"Right? That would have your nominee. Thank you very much Relieved. Thanks for calling. All right. Consider it on the list. It usually gets it. But But that is the first vote for this this year. But like I said, he went on to have AH, Radio show on K P. V. C, which had ah lot a different radio shows that were interesting and out there in Pasadena, And in fact, Johnny Otis had a show there for a while. But in what can the follow up was nervous. And no, I refuse to do that to you. I like y'all too much to play nervous. But if you don't call 8888765593, we've got Sam again in Illinois. Welcome back, Sam. You want. Thank you Rally. A. Yeah, returned collar. But you know what I want to say. I think it's either a pencil up and possibly, but I want to talk into my request that you might play. Nina Simone's black is the color of my true love air because I think if I got Some support behind my campaign. I'd win. You have to see it's not eligible. The deal is they have to be hits. And I know what we might make that happen here. Sure. You might make a pitch. Oh, my God. Oh, jeez. Don't even go there. No, no, no, That's the only rule. We have any any genre any decade, but it has to be ahead. Oh, man. Come on, you know there. There are so many records just like it like John John Lewis and the rave on doing I'm a nut. You know, I can think of a ton of them that thank God don't qualify. How bad did I do on the trivia? Well, it's not a panderer pencil you want. You want other guests, man? I'm really striking out here tonight, man. Well, you know, this isn't as bad as last week. I mean, this is a legitimate good answer. Just nobody's come close. All right. Well, I better move out of the way. So you got room for somebody else. Thanks. Appreciate it. Yeah s so it's all I ask is the records be hits, and you know, it doesn't matter any any genre any year and we usually use billboard. But if you tell may Look, this was a big cash box hit. Don't worry. I got all the charts. I can look I'll take cash boxes. Well, because certainly with the R and B stuff. I think they were actually probably better chart all the way around, and they were mortgage box oriented than others. But you know, billboard sometimes was a little too well wimpy white for my tastes. Yeah, like that's domino. Never had a number one record. You're telling me that well, they did. All right. So, uh, yeah. If you don't call, I'll just play Bobby Cartola records yet or I'll play nervous by and would come. No, I wouldn't do that to anybody. Actually, I've got so many trivia questions in front of this computer. I could barely get through it to find a Bobby Cartola record. But let Z Let's see what we can do here on Bobby. Or call 8888765593 88 88 Rollie. Next time I'll keep the keyboard closer to me, and we'll see if we can ever. You're saying you're going to a lot of trouble to play me a record? I'm not gonna like, Well, it's it's true and we might play all of them. And I will reveal the trivia answer if you don't if you don't call in the waning moments, But this is your last shot at it at 8888765593, and this was actually a huge hit in Canada. That's why Donovan complained bitterly that they played it over and over because it was a head. Fortune.

"Welcome Our two of the program. Still, hundreds killed the number 410 Wcbm 6 80 or 1 800 Wcbm 6 80 Is talking about John Lewis. A lot of e mails about this, too. And the president being asked, What do you think his legacy is going to really have no idea. It's not something I spent a whole lot of time thinking about and it shouldn't be. This legacy is going to be his legacy. All right. Right now. I guarantee you that publishers in New York have signed at least three people to write biographies of John Lewis. I guarantee it least three And there'll be plenty written about gun Lewis and his legacy will be whatever his legacy is, but ultimately he was a backbench member of Congress that you know. His civil rights work will be remembered. But in general 20 years if not 10 years, most people won't remember the name John John Lewis is Oh, yeah, that will be the most common response Should his name ever come up because that's the most common response whenever any old member of Congress who's passed away or even just retired. Comes up. The district I grew up in was now represented by receded believe, God forbid, but before that, before they redrew the district, it was status McCotter. You remember the name fattest McCotter Only because the name fatty ISS is not Super comment. Not too many Fatties is walking around. And I know that isthe McCotter. It's like knowing a jebediah and not too many of them rocket around since the Civil war. So when you hear that, you get it, But what is the legacy of that is makana of you did grow up. Living in the district where I grew up in somebody named Deke. It's too before that. I think you have no idea. Who? Well, let's his legacy going to be. I have no idea. Is it going to be Patty's MacArthur's legacy going to be quoted Led Zeppelin on the floor of the House of Representatives? Maybe. Or, more likely, it will be that most people won't remember Thadeus McCotter. Let's let's go to Joyce in Baltimore. Thanks for holding Joyce. Welcome to the show. Well, I didn't know it was the rocks. Birthday today. Happy birthday. He's listening, Teo. I'm sure. Well, I've never really aware of John Lewis. The marriage pact. I used to get him mixed up with some One, the one from Baltimore. Elijah Cummings. Yeah, used those to mix up, but So John Lewis. He died on July 17th and one with normal July. It was last week, which one he had six memorial services across three states. Well, President Kennedy And great school when he was assassinated. November 22nd by November 26. Everybody was his funeral was 25th and we were all backto work in school on the 26 I didn't get any counselors or Greece. People come in, and and I turned out just fine. And will you listen to this show, so you can't write that? Well and then Martin Luther King. I think he was Assassinated on the fourth of April 1968. He was buried under nine And then, Bobby. I want to see his funeral train. I was one of the people I saw Ted Kennedy up close. On the back of that funeral train. But again, Joyce, If you talk to somebody in their thirties, they'll know the name Bobby Kennedy. We won't really know anything about Bobby Kennedy. Other than he was. He was the president's brother or whatever they want. I know is they might know about, you know his womanizing they might know about the corruption of having a brother be attorney General of the United States, but name anybody who served with Bobby Kennedy in the United States Senate. The only reason we know about Kennedy is because Kennedy's have been crammed down our throats by the media for 50 plus years old camel lines against its 60 years. Camelot. This and all their wonderful It was so idyllic and realistically, they were terrible people. But let me say this at the time in 1968 He was a prominent figure He was running for president. He was assassinated on the six is in the ground by the eight And everybody you know was You know he wants the president's brother. And so everybody didn't know who he wass and he came on his. They blow his body all the way from California. They laid him out. It's Patrick's cathedral and then put him on a train. To go to Arlington, and he was in the ground in two days. So I'm just saying, Well, there wasn't a 24 hour news cable cable news channels. They really drag this thing out, and it's all because of that. What? You know everything that's happening now that they I think they exploited that and just Sure it dragged it out. Democrats Carol waiting tragedy and sadness and death. Joyce. That's not the Democratic Party. I know. Oh, wait. It actually is. I appreciate the call Joyce Point Well, made the idea that you're sitting there and you're watching some, You know, family members, you know, friends, or you know somebody Who's lost a family member in the last six months and wasn't able to have a memorial or you gonna have 10 people there. Imagine being the one that says You can't go to Grandma's funeral because we can't have more than 10 people There can't go to her memorial service, and you just didn't make the cut. Sorry about that. Oh, by the way, flip on the TV, And there's Memorial Service number five for John Lewis. A couple of 100 people in a church, The mayor of Washington, D. C. Imposes restrictions on mere mortals that says, if you go toe a hot spot In the country. You have to isolate yourself. You have to self quarantine for 14 days when you return. And along those hot spots is Georgia. Atlanta is in Georgia. John Lewis, his final memorial service was at a church in Atlanta. A bunch of Democrats went down there. So what does the mayor of Washington D? C? She says, you don't have to isolate for 14 days. Democrats when you come back Why It's the same mentality that is out there with. Well, you you can't go to church. You can't go to a restaurant. You can't go anywhere. You can't do anything except if you want to take to the streets and riot. Then you don't have to wear a mask. You don't have to worry about anything. If you're out there, chanting for for justice or defunding the police, then find those restrictions Don't apply last night Los Angeles That was a live stream of this online. There was a house party, they said up in a mansion in the hills of Hollywood or wherever something is a big, big house, and they had the traffic copter up there getting aerial shots of this house. You know quite a few people. A huge house is a mansion. In a gated community. But they're having people over. The police were dispatched to end that party. It must be stopped. Don't you understand? There's a pandemic going on. If they'd have just thrown up a couple of justice for George Floyd signs. And maybe said, a fire pit up then they could have said We're legitimately out here protesting in the police would have said OK, good job. Congratulations. You're allowed to keep going. It's the hypocrisy that drives me nuts. It's the hypocrisy that is damaging. You want to go to John Lewis's funeral? Fine. He just was laying in state down the hall from your office, by the way..

It's a really good idea to be naked all the time. This is. Not. Saying I know I think what the Washington Post by the way I think they did a whole story on Epstein his lane and didn't mention Clinton didn't mention my ticket was the post. Times but we know the. Cover up is in full effect they mentioned trump who kicked. Epstein Adam Merrill mar-a-lago and has denounced. Him didn't mention Clinton who would took I think it was twenty six, twenty, seven flights on the the Lolita Express and went to the island and the only one reason to go to the island. The same reason Prince Andrew went there. Upside Gis right beside just from twelve year old girls massage therapists twelve year. Olds. Sang. It isn't that isn't that. Isn't that interesting but I mean at this point at this point, it's all in total blinders happening. We're still getting people saying this the governor of New Mexico is still saying you're absolutely you're not allowed to campaign or to politics out in the streets in any way no campaigning though lit dropping no door knocking no nothing that said peaceful protests are encouraged. So it's like the same thing with the Clinton things that they now have blinders on and they are all in there's a fake there's a fake world happening this holiday world happening. And it's being reported on and talked about like it's a normal thing. It's amazing the the. One of the worst things I mean you could you couldn't drop a worst thing than I think it was the seventh John John Lewis Funeral could have been eighth but the funeral they had the other day in DC that hundreds of people fly in from all over the country. In, a small closed enclosed indoor space breath all over each other than fly home I mean it's it's the one thing above all others that the government that these governors and mayors have said, you just can't do you know you can't go to church he can't have gatherings of over more than ten people you can't fly in without quarantining they broke all the rules and the mayor said that's okay. It was for a good cause. It is really exposing these frauds like her who are she's like finding people for going. Outside without a mask and she's welcoming this huge gathering from people all over the country saying yeah. But you know John Lewis was such a such an important figure. We can. You know risk everybody's life. It's it is laughable at this point there is you know there's two sets of rules I know you saw the kids who wrote babies lives matter with Chuck Chuck, which I assume like your kids do in the driveway, right? Chuck. Schumer rains it's gone with chuck. They wrote babies. Lives matter of black babies lives matter they got arrested. Think the total number of people in DC. Who are arrested for defacing property was three after last. Two months of destruction and looting and vandalism. I think three or four people total in DC were arrested for defacing property. They arrested these two kids college kids for writing babies lives matter in. Out suddenly those two cops are good cops. Good cops around and that's that's remarkable to see. You know they've they've been writing somebody wrote in Tulsa I think back the bloom and if. A politician saying it's a racist. It's racist message and can you imagine just back up just simply support the police not even not the police who kill them just the police in general is considered a slur now and it's it's just it's it's crazy because the year ago Gerry I'm going to try to play some audio here and it probably won't work but I'M GONNA try anyway just a year ago remember this. Behind me. A filled room. Of Nine Eleven, first responders. And in front of me. A nearly empty congress. Your indifference costs these men and women their most valuable commodity. So. One thing to running out of. It should be flipped. This hearing should be flicked. These men and women should be up on that stage and Congress should be down here answering their questions. As to why this is so damn hard and takes so damn long. Did. Their. Jobs. Courage grace. Tenacity humility. Eighteen years later do yours. Thank you. Just a year ago. That's where our minds were about how valuable law enforcement was about what cops did to sacrifice themselves of the places we should have in the priority they should have it was a smack to everybody in Congress saying, Hey, you know get your bleep together. These people these people should be elevated. You know in these people should be considered heroes and they should be a priority that was just a year. You don't. You don't have to go back a year Tom. You have to go back two months before for George Floyd and we'll get to George. Floyd. There's new video that's pretty. Pretty revealing. But before George Floyd we were told first responders were all heroes. They were all those TV commercials even know what the product was. There was soft music and showing you know cops first responders going to work in the millis pandemic doing their jobs, cops, firemen first responders didn't they weren't like teachers. They were getting four months paid vacation they were working. They were taking the chances there were I, forget the number and the number of new NYPD officers who were infected who got the virus was like in the thousands I mean because they were out there on the front lines in the subway you know in. Doing what the head to do and when we saw them, we were supposed to cheer applaud clap by them coffee, buy them a drink whatever and then one rogue cop kills one alleged counterfeit dollar passer who was on drugs and disoriented. One, bad cop killed one guy in Minneapolis and all cops are bad. It's sickening a witness every day I don't care them to continue to rates nauseating. I today's show brought to you.

I agree that some of it may be cherry picked because I know that in Kew Gardens, we've had demonstrations and none of them violent. But what is your suggestion? When things spiral out of control? I think the local Lord I think that local law enforcement if things get out of control, local law enforcement has an obligation to get them back under control. The problem is, is that what we're seeing right now is nothing out of control. In fact, the violently the protest in Portland. We're kind of winding down. They were getting smaller. And you know, I don't agree. With people who are out there throwing rocks at windows and lighting fires. That's nonsense. That's not protest ng. That's not what you know the great late John John Lewis would would have approved of, or Martin Luther King or others. Okay. Protest is one thing, violence and writings. Another thing. The problem is, the president is trying to make it seem like everyone in the streets is a rioter, and that's my problem with this guy. Out whatever they're doing. The most crap they're chanting. I'll give you an example You might recall a couple years back. There were a few college students on a number of campuses around the country that put up posters and stickers. That simply, said one statement. It's okay to be wiped. And again, you know the response to those very simple, innocuous, harmless statement that I mean there was no invective directed against Joe, First of all. Black lives matter is a movement that's gaining support nationwide. It's got 65% approval across the nation. People who don't approve of black lives matter fit into a couple of categories. One Old white guys that hate to see change it all young white guys that can't compete in a fair marketplace and are concerned that now they you know they're not going to have a leg up just because they're a white male in America. John Lewis in Selma You know to Mike Mike Two Weeks after I arrived some I was pregnant. Do race play Jesse Owens in race and I mean talk about like history lessons. Unlike legitimately like like big into the Nineteen Thirties Actually going to Berlin Germany shooting that in the same stadium at the that Jesse ran in. I think there's a whole nother. Beast betrays cradle by human genome. A person who had a family in legacy You know for me Jesse Owens obviously wasn't alive but his family still very much there you've got the world who who knows you got track enthusiasts who will tell army. He didn't run like that. That's gotta be really really accurate the same time And there's only so much footage of like these guys so you gotta like like piece together a a person that you're only seen bits and pieces of any. You're trying to fill feeling like a great area John John Lewis in Psalm. I knew Mike John on was going to have to see me play. That's like a scary thing. Like the Congressmen. The Great John. Lewis and you just WanNa do him justice do his family justice do all of his supporters. Just isn't as legacy justice. And so I just think it's a different beast in like playing a character like Michael where I could finance my own little own little stuff down thank you. Oh you want me to answer to. I wanted to hear your voice again because you you know if you can play as so many different people but it's like oh that's what he sounds me bore. You know what I mean. Oh my gosh I gotta get back to. It is all the things that he said I you know I agree with you. Know I have had a similar experience experience You know it's I think when you you play a real person especially a person that people know they're famous also There's there's a certain amount of like honor in joy is. It's a different type of joy I get from from doing it at a different type of responsibility that I get from doing so the research becomes you know I it becomes scholarly for for me becomes like okay. I have to read these books. Have to talk to these. People have to a have to go through this and so that I have the ability to bring a certain amount of this intelligence to to the script and the story and also you know a back story because I think the pitfall is that you only show things are good. You know you only show you know the the covered people are already know like the face people Laureano like I always felt like a need to like dig in and try to find. Even if even if it's not stated the vulnerabilities and insecurities securities injuries. Lay like for instance with a four forty two. I knew you know he would never slide on his right side. Oh he would he would. There's no footage of him doing it. And it's not ever said but he had an injury on that side. Ah that From from early on and so when I looked at I was like I can tell I could see the Concede in his Ryan. I can also see that you know. Oh he would have to see the slide on the side so any point where the direct order the stunt coordinator was like you should slide this way because you because they don't want it from home I say he never did it as a he. He never did it. I can show you can go to my relegated if you wanted to. He never did like those types of things that I feel like are are important. You know In other cases you'll like there are certain things that maybe are nine. Imported light for Thurgood Marshall's like I'm not as light as you know and so I know to do a lot of people that will he played this in in. I was like you know I agree with those people. I sit and play play this because but then the family was like Nope we you can name all the other actors that you think should players. Because I had a list I was like what about you know and they were like no wrote me a letter talk to me is like you know this is what I want and I was like well. Now feel the responsibility ready. You know. He doesn't spare us the spirit of in supersedes and with people's physical you know hangups are including my own. So how do I find the essence of this person as opposed to the physicality is person actually might teach us something you know about being able to see this person certainly so it's those things that you know it's hard because each one of them are different Each one is different. You know but but they all presented that like I wake up knowing I'm doing for a big reason. So beca Howard. I love that. That younger issued a question about how could she get her funding remember. She said something about when she had to look outside. But you grave such a good analogy about Ryan Kugler. Making a movie fruitvale station that he knew his story was low budget. And that got the attention of a big studio because basically both ask you as young creatives. What do you say to people people who come out the gate and wanting like a big budget like Bill Street bigger budget with bills? I mean Black Panther like to be seen like how do you encourage encourage them like work. Small in it'll come later or is that it does it. Does the thing about it is this would be the what you said. Is The answer work. Small smaller than the money will come. work work with what you have at your disposal disposal like this is funny Video the do did he was like remaking was Nikki Moniz or Beyond say but he he he did her whole like like show. I can't remember the way he did her show but he used all all of this stuff from his house to light plane. He was like using a pillow as a character. Any work and it was it was creative. It was like have you seen it. It was it was creative so like that's actually the spirit of what makes what makes you a ready. Not For the moment. That's the point. Is You want to be ready for a moment right. So whatever you do your house and everybody's not seeing it. Ah like is what we step on camera or you step on the set as director producer dash is gonNA prove to like make you available ready for that moment is that you know you can do and what people are like. We can't figure this out you've been at home playing around with stuff. You've already done this Z.. Already done is already lit the scene. If you cinematographer you already lit. Guess you you've been playing around your house you've been in like like this before you. You want to do like that so you WanNa do stuff small so you can experiment. Yeah like I'm really experiment for this bigger moment. This thing that I'm doing right now. It might get a claim within amy vendor real one Z. That's that energy energy is. What makes you stoppable? Crazy bet reminds me of something that Berry Jenkins told me. Actually you know. He's he said that he made moonlight. So he can make beale street. He wanted to make but he missed. The moonlight was going to be a million dollar budget. A million five and this is something that he could to pull off in three weeks and just get it done and get out into the world and just be very conscious and careful with the way he delivered it to people And then get a chance to get twelve. Fifteen million dollars is to make Bill Street so I think it's just that it's like everything's a building stepping stone. I think you've just got to focus on the work of it. All in all the other stuff will come. I I see people passing around and then nothing against this. No you gotTa do you gotTa Hustle if you give me a business card right. That business card doesn't me nearly as much because I got I got call you you know say I got to see I. I have to have me looking for this particular day but if you have a movie If you put a movie in my hand if you put a video in my hand you know I it's I gotTa do is probably GonNa look at it and judge and that's debt debt now trying to find you as opposed to like you know having a knee. Yeah so it's do something that's what it boils down to his. Do what you can where you are and what you have. What do you have bigger happened? Twenty members yep go. Thank you guys being a time..

I just want you to know that I am really Lomas brown I've been there all day and I recall can bribe everybody the station so something is going on so obviously we all have a full thank you for settling that let's get to the phones if we didn't laugh we would cry time in Detroit what do you think about this. she's dead wrong I mean is that to say that black folks in terms of facial recognition technology couldn't you know identify you know uses identify white folks and the same thing like okay for instance in the city tried with the with the student population okay most of the student population in the city it's it's black or African American okay is that to say that whites and non non people of color couldn't teach black students hi you know this thing is just absolutely insane I mean the what the what the same I mean the holes with their hair airlines are now using facial recognition technology and I mean even if the detainees they've been using this thing for the last two years now and what I like to see if it is if they have any kind of break down in terms of you know the people that they have facially recognize with that software has anyone been misidentified because as of today I've heard people yelling and screaming about you know it's and it's it's not a hundred percent which nothing is right but I haven't heard anything to the negative to say that you know people were arrested you know because long because there would be remiss identity you might have missed it there but the chief said he answered the very question you asked he said not one mess identification documented yet in the two years that they've been using this software as an aid and here's the thing she wants to throw the baby out with the bath water listen to what she says here and she was you know she was kind of kidding around with it during the tour and things like that. then she you know quite frankly got a little snarky. some sixty percent error rate because it doesn't have a black hole you know I know that if you start to the error rate among. especially.

"Joyce. Beattie's african-american eric and what a what why is that interesting wise it in the story. Why did he mention we because the congressional black caucus doesn't like the justice democrats challenging their power our because they're incumbents now all the answers are also black so lacey claims the challenger now fairly well known corey bush. She was a knock down the house with okay okay. That's the documentary etc and he came out there. Oh yeah it's curious that they're challenging. African american stitcher incumbents well. You didn't mesh all not african americans that they're challenging and you seem to imply racism from black people challenging you that makes no sense at all like no. My name is lacey click. I deserve the seat because i've been here the whole time and so it is a totally scandalous ridiculous charge of racism against other black people right so now if you're a reporter porter real reporter you would go. That's curious pay lacy clay. What do you mean by that and by the way it's not the congressional black caucus the congressional black caucus on omar right and she says no no. I don't buy that that don't make any sense. She's a justice democrat so he but he went further he points. It's out this propaganda that the incumbents and the powerful wanna put out without giving the context of the challenger is also black so why why why do you do that. I mean if you say it's not racism at a minimum it is because you're trying to protect the powerful. I don't why on god's green earth doing that. If you're a writer or deputy editor for the new york times yeah okay. I want to show you some more because they're so much here. After the last democratic mccray debate <hes> the spokesperson for justice stems while each shaheed pushed back at claire mccaskill the debate commentary remember she said <hes> free stuff doesn't play well in the midwest so <hes> he tweeted one reps where she needed to leave and han omar are from the midwest to medicare and social security are both technically free stuff and they play well. Oh so as you for some reason weisman didn't like that tweet and decided to write this. He wrote saying representatives. It is for sheena to leave and ilhan omar from the mid west is like saying representative. Lloyd doggett is from texas or representative. John john lewis is from the deep south. Come on as you can imagine this did not go over well for so many reasons so he ended up posting this a little bit after that he said early this morning and try to make a point about regional differences in politics between urban and rural areas. I deleted the tweets because i realized i did not adequately make my point and real quick. I want to go back even further because back in two thousand sixteen when senator chuck schumer back minnesota a._g. Keith ellison to lead the d._n._c. Weisman tweeted this he wrote defeated dims could've tapped rustbelt populace to head party instead black muslim progressive from minneapolis. Okay you know where i'm coming in for a second but when he he said he could've tapped a rust belt populace. I was like wait is he. Talking about keith ellison because keith ellison is a massive populous and he's from from the midwest that would perfectly describe keith ellison. He's black other. This was weird right so then he turns around and goes but no date back the other guy ellis's other guy because he's black and muslim. Look what you around. Can we also talk about like john. John and i have like a really big hospital for representative john lewis. I feel like if he hadn't done so much of what he's done. Throughout his life i wouldn't be sitting here and so who who what his entire career his history as an activist is about the deep south atlanta although it is where black people get to live and breathe a little freer in georgia..

Just beginning from personal experience. Call me Dr. Okay. Dr Louis, thank you that. I want. Did you like that? I called you Dr in the near middle name. Yeah. I did actually like that. It's actually my last name. I'm getting legally changed. So you'll be John Lewis Lewis. Can you make your middle name? John Lewis actually thinking about then it'll be John Lewis, John John Lewis Lewis good idea. I'm actually thinking about changing it to John Lou is Louis. Not funny, the bureau, cool, people would go, hi suit. You did there. Yeah. Though, Beales rock. Okay. Well, I have a correction because a couple of weeks ago, we said the I wasn't very funny and you wanna take that back now. Did I really say that I'm such a jerk really have gory say it, and so many. Listen to your topsy didn't say in. So many words, but you implied it strongly. You know, how you did that I didn't laugh I told a really good joke about Dr Seuss, and there is no laughter. So you wanna take that back and correct it now posthumously, well, so the actual correction is a Barent our claims about rice birds. What did we do wrong? They don't rice does not actually kill burns. All all you misunderstood me. I'm into say rice in kills birds like the poison from breaking bad, you know, because rising I watch that. Oh, breaking bad. There's this poison called rice. And they used it to kill like one of the bag is in like season while they're all bad guys. He had bird the no it wasn't. Onset. You could. I mean, he could have killed it with it. I mean, maybe they left the rice out while they were filming it, and then like all the birds in Albuquerque died potentially. A wedding. I mean, I just assume that was what the tradition was home schooled. I don't know what people do it, weddings. So I just assumed people were like here have some poison kill your enemies. Okay. I would do I would grab a handful of rice in chunk at the Brian go. May this kill all the bad ideas throat at her why the woman while the groom's probably already gone by then he's busy open the door and shit. What do you mean? He's busy doing stuff. You know? He's got important, man. Shit to do you know? Yes. If the guy if the groom came up throw so met him to like, go, you schmuck? Okay. Have a handful Wrightson and all birds would come up and tap on it and die stupid birds. Sorry. You had a correction what we were saying last week. No not last week. I think this is like a couple of weeks ago. We should play landslide right now. It was a long time ago. It really was. But that will to say is if you're feeding your little babies rice have no fear. They can eat it. That's good. But it doesn't fix my rice story. Does it? Well, you were talking about rice in while. I was they tell I was actually real. Yeah. Okay. Moving on. I will say this though, it wouldn't be the first time. It wouldn't be the first time that I made a mistake involving rice, though, would it. Segue. You like that segue. You also made me realize I misled people to saying that they had at correction about right because you definitely did make that race in the microwave. Yeah. Did we tell that story of the podcast? Yeah. Okay. We'll just totally forgot 'cause I thought maybe that's how we got on the whole topic of rice anyway..

"Whereas if they don't if they feel like they're going to basically be like Mavericks west in terms of their free agency according abilities, and if people are going to have second thoughts about playing with the Braun and guys are going to be like do they have to make a trait? Do they have to go out and drop like get Ingram ball, or whatever they need to trade for AD? John wall. I mean that was actually like that real very nice high. On the Lakers, John John Lewis forgive like, I will say though, I love this conversation right now because the Lakers of already passed on that chance as far as we know both with Paul George with Kawhi 'cause they could have probably been those packages. But you have to think that like, honestly like, I think the presi Popovich wouldn't piss on the Lakers if they were on fire, you're probably right. And that's why shirt, but at the same time those packages were better zoomed that. He's saying a Lakers dynasty. I can't imagine that. Yeah. I know relegated to the. You think there's actually a sentiment across the league that to not to not feed into this. Like Burton Lakers. I think they're gonna make them pay for it. I think they're gonna have to give empty the cupboard or they're going to be like, let's find out whether LeBron recruit free agent. That's what I think I think it's fascinating. Because like if I was the Lakers and everything was equal like I would start thinking about I was telling Justin yesterday about Ingram specifically because I think his trade sock. Probably. I don't know if it'll go higher from here, and like talking about the point that Kevin Durant was talking about like Ingram is a literally like walking example right now struggling to play with the Barnes a young. Yeah. So I think he's very fascinating to me in terms of what LeBron once to do with with legs wanna do with wine in the near future. And I would consider moving him. But no, it's crazy. We were just talking about how lebrons with all of these like schmos of like our could be the second best team in the west. So even if he doesn't get a star, even if he gets like, let's say a B level guy like, Bradley Beal. And it's just like every other position is fine and set to like promote his businesses. The we find the can matters alternately and adding onto that though so many of the Lakers deals are either expiring are one year deals, so they are going until the nineteen twenty. They are going to have sixty two million for who. That's how much cap there. That's keisha. Decided that's the question is just like apparently xactly at this trouble climb through Seve funding media group. Max land interesting a room, and they're not they don't have any like major start assign than like, what are they gonna freak out into the Portland thing? Yeah. Right. Right. Right. No. It's also there are so many media members in the bay. There's like. Travelling army with can't tell me, they're not putting heart.

"Because you could play a superhero playing whatever call me. But yeah. To me, it's like, there's always an alien invasion or something threaten the earth. And then superhero X comes and saves the day. But maybe he dies I forbid or maybe his girlfriend a little buddy dies and this. And at the end, you watch the credits, and there's a little thing afterwards. Some wims ical thing to lead you to the next movie. There's just so stock and cliche for me at this. Yeah. Did you see vendors Infinity war or black this C, affinity war? It did not see Black Panther. But I do want to because that seems like I like kind of the low level guys that become big gardens the galaxy and never heard of that before. Right. And so it was excited about that. Why love Michael Jordan who played kill monger in that? Yeah. He played the villain news. Great. And he you know, he's in creed. Two coming out, which we'll talk about. But yeah, he's he's like he's a cool actor because I think early on. I remember interviewing him for like movies that were just small movies. He didn't lose Visit it. guy Domo Michael Jordan, Michael Jordan plays the lead in creede Doshisha. He was the main villain in Black Panther. He played kill monger. Okay. And people said he stole the movie kind of thing from Chadwick bozeman who played Black Panther because he's just he's that larger than life person. But I was saying I remember interviewing him like it. He used to come in to when I used to work at young Hollywood, he used to come in and have all these kind of teeny Bopper type movies. He was promoting. And then all of a sudden he made this shift and he's now like, but he's still the same do like when I see him. He's still the same guy which I love that. It hasn't changed yet. Let's cool cool generation they guitar solo with like, Donald Glover was awesome covers in this. People say what movies have you seen? I always forget, I can't think is due to go on the plane a flight like Japan or something, and we'll see this whole list of new movies. Maybe I'll watch Black Panther or just watch the wedding singer for the eight hundred gosh, I do that too. You know what I mean? Right. I have this weird thing. I do the same thing. I mean, most of the time I get on planes, and I'm life seen it seen it seen it to see what he's for a living. Please just have something that I haven't seen. But then if they do I end up watching the same thing like I have these certain ones like lost in translation, great. I watch on. I have to watch plane and then. Grand Budapest hotel if you ever thought of have, but it's one of my favorites. Okay. But if you haven't seen have you seen mission impossible fallout that was on my list. I heard that's one of the best movies. What did this action movies? It's I think it's one of the best movies of the year. Yeah. Like, it's just back. It's just that good. And because he's doing every single frame of every John John Lewis. Lewis me away that the studio allows Tom Cruise to do all of his own stunts. I think he kind of I who knows what the deal is and the insurance policy, but I feel like he's just that guy that wants it didn't start out that way. Like it started out. He did a couple of stunts, and then more and more and more. And then he got so addicted to it. And then he because he's a producer on it. You know, issue crews he can probably tell them, I'm not gonna do it unless I do all my aunts. But that's the thing to like, you get into this Jackie Chan type thing where I don't know. How old Tom Cruise is fifty six I think I mean how much stunts can you do not that it matters age wise, but you're jumping across a chasm and you land, and you're twenty six-year-old ankles can take it maybe twenty fifty six year olds. Can't he got hurt on this one? Right. Yeah. It's still remember back. When Brad Pitt was doing Troy, and he tore his achilles tendon, which is so ironic because he was playing who. Right. Achilles..
