And i know line has changed since you know earlier in the week but i really like cincinnati getting two and a half against chicago I was a bit skeptical of joe borough heading into the season. I mean so much of that was just the buzz around that training camp and obviously you're marchese drops on. He's not gonna drop every pass. Obviously but we get to this point and now he looks outstanding. I mean team looked so good and they had such a clear plan in place. And there's this you know stat being thrown around of passing over expectation right now and how the bengals were laughing it after being. You know the packer in the upper echelon last season. Well it's because. Joe mixing is now an absolute workhorse and feature back on three levels and that it it just makes sense from the perspective that joe coming back from significant knee injury and i feel like so much of this line is baked into this history that we believe that the bears defense is incredible. And i just look at it from this past weekend where there's a minute and the weapon left on the clock. We're trying to figure out. Who's zack taylor is. And he finally showed us. There was a pastor t higgins. Pass joe mix in the past tyler. Board in the fifty yard touchdown to jamarcus no timeouts in joe boroughs pocket. And he was still able to convert the touchdown which almost put the game away at that point and really separated them so to me what we're getting from. He has been nothing but essentially a model citizen since entering the nfl and being with the cincinnati bengals has asserted himself as a team leader. I did think of an ugly situation years back but it also made me really proud as someone who covers the bangles a fan of the team a really proud of a guy like joe mixing who has really kind of turn things around from that ugly incident and really matured and is now a team captain of the team so kudos to him on being one of the seven captains of the team and then you look at jessie bates. That's an interesting situation because the bengals in he apparently are in a contract stalemates as contracts. That i did the other day and talk about who i had on my team who i got And what was my thought process going throughout that draft then in these second segment i will talk about you know some of the other things that happened in that draft who you know where some of the other players fell and stuff like that and my takeaways from the draft overall then in the third segment i'm gonna do is schedule outlook for the cincinnati bengals and talk about the favorable and unfavorable matchups on their schedule. We only got two divisions allowed to get the afc north and then we got the afc west and then the scheduled outlooks are done and take up right until the regular season. I think you know. I might have to squeeze into On one of the final shows before the regular season starts just not going through the schedule. You know after games have already been played you know so yeah so schedule outlook for the cincinnati bengals then for the final segment. I will do the tier list for the tight end spot in fantasy so with that. Let's get right into the first segment which is talking about my dynasty team for my other dynasty league that i did the other day and i just want to say it was one of the most frustrating drafts that i was ever part of We had an hour inbetween picks and we started the draft at twelve noon and we went all the way up until almost midnight stop the draft and finished the final six rounds the next day. And you know. This was twenty four rounds when i did my first dynasty draft It was thirty rounds and we were able to finish it within two hours so this draft was very chaotic and i hope to never be a part of something like that again because i was churches. But let's go right through team so at the quarterback position. I got aaron rodgers yet again. So you know. I i got him. I think in the between the fifth and the sixth round. I think it was something like that. You know. i I had the tenth and eleventh pick now so i had the wrap around the back to back takes which i was happy about. I do like having those back to back. Picks you know you could fill in holes and you know it makes things easier. Of course you just gotta make sure you choose your you know you. Choose your guys wisely. You don't wanna overdraft to reach for somebody but yeah so aaron rodgers. He was my he was my first. Qb that i took off the board. And then i took trevor lawrence the round after that. Because you know i. It's a dynasty leaks. Of course you want to be able to. You know have a backup plan you know once rogers does eventually retire. So i'm gonna go. I'm pulling up the draft board right now. So i got rodgers in the sixth round and then i got trevor lawrence the round after that so yeah So what i did. Was you know my first pick. I took jk dobbins now. I passed up on guys again. You gibson aaron jones nausea harris. Going into that. I was thinking you know. Am i going to want to do like you know two running backs you know. Have to solid running backs. And because there's such an there's an abundance of wide receivers maybe wait and get wide receivers. When it comes back to me you know in the third and fourth round which honestly would not have been a bad decision. I could have got you know some good guys there. But i decided you know let me get. Jk and davante adams fell to me. So i took him in the very beginning of the second round because they had the you know the back to back. So i took him with my first pick in the second round and you know again like devante. Adams was sitting there like i wanted to. I wanted to take him. You know like i could have. I think going the to runningback route. I don't think it would have killed me because again. There's like an abundance of wide receivers. That i have taken but i decided you know what let me. Jk he's twenty two years old and let me get davante adams with my next pick so then after that in the third round i took joe mixing and then i took cd lamb after that now. I it was really tough Joe mixing is i think can be a solid running back you know. And i think he's proven that I think the thing to worry about his consistency running behind that offensive. Line coming back from injuries. So you know but i felt like he for me. I thought he was the best running back available for me. Because you know. Aaron jones najji gibson actor And swift they. Those guys were all taken. So i just felt like nixon was the best running back available for me now if compared to my other dynasty league where i have camerin cler you know. I like that combo a lot. Better than i like. My dobbins and mix combo now again In the first round in all go into more detail about how the rest of the draft. When you know other than my team you know. I thought i was going to have saquon. Jonathan taylor fall to me at least one of them fall to me. But they got picked. You know eight nine you know. I don't at least one of them is gonna fall to me because if one of them did fall to me. There was a possibility. I was gonna go double running backs if it did happen but it unfortunately did not. But i'm still happy with my first pick. So joe mixing cd lamb. You know. I mean having davante adams as my number one and then you have. Cd-rom is a number two and he's a solid number two in the nfl. And i do think he's going to have a really good season again You know well even better season now. The dock is hopefully going to be back for the full season because now he's banged up with the shoulder and you know there is some concerns there but you know the way the cowboys. Make it seem. He's fine but we'll have to see about that but You know getting cd lamb and davante adams was you know that's a good combination. And then you know the fifth and sixth round brand you who. I am very high on this year. I think he's going to have a really good season. And you know getting rogers. I really liked my first six weeks. I think we're really solid. They were very solid I think you know. Obviously my running back duo. It is a little bit of a concern there. But i do think that i do have a solid running back combination. I think it is solid. Though i do understand some people are not that high at least my friends talking about them there at least not that high on joe makes an i. I think mixon's good enough to be an rb to you know but we'll have to see Obviously if there are other guys available i mean. I could've took could've took montgomery. i could've took josh jacobs. But i don't know. I just felt like mixing for me was the What was the best option. you know. maybe. I should've took jacobs. I know but regardless i mean i. I think i have a good team where you know it will. I'll be able to withstand any struggles at joel nixon. may present during the season. But yeah then after that. The seventh and the eighth round took trevor lawrence and then. I took chase edmunds in the beginning of the eighth round. You know again. Like i talked about you know. Rogers obviously not going to play. You know for ten more seasons. Trevor lawrence is going to be my future in this in this dynasty league now. I got justin fields. Like i did in my other league but i you know for some reason i was like you know what. Let me just get trevor lawrence and let him be my future quarterback ones rogers eventually retire. So yeah again. If i mean if trevor lawrence wasn't there you know i probably would've taken justin fields. But because he was there. I was like let me take him. And then chase edmunds. You know it seems like he's going to be the number one running back in arizona. At least that's what it says on the sleeper app. And that's where everything's going now sleeper. And i actually really like sleeper. A lot You know. I think my espn days. Are you know numbered at this point. I mean i might be doing one or two lease on there this year. So why isn't the strategy of drafting being brought up or implemented more. I went through fantasy prose. Adp to determine what a team could look like. So jamie This draft this mock from brian in princeton is aaron jones seventh overall joe mixon eighteenth swift dobbins or carson thirty first lamar jackson and tj hopkinson. So as i five picks would be aaron. Jones joe mixing. Let's say the andrea swift. Lamar jackson tj hopkinson. And then and then you take jomar chase and then you take robbie anderson and then we'll fuller or something like that. What do you think about that kind of team. The risk involved with that is obviously. You're taking three players at the most volatile position and hoping that they all hit To the level of what. They have in the past like aaron jones as chris talked about. You know what. Joe mixing can do this year and then the andrea swift we know he's battling injury already so You're just you know putting a little bit more dynamite on your problem is that those guys do hit than you're going to be in great shape if those receivers so it's just a matter of you know what you're know. Risk aversion is in the potential reward I don't love it. I've done it a few times. Not necessarily going quarterback in tied in with the fourth and fifth round picks. You know typically. I look for receivers there but It can it can work. Just you know putting a lot of if's on your team. I think the big thing is like i almost pretty much did this in the flex league. I didn't take my first wide receiver until round five. I had jackson to do that. Yeah wide receiver out of yeah wider sears van very inflated and to flex spots also wide receivers more more valuable and i ended up just going for a bunch of upside wide receivers jomar chase will fall army call hartman rondell more jaylen rigor curtis samuel emmanuel sanders peirce campbell. "The vacuum is a great player and he's great to have on your team for me. It was always more about your team concept and the construction of your team. What happens when i you know. You have frontline guys. Like joe mixing got her in the cj. Who's got hurt. God forbid you burgos gets hurt. Everything goes down the toilet but even if it's just other skill players get hurt. What happens then. Well if you if you're offensive line good you're still going to be at least competitive and if you can bully other teams which is something the bengals so seldom do and i really want them to do it. It's very personal thing. I have to say but you know if the bengals when they were at their best in the years that we've talked about the glory years nineteen eighty eight and two thousand five and twenty fifteen. They bullied other teams up front. That to me is where you want to get back to was will the guy to do that. Maybe maybe not you have that discussion. You look at the tape and you decide whether or not he is the guy that there. But i think the overall point is what you want to do is do as much as you can to get that offensive line. Not just decent but powerful strengthen your team and then if you can do that everything else kind of flows from there and you don't have to draft a player quite the quality of jomar chase in that top five slot. You can have a good receiver. You know like they did. Last year where higgins explodes the second. Rounder tyler boyd. And that's great as jabbar chases and proves to be you. He's gonna be out there in an island whereas as we all know that game starts up front and to me it was worth you know..

"Three forty four forty five forty or in some cases five fifty one as a training camp gets to a start tomorrow. The first practice tony. Let's talk about the offensive side of the ball. One of the more interesting training camp battles. There yeah this is. This is one of the unique times that we've done this where there's not a ton of questions going into this side of the ball but i think there's too i think one is is pretty known at this point jackson carmen the player you drafted to be the guy on this offensive line. Verse xavier's fellow. Who graded out at the fifty nine last year. According to pro football focus the conversation is around protecting. Joe borough we know it's riley reef and jona williams on the outside. We know clinton. Spain was brought back to be a starter. We hope trae hopkins is ready. That other spot is still up for grabs jackson carmen. He ready for a physical and mental standpoint to take that position or do they go with veteran xavier. Sue othello for a couple of games for half the season who knows how long and then the other one for me mo is one that we haven't really talked about much we know. Joe mixing is the guy this year. Who's gonna slot in at number two. Some osh p ryan looked great at times last year. They spent a draft pick on trayvon williams a couple years ago but the talk so far leading up to camp has been that of chris evans what he can do in the passing game how he can fill that. Giovanni bernard loss. So i think the running back in that position on the offensive line or to to keep an eye on and it is interesting and and look. Everything's been dominated. By all the discussion of joe borough getting healthy protecting him giving him guys to throw to running back. You think about it joe. Mixon was not productive and then he got hurt and now the money kicks in right for years. Forty-eight mill and the guy right behind him a franchise mainstay giovanni bernard is no longer here and all of that has slid the background and yet as training camp starts to unfold. I'm with you to me. That really is one of the more position one of the more interesting position groups on the entire team. It starts with joe. We know he's going to make the team we know he's gonna be a tough the depth chart. There's lots of questions about how productive he's going to be once. The season starts but how the dominos fall behind him is is really going to be compelling to watch do you. Do we know what ceiling is at this point. Is chris evans. A higher ceiling guy is trayvon williams at the end of camp the odd man looking out and then there's puka williams the undrafted running back who received rave reviews although he starting camp on the The illness list. He's received rave reviews. The guy that can help on special teams right away and be a difference maker. So i think those those running back position slots that have not been filled. We don't know the depth yet behind. Joe mixon is going to be very interesting. Things play out. I'm a. I'm a little surprised tony that that you didn't bring up the battle for the other quarterback who's not joe borough or brandon allen. You gave me nothing on. Kyle shurmur or eric dungy. You know. "Blake. Come on now. Well calvin really is going to be running a lie out of downfield rouch and making a lot of big plays in having a lot of hundred games this year. He's just an absolutely smashing. Have the andre hopkins eleventh over all talk to the people a little bit about deandre hopkins and then the only thing that i wanna say before we get out of here is all the packers stuff again. I would one hundred percent have aaron jones and davante adams if we knew aaron rodgers coming back in the first round. No doubt about it. Yeah so Deandre hopkins very similar situation as stefan digs. No no offseason. No training camp. They just jumped right in and week. One it's hit you know and it's big time and i think you have one hundred fifty one yards. I think in that first game and i was way too low on last year. We're not making that same mistake again. I don't think that i'm too high on him. Like based on over correction or anything like that. I think that he belongs at the end of the first round. Aj green isn't scaring me. I hope they get more out of christian kirk but he may not be the player that kinda thought he was coming out of college. Deandre hopkins absolute baller starting to get toward the end of his prime In terms of age. But he's still below thirty. And i think he's got another massive season coming where you can absolutely compete for the league lead in catches and receiving yards and receiving touchdowns only played here that i had as a candidate for my first round with joe mixing And you can get joe mixing still you know Early middle of round two but if they choose their word about expanding. Joe mixes role to all three downs. And this bengals. Offense is as good as i think it's going to be joe mixed in is going to look like a steal in the second round and i know people don't wanna hear it. They've been burned by joe mixing before etc etc. And i know. Joe mixon hasn't exactly done it but man the situation sets up really really well for him. I'm curious what brandon thinks about his offensive line. We'll have him on the pot. Aim have his article up soon in the draft. It's that's the only other borderline guy for me. I mean they're gonna run a lot of plays that they should throw the ball lot in all signs really all signs point toward joe mixing filling a true workhorse belco role and he's been the league for a while now really you know. He hasn't done he's done it in spurts. He had won a couple of years ago in the in the back out the final eight games. He led the nfl in In rushing yards and he showed he could handle a lot of you know a huge huge workloads for a full half of a season. But he just hasn't done it for a full season but yeah A lotta a lotta first. Round caliber picks i think in the second round. It's a really strong. Like top twenty five this year. I think and then i don't think it's his deep just the entire fantasy field but i really like the like the top twenty five players. Yeah i'll say the last thing. I never mentioned the packers stuff a lot. Evan i think thinks a cord the chef during laser in these guys that it's likelier than not or you know. They suspect that rogers willing to sit out the year. I think it's likelier that aaron rodgers comes senses for thirty million dollars age thirty seven and maybe one last chance to get super going. He shows up for week one. I like taking air jones and being ahead of the market on them. And guys like that age dylan and devante and amari rogers and all these guys. I like taking them right now. In the host aaron rodgers does come back such as one little thing that that would make a big difference for sure. Obviously jordan love could be as stone disaster. But you have you have angels fourteenth overall right now even with this uncertainty around and got drafted him a couple of times. I mean he he's. Adp is low enough that you can be step. Typical like i on aaron rodgers coming back and you could still draft them. I mean i. I'll take him with confidence. You know right right. Where have i mean. I think it's too much of an expectation. I'm trying to get steeler fans prepared for this. Only two running backs started sixteen games last season. Derrick henry and devon single terry. That's it that's all so and it wasn't like there was a guy that ooh he wasn't on the field because it was it was a it was a they started five wide or he started fifty games. No wasn't even that it. What it was the next most with someone who started ten games. Giovanni bernard because after joey after joe mixing was hurt so he played in all sixteen games and started ten but he wasn't the starter. You know what. I'm saying because guys miss time guys miss time this especially your main. So i'm trying to set up steeler nation that they're not disappointed if all of a sudden he's he. He misses a to two game stretch. If any if he plays fourteen games. That's great anything more than that is fantastic so just keep that in mind to not set the bar too high. But he's gonna be the man when he's playing. The only question is is is the scheme and the blocking gonna come together to have him be the man so i liked that. Do you want your question. Because that's not my question. I was right where you were. You know just he. He's going to be put. He's going to be given every opportunity to be the man and if the steelers as an offensive unit perform as a unit then he will be the man yup. Yeah i think you're right. But if you have to answer it you can't my hope. My jury started hoping it on draft was was kendrick. Green comes in goes mike webster on the place. Everybody looks at guy and says that guys too good enough to put on the field and he wins the starting job. That's my hope. That's what i hope to see in training camp but we won't that answer to train here. "The patriots releasing a statement saying they said the production team to film a behind the scenes feature on the patriot scouting staff for a web series called do your job so the irony there there it is ironical so the set the scene for you the bangles in the Browns are paying on playing on Sunday the patriots who are playing the bangles this week send a film crew to Cleveland as part of a quote documentary series do your job about how you scout other teens the NFL is now in possession of what they say is eight minutes of footage that this film crew got focused entirely on the bangles sideline where the there were apparently cameras there K. "Next thing, you know, it's fourth and thirty for Indianapolis. It's fun to sort of observe all the games taking place at one time. I Lamar Jackson throw to somebody attempt to throw titan Mark Andrews, hit a defender in the back hawk the mar a thrower is still a work in progress. Yes, worker progress is putting it lightly. I mean, he just has to, you know, a lot of time with quarterbacks no matter how good or or, you know, whatever the scouting report says about you. We can't see you at your best until you're comfortable. And when I watch him throw the football when I watch him try to dissect defenses. I don't see a guy who feels comfortable yet. Which is why I think you've. Verse two running a lot because that's the thing that makes them feel the most confident so he asked to become comfortable as a passer, and then we can kind of make the determination of whether or not he has the ability of the thrower right on cue. Cleveland PD Launching Internal Investigation into Handling of Kareem Hunt Case
"But I just feel like it's so shady, it's so shady how TMZ can get this whole thing. The NFL can't the chiefs can't but TMZ pays up. It's. I wanna know. Like on to keep it quiet at the beginning did Kareem hunt half to pay right? And then from there. Did you know TMZ just triple what he paid the Cleveland police? I I wanna know how deep this goes to me. It's a little fishy. Ira fishing, and Amy Trask was on with with fits of Brooks today. And I it's part of what I've been saying on this whole time is do you do you hire? But she said it's kind of hard. Dot com on the podcast, great stuff. But she she was saying to you hire TMZ. Do you hire some type of thing like that? In have resources to go and pay for those. Videos for your investigations, I but see that's the thing is man you want to know. So many things because look you're investigating. You're you're paying up, and I feel like TMZ would end up, you know, almost like extortion. Yes. Yeah. Eight they know exactly how much the NFL's worth information is a commodity for any in especially valuable information. And at the end of the day, what the NFL needs to know is what really happened. Hunt felt empowered enough embolden enough to light his team. He had to have known that. They were having a hard time getting the video or didn't have access to it. Hanging over his head. Could you imagine knowing that your career your NFL career is just hanging in the balance and the day that the other shoe drops, you're toast? And I mean, it's bad enough that this happened know in any way, shape or form the fact that it happened just a couple of days after Ruben foster that to me is kind of fishy to now all the sudden and we're getting near playoff time in the chiefs are potentially in a position to win the Super Bowl. There was a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes man, this thing just stinks all high. Hell no, it just sucks, and, you know, starting with the domestic violence to the cover up to the, you know, the distribution of the video to the new police cars at the Cleveland police officers are driving and all that stuff. It's it's it's all shady shady. So following an internal review. It was determined that in February a member of the Cleveland division of police provided a report you'll appreciate you trying to do some serious here. You don't mind felt house? Doing it for felony baby. All right now. So I'll start over following an internal review is determined that in February a member of the Cleveland police provided a copy of that police report, including the assault incident at the nine which was the hotel to the National Football League. And of course, they didn't go through the official publics public records request process. Now, if you go through that process, officially then it's known that the NFL is petitioning to get that information. Because I I gotta think look the police reports one thing like if you know, there's video of it. I don't need the police report. And that's the other thing that just begs the question. Okay. There's this video like, yeah. The charges were dropped. Why why were the charges dropped? They don't do anything for misdemeanor. It wasn't. It was not a felon. It was not charges a felony. You should have been. No, okay. Yeah. No. I mean any of that stuff? Should right? No doubt. Whether or not whatever it should be a felony. But it was filed under as a misdemeanor, which they don't do stuff you're going, wait what? Yeah. That's just shadiest number one. The fact that I don't care how hard he kicked. Her didn't kick her. You know what I mean? Like that was a felony the moment that right? She's dazed. She's she's laying on the ground days has has just gotten to the point where she sitting up. She's not even standing it. And he tried to kick her in the face. I mean, whether you connected or not I mean, thank God. He didn't he barely grazed or but not the point. You know, in the fact that she was on the ground is because you knock that dude indoor. And I know that I, you know, I don't know that he did that on purpose. But I guarantee you he didn't care if she got knocked down. Clearly, he was intent on doing her harm, hence the shove and then later kicking her. So let me ask you this this Kareem hunt play in the NFL again. Yes. Yeah. I think so too. I think he's young enough. Yeah. That's why Ray rice didn't play again because he was done. He was already at the end of his career. Well, yeah. And hit what he did on video, right? I feel like a complete ass for even having compare that. You're right though. It's true world. It's almost even more shocking because this is supposed to be somebody that you love and care about still married, right? That's what I'm saying. You're in a partnership to protect the whereas opposed to somebody just being a complete stranger that you had a disagreement with what you can. I think I think there's got to be a lot of answers. A lot of questions answered by Kareem hunt and not verbally by actions right in how. Have you address certain things? How have you gone about counseling? How you know if he's out all next year, then good for him. Yeah. Because then it maybe his message is being passed. You know, you know from from team to team. I just see. He's too young and talented and we've discussed talent over all this crap. Sure. I think it's going to end up being that he's gonna play and the other part of it too is I thought that the Lisa Saulters sit down that was way too soon for me. It was like it was just so, but it's so soon it's so perfect for Lisa Saulters to get it all, of course. But even though they made they went out of their way to say, you heard her in the interview say you requested this interview. So that was Kareem hunt reaching out to them saying how I wanna get a message out. And I felt like it was total damage control one. Oh one. He's just trying to me. Then who was it? Right. Yeah. That's see. That's the thing. Like, no. It's not you. It was you you can say that was out of character for me. That's not a representation of who. I am. But no, my man, there's a connect there because that was you, and that's why you're not employed by the Kansas City Chiefs anymore, and that but see that's the one thing that I feel very comfortable saying that is you that is your character. Under percent, you do that. That's your character. That is that is a part of it from the beginning. You have that in you there? Literally do not have that in me. I know that you're right me. Neither thankfully, but you're right. There's only there's there's the kind of people that will in the kind of people that won't. And so to say that that's not you now my man that is you and I just felt like right now. This was the time for Kareem hunt. Make your statement. Hey, the chiefs were right to do what they did. I was in the wrong. Okay. Cool like and then say, hey, I'm gonna make this right? I know it's going to take a long time. But I will make this right? I'm going to make some changes. If that's what we heard from Kareem hunt. And then we didn't hear from again for six months. I'm cool like, and then don't tell me show me show me the changes that you've made. Hey, I went to counseling I'm volunteering at a shelter. Whatever it is I'm a battered women's shelter. Whatever it is to show us. You understand the severity of it. And it's not all poor me. I lost my job in the NFL. It's poor victim of my heinous assault. And the fact that I don't have a job in the NFL is the right thing because I was way out of line. I felt like he was trying to do some like PR. Reparation campaign, and I just felt like it was so ill time. And when she asked him directly about what happened. He just basically iterative that he didn't matter. What happened? And it's like, no, dude. It absolutely matters. What happened? That's why we're all year right now. Fantasy football: Tyrod Taylor Will Deliver
"To tyrod Taylor had him as a top twelve guy going into the week. We've talked about him in the preseason. That is what he is. Rushing always keeps his floor high. I don't think this was an accident. I do think better days are ahead for tyrod as a passer, again, bad weather and getting more into the game flow first game of the season. Yeah, but Tyron tyrod is going to be a top twelve fantasy quarterback as long as he has this job. And I think he's going to have the job for quite some time because I think as long as they're competitive and they certainly were yesterday, look, they didn't win that game, obviously correct. But they lose it either. Well, correct. And I don't think that was on tyrod. I mean, look, I some listen, one hundred percent. There was had Josh Gordon deep and he could.
