"Or I guess the fact that Dana White, the UFC, what are we easy? The founder, president, what do we call it? The CEO of UFC, Dana White, uncorked during UFC two 78 this weekend. On the Gronk cast version of the event. And Gronk brought this up that Dana White brokered a deal for Brady and Gronk to go when Brady was in his walkabout. Two Las Vegas in play for the Raiders and John Gruden squelched it. This is the exchange that lit up Twitter and UFC Fight Night on Saturday night. It's still there. You would have been. You would have been. So I would have been. I am the one I worked to put that deal together for Brady and Gronk to come to the Raiders. And it was almost a done deal. And at the last minute, Gruden blew the deal up and said that he didn't want him. And wow. All hell broke loose, man. It was crazy. And Brady was already looking at houses and it wasn't being said yet that Gronk was coming. So Las Vegas would have had Brady and Gronk the year that the bucks won the Super Bowl. Except Gruden blew the deal up. And there's so much story that goes along with this behind the scenes. And I was never going to tell that story till rock just said it, but yeah. And Dana? Let me tell you what happened and you just told the story.

"Will say that the seat heaters has been one of the great inventions of the automobile industry in the last decade or so. So. I mean, there you go. We could have gone that way, but I think the hot butts portion of the show is sponsored by angels in the outfield on VHS. Jeff's raiders well now we're into the lightning is round and we are starting with the chiefs who I mean, they just smash the Raiders in this one and even though this has been a very lopsided quote unquote rivalry, they played fairly close games recently, but this was a 48 to 9 chiefs win. And I guess the big story is, I don't know, there was emblem stomping, stepping, dancing. I'm not quite sure what that was that the Raiders were doing before the game, then after the game, the chiefs did the they played wheels on the bus on the pillowcase as the Raiders were leaving because the Raiders, if you don't in the backstory, the Raiders when they upset the cheese last year, did victory lapse in their bus around arrowhead stadium to celebrate. So yeah, just a lot of pettiness here. And that's delightful. That was one of the best few people I think can operate with such savagery as the stadium DJ because I doubt that that person falls under the purview of the public relations department. If you're the stadium DJ, you're probably a bit of a wild card, right? Like I've never met. I've never met a stadium DJ. I don't know what a stadium DJ. Their day to today responsibilities are like or how much they think about things going in, but to have the wheels on the bus, queued up. I mean, the only thing that would have been more perfect. And obviously, this is a different world. You know, John Gruden got let go before this moment. But to have John Gruden like scowling like that, you know, walking off the field when it was playing. But we didn't get that. We didn't get the truly perfect moment there. But we got something very close. Because now the Raiders are like plucky. Now they're fun, you know? And so it's almost like, oh, that was kind of mean. 'cause they're not jerks anymore. You know what I mean? Like, all the jerks are gone. So it's a hard situation. That was a classic Connor reaction. I mean, it wasn't interesting game, though, because the very first play of the game, the chief defense comes up with a big play. Continuing the unexpected turn that the defense would be the team lifting up the chiefs over the last few weeks of the season. The offense also performed well, but the defense really was the spark that let the fire today..

"Entrepreneurial and quite honestly wealthy people here in Idaho. Where does your money go? I don't understand. I want a full forensic audit of the Idaho state budget. I mean, this needs to be done like yesterday. No seriously. I don't get it. I am just so confused by this. I totally unrelated. I'm sorry. So action items. Yet, know your school board city council all this, but let's talk about a couple things that people can do. That are a little more. It might sound generic, but every person can do this. Every person tonight needs to make a pledge and a promise in front of the lord. You're going to be the same person in public that you are in private. Now this might not sound like a big deal. There are people here tonight that can be comfortable here at this event, but not at their workplace. Not with their family members. Not with their friends, no more of that. You need to be the same person in every single environment that you are. No more pretending, no more camouflage. No more putting on the special uniform and being something that you're not. This is a big deal. The second thing I can't stand the term cancel culture. It drives me insane. But there is a culture where we try to eliminate people because they participate in thought crimes. So if anyone in your life is scheduled for cancellation for something that's deemed politically incorrect, don't put up with it. Intervenes, stand by that person, especially people in public life. Now, if I'll give you a great example with this and I joke around with this, we did this last night as well, which I'm not a big John Gruden fan, okay, but the fact that John Gruden's emails are under more scrutiny than Hunter Biden's emails is a massive injustice and it disgrace to our entire country, right? So John Gruden gets fired because he had transphobic comments, don't even get me started. I could go into great detail about this. So I'm not saying that you guys need new football coach. Maybe you think boys and state needs to do football coach. Why doesn't why doesn't a conservative state just go higher John Gruden as their new football coach? Now that's symbolically would be a massive blow to the regime that no, you don't get to go back in a ten year old emails and just call for some of the moral police of a guy that's loved by his black teammates and loved by even the gay teammates and be like, no, we're going to destroy your life. What that does is it weakens the ability to go fire of someone right here that works at Albertsons and Michael wear Trump had to work and you might get fired because of that. Now I'm not saying that would happen, right? That might be an example because it's a conservative family. But whatever it might be like, a local business of what it might be. The only power they have is the power we give them. And we give them the power of being okay to terminate our fellow countrymen because they participated in thought crimes. If I had every single person here's emails and text messages dating back for ten years, a lot of people would be losing their jobs. And we need to be honest about that, right? And so I think it's super important. The last thing is this. What can we do? Boy, in Idaho, you're blessed. You're only a state of 1.751 .8 million people, right? You can make a huge difference in your state government really quickly. When the legislatures in session, everybody, there needs to be viewing galleries as big as this event is right now. Every single day the legislature is in session. You need to be like, here's the thing. And again, I know the legislation is not in session right now. Confront them when they're going when they're going to the grocery store. Ask them questions. It's time for a citizen government to take this back. And if you don't like your representatives, recall them, find new ones. And so, yeah, I guess the final thing I'll say is this. Of what you can do. I know a lot of people here tonight. This is not your home church. Challenge your pastor and challenge your church to do what we talked about at the beginning of our speech. It's a really important thing. And then the last thing I'll tell you this is an unusual thing is learn. Every day dedicate at least an hour to turn off your phone and learn more about your nation, the founding documents and the beautiful gift that we have been given as citizens. And so this is so important. And learn more about how the Bible touches every parts of.

"For a SmackDown Three government chiefs from Mark Levin It might seem crazy You can take a break Oh yeah Everybody You know the words Nice and loud All right John Gruden something I wanted to talk about here Has done something that's very smart in my opinion And this is from blaze media dot com the blaze dot com Which has a great news site by the way They're not just say that because I'm involved They have a great news site The blaze dot com John Gruden sues NFL and commissioner Roger Goodell for allegedly leaking his emails to destroy him by Carlos Garcia Because I believe that's exactly what happened They had over 600,000 emails and they obviously leaked some in order to try and destroy Gruden As Gruden is not part of you know their little social circle John Gruden final lawsuit against the National Football League in its commissioner Roger Goodell For allegedly leaking his emails in order to destroy his career Gruden resigned as the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders in October after facing criticism over controversial statements he made him personal emails that were leaked to the media And by the way if gruen had been a radical leftist and made statements about other people he'd be promoted Like joy Reed or he'd be a regular guess Like med Michael Eric Dyson or cape heart And so forth and so on Let me continue They complain alleges that the defendant selectively Lake Gruden's private correspondent to The Wall Street Journal New York Times In order to harm Gruden's reputation and force him out of his job read a statement from Adam Hosmer Henry an attorney representing Gruden There's no explanation or justification why Gruden's emails were the only ones made public out of 650,000 emails collected in the NFL's investigation of the Washington football team or for why the emails were held for months before being released in the middle of the Raiders season And of course they're right A spokesperson for the NFL denied the claims of the loss of the allegations are entirely meritless and the NFL will vigorously defend against these claims Said Brian McCarthy to CNN so what You can vigorously defend all you want You're going to have to respond to all kinds of document search email texts And if I were Gruden's lawyers I'd really focus on that commissioner and get as many of his emails as possible There may even be a team involved here The Washington team I don't know Goon alleges in a lawsuit that the actions of the NFL led to severe financial damages and harm to his career and reputation And it argues that only a few emails were selectively leaked from the investigation to the Washington football team So the leak could have come from them too Well time will tell At a 650,000 emails obtained months earlier in connection with the investigation to workplace misconduct by the Washington football team Defendants weaponized a small subset that were authored by Gruden prior is hiring by the Raiders where the lawsuit defendants and purposefully leveraged these emails to the termination of Gruden's coaching contract endorsements and sponsorships He'd been one of the highest paid coaches in the league A $100 million contract over ten years The writers had a three and two win loss before Gruden's departure They notched two victories on what doesn't matter That's a smart lawsuit It's a good lawsuit I got a couple of those in mind too right on the shelf mister producer And look I'm sure a lot of people don't put in emails the sort of thing that Gruden did and so forth But I'm sure they put a lot of nasty things in emails And if Goodall's emails could be made public or Liz Cheney's emails could be made public Our Nancy Pelosi's emails could be made public One could only imagine what's in those emails or how about their texts Again one can only imagine what's in their texts Because people say the damnedest things They don't think they're going to have to face discovery or leaks or anything like that especially when they work on the hill As opposed to the executive branch Nobody ever demands papers and so forth from Members of Congress unless there's a criminal investigation right Well Benny watts his ass and Liz Cheney they're not conducting a criminal investigation And yet they think they were right to everything Which I think is not correct and I just hope there's enough serious judges who still have integrity who understand That when you go after an ex-president's records you're damaging the executive branch while Joe Biden He's in a position to decide that says the Obama judge Joe Biden's not in a decision to decide whether they use a toilet paper or bat towel So I don't want to hear about that But that's not determinative what a Democrat president a Democrat committee a Democrat house and a Democrat judge that's not determinative because obviously they want to destroy Trump as fast as they can Almost as the never trumpers Almost as much as the never trumpers In my opinion So Gruden has done a very smart thing bringing this kind of lawsuit you get a lot of discovery A lot of discovery I'm about to trigger one I mean I'm ready I'm getting very very close And not just defamation I hope they also have in their charges and I haven't seen thee The lawsuit I hope they also have in there one that I talk about all the time which is tortious interference with his business with his contract.

"And four today's episode is a conversation with a good friend of mine, Dan, Casey. It's funny. I feel like every time I have a guest on the show, I say, one of my favorite people in the football world and I mean, it's never a lie. It is true. I love Joe rozelle. I love Lauren Owen and I love myself some Dan Casey. Jen Casey is awesome. Our conversation today, it started really as a reaction to I wanted to have as a jumping off point talk about Jon Gruden, urban Meyer. What happens when a coach loses trust in the locker room and from that point on, we went off on a we had a great conversation about all kinds of stuff building confidence with your players and man. He referenced John wood in the former UCLA basketball coach. All kinds of really great stuff. And man, I just without further ado enjoy my conversation with coach, Dan, Casey. Joining me now is Dan Casey friend of the show, one of my favorite humans talking about football. First of all, Dan, how are you? Welcome in. I'm doing great, man. It's good to be with you. I know you're down there in Hawaii and I'm in Texas. So we found some time. Yeah, I did it's awesome. It's weird, you're in central time. And that's the only time zone my brain can't figure out. West Coast three hours. East coast three more hours, 6 hours from here, and then I'm like central. Oh, crap, what's that? No idea what's going on. Some folks call it God's time. So, yeah. Fair enough. I wanted to bring you on because the urban Meyer stuff, the John Gruden stuff, got my mind going. And I don't want to talk about cheating on wives or sending inappropriate emails. We're not the morality police, but I want to talk about the impact that can have on a locker room. And there's definitely a conversation to be had here. I actually thought it was interesting that John Gruden just stepped down and said, you know, I'm just gonna be a distraction. That was interesting to me. I'm curious..

"Well, in my opinion, this is what came out in the NFL with the John Gruden thing. John Gruden is proof that they all know it, and they're all comfortable with it. Because the fact that he sent an email, when you send an email, someone's on the other side of it. That means people received it and they were fine with it. And that's what proves, you know, the collusion that keeps Colin Kaepernick out of the league, which now he's aged out, but still, I'll tell you a big one. Eric B enemy. You familiar with Eric the enemy? It sounds so familiar. So Eric B enemy was a running back. I think I want to say in the 90s. Okay. Listen to this. He's the offensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs. He created the offense that has taken the chiefs to the Super Bowl twice. And no one's offered him a head coaching job. That never happened. If you're the coordinator on a Super Bowl team, you get a head coaching job. It's almost automatic, right? Yeah. Nothing, nothing. Think about that. Two super bowls and no one has offered him a head coaching job. And they say, no, there's no collusion. There's no. It's like, really? Really? So you're the Jacksonville Jaguars and you'd rather have urban Meyer and old washed up college coach than the guy who is engineered the offense that built Patrick Mahomes that Patrick, really? You're telling me there's no collusion when he can't get a head coaching job? No, the Gruden thing proved, they all know about it. And what's funny now is they said that they have what 650,000 emails..

"Everything Jack and appearances are a he'll be there. So we go to this local pub and then we get out of there like three o'clock. We just finished this natural high. We're all having a good time. Ties with us, Wayne. Anson Carter was there. Liam had to go 'cause he was fucking gas from carrying that whole shift. And talk, of course, and three 15 in the morning. We'll walk out of the pub and four or 5 guys hop out of their cars. They're there with the stuff to sign. And we talk about seekers. There's a difference between a kid getting an autograph to keep his eyes. They're seekers there to get you to the signature and go put it on eBay and make money. And he could tell he gets the natural frustration, but he's always so kind enough to sign. He goes, he does say, I'm only signing one and don't keep doing this, but he does it every time because he's such a kind hearted guy and he knows that he's you know it's such a hard position for him to be in. And I almost feel bad for the guy that he always fucking has to be the nice guy. So Wayne is everything is advertised folks, the best guy in the world, even to the Sikhs. Yeah, I would lose my patients with those people. It's not kids like you said this. It's grown men like trying to make money to buy fucking Pokémon cards, whether the fuck they waste their money on. You mentioned Jay used to play magic cards. First college golf tourney. Would you say he rolled up in a Bentley? Yeah, he did. And then he stepped on a beehive during the day. The first round, I think he shot 82. There was a clip him just firing a dart in there. And then the second round, he stepped on a beehive, one of the early holes I think, and he had to have like the medical person from these college tournaments show up, and he grinded through it. I actually won time not to make this about myself. I was playing old sandwich. I was on the 13th hole long par 5. I hit it down near the green and two, but I pushed this long I hit three where I pushed through it. So I'm going like 25 yards to the right of the green. And it's all this brush. I was over there with my caddy, Andrew bell, great kid. And we're walking around looking for the ball. All of a sudden, I'm like, oh, and he screams out. Dude, I had stepped on a big hornet's nest. I got stung 20 times. He got stung like 23 all over our heads, our hands. It was insane. So I actually carry around an EpiPen now 'cause I'm like, maybe I'm allergic because of how bad that was. I finished the round. I part 1415 1617, 18. I was swollen up like bug or like a beach. That was your flu game man. Buddy, it was like saying, I ended up winning money. I couldn't even feel my hands that night I was eating benadryl. I had my wife count all the bee sting spots all around my head 'cause they were just swollen in areas, crazy experience. So I was still coming from. I'm glad I'm glad you made it about yourself. That was an incredible story. You're allergic, you probably would have died then. I don't spend that much, you know? I know what you would choose death or burning 1415 16, 17 and 18. Straight shot. That's a nice guy, obviously. Come on. Lisa going if I could have birdied the last 5 instead of just paring them all with those bee stings. I would have given up golf for a month. Which is basically death for wick. What a pod, this has been so fun, boys. I had so much fun. The seasons back, fellas. Well, absolutely. A couple more notes. Oh, yeah, Crosby to the avalanche just over my ticker here. Monday Night Football last week they were supposed to do a segment or an interview with Sidney Crosby and it got bumped because of the John Gruden fire and they had a talk about it right away apparently so they couldn't do the Sydney Crosby thing. But this Gruden stuff, man, the fucking NFL can't get out of its own weight sometimes this was obviously orchestrated by Goodell or whatever. They had this investigation on the Washington team. 600,000 emails and they get John Gruden talking stupid stupidly about people, but so how do the people he wrote to reply? Nobody admonished him fart, like nobody yelled back at him. I'm like, John Gruden gets fight of all these emails. There's more to this man. It's a clusterfuck dude. Like, there's gotta be so much of the dirt in this league that that is out there and all these emails, man. Did you follow the story with? I did. You know, once you see drunk drop in the hard F bomb, you knew he was done? You saw this stuff come out and you knew he was going to be gone and you kind of understand it in today's day and age. But what a wild story, you know, that's a 100% like a hit out a hit was put out on him. Somewhere within the NFL because the amount of emails they went through in the amount of shit they must have seen is fucking wild for him to be the only guy. And you know what else you look at the fact of like, you wonder why Tom Brady didn't want to hand over his phone that time? Are you shitting me? Dude, you don't trust these guys. And Goodell is just such he is self conscious. Oh my God, this guy. And so Gruden's gone and a lot of people can't stand Gruden, but the way this all went down. It is a little weird to think. And there had to be people who were panicking when this news broke. And, you know, just to, you know, we're not defending John Gruden. What do you say? He also said it when he wasn't even working in the NFL he was working for a totally different company. So the fact that firing from somebody said ten years ago on email, it's kind of weird. Again, this whole not exponent was just expose. Whatever. Made that up. Not expose. No clue, you're not going to investigation. Investigation. There's a whole investigation about Washington, who, by the way, is fucked up organization and professional sports anywhere. I mean, you got the general manager sending topless photos of the Chile to the fucking people, but like John Gruden's the only other thing bad here. Like, you know what I'm saying? People respond. No one was like, oh, you can't use that language..

"Chapelle is the black comedian. Probably the greatest storytellers on the planet. You listen to dave chapelle stand up routine. And he's not a comedian. He is but he's not he's a storyteller who weaves together multiple threads joins them together in an elaborate fabric of humor. He's a master of what he does. You know your normal stand up routines if you watch them you stand up you make jokes about something and then you do an awkward transition into your next bit of standup What's chapelle does that. That really sets him apart from everyone else. In the field of comedy is that chapelle tells different stories. But there's all eighth a thread woven between that connects the stories together so he. There's no awkward transition. It's actually a destroy you. If you're into talk radio you should pay teach what he does. It's vulgar at crew. There's lots of edward there's lots of profanity but is remarkable masterclass. In how you tell stories. The left is coming for dave chapelle because the alphabet gang is mad at him. His closing monologue for his netflix series establishes him as an ally of the gay community while positive that the gay community is not an ally of the black community and in particular. The transgender community is not an ally of the black community and he tells a number stories. What are the stories. Is he wife texas. A woman comes up to them during the pandemic at this restaurant not wearing a mask. It uses all the h. words according to chapelle. Hi power you breathing everywhere. He his wife don't like it. He realized that she's come from a table. Were there videotaping. And he goes over and confronts him he says that the the man who was filming him was gay there was a confrontation and that the man who is white called the cops and chapels point. Is that a gay person is a minority and a gay person as a gay person until the moment they need to be a white person and then there suddenly white again it. How can you be an ally of the black community if we do have a confrontation with someone of the black community. You merely become the white person who calls the police or the black person. It's a very thoughtful hour long monologue on not just race relations of the country but also the relations between minority communities in this country particularly the alphabet gate and the black community and it ends with a class on transgenderism and how gender is a fact and people who argue against that are arguing against facts in history and biology and so the transgender community wants to cancel. Dave chapelle if you actually listen and in one of the things he says is the problem here. Is that this community. Is it listening to what he's saying the reacting without listening and if you listen to him he is an ally of the transgender community. The is an ally of the gay community. They just happen to not be allies a film and he picks jokes everyone including veterans..

"Lee kessler is the fact checker of the washington post. What are you going to believe. Official statements or social media the southwest airlines cancellations over the weekend or a good example of. How news travels on two different tracks today. In the part of the united states that relies on traditional media. Rumors that the cancellations were the result of a pilot. Protest overgrown virus vaccine mandates were dismissed because well there's no evidence official entity such as the airline the faa in southwest pilot's union all issued statements. The rumors were false but in a parallel universe of right wing social media and television. The rumors were treated as true this weekend in protest a large number southwest pilot's called out sick and they effectively shutdown airline and many of them. You should know admire the company they worked for. They love southwest airlines. But they felt they had no choice but to do. This declare tucker carlson on fox news. The pilots committed most basic active nonviolent civil disobedience. Something we used to celebrate in the country. They stayed home. Carlson offered no evidence tobacco statement though. He claimed quote an unnamed pilot. Who said he was losing sleep over the mandate he also interviewed and on the air pilot protesting the mandate who didn't work for south west. The fact that no southwest pilot's have come forward. to confirm a sickout undercuts. The idea that the mandate played a role in flight cancellations as far as we can tell no pilots were anonymously quoted in either the dallas morning news or the houston chronicle two papers that would be positioned to document or walkout but we are not going to completely rule out the possibility either. Stranger things have happened in some of the official statements up here carefully worded there right there right. The faa everybody. They denied it. The pilot's union denied it. They all said it wasn't so southwest on monday. Sit on friday evening the airline into the day with numerous cancellations.

"Y'all it never ever fails. I go out of town for a couple of days and all hell breaks loose headlights. All i wanna do is be behind this microphone. I i i love my family Really do we had a nice couple of days off. The kids had a monday and tuesday off from school and so it was nice to hang out with family and stuff. But gosh i know. I'm in the right career because i just wanted to with all the news. I got things to say. Welcome it is. Eric erickson here. It is my show from my flagship studio. Wsb espn atlanta across the nation via satellite to you and yours. The number eight seven seven nine seven three seven four to five. If you want to be on the program all right We gotta talk about jon gruden yet. We actually do. It actually is a bigger story than just gruden There is no truth that urban meyer released the emails to detract from him. We'll get into that. But first we must talk about southwest airlines. If you have heard southwest airlines has had massive massive delays and cancellations over the last number of days pretty significant cancellations around the country and south west itself more that a little bit destroyed its credibility on the issue because south west came out originally and said that the reasons were weather and the faa the there were shortages at the faa in particular and that had a lot to do with it. The problem is that the f. a. then came out and said nope there or any significant weather issues around the country and we are not short staffed so the federal government directly contradicted. What southwest airlines would say. Not only that is kind of remarkable that if there were weather issues southwest was the only airline plagued by the issues maybe it's like winnie the pooh with little black rain clouds floating around southwest airlines dropping stuff autumn in perfectly fine for everybody else. But it's just a little blank lot of over southwest airlines except that didn't appear to be the case either so conservatives hit on the most likely reason That being that perhaps it was a vaccine boycott. South west denies that it is subject to a vaccine boycott by its pilots. They deny it but Perhaps it is. There's some truth to it Here is a bit of southwest. Ceo on cnbc talking about the vaccine mandate talking about the vaccine mandate. Oh yeah. I mean there are some that have very strong views on.

The Daily Wire's Matt Walsh Discusses the Firing of Football Coach Jon Gruden
"Matt Walsh from the daily wire Welcome back to the show Thanks for taking the time with us today We appreciate it Hey Dan thanks for having me Yeah you got it So Matt this situation with Jon Gruden the Las Vegas Raiders coach You know is this the new standard You're one of the best commentators out there on the ongoing culture war against us which we didn't ask for by the way I mean is this the new standard you send an email ten years ago with some crappy language in it I mean really if all of us had our emails from the last ten years disclosed publicly I mean we'd all be fired and part two of the question if I may You know they have a M and M Matt performing at the halftime of the Super Bowl show What do you think his emails Yeah Eminem we don't have to look at his emails and we just look at the lyrics that a song these performed for the public and millions of dollars and same for Dr. Dre snoop dog they're all performing And they're going to perform some of those very songs where they use the language that John Gruden just got fired for using And that's why I agree with you I mean look any of the people who are pretending to be offended by John Green's email I would encourage any of them I challenge any of them to just publish their Gmail password and let us comb through it We'll keep it in your loan go back farther than that I promise But let us look through ten years of messages and give us your text messages to have you never in ten years said one message send one message with a content Of course that's not the case And that's why we have to understand what's happening here with Jon Gruden This is prosecuting by mob tribunal a thought crime This is the problem is the thought that he express it's almost no different Like if the canceled mom I've had the ability the technology to actually literally read your mind They would eagerly do it and they would cancel you for things you haven't even said out loud There's only one step removed from that and canceling someone for a private email sent from their private email account to a friend who was not offended by it I mean it's the definition of a victimless

"Three, two, one. Oh my goodness. Good morning, good afternoon. Whatever it is for you, I hope you're having a fantastic day. My name is Zach shameer. There's a strong opinion sports episode 300 and 90. We are ten away from 400. I remember 300. It's been 90 episodes since then. That's unbelievable. I've been pumping about like crazy. I love you. I appreciate it. I don't think I say that enough actually. I am just so grateful for the people who watch and listen to this podcast. It is 6, 55 in the morning, trying to get this recorded before the jackhammer starts. Probably at about 8 o'clock morning. So I'm trying to get it done. I got about an hour. Let's jump in. I want to start today with a correction, actually. The other day I said the Raiders won the Super Bowl in 2002. That's not true. I don't know what I was thinking. The Raiders did go to the Super Bowl in 2002. However, they lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who were actually coached at the time by John Gruden. It's a crazy story. In 2001, John Gruden coached the Raiders. And then he was actually traded. And yes, coaches can get traded. I think a lot of people don't even know that. He got traded at Tampa. And he replaced Tony dungy, by the way. Tony dungy, who went on to win a Super Bowl with Peyton Manning and indie, Tony dungy was fired after by Tampa, after the 2001 season. But then it gets really crazy because the very next year, John Gruden's very first year coaching in Tampa. He beat the team that traded him away in the Super Bowl. So in other words, the Raiders traded away their head coach, John Gruden, already a crazy move. And then 11 months later, after trading him away, they lost to him in the Super Bowl. It's one of those things where I wish I've been broadcasting back then. It would have been so fun to cover that. That story, that's as compelling as Brady versus Belichick playing each other years later. That's unbelievable. I mean, I was 5 years old and that happened, but I wish I could go back and that's like one of the only things in my lifetime I really legitimately missed out on that I'm like, man, that would have been an unbelievably fun story to cover. By the way, the Raiders traded, it's an awful trade. They traded John Gruden away for two first round picks and two second round picks, and then $8 million in cash. And now Davis God bless him. Maybe forever rest in peace. Old age. I don't know. I still, I wish, again, I wasn't alive really cognizant of the sports world at this time. I wish I could have heard the arguments people made because where people in favor of it did they like it. I know my history fairly well, but I don't know what the media was saying in 2001, or 2002 when the trade happened. So by the way, I remember John Gruden's last ever game..

"It doesn't even make that much that interesting so i got to put like five. I could probably put three hundred dollars on a game make interesting but definitely five hundred dollars but anyone who's gambled those you could lose so if you're five hundred dollars on a game you play three or four of those all of a sudden you're to k. And the whole so. I got to be careful with my gambling. I pick and choose as i get older. I actually just been gambling on golf. Because i can bet less and win more in football to win five hundred dollars. You typically get a five hundred dollars right. Maybe if you bet a big underdog you might get two to one but the big underdog for reason probably not going to win so you probably don't wanna place those bets house looking the over under actually think. That's the worst bet going 'cause if you're going to win any substantial amount of money let's say you're gonna play five hundred dollars on the falcons under which is even what's in there under a seven and a half so i got to get five hundred dollars september tenth or fifth or whatever place before the season. I don't get that money back 'til january whatever first or second whatever the last week seventeen ins so i'm out five hundred dollars for four and a half months at least if i bet on a game or i bet on the super bowl odds adriano to win a division. I get way better off. It's three four to one. So i can four x by money. Well i'm bending over under the are awful for example. If i wanted to say i think john gruden's going to be a disaster this year. The raiders under is seven the over under seven which. I'd probably take the over. I think they'll be eight nine wins. But let's say. I wanted to take the under. It's minus one forty five or excuse me the excuse me. the over. seven is minus one forty-five meaning. If i wanted to win a thousand dollars. i'd have to bet fourteen hundred and fifty dollars. So i have to bet that in september in wait until january to find out if i win or loose now obviously if it goes well or bad you'll know before then but still you don't get paid out until the seasons as a gambler. I and listen over under something we all talk about and they are fun to talk about just from a pure wind law standpoint but from an actual gambling standpoint. Terrible in. let's say let's say you're going to bet fifty dollars over under which might be a lot of money to someone. You have to wait for months for fifty bucks. That seems insane. You might as well just put fifty dollars on a game. You like we find out if you win or lose. I don't know by the end of the weekend. So this these over unders if you play it. Fire me a dm are they. Are they that fun. Like is actually easier than i think. Because i've really looked at heart this week and i don't find it appealing at all to show you how easy it is to file a claim with geico. We hired a soap opera.

Blame Jon Gruden for the Raiders’ loss to the Dolphins... but do it for the right reason
"Raiders lost to miami. Las vegas raiders are now seven and eight. They missed the playoffs again. This year and the blame has got to go on. Jon gruden their head. Coach I i like jon gruden. I think there have been moments where he's done a good job preparing his team to play. I thought the highlight of the year for las vegas. Raiders was beating the kansas city chiefs. They looked very well prepared. That a great game plan But again this loss to miami coach. The recent failures by the raiders has to go on. Jon gruden you're gonna blame jon gruden for the loss. Make sure you do it for the right reason. So all the attention after this game has gone onto john. Gruden's late dame decision making against miami. Where the raiders had the ball first and goal on the eight yard line with a minute and fifty five seconds left. And the raiders chose to not score a touchdown they had. I mean they first of all they had the running back. Josh jacobs literally taking the other one yard line that he slid down to avoid scoring and did not want a touchdown would have given them a six point lead because they had they were down gas. Were down twenty four twenty five so they didn't want to have a six point lead. They wanted to take as much time off the clock as possible then on third and goal derek carr literally kneeled to continue to run the clock down and they kicked field goal. Giving them a twenty five to twenty three lead with nineteen seconds. Left in the game and people are critical. The strategy like you should have done other stuff. You should've taken the touchdown you should've done. Whatever coulda woulda should say whatever you want to say. I don't think this is the reason to criticize john. Gruden every once in a while you have a strategy. That is a good strategy. That simply doesn't work. I play video. What is it not a tabletop. Game like a board game called settlers of catan a giant nerd and my family. We all play during christmas. And i had a great strategy of putting my game pieces on the the number eight. Meaning that if you have to you have a high percentage chance of rolling in eight like you would think yeah. It's literally six and eight or two of the highest six eight and seven like the highest possible. Things could roll when you're rolling. Two dice and eighths just never got role but i waited and waited my whole strategy revolves around rolling eight with these two dice. And it didn't happen. And i don't know this the probability or whatever. I just know that on paper. That's a good strategy. Like eight gets rolled all the time and this game. It was an anomaly. It didn't happen and that happens sometimes every once in a while you good strategy that for one reason or another. There's an anomaly. And it doesn't work out

Amari Cooper traded from Oakland Raiders to Cowboys
"The Oakland Raiders in Indianapolis Colts meeting for just the fifteenth time ever the raiders lead the head to head matchup with eight wins. They beat the colts. The last time they face each other on Christmas Eve two thousand sixteen thirty three twenty five was the final behind Derek cars. Three touchdown passes. Also the game. Derek Carr hurt his ankle and couldn't go forward into the playoffs with the raiders the Oakland Raiders one in five on the season. John gruden's team coming off the bye week before that they lost in London to the Seahawks twenty seven to three. Quarterback. Derek Carr seems to be the last man standing on offense literally Amari Cooper traded to the Dallas Cowboys earlier in the week marshawn Lynch out with a groin injury. The offense align is banged up. Even car is taken criticism. But he says the team is poised to move forward. Good things bad things change. Why? And how I work, you know, I I still have a job to do. I still you know, it's gonna be harder. You know, without you know, it's gonna be harder without clear, we knew that it's not going to make it easier especially for us for quarterback that, but that's no excuse. We we need to go perform we need to go win games. And that's my mindset. And that's how a lot of our guys offensively. You were in the meetings together, awfully speaking. That's how we with marshawn Lynch out with the groin injury veteran running back. Doug, Martin will take a bulk of the carries now for the silver and black yet over a thousand yards just a few years ago in Tampa in offense. According to Greg Olsen says it's time for him to step it up here. Good that we have Doug Martin here. You know, and he's a experience football player that allows success mislead. So I think we're fortunate to have him. Backing up marshawn Dicky's always known being real pro that knowing the wait patiently until his opportunity comes

Speak For Yourself with Cowherd & Whitlock
Where's Khalil Mack?! The Raiders aren't saying
"I can tell you that right now. Nobody is in that locker room worried about any tension. Nobody is talking about any of the things that happened the off season. It's just doesn't. It doesn't exist. They're the only thing anybody's worried about is practice and is the next day practice. There were times being that building where there are a lot of things that were being said about the team. I remember when we let lower Malloy go and they said it's over in the locker room when they lost the team and all, but. But it was being said, but nobody talked about it and nobody cared about it, and everybody just put their head down and work towards the next day because that's just how it is. You know, I think human emotions do factor into this, like it's a game, Dave operated a certain way for a long time. But Tom Brady has the franchise player certainly would like to feel like the owner and the head coach back them up regardless of whether he's right or wrong. You also assurances Defillo like all the sacrifice, all the things that I've done to help us win and be a perennial contender that those things would be supported and reflected in the way we go about our business. So if he didn't feel like he was getting that support, I certainly could see where he would kind of feel like I'm out here on an island. It could change him come to carrying on the message that has always been kind of dispensed, Eric, I wanna push back against something you said in terms of the reporting on this book. And again, I'm not sure of anything, but the book basically says that Brady immediately called. Smith in the NFL PA and got on the phone with them. And so where they might be getting the information from is the NFL PA and sources there that are aware of how Brady reacted when Bob Kraft stepped down. And I agree with bookie to the extent that Tom Brady wants to fill a level of support I and again, when you factor in all the things we've been talking about all offseason how much less money he's taken throughout his career. He probably feels more entitled embolden than some as it relates to deflate gate though. I thought it was time to raise the white flag for Brady to put it away. The NFL Roger Goodell was backed into a corner. He had to stand tough against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots because of all the other things, the players thought they had gotten away with previously. When you look at this situation? Tom Brady was there and Drew Bledsoe was traded to buffalo, Tom Brady was there when Seymour was traded, Tom Brady has seen all the things. That take place there and there's a ruthless efficiency in that organization and everybody who's part of it knows that they're part of it. So if you don't feel necessarily as a pre shaded as you hope to be, you're probably in the wrong spot. That's your mindset. We're John gruden's returned to coaching. It's not after the slickest start with Khalil Mack holding out of camp and reportedly ducking the new raiders coach. Now Gruden says the defense wasn't any good. Even when MAC was there last year and reports of service that Khalil an team, they haven't had contract toxins. February Whitlam is Jon Gruden mishandling Khalil Mack. I don't know because I really want to hear what Eric in bookie Brooks have to say because of the way he's handling Khalil. Mack says to me that, hey, Kalou, you've been a great player, but our defense hasn't been great with you here. So maybe you're not as valuable as you think you are. I find it fascinating and it makes me wonder, but maybe the splash plays or there for Khalil Mack, but maybe he's unsound and other areas that I'm not aware of it does feel clumsy doesn't. It is real clumsy, but being with Jon Gruden back in ninety eight..
