"Pressure rate, Clowney had to be resigned after finishing fourth and pass rush win rate. He is fantastic setting the edge as well, as you mentioned there. Cleveland traded for chase winovich. I'd assume in known passing situations you can move Clowney inside. You have those three guys on the field at the same time. It's bizarre. How Belichick used chase didn't get much burners or rookie, led the NFL and pressure right among edge rushers in 2020, then played a really limited role again in 2021. It's just very, very bizarre. Linebacker group overall is above average because of J okay. But those de tackles have to keep bodies off J okay, so he can roam around and be a madman. JK's ability to cover and fly sideline to sideline is special. The browns were number one in the NFL and running back past defensive efficiency because of J okay. He's just smaller frames. So you have to have your defensive tackles, keep bodies off that guy. Cleveland's secondary is, they have the potential to be elite. We know what Denzel ward and John Johnson are. Ward's coming off his most complete season, finished 17th and adjusted yards allowed for coverage snap. And for the first time in his career, graded out positive against the run and his missed tackle rate was in the single digits for the first time. Joe Woods likes to play nickel. He lived with 5 defensive backs on the field, 61% of the time. So Newsom, greedy. They'll be out there as well. That's three top 50 picks heading into year two or three. Greedy and delpit bounced back after last season after some injuries, the couple years prior. I think if all goes well in berchet doesn't put this defense in horrific positions, they can fight to be a top 7 type defense. The schedule of offense is the browns face projects to be bottom ten in passing, past protection and rushing. So I would have a stock arrow up here on the browns defense this year again, just don't have Jacoby percent put these guys with their backs against the wall a lot this season. And I think maybe you're going to see another surge here from Joe Woods defense in year three. It's such a fascinating team to look at for all the wrong reasons. Obviously, if you're a browns fan, you'd love to have your full complement of weapons, both on the offensive and defensive side. You know what you gave up to bring deshaun Watson in as your starting quarterback going forward. But I think this is a defense that can use that as a rally in karate your point, come together, play up to their potential and just have to play lower variance games, knowing that they don't have that offense that might be capable of hitting the explosive play in such a timely manner as they would have with deshaun Watson under center. So buyer beware on the Cleveland Browns and you may not want to write this team off for dead just yet, but it will be an interesting watch week to week, especially if they're able to build a little bit of momentum and create continued optimism for a franchise that's really struggled for staying power. The model of consistency in this division over the years pain has obviously been the Pittsburgh Steelers, but they're about to enter into a transition period and we're not quite sure how long it will take for them to raise themselves back up to the lofty expectations that are typically set in the steel city. When you're looking at FanDuel sports book to steelers are 70 to one to win the Super Bowl, they're plus 9 50 to win the AFC north and their wind total sits at 7 and a half. You do have to lay a dollar 15 to go under the total. The Pittsburgh Steelers is a franchise have gone over 500 or better for 18 seasons in a row. Obviously that run coincided with Big Ben's career trajectory. They were extremely fortunate last year in close games going four zero one one games decided by a field goal or less. 8 two and one in a single score football game. So those numbers suggest a little bit of regression. But if they are able to go 500 or better, this run would tie the Patriots from 2001 to 2019 for the second longest run ever, a record currently held by the Dallas Cowboys who did that from 1965 to 1985. Once again, though, this is a steelers team who may be getting back to their roots most expensive defense in the league, least expensive offense, and obviously some major questions, not just about quarterback, but what that group of blockers will look like in front of franchise running back naji Harris. Yeah, I mean, I look at Pittsburgh's offensive makeup. And I feel optimistic because the young skill position talent is absurd. And it almost allowed me to believe, hey, this offense could be scary with Deontay and claypool and friar mooth and naji. And the way pickens is playing in camp right now. My God. He's your guy. He was a guy you talked about at great lengths when he was at Georgia if he could stay healthy and on the football field. Then I'd take a step back and gather myself. And I understand foreign offense to be consistent. The quarterback and offensive line have to be the engine. And I think there's massive question marks about both for Pittsburgh. Steelers offensive line is the cheapest in the NFL. The entire offense, second cheapest in the league. Probably not shocking when your head coach defensive coordinator. And while I love some of the concepts and principles, Matt Canada has offensively with his high motion rates and jet sweeps and you name it. Canada's never proven himself on this level. In year one of his reign as steelers OC, Pittsburgh zero over year offense dip three spots and schedule just efficiency and 6 points per game on the scoreboard. Now I'm going to keep some things fair, right? You have a lot of shape 40 year old Big Ben who can only take shotgun snaps and deals with throwing arm issues. That's going to limit what you can do offensively. He can't be under center. He can't make play action all that effective. He tips run past calls. So that should help Canada having a quarterback that doesn't do some of those things. But it is much trubisky, right? And I don't know what we're going to get from him. I know Mike Tomlin said in his expert interview last year, he wanted more athleticism from the quarterback position. So obviously like Mitchell trubisky does provide that. The quote yesterday from Tomlin was based on pedigree based on past performance, we came in with the understanding which would be our starting quarterback from day one and that's how things have played out so far in camp. Trubisky is apparently separated himself from Rudolph and Pickett after a rocky start the first few days of camp. I think Mitch has to prove it to us, right?

"He's supposed to be the secondary guy. He's supposed to be the I don't know, like his secondary coach, right? Now he's a defensive coordinator. And so secondary is struggling. And you just start to wonder what's going on there. Because you think about some of the money spent in the draft capital to fix that secondary it's been good. The Patriots first drive, third and 8, third and 6th, third and 13. Those are get off the field downs. Those are hold to a field goal temp downs. Mac Jones. 16% above expectation yesterday. That was the best rate for week ten. Joe Woods was trying to prove a point late in that game, down 38, 70, he kept his starters out there. And you hate to say this, but I think the browns defensive players quit. And you mentioned Brian horror, marches down, 95 yards on 6 plays. Ugly scene for us. I know we had a good number under 45 and a half in that game. So you weren't really expecting that. Probably deserve better in that game on the total anyways, right, Baker Mayfield on an interception sets up a 5 yard touchdown drive, you get a fourth and 19 midfield go for it late. That was a weird one. Chargers, I don't think there's anybody that identified the issue before us. You honestly, you get full credit. You called for this well, when things were running well, and everyone was ready to anoint Brandon staley, Joe Lombardi and his chargers offense, the greatest thing on the West Coast, since Sean mcvay took over the rams. He said, I'm not quite so sure everyone should be this excited. And over the last couple of weeks, the regression monster has bitten them on the ass multiple times. Through ten weeks right now, we are. Joel Lombardi hasn't adjusted his offense to Justin Herbert skill set. It's like he still thinks he's in New Orleans with Drew Brees. Yesterday against a Viking secondary. That was down two starters. A defense that was down three starters along the defensive line. He devised a game plan where Herbert's average intended pass was 5.7 yards. The offense constantly throws short of the sticks. The receivers are Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. Neither of those guys are run after the catch receivers. So you can't incessantly throw short of the sticks as well. The Chargers did. Herbert's completion percentage because of it. 12% below expectation. And I get it to your one. Herbert's learning a new system, more has been put on his plate. Not every player is going to match the scheme you want to run because it is your first year there, and you haven't gotten all the parts that you want? But you are in a position to be in first place in the division. You have to be a head coach. Your garnering coach of the year talk brand staley and Joe Lombardi have to be better. They have to mold their systems to the players they currently have. And that's not happening right now. No, they're going to have to be better this weekend too. An interesting gain that's what goes a long way not only in the division as Kansas City now has moved in to first place, but also as far as the AFC pecking order is concerned. Suddenly, the Chargers and steelers could be two teams vying for that bottom half of the AFC postseason birth and a tie breaking win one way or another will go a long, long way. Steelers. Let's give credit to the lines. Like baby steps, you know, you're on the road as an underdog, dome team and weather. We know golf has small hands. So his history and poor weather conditions is not very good. To me, you saw the fatigue factor. I mean, the Lions were off their bi. They're hungry, the Steelers just had the battle late Monday night. The league did the Steelers no scheduling favors this week in terms of rest and prep. The Lions also got healthier along the offensive line. And that is a unit that is by far and away Detroit's best and when healthy, the lines offensive line can be one of the better in the NFL. They've spent some money in draft capital there, you know? But I've been saying this just about any time we've broken down the Steelers. The defensive line isn't what it once was. You can't let javon hargrave walk. You can't let butt to pre walk. You can't have to it on IR and think you're going to be the same defense up front. The secondary couldn't afford two key contributors, they let guys like Hilton walk. So pass Joe Hayden in Fitzpatrick. There's not much there. And Fitzpatrick really isn't willing as I alluded to to be like the most versatile guy. So safety is one of the most valued positions in the NFL, and suddenly you've got a guy sitting back. And Joe Hayden is good as he is. He's 32. So there are some serious holes on this defense coming into the week. The Steelers were 19th in defense of Russia efficiency on first down. The rest advantage for the lines. The O line getting healthier for the Lions. And that being Detroit spec unit against the defense, it's been pushed around up front and first downs, you can kind of see how that transpired. But to your point, Jared Goff wasn't a threat to throw it. There aren't really great receivers. Let's load the box and force some things. I do think right when you have those weather conditions and you're a defensive guy trying to hold up at the point of attack, the offensive line might have a little bit of an advantage there. That probably played a role as well. But all in all, there's a lot of factors on why the Steelers defensive front wasn't the best against the run yesterday. And I'm not going to allow the Steelers offense to skate either. I know mason Rudolph is out there. You weren't sure what to expect. A nice opening drive to go up 7, nothing. But you also can have a veteran receiver who's supposed to be your number one and Deontay Johnson fumble the football and over time when you're in plus territory, pat fryer moved coughed one up as well along the sidelines. One thing I will say though, and it's a friendly reminder, all of you are loyal listeners. If you guys haven't subscribed to the bet the board newsletter, you'd have been sitting pretty with a Jared Goff under two 50 and a half passing yardage ticket that you'd never had a sweat from start to finish as a partial position. So a reminder that there are plenty of ways to get bet the board content. Not only are podcasts on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays, but the articles that were there that highlighted the Detroit Lions is a market move. And of course, the newsletter that gave out the golf prop under passing yards as well. Anything else pain that stood out to you in a negative manner before we decide to eviscerate a potential starting quarterback in Denver as my loan consideration for the ugly category this week? Nope, I will let you lead that charge. You actually texted me and I had to go back and watch it. In real time I wasn't quite sure what transpired at the end of the third quarter when Darius slay picked up a fumble on fourth and short, was dancing around the effort from Denver. I thought the play had been whistled dead. And there's Darius slay dancing down the sidelines and you send me a text and I'm paraphrasing here, I believe it. Well, teddy's not gonna like the way that looks on film. And I'm thinking to myself, what the hell is pain talking about? Teddy didn't do anything there. It was a fumble from the running back. Philadelphia, ice is the game going up 27, 13 and it's all she wrote, well I went back, watch that play. Teddy decided to make a career move, and a body preservation play when it came to not doing anything to try and slow down Darius slay as he's racing through that Denver offense to the House for an 82 yard scoop and score. I'm convinced teddy Bridgewater all he had to do was lean over, and he could at least redirected Darius slay off his path..

"Pleasure. But the good news is I got so much show prep, I read Chris Christie's book. I did an 8 page outline. That's actually a 15 page outline. And I wrote a Washington Post piece that predicts roe V wade will be overturned. So I got a lot done not moving. The unfortunate part of not knowing the fortunate part of the table to watch Purdue get crushed on Saturday, sorry. If Jerry Hendricks is out there somewhere, somebody check on him. That's what they always say about me when the browns get crushed on air. People send me tweets. Are you okay? Of course. Now, by the way, we are at 500 ball. We'll make the plans. We'll be fine. And 5 and 5, you're gonna make the playoffs at fourth place in the AFC north? Fourth place a half game out in the AMC north. We're gonna win the AFC north. We have four games left in the AFC north one and one. We're gonna beat this deal. We're gonna beat the ravens twice, and we're gonna win the division and go on to this. That's why I'm not worried about it. And you're trying to magically heal tomorrow. And the toe will. Well, I was supposed to go today, but the podiatrist I can not do it, so I'm going to novel around. But in the meantime, back to this column. So I was able to write this column on Friday about roe being overturned because it will be overturned. There's a special edition of national view out about the Dobbs case, which will be heard on December 1st. So I wrote this, it's just a simple prediction. It's simply this is the constitution. This is the way the constitution went wrong. This is why I think there are 6 justice, including chief justice Roberts, who overturn roe and Casey and it won't change a single abortion law in the state. It will simply get the federal courts out of this area of the law, which they were never intended to be. 3000 nasty comments later. I must say, I'd really upset the people to Washington Post. I'm here to tell you about now. The key thing. In London yesterday, not London. In Liverpool, a cabbie notices that his passenger appears to be a suicide bomber. And we're putting up the tape. If you have downloaded the Salem news channel, you will now be watching the video of what happened. The Salem news channel is an app that you ought to get every day because I show you videos like this that no one else in America asks because they don't get up early enough to do the news. So in Liverpool, the cabbie gets a guy gets into his car and he looks him in the back. You know, cabbies, we'll get you. Look at they always look into way and they say, who is this guy in my car? Because he looks like Lex Luthor meets the band director. And so this guy gets in the car and he figures out that the direct, the direction being given, he Edmund quota, his name is Dave Perry. Somehow the terrorist suicide bomber gives it away. Maybe his coat was bulked up. So I want to go to remembrance Sunday at the hospital. He wanted to go to somewhere where they were doing. It's called remembrance Sunday and Great Britain. They also have an 1111 remembrance day, but then the Sunday after there are church services and gatherings in its poppy day, where you wear the red poppy and remember it's a World War I. Cabbie figures it out. Drives to where he figures he can jump out and run and let the car drift and he did. He jumped out, let the car roll to a stop at a traffic circle. Where there was no person, car blows up, killing the suicide bomber and nobody else. And the terrorist police are arresting everybody in Liverpool. This is not a good day to have booked the tour of The Beatles on the bus in Liverpool, which I have myself done, but it's a great day for heroism and fast thinking. So our hat is off and if you download the sale news channel in the break, I will play it for you again so you can see it only you and has this video this morning because after all, that's what you come here for. I will do the rundown because there was so much news this weekend and that's enough of my toe and the browns. Joe Woods either got to change the system or you got to get a new job, buddy, and Kevin pulled the trigger. I'm not going to waste an entire season of the browns because we don't have to play man to man with the best defense in America, stay tuned. Welcome back America. I'm here to do it. It's a manic.

"I've got a feeling morning glory America. Canada, I've got a feeling this is gonna be a wild week when it starts with a terrorist bombing. Undone by Dave Perry cabbie extraordinaire in Liverpool, England. And runs through one of the most common and on columns I've ever written for The Washington Post and continues through interviews today with governor Chris Christie coming up that will be very interesting. Look, it's going to be a big newsweek, good Monday to you. It's not a victory Monday. It's a half victory Monday. It's a victory in England because of the bravery of a caveat that I'll tell you about in a second attack foiled mostly foiled in Liverpool yesterday. You might not know that news yet, but I get up a release so that you will hear it from me first. And then it's an odd sort of weekend. The buckeyes smashed perdue. And then the Patriots smashed the browns. So do both the smash and beast mashed. Is to create equilibrium in the force and therefore I'm able to do the news. I'm not going to be too excited because the bronze were undone yesterday. So I'm done. I'm not sure defensive coordinator Joe Woods makes it to Tuesday. This happened to Ohio State early in the year when their defenses didn't seem to be able to keep up. Brown's got the ball marched down scored. I thought going to be a victory Monday. Everything looked good. We didn't have Nick Chubb didn't have Kareem hunt, but that's our identity. The browns identity, the fans were excited that baker could do it on his own. No, no, no, no. Belichick screwing the brown since 1991. When he was, in fact, bad coach of the browns. He did it again. The guy is Voldemort. Meanwhile, ally checked in with general ishii moment, have you listened on Friday? Now, the generalissimo did the impossible. If I had the impossible dream music I would play it right now if we can go find the impossible dream. General Alicia mount spent Saturday in the company of how many buses would you say? A band people were there. Between the buses and the equipment trucks that carry all the band gear and props and things, I parked and let out a 138 buses and trucks. Other than you're in one piece barely. I am ready. I am so glad to be here where I don't have to do anything. You do, you have to type Chris Christie and that's gonna be like a 6 hour conversation. That depends on you. But I'm hopeful I'm hopeful that you actually go 8 hours with him because that way, I don't have to type until tomorrow. I set the governor and note last night. I said, I read your book. It's interesting. Can you stay long? I'll stay as long as you want. So that's music to Duane's ears. That's Hughes quantity over quality bit. Now the problem that I've got is that I've got nothing else to do because I can't move, because on Friday, Friday was an interesting day for me because on Friday, you know, I'd taken my relief factor during the show, when I did my mild, came back, took a shower, and then I don't know how it actually happened. We're not with you all day that day. I was with myself all day, but I don't know what happened, but it's the endgame. This is not the morning newsbreak, but this is something I think every spouse will appreciate in America. Somehow I broke my toe and tore off, sort of tore off the top toenail of my big toe, exiting the shower heading to shape. I don't know how to shave your toe. No, I did not have a razor at that point. But. Okay. And intense pain having thought that I had just broken my toe. And I may not have broken it. I don't know. I haven't been able to relief factor work on the toe department. It does not the relate factor does not work on this. I bet the toe at about a Han. It's not a hundred. It's like 270. Did it look like that NFL injury? This weekend. And so what I didn't realize is that when you do that, you kind of sever the toenail that you begin to bleed profusely. So I'm hopping around just maybe some bad words escaped my voice. I'm not sure. So you basically look like a browns fan at that point. At that point, but as I came into the hopping around person as I was, as I came into the world, so I was, the fetching misses Nyholm. So I hop around and I threw out the one thing I didn't do is I throw this into get all the gym clothes and put it in the dryer. So I hopped over to the dryer. You know, the pain the tears are upsetting. Then I realize I'm breeding profusely. So there is on the carpet. It appears as though I murdered someone in the bedroom. It looks like only murders in the building. If you watch that. CSI beltway. It could have been there. Well, when the carpet cleaners got there the next day, they asked what had happened. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. The carpet cleaners? Yes, because I got what I realized I was bleeding profusely. I did the best I could. But I couldn't do much because literally when you rip a tonia off, it is, I think it's like severing the artery in your leg. But there was enough blood there that it appeared that there had been a gun battle inside of the bathroom the shower and the laundry room. But the fetching this is completely understanding. Not. Oh, I'm sure she was. I've known her for a long time. This one is you. But I'm sure she was understanding. There's a first in every marriage. That's the first time in 39 years that I've left enough blood on the carpet to appear to be a set in an Alec Baldwin movie gone wrong. It was really a nightmare of carpet cleaning. So I have spent the day since we last. You are doing the best thing. I just didn't immobile. I did go to a wonderful bar mitzvah bat mitzvah on Saturday night. And Vivian, if you're out there, it was the best I've ever been to. It was extraordinary smashing success. You look terrific and you sounded great. Your mom and dad were terrific and I had a great time hobbling around. But it was like a black bean moment, right? Just a flesh wound?.

"Most importantly, follow the podcast at bet the board pod. We do have an interview coming up later in the show with John sheer in a FanDuel sports book to provide a little bit of fresh perspective from the other side of the counter, encourage all of you guys to stick around for that as well. From the early morning schedule at least for those of us out here on the West Coast, it's actually pretty intriguing given what we were fed last week to the afternoon. Where I think this is kind of The Crown jewel. I know Dallas and New England will get a lot of the buzz in fanfare. I think Arizona at Cleveland, a much more fascinating football game than that, you're looking at the browns, a three point favorite trending towards three and a half at FanDuel sportsbook total in the game sits at 49, and pain when you look at Arizona, the one thing that we've seen from this team aside from their undefeated record, they've thrived in the role of road underdog going 9 three and two against the spread with cliff Kingsbury and head coach and Kyler Murray as their starting quarterback. They've won all three of their road games so far this season by double digits wins at the Titans, rams, and Jacksonville Jaguars, but it does not appear at least on the surface that mother nature will be the best friend of the Arizona Cardinals as we get into the middle of fall in Cleveland and some major concerns about the health of a few key contributors for this Arizona offense. Yeah, probably makes more sense to talk big picture items than getting into the nitty Gritty of the metrics and the data for this game, although there are an interesting couple to talk about. But the cardinals are down they're starting center Rodney Hudson. They're down there starting tight end max Williams. And it seems like Kyler struggling with the shoulder issue here. You saw him kind of struggle in the second half of that forty-niners game last week. There's video of him in clear pain as trainers are trying to massage the shoulder. Kyler was held to one rushing yard last week. And I think it's important to kind of go back to last season towards the end of it because it's on our minds, it's most recent and there's certainly something that would seem predictive from it. But we saw when Kyler got injured, a year ago in that Seattle game, and he had a shoulder injury to the same shoulder. The cardinal's offense became a shell of itself without Kyler's run element involved. And to put that in perspective, a season ago, Kyler's EPA per rush was ten times greater than that of Derek Henry's EPA for Russia attempt. Kyler was actually number one in EPA for Russia season ago in the entire league. And so if it's something close to last season, Kyler's run numbers, fell off a cliff, his run attempts decreased 35%, his EPA per rush was cut by 60%. There was also a huge drop off through the air. Yards for pass attempt decreased a full yard, sack rate, almost doubled. You name it, the cardinal's offense was drastically different without the element of Kyler's legs and his ability to push it down the field with that shoulder injury last year. And so if it's the same thing, it'd be good to kind of get out ahead of that because we've seen what that injury has meant to this offense before. You also have an interesting element here with Joe Woods. Former San Francisco forty-niners secondary coach now brown's defense of coordinator someone that we have praised quite a bit. I'm sure he'd love to have that fourth quarter back. But I think when he threw on the film this week, and got to see a look at how his old team, the forty-niners defended Kyler, wolsey lots of the same principles this week from Joe Woods. It's kind of how his defense was built anyways. So he's going to take a look. He's going to add on to that. He's going to increase what gave Kyler trouble. He's going to change work highly or excel. And there's just a lot of familiarity here. And if you go back to Joe wood's last season in San Francisco, when he was the again secondary's coach, the very first meeting against Kyler in that week 9 matchup, Murray was held to 4.3 yards per pass to him the first three quarters. Held Arizona to 14 points the first 50 minutes of that game. The second matchup, I believe it was week 11, so just a couple weeks after that. Joe wood secondary held Kyler made it 3.7 yards per pass attempt. One explosive pass all day. The browns defense is clearly better than what it showed last week and quite frankly. They weren't bad for the first three quarters last week, no, things got a little squirrelly in the fourth as injuries continued to mount. And when you talk about Cleveland on the defensive side, knowing Joe Woods and you outlined a perfect case for why he's got the recipe, theoretically you think to slow down color. How worried should the browns be about that list that injury list? And I'd rattle off all the names, but I don't want a beer for the next two and a half hours. It was interesting because both teams a ton of injuries. I believe there were 16 guys on the injury report from both sides of this game. And listening to Kevin Stefanski, we saw Denzel ward returned to practice yesterday there are three key cogs that returned along with jedrick wills. And which Stefanski said was all or potentially available. We haven't marked anybody out for this upcoming game. And obviously Clowney was missed last week. We saw Cleveland generate their lowest pressure rate of the entire season a week ago. And so having Jedi and Clowney back will be a huge get back, especially when we're talking about a Kyler that might not be as much of a willing runner and as I alluded to. His sack percentage almost doubled last year when he wasn't running as much and you're looking at this season's numbers. Kyler's completion percentage drops 22% when he's under pressure. So getting a guy like jeevan Clowney back would be huge, Newsom also returned to practice this week. So I think the injury report especially on a Wednesday is something that you kind of take with a grain of salt, especially when you were just in a battle out west and had to travel back across the country. I think Wednesday is a real big maintenance day. I think today is the day we really want to keep focused on that brown's injury report. Yeah, you mentioned it. I mean, the defensive backfield I mean, they were moving guys all over the place. I mean, MJ Stewart a backup safety was forced into playing defensive back in the game against the Chargers and it helps explain why Mike Williams is wearing his camouflage Jersey blending into the turf, having about 72 yards of separation on a couple of Justin Herbert rollouts for big plays over the top. On the other side of the ball of pain, we know that Cleveland, their bread is buttered with the ground game and Nick Chubb has been outstanding in the early going. When you look at what Chubb has been able to accomplish, more than 4000 rushing yards, averaging 5.3 yards per Russia in his career can become the first player in NFL history with 4000 rushing yards and 5 plus yards per carry through his first 50 career games. Thankfully for chubby he doesn't have to carry the full load. Kareem hunt is arguably one B to what Cleveland wants to do establishing the ground game Baker Mayfield. You know, he was good last weekend as well. And it was great to see David jinjo getting involved in the offense. Clearly, Cleveland has to showcase a few other weapons until they're able to get Jarvis Landry back from an MCL screen. But you look at Arizona and the one weakness for this team and we kind of outlined it going into the forty-niners game, was their inability to stop the run. They'd been gashed routinely giving up more than 5 yards per carry..

"We're very aware of what justin brings to the table. We just need to make sure that we don't make it about just. We don't want attention going to justin because that means that. We're not actually doing what we need to do. We just need to go out there allowing guys to play and make sure that would neutralize rush but more importantly making sure that we're focused on what we need to do. Talk about a step plan within this game. Of course patrick. Long pass seventy five yards and how much of that in this game. Well i mean sometimes plays breakdown. I think one thing pat does a great job of is extending the play and a part of that is part of what we do and how we practice We're always talking to our guys about finishing staying on the run when things break down. What is your responsibility. Where do you need to be in order for us to be of. And so those are things that we work on. And you guys gotta understand when those things happen on game day. It's not by chance that they happen. Okay it's because we've rehearsed and worked on that stuff when things on go right in practice and so. These guys have a rhythm. They trust each other guys know exactly where they're going to be in certain concepts when we're working scramble drill and so that just the trust in chemistry that have been formulated over the years. You enjoy one. Play seventy five yards. Fourteen plays seventy five yards seven and a half minutes like me being an old running back coach. It's that that drive. You know just having the patience to drive the late feel now. Don't get me wrong. I'll take any touchdown on one play. We can have a plays in score. You know eight touchdowns. I i'll be satisfied but one thing that i've talked to. Our guys about is making sure that we have the ability to remain patient and drive the length of the field because certain defensive plan certain ways you saw. The cleveland browse joa joe woods and his defense his defensive staff play more zone. It played everything from the back. They didn't want us beating them over the top. I so what they did. They allow us to make sure that we can chew clock and execute by throwing underneath and making sure that we can sustain the drive and so those are the things that we need to continue to focus on. I it's all about the little things. It's all about maximizing opportunities in everybody understanding exactly where they fit in those particular concepts that were calling talented no running back room sunday by got the vast majority of the work. Got a little bit a few snaps. Do you think that's going to become the formula for you. Guys in that situation know for the browns were showing. I think you know each game presents different issue at that particular time we felt was a high so we just allow client to continue to play. But there's no definitive of of role of what we're going to do each and every Every week we just want guys go out there and play hard and play fast. Have a sense of urgency and a sense of purpose but more important to be accountable to the next man. That's the things that we're that we worry about more than anything but the bullets earlier the ravens wealth avoids. Patrick threats career is at a ton of success against the blitz. When you watch the film how do you explain. That has against extra russia's coming at you know what he's done a great job just progressing throughout his entire career. You know first and foremost learning the concepts. Second of all having an understanding of all those different concepts where everybody fits you know. Next thing learning defenses and then having a great understanding of coverages and so with all that said. And don't get me wrong. He's a fast learner. And with all that said now you give him the freedom and a liberty to make certain calls at the line of scrimmage and makes them dangerous because now this guy here he has that vision. He has what we call it pilot vision. He has the ability to see things and the thing about it. He'll see it and he knows exactly. What voice are going to be any defense so he. He sees it as a chess game. You know whereas you gotta think about the moves you know four and five a moves ahead of time you know before it actually happened. So that's what's fun about. Him is just a strategy and just making sure that he's always. I want to say one hundred percent correct but always has an answer right to what they're doing you.

"Benjamin Albright while we were away, the Jacksonville Jaguars drafted Travis TN the running back out of Clemson, the teammate obviously of their first pick in the first round. Quarterback Trevor Laurence. Cleveland is on the clock. In fact, the Cleveland Browns pick Number 26 is in. Ben. What hearing? I'm here. It's gonna be corner. Greg Newsome out of TCU. Wow. Yeah, they did. It's interesting because Grady Williams, you know they had some injury problems. Last year, they got them to award. You figure they're stacked in this secretary. They got help it they had a John Johnson for the Rams Help. Delta didn't play. He didn't. But they all these guys are getting back this year. They're gonna add another corner. That's kind of interesting, Although I'll tell you why defensive coordinators Joe Woods, we know how he loves to play out of the heavy nickel and have all those DBS on the field at the same time. That pick makes up makes a lot of sense. Jeremiah will sue Coral Maura still sitting out there it pick up will what will be 25 after they're done? That's hard to believe he is. He is still out there. In fact, I really thought the Browns might go to the edge pass rusher here. I know they signed clown in the off season. They still have Myles Garrett. "13 Miles an hour is 38 degrees, The sun has gone thick white clouds above. The grounds were on their third different left tackle who had what looked like a touchdown late in the first half, called back because of a fumble out of the end zone. Come back to score here early in the third. The ensuing kick off by Cleveland line drive to our left over their head of going out and the Chiefs will have it and touch back first intended for 25 ball. Now the Chiefs have to come out and respond offensively. They had great field position. They only moved it five yards. Homes missed an open lay beyond Bell. That would have been a touchdown. They go for the field goal and it hits the left upright. So now they've got to come back. They got to get something going, The Brown said. Have some juice in them right now, because They were able to move the ball down the field after the missed field goal and make this a ballgame again. So how did the chief's response homes will be under center from his 25 single back to wild left one wide white and here we go with a four man front for Cleveland. There's the snap spin. Seven year old dropped three man rush moving up my Holmes looks and feeds a pass off to the side of short one out of the reach of calcium complete. Kelsey was left ball went right. It was only a five yard pass to the far side lunch for it and couldn't get it. 2nd 10 and Kevin. The thing I want to watch here in the second half is How does Joe Woods, the defensive coordinator of the Browns, just things in the first half? He went a lot of cover to played a lot of soft coverage. Up. Everything in front of was not. It was about not giving up big plays, making the chief's on it while the Chiefs did that on all five positions in the first half, they were able to move down and get points. And so now so far here in the second half, we've only seen a few plays. They bring more pressure more guys towards the line of scrimmage, but that also leaves him susceptible to big place going down and turn the homes in the gun line. Drive. Throw. Spiro diving catch 40 yard line their side and it is made by DaMarcus Robinson, writing from the Kansas City bench of the chief's 39, a game of 15. Us down. Terrence Mitchell was in coverage there in the ball was thrown behind. The Chiefs are trying to get the ball step quickly before they 39 1st in 10 short pass out of the gun goes to the stationery receiver that was Chelsea at the 45 spun on the hash goes to the 47 picks up 15 on the play Robinson as we take a look at it What it would have been overturned would've been incomplete..

"And even though you know I'm a local kid in Vegas, and I'm Happy that we have a team. I'm happy that you know these kids that play out here can actually almost it makes it more real for them to dream. Um, you know, I'm still a Broncos fan through and through, actually have you know the last time the race traitor brought trip play the Broncos. I put up some Broncos highlights. And some, you know, Broncos pictures because in the day, ma'am, you know, hold Broncos. Why would I want blue Suit on set it on fire just loose, You know, just look, I don't have a doctor that might have to try that. Check one of those that Also when you look at these teams, and you know, I'm gonna make you wear the analyst hat the Raiders. Obviously, by the end of that game really took it to the Broncos. You talk about 37 12. The game was close. They're even into the fourth quarter drew locks. I think bruised ribs and decision making and strained oblique. It spiraled out of control quickly. I'm not a believer in the Raiders, and maybe I won't be until they prove me. Otherwise, In fact, I know I won't be until they prove otherwise. I don't know if that's a Derek Carr thing. And Jon Gruden thing. I can't put it, you know, definitely pinpointed. I'm talking about this Raiders team. What do you see from them? And how different they look from when these teams met whatever was six weeks ago. And what do you see in this Broncos team as well? Man. Um huh. You know, it's crazy, because, you know, the Raiders have have lost like I think six hour last seven games. Um They are spiraling downhill that And mostly, in my opinion, it is the defense man that not well Coast on defense on that if I did, because a coordinated Um, to be real. I was on that I was with that defensive coordinator and it looks so much different than when I was with. Wait or Jack the Rio or, um You know van, even our last week, the coordinator camera his name. It was a DP coach at first. Uh, Joe Woods. The woods? Yeah, D C and he's a coordinator and Cleveland It looks so different and I'm like, Yo, what is going on? And I didn't have Um, necessarily faith and how he was how they coasters on defense. You know, I didn't have faith in that and we have a lot of young guys, and it wasn't a winning culture. So you have that touch president. You've got to do things a certain way and how you coached and how we practiced, and we just It just wasn't there, to be honest with you and The same staff came over here to Vegas. So I imagine it was the same way Now. I will say this. I really believe Jon Gruden. Offenses really coat is coached well. The office. Of course. Well, it Zach. Actually, it's pretty hard Zwelling machine pretty much and how he coaches and how they practice and how to do things. What He's really hands off when it comes to defense. Yeah, he's on the second coordinator, right? Yeah, He's really hands off. And I remember a coach that hands off on defensive side of the ball. You know, even Gary Kubiak was hands on he was he would be over there watching us and I think it would take a real interest in it. What This team. I think I give up. I think that's hot. Maybe top three and points giving up in the fourth quarter. So they found down here. The pass rush. Is next to nothing. The DVDs give Hit every game and we know Russian covers go together, so it's just they're just part of downhill, and when they played the Broncos last time, they were on the upward trajectory. They're playing well, they were had some good confidence. What You know, I don't know what's happened since that Falcons game. It's because it's been bad for them. Yeah, it's interesting because you flip up the matchup page in the weekly press release. And they're still top 10 and a bunch of categories yards per game ninth in yards per play, 10th and yards, passing ninth and sacks allowed because you do know that the big O line they can convert on third down their fifth best in the league. But they're terrible in the Reds on their 25th. Where's the Broncos have the best red Zone D in football down the other side of the ball? What do you see, Uh, in Drew Locke, who's obviously shown flashes. And that's how the frustration here and Broncos country is that the lack of consistency do you see a down and down out? Multi year NFL franchise starting quarterback Andrew Luck and what he's seen the rest of this team. Mammograms, which I think if you're if you're the Broncos, If you're done, Elway, I think I think you have to go out. Draft Jeff, another quarterback. I'm Beyonce or shoot. I don't think you have time unnecessarily wait and figure out. You know, I'm saying I mean, I don't think he's showing you Comma crazy because he hasn't shown you enough. I mean, I guess it's emphasized It is enough, but he hasn't shown you enough to keep him But he hasn't shown He hasn't given you a reason to get rid of them. And I'm saying it's kind of like, Well, he didn't show you enough to keep a black s sometimes looking. So should we get rid of him? I don't think you know You kind of told that line right there. I don't see You know, I don't I don't think I don't think you guys have another season toe Wait and see. To be honest with you. I don't think you should do that. It shows flashes of brilliance You write so that he could be a good quarter that has the confidence but at the same time In two years or year and a half, I'll say Um, I think you gotta move. You know, I think you gotta move. And if you have the opportunity to get one of these guys coming out of college man, I think it's a good quarterbacks. Come in the first round this year. I think I think you I think you have to do that. So that's what you I love how the defense is playing defense playing good man there, you know, I know that decimated with injuries in the in the secondary. Well, for the most part, Mint is defensive has been good all year. Um you know it Zoe, often that that isn't running so smoothly, but they're in games, though. It's not like they're always getting blown out. It In games of competitive I like what I'm seeing, but I just truly think that helped You know, has been won the issues and the quarterback place. Yeah, And we know that in this league you go as the quarterback goes, That's really the something million dollar questions $100 million question. And so with Josh Allen coming in, he's the example. Everyone's using that that he and drew the same player, but He got three years with the same coordinator to make his mistakes and learn and grow. Drew hasn't had the same coordinator since he had. He's had six coordinators in seven years, going back to high school..

And now you're claiming that the head full connector is dirty or something. You don't know He's just making this up you Joe Woods load of crap from him. This is like this is like talking to all broadcast engineers. But they just know it's probably that and then they walk away and it's never what that is. But they get dodge and then they leave the building. Um So there's this choke point. I had it before, and it worked. Obviously, both ways, East and West that everybody knows about it, because whenever you try to take if you take 92 lanes to 91, it's going to slow down because people have to merge. So if you take 5 to 4322 or whatever it is just like when you see a construction where they put the barrels up and you lose the lead. It showed stuff. So you've got four lanes, feeding to three and then feeding back to four. There's the reason and totally Evers has in his transportation budget Auto finally make it for in all directions, said Whether or not that will happen or not, I don't know, but When they redid the Marquette interchange into the widening their. They took it to four lanes out of the interchange, and we redid the zoo it or change, of course. Over the last several years in Scott Walker got that done. It feeds the four lanes in all directions, moving really everywhere but North, including, you know for the city of Milwaukee, So that's four lanes to about 76 treated maybe 78th street even And as I say, it's right around Miller Park there goes to four lanes. Again in between. We're in this choke point and then to make matters worse today, in the choke point, they were reducing from three lanes to two because they were doing some sort of work. So I have my eyes peeled because traffic slowing down Now it doesn't create a bottleneck or anything, because there is no traffic out of the freeways feeding into her out of downtown Milwaukee. This is the late morning ad. Said. I'm slowing down and I look and I see something floating around up in the air. All right. I'm not one of these dopes who slows down when something like this is going.

"The Broncos introduce their new and all the coordinators today up at the valley you heard from rich scans. You're the new offense coordinator in during what's driving the show how the defensive coordinator. Ed Donatella familiar face to Broncos fans. Pretty much just old not so much the younger generation. But this is the third time that Ed Don atoll has been employed by the Denver Broncos. And he says he's happy to be back. Understand the expectations. It's a great story. Franchise. It's great to be back here. Again, Mr. Boland, what he said when I was here before is is just a wonderful place to be and John Elway was heard the player when I was here. And I couldn't feel better about being back here. The role that he's going to going to play is a little unique. And we thought we were getting this with Vance. And with Joe woods, right? We thought that. Yeah. It's Vance's defense. But Joe woods is going to be the defensive coordinator. But it didn't turn out that way. Joe woods got to pretty much run the defense like it or not Amin the results weren't great. But that was the setup this is there's no. Mystery here Vic Fangio is the head coach and he's calling the shots on defense. And at Donatello was asked. How that whole thing will sit with him. No, it's just the relationship. I felt we could have success together. And we're going to grow some more together. But it's really how I can serve him in this new role, and we'll just from there. But really it's business as usual for us. You know, he takes to leave with this thing, and we're working together. And the exact question. He was asked was did the idea of Vic Fangio is running the defense. Did that way into your decision in? There's done tells answer. No, I Vic, and I have worked well together in San Francisco, and Chicago, and I just want to continue that that's what he wants to do when he's happy to do it in whatever role that Vic Fangio has four him. Of course, his specialty in what he was coaching in Chicago was the secondary. And. Usually the secondary is a street of the Denver Broncos last year, not so much. And at Donatello was asked about what he could do to improve the Broncos secondary. Well, I think it starts with our defensive philosophy and what it would start with fundamentals, and we liked the players that are here. And we'll wait and see what needs to be added him but vix can start with fundamentals details. He wants people to be accountable one of the things he prides our teams in is being penalty free. You know, we want to be one of the lowest penalized teams because that can help us win. So again, it's early in the process with the defensive backs. Our big thing is is minimize explosion explosive plays turn into points. And we want to minimize that. The Denver Broncos did have an issue especially excuse me, especially you saw the impact of Chris Harris being out. What? The rest of the secondary could do and it was not much, and they gave up a lot of explosive place. And that is something that certainly playing in the AFC west with Patrick Mahomes in Philip rivers. Cutting down on those explosive plays is has to be a priority. And even with Chris Harris in the secondary, the Broncos were. The Broncos struggled in that realm. The Broncos were among the teams with the most explosive plays given up in the NFL. And if you look at the offenses in which offenses have the most explosive place from this past season chiefs Rams chargers. Those are the top three teams in the NFL this year when it comes to explosive plays on offense two of them. Get played by the Denver Broncos twice a year. So limiting explosive plays. And that's just that's just knowing your assignment that's protecting over the top with the safety. And that's what Ed Donatello is gonna try to do. Now. Ed, Donahue, tell can be a genius when it comes to scheming a secondary any might be. Might be the secondary of the Chicago Bears kind of a little bit underrated. Because you think a Khalil Mack and their ability to get to the quarterback. Their secondary was very good last year. But. Outside of Chris Harris. I mean, Justin Simmons he showed so much promise two years ago in this year is just kind of you know, whole held steady. It'd take another step. Darren Stewart seems like the bloom is off of that rose a little bit. And then of course, Bradley Roby was the biggest liability in that secondary for the Denver Broncos. I don't know of Bradley Roby's a Denver Bronco next year. If I'm the Broncos, I'm not giving him number one cornerback money. There's teams that might though and the Broncos have to be ready to potentially lose them Isaac item. Can he make strides? I thought he showed some promise late in the season. So lots of questions to be answered in that secondary in on that defense for the Denver Broncos. And I've said this they're not they're not the most engrossing speakers. Fangio Donna tell and and schedule. Hello. They're not the biggest names out there. Bye. I don't know. Maybe it's just their ages not schedule rela, of course. But Donatella Fangio there's just like a fatherly tone. Where just like calms, you it just makes you feel secure. I don't know. Fangio and in now Donatello hearing him speak. It's like, I just feel good. About the coaching staff. Does it mean that's going to translate to anything once the season starts, but I just feel like step one of the off season for John? Elway was hiring the right staff, and it just feels like they do. I just feel confident in Fangio Donna tell and even a little bit schedule rela two eight six zero zero four six. Your thoughts on the Broncos coordinators and also your ninja turtle jokes. Are welcome. Eric at two eight six zero zero four six coming up next. "So I do hope we see more of that. Well, it always surprise me that we didn't see a lot of it. The first two years under saw always kind of thought that the Seattle defense went hand in hand with that sort of aggressive in your face press coverage, you know, read it's scrimmage in the forty Niners haven't done that as much as I was expecting when when shawl was coming in. Yeah. It's. There's there's a lot. I think gets a bad rap in a lotta ways for for his scheme. It's it's a very -able scheme. There's lots of there's lots of there's a lot that goes into it. And we've talked at length on the show about it. So our listeners probably don't wanna hear me, why philosophical about the issues with solid, but hopefully, I think Joe woods brings a bit more that man coverage because I think in today's NFL if you can play man coverage, or at least you can mix it up and not stay predictable and not end up like the chargers where you play, you know, man, coverage just ten percent of the time. And so when you're zone coverage isn't working you have no change up. And you have nothing to go to. I think overall you're you're better off defense. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, I agree. And that'll be something to kind of add to the the repertoire, I think in in year three of the skied now Ritz Tangaroa he interviewed for the Broncos offense coordinator job. He is the odds on favorite for getting it. I don't know if they've actually formally announced him getting that job. But it seems like that's a lot. He's now in day to day three of the interview process. But I'm curious why he was initially blocked, but then was allowed to interview because the team has seemed to have blocked just about everyone except for skiing Carello. So what was it about the job of the role or anything that initiated the change of heart for the forty Niners? Well, I don't even know if there was a change your heart. I mean, it I haven't figured out. What happened initially that they they rejected the interview request Cowger Shanahan was on vacation for a little while. I wonder if the disconnected as simple as as that that you know, somebody else sort of speaking for him. And then when he got back, you know, incommunicado he he sorted. It out, you know, one of the reasons is because you know, the other the other two guys Mike McDaniel and Michael Fleur. They were requested for OC positions as well. They're already coordinators entitle one is the pass game coordinator the other is the run game coordinator they help Shanahan with the the the game planning each week. I mean, he's those his to top lieutenants, and they were being asked to interview with teams where they wouldn't have play calling duties, so it would the their their duties in rezone and in Green Bay wouldn't have been all that different than what they are here in Santa Clara show. I think that was part of it. He leans heavily on those guys. He wants them around. I mean, that's probably. In in even bigger part. And then as far as getting Rillo, it is a true promotion for him. I mean, he he's going from quarterbacks coach to offense coordinator so under Vic Fangio because they're fans you he's definitely going to call plays under under Vic Fangio. So it's it's a true step up the ladder for skiing role that would have been pretty hard for for Shanahan to block because you are keeping this guy from a golden opportunity show. I would like to know to the back room haggling that went on there. I mean, these two franchises are obviously close to one another given who's in in the power positions of the mall show. I guarantee you there was some wrangling. I don't know what that is at this point. But all find out soon enough. Yeah. I wonder if this is anything to Nick Mullins next year because I do think they will. Have a legitimate competition for that number two role and and Shanahan might may end up keeping all three quarterbacks on the active roster. But I think you've mentioned it and mayo 'cause mention that as well that Mullins was a scanner elegant..

"And weather station. Lewis and Logan and Dave Logan. Rick Lewis, please can't be with us on this Friday. He little bit earlier in the show today. We had a chance to catch up with veteran defensive lineman, Derek Wolfe right now, get a great deal on the official trucks in SUV's of your Denver Broncos built Ford proud in only at your local Ford stores. Derek? Hey, it's Rick Lewis, Dave Logan. How you doing man? I'm fighting a cold right now. Yeah. A lot of people got that right now, including my wife. Yeah. It's been pretty awful. I was fighting the last week of the season. And then I got through it. And then I just my body was like, all right? We're done. Yeah. You let down after the season. Probably then a hit you hard. Yeah. How the gender reveal go. We're not we haven't done it yet. Oh, you're planning a gender reveal for the new baby. Did you guys? I don't think we've announced on the show you, but you gotta new baby coming when's the baby do the job. Why Penn like that first two weeks, July? Wow. You gotta be out of your mind stoked about that. Right. Yeah. I mean, I'm really excited. I've been I've been longtime story is like I we first got married. I wanted to have start having kids right away mature enough. Did you agree with her? Yeah. Yeah. Well, you know, no, I picked up a bottle. So what do you mean? That's hilarious. What you do, you know, the sex already now, I don't know yet. Okay. So what are you hoping one way or the other everybody hopes for healthy to start with? But are you hoping either boy or girl, I mean, they're just different paths different? You know, if I have a girl the first time, and I'll make sure we get a boy the second time. It's really really for me. It's just about it really is just out the baby. But I do want to have a boy male one man wants to have a boy I'd like to knock down out the first time and then. The next time. We can have a girl. Yes. It didn't happen with me. I got two girls in in Dave to data one. So we didn't experience that. But hopefully, you will. Yeah. Me. I really do. I really hope so. Teammates have sons on the team and tough to bring them around. And you know, it just looks like I really enjoy doing. That's cool. I gotta tell you though, there's nothing better than daddy's girl. You ain't kid. There's nothing better than that. That's what everybody tells me girl. Yep. No doubt about that. Hey, let let me let me switch to football tough tough year. Disappointed a lot of ways. I mean as you as you have a chance to sort of remove yourself now from the season. I mean, what what sticks in your mind about this year? You know, it was it was one of those years bursley is just an almost kind of year almost we're right there. Was like, oh almost one almost had that one should have had that one. Was one of those seasons where it's like, you know, we we should have one these games. And we didn't know it's just. Now now, everybody's gone. So we're going to you know, who knows what's going to happen. You know, it's the unknown. Have you been on a team that suffered many injuries has this team did this year? The Super Bowl in two thousand thirteen. Yeah. I think we had chemistry. Season where we had so many injuries. You know, it made it tough to compete towards the end of the playoffs. Yeah. I think well, I can't remember back to who you guys last year. But this year, I it just was unusual. Leave it at that. I mean, so many so many key players lost Vaughan. Yeah. You know, an offense you lose. You lose a lot of your offensive linemen in those guys came and played well, but. You lose a manual, and that's a huge opponent component to your offense manual, and then you lose Lindsey. And then that just kind of you know, there's a real wrench in there. What kind of please? Can we run now? Players. They used speed. The speed kills miss league. So. You guys you guys. You lose your fastest guys on the field. You know, it hurts you a lot of the players talked about how much they loved Vance Joseph and what a great coach he was what are your thoughts on him? Absolutely. You know, he's a great guy comes to work, and he tried to push everyday terms of push it. It'd be better every day. To be understanding and thoughtful and to include people's families and everything. You know, he tries to he tries. He does the best. You can it's not easy to lead men. So you know, it's just about that. You did the best. He could with what he had going. You know, it was just a bad situation. We're working out for us not to clicking. And we'd play really good on. We could put a full game together. It's a one full game together against Arizona. We're both sides were just playing myself. We're talking to Derek Wolfe of the Broncos season over. Now. Let me ask you this Derek you you have your one of the few guys that have you've sort of been here for the good times. You've seen the bad times. When when there are coaching changes made, obviously the new coach sort of brings in his own his own deal. He's got his own scheme. He he knows what he likes. He tries to fit it into what he has in the roster and so forth, and so on and I get all that as a former player, but you were here with Wade Phillips the Super Bowl. Of course, was the pinnacle for you guys. Joe woods on that staff. The Joe took over the last couple of years as the coordinator from your perspective. How how was the defense different in your mind? If if at all other than it was a new guy calling the plays and some of the players were new. Yeah. That was how it was. That's how it's been basically, you know, it's been so basically the same kind of calls different ways different times of calling, you know, things in there was some, you know, obviously, people were, you know, don't agree. You've been in a different the huddle. You know that not everybody agrees with every single college being called same thing on offense. Yeah. Not everybody. Like, you know, some players. Do you feel like, oh, I wish you would call this right now because I know it's coming, but you have to do your job. I mean, no matter what you it's coming. You think you can beat them underneath and make the place. Do your job make sure that guy can't get outside. You know? So it's things like that. You know that just where this was coming together. There's a lot of miscommunication stuff like that. You know, that was we just didn't seem like we were all on the same page, Derek Wolfe. With us Turkey got plans for a big vacation somewhere. Yeah. So taking my stepdaughter the Bahamas nice at the end of this month for a couple of days. And then at the end of surgery for my birthday and my anniversary my wife, and I are going to go over to Europe again and spend actual anniversary. And and my birthday in Iceland. We're going to sleep inside this bubble. That's out there though, the wilderness. Wait, wait, wait, you're sleeping inside a bubble. That's out in the middle of the wilderness. Yeah. Okay. I did you how'd you happen upon that just out of curiosity? My wife does all the plan and that was part of her Christmas. Her favorite thing to do is travel. So, wow, that'll be like the last big trips to take before, you know, we have the baby. So but you went to Egypt last year. Am I right? Yeah. We went to Egypt last year. We went to Egypt and all over Europe. We went to France, Greece. Century. Speaker. Yeah. We were all over the place year before that we all over Thailand. Would you travel? Let's say when you go to Thailand, and they see a big guy. Like, you do they a lot of people stare at you like where did this guy come from? Because over here. We would assume. Okay football player. Yeah. I get started at a lot especially in Thailand where everybody's five foot four. You should assume you walk around Egypt. People are looking at me crazy. Very cool, man. Well, we enjoyed having you on the show all season look forward to next year. After we get the new coach, maybe we can have you on again. And we'll talk about that. In the meantime, have a good off season. Derek? Thank you. Appreciate you guys. Appreciate you, Derek Wolfe and a great guests for. Yeah season. Yep. He's brought to you by Ford right now. Get a great deal on the official trucks and SUV's Denver Broncos built Ford proud, man. You think of Derek Wolfe as this big strong defensive linemen, which he is. But when you talk about having a baby the chances for your girl, or whatever, that's that's kind of cool to here. Yeah. That was a great view with Derek Wolfe. He was great all year. And we're done. Dave have a good weekend. Everybody have a good weekend. The Michael Brown show coming up next KOA NewsRadio. There's no question you need omega threes, but which form should you take fish oil or krill oil. Scientists.
