"Ja'Marr chase and Tyler Boyd and T Higgins along with Joe Mixon who, by the way, they didn't use nearly enough the other day, along with burrow who's playing at the level that he is, Harry, how are the Cincinnati Bengals not in the top 5 this week? Well, I'll tell you this. When you look at the Cincinnati Bengals, I believe they might only have one win versus a team with ten wins. When you look at the Arizona Cardinals, they have a win against the tennesse Titans. They have a win against the Los Angeles Rams. They have a win against the Dallas Cowboys, right? And they are 11 and 5 right now. So that's why they are at the number 5 spot. And when I look at the games, the three game losing street that they had. The only game where I thought the game really got away from them was the Detroit game, right? That game was just terrible across the board. The rest of those games against the Los Angeles Rams, it wasn't a blowout, against I'm trying to remember who was the team before. Against the Indianapolis coats, it wasn't a blowout, right? The only game in that three game losing street that was downhill was against the Detroit Lions, but they found a way to get it done against a cowboys team that a lot of people think Holly of or before last week, but blues into the Arizona Cardinals thought very highly of. And that's why I got them in the number 5 spot. Okay. But the bangles, but I'll tell you this. When you look at the Cincinnati Bengals, right? They have a guy in the top 5 and four categories in the NFL. Quarterback is top 5 in passing, the running back is number two in Russian. They have a top 5 receiver right now, and then they have a top 5 in sacks and Trey hendrickson. So as trade hitting, Jamar chase, Joe Mixon and Joe burrow. So those are, listen, they have the guys to do some damage. The only thing that I say about them is, can they do it consistently? Because every time we've tried to crown Cincinnati this year, what happened? They got blew out by Justin Herbert in the Los Angeles chargers. What happened other time? They got beat by Mike white in New York Jets who threw four over 400 yards against him. So it's to trust factor because they may be good this week or two weeks in a row, but how they're going to be that following week. So then to be so young, I want to see them do it consistently. I get it. And I think this past week you saw a team that actually handled adversity in being down 14 zip in 21 7 and they handled success well in that they had won the game over the ravens the week before in an unbelievable performance. I also would throw at you with the Cardinals. I mean, listen, they did lose to the Panthers 34 ten at one point. So all of that there, but we've had a lot of teams in the National Football League this year just lose crazy games. The title. At some point. That's happening. That's the situation. Not another. I'm just wow, no, I'm just saying. But I'm saying, right, and I'm keeping it real too. You've had multiplicity of teams that's in the top ten in the National Football League, lose games that they weren't supposed to lose this year. Am I right out of my room? Oh, absolutely. Okay. Absolutely true. Now, Harry, talk to me, Chris. Where are you putting the Dallas Cowboys right now? Dallas Cowboys, let's say my 6 would be my 6 would be the Bengals, and I put the cowboys at 7. What? Yep. I almost feel like we have to do that out of just like we're contractually obligated or something. But I'll tell you this with the Dallas Cowboys when they're hitting them all cylinders. They are forced to be reckoned with. The thing about it right now, we don't know where we're going to get. So that's why I don't have it in my top 5. And then you have the coach, the coach aspect of it, Mike McCarthy. We don't know what he's going to do for this football team and how he's going to cost him down the stretch. So you have all those things you got to factor in. I mean, Mike McCarthy, it's funny. We talk about his role with the cowboys and how bad he has been with time management. Yes. And yet you wonder moving forward is he going to be there a guy? I have no reason to think he is not going to be their guy for the long haul because of how long Jerry Jones was more than willing to ride with Jason Garrett as long as Jason Garrett and what he wants him to do. Well, and I'll say this if the Dallas Cowboys go to the playoffs and they get a first round exit and it's in the moralizing fashion. Jerry Jones will have some thinking to do. Because now, you have Kellen Moore who a lot of people said ascending a bit will be a head coach at some point. You have Dan Quinn, who just turned down to be interviewed for the Jacksonville Jaguars recently. You have him who has head coaching experience. You have two guys right there. I thought another guy out there got it. I love Joe witt junior. I don't think he gets enough credit. He coaches the secondary and does a lot of their past past game coordinating stuff, defensively for the Dallas Cowboys, but I like Joe witch junior. I think he's a guy who needs an opportunity to get a head coaching job at some point somewhere. He's been doing it for a long time. He has the bloodline to ties with his father as well. So I think he deserves an opportunity to be mentioned in some of these jobs. That will be coming up after the season. I mean, not in his reason history, certainly. Uh, no, look, they believe in this guy for better or for worse. It's the guy they picked to coach their team a couple of years ago and overall, they feel like he's done a good job. Yeah, I think it's, you know, the clock management stuff is significant. And potentially costly, but big picture, the cowboys ownership is happy with what McCarthy's done in the tone he's set and where the franchise is. They're not going to get rid of him. Yeah, I think this is an overreaction. You look at what Mike McCarthy has been able to do with this team, or should I say the team has been able to do a bike McCarthy? But you look at it from that perspective and they are going to the playoffs. Now, grass I just said if they have an early round exit and it's in a demoralizing fashion, they may be some talks have, but he's going to have another year. Now, next year, if some things don't go the way they wanted to go, it may be some talks in those regards, but right now I think it's overreaction. Agreed, a grade. I don't see him going anywhere. All right, next Joe burrow will win a Super Bowl championship with the Bengals. Overreaction? Not an overreaction. It's not. How can you not be excited about Joe burrow and the way he looks right now? And when you think about picking a quarterback number one overall, what are you hoping to get? "So that was really close to happening. The final numbers are just, I mean, my goodness. The Bengals had 32 first downs to the Steelers 13. Net yardage four 32 to two 67. This was a really impressive job by the Steelers defense of holding on. And we talked about this a little bit in the pre season how a lot of the sealer's wins last year came on weird. Not only defensive stuff, a weird special team stuff. It really was not sustainable. And if it was going to move forward this year, yes, you love Mike Tomlin and you love the way you coach this team and how he's going to get more than the sum of their parts out of them, but this looked like pretty much all the same issues with last year's team and I mean, my goodness, if they win ten games doing this again, Tomlin can go, he can be inducted in the Hall of Fame in 2023 at that point. What's weird about Tomlin, at least this itineration of it. Well, I'll say two separate things. There was the Bengals drive where they had the fourth and goal and that is a matchup that they should win 9 times out of ten. They have one of the most talented receiving cores in the NFL, and they have one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. And there was nowhere for him to go with the football. Like absolutely nowhere for him to go. And you have Joe Mixon, right? Like you should be able to make something happen there, but Tomlin dials up this brilliant coverage. Everything is sort of nebulous at the snap. Joe burrow tries to get a read on it, and you can tell kind of with his body language when he knows like, okay, this is busted. I'm just gonna kind of try to force it into someone and see if I can make a play here. That's what happened. And then there's the flip side of it, which is that this offense, I think, is still the Bengals offense is still, I think, a little bit poorly designed in that Joe is still gonna take a lot of sacks, not necessarily because he doesn't take the check down throw, but because he's not getting a lot of schemes protection help outside of the 5 offensive lineman and you can't say, oh, we got new guys. We're just gonna now win one on one. I don't think your guys are still good enough to win one on one consistently. And there were plays that we saw a lot of, but when sacked that I went back and looked at where Joe Mixon just comes out of the backfield, he's not involved in the passing game. He's not chipping anybody, and he's not holding any linebackers. So what are you doing with that guy that, you know, you only have 11 of these people? Let's put him to work and make him do something. So I agree with you on every point. The offensive line was still not very good. I mean, it's a lot of new faces out there.

"Talking about the chiefs just reminds me of, you know, Brandon staley in that game. That he blew with the Chargers because he kept going forward on fort dawn down and passing up field goals. You know, him saying you've got to score touchdowns against that team was so out of touch and just actually not correct. It was like basically this was an equivalent of him saying like if they played the Patriots being like, well, you have to score touchdowns against that team, because you know they're going to come back at some point. After Tom Brady left, like that's not acknowledging that Tom Brady left. It's the same thing as not acknowledging Patrick Mahomes is not the same guy. They are not the same team on offense. So for me, I think no matter where it is, Casey, here, whatever. I think the chiefs are very beatable. The Patriots know how to play them defensively, the chiefs don't have the weapons to exploit it. And I think the Patriots can control the line of scrimmage in that game. As for the Bengals, we alluded to it a couple times in the pod. There is a feeling based off of their choice to rest Joe burrow, who did kind of tweak a knee a little bit in that late game debacle situation there. In the win over the chiefs, Joe Mixon on the COVID list so he's out anyway and resting some other players. They're going in with a preseason sort of lineup in their season finale against the browns. The browns aren't really going to put up that much of a fight themselves. So this could be a total rock fight. But there are some people who believe Bengals are resting on purpose because they're trying to position themselves for a first round matchup with the Patriots. You don't buy that. I buy it. Well, let me ask you this. Who's the weakest team in the playoff? Put yourself on the other side of the coin. Which team scares you the least in the playoffs of the ones in there right now..

"I was a little bit nervous at Brandon Allen might pull a cousins and forget he was supposed to clock it and might take a knee and run out the clock and then we'd go over time. That would have been fun. But yeah, it was wild and I hate that. I hate those shotgun formations on the fourth and inches. No good. Stop that everyone. So you have to do two things. First off, when Joe Mixon almost scored, I had never seen an official before, like go up and yell at the player that you didn't score. You'll mix and was like, I scored and the ref just I saw him running up and going no you didn't give me the ball and still makes it like I'm not giving you the ball. And he's like, you didn't score, give me the ball. But speaking of the shotgun thing, the one thing we do have to mention is another cool little Andy Reed Eric B enemy wrinkled there in that game. Did you see on the fourth and short where they had the full House shotgun backfield but then motion Travis Kelce under center and then had him sort of try to push his way for the first down. Maybe that's a thing that you borrow in the future. That's a fun little. Although I think that was Blake bell. I think that was in Travis Kelce. Yeah, you're right. Yeah. I can't remember what his factor. Some Oklahoma fan has got to tell us what Blake bell's I think dame was who he was when he was the big Tebow quarterback in Oklahoma back in the day. The bell dozer. I think maybe I just made that up. Maybe I just gave him a nickname. Anyways, the chiefs lose for the first time a long time. They also lost two lime in this game. Lucas niang and Orlando Brown junior gold went down. They end up moving Joe Tony out to left tackle. So they held up kind of okay for this one, but I don't know if chiefs fans have any real appetite to test the depth of this offensive line in the postseason for a second straight year. Cardinals, cowboys. So the cardinals finally get back on track and they knock off the cowboys in Dallas 25 22 cowboy scene that just put up what was it a 112 points last week? Against Washington. So this was some opportunistic offense from Arizona. They also got a very impressive fake punt conversion at some point, but I thought it was the defense I got it done. I thought they did a really nice job. I'm not only shutting down the run,.

"I don't know if there's any other team in the AFC. That could do what Tennessee did against this patriots run game. And I also think the Tennessee run game is very difficult for the Patriots. When you look at the rest of the AFC, buffalo has not run the football well, they have not stopped the run well, especially gets good running teams. Kansas City, Andy Reid does not commit to the run. I think they can run the football better than people think. They just don't call for it enough. They're in love with Patrick Mahomes. I get it. Andy Reid doesn't commit to the run. Kansas City, I'll believe it when I see it if they can slow down this patriots run game. And you look at, you know, the other teams, right? Who's afraid of any of these other teams? Vegas is all over the place. Jekyll and Hyde act, you look at Pittsburgh. They can't get out of their own way defensively. Cincinnati has had a bunch of ebbs and flows this season. Joe burrow, I like, but he turns the football over a lot. And so Joe Mixon is an issue, but I think you can score on that defense against Cincinnati. I mean, you look up and down, I'm not shaking in my sneakers about the Indianapolis Colts. I think there are good team. Jonathan Taylor, obviously, is going to be an issue and that concerns me down the road. Patriots might give up 250 against Taylor. But I think if you can kind of sell out against the running force went into some mistakes, I think as we've talked about, Greg, going back a few weeks ago. It's rather obvious. The AFC is wide open, so when you have a chance to win a game like you want on Sunday like you said you take it, you run with it. And then you look into the future and you say, well, you know, we can, if you're the Patriots, we can beat any team. But if you're going to be realistic, you could also lose to many teams in the playoffs if you don't play your best. So that's just the kind of season it's going to be. And we've got to get used to that idea. And the NFL as a whole. I mean, even in the NFC, the top tier I think is better than the AFC for sure. But you're seeing teams like Washington last night, Philadelphia kind of hanging around all of a sudden San Francisco's got it going. They win three in a row when everybody thought.

"It's also crazy Derek Henry is 27 years old. At which is about the beginning of the end of someone's prime in the NFL for running back at least. And I wonder how much longer can dare Henry play at a really high level the way he is, because the dude is 27 entering he's in year 6 right now. And that usually is when a running back will slow down a little bit. But Derek Henry is showing no signs of slowing down at all. He's amazing. He's in his physical prime. And I'm curious how long will Derrick Henry keep it up? I want to read a question on Patreon from Randy. Randy writes India says, hey Zach, you seem very critical of the Giants for taking saquon Barkley with a number two pick simply because, quote, a running back shouldn't be taken that high regardless of talent. Do you feel the same about the Jaguars taking Leonard fournette with the number four pick? Or the cowboys, trading up to the number four pick to take a SQL Elliot or the rams taking Todd Gurley with the number ten pick? Where do you feel is the absolute earliest day running back should be drafted. I love that question. So Derek Henry is an incredible example of why you do not need a running back in the top ten. Derek Henry was a second round pick. Don't forget that. And by the way, we talk about Dallas Dallas had not one but two opportunities to draft Derrick Henry. They passed on him twice. Nick Chubb was the second round pick. Joe Mixon was a second rounder. Colts running back Jonathan Taylor was drafted in the second round. Look at the top ten rushing leaders right now in the NFL. There's two first round picks. So if naji Harris, who was the number 24 overall, I'll pick you a rookie right now. I love that pick. We'll talk about why that's okay. And then you have Zika Elliot, who is the number four overall pick. And only one of those guys that seek Elliott pick was a top ten pick. The other top ten rushing leaders. So we'll tell you a top 11 because Alvin Kamara's in there too. We're all all of them not picked in the first round or sorry. 8 of the top 9 of the top 11 guys, I don't know, I don't know 12. "Here on our early breakouts edition of fantasy football today jamie. I'm looking at your list that you gave me. And it's got tee higgins cd lamb and brandon aiyuk three to wide receivers. What can they break out to. Can they be top. twelve wide. Receivers think higgins lamb. I mean not that. I took the low hanging fruit but i took the low hanging fruit. I mean you saw the the sample sizes of what these guys were when they were at their best last year. Two of which when they had their quarterbacks in terms of d higgins with borough in cd lamb with dak prescott in you know you just see what the could be over sixteen games. Hopefully those guys stay healthy with their quarterbacks and you could be talking about must start wide receivers and when he was he was a superstar. You know so. All three of these guys are the chance to special now. You gotta work in deebo samuel being healthy because he missed so much time and george kittle. Miss that stretch of game. So kenny still do that with those guys around. I'm gonna say. Yes if the quarterback situation is at least jimmy garoppolo and hopefully maybe an upgrade But the upside for all three of these guys going into their second year. Not all three are going to materialize. But i think the the sample of what you saw can make you very encouraged about what they could be as their careers. Continue to progress. So higgins lamb. I you did you say which one is the most upside. I think you know higgins probably just given the opportunity to be the lead guy there you still have to worry about lamb with cooper with the other guys there but t higgins could easily be the number one receiver from cincinnati. And so if he does take that next step of borough comes back at one hundred percent they add another offensive. Linemen obviously run the ball. Bit better with. Joe mixing opened up in the passing game. I mean you could see the cincinnati offense upset could be as we talked about joe burrow. You know what was he. Top six seven in terms of passing yards per game. When he was healthy and higgins was putting up a a big portion that was with. "I think swift is the only one. I really count on to be a legitimate passing game help the way the lions used him last season and the skill set he showed. I think he's probably the best bet among this group to have sixty five to seventy targets. I think it's an open question for everyone else So he might actually end up being number one among this group once. I you know tweak things but i like all of them well enough i think acres is the one that i'm least likely to draft this year. He you know the the six games where he was really the every down back playing. Sixty five to seventy five percent of the snaps. He rushed for five hundred and sixty one yards which is awesome but only had fourteen targets in those five era. Those six games one hundred forty seven receiving yards. I'm just. I'm not sure. What the receiving game role is going to be. That hasn't really been there for the rams since todd gurley new quarterback there was running backs all the time in fact that the andre swift has a new quarterback. That hasn't who's running backs in two years. I just don't think that matters a lot more within the context of the offense and the quarterback themselves. There are certain quarterbacks who don't throw the ball to the running max. But that's mostly mobile quarterback deshaun watson who are more willing to scramble than just dump off so acres. The carries were a huge carry. Tom numbers twenty eight in the first playoff game. One hundred thirty two overall in those six games when that fifteen to sixteen per game rather than twenty to twenty five. I'm just not sure how high the ceiling is. If that receiving role doesn't materialize. Jamie wanted to give us your rankings. Of those four. Chris went miles sanders swift nixon acres acres slipped sanders acres swift acres. I well acres swift sanders. Mixson okay and then data. They're all my top fifteen. Okay give me a quick ranking. This is going to be team. That's gonna have a chance to win a lot of games. I think his role in the passing game will increase slightly. I don't think it's going to be two point where he's a dynamic pass catcher but i think a full offseasons gonna matter for him tremendously. I do think the quarterback change will help him. I also think that mcveigh's gonna realize what his skill set is expand that Based on what he did in college you know he was a pretty good pass. Catcher for state. I think that will carry over the. Nfl's wall as he's used in more some obvious passing down situations. I don't think they're fully trusted him until the end of the season to be a little bit more pass blocker so just being on the field in those situations with malcolm. Brown gone a veteran that they trusted to be in those spots He's not going to be part of the roster anymore. So i think acres can be a a thirty five to forty catch guy and what will do running the ball. I think that will put him in the top ten range. So that's why.
