"Practicing the song is really hard. I mean i got the. I got the wire works going right now. Just thinking of the song. And i talked to one of my girls in my previous groups. We were just kind of connecting and seeing how she was doing and i told her i was going to put the song in there in my new album and she shared with me that even she had she's been through many of the saul and she's gone through counseling and she loves the lord and stuff. She doubts that jesus loves her because she fails every day. But i fail time I just think that this this song would be a great addition just for her sake she just does love you even though you don't you don't feel like he loves you. You've messed up your loan. It he he does still love you so is another song. Start all over again and and just really impressed me right away. There are songs that i did. I hear for the first time in his like. Whoa the the lyrics. Go as long as you are breathing. You can start all over again. All of us that are in leaving abusive relationships. Were starting over again. I help people who are starting over again in my mentoring program. Why really really love song. It's a jazz tune 'em really interested in the the lyrics of the song which are awesome and it's basically acoustic guitar base of a song beautiful. We're the greatest songs. I think is going to be on this album. All the healing has begun in. I have. I have sung it before the only time that i have sung. It was at my previous church. They had the storytellers series. Acquire director Jesse young ask people who wanted to tell. Their story of struggle and halley overcame their struggles and she asked me tell my abuse story and i had never told anybody told anybody in public. Maya be a story and so matt cram like thirteen years of abuse in nine minutes. I'll which was not easy. But i'm reading from paperwork on my stand because i knew i was going to be emotional was i had to do it for both services. That early service in my and in the second service and it was it was really hard in my my dad and my stepmother came and it was a surprise. I didn't know that they were coming invited. All these people come in here my story and and saying gio is saying. Break these chains in the beginning in the nice saying the healing has begun after my story. I didn't know that my my dad. And my stepmom were coming. I did not know my friend julie and her family coming i sent mom brought my oldest brother who has now passed away to hear me. Tell my story. My voice definitely correct. I cried through one of them. I think it was first service. I cried singing and servers thing about her. And i think i'm not mistaken. I think that's the recording. Anyway you can hear me dumb. I story and seeing the healing has begun and we have an ensemble singing background vocals. Were sound really cool. Some really good. And i really really loved that song you know. That's part of my ministry is. The healing has begun. You carried the way of your secrets for way. Too long digging. If if if there is a place of forgiveness she don't belong. I mean if that is a my ministry. What is hurry is an awesome song. I'm going to do again my own version of the song. We'll have acquire back up though. Yeah that is definitely going to be on there. I want to do a christmas album. That might might be done after. I finished the healing concept album. Christmas songs i'd like to do is the candlelight. Carol which was written by. Hallelujah light has come rosa my church the church that i was out when i met my my husband brian here. The church put on a festival of light. Day would light the whole auditorium up with these strands thousands of strands of lights hanging across the ceiling and decorated for christmas a drama program and then music in intertwined in drama in. We'd actually did dancing. This was a baptist church to wasn't none of fundamental baptist church but it was. I think it's american baptists but we. We did some choreography in some of those songs. Nothing big because we. We had people with hip replacements. You know and we were on stairs. On cora lofts. So yeah those pretty fun though. Hallelulah has come was one of the songs that we saying. One year. I'd never heard of but they had us the choir singing the background and they had the trio singing You know the trio part in the song in and that was the scene where you know baby. "Bird's name because it was racially offensive, but it wasn't But that's not what they were saying. The word McCown is not a slur like the idea would be if if you know if, right, I mean, I know that's what we all go with the idea, right right right or words that are considered racial slurs, and they're racially offensive. But there have been a zillion McCown's. Was a couple of play quarterback in the NFL, I think And why are they body? You know where they beat shaming this bird? Now I know what the bill of what the bill of the bird ever do. What if he doesn't like to be called Sick? Builds your self conscious about the thickness of his bill? Seriously, some of us look, I know I have a girth. The bill, I got it. I understand. I know it's not a defining characteristic. I was just the way that God made me. I can't know you got a name. You gotta You gotta name me after it really? That's why I don't do I I don't identify as being thick billed my name gonna be fat bald from now on. I don't want that on like that. The that proposal, along with ongoing conversations about racial injustice inspired Maryland based or in theological lists. Sure or ornithologists or or NFL gos people. All right, bird birders, the burgers, the birth of their burgers, Sullenberger the burgers, John Rutter. And Gabriel Foley to dig deeper into the origins of the eponymous bird and the names the term for birds named after particular person, apparently more than 2000 bird species in North America. And another another. 149 had eponymous type names named after individuals, most of which were assigned by European and American naturalists in the 19th century at the height. Of colonialism and American westward expansion. What do they think that the birds got named this and then carried the racism with them through generations of birds, and I have got just a bunch of racist birds, flying around a number of those names and try and figures associated with slavery and white supremacy. And so for a bunch of individuals who want to go and and go the route of critical thinking they're not thinking very critically. Did not. That's not. That's not how this works. You wouldn't want to change the names. You'd want to have the names there. You'd want to be able to have the discussion. You want to be able to talk about those things of the past, right? And be able to identify them. So you don't repeat him later on. This is a This is a whitewashing of history as if to eradicate it from the history books in the minds of individuals in thinking that that's going to keep it from ever happening again. No, no, no, that's that's not how that's not how life works. It's not how people work. That's not how any of this works. Is that you stupid, utopian fantasy that these hard core leftist actually believe is a reality. No, that's just about their ability to want to keep in retain power. This is going to be abundantly harmful for generations. At least these guys I'm going to give the people in this article one of the names rudder and fully George Berger and Gabriel fully. I'm gonna give them a little bit of credit because they're taking their taking the next rational step so often gets ignored when we have these conversations. Which they're arguing. Let's just get rid of naming birds after people all together like whether or not they had anything negative associated with them, because that description, you know, calling something a McCown's long spur or a Hammond's flycatcher or a Bachman's warbler tells you nothing about the bird. That gives, you know Information's good, right? And I respect that. That's fine, like the bird was racist because you said, Right, right, like the bird itself was like the bird like the bird itself was like it was named after Macallan because he was a racist and that bird, right? Oh, my gosh. Is that bird ever the rate of this the most racist bird I've ever seen from? I don't know a lot about birds. But it does seem to me that most birds whatever species they are would be like If it's worse, they were talking about a cardinal right. Most birds tend to be like Cardinal supremacists like they really think that they're the best birth troop and they don't like other birds from other species. They in fact that oftentimes will fight them and shoo them away when they're in a place of abundance. Food or meeting potential, and they keep it very private groups they do. They're very tribal. They're very tribal, so maybe they are racist. Maybe we need to build like 15 more U S bank stadiums. They went all EPA Nim's removed. That's funny because naming birds after white people who discovered them is a fundamentally colonial practice, they say. It's not a company. They also argues white people, and it's not just birds. This is something that has been done throughout all countries and cultures for a very long time. They also argue that all of these historical figures are tied to colonialism, whether or not they directly engaged. In the subject. Gatien of the people of People of color. I don't think too many birds did that We cannot subjectively decide especially of the adjudicator's are white. That some names can be retained because they're associated with the abhorrent past than others. These are the people you want to give credit to these bodies. These guys take that back now. Rudder full a little a little all right near differently because they're taking that next step of Let's just get rid of all name burned in your defense. I like that. I can get behind. Get that Julia Thies Burgers, wrote an op ed that appeared in the Washington Post in August. We must remove all the bottom is Names. The stench of colonialism has saturated each of its participants and the honor an errand within their names must be revoked. Well, these burners of the most pinkies up Yahoo's I think I've seen in a long time they do to him and said Fuck seriously. Sanders doesn't get much for picking know. What do you do? I'm a bird. Watch my bird coming home. Murder's murder burner. E. Don't know if you're a bird watching. Don't at me, okay? I know I'm making a joke. Just kidding. You can at me, That's fine. You think he's up? I had only a handful of the bird names Don't don't commemorate Colonial figures. Oh, like classes cuckoo! The clubs are class cuckoo! Klaus. Cuckoo clocks. Cuckoo, for example, was named after Ah, member of the intention is people of a southwestern Africa by 18th century French or inthe ologists, Francoise. Whatever. While others are of unknown origin, Rudder and Foley. The burgers also cite the practical reason for removing the bird names right even hymns. As Drew said, Don't convey anything valuable information to help. The Observer identified.

"Thank you eight you know I'm it's it's been not thirty five years have been done since this first Christmas album and it's amazing that it's it's just gone on and on so long it's effect we have a fabulous fan base issue now absolutely like I think it all goes back to really great music I got to tell you the first time I heard your first album and listened to the orchestration and really the arrangement occurred to me and I hate to get kind of in deep in the weeds on this but the first thing that occurred to me was gosh this sounds like a John Rutter arrangement did you were you influenced by a did you know John Rutter at all yeah I'm no generator for five thirty five forty years and you know I was doing that I was doing that simultaneously that he was doing some different things so we actually teamed up and created a couple albums together using his Cambridge singers I went to England I met him actually here in Omaha where I live he was doing a workshop and we decided to hook up together thanks so I think I'm pulling together are you is fascinated with harmony and with orchestration as he appears to be well I grew up with I'm a third generation musician in my family and my dad was in the Glenn Miller band my mom played in the NBC symphony and you know I was I grew up around fabulous musicians that were very professional and had done a lot of things so my ears were full of all kinds of things as far as arranging my dad was a was a really good arranger more in the jazz genre my mom was more classical I also had two grandmothers were piano teacher so you know like I think I can buy pretty ugly I think you did too and you're you're always you always like to experiment not only with modern sounds but what's with some of the classics sounds that people just don't hear anymore yes absolutely in fact I have sort of a it's not an ex exactly a formula but you know be a classically trained and raise musician having gone to Michigan and involved in music education and all of those things I wanted to include classically influenced things that that you know the French horns in the string section and you know classical answers the piano the harpsichord but I also wanted to add into it drums bass and synthesizers thing that people they either did that or they did the classical well I wanted to go down the middle and do a little bit of both and that's I think what created on Amanda the roller I think it did too and you reinvented do you know some of the songs that we'd all been singing our entire lives yeah I can achieve that you know I'm I'm I brought some things like the deck the halls that what is the usual and so so that's you know that was a big turning point and not the a on the acceptance of that album the first album and then of course you know I'd like to have things well balanced so in the middle I devoted several pieces like for short pieces to the renaissance and played the Christmas carols in the style they would have been when they were originally written in around and then of course in the very end of the book and to the deck the halls was my version of Silent Night at the at the end yeah you know which kind of brings it all home that is it's haunting but it's also in chanting yeah the here in old city is that right that's correct and I got a story for about say we're playing with the Oklahoma seven describe in fifteen twenty years ago and we we were we're on are small what we had small jet act and planes and we were coming from doing a concert and we're in the van and everybody's having a beer or two on the way to the airport the airplane was I turned on the the stroke her flashing the whole day on the pilot for motion come on come on come on like what we got out if you'll get on a plane right now we were even in our seats were blasted not we got trees down the runway by a tornado this well it was it was kind of a welcome to the welcome to Oklahoma City that's what we're known for well you know I I'm I'm in Nebraska so we get because you get your share you sure do chip Davis of Mannheim steamroller celebrating its thirty fifth anniversary of his annual Christmas concert tour and it's the longest running consecutive concert tour in entertainment history and I know you've come to Oklahoma City on your concert tour before do you enjoy going to the different cities and and re introducing people to the music in person yeah I absolutely one I can you know at that during the time of the tours of course I have two of them out right now doing approximately a hundred cities between the two companies at the same time I'm at Universal Studios conducting the Grinch that stole Christmas I wrote the music for the Grinch on the current ratio that they run a universal so we've got sort of three versions I would get the tutoring companies and then I'm down at Universal Studios but I still enjoy doing all of it and when I can I go out and visit the tour she you know it if I usually try to get out to each touring company right one of the first concerts and then I had off the universal get back to some of the instrumentation because Tim Davis of Mannheim steamroller you introduced me this instrumentation I don't know that I'd ever heard before for instance if they're a boe I don't know that it ever heard if they're about until I heard on your music yeah it's a you know it's a that's an unusual sort of sound isn't it yeah yeah it's kind of a base how would you describe it I I bye bye managing a bass lute if you can imagine Scarborough fair but with the base yeah Hey you know what it are Robert version the A. V. receiver the singer on it right yeah yeah that's my my that was my little daughter she's fourteen them fantastic yeah she sang on Greensleeves on that album also so is she is she singing or does she also do instrumentation well she can do pretty much all all three of my kids can sit down and improvises piano or whatever and there also two of on my son and my youngest daughter the singer are a really good with guitar and and things like that as well so on it in there very well versed in and around the whole family I'm really proud of what they're doing as I was saying a lease was only fourteen when she did several fair and Greensleeves the different cuts on that album he's now twenty two and a junior college at Iowa state and so on this this coming weekend at universal all my kids will be down to see the show which I'm really thrilled they're going to get out of here again I imagine so chip Davis and Mannheim steamroller I think he and John Rutter will go down as our classical the classical musicians of our time and I thank you so much for your great work in bringing these great pieces of music back to us and a new way we haven't heard before well thank you so very much and I appreciate the opportunity to talk with you and I'd like to say in the early merry Christmas to all of your fans out there listening right now news sign him who sell shrugging off impeachment I'm the first person.

"The author of several historical books more documentary style books than anything but damn he is gonna be joining us a little later in the program on newsradio one thousand Katie okay and they're starting to chase their own out of the party some latest on what happened over the weekend with Democrats Robert writes Lee I wonder how many Democrats wanted to vote no for the impeachment enquiring house Judiciary Committee but change their vote to yes because of the higher level Democrats withheld their funding to their districts in other words vote yes for the for the for me for this impeachment in your district will receive funding but vote no say goodbye to the money talking about talk about quid pro quo exclamation exclamation Robert that was indeed going on especially in the volatile districts is like thirty one vulnerable districts all of them were invited out to San Francisco they were invited up Chicago they were invited to New York and a couple of other Democrat pockets and money was dangled in front of their faces our own Kendra horn received a two thousand dollar check personal check from Nancy Pelosi for her campaign a week before the vote was called on the inquire re now what I don't know is if that two thousand dollars was to pay for the vote to keep the enquiring going or the vote to keep the Enquirer going and the vote on impeachment I don't know that that's what I'm keeping a close eye on but yes the answer is yes it wasn't funds for their districts it was funds for their campaigns so that they can continue the ballot harvesting and all those other techniques that they used to win not only here in Oklahoma's fifth but the other thirty districts that are vulnerable for Democrats I still think it's gonna backfire even if Kendra votes no on impeachment I think voting to keep the inquire re going for me was enough anyway I don't know about you eight four one thousand Lee Mathews Katie okay dot com can writes a it took the Democrats six hundred fifty eight pages to say they couldn't create anything criminal against trump so they're trying to impeach him for not helping them to do so I haven't read it yet but I bet that pretty much sums it up can you don't want to read it because it's not going to tell you anything new and if you didn't hear that that drop like Saturday night into Sunday Democrats finally wrote up all of the the the the reasons they're doing this and it's basically the the official impeachment statement that they're gonna vote upon when it gets to the full house and was six hundred fifty eight pages two counts six hundred fifty eight pages now but I don't know is if the house is going to do like the Judiciary Committee did and divide it to where they're voting not just one up or down in Peter not impeach vote but on the two counts so they can vote on the one count and then on the other so that they can separate their vote if they wanted to so the candor horns of the world can say well I I voted I didn't vote for impeachment but I sure voted for contempt of our obstruction of Congress what they were both supposed to be impeachable offenses so I mean that may be one technique that is used it wouldn't surprise me in fact if that were the technique that was used and the excuse that was given by some of these vulnerable congressman show all rights I noticed they released it late at night hoping they could slip it by no I think they knew they were going to slip by but they sure didn't want any reporters talking about it at all and and that was what they call the document dump no doubt about that eight four one thousand Lee Mathews Katie okay dot com let's see tomorrow I've got Mannheim steamroller's chip Davis and he's going to tell me how he got chased out of Oklahoma by a tornado I'm going to ask him what his biggest inspiration is for all the great Christmas music that he does because I I have a ranger that I know by the name of John were I don't know him personally but I know a lot of them his name is John Rutter and I'm I'm I'm hearing so much influence of Mannheim steamroller from John Rutter and so I'm gonna ask chip Davis if that was his inspiration or if they've even work together at all because John Rogers one of those guys that likes to take traditional Christmas music and really re arrange it to where it's like you've not heard it before but at the same time keeping it's Jane keeping it genuine but that's tomorrow Brian Kilmeade a little later on a news radio one thousand Katie okay traffic and weather together and another one of my predictions has come true I'll get into that next newsradio one thousand Katie okay as reported sponsored by C.
