One of the greatest things about their most reserve is all the different opportunities. Training in the Air Force reserve in a second tonight gave me the opportunity to go to college. Your country's air actually paid for my education, which allowed me to condition It was definitely about that. Probably six or anything I've done is support, humanitarian relief operations and places like Haiti reserve gave me the opportunity to learn something totally different than what I did mean able to travel. Enjoy the getaways that I get, and I enjoy the camaraderie and fellowship I share with all life unit mates, really close knit where unique on their first reserve gave me all those opportunities and then even more Start your adventure on Air Force Reserve. Vegas numbers complete coverage of the Corona virus at kxnt. Com slash coronavirus. All right. We're back. Sam Rojansky CM nation on Newstalk am 8 40 Kxnt. And yes, I am. Nevada's favorite recovering California. Nevadans, listen up to me. This is important. You got to realize some I'm gonna get to explaining, Of course, the legal challenges and give you a little bit of legal insight to that the segment but I, but I listen, this is important. All of these California Democrats that air coming into Nevada. This is not good. You know, California Democrats are not Nevada Democrats. Lot of you that I know that are my friends and neighbors that are Democrats here in the state. You know you you still kind of believe in the Second Amendment. California weirdos that they don't And you know they they also kind of believe in creating a completely hostile environment for any business except for some giant Tech monopoly. From succeeding. Of course, we are a state that is very much reliant on our small businesses. Uh and, uh And in fact, in all businesses of all sizes, obviously. So I'm you know, little side note on this. I'm I'm noticing a lot of goalie among Democrats in Nevada sing. Our numbers are getting boosted by these Californians coming in. This is great. Be careful. You're not going. You're not gonna like your state in a while. Some of us came here because we liked that you were not California. All right now, let's explain this this legal business. The issue in all of these cases. Our goal is going to it's going to come down to The the election. How in each state what? The intent right what the law was in the intent was by the state Legislature. Because the power to pick Took to run the election and pick a president in every state is the power is the Constitution gives that power to state legislators. Not the state secretary of state. Not the state attorney general. Not the state governor. So the Legislature And so the issue will be in each of these challenges is what was the rules set up? What was the law? Established by the state legislature. And then the subsequent question was was that followed? And then I think a second component of this is are there any equal protection due process violations? In the way that the rule was set up, right? Was there was there. Hi. You know again, For example, the The big thing is going to be counting ballots after Election day or counting ballots received. I should say after election day, and the reason for this is It's the federal government. The Constitution sets the date of the election. And the date Was Tuesday. It wasn't Friday. It wasn't the following Tuesday. It wasn't the following Friday. It was Tuesday. And that's the election day. And so what? You what you heard? I think the other day was that the Supreme Court ordered that all ballots being received in Pennsylvania after Election day be segregated. Because there it signals they want to take a close hard look at this. So the election it's true mate may not be over, although I just again these but these votes are all being managed. By a bunch of people. Who have convinced themselves or been convinced by the media that Trump is the second coming of Hiller. And when you convince People of something like that. They will do anything they will they will commit crimes. In an effort to stop Hitler from becoming president, right? I mean, this is this kind of how the thinking goes. S o. I I'm I don't. I'm not holding out a lot of hope. The other part of the problem is you need the right legal team and I started talking about this. Ah, few minutes back. You know Rudy John Giuliani is not it. I want to see a really solid legal team be put together. With some nonpartisan, incredible litigators. And people who are you know who have gravitas and experience appearing before the Supreme Court. And I, you know, can we say Michael Cohen? I mean, Trump has a long history of hiring kind of these people that that talk talk nice and they, I guess they there, you know? Ideologically sound in the moment, but they they're not particularly effective. It is a lawyer. I'm telling. I don't see Giuliani being particularly effective right now. And the other thing. I really hope that they are investigating these claims because you cannot go into the Supreme Court. I don't care how many justices you have. That you think are on your side that Amy Cockney Barrett is going to vote based on the facts and the law. That's why we like her..

"That. But do you know how many ballots might be for the president? How many ballots might be irregular? Hey had no idea, he said. We've got to get to see the ballots before we can. Determine that, hey insists that there may be enough that they're involved here in these cases to overturn the results in Pennsylvania again, Wei don't know we'll have to find out if he goes to court and gets access to those ballots and then gets a chance to look at them at the RNC Just a little while ago Republican National Committee set out another fundraising email for the election Defense fund. So clearly, this is something that from the White House perspective from the Republican perspective is far from over. Despite what the calls for the election may be, despite the fact that Joe Biden Kamala Harris are coming out tonight to make what clearly will be. A victory speech. The Trump campaign, the White House and the president, not in a mood to even begin to entertain, conceding this election again. The next day, there's going to be a lot of small deadlines is would go along here, sort of a canvass of the votes in the county level certification to the votes in the county in the state level, and then the electors meeting. On December the 14th. There's a lot of time between now and then. The Trump campaign believes it could make a case to overturn the results. I mean, obviously, the two states that they'd be looking at will be Georgia and Pennsylvania. But the president would need one more state as well. They still think that they can win Arizona, but Joe Biden remains in the lead there. Brett Martha. Likely, John. I mean, it's important to point out that while we have seen violations of transparency we have not seen A widespread fraud yet any evidence of widespread fraud? We continue to look into allegations as they pop up and we continue did not find that we're not going to stop digging and following up on leads and following up on indicators the projection Is the projection of the path to 2 70 that we say, and other networks say that Joe Biden has reached him will be the president elect that does not prevent these legal battles from going forward again. We haven't seen The evidence in anything yet that changes any of those decisions in the states. The filing shot down in Nevada, but this is a process that needs to be worked through allegation By allegation, John Giuliani told me that he had a witness. I believe that they might have a witness there A TTE, the press conference that he gave in Philadelphia. I'm also being told of a witness in another state. That may come forward with some information that could be Jermaine Teo, the president's case but in terms of looking at ballots that were allegedly backdated or or or they They had mismatched signatures..

"Hey, John Giuliani. All right. Let's talk about Nolly, Pennsylvania, but Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona, possibly now. I mean, there's others that are, you know, being challenged in Georgia and Arizona last night you saw Biden. You know, we had initially looked at Fulton County, Georgia, the Atlanta area There is being one of the things that they had busted pipes issues that we weren't going to be counted until Friday. Will they busted their hump last night? And between 5 P.m. and midnight got a bunch of votes, and now those votes cut down President Trump's margin of leadership by about 18,000 votes right now, as it stands, President Trump's got 18,500 votes in the lead in Georgia. What we're understanding is about between four and five per cent of votes that still need to be counted in Fulton County more of the outlying areas of the suburbs there. And then the court. What we're hearing somewhere between 10 to 14% of the vote around Savannah, Georgia also needs to be counted. Those were two highly blue areas, so we're going to see what happens in those votes that are being counted at this point On the other side of that coin President Trump Cut down 13,000 votes in a lead for Joe Biden in Arizona. So now Biden leaders somewhere around 68,000 those 13,000 that came in America, Maricopa County for President Trump those that percentage was what he was looking for for the overall state. Challenges. He got this coming out of Maricopa County, which is where Phoenix is the most populated portion of Arizona. There's only about 5% of the vote left there to be counted. So it's unclear whether or not that could be any movement. If he keeps that percentage, that'd be good, but still may not be enough to overtake Joe Biden. As far as the state of Arizona goes so on DH what we're hearing from Maricopa County, they will not give any new information until Later tonight on some level Georgia we don't know we're still waiting on. But the one that's also been the one we're waiting on is Nevada because they have been on hold the little were literally what radio silent for 24 hours. Counting votes. They're going to have an announcement expected by noontime Eastern today, making an announcement on where their vote tally stands at this point, and we won't know if we have absolutely no idea right now. Joe Biden's in the lead by about 7000 votes votes there. But depending on what this vote tallies that could completely flip that could extend his lead. It could bring them much closer. We just don't know. And the big question is going to be how many more votes do they have? Because they're like North Carolina, where they can take votes up till November, 10th for days for votes that had been postmarked as of November 3rd. So they have to go up until that time frame. How many more votes did they think that's gonna be? That's gonna be a big question to have answered It's going to be tougher putt for President Trump now to grab all these things that he needs in the electoral votes, But Biden only six needed to get to that magic number of 2 70. Michael. Thank you so much for the update their well. Mitch McConnell says another economic stimulus package should be passed before the end of the year. "Iron. Liz I'm the CO founder and CEO of strong the M which is a company that both manages and audits access to infrastructure servers. Databases gubernatorial clusters. All the things. So I started where most brilliant people start which has ad tech. I joined the company or my first job. Out of college was actually at the company that invented remarketing or retargeting and the guy who founded that company actually was one of the founders of icq which was the precursor to instant messaging. And so I worked for them for four years and then after a while they were doing remarketing on the web and I thought well. Why don't we do this? A mobile and like html five was very very new iphone. Just become a thing says back in two thousand eight and so. I started coding. Part time with one of my old CO workers and we came up with a new product and then we quit and started a company together. I drove out from Chicago to Boston. I slept on his floor for a month on an air mattress. We raise some money. Raised a seed round risen. Backed by a gray craftsman. I know via ended up selling the company. Well I guess. We didn't have product market fit. If we couldn't sell it. Did we work for the acquire for a year and then decided with my co founders today to start strong and so that's how I ended up here. The last company did Cross device consumer profiles. So we knew who you were on any device in which you interacted with a brand. Let's say you were shopping. At urban outfitters for example. And then we're able to show you messaging adds a based upon your relationship with that brand so were you in market. Were you looking for a pair of socks to go with that new sweater and then we could tell you exactly who bought whether online or in a store so we track digital ad through to an instore purchase for me it was. I can do better all right like an opening. Why not do something here better or why? Not Take and apply to why in the case of the first company it was. The thing is working really really well on computers. Why not apply to mobile which is a fresh burgeoning space after getting your starting at Tech Elizabeth co-founded media armor across device targeting company and later strong. The M A product to manage and audit database access. Let's hear Elizabeth explain what strong the M does and the problem it solves for companies so the company that acquired my last company actually had a data breach there was a Mongo database. That was leaking information. It's leaning on its default port and a hacker got in and let out one hundred million Mac addresses which are considered Pi and the FTC. Got Wind of it and to consent decrees later. The company was out of business and so we thought if a company's business was big data was having problems securing that infrastructure whether it was securing the access the infrastructure itself even knowing what was happening on it then everybody had the problem. We knew that other companies had the problem because we experienced ourselves. There was no solution out there. So you think about infrastructure. Today the cloud has changed everything twenty years ago even ten years ago you had a sequel server box or an oracle box right and you had one directory provider like active directory sitting on top of the box and the boxes in the. Colo down the street from you and then cloud hit so now you have lots of infrastructure sitting in lots of different places cloud and on Prem and then you have all of these different teams marketing team need access to data using tableau or looker. It's not just developers have all these teams and the teams are distributed. Like so many people work remotely these days and so all of a sudden what used to be a really neat problem which is only a very small set of people had access this one thing because this explosion of credentials and so strong of collapsing that into one place to manage the access and then audit to all infrastructure. And so everybody has that problem. Unless you're you know even giant enterprises I mean these guys all have a cloud solution. They've grown up through thirty. Forty years of emanate and they have infrastructure that they don't even know exists quite frankly let alone like who has access to it so we offer free. Poc's you have two weeks to try it for free. At the end of the two week time period that is more than enough time irrespective of the size of the organization to get a gateway up to connect to database to connect to server in connect intend to test the functionality of the product. So if you want to go today fifteen we're always gonNA ask you for a credit card. You're going to pay the minimum amount each month and you can cancel at any time. But I need to know that you're investing dollar for dollar next to me from an effort perspective and I learned that lesson actually way back at the company that gave me. My first job is a guy named John. Giuliani who is the head of Tomi and there are effectively two ways to price an attack when you're buying display advertising through as you might see pm which is a cost per thousand impressions so for. Every thousand impressions that are served. You'RE GONNA pay two bucks or through bucks and then you can pay on a performance basis. So that could be a rupture on a conversion on a Click. Something like that and he always advocated for. Cpi deals every single time. Because even though we made more money on the rupture on the CPI you got your money. After the fact only after the result happened and so it meant that they weren't invested and investing next two dollar for dollar for every single ad that you were putting in front of people. He was willing to cede revenue in order to go and capture that commitment to what you were doing from an advertising perspective with the advent of the cloud and the growing popularity of remote Work Elizabeth and her co-founders companies and especially heads of IT infrastructure. Or devops teams. Needed an easy way to manage and secure database access Elizabeth Opinion. How can product leaders and product teams design with security in mind? I can say that we talked to a whole bunch of companies and hear about their products and other built and how they deal with access than I can say that one thing that I've found to be a rule. Is that if you design your product thinking about security and with security in mind. How do we lockdown seagrass? How do we manage access? How do we develop putting these processes into place when you're super early on is critical and we'll save you a whole bunch of time downstream? So I dare you to go and find any high growth startup. That is our customer of course and to say. Tell me exactly who accessed production. Db Yesterday and what queries did they run? Ninety nine percent of them aren't going to be able to tell you because they grew up with A. I'm just going to give people access to everything and we're going to deal with it later on and we're GonNa fix it later on so as you see. Companies Start to go public. They need to grow up and a lot of the BANDAIDS that they punt on over the years. Now become major year long initiatives in order to overhaul and organization. You'll see it as they go through compliance type regimes and so I would urge people within product teams technology teams that as designing to think about the things that might affect them in four years and bake that into the plan today when building products or designing solutions Higgs security processes and access considerations into account early on as the CO founder. She's worn many hats. What does your day to day look like now? It changes everyday well here at strong Yelm. Everybody is a member of the support team and this week and next week as it so happens we are down support team member and so I am East Coast support at strong and so from eight until eleven. I run the support team. So that's this week. The company is at a different. We're in strong two point. Oh so we have an amazing product that people love the people want? That fits all shapes and sizes. And we're now in growth mode. We're in crazy hyper growth mode and so the only thing right now how do I win? It's hiring it's getting people to go and homeys scale I. So I spend seventy five percent of my day interviewing something like that. We are distributed. We Are Remote. Pick the now that you like. I like saying work wherever you want. We don't care to show up for work. Everything happens on zoom all the time you tell people in your desk you tell people you come back for coffee. You're schedules posted publicly all the time. It's clear what you're working hours are so it's clear that I'm east. Coast and other people are Pacific Time. We try not to bicker on slack like pick up the phone. Call somebody. If you're fighting I think the biggest shift for us was that we decided from the beginning and this might be out of oak but our engineers do programming and so the engineering team is constantly talking to each other. It's exhausting but they're such a tight knit group and it lends for a higher quality of code and faster development. Because you're queuing live there on zoom coding together so view and I were pair programming. I would be coating talking out loud as I talk through my Press you'd be watching my screen and Tang lizzy Mr Semi Colon. Or why are you thinking about it that way? We considered this approach..

"Well we will begin tonight with the breaking news articles of impeachment and we will later get to the Justice Department. Inspector General's report released today which did find political leanings among the FBI officials involved in the investigation of the Russian attack on our presidential election. But the Inspector General's report says that the political opinions of F. B. I.. Officials else did not affect any FBI officials judgment about the investigation including including the judgment of the FBI special official agent who revealed to the Inspector General under oath that he was thrilled but Donald Trump won the presidency because he thought Hillary Rick Clinton was a criminal. The Inspector General's report also found a stunning connection between Christopher Steele. And someone he used to call a friend and vodka trump the breaking news. The night is that specific articles of impeachment might be announced by House leadership tomorrow morning. The chairs of the four house. Awesome pitchman inquiry. Committees had a meeting with Speaker. Nancy Pelosi tonight in her office and when the House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman. Eliot Engel left that meeting. He said there will being announcement tomorrow. Morning on impeachment with the relevant committee chairs asked if this announcement would be about articles of impeachment Chairman Angle said. Yeah everything everything in today's impeachment. Hearing in the House Judiciary Committee House Intelligence Committee counsel Daniel Goldman presented the intelligence committees case against Donald Trump. And in making that case Daniel Goldman made a factual statement that every Republican in the room today and every Republican in the House and the Senate has refused fused to admit president trump got caught by early September. The president's scheme was unraveling on September ninth. The intelligence oversight and Foreign Affairs Committees announced an investigation into president trump and Mr John Giuliani's efforts in Ukraine. And later that same day the Intelligence Committee learned that a whistle blower had filed a complaint nearly a month earlier related to some unknown issue but which the president and the White House new related to Ukraine had been circulating among them for some time and then two days later on September eleventh in the face of growing public and congressional scrutiny. President trump lifted the hold on security assistance to crane as with the implementation of the hold. No reason was provided but simply president trump got caught so he released the president trump got caught so oh he released the aid every Democrat making the case against the president should say that every time not one republican admits That president trump got caught every republican pretends that Donald trump out of the goodness of his heart decided to release the aid. That's how every Republican tells the story the Republicans do do not rebut the specific evidence against Donald Trump in their defensive. Donald Trump. That's what they would have to do in a courtroom to win not guilty for Donald Trump and a courtroom the Republicans. I would have to take on every piece of incriminating evidence and at minimum create. A reasonable doubt about that evidence. No Republican has attempted to do that with the evidence against Donald Trump. Whatever Republican does is ignore? Evidence is impossible for a Republican to tell the story of Donald Trump's dealings with Ukraine rain without ignoring the most incriminating evidence. Beginning with what the White House transcript. The president's phone call to the president of Ukraine actually says here is the full Republican Defense of Donald Trump in thirty four seconds and it can be recited in thirty four seconds because of all of the important incriminating evidence that the Defensive Donald Trump ignores to transcript is complete inaccurate shows is no quid pro quo no conditionality. That's number one number two. There was no pressure Bozo. Linski and trump has said that repeatedly President Alinsky said that it United the United Nations on September twenty fifth said Subsequent News Articles on October sixth in October tenth and December first number three Ukrainians Alinsky did not know about the pause innate. At the very least at the time of the call and number four no investigations were announced. I was released number one. There is evidence in the phone call. The president did make investigating. Joe Biden a condition for receiving military. Ed there is is much more evidence of that from other witnesses including ambassador Gordon solid who spoke to president trump about it and ambassador William Taylor number two there is clear evidence. The presence Alinsky Skin Ukrainian government officials felt tremendous pressure to publicly announced investigation of Joe Biden and his son. Gordon son testified repeatedly to putting that pressure on presence Kalinski and President Presence Alinsky staff himself for president trump's personal benefit number three. There is very clear evidence that presence Alinsky and Ukrainian officials knew that there was a hold on the military aid at the time presence. Alinsky was on the phone. With president trump number four presence alinsky planned to announce announced an investigation of Joe Biden in an interview on CNN which was cancelled only after the military aid was released and the military aid it was released only after president. Trump got caught. We want to go straight to our important guests tonight for more in the breaking news about articles of impeachment that the the House of Representatives could be revealing articles of impeachment tomorrow morning against President Trump. We're joined now by two members of House. Representatives who are in the verge of casting the most historic votes votes of their careers of vote on the impeachment of the President Democratic Congressman David Selenium Rhode Island is a member of the House Judiciary Committee and was in today's hearing and Democratic Congressman Mike Quigley of Villain Oi he's a member of the House Intelligence Committee and Carson Swinney. What can you tell us about what's going to happen tomorrow morning? Well Lawrence we finish the hearing today today. We heard in detail. The conclusions of the Intelligence Committee investigation where the president clearly put his own personal and political interest ahead of the national interest and attempted to persuade foreign leader to interfere in an American presidential election and leverage taxpayer funds. That have been appropriate bread Congress to accomplish that objective we also heard in in detail about the presence effort to prevent the investigation of this misconduct. And it really strikes at the very heart of our democracy of the right of people able to decide their own future to select their own political leaders. We were here all weekend. We have been engaged in robust discussions. About what the specific articles should look like. We met today after the hearing as a committee to go over the evidence again that we heard. We're GONNA meet again first thing in the morning and continue our work until we have articles of impeachment impeachment ready for consideration by the full committee. Curzon Quigley NBC. News is reporting tonight that they have five sources telling them that there will be probably who articles of impeachment abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. The intended to bring those two articles but the sources are cautioning us. Yes that that could change that. This isn't absolutely locked in at this point. Is that your understanding of where where it stands tonight. Look I can make that case. The president's averted. US foreign policy toward Ukraine undermined our national security for personal political gain..

insane instead they've decided they're gonna cut campaign commercials for president trump pretty astonishing stuff get to that in just a moment we begin this hour with the latest entries written Kerr towards your target name makes sense I'm not taking this thing super seriously at this point that is because I'm not and I'm start taking this thing super seriously when the Democrats start providing more evidence that the president has committed an impeachable offense and I'm sorry but our phone call in which the president sort of blasters about about various corruption issues with Ukraine without a clear quid pro quo that's not gonna be good enough we're gonna need to hear from the president of the United States with help military aid from Ukraine with the specific purpose not of quashing corruption even in his own bizarre fashion but really I'm getting Joe Biden right that is gonna be the impeachable offense if it's not there it's not there it's just from being from its front election which is a little bit suspicious meanwhile president trump is very angry at a fox news poll the poll shows that a majority of Americans fifty one percent say that they that the Americans are in favor of impeachment that does not mean impeachment and removal that prompted president trump to tweet from the day I announced I was running for president I've never had a good fox news poll about all of that now the big controversy of the day is that a couple other associates a ready John Giuliani had been arrested now this is because originally ani has been hanging around in Ukraine for several years his business interests in Ukraine while he's out there investigating suppose in Ukrainian corruption with regard to the bidens among other things with regard to breeze Mar ritually ani obviously believes a very rude level but he's on covering the corruption of the by then there are certainly open questions about hunter Biden who's completely unqualified to be on the board of the major willing gas company being on the board of an oil and gas company like two weeks after Joe Biden takes over the portfolio for Ukraine it's a very weird thing for sure Giuliani is relying heavily but allegations by then by eight by two former Ukrainian prosecutors and the real clear investigation has come up with his notes on what these former Ukrainian prosperous was saying the notes were published by Ukrainian news sites their offense is he was confirmed by Giuliani contacted by text message Giuliani told real clear investigations that the notes were prepared by George boiled a retired NYPD detective he declined to say anything further about them according to real clear investigations the notes evidently from interviews Giuliani conduct in July in January are likely to figure in any trump impeachment proceedings but I've not been publicly released in the United States so what exactly do they say apparently they memorialized two conversations one on January twenty third when Giuliani spoke by phone with the former general prosecutor of Ukraine Victor Shokan the other some two days later when Shokan successor then general prosecutor Yuri Lysenko meant Giuliani in New York in addition to show can slam that president Poroshenko who was then the president of Ukraine warned him not to investigate breeze my because it was not in the bidens interests you know it's also say that the prosecutor also said that he was warned to stop by then US ambassador to Ukraine Jeffrey pia so if that's the case then that means that the Obama administration would have been pushing the US ambassador to Ukraine not to allow an investigation into Joe Biden which would look incredibly suspicious and exactly like kind of impeachable offence Democrats are trying to attribute to trump the state department declined to explain this assertion about P. at whose ambassadors Ukraine from twenty thirteen to twenty sixteen is now ambassador to Greece the Biden presidential campaign has not responded to requests for comment the notes said a choking was cool called into Mister portion goes office and told that the investigation into Marie's my and managing director were hunter Biden is on the board as because Joe Biden told of one billion dollars in US aid to Ukraine right that's the allegation about biting the bite was personally holding up age you crane until a prosecutor was ousted who's investigating the company where his son was on the board Chanchal later told choking the quote he had to be fired as an aid to the Ukraine was being held by Joe Biden that's been trump's claim all along so a political investigation twenty seventeen found that officials in portion because government were also helping Hillary Clinton allies research damaging information from an adviser so how much of that is reliable the stuff the Victor Shokan is saying that would Sanko is saying absolutely unclear absolutely unclear Giuliani obviously believes that if you believe that the Obama administration was in fact pressuring the Ukrainian government not to investigate hunter Biden's company that looks pretty terrible not just for buying but for general corruption issues in the US government and that's worthy of investigation obviously Giuliani pretty obviously believes that now maybe it's poorly base maybe those guys a wine because they have an interest in appearing to be power players with something to say meanwhile the Iranian president now one missile as he addressed the topic investigations he apparently is now saying that he's going to investigate Ukraine's alleged meddling in the twenty sixteen US election he apparently the Washington post says that so once he is announcing that the government is quite ready to investigate you range alleged meddling in US elections that was a part of Eastern Europe corresponding Christopher Miller in a series of tweets so once he also addressed his new Attorney General he said this is a new young team will have a new Attorney General and open honest person a hundred percent this is my man I said I meant as a person from my team and I from the old attorney general's so once he said I don't want to interfere anyway in the US elections I will be doing like your own president don't interfere in the future elections of an independent Ukraine with due respect to the United States we're not serving the latter's purpose for independent country we don't lose our relations with which to strengthen them inset instead he also announced he did not know that the US and even held up the military aid in the so called quid pro quo trump immediately tweeted out the president of Ukraine just stated again in the strongest language and president from apply no pressure and did absolutely nothing wrong he's the strongest language possible it should and the Democrats skin but it won't be the dems in media are fixed a cell this does help trump in some ways I mean obviously if Giuliani and team believes it's something worthy of investigation is going on in their pressuring Ukraine to investigate that is no different from the senators among Democrats pressuring Ukraine to investigate Paul man a fort for example meanwhile this has all been juxtaposed with two Giuliani associates who have now been arrested and this is where you start getting a dicey territory was Giuliani believing stuff that was false because it was convenient to it was he believing stuff that just wasn't true because Ukraine has been sort of a wild west of political relations for several years with a lot of different people on both sides of the aisle involved in relations in trying to make money there from home and afford to John to Tony pastor John passes brother well now a couple of associates of Rudy Giuliani had been arrested media trying to turn this into guiliani is guilty of something has his associates were arrested at doesn't seem to be the case when they arrested frankly bye bye the trump "More Muller questions for President Trump will President Trump's lawyer Rudy Guiliani is telling CNN that the special counsel may have more questions follow up questions to Trump's written answers. Now Giuliani saying the teams willing to answer them if they believe they're relevant. It's always in the F Guiliani warning Trump will fight questions on potential obstruction of Justice. Now, he tells axios, quote, I don't think he Miller has any way to compel testimony on obstruction because the argument of executive privilege would be very very strong out front. Now, former assistant US attorney for the southern district of New York. Harry Sandik and former Nixon White House counsel John dean, so the the crucial questions here tonight. Let's start with with with Rudy Giuliani saying, okay, if you come back and the questions are about obstruction of Justice forget about it executive privilege is going to protect us as he right? I don't think he necessarily is correct. Executive privilege is a very vague really has little legal standing the supreme court did recognize it in US versus Nixon when he was forced to turn over his tapes. If anything that case would call for the president to respond and answer any subpoena. So so, Harry, there's the issue of executive privilege and now there's. Look, according to what they told us Trump submitted his written answers yesterday. That's that's what we have been told. So what do you make of Juliani already saying Muller may have follow ups Vincent barrel? I mean, they barely there. I think he's anticipating, and it makes sense that you know, when you answer questions in writing there are inevitably going to be more ambiguities and more need for follow up than when you have an interview. And if a question in face to face interview is answered in a way, that's ambiguous. You can just say I'm sorry. I don't understand that position. Right. Exactly. Okay. So that might happen. I mean, John Giuliani said to the point about the questions that he has molars questions were like a law school exam. He said they were complex, and they were a lot of subset questions. I don't know if that's their attempt at to try to dissipate a follow up our way, but we do know about there were questions about what Trump knew about Don juniors meeting with the Russians at Trump Tower. Right. That infamous one that they had originally said was about adoption, but of course, was intended to be anything, but the president's own comments about. Dirt on Hillary Clinton following the meeting at Trump Tower and his comments asking Russia to find Clinton's missing emails. Right. That all of these were questions, if this is exhaustive does it mean there is no smoking gun, John. And I asked that in the sense of we already know about all these events. So unless there's something that no one's even leaking or discussing the all the events on the table are already known. I suspect the special counsel has even more detail than we've seen reported publicly that he knows much more about the answers these questions, and these appear to me to be more of a courtesy to the president to let him answer in his own words, what his response to the various questions might be or his take on the various situations. You know, I it's almost what he could complete the investigation without it. But it would look like it was unfair. If he didn't at least get what the president had on his take on each of these issues. Whether it was like a law school exam or not I can't answer it. But a long time since I've been a law school, so Harry, look president does seize every opportunity to unprompted say he didn't collude with Russia. Right. This week. He he did it here two times. And just the past make Harry is. The written answers the witch. That's been going on forever. No collusion. No, nothing. They've been finished. There was no collusion whatsoever. And the whole thing is a scam dog. So it was no. Oh, come. Okay. Obviously he's obsessed with that is Muller going to definitively answer that crucial question is. That's the question that that that if you can definitively answer you're going to get a broad swath of the American public behind that conclusion as opposed to obstruction of Justice would seem much more political. I think that's right. One of two things is going to happen..

"It's a food lover's market. As we're reminded almost daily. And at times even hourly President Trump is a creature of Twitter. Now, the New York Times is reporting that some of his tweets are being reviewed by special counsel, Robert Muller as part of his probe into possible obstruction of Justice, tweets, like this one about fired FBI director. James Comey, for instance, quote, as it turns out, James Comey lied and leaked and protected Hillary Clinton. He was the best thing that ever happened to her or this one about his attorney. General attorney general Jeff Sessions has taken a very weak position on Hillary Clinton crimes where our emails and DNC server and Intel leakers back now it's Gloria borger, John dean and Jeffrey Toobin. Gyp the reporting from the New York Times the Muller is looking at the president's tweets. How big a deal is that? Well, it's a very big deal because the issue with any sort of white collar crime is criminal intent. Was there criminal intent? How do you determine whether this criminal intent, the voice of the would-be defendent the words of the defendant. Now, what's so bizarre is that in Watergate we had, we had to wait until the White House tapes corroborated which on dean said, what went on in the Oval Office. But here you have the president himself essentially confessing to obstruct Watergate tapes, and, and you know that it so the fact that they are looking at this is simply what responsible prosecutors would do. I'm John never before in the history of the presidency. Have we had a real time look into what the president's thinking is. That's exactly right. The tweet, the tweets are very unique source. I happen to take a look after the announcement about looking at the tweets came out at the Bill of impeachment, and I noticed that article one the obstruction article for Nixon really draws heavily on his public statements and not so much his private state or the tapes they used the tape actually, after they'd written the report to say this just kind of confirms what we already had figured out. Now, in fairness to the president here, their argument is will how can it be criminal intent? If he's just broadcasting it to the world, how can he think he's doing something wrong? If he is actually just telling everyone in a tweet that you know, you can just be a brazen criminal. That's the response. But I mean, that is a legitimate point that the his defenders. The president's team is, is dismissing this arguing that the president is within his rights defend himself. He's in social media, right? I mean, look, they're they're saying that he can use his social media. Rudy Giuliani is making the case that Jeffries talking about which is if he's if he's. Tried to obstruct Justice. Why would he do it in plain view? But you can. You can look at some of these tweets and you could say, well, this is this is kind of witness, tampering, and I went back and I looked at at the forty plus questions that that team Muller gave to Trump's attorneys months ago saying, you know, these are some of the things we'd be interested in and one of them was, for example, what was the purpose of your may twelfth 2017 tweet that was the tweet in which he said to Komi, you better hope. There are no tapes, so they're already interested in tapes. And then he said, what was the purpose of your September and October statements, including tweets regarding James Komi and what was the purpose of your July twenty seventeen tweet regarding Mr. sessions. So it's very clear that if they're gonna make an obstruction argument, we don't know that they will that they'd have to piece together. It's tough, you're you guys are the lawyers, it's tough, but they'd have to piece together some kind of mosaic. Nick that went to Trump's intent, which is what they want to ask him about. If they ever get to sit down for an interview and remember to this is not a conventional criminal case under department of Justice policy, Muller cannot charge the president with the crime. So if this is going to be a further investigation, it's going to be a impeachment investigation. And that's as much a political enterprises. It is legal as a legal one. John Giuliani told the times that if you're going to obstruct Justice, you do quietly secretly not in public, which if you look at Nixon and Clinton, I mean they were accused of doing it privately as we know this is a president who does a.

"Is this how we practice law in the united states now we just have lawyers for different client like michael ovens and rigidly you're just going to go on every single show possible and just argue the case in front of everyone else of yes john giuliani's actual quote was yeah my issue is getting up to speed on the facts here i'm about halfway living on a prayer think of the yeah i like the travel you know think of my brain is half full of information oh so basically over the admitted that there may have been other women paid to be silent about the affairs they had with trump that was one little nugget he also said that trump may defy subpoena from special counsel bob muller to testify in that trump may ultimately choose to exert fifth amendment rights which protects people from giving testimony that may incriminate them what's the strategy here guys i know he said there's not much of a strategy but what is rudy's method to his madness here i think that there's a meta trump big picture strategy which is he knows he did the crimes he knows that he's guilty of maybe a series of things whether it's collusion whether it's money laundering whether god knows potentially probably thinks he's guilty of things that he doesn't even know about it i'm sure he'll something wrong therefore what he's trying to do in all his public messaging they stepped it up with rudy coming on board is just make this a political fight and try to undercut the credibility of the muller investigation undercut the credibility of whatever was referred to as the ny in terms of michael the investigation now it's a michael cohen in new york he just wants to attack all of it and continue to sort of build this in tippety towards the the fbi towards komi towards muller to everyone involved so that if congress has called on to make a political judgment i e impeachment they will side with the president be as their base wants them to do so yeah i think two things i think one their socializing everyone to a bunch of outlandish previously histoy.

"Of tacking this ship determinate one hundred eighty degrees away from pass statements and and they're going to have to do more of this and it could be even more painful to watch you know john jonathan speaking of painful how painful was it to watch ready john giuliani a man that used to be extraordinary lawyer of of course extraordinary us attorney but to watch rudy giuliani bumbling around last night on tv and saying hey i've got a secret for you acting like there's this big revelation and then saying it wasn't campaign money well of course we all knew it wasn't campaign money the problem was that wasn't campaign money it wasn't reported that's an n kind contribution and what rudy giuliani is saying actually proved a point that prosecutors would want to make that this was done outside of the campaign don hide the payment a week and a half before the presidential campaign due to accrue to the benefit of donald trump's campaign giuliani just stepped right into it there and i'm baffled that a guy that was in public office for as long as he was and was a lawyer for his lungs you was didn't realize that he was undercutting his own client i have to agree i mean we were all watching that and there were about a million lawyers who faces were actually frozen and shock by what we were seeing because this this would not be a viable defense and i think that what giuliani was trying to do is say that they can't be campaign finance violations it's not money coming from the campaign which is you abeille pointed out doesn't really track but then he was saying well the president new of the details in the sense that he knew michael would handle it and was really struck me as being the most worrisome element is this is exactly what some of us.
