"When I say this, I don't mean it like you're dumb, but it's a stupid play. I don't mean it like you're done, but you know what I'm saying? I don't care what quarter it is. When you see somebody going that fast and jumping that hard and him coming from where he's coming from, that is an out of control, dangerous place. Because he's coming from so far behind and he's hustling so hard, you're likelihood of doing what you're actually trying to do is way off base because you just running out like a bat out of hell, this guy is running and he's loading up to really go up. So that impact is not good. It's out of control is wild as hell and it's unsafe. That's what we would call like, that's like somebody trying to just as bad would be him trying to run out of nowhere and take the charge. That's just as stupid because you have no chance of actually gonna clip in there and flip them off. You know what I'm saying? That's why I would say like when I was growing up we were saying that's the stupid play. Like, why would you do that? Like, you gonna hurt somebody like that. Like, you got no real chance of really making a great defensive play. Like it's everything that comes after what you're doing is about to be bad. That's what that's what we as players have seen over and over, and I guarantee you the guys on that bench was like, that was dumb as hell. Like, why would he do that? And that's where you get angry, and that's why I say I'm not going to say, when I say dumb and stupid, I don't mean like he's done this to a player. I'm like, that was a, that wasn't a smart play. Like you couldn't have thought. I said, winding up like that from that far back. You could like, okay, you hit him in the head, but he could have hit him in the whole body and just took him off. You know what I'm saying? You ain't likelihood of you doing what you're trying to do. It's not high. And he's no better than that. He's a valuable player. Him taking that risk of doing that ejecting them from the game and they already down one game at home to that. If John Renton go off of that, they need you out there to play your defense and do what you bring to the table. You know what I'm saying? Like I said, I wouldn't say he's a dirty player or that's just one. That one to play. And especially to me, this first quarter. You're so valuable. First quarter, you don't need to even get a foul in the first quarter because we need you all game. He's already got a layup. He's already got a layup. Nobody's down there with him. And this is where I say it's stupid because like you said, all right, forget about the ejection and him like, what about GP? He done. Fractured him, though like you just messed up my man like Steve kersey, this is a dude who's been trying to find his winning league. He get on the team. He's found his niche. This is his time to really, like you say how the time in his life you in a playoffs, you're getting crazy. You garden like the other team's best player. The impact player in the seat. And then this dumb ass play you make, you got my whole, it's over with for me, maybe. Because you just came to get a ridiculous play. That's crazy. Yeah. No, it's really sad for GP as well. For everything that Steve Kerr said afterward. The guys went bouncing around the league, he's 29, I think. Multiple teams finally found a niche, was having a great season. It's sad. All right, before I leave that topic, I just want to ask then. I agree with you, you guys. It's reckless, but not dirty. Dirty seems to imply something else dirty seems to imply intent. So where is the line? What crosses over into dirty or what qualifies as dirty? Need dirty would have been if he made that play and then he like, you know, like the opposite of what he did, he went to try and help him up with like if you did that and like show no remorse and like walk off smiling at him or something like that to me then it's dirt. Like if he's like looking at him while he's down and he don't care he got that fucked you on the phone. I wanted to get you good and whatever happened after that I didn't care. But the fact that he said it was simultaneous as he did it, he was like, oh, he knew that he did something bad. He tried like that's why I don't want to say he was dirty. It was a dirty messed up play, but I don't say, I don't think that was his intent. I don't think he's a dirty play. I think it just, it just happened that way because he was doing something that was reckless. Yeah. And I'm sure he regretted it immediately, but you got to know like you got to know in the moment you got to have that control. You got to know what you're doing. And I know everything's moving a thousand miles an hour, but as a player though, we've been in those situations and you've seen as a writer in a, you know, a beat where you've seen guys maybe, okay, just take the don't even take the swipe on this and just let them go because he's out of reach. No coach is going to yell at you for that or nothing because everybody is coherently knowing you can't do anything but something crazy here. You know what I'm saying? Age trying to say draymond is a dirty player. Draymond made sure that boy didn't hit his face on the ground. He did have let him go. He could have just let him go. And yank his arm away from and just let him hit his face. He made sure he then hit his face on the ground. Yeah, it was a hard file, but my thing, I make sure you ain't feeling to hit your face. If he really pulled him, it would his whole everything would have just crashed. His legs would have went over this face with him with that. Broke the fall and made it a little less like where he didn't get hurt. He could have hurt like that could have been a neck injury or anything and he really pulled him down face first like that. I thought draymond should have been a flagrant one, not a two. What did you guys think? One definitely thought it should have been a one. I'll definitely sitting together for it. Yeah. Yeah, it's interesting. I feel like the NBA, like these last few years, they're really trying to legislate out all this stuff, but they don't know where the line is themselves, and it feels like it moves around a lot. I don't want to say I was surprised given where things have been in the league the last couple of years. I wouldn't necessarily shocked. But I did think it was, it was overzealous by the officials, and I thought that would be downgraded the next day to a one, and they didn't. I was going to be down there. I was surprised that it did. That's a problem though, right? None of us know what you know. What's a one?.

"That's a good thing. Not a bad thing. I don't think we're going to matter that much. I don't know about. Memphis may not become a great team. But you know what I might get pretty good, pretty good players to drafts. John, Renton Jaren Jackson, some stuff to basketball fan. I wanna see on job Mirant play in summer league. We're going to have him on television here in another week or ten days. I'm excited to see them play. I don't know if they're teams are going to do much in the short term. I think that in Orleans, I'm putting it on. What is it? Put on wax the pelicans gonna make the play on. Oh. Eight the playoffs in a diminished Western Conference this. Don't forget, about Sacremento that a designer suit on that. Okay. Which designed? We need to know that we're gonna we're gonna make a bit of some kind. Discuss the stakes this up. You clean it up. See what you do. Even your shoes. I'm gonna will you assist the Zomba dressed man? We gotta find all the things that whoa, JR. Knows let's do that right now. Yeah. We'll tonight decided we're actually betting the designer of my sue which happens to be Steven Tyler today. But Agent Orange announced with me here. Your overall thoughts on the pelicans, and what David Griffin has done in this last week. He went there because he wanted a lot of control. He's made a lot happen. He has they were very fortunate to win the lottery to get Zion, because it opened up a lot of doors for them and gave them the confidence to go out and not do a tear down post Anthony Davis..

"That means we get to talk to some of the best analysts in the sport. One of those guys a good friend of this show. He's Jeff Goodman stadium on the college be killing it for years. And he joins us now, as we're in the first midwest Bank studio. Jeff. Good morning. How are you today? Buddy. What's up? How's everything for you, as you get ready for the Super Bowl tonight, you expect any curve balls in the top five picture. It's gonna play out pretty true to form well, Girvan center. The pelicans are gonna keep number four overall pick. And it really depends on who they traded to, you know, right now he wants to, you know, traded down somewhere that, you know, eight to twelve range, because it's not a lot of disparity from four to twelve and then add a player on a good contract, you know, guy like a Robert Covington for Minnesota. So he's talked to Minnesota about eleven and Covington, I don't know if that's going to happen. But something like that, where you can add a starter on a good contract trade down. I get perhaps another starter. Because again he's not in love with whether it's the hunter Jericho Culver. He's already got two point guards in your Holiday Inn Lonzo ball. So, I think it team may make that move to go up and draft area store land who could be a you know, top ten point Lord in the league he only played four games Vanderbilt John hurt. Out with a knee injury. But can really really shoot it. Can run a team. The big thing with him is again, there's not a lot of tape on him and he's very small. So I love Darius garland, because I think that the way the game is played where you get these, you know tremendous range from your guards to make shots. The bulls have a crying need because Chris done is not the answer. So if I said to Jeff Goodman, okay, it's going to cost you seven and next year's number one. It will give you a lottery protection at the top three only. Would you do that for him? Listen. I liked growing to the bulls need to make a move. They need. They gotta get a point guard of his wrath or a maker trade and getting salvage point guard and I don't know where they're gonna go for that. So if I'm the bulls, I better get either garland, or Koby white. I like Kobe a lot. I do. I think you know again, he's not he's not a ready made point guard. He came into college thinking he was gonna be a two and was forced to play the one. He he's got better size. He's much more athletic grading transition. I love Kobe, too. I was just very different garland Koby. Y. Yeah. I guess that's the question that some bulls fans are wondering, too, is what about going to get one of these free agent point guards, a Rubio abroad in Schroeder. Or do you try to hope for Kobe white at seven move up to get another? Guy at four try and get their garland. What path is most appealing. Do you think having gotten a good? Look at these guys in college, and some of these guys who've proven themselves in the NBA. Well, it depends on who you're talking, right? Let's clarify with the bulls. No. I who are you talking as far as the free agent point guard? You're not getting kyri Ricky. Rubio. Yeah. Rather, like yeah. I'm not a huge Rubio guy like he's just a stop gap. That's all Rubio is. So to me, I'd rather see them roll the dice with a garland or a Kobe wipe. The hard part is, is not. There's two point guards while John ran obviously is going off the board for Memphis after that is two guys. And again, they're so different. But I I'd rather see them go that route and go for a Rubio, or Darren collison, or you know, somebody like that, that's out there unless you can pull some trading get and honestly, the point guard position has really really taken a hit. If you look at it closely over the last five years, or so it's not nearly as, as loaded as it was back in two thousand twelve thirteen with Eric rose was healthy. You just had a lot more depth at that position than you do right now. So that's why I think John Renton three five years is going to be a top five point guard. Yeah. You know, as you look at somebody's other players that are non-point guards, some people are talking about the Andre hunter. Jared Kover Cam reddish, as you float around with those other guys that are in that five to nine slot who established themselves only based on talent to you, as the most ready made to make an impact in this league. All right show. I mean to me again, I think the Andre hunters ready made okay. You know, three years in college redshirt, his first year. He's a terrific defender who can also makes out you sat forty two percent from three if I'm New Orleans. And I'm sitting there and I can't trade it, I'm taking hunter because with leaves him with your holiday, Lonzo ball, you're gonna need floorspace or, and he's the happy again. He can defend high level. So I like hunter could he slip? I don't think he gets beyond Cleveland at five. I think if New Orleans goes, whether it's going, and they trade it or they sit tight and takeover. I think Cleveland shakes hunter there. So then again, I think Phoenix is at a point where maybe again, they're looking at, at, at garland. If everything's sits the way, kind of according to plan, or maybe they've got, you know, hunter. On the board there. So, you know, again, I guess, hunter would be the one Jackson Hayes is terrific, but the bulls, don't need Jackson. They don't need another big guy, aerobic guy, you know, could they go Cam rightish? Yeah. It's rolling the dice, really rolling the dice. I don't like the other guy. Yeah. I don't I don't like it for the bulls. I don't like it for the both every I like Ryuhachi mirror a lot. I do. But again, I think if I'm the bulls, I gotta take a point guard with that pick. I feel like they almost have no choice unless, again, they're gonna make you trade for a point guard, or they know they're gonna sign somebody, they gotta take a coin. Yeah. For me. And we're talking to Jeff coma from stadium in advance of the draft tonight for me. Picking it seven if I could find a way to walk. I, I'm I have my concerns about Kobe white because he's not the style point guard that I want we're dairy as garland is I think he's a very talented kid. I think he's a little raw. But if I could come out of this draft with either Darius garland or de'andre hunter because I think he has a super high floor. I'm not certain. He's got this illegal level where oh my God. He's at all NBA player. But I think he's gonna be a damn good solid pro for a decade. So that's why like, here's the problem. Here's the only problem with hunter. I think there's some similarities to him and Otto porter in terms of in terms of their personality, you know, they're, they're different again. Hundreds of better defender, certainly, a lot better coming out of college. And then auto was, you know, but they're, they're similar in some ways. So I don't know again. I think if it's if it's me, and I'm, I'm Garen pack. Tax and it's Kobe white or hunter at that point. I'm probably taking Koby white. I think we kind of touched on this, but I just wanna be clear Jeff, the idea that Kobe white could be waiting at seven. Is that a pipe dream, given that, you know, you're soon, the garland doesn't get past the four five slot? And then the belief that Cleveland and Phoenix also would wanna point guard. I mean, you'd wanna start one in Cleveland doesn't wanna point guard, then Cleveland doesn't I, I think who even goes hunter or or even maybe Kover over a point guard route, I would be surprised. I think because. Already there. And you think they're going to stay with. Right. Right. I think there's some in Cleveland camped, it would take darling over, if, if it's gonna end or Culver. Okay. But I think ultimately Cleveland does not go the point guard. Rue the end of the day. Let's say Phoenix, though, to Perritt Devon Booker. Do you ever vision that, that point guard makes it past six that second point? One of them. I think. Yeah. I think I think there's a good again. I, I if, if things stay the way they are. I could see hunter hundred Culver going four and five and some order, and then Jarl into Phoenix, probably why did seven. Well, then if that's the case if an obviously, we can't predict this thing. But if that projection stays true, and I personally would stay right? Where the bulls are, that means they're not giving away anything and they're still getting card. And again is Coby white ready this year? Maybe not. But he came a long way last year as I said like he came in and Raymond Felton's. Nephew was supposed to be the starting point guard of Carolina last year. He got tossed off team. So Kobe white was forced to play the point. I remember seeing him in November, and he had an unbelievable game. I mean again like he he makes import decisions at times. He's great in transition. He's gonna have to learn how to play in the half court and run offense. But I think he's a smart enough kit. He doesn't say two words really quiet kid, but just wants to play ball, you know, small town kid who who again. I, I think he's got a really, really high ceiling. He's just completely different than garland. Hey, I know you've got to fly to TV as we let you go. Do you hear any talk the bulls being aggressive trading tonight up down? Sideways, whatever. But do you hear anything that would get fans here excited? Well, I think everybody's trying to move right now because again, there's not, there's not a lot of disparity. So like I said, I think David Griffin trying to move out of that four spot. I think Atlanta's trying to see what they can package from eight and ten Minnesota's trying to move up. You got teams that are trying to move down. You've got obviously the Celtics with fourteen twenty twenty two. And now they've gotta make a move because they just lost out Horford to go along with. So I think there's gonna be a lot of talk today. I don't know how many moves get made today or a lot of it's still happens here in the next week leading up to free agency. Hey man, good luck TV and enjoy the day. Thanks guys. Appreciate it. Jeff Goodman from stadium all over the NBA draft. So there's the latest goings on with the Chicago Bulls. Yeah. It'll be interesting to see to me. I just if the bulls aren't going to stay at seven really nervous that, that second point guard is still on the board at that point to me, it's me, I guess what?.

"It's after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS sports radio. We're pretty sure that Williamson will be the overall number one pick to the New Orleans pelicans. So it wasn't just the NBA draft lottery was these die Williamson sweepstakes. And even though he was only Duke for one year he loved his college. Basketball experience, he talks about that pretty regularly. And he believes that he has learned a lot that will prepare him now for what's to come in the NBA. Over the season, sort of Roku brew. Towards the. Thing. My ability to just to the game. From is go to college change. Just one of the good as this will to win. So I want to win. Do things to do with Zion is the total package. Not only does he have the size and the bulk that you can't teach six six to eighty five he's explosive, but he's also light on his feet. He has great footwork. He's, he's smart. And he's instinctive, and there isn't a whole lot of can't do on the court except as he points out his three point shot got a lot better. But he also has a megawatt smile. And what could be perfect personality to be a superstar at the next level so likely to end up as the overall number one pick to the pelicans. And of course, they just made that big move that ship to Anthony Davis to Los Angeles. And in return, the pelicans get mung other players. Lonzo ball Brandon Ingram. A bunch of extra draft picks and Zion, of course was processing that trade a lot like the rest of us around the NBA. Of these PG. Very old school. I respect that about him. I think he's a buck and good early. I think he can give you twenty five thirty unite like Ray situation, a bucket. Get our I like it. I like that description. Now, we don't actually know if Zion will be playing with Lonzo ball and Brandon Ingram. There's a chance, but there's also a chance not depending on what the pelicans do with their number four pick or how else they might package up players and make trades moving forward for now. Jrue holiday would be their starting point guard. So we'll say it's after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS sports radio Cam reddish, or RJ Barrett along with on the triumph for it to come out of do after their freshman years, and now to potentially all be selected of the top ten of the NBA draft. And it's kind of funny because RJ was supposed to be the great star of this class until Zion kind of took the basketball world by storm. And then there's can't reddish, and it's me. That the three of them being able to play together feel like as a group, they are more prepared for the NBA now because the experience is that they had together with the blue devils, and coach K. Players out there. Phenomenal. Learn a lot from them. I'll just call me time believe players, obviously playing with them. Stuff stuff over. So Cam radish coming out to go wing player really good shooter. He can pull up off the dribble, but he's also got a fantastic body, type for the next level and with him, there's so much potential. Lot of talent needs some more coaching to be sure. But look for Cam, British to also in the top ten after Zairean RJ, Barrett likely to go one and three it's after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS sports radio. It'll be interesting to see where the members of the national championship team. And so we've already heard de'andre, hunters name tossed around one of our callers from Cleveland mentioned, the forward out of Regina. How about the two guards that really provided so many dramatic moments for the Cavaliers and winning their first ever and AA title so tied? Jerome course with some massive three pointers. And how about Kyle guy with those free throws. That will never forget what was a half. A second left of. The clock or some such nonsense. And so more than once the Cavs, the who's pulled they snatched victory from the jaws of defeat and Kyle guy was a guest on Tiki and Tierney, here on CBS sports radio on Wednesday answering the question of why he and Jerome left Virginia. I think if we would have wanted. Maybe been. Decision for myself. But, you know, there's not much more. We could have accomplished. Well, that makes sense. Also the idea that your draft status. We'll never be higher probably than it is right now. Barring a second consecutive NC double a championship, which is unlikely to happen. So you can hear that entire conversation with Kyle guy. Tiki and Tierney on CBS sports radio dot com. And then Kobe white another player that could come out of the ACC. Of course, he from North Carolina, but love his energy. This is a guy who can change a game just in the blink of an eye. He he's relentless and he will push. He's aggressive. And of course, coming out of the ROY Williams program, I think the big area where people expect him to try to get better would like him to get better, as maybe as a passer, he can be creative, but it's got to be smart with the basketball as well. But generally will send a lot of players to the. NBA and Coby white. He coming out of a high profile profile program, excuse me, like Duke and obviously now you've even other name that you could hear in the top ten processes loan. I'm not is low, but I love, you know, like now to worry about schooling things better each and every day. So that's a great point about process became so much of a better player just because I been working six days a week every day. So they're on the NCAA tournament stage and then they drop off the map other than workouts, but we don't have a whole lot of access to them. Maybe now and then you might hear about a workout they're doing with an NBA team. And of course, the draft lottery where you had a few of them sitting in the front row, most notably ion but Koby and, and Kyle guy and these others. That's kind of what happens. They don't finish the school year. They don't finish school at all. They immediately once they decide they're going to declare for the NBA draft. They immediately start working to they work with traders. They go through drills. They're trying to put usually trying to put meat on their bones to bulk up, but also to prepare for the types of workout they're going to see with NBA teams. And so they've got athletic trainers, but also various team around them who will help them be ready for what they're going to be asked to do when they work out. So I mean you're talking about the fast track to get ready for pro basketball. As we started to hurt a couple of great calls from the NCAA tournament and Westwood One, man. What a wild ride. It was with the Cavaliers and some of the other great stories, we talked about, John, Renton Murray state, certainly Purdue and Texas Tech and just a lot of fun this year, but March March madness is here and it's going into flash. It's three weeks of craziness and then we have to wait for the NBA draft. So now we'll find out the next stage of the careers for these young men and the draft again, it'll be taking place on Thursday evening in Brooklyn. And then we'll have our show tomorrow night, and we will kind of go through all the different storylines, if they're going to be some trades as well in the pelicans or still in prime position to make a deal before the choosing begins, I guess even after the begins, but they do have that number four pick as well. It's after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS sports radio. Thanks so much for tuning in. You can find me on Twitter law radio this weekend. The action is on both. The course and the court it's highlighted by the travelers championship, and then former basketball legends and all stars playing in the big three and that's only on CBS. We have a couple of minutes before we hit the top of the hour. Did you see the story coming out of Colorado about the berol among? Parents of little kids playing baseball. So it's a youth baseball game on Saturday. Lakewood, Colorado and these are seven year olds. I mean this is crazy. There's seven year olds west gate elementary school. Okay. So we're not even talking about kids playing AAU baller on travel teams or you know, high draft prospects. I'm just kidding high prospects potentially going to end up trying to get recruited to different schools. Blah, blah, whatever. No, these are seven year olds, apparently the parents didn't like the calls. That would be reading made by the empire. The empire thirteen. So the players seven the opus thirteen years old. He's barely a teenager. He probably hasn't gone through puberty. He's out there making calls at a seven year old baseball game. Great good job for him in the summer. But apparently the parents didn't like the calls and before you know what this flat out, brawl a total brouhaha breaks out. Parents are punching each other. They're trying to some of them are trying to get their kids out of the way most of them just going nutso. Crazy. Haymakers. A woman even jumps on another person's back. Are you kidding me? Your seven year olds were acting more mature than you are. So Lakewood, Colorado, this is last Saturday fifteen to twenty adults. Get into a violent. Abroal. Lakewood police arrived on the scene, and they still haven't got got it under control. I mean it's nutso. So there is at least one woman out there on the field who tries to hustle, the kids out of the way. Also, some of the punches that are being thrown our. Yeah. Anyway, so. They start salting each other pushing and shoving throwing punches. Oh my gosh. The Lakewood police actually we're trying to identify all the various parents who were involved in this brawl and they actually put out a tweet with the video to say, hey, we need to know who these people are this video, by the way. More than one point six million views on social media. So if you're one of those parents oh, you should be so proud one point six million. People have watched you throw punches at a seven year old baseball game over calls being made by umpire who's thirteen. Talk about having lost all perspective. There is nothing important about a seven year olds baseball game shy of your little boy getting hurt. What else matters nothing except for maybe learning sportsmanship?.

"Surveillance on a counterintelligence crowd. Sean Hannity will William bar clearly, and I think Trump as well. Well, I think they're trying to imply and to really, you know, indicate that there was a misuse of thirties. That was not the case director Brennan who other than these weirdo. Conservatives would dare suggest that using human intelligence and undercover operative and applying for a secret warrant to wiretap a member of the Trump who would dare call that spying. They are so concerned over the semantics of saying that this was well spying indicates that there was done some that something was done wrong. Oh, yeah. Sure. We conducted surveillance. Yeah. I mean, we we do that we investigate. That's what the FBI does the FBI spies. I mean, I mean surveillances because spying has this negative connotation William bar said spying. It clearly indicated that there was something that was inappropriate if not illegal. Nobody used the term spying when they're referring to legitimate predicated authorized investigate. The actions of the part of the FBI. Okay. Nobody in polite company uses the term fart. They use pass gas. It's the same damn thing. Okay. No. No one will be in church and say, oh, man. Smells, like, someone farted. They'll say it does appear that someone has broken wind. It's the same thing. It is referring to the exact same thing, and whatever you wanna call it spying surveillance legitimate investigation. The investigation into said legitimate investigation is to determine whether or not this was politically motivated, whether or not there was as Brennan asserts legitimate reason to suspect that there was Trump Russia collusion, and you can tell by focusing on semantics spy, essentially, turning on one another as well here in a moment. Those involved in this decision are starting to panic quite a bit Brennan goes on to say, hey, look, the inspector General, Michael Horowitz. His report is going to be out in a couple of weeks, if not sooner let's just wait to see what that says they are all concerned about this. Because of the rather obvious political motivations look folks, you don't just start but investigation into. To the opposition parties presidential nominee. You don't just start this in the middle of a campaign right after the convention right in the heart of the general election season. You just all of a sudden are launching an investigation that allows you to put undercover agents in connection with Trump campaign members. You just happen to a couple of weeks before the election apply for a Fiso warrant to wiretap Trump campaign official that just doesn't happen. It doesn't happen in a vacuum. Obviously, the political considerations because of the ramifications of what would happen if an investigation like that were leaked to the public clearly has to be taken into account. And wouldn't you know it details from that investigation. We're routinely leaked to the public. But James Clapper was on CNN and hosts John Brennan was asking him or excuse me. John, not John. Renton. It's whatever his name is the guy with Allison caveat in the morning. He's actually John Berman. John Berman actually, I find him to be very he's he's pretty obviously a liberal. But at least he asks tough questions of liberal guests, which is really all I ask so Berman is asking him about the investigation of the investigators and Clapper had a really remarkable response. He said, look, let's not lose sight of the real issue here. And that is the Trump Russia collusion that didn't actually happen losing sight of what was the cause of all this the predicate for all this was the Russians and the Russian engagement. Now, we know a fairly dozens of cases where Russian operatives some of whom were known to be intelligence connections. We're trying to engage with the Trump campaign. That's what the concern was was a predicate for for any of these. This investigator sing the question remains, however, why wasn't the Trump campaign ever told? Hey, look, we have reason to believe that the Russian government is trying to infiltrate campaigns that the Russian government is doing something. We're not entirely sure what. Because remember at this point. We didn't know allegedly what the Russians were up to we knew that hacked, the DNC's emails, or at least we had a reasonable suspicion that they did we had a reasonable suspicion that they also attempted to hack the RNC's emails, but were unsuccessful we didn't know the operative question. Here is why was the Trump campaign never told to be on the lookout? Why was the Trump campaign never told? Hey, look, we have reason to believe that the Russian government maybe trying to infiltrate your campaign, maybe trying to sway some of your campaigns members. Why was there never a heads up? Why was all of a sudden the Trump campaign merely? Assumed to be in collusion with the Russians. Why all of a sudden was the Trump campaign under suspicion not of being a target of the Russian operation, but being part of the Russian operation. How was that determined was it the Steele dossier because we've been told for months now that the Christopher Steele dossier was not the impetus for this investigation. But the Steele dossier certainly did provide if someone was willing to take it seriously a roadmap to this idea that Donald Trump himself was influenced by the Russians that Donald Trump himself was being controlled by a lot of MIR Putin that Trump might actually be a Manchurian candidate of sorts, but we were told no, no, no, no, no. We never took this Christopher Steele dossier. Seriously. I understand that. Okay. If you believe the George popadopoulos Alexander Downer story where popadopoulos gets drunk and starts blabbing about how Russians were offering him emails. Why all of a sudden are you going undercover to surveillance spy, whatever it is on popadopoulos instead of immediately hauling him in and saying, hey, what's going on here? Why is there instantly instead of what one would expect if hey were you approached by the Russian government, and they said that they had Hillary Clinton's emails there is this immediate assumption. That popadopoulos is part of the plot. There's this immediate assumption that popadopoulos has done something wrong. But there was rather obviously political motivation in starting this investigation. James Komi was rather obviously partisan in nature. Now. It's ironic, of course, now, do you? Remember, what one of Hillary Clinton's very first excuses for losing the presidency was it was because of James Comey reopening that investigation into her emails. It was pretty obvious Komi didn't particularly care for Hillary Clinton. Even though he did the bidding of his bosses at the Justice department and within the White House and cleared her even though he said, well, she acted extremely carelessly with handling her Email, and that sounds an awful lot like gross negligence standard that you would need to charge someone insecure conviction on crime, but nonetheless, James Comey, rather, obviously also did not like Donald Trump. This is apparent in that Komi himself leaked a memo, which may or may not have contained more classified information than previously thought to the New York Times in order to secure a special prosecutor to look into Trump Russia collusion. In other words, Komi was perfectly fine. With mishandling classified information Komi was perfectly fine after he was fired. And remember he went into the Trump presidency. He didn't resign in protest because Donald Trump is such an existential threat to America. No, he stayed in documented every conversation he ever had with Trump with the rather obvious intention of trying to get us later on to take down the Trump presidency after he's fired. He immediately uses a leak to the media to try to get what he wants. And that's a special council investigation at ever since he's a sensually operated as a partisan political operative all the while trying to stay above the fray and posting pictures of himself on Instagram staring forlornly into a forest. Well, rod Rosenstein, who was at the department of Justice called him on it in a speech over the weekend after Kobe wrote an op Ed and remember last week. He had his CNN townhall. Where he's allowed to well, basically, self congratulate and self vindicate and basically make his case for why he did everything by the book, he implicated Rosenstein, saying Rosenstein was too weak to stand up to Donald Trump, and that he fears for Rosenstein, immortal soul when he has he has to meet his maker. And explain why did you sell your soul to the devil? Donald trump. Well, Rosenstein was done to please do not blame the former director for being angry. I would be too. If I were in his shoes. But now, the former director seems to be acting as a partisan pundit selling books, earning speaking fees, while speculating about the strength of my character and the fate of my immortal soul. I kid you not. That is disappointing speculating about Seoul's is not a job for police and prosecutors. Yikes. He went on to say that the job of police and prosecutors is to analyze evidence in an objective manner. Rather obvious implication is that might not have always been done under James Comey. But the point is that you see the principal characters involved starting to turn on each other. And that usually happens as the long arm of the law starts closing in. We're coming right.

"Too. You can find these players. But but you have to have a good, you know, good scouting group. Klay was eleven so you can find these players outside of the top ones. Okay. It just you know, the question is, you know, how you doing your due diligence Steph curry was seven you can find these players. But I think we look at it. And we're going to go down just the top three players or even to is I on in John Moran. Also saw this. And I do believe this is strange. This may sound RJ. Barrett is is ready now to play obviously, Cam reddish. I thought had a hard time being the third wheel there. But I do think there's more upside with Cam reddish in the NBA, then there is j Barrett. Even though when you saw Jay Barrett play. He was dominating in the I think Cam reddish has there's a greater upside for him. Then there is our j Barrett. I don't know about you know, John Moran. John John ranches getting better and better better because he came out of nowhere. And there's Dwayne Wade field to him that it will continue to get better. Gotta get a little bigger, but get better. But I do like Cam reddish a lot more than most people do Jeff Duncan. He is the beat writer for the pelicans New Orleans times picky. You and congratulations. Jeff you one last night. Thanks, dan. Yeah. The city's still trying to. Trying to figure this thing out. I don't think most people in New Orleans right now truly believe what happened last night. I think they absent induced figment of their imagination. All right. I couldn't help but wonder where Davis was last night. And has anybody talked to him last night or today? I believe that some reports are already leaking out that I have not talked to him. But some people have reported that his stance has not changed. I know David Griffin the director of basketball up the new director about for the pelican has plans to meet with Anthony Davis and his representation of Rich Paul at some point here in the near future. I'm sure now that's going to be exceleron premium into sit down, and and try and talk to him and see his mind has changed in would have to think Dan that last night's news. You know, he's not intrigued by that. Possibility of teaming with Zion. Williamson Andrew holiday here. I don't know. What would get him intrigued because I think that trio would would do some serious damage in Western Conference. What about Julius Randle future? That's up in the air. That's one of many decisions that David Griffin to make on the roster along with Elford Payton a number of players. I mean, really one of the attractive things for David Griffin coming. Here's the almost has a clean slate with the roster. Another could be good or bad. But it really is a clean slate and new ownership here with gale Benson. I think is a made this a very attractive situation for someone that is in as embracing challenge of a rebuild. You really have have really no baggage on the roster to move forward and trying to figure out this is it better. If Anthony Davis stays or you trade him to the Lakers or Boston. And then you just do a complete redo here. And you just start over and bring in younger players ready to go who wanna be there does which one makes more sense to you. Well, I think there was some major damage done but Davis and his camp with the way the trade. Request was made the public stance that was taken. And I think they would have to do some damage control their fans, right? Eventually that would wear off with every dunk and wind. Anthony Davis would bring to the organization, but there are there is a segment of the fan base here. That is ready to say goodbye, Anthony Davis and move forward. And I think that is ultimately the path that David Griffin will take and you know, use a game of thrones reference. He's on the iron throne right now, he has a lot of capital of the work with now with Zion Davis violence, and here, I think it makes it a more attractive organization to lure free agents as well much less when he gets in this trade frontier Davis, mclovin. Can you translate? What Jeff just said about the throne place. Who's in charge? Okay. All right. So he's in charge. Yeah. If I'm New Orleans, I move on from Anthony Davis is wonderful as he is. But if he doesn't want to be there, and then if you get a package deal from the Lakers, and you can get a couple of those kids who are ready to play right now. And you come in. I think it could be really exciting. And we found that Zion. He seems like the ultimate team player. He was he was at Duke. He was a great team player. I just hope he he the city will invalid him. I hope he gets that. He has an open mind to one of two on a play there because it's they're wonderful people, and it's a wonderful city. And it could be the start of something really spectacular. I just don't want it to be a redo of twenty twelve where Anthony day or you know, he was in his situation too. And then somehow, you know, wanted to get out of town. Well, I think Dan the one thing that Zion Linson has over Anthony Davis is personal. Game has got such sizzle to it it. He's got a radiant personality. Like, you said a very humble kid, which is amazing considering all the hype and hoopla that accompanied his career, everyone you talk to by all accounts, he's very selfless. And humble, I think he's going to like you said immediately embraced by New Orleans fans. He's the perfect player in this market at this time for the city of New Orleans. This is a traditional football town basketball, never really taken off all the way back you'd have to go back to the seventies. When Pistol Pete was here before you really found someone that the city wrapped itself around and love on the basketball court. I think this kid will be that player because of that the way he plays in his game. He's he's like Elvis on the basketball court in New Orleans kind of needs that it's a big event town it it loves its superstars drew Brees. Of course football. They raced Reggie. Bush, and I think that winds will be that bad by certainly has the the best opportunity to do that here. Where were you last night when you heard that announcement? I was out on the lake front in New Orleans on lake Pontchartrain and the entire restaurant. Off out of the people were hugging and celebrating damn that doesn't happen in may in New Orleans with basketball. That's something you'd see at a saints game. Not with the pelicans storyline. It was amazing people were pulled out their cell phones. And, you know, taking selfies I haven't seen anything quite like it regarding basketball, and I've been here two decades if you were going to recommend one restaurant is I on day one when it comes to. Absolutely, no doubt in my mind Clancy's in uptown, New Orleans, quintessential, New Orleans, fair and service, great room, great atmosphere. One of one of Gregg Popovich favorites when he comes to town. He's always at Clancy's the night before game. Paulie, we went there when we went to the Sugar Bowl. Didn't we we had an afternoon brunch. Lunch thing when I think it's Oklahoma LSU sugar. We went there really nice. Well, there you go we're providing all the services for Zion Williamson, Jeff, thanks for joining us have fun with this. And I'm certain we'll be in touch. Yeah. Dan. Thanks for having me on. It's going to be a fun fun right here. New Orleans since Jeff Duncan. The pelicans beat writer for the New Orleans times picayune. You never think about this. But the media sometimes wins in situations like this because you get to cover this. And it's just something else to cover and the excitement there. Some people have asked the grizzlies with Mike Conley. And the number two pick overall don't need a point guard. I don't know about that. Now, I wonder if you wanna keep Mike Conley. If you can bring in job Mirant is there a team? I don't know what Mike Conley's situation is. I know it gets paid an awful lot. But that sounds strange to say because everybody in the NBA gets paid a lot. What's Mike Conley situation? Mclovin. Can you look and see I by that. I mean, he's he's on the trade bloc, presumably. Yeah. People talked Lakers. Now, they did. Yeah. That might be a guy to add LeBron potentially. But what do you give up for him? That's question. Yes. I got the solution the grizzlies and the pelicans merge problem self twenty twenty games at home in each town. You get John Renton together sheds a millionaire. If you missed any of our interviews this week from. The Mercedes G man cave. Go to the Dan Patrick show app. You can watch and listen from inside the Mercedes AM G man, cave, Mercedes AM G driving performance. So we got our poll question. Mclovin. Is that right? Yeah. Do you wanna go with who is less? Hats kind of mean who is less. Happy Jamarat poll question that that is me that is me. I did. I don't know. I don't want to do a tough one. Who would you take it number four, and I did ESPN and the athletics mock draft and the four players they have at four five six seven and eight or all the same Jarrett. Culver the Andre hunter Darius Carlin. Kobe white. And then Cam radish at eight for both both mocks their fourth pick, their you're saying someone might pop out, but feels like a cliff. It does feel that way with after RJ Barrett. If Mirant goes to embarrass goes three to the Knicks then Jared Culver for the Lakers. Never he could hit a side of a barn in the tournament. You got a lot of six five six six guys doesn't feel like they can shoot a de'andre hunter. With virginia. The guy talked about last night Vanderbilt's, Darius garland, he's attractive disease, so unknown. Well, he's also guard point guard in Phoenix could use a point guard there. But I don't know. I wasn't as big on Jordan. I didn't like his shot. I wonder if you can get that shot in the pros, but garland is a freshman point guard. Kobe white who played at Carolina reddish. I think it lands on to something here. I do I think like I'm kind of quietly rooting for Atlanta with trae young. I think they have some some pieces there in reddish comes there. You just want to get guys who can play right away for you. Yeah. Mclovin. So they're trying to recreate the warriors have the former assistant GM the warriors. There are they to camera seems like great for that. Yeah. I like reddish three point gotten. Yes. I, but I think he's very versatile. And that's why I said I liked him more of his upside than I did RJ Barrett. RJ Barrett is ready to play. Now. I don't know if our j Barrett will continue to get better be great. Who was the other Duke guy who went to Sacramento? Barbara bag Marvin Bagley junior the third. We didn't hear from him. At doesn't mean that he's not good or going to be good or going to get better. But sometimes these guys get into the league. And then they like exile. I want you hungry. I don't know Cam radish never met him. We'd never interviewed him. But I wanna know does he want to go out and just had that chip on his shoulder and just attack because he was he was the third wheel at Duke and understandably so with Barrett in Zion. I see what he's going to do when he gets to the big stage. We'll come back. We got our play of the day stat of.

"I would not wanna see I would not want to go there. Well to me that's only if if you buy that Beal and wall or not the players we saw last year and that the the players that we saw years ago. So the sun Spain fits their Spain Jason Fitz. We haven't even mentioned the sun to have one of the top percentages to get him. It just feels like I don't know a black hole and feels very Knicks like, but without the cachet of the market. And I think the problem with the sons is part of the conversation last year was the once they got the Andrea and they were gonna take some big step forward and not to playoffs. No. But there was a there was a moment where people looked at it and thought. Okay, de'andre in Devon Booker. There's there's something there to build on. And we spent a year ago right now, we were talking to amino acid about how the the Suns coach was going to be a good fit for this. And now all of a sudden they have another new coach and another year where the first overall pick is supposed to fix everything. I just don't know what fixes Phoenix. And so, you know, I I don't think that we've seen enough from. Andrea eight and to know that that suddenly makes him a bigger star was I on next to him. So I don't love it for him. Well, and also if you really look at it, it would make more sense for the sons to take a point guard John Mirant because they've got de'andre Aiden and Devon Booker on the wing, and they've got this core that should be taking bigger steps forward. So if the point guard is the real issue that puts them in an interesting spot. Same goes for the bulls. Like, I would love for the bulls to win this this lottery intake Zion. But it kinda makes more sense to take John Renton fill the point guard position. If they've already got Lauri Markkanen and Wendell Carter junior. So I I think I think you have to keep Zion. If you get him, in my opinion, especially in a market like Chicago, that's desperate to get people back on board after they're so frustrated with the front office and the head coach. But there will be interesting conversations to be had if it is a team that is more need of that point guard position will what is the trade value? That's the other thing we don't know because as much as we're having a conversation. I know the Nick. Conversation of you know, they're going to trade somebody. I'm not even talking about that. I'm saying that what if the bulls win the lottery. Okay, we're gonna have a happy thought here for you for the bozeman the lottery, right and the Knicks finishing second. I mean, what's it worth for the next to move up because the bulls won John in your example? I don't think you're wrong. I mean, the bulls getting John Mirant makes a lot of sense rather have John Moran? But men do what are the Knicks willing to give up to move up one spot in the draft. I mean, if you can move down to two for her whoever wins like Phoenix or the bulls win the lottery and are able to move down to the second spot. Get John Marin they'd get a king's ransom in return for I on. I mean, that's very NFL draft logic. But I think in this this case because his eye on it applies. Yeah. And and this is where all the lying to right? This is where we start to hear people making little fibs around different trade deals and different options just to see who might bite, and that's what's fascinating about this tonight. We will get the. The order. We will not really get a feeling for. How teams are actually thinking. It feels like Zion is an absolute sure thing, but we've heard plenty of very smart basketball people since the beginning of his run at Duke saying, I don't know if he's actually the one that's going to give you the most success long term. But also, can you be the guy with the Kahane's to say no to him? Yeah. I don't think anybody can. But Zion isn't this draft lottery isn't just about. Whereas I on goes, we all have to be honest..

"The, hey kids. Big Ben dropped from European vacation. Not the first reference to it not the second reference to it. But the third time we play a bit of that scene. Hey, look kids big band of be caller ten so you got to count you got pay attention. If you're caller ten on the third time here in the hopper for the big trip and those of chance to win other bears tickets and the Miller lite law. So there's a great giveaway for the big trip to London. I concur. Let's bring him in. Jeff Goodman does great work for stadium. We've talked to them through the years about NBA and college basketball, always in tune with these prospects, and we're getting set for the lottery tonight. Jeff. Always great to talk to you. What would it mean for the bulls, if they get lucky tonight and get the number one pack. Oh, it'd be insane. Because again, I mean like scientists so much. He's got so much pop right now. Not just from a standpoint of his talent. And what he's been able to do this past year. But obviously marketing as well. And I also think one part that can't be lost in in getting Zion. Is he's the guy that I think people are gonna wanna play with. So everybody would be watching whatever team gets them. People are going to be like, even if it's Phoenix people are going to be watching Phoenix Suns games and as good as Devon Booker. Andre are nobody really gave you know, what about Phoenix Suns? But if I am plays, even if they win twenty five games, people are still gonna wanna watch resign. And I think obviously a big yet. You know, the other thing is obviously, you know, you got some front court guys does he fit with all of them. I don't know. But to me, this is a kid that you gotta kinda try to build around as much as possible because you didn't even have any shooters weaving him at Duke this past year. And he was he was so good imagine what he's going to have with with shooters around with more space to operate it. Oh, by the way. Yeah. I know the guys are bigger and stronger in the NBA most of them still aren't as big as strong as in athletic is Jeff is there a team? Is there a general manager that would do the unthinkable and not draft design with the number one overall pick? No one that I have talked to there's not a single GM not a single executive that. I have thought you over the last month or two that has said they would not take sign Williamson. If there is one again, the hard part is listen if there is somebody like that. And they would take John rant would be the one guy that you would say, okay. He's got a chance because he's elect you're fine. He super athletic and quick and he's got corpus. So you could look at John Renton make a case. But if you don't drive on and he turns out to be the best player in the NBA along with again, the marketing dollars that he's gonna bring in Bill MRIs and all that you're going to get fired. So I don't think anybody could pass on him simply for that reason as well. Jeff we were talking off the air about. And I think I heard this today and cap show if if the bulls get Zion is there more or less pressure on gar impacts to produce a winner because for more more crash horse a hundred percent, of course, because they then you can't have the excuse. Then it's hey, listen. You got the pieces. Now, you got the pieces how much more time. Can you get if you're if you're garn packs at this point? I mean, listen, they're fortunate enough to get another shot this year with Jim Boylan who nobody thought it would be the head coach. I think there's there's a lot of pressure especially if they get Zion. And even if they get the number two pick, I think it'd be interesting because again, you drive to you Chris Don a couple of years ago. You probably you gotta take John Moran. 'cause that's been there kind of achilles heel. Obviously the point guard position lately. What do you do with Chris done? I mean, you try to move them. I don't know how much you can get for and probably if you got to work in a bigger trade. But yeah, I I think everybody is point is thinking if you get scien- there's gonna be more pressure because the expectations on that kid are gonna be so high probably unfair to appoint Jan since you mentioned his name. What do you think of Jim Boylan as an NBA head coach? You know, I've known him for years. I've known him, you know, he was a head coach Utah. So I dealt with them quite a bit. You know, it's funny. I don't know if I said this to you guys when your program, but he was the next guy at Arizona. Shawn Miller said no initially ten years ago, and the next guy was going to be Jim Boylan. According to my sources when he was Utah. And then Shawn Miller went back thought about it. They upped the offer they went after a little bit harder Zona, and he ended up taking a job later that night like two in the morning. You know, listen, I like Boylan because he's kind of an in-between guy. Right. He's he's obviously a lot tougher than Fred Hoiberg. And I think they needed that. But he's also not a dictator and the players do really like him. I think he's fortunate. You know, he's sports it usually when a head coach is fired like that. Fred hoiberg. They don't give it to the assistant coaches been there with ROY. Usually you're gonna find somebody else. And and then you give him a big contract. I just I was surprised. That's all I'm happy for Jim. I liked him a lot. But I was absolutely shocked that they went in that direction. And again, I'm just shocked at gar impact. Still have a job to be honest. A lot of us are Jeff Goodman, joining us from stadium Waddle and Silvy on ESPN one thousand you mentioned that Zion could be a draw for other free agents. Let's totally go fantasy here. I'm. I'm gonna go bulls meat had on you. If the bulls do win the lottery, and they have Zion, and they have Lowery, and they have Zach LeVine, and they have some of these other piece, June Otto porter. One of these free agents in this big year. Now, all of a sudden look to the bulls and saying maybe Chicago. I don't think. So yet, I think they'd still need to see it with their own eyes. How good sign isn't. You know, you need to get some momentum which the bulls just don't have yet. So I think they would need to show that on the court, and maybe a year from now when the free agent pool really isn't as good, you know, it's like Draymond green and some other pieces, but not nearly as is it is this year. But again, you never know like it could be one of those things where it's a perfect storm. Right. And and K D doesn't go to New York instead New York's make it makes a deal, you know, for Anthony Davis and that takes them out equation four K D where does he end up going everybody assumes? So like, I don't know how things all play out, you know. But I do think it's one of those things where it will make them. Whatever team gets I'm we'll make them more attractive in the long run. It just may take a year or two. If science for whatever reason, Jeff well for you. Tell me what the reason would be we had Charles Barkley on last week a believe in he appreciates Zion and thinks he's you know, has a potential to be very good player. But he's also has questions about how he will translate it at the next level. If he doesn't become the difference maker that all of us think he can be why will that be? Maybe his is body doesn't hold up. I think that would be number one. That's the biggest concern. Friendy eggs action has been all year is that he's carrying two hundred eighty five pounds of the way he plays and how explosive he is that worried about the fact that that is knees may not hold up for his body overall could wear down that would be number one number two. Would you know, I guess be still that he doesn't become a great shooter? And unlike LeBron like the difference between LeBron obviously is what Brian was always in league level pass like Eliot only like science not that. So if he doesn't become a great shooter, and he's not a great passer, which is a good passer. But not a great passer, then his whole game is predicated on playing transition and driving and teams. We'll just figure out a way. But I I don't think that's going to happen. I think kids a hard enough worker that he becomes an above average huger and he can make eighteen footers, and he can even extend to three he's not gonna shoot. Forty percent for three. I don't think but he could shoot thirty four thirty five percent from three keep defenses honest. And the one thing with him is man like he plays so hard and was so much energy and enthusiasm and that's a skill. That's a skill that a lot of guys these days. Don't have gimme the list in your mind specific to the bulls. And I know there's work to be done with individual workouts, combine stuff like that. But we're do we how far down can the bulls? Go and still get a guy that could change their landscape. Not Zion ask, but at least really make them better three. I think there's a big gap after three guys. I it's it's signing if John Moran, it's RJ Barrett. And then you've got some good pieces. You know, whether it's you could if you wanna point guard, you could go Darius garland who miss basically, the whole season vandy really kind of like Chris Paul type guard. I don't think. He goes for. But again based on need somebody could take him. This is for you know, the other two guys that I think you're gonna be mcquaid for the number four pick or the Andre hunter from Virginia who was terrific and the championship game. But doesn't always play like an alpha dog great defender versatile high character kid, but honestly, he's gotta get some like Otto porter issue him, right? Like two days a kid, you know, long skilled versatile, and then then you get your Culver from Texas Tech sophomore from Lubbock originally who's kind of a little bit. I think it ceilings higher offense. But he's not nearly as good defensively. His hunter, Jeff. I'm no basketball expert. But I was impressed with the potential of Kobe white how good a player can he be at the next level? It's funny. I think I was the first one to have Koby why when I did a mock draft. I saw him a couple of times in Vegas around thanksgiving and moved them up into like the fifteen twenty range and people thought I was nuts. But he's just such a an electric electric explosive score, and he came in with no point guard skills, really. And it's still a work in progress. But certainly today's day and age in the way, the NBA is you know, he's a scoring point. Right. And and you can make people better. But his game is definitely more. Dr or shoots, the three. I think he could go late lottery. It wouldn't shock me at all this draft. Guys, isn't very good. It's just not it is not the top three are really really good. I think they can all be all stars. After that. I think there's a there's a pretty significant drop off. And that's why you're the bulls. You gotta try to get in that top three Jeff Goodman, joining us from stadium Waddle and Silvy on ESPN one thousand. Joe Cowley the reporter at the sun time said today in his piece, then if the bulls do fall the four five or six somewhere in there, they could check in with the Lakers about Lonzo ball when I brought that up to the group. Everyone gave me bitter beer face. Jeff if anyone knows the ball family. It's you can lanzobol still be a really good player in the NBA. Hell, yeah. And and and you know me with the rest of the family. I I could be happy. If I don't see the rest of that family for another. But but man, I I love Lonzo. Absolutely. I would do listen if I had a chance to turn turn pick four or five or six into Lonzo ball. I'd do it in a heartbeat. There's your point card. There's your point.

"Goes I write let's say the Knicks get the number two pick. And you've got the choice of RJ Barrett for John Moran. I would probably lean toward joe-marie because they're probably going to get. Kevin Durant in free agency. Okay. So RJ Barrett is he's not Kevin Durant. Kind of a similar position. I don't think our Jacob play the two three for sure. But you know, Dennis Smith is a nice player. He's no John Moran. Let's say Phoenix gets the number two pick gotta be John Moran. They don't have a, you know, Devon book is not a pure point. John. Renton Booker would be nice. So you go to Cleveland if they get the number two pick. That's where I think RJ bear. It makes more sense. Colin sex a good player. He's probably gonna finish top five rookie year. He's a pure point guard. He needs the ball to run the offense Atlanta again, they have trae young. They're not going to go and get John Moran. I mean, I guess you could go RJ bear. But I would trade it for somebody that wants John Moran and Atlanta pick up more picks because they need players. The real interesting. What is Kabul's the bulls? Get the number two pick. They got Markkanen Chris done Zach LeVine. This is a good bull's team. I think you've got to go John Moran. Right. I don't think done is the point guard of your future Levin. John Mirant Markkanen kind of trio. I I like where the bulls are headed got Wendel Carter on the interior Otto porter. Of course, I think there's something in Chicago. I think I think they're on the uptick I actually liked the rebuild going on with the Chicago bolt. "john renton" Discussed on The Rich Eisen Show
"Back here on a rich Eisen show. Hurt Morrison filling in for rich NCW lay tournament games are all in progress. Right now, I was inside that is in progress right now score update thirty five thirty six Cincinnati thirty one Iowa ole miss and Oklahoma, I have Oklahoma and they are winning right now. What does that forty six to twenty that twenty four is that forty six way is it really? You know, my side is not as good as it used to be with it looks like forty six to twenty four. Yeah. It is forty six twenty seven. Just. Like that. Well, look, the NC double A tournament has really been taking a, you know, obviously, all of our attention. But they're still NBA news on on knowing other than to talk about that news as the ethnic NBA writer Sam amick, joining the show, and and say up what does the NBA do in these couple days while the NC double A Termine is going on Thursday through Sunday. In terms of just the the spotlight Kirk. Yeah. In terms of spotlight, San yeah. I mean, I think it takes a backseat. You know, what I may have for one? It's always fun for me to see the players themselves within the NBA. Kinda you get reminded that you know, these guys all have stories of their own vast majority of them, you know, we're planning in March madness at some point. And so you might have like ran of you know, he'd next game on a on a Friday and guys in that locker room trying they're kind of glued to that TV up until tip off time trying to watch you know, whichever squad they came from. And it's it's refreshing in that sense for me because you know, a they kind of look like fans like the rest of us in that regard. And then you know, just kinda shows you their passion for the game. And now they haven't lost that. But it's it's a fun time of year for sure, you know, some, you know, always this time of year, especially when you have some performances and we've said it before Zion watch starts later today at seven ten pm eastern time is do plays North Dakota state. But I think we will. The conversation as always the elimination of the one and done possibly depending on some other performance in this tournament is that still getting the conversation around the NBA at some point one and done rule will be done with for. Sure, I mean, the formal proposal has been submitted. It seems at this point like a likely foregone conclusion, and you know, it's Adam silver has ramp. That thing up in his discussions publicly is certainly ramped it up in his, you know, more importantly into substantive discussions with the players union privately with Michelle Roberts. You know, their executive director, you talked about a recently this long conference in Boston and was pretty candid about how that's you know, the the train has had pretty pretty kinda hot and heavy down those tracks. And so I think, you know, kind of what we talked about at the top here is that the days of of that dynamic probably nearing an end the ethnic senior NBA writer Sam amick, joining the rich Eisen show Kirk Morrison here. Filling in for rich before the tournament. Started Ziying Williamson was kind of the consensus number one overall pick. But all of a sudden John Moran has this performance last night. And you wake up this morning Sam. And it's like people are like, wait. Wait, wait. Could this be the number one overall pick in the NBA draft? How much have you seen John Renton? And what are you hearing from Emba executives about where he could possibly?.
"john renton" Discussed on Budget Arcade: Free to play gaming
"Game. So APEC Sledge's benefit of. Kind of hindsight of all the mistakes that other battles of mater. Maybe not even the stakes but all the things that kinda get in the way of playing battle royale. A inventory management is the best I've ever seen in a legend, the jumping mechanic where you dived together. You know, you don't have it's so much easier to coordinate in to me, the biggest thing the ping system. Osteo? But yeah, the I I agree with Jeff on this the pink system is absolutely fantastic of even if you wanna drop in solos like I've done when nobody else zome, you don't really have to have calms anymore. You can say things like, hey, Al wanted defend this area haters been enemy over here. There's open containers. There's enemies over here. I think there's enemies over here. I wanna go this way. It's just it really. Makes it easy for anybody. Who doesn't won't to deploy a group of people? It makes it really easy or doesn't Mike. Exactly. That's what I was gonna say. If somebody doesn't have microphone the ping system makes it so easy to identify what she wanted to. And where you wanna do that? Well in like, call outs because before you would. So like if you're playing any other pretty much every outweigh a has the degree system at the top, so low, they're two hundred degrees or whatever. But depending on where you were on the mat two hundred agrees for me is not going to be two hundred degrees for you. You know, that you mentioned that would have never thought of that the ping system. With the ping system. You market in can just see it from my perspective. And so it just it makes it so much easier to communicate that that just makes me fall in love with the game. Even more like. There's been so many times that will been playing a Royal than like one of you be like guys at three hundred sixty degrees. I'm like what what are you talking about? And I just started playing the battle royale, for example, black ops whenever they start Bush Bush. No he didn't tree right onto his. That's I can't even see anybody. Why am I getting shots is that duck shooting me? I'm not Amel. Heavy. Having you are heavy off my back. And there's another thing. I just thought it is. But there's a little thing with paying system. That's really great. Not only does it allow you to ping in the map. Like, it's you don't even have to go into the mat to paint where you won't to you can just from looking at it hitting a button, and there's a couple like if you hit it once it'll paying like, hey, I wanna go here. But if you double tap it and you so let's just say that there's an enemy use Saul. He ran into a building. You can't paint him directly. If. You have to if you look at a person directly you hit the ping system. It will actually show it will actually ping out. Hey enemy over here. But runs into a building. You know, you can't ping that. But they made it a quick system where if you will tap if you double tap, right bumper in our case it Ping's. Hey enemy over here. Pay attention over here. There's people that's a really great system. But also with the the weapons every along with views different ammo. They have different attachments. They have different what they call hop up. What is hop attachments? Where it's like, all right. You do extra damage with head shots. Do you know if you ain't down site, you get a tighter spread on your shot gutter your sniper, which will get into later, but stuff like that. And you can painting that in you. I need a hop up. Oh, yeah. You know, somebody wants that you can market, and I can I don't have to worry about. Hey, where was the L O? Second floor blue building next to the dumpster, it guy just market in Elko get that later. Yeah. Basis that is speaking of which the the Cody was talking about I just learned this yesterday where if you open up, your inventory and scroll up to where your guns, are you can paying the what ammo that gun takes. It'll say I need this type of ammo or you can thin the spot where your stock would be says I need to stock for light weapon whenever and and I learned that yesterday and we've been playing the game for what almost two weeks now. Yeah. So, you know, this is the great quality of life improvement on the battery John Renton set of like in gypsy instead of going around. Hey, it's in this building over here. What you wanna keep running in looting other buildings to see something different? Well, now, just ping it and people can go, right? So thinking system aside, I think really the biggest improvement over other battle royale 's is the revived mechanic. Oh, yes. I think everybody has died. I in a battle royale, and you either sit there and watch your team play. I die a lot of war about. I yet. I wasn't gonna say anything Scott. I've heard there's responses I haven't. But I actually got the chievements, you know, he's one of my teammates. So yeah, I know it works. Yeah. It does work. But it's it's one of those things it's like they they saw that. This is something that people don't like about that ROY house came up with a really balanced way to fix it. Like, it's not you can't run away from a fight in in. You know, there's still a timer when you can go and get a what do they call? It the banner yet yet to go pick up to go pick up. Banner. And then you go to a response station, and then your friends respond with no gear. So and there's no something penalty the dying, right? The still big penalty the dying. But there's always that hope that hey died like right out of the gate, but my team won that fight. I'm going to be able to get back in the game. See that also another like element to the battle reality genre Wyche. So when your teammates Dodd you, especially if you're playing so or something like that, you know, if you Don mmediately, you see allow your team has run away from the fight. Well, there's also another mechanic that adds layer onto a now wear your teammates connects you one away from the fight let everything settled down a little bit. And then they can run back in grab your banner in than like real still the Lisa they don't get shot at and they can respond you can keep moving. So it's not it's not either a is not all or nothing. Like, it wasn't the other ones. Like either you die and your team just runs away. And now you have to watch them laying the grass for speaking. Hinson minutes. I had that happened today. I mean that happens a law like one of our friends, he doesn't like playing battle royale just some facts that you know, he's very aggressive. And if you know everybody has an off day if he misses his shot is going to go down. And if he's on his own he's going to get thirsted. But you know, now with this system, you know, he decides the peel all he does. Well, now, we have a chance to actually go get him which allows people to you know, keep interacting with the game. And it's not just it's it's it's over when it's over because I've seen a lot of instances where people die immediately. And they disconnect the game try to get into lobby immediately. Again, when I have the chance to keep playing the game and see what happens. Yeah. I always wait until my banner has actually timed out where they can't pick it up before. I leave the game.
