"She I think shame blocked was just put in a bad situation I he's probably find director boof to see bad situation marvel movie after avengers third part of the beloved trilogy writing in himself. Yeah. Yeah. I got an article says John Faubert direct Armenta directing magic kingdom the he went for instead of this. Great. We all heard of that one. No know. What's We know why we know I see you chose to direct something. That's fine. Not Surprised Mommy. Movies More movies are a lot of pressure. I can't imagine having that much pressure on you to direct. Yeah. Like Sets Hen pull movie in the marvel franchise like that's scabby lot. So fine magic kingdom iron man who was not regarded as great. So I'm not surprised either. That's a point. That's a good point. He said he had a good role run in the wishes of the best. Very nice. Now, we have an answer. I. Don't think Magic Kingdom came out either what? No no no. He went and did a movie that never got released. Queen Diane. I should be okay. Anyway we'll return return back to your but I mean in. The part where like when when pepper comes home and you have him dressed him in quotation dressed up in the armor and he's giving her the background and everything now that to me, you cut out that that part like you don't need that I, mean understand tiny like eric development but it was just stupid where she realizes it just the armor and he's downstairs she like this is a new low for you. That was just like was that necessary I thought it was actually actually didn't mind that. I. Thought it was Kinda reestablishing a relationship kind reminding us where they are and that relationship also reminding us you know when she goes downstairs and sees him you know filling about remote controlling the iron man suit which again very funny Kyra reminding little. Later on in their relationship where it's not where they obviously later on in this well, actually I think this scene would it all goes to hell? No actually that's later bickering again that's showing you know, hey, were this is a relationship that's now kinda grown past the honeymoon stage which me I like that yeah you ate dinner without me you know purchasing nearly turned off and going to bed. Out Though that was fun. I got a kick out of it. You know the giant. Rabbit. was based on. It all kind of fits you know what they're doing. So I. Like the part when he has a nightmare which I know when I would've saw this back in the day, it would've Kinda irritated me, I know that's now being older..

"One. That's pretty solid I I feel like you guys should should rename your pocket since there's four of you could be a quad quad cast, and that's a whole new. Genre he had an WASCO. coast. Getting into the. Cloud Chris like. Nine Quad casts One of the things thought about I. Thought about last night. Like. Those things that you just like I reply. Tell him I should put I. Probably shouldn't tell that, but I thought about it like a significant amount of time. Quad cast is pretty good. The last factor. This is the laugh factor get like. My, jokes, none of not them land. You know most don't lend. Is Justice that's fine. Commodities. Test them out whenever anytime you will test him. I'M GONNA test about all? We'll be honest with you. You know we do have one one guy we work with John. Faubert is the biggest like courtesy laugher of all time. Great Guy to test up will. Give it to you. Those guys are the worst we're. Not Saying. He's the worst like whenever you I just want to say as the worst that's. Trying to say that guy never met don't want to. We'll. We'll try to bring him to you and you will refuse to me. You know I'm a man of integrity proved it wants approve it again but arrogant. What talking won't see him? If? He comes on here I'll close my eyes. All, do it. So but the I feel like. Those whenever you're trying to tell a joke like my my wife is not a courtesy laugher at all like if I tell a joke, it's not funny. She won't say anything. She'll just let it go, but I have. There's a couple of those guys that'll be around. You know like you find yourself in his big groups, and these guys like they think you. They want you to laugh like everything like whole milk. Here's like. Carl, why are you here? We didn't invite you, so he'll be there. Some guy and they just like laugh. At every single thing you say like you start to kind of start to try to push the limits in our like really giving him some like ours through other children I say right. Grad stuff! You got to see monkeys. Get. And they're like. Oh, fantastic! Test and his integrity. You know there's always that one guy he'll. He'll do anything to be in the group and. Is Like I'm willing to do anything I'll do anything to be friends with you got. It's totally fine. We'll look. We got to set up the match with the with the job. Rose your the worth. We gotta think of a bet. 'cause like we can't think of anything. What is as embarrassing for us?.

"One last night torchwood mine so yes and joining us. Thankfully here next up everywhere so one eighty two. You'd love her as we struggle through our horrible audio back in episode one eighty and coming back to hopefully get a much better audio quality. Welcome back the next up everywhere. Holly Mac from the five ish girls podcast how you doing. I'm doing good. We are so you're so glad you're back. Yeah yeah so everybody fingers crossed the audio holds up so far. We're doing okay but you never know how these states get. Go because skype and yeah exactly so so we. We got lucky last week with Christine. Let's see if we can make two in a row but dry but holly we're so glad to have you back because I know I know. I'm sure Jesse feels the same way. We felt horrible. That what you you know. You're doing great and we just had such horrible audio and so hopefully now. We can give you your proper. Do that you deserve. We made it through. I think harder you're being harder on us than it deserves. Charles we made it through it. Wasn't that horrible. So trust me but holly how you how you been doing these past couple of weeks. Did you happen to tune in and listen to Christine? Talk about help us talk about days. Four and excuse me three and four of Yes she awesome awesome. She did she did good. She did a fine job where you know. Obviously very happy but It's it's great. We feel very blessed. I think that we get to talk about this with with people like you and Christine and And I'm sure Jesse. Being tortured guy is has been pretty happy with our discussions for the past several weeks. I have I've really enjoyed it and you know I I liked the ending more than I remember liking it i. It's kind of funny. I was more disappointed in day three than I remember right and I remember liking the end of day. Five I I remember being very very unhappy with the ending and this time while I don't love it I understood it and enjoyed it a lot. Maybe because of our discussion we kind of helped get you to hopefully reevaluates and things. Maybe maybe so. How how. What was your general reaction to re watching day five? I completely forgot one of the things that happened towards the end and I was like. Oh that's right I mean I kinda remembered liking it and then coming back and rewatching could. It's been awhile since I've watched day. Five is just like this sets it up. And what's going to happen from here on out? Is it just GONNA be one and res or is it going to be the under torchwood or is Jack Holly? Come back without jumping too far ahead of its they kinda wrapped up in a nice little bowl if they would've decided not to continue on and do Miracle Day and then just go right into the big finish sure they were thinking you know especially recipe. Davies was with thinking. I don't know torch what's going to be back and so this was probably written as a well. You know this could be the finale. You not knowing if they were going to be back. I know that I've got here. I got some notes about that and my Trivia section which I'll save for a little bit later but a little more information about that but But I have to think that Russell t davies. It was kind of keeping that in perspective that well. Maybe there's a chance that may not come back and so this kind of sort of Services and ending although it's not exactly the ending we wanted and Turns out it wasn't the ending after because we got we did get the new our you know. I WANNA see the new world as a miracle day we did get miracle so that's sort of gave us another ending to Torchwood at least on a little more upbeat ending than this one. That's for sure all right so So obviously this is written by Russell t Davies Director Euros. Lyn Fifth episode from Torchwood series. Three in two thousand nine starring as we whittle the cast down further. John Barrowman is Captain Jack. Harkness and Eve myles as Gwen Cooper and with Chi Chi Owen Is Sort of not really not really wanted to be a torchwood member but sort of a torchwood member as reese Williams so but so I you know we. We've talked a lot we've talked about how serious this is. Jesse any general thoughts before we get into our main discussion. You WanNA cover or so. I just want to anything. You want to address right off the top. Yeah I think they stuck the landing. I think that you know. We've talked many times through this discussion in the poker analogy right. They were all in and I. I don't think Russell Ty- David's cheated us. I think he gave. He led all the hard story lines to a very a very definitive ending. I don't want to call it a satisfying ending right But I think a definitive ending an ending that Pays off. He doesn't cheat the audience. He doesn't cheat the characters And like I said I. I'm not happy with the ending because I'm always gonNA WANNA happy ending right. Do you have to chime in on this exactly but I I I think it did. I think he served the story in the viewers. Well okay that's fair How about you And he initial thoughts before we get into our main discussion I have to be with Jesse I mean the ending ident fall flat it it went out and set it in -ccomplish what it was going what. Russell had set out to do. I think the the I felt that that you know Russell you know like I said it's it's obviously. I don't think this is the ending that any of US wanted but with Russell obviously being at least with Steven Moffat co-creator of Jack Harkness. I have to think this is the story. He wanted to tell whether we were satisfied with it or not and so he probably felt that at least you know. He got the chance to tell the story he wanted to get out there. And now the question is obviously as we find out with a Miracle Day that you know obviously he continues that story but But I have to think that he wanted to at least get the at least this particular story of Jack's Told before the end and the question is now I think now well is it satisfying enough and you know for me. Personally you know. It wasn't satisfying enough but But you know in thankfully John Barrowman Fortunate enough to reprise Captain Jack and Dr. Who and In recently Dr. Who Series twelve and other torchwood audios and so You know it. It's not exactly the the The send-off and for the team and there's always still a chance that we could see them again possibly in the future all right so I do have a little bit of Trivia before we get started originally the final shot of the episode of Day Five. Apparently we're supposed to be To feature a computer screen reading the words Torchwood Status Colon terminated referring to the end of all torchwood operations in the UK by the end of the miniseries but apparently Russell t davies took this out at a very late stage because he didn't want to give the impression that the series had been canceled and even though he knew it might. So I think at this point maybe even even Rtd Russell Russell t davies. He didn't even know that the if the show was going to come back or not so but he kind of probably WANNA leave a little hope for fans so all right have four topics I wanNA talk about. I've shared them with holly but because I wanted to give her a heads up and topping number one I didn't give her my little theme I don't really have a theme this week but I do have some cute topic. Titles I like I like so topic number one. I WANNA call. Hey teachers leave them. Kids alone in this is going to refer to the quote unquote inoculations and also want to talk about from furbish. John Faubert shares rather Uncomfortable decision about win faced with the the fear of losing his family his kids and so Highly secure our wonderful special guest companion Let's start with you. I if you don't mind Jesse so Any ladies first so thoughts about the inoculation You know the the the they're they're big plan to cover up the fact that. Hey we're going to take all your kids and we're going to say that well he doesn't accusations mom. Maybe they just you know. They had a bad reaction. Knee died whoops so nice way to try to sugarcoated thinking. A lot of parents are kind of continent onto the fact that they're trying to feed us align of something you really don't trust and haven't been to the truthful before with what's been going on and then chew with the Digital one forty one even before they decide. We're GONNA group up all the kids. They were like. Hey they're not. They're not telling us the truth there. Line and this is almost like everybody's big deep state fear conspiracy lead right out there. I think you know won't government is going to come and take my kids. Yeah yeah and I mean I loved reenters like nope. You guys are staying put. I don't care if they suspect session. Ugo Ugo around up our next door neighbors. I'll continue keeping care of the kids free of charge and of course her husband's like wait a minute. She's hush if we could be making Tin Tin. Quit a kid right and I don't care about the money we're keeping these kids safe so good on her. Plus I think she was doing it for you until two considering that the sacrifice that I mean. She doesn't know right now but sacrifice that he made and telling her. Hey he kids safe. Whatever you do I would personally charge more than that because kids can go through a lot of food so I gotTA cover that overhead. Jesse how about you what are you? What are your initial thoughts on on the? You know the government's inoculation Story and In the up of all those kids you know it. It was so methodically. Evil Right They were doing all this Your plan they're executing the plan The US Army is Arrogantly taking over Which we will assume we'll get to later. How that kind of you know You can talk about. I just I just I. Just the the prime minister right later says see that we were lucky. Not Lucky that we ended up not losing the children. Lucky we have someone to blame I do want to talk more about the third segment but okay good. Yes I I really Janas brother-in-law I think I am I. What was his name the her husband. Johnny Johnny Johnny Johnny up actually stepping up at the end. I doesn't that listen to this time. Remember how did he did cover on that little you know. Yengo and reentry kind of going off by themselves. The neighborhood kids like attack. The surveillance car is calling a files and all this and so now he. Yeah he kind of steps up again and basically leaves this neighborhood revolt against the The military yeah and I. I assume that They had threatened. Did they make that comment? That the military had been threatened if they don't If they don't follow rules their children will be Yeah Yeah they said you said you know. There will still be effective like having retribution on their families. Yeah Roth and so. There's there's just not a lot of things to be proud of how these people are behaving And and I don't you know I remember very strongly for reassures final. Yeah I remember that. Final Act of defiance or desperation and I remember being saddened and I knew once we saw what that thirty one was in. I saw the little box go. I bet you that's a handgun right. Bridget request for him a weapon. And and so. So what did YOU Since you brought it up yeah..

"So the three people who who picked up their first Their their their first acting Oscar ended pretty long droughts there That that that was good had to seep Nano grumpy cat in the mimimum. That's pretty fucked up. It's a pretty fucked. I thought I thought Billy I wish mazing job great job I did I. I feel like whenever she sings live. She's able to sing. Live very very well and At actually you know what it Kinda Kinda WanNa see what she dozens bond track now not this in particular point as anything to do with the bond track but I I do think that if that I mean obviously is good I think great. If it's good I think it will be nominated next year or in Twenty Wani. It'd be nominated next year when the when the Oscars happen So I'm kind of feeling like she might be back at the next award awards singing that song unless it's just a Sam Smith level stinker fucking one. I know that still to this day is the most awkward moment I've seen at the all at the Oscars outside of Lalo and Moonlight Lady Gaga. Had this unsure choose introduced by Joe Biden comes out on stage. It was all these the survivors and they held hands is beautiful moment. And then Sam Smith Wins and if there was like Oh right sure we we got to sing in in Dover when you hear a song sometimes you just gotTa let it play Jack. He knows I thought ruled was the The twenty air the twelve different People singing frozen. I can't tell if you're serious. No I generally liked it a lot. I genuinely thought it was really cool. All that actually was. That was the moment when I thought parasite had a chance. I'm serious because they were. They were acknowledging knowledge. That foreign versions of Hollywood movies exist okay. Talent behind in in it almost felt like it was kind of this acceptance in in embrace of the fact that like it's it's GonNa get more global and that was when I was kind of like I you know. Maybe there've been something like that before but that was the first time I'd ever really seen like or thought about. Oh yeah like other people probably play Elsa and they probably Sing Elsa and it's weird because like I didn't didn't obviously like frozen to them much was that into the unknown. I think his name of Song. I don't like that song very much. But seeing like Dina Menzel singing and seeing these twelve other her obviously fantastic singer singing in their native languages was so fucking cool. I thought I thought that was really interesting thing to do in the Oscars this year. I can't believe I spaced John. Sam Smith Wedding. Yeah I I think billy I will be back so yeah it was. You know the thing thing I really liked overall about the broadcast is your what I'd like to know hosting. Even though I think the way better the jokes missed for the most part I I I liked how they let people talk they did I. I like honestly like I like that. I think a lot of people like that because they one one give him the stage. Let them let people talk in. I enjoyed it so you know maybe the though host thing is more conducive to that they don't have to have to have screen time to to billy crystal doing whatever he does surprise. Billy Crystal was out there. Actually with Steve Martin. Yeah yeah overall. I think it was the weakest year for Song I think it was one of the weaker years for animated film. The Toy story for when didn't surprise me but at the same time I think yeah it was more because you know there wasn't another pixar. Removing the category and I don't think there was another movie in the category that I would've I would've slit their that. Thought had the buzz to get there so I didn't like okay how to train your dragon. Being this animation is great but like the film itself is whatever I did like Klaus a lot and I did like I lost my body a lot so I think they're both sorry. Go ahead no and I'm just adding on apparently missing link was okay to I didn't love me but the very cool. The best animated shorts really really good hair love. Yeah I wish I could win again. Remember that one shot off one last year shot up ever knew tune in by the way to who are livestream. We had a pretty ridiculous livestream. That's Youngstown Bob. Yeah one of our one of one of our producers really fucked up. Because he's the great. He did a lot of good shift and he'd fucked up. He works out so hard worked very hard any he added recap and watch livestream. Basically it was myself. Ken Jak commenter. Sir John Faubert we have never had Marcia Muslim plenty of Barcelona no motion. He's done ad read source before we all had nominee in each category and at the end of the night the best picture category rolled around the two people below lowest amount of wins Basically faced off for one last challenge in the loser would have to drink. A milkshake and the ingredients were voted on twitter throughout the night and some Nasty Shit Sauerkraut Mint Jelly. McDonald's Flare Fish Sandwich was sitting in a blender for three hours hours. Since you're the first three items that went in were Seltzer Guard period and then the filet of fish in the in the Seltzer broke everything down like digestive acid so just sitting there like dissolving solving everything else around it just it was so vile with three audience in and it only got worse even put the lid on it because it reeked out the entire room but anyway basically he came out at one point. There was a question beginning I was like I don't think I've got five win. That's bizarre because I had an upset win then I had another like I feel like I'm too far ahead. Then he he pops back out later and he goes. I made a mistake. Jeff is really really really has one less tied tea and at that point the way we were going to split up best picture if you came in last you had the second worst the second todd service picture at that point which was parasite meaning. I would've got nineteen seventy but we kind of knew at that moment. Parasite was GONNA win meeting. Whoever came in second alas was going to have drink the milk shake and then he rolled back out and said never mind I was right? You guys are tied so we forced him to join in on the pool and we pull names out of a hat. We draw withdrawn out within twenty minutes and then ended up being youngstown. Bob Since one thousand nine hundred did not win best picture. He had to drink this milkshake and he. He drank the milkshake which by the way was so thick that he tilted it. Yep at a forty five degree angle and it was just slugging down the side of the glass skip hip getting trump to the filleted fish. That is comment as he puked was that was spicy. Tough not tough dumb question. Yeah I got in my notes Shirley. How do you pronounce your last name? There on the broadcast CASS. was saying there. Maybe that's what it is. They also said TYCO. Y T T Y T T kept saying and Steve Martin big time butchered. Cynthia Revolt Servicios Cynthia. Irv and then you know when someone says a name wrong and you're speaking after that person and you say it correctly because and you're not doing eight to be a dictator like all right. We gotta make sure this person here is say the name because Chris Rock. Yeah how about that. Cynthia Cynthia Haribo is here tonight. Very clearly correcting being Steve Martin bit. That was so I don't know maybe maybe it isn't. Maybe they're saying that wrong as well. It's actually Shirley Lee Hans Dizzy. Mt Han Soo Israel last name pronounced. I didn't know that I did not know that folks that was good. I I enjoy I. I enjoy watching the Scher's it's it's a fun show. It's you know I still feel like the grammys has a more overall enjoyable able broadcast to me. Just because of the You know obviously the musical performances in whatever but there's just something about the pop and circumstance that is it is it's just ridiculous addictiveness right. It's just a different world and it's fun to watch. It's fun to think about all that stuff coming together and the other thing is the opening number. I thought that was a little weird but I kinda liked it. I liked it too. I thought it was interesting but no one else. I think you didn't like it. I think fights in motion leg very much. I thought it was really cool but what was what did that was weird about it. Is it just you know they. They almost have have a big reluctance to I guess making the broadcast a little more contemporary. Like they want to keep that era prestige. I think they tried mishmashing it in You know kind of Janelle monae doing a montage touch different songs. But like you know in there. You have obviously Mr Rogers and then some other songs that are basically like they sound like old timey. Hollywood music which you know if if you're going to have that pomp and circumstance I get but it certainly isn't like the most I I think about like who didn't she like. Ask Brie Larson to to sing. Like put the MIC interface. And the brewers like did it and she just made a face like what is this went down the road game you to everyone but I think it was kind of cool but it was like like the background dancers role dressed like people who from movies that got snubbed. So you had people dress people from dolemite. People like from Queens Slim. People goal like from midsummer us like all these other very very good movies. That didn't get live at the Oscars guide a little bit reputation. And that which I think is really cool Bongino set a record tied a record with Walt Disney most wins in one single Oscars for take that you dead bitch but just an overall awesome awesome time very great year for movies. I want to say that. I think this is an awesome fucking year for movies. I hope you guys if you gamble in the Oscars Obama gambling blog. I'm GONNA flex for a minute because the shadow coworker of ours. Career add spitting chocolates. You know biggest fucking hockey puck gas in the world who were going to have on one day when he visits. He's in New York. We'll talk some more movies with them. That's for sure going to happen. But he puts them input in Hickey from fivethirtyeight originally now he's Award Numb Lock Award stacked great site. He's long had this piece about calling saying they have the votes which finally came to fruition this year that the actors finally have the reins to vote their movies in as supposed to being an award. Best picture that is backed mostly by producers etc.. And this proved we've put together gambling clung five of the top six picks. We had it so you tried to make some money off the the Oscars say this is a deep cut reference. But Kim Jack Do do you remember in Avon Galleon when they showed shots of Cla a secret group with like the monolith television producers having the secret Gavino conversations. That's how I picture like the academy. It's like the big. The big reminds things are among the vendors..

"Saw that knowing glance from Jack and he was like agreeing with it just feels so good when he agrees with you. It feels so good Jack. I just need you to know that when you agree with what we saying like I look at you now and then. I'm thinking if you're if you're doing that squinty eyes is or that puzzled. Look I'm like fuck but if you're giving me the whole head nod I'm feeling really good about myself and you don't care if you agree with everything we're just a bunch of idiots anyway. I don't feel like we're a bunch idiots. No we're not. This is not a podcast video. This is a podcast of learned. People you keep that confidence girl learned you. You keep that confidence girl. Is that a real word. It's learning yeah. I was also quoting stepbrothers doctors. There is a word looking for validation reverse that take real quick. Blessed House also learned doctors. Hard D. at the end it's brothers such a great movie promotions. A Hard D- again all right anyway. There are some teams James in this country. We left for dead okay. The we kind of buried them in Madison Wisconsin Man. You has had shovels bear in Michigan for showing up and just getting their asses kicked we buried Darren and then we bear it in further when they lost again to Penn State even though they look better Texas we bear them multiple times. I've moved on for my Sam. L. Anger is great. Take I moved on from Texas is a good team take but there are teams. Auburn Auburn is a team that I have just taken to shit on all year and I've enjoyed it also been right been auburn all year. Told you what they were going to do. Still think they're going to do it. However there are these three teams and a little more that we've kind of moved on from Michigan Again Texas Auburn? They can play spoiler vacant. Be College Football playoff records over the next couple of weeks and that is what sets college football apart. Michigan can't win a national title but Michigan Depot House Day from winning a national title. And the fact that like we talked about the loss of Penn state but we also talk about whatever happened at halftime locker room and whatever whatever happens shape patterson and everything else without offense it started clicking like they look like a completely different team. They're going to go and they're going to destroy Michigan State this weekend Michigan state absolutely stinks. So Oh Jim Harbaugh is having this team play the way that we thought they would play going into the season I. I'm walking back to Michigan. They were dead. 'CAUSE obviously they're not I still don't think Texas is a very good football team. I think Michigan is a good football team. It took them a little bit to click. That's fine with Texas but listen listen. Texas is six and three in Texas over the last S. three weeks of the season Texas plays well. Excuse me Belarus play Oklahoma and then Baylor plays Texas at home home if Baylor even pull off a miracle and beat Tech Oklahoma this weekend. We'll talk about that game in a minute. Do you know what their collective sneakers would be like. If Texas of all teams comes in with Baylor on the brink of the College Football playoff and undefeated. They would absolutely ship themselves. Texas can wreck Baylor season and then and then if they beat Baylor and get the tiebreaker and sneak into the big swells champ game they can circle back around and rewrite Oklahoma they can Texas can wreck the big twelve title hopes and obviously as someone from the Great State of Texas. It's okay stay pretty good state. You're absolutely right about the playing the spoiler and how people in Waco will feel versus people in Austin because there is a mentality. I mean. AGGIES hate saying this to but there isn't a mental especially when I was growing up that Texas is the team in the state right like you have this almost little brother mentality whether you want to admit it or not. The University of Texas holds themselves that way they carry themselves. That way. Austin is not very far away from Waco so that whole stadium is going to be in orange and white and if we baylor somehow does beat. Oh you which. I don't think he's going to happen but if they do you. That will be a scene in Texas because Waco has always had that mentality as well. I don't care what anybody says. Every team in the state of Texas at some point has felt like like the little brother to the University of Texas and those people will get weirdest. Fuck down there actually kind of want to go to that game if that happens I well I mean so and then weird in Waco brand you like it. Allburn cannot win the national title now. They can't but they can. They can fuck up two rivals. Georgia's number four. They they did it a couple of years ago. Georgia's thought they did it for a second. They thought they did. They beat them both. And then the two teams ended up playing for national title but that with losses already couldn't happen this time. Two Thousand Seventeen Auburn beat Georgia Alabama back to back and in those two teams play for a national title. This time Georgia's already lost. Their margin of error is gone so as Alabama's Auburn gets Georgia and Obama to close this season out and boil boy as much as I don't like them. They can't win a national title but they can ruin. They can ruin Georgia season and ruin Alabama and that sets cows football apart. It really does 'cause you think in the playoffs right there. Everything's in front of me. All I do is go down to Auburn Shit. Auburn beat me. That is special and I don't think Auburn can do put but they Michigan Texas teams that we haven't been too high on can shape this playoff. Yeah when you look at those three teams again like I don't think Texas is a bad bad football team by any stretch of the imagination. But there's those three teams have talent to do it. It's not like it's asking some like crazy school to come in and play spoiler like we've seen in the past these are teams. They have the talent to beat them. Now I don't think that Texas is going to play spoiler because I don't think is going to handle Baylor is going to Baylor in Texas is also going to be Baylor and ooh Oh you in. Texas will play for the Conference Championship. I don't hate that scenario. Well you should 'cause I'm telling you what's about to happen. So do you think that if Baylor loses to ou they are definitely going to lose Texas. I think right now Baylor is going to lose both games. I don't know if they're linked linked him. I just think they're gonNA lose both games. Okay number one. I don't think machines beating Ohio State Number One bay was not Baylor is just surviving is just an absolute fluke. There nine to know they've got to three overtime. Time wins over. Five loss teams their best win Kansas State. I Know Kansas State beat Oklahoma but Kansas State's got three losses. Their best win isn't very good. They've been surviving against shitty teams. They beat the worst West Virginia team in a generation by three Baylor's just living on borrowed time right now. It seems like they play down to their competition. which is knocking? They play way at the level of their competition because they are at the level of their competition. They're not very good. I mean we're GonNa see it unfold. I think ten points is a lot but I know we'll get to that. We'll get to that. We'll get to that so if okay if you had to put money on one of those three teams playing spoiler getting only pick one who do you think is most likely Michigan Auburn or Texas Texas awesome. ALLBURN GETS Georgia. I and I am nervous about that game as far as I think George is GonNa win. And I got Georgia's my lock of the week But what Auburn does scare me. I mean they're dangerous. Animal at Jordan Hare Stadium just are Michigan can't beat Ohio State. I admissions better than we thought they were. They can't can't beat Ohio state because nobody can beat Ohio state that is my take their and Texas can absolutely beat Baylor and they they lost Oklahoma by seven Oklahoma's vulnerable if they circle back around gets the big twelve title game through the back door. They can fuck it up for Oklahoma. That's the reason I asked you that. It's because it's crazy. If you said who is the worst team of those three I would say Texas. But they have the best chance to play spoiler absolutely about the conferences than actually says about those teams. And we haven't talked about here. is you still got to kind of hold out. That Minnesota could spoil everything and not even spoiled because playoff contender themselves. But can eight this week. Minnesota beat Minnesota beat Iowa and then beat Wisconsin to finish a year and they in the regular season twelve now and then they lived Ohio state by nine seven they have an. I don't know that that happens. I don't know that can happen but if that did happen. It's a hell of a resume. They have a compelling case to being the top four a very compelling what happens around it but yeah because they would then have more wins more quality wins and a better loss than even Alabama Scott or just as good allows Alabama Scott some point loss to Osu on a neutral field. We'll be better than a home lost to Lsu that'd be crazy. I don't think you can happen but listen. I didn't think they can beat Penn state. Either I didn't. I didn't think they'd be nano either. So don't rule them out to throw in this whole thing crazy. The only thing I would say about that would be. I could not see the committee wrote because that would be one four most likely the Ohio State Minnesota again in the semifinals. And why would you just play in the big ten championship again. I just yeah I understand although I don't know what knocked Lsu had a number one what would not you number one. In that scenario. Why wouldn't be too then? The scenario stance. Okay mm-hmm. Yeah it's just it's just crazy it's crazy. It's called for college football. Isn't it fun. It's so much fun. People don't like college football stink. They're the worst they. They are the absolute worst way. Twelve is upon us. Somebody just try to beat the door down the did. That's been a problem here on the show before before we get to week twelve. Let me bring in my good friend Marty. Must because we're GONNA make a little money Mardi Broadway you're talking to a Broadway play. Well that's that's a fish out of water so John non-fatal Burg big-play guy. I'm also a play Gal. I wouldn't say big one but I enjoy a play here and there marty never been to one. We had an extra ticket. We force them to go with us. Did he like it so he did but he took him a little bit too warm up to the idea. He wouldn't clap for a while because he said they didn't deserve it. It was very strange. That's a discerning plug league or like that. There's a strong move. He also wanted to start claps. It was very funny. I never thought that John Faubert and I would be taking Mardi much to a Broadway play but here we are here. We are indeed. So let's do the college football payoff. Take everybody got rice. Everybody's GONNA pay. Hey.

"S. dot com. Get your hair going again. It was fun. I enjoyed it as well so so we're talking about. Moses Badra to get get into the meat of the matter last time we sorta laid out you kind of just following this a stream of these patriarchs these people that God raised up and so we're at the point now in the book of Exodus if you're follow along with us and we've noted that God it usually uses the last people that you would think that from our perspective to lead you know his will wheel that that that's what you keep seeing and it always seems like almost an impossible situation and Moses certainly was that because he was as we described last time he was basically marked to die you know along with all the other Hebrew baby floating downloading down the river and any winds up being the man you know is the journey to get there is pretty and credit Hollywood. If Hollywood did this. That's L. listing. I know and it's funny they did. They did it member. It was Batman Played Moses but I don't know the Christian Bale but it was so do you ever see now. I never watched it was was always a little weird about those kind of movies because it just kind of like an Noah thing when they had the kind of liked it. It was Kinda Comical Aniko but the rock monsters and I don't know I see from steady see where the get those ideas and you know we've all with Hollywood. We get it you know but what I do like. is they try you know. I think a lot of people in religion tried to get everything exactly right and I think a lot of news. Stories are basically giving the overall narrative of what happened. You get the principles because in the end if you miss how it relates to Jesus send us. Will you pretty much missed it anyway. Why sit there and argue an hour about what the town was that he will from here but you see that a lot in religion? Get the morning you know. I'm like if you're at your chart and you're doing like a nine weeks series on Paul's missionary journeys. Ah I think we've missed the point here you know you better get in what he was sharing instead of the exact location and the tools geography Agatha lesson but I'm telling you say that you would think this common sense. Hey Go visit a local church near you and see the kind of stuff that you you hear and you wonder why they're not growing doing so. Moses in exodus three basically gets to the burning Bush was just kind of where we left off last and he gets a direct communique from the Almighty in a Bush. That's on fire. They won't burn up which you think about everything. They're fixing to go through. I thought about this later. After we talked about that it is basically representing you know when you see a bliss that should be burning up and and it does and you know what they were fixed to go through which you have every every reason on what's fixing to happen to quit and give up because this is fixed and get tough but you don't you know. I just thought about that. How that applies in life that that God is able to give you some some kind of visual image like that where this should destroy you but if you're with with me you will survive. I think that's a subconscious you know. We read it as a story but if you actually saw that you start thinking about that you know he probably thought about about that light well. What does it mean why why's God representing himself in a Bush that doesn't burn up that should be destroyed Roy but he has the ability when you think something is over. You think it's going to be destroy. He has the power but who survive. I think it's a good subliminal subconscious mess it is and from Moses perspective thing about this. He's eighty years old. You know he had been a young man. You know zero to forty raised in Pharaoh's house. He had an altercation that we talked about last time he winds up in the desert for forty years. Thank him basically any chance he had any sort of normal life or back doc was in Egypt. That's gone forty years in the desert you being here day. You're seventy four. If all of a sudden this would happen now to you. You'd already lived your whole life and all of a sudden guys. Oh wait a minute. I got I got something. You hadn't even thought about about a task that's right so just the age factor of where he's at so he sees this and basically he's told by God. You're going to go back to Egypt and you're. GonNa Leave my people out Moses who by now you know one time. He seemed like he says says about himself. He could never speak very well but the balances earlier he wa- Hebrew says he was a young man he was strong in character and conviction was able to speak but he's he's lost all that and so now he does need more to do it he said. Can you send somebody else because it's kind of like you. Were talking about it. He didn't want to do it himself and so the Bible says says the Lord was angered it. It May Guy Mad at him. He said wait a minute now. Is this in chapter three. We're talking about when he said Yeah. We and we said I am who right. I am who I am which is basically God saying you know when you say who Emma Light. We're a proper now you know the name. Moses and he's like I'm I'm a noun and if you think about it and now not a verb and I have no time constraint all right. I'm an adjective adjective also and when you think about that grammatically on right he was saying. I'm like a living organism awesome you know I 'cause I am who I am this same thing of Jesus. Tell Him I am well and things about John has always been invisible. There's you know instill is in the sense of people see and communicate but there's no actually. CNN which I thought was interesting that that verse in Hebrews needed read that I think so I mean because you know if you're like me I kinda now. I'm not a real smart. Fella people listen and see thank you start reading exodus. What what is you get bogged down in the details and the Hittites and the you know presides all this but when you go to me with the presides hides maybe I'm not sure that's an official group of people that was a but you go to Hebrews which I think mirrors the exodus exodus experience and the law the giving of the law and then that beyond the shadow to Jesus coming. Would you agree with that and you have this in chapter what you call this the hall of faith the account the Hebrews Hall of fame so you basically they sum up Moses just in like four verses which Jio makes you think how you'll be summed up at the end if you could even make the book right but it does have a line that is also a me. It starts off in Twenty Three A. C. Twenty twenty four it said Hebrews Loan Twenty four or twenty five it says he chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than than to enjoy the pleasures of CNN for short time which which you kind of describe that line which goes in I mean I think that's something noble to be shared right but then against twenty seven he says by faith left Egypt not fearing the king's anger. He persevered because he saw him who is invisible. I'm in now. That is a statement when you think about how he got through all this will what was his secret. What are their life lessons that that we can see really that describes all of us and what we have in Jesus. We are literally walking around on earth. Trusting something that is invisible which sounds crazy to the world but us is just standard operating procedure seen. Did you do see the qualities you can see them and John the Potts said when you see people and they're known for their love for God and one another. He said that's when you see God. That's how you see right. You see him by people's live. That's try lighter. The world's sought of year we can show them. God but we better be on our game and we better watch our mouth in. What's what we do as we walk by. Faith goes one MISSTEP and they're gonNA say Nah. Now I mean we had the life is his a statement miss on memory add the man and the quail you know that what he was looking at it not like. Oh this is cool. The bread fallen one of phenomenon on he was like now this God and ultimately that would be related to Jesus remember I can't Theon that example when of Moses and it said Godwin pleased with them but it said they drank from the water the the water that came out of the Rock. I'm not sure where that story is an exodus but but it says an an is it I ten or something I missed him. It says that rock that accompanied them was Christ right and I also so you remember that and I think it's Joe Four. He became flesh. He was with them or yeah and you remember John Faubert Jesus talking and they were having this debate over trust him Moses roses or him and Jesus is like you're reading the scriptures thinking you're GonNa get eternal life and you're missing the parts about me. Yep You know you can't get eternal off without me but then he said an interesting thing he said Moses the one putting your trust in he wrote about me yeah which is one of the things they're like what thousands of years ago Jackie Moses wrote about you well. You're you're someth member in John. Eight whenever he would they would tell me Abraham which of course predates Moses and they were like we know who Abraham is. We're children children of Abraham. But who are you and that's when Jesus said before Abraham was born. I am which goes back to that same context that burning he made a statement. I am the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob was. There's been a long time since they had been on the earth and most people say were God would have said I was there. God maintenance now right but God was telling Moses I that Bush. I'm just letting you know I am their God. They're not dad. That's right there on the other side and their they physically have died but they're alive which is two thousand years later. Jesus uses the exact same language language his out is he said to him he's he's not the god of the dead but of the living sorry him they all are alive. Yeah that's why you're looking sea and Moses standing standing up here on the Mount of transfiguration a body some kind of body or glorified body any larger standard Tago Ziza's thousands of years look after they supposedly we're on the Earth you sat one of my gods showed him then and there are glowing those the apostle they're looking Peter Namli whoa right but that's also why this is the most the most powerful organism own planet earth the church because men when Jesus said you you know it. It's like the spirit you you see it affects but you compared it to the win and and basically yeah the wind is invisible sublime you can look at it and you know the wind's blown because the trees are moving right yep but that's the same way the Holy Spirit of God works. You see the fix but you it's invisible you..

"The site of you sickens me spink facts right. Now can't wait to see you next week. He's marnie mush walker. That was the college football playoff. Thank you marty mush. Josh that unfortunate thirteen minutes of having him in my life wasn't necessarily. I love mardi much i love. I mean he's just like he's like the dog that your parents bought you when you were a kid and this dog grew up with you and you knew the dog really was he's not a smart dog and he's not an overly reliable reliable dog shits places. He tears this shit up but he's your dog your dog. That's what martin rushes. That's a tough analogy. It's fantastic. I know it's fantastic but it's like that's i mean he's here to defend himself so our all that defend himself and you don't care that you guys actually hate each other no we don't actually it's like have using the movie stepbrothers. What do i look like some sort of jackass augustine stepbrothers and all that she can get missing. We don't have movies and mississippi hitting getting district karate. That's separate that we just become best friends yup yup. That's the way i see you best friends at burnden no ohka yes <hes> marty. Did you see that mardy played our son me and john faubert son at disneyland off. He was our our son. It was a weird because i think if you john file we did have a son. He'd look a lot like marnie mush. No <hes> <hes> actually don't wanna think about that becoming a reality. I'm just saying but that was our gambling segment college football playoff is is that a brilliant name no. There's no way that that hasn't been thought of before but i'm gonna give you credit for it. I'm sorry jack. Is there a college football payoff out there. I'll look it up right now. I love it. Don't you know you know what i'm sensitive about. My naming skills already sensitive unnecessary roughness people that don't like unnecessary a surplus. They'll shut the fuck up. It's just you know what else this logo is. A little goes gray so hot near sofa cannot. I'm gonna start sweating so before we get out here. We still got a lot of show left. How about some news. No let's not do news. Let's get to the news at the end who wins each conference. Let's go in twitter nuts out there. This is chopping block. It's very i feel like this is chuck well. Here's a shocking yours. Is yours chaki to oh. There's not a lot of variants in these conferences officers right now. Yeah college football's a chalky sport though a lot of variance in these conference last year. It stayed chalky pretty much all ear. I'm gonna get my division winners. You guys don't have to but i'll add some non-charter my division winners so we all know you're the smartest you can do. Your divisions of you want the a._c._c. I think <hes> clemson wins the atlantic virginia wednesday coastal and clemson listen for the fifth straight year. When's the atlantic coast conference and i don't think if we got one hundred if we got a thousand college football fans in here i don't know if anybody's voting against them clemson yeah absolutely not and if they are. They're just doing it because they want headline. They wanna be a contrarian. Yeah i mean we're all in agreement clemson right into this the discussion the big ten. I don't like that we all agree here but i don't think so i on one we over on the overall winner. I think we do we. I mean i think michigan gets over the hump and beats ohio state this year. They have a senior quarterback skill players out the yin yang. I think can be very good. I think michigan winds east. We disagree on the who's going to be in the big ten championship though i don't like this oh i think the iowa hawkeyes. Tau watched it how much that hurt you. How big jack that was great knows. How big of a man can be an it. Shows you put aside is your bias to to give.

"That producers and visual effects people but <hes> John Faubert was actually really really generous with his time he spoke with us for probably I don't know forty five minutes or an hour or something on that day which is pretty rare for a director especially of a project of this size to take that time timeout and tell us about this movie but I yeah I grabbed about twenty five minutes or so of the most interesting stuff from his conversation with us and you'll hear like Q._N._A.. Portion of the conversation where we talk all about the movie abby and his relationship with the original film and why he wants to make this movie and all sorts of good stuff so yeah here is Jon Favreau so now we're doing character design and R._N._D.. And felt environments <hes> so the work is more exploratory of them P._C.. At this point and servicing the pipeline and then and then it will become about refining it makes look beautiful as we go on zeroing in on it and I made sure that we have lots some lots of time to do that in in our schedule because that's where I think I don't think people understand especially people <hes> you know when when you get to the further up the up the ranks that just because you can change things later sometimes you you you're you're taking the rest of compromising quality and I find that what the flexibility of digital production has done is given opportunity for people to <hes> postponed being decisive used to be if you if you built a big Amtrak dinosaur you had to make sure you got that shop right framed right and you've worked and you can fix some things in the editing room like jaws laws you can you could if your genius you work around things like Spielberg good but for the most part you and it makes the happen where visual effects became more and more convincing and they were more people doing them at a price came down a lot of times. You'll see on the set people say okay here in such a shoot a plate we'll figure it out and that has figured out later and then there's somebody sees that doesn't like it and wants to change it. Your it becomes very <hes> it becomes a challenge and so part of this experiment is to see if we really lock in early as animated films do and spend all of our time refining and really <hes> but which isn't to say that we don't <hes> that we don't <hes> examined story because really what animation going back to wall and the process that that he innovated in Pixar Disney animation all the successful animation houses now deal. Is You have a story department and teams of people who are really challenging the story before you ever commit to anything digital and so that's something we really wanted to emulate here and plus. We were working working on this story that works really well so so just to answer the question we the more we looked at it and what we challenge the story. There were certain things that needed <hes> that needed addressing to make it feel more appropriate to this medium but as far as characters the story two themes the music we really felt that people are very connected to the original and so hopefully if you are a fan of the original look at this and say oh it's this I feel like I saw lion king just like when you see the stage play you still feel connection to the animated film <hes> but if you really look closely realize we're actually taking a lot of liberties with it and we're even changing things slightly with scenes and structure and the.

"Fifty doctors who surrendered a medical license were able to practice in another state, a licensed surrender can spare a doctor that time expense in reputational harm that might come with formal charges and a hearing before a state medical board. Typically, it comes with no restriction on practicing. Elsewhere. What's more voluntary? Licensed surrenders can mean the public. It's no access to information about what happened John Farber at the Milwaukee journal sentinel was part of this investigative team. John would you find? Had trouble with multiple states story that we did was on a doctor who. Some surgical mishaps in California. So editors license there. Then went to Louisiana had some surgical mishaps. There surrendered his license air went to New York. New York found out about some of the problems of California they decided to look into it. He decided rather than do that he surrendered his license there. And then he moved to Ohio where he's been allowed to practice free and clear with no restrictions on his license when you surrender your license. Do you admit wrongdoing or no? You know? That's a great question. No. You don't have to you can essentially just say, it's it's sort of the equivalent of like, a no contest plea where you are not contesting the facts or but you're not admitting them either. And it's a it's a weird quirk in the world of medicine sort of the world of medicine and law, it the doctors will do it sometimes because it's much cheaper. And they know they're going to probably lose the licensing anyway, and rather than pay an attorney or hundreds of dollars an hour to fight the thing, and you know, knowing what the outcome is likely to be they just go. How about if I just surrender and move on and state, medical boards will look at that and go, you know, what this is cheaper for us and less cumbersome. So we're going to let you do it. The problem is that the state that the doctor surrenders in only has jurisdiction over the doctor in that state. They don't have any say about what he does. When he goes elsewhere. Now, what happens in that status is supposed to go into a central data, Bank and other states are supposed to. Doubt about it. But they don't always do that. Or if they do they don't always act in the same way that the state that you know. Told the doctor he needs to surrender his license acted speaking. With John Farber investigative medical reporter at the Milwaukee journal sentinel part of the USA today network. He's written a fascinating piece with his colleagues entitled malpractice mistakes and misconduct. Doctors who surrender medical license in one state still practice in others. How many of these doctors are out there? We don't know for sure we found in the case of the surrendered licenses. We found more than two hundred fifty earlier in the year. We did a story on all kinds of discipline. You know, like revocations surrenders suspensions there we found about five hundred and. We're, but there's probably there's probably a lot more that we don't know about that. We weren't able to find we were actually able to do this story because we worked with a a private firm that collects data on doctors company known as truth MD. They collect this data from thousands of sources over the country, and then provided to pay service that is used by hospitals and insurance companies whatever so they work with us, and we were able to using their. Database were able to find quite a few of them. But. You know, it's. I should say it's a small percentage of doctors to I mean, there's close to a million doctors in the country. And so it's not like everybody is doing that stuff. Everybody's actors running running from state to state just small percentage, but a small percentage of doctors are believed to cause a lot of problems. There's been some research suggests suggesting that one percent of doctors are responsible for about a third of all malpractice cases. So I answer your question. I don't know how many, but we've we found hundreds. Yeah. So when you surrender a license in a particular state is that a permanent surrender could it be temporary? If you were to negotiate something like that. Yeah. It is usually permanent. In fact, the wording of the surrenders that we found in addition to giving up your license. They say that you can't reapply for okay? And so it is supposed to be permanent. And most of the cases, I don't know of anybody who surrendered a license, and then was able to get it back. But you know, if you have the time, and and you want to, you know, fight these things I suppose anything is possible. Thanks, john. John Faubert at the Milwaukee journal sentinel..

"Eight eighty eight ask Leo the phone number one Garrett, Chico California. Hello garrett. Hey, Leo, long long longtime listener first-time caller release you. Thank you. Nice to nice to talk to you. Find like. Back in the screensaver. Dave. I've got a I've got a pixel two, and it takes a mazing photos and amazing video and I can go on to my photo site, obviously in download video. But is there a way to connect my phone directly to computer and do a download of a higher quality video. So that I can get the best quality possible. Yes. So all Android phones, can do this you need to get a USB cable, and you need to get the on some machines like a MacIntosh and you get the appropriate software on windows. I think you don't even need special software. It'll just mount as a drive a USB drive, and you can see it. What will happen when you plug the USB drive, you need one that has obviously type c connection for the pixel, and then whatever your computer needs possibly type a maybe a type c you connect the two and the pixel will at that point. You're connected to USB. Would you like me to be and it gives you a choice of Mt. P media transport protocol or PTP photo transfer protocol, and you actually either one would work for you media would let you actually browse the folders on the pixel you'd have to find that movies folder. And then you could just copy the file right out of it PTP would make the phone look like a camera to your PC. And then whatever happens when you connect a camera your PC. Would happen. Then that's something that you chose or you choose in the settings. But maybe a photos app would would load up or maybe just windows explorer, and you copy the files that way. So all you really need is a cable. Correct. Quality that way. What would be the original quality? I'm not. I know what you're talking about with Google photos, in some cases, they reduced the quality. Remember you bought a pixel and one of the deals that came with the pixel is that you would get unlimited full quality pictures on Google photos. So I'm not sure it'll be better quality. I don't know. I mean, for sure the pictures that it's uploading from pixel phones are full quality. They're not squeezed, much, frankly, even the pictures I upload from non pixel phones. Look almost identical to the originals if not exactly the same. They don't squeeze them that much. Videos. I'm not sure, but I suspect that would include video at any event. This is a good technique to have if you have a MAC you often have to download something called the Android file transfer manager is a free program. You download it doesn't work. Very well. But it basically makes the MAC able to see the the Android device on windows. It should just show up. Okay. Thanks for listening. Appreciate it. Thanks. Thanks for calling. Now that you know, the way come on back anytime, Gary. You know, it's nice one of the things. Google did MRs unheard of. That's all I commend him for that the with the release of the pixel three phone their new their new smartphone. They've got really amazing new comp we call. It computational photographic capabilities. The camera, and I'm when I say camera. I don't mean the hardware camera. I mean the software camera app on the pixel three can do some amazing things. And in fact, it's based on a separate processing chip that. They've put in the pixel phones. That can do these computations and stuff. They're doing is just kind of mind boggling, they have a night shot mode that takes many many many images and merges of some slow as a quarter of a second. Would you really couldn't handhold without blur? But they take it. And then they take faster shutter speeds, and they combine them looking for the best quality in each image. And then combine it do a single image. That's remarkable. They have portrait modes I think that even better than what Apple's doing with a portrait mode. Lots of very interesting techniques. They have a top shot mode that will take pictures the minute. You raise the phone, even before you press, the shutter, and then after you press, the shutter it'll look through the images it took the twenty or thirty images at took pick the best one and say, we think this is the best one where everybody's eyes are open and Joe is smiling, which he never does. And then you could say, yeah, that's the best you can scroll through them and say, no, no. Oh, this is the best one pick it things. Like that. The reason I commend Google is many of these features are actually going to be down ported to the older pixel phone the pixel two phone. Maybe I don't know how far down they're going to go. But I think probably just the pixel two because it also has that special digital signal processing chip the DSP chip that pixel three to do all this stuff. So many of these features. I don't know if it'll be as good, but many of these features will be migrated down to the pixel phone as well. So you're going to get a little camera upgrade the night shot is not out yet. People have seen it should be coming out soon. Very soon. So not all that's another thing. The cameras going to get better. As they release new software. So very impressive. They have a very funny. Yeah. Scooter Xs reminded me, and I'll put a Lincoln this show notes to very funny top shot. Add the Google showed their event of all the bad pictures. You know, the the, and it's it's a problem with camera phones because by the time, we get out flying it up, and you push the shudder. You know, there's a dog is left the picture or the. The people's eyes are closed there. Everybody's walking away. So it's really nice this top shot idea that you know. I honestly the picture. You took is in the best one you go back four frames. And there's a better one. It's a great ad. We'll put a link in the show. That's thank you. Rex to that top shot commercial wine to John Faubert, California. Hello, john. Hi, thank you very much. How are you? I'm well. How are you? Good. Thanks. I've heard you talk about this before. But. Remembering as well. As I said, not a cruise, and I wonder all I'm using no wifi destroy your program. Yeah. I put on the PM. Well, that's a really interesting question when you're on a communal wifi as you will be on that cruise or a hotel or a coffee shop, you're all on the same network. Everybody is using that WI fi nowadays I have to say people are getting better cruise ships and hotels and coffee shops or getting better about making it more secure. So it's not maybe as risky as it used to be. But there is this potential risk of of you know, somebody else on that network. Taking advantage of the fact that you're on the same network, and and you know, kind of trying to snoop on you. I think it's pretty safe. I went on a cruise with a friend of mine who's a bit of a hacker Randal Schwartz and at the on the first day of the cruise. He he went around all of us in the group and showed us our e Email password and said, you know. I can see that. And the reason was in those days Email wasn't generally encrypted when you logged into your Email. It was set and clear, and he could see it. Now. Those days are gone if you use G mail or almost any Email package that passwords encrypted. So that isn't going to happen. I wouldn't worry about it. I really wouldn't. Plus, a VPN is going to slow you down enough that live streams of audio and video may not work. Very well. So if you're in your banking or buying something on Amazon, that's encrypted too. I.

"They they didn't they didn't let her install any software man that's john faubert california's next leila port the tech job sorry hi john good good afternoon leo how're you very well how are you i'm good thanks thanks for taking my call thank you for calling i love your program my question is i am interested in getting internet down to my electric operated security gate which is a couple of hundred feet from my house and my internet or my wife i is a mobile hotspot by at and t i don't have any landlines into the house and even if i did they didn't they wouldn't provide internet on them so yes so normally wi fi goes about one hundred fifty feet and that at and t my fight doesn't even go that far no yeah so you're really to get wi fi out to the gate and you know that the gate has capability of being opened that way right yeah it does i checked with the manufacturer it's gotta learning motive you sink it so it accesses the the wifi and then they have an app that i put on my phone that i so you can also i would like to get a camera doorbell down there sir people want to get into and i'm not home or and and i was thinking power line wifi but the brief investigation i did seem to indicate i needed to use a cable to connect the two actually that would that if so you have of course you have power out there do you have a plug out there i do that yeah okay that would that might be the best way to do it so the way power light power line uses the wires that are already there when you built that gate they had to put electricity out there and that you can actually double up on that power put data on top of it it's not super fast but more than fast enough to do that cam camera might be a little challenging but maybe not so powerline networking has gotten a lot better than it used to be it is a probably about half the speed of ethernet cable more than enough to control the gate and probably enough to to to use a doorbell and a camera and that would be the way to do it so what you do and.
