"To hype, for them, case in point. I I'm pro go and look at Casabona Dot. Org like pre twenty fifteen. You will find like A. What's it called a click hate click articles that I would write about how terrible apple is and how they steal all of enjoyed stuff and now I'm like hold on let me tweet from my iphone and then talking to my Apple Watch on my metro or whatever. Airbus air. Air Pods pro I i. have all three versions of the EIP of the airports all three to maintain so. Sorry two, thousand, Fourteen Joe. Twenty twenty. Joe Is very happy to not be fighting his technology every day. Yeah he's used. We got married like that's cool. We have a kid I mean that when this comes out we'll have to. in any case that was a little bit of a digression. But you mentioned advocacy programmed you mentioned maybe in person events versus. Just general programs. what? So let's start here what led you to follow this path of creating a developer advocacy program, which is. Defecate like a Portmanteau of those two words. Right I ask the word Portmanteau correctly. It is actually is so it is the combination of like developer and advocate and kind of bring them together I. Think some people say deb defecate terms of advocates versus advocates. and. Those words actually work in. So you can really pronounce it however, you'd like because it it it works both ways. Nice. Love it. Yeah. Yeah. So so what started you on on this path? So I worked where we met we met in wordpress that were camps. She's awesome. Wonderful time been lovely to know you I vote clicks quick side note this month as we record this, it's like four years ago. That's crazy. That's really crazy to think about I would say that was working empty. Only sixteen still to date my favorite were Camp I've been to like it was so good. It was very good. Yeah. No you're good. Actually, very interesting to think about because I have learned a lot and I've adopted my career and changed a lot in a matter of years, which is really cool So it started because I was working at. Pantheon and I started as a developer advocate if you're not familiar with a developer advocate is it's usually someone who works at a company. Their developer technical in nature really enjoy the more transparent kind of I would say authentic form of communicating with folks that you're not really a salesperson. You're not really a marketer, but you are someone who is out there talking to people. So I attended lots of conferences talked to people who could have been prospective pantheon users gave presentations wrote technical contents, documentation trainings. Kind of anything that really evangelize the product in the end allowed for someone to understand and really get a good grasp on what that product can do. So started a pantheon number of years ago. And I ended up figuring out that people like super super super loved Pantheon and if they didn't know about it they they might have just been like, oh? Yeah. I've heard of Pantheon arrive whatever. But if they've used it and they're continuing to use it like it wasn't just like Oh. Yeah. I like Pantheon it was like I love Pantheon and it had very developer focused tooling. It was definitely built by developers for developers. There was this very strong passion and for me I was like. This is a missed opportunity. We have all these people were saying all these amazing things about us. They talk about us and social they talk about us. They're building conference presentations on our behalf. They're like already out there advocating about our products and I was like what if we amplify this and what if we just showed a little bit of care and grace and appreciation for these people like what could this turn into and that dream turned into a full blown advocacy program for Pantheon? Which today you can go find it I believe it still a community Pantheon to I, O It's called the Pantheon Heroes Program. And when I did that it was really just me realizing that there was this love for the product and these people who already saying things and I was like, let's turn into a program lets incentivize them. Let's reward them and on top of all of that, let's be there for these people. Let's create this kind of army of advocates as you say And that's really show them support. So it's one thing to say, Hey, I want an army of advocates and you ask them do things for you. It's another thing to to support them, provide them resources be there for them give them the things they need, and then hopefully benefit from some of the outcomes of that outreach and so that's that's essentially what they're heroes program was, and that role was I'm sure you have a million questions but to just add one little sentence that role. Really made me realize how much I loved what I was doing, how much I loved taking that situation and been working with people who are like me right like I'm a developer by trade and giving them something that I wish I could have had for the products that I love and so I think selfishly I was like this is so great because this is something I, would love but it ended up being that it was so great because everyone else felt that way to you and so it was just like a very very. Program on both ends. And I I just I made it my dream like this is my career. This is what I'm gonNA. Do I'm gonNA figure out ways to continue to do this and that's kind of rededicate came from. That's awesome and I will say like somebody who is also embedded in the wordpress base I need to add an editor's note because it was actually twenty-seven team that we met Twenty sixteen I just came back from Italy and like wasn't traveling. So so Somebody in the wordpress base who has seen a bunch of kind of different. Developer. Advocacy programs are like a lot of them are called ambassador programs or whatever. Ambassador is that just ground that might just be site ground. But they're all very similar right you have go daddy's version of it and I was A. Bachelor for a little while. But I th- like yours yours, Pantheon's the one that you helped develop. Is One of the most in-depth ones like you had a dedicated website that I got to work on And you my pleasure thanks for hooking me up because. It was like a while since I did front end Deb at that point and I'm like I. Miss This. So. Like it was a whilst front end Dev like at that scale I should say But you know and there were like other incentives besides just like paying your heroes to go to word camps and there was like it was like a game of fide thing and I thought it was really cool. You gave you gave your heroes. Or Pantheon gives their heroes all of the stuff that they need to be a proper advocate. I think right just like in an affiliate program you can have an affiliate program where it's like, yeah, you'll get twenty percent of everybody you send towards me or you can be like, Hey, affiliates I'm launching a new course next week and here is copy I wrote for you. Here are pictures and graphics I put together for you. If you want to do an interview with me I will make myself accessible to you whatever if you want access to the course whatever you need to make your job promoting this course easier is what I want to.

"Twenty. You've been married twenty eight years that wasn't even legal but then. You are really put me on the spot and if the lights start blinking that's Joe. Not Not not. You can tell the story that you told like mass audiences you don't have to tell the actual store. Often couples have two different stories of like you know how they met. I mean Yeah I met Joe Twenty Twenty eight years ago and I met him August fifteenth and I have never been apart from him from that forward. Just exuded something You know the image I have seared in my head is the second day we gather he's Italian I did not know that at the time and I made him spaghetti which in my world. Is. South. This attachment to him and I was afraid I would never see him again and the image I have that I hold on my heart all the time is he walked out front door to this crazy old Toyota Corolla that was twenty years old and is he was walking to his car. He just turned around with that big beautiful smile and he said. It's not about worrying Dave I'll see you tomorrow. And he did. And you know. "Guy. Name the first thing they saw. No okay so fine you're! You're fucked. Your the fuck of Tel, Aviv but But like I mean I. think that's my. Are you of edvard averse to the idea of like slowing down a little bit and trying to find a connection with I'm not saying find a wife or even a girl. Oh, no, not at all. Yeah, definitely, not I just I. I feel like sometimes You know the thing happens where like when the grass is always greener on the other side like when you. Want someone more than they go away and under kind of like to them. There weren't into you so like not like, and that's when into someone I want a message to them, and then I realized like. Oh, I can't because the pushing them away do that well. Let me tell you. My feeling is that when you're when you're in a relationship with someone who you don't trust and you don't really know and by the way I mean I. There's nobody that was more guy. Then Moshe back in the day I was constantly dating five people at a time and constantly having very superficial relationships right, but when you're a nuclear. And when you're in those kinds of relationships, you're always like I. don't really know this person that I'm that I'm the fucking, so so yeah like if you like that kind of thing. If you're only goal is to get laid, I would say continue the way it is, but it sounds like you're feeling slightly self conscious so for for a person wants to know whether or not they can communicate with someone. It's very easy to figure out the rules of communication when you have a connection with that person because you like. Like them and they like you. It's very natural an easy when you're in a relationship with four different women. None of whom you like you or you don't know if they like you and you don't know if you like them back then. Of course you're going to be like what do I do? How do I talk to this person? I think slowdown. Try Try one woman see if you like them. Then sleep with them. After you figure out you guys have a mutual connection, then everything will flow like the Jordan River. Only one. Could be a bad debater to. True. You might be a little full on. It's probably probably. Some of Is that do you have more questions? Even. Talk to you. Know I was just say. One of one of them I think she wanted to have sex and then I. put it off for that exact reason. I was like. You know we should wait things out. You know the next day she to parental med like acting like a girlfriend. That evening I must have sure, and it was like no any space you know even though the same morning like shoes, super incident and touchy and. Cutting with me and Right, so my whatnot I would say this. How old are you by the Way Guy? Twenty eight. My experience with dating is that it is. It's a messy because you're trying to Meld two different personalities into like a third thing, which is your a relationship and it's like. It doesn't work in a clean way. That's why I always think. These ideas of rules are so stupid because there's no system. When you can conquer all of the people you're going to encounter psychologically. The system doesn't work if breaks down when you meet people that aren't that, don't follow. The rules are supposed to in the system, so it's like so yeah. You had an example of when you tried to do it. Quote Unquote the right way. And it backfired and they. She wanted space, but that's going to happen ten thousand times until it doesn't happen, and then that'll be the person with whom it will be very easy to communicate because you seem you seem. Like this stuff is affecting. You said if you were just a player and you're like I. Don't give a fuck. They want space. I wanted space to that would be one thing, but it sounds like you're a little. It's affecting you and so that's why I think like just slow it all down so everything down. Stop Judging Yourself. Stop judging the person and just experience. What's happening? Don't try to game theory. What will happen? All right, we have to go. Talk Show what's. Must. Be Near How tall with the people talking about conspiracy theories of the year? Okay I'm GonNa say I love the all I love you too I. Like the shutting out Old podcasts mine too I love that. What's your favorite conspiracy theory? Really quick? God, the whole microchipping thing drives me crazy as I. Just don't understand how mix some anyone. Or the Bill Gates they're. Like the vaccine. Yes because they autism wasn't a good enough lie, though they won't microchipping now microchipping vaccine, it seem pretty difficult to be able to pull that off i. what is the idea that? Like a microchip moving through your blood forever it doesn't make. And the ideas they want to spend a lot of money on that the other one. They want to be able to know who's sick. And they also want to be able to just track everything. All these people were like. I'm not going to let Bill Gates track all of my my viewing and spending habits. It's like bits you've got an iphone already doing that. Already God exactly. Well all right I'll consider what if I bring how tall back I will consider it I appreciate you contacting guy. Go have a lovely day in the sun and Tel Aviv. Go Surf the Mediterranean for me. Yeah, for sure with one girl with one girl. One girl, one board one guy. Good policy all right. Thanks caller. Twenty twenty. Thank you bye-bye later Okay Joe Twenty twenty. That's what we're saying I. Don't know, did he say? That was. A lot of Joe Biden Joe Joe I think Joe Biden Joe. Joe Twenty twenty. "She's the libertarian. Party's nominee for president. So missed opportunity for Joe Joe. Twenty twenty yes. I'm sure she gets called. Joe Plenty and I have no idea whether Joe Twenty twenty dot com was taken. Okay so anyway she was previously the LP's vice presidential pick for Harry Brown in one thousand nine hundred six that might be the most impressive credential. It's credential. She ran with Harry Brown. Which good enough for me. I really don't need to know right. Yes says here that she supports every one of the Libertarian party platforms and I don't have a problem with any of the Libertarian party platforms laying. Libertarians are already upset about this what they vote for. Well said about everything all the time. But I feel like at this point. The Libertarians have now picked a libertarian. For for us so that would be a I in my following them right so nineteen ninety-six ninety six. I was had no reason to follow them because I couldn't vote. She's a senior lecturer in psychology. So that's the kind of doctor. She is going up against two sociopaths. Yup which you know who better qualified and so. We've got a libertarian. A doctor a woman if you care about identity politics you know whatever I you know. She's got experienced having run. Apparently the last time she ran. She campaigned. The thirty. Eight states made it around to thirty eight states and was on over three hundred radio programs. So I'm impressed with what I see. I'm happy to see what she's got going on and Ready to hear more so there. Yup that's good enough for me guys. I have not heard a relevant fact about her so if she supports the libertarian. Fully supports the libertarian. Party of play awesome. Peterson also says he. Fully Supports Libertarian Platform. And that doesn't mean he's a libertarian. Like it's Bega enough to where you could convince yourself that you believe it like I mean. I'm not saying that's her position I'm saying I know nothing about this woman so I would need like a list of issues and positions I don't know well the the the L. P. Platform. I've always thought was pretty darn libertarian. Pretty darn good and this also. She don't make you pledge oath to the platform before allowing you which means Bob Barr. No they make you pledge an oath based or a pledge to the it's not to the non aggression principle. He was right in his video and he argued that it's not non aggression principle it's to the to the non-aggressive grocery principle in matters of politics. So technically you could commit aggression in your personal life all day long but as long as you don't commit aggression politically or support aggression. Politically you qualify. You have accurately sign that pledge. Burn off so yeah there. You Go If you're going to be voting and lots and lots and lots of people are not. You're not made cheaper sneering at me now you front from them either. I'm not gonNA vote. Obviously I'm not going to endorse a candidate. Obviously but sitting you know in the chair watching the spectacle I was I was cheering for involvement supreme. Internally you will be rooting for Joe Jorgenson now. We know. Because I'm like I don't I don't care I don't care enough to to to to care about Joe Jorgenson. My point is internally. I was trained for vermin supreme because he is obvious satire and getting the message of liberty out in this day and age. I felt that the obvious satire position was going to be most effective. Their People Libertarian Party. Who really are not pleased with vermin running? You know he by the way came in third issue. They didn't have it self sad. And Jacob Horn you think you should have done better or because you think that. He's not an obvious candidate and should have been like Ella. Well came in third and the L. P. National Convention among actual series candidates with actual series principle. But that's what I'm saying. It should have been. It should have been time for the quote Unquote Movement to take that approach right. Ver- Vermin Supreme by virtue of his satire and the character right would have garnered way more headlines. Coming out of the Libertarian Party. Then Joe Jorgenson or Jacob. Hornberger will ever get well. He certainly would have got more headlines. I don't know precisely what whether it's a good idea or not. I can tell he made fun of politics. And that was if the message is left the system then vermin. Supreme is your guy but it's not the LP's message in. I don't know that it's the arcus message at its core. Vermin supreme in. No way communicates a libertarian. Message but the Libertarian. Message isn't going to carry. It's not gonNA go anywhere anyway. That's the thing then. They're always in their time. Which the exactly not which is why you put you put the Elo candidate out there to just poke fun at everything else. Well the thing is is that people who want the. Ll candidate are not likely to spend the kind of time and energy. It takes to run a political party especially one that has ballot access in forty nine or fifty states just about every single time like that is a lot of work and it takes a great deal of dedication and the kind of people that have that dedication and are willing to do that. Kind of work are not likely to say. Let's turn it over the guy with a rubber boot on his head because he's not likely but the rope the guy with the rubber boot on his head has run campaigns yes he has in the past in in all in the other two major parties right. So he's so he's a known relevant because he can run a campaign. He's a known entity with a a decent team behind them that got him to third place. Reporters can cover vermin supreme. Anytime they want right like he's out there. He's got a rubber boot on his head. He's got blow horn. He's he's making all kinds of noise Ryan he is. I mean so. The Republican Democrats are having a debate whereas Joe Jorgenson going to be versus where would vermin supreme with the Bullhorn Front shouting? Let me in. I don't know I don't know the Libertarians goal always has been to be able to get in those. Oh yeah and I don't know whether it's going to happen or not either but I can tell you who isn't going to make it happen you weren't you know one kid so and you haven't heard my opinion on it mainly because I don't really have one. I hope the best for Joe Jorgenson. I hope he gets into the debates. I think she will make these two crooked old perverts terrible and the in a way that vermin supreme can't simply cannot Dr Joe Jorgenson a woman on the stage in front of two one one man who is claimed to be a molester and the other one who pretty clearly has been caught on film doing it right and has a sexual assault charge laid against him. Not I would have been would have been fine with Hornberger to someone went well you know? He's only five three and I went. Oh it's GONNA be bad optics if he's ever on stage with trump and the response from the Libertarian. I got back was. He's never going to be on the stage with trump right. There wants shorter podium and nobody will ever know the difference. Because that's the only place he's ever going to be but the point is Libertarians. Aren't going to get into the debate. So you can either not get into the or you could have had vermin supreme with the bullhorn out front of debate making some Ruckus and get some news. They spend a Lotta time deciding. How tall those podiums are going to be. And the Libertarian. Probably wouldn't get to say so they you know. I don't know how Tall Biden is. But they decide you know. Hey make those podiums all five ten right then. He looks like nothing for would've eight five five four five zero three seven three three eight five four fifty free here on free talk live. "Acknowledging that it was time to change in yield to a position that that Senator Carol Moseley Braun raised on the floor of the Senate not granting a federal charter to do a organization made up of many fine people who continue to display confederate flag. Td Say almost exactly what Donald Trump supposedly said about the neo. Nazis Nazi's virtually the same. You're talking about a similar group of people right in the minds of the left and and Donald Trump said. There's a lot of there was a lot of good people on both sides and he wasn't to me. I don't believe he was talking about the Neo Nazis. He was talking about other people that happened to be there as well. Now Joe Biden is talking about the confederacy. Well he's talking about the people that as you know the sons of the confederacy. Yeah lot of fine very fine. People still still display the confederate flag. I vote Joe. "Have some some bison city council seats I hope nothing bad happens but it's too son and the winner will go against in these the mayoral race the independent and Ackerley good luck second thing then I think you would need to know what are the stories I I link and everything on my Facebook page Facebook dot com slash Gary Lewis radio like in following about Bob Robbins gonna have more campus conversations but changing the format a little bit this time somebody some group or somebody we were trying to find out how who I should say invited a lefty cook wacko from Loyola University in Chicago she's in charge of the higher education she is it a former illegal alien from Guatemala illegally came to this country I guess got citizenship who knows and she is now the director of higher education at Loyola University she because of a social justice warrior and all kinds of stuff and it's all about trains this entrance that good luck good luck that's on my Facebook page at that campus conversation the October sixteenth that's very inclusive isn't it what if you're not into it right a third thing that I think you needed to know I is that Joe Biden up as my Facebook page Joe Biden's brother apparently being sued because he offered business is the help of his brother's presidential campaign oh boy apparently he has done this over the years as well he and Joe Biden's son I have done this they said we can help you land biz dot business with court systems and incorporate your health care model into Joe's twenty twenty campaign trying to reach themselves by doing this another being sued by the same company because they didn't involve through kind of strange isn't it three things I think you would need to know are before you get to the the fact that I mean this is grace a bit we talk about up I think probably over a year ago maybe two years ago the Confucius institutes on college campuses around the country including a as you you and you obey and how the Chinese government pays for all that the university's blindly take the money and like nobody can go into these buildings that are on the campus the Chinese government basically owns them and I think it's all about spying that's what it is and stealing intellectual property but we're getting to a happy ending on that okay but before I get to that there's an email I received this is something on to get to you got an email since today is primary day you ready for this this list that I've made several times I and there's no reason for for me not to believe her Israeli pretty detailed email ready for this there's a woman that she a let's just say she works with okay I don't give away what her job is and things like that a woman that she works with lives in the city of Tucson and has received ballots for years for ballots to vote for she writes me she'd recently he been married so she has one in her maiden name one ballot in her married name one in or dead mother's name who died nine years ago and she keeps telling the city she calls says Hey my mom passed away please remove her name from the voter rolls and then finally she gets one in her sister's name that it moved to another state and whether it's the city of Tucson or yet but listen Pima county she keeps getting for ballots mailed to her every single election and she keeps on call the city saying please take these people off the rolls please correct this some Allister right I asked since I don't live in the city could I use one like her mom's or her sisters or something and she laughed and said no she's going to be turning them in again so she's honest and doesn't vote multiple times you just turns and says they don't they can't vote once passed away one moved this is my maiden name those were so good for her for being honest but can you imagine the people that get multiple that do vote and she's told the city over and over and over about that and they laughed at us and mock us when we say there's voter fraud right all right now speaking of of voting political another story maybe they really just want was with Warren I don't know Pocahontas apparently Bernie Sanders was a crank at a restaurant a restaurant owner said Bernie Sanders was cranky rude to his staff didn't want to take pictures shake anybody's hand really this when the socialist didn't leave a tip during a campaign stop in San Francisco early there's a legendary California restaurant been around for a hundred eleven years jons grill on Union Square the owner said Bernie came in with a cranky old man rue DU is staff that's not smart he said he was less than impressed by Bernie Sanders rude did want to shake hands and pose for photos he told politico the owner of this restaurant John constant so political it was all very nice except for cranky Bernie he was just rude not friendly thank you was hungry just a want to be a politician you lost my vote well your business on you're gonna vote for him I'm speaking of the San Francisco Chronicle spokesperson for Johns grill said it's unlike the owner to speak publicly and negatively about one of his customers assisting the interaction with Sanders must have really been bad well Bernie had to be in a terrible mood anyone in the public eye needs understand when it's time to order room service wow the spokesman for the restaurant said land Sanders did leave a tip upon the eggs of the premises I thought it said in the speech the story didn't leave a tip so the top of the street as he didn't leave a tip but in the storage as he does he did leave a tip for us confused by that anyway let me keep going I'm so you said Sanders did leave a tip upon the air exit from the premises and Sanders wife Jane apologize to the staff for her husband's behavior cranky Hey he's gonna be good to ME reporting right day board will like brothers Greg Gilbert listen get off the White House lawn no Easter egg roll to date nothing video captured by local CBS reporter Joe Vazquez documented the very mad Bernie Sanders walking out from Johns Hey Mister Sanders may I take a picture with you please no no I don't I'm hungry I don't want this I'll give you a dollar the nothing nothing man he wouldn't say no to a dollar yes well somebody else's dollar you too yes I don't know get away no more I want nothing to do with it apparently pocahantas was there recently and the only restaurant said she was wonderful came to the kitchen so complimentary of our staff to get official photos everyone just the nicest lady just that I wonder if she asked about any native American dishes that they served their can I show you how we need of Americans prepare fish and I am showing is a possible what do you what for leave me alone to prepare fish I don't always gonna be something he lost my votes I was confused I thought he did leave a tip that's what is at the top of the story for the Daily Mail it took exception politico but then he said he did leave a tip are you ready for this yeah Bernie ordered a lobster bisque an heirloom tomato salad and a diet coke that's all the calories are at right here the day I love the people I used to server bartender we have fries the extra ranch a diet coke yeah you got it we don't smart thinking you want to use your could your your your carbs wisely I'm okay with that all rights but lobster a man of the people a commie ordering some lobster bisque I mean I know it's San Francisco you gotta get it when it's their rights he got dinner with him about fifteen people and any and he was just no campaign face he was a nice to any of the staff routing cranky I missed my nap today leave me alone so there you go rude and cranky Bernie Sanders yet you have the nice be nice lying Elizabeth Warren she was so kind to us and everything all right capitalism at its best right there well she needs people like her because she's been a lawyer for so many well there there's there's that there's that let's do one other one that I have on on the docket even got a chance to talk about yet the conspiracy theories were going on in in the conspiracy I think their theories right if irise so the latest a Jeffrey Epstein is that footage for them as some security cam footage outside of the jail cell unusable no no way really New York Post this is video footage released one camera the hallway outside of the jail cell is to damage to be of any value for investigators that were looking into his death I'm sure washing post they said three people briefed on the matter it's unclear why the footage from the metropolitan correctional center was a term to be unusable they said there there is footage in better condition taken of the area it's not clear if the issue with the footage is isolated or an ongoing problem at the facility so you have people that aren't guards being guards that night they randomly fall asleep for three hours and falsify the are the documents showing that the check on every thirty minutes and then I just have to be also that night the footage for the camera just didn't work all rights rights I'm sure there's nothing set up here right nothing at all don't look sh don't look it's it's okay it's okay so we have a even more more B. S. into the old Jeffrey often think that do was whacked it just can't get any more perfect and that I am I right or am I right all right nine eighteen we'll get to the idea this is a big deal because if you don't I didn't realize prompted this is more good things that he did that you didn't know about and it's regarding the Chinese infiltrating our universities are a S. you do the right thing you avait not so much not so much I'll explain coming up do not go anywhere morning ritual gear Lewis can as T. aim seven ninety two sons most stimulating talk.

This is before this is with lanes old hair. And like right after she right after she changes, her style is sort of when it goes a little bit downhill. With some exceptions. I mean, I Mike cannon thing is like did. I wanted just roll over into the next episode, and I did. But point is we'll take in like, I feel like we all live with this Joe twenty twenty five years ago. Like, we knew every episode, and when it was coming up to the dally, we were all reading the pieces and the rankings and Entertainment Weekly and all that stuff. I don't know if that s- like there's a whole new generation watching friends, but I don't know if that's true of Seinfeld. And there are parts of this that are a little bit. Skills and Augie, but I still think is canonical episode. And I was shocked to see not just that. This was an in the canon like I did check. But we haven't put a Seinfeld in since Mark one. Yeah. So that's and only two of them. But this is one of the I think I two or three that anyone thinks of and yeah, there's some there's some little problems with it. But I think the economical presentation is pretty much right on though. It's probably a yes for me. But I'm interested to hear what the rest of the panel thing start. I I agree with you. And in terms of like, can we still like it knowing what we know now in terms of like sexual agency. And so on like, I feel like you kind of have to watch this like you would like we when we watch, you know, barn. Any miller? Like this episode is twenty six years old. Like, it's you know, the the show. Way we're four forever young. I know but. But. Retelling? I watched friends every day. Those are those episodes are around, you know, the the early on that old too. So, you know, I it's just funny like Carolina's, right? It's the the euphemisms for masturbation are actually clever like it was smart how they got around it too. In terms of that alone. I feel like it's an important TV document of its time and the way the contrast is she knows with like cutting to the various contest participants. Happily sleeping after they've dropped out versus Jerry, George like barking at each other apartment, mid contests. Like, I get on the outside. Love at Gerry threatening to go across the street until the women to closer blinds. You know, it's it's a it's very funny. Sarah's right about Kramer that a little of him goes a long way. And he is not in this episode very much, which I think is a positive and also it comes in the middle of what is for sure the show's strongest and most innovative season, which was the one where there making the pilot. And so even in the middle of all of that without having really much to do with the TV stuff except for a reference when George trying to watch the lesbian shadow Pepe. And I had forgotten. I forgot that the callback to it was with the the male nurse and male patient was not in this episode. So thank you for that reminder too. That's also funny note this. I don't know how to say this is like a classic moment of television. So for me for sure this is canon worthy. Dave. So I think the whole like naked woman across the street thing. I got the impression that was basically the same deal as. The friends naked dude, go was naked, man. Like, I got the oppression that they had set up basically their own little Duda to speech in front of the window. And they were just walking around, and they didn't give a shit and York. So when you walk around your window naked? So be it you're going to people leering I didn't really feel like that age poorly at all like I feel like that is kinda shit. That's still happens. If it's okay in France. It's okay here. I feel like it's on the.

"He, he was like, if you see like crap on the ground, don't eat it like that was like his advice for not getting e Bala, but the truth is it actually is very hard to get in America because of our healthcare system. And if we do, you know, they'll be able to treat it. But I do remember the whole scare where at airports they were, you know, quarantining people and people were legitimately scared because they saw the amount of deaths in Africa and they thought this would be a similar problem in the US. And then there were less alarmist groups out there like the, I'm trying to think of the name of the actual group. I think they're like a lobbyist group that family member mind used to be a part of the national council of it's a science group. Anyway, there were like less alarmist groups out there. They're saying, don't be so worried about a bowl. A lot of this is media hype and they turn out to be right. Yeah. I mean, that's the kind of the tragedy of it is that it is treatable and you know, these people don't have to suffer like this, but because they're in these impoverished areas were torn areas. It provides an opportunity for, you know, some of these healthcare crises to break out. The article is definitely not meant to scare the American public in the readers that there's going to be some insane Abol outbreak. But you know, and like you said, it is relatively hard to catch him. It's not like the flu where you can just sneeze and it's airborne. I mean a bull. I believe if I'm correct it adds to transmit through body fluid and direct touch. But I mean, I'm not really scared to get the flu even kills a lot more people year. I'd be really scared about a bowl, so you have that kind of fear and that kind of visceral reaction to it, did it you guys actually get the flu shot on on that note now the like every if you get the flu shot and I, I never do. I've never gotten it since I talked to a friend of mine about he said, it's the flu shot is basically like the role in the dice because there's no flu. The flu is like thousands and thousands of different strains, and they don't know which strain is going to break out and whatever part of the country you live in. So there's like some statistics or going on in the background with trying to predict which strain of the flu is going to be in your area and give you the flu shot to inoculate you for that strain. But nobody really knows. I mean, it's like predicting the weather. So since it's just like, you know, rolling the dice. I never really bothered getting it. And also all of us are I know where both in our. Thirties, I don't know if you're in your thirties, Joe twenty twenty. Okay. So late twenties, early thirties, relatively thirty. Relatively healthy guys. I think it's it's more of a concern if you are like an elderly person could become deadly for us it, it were not gotta gory. Right? And they recommend healthcare. My wife's studying doctor, so they, they recommend, you know, medical workers get the flu shot out so much for them, but you know, the protect their patients from spreading it. I think state by state, they have laws on, you know, if you are mandated to get the flu shot, if you're if it's mandatory to get certain vaccines, and I do understand that you're working around elderly people, you're working around people who are more susceptible to these types of diseases. And I know people like to act like it's a freedom issue, but it's the same thing also with like vaccines, you have to get at birth. If you know a certain large portion of the population aren't getting these vaccines than you might as well not have them at all, and then we're going to bring back these diseases from like the middle ages. Yeah. And you see these kids who are coming down with like measles mumps rubella. Whooping cough and cheeses Christ really all because like Alex Jones, you know that that vaccines are evil. I saw some news article and I mean, I don't know the veracity of it. But there were saying that there's there's like rich neighborhood somewhere in Los Angeles..

"Big. Thanks. Daniel was working the dials. I'm Vic thanks to you all for tuning in. We really do. Appreciate it. Don't get the follow us on Twitter adopter. Diane on Facebook. The doctor Dolly's Joe. Twenty twenty five years ago. Where? I don't remember if it was the joint chiefs of staff or some high military committee had said that the biggest threat to our national security was our youth and their physical fitness. And I remember that scared. The living daylights outta be back. Then. Because I was like, wow. If kids are starting to get lazy. They're getting weaker. If they're not getting too strong. That's problem. We to have the toughest army. I mean in the last. I mean, we were we were tough. Well. A study coming out of Great Britain. Does find children are weaker and less fit? Then there were sixteen years ago. Now, they looked at the strength and fitness a ten year olds from Essex thousand twenty years one thousand nine hundred eighty two thousand fourteen. They found the children had become heavier and Toler but scored worse in tests, including ups and grip strength. They also say that the client has been speeded up authors say the findings were worrying and called for more fitness testing in schools. Researchers from the university of Essex carried out strength and fitness tests, along with taking weight and height measurements on twelve hundred children from Chelmsford in one thousand nine hundred eighty two thousand eight two thousand fourteen and found over that period. Their body mass index stayed broadly the same, but because they were heavier. They were also taller. So did guys don't have the body. Calculated. We look at your height as well as the weight. So if you start getting taller, and you stay the same weight, you you might actually lower your b a mind. If your weight goes up to the same degree that you're hike goes up your BMI. I could technically stay the same authors had expected the children though to be stronger and more powerful because they grow bigger, but did not prove to be the case. According to Dr Gavin sandercock who led the study. There was a twenty percent decrease in muscle strength. A thirty percent decrease in muscle endurance over the sixteen year, period. So they have these kids do sit ups, I'm not a fan of sit ups. I think that really hurts the disc my husband's chiropractor. That's wax says that the discs when you do those sit ups keeps getting pushed I mean, I I used to have to always do them in PE. I'm not a big fan of rather you guys do crunches. But anyway, they did sit ups handgrips rank standing long, jumps and bent arm hanging. And they found the children were doing less and less exercise. They say inactive lifestyles are a health risk, but physical fitness is the single best measure of elven, childhood adolescence and onto a Donut important venison activity leads multiple health problems in their adult life, and they found that this loss of strength. The fitness was accelerating. Not just linear we're talking Ponente between. One thousand nine hundred eighty two thousand eight strength fell by point six percent each year. But then it doubled between the years two thousand eight thousand fourteen muscular, endurance dropped. What was dropping two point five percents then jumped to four percent decline. Obesity, increasing one and three of normal weight. Children was still found to be unfit seventy percent of those who were classified as obesity because they were also. That was in contrast seventy percent of those who were classified as obese because there'd be a my were also physically fit. I think there's a typo. They're so healthy weight is misleading. They say via my in isolation is not an effective way to monitor elf. I this is my issue. Okay. Our kids are not strong. They're saying. Now, some people say, well, that's Britain. I you know, what I think we extrapolate this to America also. I'm very very frustrated at the way, we're raising our kids these days. I think we're protecting them too much. I think we're kitten gloving them. Kids need to be kids. Kids need to fight. Kids need to learn how to navigate rough waters. Kids need to learn how to survive in the wild. Somebody needs to run from a bad guy or a fire. Do you think your kid is a good runner? Now. I don't know what they're doing these days. I remember my kids were complaining when they had to run. But I remember always having to run. We always had to run I could run a six minute mile when I was a kid. Not the most wonderful before girl wasn't that bad. We used to run we used to climb on monkey bars we had to be out in the sun. We had to do ups. We had to do pull ups. We had to increase their strength. We arm wrestled. And we're getting very Joey. And soft and don't Eddie. That's a problem. I want to know that my kids could run if they have to now put them on a team sport. So they played football. They played lacrosse they played soccer. They played baseball. What these kids they need to compete? They need to know how to block they know they need to learn how to Russia passer. I mean, they need to learn certain moves. Now, you know with my boys, I'm like, no fighting fighting fighting. But sometimes I I have to let them Russell. The only way for these kids to get strong is to fight now. Also aren't having a lot of kids seeing as you would have multiple siblings. So you had plenty of people to fight with plenty of people to you know. Have to. Navigate around and negotiate with now, many people are born in a single family home or they have brothers and sisters that aren't there's maybe step brothers or sisters. And so there may be a hands off approach or they may not be. I mean, you know. Kids used to have to share rooms are shared a bed with my brother and sister and one time during our days, you know, you. You learn to fight you learn to deal with with personalities, and it makes you stronger now we are trying to live at bullying the biggest bullies in our lives. Our siblings are brothers and sisters are the biggest bullies. And it stinks. It make you feel like crap and we intervene. We do brothers and sisters could be really really mean. Maybe the competition between them is exactly the training kids need. I mean, I don't know why God made or nature made people the way they are your biggest enemy in life is your brother or sister and the way beginning because you know, as when you're in that little nest and mom is bringing you the worm mama bird. You have to fight with your brothers and sisters to get the food. I mean, your first competition is among your siblings. And so simply rivalry is a very common thing. It's kinda confused me. Because you think you would need your brothers and sisters later and later, they do they're supposed to have your back. But when you're younger, they're your biggest enemy, you're fighting for food. You're fighting for attention. He tried to avoid getting the belts. So you hope they get him. I get it. I mean, you are you are put up against people right away. And it's. Gladiator time but nowadays, no quit fighting. No, you're gonna do time out. No wrestling, no touching. No this. And and I understand you don't want your kids hurting each other. And I don't want older brother, you know, beaten up on younger, brother or younger brother, you know, lighting older brother on fire. So there, you know, you do have to intervene as parents you do need to referee. But maybe we do need to let these kids. You know, flex some muscle. Maybe we need to have more outdoor activities for kids. Maybe we need to teach kids how to fight. Why are we teach your kids self defense? Why is it one of the physical education curriculums, including phys? Self defense taekwondo, maybe Krav Maga. Oh, well, because then they'll fight with each other. No, they won't you respect. You learn respect for art humor defense. I don't feel confident at all that Mike that that kids these days can block somebody. Now, we did we did put our kids in martial arts mean, my father taught me some judo. My father was in the military, then the Israeli military. You learn judo this was before Krav Maga and. Why aren't we teaching our kids these these disciplines? We're really turning them into weenies. So maybe they're getting bigger maybe they're getting taller, but they're not using the muscle. And you know, we need to be.
