Massage therapists sue Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson
"Is disgruntled in Houston. But that's just the football aspect of night ago. He was also swinging back at the filing of a lawsuit against him alleging inappropriate conduct during massages. That lawsuit filed Tuesday. Then on Wednesday, a second lawsuit by a second planet Though both lawsuits are filed by the same attorney. The second suit, claiming Watson's behavior is quote part of a disturbing pattern of preying on vulnerable women. John McClane from the Houston Chronicle. And what we have your two of the most renowned the parties in the country. Rusty Harden, a turning to the superstars in sports. And Tony Busby, who is a wealthy developer Rooms, a law firm has been on the cover of New York Times Magazine. He's tell May all Head here. He's the one that's filed two lawsuits on the half of plaintiffs, one here and one in Atlanta, charging inappropriate sexual behavior and watchin retained Rusty Harden. His list of clients is extremely long, and he's an outstanding attorney. And so we haven't seen a response from Watts and since the lawsuit Became public and the Texans and the NFL had the response. You would expect they're aware of it. They're gathering information. And so I have no idea. What direction it's going to go. How would affect other teams that they would lowball? The Texans is something's that back away. But you know this pretty. They're gonna want these issues resolved. It was NFL investigate. And that could take a long time. Antonio Brown's has still not been resolved since last off season. So there's so much out there, Freddy about which direction it could go. And right now, nobody has any idea when I say the word timing regarding all of this. What do you say? Bad, bad timing for everybody all around bad for the Texans when they want to maximize what they can get from Watson. I've been saying they should pick the Jets and the Dolphins 2nd 3rd in the first round against each other. I have seized rivals and get the maximum deal. You know their stories about Carolina willing toe. Sacrifice the farm to get into the problem with the Panthers. There's eight overall pick, and there's no guarantee of getting a franchise quarterback that general measure necessary a likes. And so there's other reports. He wants to go to Denver. I don't know why. And then San Francisco. I can't understand wanting to play for Palestinian, but they got Jimmy Garoppolo. For while there was talk of Washington, But Washington has solved this problem, at least with free agents. So This to me is not good for watching and it's not good for the Texans.

"I think we're in the same line of thinking that you absolutely give up those pics to go get a player of the Sharm Watson's calibers 25 26 years old, and it's just ridiculous. Top seven quarterback in the league We're in lock step. It's not even a question, And you're the worst part to the most frustrating part. I mean, a lot of it's frustrating these the same people that 235 years from now, whatever quarterback that they want to roll up next year or in the future struggle. 62 of the first people calling for everyone said Why don't we trade for the show? Wanted careers? I said We should have traded for three first round picks up to steal. What the hell is wrong with you? It's Yeah, So here's what I'll say to everyone, too, because I do believe if Wilson or Watson Here's the obvious take of the day. If they do get traded. It will be for a hall. But I'm hearing people say like it's going to be 78 picks and two or three players. I think it's going to be 20 and return. I don't think it's going to get to that drastic of measures because I really think what people are underestimating here. Is the leverage of the players here. Like I love John McClane. John McClane keeps on pushing, though the Jets and the Dolphins. Why, because of what the Jets and the Dolphins could offer and how many early picks the too early pictures they have in this year's draft. So I get why you're bringing up the jets of the Dolphins. But what happens if the Shawn Watson doesn't want to go to the Jets of the Dolphins? It doesn't matter that if you're the jet, you have five first round picks an extra years. Dolphins have four first round picks. In the next few years. If he doesn't want to go there, you can't make a trade for him. Because he has a no trade clause. So it depends how long the list is for the show Martin for Russell Wilson, who I don't think getting traded this offseason. It was only a 14 list and one of those teams already out of it now because that just signed a four year extension yesterday for $160 million with 100 and 26 million of that guaranteed. So if it comes down to just the Raiders The Bears and the Saint. Yeah, there will be a bidding war, but it's gonna be like 78 picks for Russell Wilson Plus We're talking, maybe two players. I don't think it gets to that much. And for Watson, the unknown thing And we've heard differentiating reports one day he's interested the Jets one day he's not. You've heard that he's had dinners with Miami players already. San Francisco's in the mix of the Bears of the mix. We don't know. Carolina. We thinks in the mix, they're going to do everything they want. But if Watson says to the Texans, and he's already said he wants to be traded, he's not coming back. That I only want to go to two or three teams..

"And John McClane has said that multiple times He's like I still don't think he's gonna get moved. But that being said, we do have to explore the possibilities. And the only thing that I guess I slightly even bothered by I think anything guaranteed during this time. That part doesn't always ring consistent for me because we could say like we thought for a long time that the you know Shawn Watson wouldn't have a lot of interest necessarily here or the Broncos would not be in play necessarily here. Well, you know, there's been so many things since then, with the cream Jackson whether you take that for Just take it on face value him talking to Shawn Watson. You have the jury. Judy comment, which again? I thought was more put being put on the spot. But the point is, is there been other things that kind of tie back to the Shawn Watson? Just keeping his options open. So my point is, is that there are no guarantees. There are no stone cold locks. So if you want to continue to believe that the Broncos are still in the mix here. I mean, they might be, you know, mean things seem changed all of a sudden the Jets in the Dolphins. They decide they don't want it And we Carolina says, you know, it's too rich. The Broncos are one of the last team standing, and that could happen, so I don't necessarily love guarantees at this juncture that that's just my This is my opinion on. Yeah, and that's that was kind of way I felt like that was strong language from John's right. That's what I'm saying. We're a team like man. That's wow, that's really going to mix. It made the rounds like you, you tweeted out, people were tweeting out like John McClane guarantees. That the Broncos will not get to John Watson. It's like, man. I mean, right now, you wanna guarantee where February 19th like you really want to guarantee that the Broncos will have no shot at this is like you don't know what? You don't know what's gonna happen here. In a month from now, when free agency opens or in two months from and we were getting close to the draft. I mean, all of a sudden everything can shift anything. It should be. The Broncos wanna be involved, they'll find a way to put themselves in the mix. It may not be enough, though, And that's the one thing big takeaway so come away from John McClane. Whether speculation or directly from the source. The Texans, It may not be enough, and that's where I think we almost need to kind of continue to live in understanding that the Broncos have an uphill climb just because the amount of compensation that they can actually offer Yeah, And I think that's I think that's the other part of this is what I think John McClane was saying they're about by guaranteeing the Broncos. What I think he was driving at is that I don't think that he thinks that the Texans think to make this convoluted. That the Broncos can field a strong enough offer relative to what some of these other teams will field. I don't think the Broncos are willing to part with the pieces that the sum total Of an offer that other teams would would be willing to part with the New York Jets. Having the number two overall pick would guarantee them at least the second best quarterback in this draft, or at least the second best quarterback. They feels the best quarterback in this draft. And so you know, I just don't feel like I know that Broncos fans and it's It's exciting. Yeah, everybody would be excited. Think about the Shawn Watson course absolutely would be ecstatic to have that every team out there. You know, uh, the same time? I just don't feel like that. They think that the Broncos can feel that kind of offer at the end of the day. Um, you know, maybe they do. Maybe that happens. But I would prefer to deal in reality. That's what we do on the show What we've always done in the show what I do on Twitter on DSA. Oh, it's I just don't understand the people that, um, kind of living that delusion. You know, as it were. Give me to get to a couple texts. Hear this from Jared. Maybe Watson needs to speak for himself and bring some light to the situation. Well, yes. On the one hand, you'd like that. But on the other, if he does, he's gonna have to start throwing people under the bus on and it puts him in a bad spot. So it for me. Watson needs to communicate with the Texans. Yes, that's what you really need to do. You don't want to You don't put yourself in a position where you're throwing Other players or your teammates. So your your coaches so your front office out of the bus. You don't wanna do that publicly..

"Was it? A discussion point at all? Do you think behind the scenes? Oh, yeah. I talked about it because they knew they had a Depending on what the cap is it supposed to be more than 1 80. But let's say is 1 80. Then he would've counted 12.1 against a kid. I mean, 17.5 against the cap with the team in the red by 12.1. So he wipes out their cat problem and gives General manager Nick a stereo money to spend. But I think in this case coming there made that decision because Jasmine there Controlling owner lets him make those decisions and a decision like that. Usually, he leaves it up to the head coach in the general manager at the neck, the stereo and David Cully, But In this case, I think the whole family agreed. That's what judge it wants. We're going to do it. John McClane joining me on the program. All right, John. So we shift our attention from JJ Watt to to Shawn Watson. It feels like we're at the stage now, John. We're just once a week. We get the update that both sides seem to be dug into their side of this whole thing. Let's start with the Texan side on all this. The Texans have stated publicly and privately they have no intention of trading. Shawn Watson. Are they dug in beyond the draft? Do you think what's your sense on how dug in the Texans are on this now? They say they're not trying and you say you're not riding in a major not driving up, and I wrote the thing today about what if right before the draft. Team gives them a godfather like offer And could they refuse it? But if they don't trade it by the draft in this, I think we'll go in the next season and they're gonna They only have one quarterback under contract. Besides, once in its 41 year old Josh McCown, so we're gonna have to get Quarterback. Whether it's a J. McCarron are one of the men to veterans out there who are former starters will take back up money knowing that whoever you sign there's a good chance he's gonna be your starting quarterback and regular season. And one thing I believe, and we've talked about this. On our show in sports radio, 16 and years done at some point Naked stereo and David Cully and offensive coordinator Tim Kelly, quarterback coach. Panel to need to meet with Agent David Most gathered Watson sit across the table here from once and directly why he wants out and then they have been explained their vision for turning this team around, and I believe Charge. Just my opinion. If they walked away from that meeting, convince watching was willing to go into the regular season and play the minimal number of games to be able to get credit. That season, then so next year is 35 million base salary takes the fact. Then I would seriously consider trading him because if they don't And they traded next year. They're not gonna get anywhere near what they would get for him. April 29th the first day of the draft, but you know they've not given any indication they have not. Call anybody that not fielded calls. Others say thanks. No, thanks. And But as time goes on, it's good to me. Why would you want a guy? Who is explained to you exactly why so miserable and his listen to your plan, and he still wants out Then to me, I wouldn't want to got play and that's like that. The Rockets have kept James Harden all season. So I don't see watch and pulling a hardened showing up late, not playing hard blasting his teammates..

"I don't think they are Not is currently constructed and not with some of the holes that you know the dents in the armor that we started to see in the second half of the season with them last year. 855 to 1 to four. CBS. We're gonna talk more about this with John McClane of the Houston Chronicle in the next segment, But let's keep squeezing some more of you in here. Let's go back to Cleveland, Cleveland in on this thing, man, Let's go to Sam. Sam is in Cleveland. Sam Europe on CBS Sports Radio. What's going on, Sam? I'm not think things all. How are you? I'm great. How are you? I'm well, Thank you. Access. You know, the Houston Texans They just need to think from trade wants, and they have to recoup all those pics from the previous regime that we wasted on essentially nothing. And a little revisionist history and the Rams are willing to spend all those picks to get Stepford. I wouldn't bother getting Watson instead, Susan's interdicted and spend all that capital and then not get somebody in return that I'll give you 10. Years of all of football. You know how loving football productions and Word. JJ ends up man. You know, I think the Rams would be a great place and just because the weather is going to be a lot better considering they're in a dome. There's some sort of don't like area. The weather is warm around. That's end of town and the older you get I feel like you should play in the place where you can minimize injuries on the field beyond the weather, and that's really all I gotta say. Alright. Appreciate the phone call. I've said all along. I think the Rams are a dark horse for JJ Watt. I think Matthew Stafford going there puts them in the Super Bowl conversation makes them better than the Steelers. Let me put it that way. It makes him better than the Steelers and Timmy talk about somebody to draw attention away from you. Erin. Donald. My God, right, Jay? What His brother would obviously serve that purpose in Pittsburgh. You would have six of the last What we ate. We just had 2026 of the last nine Defensive player of the Year Awards will be playing a game defensive line with the Rams. There's a little bit of Hollywood to JJ Watt to he's done some Handsome my late night talk show circuit and done some movies and things like that SNL my nose in New York thing, But you know that Hollywood vibe. So I think l a would suit him with suit him pretty well, You know, as far as your take. Hey, look, if they were going toe trade that much for Stafford, they should have just traded for Watson. The problem with that is two things one. It's gonna take a hell of a lot more to get Watson then what they gave up to get Stafford. They gave up a third this year and then a first next year and the first the following year. The Texans are gonna need to get stuff now, more than a third. They got a third. They don't have a first or second. The Rams would not have been a good trade partner for Shawn Watson in the Texans. Sean will probably go there be my guess. I mean to Shawn's Got a little L A and a swell But I don't think you can look at the Stafford deal and think that that's going to be anywhere near the ballpark. That's going to get a deal done for two Shawn Watson. The Texans can certainly look at it that way The Texans are looking at it is we're not trading the guy. In fact, this is a good segue way into our next segment. If you're on hold, stay there. I want to get through some of these JJ Watt calls. I'm enjoying this. 855 to 1 to four. CBS. If you want to get in John McClane's got a better view on this than anybody myself included. He's been covering the Texans since day one. Hey, is he's I'm sure got some takes on where JJ Watt could end up And where the Texans with Shawn Watson, John McClane, the great John McClane from the Houston Chronicle, the Hall of Famer. He will join me next to talk about that if you want to get in and get on, hold and.

"Quarterback more than talking about the draft. Significantly more. Don't take it for granted. That's a good spot to be in point, especially in Buffalo, right, like in Buffalo. It's not just that you don't have to worry about the quarterback. It's not just that you're making tweaks to the roster. It's that you got out of prison. You've been in prison for 20 years with Warden Bella check And you guys were finally able to overthrow the warden. Well, kind of You know he his main. His lead guard is his lead security officer, Tom Brady decided to move to Florida like a lot of people do in their old age. He moved to Florida. So Warden Belichick is left without Without any help. At least not enough help to contain the Buffalo bills. But that's how it's gonna feel your buffalo. Not only do we have the quarterback By Holy smokes Way air coming out of the dark. Got to feel that way for the whole division. All right, 855 to 1 to four. CBS. John McClane will join me in the next segment, and we will get his thoughts on where things stand with Shawn Watson and the Houston Texans to show John has been adamant that the Texans will not trade Watson. And yet on Twitter the last few days, John is throwing Maura Maura hypotheticals out there has he softened his stance on that. We'll talk about it with the great John McClane. Next, you're listening to CBS Sports radio. Gym room is on CBS Sports Radio Tom Brady. Listen, I don't care whether you love this car. I hate this guy. You have to tip your cap to this guy. He's headed back to the conference championship game. More specifically, he is heading back to his 14. He showed up in a new situation with a new team during a pandemic and almost single handedly changed the culture of that building, and he got them to a conference championship game in his first year at age 43.

"The main reason he's got one year left on his contract. 17 a half million. They've got a problem with the cab. Shawn Watson has 21.6 million dead cap hit and so if they were to try to release wide And say, Let him go to pitch. Martin play with his brother, T. J. Then that would wipe out there kept upset give them small money to use to say re sign of wide receiver. Will polar So Yeah, I think what will be somewhere else, And I hope for his sake it's with the Steelers are his favorite team going up the Green Bay Packers. That is John McClane of the Houston Chronicle joining us on today's show with the latest on What's going on with the Houston, Texas. John. I appreciate you making time today, man. Let's open up the phone lines 855 to 1 to 4 to 27 because the shot Watson scenario is just It's so intriguing to me. It's so interesting to me. I don't know how they fix this with the Shawn Watson And typically, if you have a player of his caliber of his pedigree that openly makes it clear I don't want to be here. That normally is crossing the point of no return. But it seems to me to me different reports on if they're actually going to trade him or not, I think they have to. I want to know what you guys think 855 to 1 to 4 to 27 year.

"From what way saw article with John McClane. John McClane got an interview with Cal McNair on Friday in the wake of Andre Johnson tweeting about this last week. I mean, this thing is a major five alarm fire right now going on in Houston. So, yeah, according to that article Theo. Only thing that's happened is account McNair into Shawn Watson Exchange text, and Cal was not at liberty to discuss what was in those texts. This isn't even a comet near thing, John. Like when I hear that I hear tell McNair is exchanging texts with the Shawn Watson. You know, I just think I think of myself communicating with my kids sometimes right? I have kids that are a couple years younger than to Sean. Like early twenties. I've got three kids and I'm on a group text with them or whatever. Um, I'm in my early fifties. There's a lot of stuff that gets lost in translation with what my kids are texting kind of to each other on the group text. You know what I mean? Like there's already that age gap in text is already a very imperfectly way for us to communicate with one another. You don't get voice inflection in nuance. And I don't know if I can take it to people who are Maura opposite end of the spectrum in terms of maybe the understanding of the lingo and charisma and everything else. They Cal McNair into Shawn Watson. So maybe it is a cow McNair think deep down, but I'm nervous about that being the mode of communication right now. What could get lost? In translation in that it's a really, really delicate time. And I don't trust this regime to be handling this thing right now. Could this be smoothed over and I know they didn't interview are they didn't even ask the interview. Eric the enemy during the first round. I don't know why maybe you do. But do you think that this could be? It Almost feels like they're gonna hire him just to try toe. Just try to appease the storm. Watson. Yeah, it's a good question. And, you know, I don't think the enemy's the only coach who to Shawn before all this started would have wanted to play for. You know what I mean? Like he said great things about Maddie brief loose the D. C in Indianapolis, who they interviewed. Yesterday, he said good things to say about other guys when directly asked about guys and I think people need to understand to Sean hasn't been standing on a on a you know, on a soapbox campaigning for Eric, the enemy it gets construed that way. Sometimes because one the enemy is the hottest candidate out there, seemingly although there's four teams that have picked a different direction to go in to do, Shawn has said nice things about him before. "John McClane joining me at CBS Sports Radio John I think if you look at New England on you look at J. J. What if J. J Watt had the profile? He has right now, and he were playing for Bill Belichick. There's a good chance of Bill Bill. There's a chance Bella check might have moved on from JJ a year ago, let alone getting to the point where he's in the last year of his deal. Just because of how Bella check kind of You know, handles and treats players and swap them out. You know, tries to, you know, buy low and sell high that kind of thing with that in mind, Now that we know who the general manager of the Texans is going to be. It's going to be Nick Kiss area. You've been steadfast all along that you think JJ want is going to be back next year. Now that Nickie stereos the GM, do you still feel as strongly about that? Well, first of all, I never thought that go back to the New England. Well, I never put the stereo on my list of candidates. I got a couple of right Not to stereo, but that's the way the Patriots do business that he wants us to think you know, he was gonna be true to himself. He's gonna There's gonna be used in way and But if he operates the way they do with the Patriots Lot will be gone or you'll have a restructured contract and take a pay cut, and I know he's not going to take a pay cut. I thought all along you get like restructured deal giving a one year Stands in the lowest can't figure But if indeed could stereo does it that way, then Judge Joe while be traded, if he is, I hope it's the Pittsburgh so I can be with his brothers, John. How's that gonna go with JJ walk its trade? I mean, this here here, you know, this town's ready. They're ready to burn the stadium down right now, because the rumors about the Sean being disgruntled that they trade JJ Watt. Holy crap. First of all that all the bowing down Jack used to be, even though it'll be it'll be necessary of doing it. But anything that happens to the Texans negatives gonna be blamed on Easter be including when they start losing. It's raining like crazy here, and I'm certain he used to be spot. But what I think if they were gonna do that, if JJ would come out has to be traded and saved like to go to, uh, Pittsburgh. I think fans here with would understand it, and, uh, But I don't know that. What would do that? That doesn't say his see my gives them Oh, based on everything we know about him over these last 10 years. John, We got about a minute left. I want to circle back to dish on because that's the biggest story going on here right now. And do you think? Look, I know you said he's not gonna be traded. I agree with you. Um, did Shawn is not going to hold out this season? I agree with you on that dish on If he's as mad as people say he is, though, does he have any sort of recourse to at least make things uncomfortable for the Texans in some way, And do you think he's wired to even do that? Well, you and I have covered him since he got here. And I would say no. He keeps talking about he wants to win. He wants the Lombardi 12 P. Well, if you're trying to help the team somehow the whole in outer not showing up. Does that mean You're doing everything you can to win. Especially when you have hard $56 Million contract. No one watching the way we do. Uh, somehow it'll all be blown over like it did after the Hopkins trade. He didn't like that. Why didn't like it? Nobody liked it. Bill O'Brien got roasted for it and still does get most important, But I think based on what I've heard about stereo, he'll be able to smooth it over what he ought to get when the Bucks round the playoffs. Have Tom Brady called watching and talk to him about this area. Okay, There you go. And you get a reference from from Tom Brady from the goat as they say, John McClane. John McClane is the go to He's the general and appreciate appreciate him jumping and John really appreciate you making time on a Sunday evening. Get back to watching football and I'll talk to you on Wednesday here locally on the show. Sean. Thank you very much, and I look forward to it. All right. Good stuff. John John McClane joining us here on CBS Sports Radio. All right, so, John McClane says no way the Texans trade to Shawn Watson. Nicolas Aereo is going to be able to smooth this thing over you. Okay? Let me just tell you guys something that's going on in the studio here and I've shared this with my local audience. I don't know if it's gonna work out for me here with Nick Assyria being the GM of the Texans, because about one out of every four or five times, I say his name Siri thinks that I'm talking to her on my phone, and she starts saying things and talking back to me in the middle of the show. Because I say Nikki's cereal and she hears Siri and she's like, what is it that you would like me? You know, she does. She does Siri things, So I really just that you know, Nick, this area might be a great GM. I just I'm going to need him to change his last name. Smith or Jones or something That doesn't sound like Siri. All right. Two hours and we got two to go. We got a lot more football talk. No, they say the corona virus pandemic, of course. I'm I'm paraphrasing the article. Uh, variety dot com and Reuters Both reported apparently in Kaia Hogan County. Regal has moved theaters at Crockett. I don't know what is in New York. Regal is movie theaters of Crocker parking. Leslie. Great Northern Mall, Middleburg Town Square, Richmond Town Square, Richmond High. We don't need to know all that. Yeah. The tipping point, according to Reuters, was the delayed release of the new James Bond film No time to die, which, ironically, has now become Regal's time to die. Cleveland is the city in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, So yeah, OK, alright. On it. Yeah, The tipping point was the delayed release of James Bond Ville. No time today that moved from November until April, 2021 Well, according to CNBC. This is a temporary shuttering of thie more than 500 theaters that this is a story written by CNBC on today. So today at 1 35 eastern The writers bit that I'm looking at is also from today and they've got a CEO date. AM Muecke grin, Inger told CNBC. Wow, That's a name. His name's Mookie. Told CNBC today. The theater chain made the decision to close the location because there aren't enough blood on Halloween, a very spooky movie quote. We are now like a kind of grocery shop that has no food to sell, he told Squawk Alley. The parent will temporarily shutter the parent of Regal Cinemas will shutter temporarily. It's more than 500 theatres as well. 127 Senate Worlds And picture house locations in the UK So they're just so it sounds like they're just trying to hibernate. Is what it sounds like. This article could to use that movie theaters were allowed to reopen at 25% capacity in places. Wow. They mentioned New Jersey 5%. Yeah, I actually saw an article yesterday. It was It was in my news feed, right? Like the Google suggestions of things that you might wantto might want to read about. And the title looks really good like it was about how movies in the 19 eighties specifically 1988 where diehard came out for sure. John McClane, the character Bruce Willis's John McClane from never forget Nakatomi Towers. Yeah, exactly. Great movie one of the best. Ah, and so the headline of this story. We just pull it pull it up here. I can't actually read the thing because it's on a New York Times site. Which means you can't read the thing. Ah, well, you know, it's gonna let me read it Now. That's good. Anyway, the headline UN coup wth cranky and rude movies in 1988 were a far cry from today and films like Die Hard Cocktail in a fish called Wanda Characters were allowed obscene, neurotic and mean. Now the edges air razor it off. And I thought I was to be an interesting article about you know how cool you know Movies used to be and how ossified they've gotten today. That's at least what the title and subtitle made it sound like, but I couldn't get down past the third paragraph. But in paragraph two The guy who's writing it who I presume lives in either New York or New Jersey, because he's working for the New York Times, and he mentions being around that area. Wesley Morris. Hey says that they were going to go see 10 it, which is the only movie really of words has been released since the pandemic. Basically, that's been released at some theaters, right like there's Ifyou're theaters are open in your area. Then you could go and see this one movie. Of course they're selling. You know they're showing old movies from like theeighties in the night, which is cool, But I just want to read this. Sentence or the few sentences for you. The conditions were optimal. Newjersey caps theater attendance at 25% and my boss rented out the entire house as a precaution. So a few of my colleagues and I sat rows apart and agreed to remain masked the entire time. It was lonely, he says. And then he goes on to actually criticized the movie that he was watching. But I just thought What it must be like to live in that level of fear. You're so afraid of going to the movies that your boss rented the entire theater, which could only have 25% of the people in it, period. So he paid for whatever the costs, 25% of the seats rented the entire theater. So this guy and a few as he describes it of his colleagues. Could go and sit rose apart from one another and wear masks the entire time just so they could watch a movie. That's how arguably right about it, and that's how frightened that this guy is. So it's like, What's this guy really going to say? Now? I don't really want to read his article because, you know he's talking about how movies and characters have their edges worn off these days. Well, yeah, it's because of people like you come in here, so no balls who are so ossified that they you know, won't even go to the movie theaters without a mask on constantly on being sat rows away from people. Why would Like the characters are being are matching their audience. It seems to be I'm speechless. We.

"Not Here He is on vacation. John McClane is hanging out. I am. How are you doing on that? Podcast? That dirty John Podcast still listening. You? What are you connecting to my mind? I just thought Tonight. I'm going to talk about or try to work in The show that's based on the Betty Broderick murderer, and we didn't discuss any of this during a commercial break. Oh, my gosh! Wow! That's cool. OK, we are. Oh, my God. Yes, They're getting cycles. Do you think of Eyes that time. Nobody So we talked about you got me into listening to this podcast isn't dirty John. It's season two. So if you'd never listen to the first Dirty John podcast, and I think the show's kind of hokey with Connie Britton, it's not that great from what I heard. Yeah, I skipped over that one side, and I've not heard good things about it. But the podcast is freaking excellence. It's from the L A times. Yes. So this is a completely different story. But it is just a cz. Good. I think I actually wanted more. I wish there were more episodes. I agree by winning four episodes. And then I listen to all the supplemental episodes that air about like the writers and what where they're coming from. And how they wanted to tell the story from a different perspective. Yes, Betty Broderick was a woman who? Spoiler alert, You know, right away. I mean, this was all through the Yeah. I mean, this was all over TV. You could see it on. I don't know if it was TV at the time, but it was you could catch it during the day. The the trial, right? Yes. Yes, it was on court TV. Um, so anyway, that's that you can find out the story. There she was on Oprah. She was interviewed. She became sort of an anti hero for for women who have been abused, right? Eso. It's It's just an interesting story. So I really, really wanna watch. There's a show with Christian Slater in Amanda Peet, and it's about this and you know, I'm not a huge Amanda Peet fan. I think you will. I think, Get on her word, but you've got to stick with it. I just finished the fifth episode I believe is on tonight. Oh, go or No, it's on Wednesdays. I believe this is it's on USA Network up Is that right now, that is not a premium channel Carell's. It should be part of Ah standard. Cable pack. Okay, okay or not even I think it's you know part of it. Regular television. It isthe. I think so. I think it's one of those standard channels. Well, so good in it, and it is campy. It's gotta campy feel to it in the beginning, But if you stick with it, I haven't even looked to see what the Reald Betty project looks like. My God, her because she's described is like very beautiful, leggy. Just Ah, lot of make up pretty Amanda Peet. You know it is a beautiful girl. Yep. Woman, I guess Now Christian Slater plays the husband and he you're just going to hate him. Am I? Because I'm confused. You know the way the podcast lays out it really You sort of halfway through. You're like I don't know who was right and who was wrong? Or if I die here, excited both perspectives and tell the end which I won't spoil. Right. Here's here's the thing. Did you get to the point where he's like at the Las Vegas bar? Yes, and somebody over here? Some of them that I was, like, Shut the front door. What have I never heard That portion of the Betty Broderick story? And when I remember hearing the story Cause I had to have been in high school. Probably What was the year? I think it's no, I was in 1992. Okay, so Okay? So he I think that the actual event happened in 89 then okay? Yeah. Her trial was in 92. OK, so I was already in college out of college and I followed this story and then MEREDITH Baxter Birney played. Betty brought Broderick in a made for TV movie. Okay, Yeah, And she was fantastic. And she fit the profile because, sir, looks like like her and Amanda Peet is a brunette and you don't kind of There's kind of a disconnect. But that version of the story from how I remember it. Wass. That Betty was just a revengeful, angry woman. Losing her mind needed anger management kind of thing. She just can't get over it. This one This dirty John rendition of the story is kind of gives you a little bit more of an understanding of where she was coming from. Yes, well, I I can't wait to watch it. I know. And it doesn't show him in the most positive light. Okay. Where is the other one Just showed, like here's this great, successful guy just decides he doesn't want to. He has an affair with his secretary and marrying her s O. I think that you know, honestly, it sounds like because this was one of the first televised court TV cases out there. People became really focused. A lot of women were champions for her because she was, you know, sort of an anti hero like I said, and and they fueled All of this for her into never let go write that, believing that she was right and justified in killing her ex husband, right and his then wife and spoiler alert. Um, you know, she Tries to get out on probation, not probation. Parole. Yes. And it doesn't seem that she has the remorse that the parole board is looking for, like she's still kind of justifies her actions. Right. It's been 30 years that she's been in prison. It's crazy. I think someone needs to do an interview with her. Now it's a second degree murder charge as well. Which is you know the family of AA Ka sh It's terrible that I dont Linda's family. Linda. Yes, they are so upset upset. Because you know the family..

"John McClane filling in And, uh, we've got whole producing. Hey, thanks, hole. No doing a great job. Thank you Way. Got some tents for you. Time for a tip tips there, okay. Their tips it everybody Alright, John, You've got some tips on peanut butter. One of my favorite food. Yes. I had a boyfriend once who used to not refrigerate his jelly. And it was in the cabinet with his peanut butter and I'm like you're supposed to. And he used to fight with me about like, No, you don't need Teo. That's what preservatives or for unlike those air preserves, not preservatives. Okay, so anyway, peanut butter. A lot of people don't refrigerate it now. I found this article on the Food network's website. And they said, you do need to refrigerate some peanut butters. How do you know which, well, that's a good question because there isn't and there aren't any instructions on a jar's label. So on a peanut butter jar doesn't say refrigerate after opening. It doesn't say that it doesn't say anything, but when it comes to, according to the National Peanut board, Very prestigious. Um, open jars of commercial process. Peanut butter stored in a cool dry cupboard is okay if it isn't natural peanut butter. That's what I wanted to know. Because with that oil and everything it gets a little tricky. Yes. And if you take a long time to eat your peanut butter, it's going to go rancid Very quickly. If you have it in there for, like, four months, And you khun Taste he have ever tasted rancid yak butter grows like Who are you? Okay, So right now my PB is in my C B. Huh? Um, your cupboards. Okay? And I used to refrigerate it. But it's such a pain in the neck, kid like, isn't it's hard You're toast rips and, yeah, you know, I don't strip right. No national. Eso Eso. Natural peanut butter is what you need to refrigerate after two weeks. If you eat it really quickly. You're fine. And they want you to make sure do not which I am saying this and I'm thinking I hate stereotype men and women, but I'm thinking of men. If you have a dirty knife that had jelly on it. Don't put it in the peanut butter because you're going to grow things in your natural peanut butter, especially especially if you don't put your jelly in the fridge. Right. So please use a different knife for peanut butter and jelly came in. Okay, That's a great idea. Yeah, okay. Um do you put your syrup in the fridge? Uhm I normally would if I bought it. I just I just don't have it. I usually just heat up jam in a little. Cut the like, and that might go a jam on your jam on my waffles and anything else, Alia, We don't really I don't usually buy just regular, sir, but most of time, I guess I would put it in the fridge. To you. I never know what to Doson have maple syrup. I never eat it unless I have My big manly relatives coming to visit like my brother and my nephews. And then I went and bought a big one at Costco and I'm like, Why did I do that? Because a little one is like $8. But a hosko It was like, 12 for a big one, Huh? Yes. Like, well, I need more so I went. I'll just take the big one. So I don't know what to do. All right, Knock it off. I don't know. You don't know if you should refrigerate syrup? Yes, because we had the conversation when Steve Steven I at one point we're talking about whether or not to put butter in the fridge or on the counter. Turns out, it's supposed to stay on the counter it ISS. My mom does that, And I think it's growing. I just started doing it because, Hey, I don't have to wait for to get soft before I put it on my bread because I don't want it to rip. Yeah, My mom always has butter on the counter. Well, apparently we had some dairy farmers call us and say that it should go on the counter. Wow moms, right? Yeah, And I don't remember why, But you know what you do you Yeah. I still want to put it in the fridge. I get it. Hope. What do you do with my butter? It's in the fridge. But my grand parents, I guess would leave that out covered, right? Yes. Yeah, but my mother is yet exactly, but with this syrup, I'm not like I never know what to do with that, either. So I take like I rotate whatever I feel like when I have it well put in the fridge or I'll just put it in the cup. I know, but I don't think that change of temperature is ignoble either, But I do this Like when I just like If I have it are by, I think I just never know. So whatever I feel like doing that time when I have it in you set the timer on for a certain day. Rotate out there. We're all confused. Yes. Awesome. I'm going to tell you now. 10 activities with the highest likeliness of lightning Striking. Oh, my God. Okay. All right. The gulf. The reason these Oh, that might be on here. And then he was struck again. Ah, and he has had major heart problems. Mike Yeah, because there's no history of heart disease, and the doctors say it's because has been his ticker has been hit by lightning a couple of times. Wow..
