevin durant laws. Lebron it's every single game is a referendum on his legacy and look..
