Nathan, Karen, we will have more on markets ahead of the jobs report in just a moment, but we begin with major news on the the political front. The New York Times is reporting former President Donald Trump may have shared potentially sensitive information regarding U. S nuclear submarines. Bloomberg's Ed Baxter has the story. The shared information reportedly included how many nuclear warheads U. S submarines carry and how close a Russian they can submarine get to without being detected. Part of a conversation after Trump left office at Mar -a -Lago with Australian businessman Anthony Pratt, who runs one of the world's largest cardboard companies. The report says special counsel Jack Smith has reviewed the claims. A Trump spokesperson says the DOJ should looking be into criminal leaking instead of perpetrating baseless witch hunts. Baxter, I'm Ed Bloomberg Radio. All right, Ed. Thank you. While former President Trump faces this new accusation, he's even getting more involved in a speakership fight on Capitol Hill. Trump is endorsing Congressman Jim Jordan over Steve Scalise, calling him a star on his truth social account. A fellow conservative, Republican Congressman Byron Donalds of Florida says he supports Jordan, too. Jim Jordan can step right into spot, that top leadership lead our conference and get us back focused on not just doing the appropriations process, but also the accountability of this administration and the Democrats up here on Capitol Hill. Number two, Jim Jordan has been in the center of our political battles for quite some times. He knows the pitfalls. Congressman Byron Donalds spoke with Joe Matthew and Ann Marie Hoarderne on Balance of Power. Catch the show weekdays 5 at p .m. Eastern on Bloomberg Television. Turning to the White House Karen, President Biden may be getting closer to firming a up meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping next month. Sources tell Bloomberg both the U .S. and China have been scouting sites two where leaders the could get together at next month's APEC summit in San Francisco. President Xi hasn't sat face to face with President Biden since the G20 in Bali, Indonesia last November. Turning to the economy now, Wall Nathan Street is racing for the September jobs report. Economists expect the data to show employers added 170 thousand workers to payrolls last month and we get a preview from Bloomberg's Michael McKee. It's not what the Fed does to or a lesser extent what it says, it's how the market reacts to the September payrolls report that will matter. Bond yields have leaped upwards in the past few weeks tightening financial conditions and raising recession worries. Bloomberg The economists consensus forecast calls for slower job growth but Wall Street's whisper numbers suggest traders are positioned for a strong payrolls report. It may be a classic case of good news being bad news for the markets and the Fed trying to slow labor demand to keep inflation in check. Michael McKee, Bloomberg News. Mike, thank you. Be sure to stay with Bloomberg for the jobs numbers coming at 830 Now Wall if Street the time. labor market and inflation continue to cool, San Francisco Fed President Mary Daley says policy makers could hold interest rates. Daley spoke with Bloomberg's Lisa Abramowitz at the Economic Club of New York. If we continue to see a cooling labor market and inflation heading back to our target, we can hold interest rates steady and let the effects of policy continue to work. Even if we hold rates steady exactly where they are today, policy is going to grow increasingly more restrictive as inflation expectations fall. And you can hear the full conversation with San Francisco Fed President Mary Daley on the global banking turmoil in March as sell -off in treasuries pushed up risk premiums on concerns interest they stay higher for longer. Oil is also on course for its worst week since March. Karen concerns over the global economy clouded the demand outlook. Commodities have been rocked by gains in the dollar and a surge in bond yields and checking Now prices. NYMEX crude is at $82 .24 a barrel. While we may be on the verge of a huge deal in the oil industry, Bloomberg has learned ExxonMobil is in talks to acquire pioneer natural resources. We get more from Bloomberg Energy reporter Anthony Di Paola. Oil companies like Exxon are flush with cash and they're looking for a place because of ESG concerns, so this is a good use of cash. And that's Bloomberg Energy reporter Anthony Di Paola says who if the deal is completed it would be ExxonMobil's biggest since 1999. The Wall Street Journal says the transaction may be worth as much as $60 billion. Now to the latest developments in the Sam Bankman free trial Karen, two of the closest friends of the FTX co -founder took the stand. Bloomberg legal reporter Ava Bennie -Morrison says one was another FTX founder and Bankman Fried's math camp buddy Gary Wong. He walked into the court, he didn't make eye contact with Sam. He sat in the witness box and was speaking very quickly. You could tell he was a little bit nervous. He said that yes he committed a financial crime with Bankman Fried. He altered the code that allowed Alameda to borrow billions of dollars from FTX and hid it from the public. And Bloomberg's Ava Bennie -Morrison says an MIT classmate also testified Bankman Fried confided about a potential $8 billion shortfall at FTX from loans to Alameda five months before both companies collapsed. And breaking news, Nathan, the Nobel Peace Prize has awarded been to imprisoned activist Nargis Mohammadi for fighting oppression of women in Iran. Futures this morning are little change. I'm Amy Morris, Bloomberg Radio. All right, Amy, thank you. We're also following reaction to the second Republican presidential debate. Seven candidates took the stage at the Reagan Presidential Library hosted by Fox Business. The auto workers strike a was prominent theme with front runner Donald Trump rallying workers in Michigan instead of taking part. The entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy had some advice for the United Auto Workers. I would say go pick it in front of the White House in Washington DC. That's really where the protest needs to be. Disastrous economic policies that have driven up prices, that have driven up interest rates and mortgage rates, at the same time wages remaining The stagnant. candidates also The took more aim at the front runner including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Donald Trump is missing in action. He should be on this stage tonight. He owes it to you to defend his record where they added 7 .8 trillion to the debt. That set the stage for the inflation that we have The now. candidates also called for tougher border enforcement and a harder line on China. But they were split supporting on Ukraine. Senator Tim Scott argued to continue funding. Our national vital interest is in degrading the Russian military and at one point the moderators asked which candidate they choose to vote off the island. All seven refused to answer. Well Karen this was the second debate that Donald Trump chose to skip. During his day he was in Michigan and issued his support for the striking United Auto Workers. I side with the auto workers of America and with those who want to make America great again and I always will. Former President Trump's trip came a day after President Biden became the first sitting sitting president in US history to walk a picket line as he joined the United Auto Workers outside Detroit. Well Nathan in addition to Donald Trump another critic of Joe Biden has been Texas Governor Greg Abbott. He blames the administration's immigration policies for a crisis at the border. I will be endorsing the primary at the right time. That said I think that any Republican can beat Joe Biden. Joe Biden is more underwater than any president in history. He is disfavored even by people in the Democrat Party and by independents and of course Republicans. And Texas Governor Greg Abbott made the comments in an interview with Bloomberg at the full conversation on the Bloomberg talks podcast feed available wherever you get your podcasts. Well Karen another Texas resident is in the news this morning. Elon Musk and he's deepening his ties to the Pentagon with a new contract. Bloomberg's Ed Baxter has that story. This is Musk's deal first with the U .S. Space Force. The object provide customized satellite communications for the military under the company's star shield program. SpaceX is competing with 15 companies for 900 million dollars in work orders through 2028 as part of the low Earth orbit program as that's what incorporate the already existing starlink communication satellite network. Some senators have expressed concerns to the DOD that Musk could have a major impact on defense at a whim. Ed Baxter, Bloomberg Radio. Alright Ed, thanks. Well checking some stocks on the move this morning. Shares of micron technology down five percent. The chip maker is predicting a steeper loss than anticipated in the current quarter for micron and competitors it's been a brutal year. Personal computers and smartphone customers have slashed orders as they deal with lower demand and stockpiles of excess parts. Another mover this morning Karen is Peloton. Those shares are surging thirteen percent on news the fitness companies agreed to a five -year partnership with clothing company Lululemon. Lululemon will make athletic wear that Peloton will sell and Peloton's online classes will be offered to users of studio mirror. In Asia Nathan a developing story from one of China's property giants Evergrande and its units have suspended trading in their shares and Bloomberg's Brian Curtis has more from Hong Kong. No reason given for the fault. It comes a day after sources told us Evergrande's chairman Hui Ka Yan was taken away by police. Hui is said to be under residential surveillance. It comes at a delicate time for the big developer. Evergrande has scrapped key creditor meetings and revealed that it cannot issue new bonds. That's a setback to a planned structuring and would seem to suggest an existential crisis. In Hong Kong Brian Curtis Bloomberg radio. Thanks Brian here in the U .S. Apple's getting heat in early reviews of the new iPhone. Let's get the details from Bloomberg's John Tucker. Nathan, some of the first users of the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max say they're too hot to handle literally. The gripes have spread across Apple online forums and social media networks that the back or the side of the phone becomes hot to the touch while gaming or we're conducting a phone call or FaceTime chat. video Now for some users the issue is more prominent while the device is plugged into charge. Apple technical support staffers referred customers to an old support article on how to handle In New York I'm John Tucker Bloomberg Radio. Okay John, thanks. S &P and Dow futures down two -tenths of 1 NASDAQ % futures down three -tenths of 1%. And now it's time to take a look at some of the other stories making news in New York and around the world with Bloomberg's Michael Barr. Good morning Michael. Good Good morning, Nathan. A new disturbing discovery inside another New York City daycare center. NYPD officers executing a search warrant at a licensed in -home apartment daycare in East Harlem found ghost gun printing operation New York City mayor Eric Adams. This is a heartbreaking scenario thinking of that you're dropping your child off to a safe haven just to find out that it was a dangerous environment where someone was making a gun inside. Two minors and the resident of the apartment were arrested. The ghost gun discovery follows the fentanyl poisoning of four toddlers killing one in a Bronx daycare center

Good morning, I'm Nathan Hager and I'm Karen Moscow and S &P futures are little change this morning Dow features up to tenths of a percent or 68 points and NASDAQ futures down a tenth of a percent or 20 points Nathan Karen a strike is on in the auto industry union at midnight last night members of the United Auto Workers Union out walked of select plants run by Ford General Motors and Stellantis after their contract deadline passed union president Sean Fain says it's the first time they're striking all three Detroit automakers at the same time this strategy will keep the company's guessing it will give our national negotiators maximum leverage and flexibility and bargaining and if we need to go all out we will UAW's Sean Fain says they'll add more strike locations depending on how bargaining goes. General Motors CEO Mary Barra posted an online video to the workers saying she is still willing to negotiate in good faith nobody wins in a strike we all know that from hard experience a strike negatively impacts lives and communities. We have presented a historic offer that rewards you for being key to success our and a competitive advantage for GM. GM's Mary Barra says the automakers non -union competition will waste little time taking advantage of the work stoppage. Well Nathan the walkout at all three automakers at the same time is a new strategy by the UAW. We get more from Bloomberg Auto reporter Craig Trudell. It's really big and it's unprecedented. What we usually see from the union is that they sort of pick out one automaker to negotiate with and then use an agreement reached with that automaker as a sort of pattern, a form of pattern bargaining with the other two. In this case they've decided to strike all three companies at once which they have not done before. Bloomberg's Craig Trudell says the strategy is designed to cut production of popular vehicles while at the same time limiting the impact on the UAW's strike fund. Well Karen we have new developments this morning involving a different labor dispute. Hollywood's striking writers have agreed to resume negotiations with the movie and TV producers. Bloomberg's Ed Baxter has that story. The AMPTP representing the studio streaming services and production say the guild reached out asking for a meeting and that they had agreed. The strike has gone on for four and a half months issues over including pay, job security, and the big issue the use of artificial intelligence. Previous attempts to restart talks fell flat. A handful of meetings last month but nothing. The writers said they got a lecture on how good the studio's offer was. So no date set yet but a glimmer of hope for next week. In California I'm Ed Baxter Bloomberg radio. Alright Ed thanks. Well sticking with the entertainment industry there's new developments in the pursuit of ABC. Bloomberg News has learned a former comic turned media mogul is interested in buying the TV network from Disney and we get more from Bloomberg media reporter Chris Palmieri. We also have heard that Byron Allen who owns the Weather Channel and a bunch of other local stations has expressed interest as well. So we're far from a deal it seems. Disney seems to have trouble making up his mind whether he really wants to go forward with this but there are people interested. And Bloomberg's Chris Palmieri says Allen submitted a ten billion dollar offer to Disney to acquire ABC as well as local stations in FX the and National Geographic cable channels. Bloomberg's David Weston who used to be the president of ABC News says he is not surprised Disney CEO Bob Iger is exploring his options. When Bob gave that interview and said everything's on the table, everybody was like oh my goodness how could he say that? Well he wouldn't be doing his job if he weren't willing to consider everything because I think the turmoil and upset in the media business is just that profound and if you're a CEO you should be looking at all the options so it doesn't surprise me to look at it. And that's David Weston, the host of Bloomberg's Wall Street Week. Disney said that while it's considering strategic options for its traditional TV networks, no decisions about a sale have been made. Alright let's turn our attention now Karen to the biggest IPO of the year. Shares of chip designer Arm surged 65 % in their first day of trading. The company now has a market value of more than $65 billion. Arm's CEO Rene Haas tells us he's confident the company's growth will be sustained. We also have a very unique business model that gives us the ability to have a very very good vision in the future in terms of when people use our products. So, relative to our confidence in the outlook, we have a very very high confidence that the growth rate that we have talked about will be sustained. Rene Haas added Arm's open to the idea of a secondary listing in the UK. Well, Nathan, the success of the IPO Arm may be having ripple effects. The Wall Street Journal is reporting Instacart is preparing to raise the target price for its initial public offering next week to $28 to $30 a share. In Asia this morning, China's economy is showing signs of picking up steam. Industrial production and retail sales growth jumped in August from a year earlier. The improvement comes as the seller Jim Chanos says President Xi Jinping has put ideology over the nation's economy, and he tells Bloomberg that raising the risk to the rest of the world, or that raises the risk to the rest of the world if China's growth model falters. previous leaders since Deng Xiaoping really put economic growth first and foremost and with Xi Jinping I think it is more about party ideology and things like national defense it's a much more muscular China than we've seen in previous decades. And Jim Chanos says the Chinese market has been a terrible place for investors over the past decade. Straight ahead we have more global headlines plus a check of reports and this is Bloomberg. It is time now to take a look at some of the other stories making news in New York and around the world with Bloomberg's Michael Barr. Good morning Michael. Good morning Nathan. Authorities along tri -state area beaches are warning people of dangerous rip currents as Hurricane Lee spins out in the Atlantic. The system is weakening but the National Hurricane Center says that the expanding wind field of Lee will affect areas well away from the storm center. It's projected to make landfall tomorrow or Sunday in southeastern Maine and Nova Scotia is a tropical storm. That is reassuring news to Boston Mayor Michelle Wu.

So how did you choose? How did you out of all the possible other states? Why did you choose Tennessee? Uh, it's a state that still has three seasons, and it also has a superb, superb tax environment. Yes, they don't tax my attention and they don't have a state income tax when I go ahead and get another job. And that's not just means more money in my pocket in the long run. And what are you finding? Are you talking politics with your new neighbors? What are you finding in Tennessee conservatives, conservatives, and actually, it's kind of play the first neighborhood I met. You know, he was kinda tempted tiddly asking me and not, you know, he was he was very relieved to find out that another conservative had moved in next door to them. Because, yeah, What about your family? What about your family's reaction? Because that's you know, Maryland, Tennessee. That's a big shift. It's what it's considered just it's basically a like a two thirds of the day drive to get back and forth. No, but I mean culturally. It's a big shift. Oh, yes, it is definitely a big shift. My family supported the move. They said You were going to miss you, but we understand your reasons for it. And who knows? Maybe we'll come join you. I could be like the test case. All right, We'll evaluate things. At least. Now. We know when it's John from Tennessee who it is. Thank you for the update. But we have to save every single state. And that's why we opened the show with Larry Elder's amazing news from last night that he's running for the governorship of California because they got that weird system when you recall the governor and choose the next governor on the same voting slip. Let's support that man. The great sage from South Central. Thank you, John Sharon. Don't go anywhere. I'm Sebastian Gorka. This is America, first on the Salem radio Network. "Interesting jay. Go ahead and give him a- give him a call so it could get into mid alaska's lacrosse questions. I got questions euros question questions. Ask both the Maybe we change those footy. Lines monitor have talked to john about it. I got help us out. I got a. I got a question about bad beat refunds as well. Yeah there's no there's a the fine bad beat you know joining us now on the phone one of if not our best guest ever friend of the show head. Bookmaker at faneuil sportsbook john. Sharon welcome back the hammer dodd. Is it going guys john today. Grace all the better for hearing that introduction. Hey when you're like when you're doing your thing all eighteen of those computers on behind you and you just using their coding. Yeah we all pretty much of a similar setup to be honest not much going on at one time that we need like fifteen screens and three keyboards to keep on top of it all. Hey i don't know if you if this is your department. Because i am one of your colleagues is in our office today and i asked him and he said it's a team. The bad beat refunds. Like when i get when it happens when like there's a bad call or something like that and it's terrible but like an injury like i believe you guys refunded james harden props when he got injured in game one and then things like rahm is a little bit different but the injury like the james harden one are we wear. That's potentially a slippery slope as far as p players getting injured and then refunding bets I don't think so. I mean look we want to try and have a better have a lot of confidence when they're bashing hopefully that's which find deal and you know i think when players like james harden who's obviously very very high profile and incredible forum and taking a lot of action. You know when you don't feel like you had a fair opportunity a winning your bash You know. I don't think it's a bad thing that bookmakers have There is for you and allow you the opportunity to slide credit and another stab. Yeah because you know what the sites credit they still. They still got a win. They get that that's correct. They gonna turn it over once into cash so yeah look. I think it's actively a free bad. It's good marketing from our side. It's good loyalty bills. A lot of trust between the better and the book mako you know what is historically a pretty adversarial relationship and i think it's good for everybody. I mean i can't believe the people are given out of other but with that being said you weren't great grading like can't lay a third round winner correct. I actually don't know about that to be honest. I didn't check and see what. We're the guys that i would i believe is withdrawal was after the conclusion of the turnaround. So as far as i'm aware it would be just rounded. I'd have to double check to be sure that makes sense. I was gonna ask with was since we're just on golf right now and the. Us open coming up. How is the handle for the golf majors excellence. Obviously we're missing tiger. There's definitely a tiger multiplier that goes in there for the big caps And unfortunately when he's not around gulf just isn't as mainstream but we've got a lot of young pretenders obviously carrying the torch forward and golf majors and golf in general is an opportunity for us to grow and put the sport in front a new betters in new orleans and a lot of room to grow our product offering. I think you know there's the day pretty soon where you're able to bet on a lot of elements of the game are cited just the standard ones that everyone's used to. Yeah there's a lot. There's a lot of products available that we talk about it every single week Going back to the nba. i know you're super pump. The knicks are out. Because i you guys had a huge liability on them. Is the money just pouring in on the nets to win the championship. Yeah mean it's an interesting conversation isn't that we we're having here today about whether or not this Nba championship is over already. The nets very clearly the front runners. I think we're about plus one. Oh five right now and yeah taking a lot of action but generally at that sort of price. We don't accu- accumulate that much exposure so they'll be a loser for us for sure they'll be in the top two or three abbott definitely not the scenario of the new york knicks. One hundred twenty five to one coming from nowhere and winning and costing us seven or eight million dollars by the time that series was over s he goes have the nets plus one five jazz. Plus fifty in the clippers or plus four eighty to win the championship in third those to play each other. So you had a favorite. You have the jazz as a favorite to win the series and you have them as the second best favorite to win the championship. So do you do you guys feel that. The jazz are the better team than the clippers. I think it's an interesting conversation. I think you know the part that they have is easier. They obviously have home court from the higher seating and I'm not entirely convinced. They're the they're the jazz are a better match up for the nets than the clippers will be. The clippers would represent a bigger challenge is just the part that they have means that they've got less probability of doing so. If i was betting the nets are would probably want the judge to to roll and beat the clippers and get them out of the way. I think the nets of too much firepower for the jazz even on a hot day. yeah. I agree john. Where are you from ireland. So are you invested in the euros. Invested depends on your definition. I guess is is ireland into euros. No i thought you meant by nine -cially hotel. No no no jeffers. yeah who. Who are you taking the most money in on that one john. I feel like most people will be betting on france hundred percent. Yeah franz by long long way for fondue. I think just looking at it here. We've got like two and a half x. the handle on france and we have on anybody else by firing away or worse results over double the worst the second worst result which will be portugal so france looked by firing away. The best team you know they in really good form right now Some of the top players the the talking trio that they have Pretty incredible between greece men And bobby and bensimon. I think Grysman scored again already today so yeah france obviously. The group is the challenge for them if they can get through germany and portugal in particular. Obviously franz going to.

"Tell night that it is in fact home coming home. I was just trying to read here. Because i saw no thanks. They conceded turkey's progress was assured. Great defense they conceded fewer goals than anybody except for the times. So these are the two teams that concede the schools. That's in the world to maybe go under one and a half. I think the actual lines tune f. If you look at us yeah but we went same game three and a half. Take three and a half. Because i got the i guess. I guess they'll chance i didn't ask. For what plus one eighty yeah. I really mobley's forum does not translate with the italian national team. We will find out yes if there was ever a time. It is now my friend today. About ten minutes. We got john sharon built maker of sandals sportsbook. Coming back on it was great. The first time you guys got you got questions. Yeah making you not call yourself a degenerate time. If you do ask question. they met. Yeah i do have another question. I it better not be about across. I don't have questioned anymore. It was about the cross. wasn't it. Yeah but this time. It was going to be about the p. l. l. and not college across. Okay okay there you go assuming they answered the same. Nobody gives a shit. You know who just pissed off the cross community because they are you feisty guy. Good luck with our and tony bunch of fucking lax bros Squad on funds. Oh yeah phones to fool baby. Phones are full-back. Their shout out a sat out. Mike's -partment by the way yeah pasta first goal. Yeah who else did he have. I don't know everything pretty islanders scoring head except on in the bees wind did not come in which take your shot spa. Sorry to win when you bet. And both sides well. They're both. They're both plus money Islanders reset it on this show yesterday. I think the plus fifty six plus one sixty two whatever it was the series has been too close for for new not to look at that value. What barry trotz continues to do on playoffs. Incredible absolutely incredible and in the haves had a had a pretty good one. I don't know why everyone like. I know how good colorado in vegas or but if you think you're just going to roll over and die because these are the two best from the regular season like halves plus one and a half game one will probably be close to even money against either one of these teams taking it. Yeah nets below the bucks last night. Bucks sorta met. You didn't see that one did not see that one comment. I kind of forgot that Kevin durant doesn't miss the basketball when he shoots they are. I'm not going to declare them dead dead yet. But they're potentially we'll see what they do one game at home see what they do on game home and then we'll we'll go from here. Thank the think again. They would fire boot and hausa rate now their regular season to honest guy. That'll be the question i'll offseason. It seems as if he is not gonna be. He's he's he's limited outside of the paint can't shoot free throws so can't really can't really with that Sons over nuggets Hey some some guy tried fucking fighting me. Because i said on patch show earlier. Sons are gonna win the series because the nuggets don't have that they're backorder shitty. I believe we're actual words. And he was very mad that i said that even though they are starting rivers and composite. Oh oh they got joey. Composites out there. Austin rivers and austin rivers. Who think was out of the league at some point this year. This is yeah. yeah backward. Doesn't stink dude. I'm sure they'll be finding chris. Paul and devon booker all series long. Chris paul looked healthy last night as well. Yet the the nuggets defense thoroughly game was swarming a little bit. Yeah and then you know. Cream to top d'andre athletic freak yoga just to find a team that can match up with the nets at this point at all. People said it would be maybe with box because they can fend. Sixers can defend. But it's got to be the clippers has to be within bead out too. Well hurt that teams. Don hawks are probably be was fine and game one. Yeah what do you have thirty nine. Thirty six yeah thanks. Simmons couldn't shoot the free throw again going back to the free throw point that same thing with the honest. So we're done here with a midst done here. I just i hate the seventy sixers. Please favorite basketball team to watch. I hate watching missed. Free throws especially when you bet on the team make free throws her in the nba. Bunt did you take the hawks tonight. Strictly because of You're very emotional. Better i feel like all right all right then. You talk the hawks for that reason. Yes i did. Take the hawks for that exact reason. Everybody is on the sixers tonight. Sixty one percent of the tickets. Seventy three percent of the money owed five and a half. It's up to six and a half in some places six and other. So if you want. The hawks. And i would wait. It's probably gonna move to six and a half if it hasn't already at your book And if you're taking the sixers probably take them now. I'm not gonna take the sixers for your. I don't trust them. I'm not touching it. I think i did take the hawks. I think i texted you. That i don't love it. It's not up yet. i don't love it but not points now. I said it's not on the board. I send it to you on board. I send it to going to take on the board and then the lake game. It was four clippers jazz three. Yeah it's down to three. Because my conley's out joey ingles dislodge right in there. We don't need i mean. Can we win a fucking jasmina arm. An anti clippers fan book in. Oh fuck the junior dude. Can we win. Game one clippers. Like let's let's put ourselves in a hole for once. So i did worry that. Like hey clippers played seven. Yeah hasn't been off a little bit but then on the other end jazz could be rusty. Yeah that's what the bucks looks like shit game in the bucks worst clippers. I got at four this morning. I think i'm going to stick with it. Yeah i feel like. They're in their playoff mode now. Hopefully hopefully i mean paul george. Can we get a game like a big game from paul. George would be nice quite do everything jazz minus one. Twenty six on the series clippers. Plus the number was different yesterday clippers. I believe are. They was minus one fifty for the jazz yesterday. Come down quite a bit Nets minus four sixty on the series where the nets win four. You got that on their. Es the nets to win enforce plus four fifty. Thank you gotta get that sign and five is plus through thirty can almost gonna take you want to six are still minus one. Forty hop on the hawks. Now telling you bottom. Now they're going to go to. Oh and they're gonna closing it at home. Four zero sweep. You might as well just take one as well that the sons are almost as big of a favorite in the series their minus four hundred as the nets are and there so it seems like vegas may be seen enough of that series.

Two locks go for so we have Karaoke cubs patrick. All with He did his match shamron in the last week and So the last two games. He's had three home runs against stanford and that. The i know you love the giants to shot out so i want to go ahead and also against san diego in chicago. He hit three home runs as well too. So i wanna go to five hundred. I put that in a in a three legged parlay I would put the joker thirty points. he He went ahead and winning his portland for thirty five points. Above in four out of five games as they closed out the trailblazers so honestly i think he's gonna put up points. There's no reason not to do it. And it's plus three sixty. What's hardly honestly i see brooklyn taking care of milwaukee. I don't see your guys as optimism with more at all. Like oh i i for for three or adult thought has been get delaware got. How's it going boys. What's up john. I'm not sure if you guys call game one between the sixers and the hulk. But i'm sick. And tired of disrespect towards joel. Embiid and philadelphia seventy sixers allies. Jones disrespect played great and might be the best player in the league. Currently well probably one with a fluke. Put all your money on on the philadelphian. Confide game another game in atlanta and trae young guy. Dan fraud you. Can't you can't just be a homer dude. That was most philadelphia. Call of all time and i respect. It can't just be home. Kennedy your home or dude. You know can't do it can't do it I'm saying jump on these now. Because i got on italy money liner and it's minus one ninety. This is for euros. Belgium money line over russia. I like that and money line over. Croatia never roads netherlands moneyline over ukraine and france draw notepad bad against germany minus one twenty-six good value. Though i hate going against german germany still really really not as they once were team. Verner stinks even though he is he wasn't. I don't know why that was like that tone. He wasn't the hurricanes favorite for the golden boot plus four. Ninety harry gold so yeah i think so have double chance for turkey which i also have the under three and a half in that one in turkey See this is. This is one of those ones. Where it's it sucks that you get your lay them you minus one year lane at you you know. Italy has to win by two. I took the. I took Wales double chance against sweats gareth. Bale one last round. He's retiring after euros. The ukraine double chance. And it's plus one twenty. Yeah you like the netherlands. Yeah like this another orlands squad. Jeannie walton all double chance. Gump is there. No push and soccer. What are you saw the way fan. Duel works met like other other places. We'll have like a teams favored by minus a half. So if they win by one then you're bet would win. Fan duel for soccer has plus one minus one and if it is one it is not a push you win or lose but you lose you lose mid off today sir. So they do have the double chance so that kind of infants it. Oh i've asked about it before. But i mean we can try again tomorrow. We do have John sharon fan sports. And maybe maybe we can ask him tomorrow. Maybe it's a little euro special. Yeah maybe just. "Every person in conduct and say have you seen. What do you think is the thing the most kentucky in have seen in the sect Let's see well. I think the corvette museum going through like bowling green no way. Yes i'd be the dinosaur above the corvette news on sixty five so mike let me put in a different way. Let me put a different way. What do you think is the i guess. When i mean is the thing that is either been visited. Stop that admired like not just passing on the road but like you know what is the thing that has made people just go. Okay there that is that maybe they stopped and looked at it. For how about cumberland falls or natural bridge going. I'll submit a vote for mammoth cave. Yeah but does anybody thinking about okay. So here's my thing about cumberland falls a natural bridge. You have to be like you have to be trying to go there like you can't you can't just that is one thing that the dinosaur world or even the corvette museum has going for. It is that you can just be passing by and go. Oh might stop not there. You would never go to natural bridge. How about the castle posted in between for sales in lexington though not take pictures well you know the castle rock castles. Not a bad one. Everybody notice like. I went years without even noticing corvette museum. What about would you say what about. Churchill down it's definitely would be wanted more people go visit churchill downs. It's kind of just tucked away in the neighborhood. Random neighborhood you just drive through neighborhood and oh there's churchill downs. I'm having a hard time coming up. One that you just pass by the dinosaur out here at dinosaur world can't be the dinosaurs and dinosaur world is it. Why can't it be put it on the flag. We'll just call it right now. It's our best attraction. Most viewed kentucky landmark. Who's going to challenge you on that. Nobody it's kind of like the arch for nashville trips. Yeah i don't know. I mean part of me wants to say that there's no way it is but it might be if you have a different one. Seven seven seven seven four five zero five four five zero two five seven one eighty on my way to the car. I did notice. Somebody wrote me and ask all of our opinions on the vegas over under four point five. Fm football wins. If you had to bet it would you bet over or under four and a half sec football winds through. I'll let you go first. Oh boy that was a very tough line. The i'm just optimistic this year. I might be wrong. But i would bet over. I wouldn't love it. I think four wins is the minimum. I think they got the four non conference in the. Sec wins eight. Wins minimum to have enough confidence. Thank you might get. I'm gonna say yeah. They're going to get nine. We'll just go through here missouri. I think that's a win. South carolina win win florida. I'm not willing to call that a win. Lsu home. i'll go win three georgia. No i'm not going to say. That's a win. mississippi state. go win their tennessee. Yeah and vendrell to win so yeah hammer the over on that. So here's high group it. I'm just assume for sake of argument. That georgia and florida okay. So now you're talking. Six bandy bandy is a definite win. And i think so now. You're talking about five games at matt. Miss we lose your. He hit a dead zone. They probably did. I went back there. But i you know what he was getting to. The missouri game is a huge game. I i feel good about south carolina. I feel good about tennessee. I think the question then becomes missouri mississippi state. Lsu can get two of them and that's what you have to ask yourself and so do you feel like you can get two of those three. I feel like they can know. Missouri is going to be strong. But you got it home right to lsu that games at home right. And then the mississippi state we we play mississippi state really well better usually when it's at their place. So why not. Plus you got i mean. Don't you agree when you look at it like that to those guys that missouri game in week two is the most important game of the year i think so they come out of the gate and stumbling lose that when they're playing catch up the rest of the year but if you get that one yeah now you can build on that momentum other offseason off out of conference game then you've got florida coming in. I think that by the biggest game of the season and i would say drew that. If you're ranking the sec's it's probably georgia. One florida two and kentucky and missouri are battling for three four which is another reason. Why so most of the pre-season stuff that's already come out athlete and things like that. They have missouri ahead of kentucky. But i think that's just that's a coin flip for most people missouri. Just finish the year strong last season. So people are pretty optimistic on them. But they're not. I don't think they're any better than kentucky. Anything i think kentucky's better but a lot of people have them third and you get that game at home. I mean the other thing. Is that a night game. At income. Stadium matt ryan. I think that's going to be when you consider the fact that we've had all this time being in her houses. Not having i think that kentucky missouri atmosphere could be like legendary. Yeah the you just say we're just chomping at the bit to get back to normalcy and you got this big important. Sec game right in week to the weather's going to be super nice. And i do think it'll be a fun environment to go to that night. All right. who's next. "Both on ebay and just in general. What would be your first word of advice. John to them ma. I word of advice is don't move too fast. Don't extend take it slow. Make sure your steps before you take them. Have a plan a three year plan least sharon. What would be your word of advice to that same seller. I guess i went to say. Make sure that everybody in your life is kind of behind you and supporting you and you saw something that you love because in the end if you have inventory leftover mike i do. I've got thousands of stamps and things. I'm a stamper. I loved to stay up so once. I retire and what doesn't sell to someone else. I'll be able to use it myself. Just helping him up. The biggest thing would be have fun. Yeah we have fun. Sure now's motto is. We're having fun and when it stops being fun will quit. We have a lot of fun and We share tasks and he concentrates on. What's good. what he's good at. And i do the same. Alice does the same on all put together. You know we make a good company south. Another thing i think is really really important is what you're not good at higher something to do it because while you're struggling with something that you don't like to do something that you're not good up you could be doing what you are good at and making lots of money to sustain you and the person that higher so that's kind of how we also started we. We had one time six or seven employees that were coming in go on at different times of the day very flexible schedule doing different things on our business than so. Yeah just make sure that you have your staff in place. An example of something. You don't like to do clean house. Yeah i mean there are people who love to clean house. I'm not one of them. Don't get me wrong. My house is clean and can't do it. I do but that and then the packing the shipping when we purchased the quickly pair company. I had to concentrate on designing hunt creating and so we needed someone in here. That could help with the packing the shipping so that i didn't have to do that and i could concentrate on what i do. John's great with finances and he pays the bills and he looks at the prices mixture. Our prices are in line with other people just throughout the day all day terrible with. It ms were. Sharon comes in a variety experience. A match made in heaven absolutely. Yep john and sharon. I want to thank you so much for joining us. Thanks ramses group is fantastic. Talking to you. Thank you so much john sharon wear sell on ebay and they had three stores which will put the links to in our transcript for this episode. One forty three also put a link to all the software that they use to manage their inventory. It's time for you got questions. Goudie which means it's also time for we got answers. So what's this week's first question rebecca. Well we have a question from rob that he sent to podcast at ebay dot com. Let's read this together. How about that. Because it's a little long though. It's a really good question. I'll start okay. Rob says hi griffin team. Thanks for all. The great information on items specifics both required and recommended that you shared on episode one. Forty one however i have a use case that i don't think i've heard mentioned. How should we be using items specifics. Specifically required ones when it comes to listing lots or bundles of items rather than specific individual items and rob continues for exam if i create a listing of multiple jazz cds which of the artist should be selected in the item specifics. That request performer. Even though each disk may be by different artists the same thing applies to release dates record publishing company cetera when the listing contains more than one item should we choose one of the items to quote unquote feature and focus details on that one and the other items become bonus items i often so groups of all sorts of media together books cds video games etc and i would like to be sure. I'm using the best practice. Thanks for your advice. Specifically yours rob herndon. Thanks for that. Rob so griff. What can rob specifically do in this case. Well it's interesting. Rebecca because when you're selling lots you don't wanna to focus just on one item in the lot because it could be a situation where people may be looking for lots that have the other items in it. And they're going to miss out on that. So it's a real conundrum. What are you gonna feature for these things to works. The best practice in a case like this is for you to bunch the items together as in his big groups as you can so for example. If you're going to sell a lot of cd's make sure. They're at the very least the same john. Ross of they're all jazz. Then at least you can have that as an item specific. That's gonna work for all but when it comes to titles and when it comes to specifics labels and everything else. That's just not going to be possible because we don't have that accommodation for lot what you're going to have to do. Rob is in for example. Titles you're going to have to put in your own custom title and it's going to be various artists. The same thing with any other of the items specifics that aren't shared by all of the items in the lot. That's further required specific title but for any recommended specifics. If one specific doesn't apply to all the items in the lot leave it blank so you have to fill in the ones that are required. I suggest saying various artists. Various labels various whatever that requirement is and when it comes for the recommended specifics. Unless they're shared like genre with the entire group of recordings or they're all cds. You can say that lead the rest of the blank. So i have a question. I understand that item specifics are about helping the search engine and helping buyers narrow down to the item that they're looking for through the search engine. Are there other ways to indicate to the search engine what artists or labels are years or whatever are in that lot of cds yes there is not very efficient. Some of them are old. You could put a list and you should put a list in your description of each of the items. That's in the law. In this case they're recordings you'd wanna put the artist and you'd wanna put. I don't know if you need to put the label. You might wanna put the album title or the cd title. So the artist in the cd title should be a list within your description. And i would say that in your title you wanna make sure that you use the word lot. I wouldn't use a lot of extraneous words. I'd say law and then i would say maybe there's two or three artists that are indicative of what's that are going to be the most popularly searched and i would use those in your title and then let the chips fall where they may. There used to be in a lot of our categories subcategories for wholesale lots for people who are selling bike. Rob's doing now but most of those are gone so you have to indicated in the title and you can also indicated in the item listing page When you're describing the item there is in the pricing and quantity section. There say box you can say that this is a lot and you want to check that because it's important for anyone who looks at the item to understand that when they make a purchase they're not gonna get to select one of the items that everything in that listing is one law for one price. Okay well thanks again rob. I hope that was helpful. And we're gonna send you an ebay for business. podcast mug. Remember if you submit a voicemail or an email question to either eight eight eight seven two three four six three oh my podcast at ebay dot com and we use it in an episode. We'll send you a podcast mug. Rob did that. So we already got him his address down and he's getting his mug so don't forget to include your shipping address. Whenever you email or.

"Facebook at ESPN. Chicago. This is ESPN 1000. Well, I don't know what these Saturdays air all about. You know the Blackhawks cancel practice today, Um, trying to Africa. It's a phrase. But abundance crash yes, abundance of caution and Because of the possibility of covert 19. They play Columbus again tomorrow night on that you Ai said the hockey show on earlier today. They announced it about 10 minutes later and earlier today. At nine o'clock and Saturdays you catch kind of late night with White socks weekly. And now reports are that the White Sox have Have decided. You know what we're gonna bring. Carlos wrote down back and s so he's coming back to assist the White Sox pitching staff. They need another guy that be a starter. Maybe probably not a guy out of the bullpen. Um, that didn't seem to work out very well. No, no, But you know what? Earlier in the week, the Cubs were apparently considering Carlos or don, Right, and from everything I saw on Twitter. Lot of cup fans were okay with that. Because, you know, buy low and hopefully you're gonna be able to sell. I have some point. Um Instant and and maybe tells you what the market is. They send back to the White Sox, right? Or just is it back to the what The conflict level is and he could go elsewhere. Maybe for a little bit more money. I'd rather be back with the team that didn't want him. I don't know how that works. But well, here's one of the things too, and when Carlos wrote down was pitching, we'll get toe get Theo football in the NBA comparison in a second, but Um A lot of pictures. Take a while to figure it out. And Carlos wrote down, has had some injuries. He's had shoulder and some other injuries throughout the course of the year. He's 28 years old. Okay, um I have no problem giving him another shot. I'd like to see him healthy for a complete spring training and going to a season because the last two years he hasn't been anywhere near that The White Sox not think about it. The sack start going into last year before Colvin. They had 10 guys that could possibly would be their starting rotation, including Michael Kolpack, and Carlos has been paid to tell me what Michael kopecks like the sheriff, you're gonna get through a year. I mean, right? We have no idea he decided not to play. Last year, so they had so many guys bringing in Geo Gonzalez and everybody else and you know, now bringing Carlos rode out if he if, in fact he's healthy and he come in and play and be healthy throughout spring training. Nothing. Maybe maybe less pressure. And I hate you know, boy, right? If that's really consideration, now they're just said that maybe you're a little concerned about the makeup of the guy. Look, if you're not if you don't have to be one or one day anymore, but he was years ago. Everyone's waiting, You know the expectations of being drafted so high and everything else. Maybe if you could just kind of go through own pace and fit in and not, you know. Feel that it Zetter for him, But, you know, obviously. Aside from the health, that was an issue for him, right? Yeah, boy, There was always that one inning, right where he just blew up. Well, he was He was a White Sox first round pick back in 2014, and in 2017. He went down with shoulder surgery took about 6 to 8 months. And you know they have no idea what he was going to come back and that he didn't come back and they worked him up. But, you know, in the in the camp while the rest of the season was going out and had him come up with the White Sox last year, did things they might not go well using him out of the bullpen. You know, maybe this time, they'll just explain to him. Listen, We may need you out of the bullpen. Make sure your wife doesn't tweet. Anything about how you're not how you're not a reliever on your starter, Video. It would be nice sometimes, if people would know not to tweet about their spouses. That's always a good thing usually gets in trouble. Yeah, I told the story the other day and my most you people listen. No. My wife passed away in October of 2019. But one day we were done. We were walking down Rush Street and one of our bosses at the time. When I was working part time in a couple days on weekends and things like that. We ran into him. We're talking and he said Man is really great have in front of the station this this business and my wife said. I once said it would be great if you could get more hours. Yeah, well, look, I know she's not your biggest fan. Exactly. She was just looking out for me. I guess. You know, you know the opportunity was there? Yeah, hopefully uncomfortable right in front of you. Hopefully she's laughing about it now and, uh, yeah, anyway. But yes, sometimes you know you just you and she basically said what I was thinking Just well, sure you got to do better not to say it. But anyway, so just four hours, uh, a little bit. But it was it was nice. It was it worked out to get invited. Wattles Super Bowl party, So yeah, well, you know, it was funny, too, because I was listening to black and a dollar yesterday, saying when they're you know, for for the years they worked here. I never got invited to waddles party because they're rather paint on my list and And I was just laughing about that. That was quite funny.
