"Welcome back. Okay, so we are wrapping up our crime guide with the state whose flag should probably just be a gator on meth, you guys. It is time for only in Florida. Okay, so first up, police arrested a Florida man trying to steal a plane off the tarmac at a small airport. He allegedly told police, he was going to fly to California to meet his girlfriend. He also reportedly had over a pound of weed on him. So if you're going to try to sell a plane, should you also not carry illegal drugs? I feel like you're already committing to crime. You just double down? Right. Yeah, yes. Just add to it? Yeah. I mean, well, look, this is not the most ideal situation. I'm confused on if how we thought he was going to fly the plane. Yes. I can't even get on the plane without the right boarding pads. I don't know how he got all the way to the plane with a pound of weed and no pads. No, because it was on a private field. It wasn't like at a commercial airport. I've never flown private. I don't think he has either. Florida gas station robber tried to disguise himself as a woman to conceal his identity. Shockingly, it didn't work out in the local news gave a very specific description of his outfit. The man was committed to trying to conceal his identity. He was wearing knee high boots like I'm wearing here. Fishnet stockings, a black dress, and a long, black wig. And it was all caught on camera. A man disguising himself as a woman, walked into a very gas station around three in the morning, pretending to buy cigarettes. You can see he pulled out a gun and demanded money after the cashier asked to see his ID. The cashier handed over the money and then called 9-1-1. The man the sheriff's office has now i-d-ed as 33 year old John Graham was wearing a black hat, a black wig, a black medical mask, a gray sweater, black fishnet stockings, and black boots. Not that good of a disguise if they could identify this man through all of it. Well, this might have been a footage for his audition tape for RuPaul's Drag Race. Okay. Nice. What are you giving him? That didn't look put together. He's in the bottom two tonight, because it would have been 5 of them all black ensemble, but then the gray sweater just broke it all up. It wasn't right. Uh huh. Did you see how he whipped out the gun? I was like, I can't like a scarf and he kind of like, remove the scarf. Just like a little magic trick. I gotta go. And I got a rabbit. It was confusing to me like this looks like somebody who's about to rob you. I was surprised at the cashier asked for ID. This man looks shady. Right. Well, I don't know, be careful now, 'cause I got a couple black wigs as well. And if I go in the store, I don't want them calling the police. No, no, but they didn't look like that. That's true. Maybe back in season two. And last but actually not least, a man was arrested outside a waffle House in Cape Coral Florida. So the reason he was reportedly causing a disturbance by yelling, you better cook the bacon right. Yeah. Yes. I would be so mad if that was all my police report. Bigger is a serious matter though. Yeah. That's real life. I mean, if you've never had undercooked bacon, then you don't know the struggle. Is there a food that you have a particular quirk about where you're like it has to be cooked this way? A steak. Steak, yeah. Same. Yes. But are you like medium? What are you? I'm like, I can't be pink. Oh, go for my mother. Yeah, and no pleading. So well done. Yeah, well done. Oh, wow. I don't know, they still made people like you. That's me. A well done. I always like send it back to in their life. Not really well done. I will be at the bar afterwards. I'm embarrassing. And I will say. Okay guys, that is it for tonight's best of nightly pop. Now remember, don't break any laws while having a good time. We'll have more of the show's funniest moments tomorrow with our flashback to the 2010s. You know, including that big old scandal with Beyoncé and that girl with the good hair, good lord that was crazy. Gen Z, you better pay attention here.

"Point in American history This law this law meets that point For most of the 20th century we led the world by significant margin because we invested in ourselves But with all the doing and all the talking the biggest topic of the week by far was simply inflation With some members of the board now saying it may be time to get a bit more hawkish like James bullard from St. Louis It behooves the committee to attack in a more hawkish direction but we could move faster We kept optionality on this that we could speed up the taper if it's appropriate Here to put it all in the investor's perspective our John Graham CEO of CPP investments managing over half a $1 trillion for assets for that candidate's largest pension fund and Catherine Keating She's CEO of BNY Mellon wealth management Welcome to both of you So guys let's start with you Inflation I think was the big story of this week How did it affect investors views of the marketplace So I think the new inflation news this week in a recent days has been that we see some signs that we may be seeing some peaking We see it in inventories starting to build in certain sectors of the economy We see it in some of the port log jams starting to ease a little bit and we see it in emerging markets starting to tighten which is a deflationary force that will affect the global economy But I think for markets and for investors the question really is where do we see inflation a year from now Markets always look ahead And a lot can happen in a year Think about last November Think about last Thanksgiving how different it was than what we're expecting this year with vaccinations and travel And so a year from now what do we think We would use the word not transitory but transitioning Transitioning from the higher inflation that we have right now 5 and 6% But also transitioning from the very low inflation we had in the decade after the global financial crisis which was less than 2% to something more in between Three or four And what we need to remember is that markets have behaved very well with inflation in that range for most of our careers as investors Yeah no question They have performed well So John do you agree with that analysis we were transitioning not to 6% but to three or 4% And if so what does it mean for your investors and particularly you need to worry about all those pensioners out there waiting to have their checks when they need them Yeah I think we would have actually a very similar view and I think probably every day this week we talked about inflation and the word that kept coming up was transitory And my question is what does transitory mean It's not that helpful a word without a time horizon put on it And I like the word transition 6.

"I ran him down an hour number one. I'll periodically give them again to you over the course of the show, because I know not everybody listens for the entire four hours when I'm on God bless those of you who do but I'll every once in a while. Inject my selection. Then if you are in alignment with me feel free to tell me how smart we are. Or if you think I've screwed this thing up badly, and I'm disrespecting your team and or have the wrong teams in the Super Bowl, feel free to share those opinions with me, too. Two ways you can do so one is it's, uh, on Twitter at Jodi McMahon J O D Y M A C M A N. You're going to have to make it pretty creative. To be the best tweeted today, though you're just going to disagree me on my football packs. You're going to have to have a creative way to do so. If you can. Then I guess there is a possibility that you could be The Mac daddy tweeted today, But you're gonna have to get real creative about it The other way you can avoid your opinion on the show is on my telephone lines 855 to 1 to 4 to 27. I got a couple open lines. Right now. I did mention earlier that, uh, Patrick can't lay ended up winning the FedEx Championship. The players championship today fun down the stretch between he and Jon Rahm. Once again. It didn't end of the playoff, though. Although going to the 18th hole, there was a possibility. Cantlie was a stroke up over Jon Rahm. Um can't we had a great six iron M within 12 ft for an eagle. So Rahm knew that he was going to have to make a big study also was On the green or just off the green into he yet it went in a couple of feet at all. But it bounced past and was in the short, rough sea news going to have to chip it in from there to have a legit shot. He didn't both party. The final Cantlie up by one stroke takes down the first place prize up. $15 million man. That's a good day's work. Can't we thought he was a big time winner when he won last week on the tour to go into the championship? Uh, with a two stroke lead, That's how they did the final round. Uh, they staggered the guys by their FedEx Cup points, so I gave Cantley a leg up. He went in with a two stroke lead. He finished with a one stroke win and a $15 million check. Not a bad weekends work for John Graham, who came in his the number one player in the world and we'll leave is the number one player in the world Because he came in second year he only gets $5 million for weekends work. He could actually use it. Could you remember He had a an incident earlier this year on the tour where he was well ahead, going into the final round, and they got a positive covid test on him. So you had to pull himself out of the tournament with a big fat lead going to the fourth to plan around. So you got the money back today. Good for Jon Rahm. Very good for Patrick Cantley. So if I got any golf guys out there want to put in a golf call, You know, I'll always take golf calls 855 to 1 to 4 to 27. Let's get back on the lines. Christopher Milwaukee good enough to check it. Chris, you're on CBS portrayal. Hey, Jodie Mack. I'm actually in Jacksonville. I'm from Wisconsin. Okay. I like to pick packers Sounds good for the NFC. And I'm not like drinking the Kool Aid. I'm not going 17, you know, like your earlier caller. I would kind of like to see the bills, and I think they got a really good chance and knocking off the Chiefs. But your picks are reasonable, um, really excited about the Packers Saints game being moved to Jackson. I mean, I get to go see the game normally. Oh, years. For the Packers to come in, and it's interesting because the betting line changed because they're not. They don't have to play in the dome. They're playing. It's a neutral site game now so The other good news for the Packers, and the kick off is at 4 25. Instead at one o'clock, and I'll tell you in September and Florida it's freaking hot at one o'clock. So, um, I think it's really a big break. Um For the Packers to get you talked about the Bears and Rams being a potential, you know, tie breaker. I think this game Packer Saints. May eventually be a tie break. I'm not sure you got the same little bit lower down the high break. You think the Saints are going to have a big year? You think they're going to be in the mix for one of the better records in the NFC? Yeah. I think you have a good Well, hey, come on. Jamie's Yeah, I understand all the interceptions, but, you know, with with the new head coach, and, uh, yeah, I think they can be competitive. Yeah, I don't. I think they're below 500 team. I don't think they're a playoff contender. I don't think they're going to beat Tampa Bay, but I think that they have a good shot at the wild card. Okay. You got them in the wild card mix. I do not. I have them below 500. I think Jamie's will do exactly what he did in Tampa. Score a lot of points. The whole bunch of touchdown scores through a lot of picks, including Pick six is because Jamie's forced in the wall into bad slots and leaves guys with wide open green fields in front of them. Um, no, I don't think he's going to change. I know he's talking a good game, but his year of mentorship under Drew Brees has made him a different player. I I need to see it with my own twice and I watched some of their actions after the fact never lie, But the NFL doesn't really nice job with the preseason games re airing everything, and I saw some of the Saint action. He looks like Jamis Winston to me. It doesn't look very different. He threw a couple very ill advised, passing through a couple of really nice passes that you know he's got armed talent. I just don't see it for him in New Orleans, and I give Sean Payton lot of credit. Big fan of the coach. I'm a big patent fan. Um, he picked the right guy. Because to me, taste smell isn't even close to being a starting quarterback on a team that's gonna make the playoffs. And there's a chance that at some point they may flop it and they may put Taysom Hill in and that's one of the reasons why I've got the Saints at seven and 10. I think Jamie's won't be doing well enough..

"Keep saying Bryson's game is really not not built for this place, but I mean, he's already got a trophy from your field and his his trophy case so How can I hack and I pick against him, But I gotta tell you to me, I cannot believe we're not talking about Jason Day. I mean, I know his puddings been horrendous this year, he admits having lost confidence in the putter. But how can this guy who knows the golf course is a member here have not played better over the years. And how often do we see on tour? Somebody who goes into a tournament? Played poorly, not expecting to do anything. All of a sudden they snap out of it someplace where they really like playing and Jason Day loves playing this golf course I like I look for him to be around Sunday afternoon. Well, the thing with Jason Day could be to Mr Golf that, you know, we know that his mom is not a healthiest right now. So some of that could be affecting him as well. Just off the top of my head, But you're right. That is such a great point with him this being in his backyard. And CNN running around town. Actually, sometimes that, Jason, you know here and arguably, he should be, boy. He should be in contention. You'd feel like every year in here since he should know every blade of grass and so on. But Yeah, some fantastic points there with the golfers, But we saw John Rahm earlier when we were coming in, and, um, we didn't. Obviously we didn't get to talk to him Talk to him, But, you know, he's the guy who's defending and clearly we know that was in July, and we know that. You know, it was a different time of year here. I don't know how different I haven't played the golf course enough, like some people. To know that how different does this golf course play in July as opposed to this first week in June, if any, would do you? Do you think that effects anything with John the out of it Because of that, or his game was better than you have any thoughts on John Graham? Yeah, I don't think he's out of it. But I don't think his winning last year as anything to his being a favorite in anyways whatsoever. It's a totally different golf course. Just from from the fact that's redesigned, but also the conditions are so much different than it was last July. And I think like Colin, Mark Ali, you know he wanted the week before the work day's thing on because playing well, so I'm not gonna say he's out of it, Of course, but it and you do get confidence winning on a golf course. This is a different golf course than the one that they play on. So there's certainly some benefit to having one here. You can. You know, in your mind, you get some confidence in Tampa one here before I can win here again. You know the Jason Day thing? I think it's more about him being under the radar. Nobody expects anything for him this week. So I think that's a benefit. I do like the idea of Maura Colic, and he's such a great iron player. He's so smooth if he gets the putter working, look out on D. I think In addition to Jason, you know as far as Australians Adam Scott is a guy that I take fifth beer field as well as anybody that the type of irons that he hit me, he says. This towering iron shots Very Nicolas like in his game and again if he could get the putter work, and he might be a guy that we have to contend with Sunday. Latest well Mr Golf Ray Hus Tic. "He's obviously been playing great lately. And you know, John Graham is is a former champion here and obviously just a year ago and Colin Mara column You know we haven't talked about him much lately, but he's having he's pretty solid this year with top 10. And he won at Muirfield last year just wasn't the memorial tournament. I'm waiting to see if there's gonna be some interesting tweets, though. Like if somebody's following Bryson around the course. Just from a social media standpoint, that's that's all I want to know from your From your standpoint, Ray Um, some of the guys playing the best golf right now. Who do you like, um, possibly getting a handshake from Jack this weekend. Well, give me speed. I just He's gonna bust out here and get back to the way we saw him when he was winning Major championships, and I love it this week. I love him on this golf course He's had some good finishes here. Well, he has. Why hasn't one he's had good finishes here. I'm not a fan of the sham pose way I don't. I don't love it. It's working for him right down every week. We're going to a tournament. I think I can do that on this golf course. I just don't see it. But he turns around and Does it anyway, and they had a horrible showing at the Masters, which we all thought he was going to, you know, really tear it up there because there's You know he made he made bust out and win this tournament this week as well. So I think we've got a fair number of guys who are former champions. They're playing really well right now, along with guys who are just playing well right now, that's that's always good just to keep the momentum rolling. Andre, You know, we've got so much. The Canadian guy Corey Connor's gonna love this guy's game and he really likes Muirfield. I think he's a guy that will see late Sunday as well. Speaking with Mr Golf, Ray, Huh? Sticks talking about the memorial. Of course, the practice rounds are underway and then the pro am coming up tomorrow. Paler Peyton and Eli Manning are going to be there and are do you think that I mean brothers playing on the course. Do you think there's any kind of a friendly little wager going on between those two? Huge. Yeah. And Peyton loves loves golf, and he loves to play a little extra fun on. So I think there will be some brother brotherly rivalry going out there But watching the program. It's gonna be really cool. I gotta tell you for me Just for people who have been going to the Muirfield over the going to the memorial over the years. I think it's going to be as much fun to see the new golf course as it is to see all these stars playing. Yet with the renovations that have been made, and I did see a little bit of that, as I was looking through the Internet, I mean, they're really yet it's more than just a little renovation. It's a pretty big renovation. There's only two holes that didn't get touched and holds like 15. When you go out there and see that the entire fairway has been dropped by something like 15, or 16 ft, So you can stand on the green on see the tea, which was impossible before and In so many different I mean their teas that have been moved the cheese on the third holes and real short par four that move to the right team hunts. Five have been changed. That whole green is brand new. There's so many new greens out their new green sites. It's really going to be fun to watch and water comes into play more on some of these holes that he used to again should lead to slightly higher scores. But if you're a fan of mere feeling has been out there before, and you love the game, and you love the golf course on the stairs and love it even more, But you're going to enjoy seeing all these big changes. Very much looking forward to seeing what happens this week. Of course, the memorial always big here for central Ohio. And now with the renovations, one last question for you because there are a lot of other tournaments that come in to Muirfield. Do you think that they will either shy away from this? Or will they embrace the changes? Say? Oh, yeah, Now we really got to get there. Well, most of the players really got to get here. I mean, they want to be here to see Jack. They all want the chance to shake his hand and really way joke about the milk shakes a little bit. That's only one part of the experience. When Jack built Muirfield Village. He was really the first tournament that had been built on the PGA Tour that was for the players and their experience. And so many other tournament directors and management companies have tried to copy what's happening here because The players are treated better here than probably any other event on tour. And so you couple that with Jack and his just his aura in his place in history of the game, along with a great golf course. Super great fans that you know people that know golf and love, golf and central Ohio. And I think all of those things that recipe for Yet just another year, another great golf course. And I think when we're all done, most people are going to say they love the changes to the golf course. And they're gonna want to get back here as soon as they can. Sounds good, Mr Golfer Ray Hus tic speaking.

Phil still hits it hard. It's in here are so is the longest course in the history of the event. I was telling her tea and the longest drive of the day. Yes, it was filled. There You go with Phil. Hell still hits it hard, you know? And that's a good part of it. So it's I never would've thought, though. Honestly, that at 50, you could be out there competing with some of these young guys. But how about DJs? The first number one ranked player in the world to miss the first two cuts? The major since Greg Norman? I think in 1991 about that. You almost forget with him, DJ. Well as guy I love his swing. I told you that last week like, but you know what? Greg Norman, you could almost like, Okay, maybe toward the tail end. Maybe, but for a young guy like that. That is surprising. Number three to age. You were talking about this earlier, right? So Phil's 50 50 but didn't feel 50. When you watch him out there is they look like there's that look like a 50 year old to you. I mean, listen, Tim Tim Herron's younger than he is. He's obviously in a ton of better shape than Tim Herron is Jason Duffner in his heyday was big, portly fellow off going, but no, he looks better than he didn't like 2006 when it was Louise. Yeah, we're going to come bubbling. Yeah, so he looks much better than if it's he's fasting 36 hours. That's fine. Do whatever it is you want to do to make yourself happy. But yeah, he He looked good. He looked like he was in shape. Absolutely. But Father. Time catches up to everyone. Guys. Did you read the tweets from his sister Know we're having his brother on today. I know that we're talking about so his sister. Said she was getting texts from the mom. Hey, you need to reach out to Philip right now. Do not tell him not to go for it. Don't in. What did he say? Don't engage his cab's just make par and let everyone have to chase him. He won't want to hear from his mother. So please text him. She said. Hey, he's only listening to Tim. So I think we're good text him. Yeah, And then she said they were at a family dinner A week ago, Phil sat down and said I had a breakthrough, an epiphany today. I'm going to win very soon, and Tim said, Yeah, the best even planes, him said, I guess he said that more one of the same work after with the track where with extra Wells Fargo be siento once for the lead after first round then Yeah, he said. He's he's close. So Still never would've thought it wish I would have heard that wouldn't have thought it will couch change down and 300 of one. I mean, it's like you're barely on the board of 300 the one you know Phil, Phil Phil, You're part of the field Well before that the U. S Open is giving him a special exemption because he's not even He doesn't have any exemptions will now he does, but he's never weekend. They were going to say Okay, you know on the arm, Phil, come play because he's not even in the top. What was the 150th? Whatever PJ forever, right? P. J S is, but doesn't he automatically like I think they're either five or 10 and he gets him in all the media. All right, Your master's US tickets five. Yeah, So now he's got his exemption, but he gets them all. Yeah, it's all right now he could play without the special exemption. He's in for the U. S Open. Now, that's pretty amazing to see win another major Johnny Do you think I'll say no, buddy? Yes. Oh, another one. The rest of your golfer's now piss to take that crap. The bed. Yeah, they went out crapped the bed on cue island. So that's gonna be a problem for the rest of these guys round was we're really John Graham guy. I love John Ross. Yeah, it was real upset did not want to be there. I think one more run for Tiger Phil, and then that'll be the end. I gotta get healthy Tiger. God willing, these four tigers gonna be 46 this year coming off 200 late. We're gonna walking, you know, walk a golf course again. Of course he will. Well, sure, with a sun watching him play, baby. I will. I'm not gonna count out athletes. Never. Probably him. I mean it. All right? That would be so amazing. Probably like the one guy. You don't want to come out. I'm rooting for the story. And that's I mean, it feels Phil turns 51 another and, like, three weeks, guys, but it just But you know when you're 16, but it doesn't feel like he's 50, though. To meet it to me. It was like Tom Brady with a renaissance, right, dude continues one. Despite the age, he does take care himself better than he ever has. He just looks it he for the last few years, he looks healthier. He does. Does he not look 40. 40 45, then Look, he doesn't look 50 50. I enjoy what I saw that I'm looking. I'm rooting for the story. When it comes to film Golf needs that I'll tell you. Yeah, Someone told me and golf Club podcast a great story that Phil and Tom Brady went to Augusta. Play around her, too, and they were staying at the cabin. I guess on the on the grounds and Tom Brady said to Phil. Hey, listen, could do me a favor. Do you mind running some routes?.

"Position. Have you run across situations where there's been pressure on libraries from local authorities or i guess even intelligence agencies to install you know high-tech monitoring monitoring equipment right. This is all for our benefit. Ran awful for our safety. They'll license plate readers facial recognition. Key loggers blue sapphire know. They're so many different ways today that we can be tracked as we move around the world. Has there been any cases of conflict here with libraries and law enforcement trying to install these kind of things. Oh sure. I mean. I i would say the most the most common our cameras and then also there's like a few other kind of more common Law enforcement surveillance equipment like for example. These devices called a shot spotters. That are mario surveillance devices that are supposed to detect right there gunshot detection but they also picked up all other sorts of audio and so yeah. I mean certainly. Local law enforcement will request to install these devices on the building or in the parking lot especially if there is if it's a quote unquote high crime area or If it's an area that is afflicted with like an addiction crisis or something like that Yeah no i mean that sort of thing. It's it's so common as just a very kind of local community thing that happens. That don't even know that there has been any real attention or or much writing about the one thing that i can think of that speaks too specifically the way that these kinds of relationships with libraries and law enforcement can get really impacted by the presence of surveillance equipment is there have been a couple of case studies around libraries that have installed cameras in there on their property. Not inside the library. But outside. And actually i think in these cases it was the library deciding to install the camera themselves so like they had staff felt unsafe walking to their cars at night or something

"Your leg back at Lancaster Country Club on TV Green, and it is time for a check of the PGA Tour leader board the Wells Fargo Championship this week at Quail Hollow Golf Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. Three way tie for the lead. Gary Woodland, the former U. S Open champion, is amongst those including Matt Wallace and Patrick Rodgers. Other notables that air near the top of the leaderboard Rory McIlroy, and a tie for fifth. He's too out the leader for shooting a 66 yesterday. And first round leader Phil Mickelson, who we're going to get into here for a few moments is three off the lead. He shot a 64 on day one and a 75 on day two. For Mickelson. It was the highest score following around in which he shot 65 or better in his entire PGA Tour career. So he went 64 75. He was paired with Joel Damon for the first two days, and they had some interesting comments. Damon had said earlier in the week. He's been trying to get a match with Mickelson for years. He goes, I finally get one here. He was asked Thursday after his opening round Kevin about what was it like playing with Mickelson? And he said. It was a great quota goes. Yes. He provides a lot of information out there on the golf Course s O. Damon, by the way, only one behind Mickelson at two under. Bubba Watson. He's a 300 power. Patrick Reid is at two under on. There were some big names that missed the cut, including John Graham. Kevin, I know you're following Rob a little yesterday to well, let me first say this about Damon. How cool is that? That you know, Here's a pro in a guy won for the first time this year is like I finally get to play the film like Was pumped, right? That's a cool deal like the see how excited he was to play with him. Um John Rami was interesting. So is cut streak ended, He made 22 straight cuts of the longest active streak. Of making cuts on the PGA Tour, and he had a chance to make it down the stretch. So on 15 so birdie's 14 to get to two over par. And which end up being the cut. I believe over two made it to make it well, But at the time, it was like thinking you need to get the one. He has a birdie putt on 15 of those, maybe 10 ft, where it and and he missed it. He's walking off the green. Any stairs up to the camera tower. And they caught it right, you know, And he said something like so some some noise or something insinuating something distracted him on either is third or fourth shot and gets a 16. You know, he ends up going to the 17th T. Anyways, he's still too over. Still thinking you need to get to one because it was teetering at that point puts it on the green. Now, 17 is such a difficult hole the distance wise, you gotta carry the lake as lake on the left side, You know, front and left. Even if you hit it long left on the green. The greens are so firm there they have a sub bare system. Um, it runs off. I've I've seen players. Ryan Armor was having a great round going and the day one and he hit the center of the green and it went off into the water. I don't think it by the way, I don't think any golf course should penalize you for good shot like that. Holcomb penalize you for a good shot. That's what my only problem with that whole 17 you can hit in the Senate of the Green. And it could go into the water that to me should not occur. But anyway, Rahm had 43 put it and, you know, sent the ball for ball, wash. It was a hard chuck. Yes, it was already afraid to tear my arm if I threw a golf ball that hard Well, the interesting thing was the part. The part part It was like five ft. It was center cut all the sudden it was going down the holds. One of those deals were everybody's had this putt. Not even the horse you where it's like. It's falling in and all sudden it just it doesn't go in. You're like, how the hell did that happen? And so I understood why he was angry there. Well, there's a good reason because I picked him this weekend, our fantasy pool, and so I finally get my guy got two picks in out of four weeks wherever, and they're both. They both Mister, please. Austin Johnson and John Ram. Yeah, At least you got played mine. I picked the hometown guy who lives on the golf course. Simpson Webb Simpson, who Thanks for the wait, Wait. I couldn't even change my pick and the withdrawal webs with one of nicest guys in the world. By the way, I'm just, you know, you know he's a neck issue, but I liked him because it's it's home course. Yes, I Made it a perfect three for three. We all missed the cut. I took Tony Fino, and so we're all out this week. We're golf experts, though. Just so you know, that's right anyway. Yes. Speaking of the finish ahead of you two guys, By the way, That's right. All that matters. Long season. Speaking of our fantasy golf pics, Yeah. A lot of we've got 145 people in our league and which is the way we could get more. There's monthly prizes, so there's room for more. So here's the deal. So we have. We're giving away prizes every month. So April. We put clothes on this week. And we want to announce our winners here. Full disclosure. Person who actually finished in first. Was my brother Jonathan. Cozy. Oh, loser. I know. So I promised him in the email. If you're in the league, you saw it. I said, you know. He's obviously an immediate family member here with show, so he's he's not eligible for our prizes. But he's doing the league for fun, he says. It gives him a reason to kind of follow along for the tournament this week. So pride, not prices. That's right. So we gave him an emoji trophy in the email that I sent out to the entire league this week. So he really appreciated that sweet right. So are 2nd and 3rd and 4th hour, Actually, our 1st 2nd and 3rd. So congratulations here. I promised a little on here love to our winners this week. So for the month of April, Rudy Fish is our winner. He is Going to have a stay and play Viper package, courtesy of the TV, downs, gaming and hotel. He had a guest or whoever he wants, has a.

"But we're also carried by podcasters. I never even heard of who are affiliated with major podcasters and so those you can download us and wherever you go and take us along because you don't wanna miss out the world's been very crazy place of late and there's a lot we need to talk about and for those of you who do not feel yet motivated to travel. You need to be paying attention to where in the world you wanna to go next because you've lost some time in your travel life having you whether it's for business or pleasure you've lost some dime and you know like the unused hotel room like the on flown in airplane seat or train seat like the on sailed in crews cabin. You can't get that back. It's not like the groceries you bought put on your shelf. You didn't use it this week. He'll use it next week or next month. If it's got a life spaniel us next year it will matter but in travel like in life when you have lost a day when you have lost an experience. You can't get that time back. So i think a really good use of your time right now is to be focusing on what you don't want to regret not having done get that list together and please don't call it a bucket list. You don't want to wait until you're half dead before you decide. Now let's go off and do something you don't have the energy or the health or the stamina for now. Is the time to be planning where you wanna go when this iron curtain of illness lifts and then you can even start doing all. The research and i highly recommend working with a travel advisor who has an expertise in the area. You wanna go to. Because they'll know things take you a lifetime to find out about but once you've got your eyes on the dissemination distinctions. You want to be heading to you. Can learn more about those destinations in the interim. So that when you're ready to go all you'll need is your duffel bag and you know i call them my toys important things that you drag everywhere you go in the world and your passport. Once we get lucky enough to be able to be welcomed into other countries in the world again. And it's going to happen. It's just gonna take some time in the meantime remember. We are focused on. Stay in play. Usa because at least we know you know you can always get in your car and go somewhere and travel safely so I've invited somebody very special day. That's making it easy for you to learn about destinations from the comfort of your home in a way that makes you feel. You're really there and that'll help you evaluate places in the world that you've been thinking you might have an interest in going in that'll help you own it down and so we're going to be talking with john. I've been in the industry since one thousand nine hundred eighty nine when i started out at. Oa g. travel magazines With the travel age publications and frequent flyer. And i ran their trade shows for a number years and worked for travel agent magazine where i started the us to our expo shows and then was the publisher travel trade where we had a big emphasis on the cruise industry as well as the tour industry. So i've been around a while. What years were you a travel agent magazine. I went to travel agent magazine in nineteen ninety five and that was right when the airline commission caps were announced at asked in lisbon in ninety four convention. Yup so oh yeah. That's the one. Richard branson was the keynote speaker at the convention center in lisbon portugal and he and his typical disheveled book who looks like he fell out of the laundry basket in great need of haircut. Quite the character Show stretch in that. He's thrilled at a castle. One nine thousand delegates and every woman on the lips. You can't do that these days. I was there for that. That that that's special. Dinner was run every year by what was then. Itt sharon Or maybe wasn't itt sharon anymore. But it was sharon princess cruises and american express and the three companies every year would get together and they would each invite one third of the guests on the guest list seven the people showed up overlapping and yeah and and the When you entered everybody was lined up in this like underground tunnel kind of area that you had to walk through and waiting for the big doors to open to get into the castle and into the grand ballroom in the castle where they draped dealing in silk and it was amazing and i remember They they we were leading. You know when you go to scotland or sometimes ireland You'll be piped into an event by somebody in kilts up playing the bagpipes. Well here. They had people Men dressed in those brown. Burlap looking Habits that friar tuck would wear in robin hood and each one was holding a candle that was about four feet long with a lighted flame. And i thought you know any minute we they catch on the some ladies rayon chiffon dress that we all go up in flames and era. That's my memory. But oh don't ever tell me anything you want me to forget it. It's ridiculous. I catch more people in lies but at that convention. Because you mentioned that's when the commission guillotine fell with the airlines contra the.

And how are you a little nippy for golf today? But I know a lot of guys were at Munich when I drove by earlier this morning. I played yesterday. It's gonna get cold tonight and will probably be no golf tomorrow the next couple of days, but The end of the week was really nice to play golf in central Texas. Yeah, I went over and hit a couple of puts this morning once it warmed up, but mostly stayed in and watched. You know, some really good sports today. I mean, you t Pull in that game out that really, you know, they fight well in West Virginia's A good team got a little lucky at the end when West Virginia missed the one in one and then missed two free throws with an 89% shooter at the line, but Or hit a big shot with a second to go toe win a game that we've really wanted. Bad as revenge. It really was stealing one on the road to me, because I think what not around the first time they ever had the entire second half of Andrew Jones hits the three pointer with 1.1 seconds to play. They were. I started watching closely in the second half, and they never were up so Patient game for the Longhorns, and you're right. They got some breaks. But what a story but Andrew Jones three years ago almost to the date diagnosed with leukemia, and today he hits a game winner, Texas Now 10 and one on the basketball year was Shaka Smart and Wow. Wow. What a year the Longhorn basketball team having. Yeah, they're closing games. Where is the last 23 years? They haven't been have been losing games like this. So it's made. It made a huge difference. And then we watch Buffalo. Went against Indianapolis. Indianapolis completely blew it. It's the first half young 27 24 the first time since 1995 Buffalo. Want to play off gas gets really won the playoff game against this is gonna blow your mind. Houston? No, No, it was Miami. Dan Marino was the quarterback 12 and Marina was a quarterback. Last time Buffalo won a playoff game. Congratulations to our friend Mitch more, Susan. The old red scans are playing in Washington, the Washington football team. You know, I have trouble written for the Seahawks. Do you have separate? Yeah. Pete Carroll, the former USC coach, We got to know the Longhorns got about 15 years ago this week. Yeah, and congratulations to West Lake. They hold it out against North Shore. That means Westlake. You're involved with the construction of this golf course. Corn, Crenshaw. You've been there many, many times. It is absolutely stunningly beautiful. I've got to play to a couple of times will help me out every hole. You can see the ocean and in that, right every hole, you can see the ocean. Yeah. This is this is beautiful, Beautiful, No pineapple field, and they had a couple. Of course. Is there a Palmer? A couple of Palmer courses? The village course in the bay Course that we're there for many years and then the Plantation is the one we built and they've had this tournament of champions there this year. However, it's not exactly a tournament of champions. I got up. You got a few, You know, They got a few people who didn't win win championships, including Harris. English, who Right now is the leader board at Number one, he's at 14 under par. He's just started his round. Justin Thomas and Ryan Palmer of Amarillo are in second place at 13 Logjam at 12 with Dustin Johnson, John Graham, Colin Morikawa, Rice and a Shambo, My man from Oklahoma State Victor Hovland, Daniel Berger and former Longhorns Scotty Scheffler. Just two shots off the pace at minus 12. So you see a smattering of players. You have not won past year. Of course, Victor Hovland has Daniel Berger has they? Shambo Has Colin as Rahm Dustin EYES Ryan Ryan Palmer won this year, but Harris English is not one. And I think, Scotty one the year before last, So they're letting players in. Think there's about 42 people in this field? Yeah, There's a little bit of debate. I saw Jim McKay. I was not happy about not having chant all champions there. But with the tournaments that were canceled last year would have been a small field. Oh, yeah, they had done it that way. Another person who's part of this is our friend Justin Leonard, who's now taking Really good seats at the Golf Channel broadcast so good good for our friend Justin Leonard With Terry Gannon today, the former North Carolina state basketball player, So Justin Leonard, leaving the home in Colorado to To go to Kapalua, suggesting he looks like he's about 22. "Traffic. Welcome back. Sports Time. Jason Dickhead Clement Speedo returns on Monday. What's happening in the Gulf today? And let's see what's going on. Uh, Harris, English is about to tee off. Ease it minus eight. Let me get it for you. Justin Thomas, overnight leader, right? Beautiful Kapalua, the first tournament of the year overhead. Why it was on it was on last night, John Con a con crack. I think that Chorak contract he's currently the leader minus nine. Webby Simpson isn't minus eight. Harris. English Isn't mine is saying about your guy. Certainly all Yeah. Garcia. He's yet to tee off. And he is it's still a six under par. He lost. Scotty Shepherd is having a good day. Scotty chef. There's also a 600 part three under for the day. He's on the golf course. John Graham with new clubs. You see that John Graham signed a new deal with Calloway. You know what I got going, and for the first time in my guess I've been playing golf 25 years. My first pair of golf shoes arrived yesterday. I always just playing tennis shoes. I have golf shoes that that I wear tomorrow. Really? You're kidding me. You never had a pair of golf for the longest time and I were ah, were 15 And so it's hard. It's hard to find them in G d monster size as we like to say. And so, Yeah, I could never really find a pair that I liked. And yesterday this week, finally on Amazon, I was like, all right, Give me these ugly ideas, Golf shoes, so I'll be wearing well color light. Good. Good. Yeah, Let's say they're making up. I'm where I'm still wearing. I've got foot Joy's these kind of tennis. You like deal, but I can wear them out there. They're the most comfortable shoes. I'm so old. The great Oh, Golf shoes were heavy. Oh, my God, where they have him and just no good, But these newfangled golf of shoes are really, really, really, really good. Coke crack Is that guy named Jason Cook COKE crack? I believe something like that. That's concludes our golf, fashion talks. Golf today. 83605 nineties, the phone number and Lakeway. It's John on Caleb E. J. What's up, John? Don't say you're old because then that means I'm old. I'm 47. I don't know how old you are, buddy, but I'm 40 seconds older than that. But anyway, with all the discussion with Longhorn quarterback position, think a lot of people have forgotten about Rochon Johnson came here. As a quarterback. Yeah, he didn't put him back in the mix. Because I've talked to a lot of people down in mid county in Jefferson County, and they said, this guy's really an athlete, and I think he's in the wrong position that running back put him back to the quarterback position. Let him compete with Casey. I have never seen him be a quarterback. I'll be honest. I don't remember ever seeing in being a quarterback, You know, that's always been kind of a perplexing thing to me. I guess it was the two seasons ago when we had so many injuries that the running back position that he was a freshman and the they moved him over to to running back that, he said he'd never played running back came to Texas as a quarterback. On guy. Can you believe I mean off the top of my head? I can't picture him throwing a pass. We never did a halfback pass. Any sort of, you know, took advantage of his ability to throw the ball. I feel like that ship must have sailed. If he is not, you know, they have at least two worked his way back toward that room. But I don't know. I think so, too. I don't think he's gonna go back to quarterback dizzy. He is a very good running back who has been overshadowed in the last few games by be John Robinson. But you can't say OK, go back to quarterback because, uh, crowded over there Right now. It's crowded in the quarterback room, but not so crowded. Still in the running back room, you've got the running back coming in. From Hal. It's Ville who's really, really good. Brooks is his last name who look good on the state championship game, but he's only a freshman, but he looked good. So I think I think Coach Sark my man. Steve is gonna have a Bushel basket full of really, really fine athletes to go to that. Really do, uh, By the way, Let me spell this out real quick. Look this up Texas Average 474 you 4 75. Her game last year. Last season. 4 75, and they had 52 offense have touchdowns in 10 games offensive was not bad last year. It was bad at some points in time during game but overall wasn't bad. I You get you get a question that no. And look at the well, look, It's fine. I think those numbers. You got a four overtime. Oh, Oklahoma game in there. So that's basically like two extra quarters that you get. Um I don't know what else. The Texas Tech game is kind of silly. There was some games where I'm just like, really. This is what we're gonna we're gonna put 27 points up in this game. The way college football is now. On by the look, Sam just was he did not take that next step that I was hoping that he would take Esso. I'm not. It was not a bad offensive season for the horns. And obviously Yeah, Mike, you're such gets his itself. Another big job. They're fine. They're fine it. How about that? Okay. All right. I'll take that. Would you Grade Jim Harbaugh's performance as fine asses? Oh, that's not the word I'd use. I'm pretty sure you you more than me. We're pretty positive. He was going to be fired. He was going to be dismissed from his alma mater, Michigan, has agreed to a five year extension with Jim Harbaugh. He's taking a pay cut. He has a lower base salary, but has a lot of performance incentives..
