"Come on bang. But this ties to what you were saying a moment ago, Leslie, which is just like you hit a certain age, right? And you're gonna express your frustrations, your desires, your needs, your curiosities, the way that you need to. Yes. And that's what this is. That's what this is. And that's what this song is. That's what this paragraph about that song is. So Misha, that's exactly what you're talking about with the wetness. Can I pull that? Can I pull back the curtain for a second on what it's like to cover a Beyoncé album? 'cause I think the American has a problem. Part of it is really funny, right? So the tracklist comes out, right? And you see that Beyoncé has a song called America has a problem. And your first thought is like, oh man, this is it. This is like Black Panther Beyoncé. Like, here we go. Let's do this. Exactly. And you start scrambling, right? As a newspaper that covers Beyoncé. That's what we do. You start scrambling and you say, all right, what are we gonna do with Beyoncé's political anthem? And then you see the lyrics and you see that Atlanta based legend pioneer kilo is involved, right? And then immediately you think, okay, kilo also has a song called America has a problem, but it's about cocaine. Cocaine. And it's frankly, it's a conscious rap based song from 1990, early 90s, and then your brain is scrambled and you're like, what is Beyoncé gonna do here? And then you turn it on and all she's gonna do is talk about her wetness. And drugs, but not in the way that kilo Ali was. I loved that fake out and I love that Wesley called out the fake out and almost pretty much led his review with it. I feel like we should go. I just checked on eBay, I believe that the kilo Ali T-shirt that I have been following on eBay has been purchased unfortunately. I was going to say it would be nice if someone got that for me. There's another kilo, like a tank top, I don't know if I like this one as much as the one that appears to be gone. I'm very frustrated. Someone got a hold of the fiance credits and just got on eBay and scooped it up. So anyway, salute to that person. Thanks to everybody, this is one hell of a talk. "I'm the one I come to save the day and I only want till I'm done. So it's right you got the chance you got the feeling of a boy on the one hand, John Monica, I think you're the person among us that knows this, maybe the best about me, but I have loved Lenny Kravitz since 1989. I knew that that person was a Kindred spirit for me. I was always baffled by as a young person, the critical disdain for Lenny kratts, right? Talk about silk sonic and leave the door open. I mean, it ain't over till it's over is leave the door open for 1993 or whatever, right? I feel like the ways in which a person like Lenny Kravitz who was derided for being a ripoff artist. Like, oh, he's still out of this stuff. And he sounds like interesting. He's not the I mean, it wasn't even post modern then. It was just like, this is music he obviously liked. But we have now entered this phase in which he sort of looks like a harbinger or, I don't know, he presaged something. And now an organization that had no interest in Lenny Kravitz for the entire peak of his commercial popularity and artistic inspiration is now like, can you come out and pay tribute to our hothouse flower, her and play one of your ignored hits for us, please? They did Lenny like they did Nas to be honest. Yes. John Perez, is this strike you is my making any sense. This is like yeah, you're totally making sense. The Grammys catch up really late. It was great to see a key talk, come on. Yes, Jimmy and Terry, yes, it was nice to see Jimmy with his keytar. Her is someone who is extremely acclaimed in the context of award shows, but has not totally had the radio and other catalog that's totally caught up to that, although it is starting to balance out. But yeah, she had a couple of hits last year. A couple radio hits. I just wonder..

"Am my peaches out in your. Way from California do you hear that? That is an artiste. That's cooking. That is Justin Bieber. The introduction to peaches at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards, which happened last night, Sunday Night in Las Vegas, Justin, trying to let you know, he's a man now. He's a grown-up. He's a serious artist, capital S capital a, RT, IST. Justin Bieber is not going to show up at the piano just anywhere, but he is going to show up at the Grammys. We're going to talk about the show and my brief hot take before I introduce everybody is it's not as bad as I feared, but we're going to get into specifics of why I am joined by the critical gang John Perez chief pop music critic of The New York Times. I wasn't more critical larger than The New York Times. Hi, everybody. Lindsey Zola's beloved pop music writer. Hello. Hello. Still awake. Okay. There's a lot, okay. Look. Do I really want to be here? Okay, I want to, before we start, before we get into it, I want to open with a question that I hope everybody has an answer to. And this is important. Quickly, without thinking, name one John batiste song that's not freedom. We are the best song on the album. Wesley, that's not my whole joke. That's not my whole thing. That's all right. Okay, John batiste won album of the year. Wesley, since you have volunteered yourself. Okay, let's keep it a buck. Joe also wanted everybody to know that he's protesting the Grammys from this point forward because they bear no connection to actual lived music culture. Wait a minute, why is he starting now? Yeah, exactly. I mean, I said that Joe, I said to him earlier today, he has arrived at the kind of like uncanny valley of Grammy perspective where I think we have all reached maybe at different phases in our careers. The best part about that is when you come out, your brain is totally smooth. And you no longer feel any stress or pain. So that's kind of where I'm living, but Joe is like deep in the hole right now. I'm kind of with Joe. You're still there. You're still living there. But you can name a John batiste song. I'm an institutionalist. But don't indict me, John. Don't try to indict me. First of.

"Perez is coming for showing Otani at the old Star break. When Otani was the Ailes starting pitcher, it was Perez that was his starting catcher. Otani had a 12 homer cushion over the Casey back. Stop swing and a high fly ball deep left center field way back, and that ball is gone. Another home run for Salvador Perez. His 40th Perez is the sixth primary catcher ever to hit 40 home runs in a season and he's now the closeness. He's been to the Angels stars since June 18th and a high drive well hit right center that goes Goodwin and John Perez. Has done it again. Casey catcher went deep twice on Saturday, his major league leading sixth multi home run game of the season, the most in a season Royals history en route to becoming the second Royal with a 40 home run campaign. Here's the pitch. He swings and hits this one well deep to left field. That's the way back and it hits the top of the wall and goes over. "Be staff accordingly to to think about virtual in order complex. Things that you're thinking about and so really really tricky. As far as thinking through the changing landscape and changing environment. But i think the nice kind of silver lining is that you know digital has really shown that it has been able to help and and be affected and some of these spaces and you think about things like rebuilding consumer confidence and helping patients and folks really understand that you know. Were safe to go back into the health system environment has been tricky and health systems across the country have really been enabling digital to help with some of those strategies. And you know that's something that we could spend a whole jazz on. And i you know i probably wouldn't be the experts at talk right. I tap of my key folks at obvious who were those. They're thinking about some of these bigger broader consumerism. Type of efforts folks like know saying the mvp and really drives all our consumerism work. At obviously i mean she's in these type of conversations with just about every system that we have and so it's tricky stuff. It's tricky stuff. Yeah but you know. Just being surrounded with people that are at the forefront of it whether it be health systems the thought leaders at your organization john or or even beyond you know some of the companies putting together some of the solutions it. That's how you get it done. What are you most excited about today. That's a really good question because again like there's lots of excited about but you know also were in the midst of a pandemic so there's a lot to be sad and concerned and confused about but i mean from my perspective. Cova has really shined light a really bright spotlight on a lot of the great work that we do at at abuja and really just the broader importance of digital. so what. what i'm most excited about is that health are not stopping. Their spending digital bekker's actually came out with a really interesting article on. They did a survey of kind of the cfo's across the country cfo's and senior leaders across the country and came back with a couple of things. So the i was you know. Only twelve percent of cfo's expect to cut or defer digital spending right and again when as we talked about in the wake of a dime right. Yeah and they're really for cash right now. Systems are very very strapped for cash and so the fact that they're not expecting to cut spending on digital is really promising and it's based and then on the flip side you know eighty one percent of cfo's and senior leaders said that there's an immediate need for digital and digital transformation for the long term survival of their so right off the bat. I mean i feel like organization is really been thinking about the imperative digital for so long and now we're really starting to see the that systems are downing in the digital space and their understanding that this is gonna be a key piece of their long-term strategy and long term survival and that's not different from any organization we just healthcare kind of you know ten twenty plus years behind and so it's exciting to actually see that that this is starting to be realized something systems and folks are acting. I mean that's that's kind of you know more more. Broadly what i'm excited about. But i mean personally. I think we've talked a little bit about this. But i just stoked to be in this role and in the in the work that i'm in at avi i mean similar use all i get to engage with and learn from some of the most amazing leaders in healthcare both on the system side right so those investors we talked about the innovation leaders and the really really sharp intelligent and experienced leaders in healthcare and on that side of the thing and those. Ceo's and entrepreneurs that are doing amazing things right and just glean all this stuff in if you ever hear our ceo and co founder. Eric lancashire speak those really talking about. He's just saying guys we get. Hey alert right. It's awesome stuff. And so i'm always joking. We live kind of dog years right where we're one year at. Avi might be seven years. You know broadly or somewhere else because we were just in the middle of so much. There's so much moving or learning so much along the way that It just gets me excited about kind of one just the space but to the incredible opportunity to be have to really make a difference in healthcare. More broadly yeah. That's so great. John and you know being in the middle of it all. You're learning a ton. And you're helping others leveraged those learnings to do even better with digital so. I mean just incredible work that you're up to their and the team is up to their. I love if you could just share closing thought with us. And then we're the listeners could reach out to you to find out more. Yeah absolutely so you know this was actually something that came across recently from one of my health system members and magana occupied blinded but the key contact there she said you guys it You help us understand two things. One were not as far behind as we think we are and to were really not as far ahead as we think we are either and like that statement just kind of suck with me and holds true in a number of spaces right most your personally and through true professionally in healthcare and other organizations and so that kind of opened my eyes to how we can really learn from each other as a network has an ecosystem and so i just wanted to leave that parting thought and then as far as getting in contact Any of your listeners can reach out to me on. My email is j. perez at at obvious dot health. Don't be shy would love to connect and you can always learn more on obviously more broadly at our website..

"Who have worked and acted in four to six weeks to build out and deploy a texting capability. And so right. We all the old examples of the cleanliness and the challenges of lining stakeholders a lot of that has been burnt out the window and it systems are moving quicker right there moving faster than than they ever have before. And so you know trying to continually work on your oranization keep things nimble and being able to move fast and kind of learn from your mistakes has been a big shift that we've seen in our health system network and i think that's proving to be a really really good value. Add for some of these systems that are are just trying to block and tackle and now that things are kind of coming down. Although i wouldn't say that think through how do they redesign their organizations to accomplish the things from a long term strategy. Protect them not. I think that's great. You know. I mean and the other point there is wave to so if it has happened. How do you prepare yourself. That's what everyone's asking for great. Everyone's really asking that question right now. It's how do we best prepare ourselves. Wave to or what might even be wave three or just really the dynamic nature i think of the environment a good example actually had a good conversation with the health system recently. And they're trying to design you know their virtual health strategy to be pretty nimble and understand that wall right now. We're not seeing many inpatient as a freight were seeing a lot of virtual visits. But we know that that's going to change over the course of the next month and year. How do we design an operation that just lets us flex kind of up and down right. And what are the considerations there like. How are.

"Have health systems that have they've received strategic value right from their investment because they're leveraging technology that they invested in a potentially right to support of their really tricky times with cope. And you know. They really paved the way for an actual cash capital. Roi return down the road so just kind of one example of a handful of cases of how we derive a lot of great values group so john fascinating work that you guys are doing there and the twisted example. Just super interesting way that everybody wins. Tell us a little bit about the setbacks. We learn more from the setbacks we experienced than the winds. So what is one of those and maybe a key learning that you pull from that. That's made you guys better. Yeah absolutely and i think that's a really good question for us right because we've been doing this for a few years but we're still relatively young in the space and so we're constantly learning and working through challenges and kind of picking things up along the way but if i were to pinpoint one key one for us it's really timing. Timing is a really really big challenge for our work. And when i say timing i mean it takes a lot of time for a health system to really align around a strategic opportunity strategic investment arm to and ultimately write a check and that takes a lot of time. If you're you know if you're more of a institutional investor more traditional vc fund. I mean you're you're still gonna i'm right. You're gonna you're gonna do your due diligence but it feels like a lot less cumbersome cross and for our group just about every single health system in the room really doesn't need to have true operational alignment within any investment. Pretend they look at it. They need to have line of sight into the fact that they're going to derive a lot of value has a customer before they write any checks and so what that means is right. It's your needs needs align with the system strategy you need to socialize the investment opportunity amongst the number of stakeholders and all of that stuff really takes time and so from our end. It's now we have to serve investment opportunities accordingly right. You can't us number changes that are weeks or even months this show away right because it's just not gonna happen right. Your systems aren't going to get a line that quickly. Maybe some might be able to really tricky and you can't service investment opportunity a year plus down the road. Because you know you'll lose. Steam was interest and in the rounds might not be even as formalized like to be so timing for us has just been been really really tricky. And it's tough but so we've kind of and it's an issue right. I mean it takes time and if you're going to write a check i mean it takes time. You wanna do your due diligence right. So how'd you guys found that sweet spot there. Yeah absolutely again learning through our kings along the way we've kinda landed on this. You know three to six months investment opportunity surfing opportunities from for about three or six months out. How can you know that that i mean. Of course the challenge there is that you know all of the needs needs to align with the best companies are really in their need for capital right. And so so still tricky. I don't know that we've been good mckiness. But i think that along with testing the waters with some different types of events especially now in the wake of coveted and are more virtual worlds right. We're testing out things. So i think if you experience maybe around one around too obvious venture network event. That might have felt more like a random walk down down digital health where it will be a handful of companies not necessarily playing in different spaces together right but interesting investment opportunities for our specific health systems. You know now. We're really toying with the opportunity of or the idea of. Hey can we look at a particular space and really think about who are the top two or three best in class companies in that space that we know from some of our diligence and a line of events. You know that way on the flip side right again. If those companies aren't ready to capitol view leave out one of the best companies just because they're not raising Probably not our going to see kind of which best in class so again. I don't know that we've perfectly now. That the the figuring this thing out along. Nah now that's really interesting. John you know in in that example. Where maybe they're not raising. But you know maybe showing support and getting. Some sort of strategic partnership alignment is just as valuable without having to write a check. Oh yeah absolutely right. So companies really come to the event for obviously two reasons right. You have the one need for capital. But also i mean it's a fantastic customer base right and so we've had many companies come through or they don't necessarily secure out check from one of the investors but they do absolutely secure customer and that's obviously a fantastic outcome from the company's perspective because they're really really great group of a customer base as well. Yeah yeah and so as the organizer of the events the matchmaking events. I mean you guys win if either happens right because you're providing that environment where the health systems can find these sort of relationships and investment opportunities. Yeah you're spot on right. All of the dotcoms are great for us. Because at the end of the day we wanna help our health systems and not only just our health system investors but align with really great did opportunities that are going to move the deal for them. Strategic wise and these companies are really looking for key health system clients to prove out either their capability or just grow and expand when the ever changing landscape of healthcare. And so you know. From perspective at least venture network. You folks might be confused but we're not really a side car fund. We don't invest directly right and so from a matchmaker respective. it's really just. Can we drive the best outcomes for both parties. And if that happens in we're we're happy as clams. What would you tell any health system leaders listening now. that maybe aren't members of omnia. How can they learn morin. What would you encourage them to consider as we go through tough times. Cove ed the front door to the health system forever changed you know what what encouragement would you give them john. Yeah that's that's a really really good question especially with things. Changing you know so much in the wake of code and how i mean we have Probably just a good example of this right we have a. I heard a couple weeks ago from a health system that i work with you know. They're trying to. They're trying to build out and integrate some of their texting capabilities and over the past year and a half. It took about a year and a half to organize really two or so use cases to secure the texting capability and how to best engage with patients. You know that's pre covent postcode. We've had examples of health systems..

"That's really great. And you know the opportunity is capital but also the other opportunity is having somebody interested in using your right. So it's the distribution method there. Tell us a little bit more about that. Yeah yeah it's it's it's absolutely you know to a big aspects of value. Ray you have have capital and investment and you have aligning yourself as a customer and in two big buckets right. And so if i were to say you know we're the value of the venture network comes from right and what that looks like is actually put it as kind of two different sides of the coin so really on the first side of the coin. You have this strategic investor side right and you have. How do we help our health systems from that perspective and my take is really there. There aren't many if any organizations that have a better pulse on the digital healthcare landscape. Today right we talked about that. That's kind of her day job. That's day one for us at abuja and things like you know what are the trends power. Companies uniquely position. You know who's seeing the market traction within the space and so that gives us a really incredible unique vantage point to service some of these carry investment opportunities where you also look within our space of kind of how our health systems happened to their the network from adventure perspective and thinking about things like their socializing betting investment opportunities amongst each other. You know socializing. Their portfolio companies added value from that perspective. And really you know. Can they leverage some of the experience from the broader group to put him bus practices that their specific organization so in the health system side at that really puts us in a really unique position. If you combine all those things but masao kind of what you were getting at right is the value added from a company perspective. Is i think as you kind of touched on right. The statement holds true. Capital is not all the same. And you know great. Ceos and entrepreneurs really see that a lot of the folks that you know you interview on a daily basis that right and there's so much value in aligning with a strategic health system investor. It goes way beyond just the cash the check right and this group homes a really really interesting valuable source of capital for companies. That really see that. And so you know we we kind of sit in the middle of those two really help connecting kind of both parties and it's challenging right if you're a healthcare organization looking to see what's out there you know and maybe you have a strategic investment arm. Mike a third of the group does. Maybe you don't but the reality is there still a ton of companies out there that are doing great things some that are not and how do you know and then the other thing is integration into the system. How long is taking right in. A big factor is trust and getting through a lot of the due. Diligence oftentimes accompany could get bought or go out of business. Have you seen some of this. John and tell me a little bit more about you. Know what makes obvious different and better than what might be available to these health systems today. Yeah absolutely and i think it's such a changing landscape and not only just more broadly but even now in the wake of code. Things are changing at such a rapid pace. That it's really really hard to keep your finger on the pulse. And so i mean if i think about you know what makes us different in the market. I feel like i kind of touch base on that right. Just before and the differences between you know health systems and companies in the value they gleaned from our work specifically. But if i if i were to talk about value and just overall improved outcomes right i really just walked through. Maybe just a memory sample of some of our work and past. Yeah yeah that'd be great. Yeah the best way to talk about is an example and all of this is public information so you know how to respect our members. All blinded formation. Yeah absolutely but so early. Last year we surfaced a company through one of our textile event services to company called trestle and the twists will is their their company. That's tackling kind of care plan automation and patient engagement. More broadly but at the end of the day. They're kind of really laser focused on you know how. How do we better engage. Patients their digital in kind of a scalable way right at the end of the day improve patient outcomes kind of their niche and through our process they received a ton of interest from the broader group and and actually openly one of our health systems co lead the route which is fantastic and so they raised a total of sixteen million and actually we ended up. Having to other health systems. Investors joined the route. So now you have you know one company three strategic tulsa semesters all together so that's an exciting outcome from from our perspective rates so as a company you have three big brand name health system as strategic investors that are really packed onto your effort and either they are current clients break. Because that's some might be might need to kind of have that in place in order to invest or their hopefully future clients. And but i.

"And how can i best clung you and all the great stuff that we have the resources the diligence and you know. Help you go jimmy done. That's one and then as you mentioned too and we're will spend most of the time. Today is the lead for obvious venture network and at a high level right obvious venture network is really if you took the fifty plus systems in the broader network about a third or a quarter of them have strategic investment arm or adventure branch and that is associated with their system and they look to invest capital alongside adopted technologies and so our whole venture network is really focused on supporting that subset of members and all really started about three years ago where one of our more gung ho investor health systems really just raised their hand at the have you right worship investor. We know there are some other ones in the network. Can you just put us in a room. Let's just talk. Best practices investment strategies and learn from each other. And so starting there you know we have just grown a ton which is interest in this space and venture capital in the healthcare ecosystem. So now we're at a spot where we have over a dozen helpless ministers in in bencher network right there collectively worth over three quarters of a billion in total assets under management and we've now really surfaced over thirty direct digital here companies investing opportunity to that group so exciting stuff within that space. And if i were to just give a little bit of color on kind of the nuts and bolts right you can really understand mentioned at work by understanding anchor ourselves and really these quarterly shark tank style where we'll take the twelve system investors. "Really for for digital kind of play a role into the healthcare space. And so you take take that and fast forward decades later and the processes are still pretty clumpy right you. There's there's still lots of administrative ways and you know. I'm just super grateful and fortunate to be sitting in a position. Where truly the epicenter. And kind of smack dab in the middle of what we're seeing as the healthcare digital transformation revolution more broadly today. Yeah that's great. I mean just picture you there on the floor papers everywhere trying to figure this thing out and that a hobby moments like wow. This could be so much better. And hey you. Are you know many years later pursuing that mission with obvious. So folks you've listened to a couple of interviews with other leaders at abuja on the podcast. Bruce and amy and you know they're helping. Healthcare organizations unlock the power of digital and so john as exciting to get you on here to talk more about the venture side of things and so tell us a little bit more about how the business is adding value to the healthcare ecosystem around venture. Yeah yeah absolutely. And you know maybe just the set the stage and provide a little bit of context for those listening and who who don't know obviously kind of more. Broadly obvious really. A network of fifty plus leading health systems across the country systems all shapes and sizes big small academic community base royal urban. And no really. They're all aligned around one key thing it's how can we best leverage digital to move the needle at organization and so we obviously partner with our systems in a number of different ways right. Starting you know all the way the top with things like enterprise strategy and how can we help systems think through what are some of those really big moves those big things that we need to be thinking about in order to stay competitive and relevant in healthcare market. Today all the way down to you know. Hey i'm really trying to pick the right solution company partner to help us. You know take better care of our patients at home for example and you know. Can you help us. Pick and align the right solution partner for us in the monitoring space and so you know you. I feel like all people get the joke. Great at it. We know that digital is massively important in healthcare right. And you know you can spend a ton of time interviewing some of the most inspiring leaders that are tackling some really really complex challenges but the reality in our world is just so much noise out there and you have every company touting. He holds a degree in biomedical engineering. From vanderbilt and works out of chicago here like myself and i'm so privileged to have him on the podcast today to dig into a little bit about venture in really healthcare but how health systems can best leverage their position and how to best position their strategy as relates to venture. And so jon. Thank you so much for joining us today. Yeah thanks so much for having me solid excited to be here. Yes so before we dive in would love to hear more about you. John and what inspires your work in healthcare. Yeah absolutely and i really grew up in a medical household so i to amazing physician parents. My mom was a pediatrician. My dad's plastic surgeon and so right off the bat you have to total opposite end of the spectrum but you know it really did kind of two things growing up. I made it really really hard for me to fake being sick and the kid and and second you know it really introduced me into health care and jump started my career within healthcare at a really young age and so i had the good fortune of being able to spend a ton of time with my mom at her pediatric office working summers and kind of part time and really got familiar with full patient journey from end to end i got to spend time scheduling billing collections. Kind of the whole nine yards. And you know one key thing that ended up being a big part of is the transition from her office from paper telectronic right to paper to mr. And you know you can picture it. You'd see me kind of locked away in a room Charts all over the floor or scanning into the system. And i'm trying to piecemeal you know what were some of the processes that happen when this was paper. And what are these prostitutes gonna look like when we're now leveraging digital and we're in the new system and talk about the the easiest way to get some hands on experience into just kind of the overall clunky -ness of healthcare a you have a piece meal you know processes and a lot of administrative burden just in the overall health system. And so i. I really got exposure to that at a at a very young age and probably what i didn't fully appreciate at the time is just a massive opportunity for technology and.

"Newsroom. They caught the david bustards Guy they did yes arrested him yesterday. and this is something that's kind of been shot somebody at dave and buster's what is going to outside of dave and buster's so it was a fight that started like ten to twelve people involved. Some do chuck the bottle. And that's how i got started david bus. It's not how many okay i i worked at. Dnb for three years. I am. I am the game. You're not winning tickets. I am stunned that this didn't happen sooner to be completely honest with you because it would get rowdy on saturday nights drunk like people get drunk off their ass and we would toss people all the damn time so this isn't to have a full bar there. They had to. They have to full bars there. I mean i. I liked that place. My kids would have a good time there. But now i'm afraid it's it's the. It's the late friday and saturday night crowd. It is a great place. I love the people that still work there. You know some of them are still are not gonna wreck. It's okay. I know but i got cover my ass. You know how to but you know but yeah sometimes people will get extremely rowdy there. You wouldn't think they would but they do. And then this denic. Let's get out. The think is the best business to own as one. That doesn't include. People wholeheartedly agree with that. Yes wholeheartedly agree with that. So this started inside the restaurant or bar. Cade whatever you wanna call. It spilled out into the parking lot. And that's when this guy. John perez gotten his car grabbed a gun and shot some in the back in the bath. Which means he's a coward and luckily the guy is going to be okay but the other thing that happened here is three weeks before this happened peres actually was arrested for pulling a gun on women so so he shot a guy in the back and then pulled a gun on two girls. Yeah so three weeks before that. He pulled a gun on two girls through murder them he was given five thousand dollars bond posted ten percent and got out. But this is what that problem is more in the news. Yeah more and more in the news find out that these violent offenders are getting released for little or no bond and then not long after that. They actually do come around. This started happening around november. A flood of new judges. just letting. oh what did do whatever i forgive. You seem like yeah. Yeah okay i mean. It's a learning on the job kind of a gang right. You're gonna make mistakes just you know when you make him as a judge. Make them big. It's like oh you pulled a gun on two women and said i'm gonna kill you and your sorry okay. Let them let them grow fun day. One five thousand dollars post five hundred bucks. And i'm sure that five thousand dollars was earned too that he bailed out with only had to tap post ten percent right. So what does that. That's a hundred bucks. Jesus all right. Wow for pulling a gun. Two girls any bounded bonded out with five hundred. He probably had down on his in his pocket. Whoever he carjacked right before he got arrested. This is why we carry pepper spray. This is why i stay home. Police by the way. Do expect to make more arrests. So i would hope so. Yeah who who would they. Why bother why waste the gas money to go. Get somebody interested and bring him in front of the judge. Why waste adjudge time. Just tell them to go to florida because he's going to let him out anyways right more importantly missing on really great night of dave and buster's so why bother that's crazy so everybody's just getting out for stuff. Well we had that guy that called into our show. They got carjacked. He was shot. Carjacked and the guy. They stole the car and then where was that there was a it was here somewhere anyways but he. He got carjacked. He called in to our show and told us about the insurance. Won't pay him for his injuries or anything because it wasn't a it was an act of god or something they said it was random violence or whatever so it wasn't planned it was like the guy was hiding into bushes and when i pulled up he jumped out and shot me and took my car. That seems playing. He was shot. Yeah and he was shot. Why do you pay insurance. What and the guy is on trial for murder to shot somebody else and take their car and killed a person. I say this and my wife works at an insurance company. I hate insurance yes. It's true the more you pay the more excuses. You gotta get not to get that money. Do you know no. I don't even know if it was worth a toyota corolla. So it's okay if it's a jack a honda civic so that guy will probably get out five hundred bucks. That's right well. thanks rick cheated. Welcome he's from the Seven hundred ww newsroom. You know that story. No yeah kings island. And dave buster's they're having troubles because everybody's an aide whole case be nice to each other. It's not worth. It's not worth having a businesses that involves people coming into your establishment. It's true lost at papa. Shot or something. Maybe upset about that kid chris. Shout is one or two seven. Wbz and phones ring. And we'll get to them coming up. Your calls always welcome on a friday especially on a call to wall kolya dave. I love Aaron lewis from stained. Now if you walked out in a body glove wetsuit and sort of going and it's been a while people them don't go to dave and buster's shot outside of david busters.
