"On some projects with the north carolina. Wildlife resources commission for here Here within the state and partnership with national forest So it's here. We've never had a conservation delivery person that's been solely in the southeast. Now somebody that pretty much did almost the entire east coast so now somebody that's down here and doing the work just for here Is really exciting. And it really shows the opportunity for us to to make landscape scale change You know with the the new model. I would also say todd waldron and the northeast is bound. Saffir like a month. Maybe like five weeks. And he's really hit the ground running there and I think you're gonna start seeing soon. Some really exciting things come from his aunt about opportunities in the northeast and then In the mid atlantic We're that person will start By the end of march so that'll be an announcement about that forest director. Here coming out soon. So i think that You know that's another region similar to the southeast that needs some love and attention you know the the gw and the jeff down. There needs some work as well as the On keelan west virginia As well as pennsylvania and all the state land in maryland. So i think the we're we're really poised to to have an excellent twenty twenty one twenty twenty. You know when you look at it on the face Was really was it hard. It was a lot of transition for the organization that we never left conservation delivery. We continued to lean into to the delivery piece in. We'll continue to do that here in the early part of the year and so that's that's really what we're focused on. I can't leave out. Just stay up by in your neck of the woods. Yeah just sort of the benchmark for everybody you worked on that big big project and the chippewa three chip which is excellent and he sent me a report recently. They might have had their walking trails that he's helped facilitate putting in state of minnesota In in different work that he's doing in wisconsin Has been an excellent so. Yeah yeah john jared or they're always doing something actually Listening to the show guy ryan. I've i've run into them. The woods timer to out here and we regular communication. But he's just bought some acquired some property and he injured were to sell the property last week. And that's the the private lands component that is available to folks. There's some there's resource professionals within our jazz and abs that can go out and walk your land. Connect you to possible grants or funding. Do have it at work. And there's a lot of pieces in place for folks to work with and alongside the rough girl society. Yeah absolutely i mean. It's the public workers. Excellent is absolutely important presents. Where most folks like you. Annika go to hunt time. We can't most land is privately. Owned birds live there to that portion of the equation. I do know that you guys are running a membership drive at the moment. I think i saw some swag. Maybe maybe a partnership with bike gear. Yeah yeah brent. Really stepped up huge and supporting us with our our march membership drive for our sixtieth anniversary. So what What we would love it you know is is most folks were the thirty five dollar rough grouse society member what we would love is for our sixtieth anniversary to have folks Consider that you know the the sixty dollar level. A member of rough got society and american woodcock society. We're calling it sort of our sixty for the sixtieth initiative When you do that at the at that level you know. You're joined both organizations. We worked with brenten. Have a pretty pretty sweet t shirt. There's a buff involved and then There's also a gift card to pie gear as well. So if you're if you're checking out any of his stuff yeah There's an opportunity to support us and Get a discount on some of his gear in that that That gift card goes dependent on the level that you go after so i asked folks to consider. That's an excellent deal in my opinion And obviously it gets the opportunity to support us. Yeah it's always nice. When the corporate partners brands companies you guys work with step into kind of sweeten the deal because then you guys can sort of do your thing and focus on conservation delivery which is what we're all concerned with but get something out of it to from a partner like bike years. I will tease this out there actually for listeners. I'm supposed to get brent on the podcast. This month. I gotta reach out to them and get it on the calendar so if folks are hearing that go check out the girl society membership drive checkout pike year and if you have questions about pie gear stuff that you'd want me to ask. I haven't done the interview yet. Send my way and i again. I can't i can't stress enough. How appreciative we are for for folks like brenton pike and in our partners because those are the folks that allow us when we do these promotions to take as much money as possible from those memberships and put it right into conservation delivery. Like we're talking about that. I don't have got to ask you. I wanted to touch on or see if there were any memorable moments from your from your hunts last fall specifically related to the puppy. You did mention one. Where she she beat the dogs to that covey of quail and of was a lightbulb moment. I was curious if there were any other light bulb moments or maybe birds that you killed that. Were just like all came together for you. Yeah with the pa-. I would say a couple so i have the the puppy with a covey of quail. I could literally take you there in my mind. I if i wanted to. I think The the new year's eve grouse that i killed over the Actually i don't i don't know i was with a very dear friend of mine Who unfortunately lost a dog. Last fall on new year's eve and we are hunting not just me and him in the puppy and And she's running the through the snow in this sort of mixed aspen spruce cover in all of a sudden she. She hits the brakes that essential like slam on point sideways. Like there is something right here and him. And i both sort of looked at each other like who we have to kill this bird for the in that like late season barking. She's excited.

"I guess in general take a bad job that they probably shouldn't have cuz it wasn't the right scenario to take that job and it's going well and then I seen High School coaches get their football program closed or I've seen college coaches get you know, they they had problems. So the administration was fatter and the NFL they couldn't get a quarterback. I mean, there's a lot of stuff you can't control see if you're Robert solid. You're in a good position. Don't leave a good position for a bad one. Only leave a good position for another good job, and I would be very careful. If I was Robert Saleh considering leaving the San Francisco 49ers. I want to talk about Washington. as I as I look at the Washington football team this year one thing stands out to me is that you know, Alex Smith is absolutely kind of the perfect quarterback for their head coach Ron Rivera home. He's not very flashy but he's safe and he's consistent and I trust him and Ron Rivera knowing how he will kind of quarterback who would want how Ron R does quarterback math. He's a defensive-minded coach. He wants to take care of the football. He wants a good veteran leader. I think Alex Smith is likely the guy in Washington for another year or two after this year where I just don't think washing the quarterback yet. People are going to say are they going to draft a guy they're going to get this Alex Smith is great. He's kind of he's playing very very well. He's rallied the team. They like him they respect him. He takes care of the ball. He allows our events of a very very well and I think part of why I mean Washington right now is on a three-game winning streak reason why is because they don't make mistakes. They play very very clean football. If you beat them. You gotta beat them. They're not going to beat themselves and part of that is Alex. He sets the tempo is the towing. He's the veteran leader and if I look around the NFL and go hm What quarterback do I trust to not make decisions do not make huge mistakes? Right? If I like what I take Alex Smith or Jared Goff. I take Alex Smith when I take Alex Smith or Kirk Cousins. If I if I need a guy and I'm saying my one situation is I don't want the guy to make a big mistake that will make a big interception or this or that the guy I trust to not screw up is Alex Smith over Baker Mayfield Kirk Cousins John Jared Goff Carson Wentz. I mean, there's Philip Rivers..

"Handle it. Are you afraid you should be all right, So we started with Jaws. Then we moved on to Friday. 13th provide 43 yesterday have chance to get to his paranormal activity. The one that scared me the most was paranormal activity just from a movie experience was It was terrifying. Tonight You moved a number to a movie you may not have ever seen. It was called Wolf Creek came out 2005. Originally they did this movie and it was going to be an old like a slasher movies, an Australian movie and the guy who wrote it. Directors like you know, I don't like this. I'm thinking about something else. And then he saw a trial that was going on and he changed everything. And it's based on the true stories of a man who was known as the backpack killer Ivan Milat, and this guy was everything that was bad. I don't if you guys have ever been to Australia, but there's a lot of nothing out there. Take our desert. Multiply it by 10,000. And you could get lost so people disappearing in the Outback is nothing. That's Sze not totally crazy. But he killed a lot of people. They just went disappearing. He pick up Backpackers take him back to his his little area mining company he had and he was evil. Now they cast the guy that was a little bit more. Entertaining named John Jared, who's a great Australian actor. He's in a lot of Quinn Tarantino movies. But the movie itself is terrifying. Just because the Outback is even when you're escaping. If you don't know where, because he's remember he's getting Backpackers, Germans, British people, and that's how they caught him. A guy by the name of Paul Onions escaped him. They did a report not thought nothing of it. And then they found two girls who went missing. They found their bodies and he says, I think I know he did it. He contacted them. They found his report. They brought him back over and Ivan Milat died last year in prison..

"It from the field. The four of US got together last Friday to preview the upcoming bird season and run our dogs on some wild birds immediately after the recording of this podcast. So at that said, let's welcome into the conversation at onto the project from podcast. John Jared inside. Mind Yep Yep. Well, that's why drag them through the blow down cover. Someone's gotTa shoot all those hairs. That one is just like edged. The one right by when we were getting out of the coverage. Shot that back in the covered I shot one but John. And rolled it. was laying there dead shot at again. Wade. This sobe times from my point of view. So we time you didn't see it down I. Shot It. It tumbled behind a tree. I? Kind of just kind of lead it on shot Gamer and thought was going to be. Tumbled shot. So Keel, double tap. Are we recording? Yeah, we are now. Okay. So I just figured since we're kind of on-scene on location, we would do a soft intro and not my my so formal welcome to the show. But with that said, welcome to the product podcast listeners, I don't do many of these where we are. Actually in wild places if you will. So this is I think this going to be kind of fun. It's happy hour it's Friday evening chairs and yet. Cheers. Cheers. socially. Distanced. Cheers. Yup and We are on a location where after we're done talking I, think the Sun's going to be about right in the sky and it's going to be pretty cool early September sake and we're GONNA run dogs on some wild birds possibly find a sharp Taylor to in Wisconsin. So let's introduce my guess you have heard from two of these gentlemen before the third person hasn't been on the PODCAST, but you may have heard of them we'll start to my left Jon. Quick Intro and what you do for rough girl society. So. John staggered m the regional forest conservation director, the rough grow society covering Wisconsin Minnesota Iowa and Illinois Basically I work with our conservation programs trying to work with private landowners, industrial partners, and public land agencies to manage for early successional and rough grouse habitat. That sounds like important stuff. Very important. We talked about quite a bit of that when we were when you were last on the podcast that would have been was that December, we went hunting. Late. Late? November. Okay. Late November we went hunting not too far from here northern Wisconsin chasing birds and recorded a podcast cabin with one of our other guests jared remind the listeners we are what you do jared Alma I'm a forest wildlife specialists with rough grou- society cover the northwest part of the state assisting. Private landowners with developing habitat plans and our third guest today guy that I've gotten to know over the last year. So we keep in keep pretty close touch and we we kind of frequent some of the same haunts, not always together. But today it worked out where you going to be at the cavern. Simon. decided to join us here. We were going to be here. You are not a rough girl society employees, but you're a member and your your new rough grouse hunter. Member before I even started rough goes on. Yeah. went to went to girls camp and Eagle River last year. My first. My first experience of the girls was really my first woodcock. I shot I shot overnight over my dog. That was quite impressive. Feel planning to go back to Eagle River this year. Absolutely. Late, that'd be late. September. Are you guys GonNa go I? Will I don't think Johns I will not be I haven't anniversary that weekend now is that been cleared with Swede there has been okay. East forgetting but we. Just. WanNa make sure you know it it is it is tempting and actually Rethinking vacationing up in the up for that for a long weekend and I. May actually convince the wife that we might have to swing through scamper away at the all right to make a pitstop over there might look like a fun time last year. I wasn't there very, very good time very relaxed event. I think I mean when you say so you're absolutely I mean besides shoot my first bird the lessons were very relaxed very personal but then also the Bonfires Really. Something, for for people if they're if they're nervous about getting getting into grouse and woodcock on. I mean real laid back type event really informational provide all the informational seminars you go out with people for very casual serve just hunting experienced showing you what type of covers habitat look for really well from my my perspective, get them and are just play but very well put on programs quite quite well networking to it's a little bit like college. So I'm still in touch with most people I met and two Croup Honda List for sure we all still. Trying, to meet up this year Yeah I think it was just based on like the recaps and Simon you wrote an article for the rough ground study blog about it last year based on the recaps. It was I. think it exceeded expectations as far as turnout and I I don't know if it I. Think it was a sell out. I. Don't know if it was what the capacity was but I do know from talking. Sweet. A little bit that the as of today I think there are still spots open by it's limited to one hundred people this year, and now I'm thinking about this I might have to put this podcast out a little sooner than I was thinking maybe we can get some promo but there are as up today there were spaces left at rough grouse camp in Eagle River it's like September twenty sixth. Around their twenty th through the twenty seven maybe. It's the last weekend in September. So folks can can definitely check out that. Since you been on the podcast before and you just Kinda hinted that like how you came into grouse-hunting what was the spark that? Made you take the plunge and so I'm GonNa grouse camp was that. You were thinking about it before that. Kind of sitting right beside me right now obviously has a podcast, another video mytalk shooter sitting right beside me and I was..

"So Abdullah the butcher is indeed for and then it's into he's from Ontario, Canada, even though he was what was the What was the food that he is or was making in in Alabama? Did you find out what was in it while he was Atlanta's permanently closed now, But it was a house of ribs, and it was a barbecue slash Chinese food joint. Okay. Very good at Lebatard showed Tony put it on the pole. Have you ever eaten our herd of a barbarous, greedy operating barbecue slash Chinese food joint? Chris? What was the funniest thing from the sports weekend? Ryan. No job, Brian. He's our favorite around here. Bob Ryan. He's become the king of the butt Tweet. I'm convinced that this point he's just doing it on purpose, and he's just playing us all in a fiddle. He tweeted this weekend, just the at sign. And it's like if you if you check his tweets and every tweets but sweets, they become his most retweeted tweet. So I feel like he's ahead of all those on this, and he's doing all that on purpose. Tony, How about you? What was the funniest thing from the sports weekend? Funniest thing was dream on Green getting fined $50,000 for tampering on TNT for ST Get Devin Booker out of Phoenix. He's not even the bubble. He's not even working, and he's still getting fined. Keandre it is. It is funny that whatever it is that he earned from TNT for that night of broadcasting work is going to end up costing him more than whatever it is that he earns two gods. What did you think was the funniest thing from the sports weekend? The Phoenix Suns being the best team in the bubble, the MBA. Abel. It's never been the best of anything, but they've had a bad run the sons of the sons and played a decade of meaningless basketball. Roy what was the funniest thing from the sports weekend? Mets pitcher John Jared Hughes attempted field a slow roller feeling and Geminis knee into the ground Korean a. Div it it cost grounds crew to come out and fix the fuel. That's your Mets to got that that is your Mets. You saw that play he's talking about right? It was a routine sort of slow roller. That he, uh he basically attacked the baseball with maximum clumsy. It was unbelievable. Anyone of us would have done that better without harming the fields the way that he did funnier yet they're three games behind the Moreland's Mike. What was the funniest thing from the sports weekend? The A's and as show I wanted that one they broke social distancing mandates from Major League baseball to participate in the benches clearing brawl in which no one actually threw a punch. I mean, if you could if you gotta break the mandates, get a shot at so funny. I mean, the whole thing is funny, because all to pay is totally confused. Canfield. His position is hitting 1 77 and making everyone wonder. Wait a minute. Where the Astros just totally a cheating contrivance like this guy was every people Lee and he's a garden gnome. He's like, four feet tall, and now he can't hit a baseball and he can't feel this position and they can't even fight right because they all they did was try and damage each other by coughing on each other. Right now, People are wondering. Was he ever good at all? Unbelievable. Pay that man his money. You can't make that up. Those two got breaking all the protocols to fight with the Astros. It's amazing that a team is good at a steam going to be a lot of people that way Gonna make a lot of people want to fight him. They've got to be the random ass champion. We get because Major league baseball shortened everything to 60 games. We're going to get one. We are likely to get a random champion. Yes, draftkings people. "Sure I don't know if I'd WANNA trudge back there to that. She brings spring Turkey hunting season. I definitely would not want to trudge through swamps to get back. That would be tough to get in there. I think it trophy though. Yeah definitely saw him out there. They're definitely there. Yeah yeah that's again going back to this time of year being able to park the truck and just take a peek at the compass just trudge off into a a big expanse of country. Like that I just I get so much enjoyment out of that and I mean you never know what you're gonNA find back there. Obviously we're trying to find growls this time of year but there's lots lots to see out there and we saw wolf lot of Wolf Wolf signed today we did YEP but we did. We did see another little critter today. We saw yes so so there's a couple of things so we saw we saw a lot of Wolfson and this is the first time that I've really covered ground this year. I know that everywhere I hunt. Whether it's in Minnesota Wisconsin is wolf country. So I know that I have that. But it's a little bit different when you got that dusting snow on the ground and you see the tracks in the first spot that we jumped into. Today we were park the side of the road and this guy came and we chatted with him he was he was. I don't know what he was doing exactly but he. He saw the rough girl society truck and he wanted to stop and we had A. We had a good conversation. He he made a comment about there being a lot of rules in the area but again I know that everywhere I hunt as well contract but we we started walking there and it was not very long before we saw wolf tracks and they were okay all over and they're well we. We saw a Bob Cat track today. Though we determined that it was probably fishery right track because jared notices his footprint. It was hard to tell because the dogs were circling. The one re write a fight him off the track jared or trying to get him in as they're tracking expert but but we we think it was a fissure. That was big track for a for a Fisher is not a small animal but yeah they're bigger than you'd think. Yeah Yeah when you see him in person. I've actually seen a few pretty close this year and it's There there are a lot bigger than you think. Yeah well and a friend of mine. I went trapping one year. I've got I've I've tagged along trapping with a friend of mine in Minnesota where you're trapping for Martin and Fisher. And we had gotten a few Martin's we had had never got a fisher. But you Kinda you sort of have those in your head like Martin Fisher the same thing but a Fisher is considerably bigger than a pine marten. A pine martens kind of Pine Hind Martens like a really big urban. which also what did you say? Urban Ermine I. Earns maybe more correct. Okay okay well I WANNA go at the correct one. Ermine that was that was unexpected thing to see at the end of the day. Yeah so very sociable. Ermine he was was he was really curious about us and he was cute little guy. Yeah and jared faddem tonight. Yup We The snow shoe on the tailgate and I was on it almost immediately. Exactly no worries about us. He knew he was gonNA warm meal tonight. Yeah we're not going to wrap up quite quite yet. We're getting close but I do want to talk about a little bit about rough girl society in the sense that we've kind of touched on it throughout but John Jared do due distinctly different things for the rough grou- society and we'll start with jared because jared you have a unique position with the rough ground society and and correct me if I'm wrong but almost all of your focus is on private land owners. Is that correct. Yep The three yeah so talk about that a little bit as far as what you you are as a resource to private landowners in connection with the rough ground society right so I guess too. I set the stage a little bit. You know we've talked a lot about our abundance of public land that we have have right in northern Wisconsin. But that being said there's still a tremendous and a majority of the ownership is in non industrial private forest so we also have some mm-hmm industrial private forest lands. I don't work with industrial forest landowners. Just what we call non industrial private forest land. Or just you know your average landowner whose Kinda got back forty forty that has a huge impact on rough grouse and woodcock because it interfaces with all the public land and it also provides some.

"And you're listening to talk in pets. I want to introduce to the program right now, Jesse burns and Jesse is actually a mutual rescue film participant. And they did a film on her. Jesse in Andy Andy is her dog. I wanna welcome to the program. Jessie, burns HSE how you doing? Doing wonderful. It's great to have you on the show with talkin pets. I want to introduce you to Dr J. Hi, how are you? Lexi, our producer. Now, I'm very familiar, of course with mutual rescue. Actually, I put in for them to do a film on me as well. And we'll see if that happens. But also, I'm familiar with Carol on Avello fee is the founder of mutual rescue wonderful woman. And how did they find you? What can you tell the audience what your story was about? An I note if they go onto mutual rescue dot org, which is the website. They can actually see this film. And it's what it's about ten minutes long, six minutes long, and I actually found out about messed me to rescue because of air competing, which was the first film that they put together about a man. Yes, amazing film. If you haven't seen it, it's incredible. But about a man who adopted a dog and then ended up losing about one hundred forty pounds. He credits adopting this dog with saving his life. Yes. So actually like ninety million hits. Went viral, which is pretty impressive. Pretty amazing. So I saw his film, and they were doing a call for stories, and I have a story about how my dog rescued my life my boyfriend of several years into committing suicide couple of years ago, and I adopted a dog, and she really pulled me through that. And I credit her with she's the main reason I am still living today. I think and so I decided to sit my submit my story, and they actually picked it. And and made my film Tober is national adopt a dog month, and Dr J actually here in Tampa Bay where produce the program Dr Jared works at the humane society of Tampa Bay. And did you get Andy you found India online, but was a shelter or shelter? So I just started after my boyfriend passed away kind of only thing that sort of could get my mind off of all the terrible things that I was thinking about in sort of my my deep inward spiral was looking at shelter dogs online. And so I found a picture of her of her looking very very sad. She's looking directly at the camera and just she looked really pitiful. And she looked a lot how I felt. And so I just felt immediate connection with her and she was at the local shelter and Colorado Springs, which is where I was living at the time. Humane society, the pikes peak region, and I ended up going down in adopting her that day. Well, we're so sorry to hear about your boyfriend. And you know, it it's tough world out there. And you know, every time you turn on the news. It's just getting tougher and tougher. It seems like with everything that's going on. And did did you feel that Andy kind of reached out to you? When you saw the dog on online. I said I just felt the immediate connection with her through her her picture because she looked exactly how I was feeling just sort of lost and alone, and you know, sort of desperate and pitiful. And when I went into meet her, she was all of those things, but she was also, you know, a puppy. She was only eight months old at the time. And and I immediately fell in love with her. And you know, I think like I said looking at animals, and I've always loved animals, but looking animals and looking at you know, dogs that were needing homes was really the main thing that that sort of got my mind off of all the terrible things that were going on in my own life. What would you say was the biggest lesson that you learned? Thing that I've learned the most from Andy is to find joy in the little things g you know, get so excited when we go out in the backyard and play that when we go for a walk around the neighborhood. And I think that we could all be better at that of just like finding joy into little things in everyday things that we do because like you said the world is a very hard place right now. And so finding about little piece of joy, I think it's so important, and I definitely learned that from her things to that. You said was to try to live in the moment. And I know some of my closest friends like, my friend, Ken, and all I mean, always telling me that try to live in the moment. Try to not live in what happened, you know, our ago or a day ago a month ago, or what you think might happen in the future. But for now is that true. That's true. Andy is really an example of that as well. She you know, she just wants to know what are we going to do right now? Or are we going to go out and play? Are you going to feed me or are we gonna go for a walk? And and I think yeah, exactly. Like, you said, I think we could all do that better. And not worry about the past not worry about what might happen in the future and just live for now. How long have you been living with anti no? Her two thousand and eleven so I guess it's been six years now how you doing doing? Okay. Absolutely. Actually, I have a boyfriend rated thank you we celebrated our to your anniversary, which is wonderful. He's been so supportive through this entire thing. Just because you know, I'm sure it's not easy for him to hear me talk about a previous relationship. But he just he's been so wonderful, and so supportive of me telling my story, and then we actually also about a year ago we adopted a second dog. So Andy has a little brother now, which is really fun for her. Yeah. Exactly. So she's got a little little brother to play with. He's a little one year old border collie. And they, you know, she's she's almost like a puppy again. They just play and romp in the backyard, and it's just wonderful. So I think she's really happy to that your boyfriend, you know, understands it kind of puts out that unconditional love from him that he cares about you so much that he's you know, his ears are opened to help you cope with what you've dealt with in the past. And you know, learn from it and Lou from it and grow. He was so supportive when I I was selected to date mutual rescue. He I asked him like are you? Okay. With me with me too. Mutual rescue is wonderful initiative that really is trying to change the conversation from people or animals to people and animals into really get across that. When you support your local animal shelter by donating or adopting animal. You're also helping the people in your community because you know, Andy, and I are perfect example of that of she really saved my life because I don't know if I could have gotten through this devastating experience without her. And so when you're supporting local shelters, you really are helping people to amazing with animals do for us. You know, my nineteen year old cat raining was she had a brother snowy snowy was a little difficult at times. But Rany was my Saint she was my I used to call her. My little diva helped me through so much in my life. It was amazing. And honestly, I wouldn't be here either. If it wasn't for her I believe and now after she's gone I've adopted two other kitties from the shelter. The pets. Bring so much joy into our lives. They really do. I think you know, they're non-judgmental. They are such a comforting presence there. So happy to see you when you get home of end of the day. And just they just, you know, like, they just at least for Andy she brought me out of myself. She made me realize there was still a life to be lived for me because she was there for me. But this was a guy that was big time, overweight, and he adopted this dog and he lost all the weight. And now he's a runner and he's doing phenomenal the films are amazing. "And you're listening to talk in pets. I want to introduce to the program right now, Jesse burns and Jesse is actually a mutual rescue film participant. And they did a film on her. Jesse in Andy Andy is dog. I wanna welcome to the program Jessie burns Jesse how you doing. Doing wonderful. It's great to have you on the show with this year of talk pets. I want to introduce you to Dr J. Hi, how are you? Hi. Lexi, our producer, high very familiar, of course with mutual rescue. Actually, I put in for them to do a film on me as well. And we'll see if that happens. But also, I'm familiar with Carol Novello. She is the founder of mutual rescue wonderful woman absolutely in how did they find you? And what can you tell the audience what your story was about? And I note if they go onto mutual rescue dot org, which is the website. They can actually see this film. And it's what it's about ten minutes long mines about six minutes long. And I actually found out about messed me to rescue because of air competing, which was the first film that they put together about amazing film. If you haven't seen it, it's incredible. But about a man who adopted a dog, and then ended up losing about one hundred forty pounds credits adopting this dog with saving his life. That's actually like ninety million hits. Went viral, which is pretty impressive pretty mazing. So I saw his film, and they were doing a call for stories, and I have a story about how my dog rescued my life. My boyfriend of several years ended up committing suicide a couple of years ago, and I dotted a dog, and she really pulled me through that. And I credit her with she's the main reason I am still living today. I think and so I decided to sit my submit my story, and they actually picked it, and and made my film. No Tober is national adopt a dog month and Dr J actually here in Tampa Bay. We produced a program Dr Jared works at humane society of Tampa Bay. And did you get Andy you found Andy online, but was from shelter or it was from shelter. So I just started after my boyfriend passed away kind of only thing that sort of could get my mind off of all the terrible things that I was thinking about and sort of my my inward spiral was looking at shelter dogs online. And so I found a picture of her of her looking very very sad. She's looking directly at the camera and just she looked really pitiful. And she looked a lot how I felt. And so I just felt this immediate connection with her and she was at the local shelter and Colorado Springs, which is where I was living at the time humane society that peak region, and I ended up going down in adopting her that day. Well, we're so sorry to hear about your boyfriend. And you know, it is it's a tough world out there. And you know, every time you turn on the news. It's just getting tougher and tougher. It seems like with everything that's going on. And did did you feel that Andy kind of reached out to you? When you saw the dog on online. She did like I said, I just felt that immediate connection with her through her picture because she looked exactly how I was feeling just sort of lost in alone, and you know, sort of desperate and pitiful. And when I went into meet her, she was all of those things, but she was also, you know, a puppy. She was only eight months old at the time. And and I just immediately fell in love with her. And you know, I think like I said looking at animals, and I've always loved animals, but looking at animals and looking at you know, dogs that were needing homes was really the main thing that that sort of got my mind off of all the terrible things that were going on in my own life. You know when you would at Indy. What would you say was the biggest lesson that you learned? So I think this thing that I've learned the most from Andy is to find joy in the little things she, you know, get so excited when we go out in the backyard and place that you're when we go for a walk around the neighborhood. And I think that we could all be better at that of just like finding joy in the little things in everyday things that we do because like you said the world is a very hard place right now. And so finding that little piece of joy, I think it's so important, and I definitely learned that from her. I know one of the things that you said was to try to live in the moment. And I know some of my closest friends like, my friend, Ken, and all I mean, always telling me that try to live in the moment. Try to not live in what happened, you know, our ago or day ago or a month ago, or what you think might happen in the future. But for now is that true. That's absolutely true. And Andy is really an example of that as well. She you know, she just wants to know what are we going to do right now? Are we going to go out and play are you gonna feed me? Or are we going to go? For a walk. And and I think yeah, exactly like you said, I think we could all do that better. And not worry about the past not worry about what might happen in the future and just live for now. How long have you been living with the end? You know, I adopted her in two thousand and eleven so I guess it's been six years now how you doing doing? Okay. Absolutely. Actually, I have a boyfriend. Rated. Thank you. We just celebrated our to your aniversary, which is wonderful. He's been so supportive through this entire thing. Just because you know, I'm sure it's not easy for him to hear me talk about a previous relationship. But he just he's been so wonderful, and so supportive of me telling my story, and then we actually also about a year ago we adopted a second dog. So Andy has a little brother now, which is really for her. Yes. Exactly. So she's got a little a little brother to play with. He's a little one year old border collie. And they, you know, she's she's almost like a puppy again. They just play and romp in the backyard, and it's just wonderful. So I think she's really happy to that your boyfriend, you know, understands it kind of puts out that unconditional love from him that he cares about you so much that he's you know, his ears are opened and to help you cope with what you dealt with in the past. And you know, and learn from it and Lou from it, and and grow, and he was so supportive when I first selected to Tippett's mutual rescue. He I asked him like are you okay? With me with me with, you know, telling my story, and he said absolutely this is your story. This is your life. Who you are. I want you to tell it. So he's just been amazing. Congratulations on that. You know, all this year. We're sorry to hear about you. You know, your previous boyfriend, but it's great to have Indian your life and great to have a companion for Andy as well. "By that front collar will decide if he'll by it. So or hole old. By seller hold Jared Goff. We'll have more passing yards than Tom Brady. Well, so far in the poll season Goth is averaging two hundred eighty seven yards passing and Brady's averaging two hundred eighty yards passing. And it should be noted of the Goth going up against that. Unbelievable. Dallas Cowboys defense. But also throw this in the Rams. As underdogs could likely be behind late in the game, forcing them to throw more so John Jared gobble have better total yardage numbers than Tom Brady by cellar hole. This will be the first Bella check Brady Super Bowl decided by more than one possession. Well, this is interesting because the Rams had half of their over half their games decided this year nine of the ram games decided by more than one possession and the patriots had twelve of their games this year decided by more than one possession. I am also predicting a high scoring football game. So John, I think I think the higher score isn't a game. The more chance it's an eight point game. I think we're gonna have turnovers I think we're going to have big plays. And I think what other whatever side wins. It's going to be by eight nine points by seller. Hold a quarterback will win Super Bowl MVP. Well, I mean, that's generally what we expect. Right. Here's something to consider. This is the most run Centric patriot team. I think maybe ever since Tom Brady's early years and since the loss of Cooper Cup. The Rams are much more run Centric. So you have very good running games. An excellent each could be the two best offensive lines right now in the two healthy atop ends of lines in football. In fact, this postseason the Rams and the patriot have the most rushing yards per game of any teams in the playoffs. They'd combined for twelve rushing touchdowns this postseason so John sell sell sell. I think running back more lightly than Goffin Brady is the MVP by cellar hole. Tom Brady will throw more interceptions than Jared Goff. All right. So let's let's state the facts I in the last four games Goth is thrown one pick Brady's four. All right. God. Off tends to be more comfortable throwing to the sidelines. Young quarterback away from traffic berating tends to be more comfortable throwing the ball in between the hash marks more congested. I also think the Rams will put more pressure on Brady. Then Trey flowers in the patriots front will put on Jared Goff. Also, if you look at each once favorite weapon, the Rams do a lot of bootleg action easier. Throws two tight ends and a Robert woods whose fast enough to separate. Whereas the primary targets for Tom Brady are grown who does not separate and Eshelman who catches everything. But does also not separate. So Tom throws into more congested areas. And will this Sunday with more pressure on him? So John guiding Brady throw pick. I don't think off. Well, my cellar hole Julian Edelman will be leading receiver again. Elements had a very good postseason. Do you realize that Julian Edelman leaves the National Football League in receiving yards? This postseason with two hundred forty seven first of all he's got deceiving speed. He's not a great separator. But he's pretty quick. He is as a slot guy. He's real quick. He gets open over the last twenty five years element has the most career receiving yards in postseason, isn't that remarkable? Is that remember in these big games and you have two weeks to prepare generally the star perimeter receiver is doubled. You don't spend all week worrying about flop receiver injury. And and Tom Brady are very comfortable together incredibly so whereas I do think if Bella check had a game plan, it would be to take Robert woods away from Jared Goff. So John I think Julian Edelman beard and all will be the leading receiver in this Super Bowl game. And last one by solar hold Colin. You will recognize at least three songs and maroon five's halftime show..

Gough is averaging two hundred eighty seven yards passing and Brady's averaging two hundred eighty yards passing. And it should be noted of the GOP going up against that. Unbelievable. Dallas Cowboys defense, but also throw this in the Rams as underdogs could likely be behind late in the game, forcing them to throw more. So John Jared Goff will have better total yardage numbers than Tom Brady by cellar hole. This will be the first Bella check Brady Super Bowl decided by more than one possession. Well, this is interesting because the Rams had half of their over half their games decided this year nine of the ram game decided by more than one possession. And the patriot twelve of their games this year decided. By more than one possession. I am also predicting high scoring football game. So John, I think I think the higher score is in the game. I think maybe ever since Tom Brady's early years and since the loss of Cooper cop. The Rams are much more run Centric. So you have very good running games and excellent. Each could be the two best offensive lines right now the two healthiest offensive lines in football. In fact, this post-season the Rams and the patriots have the most rushing yards per game. Any teams in the playoffs? They'd combined for twelve rushing touchdowns this postseason. So John sell sell sell. I think running back more likely than gob and Brady is the MVP by seller. Hold Tom Brady will throw more interceptions than Jared Goff. All right. So let's let's state the facts I in the last four games is thrown one pick Brady's four right Goth tends to be more comfortable throwing the sidelines. Young quarterback away from traffic berating tends to be more comfortable throwing the ball in between the hash marks more. Congestive. I also think the Rams will put more pressure on Brady then Trey flowers and the patriots front will put on Jared Goff. Also, if you look at each once favorite weapon, the Rams do a lot of bootleg action easier. Throws two tight ends and a Robert woods whose fast enough to separate. Whereas the primary targets for Tom Brady are gronk who does not separate an ethical man who catches everything but also not separate. So Tom throws. More congested areas and will this Sunday with more pressure on him. So John radio throw a pack. I don't think off well mysolar. Hold Julian Edelman will be the leading receiver again. Had a very good postseason. Do you realize that Julian Edelman leaves the National Football League in receiving yards? This postseason with two hundred forty seven. First of all he's got deceiving. Speed. He's not a great separator cut. He's pretty quick. He is as a slot guy. He's real quick. He gets open over the last twenty five years element has the most career receiving yards in postseason, isn't that remarkable? Is that remember in these big games and you have two weeks to prepare generally the star perimeter receiver is doubled. You don't spend all week worrying about slop receiver enjoying element and Tom Brady are very comfortable together incredibly so whereas I do think if ballot check had a game plan it will be to take Robert woods away from Jared Goff. So John I think Julian Edelman beard and all will be the leading receiver in this Super Bowl game. And last one by solar hold Colin. You will recognize at least three songs in maroon five's halftime show. All right. They have a song called sugar. Right. I'm gonna go. Sure. A lot of songs with the word love, and they have a song called payphone. That's all they have a song. Oh. God, I can't it's their biggest hit like Jagger. Okay. This love love. That's this. That's why you're here. This law. Face. People that know music, I was supposed to give you a hold on this. But I feel like you're it's actually a by at least three would you not acknowledge joy, this makes me more attractive as a male? Five songs. And then I've got a little twist to my not really I mean, I I do this was called guslan throw shade on on on. Maroon five. You don't like. The NFL canceled their press conference today. Why was that? Martin thing.

"So I think that's going to hurt them especially after what we just saw from the Rams offensive line and those two running backs. The fact back as C J Anderson likes to call himself. Does that you see that story out? It's great. He calls himself the fat back. So I do think that that's going to be the thing. Like, everyone thinks is going to be like shootout crazy scoring like the first time. Now, I think no controlling the line of scrimmage. It'd be kind of boring. I do completely agree with you on that. I mean, I think that the Rams would be silly to get away from their game plan of this last weekend against Dallas. And the one thing John. Jared Goff has his most success in play action. And so if you're able to run the football all the sudden those jet sweeps defensive lineman bite on that play action defensive lineman bite on I think that even in play action. That's where Jared Goff is going to do his business. But it starts with the run. You want to call Bryant Windhorst and see what he thinks about the. Yeah. Yeah. Greg you want to call Brian winters, so anti wind horse. No, never never again. Never. Down. I saw him Walker the hotel if you wanna just grab grab. I'm sure Mason. We'll go run right after him. He did yesterday. They said you really did. It was amazing. I was stunned because I was curious because Brian was just sitting there for at least a good. He was sitting there actually said I don't need to come in there. If they don't want me. But you know, what you know, what the thing was I had run out of things to say. Yeah. So you're like, hey, Brian. It'd be like today. John don't you run out of things to sell man Friday for sure. Yeah. All the time. But I mean, this isn't one of those days. I mean when you look at the Rams, and you look at the Lakers, George, what do you think of the Lakers laugh? They had a great win. I tweeted that out yesterday after the game. I thought the young guys played great. How about zoo butts minutes at this point? I know you guys I would start them. Yeah. I started and let the other two guys play last night. Mason broke this down earlier last night. He played twenty eight minutes and the other guys played substantially thanks to bail played nine. And and tiger L played. Tyson played eleven something six Tyson Chandler played sixteen jail. Played eight Forty-five Zubay, and George I told him we had him on today. And I told him the most impressive thing about his whole night the career high twenty six points in the twelve rebounds the fact that he went twelve of fourteen from the field, which is insane. Yeah. It was crazy. The most impressive thing about it. Was he did it against Stephen atom, who's great? Who's a really good center, by the way? I I don't know if we have the call of when Lonzo fouled Russell Westbrook. But I can't I can't expect you or happy about that. No. But a we thought they held up the referees held up number two. Right. So we thought it was two shots. Right. But what they're really saying was the foul is on number two Lonzo. And then we realized why is Luke Walton going ballistic. They're giving him three shots, and George the one thing. Maybe you know, I emailed the NBA today. I haven't heard back. Is that a review -able play? They're not they actually came out with their two minute report. And they're saying that the foul should have been on the floor that they got that part wrong. But that that that particular situation was not reviewable won't. Why isn't it? I mean, you shouldn't have to look at that. And say was he going into shooting motion or not? Hasn't that open? Just a whole bunch of. I mean, a judgment call is a judgment call. Right. But I assumed and maybe John you did too right? Like, everything under two minutes. I thought any kind of game changing type of play could have been reviewed there. I thought under two minutes at least, right? And and you know, what Luke told me was that the official said to him..
