"This, too may be challenged in the federal courts. Uh, and it was on Friday that the White House press secretary Jen Psaki said she wouldn't rule out the possibility of legislative Discussions with Congress in the future on these very issues, President Biden has exercised his executive power actually more aggressive. And his predecessors. That's how he's governing. He's governing by executive order. He's not governing through the legislative process. All of this could be simply undone by the next president. If it's president of the You know, the Republican Party, But you know what? What has happened here is that President Biden And his aides have often compared the ambition of his economic program to the agendas of Franklin Roosevelt and the New Deal deal and Lyndon Johnson and the Great Society. But those two presidents enjoyed big Democratic majorities in both houses of Congress. That's the big difference here. That's the reason why, you know we're seeing this governing by executive where you can't do it legislatively because there just aren't the numbers there in the House or in the Senate. All right. Something will watch on. Appreciate the update, and also the perspective on Cuba as well. Talk to you later this week. Thank you, Brian. Have a great day as well. "Welcome back to Alabama's Morning news. My name is John Mount's. I'm sitting in for JT today hosting the show and we are going to go. Normally we go to Washington, D. C and I don't know. John, Are you still in D? C. Are you in Brussels already? Yes, I am still in D. C. I leave this afternoon John for Geneva, Switzerland. Why Geneva Because that's where the Biden Putin summit will take place so we can talk throughout the week our regular time, But tomorrow I'll be talking to you from Geneva, so we'll have to figure out the time difference. What is that, like 67 hours. It's plus six hours, so actually, it's plus seven for you. It's plus sticks from Washington, D. C plus seven for Birmingham, Alabama. So, uh, for me, it will be the afternoon when I speak with you not not in the morning. John Decker, of course, is joining us from Fox News while you were with Fox News value with gray media, which is our local TV station, Fox six is our affiliate. So John, tell us what tell us what the president is going to be doing. I guess he's not just on vacation, right? No, This is not a pleasure trip. This is reengaging with, uh, certain allies in which relations were afraid so to speak. John over the course of the Trump presidency, one ally in particular Germany. You may recall the body language when German Chancellor Angela Merkel met with President Trump during the course of his presidency Clearly They did not get along. In fact, one of the first invitations extended to one of these European leaders was to German Chancellor Angela Merkel. She'll come to the White House next month. But now President Biden is in Brussels. He's meeting with our NATO allies there this after the G seven meeting over the weekend, and then Tomorrow night, he'll travel from Brussels to Geneva. I'll already be on the ground when he arrived there and the meeting taking place between President Putin and President Biden will take place on Wednesday of this week. And John You used the phrase get along, But I have to say I don't know that necessarily. We want, of course, a good relationship with all of our All of the other countries around the world. But sometimes I wonder if in getting along we're giving too much, especially to some of these countries that are pretty much adversaries. I don't know that I would want our president to get along with the leaders of places like North Korea in places like that. So do you think President Biden is going to at least kind of represent our interests? Not just, you know. Go along, get along to go along. Oh, absolutely, You know, not none of the countries I think, with the exception of Russia that President Biden is meeting with in terms of their leadership would be considered. An adversary. Russia, of course, is an adversary. North Korea is an adversary. So what we're talking about when I say get along is get along with our our allies, our traditional allies. But the goal of the president is to represent American interests America's interests abroad. That's always the goal when the president is President Donald J. Trump or whether the president is Joseph R. Biden Jr. That's their goal. That's what we hope that the president does when they travel and represent the United States abroad. That's what President Biden says he's doing during the course of this trip, and so much of this really, uh, is getting, uh, to get to know some of these leaders a little bit better, uh, not so much substance so far coming out of these meetings, But I think that that the big test will be on Wednesday when when Biden meets with Putin In Geneva. Do you think that President Biden is going to press Putin on the hacking that's been happening in America recently out of his country all absolutely John. That's the number one issue on of. I think President Biden's agenda. After all, we saw the the hack on the JBs food plants the hack on the colonial pipeline. Both of those attacks emanating from Russia, maybe tacitly approved by the Russian government. So I think that's one of the first orders of business. What President Biden says he wants is a I think a normal quote unquote normal relationship with Russia and you know if that means A term that was used in the cold War. Detente, uh than that, I think suits the administration. Quite fine. You know, there are a lot of challenges on our plate right now. As a country. Uh, And one of those challenges, you know, is China. The other challenges North Korea. I think President Biden doesn't want to have to worry about Russia all that much. I think that's one of the goals. Is to sort of establish rules of the road going forward between the US and Russia over the course of the next four years. At the same time, I wonder how much Russia is going to test the waters to see how much because they knew exactly how far they can push President Trump. It wasn't very far Do you think that they're going to kind of test to see just how much they can nudge Biden and and, you know, maybe get a little bit more of their their way more more so than they were able to get with President Trump. Well, I think that's one of the messages of that that President Biden needs to deliver is that we have, you know, cyberwarfare capabilities of our own. And if you attack us We'll turn around and attack you. It's just that simple. And so I think that that message hopefully will be delivered not only by President Biden, but the secretary of state, the national security adviser When President Biden meets one on one with President Putin. It will not actually be one on one in the room will be Sergey Lavrov. He's the foreign minister for Russia, but also The US Secretary of state, Tony Blinken will be in the room to interpreters as well. And I think that those will be the direct messages delivered to President Putin by the Biden administration based upon everything that I've been told by very senior administration officials Cyber Cold War..

"T and joining us now. John Decker, our Fox correspondent at the White House, a couple of things going on. We can talk about John. Welcome in Hey, Thanks a lot. Good to be with you today. Help you're doing well, today I am. Thanks, You too. So next year, let's talk about the Supreme Court. Now it's gonna be hearing a couple of oral arguments. On the cases involving immigration and border security. What's the address here? What's the meat of the subject matter? Yeah, We're talking about two cases that would be heard by the U. S. Supreme Court early next year. Ah, one cases called Trump versus Sierra Club that concerns a challenge to the President's constitutional authority. When he's transferring military funds to help towards the build the border wall with Mexico At issue J. T. In this particular case is how much discretion court should have. When the president is trying to repurpose ah lot of money to a half billion dollars in military funds in the face of what the president has described as being a national emergency. That national emergency, he says, is the influx of immigrants and illegal drugs along the US Mexico border. So that case would be heard by the full complement of the U. S. Supreme Court. All nine justices Early next year. So another one is about the asylum seekers. I guess. Apparently the scent back is being questioned now before they get to go through their appeals process to stay. Yeah, That's right. So the Trump Administration is appealing Lower court ruling. The Trump Administration has lost both the district court level in the appellate court level in cases which have invalidated the so called remain in Mexico program. For non Mexican asylum seekers, mostly from Central America. So these two cases involved you know really critical issues for the president. Immigration border security, the Supreme Court announcing yesterday that they would take each of these cases up early next year. Both of these cases the president, the Justice Department has lost. At the appellate court levels, But now it's up to the Supreme Court, which will ultimately have their say. Well, apparently switching gears. Now it looks like there's gonna be a bit of a change when it comes to the debate coming up on Thursday. By the way, we will carry that beginning at seven. The debate actually starts at eight o'clock our time, but there's gonna be a little mute button that the commission, I guess. Is going to have control over the moderator is not going to be in charge of that mute button because my next question was, who's going to control the microphone to the moderator that wants to be so aggressive? Uh, well, I know you're being facetious when you asked me that question, but it really, but not really. Okay. I obviously you know, you know the answer to that. So as far as the first element to your question, the debate commission has, you know they looked at what happened in debate number one. They saw how Biden and Trump We're interrupting each other, so they figured the best way to do it. It's just Viewed the person who does not have the floor for the two minutes while they give their answer to a question turned the microphones back up for the back and forth that they may have. Ah, and that is something that you know, I think that to a certain extent helps President Trump. Why is that? Because as we you and I both know Joe Biden makes a lot of mistakes. He's a gas machine. And so if you just haven't speaking for a full two minutes I think during the course of that two minutes, he's he's what liable to make a mistake. And that's why I say that particular debate change could actually help the president. Yeah, I think you're right. But after seeing what Savannah Guthrie did at the town hall you got you gotta wonder. Why didn't they consider muting the the moderator as well? But anyway, we'll move on, eh, as we get closer and closer to hopefully A stimulus deal here. Pelosi is now said day. Today's the deadline and she's of course, slamming the president and everybody that's not agreeing with everything she wants. Done and saying, You know, this is going to be the blame of the president. If we don't get this done their not wanting to cooperate in reality, they don't like your crazy left ideas. Nancy and all pork you're trying to bring into this thing so Where do you think we're going to end up in the end of the day on this? Well, good question. The president was on Fox and friends while you're doing your show he was calling in the fox and friends. And he now said that he would be willing to spend even more on the Corona virus relief build on the $2.2 Trillion that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been pushing for, and he said that not every Republican agrees with me, but they will. So that gives an indication to me that maybe that deadline that Pelosi upset may actually be met. And that would be a great thing. Obviously, for individuals across the country who could certainly use Ah, the money. A Zafar stimulus is concerned good for the U. S economy as well, So we'll have to follow that likely tomorrow. We'll be talking about just that after the deadline. Obviously expires this evening. Very good. John Decker.
