"Yeah not very good question, and it's and it's a continuity issue that we run into some times where you're you've got to drive, that's anywhere from twenty minutes to an hour and fifteen. So we're we were shooting in January February when it gets dark, really fast and it gets dark like we were really pushing sometimes and you'll see in later challenges where it's getting really dark for the OT s that we would do after a challenge getting into the van, they're in pitch black in the van. There what happened was? The conversation started and there was light. And then the then there was a lot of silence because we're not prompting them to like hey. Why don't you have a full on. Meltdown here as a team, we leave him alone. I mean that in writing this note production in their van with them. That's an interesting choices. Also, are they instructed to navigate their own way back? Saying. No. So we have a read vehicle with producers who are listening. We have a tail vehicle to make sure that everybody stays together And we lead them to the location of we lead them back, and then the producers are listening one producers listening to each van. And they're left alone. Weasley set the cameras, we roll the cameras, we have a an audio. I mean, you have to admit that the the audio guys have done a May incredible job. I don't know if you've listened the quality of the audio but we had. Or your team of only three people we are like the leanest reality show, I can tell you. This guy I like that I've been working with since nineteen, ninety five, he is literally the best she's worked on everything from ego challenge vibe her mazing race, but I worked with him before amazing race. On. Discovery Project, he's just the best and. Anyway. It was very important that there was no production of that. They had their own space in that fan and that would facilitate an open and free conversation, but we didn't want to miss anything and to your point just what happened was. The the they they started their conversation that uncomfortable compensation, and then it was silence and there wasn't a lot happening and it was kind of like you know just getting more and more upset. And then suddenly by the time. Murph prompted the compensation to continue. It was dark outside and twenty, twenty, five minutes maybe at past. With. Of nothing like just you know. When you compress all of that, suddenly the situation where you've got like daylight and night going into. He's he's all that out, and then suddenly that's what happens sometimes. My years of amazing race watching. This person checked on the Mat and look at their shadows and look the shadows of the people checked in next. The continuity of it, all and the teams attitude in my opinion I think makes total sense because I think if I'm in the mentality of savage crew, those first two losses I could be like. Well, Lee knows cars like the back of his hand Melissa works on a farm. So we were the underdogs to begin with and I think the pain of this episode for them is that they were in the lead for the majority of the challenge because of I, guess some Danny Math gone wrong for a hot circuit and it's just due to their own. Communication ineptitude for lack of speaking that dirty hands able to just pull in and completely lapped them at the last second, and so it's Extremely frustrating because that's the time when they thought they had in their hands and due to their own mistakes, not the necessarily the accolades of the other team. That's why they lost. Well, I think it also speaks to the incredible leadership of Kelly, who who clearly got that the PEA gravel in the one sack made the made the most sense to end with. Right. So you're exhausted putting one ton of sand into small bags, one ton of grabbed a small bags, and then you leave yourself with the easiest. Aggregate to collect, which is the PEA gravel into one bag at the end by the time you're exhausted. So that was a really to me, that was a that was a game changing move on her behalf. She really planned that out now, her messed up with the amount of saying that they needed, which was big mistake, which is when savage group went ahead. But Kelly I mean, you can tell that woman no-nonsense. You can tell Ben. She's just fantastic leader and she she she got that OBE workout. All image he said I figured there's going to be a lot of time. You want all of that early on more you fresh, not at the other end where you're racing panicking, and that's kind of what happened with with insane was the most difficult she started with the most difficult, and then if you look at where the aggregates were, the pea gravel was closes the Sandwich second closest and the rock gravel was third. Why would you start with the rock gravel because now you're leaving two people in a warehouse. twiddling their thumbs while they drive the furthest point to get the furthest aggregate, which means that these two people back in the warehouse on idol. You WanNa, go to the closest aggregate bring back so that this is a limited amount of time that that person is waiting for an aggregate to work on. Right. So that's where that's where. That's were dirty hands. Really got it. Figured it out and she didn't WanNa do the gravel because she wanted to leave that for the end. So yes, I thought it was very, very interesting in the Danny made an interesting point about the sands. You know the thing is you gotta clean admiral the sand whereas if it was the last one, you would have to be as Sarah to clean out the back of a truck pretty smart, and this is where the nuances of how you a job, how you plan for a job that to me is where it becomes. Really interesting. The best part of the show is how people take their experience from their own career path and things that they do and apply them situations that they've never been in before and it's something i. know the prototype for that is obviously things like survivor and amazing race, but this is a more one to one thing. and. It's much more tangible here and I really I really loved that actually I was having a conversation with my uncle over the weekend who used to lead mule teams, Glacier National Park, and he talked about how the applied all of his experience. There to his second job of building his ranch and. How everything that he did follow from experience that he had gained from another like related or unrelated task. I told him. You've got to be watching the show 'cause you know twenty years ago, you would have been on it. And I love that you've picked up on that and that was one of the great things about yesterday with the casting it was there's one woman who had done all kinds of jobs she worked on every kind of job you could imagine, and then she just casually goes. Yeah. So. I had some downtime with work. So I decided to just build a house. Will. Sit, she said Yeah. You know I've done some electrical words employment work at into carpentry and poured concrete at work on roofs and. She built her house and I just I just thought she says that so casually like, yeah, if any of us are Might goes, Hey, guys just want to start this podcast saying building a house. Timetable the gingerbread house. Let alone like an actual facility live in Phil. I'm curious about the the the overtime challenge with. So interesting to me because I feel like the first few were they felt more like a slice of life. They can beat a pump, the hand card and Joe. Strip. The tire and everything, and this one felt a little a little bit different and I I thought it was really interesting. The whole you know filling up the perpetually draining hourglass, what was the thinking behind that? So the thinking? is about really is the idea that the overtime is in a confined space? So what I the briefing I gave, the art department was imagine we're come. We're bringing new everybody into the cage, everybody's coming into the ring. So it's Kinda like in In Vegas, whenever boxing match and the contestants walk out from underneath the bleachers and then come towards the. The. The boxing ring and everybody is crowded around watching. So everything you're looking at the teen challenge for the same factory, it's massive..

"A poster of Broadway. Joe Willie name it Joe Name. He's still my idol. And there's a famous post from him standing under the Broadway sign and a kid that lived in the dorms goes oh Broadway Joe Strip stallworth. And I just got a stock. And as you know a lot of quarterbacks. Kinda got named after streets back in those days Jefferson St Joe Gilliam Joe. Gilliam said Of course Broadway Joe so yeah just a nickname. Just kinda stack. And of course I had to live up to that reputation every once in a while. But it's funny. You should mention. I want to get your time to the rebels. That are net nickname. When I came from California I had in my career previous identity spot coverage the forty niners. You know in those days in the area of we're GONNA cheek. What Redding California? So we we rotate gay coverage in spring and even in the training camp coverage those of the coordinators of the raiders returned to Oakland. We cover them too so I had a taste of of the NFL night at a chance to interview. Joe Montana's stadium a couple of times. Those days and the San Francisco Chronicle had a contest to nickname. Joe Montana earliest around the time the Were headed the first Super Bowl and won the name that won the contest if I remember right was polk St Joe Montana never stuck dude it never stuck polk. St Joe is there that you're talking about Broadway. Joe You know Amanda Castro. That's the case was here. Most of the the alternative district in San Francisco that Take either so you're star eight but that was really had over low blows Gerry Cooney Dunedin. No yeah remember I tell you why I was? A national made fifty bucks and tips wiping off people seats. I got a free t shirt and I tell you what I thought Vegas was the greatest place ever in the history of ever. Manso that sealed as we go forward to in your position. Now you're GONNA be wiping off seats again. We're all GONNA be disinfecting. Everything another thing about about you like over a thousand. By the time of Numb you see is your career. Grab my career and your places a backup to the great Randall Cunningham. Unlv what were those days like? What was it like playing at? Unlv knows days and with cutting well. I they never told me about Randall. Cunningham got recruited here. John was my first experience. You got you signed. That's exactly. Why got here June tenth nineteen eighty two as I said so that fall I ended up. Redshirt him so that was nineteen eighty two we played. Byu Our first game. That year and three quarterbacks played in that game. But Not Randall. Randall with fourth string in nineteen eighty to allow our first game Three quarterbacks played in that game and our head coach Harvey Hyde realized. Our offense just wasn't very good so the next week he started Randall Who was fourth string as young skinny guy and I mean the rest assessories? So wow I read that year and then. I got to back him up my freshman and sophomore year and then I played my junior senior year but those years with random. Were really special in it you know. I'm not sure we really appreciate it. All at the time But you know you look back and you're like wow I he was one of the best and I mean he in a lot of ways you know you see some of these guys that are play at Thou. I mean Randall was the original Deshaun Watson and Lamar Jackson. I mean he was one of those original guys. Yeah you're right I remember. He was a hundred two right. Did he kick? Oh Yeah in fact. All American honor his junior and senior year in college. He was not an all American quarterback. All American Butter Verano could. He could have been our our kicker. He could have been played. Say Reynolds just such a great athlete. He could have. He could have done it all he a- And what I always appreciate it about Randall. Randall nothing ever bothered him. He was just always very relaxed. Always he had great and the great ones have this John. Right they have great flow game just low. They look like they're not even trying and a lot of ways. And you know we're all watching the Michael Jordan last aunts and all that and I mean yes the float that he has of the game. I mean you know Randall Randall. Had that as well it was. It was fun to watch. Yeah you see those highlights Back colleges enter his. Nfl career looks like he's he's another motion. He's he's he's doing. He's he's in his own game says he's he's he's not he's not a player. He's a director cut in on us. When you rebel football outs where you go that era. You know absolutely an during the conversation Play Legion stadium. Obviously the rebels. And the you know that has to be an interest to help that process is going to work out a Yemeni. Any thoughts about Wen if the rebels are to be able to play in in their home sadie. Mr Well what I think John Everything. I'm hearing from all these venue managers and even all of our major promoters that you are you know the Ad Jesus live nations and you know even the Cirque du Soleil as a lot of these shows. I think in these promoters are really going to take their lead from the sports industry so I think depending on what the NBA does the NHL The NFL? You know I think depending on what they do is going to depend on. What a lot of these other You know these other programs do now college. Football would be devastating to the athletic industry. If that went away I was reading something the other day. Texas am. The Texas am Athletic Department gets eighty seven percent of their revenue from football. Magin the devastation. That that would you know would have just just. That's one school Texas. Am I mean you know? There's a lot of other schools that are just like if college football happen. It would be devastating to to these athletic programs. I'm sure they're not that I mean. I don't know what the numbers would be exactly but I don't think that they're that rare in that region you know. I don't think so either the TV money is so big and of course all the hospitality and all the things but it's it's it would just be. It would be devastating for them so I really really feel like You Know College football and the NFL is going to happen. I just think it's too big to not happen and I think some good things were starting to happen in a lot of the states around the country and You know hopefully if that happens I think a lot of these other entities are going to take laid. Yeah but what are some of the good things of us you have seen? The strip said a conferences with with your colleagues you talk about. You know optimism versus pessimism. GimMe a reason to feel optimistic right now. Some of the some of the specific things that we can look forward even enact ourselves as live entertainment. Fans you per you know about coming out of this coming back to normal well. Here are the positives I think for Las Vegas John. If we can get our city back we are going to be. I mean we already were a destination right and probably the most five hundred destination maybe in the world for entertainment so So I don't think I'm I don't think I've gone out on a limb when I say this But the challenge a lot of these entertainment And I guess I'm talking about more about the tours you know these lives. Whoever's route is the skull many jurisdictions are going to open and have so many different roles at different times that it's going to be hard for these artists to go on tour especially in the world. I mean if they go on a world tour how do you know which countries are gonNA Open? And what are their rules? Abi and what are their regulations? And how about even getting into the country? And so I think it's GonNa put a big focus on destinations like ours for more of these residency type events so I think the artist like it. I all second of all. I think it might be the only way that a lot of these artists are going to be able to play a lot of shows in maybe even our own country. I mean you know. Think about trying to route a Torino right now Taylor swift and all these big artists of you know pushed their tours to twenty twenty one. But they don't know what cities are going to have social distancing requirements. And this and that and so I think that's the one thing we can all be optimistic about I think the other thing. We can be optimistic about here in our city is that you know. This group of folks are That run all these venues and entertainment are very united. And we'll have a great message for these destination visitors I think I feel like we are way more organized than a lot of other cities are at least at this point in time and try to have a good message and have a good system and have a good plan. You know for reopening So I think just the city I do you know John. Just the optimism of knowing that we've gone through a lot of other downfalls in the past and we've always come back stronger so I I just you know I'm a guy. That's the glass half full rather than half empty version. You mentioned we all know that the government has kind of given us an idea of the first phase a time. Line in a four phase reopening of Las Vegas with casinos in the third or fourth phase. As I understand it as I've read this and I think that's right. I think is necessary. Been I will be some restaurants. In some some non essential businesses woven standalone and it will work our way toward hotels and casinos at the South Point. But you see being a aside from the question on arena opening earliest. Is it going to be some rooms? Casino de think it'd be submarines and the restaurants What what's The schematic great? Love you guys on on how that would happen. I you know John. I don't know and I think to your point. The governor has put some of this burden. Let's call it. I guess or the task of all of this down now on the local jurisdictions so the county commissions I know the Gaming Control Board is working on these reopenings would look like. I know the wind just came out and said they're hoping for a Memorial Day weekend opening What does it look like? I don't know I do this. John and I feel that our local properties like the south point and stations casinos. And some of the Boyd Gaming Properties.

"Miked up feeds all of baseball arguments and then the we could listen to them and then the Astros thing happened just as he was ramp Iraq he's thing I was getting popular and it was really popular right because all of the Aaron Boone thing really is what was launched into the stratosphere savages the savages rant so then the Astros thing happens he's doing his thing he's able to go back in and then bang on the garbage to find the garbage pail bangs and then he becomes a big part of the astro story but my point being is that I don't believe the John boy got into media to be a breaking news source or investigative sleuth it just sort of happened where you're serendipitously if you will with the two things came together at the same time beautifully for him yeah all my god wills these my brother Steve hopes to be the next job was my guys brother I'm still confused by that John boy because site we've only had him in here yes he's he's like quit my job he's hiring all these people they're moving to New York like what do they do has a Pam right right sure how's he making money I don't understand when people have these businesses and they don't know how they make their money but I do think that there's probably some people with money that back him that are for what what's the promise what's the return think that he could he's media company could be something maybe like the next bar stool or something like that I don't know I'm just playing devil's advocate don't get mad at me I saw that I saw a shark tank the other I know you love the show watch a short thing the other night were guy wanted one is a five hundred thousand dollars for five percent of his company and V. Joe's stripped him nude to where I he walked out like wolf I was asking a bit much really not much in to wash arcs yes like his evaluation of his company he was way off on it because you had for professionals say art explain this to us because it doesn't make sense and he's like well we're going to do this we're gonna do that wall why what what what backs that I just know what my just knows not really an answer when you want five hundred thousand dollars for not much yeah I'm the company I'm just trying to think of this girl was right like so people see the attention he's getting on Twitter they noticed that he's he's got a podcast is trying to start a podcast network with other baseball teams and there's gonna be even though I'm not privy to this type of stuff but there's people out there that want to back stored ops if you will in all sorts of phases of life that say all right if we give this guy who seems to be on to something the capital to build and then in the process get a piece of what he's doing and we can help him grow then all of a sudden roll making money that's where I think it happens so when someone's as prevalent as John boy is on social media or his videos are getting some interviews which you know in the digital world we live on now that gets people aroused when they see that type of stuff right there's got to be someone it's like Hey you know what give him a couple million and figure it out your hedge fund guy that thinks the right idea right and then is that you get this what they call that those capital guys the whatever but they get venture capitalists yeah I guess so what's the return on investment all right so it was with this that this is where I have to stop because my knowledge is not exactly there is is my assumption is that he gets to a point where he is now like bar stool in a way where it was a start up and there's a big advertisers that want to be associated with it you know these podcasts are the most listened to that are out there that there's advertisers and now he's making money because his content is popular enough and brings eyeballs in listeners to it or advertisers want to be a part of it and then the next thing you know you got something being on your hands so I guess that's how you would make more I guess would be if everything worked out perfectly right this thing they'd want to see a business plan maybe they did maybe he presented what I we don't know if he presented one or not the business plan is nothing more than a gas in a lot of cable you would say I have this many people listening to my pile for sure but you still have to guesstimate how many people are going to pay for your service to put something in front of him that this is what we're gonna do here's where the revenues coming from but as I have no idea I don't but it's like they're moving people don't know your one offices in New York I'm not saying you I'm saying when they put the business plan together a lot of it is just what you're hoping for and thinking you can do and you've got a cell that investor on it right and it's either going easy going to take the money that has been given by these people to build something great or it's going to be a spectacular failure for both him and the people they gave them money thank you open up al's boring coffee shop in spring labor that's coffee there I want to sell its coffee no kidding but you also got to compete with Dunkin donuts and Starbucks my point is you can sit there and go to the town and find out how many cars pass by and you have an idea of how many people are going to see your coffee shop at the end of the day you're still guessing how many people are going to stop and come into your coffee shop you don't know might be wildly successful it could be ten times more than you even think it also could be ten times less because people are gonna start going to Starbucks you don't know it's really to guess and this is new media who the hell knows right I mean you could pitch to somebody like let's say you wanted an investor in whatever you wanted to open just like Jerry said you could pitch them I'm gonna put it here we're gonna have this many people it's a buzzing area there's not a coffee shop within three miles this is the place to be this is going to be the theme might beans are this way like curb your enthusiasm in the lot they Larry's I got the best beans and mocha Joe's and then someone would have to take a leap of faith based on those things probably a similar thing happen with this John boy look I got this many million views this many people within the podcast I want to put I want to do it talking yanks podcast still but also want to do it a talking Dodgers are talking this and we're gonna hire people it's going to be a network and then we're gonna put out original content and then all of a sudden we're going to have advertisers bang down our door to be able to get a slice of our plight that would be the the the goal so yeah there was a coffee shop in Middletown New Jersey that opened and closed in eight months on a main highway I would've thought home run right he spits on the way to the garden state parkway commuting morning traffic it's coffee eight months in an out gone round at stuff scares me like me don't ever think about like opening a business or something like that there's so many stories like that especially we don't know what the hell right when the good ones are rare yeah right they they absolutely are hi born G. on the fan Jerry and performer this morning also CBS sports never come right back another CeeLo update heights retraining in full.

"What happened was kicking booty there we have two straight games of Kiki cootie plague zero spams is there something there let's hear the conversation pane the Pentagon's how would John McClain about that very topic fresh back from London so I feel like he is uniquely qualified to comment on some of the London things we've been talking about on the show but before we get into that John how are you today I'm doing great guys thank you very much hope you guys are doing great all the listeners are doing great we're doing feels like back and revolutionary times when we do when we'd send off Thomas Jefferson Ben Franklin off so it's off to Europe to mind our affairs over there right and then you come back and report to us yes there is of the day so John if you haven't gone over there is a diplomat of the Houston sports scenes how how was the how was the trip to London for you well it's a lot more fun the ride over when you're going for vacation in which you know what I do is not really work it's still it was it was new covering the game and I've been to Japan and Mexico City twice covering games and I couldn't if I never went back to Mexico City that because at stadiums awful I would it would never bother me but if we could get to London faster like they used to own a Concorde back when they first started talking about play in regular season games in London they thought by now all the flights would be like the Concorde you could go from New York to London in three hours and the it took a nap going took ten after coming back like the Texas plane was delayed for an hour and a half so it took them about twelve hours and you got it the plane and customs and all that so it's because it's a long trip but boy that people were great no one is a bigger New York and it's spread out it's a lot bigger so there's different section Japanese navigate a lot of traffic going to practice at a suburban rugby facility on Friday took us an hour and fifteen minutes and then coming back took about an hour and a half and the game at Wembley Stadium took was only about thirty minutes and what the NFL sense of great for the media you stay at a Marriott you get shuttled to practice you get shuttled to the game in back this is the game day experience was great Jones and Marc vandermeer and Robert not dry we're set up outside now because the stadium's is good it's it's kind of like Texas stadium there's a roof over yet but a hole in there and so if it would rain daily was windy you would get wet and it was miserable weather on Saturday but Sunday was called in and dreary but it wasn't raining so if you prepared like I wore my big heavy cloud I had laws and I had a great work station in the stands like they do an auxiliary press box in the NFL and I and they had the NFL took great care of as you walk down to the dressing room gin and plus the press area was at the top of the lower level not like it top of all stadiums here except for Jacksonville Tennessee in buffalo and so I I thought it was great sorrow Campbell jerseys Warren moon jerseys fans from every team of the fans just had a blast they were great very few empty seats my wife and her best friend gland incision went and they had and they had a ball as did everyone before we get into the Texans game actual game over there John seven I've talked about today the rumor yesterday of the Chargers being discussed as a possibility to move to London not let's start specifically with the Chargers you're very very plug Dan what are you hearing about those rumors talk to people like nothing to it and you it's a and the thing about taxes going nasally whereas not gonna happen yeah somebody going to discuss to you know sit around a room like us and so that's not going to happen and eventually they'll it's a logistical nightmare going online and like to Texas started since stuff over there before season started and the Jaguars have it down it is a shorter trip for them but it's still a long way little things like this teams bring players in for tryouts multiple players all the time you fly guy from UCLA hello London and then back entry tries out writing our think about the what about this last game of the season save Seattle and Houston are said say Seattle and Oakland reply I'm not I'm sorry Houston and Oakland play in the late game in Houston last game of the season winner goes to London for the wild card game so the game is over Sunday night and World you make plans to get to leave immediately to go to London and then afterwards you come back you got to play on the road the next round if you went me makes no sense name bites been over there no it makes no sense and but when they get planes that will get them there quicker free agents why would you play over there when their taxes so much tougher than ours are you have to account for that maybe and in fact it is more expensive to live with them basically anywhere other New York maybe San Francisco and I'll guarantee family because of the travel unless they grew up use in subways and subway system today was great but you gotta you gotta use it because the traffic is just awful yeah and I don't I think they would have to pay a whole lot more money than other teams to get players to go there and because there's a lot of things you have to put up with in your family would have to put up with and then that will hurt your salary cap so they're not going to let any time soon they're going to play more games there because the two stadium I did it was weird Wimberley stadium which is a great facility doesn't have a soccer team and it's just there they don't talk to the guys there they have for playoffs concerts and I'm thinking that's like not even a baseball team in Yankee Stadium they have like six teams in one area and they all got their own stadiums and here's the best one of all it is not in it is such a great facility like Carol told me that the seats are wider than they are in our stadiums and the people just couldn't even more common dating and helpful and but it's not there's not gonna be teams in one anytime soon when I go to seventeen games are gonna be neutral site games on which I think would be great go back to my game in San Diego play their complaint Canada I'd love to go to Vancouver play game there and they're gonna go to college stadiums and so it's it's gonna be very exciting you're gonna play in London they're going to play Mexico City because the fans there so passionate they spent a lot of money on NFL stuff but we're not only having teams over seas anytime soon a John McClane in studio with us are John just flipping over to the actual game itself were you surprised by how the Texans look like the team that it made the trip over to London every year welcome Sir not pick the Jaguars yeah and that's one of the reasons I picked the Jaguars is because it's their seventh trip in a row Texans first bill o'brien his coaches their support staff did a tremendous job preparing the team everybody associated with it did a great job like my flight going and coming back was well all the cheerleaders and cheerleaders couldn't chair during the game because Jaguars on stadium so they took them over there to make appearances in the community and they still map for the Texans any NFL courses Jaguars and their cheerleaders there but they are a lot of things to do behind the scenes that kept them on the go constantly don't know what they did during the game but I'm guessing they were in the stands and so I was you know it was close until the end and teleport quarter kept thinking well they're gonna have chance come back with a big play and add series where Jay Joe strip third third and ten and then hearing calmly stripped down third and ten at the five yard line you know that kind of security admin and interceptions of I mean four turnovers in the fourth quarter in but it was decisive Jaguars were just like you know felt like they'd been steamrolled not thought what is that return trip white for T. get your **** kicked off you know that thank you for everybody had their own movie theater on the phone that was one of the I like old school coaches like Tom Coughlin that was their hard move on the way home like no movies and it was up at the time I got as a player like I get whatever now that I'm looking back on it that's some petty B. S. ma'am well yeah yeah you're doing a lot of no worries because you lost all right and how long more movies coming back a receipt as grain and option of about four hundred movies TV shows and sorry what some I got a re watch John wick one in the rating of saying I'm fifty times I watched the David Crosby documentary if people have not seen and you get a chance you care about music for that from the sixties and seventies with David Crosby it was it was great now requires once upon a time in Hollywood again because it's two hours and forty five minutes ago and I got him all in on the trip back except the last fifteen minutes John wick three which I've already seen like ten times so I didn't need to say it and I tell you something if you go to London and you fly coach like I did they were going over I was in a section called premium coach on United and it was two seats on each side and a bunch of the middle and I was I was with this lovely couple mark and Pamela Kennedy the party was packed with Texans fans who also Astros fans so a lot of us were watching or keeping up with the Astros they when we do you point everybody was so depressed all I knew that god bait and they're all saying oh my god this trip back going to be so bad if they turn out to tell if the Texans lose in in my flight back was all Texans fans and everybody was celebrating so much so I was sent on an aisle in the middle where there were three seats because I figured whoever set in the middle was gonna have I was gonna have a fifty fifty chance you were gonna get me up to go to the bathroom this blog when canning sitting in get after he was seeded through the plane through the landing I'm guessing is like thirteen hours he never got up and I told when I'm sleep wake me up Hey let me know when you want to get up and when I got up on to the bed I know where you're going he said you got that right yeah yeah you were asked to the bathroom yeah I would think he's maybe was where to die he was a great traveling companion my wife did was sit next to it because she's a lot slower and does he set up closer with her friend Susan but that made the trip so much easier and getting through customs both places was a piece of cake and very efficient anybody want to go over there it's a great trip and with the Texans go back I don't think it'll be there time although they are going to play more games and how in the world ET played without a by the father we will yeah it's crazy requested that is beyond me that's crazy how did they do in that game after that I can remember what I can't remember either yeah we'll we'll we'll we'll look into it I'll do the deep dive research yes Sir our our research department pain is going to get that done John before we before we we get to break here Justin Texans I mean the injury stuff is what it is guys are gonna get well during the by hopefully we'll we'll see o'brien talked about that yesterday this Kiki Cutie thing is is interesting is this just a case of just he needs to tighten his game up a little bit the KKK made some mistakes not just in games with in practice out they did and they talked about he works hard but he still made too many mistakes I thank there was a big gap last game he played he ran around around key member what happened they jumped on him about it any state when you work hard and you still are not getting things right I don't know I don't remember that being a problem last year but he was hurt so much and they they need him so bad now they've got so many receivers but bill said yesterday you didn't do anything wrong I as well as you and your dog house no and so they said he's working hard coaches came out it's basically I know he because he's working hard it's not like he's deontic form he is there he works hard everybody says it but for whatever reason he's making too many mistakes in practice yeah yeah well Bryan stone is different talking about him they need there with the there's a lot are originally was the heart like previous game did you get our pre game warm ups and as a nope not injuring that out okay violator rule yeah bill primarily but they said no that's not the case definitely a weird situation going always Kiki continued Houston Texas right now because we know the reasons he's missed two straight games is it because you can't play he can't see comply here to eleven catch games last year as a rookie the RJ Hopkins that do that as a rookie Ardrey Johnson didn't do as a rookie.

"I mean it does seem like she goes by the end of the book. She is kind of there. Is this emotional fulcrum. In the polls. Amy laura together and you know gets joe kind of motivated to start living her own life again so it is interesting but i think i agree with you joanna that it because she disappears so much as a character because she's an invalid and kind of fair <hes> mostly to motivate joe <hes> where where does beth's death strike you now well. It still makes me cry. I will say there's some in this. There's a lot in this book that still makes me cry and the proposals. Still you know it's like he still dream about them. I don't know <hes> look. It's the nineteenth century <hes> whatever beth died of it's possible. There wasn't a name for it. You know it's it's not i think this is is very common. In the literature of the time it is a little frustrating to come at it does a modern reader and think like. Why didn't they work harder to save her or you know if it if only they had the robust wellness culture that we have so but i do think that her presence is there and i think you're right to call her an emotional full come she. She does act on the plot even after her death in very specific ways as and just as we we real people might have a symbiotic relationship with these characters like we don't know where we related to joe or beth or amy <hes> <hes> because we are like them or or did we become like them because we related to them right. It's a little symbiotic. I feel like beth kind of allows space based for those relationships to happen because the way that she interacts with everyone is so subtle and i think also that there's a way in which the book deepens because there is tragedy in it. <hes> you know i think about the near misses that happen. In say jane austen's ends work which is earlier obviously but also very tied to <hes> the bonds between sisters and and you know those are domestic comedies more or less but it is true not to bring everyone down but it is true at the beginning of pride and prejudice that that jane bennett riding out on a horse in catching a cold you know might have ended badly because that's how things went <hes> in that century and and a lot of our attachment to the book i think think rests on the attachment that we feel between sisters and among the sisters and so- beth's death kind of accesses emotions that otherwise wouldn't exist in this book and and i think for that reason it's obviously very important i also think that she just represents this moral that recurs throughout the book and it's really interesting thinking about morals because joe strips them all out of her her her click bait collins to try to sell them but the book is really insistent on kind of returning to the idea that marmi gives these lessons of be good to your family to other people like there's some amount of self sacrifice their which i think post feminism maybe reads a little bit differently but beth dozen body at and is so loved for into so satisfied with it like she she says by by the small small domestic light that she has a joke kind of wants that to be enough for herself but can't get there and i and i like her as a character for having that maybe in a way that doesn't feel quite like anybody i know but it does feel true to that character issues written <hes> the i guess the thing that i'm missing for beth in the back of the book is this relationship with mr mr lawrence which which is such a huge thing at the beginning and.

"And you gotta go to seriously done that and see this box. I was so many cereal boxes have sue little artistic perspective or share sort of like just targeted at kids. Very utilitarian. This this the Apollo puff cereal is cool as heck? Yeah. I mean, if feel like many mainstream sort of cereal boxes are really just character dominated in the rest of the scenery's built around it. But trader Joe's stripping away, the sort of anthro more physician by get that right out of the equation, really? Makes it a blank canvas for something. Really seventies. Inspired in this case. A lot of the the Neopolitan Hughes amped up to eleven but the cereal itself. Just kind of looks like the cocoa puffs ice cream scoops that came out not too long ago. And when I first saw these I kinda thought it would be the exact same cereal until you see the little bubble at the top of the box that says it's made with beans and Brown rice instead of sort of the typical cocoa puffs corn. I don't really know how I feel about this. Because every time I've had been cereal in the past. It was impossible for me to call it a cereal I had to call it a bean cereal because you you really can't get the lagoon aftertaste out of your mind when eating at any point. So I don't know if all over make it to trader Joe's to try this one it's a bit of a hike for being based cereals. But if that's up your alley might be worth it there any good options that you've found for like ordering cereals online is just one stop shop or better served as like going to the retailer. So. Yeah. I don't think he'd probably get much better than like, a grocery delivery service. And then just buying a bunch of cereal. If you are looking for like new serials do tend to be people who I say scalp, but it's actually a reasonable price for someone who wants to try new serials on EBay, just if you wanna get that one and done out of there, and you have a little money to blow just for the cost of like a blockbuster rental. You could be buying a new serial. Can I devote will divergence for a second? Speaking of this cereals, I wanna to try. I wanna talk about privee refl cereal that I found this week. This news to me, I was in target and over with the toys, I found a box of buddy, the elf of fun co pop serial who and this is so interesting as I said found a box of cereal, I was target. Don't get folks kicking under the shows. It is that is what a with. Anyway, the buddy the elf cereal. What is that flavor on the buddy the l zero?.
