"Who knows but it's it's possible. It's still possible that an intruder could have done you know there is some dna pointing to it The theories on intruders were said to have been. There was a town sex offender who allegedly admitted to one of his friends that he had hurt her a small girl i his name was gary livia. He confessed to hurting a small girl. This friend reports police So as far as intruders gum could have been him am. There was also a theory of it being the electricity. In michael hell goth. He was he got into a dispute with the family over Whether have been payment or you know his work. The blueprint was similar to his. Or you know maybe his size issues so that could fit and this weirdly enough. He ended up committing suicide. Two days after the press conference in nineteen ninety-seven where the authorities stated that they were getting close to knowing who the purpose so timing wise. It's a little sketchy and then it's it's very it's like who knows what that guy was going through but of course timing wise it's raise the red flag for sure So i mean. I guess i ever going with that thinking of it. He would have known the house right. He may have known that the window was broken in the basement. He could've used those supplies. As far as the paintbrush goes to make the garage are known to take her to that room in the basement that she might not be found as easily there Or you know what have been able to find paper to write the note quickly things like that. He would have kinda known the lay of the land a little more than if you know if we're going with the town sex ended up breaking in. You've got to search for that right. He's got a search for the paper. You'll find the room in the basement. all right you liable suspect. There's also so a schoolteacher wanna john. The most leading suspect Then a couple more the housekeeper. Linda hoffman pugh pug Pure looks right. She was so she was the ramseys housekeeper but she was struggling for again. She had access to their home. So if she would have known about john's christmas bonus she would have known to ask for that amount of money that could be. You know okay plausible. Yeah again the electric would have known the laid the house. The housekeeper would have known the lay of the house. It's it's definitely plausible. Anything as far as A blueprint goes..

"The other thing was I was born with uncontrollable sexual urges. Played them since adolescents. And he said it was so extreme that he decided to have his body altered to move all of his sexual organs. People say oh. He's just an odd ball. We don't want to even consider him for a suspect. I say hey you never can tell when I said to John Ram the he said that's just exactly he should. We should be looking for. I said no one wants to look at him. Because he's just too strange and odd and weird and he said that's exactly who we need to be looking for. Welcome to episode. Ten of the killing of Jon. Benet the final suspects. I'm your host Danielle Rowe last time. We learned of one of the most disturbing suspects on lead. Detective loose mets list. A child kidnapper and rapist called John. Brewer Eustis the third. He said his life was drugs. Alcohol Religion and rape. He didn't care what age accepted his urges. Were took their by the Alpha Guide. And so they were all okay. And he was raping females a serial rapist. We're now going to remain in the controversial world of child beauty pageants to investigate two other names on detective loose smits list with ties to Jon John Benes involvement in pageants and as with some of the details concerning both suspects may prove upsetting to some listeners. Who have killed this little girl. We've talked in other episodes that Somebody may have had a grudge against John Ramsey. That's a motive to take seriously but it was a secure girl who had performed in beauty pageants and it's possible. Maybe even likely that someone picked her out out of a beauty pageant or no beauty pageant. Just a six year old girl and somebody might have spotted her and picked her out. Unfortunately we all know that that kind of thing happens well. She was sexually assaulted that night. We do know because she did bleed into her panties and blood does contain the DNA of wherever did it to her. But how much of this was pedophilia. The actual cause and reason for this or was it more that somebody was angry at John and wanted to destroy his life. We're not sure but big card at this case. Is that a lot of people watching the news and the news media was pushing the sexual assault thing. I thought it was important. It on posters online so many of them ended up coming out and saying that they had been victims of incest and so if she was abused they'd rather think it was her father or a family member. Then think that it's a good game yet who could come into their lives. So I found a lot of the people online instantly blamed Jan saying that he was mishandling his daughter but it brought out a lot of people who wanted to talk about the sexual assaults on children either their fantasies of or their experience with it. I mean all of a sudden it became a huge focus in.

Kiro seven years old the same age as Jon. Benet basketball we begin. Look into. We've always wondered if there were pictures out there in the dark web or somewhere that somebody how Jon Benet don't we began to cope into the world of child beauty pageants and we went folder and the surrounding environs and beginning in mothers were in the same beauty? Pageants this Jon. Benet it thing that was out of order or something unusual and maybe in Kellinger stairway restricting photographers with many times. Not Want to leave their children alone though. What we begin discovering was the whole world surrounding the beauty pageant circuit. And you don't know who you're inadvertently stimulating by dressing. Your child and putting them in these pageants could be attracting pedophile. Maybe that were in the sponsors pageants or judging the pageant or people in the spectator sections of the pageant's we through our interviews with people over many years had heard about various already that occurred in boulder involving children various activities legal activities over the years involving children multiple victims. There are a couple of cases. We encountered numerous reports of things of this nature. We're not staying. They tie indirectly Jon Benet case. But we're saying that they were going on around her guests like we're saying that the beauty pageants attacked aspect individuals who were moving around her to the point that they even had to get rid of people. Loose-knit had his list of top suspects many of them living outside the boulder area. But there was one name that loose focused on more than others. This is Jameson. Doug Lunn Guinea talking about John. Eustis Jameson. I'm calling because one of the names on Rue Smits list of suspects or people that he was interested in. Is John Brewer? Eustis what is John used to says? Background? What can you tell me well? He first came to my attention. Around Easter of Nineteen ninety-seven. A situation came up here in Charlotte North Carolina. Where two year old. Little girl was taken from her bedroom. She was held for three days. She was raked. She was not murdered. She was then left in. Somebody'S BACKYARD TO BE FOUND. Three two year old two year old almost three. He went into this child's bedroom. I don't believe the child even had a crib or bed. I believe she was sleeping on a man on the floor There were adults in the next room. She had a four year old sibling in the room with her. This man took the child changed her diaper. Told the odds of childish She's my child. Now don't tell anybody but she's my child and left out the window. He acknowledged the fact that he's serial rapist. He claimed he was molested as a young child as a teenager. He grew to understand that when a girl says no or stop that she's really saying this is really what I want turned into a serial rapist. At first it was anything that was available and then he started focusing in on younger children and it ended when he was arrested after his assault on two year. Old Elizabeth Bradshaw the similarities with the killing or attempted kidnapping of Jon. Benet are striking but things became even more disturbing. I should warn you. Some of the following details may be upsetting to listeners. It wasn't long after that. That detective Steve Thomas and ran acid went to charlotte to meet with him. And there's a few paragraphs in St Thomas's book on coming to Charlotte to see him for coming whether he wrote. This is Jameson. Reading excerpts. From Steve Thomas's book. Jon Benet the worst to the punch in the most likely suspect. We came across other than the Ramseys was. Jan Brewer used to third in custody in Charlotte North Carolina for kidnapping a two year. Old Girl Police. Down the name of Jon Benet Ramsey. A tap of bazaar list pedophile favorite sexual fantasies. And he kept a scrapbook filled with photographs of Jon benet inside a Barbell on a makeshift altar. Gossage with a baby at home could barely contain his disgust as uses recounted therapy. Of course how he would molest little girls and the importance of wiping fingerprints from bodies. In the North Carolina incidents he confessed entering the apartment through a garden level window. Adult was awaken the living room shushing the little plum child and taking her away through a window. Leaving behind a flashlight. He later tie at her but tape over her mouth and wrapped electrical cord around her head to control her similarities to our case convinced us that we had to investigate this suspect upside down. He smoked three packs signal. Borough recounting dozens of molestations watching a reactions through half closed. Eyes carefully avoiding dates or places but he feigned forgetfulness when we tried to account for his whereabouts on December twenty fifth when we sought samples of pubic hair. He shrugged he couldn't provide any because he shaped his crutch so as not to leave telltale. Dna evidence but in a fourth floor. Detective Bureau bathroom used pinched folds of pubic skin. And we plugged stubs here with tweezers by only we returned him to his county jail cell back in the hotel. I stood beneath steaming shower. Scrubbing hard with soap to rid myself of the stench of John. Eustis we found that he had a temporary job with a film processing lab during Christmas Week. In a computer generated timesheets showed that he was at work on December. Twenty six coworkers remembered that he tried to kiss an unwilling woman employees that night it impossible to be in. North Carolina in Colorado. At the same time we cleared eustis but hoped the Charlotte cops would put him away for a couple of forever's and that's the end of what came in the book. Now I wanted to point out a couple of things when they hire somebody at a temporary Jabba film processing lab. You're dealing with the Christmas rush. You're not worried about the twenty first twenty second because it's not when you're really busy. He may well have started work. On December twenty six and his shift started at midnight so in order to be in Charlotte at midnight and December. Twenty six you could been anywhere in this country at midnight and December twenty fifth. So I personally didn't think the alibi was great..

"That is journalist. Stephen Singular we have also learned that this belief was not shared by lead investigator Lou Smit who after devoting the final years of his life to the case died in two thousand ten with a list of definitive suspects one of which he believed to be John. Benes murderer during the course of his investigation as he's gathering facts facts. He's looking at the evidence. Obtained from the scene evidence obtain at the autopsy and interviews of witnesses businesses during the course of the investigation. And he's comparing that to people who don't have a strong alibi but still have a potential connection into either the family or Jon Benet so when you start to piece all that evidence together there are obviously some people that rise at immediately up to a level. Were you go. We really need to look at these people right but getting to the shortlist. Our team has in hand now. Didn't just happen overnight. Investigators who firmly believe that the intruder killed Jon Benet have spent many years clearing some very compelling and very unusual suspects. My name is Laurie Simpson. And I'm from Florida and I got interested in the case because my daughter's the same age as Jon Benet Ramsey and I just started watching it and following it and eventually became friends with a Gal name. Rake Rogan's actually worked with the Ramsey investigators and she solicited me to help her at times and I was headed to help them as well. My I suspect with Santa Claus Santa Claus Bill mcreynolds and he was the professor as what his wife. I believe. He was actually a professor for Chris. Wolf I believe who was another suspect. He kinda odd in that he had a daughter are who had been kidnapped like twenty three years earlier on about the same day. Same time Christmas time with a friend they never was solved. The friend was violated. The daughter was not and the life wrote a play about a little girl who was murdered in her basement so that was weird but he had had had heart surgery and police said they rolled him out because he was would have been to week to have done anything like that but Jon Benet had actually taken him down in the basement at at their Christmas party days before and giving him a little vial of fairy dust and he said he kept that as special to him so the the whole thing about it was really strange as the suspects continued to surface in the early years it became apparent that the sleepy little college town of Boulder also attracted a WHO's who of sexual predators here's Colorado News reporter. Paula Woodward I interviewed Gary Alita when he was in the Boulder County jail. Gary Olivo was arrested. He had a child pornography background. He also have built a shrine and and Jon Benet Ramsey in his apartment police discovered when he was arrested again on child pornography charges when when I interviewed him in the Boulder County jail and we were talking. I said well tell me what you know about Jon Benet Ramsey and. He said we'll only do that. If if you give me a picture of her I said Nope I'm Outta here. He went wait. Wait wait I'll talk to you anyway. And so he was a UH creepy guy when he was rearrested. Oh probably three or four years ago. Someone who had been in touch with them said that he had confessed to killing Schaumburg Ramsey that has gone no further his DNA outmatch. Michael Lives in boulder and he killed himself or was killed on Valentine's Day February fourteenth. It came just after a very forceful personal message from district attorney. Alex Hunter. Who said will find you and then the next day he's either dead or was murdered? It has has it been asset. Although has been called suicide a friend thought he killed Jon Benet and that friend kept him a suspect viable for quite some time. There was a person who had committed suicide and they were looking at that person because he he had a stun gun. Apparently you know when they first department investigator Dad. It was a suicide and then I guess it was after the fought it. This person's name came up as as a possible suspect. And that's when they started looking at him. In retrospect I think I think a lot of that evidence information were GonNa get one but I know like Johnson. I've seen molly gray really looked at at hell. Our team is tracked down a man who was a personal friend of Michael Hill. Goth at the time of Jon benet murder. What is your name Sir? John Kennedy Civil. Who is Michael Helga? Marco hogarth was an individual. I met when he's about ten years old at Valmont auto junkyard and you just just young bright little kid blonde hair very clean. Polite and Mike became interested in the military after he got out of high school. When in the military and then came out and instruments working at the yard from say April of ninety six through December? We were both working in the yard bike and I formed a friendship and he wanted me to become a partner and then we were going to together together. Run the yard. I'm pretty sure he was into heroin. Annoy he dealt and sold weed and he also was interested in Cocaine a little sure he dabbled in everything at one point trying to sell it. Make.

"She said the reason Jason that she exonerated the Ramseys after her second. DNA testing match. The first was because the case was on a road road to try to convict the Ramseys and involved the death penalty and she didn't think they were guilty and she felt someone. Commissioner with authority even knows very unusual and highly criticized move should exonerate them. So should give tragically. Patsy Ramsey never lived to receive that exoneration in two thousand and two the ovarian cancer she had. I been diagnosed with in nineteen ninety three returned and she died in two thousand six at age forty nine. She is now buried next to her daughter here. She is speaking into investigators in nineteen ninety eight after the job. A Lot. More pressure for shooting shooting. Investigation the media whether Avenue interview. What what it's going to be aware if there is this gotta wear into the soul search for cope with it? I kind of thought myself. Get too tired contend fall in craw online depressed so I try to manage my health risks. Well Joe we have taken out the under the paper. Not just can't care because recent times that I had inadvertently themes of they learn new thing Ed Collins. I can't that was just like me in John. Ci Out because it's harmful you're watching the former detectives John San Agustin and Robert Whitson also believe that progress can still be made despite the mistakes of the past as we look at this case again. We look at the two theories whether or not there was an intruder who did this. The family and I will tell you that there are a number of investigators who have well over a couple hundred years of experience in and investigations. Who all say that? The murder of Jon Benet Ramsey was not done by the family but by intruders or an engineer. The problem is the Boulder Police Department. Still to this day will not come out and give any information on spend twenty three years I think at this point we need to come out and let people know what have you done. Have you looked at other people. Have you not looked at that other people. What are you doing still today? There are still a number of leads that have never been followed up by law enforcement is my understanding that approximately three thousand leads came into the Boulder Police Department and the onset of this investigation of which still still a number of them have never been followed. My understanding is there were are both fibers. Animal hairs that were never sourced so I had a source of ad here from the suspect. was that ever tested. I don't know they're not seeing anything anything. I was told that one of the neighbors two of the RAMSEYS and reported about a month before John. Benes murder order that there was somebody leaving cigarette butts in their backyard and I was told. Supposedly an officer responded and collected one of those cigarette butts. Now keep in mind this is prior to DNA. So it may have come into propping opinion evidence and because there was no DNA available you know discarded up like it was cap for a while the question is was that DNA from a cigarette butt ever test because we know in the asked that has been one of the methods of operation of sexist suspects where they will be in the area washing doing kind of surveillance of place that they wanNA break into and be out there smoking while they're you're watching the subject song and former grand jury member. Jonathan Webb agrees that DNA will be the key to finally securing justice for Jon. Benet the advances of analytical technology spend Jordan Attic and if money's was educated and the evidence was preserved my belief is and local technology could solve this crime. You'd have to have a dog detective. WHO's dedicated and focused funded well and given the best analytical tools and allowed to do his or her or work and if that is the case I think it would be solved next time on the killing of Jon Benet the final suspects ax discrediting the case against the RAMSEYS? The few people who are left in the Boulder Police Department still believed that John and or patsy Ramsey murdered their daughter. All of the jurors believed that the truth theory didn't hold water. It was almost like tunnel vision Asian. They were focused on Azi Ramsey and long buried recordings of police interviews with John Patsy and Burke Ramsey Z.. Here you know when when can rush.

This was a little six year old girl who had been tortured and murdered and left in her home. It was a town that didn't even have a homicide excited partly because they didn't have homicides. It was horrifying for twenty three years. Smits suspects spreadsheet in future episodes but before diving into the investigation. Gatien we I need to go back to the beginning and the details of that awful December twenty sixth morning twenty three years ago. My name is Cyril Wecht. I'm a physician I specialized in Anatomic clinical and forensic pathology ah five thirty a m on the day after Christmas Jon. Benet Ramsey's mother Causey Ramsey. I'd gotten up to to make breakfast for them. She came down and she saw a piece of paper a regular standard size eight and a half by eleven piece of paper. She you got to note and said we represent a small foreign faction. That's the way it begins then it goes on from there and it makes a demand of money she patsy Ramsey she rushes up and indeed her daughters not in her bed. She Awakens her husband. They we do a quick search. They called Koch Patsy Ramsey's nine one one call. Some of which you heard at the beginning of this episode has been the subject of two decades worth of conjecture and debate. Here's former supervisory. Deputy United States Marshal Mark McLeish Patsy Ramsey Zia called nine one one when she found the ransom note and so the I want Upper Astra. What's going on in an impasse? Gave their address so then the second time the operate said what's going on there man impasse responsive we have a kidnapping her. You please cops come to the house than by six o'clock in the morning. They searched searched house and do not find girl. My Name's Robert Whitson. And I was on call detecting supervisor in nineteen ninety six when Jon Benet Ramsey case occurred was Oxley six o'clock or so in the morning I received a call that there was a kidnapping and so Got Hold of two detectives who responded and then I responded. I went to the police east department and met with the night shift supervisor and also started making some phone calls so I didn't get up to the house. It was probably early. Probably around nine o'clock in the morning almost from the moment boulder police responded to Patsy. Ramsey's nine one. One call catastrophic mistakes. Mistakes were made although the case was still the kidnapping normal police protocol would dictate that. The ramseys house should have been treated as a crime scene. As detective of Whitsun explains it was not. When I went in the house? I actually was a little surprise because there were three or four adults standing there there and I asked one of the detectives who are these people and he told me that they were friends of the Ramseys at that point. One of the mistakes I made Ed was. I should've took those people someplace else. Either to the Police Department or to one of the other neighbor's homes that lived thereby but I should have had them removed from the house at that point. Of course we're working. Under the assumption that disappeared to be a legitimate kidnapping uh-huh and also the movie ransom had just come out a couple weeks before and there were a lot of similarities as far. Here's the movie ransom with the information we had at that time. Detective Whitson also remembers both Patsy and John at this stage remaining relatively calm. I met with Mr Ramsey. He was very common collected. I only talk to Patsy not Ramsey for probably a minute or less and I did was teller that we were gonNA do everything possible to get their daughter back she basically was sitting in a it was on the first level and she was sitting in a chair and you could tell she'd been crying detectives and I went up to John. Benes Bedroom. Just did a real quick cursory look shut the Dr Crime scene tape over that specifically told Mr Ramsey nobody it goes in that room I also ask him for samples of His and Mrs Ramsey's handwriting. It gave me to you know pads and I didn't even look at him that at that point we could drive around the area to see. If there's anybody suspicious officious or anybody look like could possibly be involved. I have to tell you that I was told that police officers had searched the house and didn't find anything.

"Of the books on and their study was opened up to incest or something like that. I believe it was that a dictionary down that the word incest was marked in in a dictionary. I questioned that one to captain because that's one of those ones that you hear in more salacious reports on this case Ace I really question I feel like that would be a a more well known fact if it was a fact but we what we do know is the fact is they didn't find any pornography in the house right into top that off. These both parents have other children. There's you know there's never been any any complaints by any of the other children that that patsy or John was ever involved in anything like that and to further that out even even more. We Have Melinda on record multiple times saying her father just wouldn't be capable of such an act and that he be murder order or molestation while we're on the subject though of the bed wedding situation. One thing that I did find particularly strange in this case and this is well reported to that Jon. Benet Ramsey had twenty seven doctor visits and the course of the three years leading leading up to her death on an average that puts her at like nine a year. That's a crazy amount. The doctor when asked asked about this states that this was for the the pediatrician states that these were for all normal reasons. She did have some some sinus issues. I guess that would be caused for reoccurring visits. I also wonder too. We know the situation of the accidental time when burke hit her in the face with the dog club. Yeah in the face and the face That in itself. Though I wanNA point we now just just something like that requires multiple doctor visits. I was looking for like a a straight up list while. Yeah you'd have if there was stitches. You have stitches than you have to remove the stitches. Well we know we know that she went to a plastic surgeon. So just like you pointed out there that that starts with the initial doctor visit referral to somebody consultation. The the surgery a follow up right there. You have four out of the twenty seven one. You have a stay at home mom so I think yeah maybe four people that are everybody's working and there's not a lot of money little. Oh things you're just going to let go but when you have the time to take your daughter and for every little thing and you have the money to cover it. I don't think that's unreasonable. Symbol external evidence of injury located just below the right ear at the right angle of the mandible. One point five inches below the right external auditorium canal is a small rust. Colored Abrasion in the lateral aspect of the left. Lower Eyelid is Particul- hemorrhaging coaching. I'm going to skip some portions of this autopsy report captain because there are multiple pages that go through all of these petillo hemorrhaging and all the Hammer Djing. That takes place. We know that we've already discussed it. Strangulation was involved and anybody. That's listened to the show or other true crime shows knows that hemorrhaging occurs during those types of situations but to specifically describe some of the report. Here this part I believed to be important wrapped around the neck with a double not in the mid line of the posterior are. Your neck is a length of white cord similar to that described as being tied around the right wrist. This leg. Sure cord is cut on the right side of the neck. Doc and removed a single black ink. Mark is placed on the left side of the cut and a double black ink mark on the right side of the okay so that portion portion of that last two sentences of his report are describing the pathologists actions he saying I removed it by cutting it and then I placed markers indicating touch took place. The not is left intact extending from the not on. The neck are two tales of the not one measuring four inches in length and having a frayed end and the other measuring seventeen inches in length with the N. tied in multiple loops around a Tan. Brown wooden stick which measures four point five inches. In length this wooden stick is irregularly broken at both ends and there are several colors of paint and varnish on the surface my printed in gold letters on one end of the wooden stick is the word Korea the tail end of the other word extends from beneath the loops of the cord tied around the stick and is not able to be interpreted blonde hair entwined in the not in the cord wrapped around the wooden stick. It appears to be made of white synthetic material also secured around the neck is a gold chain with a single charm in the form of a cross examination of the right extremities is unremarkable on the Middle Finger. Finger of the right hand is a yellow metal band around the right. Wrist is a yellow metal and identification bracelet with the name. Jon Benet on one side and the date twelve twenty five ninety six on the other side. This was a gift from her aunt. I believe from patsies sister. And I mean there's these little sad heartbreaking points in this case all along the way that just remind you of the pure innocence of this little girl and you know she here. She is wearing a gift that she just very recently received. Him was probably very excited to wear this piece of jewelry this she received from her aunt. I mean it just breaks your heart. I also think it's not clear in this is case on how brutal this attack was. And this is the way it was set up almost looked like you'd put a human on a leash and then you'd be pushing their head down as he pulled the the crop back. It's truly horrifying. I don't think that there's any documentary out there that has. I don't know what the right word is here. Captain but I wanNA. Let's say bothered to describe how horrific it would appease injuries. Are they almost make it. Sound like it's sleeping beauty lying in a windowless room in the basement and that's not the situation at all. There's if anybody that seen the pictures read the descriptions and we're going through here you hear the the the medical speak jargon and and it just sounds like textbook shit but really in lay terms it was. It's a horrific attack on a on a tiny little person and yet there's actually two marks on the neck one at the lower part of the neck and then at some point that became free and they go in deeper. And there's actually a couple pictures that you can see how deep the rope goes round throw almost disappears. Yeah and the line that it left at the mid line of the throat. After the fact though I mean it looks like somebody took up. Maroon Maroon Marker a Maroon Sharpie and just drew a line across somebody's neck that's how deep it looked like it was the cord was going into the neck back. There was a red ink line. Drawing in the form of a heart that was found located on the palm of John. Benes left hand hand. The fingernails of both hands are of sufficient length for clipping. And we already discussed that. They use the same clippers to clip. All of the figuring. Now you said that there was no nothing founded neath the nails but I I thought there was some DNA and.

"Or what have you won. This could have left the door open and this is possibly the door that has tone you and one of the reports. I saw where the cops found a back door open so this could be that back door that you're talking about correct so this is where I think think we can back up John Ramsey statement of what time he was searching the home by himself or the basement by himself because he seems to recall even though he can't figure out the time that it was before he would have been prepped for the ransom. Call the next item on our time. Line plays to that so so at eight ten. Am We have detective. Patterson and Detective Linda aren't arrive at the Ramsey. Home aren't as crazy is yes okay officer rick. French gave them an updated briefing at this time. We have Steve. Thomas notes that states that the two detectives arrived left At this time as well so this seems to be generally confirmed or at least believed by multiple people on the scene. Detective aren't monitored incoming calls to the ramseys residents. That was her first duty afterward. Detective aren't instructed John Ramsey regarding the call all the instructions were how he should handle the call when it comes in I to keep talking or keep the caller talking long enough to trace the call and maybe even more important demand to talk to Jon Benet but why this is all going on. We have the Ramsey's friends that are over to try to help them out. They start cleaning the kitchen. Yeah some of the notes state that this was the victims advocates. They were cleaning the kitchen. Either way it's it's a big no-no especially if it would be the advocates that were brought in by the Boulder Police Department at eight thirty six. Am John John. Andrew and Melinda Ramsey board a Delta flight to Minneapolis at nine twenty seven. AM detective by field. Contacted Gary Merriman for a list of the employee's and access graphics. Yeah basically by doing this. They're rounding up people that they think are possible suspects at ten. Am No one including the RAMSEYS. Mentions to detective. Linda aren't that. The suspected kidnappers failed to call during the designated time period. Right Steve Thomas very astutely points points out a very interesting thing here that that that's very kind of difficult to put your finger on and that is the letter which we are going to dive into the letter states the we will contact you tomorrow between eight. AM and ten. AM The problem with that is we do not know what time Jon Benet was kidnapped meaning if the letter was constructed and she was kidnapped before midnight then eight. Am To ten am. Tomorrow would be just that very day on the twenty sixth right. If it was after midnight the kidnapper may have meant eight. Am And ten am on the twenty seventh. It it's this this him. Make this stuff up about this case regardless what I find interesting here though captain is if I'm one of the parents of of this missing girl and I've been prepped on a ransom call on how to handle that call when that time expires. I'm going to be ED panicking. Why didn't they call? Why didn't they call as they know? Paul Yeah I'm not GonNa put any thought into what day they were supposed to call or what they meant. I'm going to go off of. I'm panicked I haven't heard I'm supposed to get some instruction on how to get my daughter back right or I'd use my brain and say okay. They didn't call so I'm a little worried but does that mean that they're going to call tomorrow is you know is the note stating tomorrow. I mean like somebody should mention and something According to Steve Thomas's notes At Ten thirty at approximately ten thirty is exactly what he states. Detectives Actives Linda. Aren't and Fred Paterson. They sealed off John Benes bedroom about time. Yeah it's about time to jot down that way to go pat yourself on the back at ten thirty A.. M. After doing this all additional police officers and the victim advocates. This is everyone law enforcement. forcement sent to the home other than Linda. Aren't they leave the Ramsey residence so that means we now have Linda art at the home. One detective one member of law enforcement one single person with Patsy Ramsey John Ramsey the Weitz the furnace and the reverend while the ramseys really liked her though even though she has crazy is the ramseys. It seemed like they felt comfortable roll with her. Well I just wanted to point out that we have one law enforcement member here and seven individuals seven civilians liens in a big giant house. There are things working at the police station during this time. However how could the officers in the other detectives -tective there's a sergeant amongst them all decide to leave and only leave one officer there with seven people? This to me seems like pure insanity on behalf of the Boulder Boulder Police Department and totally unfair to one of their own unfair to detective. Linda aren't yeah but she's GonNa tell two different stories so I don't think we need to get into too much detail but it seems like initially. She's like yeah. There were cooperative and I was trying to help them amount and they were talking to me then it seems like years later should change his her story and that that that's where she has famous interviewer she's saying and I was holding my gone and count in my bullets. You know and it's like one. Why you kind of your bullets? While you afraid none of these people have guns. Yeah I just think it's that whole move is totally unfair to detective aren't by her fellow officers to leave her there by herself. L. To be fair number wanted to be seen with her crazy is it's too much for one officer to handle. We got seven people moving around a crime scene but they're not right but and then on top of that still has not been doesn't need it a crime scene by law enforcement. I mean they yes they blocked off. Haven't we read. That's one of the problems. Yes big pro. Yeah that's a big problem. Here's continued another misstep side. The Boulder Police Department. Now we're GONNA leave just one of our officers here too. Yeah okay so the thought at at the time is yes. There was a kidnapping. Maybe she doesn't need to be monitoring everybody inside the home but maybe that should have been consideration one and two. We've cut off Radio Communications Yup. What if the ransom call comes in? You've left thirty minutes after the call was supposed to come in. It just makes it makes absolutely zero. We absolute zero sense. We have one officer there. She'll handle it makes no sense between ten forty A. M. Around noon. John Ramsey is unaccounted for what this means is. Linda aren't the only officer Sir on the scene does not know where this man is during this timeframe does he go to check his mouth or something that his that was the rumor. That was the story that came out early in this whole big mess because a sh- shit about your mail. Well that's what people point to say. This man did not care that his daughter was missing at the time did not care that a ransom call could come in because he left the home to check the mail Linda into art kind of makes assumption. Here remember she cannot account for him. She accounts for him around noon. She says when she sees John John Sitting by himself and he's reading some type of correspondent. Some maybe a letter or something. She makes the assumption that he left to go get the mail. We know years later that that is in fact. We can't say in fact but I guess very likely untrue that he left the home to get the mail the mail slot that was in the in the front door. The mail come into the homes. You don't have to leave the home so he could very well picked up the mail or just pick something up from his desk tried to occupy his mind. We don't know what we do know is. He is unaccounted for roughly for an hour. She doesn't know where he is. Linda does not again that look. That's not the fault of the family. That's the fault of law enforcement for leaving one officer behind not be all to keep an eye on everybody but it's interesting because the other adults in the home are accounted for. During this time now we have Linda Art. Who is left with a cell phone? This is her method that she's been told she needs to use to communicate with her fellow officers during this time. She feels like she's losing control of of all the people they're losing control of the scene. If you WANNA call it. That and she samson choose roller eyebrows. Denies She sends two pages to two officers requesting backup that she would like for them to call you. Send a page they respond. She was going to tell them. I need some additional. No officers here. I'm outnumbered and I wonder what made her look. I'm not saying that she's telling one story. And then Sane Sane enough. That's what I said before. But what but that's what kind of seems like but maybe there was something that happened happened during being there by yourself that she went wait a second. Something's not right here. That's when she started calling for back-up yeah twice. She called well. She sent a page page both times they went. They didn't respond to them. She never had the opportunity to ask for backup. She's asking for backup captain because she feels. She's lost control all of the scenes. She's lost control of the all. These were there all. She supposed to babysit them. She knows for a fact that one of them John Ramsey is unaccounted accounted for search for a certain period of time around. One o'clock Heather Cox. She is at the whites home. She answers the phone own and she is told by Priscilla White to bring Burke Ramsey back to the Ramsey home Now at around around twelve thirty again. We have John Ramsey. According to Linda aren't sitting by himself she decides and again. There's I apologize. which is there several different versions of the story? But she says that around just before one o'clock she wanted to give John something to do so she asked John to search the house. Some story say that she approached fleet white and asked him to get John to go with him to search the house. I actually think these varied stories in this particular situation could be extremely important. Based based off of what people's suspicions will be because of their movements and what people will come to the defense of John Ramsey and those suspicions suspicions. Yeah but really. This case should be called Jon. Benet Ramsey close enough good enough for jazz right make us. Every story has a combating story..

Elizabeth Melinda and John Andrew but the to divorce in one thousand nine hundred seventy eight on November fifth nineteen eighty he married. What many considered to be the woman of his dreams twenty-three-year-old Patricia and Paul Yup better known as Patsy? Patsy attended West Virginia University and graduated with a BA in journalism and nineteen seventy eight just a year before four. She won the Miss West Virginia beauty title in Nineteen Seventy seven on January twenty seventh nineteen eighty-seven Patsy gave birth to the couple's pulls first child Burke Ramsey then three and a half years later they welcomed their second child. Jon Benet in Nineteen Ninety one one. The family moved to Boulder Colorado for John's business access graphics. A little background here. John was extremely hard working and driven. He was an entrepreneur. He started a computer company in the eighties. Eventually his company and two other companies merged nineteen eighty-eight this formed access this graphics the company was then sold to Lockheed Martin in Nineteen ninety-one John became the chief executive officer and president went up access graphics thus sparking the family to set up shop and Beautiful Boulder Colorado the ramseys purchased a seven thousand square foot. Home the address. Seven fifty five Fifteenth Street Boulder Colorado. The home was purchased for five hundred thousand dollars. Some reports state eight. The home is eleven thousand square feet. But I believe that would include. Maybe the basement balconies and other areas. We all know how the real estate listing game works they also did a very extensive renovation on the property as well speaking of which I will do my best impression. Here it's a beautiful. Red Brick Tudor style home built in nineteen twenty seven. There are four floors including the basement. The basement is made up of a series of small rooms the home it features two staircases one traditional and one spiral there are five bedrooms burke and John Benes rooms are located on the second second story. Job As room is complete with its own bathroom and balcony. The master suite is above the children's rooms located on the third story. The ramseys Patsy in particular loved this House. The ramseys were riding pretty high but unfortunately life is often a series of peaks and valleys sadly on January Eighth Nineteen ninety-two John Ramsey's oldest daughter. From his first marriage Elizabeth Ramsay was killed in an automobile automobile accident in Chicago Illinois. She was just twenty two years old on December twenty third nineteen ninety-two. The ramseys purchased a one thousand seven hundred in thirty one square foot vacation home in Charlevoix Michigan for three hundred and thirty six thousand dollars for those unfamiliar. This is an absolutely a beautiful area. Northern Michigan right along Lake Michigan absolutely gorgeous in June of ninety three. Patsy Ramsey is diagnosed with breast cancer. Sir For this. She will receive exams at the Charlevoix Community Hospital and treatments in Maryland. Now we're going to go through a pretty thorough timeline for for the Ramsey family. Some of these events may seem trivial however given the crime that we know is going to occur these items were included in this time. Line line because of the possibilities and the suspicions surrounding this case in Nineteen ninety-four seven-year-old Burke hits his little sister Zhabei on the cheek with a golf club. Well let's be clear. This is not a situation where burke decided. I don't like you and I'm going to smash smashing the face with a golf club. This was purely an accident. This wasn't like the time my brother hit me in the back with a baseball bat because he was trying to kill me. I questioned this at first glance because we do know that children siblings will fight with one another and they can be quite vicious dishes at times plus when they're very young as they would be in this situation. It's an impulsive thing to pick up a club and hit your sister your brother other with because they did something mean to you. I am burke only being seven years old. He won't be thinking if I hit her in the face with a golf club. I could possibly kill her right. This could have lasting consequences however everything that we could find only indicates that this was just an accident accident and believe it or not in my own life. I've experienced a situation where one of my friends accidentally hit another friend in the the face with a golf club and the vase on the back swing because the person was standing too close as the other person was taking swing. We don't have the details of of this specific accident however again everything indicates that it was just that an accident right but it was pretty vicious. Because Jon benet would be left with scar a short time later. Johnny underwent plastic surgery at a surgeon in Denver this to correct that scar on the left cheek from from the golf club. Incident and December of nineteen ninety four. The ramseys giant beautiful home is one of just seven homes in the area to be included in the historic homes for the holidays tour. This is important for a few reasons mainly this means that approximately fifteen hundred people will participate dissipate in a tour of the ramseys property and the house in April of one thousand nine hundred five four year old Jon Benet Ramsey wins the Colorado auto state all star. Kids paget out. She will participate and win several pageants. I'm not going to go through all of them captain. Frankly when research searched well you get a bunch of different information so I will just stick to the ones that I can confirm. or at least have double-checked October of Nineteen ninety-five was a happy and exciting month. For the Ramsey family. Jon Benet was crowned Little Miss Colorado Sunburst and John Ramsay was the winner of the Entrepreneur of distinction award but to be clear. I don't think like her whole family was revolved around her winning something. I think it was nice. When she wan- they devoted a lot of time doing it but I don't think it made the families year if she got some award regarding John Ramsey's he's business keep in mind? Access graphics is doing very well in the company is growing in sales and staff quite rapidly. Then it was patsies turned to receive some recognition. This came when the April nineteen ninety-six issue of Women's magazine Profiled Patsy Ramsey this article of course will include a lot of her personal information but also a lot of personal information about John and the kids then in July of Nineteen ninety-six. Jon Benet one. America's royal tiny miss the following month. She finishes second and the the Sunburst National Pageant. This pageant was held in Atlanta Georgia. On Saturday November thirtieth John Ramsey host host a surprise fortieth birthday party for his wife of sixteen years and this is truly a surprise as her actual birthday is not until December twenty ninth. This was a big fortieth birthday celebration for Patsy held at the Palace Hotel in Denver is laws speculation though that she was not looking forward to this time and was actually very upset about turning forty then on December six during the lights of December parade. Jon Tape appeared on her own little Miss Colorado float. This is an annual parade where spectators enjoy floats created and decorated by local businesses churches and civic groups. The parade often includes marching bands fire engines holiday carolers and an appearance by Santa Claus. This takes place in downtown. Boulder in Nineteen ninety-six Burke was in this parade as well on Friday December thirteenth. There is is a big holiday party at the Ramsey home. This is attended by more than one hundred and fifty of their friends from Church so again just pointing out another event then at their house with a lot of guest so what we are quickly learning is this is a house that has many people who have been in and is often opened up too many guests over just the few years that they have owned the home. Four days later on the seventeenth the six year old was crowned Colorado's. Those little Miss Christmas. This is one of the larger pageants. She has participated in and certainly in achieving moment and and in hindsight really kind of just an eerie weird thing. The job in a would be named the nineteen ninety-six Little Miss Christmas. Now we don't have a date but I want to make sure that we include this here. There's a report that this took place some time. In December uh of ninety six and this comes from a statement to law enforcement at some time. In December. Jon Benet tells a gardener. This is Brian Brian Scott about her father John Ramsey..

"Ole of told him, quote, I heard a little girl. Investigators believe several men were involved in Johnny's death and bail hopes Oliva will identify them. The incriminating letters have been presented to boulder police and murder case. Investigators are now looking through the new information. This is shocking. A lot of people have confessed to John Benes murders has anyone who's actually been a suspect convict confessed. So I don't know. But I want to say a couple of things 'cause I knew this was going to be a story until I did a little bit of research ankium. And so a couple of things that are important to note, Jon, Benet, Ramsey's autopsy said that she died from blunt force trauma and fixation. Okay. Her slipping. Okay. Bank to the head fine. The strangling part don't know where that comes in. Maybe she was being strangled and she slipped. I'm just trying to like deduct here. One two apparently to they exude the body. Like, maybe a couple years ago and have to male DNA samples that were not matched anybody in the family, which I think was when finally the family was cleared, and so I would would suspect that they should test. This guy's Gary olas d. China to those samples. However, if he is incarcerated currently that means that his DNA is in the system. And so it would have come up when they there could have been other men there. And then he could have been were there. Other men in the house. Remember at the end of the day. This was in her own basement and everyone was sleeping upstairs. Like, how did all this commotion pictures of her like, I read an I this is conspiracy to max. But there was a whole threat in one of the toasters groups about. The dad's business he sold his business to Lockheed Martin. I just a Bubba whatever. And the point is is that some of the people who worked at Lockheed Martin where bad guys, and they were part of the pedophilia ring and bub-bubba. But at the end of the day there were here's what we can deduct. There were multiple men in her home in the basement and this guy, Gary Ola, HUD, photos of her. He is probably not the only person to have had photos of her. And there was she must have been part of some sort of like child pornography ring, and I don't know if it was happening in the basement of her house or otherwise. But that in my opinion, it's like the only thing I can deduct from the facts number one number two. It is important to note. I did not even realize Jon Benet Ramsey died in nineteen ninety six Margot Austria was not even born yet. Yeah. That is incredible. Like the so long as Gary. This is a for some reason. I'd really like I believe when I got it. I really thought that this was you know, I think this definitely had something to do with it. I think there are multiple people involved. That's a major lead two percent. So I hope that, you know, some Justice begins to discern from this a lot of people have confessed. But like they were people who had who couldn't have even been there right now. So it kind of when I was thinking about. Just it happening in her basement kind of gave me Elizabeth smart vibes where the family had like let someone into the house right to do work. And we're giving somebody in opportunity, and obviously he was a very bad man and took advantage in a horrible way. But I wonder if this was a similar situation. I wonder if the Ramseys new Gary Ola, I wonder if they're related to me sin Ramsey. Oh my God..

"Between Patsy and this crime. We have a connection between Patsy and the ransom note and a connection between Patsy and the grat. Yeah. Although we don't have real confirmation of the ransom note yet that likely was written by Patsy just that the handwriting was kind of similar well and not even considering the handwriting the point that it was her notepad. Yes, you're right. And that there was a possible practice note inter note had so the detective had found the source of part of the murder weapon, and where it had been broken because the detective had touched Giannis body. Another technician collected her g. Jeans and black blouse. So it was important to take the clothing from the detective because fibers from her clothing would be used for limitation purposes against any fibers discovered on the body. But when you think of all the people and everything that happened. It really is a forensic nightmare. So whether doing this no one bothered to collect the clothing that had been warned by either the Ramseys and both of them had been in contact direct contact with John Benes body. I huge legal fight would ensue over the following months as police tried to get custody of their clothing. Particularly patsies red turtleneck sweater her black and red check blazer Andrew for coats. And they fought that. The Ramseys foot that like crazy long-time forever time. Separately, also canvas the neighborhood. There was an elderly couple of costs the street who said they had seen John Ramsey's older. Son in job as half, brother. John Andrew Ramsay at the Ramsey home on Christmas day on the afternoon of December twenty eighth nineteen ninety six police allowed entry to the house to one of. Patsy Ramsey sisters from Atlanta pay 'em paw. So that she could get clothing for. Patsy. John Burke to wear to jonbenet's funeral. Accompanied by detective, Mike Evert poss- pen hours making at least a half a dozen trips throughout that house to take a large amount of the Ramseys possessions out of the police car. So it's not like she walked in with the policeman and took two outfits out of the closet. She had collected. She had rain of that household. She was all over the place, and that police car was track a block full of possessions. So it's a huge mistake and police procedure because absolutely nothing should be removed from an active crime scene, especially still so early in the investigation. It's only been two days. So she never should have been given authorisation to even enter the home. The thing she removed included stuffed animals from Jon Benet bedroom. Dresses for Jon, Benet, tears has sports Bank records toys for Burke, clothing, jewelry, and credit cards minute. Almost feel like if I didn't know better. And I Don. Not necessarily know better that John Ramsey had something on the police department. Why are they letting this happen? The other thing. It sounds like the stuff. She took was things that had been directed for her to take. Ramsey ramsey. So Pam, I want you to go to our house and gathered these things all I can say that. But I'm just astounded that they were allowed to get in the house and take stuff. What about the passports when they stayed? They didn't. Yeah. Okay. Well, I guess we've really hammered home how the investigation was botched. I don't wanna keep beating a dead horse over that. So let's go over the possibilities in probabilities of how Jon Benet ended up dead in her basement. One theory focuses on Patsy is Jon Benet killer. It was rumored in the months leading up to her that Jon Benet had started to pursue her independence. And that she was testing the patients of her parents since Jon Benet suffered from some bed-wetting the theory is that Jon Benet had wetter self the night. She was killed and that was the last straw scenario for pets. So Patsy stressed in annoyed at having to cleaner up than physically attacked or structure. So it would be kind of an accident killing, but she actually would have killed her by your own hand in that scenario. She would've the chief coroner in medical examiner. Dr Robert brisy concluded that the cause of John McCain is death was strangulation along with a head injury that occurred shortly before Patsy could've impulsively hit shot in the head with a heavy object knocking her unconscious. So this injury was probably fatal. You said. Right. That's that's the impression and would have killed her. Okay. And Patsy maybe she was too frightened to take Shamanee to the hospital or call for help. So she chose to cover it up so Cording to this theory pets, he took the time to fabricate a false kidnapping in order to cover up what had happened. So the whose kid with serious head injuries, who's comatose probably dying. And so she pets he's going to cover up this accident. Per possibly accidental thing maybe not accidents. But but not meant to kill her. But the thing with that is I don't think that you hit a child that hard and less. You're already been abusive in the past. This is not a smack. Good porn. Well, who's who's the flesh -ly? They think. Well. Yeah. In that documentary? I was talking about they said that the flashlight fit exactly into the fracture of mini skull your. So he thought that was the probable weapon delivered with good amount of force. He yeah. But it was a heavy flashlight. So that's the theory, that's one theory. And then when you analyze the handwriting of the ransom note, John Ramsey was cleared, the possibility of having written the note, but Patsy could not be eliminated. So handwriting experts from the Colorado bureau of investigation concluded that the handwriting. Writing samples showed characterizations that the writer ransom note was none other than Patsy Ramsey. Yes. And we've seen this examination. It definitely does look like her handwriting or does and then possession and another word business where misspelled, but there were other more sophisticated words, I would argue that were spelled correctly. So it's like they're trying to throw the reader off. Yes, seems like that. But you know, it's really hard to write that much stuff. And hide who you are hide your your own writing tendencies, your own wording of things for in the book, we read the head of an expert a linguistics expert from New York who was testified that the syntax of the note was at sees. Yeah. Yeah. There were some things that indicated it was a female, right? There were a lot of things that indicated it could have been her also. The amount of the ransom which you mentioned briefly one hundred eighteen thousand dollars was pretty much the exact amount that John Ramsey had received his Christmas bonus from his company. So this suggests that the person who wrote the note head knowledge of this also typically kidnappers are greedy. And we'll demand a much larger some of ransom. Sure, the Ramsey's. John Ramsey who's worth millions. So it's kind of odd to the police anyway that whoever had written the note was demanding such a small ransom when compared to the wealth of the family. Yes. So let's touch upon the unknown intruder as the killer Lino, neither of us really believed that, but I think we need to touch upon it as a possibility because we don't know we don't. So the note was evidence that would suggest an unrelated kidnapper if you're taking it at face value. But the details, of course, didn't add up for investigators. The FBI stated that the leaving of nearly three page ransom note was something that had never. Been seen before an any other kidnapping investigation. Ransom notes usually very short and concise with just enough details to make their point particularly in this case. The the paper for the note came from paper in the house and the writing implement was from a pen in the house. Yes. So it's pretty much figured that the kidnapper or perpetrator wrote the note in the house. Yes. So if that's the case who's going to write a two and a half page note while you could be discovered it anytime lose other occupants in the house, I know expensively asleep. But who knows on what about the rough draft there the practice knelt? Well, it's not definitively rough draft trial just when you look at the total thing the noted self and those first few characters does suggest it was a practice note. Well, just imagine going to kidnapping and deciding that you're going to not bring. Your own note or even your own paper or pen. You're not gonna bring any weapons you're gonna use something that you just happen to find in the basement. And if you wanted to kidnap her why would you even go to the basement there'd made much easier ways to leave that house with her? The alarm system was not on it would have been difficult if gained interest to the house to that broken window. Well, very difficult. I've seen some reenactments trying to do it in. It's really very small. You can do it. But not without disturbing things that were there, this is gaining entrance. How about trying to exit with an unconscious child? He. Yeah. No. It really doesn't make sense. So to experts who ever had written that note had been trying to hide their educational background to make themselves appear is maybe they were foreign because it said foreign faction, and we know the police confirmed that there were no signs of forced entry on any of the doors or windows. Right. The broken window. Had been broken by John months before he's locked himself out of the house. That's right. Yeah. Broken that window to gain entrance to the house and never bothered to repair the window. So if it wasn't a family member it had to be someone who had a key or at least had access to make a copy of key. Also, the Ramseys they did have a burglary alarm system, but they rarely used it. Now, I can tell you from experience if I have an alarm system by God, I'm going to use it. Sure. Especially when you go to bed at night suckers on right when we're both here not here. And if you have two small children, and your that wealthy find it odd. Now early in the investigation Patsy suggested the possibility of the housekeeper remember as the suspect because the housekeeper headed keep at the house and Patsy recalled that in the months leading up to Christmas the housekeeper had asked for two thousand dollars from the Ramseys to help her pay her rent now another. Time. She said that the housekeeper made an offhand comment wondering if the Ramseys forever worried about someone kidnapping Jon Benet because she was such a beautiful child. But there was no evidence ever found that the housekeeper was a real suspect. I don't see someone asking to borrow two thousand dollars as someone who's going to kidnap a child and ask for a hundred eighteen

"Made a lot of money. He did millions. So shortly after the move. Patsy was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in this. She went through chemo. She took the bedroom next to John Benes. Jon Benet, attended a preschool program her. Church and she was in the daisy troop of the boulder girl. Scouts her summers were spent at another large family home in Charlotte. Void Michigan where she'd swim in a lake rider bike rollerblade, and she did participate in beauty pageants. But she's a tomboy at heart and just love to play outdoors and get down and dirty. Yeah. Which I think is important to note that she didn't always look like that painted up little version that you see on the news shows. I always think that as you see those pictures, she's all it up. He you don't like it. Do you think it's bad for kids to do that Roe, and I don't have any specific stuff? Maybe it's me. Maybe it's just the pediatrician in me. But I look at the stuff, at least the extent the jump in as participating in it as a form of child abuse. Well, I think you're not the only one I think there is a general feeling among people that it's not the right thing to do. I mean, look at that movie. Little miss sunshine. That sure painted it in a horrible light, these beauty pageants. Although I'm sure there are some people that say that was good for them or you're sure you do. Yeah. Her mom was deeply rooted in this beauty passion stuff. Right. I mean in some communities. It's kind of a normal thing to do. But I can see how it might not be all positive, but like you said it was destined to happen because Patsy and jonbenet's aunt Pam also head won the miss West Virginia pageant, and they both competed for Miss America when they were younger. No now in nineteen ninety four pets in her. Mom, Nedra decided it would be a good idea for Jon Benet to compete after they visited a little Miss America. Contest Shamanee was only four when she was put out on the circuit as they call it. She had her first win in Michigan where she performed seeing and tap dancing. And she was crowned little miss Charlevoix inactive over nineteen ninety five. She was little miss Colorado sunburst and in the nineteen ninety five boulder Christmas parade. She saying on a float named the good ship lollipop. She seemed to enjoy the pageants for the most part. But when she got tired of it. She would be reprimanded by pets. See or by her grandmother? She was taught from young age that she should want to win in the pageants. And she was told to give one hundred percent to win a family friend would recall one time when they were in a restaurant after a pageant, Regina was cold. And she. Wanted to put on a sweater and Patsy wouldn't let her she told Jon Benet, you're still on show. So I don't like that that gives me a bad feeling. This is an example of the things I don't like about beauty pageants little kids. Well, you know, I don't really particularly like any kind of pitch it with anyone walking around being judged by how they look whether it's child woman a man anybody even dogs and horses. I don't like it too. Here's his four five six year old kid, and she expresses anything contrary to being in a pageant. She got Yelda. Yeah. I mean, it is particularly abusive for a child because they're not really making that decision. Are they? But of course, having all the money that they had helped her success. She had a huge wardrobe, and she took lots of lessons, different talent lessons. Singing, dancing, all that stuff. Join banana also had a bed wedding problem, and she would occasionally defecate both in her bed in her underwear as well. So obviously pets didn't appreciate that. Because that's not something beautiful weaned as sir. No. But they're not that uncommon well in the whole bed wedding. I've heard a lot of programs that I've looked into before we did this case about how bed-wetting was very unusual. But I don't think it's that unusual for six year old to still with the bed at night. That's why pull ups or selling so. Well, no, I heard the sense stuff that might indicate some depression or some other underlying disorder, but we tons of kids five six seven eight nine ten even that's continued to wet the bed. Well, and there is. Physiological problem. Many times for it right to. And what is that? Basically. It's what happens is that kid doesn't feel the the signals of a full bladder. I'm so they don't wake up sufficiently to get out a bit in p but with time something like if we look at the numbers of bed-wetting each year, there's ten to fifteen percent fewer kids, wet the bed and by the time, they're eleven or twelve pretty much. Everybody's done wetting the bed. It's not necessarily a sign of a psychological problem for her. No, not at all. I didn't even look at it that way when I saw kids that way. So that wouldn't be the first thing you'd go to at all. No, it isn't now the defecation part, the something called Inca priestess, which is kind of involuntary stooling, and the usual reason for this is that the child is relatively constipated from holding school. So you you have to go to the bathroom you try to pass a stool hurts. So you hold it in and that just starts the ball rolling. So each time you have the urge to defecate it hurts. So you try to hold it in and what will happen as you. Build up enough. Still you'll start having some leakage around the edges of the stool accumulated. Daniel get some soiling of the underwear or even passage of little chunks, usually what you need to do that is do a clean out of. Of the colon. Get the muscle tone back in the lower bell. So they can still have to believe when you feel like you have to go. So the important thing here is that there could be just simple physiological reasons for doing this. Okay. The other way they go together as if you've got a lower intestine large, the lower part of the small bell and the rectum, fullest stool, what's right next door to that the bladder. So this bunch of stool in intestine kinda push on the bladder and makes you have to wear so they go together. Well, I think that's important to note because it's been looked at as a possible sign that she was abused sexually abused that. She was under so much pressure with the pageants, but that's not necessarily true. Now, another thing of note is that Jon Benet had frequent cold sin coughs. But that was eventually diagnosed as allergic rhinitis. Any comments on that is that pretty common very common and in nineteen ninety-five? She tripped and fell in a grocery store where she bruised her nose and didn't break it and six months later, she fell again in Brewster left eye. So these seem like normal childhood accidents that doesn't seem like anything excessive or odd to me. But I do think it's kind of interesting that in two years the two years leading up to her death. She did see the doctor eighteen times a lot that is a lot isn't it would sue some kids that frequently. But usually at this age you having one checkup a year when physical exam for year, and if you relatively healthy that might be the only time you're into the Dr. So when visit a year, let's say maybe few other illnesses so three or four but nine visits per year. So a lot of visits. Yeah. Okay. Well notification of something happening at the Ramsey house on the morning after Christmas. Day came in at five fifty two a and that's when Patsy called nine one one. So before we move forward. Let's just listen to the nine one one call. Kidnapping.
