"And on Wednesday morning it was first reported by NFL network that the cowboys were going to cut AKA release d'oro early Dante Poe if they did not find trade suitors before the day was over well guess what there were. No sooners no. Trade. Was To be had the Dallas cowboys wound up releasing both Ontario and early and so the cowboys free agency class does not live. Great. Obviously, Joe McCoy got hurt and was released again a little bit of a particular issue there ha ha Clinton dix didn't even make the team for the regular season obviously Everson Griffen was traded Darryl Worley Dante repoed the latest cuts moist Kennedy opted out. I it is rough. The cowboys did bringing Alden Smith Oh in free agency and that history paid off Greg or line was a member of the free agency class, and maybe you feel good about that it to the watermelon king I suppose but. This. This is where the cowboys are at their purging they're reading. Obviously the NFL trade deadline is next week but due to covid protocols. Teams are moving a little bit more quickly than some might have originally expected but that is the

"And get that and t get a chance to Who is going through a division that has all sorts of issues right now. Good God, they are a disaster These well, I mean, listen, Washington showing a little gumption and the Giants were young first year coach Joe Judge, but the top two teams that's supposed to be good. They're not good, and we're joined now by Orlando Scandrick quarterback and day promote. Ah, he's doing stuff over on the believe network podcast host of Cowboys side and he played for the Cowboys, and he's with us, your antique interior. How are you today, Buddy? What's what The world is going on with 20 of former teams. I mean, Jerry's having radio meltdowns. I mean, nobody's defended the quarterback when he gets almost decapitated. What a circus in Dallas Man what's happening? It's the surface is an understatement. A void in leadership. I don't mean I ask him if there's a void in leadership when you walked in the locker room, and he got mad, and I don't know. I mean, it's it's really hard to stomach. What's going on over there? For for organization issues in first class going to get a new coach. I was just doing some research about that Now, when I don't know if they properly vetted everyone. They interviewed two candidates Marvin Lewis and Mike McCarthy, which says they pretty much already have Mike McCarthy. Like sign so deliver, and then you have an interview with a guy and spend the night at the owner's house, and it gets the job in the morning that was odd in itself. And then you know, just to see what happened. The team. Looks like you have no fight. They look like they have. They're organized. I mean, they look like they just don't They don't. I don't care. I mean, the talent is there, but at some point you have to say. No, is it Is the talent really there? I mean, on paper. We thought it was there. I think they have some great pieces on offense. You know, they've had some pieces on defense. But there we all overvalue them based off of what they had done before. Is that what made us say they had talent is just the odd situation and so on. They're not planned. Well at all, they're not fighting. They're not competing. It's very, very hard to watch. You know, Orlando you know this better than anyone because you were there for the majority of your of your career. Nine years. With the Dallas Cowboys. And so you know Jerry Jones's influence on what's going on, Eh? So what? What's going on? What is what is he saying right now to this team. Um, that's taking six question, right? Yep. Look, I was I was there a long time. A decade's 10 years. One year I was injured in a pre fuse. That's right in nine seasons there. I was there the whole time. I think that Jerry took advice from a lot like you know, people don't trust people around the building. People he's hired and put in that position has allowed his place. He's running the team. Constantly has like he's developing. New state projects and things like that that are around the team that around the brand. So when Jerry is the end all be all signs off, you know, and everybody you still have other people in place that Have given a job. I think that They entrusted Mike McCarthy. I think you know, and Jerry has been criticized. No Joe's family that they're so involved. I don't like the coaches pick the players. So then if you look think that they've let these coaches players, especially our defense, I was there. And when I originally got the 2008 were 3 14 way never had Nose tackle as biggest Don cherry, But we've never had guys that can't move are you know that are kind of bigger and I just run stuffers. We had Jay Ratliff, who was a pro God then I was also there when we switched from a 34243. And you know They forced him to keep the market square and then after a year so he doesn't have it anymore. And then we all know what happened when he went to Denver goes one Super Bowl intangibles that he's brought what he done for Von Miller's career. You know that goes beyond what he was paid off. And an athlete performer job. Go back to my point. So you know you go and you bring in my going, You bringin Dontari Poe, everything short anything but short of a disappointment. Joe McCoy is heard on the first practice, bringing on Smith, who was with Mike Nolan, you know He's been great for them. I mean, I don't know what great opposed to that differences, but he's been good and then you go and sign Clinton. Ha Dicks, a guy that can't even make it out of training camp with a multi million dollars One year contract guarantee. And then you know you have to ask you so Bringing everything. Griffin who they just traded earlier today. Yeah, What's all that conditional pick to the line. You have to ask yourself. You entrusted any coaches and you know where they the right guy? You know for Jerry. Of course, he's going to be snappy in Hey, you know that's because as humans and as you know, powerful people, people have egos. The hardest thing to do is say that you screwed it up. Oh, I don't think that he's ready to say he screwed it up just yet. Well, that that that's what I want to ask you because Yeah, it's too early to say, man, I I hired the wrong guy. But he is somebody who stubborn who believes in, you know his way And he sticks to that, and he sticks to the very rarely No divorces himself from from his philosophy. It's it's his team's wantto look bad. But if this spirals into foreign 12 and they give up, 37 points a game, which they might on a get blistered the rest of the way. Can you see him saying? Wow, You know what? Alright, McCarthy gotta go..

Dallas Cowboys make handful of roster moves, activate Brown from IR

"Tyron Smith is now gone for the year it was announced on Friday two days ago Mike. McCarthy confirmed the report from NFL networks. Mike Fellow and Jane Slater Day before Mike McCarthy confirmed the tarrant Smith will undergo season ending surgery next week the cowboys are hopeful that he'll be back in two thousand and twenty one the Dallas cowboys already down there other offensive tackle in Lyle Collins Who Unlike Tyran Smith did not play a down this season. Also, it's worth mentioning that Travis Frederick. Retired shortly after Mike McCarthy took over as head coach his replacement if you want to call them that in Joe Looney. A sprained MC l. he is scheduled or slated I should say to miss the next two to three weeks just depends how that's going to go tyler beyond the cowboys fourth round rookie out of Wisconsin. Same place they got Travis. Frederick. Of course, seemingly is a much more stable option than anybody that's going to replace tarrant Smith or Lyle Collins but I bring all of this up to say that when my McCarthy. Signed his contract to be the head coach of the Dallas cowboys he did. So with likely knowledge that at the very least tired smitten, Lyle Collins would be playing for his football team and quite possibly unless you knew at the time that Travis Frederick was going to retire the Travis. Frederick. would be playing as well. So he's now down sixty percent of the offensive line he thought that he. Would have their many defensive players that are out Joe McCoy. One of the teams biggest off season signings is gone because he got hurt on the first day of practice and so this this team and where they are a month into the season is very different than the one Mike McCarthy sat down implant. That's all I'm saying it is definitely true that you have to adjust in the NFL. That's life things happen injuries happen with stuff happens that sports that's life like I said and so Mike McCarthy ultimately has to be held responsible for that because he's the head coach that's the hat that he wears, but it is worth saying and that's why I said now let's talk about some of these injuries and some of the roster moves the Dallas cowboys made ahead of this game on. Saturday day before this that you and I are talking day before game. Day the. Dallas. Cowboys made a handful of roster adjustments. It had been rumored all week long that Anthony. Browne would be returning from injured reserve and remember that injured reserve operates differently due to cove nineteen protocols and now nfl players only have to be on injured reserve for three weeks before they are eligible to return Anthony Brown. Is Eligible to return. It was speculated all week long that he would rejoin the cowboys they are in massive need of help in their secondary. So they officially Anthony Brown bag he is the first player that the Dallas cowboys have brought back off of injured reserve so far this season other candidates for this potential obviously include Sean Lee late and vanish. We'll see about cam irving things like that. But Anthony Brown I one. So the cowboys activated Anthony Brown. He is now part of the fifty three man roster, of course. So is Francis Bernard a fan favourite linebacker, undrafted free agent linebacker out of Utah many people, Francis, Bernard in the training camp portion of the year. Obviously no preseason he is. Now on the fifty three man roster, the cowboys have needed massive help in the linebacker. Department So far this season

"Like I you know the injury of Logan really helps but I don't know if you can sort of get rid of Doria with his size and power and experience because Claes Gadget player after he's going to have to make on special teams because like everybody else is better than him and what they do. Everything that he can do some things he can't do carry on with power not really great in between the tackles, but he's really didn't space but they also have two other backs that are really good in space as an inroad Joe and shady, and they both do it better than he does. and. So like I'm I'm really like Mike. I don't know like if we don't return punts like making the team. And that that's definitely something that we have seen quite a bit from Ba where he said that you know the these guys you have to be able to bring that special teams ability in order to make it when you're especially this down on the depth chart by one of the thing that I that I do want to say be a had said in one of his pressures that he anticipates that they will probably go with the veteran people to at least start the season because they were asking about practice squad. Who's going to be practice? He's going to be on on the active roster and was like we're not gonNA put a whole lot of veterans on the practice squad. Remember we had that conversation with Gregg Allman or maybe Scott Smith. We had that conversation with one of those two guys Scott about could we see any veterans year because there's they've taken away the the requirements yeah. Yeah. They've taken all that away so and he's like, no, they'll. They'll put the veterans in until the rookies get a chance A. Learning come along, which leads me to believe that we could see somebody even like a third round pick and Keyshawn Vaughn wind up on a practice squad assuming he decides to sign and come back which unless somebody else picks him up I can't imagine why wouldn't. But it's possible we could see somebody like him wind up on practice squad just because we don't like there's this whole we don't have enough time right right with Kovin lack of an off season. A weird training camp no preseason games they don't want to kick them to the curb just yet, but they can't go with him into a game yet. So I think we might wind up even seeing keyshawn Bon our and say we're going to I'm just saying it's it's a stronger possibility to me now than it was three weeks ago when we did our predictive fifty three man roster, Keyshawn von could wind up on practice squad while we're looking at a row Joe McCoy DR A. Running back room only three my mind just blanked on who else was there I guess I guess it would be. Clay although I think he wow I don't know who Did Yeah I. Think. The only like not that I'm trying. I guess. It would've been TJ Logan until he got hurt and so maybe maybe von. Kids and just because there is the spot now the bucks have never cut third round pick ever. So there's there's my cannonball through your sale that's about all I but I agree with you that the logic is kind of sound because. Into pandemic obstacle.

"Tigers. I hate to see this Jeremiah Coy. I was raving about the front seven for the Cowboys the other day. And how even though there's questions with the Cowboys defense, especially on the back end That their front seven I think is actually very underrated in a big part of that was Gerald McCoy now being in the picture while we found out today that Joe McCoy is going to be out for the year with the ruptured quadriceps tendon that happened today. Unfortunate news. Terrible for the cow boys. I still believe the Cowboys. They're going to win that division. I really d'oh. I think there are better team than Philadelphia would snacks. Harrison potentially be a fit now with the Dallas Cowboys, even though it's not the same position. When you look at Joe McCoy with Jadeveon Clowney be someone even in that same position. They end up bringing it now since McCoy is hurt. I don't know what their salary cap situation is, but what I do know Is that it stinks that Joe McCoy was looking forward to see him play football this year as he's had a very good career in this league and a CZ we know was in Tampa for a while then goes to Carolina last year. Now this year with the Dallas Cowboys, his season is over. Unfortunate news of the Cowboys and unfortunate news for Joe McCoy's to stock down. And then finally, last one. The chief's on opening night air going allow 22% of the capacity of Arrowhead Stadium. Those fans into the building. In the same day, the Bears announced that they're going to allow zero fans this season in Soldier field. That's a problem for the NFL. And I know some stadiums and some teams. They're trying to put a certain amount of fans in and then others were saying We're not doing that. For example, MetLife Stadium. Jets and giants not having fans for now. That's a problem because if let's say the Bears have a home game Neutral site game basically for the road team other than that travel In terms of the atmosphere, the crowd there won't be any, You know, fans there except if you are the Chiefs and you go there. It's an event for the Chiefs or being at home. That's a little problematic. I get. You're not gonna have the universal policy just like the college football stuff have to conferences plan and three others not. There's going to be different rules for each state is different rules for each conference, but in one league in the NFL You wonder if you should make it all fans or no fans? I don't think they're going to make that. But it is weird to me that the Chiefs are gonna have some fans, but the Bears won't have any so stock down. If you're a Chicago Bears fan because of fortune, you won't be able to go to games for this upcoming season.

"These guys yeah, some of it is systematic Ni- DJ's like. Like Plato's Oh Air Force, and army teams, Navy, and autos things where they may not have the most impressive offensive line on the hook, but they play again. They play well within the system. This system is very problematic with all deception misdirection. The power gap stuff to power read run game that they're running. They give a lot a lot of pitches at you and you kind of feel like you're on your heels from the you know. It takes me back. I hate to keep represents smalls, but he's about when he had to throw a knuckleball Tony Gwynn they hit you with a flurry of knuckleball. Just kind of leave. You dazed and Befalto at the line of scrimmage in so Baltimore is definitely in the mix I think the team that people are surprised at isn't in there because. A lot of what people have talked about for the last three four five years has been about the Dallas cowboys office line, and how dominant they are and DJ study them the last couple of years. They haven't been there. Moore's reputation then reality like Tyron Smith was a really good player three four five years ago. He's not the same level player. Lil Collins you know we. We talked about them. Potentially a first round pick before this stuff happened, and he goes on drafted and still think that those Japanese kind of hang. Around him because I don't know if he's dominated to the level, so the Dallas cowboys being a team where on the outside we, we expect them to be a dominant thing deck. Scott has this fortress in front of him and I. Don't think they played it. A loved one on defense. demarcus Lawrence had a great year. Couple years inside. He hasn't had a playmate proper. Quinn was there, but he's gone. So who is the data complements him on the inside. They're hoping it's Gerald McCoy. But. Joe McCoy's not when he was younger between. You lost towns, did he? Law Lost Twenty pounds. He said he was he doing Peleton. What was he doing I? Don't know like last year. He talked about his his loss of explosiveness may have been due to his Vegan Diet. He was a strict Vegan last year and said that he just kind of felt sluggish at times, so he's kind of mixed it up and going back. Back to it, he's he's worked hard, and they not only have German quick. Don Tari Po plan right beside him, so they get to big bodies. Mike Nolan former colleague NFL network. Yeah, he wants to kind of use a hybrid defense, so we'll see I goes, but not that's off. Five looks saw. The Baltimore Ravens are the one team to kind of stands out to me. Yeah. That's a good one I think you're on it. I can make a case there, and you did make a very strong case for the Ravens being in that mix So maybe we just talk six top. Get around. Buck Mad..

"For them, which we sort of seen within it. I WANNA moved on to I. Mean Let's just look at some of the clients that he I mean he's got. Golden Tate he had he. Just had Joe Bro he he signed. Signed the he was the one who negotiated a couple of years ago. The market setting deal known he was the one who roots negotiated the marketing. Matt Ryan was one of his guys and Matt Ryan got the the top marketing deal for quarterbacks when he signed, and so it's definitely he's somebody and we played that audio you remember before where he talked about negotiating or getting Fletcher Cox Cox's negotiation done with the eagles. The Eagles are pressuring Fletcher Cox to Sign Todd France talked about flying in meeting up with Fletcher Insane. You know the team that benefits. Benefits from this deal is trying to tell you take it. Take it take it. Why would they take? Take take it if it's a great deal for you and and talked about you know kind of how tough they got that. It was a gamble that he said ended out netting them. You know thirty plus million dollars guaranteed money by waiting when they did and so he's not afraid to do this. and He of course is the representative for Joey Bosa Bosa was one of the more famous in recent years. Rookie holdouts because things weren't you know quite up to their liking in terms of language in the contract and so? Todd France has been known to to play hard ball and it's something I think the cowboys just. New they didn't want to necessarily deal with especially with the most important contract negotiation that they had it's not. It's not all gloom, though, because, because Dak Prescott. Well that still hanging out there they they did exclusively franchise him, so he is GonNa be here next year, and they locked up cooper despite a reportedly late push from the Washington redskins and reports out there saying that it was lots more money than the cowboys ended up signing and four or five years hundred, million and sixty million guaranteed. You surprised at all that that's the route. Amari decided to say he apparently decided to go for the cowboy brand or the comfortability. You know how comfortable he was with the cowboys over the loads of money that Washington apparently was offering him. Actually live in new coach. Ron Rivera but Our Boy Orlando's drake once told me or told someone close to them that related to me until you are very different. In Washington it is great to be a Dallas Cowboy with player and everything that comes with it. I think what I appreciate about. Amari Cooper of his word. When he told me that the pro bowl that he didn't see himself going anywhere else. In fact, listen to this interview. You want to be back in Dallas. Hardly Dallas. needs to be a player. To have the opportunity to play on continuing. Basically changes and stuff like that. And then they wouldn't. Listen. I love being a Dallas Cowboy I love everything about it. I was just thinking about that today. I think about it almost every day. Really you know just. Primetime Games I play. More Games than anybody in that always feels good football player The facility I love it here for school. I said now. just the are van. Dallas Cowboy can't beat it so. I WANNA be a Dallas Cowboy for life, so he basically told us he's sticking around. But as you know money changes, everything We certainly saw that with Randall Cobb. I I thought rental car until leaving first of all I mean. He played on a one year five million dollar deal, and when you just think of what Randall COBB did last year I mean there are people that questions about his production whether he still had it, and then he ended up with fifteen point yards per catch in one season, fifty five passes for eight, hundred twenty eight yards and then. This was the guy I just I just thought was. Such a glue in the locker room, and you know my sources in Houston told me the reason why they loved him with that. He's smart player that they is the inside outside left for them. And this thing came together pretty quick. If you weren't familiar with the terms to deal three years twenty seven million dollars that cowboys. We're not going to pay Randall COBB. No? No, we're close and he. He was guy. Not only you mentioned the eight hundred yards, or whatever? That was the guy who I i. don't know if people remember a. he had some hard luck to with penalties taken off about another two hundred yards on the board. He was had unusually bad luck with. Illegal motion or holding plays the that took away. For in this season, so he he was definitely a a top. You know tears slot receiver for them this past year, and as you mentioned a great Glue Guy Absolutely one of my favorite people. I've run into in that locker room. In terms of just as professionalism and total gentleman, and and not to mention a and I say this married man, the most beautiful is you'll ever see randall talk they are. They are gorgeous. You get lost in those is. And I gotTa Tell Ya. We're being transparent I. Did have a little bit of a goal crush on his wife Ida, Cobb chemical, patent, attorney, and absolutely stunning Such a great family, and so I think the locker, and think about it and can veteran leadership. They're losing Jason Witten Com I'm glad our Voice Sean Lee comes back from what is it? I think it's love and Steve. Eleventh season, he he missed one for for injury, but yeah eleven years now at the cowboys and I think back to the rams game where they kind of kept playoff hopes alive and and in the locker room. I just think back to Jordan Lewis when asked me to? What was it like? See such great game from Sean Lee and Jordan Lewis said. That's our captain and it didn't matter that he didn't. Have you know the C Patch on his Jersey or anything else I think that is important. That defense does view Sean Lee as their leader, and that's the guy that they turn to and so routine. That seemingly lacked a lot of. Leadership, I think at times last year and Veterans Savvy. And now losing Randall Cobb and Jason Witten and Jeff Heath I. Think it is nice that you're going to be able to at least keep Sean. Lee and place especially with You know still some squishy nece in terms of comments from Steven Jones and the organization on on win exactly late and vanishes supposed to be ready. Scott love that it. It is a little bit. and. a couple of other things Joe McCoy. Let's not overlook finding. Miss Your Promo themselves which I think is funny that you know. Gerald, McCoy who is like a Rod Marinelli Prototype Rodman. Elliot's often you know fond over when he gets asked about him and the media. I think it's a little funny. Slash Sad. That Rod Marilyn Mel Depart Stats when Gerald, McCoy finally ends up with the cowboys A A six time. Pro Bowler spent his first nine years with the buccaneers. Then he had last year with Carolina, eight straight seasons of at least five sacks. Signs a three year eighteen million dollar deal mine million guaranteed. He just turned thirty two, so he is on the. Higher end of the age spectrum, and it essentially can be a one year deal. They do have some opt-outs options after next season, so I don't know that bringing in jail. McCoy necessarily discounts them from. Looking at interior defensive linemen earlier in the draft either. It's it's fascinating Let's throw it another name. throws getting CENTREX. Record this of a big one. We haven't yet is Robert Quinn leaving. To the bears for five or seventy million dollars which. Is If you'll remember I know. The CAP has grown since then, but five or seventy million dollars was the deal that Dez Bryant got the cowboys. You know stressed so much finally you know putting pen to paper on and so Robert Quinn got a sizable amount of money. a lot of guys getting paid here, you know. Robert Quinn goes Randall. "Yup and and that. That's that's that's shame but look look he is also he. James didn't lose the game by himself though. People are going to say that all they want. He didn't lose the game by himself. We have seen James Throw four interceptions in a game and they. They still overcome that because they still kept the game tight they still kept the game. Close even even in the midst of all those other turnovers even in the midst of those pick sixes. This team is still in it and the team still comes back and scores and they still with the exception this last game. They're still averaging damn near thirty points. A game twenty nine point one. Is that what it is right now and. That's that's all stuff there's your because even though is bad as he's been which by the way it's been his worst season as far as interceptions this this is the outlier hopefully forever and and like you said we're still in it or in every game shit. Oh On that Texans game game even with four interceptions five total turnovers. I believe the pick six like how many games this year we await. Listen into this year. How many points the buck score in the second half? I would have bet my house that if if if you told me that the bucks only had to score a touchdown out and the whole second half they would've won that game I would bet my. They scored three points all secondhand. Yeah three yeah you know. Why push the ball down? The field remember like the Texas came down and scored and got kicked field goal. We got the ball and it took us like what it was like a twelve play drive and they converted on third down like four times because it kept Dinckinson thinking in Dunkin. 'cause left which was protecting Winston can't run the ball and we tied it up and then they kept that kind of philosophy till the end in via time. It's too late and came a break. Great drop the ball right. That's what you get when you train you do the dink and Doug game with James Winston. They don't have the horses around him to do that. That's not the style of the way the offense is built right eat. I don't care if you think I don't care if you think it's wrong. That's the bucks aren't Built to do to grind the ball down the field for as much people say. Just don't take with the defense gives you Blah Blah Blah Gray. Our our offense to Susan built for that you can't do first second and third down because in the dink offsets. That is the run game right and we don't have one at all at all at all the end. So buccaneers pay thirty million dollars a year. It's cheap jump on it get to it now. I've got a few more but that actually took up a lot more time than I thought it would A couple of things were quick. Lante David made the all decade team. I I want to spend some time on this because I think he deserves fair enough. Let's frustrated with our about at all not at all. I do not believe you now. This is where I'm going to say. No David shouldn't prove it to me. No good don't you feel like Levante David like all our what do you call our peacocking about Lafontaine David and talking about how. He's the most underrated and overlooked player. Possibly in the NFL NFL has finally come like someone else recognize it in the NFL itself as putting him three line. Middle Off Ball. Middle Off Ball linebackers Akers and they all decade team guys got IDA. The article says one pro bowl and won all pro. I saw someone else to pros when all pro but being a decade team and the only having one pro bowl possibly I I think that just goes to highlight the the fallacy. That is the pro bowl and that we put way too hugh much weight into pro bowls. I mean you still have to be good to make the pro bowl. Nobody nobody's shabbes giving in. That's not the right word but like no bad players getting into. I don't I don't know what that means. Yeah no there's not a bad player that's getting into the pro bowl like you're going to get in if you're earning. I'm sorry if you're in that's because you're good. Are you better than ex player over here. Well that that can be a topic of debate was was this a pro bowl year for Levante this particular urine twenty nineteen when compared to the other people who got in. Well we've had that conversation conversation and maybe it really wasn't Right but I think when you look at Levantis career what is this as eighth and ninth season in the League when you look at it over the course of those eight nine nine years. I mean it's a no brainer. It's absolutely no brainer again. I I don't watch enough and certainly over. The last decade. Haven't watched enough other teams to know where he falls in comparison to everybody else but I do know that he You know there's been another player who has been touted as the best player on this team team for a Lotta years and that may not have been right. It really might like like we might have been underrating Levante David here within our own bucks. Fandom you've got make sense like he really may have been the best player over the last decade. It's UH prefer was the media organization itself. Yeah I don't know I I. Yeah I don't know but I'm glad to see Lavar get you know. Get some love. I'm glad to see him. Get some stuff out there and oh by the way. According to Scott Reynolds the bucks will enter into talks with David to extend his contract this year as they should. Yeah I agree. I mean even the guy that wrote the article said in the article this might be the most underrated rated player on the entire list. Yeah I mean it just makes you just gives it makes you feel like you know all this time of touting about this kind of stuff And someone someone recognized you know like you said earlier with the blue checkmark but what do you think the bucks to sign Labonte David. I mean he'll be thirty. Yeah I do yeah I do too. I'm with yeah I mean it's it's I don't know for how much I don't know. What a going rate for Levante David at his age would be a really? Don't but you know if there's any way that they can make at work if there's any way they can get him back in. I think just for just for clarity. Say I think he still has one more year left on his current contract so if they enter into those negotiations this year it would really be more of an extension than it would be saving him from free agency so Y- yeah I mean Labontes one of those guys you want him to retire a buccaneer. Oh yeah you know I. How was he retired? Thirty five thirty. I mean I think I think rendezvous was thirty six when he retired so you know this would be this. Ostensibly would be his his last contract. You Know I. He's probably got a couple of good years left and then we might start seeing the waning stuff. But like he's entering into that into at that phase where his presence and his leadership on the team and his production are at a high right now and one might start waning over the other. But it's the it's still balances out for this is a guy you've got to keep on your team all right And you you you mentioned it ring of honor you know. I still have questions if Joe McCoy as a future ring of honor guy. Maybe as maybe Levada David there's no question in my mind future have honor and I've always been and I don't want to have discussion about Gerald but I've always Komo McCoy ring of Honor Guy said it many times in the show and defended it but now that he's gone and like you never heard about. How Labonte was this leader in the locker? You know you never heard. He always too quiet too. Quiet Quiet Guy Gerald lease and all of a sudden he steps up along with is j. p. p. and now these guys are like the ripi hairless sort of stuff and David's numbers better and all those types of things so I always thought McCoy will be lock was because this set the glazer after Malcolm. Am if you will like. They needed their ring of honor. Guy Right it was. It was set to McCoy because he was a guy that was always pushed out by the organization. He was the guy at the media always went to talk to a once a week in the L. sermon at his locker occur. And you know he was the guy that made six pro bowls in a couple all pros and it's like I ki Ki. He has to make it like they need their guy right but with Gerald leaving and it looks like Dante staying. I think Labonte comes to guy de Gerald probably makes it but I don't think it's nearly as a slam dunk is is i. Did you know nine months ago. Yeah I mean. I don't care to necessarily talk about Gerald. He's not on the team right now and if he does final. We'll cross that bridge when it comes. I'm not against it. I'm just saying I don't know that he's as much of a lock I do. Think Onto David is one hundred percent or lock And that's probably GONNA set some people off. Some people would like to have a blue check next to their name But but you know tons of people out there But I don't I don't really care. Levante David. I think is a shoe in for future ring on her type guys and this is it and so I do that. All right Scott Reynolds also says that he believes that. The buccaneers should extend Demar datsuns contracts. Now Dan you and I have often talked about tomorrow Dotson Eh tried to kick him out of the last couple of years But I thought we should. We should at least talk about it. Demar Dotson is he a guy that that really should have his contract extended. I don't know if you read Scott's Breakdown he had some pretty glowing things to say about about Demar as did the rest of the team. Yeah and and I think it's a I don't thinks got sort of took it far enough Because the way I feel about it is do I want tomorrow Dotson back back. Yes I do absolutely do I want Demar Dotson starting at right tackle absolutely not but we've seen sort of these guys that Oh the bucks had to go to to bring in for their backup. You know the first guy in for the tackle in the first guy in on the guard right and they're not good An they traded for one they set the roster ejected. The ones we had found one found another one of those guys have stuck around but when they're in like would it take Josh Wells. Like two plays Winston sacked right when Wyndham Smith broke his thumb. So I I'm not GonNa pin that on on him but I don't know maybe but You know and then they had. OJ Howard over there. The whole entire game or bring in Waterford off the bench over there. You know running a a replace one guy with two. Yeah exactly exactly but if you bring dot back who said. I'M NOT GONNA play for peanuts but I'm sure you meant. NFL peanuts uh-huh you know he's only making like four six million right now if they put them back like three or two yeah. Will you come sit the bench for two million dollars dot what no I know I'm with you. I'd like to see them. Drafter even bring in a potentially a starting right tackle and then bring bring Demar Dotson awesome back as leadership as our health. Extend his contract bringing another guy and let them battle it out and they got. How long did we keep Evan? frigging Smith on this roster just honestly to be benched guy how long Joe Holly on this roster we capture holly for a full year on this roster just as bench guy..

"So what you have to do is you have to go up in there and tie a rope. What this what we did tire rope to the cast's legs and straighten him out. And so we're, we're we got this wrote man. And we are pulling China straightness calf out inside this count, and that stuff never that's never leaves you dude. And everybody's like, man, why don't you eat red meat. It's not really because I grew up on a cattle. Are we ate state for every meal? I mean every every second or third meal when I was a kid, we ate state. We were like we were like uncle Rico on the Polian. Donna might he ate steak every meal. And but I just don't now it's not my fame, and as I've researched and read over the years. I'm kinda glad I took that approach. But you never know man. I'm I'm I start my. Here's what we need to do. I'm hoping that one of the TV bosses are listening right now, Cam Newton and Joe McCoy or vegan. They also happened. I live in Charlotte. You live near Charlotte. I think we need a little feature where you guys go out to eat, and you talk about it, and do a full dive into it. I guess a great idea TV bosses. Let's get this going great idea. I'll actually pitch it. That's a really good idea. And it is interesting me like what do you eat? How do you when you when you walk into a restaurant? How do you. Peruse a menu because most elite restaurants in this country. What is their specialty steak? And so you always go in like if we go to del friscos, or Morton's or you know, one of those, like, super high end amazing steak places. They typically have phenomenal salmon too. And there's a reason for clowns like me, who show up at stake place and want to eat a piece of fish, but. I'm so prescient of Gerald again. I man, I live up like Norman, you'd come on over to ride the jet skis, even though the Panthers don't wanna hear that and, and hang out, but it's great to have him in Charlotte. I was in New Orleans. We're going to transition over to my week and travis's week real fascinating week for me. Speaking of the NFC, south, I was in New Orleans, four four or five days last week preparing for the NBA draft in and immersed in Zaylon mania, and I had just a blast down there. I had I love Louisiana. I love louisianans. I'll love new orleanians like they welcomed me like I was their brother and that I was a native to, and we hosted a huge crawfish bowl down air and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and learning about the way that they approach life and learning about their philosophy that. If you love us, we're gonna love you back, especially as a pertains to their athletes. Drew brees. Travis drew Brees is the moat like I don't know now maybe maybe Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay TB twelve in New England. I don't know but it's different with Brees in that city. It's completely different. There's a level of depth there that I've not experienced all over this country, going to different towns and cities covering all these different things. I don't know any athlete that is more revered beloved respected, and appreciated and drew Brees is in a five. Oh, four. "And I might you know, we're not trying to, you know act like we're on a higher mount here. But from Koi that, you know, he's played a lot. He's made a lot of money in the National Football League. He's, he's been a wonderful player and he's going to be a good player this year for the Carolina Panthers. But what he got was a good old, less life lesson at what it should have been. It should have been an, you know, an absolute red flag up the up the flag post or white flag that of there, being concerned he should not have been blindsided about getting cut when nobody's reaching out to you TASR if you have any kind of business. Drawing here. all right i'm not part of the i'm not part of their planes if if when i'm talking to the coaches of running into them in the building when i'm working out and they're not pulling me aside then the writing should be on the wall if you have any kind of business sense whatsoever that i'm not part of the solution correct from their us and you're right and and you mentioned something about business sense like you have no business sense if you're like delusional like that and you know what is what a lot of these athletes that are coming out of playing for big programs college and then they jettison right to the n._f._l. this case or the n._b._a. right the justin right into the n._f._l. and they flourish and so most most of the athletes believe it or not like in a lot of them don't have they never been had a regular job because you're an athlete so i mean your families families financially need you to work during the summer when you're away you know i'm not saying no ethics work i don't want to stereotype bunch athletes but a lot of them don't work Got a train during the summer and get ready, you know especially as the visual player in the intensity of camp. You got to be ready. And, and so they go right out of college right into the NFL which I'm not saying not a job, but you know, and now you're a flourishing as a player McCoy is what the bucks. So everybody around him. Everybody every staffer in that in that organization has been, you know, bending over backwards fam-. So he's never had that disconnect. He's never had any. He has this ascents. I mean I hate to pass judgment on the guy, but that's poverty, if he's going publicly and he's saying, wow. These guys never reached out to me, nothing to people like you and I and everybody else. Listen, it's like letting you know they didn't want you. Right. Why would you that? A little naive, right? I mean just but he could feel an for Carolina ties panther fan. What I'm excited about is. That's more guests to the engine. Right. Right. If you're if you're a Carolina fan when you hear the Joe McCoy, making the comments as made to Fox Sports one, you know what I'm happy. I'm happy if I'm Ron Rivera. I'm happy. This is L. He's thirty one years of age. He feels disrespected by Tampa. They're going to be in the same division. He wanted to play the buccaneers onto occasions during the course of the regular season. We know he's been a game record in the past has I mean, this is what you know, I will more of this. I want mcchord if even more disrespected, because I want the best of Gerald McCoy and certainly I want him to be lighten up James Winston everytime. He sees any will. Yeah. He's a good player man. And I think you're right. His motor will be cranked and ready to go. And I think he's going to wreak havoc when he played bucks. Eight five five two two four CVS, eight five five two two four to seven this general McCoy of a right to build this respected by Tampa Bay. Want to hear from you? "Eric, the Kosta is just been named you know, his first year, taking over for Ozzie Newsome. This is first round. And Eric had opportunities to leave every single year right to leave Baltimore. And he didn't do it because he knew he had that one shot ended up. Wait long enough. So he just took over for Ozzy, but that's somebody that, that Joe knows well, if you saw firsthand be patient, make sure you get the right one. I real I know you only got a couple of minutes here. It's again talking to Daniel, Jeremiah. The thing as a jet fan. The thing that may be excited me, most, I'm very happy about the keenum Williams draft, hopefully, this guy's going to be the real deal. We'll see, but the thing that probably excited me more than anything else Daniel was Greg Williams defensive coordinator. There because the head coach side, she was a disaster. He's too. All right. Greg Williams run in the defense. That excites me it really does it should I be excited about him being the defensive coordinator. I think so you look at Greg's going to bring a lot of energy and I think he's got some of the chess pieces to be able to do some real unique things. When you look at what most I can do it to linebacker position, right? Especially what Adams is going to be able to do in the back end. He's gonna loud to do a lot of different things. But the, the, the added bonus there, it's not lost on me. How well how quickly Baker Mayfield adjusted in the NFL last year you can't tell me that practicing against that great Williams defense every day in training camp. Or you see every imaginable did not prepare him for his own his own start when he got on the field. I think that's gonna help Sam having a chance to play against that complicated defense each and every day. Interesting should be very interesting. Do you see yourself down the road getting back into the front office? Or are you going to be the TV guy now for the rest of your career? Yeah. Look really says you never say never I I love what I'm doing. You know, I we had s'mores last night. Now why the kids were swimming. I did not have a tear in the world about what my you know, went running back was gonna look like the next day he's going get hurt or any of that stuff. So it's not a bad life. I don't blame you. And you know what I give you this real good at it. I mean you become a star. I think you're the most respected draft guy now on TV. So keep it up, and I was year adviser, Dan, you might say, keep it going and ask for more money. That's why I got I've got emphasis to stay in this role now because I know that my two my two best friends, New York might come asking. The other side they say all the more reason to stick put I quickly on Kenyan Williams. How are you on him? He's a stud. He's a stuntman he can line up anywhere and do anything and he talks. He looks like he's fifteen years old. His strength yet. I mean he's only going to get bigger and stronger. So he's got a chance to be, you know, I people ask them because you compare to, and I said, well, if you like it down the consumer, like Joe McCoy. I think he's the best of both. Oh, wow. Not bad. We'll take it Daniel. We appreciate them Daniel. Take your time and thank you. Daniel, Jeremiah, you can follow me on Twitter, at moving the stakes. He's on NFL network. I mentioned this earlier on in the interview that Pat Shurmur comments day. I'm reading it from Tom Rockin. Newsday does leave it very open. The Daniel Jones is gonna compete for this job. He said about Jones is on track with the goal, to be ready to play day one. The quarterback stuff will be on the front burner for everybody. I get that, but he's on track. He says he's constantly wing Eli against Jones in deciding who gives the team the best chance to win. We're gonna play very best player. So I if Daniel Jones up starting what the hell did. They bring Eli manning back to begin with. And if Daniel Jones is going to start early on anyway, wanted to bring you manning back to begin with. Robert here in the mid day. Oh, I don't I don't I didn't love Soo when he played anywhere else. I know he was dirty player step on your neck when he gets worried about that. And for him to a battle between the two of them I didn't dislike Joe McCoy. He just wasn't worth the money game. Now it's going to be a fun story to follow to see you. Who, who does better? Especially when they play he's the thing is McCoy's not gonna play here in Tampa this year because the home game in London is against the Panthers and the bucks of the home team go to game too. So let's go to that. The only problem is that I can't I sway of your listen, don't get mad at me means we talked about going. We go we go. "Eight regular season. They're not reducing the preseason games unless they're adding regular season games because they're not going to. They're not going to take in less revenue from the season. Ticket holders the neck and say, okay, we'll just have to preseason games and sixteen regular season. And so we're going to give back, you know, seventy thousand times one hundred or whatever it is. They're not doing that. I mean they're not they're not doing that. So the only way they reduced the number of preseason games in my mind is if they add regular season games, which I don't think it's going to happen. But here's the thing to I never understand people's gripe with preseason games, you know, with the practice rules being what they are and no real developmental league. It's the best chance to actually see what some of these young guys have the offer you can play your starters as much or as little in them as you'd like, and it's a great chance to actually see what some of these other guys have, I would say anything. Should ask preseason games not take them away? And as for the bills stadium and I hit that pretty hard. It might happen. But I just don't envision the goal is ever getting to the point where they really threatened to leave buffalo for so many reasons. So I just don't know if it's really that great of leverage for the NFL. You also touched on the Gerald McCoy news. And I saw on Twitter on your Twitter. It's strong opinions regarding what the bucks did in this situation. I don't like your Bri. I don't like it. You know, Joe McCoy nine years there in Tampa gave everything had on and off the field to my knowledge. Never did anything wrong. He did all the right stuff. And yet Bruce Arians who's been in Tampa. All of five minutes is going to come out and he's going to be talking about how Gerald McCoy isn't what he wants was isn't a good fit. I guess I just don't care for that. I don't I don't like that. I don't know why he would do that. Why would you do that if you are Bruce Arians, I don't get it? That's number one. Number two. They kept him until there was a chant ticket actually get hurt and they'd be on the hook for thirteen million at the IOT as they kept him till late may don't really care for that either. I don't think that's a great way to, to treat. You know one of your franchise players and leaders for a decade. You know, limiting his options you weren't going to be able to trade him with thirteen million dollars. So I didn't really care for that either Bri and then right away. And this last part, isn't that big a deal because they signed to they needed. Somebody sue wanted, number ninety three. Okay. I can kind of see that right? But that was just a little extra rubbing salt in jail. Mccoy's wounds little little bit of extra salt in Gerald wounds in my opinion..

"About I am. Let's go. Anything can happen in sports and often does what's right. What's wrong? And who's just crazy. We decide. Inbounds in out of bounds. Now. Tiki and Tierney, which I would have gone to Ireland a little bit earlier because that's when I had a shot of James, you have been a couple of hours earlier would have been nice. Why don't we go? What are we gonna see my people? All right. Take over bucks storage McCoy hot commodity. We know about this now little bit of surprise Tampa released and that was not wasn't really the surprise surprise was that he was going to stick with either the Browns at the ravens and the Panthers moved in side door. That's actually how went down yesterday McCoy signs a one year deal to play with Carolina worth less than what both the Browns and the ravens who made their second day, if you were recall yet we touch on this last week what what they offered him. So it took less money stay with Carolina to go to Carolina. Now, some people believe that McCoy wants to get back at the bucks, who the who the Panthers play twice a year, so we get a and then they even gave Dhamma consumers number right away. I mean, no respect for general McCoy camman on inbound outbound sided with a team in. In order to get revenge on your former team is in bounds or out about say out of bounds here if it's the only reason that you're signing with the Carolina Panthers. It very rarely works out that you get your revenge devastating way out of bounds for that. But it was interesting because gentle lane who is a beat reported down there at camp for him Buchan ears noted the coincidence, the timing of the buccaneers giving endowment ensued is number ninety three edges said. And in the immediate sighting of McCoy, Joe McCoy some tweeted back like come on, you just making up stories and things of that nature. But she wrote back she responded to him, saying you have my number you could've told me that the real story in and it kinda ended. So is it a revenge thing? Probably a little bit. But it can't be the only thing because you're going to be dissatisfied. That's what you think is going to make you feel better. Okay. I'll go to answer this just solely. From his point of view because I do think if I answered in, you know, base just in generalities, I might have a bit of a different answer. My answer is inbound, and I'll tell you why. He's got all the money in the world. He's, he's made six pro bowls. Now, he's still chasing the championship, and you can certainly make the case that the tween the ravens the Browns and the Panthers you can even though everybody's hot on the Browns and you and I both liked him coming into the season, you can make a pretty strong case of cameras. Healthy, you know, pretty good defense up into lines know McCaffrey's a beast. I mean, they're starting to spruce things up there that the Panthers could advocate. Little as well. So it's not like he's compromising winning. But with the money and theoretically going to good team. I don't think he's compromising the important things enough where it's just a reckless emotional decision. Yeah. I agree with that way. And listen, if you get a chance to win get paid and beat the team that dumped you, hey, let's go for it. I think in this specific.

And so he had sat our Ron Rivera previously and basically Rivera realized this off season that if he doesn't take control of his defense, and he doesn't get it back to the level that it's been at for several years before the departure of all these coordinators, Sean McDermott, or Steve Wilks out the door that he's probably gonna lose his job. And I think he understands that being multiple and being versus. Is really key. And so what you're going to see from the, the Panthers this year with gerbil coy want short, and John Kerry POE, or a bunch of three man fronts, and then they're gonna have these linebackers, you know, Shaq Thompson pass rushers Bruce Irvin, and, and Brian burns, the rookie they drafted in the first round, and then you're gonna have, you know, they're going to be flying off the edge, and you're gonna like Leuke cle- roaming free in the middle because McCoy short poke can can lock up defenders, and they're going to be able to sort of morph into something different when they need to against various opponents. And so at least Ron Rivera's mind, what this is defense with McCoy, that gives them so much more versatility, because of his ability against Iran. His ability to rush from the inside if he needs to, and that's why the Panthers you'll see this much Jim. I mean they maybe Eric read they did it with, but I mean, do spend big on free agents. You're the last time bigger free agent was back in two thousand eleven when Jerry. Richardson wanted to make himself look like less of a jerk to the players. So we had mardi Ernie go out there and make it rain and free agency in science Johnson for like eighty million bucks. There's not big spenders, but they were one of the big spenders when it came to go after McCoy. Hey price, tag is it's high one year deal eight million to ten to half million..

"We'll get back to some NBA conversation about the course of the morning butts as always, there's drama in the NFL. So the help us break down. ESPN NFL insider Dan, Graziano, joins us, Dan. Thanks for the time this morning. I'm glad you're here hijacked the show for go. Sirius radios doing top thousand country songs of all time listening to put it on last week driving back there at seven. So, I'll listen. Listen, see how this ends up. Seven was devil went down to Georgia. Six was he stopped loving her today? Okay. I would have thought candidate for number one to number five is Springsteen, by Eric church now context, four was, I will always love you threes Folsom prison, blues, too is crazy. And one is friends in low places. So even if you like Springsteen by our church, right? And even if your church fanning, maybe he's a friend years. What's he doing in that group? He doesn't Dolly Parton, Johnny cash and Patsy, Kline George Jones, you're talking about a group of songs from now, we'll still be played and that is not the case for state. That's an abomination having access to someone like yourself. I didn't want to let this in yielding at me for a week. I'm with you. What in your mind is the top, like, like, in the last decade country song? Because as you mentioned, the one you were listening. Right. Right. Right. I think Johnson or somebody Stapleton's got some. I mean, I'll have to think on that, okay? But I would also say like glad you brought that up later. There's so many, there's so many people listen to people like people be upset. Oh, like what are you doing? Eric still think you doesn't belong to churches surprise. Eric church is great. It's all spectacular. Does not belong in that list that we are one hundred percent of the we're going to get to the bottom of this fits figure out a moderate candidate eighties right now. The very first song popped into my mind that I think, is underrated that history will remember from this era is crushed by little big town like that. History will remember but it doesn't belong. That doesn't believe in that top ten list at all doesn't, like none of them are full. I'm just saying, okay, so Dan Graziano joins us. I know. It's been on my mind. We, we heard yesterday for the first time from Adam gates. So do you have any great takeaway from what gay said? And and how the situation was handled. There's an old axiom that the winners get to write history. Right. So you ask him what happens? That's not what happened. Look, we're gonna find out. I mean, Adam gates in Miami had fifty three man roster control and, and did a lot of stuff with it in terms of shipping. Guys out that he didn't like he talked about culture, you know, he's gonna wanna have some obviously some say, in how that's all structured and we'll see who they hire GM. And I'm sure it'll be even if he's not, quote unquote, picking the GM. I'm sure it'll be a GM that they believe can work in concert with him. And obviously, they felt like Mike McCann and couldn't so to me, I'm looking at it and saying, whatever however they got to this point in a dizzying four months span, which Adam gates was fired by the dolphins and hired by the jets. And now runs the jets. It's on him now. So I if Sam darnold flops if, if the team doesn't come together if Levy on does not, you know, mix in with the rest of the roster and the offense that's going to be on him, and it's going to be pretty hard for him and his career to recover, if it doesn't work for Adam gates and the jets at this point, he's whether it's him did, whether it's either did it or whether it's Woody in Christopher Johnson, did it everything is now on Adam gays with the jets. It's his team and it's his responsibility to get it. Right. Not that matters fair unfair. I think it's fair. I mean these guys get they get paid a lot of money. I mean, I think he's I think he would probably welcome that kind of pressure and believes in himself that he can that he can pull it off. So, you know, we'll see that the story will be told largely by, you know how long Brady and Belle checks in New England and the development, obviously of Sam darnold, and what happens long term with the jets, but it's, it's pretty amazing that gas, the gas has has ascended to this level in such a short period of time after four months after the dolphins fired him talking to Dan. Rasi Ana with us in studio. ESPN NFL insider. And I guess that's my follow up is, what's the barometer for success? What we see this year for the jets that would say are Adam gays and Sam darnold. And year one together have done enough to warrant everything we've seen thus far we, we have to see obvious advancement from darnold. We liked the way he played in December when he came back after taking that couple of games off because he was hurt and he was kinda overwhelmed came back played well in December. But now he's got to learn a new offense. You know, he's got he's got to incorporate a few things that he didn't have to last year. They didn't really get a center we thought they would they would go out and do you know, so they're patching things together a little bit on the line, which isn't great for him Levy on obviously helps. But I think we have to see Sam darnold, take step. I don't think it's got to be year to Carson Wentz level step because I don't think that's realistic for the jets. I don't think they're rosters and that kind of shape. But I think if you if you come through this year, and say, we have confidence as jets organiser. Jets fans that Sam darnold is the guy and his performance in two thousand nine thousand nine has instilled confidence. Then I think you're you're on a pretty good. Pretty good trajectory. There we're talking to ESPN NFL insider, Dan Gazi on Golic and wingo. Jason Fitz for tray with Mike Golic, Michael junior, a lot of chatter yesterday as everybody's having a conversation about marijuana and the NFL. Do you feel like we're getting closer what's, what's a reasonable expectation moving forward with the league in marijuana? I think a reasonable expectation we saw this. This committee was formed announced earlier this week about pain management will look into alternative therapies, and obviously, marijuana the first thing that jumps to mind from people that see and hear that. And the people involved in this have talked openly about it this week. I think what's realistic is, is not a world NFL world in which they no longer test marijuana. I think what, what the, the players union side, for example, would want is a system in which they continue to test for marijuana, but they don't punish for it, right? So you use the testing. Kind of a diagnostic tool. Hey, this guy's using a lot of marijuana. Is he hiding an injury? Right. Is he dealing with something in his life that requires some other form of help, and that's where, you know, the mental health professionals that they're gonna have installed at every team that's where someone like that might be able to step in? So I think the idea is sort of an acknowledgment of we as a culture or in a different place with marijuana than we were a decade ago, two decades ago, and so some of the attitudes around have to change. And I think, you know, you accept that this is this is part of the culture to an extent that it didn't use to be. And how do we work in a world where that's the case? I think that would be what the steps they'd wanna get to not necessarily. We don't test marijuana smoke. Whatever marijuana one, it's we're going to test for it. We're not going to suspend you for it, because it might mean something other than you know, you're a drug abuser just for context. That's exactly what the NFL does right now for national drugs. They do not punish for recreational drugs. They use it as, as a dance at a diagnostic type of test. Which would be I almost ironic in the fact that now the NFL's drug test is once a year and it sort of a throwaway whereas, if you were to go and use it like that, in theory, you attest more, so you could have a better barometer for things like that. And actually do some good in that process. Dan, one more onfield one before we let you get outta here is a lot of the offseason talk lately has been around Gerald McCoy and that situation in Tampa Bay. They signed in Dhamma consumed for what I think, about four million dollars last about four limb over nine million can make up two tenths OB between three and four million three and four million for what you're getting is that worth leading a guy who was as important your franchises, Joe McCoy was go? I think they just didn't have a choice. I as I understand it Tampa Bay is up against the cap and needs that money and thirteen was going to be too high a figure for them to carry mcquaid. These are cold calculations teams make at this point in a player's career, and Gerald McCoy greatest. He isn't as important. He's been to that team and that, that that city just isn't playing to that. Level anymore. So he could he would it would not be any surprise anyone. If he goes to say Cleveland, or someplace and takes off again, you know, has this sort of late career kind of spike? We see that with players and he's a highly motivated guy, but it was just really a numbers game. And if you can get sue for nine or ten versus McCoy for thirteen wasn't gonna restructure. They couldn't find a trade partner. So he ends up getting cut, which is cold move, replacing like that. But yeah, I understand my understanding was the number was just not tenable for them. Cleveland hosting it. I guess if they said about ten teams of Cleveland hosting me as well. It wouldn't be wouldn't shock us if Cleveland up that defense. Absolutely right. Yeah. That's what we need more stars. So we can hype the Browns more come on. There's everybody's on the Browns train off, Cleveland, my friend. Like three and a half months of the season starts. I'm not gonna say. Not here. Not letting plenty that follow him on Twitter at Dan, Gazi on ESPN. Dan, we appreciate your time. Thanks for hanging out drinking breaking down country list, a little later because of Dan. Well, that's an inevitability and, and joins timeless, even if you don't like those songs even if you don't like them every bar bandit in every every yeah, we'll have that coming up a game seven guarantee. We'll get to that after this..

"I don't like the way that he's been leading over the last couple years because he wasn't that leader when he came in. He was led by the defense, and he kind of evolved into the leadership role as the starting quarterback. I wanna see more from him. Like, I see from drew Brees. Like I see from Tom Brady because he's up there in that list of quarterbacks to Super Bowl victories. Hey, you're up there. So I wanna see more from him. But I think Mike Tomlin can coach anywhere. I think at Thomas was available. Sorry, Jerry Jones. There would be offered for Mike Tomlin not like Jerry Jones say for five five stop. They come on. Let's be honest. But I think Mike Tom is a great leader of men. And if you wanna keep it has to be coach or player our culture quarterback in even I think the Steelers right now choosing quarterback over coach Jerry Jones have fired Jason Todd. Okay. Moving on. Let's go. Down to Tampa. Couple news and notes across the league ESPN reporting that there's a real chance the bucks could release Gerald McCoy turns thirty one next month can save thirteen million dollars against the cap by cutting him. So like Joe McCoy met have a new home next year. What do you think about that possible move? What have we won with Joe McCoy? That's the question if I'm general manager Jason light who's I've talked to. No, no, Jason really, well, and I would say Jason you carrying that much on your roster. What can you show for it? Does defense has been poor. So we've been poor with you. We're going to be port without you. We're going to save thirteen million dollars. And maybe we go out and draft. And we talked to Bucky Brooks yesterday on the show the fame of this year's draft is defensive heavy defensive play makers defensive line. What if you can get a Q Williams from Alabama to replace a journal McCoy? So I think it when I see these reports that are being released those rumors. There. Rumors because you're testing the temperature. Meaning that could there be a team who possibly wants to trade for Joe McCoy's. So that the puck and ears can get a draft pick or at when it's time for the league's new year to start over. I think he will not be a Tampa Bay Buccaneers. So it's a real story. But I think those are floated around CV get some trade partners. Right. What do you think the market is for Joe McCoy? He is thirty one. Yeah. He's thirty one. I don't know if there's much of a market, I think you look at indomitable sue with the Rams, and I would say that if McCoy was released that will be the market possibly looking for a one year deal approve it deal. Do you work within our defense? Right. And if you do then you can get another two or three year deal to kind of injure career, but I don't see him plan past thirty four thirty five especially the position he plays. You have to be not only dominant, but you have to be a difference maker. And it he hasn't made that much of a difference because the defense is still been poor. Now, maybe it's because of the guys around him. But we're saying, hey, we can do I guess better without you and start over up the middle. Couple of offense coordinator positions filled. The lions hire former Seahawks OC Daryl Bevill to fill that spot Jaguars Darryl. Go ahead that his lasting legacy. You gotta override the coach at some point. You know, it Bill of sorry. Pete Carroll tells you to hey, let's throw it down. Here. You got to be able to say, the smart decision and side note to this story to the one yard line. Just give it a pats fan of Barry happy, how that worked out the back of Butler inception, but run the ball, and you have. And you have. You know, the story about this. So I'm covering that Super Bowl, and I'm down in the bowels of the stadium. If that's what you wanna call it. And what we call the auxiliary pressroom. So the auxiliary pressroom in. Yeah. In Phoenix Phoenix stadium. So you have people media who's up in the booth and saw started into booth, but I worked my way downstairs to auxiliary because when you go to auxiliary, it's almost gametime meaning that it's almost time to go out there and get ready to get your interviews talk to the guys early on..
