Cowboys may use both tags on Dak Prescott, Amari Cooper
"The final year specifies that each of the NFL's thirty two teams can use both the franchise and transition tags this particular offseason that historic guarantee. If you don't know what that is you know franchise in transition tags in general I mean we. We have all sorts of information if you really want to understand the depths of them but in general the franchise and transition tag are ways that NFL teams can protect players that are set to be free agents. If you don't WanNA player to hit free agency you don't want me hit the open market. Bam you slapped a franchise or transition tag on them and typically generally only one is available to each NFL team so you have to pick which player you want to place a franchise tag on right or transition. Whatever the movie and so the fact that all. Nfl teams would be able to utilize both of them. This offseason really served as an incredible asset for the cowboys wrote about this last year. We wrote about this in March. Nineteen how we talked about then. Hey next offseason. The cowboys could have this really awesome tidbit in the that was the title of the article. That could really help them. Because of the cowboys find themselves in a position and we we kind of forecast this year ago where they have three big players that new contract extensions that are set to be true free agents Dak Prescott Amari Cooper and Byron Jones. You knew that and so while you can shake combination however you want in all likelihood the Dallas cowboys were going to Franchise Tag Prescott because it seems incredibly unlikely that deal done before that happens. Before the franchise tag deadline and then they were going to place the transition tag on either Amari Cooper or Byron Jones. Whoever you believe more likely personally I believe it was Amari Cooper but that would prevent both of those players from hitting the open market. Which means the cowboys could protect them. That's a big deal in. It seems like in this again. My personal opinion and and other people it'd be to share these thoughts and certainly a lot of our readers and commenters and listeners but a lot of people had kind of sort of made the assumption that the cowboys have accepted that they're going to lose Byron Jones. And you know what I think. I think I speak for all of us. That are listening. Here we're all gathered around the campfire. You know what if the cowboys is Byron? Jones not ideal but at least they have Dakhil these they have. They can figure this out. Maybe they spend their first round. Pick on cornerback. Whatever not trying to get to far into those weeds but the ability to keep both deck and Amari was and is a gigantic advantage. That the cowboys have going for them. How ever if a new collective bargaining agreement is reached in so far again at the time of this recording. We have the half that the owners have to comply with if a new collective bargaining agreement is reached it will essentially rendered the ability for teams to use both tags moot and they will revert to normal circumstances where there can only place one tag on one player. Now if you have not out by now you need to know that this hypothetical world which is I would say somewhat imminent in somewhat inevitable based on the rates that the collective bargaining agreement is happening and again as we sit on Thursday night. There's so many players kind of tweeting that they don't like the new. Cba proposal and whatnot so there could be some back and forth but if this is finalized before free agency and there's still a couple of weeks and those are going to be very important weeks then. Dak Prescott has all of the leverage in the world and all of the leverage in the world and we touched on this at the end of Thursday's episode because if that's the case and you and I were representing Dak Prescott. Then guess. What our point in our proposal to Jerry Jones Stephen Jones in the cowboys organization? Hey Dude if you don't if you don't get a deal done with us if you don't give deck all the money's basically you're going to have to tag them we all know that and if you tag back guess what you cannot tag anybody else if you tag back. Guess what. Amari Cooper and Byron Jones are going to be true free agents. You're going to be competing with the market for them. That is not ideal and other cowboys went from a world where they were probably going to lose one of the two. Probably going to be Byron Jones right to now that could potentially lose both of them which which would be a complete and utter disaster. And you know you can. You can play hindsight's twenty twenty but if the cowboys had just up to their contract offer to Dak Prescott Uruguay. I mean. We're talking thirty. Three thirty four million dollars per year. Everybody freaked out about that last year. That would look like such a bargain out. That's what happens with these deals. We've talked about that Matt Ryan to use thirty million dollars annually. Everybody freaked out now. That looks super cheap. And if the cowboys had done that they would have the ability to use the franchise tag on either Amari Cooper or Byron Jones win this ultimate sort of hypothetical becomes a reality and they would theoretically only lose one. Maybe not even either. So now the cowboys win till the eleventh hour is going to cost them in a literal financial sense where they're gonNA have to pay Dak Prescott more money and it could cost them in the capacity that they are now going to lose Byron Jones. And maybe even Amari Cooper now I should say that there is a a ray of hope. I suppose because you know look you may think this and I don't mean new but I mean I mean other person the other person here my think Jerry Jones is just. You know the cowboys. They don't know what they're doing. They're messing up. But there is a possibility. Because Jerry Jones is typically a big proponent for things like this the specialty. Nfl adding another wildcard round and round and other wildcard teams. A seventeenth game that is upping the value for every NFL owner. Jerry Jones is obviously very involved when I was on. Espn San Antonio on Thursday. We head John Maclean from the Houston Chronicle legendary. Nfl reporter one of the best. Ever do it and I John. I said look you know. Is it possible? The Jerry Jones kind of knew that this was coming that he was going to lose his ability to use both tags and somewhat prepared. Here's John Maclean said on. Espn Antonio John. You mentioned the The franchise transition tag loophole. That may be filled up and unavailable to the cowboys. Now maybe I'm giving Jerry Jones and co a little bit too much of the benefit of the doubt here. But in your estimation do you think that they you know Jerry Jones at least and we don't know the way the votes win but that he would seemingly be at the very least somewhat in support of this which would negate the ability to tag to players if he did not have a plan in place to at the very least keep one or two of these. You know high price three free agents. They have Adak Amari. I'm Byron Jones before the Franchise. Tag deadline that that's a great point. Jerry Jones. One of the movers and shakers in driving this agreement and even though it could hurt him. But I think Jerry all along you can't keep everybody I expect them to Cape Prescott and probably Cooper if Byron Jones those on the market. He's got a chance to be is defensive defensive back in yesterday I think teams are going to line up to give him a record-breaking deal. I don't think they would do that. With the Mario Cooper. There's too many good receivers. It's a great year for receivers coming out the draft. It's a good year for corners. If you don't mean Horn and the top after the first round so say they let Burne Jones go say the replacing with a cheaper free agent or they go after a corner in the draft and they can even train them they might have their pick of all of them no big deal John Maclean said it was a great point no big deal deal no big deal but anyway I think that if you're looking again if you're trying to be positive trying to be optimistic. I think there are two things to note one is that this is not probably not a surprise to cut the cowboys. Brass right like they had to have known that the collective bargaining agreement could be You know a a new one could be struck and therefore the ability that they were potentially leaning on to utilize both tags would be rendered moods and so they had to potentially be prepared for that. Maybe they all prepared for that. Maybe the preparedness is the preparedness to lose both Byron Jones in Amari Cooper. Who knows the other thing is that Adam schefter head tweet about this where he said Some something to the effect of if there's a new CBA expect a flurry of roster moves. And it's possible that you know we. We've heard so much about how different players in different guys and especially quarterbacks are awaiting the new CBA strike new contracts because they want a piece of whatever. The new percentages that players are going to get and whatnot and so we'll see so it also is possible that maybe the deal lanes right after the new. Cba struck because maybe DAX team is waiting for a new CBA to all to make their move. So who knows? But that's the positive side of things if you're trying to be positive so it is what it

Back is the main reason for Mr. turkeys eagerness for federal system. And how popular is he with this program of tax reform and infrastructure and an ambitious peace plan. How's he doing in? The polls wish to do. He has had consistently high ratings in all kinds of England polls satisfaction with his government popularity everything and he's not so much. He's policies that making popular, but he's personality. And I mean, the thing that's we often hear most outside the Philippines is about this brutal crackdown on drug dealers. And the like is that a popular policy is that contributing to his popularity. Well, there are certainly misgivings on many Filipinos about how this campaign is conducted. But in general is perception the crime on seats who's fallen so yes, he's policy has public approval. But it's very qualified public approval. Is there truth to that is crime genuinely down or is it? The very public very visible nature of this crackdown. Kind of contributing to the sense that crime is down crime figures in of the crime figures and many other parts of the world. "That the whole reason there is a there is a the first person to play John MacLean was Frank Sinatra. All right. Yeah. No. That's very interesting to me. I'm not being sarcastic. Yes. Because they there. Okay. So diehard is made on is based off of a book. I don't know the name of the book somebody they'll get up. All right. I'm sure it's out there somewhere. Anyway, just makes on a plane snakes on a plane with the original the original nineteen thirty four Joseph Conrad novel. Okay. So so die hard the book. It's not called diehard the book. But let's say I heard the book is the sequel to another story another book, featuring John MacLean that was already made into the into a movie starring Frank Sinatra the character's name was John MacLean. I think so but it's based off it's the same series. I think they switched it up a little bit. I don't know. I haven't seen this movie. I would like to hang out with you. So Frank Sinatra played a character in a film called in the character's. Name was John McLean. It's a I don't I think they might have changed the name or whatever. I don't know. I don't have it in front of me. But. The thing the point is is that when they made die hard. They had to go to Frank Sinatra who I think was in his seventies. At the time and say, hey, do you wanna play John MacLean contractually they had to go to him? Anyway. What? No. And they went. Oh, okay. Because we already cast it with somebody else. Okay. So some problems solve themselves while he was seventy he's not gonna do ya motherfucker and shooting the glass and the and the the hose walking, you know, he's not gonna do that you seventy. So somebody's Frank Sinatra pretty seventy minutes Sinatra Rancho helicopter landed in like, two guys, come out and suit. So take their hats off, MRs Sinatra. It's Frank home. She's like she opens the door wider, and he comes with the issue bag on the rack. And he's like, what are you what baby? And they go Mr. Sinatra are do you want to play a nineteen eighty two action here? Nineteen eighty six eighty seven hard. Do you wanna play a do you want to do you want to pick up where the star? We're either gonna use you or the or the star of the Seagram's wine cooler commercials. And he said ring a ding ding, Jack. Okay, good. We're glad you said that because Jesus Christ that was a close one because we're halfway through shooting. Ring a ding ding, Jack. Yeah. Motherfucker right. "Dot com. That's right. So now, it's the seventies. New York is is suffering. Yes. Crazy when you look at pictures of New York City in the seventies early eighties. Even just hard to believe how bad things were there. Yeah. It was pretty rough in actually it's funny like you can think Rudolph Giuliani for cleaning up the town. If you wanna call it that. Okay. If you ever heard that what to think Rudolph Guiliani for clean up the town. Sure. Okay. Good for him. So I saw him in the park one day. You did what was he doing talking to a duck? No, he was he was doing like a photo op, but at friends in from from other country, even I think, and I said, hey, this mayor of New York over there. They're like, oh, that's nice. What kind of a big deal to just walk around. And see the mayor of New York. Do they have a talk? I think their Australian actually that was my Australian impression those good than Yankee. That's pretty. It's a great story. Chuck. Yeah, it's fine. But for them, they didn't understand fully that the mayor of New York City is is it's quite a big deal to see him just out and about in the city. I I have a similar story. I was watching one of the first few seasons of law and order on television one day. And there was. The mayor of New York City really Rudy Giuliani. Interesting. But I knew it was a big a big deal. I got another story from K. Did you know and the Michael bay film Pearl Harbor that they comped in Bruce Willis, John MacLean character from die hard in one hospital seen how just digitally. It's an acronym. I know that doesn't make any sense to they really do that there. You can look it up Pearl Harbor. John McCain, and there's like screen shots of of John McCain his white tank top just briefly for a blip in the background of one of the hospital scenes in Pearl Harbor so weird. It's you know, there's a nude woman in the window of one of the buildings at the rescuers. Fly by Philly, the Disney movie from the sixties. Yeah. All these weird movie Easter eggs just bored editors I guess, that's what it hit juvenile editors. All right. So it's the nineteen seventies in New York. None of this has happened yet that we're talking about the rescuers to the rescuers did. But there was no die hard. There was no. Girl harbor movie right except for territory tour, but no bad Pearl Harbor movie. Okay. No Rudy Giuliani. He was alive. Sure. But he was not in the mayor of New York City in the nineteen seventies. Not as far as we know who was at. That was at Koch. He was the eighties. I think was he maybe late seventies. I will get that straightened out. Okay. But New York City is going down the toilet, including believe it or not radio the great Radio City Music hall, much, like our own legendary FOX theatre in Atlanta was facing shut down and demolition potentially. Yeah. There was a rough transition from some of those old movie palaces after people stopped going to movie palaces and moved out to the suburbs. A lot of those beautiful places were left out in the cold. And some of them didn't a lot of didn't make it. But some of them almost make it like, you said, the FOX M Radio City, and apparently it was going to turn. Into a parking lot and Belushi himself got onto the news desk at Saturday Night, Live and was railing against the demise of Radio City Music hall, and the rockets to head said, hey, hey, hey, hey, this is our home. We're like sorta like when they when Hayden and Katie were able to convince Sierra to flip in blood versus water the Christmas characters or the Christmas characters convinced Bradley to flip over this that you're not in a good place. Yours expendable is Kevin McAllister. But then Kevin got swayed back over it was that delicious cheese pizza of that alliance all to himself, and he decided to flip back over at the last minute. Yeah. It was like when you know, Sandra was gonna flip away from the heroes. But then Kansas was going to you know, flip away from a flip away to the villains. And then because he had the double flips going on. But what are you gonna do? Wow. I mean, what a way to go for buddy. The of course in the spectacular. Sparkley way possible Bradley's in trouble. But I'm wondering if maybe people are looking at him if somebody to bring to the end, you'd think he's got ten right now if you could. Framework henschel. Yeah. I think that right now, I think it's safe to say that the Chris Christian Kellen and Natalie. Blockade is looking pretty darn strong right now. I think it's gonna take John McLeans to idols sort of barrel his way through there and break it up because right now, those four seem pretty unstoppable at this. Kris noble has an idol to. Okay. That's true. All right here, we go. This is the two part episode here. This is the second tribal council or a second part of the episode after we saw very Sailly, buddy. The elf go out of the final eight. All right. Let's we got our our alliances going on here. I'll are conic holiday characters. There are only two of them left is John MacLean and Kevin McAllister Bradley has been working with the iconic holiday characters at times, Bradley, and John MacLean had an alliance. Also, God, John only imagine their conversations are like. Yeah. All right. Let's go to our immunity challenge and Bradley will home. Clutch win for Bradley. I've when he needed it, the most I think this might seal the fate of the Christmas characters, and that being said, I would not be surprised if at least one idol came out, John MacLean could pull a Malcolm here and make both him and Kevin safe here at this. And with Bradley safe as well that means one of those four survivors will have to turn on each other. But to be honest, I'm not sure if brand seal is that smart to figure it out. Okay. We'll see. Let's see how we go. All right back at camp. Kris noble has an idol jump clean two kudos to John McClain for not wasting his idols. We we've played a lot of brands steals, Mike where people just have an idol burning a hole in their pocket. Yeah. And we've also had one where people were just randomly throw it away the next day. So I could John McCain is playing extremely conservatively. It's creeped again, he hasn't he's had the gut so to hold onto it even as his trial members keep getting eliminated, but I do feel like at least one of them is getting pulled out here..

"There's terrorists they're kidnappings. This is a real thing. I saw an article they train drivers for executives executives to have a safe room. He said I want you to train Manx Atkins. I want you to give me an impregnable building and hire the most banish security guards. So so Arnold does this and he gets vicious dogs and he gets robots to patrol all laser beams. It was everything was available that time technologically lo and behold, it turns out that the big guy billionaire hired him is actually an arms dealer, right? And when Arnold learns the truth, he kidnaps his daughter and the end Reagan, Sean and locks them in the building. So now Arnold has to break into the building that he has made impracticable and fight all the people that he trained and hired. So somehow the script was floating around town for a while because it had a building somebody trying to break into it. Paypal's minds merged it with being trapped in the building trying to get out. Okay. Not true and very quickly. The Hans Gruber John MacLean see, I know it was originally a scene with THEO. I was always curious be at THEO or Hans how did he have? What was the setup was it ever cut where he knew there was an employee named Bill. Clay. I was curious. They just zoom in on the wall. I know but Zuber by Hans Gruber didn't see that as far as. When he walked in. Yeah. That's that's the thing. It's it's funny. How many times we've seen this movie, you know, thirty times, it's it's one of those kind of situations where you still say, maybe I missed the cut. Maybe I missed when he walked in. I was looking at something else in in. So you you buy the shows how formidable ability is, okay. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Reason maybe like. He'd done all this research of all the employee's. That's the implication of it. Or there was a scene that was cut. We're your it works either way either way right now because he's standing right now when when the minute, Bruce, Willis the minute, Bruce Willis got in front of them, maybe looked around or whatever or maybe research standing right next to or maybe, you know, maybe instead of telling us crew what he was going to do. He was looking up the directory of the building. But it just makes it makes them more impressed by it. But if he already saw the watches in the movie in the scenes at weren't cut, wouldn't it negate, Bruce, even even ask the question? But. Chill. The sitter into it wasn't until he lit a cigarette. And they were like nose to nose the shot. That's missing is that Renault's. Those may not be at the scene originally that Sean had to be dropped. Because Bruce is is. So clearly watts into THEO scene. It's it's meticulously spelled out how he sees it. And how Bruce doesn't say it. But it didn't really isn't important. I just reregister scripted is William clay and your script as well like the same name. But but yes, just like you. I always grew up thinking that they research we call that in Hollywood writers shorthand peo-, I which is plausible AllState information. When you get home. And you're getting your heating up pizza. You all I guess he must have looked in that scene where he meets Gruber. This camera starts to go off kilter bit by bit as the scene progresses to give. You a feeling on ease. You may not even realize it goes at Dutch angle. Yeah. It goes more and more and more, you know, and it's it's a very subtle thing. You also took it off sticks. So even when it steady it was hand held. So there's there's there's an unsettling feeling to that scene even before it goes wrong. The strangest thing is in the new Blu Ray, they had this special feature about the ramp of death that Janda bond was using which was like this crazy Dolly track that would go like under the waterfall like it was really cool to see. Yeah. That was a great, by the way, you're talking about a metaphor the whole thing at the end McKiernan, basically wanted memory says we we're just like they at Phnom is that final scene is supposed.

Kevin Kevin Smith, lack that one out of my. It was better than the last one with John Courtney he was way better than the lumberjack Courtney. I've actually watched live free or die hard. It's really actually the fire fight on the wing of a plane. Yes. Yeah. Thirty-five sauce is the most hilarious. It creates an f thirty five versus a semi at the end. Right. His diehard and Bruce Willis is standing on the wing. Yes. Yes. You can just do that. Right. Anybody can just do this movie magic. And I love it. Anybody Bruce will Bruce Willis clean, John MacLean? Let's be honest area. The breadth of expertise of the listeners though, I am too. Yeah. Maybe. That's a hyper specific thing. Game john. Yeah. But again with care with Kerry. Kevin carries phone call though that a little bit of the end result. No, I've never seen anything this big before. I'm still I'm like, I'm so hung up on. "John MacLean in his sixties as played by Bruce Willis. And also it was going to show John MacLean just starting out on the force, and it was probably going to be inspired by the comic book series die hard year one. And so that is still sort of happening. But now we know the movie is officially called McClain and rumors speculated that that the movie would be more prequel to seek than sequel and it would have Bruce Willis in just a few cameo like scenes in the bulk of the movie would have some new actor playing John MacLean in his twenties. But according to producer Lorenzo Di, Bonaventure, that's not true. It's going to somehow balance it out equally to have an equal amount of Bruce Willis end whomever's playing John MacLean as in his twenties. I don't really know how they're going to do that, and they haven't even announced who's playing the young McLean yet. But that's where it stands right now where that's how they're they're planning it out. And again, this is a. Awful idea because we don't really need to see John MacLean in his twenties. What makes the original hard so special is that John McLean is being thrust into this crazy situation for the first time in his life. He's literally a fish out of water. He's not in his element. He's never had to deal with anything like this before and to jump back in time and show him in his twenties on another action adventure, kind of like robs the original diehard what made it so special. But I'm sure someone out there is furious. I'm saying this, they're going to write an angry letter in telling me I'm an asshole, but. Okay. Well, why don't I do what I do often in play devil's advocate here, Chris, maybe the idea of bringing Bruce Willis in as you know, current day, John McCain is a way of sidestepping this issue they did you accurately explain, you know, John John MacLean. I wanna say, McClay McCain, John MacLean. You know, obviously didn't get into any big trouble before that I die hard, and that is something that is a problem that you have to address. So why not maybe have this have to do with some criminal. He captured in his early days that wasn't like a big deal, but you keep on going back and forth between current day with him having to deal with it on a bigger scale. Oh my God, Peter. I'm just imagining the young McLean just as like a parking enforcer. And he just gives somebody parking ticket and becomes a super villain. And holds a grudge for forty years. Finally comes back, and that's all that young McLean does is just, you know, walks this, this neighborhood beat, and that's it. I would kind of love that actually. Yeah, I'm not saying I want to see that movie, but I'm just, I'm just saying maybe there's an angle here. We don't know. I mean, maybe we could be prematurely judging this. Okay. May maybe maybe this just make McCain, and it's John McCain. Okay, let's move on. We have a bunch of early buzz coming out of the telluride in Venice dome festivals. We reported last week on a couple of those movies in right now, we're going to give you the the early reactions for Jason, very men's new movie, the front runner and suspicious. So let's start off with Jason Reitman movie the front runner Ben. What are people saying? Yes. So the front runners, stars, Hugh Jackman as Gary Hart. It's a true story, and Gary Hart was the was sort of poised to become the democratic nominee for president in nineteen eighty eight. And then a scandal happened where he had an affair with an actress model and basically depressed coverage sort of became so overwhelming that he ended up having to drop out of the race. So that's what this movie is is basically about is that political time period and Jason Reitman who has made movies like Labor Day. In Juneau and a bunch of others is returning to the camera here behind the camera here..

"All right So the flags are back half mass at the White House after a day and a half of them being lifted up because our president is is a ten year, old sociopath, John MacLean, John McCain McLean, John McCain McLean was from, die hard not to not different. Personalities, together, yeah yeah really. Think about I was complicated guy and despite the Asterix and John McCain's life, Keating five Sarah Palin. Few others I believe history will. Judge, him, well today, of course we're judging him against the sociopath of, chief of. You know Executive show you know. He, looks, damn good, but I think I think in the end I, think history You. Know we all have we all have a scale from which we balance our good and our bad right and I think that when it comes to John McCain it like it, leans decidedly, on the side of, righteous and just I think most people feel, that about him Despite his peccadilloes the truth is I was I read a lot over the weekend, about the Keating five scandal and he. And and John Glenn with three other. Senators doesn't matter you wouldn't need no they didn't run again they. They were involved at the, end part of this this guy Keating who had the national that cost the US government at three point two billion dollars when it went under if forget what the SNL crisis was it was these were not banks that were insured by the FDIC they. Were savings and loans and they. Weren't insured and people lost a. Billions of dollars in. Them and the US government taxes and all it turned out that Keating was kind, of romancing these senators and three of the. Five actually, worked to, keep the, federal government from. Investigating Keating but Glenn and McCain didn't still they took a lot of trips, they. Did some stuff you know the the ethics committee came back saying what they did was ill advised but definitely not didn't violate Senate ethics anyway and that of course Sarah Palin is I bring these up because it's I I read a lot about him over the weekend and I was angry at a lot of this stuff I saw people talking about. Like Trump about his war record. You know I think it's so. Wonderful and so great. That Trump's, not allowed to do you think go crash no I don't no no, he's not going to go which is awesome. Affect the, Obama speaking It's love Mutual respect was ever there. Trump paid so Bama like like the son hates. The night it's. So beautiful it. Really, is it's. It's, amazing anyway I say that and so I I read a lot about him and and. By this time and I I talk about, this a lot but the fact that he could. Have gone home a, year and, a, half, earlier but when he was in the Hanoi Hilton which is a nice. Way, of saying a box and then you know he said no this this other guy had been here before I and, they sent him home I which is. On the, ads, on fathomable. That you could do that after. Three and a half years and then. Serve it'd be another year and a half they're. Just it's I. Can't I can't. Even focus on it Churchill once said and I'm paraphrasing that you know you've let an. Honest, life one of the day you die there'll be some people who raise a glass and I'm glad that SO be, is dead right and the greatest honor. McCain can have, is that. Trump and his followers despise him It's an amazing, honor because the man is is is lost Trump's mind is. Lost people his minions they may have a stock market that is performing extremely well but that? Doesn't really mean anything to you how many of you have gotten a pay raise How many how, many of you check right, and now the specter from this coming here look at the gas prices they'll go. Down a little, bit but, here in California they're going, to go up again of course if this, tax passes which I don't think it will but so there is a there's very little that benefits you unless you want to cash in your 401K, today and even. Then you know I mean for most people unless, you have. A lot in the market, you really. Haven't seen that much of a bump from this when he, talks about the economy and points to Wall. Street that ain't you and I that's other people And I, saw I guess you know looking at this look at the stories that I went through over the weekend the flag story is is frustrating. Obviously the, Arizona candidate who Said that she thought McCain went off said they announced him. Going off his treatment, for Ellie. Ward or something like that Kelli ward exactly yeah she is a state Senator sh she lost. A primary to McCain back in two thousand sixteen and now was trying to suggest that she's trying to get flake seat the guy who's retiring stood up against Trump and she wants his seat and said, that, the. McCain, family, announced he's going off the, medication for his brain cancer to get her? Talk about a freaking ego right right. Like yeah he's dying and they're like how can we really ruin this woman's chances so. You have to know about it she put this put this stuff on on Twitter and four hours later it was gone that's always a good sign when people you realize that there's people with a brain and with a sense of Good idea I I gotta say I was emotional when I saw it because it I don't know if you guys they had the sixty. Minutes interview again, with Lesley Stahl on and and Cindy McCain was, there and, you know, they might, give Cindy McCain might become the Senator, which I, you know I. Mean, I heard Armstrong and Getty just immediately you know rail against it That sound odd does mean it's not like it's just an income position it's like wait, a minute, wait a minute I understand it's. Like maybe in like a, token Senator but if you're making decisions. For Arizona I want someone with experience as an Arizona prison I completely agree Cindy. McCain what makes her qualified to be Senator besides, being married to John McCain for, half a century I think can be. Married. To a, doctor it doesn't make me one but you're a doctor's a different thing you're cutting into people and you have to know a lot of the ramifications there when you got when you're in the US Senate your job is first of all not let's not overstate what politicians do okay I mean politicians have a hundred people surrounding you. Ever US Senator as a staff at least between fifty and a hundred people paid non-paid that bring them the the issues of. The day and they have to make decisions based on not so, much on, facts and, figures sometimes, been what's right or what's just for, the people, of the US Your Senator by the way does not just represent the people from the state it's also a body a government body that represents the entire country it you would support Cindy just getting to know I don't know I mean I really don't know what I'm saying Actually I I'll tell you one thing that makes me feel good is that I don't think she's gonna vote cavenaugh and that, I I like that You know hey this is this is a Republican state. Yeah you know I mean and and if the governor. Chooses? That you know, I mean, because he, has, what two more years after this yet I think he's that he's going, to do, next, week right so. You know I mean I think yeah but? Again the when somebody like, this dies, and you look and you you wonder boy you are there are there other people. Like. Him out. There, and I. Think, there are, you know we'll talk, more about that and you're welcome to comment to as well, for numbers eight oh eight oh eight one oh you know. I think of course, I think of the Arizona. Blank owner's name the the guy the guy that was a football player that. Went and died I'm Pat Tillman Tillman I think, people like that they're not a lot of Pat tillman's and John McCain's left in the world and and the truth is, it seems like I hate to say, this most the ones that I know ten be Republican that. Are that kind of, on our country I know. They're great Democrats out there that have done a lot as well I'm not. But I mean these two guys you know You know the whole maverick. "Is being led by everybody few different scenarios began this boxing ring and fight this guy behind this car and get us out of here late fails the cartoons yes he's niro sally he's never really in control sneak now is trying to get by is just crashing through here which is why he's a fantastic anti here how may i he if there's two things that he does great and it's crashing into things and it's abandoning pupil super good at abandon his is is special power is not getting killed look pushing death off to those around in right like also get shot in the leg films yes and he actually acts likes will he like someone who's been injured throughout the rest of that film like i'm sure it's less like the the amount in which he isn't bleeding isn't very realistic but it's just nice to see an action star be constantly and pain for the rest of the movie never newly walk it off i think that's a very it's a john maclean thing like it's a scene action hero hoon's as morial fruits and trials yeah yeah who's not invincible and he certainly isn't no i mean it starts off anonymous willing having won i boom roasted staring us in the face with all right i think we're done this was routed efficient at a segment there must anybody had any any final thoughts about this film in terms of where it stands and carbon his career where it stands in the greater scheme of movies her cash it's so hard to even place where the stance in my own brain it's such a such a weird movie it's just like a fun like out bear action highconcept romp and uh i feel like it's been imitated many times since but uh it's definitely stands out as just like being a comic an attorney.
