"And what booming colorado town do you think matthew daily was talking about why none other than greeley colorado rounded up all the usual suspects all the typical naysayers when it comes to all the projects particularly terry ranch in greeley but i found it fascinating because i always thought that reporting was supposed to be unbiased and that i know those days her long gone right. I mean But let me hang onto that illusion that we can make a return to some semblance of Unbiased impartial reporting. Well not so in this associated press piece by matthew daily because he brought in all of the naysayers and all of those folks saying that Oh this terry ranch product. Oh there's too many unforeseen variables. There's too many things that could go wrong. Bon wine is as i've said in the past people are coming. It's not like if you build it. They will come. no they're coming. We're seeing a population. Explosion in northern colorado and water is part and parcel of that equation. I mean i'm stating the obvious here but once again was rather disappointed in this lengthy piece. I'll try to post this up on my facebook page At mornings gail if you haven't seen it and be interested in your takeaways from it as well because it is exceedingly one sided and it's very negative. What do i do. I reach out to a job. Staling jeff's taylor of course is the pin. We've had him on the show. Many many times says he is fighting those water battles glade reservoir or chimney hollow but asked him to this reporter even reach out to you and ask you to You know make some comments or did he have any. You know just probing questions to ask you about water law which by the way water law exceedingly complicated and i said. Wait a few ticks and there it is. There's that return email from jeff. Stella peo- northern water basically saying nope didn't hear a peep from this guy and in fact he can't wind up this article and he reached out to the reporter. Saying hey you know which you have to balance out this piece. Would you be interested in what northern water is doing despite all of the caterwauling and all of the controversy that seems to surround the these various projects. Would you like me to provide some information to you. What did he get back crickets. Absolute crickets but want to pick up on that thread with our with as a result of our conversation. This morning with greeley meisinger. John gates. Because i asked him that specific question. When it comes to okay the petitions are in signatures. Being counted and that count is expected to come out today Whether they have enough signatures or not. I have every reason to believe that they do but is changing our.

It is fantastic. It's is moving forward. I know they're still working out some justice but i spoke to the bell versus recently. I have personally talked to a lot of property down there As long as a couple of years ago and said now this your property you need to do with it as you see fit but it'd be great if at some point we can have a grocery store and rich marquette candidat and they're committed greeley and they made what happens so the the building as you know has been remodeled. I would guess that The chain question. I don't think that's been officially released. Although i've seen the accurate information in the media will probably have to do a little bit of retrofitting. but it's not as though they're starting scratching building. "Things i mean. I stayed with the school riot. Put my twenty years in collected a pension in been done. But i wanted to give more indu more security focused work in. That's why i went back to school for cybersecurity mission assurance you know got the degrees. I have s s p certification. Talk about how useful or not. That is when you're applied for jobs. How is it well. I mean it helps to a degree but really to be honest that bachelor's degree in anything computer related is we more helpful I gotta be honest. Why is that. I think that when you go through a resume there are there software. That goes through that right and i think that if you don't have those key things you just get dunks and you never even get looked at because before that i'd get job offers here there but i get seven to ten job offers day now just because you have the degree right. I mean i had a wealth of experience in years but the degree makes a difference and honestly does does interesting. I wonder if it varies by region. Different types of corporations. You know maybe have different priorities like you know. The older more traditional corporations may have some of those things versus some of the younger and hip corporations. What do you think yeah. I think younger in. We're talking millennial like hair. I don't think that college degree matters at all. It matters if you can do a job that they have so they're operating job. Can you do that job. I think it's different in the younger crowd Okay bigger established companies fortune. Five hundred companies. You know they're gonna give you scrutiny if you don't have that education i really believe that and so when you were transitioning out of the school at some point you decide. Okay i wanna go. Did you try to apply and then find yourself stuck and then decided to go. Get your bachelor's or what was a transition period or that thought process there. I decided to go back to school before. I even started looking. Okay because it's something. That as a personal goal i had never accomplished it previously. I just wanted to have that. Got i wanted to have that goal. You know attained in done And it really. When i got the job that i've got now i didn't have that degree. Oh okay so. I guess that liberals that offsets gatineau so how was interview process than when you were looking to transition when you decided. Hey i want to do something more security specific however interviews like did you get a lot of rejections now. What's life like now. The i did get quite a few rejections in the company. I work for now head very unique interview process so it wasn't a single in her deal. It was numerous numerous interviews over the phone until you got down to. I did note at the time but it was the last two people when i actually went in for an in person interview in then the day after that in person interview i was told i had the position so be prepared like in any job be prepared for numerous interviews. Make sure your smile on the other end of the phone even though nobody can see you per se because it changes your voice in the person's perception of you on the other end you don't sound humdrum or whatever. Make sure your smile. That's absolutely right. Yes i'm glad. He said that because that is actually a little tip. You got a smile and like you know even move your hands and be like animated as you would be in person on the phone. Yep and be confident and just know know. You're just having a conversation right like a lot of people get real nervous introduce really. You don't want to exude super amounts of nervousness because the companies that you're applying to you're interviewing with are trusting you with their information security right so they want you to be confident when you're speaking and talk with them do i. Guess that's a good point. Yeah and that's a good point you talk about like they're entrusting it with information security. Do think if my security jobs are a little more scrutinous than say a regular tech job in the interview process. I think so just because the questions that are asked are much different from other jobs. you know. In other roles that i've interviewed for information security. It is more scrutiny. As in how you handle data in not just how you handle data but just trying to think of the word for it. The integrity of the person really comes into play in the questions that really try to get down to your scruples. You know in. Are you a person of integrity or not. So that does come into play strongly. Managers saying okay. So i'm sure the interviews. Are there questions that people would ask you that. You didn't know. How did you handle questions that you didn't know what you have to be honest if you really don't know what they're asking the first thing i'll ask to do in an interview is actually them reframe the question or ask them once again just to make sure completely getting the question that they're asking in if i don't know after this time with the question i just honestly tell them you know. I don't have a lot of experience with at honesty. Goes a long way with that or if you can frame the question that they've asked you maybe you don't understand exactly what they're asking for you. Ask another probing question in regard to something that you do have experience in. That might be a to the question. They're asking sometimes that loops in another conversation in gives you an opportunity to shine at point in really talk about something that you do understand. That's akin to err asking okay. Can you tell some bad interviews that you had. That just didn't go. Yeah this is in the rounds around the time. When i was trying to leave and get into infosec in it was actually. It specific when the company was going out of business again in the interview. One of the things that i learned is the worst thing to say. Is that the company that you worked for. Went out of business or you know negative things. Even though it's a negative thing you have to figure out how to frame that verbally positives and still get the same message across right like maybe they were having financial struggles you know instead of saying. Ask just the company in you outgrew it and you just wanted more of a challenge. You know boarding things differently. So they don't have a negative connotation. Because i think that blew the interview for me quite honestly with did you say exactly. I basically said oh well. The company went out of business. I could just tell by the body language of the interviewers because there were two people. I was interviewing at time. You know the shoulders lowered. And they kinda gave a sigh out. Gotcha which told me. They probably what i said wasn't received. Well gotcha yeah definitely a need to spin things. It's interesting. I mean even badmouthing you know especially badmouthing your previous or current employer. You know that's never a good sign in an interview right. No absolutely not. Actually in my younger years i made that same mistake to just not good because i just shows that maybe you were the problem right. If it wasn't so much the company that you came from or maybe we haven't learned enough at that time you know it shows immaturity. I would say right unprofessionalism. It might be true. But there's always three sides to a story you know your side their side and then the actual truth but regardless bringing that up in an interview might not be helpful. No not unless you have a way to add positively to it or how the happening improved you as a.

"Welcome to get into infosec. I'm your host amy. Also my guess. Today's john gates jeff lead. It security operations analysts that global food manufacturing corporation for his team is responsible for thirty five thousand devices worldwide. The biggest challenge is making the business are making the educational institution. Understand why they need what you're presenting before this. He's spent sixteen years as manager of information systems in a high school employing the passion for infosec he acquired in years prior working for a consulting firm operating in the financial sector. However john's career started as a mechanic at a car repair shop. I was doing all the computer work in the automotive shop. Doing the updates and things like that and against it just one day. I thought i might probably make a lab more money. you know. i'm a lot more interested in not having my hands very every single day. We talked to a crucial traits in education. You could obtain if you want to work in infosec. And how his previous job in education equipped him with skills us today. John also shared his job interview tips and the war story where he save. Thousands of computers at his company from dangerous worm was new policy back then the way. I was sneaker land on about four. Four levels informed floors worth of machines as always. If you'd like to show these for their time and let others know about the show they might thank you for a right onto the show. Hey john welcome to the show. Hey glad to be here. Thanks for having me your absolutely thanks for coming on so maybe you could tell us a little about yourself and what you do today insecurity self. His i lived in your bill. I'm a father of seven but that's a whole nother podcast. I guess yeah. All girls in one boy So right now. I'm currently lead. It security operations analysts in the global threat management team for a fortune. Five hundred sued manufacturing have been in that job a little over a year and a half now. Okay and what's the life lake in your daily role. Yeah i was gonna say. I came from the education. K twelve background so the corporate cubicle thousand people in the building was quite an adjustment for me coming from an environment that i had full access to everything pretty much. It takes like multiple meetings and stuff just to get basic access on things so while it's restricted. It's still quite challenging responsible for about thirty five thousand devices so it's a very large devices worldwide. I'm assuming correct. Yeah that's firewalls load balancing devices and things of that nature and so you're dealing with more on the threat prevention side or you responding to threats he. I kind of fit both rule so idea what threat response as well. But i do deal with deed detection and mitigation as well. Am i say so. I kind of move around. I have a unique skill. Sad having come from k. twelve security in the main reason why. I actually changed jobs. I work sixteen years for a high school in roselle illinois in ended up doing more security based off because of my role as a programmer in building credit card processing systems. Midnight always been security driven. And i guess to take a step back from that before the school i worked back ninety nine two thousand for a consulting company or a basically did a lot of work around the the financial sector abyan annual chicago or to a trade in. That's really where my interest in security itself really came out. It was exciting to go to a location in have to go through man traps you know and retinal scans even get access to security areas. So i did have a security background before. It was sexy so to speak securities. More on the forefront. Now i wish you would've been more that way in the past like to bring up the story and talk about a war story. Well it's kind of so i was working for. I'm the tech corporation. I don't know if you remember that company. They were computer manufacturer offer professional services. Okay and i happened to be on a secondment with them in doing work at navistar corporation. Okay around may fifth in me six. That's the time that the. I love you virus number that one strong new dangers tonight from the love bug computer virus. This is far from childhood frank anymore. Experts say that the i love you virus could end up costing the world economy ten billion dollars in lost work time and i actually saved that company about fifteen million dollars because i was able to read the code in the script in build a registry. Fix that would work on n. Four machines nights at the time okay and servers in was able to toward a disaster like that. So i mean it's twenty years ago and yes. I'm an older guy so probably date myself without one but what was the registry fix like. What was it that you did and then. What prevented is basically prevented the spread. I'm assuming so you found out how the virus was spreading and you wrote a registry fix to prevent the additional spread is right yes to prevent the discovery invest in b shares in. Probably i'll send you an actual amount of occasion will probably be easier than trying to talk about it so that you can post it with this to tell you what i did. Actually mitigate upgrade it prevented the shares from being propagated is as the longer shorter that. Okay great and you roll that out through group policy. I guess at the time. No there was no policy back then. The way i did. It was sneaker lay on about four four levels in four floors machines. Wow okay cool. Yeah fortunately not too. Many people were clicking email. If you know what. I'm saying so. It was easier back then. So you always in a tech job so i grew up in a family where we didn't really have a lot of in you. Learn to fix things right or they were broken and you just didn't have them. The reason i mentioned that. Is i think that everybody that gets into infosec or hacking or anything like that really needs dogar. Stand how things work so. I actually came from a mechanical background auto mechanic. My first job was in nineteen ninety. Nine where i went like. I said for computer consulting where i was going basically to cbo and avian amro you know in the financial district. Okay so yeah. I did quite a bit of time. But it's good. Because i knew of foundationally on how things worked i did go and take networking classes and things like that. I think that's also important to understand how the computer works. Overall is another core skill. You really need to have a solid base before you can go to hire understanding on the security stack in how that plays into everything. So how did you transition from the mechanical side to computers. Were you always into computers. Did you have a computer at home. Oh yeah okay. Yeah from the time. I was like twelve or thirteen years old. I had computers around all the time. The commodore sixty four. You remember but i actually had the first one before that which was a victim. Okay kind of laugh about it. When i think about it now but no i was always around computers and i think i was doing all the computer work in the automotive shop. You know doing the updates and things like that now. Okay in a guest it just one day. I thought i might probably make a lot more money. You know. And i'm a lot more interested in not having my hands dirty every single day and things like that. And that's when. I decided to go back and i went to school for networking specific that was about an.

Well the land use issues as well as More diversity i think in the people gra Moving into fort collins. We're talking with greeley mayor. John gates at the moment and Were you a little surprise. As at at stu how many progressive ideology Candidates were elected and a progressive ideology. Measures were passed in fort collins on this and the city election actually not not at all I saw things Progressing that way Liked it or not. That's the way that community headed and the voters most like it The move towards the more progressive stance but I was not surprised to see that occur and it actually seen some signs of that. I'm not necessarily. Don't misunderstand me them saying that's a bad thing it's just Kind of how. Some elected officials are and the stances they take politically and then the beliefs that their particular constituents have about That type of progressives versus non progressive nature really as a community that would probably boy different stances on that but the fact that it went that direction. Four calls actually didn't surprise me at all. I would've been surprised at gone. The other direction as northern colorado continues to grow we see the borders boundaries between windsor and tim nathan severance and fort collins loveland greeley. They all start to shrink Do you expect that type of thinking to make its way east as we continue to see the growth kind of head that way. Yes i do You know they are Some communities you mentioned are somewhat landlocked there. Obviously not not entirely landlocked but of the four communities of really for 'cause level windsor We are by far. Have the most Room to grow boundary to grow. And so i think our growth will surpass all of them not necessarily because That we have more room. Thank you so much for taking some time and joining us this morning. Good morning channel. Good to be with you Mayor we are. Were rolling this week. Already but We've got a lot to cover. So i i want to start with you talking about this. The the five star program I've been informed that there is a group of greeley businesses and task. Force assembled to try and get greeley approved for this five star program. How is that happening right now. Well we submitted our paperwork About two and a half weeks ago and and frankly were a little bit surprised. we haven't heard We've had some communication with the state in particular colorado department of public health and environment and they told us early on that They weren't gonna move these applications quite as rapidly as maybe they would since the governor moved Everybody opera read onto the yellow on the dial or excuse me orange on the dial so i think that's the reason they've just slow down their pace and that's a positive certainly for us to get our restaurants gyms back at twenty five percent. The goal behind application for this was that If you receive the five star certification that allows you to operate at one level less than the state on the dial so Potentially greeley could be at At yellow or fifty percent. And of course. That's our goal but to do that. Or numbers have to coincide with the orange on the dial which i don't think we're at yet but We've had declining number. So i think we're awfully close. So we're anxiously awaiting from the state every day. We think it's going to be. Dave hasn't been well and that's what's so interesting mayor About having the city of greeley applying for this rather than weld county. It's definitely a unique case. I believe there's been a couple of other cities that have done this as well but does it does that..

"Now as you mentioned guy city of greeley along with abinger awaiting approval on this five star variants application but that said Businesses can begin applying for that five star variants. Is that right. Great point zero yes. We're while we don't want to put the cart before the horse. We wanna start the process and it has been started so that if the five star very instance approved That will streamline the process a walk because the person does have to apply depict part of the five star and They have to be approved and that process to get approved is there's rigorous as was going up to people forget it. There are some restaurants that remained open and They want to be part of five-star. Various to and the caveat to that is that the state says they are not eligible if they have been cited so as we all know State liquor personnel. Were up a couple times. Degree leeann cited some restaurants and My attitude and theory about it is that People want to be part of five star that we could and should allow them because they want to open under some structure conditions. That will keep everybody saves. So i hope the state loosen up on that. Little bit to greeley mayor john gates. Thank you so much for being our ray of hope this morning. I certainly appreciate your taking time and all that you're doing it. Always a pleasure have a wonderful bakery. Do some really mayor. John gates seven nineteen.

"One of the things that I ask of council as the mayor is that. We certainly aren't going to agree all the time and I. Don't think it's healthy if we do but what I like to see, harmony amongst the members and Being able to agree or disagree. in a peaceful manner, and there's no indication that that's going in any other direction. The council members we are communicating freely, and I don't don't see lots of differences of opinion, which is absolutely fine, but I don't see any friction at this point moving forward at all right now all right Mary last. Question for you. How did you celebrate our Independence Day? with my family with the barbecue and watching one of the professional advice. very. Very, peaceful evening, my wife and I able to get away last week and head up to yellowstone. And It was great to get away for three or four days, but I always good to be back and. I kind of feel like I need to be back in around to to kind of monitor. What's going on in the city and they elected us to be leaders, and that's what we intend to do. Mayor well I'm glad you were able to get away on. You've been working. burn that candle at both ends so I appreciate what you've been doing, and we will catch up with you real soon. Good luck going forward and stay safe. Stay healthy. To you as well ten are always going to be with. You have a great evening. You too. Thanks. That is mayor. John Gates, appreciate his time this afternoon. And look you know the couple of my big takeaways is. Cautiously all things are ago. That's that's good news. That's encouraging that they plan is at least starting to get put into place where you. were, we could see schools not only back in session, but also we could be seeing sports at least in Greeley as well. That's what we've. We've had this conversation a lot is it's the travel? There's not as much traveling highschool athletics..

"And that all the schools that maybe some would not wanNA play, so they might have to alter schedule, but I would say cautiously all systems ago at this point. Yeah that's I. Mean that's encouraging in and of itself speaking with Greeley Mayor John Gates of course, a great friend of the show Mayor Fourth of July weekend I. Know that there is a lot of nerves about people getting out and about. But it seems like according to everything that I've heard people I've talked to that. People handled the fourth of July weekend in Greeley and the surrounding areas pretty responsibly. It sure seems like they no indication otherwise. which commenting to a friend short time ago that I hope folks are out of fireworks. It was quite hectic year for the big loud blasts and we did. Make it through in Greeley to my knowledge at least without an injuries or property damage, you always are concerned about those with with the heavier duty fireworks, but All all went well in in our city over the weekend. You've been you've been a part of Greeley for some time now mayor did have you ever had a fourth of July weekend, or even like two or three weeks leading up to it where you? You heard so many fireworks? No I I. This is the worst year I've seen in. Folks are enjoying themselves. I understand that and. The police were running ragged, trying to keep up with the calls cause. As, much as fireworks or celebration of independence, they can be annoying when they go off the all hours of the day and night. But this. This certainly was a unique. weekend fortunately for those in Greeley. The greatest country. Club had a great professional display in the greatest stampede had a great professional sports, so that gave our folks opportunities to see professional displays from afar where they didn't have to get up close and personal with people, so, but it is A. Unique. Times to say the way standard well, mayor we, Sir to hopefully had out of those unique times at least start to trudge forward. What's next? What are some of the biggest obstacles facing the city of Greeley? Well I think the biggest obstacle that we continue to face this trying to get our hands around. Budgetary impacts of Kobe. It's significant, but to this point not quite as significance would plan you know most most municipalities in school districts for that matter had to cut millions of dollars from their budget and we did as well. But are some of our sales. Tax Revenues would indicate. and are watching texts.

Monday, after it is hot one, it's going to be a hot one for the rest of the week, but we were excited to be with you here and I believe we're working to get mayor John Gates up on the feed mill hotline WanNa talk with the mayor about how greely is responding and I? Believe we've got the mayor right now. Mayor, thank you so much for taking some time. My Boys, you can get to be with you. Well, it's been. It's been an interesting couple of months, and as we know, and we've been talking our way through this mayor, but things starting to open back up a little bit now. Can you update us on where the city of Greeley stands regarding Cova Nineteen? Certainly we're We're really doing well with covert number standard You know we're watching. Those numbers pretty closely based on all the surges. Seem, to be occurring in other states and We're not not seeing those in Greeley. Well County we're. We're thankful for that. To solve are positive numbers went up a little bit. Intimidated with many many more increased tests, but as a community doing really well with it I. Think people are still being careful. We are opening some more city Venues we open the front plex today. Folks have been waiting on that a little bit and And we'll be open in the senior center soon. Of course, the the pool and the spice parks are open, so feel like we're doing pretty well taking swallow, but but getting things back open, so folks can enjoy the. The enjoyment that they expect to to enjoy especially in the summertime here. There's no doubt about it. You know and mayor that even when we talk about the rising number of cases. I think that's something that a lot of people need to keep in mind is that we're no longer talking about hospitalization numbers. We're just talking about you..

Interview With Mayor John Gates On Partial Reopening

"Com by really mayor John Gates Mayor Gates welcome back to the show. Good to be with you good morning to you. I certainly appreciate your taking the time and there's a lot going on. As Greeley of course, as other cities across the state, indeed across the nation, enjoying a return to some semblance of normalcy. Tell us what that looks like. Well you're right. There is some sense normalcy the fact that where we get the restaurants back open. At least to an extent, you know pretty pretty well, said all along that the two entities that have really suffered from the Kobe closures are restaurants and churches. And the church is still are suffering, unfortunately, due to the fifty person rule, but My wife and I've been out several times since we've been able to sit down and Dine I. Guess It's the small things you appreciate because that surely has been nice. It's kind of fascinating when you think about it because we were talking about this just last week, the fact that going out to a restaurant is like. Taking a world cruise or taking a trip to the moon. Again it is a return to the small things that makes such a difference in in our lives. If there's any good, take away from all this. Maybe that's that. Makes, you appreciate the small things never did. I think I would miss. so much being able to go, sit down, have a cup of coffee with somebody or better yet a meal and while we certainly a lot of carry out. It's not the same as going to sit in a restaurant and catching up on the day and getting warm food versus the. Wolf lukewarm food when the carry out outcome, so that's where they've been great and. I were phone boxes here. Exactly, the Styrofoam box and we're starting to get things open back up the city to the degree that we can which is good. There's a slow rollout occurring today with our fixed up transit buses We're opening municipal court backup today. we've got some Other departments opening drive through or by appointment only so slowly, but surely not quite yet on the cool. The REC centers part of the problem with the pool. and. Even the REC centers is that we've got that fifty person maximum. And we talked a great wink at our city council meeting last night about specifically centennial pool and the to dilemmas. We have one is that we saw that is that at the beginning of this laid off all her stuff seasonal swig. We can obviously get some of them back. To run the pool, but our parks and REC. Director colors that we get. During Summer Day especially these that have been so warm three to four hundred kids centennial pool every day, so if we can only it fifty. That's problematic so while I understand the reason for that in an area that says large as as much square footage of centennial pool. I hope the governor loosens that fairly soon to allow us to adapt at number to a more appropriate number which folks we might be having using them so. Now. We're looking forward to. If I'm not mistaken here under this amended safer at home order, a swimming pools again allowed to reopen. Once those draft guidelines are improved. Final draft of those guidelines will be available on Thursday. Is that what you're hearing is absolutely what I'm hearing. Yeah, so. we're. We're kind of sitting at the ready waiting for some of those. Things to happen I've been A number of local pastors have reached out to me and we feel for them from the standpoint that I spoke to a pastor yesterday. WHO said you know I have eight hundred people in my congregation and I can easily socially distance and keep everybody safe by allowing four hundred in, but the current rules only allow fifty, so they're looking at some things like outside and. And they're really getting the short end right now at a time when people may be more than ever need to services of their church and their pastor, so we're. We're getting there. probably not as quite as quickly as I'd like. We are starting to make some open or Kobe. Numbers really leveled out that we're really happy about that. And what about Jay BS? Swift the meat processing plant in Greeley. What are you hearing about that up? Not very much they're not, they're not yet at full capacity of I'm hearing they've not had any deaths and knock on wood in a couple of weeks. I don't know to what degree they have employs out sick, but. It was certainly tragic. Losing the workers they did and I hope everybody's. Certainly getting better and have not heard anything to the contrary. Now back to restaurants, and again we've talked about this to a great extent, because our return to daily life and living space to lot upon our confidence level, so I'm curious as you've been eating out at restaurants. Are you seen? folks coming to restaurants and being comfortable enjoying the opportunity to just get out and dine again. I I absolutely have The restaurants that that I've been to certainly the restaurants who are following the rules doing everything right there, socially distancing their staffs. Geared up with the appropriate PP HE I. Know People personally and I've seen some commentary from others that said. There's just no way we're ready to go out right now and that that's totally fine. It's the person ought to be able to make some personal choices in life, and for those that aren't comfortable going out that's certainly a decision that they or their families should make I my family is comfortable, going out while adhering to. safety guidelines, but they've not been packed. Of course. The law would know rats that the restaurants that I've been to have certainly had decent amount of people and The restaurant tours is really doing a great job complying with. What they've been asked to comply with so very pleased at this point. What about expansion not only patio dining. Using additional space around restaurants if it indeed is available that seems to be a point of some conversation and debate. It does end up. Council fully supports. A business whether they're downtown or another parts of Greeley the opportunity to expand their turning footprint. It's a what easier for them to do. Downtown because the city owns the real estate Some of the restaurants that aren't downtown are going to have to seek permission from whoever owns the property to expand out, but that doesn't fact gives them the opportunity. To seat more, we've been working closely with the downtown restaurant tours to expand their footprint which would involve alcohol service and be able to get more customers. Be Able to make Starts get back on our feet again financially. And there's. An ordinance pending that would allow the areas on the ninth street plazas to be open container areas. Temporary so. Something I think the council doesn't WANNA do year round Norwood, the restaurant tours in the middle of winter want people to be sitting outside, but it is perhaps not an opportunity for the period from about now until Labor.
