"That's the only way you're gonna be able to do it is to get rid of these people that are are there who, quite frankly, if you go look at their political donations and their political histories are all Democrats. They want to see the continuation of the status quo as it is, you have to take in a very aggressive approach. It will be political warfare like we've never seen before. But hopefully we'll get somebody into the White House in 2024 will have the curse to actually do it. We didn't Schumer, Schumer warned Trump on six different ways. You mess with the intelligence community, which is this is this is one of the most bizarre things that somebody would say that and actually be serious about it. This is how screwed up our system has become. That the duly elected President United States doesn't have the freedom and ability to run the administration with his domestic and foreign policy, as the American people put them in the position to do, And if he challenges in any way the status quo Well, they somehow, according to Democrats get a free shot at the duly elected president, knighted states. It's bizarre and twisted. It's never what the founders intended. And for, especially for the party that touts democracy, democracy, democracy, I can't think of anything more undemocratic. Than electing a president and then having the agency that that president is in charge of undercut him, delegitimize him percent. I mean, that is the most undemocratic thing I can imagine yet all these people on the left like that was great. They're heroes. But you know what? There are A lot of there are a lot of a lot of Democrats. Quite frankly, A lot of Republicans in D C. That are done with democracy. Oh, yeah, For sure, That's a whole nother lot. I know we're out of time. But that's a whole nother long conversation. Let's talk to you A Ryan in Coon Rapids. Good morning, Ryan. Welcome. Twin Cities. News Talk Justice Andrew and you're on with Ned Ryan. Thanks, guys. Great show. Um, but a question for Ned regarding the integrity of our election process per se. You know we're talking about you know who we want to run in 2022 president in 2024, But nobody's talking about the broken electoral process. We just watched an election gets stolen. Does it really matter who's running if they stole the election? Once they can steal it again? Well, that's how do you restore faith in the process to a guy like me? Thank you See here that a lot This is I mean, this is one of the reasons that American majority starting in January Again made it its emphasis with all of our we train all across the country. We made it. Our main Central lecture this year training program was election integrity. First of all, understanding what took place and also action items of how you go in and I, You know, there have been some other great groups pushing some great policies at the very state levels and again like I mentioned earlier. Iowa, Florida, Texas. A lot of these states have started to pass real election reform. Just say we're never going to do this again. So I think that the my response back to you would be yes, it happened. Yes, There are steps being made in the right direction. And, yes, there's actually steps that activists like yourself can actually take whether it's going in challenging the voter rolls. Let's clean those voter rules and make sure that we have only people that are registered voters that are actually alive voting in the next elections. Let's talk about how we lobby our elected officials to get photo ID and let's talk about this is something that the left us very well. They're very good at targeted voter registration at the right time to get more people to show up to increase their base before the next election. So it's one of these things I keep on talking about you go for reform At the same time you go and say We're going to grow a base. We're going to actually work for some reform to actually make sure these are these are free and fair elections, so I get it. There are a lot of people have talked to that are discouraged. But if we give up now you can be assured. We will never have free and fair elections again. If none of us do anything. We have an election today. A recall election in California. What are your what? What is your? What is your? Do You have an expectation today And I guess in the in the short time that we have curious to get your take. There seemed to be A level of criticism of Larry Elder of a lot of it coming from the from the right. The shell. Yeah, I understand. I understand the recall process in California's two questions. Obviously, question one should there be a recall, and if it passes Gavin Newsom's out and then Question two is who should replace Gavin Newsom and Larry Elder, a whole list of other candidates. Yes, it's been a little discouraging, Dear God. Larry Elder actually has a legitimate shot. I think it's going to be a narrow win. If if I'm being honest and heroin for Gavin Newsom, he's going to hold on the question one and we won't get to question two. Uh, but it is a shame that Larry Elder running in California. Took took a shot took a chance, and he's getting some some grief from the right. Like Get behind him. We have actually legitimate chance of taking out Gavin Newsom and having the first ever black governor of California. What do you do? And a conservative? Are you kidding me? So it's been a little discouraging to see that, but I think they're doing enough shenanigans. I think there's a enough people that are in denial of reality that I think Gavin Newsom is going to hold on by just a little bit. We got time for one more call quickly. John and North Branch. Go ahead. You're on with Ned Ryan and Justice Andrew Hey, Good morning, guys. Hand, Sam, uh, regarding holding people like Mitch McConnell accountable you on Friday you had Tom Emmer unknown representative. Com member. On him. He was asked a direct question. His responses are lack thereof, was to dance around the issue. Talk louder. What a crack. Um Then he danced around the topic for about two seconds, pretended to do the typical politician change of topic thing. Then duck around the original question. What do you guys have to say about that? I know. One of you was sounded pretty pretty disgusted. That would have been me. I was I was. This is this is John Justice. I was frustrated. I was frustrated that day. And you know, Tom Emmer was the This is not an excuse by any stretch of the imagination, but just explanation..

"And Drew. My name is Drew. That guy's name is John Justice. Pleased to have him back. From his summer vacation, missed a lot while I was gone. Sure did as we head into the strange criminal journey of representative John Thompson, a couple of different headlines here from numerous stories. This is from the Pioneer Press. Where did John Thompson lived when he was elected to the Legislature, Minnesota or Wisconsin? He renewed his nose. He renewed his Wisconsin driver's license the same month he was elected from Saint Paul. We also have ST Paul Police chief once apology from Minnesota State representative and John Thompson faces calls to resign, released footage of police to encounter We have got a lot of ground that needs to be covered on this issue. I'm very pleased to welcome back to the program been far too long since had him on Brian Peters from Minnesota. Police and Peace Officers Association. The M P P o a Good morning, sir. Hey, Good morning, guys. How are you? Fantastic. Thanks for joining us. Thank you. Let's start here. Um, And maybe you can answer this question. Maybe you can't. But why? Why is it that John Thompson has the ability to block the release of the body camera footage? I mean, I don't have that power. I don't think do do. Do we have that power? Well, if I get pulled over their body camera footage, I as a citizen can have that block from being released. Well, it doesn't get released unless you Permitted to you have to give consent for it to be released. Okay is the way I understand it. Keep in mind. This is one of his signature issues at the legislator, Legislator legislation. In the past one about advocate advocating for the rapid release of body camera footage short, very hypocritical that he's not sharing his own body camera video and from my understanding Until the case is resolved. The body camera would remain private unless he agrees to release it. And I think he should. I think everyone deserves You hear and see what the officer and the interaction between Thompson was because he's alleging some pretty serious allegations, and I believe the video will show That he's completely at fault and in the wrong here Well, just to start at the beginning. Basically, What happened was John Thompson was pulled over. It was like early Sunday morning like one a.m. Saturday night slash Sunday morning for not having a front license tag, which is illegal. Like you have to have it after your license plate on the front and back of your vehicle, and this officer was working under the towards zero deads. Sort of policy that's been promoted in Minneapolis and ST Paul, trying to reduce traffic fatalities, 2 to 0 and part of the way they do that is by, you know, pulling over people for those types of stops and and and checking on tags and things like that. As he got pulled over. He handed the officer a Wisconsin driver's license, and the officer quickly found out that his That his driving privileges John Thompson's driving privileges have been revoked in the state of Minnesota for a failure to pay child support. His driving privileges were quickly returned to him later in the week. This all happened on a Sunday morning, and by Wednesday he had restored his driving privileges, which one can assume he paid all of the back child support that was That was due right. That's the only way you get those back if I'm not mistaken. Correct and also keep in mind. He told the officer that stopped him that he was the state Legislature legislator for that area, So he definitely name dropped. He he pulled a don't You know who I am exactly? Yeah, well and and back to the original point of the body camera footage, you know, he he's made these disparaging public remarks about the incident. He's alleged he was driving while black, saying that he was racially profiled. If that's the case, why wouldn't you want the camera footage released to prove your point? Representative John Thompson. At black, You know, that's that's the million dollar question and the other frustrating aspect about this story is Where is the speaker of the House? Where is Ryan Winkler? Where are all these other leaders calling for him to be transparent? And you know, it's the same group that protected him when he was up in Hue Gle at Bob Kroll counts Yelling profanities. They wouldn't come out against him. And here's another example Where so far I haven't seen any statement from the speaker or Ryan Winkler. I did see article that Ken Martin, the DFL chair was disappointed and representative Thompson's actions But why? Where is the outcry? But you know John Thompson can get in front of a microphone and Basically call the sergeant who stopped him a racist and he was profiled. I mean, this is just again outrageous and John Thompson needs to be held accountable for for his behavior. Well, we know he's broken the laws in Minnesota and Wisconsin now I mean, there's there's I don't think there's any way to dispute that He has broken Wisconsin laws by filing for and claiming residency in Wisconsin and getting a Wisconsin driver's license. He's broken Minnesota laws obviously driving while his for Minnesota privileges were revoked, but also, you know, driving with the Wisconsin license, not not ever getting a Minnesota license. You're supposed to get it within. 60 days of taking a president here and then there's the big question of Where is his residency? Actually, you know, is he Where did where does he call home? I think the prevailing, you know, wisdom, and the prevailing thought is that he calls ST Paul home, you know, and he lives there, and that's where he's a representative from. But how can he be a sitting as state representative? With you know, with with with with the Wisconsin license with this dual residency. Apparently, I don't know, you know, with with back child support payments. I mean, how many laws is this guy broken and what's it going to take for some measure of accountability, and that's what so many people are frustrated by, we see over and over and over and over people on the left people within the DFL clearly violating laws. And then just being told to shut up. Stop talking about it. Go away! Nothing's going to happen. You know, and even on the application for the Wisconsin driver's license, he signed that you know, he certifies the information on the application is true under the penalty of perjury and that he is a resident of Wisconsin. It clearly states that And he renewed it last November. So you know here's Here's, You know, violation number one, and, you know, In my opinion, someone's a future behavior. It's predictable by their past. And you know, this is all public record, but John Thompson Is not a decent individual and his criminal record goes back to 2004. With domestic assault Trump passing. He actually has a jury trial that starts today up in Brooklyn Center for an incident. Back in 2019, where he made a scene at North Memorial Hospital, and he was charged with trespass and interfering with an officer because once again here he is. Playing the race card and going after North Memorial security, So I mean, this guy is just he is pathetic. There's just no other way to say it. Well, maybe this jury trial will actually end up, you know, yielding results, finding out what his actual addresses because according to what I'm reading right here, the police citation on July 4th. The address listed for John Dobson was outside of his legislative district. Exactly. Said. You know, in looking at record I can't figure out his address is because I think I came up with 10 different addresses. He's used for some of his court cases and other things and You know, it's it's unbelievable and someone really needs to look into this. And and I'm I'm drafting a letter to the attorney general Wisconsin for him to look into John Thompson lying on his driver's license form. Are we not sure that he is not serving as a representative was in Wisconsin is out of curiosity? Um, Brian Peters, though. Let me ask you this. You know, we have You have crickets from a majority of the DFL leadership. You know, we did have we did have comments. Um, from, you know, coming out from the DFL chair, saying he was disappointed that Thompson accused the ST Paul Police have racial profiling. And we have some comments from Governor Tim Walz, who does say two as me, Murphy that the body camera footage should be released out there, but I'm wondering from your perspective. Given the fact..

Okay, So it should be John. Justice, months. Oh, uh, you know, you know what? Katie up here? Everybody's John Justice Month every day. True, true story. So I was I was trolling your Twitter feed, You know, just kind of seeing what your tweet when you're tweeting about, and, uh We mentioned this earlier in the six o'clock hour with with Sam's top five, Um, the the passing of Donald Rumsfeld of cancer at age 88. I'll let you tell the story that you wrote in the tweet. This. This is by the way, this is my worst nightmare come true and I'll spit. I'll spin back to it. But tell the story of when you when you interview to Donald Rumsfeld. Yeah. So, um, This is way back when I had first moved to Washington, D C out of college early twenties, and I was trying to make it and you know be You know, at the forefront of getting big interviews for Tom Hall and try to get us to a different level and I was introduced to one of Donald Rumsfeld's speech writers who has been working for him and his. I believe it was the foundation and I asked if I could interview him and I they said Yes. Which was a huge deal, right and my early twenties. I have no idea what I'm doing. I have never interviewed anybody at that level before out of college. We go to his office and set everything up, and, um I started the interview and he was very gracious, became in hello to everybody, very kind. And I started the interview and luckily it was on tape and not live or something like that, and I called him. Introduced him as the secretary of state. And if you know anything about the rivalry between the State Department and the Department of Defense, it's a big one. And he very calmly stopped me and quietly said Secretary of Defense. My worst nightmare, man. Yeah, her defense. Serious secretary defense twice. And so he was very kind about it. You knew that I was young and an experience that he let me but the interview over that we stopped record hit record again and continue. Don't work. Worst nightmare. It's look I I've made. I've made similar mistakes on the show. It's a terrible, terrible feeling. You know when, when, when? When that happens when you when you miss label somebody or you, you accidentally called them by the wrong name or you, you know, give them the wrong title. It's just It's embarrassing. It happens. You know, it's just a mistake through is embarrassing, but it worked out. Okay, So Drew may or may not remember this. I think you were there. I think you were there. Probably the worst the word and this is this is probably the event that really maybe paranoid, moving forward for any interview or anything I did to make sure I got titles and stuff right? I was hosting a an event for Memorial Day. And I was at the podium and I I I asked all of our veterans to stand up to honor them on Memorial Day, and I remember being corrected shortly afterwards that event going that's not It's not what you this is not. This is not that holiday. John. This is that would be veterans. That would be veterans Day and here and everybody was there for everybody was gracious, and they stood up at all this because the intent is good. Yeah, my intention was right. But that was just like, Oh, I felt.

"Go on one time and just see what the difference in mind set is between this, but I think you know, and you look at the party lines between that you know it. Brett Metro is, of course, more more. The liberal side and conservative out state but Means the numbers aren't that different states and yet how its debut walk into most Restaurants and bars that you know Michael under the radar, and you'll see that People are out there for the most part. How about doing a lot of them asking a lot of things but still maintaining those? Those reasonable? Kristen says. During the reasonable things and rates are skyrocketing out there, you know, Hospitalizations aren't skyrocketing. You're living life and still enjoying things. But being careful, So makes sense to me. We're not. Hopefully we're not in an emergency anymore, you know, and we've been highlighting and on the show last year walls, you know, Wall said told us If we get 5000 tests today, he will open back up. That was last year. We were administering, you know more than 6000 vaccines today, and he still hasn't relinquished his emergency powers and And still won't open things back up, and it's it's time. It's time to start. You know, it's time to start getting back to the way it was. We're out of this emergency. Now a man and more importantly, I think it's just The ability to have local control of this. Yeah, we're that has been completely take away and that the very first thing that I ever said the governor Wallace. He came up the crooks and they have a town hall up there. He said. This is one minute Sauron and I raised my hand. I said, What is one minute so to me? Does that mean that we're going to be ruled from ST Paul? For the next four years. Is that how this is gonna look? No, no, no, no, no, no, Mark. That's not what That means. It means that we all have a voice in this. What? Clearly you could see who was right in that conversation. One Minnesota is one. "I mean, you've got you got conspiracy theories and misinformation being perpetuated by members of Congress every single day of the last four years with zero consequences, And then that's not even getting into the other big issues that often get ignored. Eric Swalwell has a relationship with a Chinese spy for years, and he still on the intelligence committee. Ilhan Omar is credible Accusations of immigration fraud. Ilhan Omar has certainly made statements that could be considered anti Semitic, have been considered anti Semitic by large swaths of the Jewish people. Unity, no consequences for her. That's why I don't get worked up over Marjorie Taylor Greene the hypocrisy out there in terms of what what's acceptable speech and behavior and what isn't is ridiculous. These are people that have actual done harm to the country with things that they've said things they've promoted and things that they voted on. And then they have the gall to stand there and wag their finger and Marjorie Taylor Greene because of some Facebook posts that she made Yeah, well, it's amazing. You know people out there that are listening to your show. Good Minnesotans. They don't want white supremacists. They don't want the extremists on the right doing unthinkable things that you know the violence of the nation's capital. They rejected outright. But I get it. I got it into your point. It's that's just the hypocrisy. It's the double standard there. Sitting there watching and going well, I'll come yet. Not doing anything about Portland. How come you're not? How come you're not calling out these people who were very organized in Minneapolis, breaking into pawn shops and eaten drugstores and You know the stories about the black SUVs rolling up in in unison and you know very planned all there's nothing to see here, folks. There were none of those people in Minneapolis that just didn't happen. You know what this is? Why there were 74 Million people that voted for for President Trump because you've been telling him for years. Hey, it's not what you see, you know, believe me, don't believe your lying eyes right? It Z, they get patted on the head. That's why people in this country are getting very frustrated Andrew And you just expressed about a zoo. Of life in general right now, I mean, if they if they snap their fingers and decided that John Justice or truly or George Jesse Kelly was a potential extremists, you could lose everything in the blink of an eye and you will be the one that have to prove your innocents in order to get it back. 20% true and think what they considered to be extreme. Consider the Communists we have in charge of everything. Now, what do they consider to be extreme? The Second Amendment. Everybody knows who listen to your show. It's not about hunting. It's not about a robber breaking into your home. The founders were absolutely adamant that the second Amendment was about you protecting yourself. Should the United States government become despotic? That is, That is a fact that it's a written down fact. No, I just said that on the radio show. Is that an extreme view? Because they consider that extreme. And if they do consider that extreme how hard is it? We're gonna be for them to get a five. The woman to wire the in my life. They just Republican opponent of the president of the United States, and everybody got off Scot free. Now you and I, Joe blow. How hard would it be for them to do with the US and if they don't do it legally, So do it professionally. Put in a phone call their employer our hardest target. People get tired. Just attending the rally at the capital. There was nothing illegal about the rally. We've already got state farm agent getting fired these air going to be frightening time. Yeah, yeah, and it zipped it away from And this is where this ties in with the whole Marjorie Taylor Greene controversy And this is where I get bothered. Like I'm not going to defend Marjorie Taylor Greene. She doesn't need me to defend her. And I'm not particularly inclined to defend her. But what bothers me is She is being attacked for not nothing that she did. Just things she thinks. Yeah, things she might believe things she might have said she hasn't acted on it anyway. None of that is a crime, and none of that hurts Anybody right? Believing something? Thinking something, But we are turning that into a crime. Where now it's like if you support Marjorie Taylor Greene, if you if you defend her, she needs to be kicked out of Congress. She needs to be expelled. Not because of anything she did. Because of just something she thinks. Oh, but there were living now and it's more than just like you just said it's stock crimes and people need to understand. You were totally allowed in the United States, as you should be to have awful view. You're allowed Tonto. The whole point of the first Amendment if you want your very good right, so the point of the First Amendment You're about the voice that Hey, if you want to know that you're not violently acting on it. You're allowed to be a complete piece of crap in this country. If you want people to have the freedom to be a complete piece of crap, because who decides who is a piece of crap and who isn't Have the power to destroy us all. "K. M 11 31 035 of them. Good morning. It is Friday, January 15th, 2000 and 21. This is justice and drew. I'm drew that man over there taking time off of his Tom Bergeron. Podcast is John Justice, But yeah, I haven't done one of those in a while. That's been all quite big Tom Bergeron fan over there. When they're pushing our buttons this morning and answering your phone calls it 6519895855 is the lovely, talented, radiant Smith San Sphere Morning and the Queen of all the Rodeo's in Minnesota. Never everywhere in Minnesota. Why China in Minnesota rodeos and 2020. You know, they probably do. Oh, sure. Yeah. Brody's our global phenomenon. I know gauchos. Yeah, I know. I know. I know about God, Jos on Lee from Steely Dan. It's a few of you out of the notice you on Lee banned from that era that I truly enjoy his face with Steely Dan and I like that album. It happened quite a bit. You have to be careful on your drive in. It's pretty pretty lucky. It was getting bad. Like towards the end of my drive. The snow is really coming down harder. It zena thing, But but but a calamity since midnight for for me why I had the boy had the dog. The dog won't be 12 45 to go the bathroom. They're not that big of a deal, but she likes the snow. So after she went in, did her thing. She decided she wanted to play. So I got her in quick enough. And then she was about to. She was about to hang a left into her into her crate, and she hung a hard right. Decided you want to go back into her crate. She wanted to run around the play and thought it was chasing time. Oh, no 45 in the morning, so I got her back in her crate went back to bed Got up and then Decided tow, do half the driveway and had take cans out there. The recycles and trash Today's your Day and Melinda won't let us on the recycle bin. She won't let us put a bag filled with recyclables in it. She read somewhere? You're not supposed to do that that you're supposed to just put all the recyclables loose in the in the can. Okay. Instead of just having a bag full of recycles and recycling the bag, you can recycle them back. I don't But what? I want to have a happy wife. Happy life. The bags are recyclable. Are they not supposed to recycle the bag? So so then, containing other recyclable things all good. It's all good. You're allowed to do that. Somebody should tell her. I did, and it doesn't matter. So so my help, Sam told her. I had a full. Probably not. I don't know what I'm talking about with recycling like I let author and handle that I don't know I would throw everything in there. But there was a very small space of which two I mean, it had to be small by car is already like, Well, there's a very small space to the trash can to the recycle bid as I was backing out of the driveway. And I thought that I cleared the recycle bin, but I did it. So I had it knocked it forward. Oh, no, and strewn like you know all the like 24. You know, empty cans of Juilliard Seltzer vodka by being a vodka bottle. Oh, no. So that I I picked it all up. Put it back in got in the car, and I realized the bin was too far down the driveway. So when the plows came through, they probably would have hit it. So I decided the smartest thing to do was not to stop the car. Get out and pull it back up. But actually use the car to push the bid because I'm a key. A key is multipurpose. Seven idiots, So I had to get him like bumping it, You know, And then I'm doing this I'm doing this is so stupid. I could have already been done it all my way already. And I hope that somebody you like one of your neighbors were watching. Yeah, Yeah, It was me out of it, Just like I left. I want the needing Somebody hit like can you back? It would have thought I was an alcoholic based on company If you like. I know weird alcohol, like with all the arts somebody don't my patient through Lee's and vodka bottles off. Oh, this is infuriating. Yeah, because never self respecting man would have drank all that garbage. Do you think that the plows end up hitting like a trash can or cycling can and just like you like it? Just imagine if applied. Hits. One of those, it was just fly. My God are 10 will be just be just another disaster. Why everywhere feeling? What do they do it? They they'd probably just keep rolling like that moment in speed. When the bus it's the woman with the stroller, and they all think it was a baby. He was one of the can dance. It's okay. It was just cans. Tom ever representative. Good. 2020 probably thinks everyone's gotta finish. Let's go back into Sam's top five for Friday, Number four. Minneapolis City Council will try again to create a public safety agencies that could replace replace the police department. Try. Try again, guys. From understand. Give us another chance. Whatever. This is just a small group of the Minneapolis City Council members once again working on a proposal to replace the current police department. The proposal, which would have gone Tolo, which which would have to go before voters could place police and other public safety programs under a new department. Council member fully Bay Cunningham as said. This is really, he said. This is really about bringing together different public safety strategies with law enforcement to be able Tohno better outcomes for all of the residents of our city. That's a solid plan there. Really a lot of lot of detail a lot of meat on that bone. Yeah, system clear what he's talking. I know exactly what you're planning to do now, like strung together a bunch of words, strategies, law enforcement and public safety and better outcomes. Yeah, okay. Cunningham said that many of the details are still being worked out, and the county Council members expect to release more detailed plan at the end of the month, which really is just like Of way of thing. They have no idea what they're talking about. Drew and I would never be put in charge of like the planning Committee of like of a high rise out of you Like Justice, Andrew, we'd like to hire you and you guys are in charge of construction. Of this brand new high rise like you would ever do that? Because we don't know what we wouldn't know what in the world we were doing. Yeah, right. And common sense doesn't help you. It looks sturdy. You steal s O These air The wire looks like it's in the exact rights. That's exact that looks. That looks fantastic. You know, it's like you put like to steel bars together like an X between like a square of bars, then That should reinforce all the bars. These people should not be talking about public safety. They're a bunch of activists. They don't have any expertise in any of this. They shouldn't be anywhere near it. No, no, This is not They shouldn't be in me. They should barely be crafting public policy. But but This they have they have no, They have no expertise in this whatsoever. They have no idea. The first thing. This is all based off of feelings and emotions and trying to please other individuals in the city. It's It's a recipe for disaster. I look forward to this plan. Failing Justus hard is all their previous plans have failed. Number five The Minnesota State Fair Financial losses were brutal, but there is hope for its return this year. From the Pioneer Press. Minnesota State Fair officials are planning for the Great Minnesota get together to return this year, quote full speed ahead with extreme caution. That's according to the state Fair general manager Jerry Hammer. I said that last night Hammer spoke at the 162nd annual meaning meeting of the Minnesota State Agricultural Society, which governs the fair and conducted this meeting. Virtually Of course, is of your everyone remembers covered 19 shut down the annual event in 2020 for the first time since 1945 planning for its return at the end of the summer, is proceeding with multiple budgets on multiple tracks. He said The financial loss was brutal on UAL. Revenue in 2019 was 60 million. He did not offer details on 2020, but I can't imagine it was very, very close to that. Hey, said of last year we were out of business. The state fair, independently finances its operation and receives no state appropriations. There's very little faith out there about getting out of this this situation anytime soon with the vaccine and this goes back to the conversation that we were having last hour about how just just rolling this out in these tiered systems were just Are just ridiculous. California Disneyland, They had their annual passes. I mean, in Disneyland, for those who don't know they make the vast majority of their money from people that live in the state and the vast majority. A lot of men a ton of money off the annual passes, people that buy this and go whenever they want. They canceled all of them. They got rid of. They sent out a letter to everybody who had an annual pass and said all annual passes are canceled. Indefinitely. Oh, my gosh, and that winning If we open back up will will will have Ah, different system in place, and it's because they don't see, you know, they still don't see an end to what's happening. And when they do open up, they know the restrictions that are going to be placed on them are gonna be too harsh to be able to Did you with that? And it's just this is this is ridiculous. It's it'll be Carrie. I'll be curious to see how biting in the paneling this Yeah, well with FEMA Democrats haven't full control of Washington. I mean, I I'm with you. I'm not very optimistic that we're going to see. You know, I think you'll see states like Florida and other states that have some actual rational leadership in that have handled this pandemic somewhat decently, ignoring the the policies of the ideas. Don't accomplish anything and embracing the ones that do you know, you'll see that. But yeah, with Biden in charge men they're going to. They're going to drag this out for us long as they can. There's a lot of there's a lot of power being consolidated. There's a lot of wealth being consolidated while all of this is going on, and they suffered You know, in their minds, no real electoral consequences. So what's the big deal, right? Why not keep doing it? Job there, Sam. Thank you. Thank you. E got a story. I got a story here because from W I f e. I don't know. I wrote. I wrote that. I don't know if that's from your wife. But he got Moderate Democrats break rank and do not go along something crazy enough that Radical Dipper. Yeah, I actually I like that. I think I get the feeling, especially in the Senate. I think in the Senate, especially, you're going to see you're going to see some of your moderate Democrats break rank and And possibly, I wouldn't even be shocked if if one or two of them left the party and and declared independence. That was why I look, I wanted to see those races go a different way in Georgia. Don't misunderstand, but that's why I wasn't I wasn't completely DuMond gloom with those two losses. It split right now with with Kamila Harris until she takes over this presidency and whoever they bring in his VP ends up being the deciding vote. But You know, I think a lot of people forget that there's there's You know, those Democrats in those in those states. You know, they're They're moderate that aren't going to be able to go along with that. And because just takes one. Yes, As long as the GOP doesn't get dumb. That's the other aspect of it. And then being positive right now I know that the GOP can get dumb, all right. Jim Saint Paul. Good morning. Hey, Good morning. I think we need to focus on the state level. Clean up the voter rolls change the election laws get rid of the Dominion voting machines. We need to put pressure on people where we can Things at the federal level are just too far beyond us, For the moment and state level is where elections get run and administered and may I mean, that's where that's where it all happens anyway? And so any meaningful and substantive reforms are going to have to happen on a state by state by state basis at the state level. You're absolutely right, Jim. What's your positive prediction for 2021 the real quick? Well, that was that was kind of him, hoping we put some positive energy into changing what? We can dig it where we can. Thanks, Jim. I truly believe that we're going to have more progressive organizations and individuals. Standing up to this nine cent. And his example that would point to the A C l U Coming out this week or or the preceding week. You know, mentioning caution about Trump being banned from Twitter, and I would also point to progressive writers like Met Baby from Rolling Stone. He's actually been great. I mean, I've been so I've been so impressed. I don't agree with everything, he writes, but I've been really, really impressed with a lot of the stuff that that tell you. He's been pointing out there again, you know, coming from the perspective of he's he's liberal. I'm a conservative, so we're not going to agree on a lot of things, but You know, he's I feel like I could go to him for at least some rational opposition. It reminds me frankly, of what I like about your show and shows like your switches. I like people that will challenge both sides. I let people that will slap my wrist. But leave me thinking. "Puts in his news talk. Am 11 31 of the 35 of him Walking back your Friday edition of Justice Andrew I am during that man over there is John Justice and the phone number for you to take part at any time. His 651 99 5855 we get to your phone calls, There's a quick one. From from U P. I New Year's resolution that might be more common than you think. Quitting pot. Yeah, A new study suggests that it might explain why marijuana typically falls at the start of the year and then increases as the year unfolds. Pot uses risen over the course of the past year, according to the study, Shocking We saw the marijuana use is consistently higher among those surveyed later in the year, peaking during the late fall early winter before dropping at the beginning of the following year. However, last year it was quite a bit. Yeah, comparatively speaking to previous years, of course, itwas you locked everything else down and in places where it is legal dispensaries, word labeled essential, just like liquor stores. We think this may be, do they say in part to a dry January, which some people stop drinking alcohol or even stop using marijuana is part of a new year's resolution. But I would say that, like probably, like right around the fifth going into the six That changed completely. Yeah, I think I think most dry January has got pretty wet last Thursday. It really is. You know, I I mentioned this a lot, but it's just it's really insightful hearing from non political entities over their views. On divan individuals like overseas. I was listening to a There was a self publishing podcast in this, this British woman that she hosts and she was talking about quitting drinking. But then she's like, Well, that didn't last very long in the new year started, especially looking at what's happening in America is like, why are you drinking? Why did you break your habit? Because what we're dealing with here? You live there don't affect you. What do you care? Yeah, there was another. I saw a lot of people like tweeting last week. Well, I was going to try a giant dry January. But after today, I'm gonna have a drink. That's not a huge surprise and get it. But if you're in another country, what do you care? Give a rip for there was a There was another guy who, you know, he's an expert among with think he actually works for a company that helps with self publishing. But he wrote this editorial. This was the argument he made. This was fantastic. He He had this piece to hit this piece talking about the decline last year in any reading, Apparently. Okay, so they were a lot of self publishers were surprised People were reading less. His his his analysis right. His expert analysis was that well You know, because we had President Donald Trump in the White House. And you know, he was just dominating the news cycle over and over again. He just dominated everything you know everybody was just paying attention to him, and that's what hurt. Self published authors was because we had President Donald Trump of the White House and everybody was paying attention to what was going on with him on a day to day basis. And, you know, nobody felt like nobody felt like reading. Nobody felt like like, okay. All right, All right. Well, you know, maybe there's some truth to that would be so bored with the Biden administration having the government take care of their every wind Z. You know that they'll be wanting to read again. I don't I don't know, man to go to the phones and see what song I'm I pronouncing that correctly saw from Rosemount. Good morning. Hey, Hey, John. How you doing? 15 years. Happy New Year to you, too, man. Guys, look, Look at this. This is the way I look at this whole biting situation That's like, uh, Peyton Manning and Eli Manning. You know, it's like the last guy to win the Super Bowl. But yes, he's so popular. Realize, like nobody really cares Kind articulating right anyway. So So Trump is Peyton and Biden is Eli. I'm grading, Mike. All right. Enough enough. My maid call is this, you know? One thing I gotta say the US Trump supporters is don't fall into this trap. I mean, this whole Washington D C thing. It was a trapping. You guys been talking about it we need to get we need to be smarter. We need to be a little bit more cautious of what we You know what we do? I mean, this is this is what they want you to just stay home. Guys, don't do this. You know, evil is evil. Good is good. And right now we know that Trump did not do anything wrong. He did everything right. But from there one he walked down those steps Democrats been after him, so we gotta get smarter Guys. Fabulous. You gotta say something for the show. Yeah. Good call man. Thank you so much, And he's right. I You know, I feel I feel very, very, very strongly that all of these inauguration day warnings and all of these things that they're talking about and preparing for it really does feel like a setup. It feels like they're just they want something to happen so that they can then pin it on. Trump's supporters. Yeah, it's you know, it's really, really difficult to do and I'll keep saying it's really difficult to see the forest for the trees right now, after, you know, a year of covert and still being Inco vid, and just the strangeness of what the you know, putting it mildly. Of what of what the The four years of Trump brought it's It's tough to know exactly where that would where the country's head is truly, really at right now, because I think there's a lot of people out there who normally wouldn't get on board with another $1.9 trillion stimulus and checks and all that. But again, we're in the middle of ah of a covert pandemic situation that These these, you know, local governors. You know, the state governors won't allow us to get out of and until we get some sense of life, returning to any close to to normalcy, it's gonna be really difficult to find out whether or not we are still a center right country because you know, we typically are Morrie by a set a center right country, And it's almost impossible to know whether or not that really is truly the case, especially when The surface level narratives dominate the discussion, and I sort of them are false, and I don't believe that that represents the majority of people on either side of the of the political spectrum..

"Everything, and it shows you the power of the narrative. It shows you the power of having the Democrats and their in their cohorts in the cable news media, working hand in hand and never straying from those approved narratives because they created this picture this carrot Picture of Trump that is simply not real, right? It's not true. But if you go out there and you talk to 53% of the country, you know they'll tell you. Okay, described Donald Trump to me. They'll all start using the same words that he's a racist. He's a white supremacist. He's he cut. He cozies up to Putin. He does all these. None of that is true. But that's what everybody believes because that's the power that they have. They could. We could have had four years of, you know, this sort of eccentric, crazy guy in the White House and Congress could have chosen to just ignore him, and we would have just had sort of this. This light gridlock for four years, right? They could have gone that route. And would have been peaceful and it would have been quiet and we all could. Late night shows would have continued to make fun of Trump, but it would have been essentially harmless. Not much would have gotten done. But we would not have been rioting and at each other's throats and fighting about every little thing over the last four years if they had gone that route, But that's not the route they chose. They chose white supremacist. They chose Nazi. They chose racist. They chose cozying up to Putin. They chose all these things. Go after him. And now here we are. They had to impeach him over it. It all snowballed out of control. And now we have a situation where you can't even go to work and talk about Donald Trump in in in in it remotely positive light, or, like Tom, you may find yourself out of a job. That's not normal. We should not normalize this. The state that we're in right now. And it it's never changed and we'll get to your phone calls, but and we won't get into great detail. We've talked about this many times, but years ago, you know this is back in 2000 and nine years ago, you know, justice and drew. When we were working in Arizona, we went through a very a very small scale similar version of what has happened now. You had circumstances were far right. Immigration extremists were desecrating law enforcement in public. You know, far left the fart far left the far left. You know, activists far left activists were beating up effigies of law enforcement in public and we made, you know we joked around that man. That was somebody on the right doing that You'd be blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, and we had a circumstance where something completely benign. Completely benign that we did joking around. And that was that was an incident. An incident that continues to haunt me to this day is called all kinds of all kinds of things for a completely but nine thing that wasn't even close to what it was. This has always been this way. But we've seen the rhetoric grow in something that was sort of resigned to Small market, conservative talk radio and far left extremists. Immigration organizations got mainstreamed because of the social networking and the social sphere growing the way that it is, too. I mean, you compare those two events, the one that I sort of semi described what happened yesterday on January 6th. I'm just gonna go. Yeah, There's your slippery slope. Man of what? What's happened? They've all the left has always desired to to do what they're doing right now. Tony out of new Hope. Good morning. Yeah. Good morning. Pack water here. Hypocrisy of the left. One thing you want to really watch with well with watching them gentle in terraces. Watch him, not say the Pledge of Allegiance the words in the Pledge of Allegiance. You know, the Republic, one nation or God indivisible. They're doing everything against that is there to divide our country? They're not for God. Other against Republic. Yeah. No, there's no There's no doubt by the way me personally, I'm not getting on social media and the reason I'm not getting on social media because that's the thing Once they know what you know John Justice on social media, they can boot me out Social media, then Right, but it's still a look. I get it. I don't begrudge anybody that's that's leaving. You know your Facebooks and your twitters because of what's going on. I don't begrudge you that at all for me personally. No, man, I'm gonna use their platform and I'm gonna continue to speak my own truth And if they want to go in silence me Then they can go in and silence me. But that still is a platform. I mean, that is your public square where you can go and still voice your opinions. No, I'm not. I'm not personally leaving it because I still have a voice and I'm still going to speak my truth and my voice and exposed the hypocrisy and what they want to remove me. Then that's up to them to go on. Remove me, but until then, I'm using it. James and Forest Lake. Good morning. Hi. Hey, James. You for having me on the air. I think you hear me? Yes, sir. Getting any great. Thank you for putting me in the year. What? You were just explaining it was so perfectly timed because here's What if you go? It? Is it every time you have an issue The only way you're ever going to get it resolved is to go all the way to the beginning and simplify things. And basically why. When you have, uh senators and legislate regardless of what if the Republican Democratic or what their job isn't to person views their personal beliefs or opinions or there? Into to take their power and use it. Further own game. So if why is it that It's so easy for them to Um recklessly use it and get away with it, And all we get to do is just sit back and just talk about About it without nothing ever getting done. I don't know Specifically what you're referring to, But I think you're just like your pointing out the double standard that exists. You know it when? When, you know, you know when, when Donald Trump calls, you know the Ukraine and, uh and mentions that? Hey, we've got an investigation going into Joe Biden. Rudy Giuliani is looking into it. It be nice if you could help us out that suddenly turns into you know, an abuse of power for personal gain..
