C.D.C.: Schools in the U.S. Should Continue to Use Masks

"Control and Prevention says schools teaching students from kindergarten through 12th Grade should continue to follow covert 19 prevention strategies through the remainder of the academic year. Here's NPR's Jon Hamilton. But the CDC latest guidance for schools, the CDC says it's newly relaxed guidelines for fully vaccinated people do not apply to schools offering in person classes. The agency says. That's because students under 12 are still not eligible for vaccination, and those between 12 and 15 are just beginning to get vaccinated. Also K through 12 schools will need time to revise their systems and policies to reflect increasing vaccination. So for the rest of the academic year, the CDC says schools should continue to require masks, physical, distancing and other steps to reduce the risk of infection. The agency says it plans to update its guidance for next year in the coming weeks. John Hamilton

The Story of Allen Carr's 'Easy Way' Method To Quit Smoking

"The easy way to quit. Smoking book started as a quit smoking. Seminar where everyone sat around smoking completely. Smoke-filled won't can in itself folk sewage. Bullshit that's john dicey. He was a heavy smoker as in eighty cigarettes a day when he attended a london seminar in the nineties. The smokers would all sit around in armchairs. Puffing away some conference room you're meant to smoke through the whole thing. A practitioner would be up front telling participants why they didn't actually like smoking and why quitting was no big deal. Every single practitioner has to be an ex smoker themselves cured by the easy way the sessions were meant to be one and done and the whole thing took about five or six hours somehow after all the talking and smoking. You're meant to put out your final cigarette and never take another puff. It's supposed to be easy and for dicey it was. He was so moved by the whole thing. He decided to quit his job. And go to work for alan carr. The man he considered literal lifesaver. Allan died in two thousand six. I wanted to know what kind of guy he was. Who just conjures up a stop. Smoking method essentially out of nowhere and goes on to sell fifty million people on an very tense worth. He was born and brought up in. What was it the time very down at heel area of london. He's scott himself as a straight Allen had zero medical background no psychology or addiction training before the easy way he was an accountant and like dicey a heavy smoker. Who wanted to stop. He saw hypnotherapist who failed to hypnotize him but it was at his appointment that he first heard. Smoking was an addiction something about that realization that he was well and truly addicted to cigarettes. It hits some switch in allen on sale. Crime tape never gonna smoke. The seat of alan carr is easy. Way is simple. It almost sounds too simple. You smoke because you're addicted to smoking and not because you enjoy. Smoking is still a hurdle for swastika out of them because a lot of people think to be addicted to something you have to like it and that simply not the case. The principle of addiction is in it. Messes up your understanding of a pleasure enjoyed allen. Figured if you understood that you could understand that giving up. Smoking wasn't really up anything at all. You didn't quit cigarettes. As gained freedom from them

Towns, Edwards Stick up for Each Other After Timberwolves Loss to Heat

"While john. You're at the center of a pretty entertaining moment at a press conference. Recently after the timber wolves played against the heat and their former teammate. Jimmy butler can you tell us about the exchange you had with t. Wolves players anthony edwards. And karl anthony towns after that game. Yeah it was entertaining. And that's for sure. Tiffany as people may know. Carla anthony towns and the timber wolves in general have a little bit of a history with jimmy butler. He orchestrated his way out of minnesota. A couple of years ago there was no love. Lost so the timber wolves. Replaying the heat in miami. And it was a kind of renewal of the good tidings. If you might say between. Karl anthony towns jimmy butler kurlansky. Towns are really going at it. And they're gonna call technicals on jimmy. You picked up some of that. Otherwise people listen for themselves until after the game of course we have to ask our towns about that. Where where your emotions running high at that point where we're going through your head is that game came to an end there. It just so happens that he and anthony edwards doing a joint press conference and anthony edwards really kind of stepped in and took the reins mandate grown man. Let me just talking having a regular compensation gagged me me. Y'all come to see us compete. It's no competition. If we not six it was just a really illuminating kind of exchange tiffany because here's a nineteen year old rookie. Who understands that. The veteran right by his side has never been one that wants to engage in the public kind of mudslinging that jimmy butler let many players in the nba enjoy. Doing he always wants to stay above that. And anthony edwards understood. That and said i'm gonna make sure that squash this before it becomes a major thing and he did just that

"Lose against. This is a method upper-right. This is much as I have to say. That's it. That's unfortunate. So, you have time to Celtics have left John speechless, look at home. You know what? Bobby's going to say something. That'll accept me. More than what happened tonight? I'm sure. So, I don't know what. Bobby go. Go, go, go, go ahead. Now, the pressure is on the do it. I was going to say is that you should a sense coming into today, that's what Brad. Said, free game that the teams kind of packing in at this point they're in a good position to walk up 7. They obviously have some guys with some bumps and bruises here. So it wasn't surprising to see smart kind of packed in and we probably won't see him. The rest of the way. I'd imagined rabu definitely won't see the rest of the way as he tries to recover from that tariff do. I just wonder dog. Rodger and I were kicking this back and forth to start this one. Why is Tatum playing heavy minutes on a back-to-back? Why is Tristan Thompson still out there as he deals with a peck strain, you push in those guys and off the others back and you still don't even win the game. You kind of you said there in this game that you thought the Celtics were trying to win. John, I didn't see anything that pointed that out today. I didn't see it from an effort standpoint. I saw it from a strategic standpoint. You started taking them, you played Tristan, wasn't a hundred percent you played for, like I said, we can debate the merits of starting to remount Waters tonight. I understand the philosophy. I think you wanted him to calm down sex in a little bit. That was the theory behind that. I'm not saying it's the right call, but he clearly played the best. What he thought was the line up to win tonight's game, but I just didn't understand any of it, you know, like, you know, what's the point of planning? If you're not really going to try? What's the point of keeping Tatum out there till thirty seconds left in the fourth quarter of a game that had been decided for a while. Like why is dead? Still playing heavy minutes. Like what do you? What was the what are you doing? What are we doing

Local Governments Promoting Incentives to Encourage Covid Vaccinations

"According to the centers for disease control just a bit more than forty six percent of the entire. us population. that's everybody has gotten at least one dose of covid vaccine thirty five percent is fully vaccinated but things are slowing down. Millions of people are still hesitant and herd. Immunity is for now maybe not looking so great so local governments are partnering with businesses to offer free stuff in exchange for getting a shot incentives matter that we know but do they work. Marketplace's kristen schwab has more on that. The mission to get more vaccines into people's arms is starting to take on a bit of an oprah. winfrey vibe. west. Virginia is giving one hundred dollars savings bonds to adults under thirty. Five main is offering free hunting and fishing licenses and in new orleans a pound of crawfish. Incentives are nice. Because they're the bronx near leading people toward something in a positive way. Knoll brewer researches vaccination behavior at the university of north carolina. He says incentives appeal to people across party. Lines and studies show. They increase vaccine uptake by about eight percent. If the incentive is of value mario macho is a behavioral economist at johns hopkins. There are costs and benefits to any any action and a person engages in the action if her perceived benefits exceed her received. The costs costs can be literal like to and from a vaccination site. The biden administration has partnered with uber and lift to provide free rides but benefits can also offer people. Something they want. New jersey is running a shot and a beer program macho says this can make a needle in the arm. Seem fun ause you. They might go without with a friend or a group of friends and get vaccinated together and then go out and get their free beer and incentives. Like new york's free tickets to a mets or yankees game. Also whisper freedom like. Hey remember when we high five strangers after home runs without fear gretchen chapman who studies vaccine behavior at carnegie mellon says incentives usually work on people who only need a little push and researchers. My Name is Mud

"We're talking about mud. This ubiquitous combination of water and dirt is useful for science employed in health and beauty a little known component of professional sports. And it's even eaten to see someone's name is mud is to mean that they are lowly. We're that they are in trouble of their own. Making usually through some form of idiocy. There's an old story that the expression derives from doctor. Samuel mudd with two ds. Who unwisely took pity on. John wilkes booth president. Abraham lincoln's assassin mutt treated booths. Broken ankle that he suffered when leaping to the stage of ford's theatre for the doctors troubles. He was sentenced to life in a federal prison. Like many interesting historical stories. This one is not true. The phrase first appeared in print in eighteen twenty forty five years. Before lincoln's assassination in another obscure english slang mud was an eighteenth century equivalent of dope dolt or idiot and was used through the nineteenth century by union workers equivalent to scab or a strike breaker. Let's start with gio fiji. The scientific term for eating dirt or mud or earth on the island nation of haiti cookies. Made of mud are eaten and while they are tradition. They're not really eaten by choice. The mud helps to fill up the stomachs of the poorest country in the western hemisphere especially for the people in areas like the slum of city so lay yellow dirt from the central plateau of the island is mixed with salt and vegetable shortening spread into disks and allowed dry in the sun. The mud has long been prized by pregnant. Behind Louisiana's Climate Plan To Become Carbon Neutral

"The state setting aggressive climate goals perhaps the most surprising is louisiana. The longtime oil and gas state is now trying to figure out how to become carbon neutral by twenty fifty teagan wetland of member station w. w. n. o. reports like so many in louisiana. Daniel autan knew exactly where to find a solid career oil and gas hard work but it paid for his family's modest home on the edge of the woods outside homa thought it had a job for the rest of my life but five years ago the notoriously boom and bust industry came for him. He's in a completely different field now. Construction sometimes he wonders if he should have done something differently to stay with oil and gas in. You look at things from from the big picture and you realize you know you were probably lucky to have your job as long as you did. Democratic governor john bel edwards seems to have come to the same conclusion about the state's reliance on the oil and gas industry in a major shift. He says the state must find ways to address the cause of the climate change. That's behind increasingly powerful hurricanes floods and rising seas so last fall he launched a climate pask forced to come up with a roadmap to zero out emissions. If anyone can identify innovative and sustainable solutions for future it is louisiana and our kids are counting on us. Louisiana is the fifth largest carbon producing state and petro chemical and oil and gas producer for decades. It is subsidize the industry with tax breaks and incentives but made it hard for wind and solar companies to operate or develop now the climate commission will explore the potential for electric cars mass transit more solar even offshore wind turbines in the gulf of mexico. Just put it this way. It's the first time. Any louisiana governor has put the words climate initiative in taskforce together in one sentence. Nonni carton is a policy expert with the deep south center for environmental justice. So that is a major historic step forward. She hopes that investing in clean energy creates more jobs especially in communities of color and reduces pollution in low income areas. Talking About S.L.O.P. - burst 1

"The topic of discussion is talking about slop like that. Kinda cute guy. Whatever well not talking about the slop is fed picks nor am i talking about what soldiers eating. The child hall knows. I'm talking about has nothing to do with any of that but i'll tell you what it will do. I'll give you a hint. Slop is actually an acronym not so much a word however this word or this acronym. It stands for simple list of obligations prioritized. It's kind of similar to As an sap is i didn't know what an s. o. p. was until joined the navy but and this whole p. stands for standard operating procedure. And that's basically just step by step instruction manual. You're doing a particular job you go to the manual at all of the steps. Get the job done. There's a lot of reasons for that. A lot of its efficiency. Uniformity in performance things of that nature. And so anyway. Slop is the simple list of prioritized right well. So p. is a step-by-step manual or guide us employee's or workers to get a particular task. Done all right. So slop- is pretty. Close to and so be as obi just following the steps and slop you have to organize your own priorities or prioritize your own obligation as it were now. Slop is an acronym said four. Simple obligated prioritized. Now let me start by saying today. I'm not going to lecture you Gonna have the sermon to preach or anything like that. Without a doubt. This is a testimony and it has a little bit to do with this weekend with my complete and utter frustration. With my amount organ overwhelming sense of suffocation but sit god spoke to me this weekend and really opened up my eyes so i figure if it opened up my eyes maybe it will help somebody else out there. That is listening. Is there anybody out there. Well anyway. I am just fine today and of course i have no shortage of things about which to testify but since i have no guest co host. I'm going to be talking about slop. And i'm gonna keep on testifying in about slop however i know i'm not the only one with a good testimony. Okay come on extended the invitation. And i still extend the invitation for you to come and share yours after all. Isn't that what life in the sun is. all about the show. What christians are encouraged to share their testimonies. Yea okay let me get a couple of things out of the way first of all. This isn't going to be a lecture or how to. I am in no way shape or form better or more special or less special better than anybody. There's no difference between us. We're all in there. Okay now also painfully aware that. I'll make a lot of mistakes so if you would please. If you happen to hear me make a mistake and you just pay attention. I'm sure you'll hear one. Just let me know. okay samir. Message or comment either one. I don't mind public view. And before i dive headlong into this talking about swap topic. I am going to say this again. I am still a human being. I'm not perfect. I'm still learning not withstanding. I do believe that. God has no respect of a person and all that he bestowed upon me. He wants to get to you. Why because i'm no better than you know. Worse than anybody else that wants to get it to you. Just like he gave it to me so for that reason. I'm obligated to testify about what god has done in my life as an ambassador to the throne. I encourage others design. You know we're just ordinary people telling about what an extraordinary god who loves us and takes care of us you know still these testimonies faith that draw those who are hurting and loss into the realm of his everlasting love. And don't forget i john. Five ten eleven you know first yarn five tenths as one who believes in the son of god has the testimony in himself. The one who does not believe. God made him a liar because he has not believed in the testimony that god has given concerning his son and then of course in verses and he goes on to say and tests and the testimony. Is this that god has given us eternal life and this life is in his son so remember we are obligated ambassador thrown to give back testimony he lives.

"It felt like the old wwf. You know where they would have the pre match interviews and they just did like a thousand one before the before the show. It was great. It was awesome. I was actually happy that the rain happened. So let's start from the top. And i know you told me to talk about this and i was gonna ask you anyways. How do you. Because you are the biggest cogan hogan fan in the world titus and hulk hogan forever pirates soups. What are you kidding. Me ho me. tease john. Now i love hulk you know that man that was ridiculous and i love the whole a guest host. I guess but i mean it's just so scripted in horrible but it was so tacking it was it was eight hogan and it was hilarious and i loved it anyways just because it was hawk. I'm biased though osos soobee. you're biased. I love to do though even though it was awkward as well like they really tried to force this pairing together and it was like really didn't need to do this right and then of course you know you. They forced it because of the whole inward situation. Because if you remember when it first happened in hall they let hawk come back like titus kind of had an issue if you remember if you remember that whole scenario so i think they did. I think it was forced because that which is awkward. And i think hilarious because although titus forgave. I don't think he forgets to say i heard that. China's said technically forgiving him. But i heard that he was also still feeling that obviously so i was really awkward but it was kind of funny to me and i'm sure well speaking of they let that happen. Also because titus was in tampa so they actually tried to prop him up in his hometown but biggie. They took the championship from. Why do wwf keep letting or keep wanting to humiliate the wrestlers by having them losing their hometown. Do they think that this is good. Because it's not no. I don't know if it's hometown thing. I just think if you look back after the fat none of the world championship changed and so they had to change the littler titles. I think that's really it. You know what i mean. Because how many mania is does a world title never changed especially nixon had to one for each show. You know what i mean you have the world title and then undisputed title. Neither changed hands. And that's rare for mania. You always usually have a title change Meanwhile when i heard it will trump ender explanation is. I'm gonna beat you so it sounds like a drum is like okay. These kids don't even know what the matches but it was just a weapons manage. You know why. Why why you know what i'm saying. I mean they had like a whole bunch of guys around the ding beating drums. And you know the exact same thing you know. Maybe the an open pit you know like the african wrestling. I don't know if you've ever seen it looks like we're like scooting around in dirt. Yes can you know single knees wrestling that whack. I know the the matches it was kinda. Get his get his turn to because kofi had a big wrestlemainia match aside from the tag team for when he went for the title. This is big east big match. To bond the hitter and the Giants in a 11 time by a stone on the mountain. Here's Day Flynn John first pitch from buys his fastball that rides high bond takes it. Mauricio du Bon, Brandon Crawford, Tyler Heinemann, the bottom part of the Order Chance have some weapons available on the bench will see. Gabe Kapler manages this seventh inning of a tie game 1212 pitch. Bonds, swings at a slider and hits a foul off to the right. Well. Rabban has not had great at bats tonight and that swing right there was indicative of some of his swings. He's ahead in the count, want to know? And he just chased a breaking ball off the outside. Pedro Baez has really good stuff. But that is not a pitch that du Bon wanted to swing in. Here's the 11 Duvan hits this one on the ground toward first, but Erol's foul by first base, Max Muncy. Is playing. He'll go chase after no, No, what we call ball dudes down the lines during a pandemic time. So the players are going to do a little extra work in that regard. Dave. I should mention after this happening. It will be the seventh inning stretch sponsored by Dignity. Health. Hello, human kindness. First things first, the Giants trying to rally here in a tie game 12112 the count to do bond by his pitches. Do Bon hits a foul got fast ball over the outside. Took a rip at it. Dodgers left hander Adam Cole Eric Up in their bullpen, and he's a guy who's really been a lefty specialist type. We'll see how Dave Roberts wants to use him. He's been very good at that. But he has not been a pitcher who has had much success against right handed hitters. The pitch is in the dirt from bias. Two and two. It could be. Dave Roberts would target somebody like Mike. It's Trump's Keep for Alaric and try Tohave caloric face him with two outs. So that he could get a matchup. He likes finishing inning and then you Khun, then the three batter Minimum rule is out the window. Lancelot nuances to this new rule. We'll see how they play out during this season. Here's a swing and a Miss Duvan goes down second time he has struck out in this game kind of hanging slider. Recio du Bon. Just could not connect one out. Up comes Brandon Crawford 1212 Score in L. A. Dave Roberts is coming out, so he's going to make a pitching change and kill. Eric is going to be asked to face Crawford and this is definitely a spot where we could see Donovan Solano, for instance, off the bench. Against a lefty and what I would think at that point Jax would feel like would be a pretty good match up. We'll see how Kappler wants to play. When it's time for a change. Think speedy oil change an auto service. Your trusted oil changed tune up. And break experts. We're going to do this all season long where we're highlighting not just people, but groups who have done good work in support of the fight against covert 19. And tonight we're honoring fanatics, a giant's corporate partner as they've stepped up to help during the covert 19 pandemic fanatics, the company that manufactures the official uniforms for MLB. Use the raw materials from Major league baseball jerseys to create masks and hospital gowns. But it seemed that story that was fairly early in the pandemic. They acted quickly when we really, really needed that stuff. Halted Jersey Assembly and use their 360,000 square foot manufacturing plant create over one million masks and gowns. Well done. Giants would like to give fanatics a fog fog horn salute for their work in the community and literally were giving him a foghorn salute. Thank you for a job. Well done so we could only do that because we're doing these road games from Oracle Park in San Francisco way wouldn't have that fog going if we were in L. A. It's really hard to travel. The fog D. C could do it, of course, but things are too packed. Little little extra work for him, but That's a problem. That's a next year Project for D C. Assuming were sort of back to normal and we'll be travelling. If we keep doing our foghorn salutes A D. C. We're gonna need that on the road next year. That is a A good project for D. C. Who, By the way, Karen Chan has done a terrific work on our behalf to get this whole thing set up tonight. Hasn't been the smoothest ride entirely out of the hands of Darren Chan. But he has worked very hard to get are set up in place so that we could do these games. Even While not traveling with the Giants. Is not easy. A lot of technical know how has gone into it. So caloric is taking over and it looks to me like the Giants are indeed making a swap at the plate. Donovan Solano, who That's such a great year hit 3 30 last year destroyed left handed pitching. And he's going to face Kal Eric in a tie game 1 to 1 first pitch to Solano. He swings at it and grounds one to the hole. It short backhanded by Seeger and his throat first. Is there in time to get Solano. So that's that the Giants Get a match up. I'm sure they liked and Solano was too quick. He was out in front just hit a soft ground ball. Two down..

"Obser- John is filling in for Larry Jacobson, so Johnson big shoes to fill. But one of the things I saw when John was walking in. Here's John had some big feet. So I think he's up for the task, John. How you doing today? I'm great. Let's roll awesome. Thanks for coming out. Thanks for filling in John is definitely not a stranger here on the radio show. A lot of you guys. If you've listened to us before you've definitely heard the wisdom's the wisdom of the rainmaker here. And so I'm excited to have him here with us today as as Larry is out on out on assignment will say I think he's teaching a class in Washington DC or something we are at that time of the year where it is a New Year's resolution time over the next couple of days here, we're all going to be planning out how we're gonna lose weight how we're gonna make more money. But, you know, John one of the things I was like to talk about on the show, especially when we're kicking off the show 'cause I think a lot of people fall into this same type of a category. You know, we we've been told not, you know, as kids. It's not polite to talk about money, but that's one of the fun things that we get to do on this show is we just get to talk about money and not just what the color of the money is or what the money looks like or how to fold it into a paper airplane or make that little I on top of the pyramid. Look at everybody. But one of the things that we love to talk about on the show. And I'm so glad that we have you on here for talking about how to turn one dollars to two dollars. Right. How to generate consistent income how to generate consistent income and even specifically inside of the financial markets. One of the things I always like to kick the show off, and we really follow this theme. How it's just a e to have consistent income you have to have a consistent strategy and throughout the show. We'll talk about making money as the markets are going down. We'll talk about money making money as the marks are going up. But that's really the the key. Right. That's really the key is if we're going to have consistent income we have to have a strategy that can perform consistently no matter what the market is doing whether the market is going up, whether the market is going down, whether the market is going sideways, one of the things I would like to kick over you is just a question. I'll let you run with it and kind of drop some of the. Johnny O, golden nuggets on us. What are some of the keys that our listeners need to focus on to be able to generate consistent income inside the markets. Well, this may sound rather simplistic, but why is income support income is what drives exchange exchange. In fact, is the foundation of civilization and at the end of the day, we all need sources of income. Now, where are you going to generate that income from is pretty straightforward combat rather be further active. You can go out in exchange, your labor with an employer and produced goods and services and create income or you can be rather passive and have a plan that's decisive disciplined that allows you to participate in the capital markets, and we believe here at Online Trading Academy and prior trading radio, specifically that your money can work a lot harder for you. But the real reason we all need income. And it's not SimpliSafe. Is that trade is the foundation of civilization? And that's what's very very important. And regardless if we are gonna focus on passive income are more active ways to produce income. It's pretty obvious. Given the rates have been flation the cost of living. You know, giving the aging boomer situation with over ten thousand baby boomers day. Retiring that their primary source of income eventually is going to go away. And we're all going to be forced to live out of our wealth bucket. Our retirement bucket either voluntarily or involuntarily that day's gonna come for all of us thought avoidable. So we might as well figure out a solution. And let's face it. Ryan we all need to get started earlier not later because the day of reckoning is in front of all us. There's no way to avoid it. Yeah. The best day to plant a tree is yesterday. Right. Well, we can't do anything about yesterday. But we can sure make sure we plant that tree. Get that nest egg gro in today. And one of the words that you you you threw out there. For a minute and a half or so ago who was the word civilization you were talking about trading as kind of that foul as a foundational piece in civilization. And I I just love that thought. Because one of the things that I always tell students coming out to one of my half day. Classes is is people have been trading successfully for thousands and thousands of years, whether they're they're trading rice into rice market, whether they're trading cattle, whether they're trading goats, whether they're trading precious stones with it, no matter what people have been trading and doing it successfully for thousands of thousands of years, and it's always been it's always ties back to very very basic simple principles. And we say, basic and simple. But that doesn't mean it's necessarily easy to execute because thousands of years ago people struggled with it and some people did well, and even today some people struggle with it and some people do well. But the thing I always like to point out is there wasn't a a fancy software that people used back then and and there isn't necessarily it's not needed. Is. It doesn't make things easier. It makes things easy, but it's not necessarily needed right now. I guess the point I'm trying to get at in. Here is one of the things. My golf coach said back in back in high school. I was trying to make the golf team. I was a terrible golfer is just a good thing that very few people tried out for it. But one of the things he said, you know, it's not the it's not the arrow it's the Indian. Meaning it's not the software. It's the trader it's the skill that the individual has no matter what we're trading. It's the skill. The person hasn't been able to execute it. And that's very very true inside of the markets. Now, we have softwares and different things that help us now. But so often we rely on on a piece of a guy to do the work for us when it really just boils down to buying low and selling high early any market condition. It's all about buying low and selling high, even if you're shorting, which is making money as the markets are going down, you're still buying low and selling high you're just doing it in a different in a different order, but John you pricey this big stack of tickets right here. These tickets are for half day class. And what are we what we usually do at this point in time? I know it's been maybe a month or so Cincinnati John here. But one of the things I always like to do is. I always like to ask my co host if it's okay if we give away let's say ten of. These passes. What did you say ten? Well, how about we do twenty? We'll do we'll do to caller. It's to our to our ten callers. Let me tell you what you're going to get with these passes. Because right now, we have a half day class up in your area and at the half day classes, where you're going to see exactly what it takes to really analyze the markets and be able to determine where you could be buying and where you could be selling. Now, the half day classes about three hours long, but we described as the half day class, but your investment in this. If you went instead of these passes is going to be three hours of your of your time. And in just a second you're gonna have a chance to win a set. So if you are.

"John one of the things I'm curious about is. I know you've done a ton. That's a measure of weight, not a measure of quantity necessarily. But I know you've done a large number of these free half day classes you've worked with a number of students out of the seminars. In fact, you know, you go back to the to the really origin of Online Trading Academy a couple of decades ago. What are some of the what are some of the situations, or what are some of the outcomes examples of people that you could kind of share with our financial radio family out there as far as somebody who took the OT methodology from start to finish. Wow. That you're right. I in January you got a bunch of January will be my twenty th year. You're with a company, and I've seen so many people come through our doors. And the bottom line is. We literally have a track record as documented transgression of literally transforming people's lives. We've had people come in here from all walks of life and in all shapes and sizes. But universally they all come to the party because they're in some pain, and their pain threshold is kinda relative to where they are. You know, you know, given what's going on in their life from the from the airline pilot who just went through, you know, a catastrophic event of a major, bankruptcy and he lost his retirement. We've had people come in here. That that have had situations where their retirement vehicle was halved in value. With stock market volatility situations, we've had people come in here that have that have gone through serious marital problems, including divorce, and then we've had others who've come in here where their job has been pulled out from under them because they are a victim of what is generally called, by communists, creative destruction. Because technology has shall we say moved there cheese. So we've had all kinds of people come through our doors over the last twenty years. I think the universe of what's interesting Ryan is that when I first started with Online Trading Academy. Maybe five percent of our enrollment. Was female today as well. North of forty five percent of our enrollment is female, and I think eventually it's probably going to be sixty percent female. I think the American woman is taking on a new responsibility in the American Home because of the internet, and because she's at a chapter of your life or technology enables her to be productive. I think the average American female is becoming the chief financial officer of the American Home, and that's been quite a shift. So we've seen all kinds of people come through here. I think the universe so comedy nominate her is they aspire to take responsibility for their own financial affairs. And we applaud that we champion that as the place, but it's not something that's not a skill. You wanna try to learn through trial and error. It's not a skill. You wanna learn to read a book or watching some YouTube videos? This is a total immersion experience that we have created here and perfected over the last. Twenty years. Absolutely. And there's a reason why the school colors of the school of hard knocks or black and blue, you know, it is a very very tough road to hoe. And the thing we always like to say is there's no reason to feel like you need to reinvent the wheel. You know, you've been here for twenty one years it we're and we're about to turn what twenty two as a company. So we've been doing this for a long time. There's no reason like I say to go reinvent the wheel. But one of the things we can do is. We are. We are at the end of the show. We've got all these tickets left. Let's just give the rest of the let's give them all away. Let's clean up the clause. Right right now, I've got a half day classes coming up in your area, half day classes, where you're going to see exactly what it takes to really take trading and investing put it into your life and be able to generate that consistent income and really live that lifestyle that you've always wanted an deserve a right now, we've got a chance to win a.

We just got an explosive device was found at the Westchester, New York. Home of billionaire, George Soros globalist. George Soros is eighty eight years old. He is a billionaire. And of course, he is a true globalist. United States sent two warships through the Taiwan Strait in the second such operation this year as the US military increases the frequency of transits through the strategic waterway despite opposition from China, the voyage risks further heightening tensions with China, but will likely be self rule. Taiwan as a sign of support by president Donald Trump's government tensions with China. Big time as we've been reporting polio like condition that has left children in twenty two states. Paralyzed maybe more widespread now than previously announced due to inadequate testing protocols and voluntary reporting requirements the centers for disease control and prevention reported that there have been sixty two confirmed cases of this so-called polio like condition. Well, President Donald Trump tweeted that the United States will begin cutting off foreign aid to countries that have failed to stop the growing group of thousands of migrants marching its way through Mexico and to the United States border. There are about a thousand miles away. There's one seven thousand people a thousand miles away, Mr. Trump, lame Guatemala Honduras, and El Salvador for not being able to do the job or stopping people from leaving their country. Dr John Curtis online columnist dot com with us John first of all I gotta ask you. I mean, these people aren't stopping Why's it Mexico doing something about it? What George George the big it lacked the resources to do many things the other thing that people need to realize, and of course, this is an election year? We're only two weeks out from the midterms is this is a great issue for Trump and the Republicans approval ratings have just been reported as really. Among the highest approval rating since obvious presidency. Now, these flows of immigrants have been going on for the last thirty years charge. This is nothing new. What's new about? It is that this is a particularly large group. But what it really reflects is the total failed states in Central America. Parts of South America, certainly in Mexico, where these these countries have just widespread anarchy, they have gangs, essentially control the streets that it's really truly an intolerable situation for these people they can't feed their families. And the only hope they have is to come at what they call El Norte, which is to go north into the United States, which has an economy that's capable of absorbing these people. Now, the truth is okay for all those people that are anti immigration all this stuff. Is it? These folks come across the border illegally are the backbone of the unskilled workforce in the United States in every economic sector that you can imagine. So you you talk about hotels in hospitality and meat, packing and farming and the list just goes on and on of industries that hire illegals, including yes, the President Donald Trump hires illegals to really help with the maintenance of his properties, and in the construction trade. So the idea that this is now become like, a great political football forum is these flows of immigrants are not going to stop and they reflect the failed states over there. There's not gonna be any reduction in foreign aid coming from Trump. That's great, stump speech. But it's not gonna happen. Congress is the one that allocates the money, and they're not going to cut the money to these. Governments because George what they know is that if you create more mass poverty over there, you're gonna get even greater and more. Sure. Immigrants coming to the United States. But the fact is that we need these people essentially to do the unskilled labor that nobody is willing to do because the industries such this country right now that they there's no way that they can fill those positions with just the normal US population. So are you just saying let the seven thousand illegals just walk right into the United States. Of course, not. But what I'm saying is that the when they pay the coyotes, you know, to bring them across through tunnels, or whatever the breakage and defenses that go on that thousands of miles of border that that's going to continue going on. And there's nothing in Washington that can stop it. There's no immigration reform package of any kind of bipartisan package. That's going to stop the flow of illegal immigration. It's purely a function of failed states in Central America. And the fact that we have an economy that supports this kind of a labor force, and it's gonna continue to go on odd. Infinitum? This is going to be a disaster. John I just feel that something's going to happen here. A seven thousand migrants about a thousand miles away from the US border. A San Francisco judge denied Monsanto's request to Nick's a two hundred fifty million dollar award to a man who said he got cancer from roundup weed killer, but she's also slashing the band's punitive award down from two hundred and fifty million to about thirty nine billion dollars. Well, this is a bizarre story. But it's pretty darned serious. There are exploding toilets out there on the market in there being recalled about one point four million flush mate, flushing systems, sold at Home Depot are being recalled due to an exploding hazard. Just be.

"As you know, John one of the things that happen in these in these last years in our politics that the center, the swing has kind of gone away. And so there's a, there's some swing that's still there. And a lot of those people have already moved into the camp that they're in as you suggest. But the energy question is, is hugely important. An off your election. The biggest problem that Democrats have had in off your elections has been that there. Airbase does not turn out. Well, these these hearings are going to go, I think going to do nothing, but add further energy and a further sense of passion to democratic voters. A lot of women vote a female voters in the democratic base. In addition to those ones in the middle that I talked about before, who need an incentive who need motivation to turn out, they don't generally turn out. This is another thing that's going to further energize. Then in addition to the possibility that it will depress some of the Republican female turn out as you just adjust the second ago again, does it? Does it change the course of of the election? No, but it just furthers trend lines that are already pretty firmly baked in Senate Joyce fans. What does it positive that could come out of the day, if any, what are you looking for? Well, hopefully the country will get some closure. We'll be a little bit further forward towards understanding these allegations that really, that's a pretty slim hope. Right. I don't think that we'll see closure at the end of the day. Maybe we'll be a little bit further down that road. We will end today with more. Questions than we start today with almost certainly will have a sense of additional witnesses will have a sense that there needs to be a revitalised f. b. i. background process will have a sense that we're not ready to have a vote tomorrow. And this is so heavily reminiscent in so many ways and John, hi, almonds comments made me think about what happened in Alabama during the special Senate election where allegations came forward that ROY Moore, one of the candidates for that Senate seat had engaged in sexual misconduct with young women that energized voters and energized women in ways that we had never seen before in Alabama. If in fact, the Senate and the house go democratic. After this election, we'll see that clip that you played at the start of the segment of the president saying, women are angry. We'll see that played the morning after the election because it will be women and their anger at the process that goes on today that will drive voters to the polls. What's the best case scenario end of the day today for the White House, what are they hoping we'll. And a lot of people saying, if the judge cavenaugh can just hold serve, if there's no new bombshell, but go ahead with the vote and he will be confirmed. I the best case scenario for the White House is that Brad Kavanagh comes out sounding a bit like President Trump and that he's in his defense that he is saying over and over again that he did not do this that he saying and that he is while while he's pushing back against his accusers, he doesn't. He hasn't really go too far because obviously, these are still women that have been that say that they've been sexually assaulted or a rate and the you don't. He doesn't wanna be seen as attacking the victim. The problem is that even after all of this, there's going to be more accusers out there that have not been able to testify there at least four other women who aren't going to be testifying at this hearing. So I think the best case in air for Brett Cavanaugh is at the presidency this performance and says, you know what? I'm going to still stick behind this guy and even if there are more women that come out, I'm impressed enough that I'm gonna willing. I'm willing to stake my legacy and appoint him to a lifetime..
