"Very well trained. If i hear this call. I rushed to the window and check the top of the washing. Line the deck railing outside the kitchen window and the garage roof to see where the rookie is that. Usually on one of those three months we've made eye contact it. Flies to the railing in preparation for its treats. I can't say for sure that the roof deliberately makes this call to alert me to its presence. But it feels very much like him. We've had quite a few continuous days of rain. Wind in the south of england. And i noticed that my feet is were getting clogged up from damp. I go out to every morning to freshened the border baths and to check the feeders. And twice since i've been back i've had to dump all of the sunflower seed out and refill the feeder. I don't like throwing seed away when we've had such love of rain. It's difficult to stop the damn getting in and i don't want to feed see potentially historic going moldy so having cleaned sunflower seed. Feeders out i'm now. Only filling them parkway to show the gold finches and green finches have dry seed available whenever they visit. Do please keep an eye on your feet as to if you have them if the contents aren't being eaten there's a chance they've spoiled clean the feeders. Out with a mild disinfectant air. Dry them and then refill with fresh food. Also do make you always provide clean. Water fuel garden visited even as we move into into here in the northern hemisphere and keep an eye out for any birds showing signs of sickness for example difficulty swallowing looking puffed up sticky feathers the bill and lethargic demeanour these kanobi indications of disease which might spread to other birds. Unfortunately the star sometimes happen. And if you see the advice his to remove all feeders for at least two weeks to encourage the birds disperse it's also important to thoroughly. Clean and disinfect. Your feeders and clean away any dropped food. You can find out more from the british trust foreign policy links. Their advice on garden bird health. Ruin the show nights each morning. I conduct a bird watch of my garden. Birds and i regularly see how sparrow goldfinch robin donat magpie rook jackdaw polluted and with pigeon. I recently changed. One of my feeding stations and put coconut. Shell filled with street in an open. Mesh trae attached to my feet a station poll rather than hanging out by the as i'd had previously. I also drop a few peanuts in the tray and it's quite close to the shrub where the ducks house. Sparrows and robin hang out. They took to the new placement immediately and within a couple of hours. I'd seen all these species feeding at it and blue tit. Take him peanuts away. Yesterday i was delighted when four starlings dropped tin and fed from the sewage in the coconut and just now a hat to laugh as a squirrel had found the peanuts and the sitting eating them all while a magpie sat on the deck railing just a few inches away waiting for the school to eat and move on. I could see the mcpike. Getting impatient and fidgety with the squirrel but still deferring. I've mentioned before about the bed fair this year and about how will the talks and lectures. Look out for that episode in a few weeks time. Hit planned his norfolk trip to coincide with the not gatherings the tappan in the autumn these waiters gathering fast numbers and this year was particularly good one with over one hundred forty thousand not flying low overhead as they moved from their feeding grounds at the water's edge to every sting areas. He was also very fortunate that he's visit occurred the same time as the arrival of some rarities so he saw a roofer scrub robin red flanked blue tail and barred warbler to top it all off. He saw a male hen harrier as well. Amazing he was any norfolk for just about two days in contrast my top five for that week but seeing my roof friend again after i'd been away on my holidays a robin chasing blue tits and donna came out of the garden. "I saw yellow warbler indus cancer gardens in los angeles a year or so ago and as i had seen peaches previously when just glancing through the field guides to north america i was able to identify fairly easily but it was a good look because it was above my head against a bright sky. One day i hope to have a better view. The northern cardinal is another medium size bed but a striking one. the male's plumage is a stunning red with black mask. Around the bill the female is brown with red patches on the wings entail both have chunky bill and crest the found year round in eastern central united states and south into mexico and they will readily come to garden feeders which is why a lot of people know about the births well that and the fact that males are bright red. Northern cardinals were unusual in that both males and females sing the have a variety of calls including one that sounds like a laser from a sci fi. Show would've loved the opportunity to see this stunningly colored song and some of my trips across the atlantic but most of my vacations have been in nova scotia or more recently the los angeles area which is not in their range. I saw my first glimpse of northern cardinals in new york a couple of years ago but my best views were during our vacation baja california last year what a pair visited the garden avera airbnb that all seems such a long time ago now to find out more about these beds check the.

"Tasers plus i'm working came about ten years ago now i think it was wins and jato is still running goodyear to come i think she won the this stuff yeah and so i missed her agonizing defeat but yeah great to be back we mortar place kind of standing here thinking why do i live why do i live in the UK suv amen code and i i try to live here as much as i possibly can and you've been you've been stateside a ton the last several months skull and comparing notes as to how many days spent away from home this year i was beaten by you you will have someone nearly two hundred i think about one hundred twenty six months for me my very long suffering wife is just that if you need to pass assistant i'm happy to come along make the coffee whatever i'd say it's a pretty good gig you got going on out here on a day like today looking over the mountains perfect temperature top class horses cantering i you all is well with the world now and ideally from from here on in the next seventy two hours through saturday tonight get them all around safe and make this make this the the idyllic session that it should be the from from art lips god's ears as we say i wanted also to to the dubai experience right the last the last several years the the international i scott i mean lucky enough to where it we've got a royal ascot gina as well jeanine scott on the same royal ascot show now skull comes over and does a great job for fatigue as well then dubai and dubai together on on that show so yeah trips have been right i mean you can't get rid of me and to be honest with you our our our first encounter we always have we have this connection our first encounter which bad pinch is not here for this story because we're all together was the two thousand seven breeders cup at monmouth park it was my first big remote for HR TV it was was your first go second chauffeur ESPN yeah and it was lafitte lafitte was during the winter cycle presentations i show and we somehow not surprisingly found each other and managed to hang out more than a few times it was of course that week it was often oblique experience that we well saturday and sunday uh about friday and saturday but we're not talking about the weather though you're you guys were well the rain was what i call crying baby rain you think naturally has to stop but it never does danger this week that was is that was as frustrating a scenario as you'll ever going to have around racetrack it was gorgeous every single day that i got i got to meet scott hazelton think either third how i was blessed and we've not looked back since twelve years later here we are that was i i was there broadcasting for for me that was actually my first that was the first season of the show when i was alone was two thousand seven and broadcasting from from the from john heinz office that compound here and the show was four o'clock at that time four to seven so i was there all day and i basically ended up answering phones and helping people tickets and and really i was always met the days i that's one of my fondest memories let's get some let's get some thoughts and nick i always rely on you for international purposes however you've been covering all the lead ups so you know your opinions can go far beyond the the euro's but from an introductory stand point some of the horses this year that that are are kind of new and of course we had not a bayton switch but magical and up disappearing at the last minute and it was frustrating because she was ready to the sun aim she'd have been the marquee name as she'd been here given i welsh around last year and the season she's hiding she went on champions are champions weekend but she's not so on we go there isn't not substan- aim if you'd like to to hang the european challenge on but it scott some debt and there are plenty of hoses who legitimate i think probably the most interesting pair of horses is old persian and anthony van dyck see whether they can whether they can let down to bricks and mortar on the on the turf in the mile and a half race and whether they can expose any shortcomings in in bricks and mortar stamina i don't if you saw the clip on on twitter of me accosting chad yesterday it was a good natured exchange i said to my overcomplicating it he said you always complicate everything i think the the influence i was supposed to draw was that breaks it was just a good horse and i i think he'd be impervious to distance but i i think there's a dealer confidence in the ballydoyle camper van dyken can step up i think you'll have to step up a bit even though he's won a dobby and finish that in an irish champion stakes i think he needs another little step foot but they seem to think he's had the perfect preparation and he's by no means an afterthought they've had this race lined up for him since the summer and that always when we get to this juncture very often we've talked about horses that at the last set again they said oh let's go and and those horses invariably don't run well exactly so it's it's great that he's he ain't going great record in the race he's probably comparable to one one or two of his winners atn equivalent stage of their career he's he's legitimate and i can't seem finishing out of the out of the front path really i said to michelle when i was chatting to a yesterday on on the TV gee breakfast show and i'll say it again if old persian doesn't get any love from the batter's he's probably worth passing because on his full from your last year and his form for made on earlier this year a mile and a half on firm turf he's a he's a very good host but he does need to take a leap forward from the canadian run which was just okay even though he won the triple digit bar though did he not a one can rier you can run fast but just there wasn't much depth to the race fair enough for the work that i want to bring up to is a lou neck the ville de mar hicks runner because if desert encounter doesn't make that spectacular run at woodbine doesn't doesn't he show up here with a little bit of a little i'm chad i'm chairman of the desert encounter fan club only only a really ardent admirer of his exploits think he would have any kind of a show in anna breeders cup too so i think he's a show plan alaniz maybe he's honest horse who has proven that he's effective in north america but i think that's about us boulder cases i can make fair enough at an eugene you sort of perked up at the mention of his name all right yeah i actually agree with nick on the on the breeders cup turf but i just saw time christmas go past this morning on friday i think that's pretty amend as a bit of a lottery that race and they're coming down the hill and you want to get a good break and be drawn well and and get on with proceedings but the europeans quite well drawn in that race seems to be quite a few in with chances is one that's really so stamped his authority on the five furlongs sprint division at home it's a nice little horse his knee and actually when you see him go past he's not going to take the i really but i think he could be quite interesting and he's in a good spot there archie watson does really well with his juvenile he's bringing over a runner and band practice i think it's been joined in two so you'd expect him to had to be sharp and out and and another one with a with a chance but i think the juvenile houses some sometimes the race is that europeans can can occasionally pinch on the turf and there's a few interesting ones this year lucky though that with it being it's a different this year because this is only the second year of the juvenile turf sprint they had but they didn't it wasn't consecrated until she was able to race on the on the go a bit but having it around the band i think that the wesley horses have the advantage of their speed they out of the gate they get that position on the turn and then while you know it's it's game over it's not what you know the european i used to i think camario win if she breaks she's i know that's the that's the if i honestly think she's she couldn't it took a role of keeneland didn't that it took a rule of the stretch kaitlyn and then they're not gonna come back here i don't think we saw last year pledges hose just came out and blasted a multiple that was a different type of course it was it was i guess but i i don't know i think she wins if she breaks success good chances we'll drive drive yeah it's interesting they've taken a ali to wolverhampton to try and chain around the bend and get used to that because you know they you say they all going to encounter different different conditions today sir friday and they've only been running on the straight it's tough five gallons they've had to practice changing awesome getting out quickly and coming around a bend if you were there's there's one thing that unites ceos like a ali in the juvenile turf sprint and a host like anthony van dyke in turf is that this fixture has been on the top of their agenda since the summer so you're talking about hostess who are being specifically targeted at the breeders cup there's to die yet would be another one in the long race for fillies on the turf the to your own race on the tough and raja verion before she even one and finish second on an island in the moya he was saying i want to go to california with an east had some success with osa finishing placed in breeders cup races before they they have three hoses who have been typically targeted at this fixture right from the word go this year

"I also really appreciate everybody wondering where the where the podcast was icon disappeared. If you listen to the podcast on Friday. Kinda hinted that Monday was going to be kind of up in the air. I had no idea the Tuesday and Wednesday would be as well. So again, my apologies. Let's take a look at what you have to say here. Let's go to Mike. Lisa side-on, what constituted number one goaltender to you numbers or the eye test dismiss numbers or better than Murray's. But the eye test says Murray, thanks for coming back. We miss you. Listen Murray's the goaltender right? I mean, he's a starter. He's the Cup champion. He's had some issues as far as the concussions in the injuries and such. But they're a better team in Murray's in their Pittsburgh's play better since Murray came back. He's been unconscious since coming back from the upper body injury. I don't care. What stats say Murray is your number? One goaltender Ricky says do the islanders trade Abberley and or Nelson their unrestricted free agents after the season. What would be the return? I think they're definitely be return for both of these players, but the islanders much like the Columbus. Blue jackets have to wonder can we make the playoffs? And can we make a run in the playoffs? And I I think the islanders can make the playoffs. And I think there's value to them making the playoffs. Eleven their last eleven home games are all going to be. The Coliseum and if they make the playoffs to be at the Coliseum, which means they'll be playing in front of a full building. I think Lou he's he's a value guy. You know, if he thinks it's going to better the franchise by making the trade, he'll do it. But he usually does not do things at the expense of making the playoffs. And I and I think in his first year as GM I think he's gonna wanna make the playoffs. Now, if the return is something you can't ignore two different situation. But both of those guys can contribute to a run here on the second half of the season. And I think loo look at value in this team making the playoffs especially now that they've split time between Brooklyn and the Coliseum. An all those games being at the Coliseum in the playoffs. I think they definitely want to make it AJ says as trade season is coming up who can the devil ship off. And what kind of return should they look for? Well. Who do you deal? You know, you look at the veterans that are on the team. I mean is there a market for a boil is there a team that would want? You know, good fourth line player. That's got experience in the postseason. That's somebody. They can certainly part with. I don't think anybody's gonna watch Snyder. He's hurt he's expensive. So I'm not sure they can move him to the doubles have a lot of young players. I mean, we're where do you sit with with a Palmeri? I mean is he a part of your future? Can you get a hall for him? I'm not sure I can't imagine this twenty untouchables, but there's so many young players on the doubles. It's really hard to say, a how much value can they can get for anybody that they trade them be do you wanna trade any of these guys? If you think they're a part of their futures. It's a great question. And certainly something the ratio has to think about it and by giving John Heinz the extension, you have to feel like they feel overall even though they've taken a step backwards this year that overall the organization likes the direction they're going into which tells me midday like the players. It's just eight had injuries and hall, obviously be banged up and not being near the player that he was last year. Although there's still time for him to do that. But just trying to get guys healthy and playing well and growing, and I think they're stability there. I'm not sure rate in do anything last year. I'm just not sure who on their roster can get really that much of a haul back off to keep an eye on that. I just know that when you look at Boyle, he's been somebody that's been traded at the deadline before you know, we he ended up in in Toronto. If you remember a few years back at the trading line. So maybe there's a possibility as much as I like him and would love him to stay with the devils..

"And especially now, you gotta be a little bit concerned because you use your time out. Now, you can't challenge so that factors in especially early. You're talking about blown first period leads. So if you'd call a time out in the first period. Then you don't have the ability to challenge a little bit later on. Now you look back at hindsight being twenty twenty lost the game eight three and seven three respectively. Yeah. You should use the time out coach doesn't know that at the time. So some coaches believe in them, some coaches, do not believe in them. So I'd have to think back in the history of John Heinz is whether he's a timeout guy or not it's a feel thing and unfortunately, two completely different sentences situations, I'm not surprised they blew the to nothing lead against Tampa is one of the best teams link. I was surprised they blew it against Ottawa as I said, it's a feel thing and the coach has a better feel than pretty much anybody in the building. So I will side on the coach there, although it did not work considering the fact they got blown out in both games. So we've got a slew of games tonight to go over. We've got our top five tomorrow. So the way we do the top five if you knew the game conduct is it's not who played the best that given week though. It'd be silly. Because not every plays the same amount of games. But it's who I believe the. Top five teams at that particular moment sold the rest of the season factors into certainly how you played recently factors in as well. So I'll give you the top five tomorrow. I'll be live from Detroit. I'm looking forward to that Little Caesars arena. Get ready for the Rangers and the Red Wings. So I'll be doing game is conduct from the road tomorrow from Detroit. So have my top five or go over all the games on Thursday is also pretty decent games on Friday as well, including the devil's trying to bounce back in Toronto against the Maple Leafs. As they go on a trip that will also take him the Winnipeg coming up on Sunday. So we'll go over all the games will have the top five. You want to send me your top five ahead of time at down the Greco hashtag gay misconduct. That's always the way that you can get in touch with me. We'll talk to you again tomorrow. This was the Thursday.

"Speed when you so so dean is a really talented player from in my view he's a guy that's gonna score goals in this league and it'll be interesting to see how it plays out for him in detroit detroit to rebuilding team and you know they have a lot of players that remind me you know over the years of him like you know thomas ktar is you know in a similar type of player in some ways you know you know gustav nyquist is a similar type player in some ways so i'll be curious to see how was being separate themselves but he's a really talented kid and you know i have no doubt who's gonna play in this league for a long time and be success title aj ass with carlson and taveras off the board for new jersey who they target in free agency or since it's somewhat lacking should they stay the course in play more of the kids well i think that you know ray sure has a plan there and he's proved pretty adept so far when you think about the things that he's been able to do you know he was able to turn out a morrison detail of all then turn taylor hall into a better version of taylor hall so you gotta give you know ray and john heinz a lot of credit for that i think you know they're grafting developing younger guys i don't think there i don't think there's shy about maybe getting into the marketplace i thought they might be a player for john carlson didn't play out that way for them i think there's a couple of other defensemen that they're looking at i think there's a couple of you know ripe shot defenseman that might be available in the market someone like branded mon tour from the anaheim ducks for example might be that gets out there you know tyson barrie might be somebody that that gets out there i mean there's there's gonna be some movement over the next several weeks here beyond just free agency they were gonna be trade and it's gonna be as i said earlier it's just gonna depend upon how things shake out with the most situations but i'm sure that ray is monitoring those situations and you know if he feels as i always you know all these guys they feel they can do something to help their teams they will but i think he's going to continue the idea of drafting and developing continuing to meet with the young guys they have a new organizations stick with the devils here david wants to know our thoughts on thai smith he said he watched him in spokane he thinks he needs to work more preventing pucks from getting past him on the blue line but he's a very skilled in great presence on the power play yeah i mean i i didn't really see thais miss so it's hard for me to come comment i could only go off what what other people have said about him but they said he's got really good vision he sees the ice well he went in the window where you would expect him to go and so i don't think it was a you know a real necessarily reach all by the devils but you know that's the position that you you know helped you win you know you can never have enough good defenseman it's we talked about it before it's an age of of speed and skill in this league and someone that can see the ice and distribute the puck is really valuable so you know overtime we'll see if this was a wise of the devils or not but you know pretty clearly they liked the fact that this kids can read the game well and they feel he can come in and help them at some point on the blue line and you know the other thing is that defense no matter if they play for you or not defensive senators have a certain value or around the league so you know that's another thing that you can't underestimate when you pick these guys is that you know if it goes to work out for your team you might be able to use that as an asset to get someone else i mean go back to the honors you know trading griffin reinhart who has turned out.

"A went goal which meant you must have come from the vice president all this stuff is coming out it's being implied and it's really complicated the reason why we as an audience are able to digest all of that is because in the first thirty seconds of the episode we get the letter of resignation from the vice president well what i thought was interesting about that is they don't if you get you might get from that scene that the vice president is having an affair with baldwin or you might not the story works either way but to me it's so unusual for this show to have used insert shots you know it just very very rarely told stories that way would usually be you know richard and brad in a room it would be done like a play where you can't use those kinds of quick visual pops and the only reason i think it does is because it's so complicated and seeing those call sheets and seeing those scribblings at least gives you a chance to catch up and i think you barely get that chance sons also gives them the opportunity to keep it wordless which is just allegedly seen and the direction by john david coles i think he's spot on her nice thing about the insert shots to and the sometimes happens in moments like this on the west wing all the names of all the other calls that aren't helen baldwin and john heinz are people who work on the west wing lynch sindelar who mentioned already that prop master and previous guests on our show lynn paolo is the costume designer and ellen tote laban who is the set decorator they're all names on that call list if you stop you have watched the show way too many times.

"Meyer especially jared bednarz in the same situation right the two worst teams by conference the avalanche in the devils by points are in the playoffs this year and a lot of that has to do with coaching and being around john heinz as much as i have you know listening to him talk we we interviewed him last week as well like he just i feel like he is really good on the fly he knows how to motivate his players and i think a lot of of the devils players would point to john heinz and the way that he coaches and getting the players to buy in as one of the big reasons this team made the playoffs so you have to value that so is he a top five coach in my opinion absolutely tough threes top three is a tough one especially with galant then and then you can go ten beep with the coaches and the jobs that have been done this year there's so many good ones i even you know we were talking about winnipeg paul maurice i thought that's a guy that might next him and kevin chevrolet off the general manager survive they got contract extensions and they responded by getting those contracts and doing a great job david says what's the story behind the jets tradition of the white out also i know the original jets now coyotes did the white out during the two thousand twelve conference final ron and heard people say that it should only be a winnipeg tradition do you agree it did carry over to arizona for twenty twelve they picked it back up in winnipeg arte i really don't know why it did get started in winnipeg do you i'm actually looking it up on google right now don i.

"Do you think he will receive discipline from the league it looks like he made contact with the head there was no call on the ice that doesn't necessarily matter i don't know what carry a situation was he went to the quiet room i don't remember if he came back so we'll see they do take into consideration if there is a concussion or an injury but boy it did look like he targeted the head what did you think yeah from the angles that i saw on the broadcast and that's all i saw it looked like it the contact was made to the head first and if that's the case then yes there should be a review in there should be a hearing and there should be disciplined because that was a headshot based on what we saw in the broadcast and carry a had been antagonizing doughty the whole game but he was he was used physically pushing a along the boards doing a good job of of pudding dowdy on tilt which may have led to that hit in the first place jarrett's says wise john heinz not in the jack adams convoy in addition to the teams turnaround he seems to always have intermission adjustments up his sleeve sometimes i suppose myself with the amount of faith i haven't him when we are down i'm lucky enough art it's actually vote for the jack adams trophy the broadcasters get a chance to do that so george gallons the guy i mean everybody's gonna overdraw galant and rightly so i didn't have him in my top three and i wanted to get your thoughts on that number two i had bruce cassidy i think the job he did in boston with spectacular the bruins were not on anybody's radar they ended up being the best team or one of the best teams in the eastern conference and had injuries galore and still marched forward and i jarred bednarz i think that you know the turnaround from last year those are my three candidates would you have had john heinz over any of the three that i mentioned that it's pretty tough i mean i'd put him top five for sure i mean i.

"Plows and he was a huge part of that and a guy that i would think has a real good chance to win the hart trophy as multi player to his team because i don't think any more valuable players than taylor hall just everything he's accomplished this season but i just i like the way he went about it i really do and didn't you know you hear different things when he comes over from an organization and jen where they didn't have a lot of success while he was there a lot of different cultures had to take it's toll and him in different messages but ratio john heinz told him exactly what they expect from him and he certainly delivered with spades and the other big stories we talked to ken danika for a machine television and the nhl network is the doubles embark on the plans for the first time since twenty twelve has been the story story brian boyle and i got a chance to cover him when he was with the rangers he is such a good guy such down to earth guy gets diagnosed with cancer his son has a cancer scare i have to think kenny that even though he's new to the team he must have had just an amazing impact and how much did his story impact the rest of that room a lot of good storylines to the regular season from the devils i play birth that you mentioned since two thousand twelve but brian boils was as big as anyone certainly what he's battled through the versity certainly being diagnosed with cancer early on before the season even started to just show the character he has drive in it just the guys respect bride so much in that dressing room and that's leadership and brian boyle is one of those guys you mentioned you cover them in new york and i got the normal little bit when he was the lightning and talk to and when they added him you know you don't know the impact you can have the but i just knew the guy that is a true pro trump still rank every day those xactly what it takes to be a winners played in a lot.

"Sure i mean it's going to be given to gerard galant done settled over and you look at the standings and other coaches that deserve i usually can kind of go ten deep with coach of the year and i think i've mentioned to you guys before the broadcasters get to vote for the jack adams trophy for coach of the year so i do have a vote and i don't think anybody is going to be surprised when i say gerard galant is going to be my vote for coach of the year what he's doing there is absolutely phenomenal but would buchner's doing in florida if florida can make it with bednarz doing in colorado if colorado can make it also it'd be candid but you're right one of the really under the radar stories has been new jersey why because it's the devils and they've never been really a flamboyant franchise and and now the lose gone maybe they get a little bit more promotion out of it but you get skewered by you know playing in the same market as the rangers in the islanders and so much sports going on but this was not supposed to be a playoff team this year for the devils with taylor hall has been doing has been tremendous i think with all the young kids with each year contributing scored a goal again last night there's so many great stories the story is yet not finished because they still have to be able to make the playoffs with a one statement that they have made is to statements really number one is that there are pretty good team for the future so even if for some reason they missed here as disappointing as that would be for devil fans it really sets them up for the future and john heinz zohreh legitimate coach there's been a franchise that has always had the coaching position be very transient they won three stanley cups with three different head coach.

"You really pay attention to look at the last ten games of the season and how they're playing going into the playoffs that's going to really be a great indicator now vegas isn't at ten games left mark but if you've looked lately they've kind of settled themselves down just a bit and to get to lose eight three to new jersey and certainly the devils you know back to back wins against first place teams to start the six game road trip excellent job out of the devils but you can't allow eight goals and flurry gets pulled after giving up four look like legacy at a done a good job in the second period when vegas made it a four to game but then the dam burst is the devil score the first four goals of the third period in a laugher eight three the final score as far as new jersey's concern as i mentioned great star to this road trip get a couple of days while before they have an afternoon game against the kings on saturday and then a game against the ducks on sundays that continue this this swing but a major statement i think made by john heinz to have concaine start the game against vegas he had the great game against nashville held them in that game did give up the goal late but withstood an onslaught and overtime wins in the shootout and he rewarded them by playing against vegas and vegas did a forty two shots on goal so he did make thirty nine saves and the one golda gave up with thirty seconds left to play of the three so maybe misstatements be made two of the biggest wins of the year for the devils have come against nashville in vegas and keith can kate has been the goaltender in both of those games so cory snyder might be in a little bit of trouble here because they're going to ride the hot hand i would assume against los angeles on saturday and then cory schneider i guess we'd get the start against the ducks because of the.

"Your it's interesting um uh just on that point he died tragically and then in at a hill an eye after the interesting thing is what i ended up getting elected to his house seat because he was a house member and then i took his seat in the senate after he died not immediately but subsequently to that uh he was a kind of your quintessential sort of moderate pennsylvania modern public and am i mean and there was a whole there were the there were a slew of those guys and in it and most of them from the northeast up road west upper midwest could he could heintz have been elected in the republican party of today could have been nominated in the republican party of the rubble bleed not a although i mean you look at someone for example like a tom ridge and tom ridge probably fit the mold of john heinz former governor got dads that was your ideas and and and and governors races are a little bit different less irish this little less ideological look at a guy like rick snyder in michigan not really an ideologue now man now they're eright i mean the governors are more of a manager as a most s post to a vote now where that that rallies people but now i would say that's probably true of republicans in the north and democrats in the south and then the other is that up until the 1980s the parties were yes they were ideological democratic party was was was a liberal party but it was tempered i mean it was tempered by a whole bunch of democrats who were in the party who weren't liberals and so and murderers was true the party was constrained in the same was true with republicans republicans you know certainly became a much more conservative party uh but they were constrained also by the fact that you add you know a third of the united states senate were moderate republicans you know with it was so tell me if you think that that was a good or bad i mean we're in a situation now where there.
