Nasal voice there. Yeah, yeah, on its history. This is for a 60 game season that he wasn't really feeling it and I got to call him out. This will be the first time ever. But I'm going to call out Nicky to tour. He knows better. That's not the way, he said. That might be the craziest game playoff game I've ever seen. He's he knows better. He's seen what the boon game. Come on, man. In fact, I've heard to Touro on a podcast. Where it's. In fact, the podcast. I pull all that pizza sound from Where's okay? I know good pizza. He was on Joey Diaz, his podcast. And in that podcast, he reveals that he was just a little kid. He was at the Christian ambles game. The LCS game. Come on. Beckett was insane. That's I'm saying, right? So that's why I got to call out. Yes, Easy. Bias is really for sure. We all fall prey to it. Jerry Van We all fall prey to it, however, I mean, the way he laid out those scores, it was I mean, it was a rollercoaster lockers man. It was meanwhile, you know, obviously no fans allowed at the game, although another letting Playerswives at games. In fact, the eggs wives were at the game right yesterday. And then the Yankees and Indians wives or their two yesterday now and and so what happens to those with no fans? You know, the Indians usually have a guy in the in the bleachers hitting the drum. Yeah. Pom pom poms. So the guy actually showed up outside the stadium to bang the drum is banging the drum outside the gates. Yeah, But here's the problem when Matt Vasgersian, who was getting really punch drunk last night, by the way, when missed when they brought in Brad hand Polly, he said, we'll hand isn't it Mr Hand is in the game. He's investors and said, the way I see it if he's here and you're here, doesn't that make it our time is what he said on the broadcast last night. Pretty good anyway, so they go to show the guy cutting the way bang on the drum outside the gates. But as they do that, it happens to inadvertently catch two guys getting arrested inside the ballpark because they broke in or some Wow. So you hear a guy yelling? Let's go try. Then you hear the drum investor Jin's very confused because he sees cops or cuffing a guy and the guy's banging the drum. Take a listen. Some guys.
Protesters file lawsuit, alleging Seattle, state didn't act to protect them
"Has been filed by protestors against the Seattle Police Department, which claims police attacked them instead of protecting their right to protest. Those protesters claim they suffered injuries at the hands of officers while they say they were protesting peacefully, Protester Joey Weiser says this shouldn't eclipse the Black lives matter Movement. But the larger context here is that Mayor Durkin leaders within the Seattle Police Department Washington State patrol on the city of Seattle would all rather rain down chemical weapons and explosives on their own community members, their neighbors, their friends, rather than simply hold police officers accountable for killing black people.

"What's that product that cleans out your Sinuses? What's that called new vibe? Nevada? I think that's what the Reds had originated that Trevor Bauer had that last night. Nevada's Yeah, he was probably like to have Joey Votto stick one up each nostril and see what happens. Does clean him out. Boys clean them every power in that postgame news conference, Willie Had the royal You know what rump Thank you. After yesterday's historic performance by Trevor Bauer in a great job by the bullpen, the offense forgot to show up and they squandered every opportunity to give them some help. About the double steal it. I was in the seventh about Votto not scoring on a single to left. Correct. I mean, just just keep naming him off the first the 1st 6th 7th. 11 12 and 13 having base. If you can score that many innings, you're not You don't deserve to win the game. How many reds left on base? Ah 26 at least Last three any more than they had on the roster. Mr Mr Bauer struck out 12/7 scoreless innings. That's the Reds postseason record, besting your good friend Homer Bailey's 11 and Game three of the 2012 and L D. S. Struck out five with a slider. Five of the fastballs, one with Cutter and the other one with a curveball. Freddie Freeman said after the game. He knew what pitch was coming. Because all America Garrett throws is a slider. What about 95 on the hands, Jimbo? What about number one? The heat? Throw out the express throw it. Yeah, every now and then on the hands 95 like Bill Bishop used to do for Bernadette Pontiac. A bit Well, you know that So? Ah, but throw it Reds had more chances. Really? They they loaded the bases one out the 13th. No good. You load the bases would not want out in the 13th after back to back singles by Votto and swore as a nine pitch, walked a moose. The Punisher struck out, Then you throw Jose Garcia up in that situation. I can't hate grounds into a fielder's choice can hit. So they lose it one to nothing about the first inning. First start, Nobody else correct Votto of courts hits in a double play. They stranded the bases loaded in the 11th. Of course. Eso. Ah, you know, maybe the day they'll get that key hit. Or maybe not. No pack up the bags and head home for the winter. Or maybe go to Houston. To play the Miami Marlins. What about that? We'll see what happens the winning line up today for David Bells, so show go Akiyama and left. Cast the Ottos and right Votto First. Suarez, third most Octus Second Waker. Cop on leave after allegedly walking bike over protester's head
"Theater knee for Briana Taylor's family tweeted about this viral video. A Seattle police officer rolling the tyres of his bike over the helmeted head of a protester last night, Ben Crump writes more acts of excessive force in brutality from those who should be focused on protecting our citizens. They're advancing on the line here. Third person is on the ground. He just ran over his foot. That police officer is now on administrative leave on the subject of an Office of Police Accountability Investigation. The King County Sheriff's Office is also reviewing the case. For potential criminal investigation. The identity of that officer has not been released. The protester, however, well known a protest is the trumpet man. His real name is Camille Opus. Oddly, he was arrested for obstruction and failure to disperse Joey Weiser is who took the video of that incident was not an accident. You can see very intentionally that the officer deliberately take his bike and run over. 13 people were arrested. Several officers were hurt and those demonstrations, including one who was hit in the head, you can see here and this picture. This is a screen grab from the video by a violent riot or hit him in the head with a metal baseball bat. The strike so severe it cracked the police officers helmets. Curfew once

"It's true story, man. I'm already thinking like, you know, rolling into Dodger Stadium rolling into San Diego on. Yeah, man. I know you got titties. I know you have. Ah, Bellenger, but over here we got belt, man, you know, I mean, come on, let's go. Come on in here. You weren't saying that in March in March or even July this year, your last like six years for sure. This's kind of more of a conjecturing looking forward, but Buster Posey getting with these hitting coaches and getting with the new ballpark with the no wind, and then the smaller fences and all that and maybe the juice ball. I mean, if you can return Buster's bat I guess that's kind of a two part question. Sean is a you know, Khun Buster, come back and put up these kind of belt like Crawford like resurrections and then be, you know, given what you saw from Joey Barton. We just played a lot of sound from 400 Capital, saying, Listen some good with Joey. A lot of the game was really fast for him. But where you see Bart and Posey fitting together next year and maybe what Posey Khun do next year. You know, I have to forget about Buster. I was telling this offense look for similar, but we forgot. There's another big piece of that offense. That wasn't even there this year that I believe your office going to do him wonders, man. Physically mentally, He's as tough as they get but physically And he could have used that year off of his legs. You know, I mean in the hip on day ailments That have taken over, you know, in the last couple of years, so yeah. And you're right, getting together with the hitting coaches, you know, tweak and some things I don't know how much you need to tweak with the swing. I think maybe just having his legs under him and healthy is all he's going to really need. I mean, based on what we saw back in March, he looked like he was He was going to turn things around this year. You know offensively, so Yeah, I'm excited about him. I personally don't think that we're going to see Joey Barton. Ah, in buster next year, at least early in the year. I think that all the things that they were saying coming into this season and you know that is why they're saying that he was staying at the alternate site. You need wraps him, and he needs more about his plate discipline. He's more pitch recognition stuff like that just means a bath in the minor leagues to the higher levels just to see better pitching quote, more quality pitching toe where You know, he can even find tune. You know his approach. Um, I didn't see that enough consistently obviously think a lot of people saw that lot of strikeouts to some Not really looking, and he's competitive that the play but just been on competitive it that suddenly just if you make if you you know how to pitch him right now, So everything they said was true. But I still I still think that he needed to be at the big in the big leagues based on you know, the short season and just really what you have. There is no good at that Alternate site, right? I mean, facing his own pee, but I could really get Bill to get an evaluation there. So seeing him a cz, much as we did was great for a lot of different reasons, and now they know exactly what he needs to work on. And he'd go to Triple a next year, and we could get those reps that he needs Now. Does that mean he spends a full season in Sacramento? We don't No. We don't know who's gonna back up Buster. Next here. We don't know how Buster see who's going to go. A lot of that will determine out but I don't want the thing that I definitely did. Do the conclusion that he is not ready. He's not ready for the big leagues. I just I just didn't see enough. Um, I didn't see enough. I mean, I just saw a very pitiable hitter and and the hitter and there's some things he needs to clean up behind the plate as well. And you know, so yeah, I like I like the fact that he was there, but I just I don't see him and buster together next year. The path right now. I agree. I agree. And everything You said you had to bring them up. You had two others do nothing in Sacramento. So it was the right thing. That plus they're catching situation was really really dire guys weren't hitting. So it was important to have those catcher interferences. They had a problem with that early in the season. There was like, three or three or four or maybe behind them, and they're trying to get Heinemann that move up in the end, you know? Closer to the plate so you could start stealing some of those low strikes that he was having a tough time early and that led to catch his interference is a really kind of I mean, I think if I remember right, they led to some some big innings and probably some losses. You know if you're breaking it down, and they have the season that comes down to the last game, you know, and you win or lose you win or go home. You know all those games you can look back on their significant He'd say no game, you know, you know the cliche every game matters. You know, but like when you When you're having games during the year, you're not winning. For whatever reason. You don't think they're going to come up and bite you. You know, in the last game of the season, you know games that you should've Winter games that you lose by mental heirs or baserunning mistakes or Catcher's interference is for that matter. Yeah, for sure, it's I agree, and and it wouldn't be a shock to see him if indeed, the world returns back to some semi normal next year. And who knows how that's gonna happen? Joey Bart, maybe starting in Triple A to get some reps before he gets called back up sometime during the 2021 season. Shawn, Of course, you know, e I know as starting pitcher you've always told us man, you need those starters. The problem is Gausman and Smiley. Two guys you want back on this? We're not going to know for a long time. Payrolls for teams air. We don't know, because they can't project how many fans are coming back. They can't project revenue. So it's almost like a big wait and see pattern on the Giants rotation. But I imagine you'd like to see Gausman back and Smiley back in that rotation. Oh, God. Yeah, yeah. I mean, based on what I saw, and these are guys that air almost there. There, there, there at their prime, almost. I mean, just been stone. There's no one. I saw both those guys. You know, they're both thrown midnight fastball. Guzman's fastball in a little bit. You know, you could have a little bit more in there. But you know, smile is coming from the left side. He's got swinging ball, two of them slider and curveball. You know he's got. He's got the foreseen fastball that he can run up to 95 96 miles an hour, Obviously, with Gausman, the split change fast polic and rush run up into the high nineties. With a brake involved. I mean way. All saw it just stuff the stuff did they have this year just shocked me. I didn't realize that both somehow that that had that quality of stuff and then now You know, Gausman's able to locate it doesn't walk anybody. I mean, he pounds the strike zone and you can strike out, guys. You know, it will. It seems like you know, when he gets on a roll him was an immaculate Any of the last game in the last inning on Stephen, You threw 10 pitches and Ah, you know, he threw 10 pitches got three out. You almost. You know, he was one pitch away from having a calculating, which is three strike outs on nine pitches. I mean, that's just how dominant so Yeah, I think that they become priority number one and two. I think the Giants are you Regardless of all this stuff, you know every every club in the same boat as faras What It's gonna look like next year on the payroll, And you know how many fans they're gonna be ableto be allowed back, but I think it's actually break it down. I think the Giants are probably pretty good shape. You know, when it comes right down to a financially to go out, make a run for these two guys. I think he'd do everything in his power to get those two guys back in rotation. Because really If it's not those two guys, you got to go out and get a couple starters anyway, because they're just nobody really who you're going to go to, you know, Death Corinne's Sean Jelly and, um, you know, the two prospects they have down and weighing the guy that got the trade last year. He's kind of a sleeper guy. But there, you know, Cory's a ball, maybe double next year. Wang Pie, double jellies. Triple A You know, you know, it's not like you have three guys that are banging on the door, you know, in to be in a big league rotation, so they're going to need some development as well. Next..

The Secret History of the Korean Bat Flip
"Icl Insane power right now. I don't know how I feel about this. Meantime, is a senior writer for ESPN and NFL analyst on NFL live and yeah, the former host of this podcast. I am the captain. Now you will feel how I want you to feel I think is how this works. People can't see this, but Kabul was doing the thing where he points his fingers at his eyes and then he's pointing them at my eyes and it's very upsetting. So. How did the story which I love so much actually come about what was I think the spring early summer of twenty sixteen, which is important because we are coming off of the two thousand, fifteen mlb playoffs where as I'm sure you will remember Joey Batista flipped his bat which feels almost like I'm understanding what he did after an home run in the Al. Ds. I was between the Blue Jays and the Texas Rangers, and there were much hand wringing and commentary and debate as a result of that critics called the BAP slip disrespectful not only to the opposing pitcher button. The game in general were a player. I wouldn't do that. The fact of the matter is what he did did not offend you just don't sit there and flip your bad especially in the seventh inning but throughout this time, and before that, there were these videos of backflips coming from Korea right where. Korean baseball players were flipping their bats as defiantly as Batista and with great joy and style and panache, and these videos had gone viral in social media. Turk. Looking, looking into it a little bit. There's a there was an account on twitter website called Mike Abo run by a Korean American guy named Dan Kurtz, and so he was sending them out and then they go viral. Asked him kind of how he got into it? He used to live in Korea he was huge. Fan Korean based organization. But then I asked him. Okay. So why why are they? So Common Korea is this normal there why our guys not getting drilled in the head and he didn't know and I was super intrigued by that. So I got in touch with another Korean baseball expert, a commentator for the Daniel Kim who is based in Korea, and he had so many great stories about backflips and what they meant there in how they were so common but he also didn't know why or where it started and he told me you should just come here and figure it out. So that's what I did. So, you actually go to Korea and this I. Remember I, remember it sounding like one of the great expense report boondoggles ever. But you actually go to Korea with Mickey and your story begins in in Bussan right and so what do you actually find when you travel across the ocean and get there So we went to Poussin, which is a extremely large seaside city on the southern tip of South Korea. So they have a very popular team, the low tech giants, and the first thing we do is we go to a game at stadium and. It was revelatory.

"He went two for five. But those two hits came when it really didn't matter to me. And then you had the air on top of that. Which didn't cost Trevor Bauer. But ifyou're Trevor Bauer, I'm looking at Joey Votto like man. You're supposed to be the you know, you're the senior guy here. Your that you hear Mr Red in your Let me down by a lot of ball get past him, and Joey struggled a little bit in the field this year, but on that regard a look at it. Go. Yeah, you get you went two for five. But those two hits one clutch. It's he need. He had a couple opportunities to put this game away. Am I right about that? I I thought about our conversation in the first inning. 1st and 3rd. Joey has a chance to do some damage. Put him in front set the tone for the games that's known for the series and have that postseason moment. I also would add to it this and that. It's a no double. I mean, what are we doing? Yeah, I would have to do this in the 13th inning. He gets aboard with one out. I think he should have tried to score in that ball that Suarez had left field now I know Joey's not fast. It's not. But it's not the last out of the inning. It's not the first time anything. It would be the right now, Suarez then probably advances to second and worst case. You still have a guy in scoring position. I'd like to see some aggressive. This there you're you're running at a bullpen arms, right? You're struggling to school a chance, and by the way If David Bell doesn't needlessly used Travis Jankowski earlier in the game, When Votto gets aboard, Jankowski can score. He scores pretty easily on that. But again, I'm with you. I heard that because I listen to it yesterday. And I heard that went. I don't know I would have sent the way this game has been its scoreless. Why wouldn't you take a chance? That makes more sense to me What they did in the seventh? Yes, Yes. You're completely right in the seventh inning That's needlessly aggressive in the 13th inning. If Joey Votto gets thrown out of the place, whatever sins heroes here, I don't haven't you got a chance? They got a guy at second base to out. Yeah, this game's not turn and it's like no one's hitting the ball. You gotta you gotta guy. Let's let's make this happen because it was six times is that what least what? Five or six times in the game? They had a chance will generally put this In a way, Yeah, they had multiple opportunities, a situation 1st and 3rd. Nobody out three straight strikeouts. They tried to bunt with Barnhardt. They pinch it is show Go struck out on his one at bat. But show go was lifted with lefty on the mound in favor of Freddy Galvis again. I'm not sure there's an appreciable edge. And, frankly, for a team that was having a hard time just putting the ball in play yesterday, I'd first show go to do that more than Freddy Galvis. It he just burned through. Dudes had that came granted. We don't have the pitcher batting right now. So you're not, you know, scrolling through pinch hitters. On that game gone 14 innings. David Bell is out of bench goes. Yes, yeah. Just there was there was over managing. There was needless, managing, that was bad baserunning. But more than anything, there was a clear lack of timely hitting in the first inning for me set the tone for the For the day. Okay, And I think you know, I'll defend David Bell a little bit here. McGregor in that, all right. You're going to Atlanta you team to can't produce you can't produce any runs. Maybe he's looking to say if we win it your three game series at first one is so critical right? It's a monk After back, maybe specials card table going. You know what? Looking at what he's got today in Luis Castillo against Ian Anderson was like if Trevor and if you get one with Trevor Bauer, it's not gonna happen. So maybe pushes all his chips on the table that I don't mind as much and it will exhaust everybody. Tomorrow's a fresh day. If you're there, it's it's fair. If you're if you're doing it with a purpose again, What's the point of Matt Davidson for Curtis? And why do you take Jesse? If you're going to pinch run? If you're going to put Travis Jankowski in the game, let him be lead runner. Instead, he's on first base with a guy in front of him. That's not the important run. You liketo have it, And I just We saw that occasionally this year where a guy would be taken out of the game for a pinch it or pinch run appearance. And then that person spot would come up later in a situation where you would like to have them. And when David Bell would make the move, I would really wonder what EJ are You really gaining here again? The the seventh inning thing before that the baserunning buffoonery. Nothing against Matt Davidson, who has one of the biggest hits of the season, a Grand slam in ST Louis. In the game, they came back to win, but Curtis Alley Matt Davidson, then means Tucker Barnhart's going to bat every single time His spot comes up, and especially against lefties. That's not something I want. And you saw that bear out later in the game. All right, Mow Eggers with us on again. We have Reds baseball at 12 08. Today, it's win or die. For Cincinnati. It's a simple is that Luis Castillo and he and Anderson will talk about the chances that he has today provided the Reds Khun play to run here, too. And we can't even talk about Friday tomorrow because if you don't win this one today, it doesn't matter. We're back in about four minutes with reds on radio at 12 08 today here on 700. The.

Regis Philbin Was an Entertainer In the Truest Sense
"Was talk. Regis Philbin. You know the connection. Our friend Frank Dawson. The loophole Sapporo have Valley Hall of Fame. The coach Lou hold too many others. This was a guy who was larger than life. And as I've been saying all day, and I said it before David Letterman, but I totally agree, he said he is a significance to television as Johnny Carson and this death is as big as the death. Of the Great late night. King of talk shows Johnny Carson as it is to the king of daytime television talk. The man that wrote the book. Regis Philbin, Teddy. Well, you know, we had the honor of having him come to mountaineer and perform at the harbor with Don Rickles and Regis was a heck of a singer and musician. A lot of people didn't really get to see that side of him that often. They saw the talk show entertainer, but he was an incredible entertainer musician. And then when you you matched him with Don Rickles that we had it who we had at Mountaineer three or four times, actually. But, uh, it was just an incredible show, and I got to have dinner with both of them after the show, sitting in LabOne be a great restaurant at Mountaineer. And it was just a thrill. I mean, it was. They brought me back through the Johnny Carson through Frank Sinatra and all of the relations that they had going back throughout the history of really Entertainment in America as we know it today, Post World War two and it was just fascinating. The 88 years old but was probably in great shape. I haven't really seen much of them in the last year, but He loved to work out. He was really just as nice. A man and a person sitting and having dinner just as he was, as you saw on TV, so I have nothing but great things to say about him. And and when you match him with Don Rickles It was just out of control. I mean, they were so funny and great together, you know, and how loyal he was to his friends. Digger has so much meaning our friend Frank Dawson. To promote this region and I alluded to on social media yesterday, did it again today and on the radio First thing this morning, Frank Dawson did amazing things he would actually get introduced in the audience tonight during that television show when it was live being seen locally on Channel four across the country through the Great brand, that is Disney. They formed a partnership of bond there, he would actually come to speak in East Liverpool. He was on the steps of the Carnegie Library downtown across from the alumni building in East Liverpool. And he loved Dean Martin. Obviously, he worked with Joey Bishop for a while, he took. Who wants to be a millionaire into the biggest thing? Maybe since gaming has been permitted in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. I mean, people loved it. It was like a wagering on your favorite team. People gravitated to it. Millions of viewers. It ran them more than one night in prime time and anything that it went up against it beat. This guy was a communicator. But as I mentioned today, Teddy, he could talk just about any subject, and he was also when he had to be a great serious interviewer to so Regis Philbin may have seemed like the kid next door, but he really was a heavyweight in this business. Absolutely. Buddy was like the kid next door. He was like your next door neighbor and you sat down with him and just like people got the CM on Regis and Kathie Lee, how he was able to just talk with anybody about anything sports. He knew everything about sports. Entertainment. He knew everything about entertainment. You get into a Wall Street, you know about Wall Street in things that were going he was, and actually an aficionado of of the market. So It was just it was just fun to be with him. Hey, how

One of the things that we're seeing here in the upstate and, unfortunately, it's one of the things at the upstate lease estate in as I understand is the impact of Opio at the opioid crisis. We hear a lot about this. But give us a thirty thousand foot view of what the opioid crisis looks like here in in Greenville. And what that means. Yeah. So Jerry, we we struggle between our county and the coastal counties with with the opioid crisis mostly for South Carolina and here in the upstate. We have a dubious distinction of actually having the most opiate overdose reversals in the state. We are the most populous county, and we have the most reversals and not the highest overdose fatal rate or. Metality rate for the state because we are quipped EMS fire personnel and police and sheriff's personnel are quipped with a life saving drug naloxone. And so we've administered that seven hundred ten times actually, more than seven hundred ten times between the three first responders to to really reverse the effects and safe people. And we have in fact, saved many many people from from dying from overdose here in in Greenville county now that seven hundred plus over what period of time is that's just that's just twenty eighteen while. Yeah. Well, his twenty eighteen when you look at this and just at the national level in two thousand sixteen there were sixty two thousand four hundred ninety seven fatal overdose related to opioids heroin and fennel and largely fennel in two thousand seventeen that increased to seventy thousand two hundred thirty seven so we're still on the upswing with his. Pedantic? And if you put that in comparison anything put it an all Vietnam, they were fifty eight thousand two hundred twenty casualties. And so in two years alone. We've more than doubled. Kim Miller came to Greenville in the fall of two thousand and fourteen to become Greenville's twenty-six police chief he came via Charlotte Mecklenburg in Greensboro, North Carolina, and is really known for community policing. He believes that the community should be Imbaba. He was quoted in the Greenwood news that first week on the job is saying my role in managing the police department is making sure we're meeting the needs of the community were part of a community not apart from them. And chief welcome in your truly. I believe that you blew that believe that that your men and women need to be out on the streets and becoming a part of the community in which they serve it will. Thank you Joey for having me on your program. I I do believe that. And I believe also that the safest communities are the ones where police and community are working together to ensure that everybody is safe that we're all taking our part in ensuring that we're not gonna be victimized. And that our neighbors won't be victimized. So working you have to work in collaboration with the community and an number of service providers and businesses throughout our community do that. I'm glad to say in the coming weeks. We're going to be visited by the teeth. We're calling it. We're gonna call it a minute with Miller. Yesterday. We had an interfaith group tackle and issued that is taken the forefront in in our state legislature compassionate Care Act. And I gotta tell you chief. I've been surprised at the reaction that that I received a from a lot of different people around the community with with the whole issue of marijuana. And of course, the compassionate Care Act a tackles medical marijuana. We're not talking about recreational use here in South Carolina yet. But but groups who have gone down this path in other states have said that will you get medical marijuana. Then recreational follows close behind we won't get into that discussion today. But but I was surprised at an interfaith group of supporters yesterday in in the UK in Columbia rabbi, Eric Malo addressed a small crowd there in the statehouse rotunda saying it can lift up those in pain, it can lift up those who are suffering provide them the relief. They need other pastors offered their support. Port of medical marijuana. This is something that that I'm totally opposed to and a while back you in a news conference. You had this to say all across our great state wonder about the position of their police chiefs with regard to legalizing so called medical marijuana. Unlike our elected representatives as appointed officials we are unable to take positions on legislation that our city councils have not otherwise formally adopted. And so our voices can really only be heard through our association and the association that unites us, but let me be clear there are no police chiefs. No police chiefs in South Carolina who support this legislation keeps him Kim Miller of quickly. And and we have about a minute left. Here talk with us about law enforcement position all medical marijuana. So medical marijuana has. Has has been introduced in a number of states, and that is often the battlecry for the legislators pushing that it's been it's been done. Elsewhere. So why not here, we are certainly compassionate toward people who are enduring chronic pain, chronic illness. But there are other ways to treat it medical marijuana is is actually more intense oftentimes has more THC level than than your the stuff. You buy on the street, and you can pay more money for more intensity. And so there is no prescription it's not prescribed by doctor. It's not distributed by pharmacy. It's not controlled and in any environment. So the more money you have the better the quality stuff you can buy and you can buy what you'd like, and you can self medicate. And that's always a problem. You know, people work they were. Around heavy machinery, they operate vehicles. And a you can be intoxicated on medical marijuana or marijuana. And we think that it it will create a an enormous public safety concern Greenville police chief Ken Miller. Thank you again for it goes by fast, doesn't it? It does Tom TOMS up. You know, sound nice. No sound. So I'm looking or a thirty minutes. Thank you. You're going to be back with us again next week. And again, this is something we're gonna be doing over the next few weeks talking about issues that we're facing here in the upstate and especially law enforcement chief preset you being here this morning, and we'll get back to more of your phone calls and your comments on the big rock Tech's on eight seven seven two three five nine four zero five.

And of course, Tuesday means that we check in with congressman William Timmins for our Tuesday with Tim congressman welcome in good to hear from you this morning. Good morning. Great to be with you. All right. I gotta tell you. I'm a bit disappointed here. Because I'm I'm looking through this list of the documents that's been requested by your colleagues over in the judiciary committee. They're it's pages and pages long. Here of owning request is almost like. If you if your names on on this list, you're nobody in DC. I'm disappointed. I'm not on the list. I don't see your name on there. Either congressman everybody else's name seems to be. Seems a big fishing expedition expedition, and it's gonna be interesting couple months. I'm honestly, and you're an attorney. What are they trying to get here? What what does Jerry Nadler think he's going to accomplish by sending out an and his truly it is a fishing an expedited and a wide net. He has cast. It seems that they wanna make this next election cycle about investigations and investigations. And I think that's not a bad thing for our prospects in twenty twenty I think that the president's gonna keep working hard. And we're going to do our best to get this country on track. And let them talk about degree new deal and socialism and Medicare for all and how to bankrupt our country. And I I like I like that that conversation. I know how ends up we all know how that ends. And you're right. This is probably good news is just a little weary. You know, we've been through almost two years now of Robert Mueller's special counsel investigation. I think it's we're gonna find that he found nothing. And and so now we were under starting another investigation here, and he just kinda wears you down a bit. But but you're right. I mean from pure political standpoint and going into the twenty twenty elections congressman, you know, it's probably good. For us because the American people just truly see who the Democrats are. That's exactly right and Robert baller. Didn't find it with all of the resources. He had congress definitely not going to either. So, and you know, I think it's important. Remember the mothers investigation yielded, nothing. They were number of indictments and guilty plea, but they were completely separate and apart from the purpose of the investigation which was to determine if there was collusion with the Russian government, which was not a good point. Good reminder that all of the the indictments had nothing to do with the purpose of the investigation. Congressman Tim also your house colleagues the Democrats in the house drafting a resolution condemning anti-semitism and they plan to introduce it on the floor. We understand later in the week over some controversial comments by freshman, Representative Ilhan O'Meara, what's what's the word on Capitol Hill. This. Well, they're just a number of freshmen that loved to talk as much as possible. And I've taken that produce that I'm gonna learn the procedures of people and the policies before open my mouth, and I've been reminded often why I've taken that approach and thank you for doing that. Because I listened to some of the things that some of the your freshman colleagues say I sit here, and I scratch my head, and I think truly did your the ger mama and daddy not teach you to sit back and listen before you speak. Well, between Ilhan, Omar, Rashid, Salib and. One of my personal favorites. A oh, see they really are the gift the keeps on giving that is for sure. And as you said congressman William Timmins, that's just has to be good news for before the Ribble Republicans going into twenty twenty. Yesterday. Congressman William Timmins represented the fourth district. We always appreciate you checking in on Tuesdays with Timmons, and you know, just be safe up there. And thanks for what you're doing. Visit our website ninety four five the answer dot com like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter at talk non four five. It's seven fifty on a Tuesday morning. And that means it's a Tuesday with Tim owns a congressman William tenants from the fourth district. Welcome in who's good to see you yesterday at lunch at first Monday was at not just a a wonderful meeting. Daily. Good morning. I thought Senator Graham did a fantastic job. I'm so excited. He's fully supporting the president on this upcoming battle. We're going to have over immigration in the wall. And I just think he's going to be a good day. And I'll tell you congressman what just really warmed my heart was to see the room. Literally packed. I mean, there was not an empty chair anywhere. It was just encouraging for me to see that many conservatives in the room supporting the Senator supporting us appointing our president, but engaged, you know, interested in what we're talking about. I saw it again last night. Congressman I went to the Greenville county GOP's meeting last night again in overflow room. Was just tells me that that people who are concerned about the direction our country's headed conservatives Republicans that that we're ready for this fight if we need to take it to that degree and to be involved in our process, and that has to be encouraging to you as well. It is Joey and I hate that. I couldn't be at the green accounting party last night. I had to come back to DC. I got a big day to day. But you're exactly right. We're fighting for the direction of our country. And the the left is really just got some crazy ideas. And I'm up here. Doing my best to keep them in check and try to get back on track. And that is a big job to keep them in check. Congressman the American people. Of course, it is a big day. A we'll be watching the present tonight the state of the union and we've been talking some this morning congressman about our expectations. What we expect the president to say did nine, and what that message is tell me what you expect to hear from the president tonight. I the going to give a very positive message of opportunity the direction of our country shifted drastically the last two years the tax reform Bill has created economic prosperity deregulation has well businesses to invest, and we just made a lot of big strive. But we really have come to an important. I it's a turning point. It is it is whether we're gonna fix emmigration system secure borders together or whether he's gonna go it alone. And I think he's going to speak of compromise. A coming together to to fix this problem in the way, it should be or allow him to just declare an emergency and secure the border unilaterally. I don't think we've got a choice anymore. I think it's either congress secure the border, the president is and I way we're going to order the talk with us in her gram yesterday. And he was on my show with me earlier this morning and any made. An interesting comment to me because you know, he said that actually the president does not have to declare an emergency that, you know, the center center Graham, seems to think that the president can just like he deploys troops down there that some money can be reallocated within the environment of the fence. And and just go that women what are your thoughts on that? Does the present even have to declare an emergency. Or can you just take some the money that's already there from the department of the fence? Has spent a lot more time with these legal issues than I have. But I do think that regardless of how done the president has the authority to do it. And I probably support in doing so should congress. Not. Yup. Now, do you think and I asked the center of the same question to, you know, we're talking about this deadline if every the fifteenth and the present said Sunday with Margaret Brennan that he was not taking off the table, you know, the idea possibly another government shutdown, but I don't know that there's going to be any different outcome. I don't know we can expect a different outcome because it appears the Democrats have have dug in. So what is the answer? Well, I think that Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer have dug in that. I think that they're blinded by their hatred of the president a lot of my freshman colleagues. And a lot of Democrats just think that this is off a bit confusing. Five point seven billion dollars for worship thirty is a drop in the bucket, and it is badly needed objectively. So if you look at it from a policy perspective, there's really not a lot of question as to what the right thing to do is going forward. But I just think there's the personalities involved that are making it really challenging to find common ground and find solution. But there is a group of legislators that have been meeting over the last week, and we'll continue to beat and hopefully they can find a path forward. But one way or the other we got us ajar border and congress just has to do its job. I think the American people are tired of congress not doing its job. And I'm doing everything I can to

No has been in operation for nearly four years located here in the upstate of South Carolina seen CMO produces competitively priced high quality manufactured. I'm with the goal of meeting. The needs for all types of shooters from competitive enthusiast who the big game hunters. In addition to Alamo in their twelve thousand square foot facility. They have the area's only indoor range, and I'm proud to say that CMO is one of our new local business sponsors hero ninety four five. The answer. You're going to be hearing a lot about this. Great local business located at eighty to eighty seven Ashra highway in bullet spring, South Carolina. I s Leslie Harold the owner to join us for few minutes today. Lesley's good to have you as part of the ninety four five the answer family. Let's talk for a minute about how you became the owner of CNC ammo to give you some prior history just to see and see Indo range was prior in law enforcement and started remanufacturing munition company from a house as a side job mas- working law enforcement. You have to have a side job to make. Meet. So that's what I chose. I enjoy to do. It is a hobby in the hobby eventually turned into a career for me. I'm so started that that business about six years ago manufacturing munition opened up a retail store and Calvin South Carolina. The Masek it location in Greer both small locations. Small clientele on the road a lot doing gun shows. Travel from Tampa, Florida to Indianapolis Indiana out west fours, Tulsa, Oklahoma house. There's lots of traveling build net business kind of building that brand. Then have the opportunity to purchase an indoor shooting range bomber formerly. It was called the fire in line in this business wasn't you know, a very popular business. So to speak not it was the only indoor range bomber county. And to this day is still the only indoor range soon allows presented with this opportunity and looked into it for the first time and in a past. They were asking too much for what they were offering and about six months later. I was reapproach the the purchase and they dramatic reduce the call. Of it. And so I looked at it in a wife about it and made a decision to purchase it and did so in October two thousand seventeen so mealy I changed the name because I wanted to customer base that the prior owner had to change dramatically, very small customer base. The places wasn't the most popular place to go to initiate be. You know, those nothing in Cherokee county, no indoor inches issues. Those lots of customers that could have that weren't there. So Millie changed the name and changed all aspects of that business in Jalan operating one from a training aspect from price in the biggest customer service. You know, when I bought the place in October two thousand seventeen was twenty seven members total when I bought the place currently and included members being a four member family, which I thought was extremely low after about a year in I think we had over three hundred memberships I think we're currently sitting about. Three hundred and fifty memberships that's not including members. That's actually memberships. Whether it's a member of Warner four, Leslie one of the objections. I sometimes hear from people as far as having guns in their home. As is they're they're just afraid of them. They're they're prayed to have them around for their kids to be in the house. You hear of accidents happening a people getting shot accidentally because someone just simply doesn't know how to handle our talk with us a minute about what you guys CNC ammo do is force firearm safety. I mean safety is huge when it comes to farms. You know, you just don't turn sixteen and start driving vehicle. You have training prior to doing so anything that he calls great bodily injury. You're going to have some type of training in respect to that. So in in our huge is mentioned earlier about accidents happen with arms will accidents going to happen. But most of these accidents can be prevented with proper training with the owner standing of of how to properly use a firearm, Leslie. Herro with me today, owner of CNC ammo in bolan springs and improv new part of the ninety four five the answer family here. You're gonna be hearing us talk a lot about CNC ammo have a wonderful facility over on Asheville highway and bullying springs, Leslie, Wednesdays a special day CNC talk with us about it. We'll every Wednesday is laid as at the SEC and no range, and that's all day embedded with that means is they get to to come in and shoot for free on Wednesday. And it's huge for that. Because if you imagine yourself and look at the whole Jon Rao of the gun industry is a very masculine dominated industry. So if you if you take a female in just enter them into that, they're gonna feel somewhat overwhelmed, basically, the same thing if we walk into a candle shop, we probably don't have as a man don't feel the most comfortable. So we want to invite him to come in to feel comfortable and just to make sure they're going to understand. We're we're going to you know, work within through the process. And better system. And whatever ways we can, you know, we offer training we offer individual training as well, as, you know, small training or advanced training as will. But when these females come in, you know, were, you know, lot of times were one on one with them if they've come into a range of never shot. We're not going to simply put them on the rains say have good day. We're going to spend that time with them with no extra charge in make sure they understand the safety aspects of shooting. So we tried to emphasize this on weekly basis on this day. Now, Liz Lucy, and c MO you guys produce custom ammo, tell us the significance of this, and why would someone need their own custom ammo? Yeah. We produced a solid. Copper self defense. Mccall the Essex p this is actually kind of two lines. It's one of the self defense in one as a hunting ground and we've done lots of testing through ballistic gelatin and lots of rounds or. Inferior for what the company advertises one thing. That's that's very important defense ammunition is the penetration. If you have over penetration in a self defense, ammo, you know, you're liable for that. But when you squeeze that trigger, you know, God forbid, you have to squeeze had triggered you're responsible for where that bullet goes word ends up. So if it exits the, you know, the perpetrator you're shooting and hit someone else you may eliminate a threat, but you just created a liability for yourself. Also, Leslie, another service that you provide is CW P classes, we all know the importance of having that CW people talk with us about the process, and and how and you have the classes we host a C P currently every other weekend, we cap it at fifteen we we have room to do more. I think it's important to have that good ratio for instructor to students, and what we offer our class is all inclusive class, it's sixty dollars for the class, which include your fingerprints, we feed you lunch today the class and afew complete that class. You actually get a one month range membership and the importance of this of the of the CW p is just because you have a firearm just because you know, how to use it doesn't mean you're legally able to carry this thing anywhere. You want to have in the UP gives you that allowance to care this thing in about ninety five percent of the places you go within the state at your allowed to Carrow care your weapon in Leslie Herrell with me today, owner of CNC ammo, just a wonderful new addition of the ninety four five the answer family here. They have a twelve thousand square foot facility indoor range, they can help you with your your custom ammo. They have a safety classes, everything you need. And plus a wonderful selection of firearms as well. You can find them at eighty to eighty seven Asheville highway and bolan springs. Open Monday through Friday, ten AM to eight o'clock Saturday nine to six Sunday one to six eight six four eight oh, four sixty seven twenty and you can also find them online as well. And it's. "It's gotta be a bitter defeat knowing that Sanford had done the taken the high road and endorsed his fellow Republican over the democrat. She to one believe it or not Sanford, you know, his former governor despite all of his, you know, drop melodrama well known in the pal meadow state. It would have made all the difference in the world, but he wouldn't do it because if his hatred for Trump, Katie Aaronson, of course, was a big Trump supporter. I want to bring in my business manager, dear friend, Joey Hudson who hosts the afternoon show on ninety four five WGTK the answer in South Carolina and get insight because I know Joey you're just as disappointed as I am in Katie Aaron tins defeat last night. It was the most disappointing part of last night. It is one thing for us to have lost the US house, but to have lost. This congressional seat that the first district has South Carolina. It's shameful. Let let me tell you. What Mark Sanford said just a few days ago prior to the election when ask one last time, what's he gonna support Katie Errington? Here's this quote to the posting courier part of leadership at Tom's needs knowing when his time to keep quiet to me. This is probably one of those times is shameful that Mark Sanford did not step up and try to help pay Aaronson win seat. Well, what's really shameful is his pious attempt to pretend that he's taking the high road by keeping quiet. He should just come out and say, I'm a bitter never Trumper the lady came along and beat me on expectedly. I'm bitter. I'm nasty a mad at so I'm not gonna endorse or just tell the truth Mark, Sanford, don't try to take this. Altar boy high road that's not the high road. Why what would it possibly benefit anybody in South Carolina for him to keep quiet other than to stick it to to Katie Aaronson and stick it to Donald Trump? And I think that's the key there might way of sticking it, the President Trump, he man. And so rather than doing the right thing and falling in line that after she defeated him in the primary. He never even contacted her never even call her to concede the race. Yeah. He's a he's he's really a mess. I just I hope he I mean, I can't imagine returns to politics. He said he's not write as he'd done Joey for good into politics. I hope he Don, Shirley, the people of South Carolina. And particularly that the first district down there out there done with him. It the way he did if ego is his Erica. And I it's time for Mark Sanford to stay permanently on Appalachian trail. Go walk on the trail or go to your farm, or whatever just get out of politics because you have you have bitterly betrayed the people of South Carolina because of your blind hatred for President Trump, Joey I said it before you join me Trump, crushes people. He just brakes people. It's the craziest thing I've ever seen in my life. You look at somebody like Ted Cruz who was really the subject. Of really tough attacks by the president. Hey for the good of the country and the good of the party. Ted Cruz is on board. Look at Lizzy look at Lindsey Graham, my gosh, these guys have they they they know what the right thing is to do. They may not like his personality. They may not like being on the receiving end of his barbs. But you know, what they care about their country. Evidently, Mark Sanford, does not any could not have with his actions the last night again. It's just it's crazy, Katie airing. The first of all we met see has been held by Republican as you mentioned for decades. Harrington. What what what have been the first female Republican and Joey Joey what? She was in that terrible car accident after the campaign started she she nearly killed. She fought back went through rehab. She is such a fighter such a strong woman and a solid conservative. What a great story she had for the people of South Carolina. Yes, she did. You're right. She was almost killed just over a week or so after beating Mark van for and again, he never bothered a caller to congratulate not for no heaven forbid. Well, again, enough of the negativity. We've got some great things to celebrate good night last night on unbalanced just very disappointed as as important, South Carolina is to me I was really angry about about Mark Sanford, I suppose we shouldn't be surprised considering the way he has conducted himself.

These kids not suspended. He goes on to say, we can't pray before a game nonsense like this should never be allowed agree with you. Now the texture said, have been working all day. Not sure what you're discussing. This is the story of Mississippi where last Friday during halftime. A high school marching band depicted the scene of some doctors and nurses holding some students who were in police uniforms on the ground with guns as if they're holding them. Hostage is gone viral. The band director is suspended but many across the nation or saying that he should be fired. The Brookhaven school district said in a statement that they had no prior knowledge of this performance and and I'm just asking the question, is it the band director? Should he lose his job. The parents. What responsibility do parents have in this? And finally, the students? Is it unrealistic to think that some sixteen seventeen eighteen nineteen year olds? Maybe maybe some of them should know better to evidently not all the students in the area didn't recognize something wrong here. Here's a few speaking with local TV news station w. l. t. I was shocked at the halftime performance SIS because of everything that act community is going through and. No disrespect to the forest. He'll ever think when they decided to do their performance, they should've took into ration-. We was already going through a lot at this time and we still trying to figure out what needs to be done about the situation at hand. So football and I was bad. I have a passion for music, but and that makes me embarrassed for Vance to, you know, such a a bad skit, this young man makes a lot of sense. I would be embarrassed if I were part of the school and especially part of the school's banned as well. Now, eight text her on the big rock text line says, Joey, don't interpret this the wrong way. Always support any person in uniform, but we need to ask ourselves, did the band director break any laws or school policies before we just demand him to be fired for being stupid? I think Susan Collins has blamed it best end look, yes, we have to have some tolerance. We have to understand this. Do you think that if the situation was such that this band director was a known conservative and had done something, maybe even supporting the police and was like many of you have said today, coaches who lead their students in prayer, even students who lead prayer at Tom's have been suspended. I tax reminded go even pointed out the fact that we've had young elementary school age students who drew toy guns. Or suspended the calls, supposedly, there's no tolerance when it comes to guns in schools. There's so many levels at this is wrong and that the adult in this equation, the band leader somehow missed that. I don't quite know how he could missed it, especially with the fact that his area had just witnessed. Two police officers gunned down two days earlier how he could not have seen how insensitive this was. Christie's in Greenville welcoming, Christie. I Joey just don't happen to me often, but I'm almost speechless. What do you say well to your text? Or who said, are any laws broken? Well, if the laws in Alabama are the same as in South Carolina, then yes, yes, he did because there's no tolerance or guns toy or otherwise. But cutters you name it. So yes, I think he did if they have the same laws that there's no tolerance for guns in school, and then he did. He at least broke a broker rule for school, which could count as a firing, you know. I can't get my words. I'm saying. But. Cruise through just just throw out the rules and the laws and all that stuff. Let's talk common sense. Talk humanity. If my kid was in that school, I'd want to pull them out and I'll tell you this. I have always said that a crew is only as good as the management behind them. So he gets fired. Then I think that the administration that school should at least be put on probation. Texter said from the principal owned down that the principal is responsible for all the people under him or her lately. Absolutely. Because my boss is responsible for my actions that play out in his workplace. I'm just saying, so you know, that would be the same in that school, and I think that the administration should be put on if nothing else on a probationary period to watch that, you know, mind their Ps and qs. Soon them to the corner for us, stupidity break. I mean, you know, yes. Hi, Christie, I'm blown away and I'm gonna let you go because I know you want him down, but I want to tell you I didn't even know you guys existed till few months ago. I used to listen to another right wing station in town, and my kids pointed out to me that they were always calling people names blasting people that didn't agree with them. And I found guys by accident, and even my kids have noticed that when you have a caller that you don't agree with, you are so polite to them and you thank them for call and given their point of view, and you don't allow your texters or other callers to bash them, and you do not call them names and I wanna say you are head above the others cruiser. When you have made Monday. Thank you, Christie, and you have made much actually listen to right wing radio because they're being in. I wanna meet him sometime. Okay. Cures to good out of town that good. Good here from. Thank you so much. Christy, I'm lost words be happy because God's in control.

"Seven, two, three, five, nine, four, zero, five hope. You'll join the conversation. Lots of text messages coming in on this story from Mississippi where Friday. A high school marching band depicted the scene of some doctors and nurses holding down some police officers on the ground at gunpoint. The band director is suspended, but many are saying that's not enough that he needs to go. He needs lose his job. Christopher rights, Joey kids do not report fellow students who are bringing a gun to school, the suit up the school. They're not gonna die. Mount the band director, Jim in powders. Bill writes, Charles is the man. Thank you, Charles for your actions. He's referring to Charles, who was a caller just a few minutes ago who talked a lot of sense talked about how he teaches his kids to respect police officers and encourages them to buy a Cup of coffee or buy them lunch or something. Alleman hendersonville says, Joey. What happened to no tolerance there been kids suspended young as seven for just drawing a gun on paper, pointing a finger and bringing toll a gun to school. So these band members are blameless, right? He's right. He says the band director should be terminated. Eight, seven, seven, two, three, five, nine, four, zero, five. Let's go back to the phones. We'll go to Sam, who's in Clemson, welcome in Sam. How are you? I'm wonderful. Hope you are. I'm doing great. Hey, listen, the the person who just sending the text that was actually made my point about how the students getting expelled for eating the peanut butter sandwich in the shape of a gun for drawing a picture of a gun. So this this band director, there is absolutely no, no excuses. He should be gone and read. I like the idea and this you go for every member of that band. Schedule them running along because how that would be their absolute best way to learn about what these officers go through on a daily basis and you right? Say we have to teach these kids to respect thority. We have to let them say, first hand, what the men and women in blue do for us every day rather than coaching them to be out on a football field owning guns at the, you know, some people have said, well, the kids are just kids. They're sixteen seventeen eighteen. But look. But what better to teach these, if they're just kids what better way to teach kids. The have them see, you know, buying. They were doing granted. It was wrong. It was it was absolutely wrong, but they were doing. They were told to do. You're right and right around they? Yeah. They should've said I am absolutely not going to do it. The pair maybe should if it I don't know who knew what I do know that the band director there is no way mirror excuse absolutely zero knew that it was wrong was wrong will handle. I think back though when I was in high school, I would like to think that I would have known better to do such a thing though. Absolutely. I'm fifty years old and I knew better. I definitely knew better. Realized towns or different now, and I don't know what this area this community, whatever is like, but but you know, the fact that that they had dressed, they were still mourning the police officers just exasperated even if they had a plan at that point, they said, no, that a good idea. But right the we was. We was will we'll skip this part of it. We'll play some nice music entertain you, but we'll skip this part of it. You're so right Sam. We should be. He should be going. Excuse is gone. All right. Broussais to call have wonderful. Thank you. Thank you, Sam in Clemson, pre that eight seven, seven, two, three, five, nine, four zero five one line open for you. Christopher who writes in on the big rock Tech's line from time to Tom says everyone who ever wrote along with me at vise. They were not expecting much at the beginning because it was a small town that Christopher talking about a ride along a number of you have talked about that these kids and the band director should get in the police car and two a rod law, and any of you can do that. Just call your local police department call your sheriff's office Christopher obviously, has been a police officer at some point, and he talks about at the beginning because it was a small town at the end of the ride, they were incomplete shock at what they observed and heard, and I hear that from so many people. Who do a ride along with a police officer, you just don't have a clue of what they deal with. Mike and Anderson also in the big rock Tech's line, if the band director is on the left, his job will probably be spared. Sadly, Mike raider ura you're correct. Scott down in fairplay rights totally sick. This Trump's colon capper Knicks behavior, hopefully many left the game after this. Nothing to do with music fire. The band director. I think scotch voting for dismissal. Eight, seven, seven two three five nine four zero five. Cheryl is in easily. Welcome and Cheryl. Hey, Jerry, how are you today? Wonderful. Hope you are. I am. Thank you. I'm calling about the band director and I fully believe he should lose his job. We had kids suspended and expelled for way less something that a lot of parents. I have have two kids in the band. Often the school purchases, these programs from people who write the music and set the choreography. So I believe it should go further. I think there should be a full investigation because I find it hard to believe that at least the assistant principal or principal didn't know what this program was since it likely to be purchased. Of course, I don't know the school or circumstance, but just, you know, from what I always know, I thought the schools just kind of made themselves up. You know they made up the programs themselves, but that generally, as I. Stand it. That's not the way they work nowadays. So I know our school purchase the program from somebody who writes the composition and music. Ranges scores and whatnot. And then you know, our, our school tweaks it a little bit according to number of members, etc. On and so forth. But pretty much sticks to the way it was. Brings up a couple of other questions. If if that is the case, and I hadn't thought about that, if that's the case, then we need to be finding out who did in fact come up with this crazy idea. And if his business selling this to other schools, we need to be calling knocking on their door, letting them know that this over. But Cheryl, if in fact, let's say this band director came up with his own his own than to me that makes it even worse. Absolutely. You know what? I'm stunned at, whether he came up with it or she came up with it on her own or they purchase it. I, I just find it hard to believe the parents watching the practices. Nobody said anything. You know the kids, you know? Yeah, I believe there should be an investigation and the school should be brought in. I think they should really handle this matter quite seriously, but some somewhere in upper hierarchy of things, something failed terribly. Anybody thought at any point that this was acceptable, especially in this day and age right now. So especially in this community hero where to fleece officers, two days earlier had lost their lives. That's terrific. Show appreciate your input. Have a wonderful evening. I'm getting another text message here of which really brings up. Another excellent thought here is she says that she is a band parent and that she's never seen a situation with her child's ban to wear while they're practicing these routines after school that there's not other band parents standing around watching this. So they probably were aware of what was going on to, and and that just there's even more adults possibly in the equation that could have said something. Is just crazy. "Do. Who do we look at in a situation like this? Eight, seven, seven, two, three, five, nine, four zero. Five, Charles is in Grayson. Georgia, welcome in Charles. Hey, how you doing? I'm wonderful. How about you, sir? All right. I think the first of all the band director should be should be fired. At the end of the day, the band rector he approves the music and routine for go on and he should be because again, we have coaches that are teaching children to do the right thing by praying and respecting I'll national happen and our country, and they get fined for doing the right thing. This direction should be fired. Sacramento. Those students that participated should be suspended off the out of the band. And I saw the parents, the parents. These students could be displaying the action of the parents. A lot of parents have these same sentiment when it comes to law enforcement. I have my daughters than when we go out to eat some time for breakfast on the weekend, and we officers that I let them themselves. They were by officers, breakfast. Got to be like, I let him by officers. Lunch. I let them in with the officer officers has gave them two of their police cars and gave him honorary badges. I let them know that you be the people that you are the respect and they're here to help to. And we talk about the bad when we go through the whole thing. But at the end of the day, at the end of the day, you have to show law enforcement respect because you know, they, they have a job and they have a family and without them and occupy be everywhere. So the band director should be fired. And those students that participated in this should be suspended out out the band, Charles. You make a lot of sense, and thank you for what you're saying, what what you're doing as far as you know, having the kids by the officer, a Cup of coffee or whatever, show respect. I mean, that's what we need to be teaching these kids, Charles. So thank you for doing that and upper. I appreciate your comments here. I'm with you. One hundred percent fill quickly. Tell me where is grace in Georgia. Grayson is is in a winner county is probably about thirty miles outside of Athens, Georgia. Okay, Charles, appreciate you listening to us down there in Georgia. All right, thanks, Allie. Wonderful. Eating Charles makes a lot of sense. I mean, I'm with him one hundred percent. We have to show kids respect for authority. And again, maybe was just coincidence. So I've owned or Android to our big rock Tech's on the Dow Jones. Industrial average plunged more than eight hundred points today is the worst drop in eight months led by sharp declines and technology stocks were told, but I wanted to bring him a friend, Mike Miller real quick. He's the host of talking money. You can hear them each Saturday morning at ten AM Mike. Tell me what happened today. Let's keep it in perspective, joy. I know you're not to remember nineteen eighty seven in black Monday for the market went down Tober nineteen, eight hundred some points, but that was like twenty. Some percent of market at that time. Now goes down eight hundred some point since three and a half percent roughly. So I think it's good to keep those kind of things in perspective. But the biggest reason that that I've been able to find people talk about is interest rates going up, makes it where stocks the stocks that pay dividends aren't quite as attractive as they were with interest rates for nothing that long ago. So now they're going up, people think, okay, maybe I can just I can buy some CD's and get some other, you know, money markets that are two percent or something of that, and that kind of takes away the possessive going into stocks. But I think people need to keep that whole this whole time line perspective, we're going to start third quarter earnings season reporting in a few. And like next week it's all. Projected to be strong again, which tells me that the likelihood of stocks staying down like this is not so great as probably just a little dip we're going to have. We were doing a lot of buying at the office days, so it's good time to. He's just a couple of percent drop. We haven't had much of that. Let's get, you know, get a little bit of a discount anyways. So. Mike Miller saying, what everyone heard from plan I today is. Viewed as an opportunity. Is that, is that what you're saying? Yep. About it. Yeah, and don't keep all your stock investments this this Saturday talking about. I haven't done a full market day in number weeks. So in the third quarter, now this little market drop today. Who knows? It might go up more tomorrow, but someone to update ten o'clock Saturday on talking money. But everybody. Everybody tune in Mike Miller preach calling into that, hey, I got a comment about your your band director, okay, to should he keep his job. So I think that the first thing to do for him, I've had two brothers that were police officers, and I've, I've ridden in the police car with both of them. I think this band director ought to the forced to ride alongside these police officers for few weeks or few nights anyway, get a feel for what they go through and then tell me us do the right thing. Changes tune point that point. Miller always good here from free Saginaw frame. All right. You can hear Mike every Saturday morning at ten AM host of talking money might makes it good point. If you have never done a ride along with police officer, let me in courage you to do so, and anybody pretty much can do that. Just just contact your local police department, your local sheriff's office. This because they're happy to do this. I noticed just the other day, one of our new city councilman in the city of Greenville talked about that. He had just recently done a ride along. He posted his own Facebook, and he says, he's has a whole new perspective on what these men and women do stay and you will, if you see what they have to deal with. So here's what happened last Friday at the halftime performance of forest hill. High school's band students appeared to be dressed as doctors and nurses, and they were pointing their guns at other students who were lying on the ground dressed as police officers as if they were holding these police officers at bay. Now, obviously this photo has gone viral. You can see it on her Facebook page. Go to Facebook, search for ninety four, five WGTK the answer. You see it for yourself. It's been widely reported. It's everywhere. Now. The band director has been suspended for now, but many are questioning if he should even be allowed to keep his job. I had just a minute ago, a gentleman, a vet who is from the state of Mississippi. Graham Allen pointing out the fact that coaches have lost their jobs for praying. And yet this man has his students depicting. These students holding police officer at bay with guns and he suspended, so does it get to keep his job? Should he keep his job and what makes this even more unacceptable? I mean, it shouldn't be done at all. But this is in the same community in the same school district. Where two police officers had been shot and killed in the line of duty two days. Prior to this just last week, the Brookhaven police officers. By the way Gallagher's army might Gallagher's shows a general foundations. Fallen off refund will be helping those police officers by synonym financial assistance. If you'd like to help just go to Gallagher's army dot org, give generously, but this would be wrong anytime anywhere, I think, but especially in a community. That is grieving over the loss of two police officers and you have the students. Out on this field as if they're holding guns on police officers. Now, the Brookhaven school district issued a statement or response saying that it had no prior knowledge of the performance. So who's responsible. Is it solely the band director? I mean, he certainly the adult in the equation is not. This Graham Allen appearing on Fox News. Earlier today says that one hundred percent on the parents that is a failure of parenting that these parents have not taught their children to at least recognize themselves that this is wrong. What's leads me to question to one about the students? Should they hold in responsibility. Should one of these kids. Not have thought, you know, maybe we shouldn't be doing this and and have gone home to their mom or dad and said, you know what we've practiced today or maybe gone to another student or maybe gone to a principal and said, do you know what our band directors is having us do.

If he can't get through just text me a quick note on our big rock Tex there's a pastor in upstate South Carolina who I really admire and who has just a way with teaching the gospel. And I want to emphasize teach him because that's what he does. He doesn't think of himself as a preacher, but as someone who has been called to teach God's work and he does a magnificent job at it. Or recently I was visiting his church and his message could not have been more timely, the title of his teaching, this particular Sunday. And this is just a couple of weeks ago, but you're going to agree with me. I think the title. Was politics and the gospel. And he got my attention quickly when he said, if we do not live the gospel in our politics, then we won't live at affectively in the other areas of our lives. How true is now this pastor? He doesn't tell his congregations how to vote. He doesn't say whether you should be a Republican or a democrat libertarian. He doesn't ask you if you're conservative or liberal, but he does encourage his congregation to be involved to be involved as citizens to be involved in our local government. There's so much talk about the separation of church and state, and that concept is always so misinterpreted. It doesn't mean that churches can't be involved. It doesn't mean people. Faith can express their beliefs in a public body doesn't mean that we can't pray for a government and look, and that's where I'm headed with this because now more than ever we need to be praying. The whole idea of the separation was to prevent the government and telling us what church we had to attend from telling us what denomination it was to prevent a national religion. If you will. As we've talked many times over the past couple years, we live in just very trying times. I've never witnessed such divisiveness such anger. There's just no civility in our political process anymore. So what do we do these past couple weeks is been even worse as we've seen the left just totally crucify judge Brett Cavill and his family. And I say family because you know, last week when he was testifying, he brought up the story of his young daughter suggesting that they pray for Dr Ford. And now the left is even making fun of this young daughter. I think she's ten. The left is making fun of her praying. They yesterday circus protesters. Of course, as I said, continued, they tried their best to disrupt the confirmation hearing again today. Very early on though. Judge Cavanaugh made it very. Clear that a good judge must be an independent thinker saying that a judge must. Have backbone to make the tough decisions knowing. That at Tom's he may make decisions that, hey, didn't say this, but I think is what he was alluding to. He may make decisions that the party and the president who nominates him night disagree with. He said the first thing that makes a good judge is independence not being swayed by political or public pressure. He said that take some backbone that takes them judicial. Forty two. But the the most important thing that he said today was that a judge must interpret the law, not make the law. He says, he stands behind his body of work. He's been on the court of appeals for twelve years. Asking people not to read about his opinions, but he said, why don't you actually read the opinions for twelve years? I've been a judge on the US court of appeals for the DC circuit. I have written more than three hundred opinions and handled more than two thousand cases. I've given it my all. In every case, I am proud of that body of work and I stand behind it. I tell people don't read about my judicial opinions. Read the opinions. I've served with seventeen other judges. Each of them, a colleague and a friend on a court. Now led by superb, chief, judge Merrick, garland. My judicial philosophy is straightforward. A judge must be independent and must interpret the law, not make the law. A judge must interpret statute says written. A judge must interpret the constitution as written informed by history and tradition and precedent in deciding cases of judge must always keep in mind would Alexander Hamilton said in federal Eighty-three, the rules of legal interpretation are rules of common sense, and that's who I won't setting on the US bring court. Not some activist judge who thinks he's smarter than everybody else in the room that who thinks he smarter than the US congress, whose passing the law. Someone who just simply.
