Prosecutors explain this results from the revelation of new facts and the need for more investigation. The incident took place on the set of rust in New Mexico in October of 2021, Baldwin was handed a gun and told it was not loaded. The gun discharged on set injuring director Joel Souza and killing cinematographer Helena Hutchins, Baldwin contends he did not pull the trigger and the gun went off by accident. The involuntary manslaughter charge against the film's weapons supervisor Hannah Guterres Reed was not affected by this decision. David hall's the film's safety coordinator and assistant director pleaded no contest last month to a charge of unsafe handling of a firearm, even though the manslaughter charge against Baldwin will be dismissed, prosecutors say that the investigation is still ongoing and Baldwin has not been fully absolved of criminal culpability. The cost of keeping the marks range from $8 a month for individual web users to a starting price of a $1000 a month to verify an organization since Musk took over Twitter does not actually verify the individual accounts to ensure they are who they are. Criminal charges have been dropped against actor Alec Baldwin in a fatal movie set shooting, charges still stand for the film's armorer, Hannah Gutierrez Reed, who worked as the film's weapon supervisor, was also charged with involuntary manslaughter in the incident. Prosecutors did not immediately comment on the case. I think what's changed is that there was going to be another proceeding in a few weeks the case was progressing quickly and different prosecutors actually took over this case. And we have to basically surmise that they didn't think they could prove this beyond a reasonable doubt to adjourn. "That Demi bought illegal antiquities that were likely stolen and alluded from Egypt and Iraq and Syria and other countries, and she gave her some shit. She's like, these are not so much cuneiform tablets. I don't even know what that means, but it must be something fancy. As much as they are pre nod, dog biscuits. And she said, you better hope they're fakes. With genuine tablets like this have frequently been looted from Iraq. Including to support insurgent groups like ISIS. But it just, you know, it's not only the oracle that bugged me guys like I've been looking at a lot of people's pictures lately. It's not only the Kardashians and the Megan foxes. It's basically everybody. The amount of filtering going on. The amount of things people do to make themselves look a certain way is so alarmingly bad. That I don't have much I just don't I just don't have much hope for the future of this country. The picture of Demi Lovato when this article way too slender, we see now portly she got. And I'm not going to make a wage job. She gained some weight. It's okay, we all do. I didn't know Phil this could be this crazy, and this aggressive. It's very sad that people resort to this. These photo manipulations and, you know, before they post these pictures do they really look at them and go, oh yeah, this is completely what I look like. No, you don't look like this at all, honey. It's all theater. So many things right now in this life are just pure theater. You know, the mass mandate is theater. This is theater. The high gas prices are theater, what's going on in Ukraine is theater, albeit very horrifying and sad, you know, the way that people still think we've got aware mask here and there. It's just, you know, thank God here at the casino. There's no one's even thinking about it. Man, sometimes you see an old person, where when you go, okay, maybe the guys got some other shit going on. You don't want to have any comorbidity problems. That's fine. But no more of that mask nonsense, what a pleasure. You speak about bullshit artist, you gotta bring up Alec Baldwin again. This guy's gap, yap, yapping again. I don't know who the hell is on his side. In a legal sense, but he can not still talk this way. Nothing's going to stop this guy from speaking. His truth, he demands to speak it. His legal team can't stop him, I guess. His wife ain't stopping him. You put this guy in your microphone, he'll start talking to you about the whole shooting incident. And now there was an article in The Hollywood Reporter that Alex truth is that the people who were filing lawsuits pertaining to the onset shooting of the cinematographer Helena Hutchins and the wounding of the director Joel Souza are targeting innocent non negligent deep pocketed litigants like himself instead of the people who likely seen negligent but have no money. Basically he's saying you're not suing the people you know you're not going to get money out of. It's a real shitty way to act. Now I know it may seem inappropriate to keep talking shit about the people who are affected by this guy and the wife and the mother and the father and the husband I mean it's so sad. But he made these comments while he was moderating. Why is he even moderating events right now? Why is he making a movie right now? He was moderating events at the boulder International Film Festival. And he just went off after the moderator, opened the floor to Alec Baldwin, he launched into a lengthy and whatever you want to call it statement about there being just two victims. It's just two victims in the rush shooting. While also implying that some individuals who have filed lawsuits are financially motivated and just going after people, they assume have deep pockets. And right from the beginning, from the moment this thing happened, everybody is put out, you know, besides all the anguish and the suffering and the horrible feelings, everybody has, of course, there are two victims and nobody else is a victim, so to speak. And Alex said, we have dealt with a situation where specific people are not as interested in finding out what really happened. So is fake? This guy just can't help himself. And I gotta be honest, I haven't seen elaria do much on social media lately. Maybe I'm wrong, but I haven't seen her go bananas on Instagram and say things to make her husband look great. But this guy should be smart enough to know that calling himself a victim is awful. But we also know how narcissistic he is to believe that does he really think he's the only victim that counts? He said to the group, what you have is a certain group of litigant son, whatever side, who their attitude is, well, the people who likely see negligent have enough money and the people who have money are not negligent. But we're not going to let that stop us from doing what we need to do in terms of litigation. Why should people if you you're not going to get money? That's what they're doing. It's very hard to sit here and think that he's actually thinking of Elena Hutchins husband Matt functions. In this group of people who are money hungry and trying to get money, but this, I mean, if you saw Matt Hutchins on The Today Show interview, in which he said, finally, that he was really upset and enraged by the fact that Alec Baldwin refused to take responsibility from pointing a gun and his wife and shooting her and killing her. He also pulled out Alec over his bullshit tears and said, are we really supposed to feel bad about you, mister Baldwin? Every time Alan talks, he just keeps making it worse. And by the way, every time he's up there talking, he always looks like he needs to burp, but he can't. Just keep that in mind. There was a time I felt a little bit of empathy for Alec. Remember that funnel of him holding the phone after the shooting? That was rough to see. You know, he was just spilling his guts out to his wife and I guess that's what we call and just spilling about, I can't believe this happened. But everything he and eladia have said and done since this has just shown everybody that just the most tone deaf people self centered people dare I say trashy people shopping in Vermont, getting new clothes, eating and fancy restaurants that are roped off in the fucking windows seats. Give me a goddamn break. You fucking killed somebody, bro hide for a while. And this guy, the poor husband, and the son of Helena. Their lives will never be the same. And Alec is sitting there crying and not being a victim. With all of this says that I know we've talked about this AD nauseam, but all of this sense is that Alec Baldwin, went in there as a producer, obviously didn't have any of his business order, a business shit in order. It wasn't up to snuff, there was some problems we've heard about. Maybe his incorporation paperwork was off. His insurance, maybe he didn't pay for the right kind of professionals on staff. We know that to be the fact. And instead of focusing on that, he's just living this Instagram life with Elia. Sorry, it was my back hitting the wall. Just living the Instagram life with Eli ya. Somebody else who suffered some public humiliation, I got a kick out of this. You know, we talk about cancel culture a lot, and remember Morgan Wallen, the singer, he had a public relations nightmare that could have been limited to get getting caught breaking the COVID-19 rules set by NBC and signing that live when he was going to host that show or at least be the musical addition to that show. And he got voted for the show back in 2020. He got read book several episodes later, but then just a few months after that, a video came out on the Internet. And it showed in casually using the N word on a night that he was a little bit toasted and drunk. He apologized, he said, I'll never do it again. I brought up since then and it's never going to happen. But his tour was canceled, radio stations began dropping his songs. He was banned from several awards shows like the ACM awards and the Billboard Music Awards. Well, here we are here later. And a $500,000 check from his record label and he's ready to resume his career. A few nights ago, at the country music awards, he was nominated for three wars, male artist of the year, song of the year, an album of the year. And that was right before his video went viral and he had to step away for a while. He won album of the year, he gave a shout out to everybody you could imagine. I mean, everybody that was important to him in his life, the fans and the audience were over the moon to see him turn out again and show up and win. But on Twitter, they roasted his ass. You know, Twitter like I've always said, we've always known it's just a bunch of assholes talking shit and they're just the pussy kids in the schoolyard who don't get the attention they need in the schoolroom, but they, in the playground, they become loud and obnoxious. But this guy's back completely. He's back. What is this sense of canceling someone if they come back this hard and when like this, what are we doing to people? It's just getting so out of hand. The cancellation of. Movie stars and singers and what have you and rappers. It doesn't make any sense if you're going to take them back into the fold. A year or two later, McLaren will be hosting news again soon. You can bet Chris Cuomo will be doing something in the next two years. That just don't know what this all means and what it amounts to if these people end up coming back. What's the real lesson? They have all this money. They have all these millions. Does it just mean go home, count your money, sit still for two years? And then you'll be back in the fold. If that's the case, what's the lesson we're really teaching and why are people so adamant to teach it? I mean, this guy he shouldn't be working because it is mullet. Let alone what he said with the end more than what have you, but, you know, I just don't know what they're going with this stuff. They're getting ridiculous. They've got to there's got to come a point where people go, you know what, it's just like people made a mistake. The guy made a mistake. He said what he said, we uncovered old stuff. And you know, he's apologized, and we all need to move on. Except his apology and move on. I keep saying this because I really feel like a guy like me who walks a tightrope every day and says things into a microphone that can be judged and misinterpreted and interpreted and laid its scary and you go, well, am I a day away from not working for two years? Can't we just get to a point where they get to apologize and if it's sincere, we move on with our lives and everybody moves on and it's all good. I don't know. I just couldn't believe the guy was out there again receiving awards and accolades after he was a pariah. Less than two years ago, it just doesn't make sense to me. Oh. There you go again. That was your free show, I guess we're calling it, what do we call it? What do we call it? Because we know what to do with Thursday's show. payments over 29 years or taking a lump sum of just over 75 million bucks I'm Chris garageio I'm Barry riddles you're listening to masters and business on Bloomberg radio My special guest this week is a kinder sing Cassidy She is a tech exec and serial entrepreneur as well as the former president of StubHub Her new book choose possibility take risks and thrive even when you fail is out and is getting excellent reviews Let's talk a little bit starting with your role as president of StubHub what was that like Did you have any surprising challenges You had to deal with in that role I feel like that's the leading question Just a touch But certainly I'm happy to share So I ran StubHub from 2018 to 2020 in that time There's a lot of surprises Some I could have anticipated in some I couldn't First of all just a phenomenal and fun experience If you've ever been in a business of live experiences and giving that gift to people of why there's just really nothing like it And I'm also happy to be a big sports entertainment fan So that doesn't hurt But when I think about the things that we're surprises number one StubHub if you know the history was bought by eBay over ten years ago And so it was an eBay subsidiary And I could have anticipated that eBay would continue to face shareholder pressure because it wasn't growing at the same rate as Amazon and its margins were declining And in fact that shareholder pressure came to pass and activist Elliot two activists joined the board Starboard and Elliott in 2020 No no in 19 my goodness In January of 2019 and put pressure on the CEO the then CEO to sells that hub as opposed to hold it So midway I was only a year into my tenure when an activist joined eBay board and quickly became apparent that we were going to end up selling the company and I was going to be leading a sale process which is not necessarily what I personally wanted But so that I could have anticipated in a sense that eBay had an activist once before And certainly when I took the StubHub job it did occur to me that that would be one potential risk that eBay itself my parents company with face pressure I expected more earnings pressure pressure to deliver our numbers every quarter There was an outside possibility of an activist The fact came in the past and that led to the sale of the company to step up sales The honest the other unexpected event was COVID And ironically StubHub sold for a record stop $4 billion We led a process that led to a successful transaction that closed on February 13th 2020 And I thought as much as I was personally disappointed you know I recognize it was a very successful business outcome And I was going to go have to find a new job because very rarely does the acquired company get to have a CEO around the combined company And I certainly was not getting that job The original founders StubHub bought back the company and he wanted to run the combined company There's a thing with you and founders coming back to run companies That's the keep in mind I've also been a founder three times right So I do understand that founder CEO dynamic and as I said I mean founders have an affinity for their companies that is really hard to I don't know It's just hard to put any price tag or any Sure Let's jump to our favorite questions that we ask all of our guests starting with Tell us what you've been streaming these days give us your favorite Netflix or Amazon prime or podcast whatever's keeping you entertained during the pandemic Sure Well I probably have three that are at the top of my list these days First of all Ted Lasso I know that my family loves so good Such a feel good funny funny show So well done Season two not so good a season one but I will just say we're still Ted Lasso diehards On Amazon a girlfriend of mine recommended mcmafia which is actually a pretty interesting for those of you who like I would say finance or financial services and the mob It's a fictional series on a British Russian financier who gets involved with the wrong folks That's a really niche one and an interesting one It's been a great series to watch Succession I'm waiting for season two and we've all watched the session And then I would say on the podcast side right now actually I am looking to do separate podcasts about Elizabeth Holmes trial once to drop out from ABC and the other one is a bad blood from John kiryu who as you know the original kind of journalist on this story So I like listening to smart people It is just keeping your breath done On the trail Really interesting stuff Tell us about some of your mentors who helped shape your career Well first of all my dad I always talked about the fact that he was a doctor but he was also an entrepreneur And he really loved looking for himself And I think he made the idea of entrepreneurship so accessible for me Remember he's also the guy who told me to take that trade trip down to New York that led to the job of Merrill Lynch Like if there was ever a champion of possibilities even small ones all the time it was my father So he is my preeminent mentor for sure And then I think the other group I'd point to is you know I've been lucky to have a lot of great people I worked for They often are my best mentors because they know me well And I know that well All the tribe jungly we talked about those four Indian entrepreneurs who started that company that I joined I mean my God they became an angel investors in the only my next company they introduced me that opportunity one of them raw shari rom was the first investor in Google So when I made the decision to go to Google and they called me with because rob pushed both of us he pushed them to call me and me to consider it And you know when the situation went awry and polyvore the number one person I called was a guy named Becky Harry and Iraq and one of those jungly founders and the one I was closest to to continue to know me and invested in all the companies I founded And I just said what do I do here And he was the one who could have gave me the look me straight in the eye or these people you tried Do they have your values advice and told me to get the hell out I really consider thank you probably the closest among that group But all four have been very instrumental in my career Let's talk a little bit about books What are some of your favorites and what are you reading right now Well one of my favorites I'm like a very kind of gee business person sometimes I don't like to read all business books but there's some I really love One of my favorites is McKinsey's gross beyond the hockey stick So if you're a leader or CEO who's always for grappling with how to get your company to grow faster and obviously it's StubHub I was trying to accelerate growth.

Alec Baldwin Kills a Cinematographer on Set
"We got to talk about Alec Baldwin. The tragedy of killing a cinematographer on this set of a movie called rust in New Mexico. How weird. How weird that on yesterday's Patreon. I ended the show by saying, and this was before the news had happened. I ended the show by saying, you know what? I want to do some shows next week on John Eric hexum and Brandon Lee, two actors who had killed on set with prop guns. I wish you would Patreon so you could have heard that. So eerie, I'll get those shows to you guys next week. But for now, we've got to try and figure out and make sense. What the hell happened was Baldwin? The Santa Fe sheriff's department confirmed that Thursday night, Alec Baldwin discharged the prop gun that killed the cinematographer, halyna Hutchins and injured the director Joel Souza on the set of this big western feature film on location in New Mexico. Hutchins was 42 years old. She died being transported to the hospital in Albuquerque. Sus 48 remains in a local hospital and his condition is going to be fine. It's unknown, but he ain't gonna die. And of course, they're saying mister Baldwin was questioned by investigators and released no arrests or charges have been filed. We've seen pictures of him and I'm sure you haven't been crying on cell phones bent over distraught. I'm not trying to make light of this. This is horrible. This is horrifying. I love Alec Baldwin as an actor. I hate his politics, but I love him as an
