The tally by Johns Hopkins University shows as of Saturday morning, more than 566,000 people in the United States have died of confirmed covert 19 infections. In India, where the toll has topped 175,000, the United Kingdom, Italy, Russia and France have all seen more than 100,000 deaths. And World Health Organization chief Dr Ted Ross at Nam Cabrera says says the numbers continue to rise at worrying rates globally. The number of new cases per week has nearly doubled over the past two months. This is approaching the highest rate of infection that we have seen so far during the pandemic infection rates are rising in the U. S. Is well director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr Rachel Wolinsky. Our seven day average is up to 69,500. Nearly 70,000 new cases per day and, along with that emergency room visits and hospital admissions. But Wolinsky adds, vaccination efforts are making significant progress. More than one third of the U. S population has received at least one dose and more than 1/5 of the population is fully vaccinated. Lipsky says. Relax prevention efforts such as Mask mandates are one reason for the rising rates and another is the continued spread of highly transmissible variance more than Feed a 70% more transmissible, which makes the race to stop the transmission even more challenging and threatens to overwhelm our health care system again in parts of this country. I have never used the word closure since then and so. I consider my job about answering questions. These families have and hopefully helping them to shift their reality and maybe be able to move forward if someone is never identified. Where do there remains go if we have unidentified we will bury them at county expense. We will not cremate them are we. Try not to There are situations where cremation is the most financially feasible. But we certainly try. Because we don't know what's going to be around the corner i mean. Dna was a huge revelation for us right in the late nineties and we thought could there be another something coming around the corner and sure enough here comes forensic genealogy so and that requires a completely different dna profile than what is in code us so you have to have another sample to submit. So we don't know what's going to be around the corner. We try to keep all of our options open on our unidentified. It sounds like that's a way for you to keep hope in the system that there may be an answer someday. Oh i always have hope. I always have hope. Because i'm just waiting for that phone call. "Late last year. The family of wendy stevens finally learned what happened after decades of not knowing in nineteen eighty. Three at the age of fourteen. Wendy ran away from home in denver colorado. A year later wendy's remains were recovered in south king county but for more than thirty five years. The identity of those remains was a mystery when he was only known as bones ten. She had been murdered by a notorious serial killer. Her identity was eventually discovered through the work. Of dr catherine taylor. She's a forensic anthropologist for king county and the state of washington. I spoke with dr taylor about her work and how she was finally able to learn the identity of wendy stevens. We've been trying for years and years to get her. We've tried everything we had her. Dna was running bones. Tens dna was running the dentals were in. We check missing persons sites. And fortunately there's a new technology that has come along. And that's france genealogy and king county employed a forensic genealogist through Dna dough which is a fabulous fabulous group and they spent hours and hours Working the dna and building the family trees and narrowed it down to wendy stevens. And we've vincent dna From from mom in and and got the dna formation. that it was her. And dr taylor. Wendy stevens is just. One of several people have died in king county over the years and we don't know who they are. How does that happen. Does it happen well. Not everybody dies with identification on them so we have quite a few that have died with absolutely. No i d they may not have fingerprints in the system and they may not have been reported missing and you know. are transient population. That we have quite a few unidentified. That are likely transient. And i suspect that the families just don't realize that they're actually missing because maybe they don't have a lot of contact with them Maybe the only hear from them once a year maybe families also oftentimes think old..

"World, war one where expectations have been high for a newer in greater world and completely dashed by the horrors of war. In this instance, we have a real irony here. The sixteen seventeen year olds are the most adept at using technology to create a new level of sociability and yet what's been so done cushions, you know for hundreds of years you still need a hug you know you still need that personal eye contact. The bonding with real souls in you know in many instances, it's months as in store the other day there was a mom there with a middle schooler waiting on the pharmacy line and the girl said Gee I. Really Miss on School Mom said I think we'd better take your temperature again. But the truth is they really are missing it. Yeah. I mean is the father of three teenage sons. One's in college, and he's on campus and they have hybrid classes. The other two are in middle school and high school, and they're completely online. They're not able to go to school in person and it's rough I. mean they're very isolated. It's not easy being stuck in your room all day. Looking at a screen. And trying to focus on your studies. It's not a fake sick day where your home and hanging out with your friends and family watching TV. It's it's not what it is at all. Yeah. In Andrew you know the thing that I think is really important too is that there's a percentage of our population whether it's young or older in the workforce, their school or their workplace is actually the safest place. It's a place where the home is not the safe place and we're in a period right now where we have percentages of our. Kids in the places they are the most threatened or worried about, and they have that absence of friendship, the absence of supervision and mentorship at needs to be around them, and that's a big issue we're facing. If I could jump in again all of this coming at a time when who do they count up to make them feel safe the marks, the our leaders us get you know whether again at school officials or local government officials or church leaders is very low. So all right. We're experiencing this WHO's got our back right now. And I can't even in state enough we have to remind people that safety matters we have to convey that their health matters just as much as business owners. So do they as a person and just this I was reminded to continue to share with my own staff, the importance of maintaining their own health, their own safety if not feeling well, stay home, it's okay to take care of yourself, and so you know I think that's an important part as leaders in this poll clearly shows our employees and our school kids. Believe safety is paramount and there is enough being done. And you know it was amazing that you know over fifty percent. I think of adults wouldn't know what to do in the case of an emergency and there was some high percentage that wouldn't know how to report an issue and these are real issues that clearly businesses and schools were not talking enough about we're not doing enough about. So can you tell me one or some of the numbers that stood out to you the most it's the fifty, nine percent of. Adults that felt the data themselves if someone close to them were likely to experience a violent critical incident or experience self harm or contract cope a nineteen. I. Think that's astounding. It was sixty four percent of sixteen seventeen year olds menu teenagers minor older but you don't want your kids feeling that way. No, that's really a bleak number. Yep. In I think if anything, it's the overwhelming percentage more than seventy percent said where they feel the safest is in their home. That's a pretty isolated society of that's the place we feel and we know society really thrives on connectedness and the place we feel safe is at home. That's what stood out for me. So what should the American public take from this survey? It's not as easy as any one thing. But what are some of the key takeaways that the American people should take from this and is there anything that's really actionable coming out of this? Yeah. So I think number one, we have to have a conversation. Around what safety means and it's important to us in our culture in our workplaces and in our schools, it shouldn't be. Secondary to everything else that goes on. So I think number one. If we're going to be a thriving economy, if we're going to be a thriving school going to be a thriving community, we have to safety and mental health at the top of the list, and we have to quit education preparedness in procedures in place and conduct the right level of training. That goes with that so that people do what to do that. They do feel safe in the presence of risk were never going to be totally one hundred percent risk-free but helping people feel certain about what to do and how to do it and when to do it is important and I think third is especially in our schools we have to reward. Positive behavior, we have to reward safe behavior as part of our school systems John Do. You think we can talk about issues of safety in this country anymore without them being politicized at the moment. No, but we have to, and this is cute. This is one of the messages that comes out of this the I cannot be confusion at the top there has to be clear direction, but that also means. At. School boards and city councils and churches there has to be a policy, but that's sort of part of the conversation. But is GP points out within those schools in those institutions there has to be a sense of restoring confidence and that means, Hey, if you've got to do the gun drill over thirty times before it's drilled into your head than we have to do it, you know we have to do public safety measures you can't be daydreaming anymore Heimlich maneuver. Don't be yawning looking.

I'll retract next week, but I'm saying right now it's done and over with they're going to be tied on the saints Saints at 3 to individual. But of course, I got Tampa Bay winning this game so that they should be within that division Dallas and Philly. It was the three-way. It was a three-way Tire starting today in that division in the East Village at least the winner of the NFC least. How many wins do you think they have when they go to the playoffs this year? I'm saying the winner of the NFC East I was going to say 7 I was going to say 7th. I think it was seven last year. I think it'll be seven again like to do something about that. They can't allow that way..

So I'm not sure how he got approved. He would have to prove it before I would have to take it. I don't I think it's I think like if I'm the sun's I take that chance. I mean, I like Ricky Rubio, but he's never shown me that he's that guy. Not the guy he was and Devin Booker in the bath. Yeah, but that's not going to be enough. They're not going to do it. Even three John Wall and Rubio other stuff included beyond the stuff included. It sounds got a lot of ReBoot. You know do some they could definitely you know, you got cuz the sun's got killed who bring coming back you got. Oh boy falling out for the sons. You want them and everybody that they're watching the Paul pick your podcast repeat. Thank you Johnny. We got we so into it. We forgot what we was at but your boy ball it out cam cam on the sun's Kim Johnson. You're going to get a lot of pizza you get a lot of Pizza in more comfortable more than Justin Jackson is yeah. He's getting more comfortable. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. I mean just off and just in Jacksonville in the You know, they were Dallas down there. He's going to get another love and then in that more by his side was going to get better I think and when you see that you don't have to have him standing out on the outside. I mean the boys going to make the same money. Danny Green made same careers, like some of our Carolina boys like this appointment center Pros, man. Oh, yeah without a doubt. I mean and a lot of those are the ones that left early that's the ones that you know, yeah all gone, you know like Championship TiVo do anything wrong? They they owned a bit. They on the bench helping Roy or no know even the last one. Yeah, then you doing I think it said over the years like open up Marcus Paige off. Now we going to be legit NBA player. And he's over there in Brooklyn. He's over there at Brooklyn good role players. Don't roleplay Caris LeVert deadly thoughts on this one. I'm ready to see what they can do. So yeah Clippers the bombs. They said they need to make moves Warriors. Definitely that.

"Not they got a lot of problems. You got any point Patrick Beverley. He ain't really took a defensive guy. You got Montrezl Harrell didn't show up in a boat. You got a lot of problems. You got Kawhi Leonard win a leader. You got way off P, you know, you got a lot of problems over there. There's a lot of problems. Yes. I'm thinking they got it. I'm thinking they definitely got to shake some things up. Well, I've already heard that Kawhi is already told upper management. What needs to be addressed? It was that the first thing I saw was Patrick Beverley. I mean, he's not really never been I mean, he's not really a point point guard him because he Williams disappeared. Yeah. Let me see what I mean. What happened, you know took six men in your ward this year. You did good how get your players for the same team be of physics panetiere that makes no sense that it was not for this year. It was accidental in Who else was it? I forgot who the other ones were but Montrezl around yet Clippers. Definitely I think gotta make some moves but I don't know. I think they gotta shake some things up around me. I still don't think Paul George is proven. Like I think we could name a bunch of dudes. We would take over Paul George right now. I mean I can go down a list of these guys and on average the moon Bradley Bill or Paul George who you want to take off. No. No, you don't and I saw a little trade scenario out there. What do you think about Ricky Rubio? for John Wall I mean it should be coming back this year. Let me come back to play but is he going to be? What was the average and before you go man? It's numbers out to him in jail. Yeah. Yeah thought 2010. Significant injury man you I.

"Let me tell you wouldn't you wouldn't take Zach LaVine on the Warriors with at small forward 6866. He could play small forward and you got Curry and Klay the exact and and Draymond you don't need a senate. Yeah. Like it might be fun and I already got the 4th pick, so maybe they want off on the 4th. You know saying for the Bulls they got a second in the fourth pic. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, that's probably that's true too and 1/4 pic. Hank Williams II the 4th pick and Wiggins and the Warriors is that made me less dense. Something's going something small. Definitely the Warriors in a good position man that a very good position. I got I got or or I got one for you. No, but you pick and Wiggins and you probably at those some more stuff in them John Collins for know from Atlanta 2010 Gile an 2010 guy. And once I go down to the what do you mean? What do you think once it gets? on to the Warriors team Camas 23.3 this this day is 2010 then yeah, you know, they'll take that without it will be scoring a lot. 1510 still good anybody that comes to your team is going to come down that's going on regardless, right? Zach LaVine goes their scores going to go down Bradley. They'll go says coins go down cuz play in Korea Seoul be your main to I'm saying I could definitely do a lot of things. It's a lot of things can happen on this one. The Warriors of the go position and to make some some things happen and the Hawks already got the six pic anyway, so I'm thinking for the Hawks and the Bulls it makes real sense from what it inventory. Who's to say the next. Want to trade up and swap picks the 8th for the two and Wiggins for somebody else? That was the big man for the next he's pretty good..

"Number to pick and lamelo ball for let's see. What do we what small forwards but let's put some who some good Smart Boards out there. I was going to say somebody like Bradley Bill. Does that get does that does a mellow ball of in the number two pick in Wiggins get you badly build? I'll just take mellow man. I just want to know they're going to just give me my love, but he's going to like what? Does he? Is he does he need to be played all ball or maybe playing on ball? I think he was be all fall. I need to see more of his game. But I think from what I've seen, I think he needs it talking about fitting him in with the Warriors. You would need to play all. I know that's not get. let me see somebody who's Big Y small forwards like small forwards You know what? You might be right man. Order we go for all you go for Big Man. like what about this and I've heard this floating out there does the number two pick in Wiggins get you a Joel embiid No, because he couldn't get you Ben Simmons. Ami cuz he he could definitely play small Florida Power for it. He could play off Bob Kennedy. I mean, I think one of those guys are going to get traded anyways They don't they're not gelling together. They something up now. They're on that team between them. I don't know if it's that meat or disagreements or what but you know, they may he said that they're not going to try to deal same as they're not doing so he's their guy or whatever usually when that is said, They probably on the way they ought to do it. Yeah, you know what? I'm almost thinking you might be right that they might have to. Keep that. I mean like I don't see too many big men out there. We're trading the number to pick and weekends 4 except maybe and be That's yeah, that's about it. I mean cuz I don't really see no salad small Ford out there. I mean DeMar DeRozan. Pascal siakam. Anybody get traded is the number to pick. And I got one for you does the number 2 pick? And we're going to get you exact Levine..

That'll get you over to home with brown and table a healthy human logic, then you definitely can win the championship. for logistic orders at all and you know I think I still think like Tatum and brown can also maybe use some some girl once they're still young. That's yard, but Tatum is coming home. Okay? Oh, yeah, they come back to East next year. Whose favorite out the East next year. Miami's not they're not even favorite for them off. From the Milwaukee is probably going to be favored even though they didn't even make it to the finals and got knocked out this way yarn. I was still take my any over them. And I think it's too it's really too early to pick it's really too early because we're not seeing any movies getting made. We need to see the movies get made, you know, don't get darned know routines long that's going to go along with the draft, you know, you can talk about that to go ahead and bring up the market wrap. I know you wanted to jump on that. I was looking at the they had they were saying you've moved out OV OV top in a k Obie Trice. Anthony Edwards going to the t-wolves number one once your day you think what do you think about that? I think Golden State will be happy if they take Anthony Edwards at number one. They got Golden State taking lamelo ball. And I know for a fact my Melo ball and Golden State have had like Zoom talks and stuff like that. So what's your take on your team Golden State taking the Mellow ball? I'm interested to see it. I mean you see the best pic. I think he is. Because violence is the most proven Talent. He's played Pro, right? Yeah Wiseman boozman reminds me of the guy Cleveland took it number one a few years and and hit and we didn't even know about that. We didn't yeah. Yeah, we didn't even know about him and call you ain't even hear about him until the draft came out and then they took him number one who who often we don't even know or or Garnett. We don't know they got him going when you play board games suck number three to the Hornets. I'll take it.

"State and see almost forget about them injured all year long and what they got the new draft pick. So yeah people did about LeBron last, you know, you got money so they they think he's done and over with And even though he wasn't out for a whole season that was just as long as you say LeBron LeBron last year when he got hurt, they tried to like the same city. He didn't do the interests you the most ever. So people want to just count them out, you know, I'm saying automatically cuz he got hurt like what they fail to realize he went to 8 straight finals before he got hurt. And now you know, it's like you put into some respect on his damn name though. I mean, you gotta put some respect on his name cuz ever since you left Cleveland, he's what he's brought a championship to every franchise within two years. What was Cleveland what respect is he demanded? You don't already have well given respect cuz he demands it but I mean I'm going to say like what time he goes to a gym, they win at ship and two years. That's just gotta that says a lot but but enough way right? So Chris Paul a d ROM Grand and whatever they can fill in. To win a chip next year. That's what you're saying. Yes. Now, what's your take on Brooklyn? Can they come out to East next year? Yeah, we got to see him play a season together man. We just going off road. Oh paper on paper. Even going over 20 did Willie Caris LeVert Kyrie Irving Kevin Durant. They were and they were bought they were bought. They were bothering with a team win. Kyrie Irving was they were you know, What team has to make the most like half sister what team out of all the teams that lost this last year has to really make a move. I'm thinking it's Milwaukee. I'm thinking Milwaukee has to get they gotta make some kind of emotion. Whether it's adding a piece to Otis and khris Middleton, if you get rid of the code that make you get rid of the coaches that making a move. Now they need they need to they need somebody another player. They need either third consistent scorer or they somebody better than Middleton. We got them. I got to have Houston up in there. Like the most disappointing team dude, I don't know..

Roma Chris Paul to the to the Lakers. What's your take on? A New Berlin the brown will make that happen. That's what associates around you believe are strange. Now you do know Chris Paul is over the turn the money over the next two years like thirty something forty million a year, right? But I do go. Yeah. Well that's been the problem in with that contract. but they will go out the last I heard that they told the grand that they was there willing to go in through the salary cap. I over it. Yeah, but like they get Chris Paul, you're going to have to make a trade right? I mean, you don't have to give up a lot for Chris Paul like you don't let somebody go. I don't know about the trade, but you might not get done. somebody but you still got the trade for Chris Paul are still under contract. Chris Ballinger ring about the Bronx going to get him. But what are you going to give up in a trade for Chris Paul? We know we we definitely know kuzma he's gone should be home now. So let me ask you this. Just karamba Gibran Boysen State of the one that's on his laboring. What's his name got three months. What's his name? Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, yeah, yeah. Cuz you might need his contract like he's going to opt out. You know, he's out there now. He's well, he's really he's really get his money. So if he gets his money down, you're going to have to be that contract to cuz you know, the contracts got to be kind of even for the trade like Chris Paul getting forty million a year. Just at least gotta be Lakers. He got to be giving birth least 30 days a year on a side. You.

"And it just turned out to not not be that case in reality I think to your point I think when he had to talk about transferring assets out of his ownership, although he he still retained a good. Good amount of control early assets that he was transferring because of the creative design that are attorney brought up it it. He just wasn't comfortable with that, but that's really why debt shirtsleeves to Shirtsleeves, proverb exists. That's where the challenges are is for families of wealth is if they want to avoid that wealth created and lost in the span of three generations, they really have to roll their sleeves up and and get to work with some of these other topics that I don't think this client was ready for yet. We just picked up a couple of new families locally here and there on the younger side. And One of the gentlemen after a few hours, speak with him. He said to me that he's brand new to us. We haven't even gone through any planning with him yet. We have done a lot of sophisticated. Designs yet with had discussions on issues. He's right in tune with him, but he said something that was very telling. He said you are exactly what I'm looking for. I want someone to take care of my family when I'm no longer here in the anti-trust. because. My wife has no clue. My children have no cooler all young to deal with all this stuff and I do have some good people around the, but they don't. Do you do so I need you? That's decline. We look for someone who gets it right in the beginning. Saying I get what you guys do. And he said to me in a in a conversation. He said these other two firms. I was speaking with John Do. You know them I, said yes, I, do he said? What do you do differently than they do? I say where they stop. We Begin. He goes perfect answer, but it was a true answer. Yeah, because you could go out and find anyone to manage your money, you could find a good law firm to create. For you find a good CPA to help you with taxes. That's not what we do. We are the next layer above that and people don't know this structure exists, but when they when they figure it out, they say the savings. This client said I need someone like you because I need. Some of my family can trust because in a go through life, and not know who to ask questions to I. Need you in this loop and look at this guy's not even forty old yet. Yeah! Wow, that's and that's fantastic. Because he's starting off with a solid foundation and you guys know. My history talked about it on the podcast off the PODCAST, but I'm a behaviorist I I was paid for. Over a decade to observe describe behavior and learn very quickly to understand people's motives and actions, and so forth and I'm not going to judge the gentleman that you're talking about that it didn't work out with, but the behaviors don't show that he's concerned about his children, and that's one thing that I'm taking away from this. He may love them, but to to not be concerned about what would happen if he pass and they had to deal with that sixty million, forget the sixty million. How about the relationship between the son and daughter I want to? To An everybody on this podcast currently a father, so I think that we would all agree. We want the relationships between our children to be harmonious and to be solid and stronger, and to put your children's. Since there is no other air in this picture, put your children in a position like that where they then have to.

Thought about would be about But I know I think your last name sage so I can see why it plays in any way you can't really change it now but I would definitely say that may be something yet to explain through or just make sure that people know that. Like your last name is sage. Because when I think of sage old I give like old wisdom they kind of like Gandolf you know but I know your last name sage so it kind of gives it away. People don't know you though okay. Cool so with the promotion of your show. Yes I guess on or mainly just you and your coast so the success stories is the one where we're interviewing. Yeah the vacation rental machine. That's where it's just me and my co-host got Does the wall. We can tackle whichever one you want to tackle the vacation vacation rental title machine. I With this one. Does you and John Do you. How does it what happens after the episodes published so it goes out on youtube we haven't been uploading now into facebook. That one's just youtube right now. Okay just anything else an email. This sends ends or yes. We send we summary like a weekly show and it's just all the episodes Though the one interview that we do and then in two episodes for vacation machine and we compile that into one email on Al Assad like a weekend Sunday or I send those out on Fridays off. Right okay cool cool. What's the open rates on those emails? average thirty forty a cool And those that buyer list is non buyer list or this is everybody. That's coming through the facebook group that signs up got everyone so forty thirty percent So with me with distributions how I look at it look at three levels you have level one tier one distribution which is like your spotify by Stitcher pod kicker which I found out not on All these different places that you want to make sure you're on so first thing I would say is doing audit on for distribution purposes do an audit and make sure your everywhere and. I'll send you a checklist on where you should be. So you'll know. Hey I'm here I'm not like just very simple. You just go to the website. Look so number level one distribution I would say Do An audit on that body gets fell today. Eh Distribution wise for all podcast directories number two is level. It's like own your own media so on platforms like your website. Your email list your FACEBOOK page facebook group a posting in the group. It'll be I post the success stories. PODCAST and the group. Gotcha so there are. There are getting fed some kind of content. Okay so facebook group is getting stuff Anything else on facebook at all. No that. That's that's really the only one. Okay I would definitely What I've been doing lately instant working is is I will post it on my personal page and will tag people who I know this was this episode will help so five clients? If I have fans I have friends family or disown influencers answer who I just met and I think is good for him. I will tag him in that post. Hey this is for you guys in all four or five people and people don't get that people they never seen that before so it's something new I would definitely test out especially if you know specific people in your audience who need to listen to this episode. Because fact of the matter is people will not people don't unless you like their number one PODCAST they won't go searching for your latest episode and see like I've got to listen to this It's just people are just busy so if you tag them and you give them a personal recommendation. That's one thing I've seen really work really well at the end of the day to if this is a high ticket of course you only need three or four people to to buy to where it's like now we're now we're doing making some traction here so if you tag those people and they buy the message and they like it then they're just going it'd be closer to a sale So number one for for tier number two. I'd say optimize the like even take your old episodes that you've done. And and and and.
