The 2021 Oscars' Best Original Song Nominees
"Get to this year's oscar nominated songs in a minute but before we weigh in on those songs and their chances. Stephen can you talk a little bit about the common themes we've seen from some of the oscar winners and nominees of the last few years. Well each year this category has been a different kind of mixed bag. Depending on what sort of movies are coming out. In a given year you often have a song or more from disney musical. You often have a song from a big blockbusters like all stars from black panther from a couple years ago. Big songs from big movies often wind up making their way into these nominations. And then they'll be mixed in with. Sometimes it's a song you've never heard of by an artist you've never heard of from a movie you've never heard of so. It really is a very very mixed bag from year to year with some recurring themes diane. Warren is very often nominated as a songwriter very often. Especially in recent years. You have a lot of songs that i call for lack of a better term. Glory corn so named for the song. Glory by common and john legend from movie. Selma a few years ago songs that play over the closing credits of movies about social justice all of which have titles that kind of together to form this. I will rise and fight and raise my voice to stand for you and so this year is a little bit of an unusual year for a bunch of obvious reasons. Many of them related to the pandemic. You didn't have a big disney musical so you didn't have a let it go into the unknown big disney banger. And you didn't have a lot of blockbusters you didn't have for example. No time to die. The james bond movie which had a theme song by billie eilish which came out which was pretty well received. And i think would have been a shoe in at least to be nominated and probably win. Had the movie actually come out and thus been eligible so that has kind of opened this year's field to what has turned out to be a whole lot of glory.

Teagan tweeted about everything from her kids to cooking projects to personal challenges in her life including a miscarriage. She suffered last october. She was famously blocked on twitter. Sasha Sloan Talks About Her New Song, Until It Happens To You
"Sasha's sloan is a singer and songwriter originally from boston but now based in nashville she put out her debut album only child last year before that she'd written songs for artists like katy. Perry john legend and charlie exc- x and she's been a featured guest vocalist on songs by electronic artists. Edessa and kyko. Sasha made her album with her boyfriend producer. Henry allen aka king henry who's other production credits include songs by beyond say and diplo so they're kind of music power couple in this episode. Sasha along with henry tells the story of making her song until it happens to you till you like similar in no how to my name. Is sasha sloan. When it comes to writing. I always start with a title. My boyfriend and i have a close friend and he had a cousin who was like a sister to him and we hung out with her a lot. She was in her early thirty s and one day. She was diagnosed with leukemia. And a couple of months later she passed away. Henry and i were very shaken up by it and just sitting and talking and you know we were like you'll never really know what it's like until it happens to you because my boyfriend and i had never lost someone that close to us. We've both been funerals but it was kind of you know at a distance and it was just one of those things where i wanted to say. Hey i know what you're going through right now. But i couldn't i could only say i can only imagine what that feels like and it didn't feel like enough that's kind of what inspired the title. That's my friend danny. Celebrate danny came over to hang out and we were talking about song. Titles and i was like i had the song title called until it happens to you and you know when i explained the concept to him really struck a chord with him and we went to the studio and danny had this guitar part. That was really beautiful. I love writing with danny and henry because of craig guitar players. I play piano. But i'm always usually more inspired by like a great guitar riff so i felt super inspired by that. And the title until it happens to you. Felt like it really fit with qatar part for me. Titles have to find their partner. I in order for me to write them. It's so much easier for me to write melody when i have a concept that i'm starting with. It's much harder for me to work off of melodies and then villain lyrics afterwards.
Waiting on the world to change
"What's going on everybody. You know who it. Is you know what time it is. It's time for uncle. Chebbi talks which have paid back at it again with another episode. Listen as you heard from the man. John lead not john legend little long day today. John maher. We're still waiting for the world to change today. We're gonna talk about something that's manhattan. News lately has been spoken about a lot and more and more cases keep happening and in the aspect of you know new change new president new everything. It's important we talk about it because it's it's something that needs to be changed needs to be brought in a couple of months ago. I an episode of black lives matter and it was important. We talked about at that time because it was a very controversial issue a lot of injustices going around our country and it was something that was not being swept under the rug. It was bringing you shown everywhere and this situation right now. Going on in the world is kind of under the rug. I guess if you want to say So for all of you who don't know over the last past three to four weeks. There has been an increase in crime against asian americans and asian american descendants. And it sucks to see this because you would think that as a country in twenty twenty. We wouldn't have to deal with this. You know i get it. Racism is apart stigma of this country. That's been back from when it was founded it's built into the system systemic You know i'm not gonna have the argument of truth as it happens but this is something that unfortunately stands from that could have been avoided really like now. People are attacking asian americans for no reason and today was another thing on the news where this poor girl. She was just simply walking videos on an answering. You can go look at it. She's being harassed by some ecorse. I mean you know. Typical man white male with two bulldogs. Young i her and telling her that her country and nobody cares about her and search spitting at her. Why what and accused case of this going on and on and on there's another case in san diego or an old man in asian man was beat to death be into death for no reason and people are saying why is going on. Why is it happening all of a sudden. You know why it's going to happen little sudden there's only one man to blame Really i i've been advocate of me liking him for a while now and that man is donald john donald j trump thing. He's office but it all stems back from an idea that he impl- implanted in the minds of his naive followers. Because that's really what they are. They're naive because they don't know better. i wanna believe and give them the benefit that they don't have that racism in their heart. I really don't People are taught that or they're shown to learn how to hate no one's ever born with it and it all started with the covid nineteen situation and you know calling it the china virus i get. The virus originated in wuhan china. The virus came from china but to put that stigma in time word countries already divided based on race situations. You know that the is already on edge with all that's going on with black lives matter the police and all these things going on and you wanna put this gasoline on the fire and saying oh well now. We have the china areas. And then you're gonna call the flu and saying racist things about it like at some point. You've got to be like dude. You gotta stop. You can't be doing this and nobody did that. Unfortunately it took an election to them out and for it to stop but it's obviously not stopping things are happening and people are gonna say. Oh well it's not. It's not that serious borough. Just forget it happens. Whatever people are like that no you know why it's interesting that we have to talk about because asian americans have been given to enter the stake for a long time just as bad as not just as bad as african americans. That's different situation. But as bad as the irish as bad as latinos and all this aspect asian. Americans were first scrutinize when they moved here to the united states and they were not able to find a job and they were forced not forced to work but they were given the opportunity to work on the transcontinental railroad which they helped build that entire railroad along with the irish unfortunately though the chinese asian all those who moved here denied get paid very. Well they didn't have any of the sources that you know that a white male will get at that

Why Michael B. Jordan was chosen as People's Sexiest Man Alive
"Sexiest man alive. Two thousand twenty is another michael jordan and just an objectively correct choice for just off the bat. I have to say listen. I both went through stints where we were bills ascent. I currently am which meant that. We brought his guests in whenever he would have celebrity guests on his podcast. And i cannot remember a male guests that made as much of a flurry among the wringer women. When he came onto the lot as michael be there were people. I won't name names but jordan liggins was sitting outside. She was like casually working outside. One day i was like weird. We're choice people were stationed across the lot to see him when he came in. It was a bath. Y'all i can think of two instances where there's gonna be s podcast guests. I like made the rounds pass. Bills office just right. You know why. Advisory michael jordan was one of them. I actually was surprised. I'm shocked he has not been named as in the past. This suggests easy choice. Like it's easy in the best way like he is people sector the people's sexiest man. I cannot believe this hasn't happened yet. I agree i. This is my. I was surprised about this choice because it was just kind of seemed to obvious where he had he should have won it before. And i kinda thought if he hadn't done it before then like he just wasn't quite what they were looking for which is wrong and also i was like what is he done this year because usually when they pick these things. It's someone who has really been in the news who has had some huge project you know it was the rock. It was blake shelton when he was like the voice. You know it was john legend and it's usually like tied to someone who's just been in the news a ton and had a really big year so when it was michael jordan i was like what was he in this year. However twenty twenty three movies so through all that could be during his done with. Tsa in his profile is he's donated to charities. He has been at home as all the responsible celebrities have been doing and like sitting at home donated the charities and being hot. it's just like peak twenty twenty. So i apologize to michael jordan for thinking that it wouldn't be him because that's all you have to do is twenty twenty and that's great happy for him. Each year grows more and more embarrassing than blake. Shelton was named anyway. Okay so let's go to some of the people we thought we're to be named the sexiest man of twenty twenty. So gotta give a quick shot to our producer. Kinda you can jump in if you'd like but i say who thought it was going to be. Which is dr fauci or shawn. Mendez goes on. I just the spectrum of twenty twenty runs from dr fauci tucson mendez. I really thought. I would something dr fauci as you were. Yeah amanda the moment. He had a bigger year totally. I was thinking. Chris cuomo john king obviously big cnn. Gal i thought it was joey king for a second. I was like joey king. That'd be cool. Little switch up kissing booth three. I don't Also thought. Jason derulo oliver tiktok. I thought chance the rapper. Maybe patrick mahomes the athlete not to flex on my sports knowledge. I'm dan love you. Who was in shits creek. Big actress doctor and a lot of these people were in the issue so we actually had a lot of good guesses in terms of who would be included because like we said they have a lot of little sexy participation trophies to hand out My predictions for the cover. As you know. I'm just to online and sometimes i think that the people who are talked about online are the people that the rest of the world is also obsessed with. What's actually michael jordan's a peak internet boyfriend. So actually i do. I think i was on the right track. I thought it would be a chris evans and pine both had a shot. Because they obviously chris evans very politically active This year and then chris pine has wonder woman coming out and christmas. So i thought maybe he had a shot. Kiat was a long shot just because he would never agree to this. I don't think i think he's overdue. He won a long long time ago. Let's bring back. He was also included in the sexiest happily settled guy which was category so he did get a he got he got something in there and then i said robert pattinson who i don't know if you would be into this like seeing repents and twenty twenty people shoot just seems like a weird fit but maybe next year when he's batman. I thought i was like you know. Let's just give it to brad pitt. Again twenty twenty. It's kind of a throwaway year or so like just give it to him again. like church. sure he hasn't had it in like what. Ten years repeats list over time over the decades. Sure exactly. he's still

She made after Losing Baby Jack at twenty weeks a couple of weeks ago yesterday she released an essay I guess I could call it that was just so tough to read I mean it's beautifully written but. She thought that was going to help the baby, make it to the safer zone of twenty eight weeks. She was experiencing lots and lots of bleeding and at twenty eight weeks doctors would have given her an APP doral and she would have been induced to deliver but just twenty weeks again, she began bleeding excessively leading to an emergency hospital visit. She wrote the fluid around Jack Become very low. He was barely able to float around at some points. I swear it was solo. I could lay on my back and feel his arms and legs from outside my belly after couple nights at the hospital my doctor told me exactly what I knew was coming it was time to say goodbye he just wouldn't survive this and if it went on any longer I might not either she also addressed the people that were calling her out and took issue with her choice to share Saatchi personal emotional experience on social media and she said initially she and John Legend or uncomfortable with taking those photos of Baby Jack after they knew he had passed and They were holding him in the hospital. She's crying she confessed though I knew I needed to know of this moment forever the same way I needed to remember uh, kissing at the end of the aisle the same way I needed to remember our tears of joy after Luna and mild I absolutely knew I needed to share this story she said, she shared for people who have lived what she went through. She shared with the people who needed to see it. She wrote the thoughts of others do not matter to me. She plans to combine her late Son's ashes with the soil of a tree and their new home.

He's married correct, but has fantasy. How many songs before we lay down and just? Hold each other. Palette. You probably couldn't even get through I. Don't think I could get through the first song. Before you give her any pleasure. So, you're going to go into the bathroom. Tug Tug tug come back out one more song, refractory period, and then maybe let's start rolling around. This is why women are scared of men. Why wouldn't you want the man to to do something that would ensure that the experience last long enough for the moment they stare at you and they can't control their body, and they spray everywhere so flattering, isn't it? It's dangerous. It's a bit dangerous for a woman like that. No, no, no, no, no one is doing this on the street. You're on a date with your on a date with honest. She's singing to you. That's interesting. It's the best once again for me. Me was the real love affair. Pda I must have listened to PDA on repeat making out three hours as well. See that album once again was the more romantic album. The first album had a little bit of everything because it had some cheating songs and had ordinary people. Stay with you. You know had had a range, but once again it was more like romantic I always imagined like sipping wine in the south of France to once again or A- something like that. And so that was the vibe for the second album, and it's always interesting when.

"Music now. John Legend has new album bigger love and I recently sat down with him virtually to talk about that album about current events. He's been a longtime advocate for criminal justice reform and an outspoken opponent of down trump among other things, so we had a lot to talk about. Let's get right to that interview. I'm not sure that I've ever had a musician scheduled. The interview for eight am before. You should see my schedule week and all last week. We've been working early. You know the bottom line is my kids. Wake up around seven seven thirty so I'm waking up usually that early anyway and so. My own musicians ours was there a time when you kept more standard musicians hours well when I was a bachelor and young, and you know I would stay in the studio. Sometimes they'll one or two in the morning and wake up a little later. Now I go in usually around noon and I'm done before dinner so in the morning I wake up and hang out with the kids. I work out I. do a few calls or whatever. To handle some business in the studio and then. I'm home by dinnertime and I'm done working, so let's using my schedule and on the road. It's obviously a whole different schedule. You've always struck me as a fantastically disciplined person What's the least disciplined thing about Ya? I I'm pretty disciplined. Let me think what is not disciplined about me. It's interesting because Chris is cleaner and Tidier at the house than I. Have I'm not a slob but relatively speaking. My wife is more more need. With getting everything physically and order at the house than I am it. Is, really great, really enjoying it. It's funny. You've made more politically charged albums in the past. That might be more directly suited to this moment, right? You can't really pick your times to that extent. Album sick longtime. Yeah they take a while to make, and even after you've finished writing it, there's still quite a distance between writing and putting it out, so you can't ever be sure exactly what environment you're going to be releasing it into, but here we are. We're at this moment. I made the music primarily in twenty nineteen, but also wrote a few key songs early twenty twenty, and we were wrapped on writing songs right before we went into quarantine. We didn't know we were about to go into quarantine, but we got done with what we thought was a really great album by You know late February as ours writing the songs. And Recording Demos and you know they were already pretty much closer to the finish line. The only things that needed to be done with you horn overdubbed. If you string over dubs, and some are featured guest hadn't put their vocals on yet. And then we ended mix master all that and that's what happened over the last few months. Trying to do it was in a distancing, and all these other things made it a little more complicated, but it was doable and we got it done. There's certain sums it could be read in a more political way. Eight never break is about a relationship, I can also hear it as another contraband. It was always meant to kind of feel like both talk about the water rising in the mountains, shaking and talk about it being bigger than you and me, and so the idea of the song was that it could, it could be about a couple you know saying they're going to stick together through times, but I think it's more about human resilience, and about the power of love to help us get through tough times anyway and. One of my team members has always said she felt like it was. It was an oath to our democracy that. We, could you know get through? Even these challenges that we're seeing hurled at our democracy, but I believe it is an anthem of resilience, one way or another, whether you choose to see it as just for you, and your loved one or in a broader context, if it is about our democracy, are you sure we'll never break? I'm not you know it's interesting because I I'm an optimist by nature, but I can see what's happening in and I think if trump gets reelected, we won't have democracy as we know it. After his second election because he's already pretty much off all the guardrails, just things that seems kinda small and kind of got buried in the news like him firing all these inspector general's at the different departments supposed to hold. People, accountable him, refusing to give his taxes him actively intimidating and discouraging people from voting. We're very close to being a democratic government in name, only if he can ignore accountability, ignore checks and balances and intimidate voters in the press then we're not a real democracy, so we're on the brink right now. You've been a longtime advocate for criminal justice. Reform issues are far from new to you. What surprised you if anything about this colonel? I don't know about surprised, but I think I'm hopeful seeing this moment because I see the conversation moving leaps, and from where it was before, and I think part of it is due to the sheer volume and the diversity of the coalition. In the streets marching, protesting for justice, asserting the black lives matter even seeing a Republican senator utter those words I think there's a broader coalition out there in the streets right now, and I feel a lot of momentum towards making real serious change, and I think the activists have escalated their demands I think for a while. It was reform or retrain, and now that were de-fund fund which has become a controversial word, but it's provocative, and it makes you have a bigger conversation about why do we spend so much money on policing jailing and imprisoning people win? Those funds could be used in other ways that would make our communities more. More healthy and more safe, so I think the move from mere kind of sensitivity, training and implicit bias training to Liz rethink fundamentally the way this whole society is structured way. Our local budgets structured I think is a positive move when comes to move the conversation toward justice in towards peace in our communities. When you see that only in the last month have opinions among white people shifted to understand that the criminal justice system that police treat people differently. I mean on the one hand. I guess it's good that the opinions you finally shift the on the other hand isn't hard to say like what took so long I do Kinda. That yeah, it's frustrating. Because black people have been saying for a long time, it is frustrating, but I will say videos make a big difference and we saw with Rodney King Video when I was a kid, but we've seen it more recently with this George Floyd Video, I just think the length of time that they were on his neck. The repeated cries. He couldn't breathe Chrysler. His mom cries from the crowd around him to that he couldn't read them that they were going to kill him. And the look of just indifference on the police officers face I think this video is different. You know it's different than a lot of the conflicting accountable here. Here when we don't have video or the Oh, I've heard from our life that that the officer Wilson said when he was in the struggle with Michael Brown, you know a Lotta Times will give police the benefit of the Dow. Though we found that. Whenever there's video, it often contradicts what the police report, but in our history white people I think have been given reason to believe that they should trust the police because the police do treat them pretty well. Most of the time it's hard for them to realize that we see the police in a completely different way, because we've been the subject of so much brutality and unfairness and injustice over the years. We have no reason to trust the police account. We haven't been given reason to trust. Police account is their rage and anger in you. It doesn't come out in your music in doesn't come out here and you are in your presentation to the world, but is it in their added I. don't carry much rage. I'm I think by nature optimistic by nature peaceful. By nature someone who wants to find common ground, and so my disposition is not rage and anger, but there's something there that makes me speak up for a progressive ideals makes me speak up for justice and speak out against injustice.

"People get choked for instance by these. chokehold was banned at the time it happened and the and the officer was charged and convicted. So you know a lot of times. These rule changes are naive, but. If the effect is still the same that a police can act with impunity, then it doesn't matter so i. do think there needs to be teeth behind these rules and regulations and real consequences and accountability around these rules and regulations that that that are supposed to control polices behavior, but also I do believe that we need to reconsider our funding. of the police and I think it's important part of the conversation. So how do you see Johnny? Never been shy about speaking out on issues of the role of while known people I think we've seen the taboo or the risk. Navy for celebrities began kind of go away. Remember used to be that Michael Jordan or other people just didn't want alienate people. Now you see the Ron James, starving voting rights organization people ourself. It seems like that door has been kicked down and you don't see a risk. Right row was already down. If you look at Mohammed, Ali and right wonder look at Bob Dylan. John Lennon all these artists. spoke out over the years. A spoke out about the Vietnam. War this book out about Civil Rights is out about women's rights over the years, and I think celebrities have always been part of the conversation, but I do believe This conversation should be driven by experts by organizers by activists and celebrities I. Think we have a role in amplifying the work that these folks are doing, but they're doing more hard work, and we should amplify voices and make sure they're heard and is not about us. I think that's probably probably smart approach to it and I before I. Let you go just on the on the album in the role of of music, right now just not even specifically to what's happening, but just the the beauty of sitting back on your deck or where we are putting John. Album John Legend albumin, just letting it go. That's I wrote about releasing music during this time and a lot of what I said was about just. That is the idea that music isn't. GonNa Save the world. We're not GONNA chew. The virus were not going to fix all the world's problems, but we can give people a bit escape. We can let them we can inspire them. We can give them some hope we can make them feel a connection to their loved ones And make that fuel even stronger, and so that's what music and do It's powerful is beautiful. I know I'm humble about. The amount of impact music and have, but I do believe it does have some kind of magic to it that transcends a lot of differences that we may have otherwise. It's been great escape for the last three months can't wait to have everybody here. You're out. My got to listen to the awesome congratulations. Yeah, I, think now now let you unnerve addams family at this point. Villain in your household I. Now. My kids can be free to talk again. John Great to talk to you..

"Sit Down podcast now more of my conversation with John Legend be talked about the pandemic and the impact. It's had on music on and everything else, but obviously in the last three weeks, or so since the killing of George, Floyd in Minneapolis added entirely different layer to even to listening to your music. Maybe do you see that that you didn't write these songs about what's happening necessarily right now? Obviously, but there may be something in those songs people here. They apply to what they're watching everyday. I think we've seen so many images of black people in mourning and. Outrage or even literally with knees on our next I feel like albums kind of an antidote to that that is about celebrating joy in celebrating love and celebrating resilience and Though this album wasn't written in response to what happened just now. I think we could all use a lift right now. And and some love right now some joy and I think this can provide that for people. You've obviously are no stranger to social justice. You've been talking about and fighting about it for as long as I've known you well before that obviously What do you think not as a musician? But as American American as an African, American man is happening in the streets right now. How do you explain it to people? When is that energy that we're witnessing well of course of this conversation around a? The difficult relationship black people had with the police has been going on for. The longest you know this nation was founded on slavery and then so many aspects of the way black people who've been treated in America. Are Kind of descendants of slavery so You know this has been an ongoing conversation. I think the difference now is one the advent of the Cell Phone Camera has made these incidents more visible to more people and I think the. Utter agony of watching a man die in a nine minute video. and to see the cows look of indifference on The officers face as they killed him. it was galvanizing and powerful for a lot of people, and what's inspiring about it is that you seen a real multiracial coalition coming together in the streets of America, and even not just in America, but in Europe and all around the world. People saying you know this has got to stop and I think the power of that singular video was able to galvanize people in a way that haven't seen in a while and It's making people ask some serious questions about the way our society structured where Criminal Justice System has interacted with black one other communities of color over the years, and I think those are needed questions that we need to be asking and we need to think big and boldly about kind of change that we want to see. Talked to so many of my friends had great conversations in the last few weeks about that video. The George Floyd video what they've said to me is you have to understand willies that I see myself under the officers knee?.

"Well we've been working on the album since early. Two Thousand Nineteen in some songs, actually much older than that, but we've been working in earnest on the album since. Early Twenty nineteen and so We finished writing. All the songs embodied on the album before the end to make a took off in in America, and before we were on quarantine and so Don't listen to the songs thinking. They were written during this time but I think some of the songs actually feel right. In this moment, some of them are about resilience, and about love, getting through tough times, and then some of them are just fun joyful uplifting songs that I think it'd be great songs this summer, and and as before trying to emerge. From what's been really tough spring I? Think that we pretty uplifting. So. What is your process, John? You talk about eighteen months to make an album when you sit down, this is your seventh studio album. Say Okay. It's time to put something out again as somebody on the outside looking in I. Don't even imagine where you start. Like. What have you begin the idea of novel? Some some artists that come into it thinking. They have a kind of a thesis of what they're trying to accomplish with album and they have a plan, and maybe they even have a concept that they develop for the album that everything will be You know inspired by, but for me I usually don't have that I usually unless it's kind of a specialty. Specialty album like Christmas album or or the album. I did with the roots Wake up, which was about protest songs and celebrating that tradition protest on when I just a regular John Legend album i. don't usually have an idea ahead of time of exactly what is going to come out like I just start writing and see what happens. See where my muse sins MEC- were. My inspiration sends me, and then it starts to take shape, and every album starts Abba personality after a while and you start to feel that when you you start to recognize which songs are connecting more for you and other people that listen to it with songs feel like they. Are the heart of the album in the heart of the creativity of album, and then you're able to figure out. This is what I should call this album. This is what a themes this The songs are kind of coalescing around and for me. That's.

"New episode of the Sunday sit down podcast. Thanks as always clicking and listening along as you know over the more than three months now of this pandemic. Bringing you our favorites from the Sunday? Sit Down Library our conversations. We think but this week we got a new one. I got together over Zoom for Sunday today interview with John Legend the Great John Legend the Multi Grammy, winning John Legend the E got. John Legend if you're not familiar. That means he's won an emmy. A Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony one is a producer of a Broadway show. He's one at all. He's the first African American man to win the got and one of a small elite group in the history of entertainment to achieve that feat. He's got a new album out. It's called bigger love. He's been working on it and recording it for about eighteen months, but had to finish it during this pandemic, which presented all kinds of challenges as you're about to hear. Also when he's writing these songs, he didn't know a pandemic was coming. He didn't know we were going to see these movements in the streets that we've seen for the last several weeks for racial justice in this country something. He's been outspoken about something. He's been advocating for for many many years well before the death of George Floyd's that he believes despite the fact, he didn't write the songs for these moments the kind of love. Love the kind of pain. He shows in these are reflective of it, and maybe can help us get through this time. He's just a great guy more than anything else John. Legend is as you know. He's married to Chrissy Teagan. They have two kids really cute kids for your Luna to your old miles and I should tell you we were on zoom. I was at home in new. York John was at home in Los Angeles. And in order for us to start the interview in his living room, I became the villain because he had to tell Luna in miles, they had to turn off the movie because it was too loud, they were watching Addams, family, values and He had to shout at the kids, and I think I saw luna walk past our screen with their arms, folded, just staring down dad, and he said I'm sorry to interrupt your day sweetheart, and then squarely blamed it on some guy named Willie. Willie in New York City, so the legend Teagan kids don't like me not big fans of me at this point, but a great conversation with John Legend Right now the Sunday sit down podcast around his new album bigger love, and so much more enjoy it John, good to see man. Thanks doing this. It's my pleasure a great to see Willie. Spencer were it's been too long been locked up in our homes for so long clue..
