Harnessing the Return of 2016 MAGA Energy

"Want to start with where we're at. Carrie Lake has won the Arizona primary for governor. Maga candidates across the country are winning their primaries. This Republican Party is a grassroots party, ready to fight, ready to govern, ready to improve people's lives, ready to put their citizens first, but the pressure is now going to be on. And as we warned early in the week, the midterm elections are all but a certain thing. Democrats are adjusting. Democrats are going to outspend us, they control the media. They control social media, they control our election system, and they are going to be willing to cut corners at every single turn to try to get their preferred candidates across the finish line. The generic ballot is tightening, the generic congressional vote, according to Rasmussen reports, Republicans only lead by three points. Whereas a couple months ago, Republicans led by 15 points. We're seeing one race in particular that we endorsed in Washington, Joe Kent is only down by 1.8 points with lots of ballots still to be counted. Again, Kerry Lake Blake masters, all one in Arizona. However, as we look towards the midterms, Republicans only have a .1 lead if you average all of the generic ballot polls, a .1 point lead barely taking back the House of Representatives. Barely. And the U.S. Senate is a complete coin toss. It shouldn't be that way with inflation open borders, CRT woke as an anti americanism, war on American energy, it should be a complete blowout. Now some of these polls might be suppression polls and misrepresentations. You can usually add 5 or 6 to all these polls that's usually a good rule of thumb. But make no mistake. Democrats, they know they're going to lose, but their strategy right now is a very smart one. That's right. I'm saying the Democrats are using a smart strategy. They're basically saying we want to lose less. They know that midterms can be very hard. Joe Biden is deeply unpopular and Republicans will be outspent. At every corner. Now

"Put them together in one big package and give it the attractive name of the inflation reduction act. This bill will reduce inflationary pressures on the economy. In the end, it all came down to getting West Virginia senator Joe Manchin to sign on. This is fighting inflation. This is all about the absolute horrible position that people are in now because of the inflation cost. In senator Manchin's Republican colleagues like pat toomey of Pennsylvania can't believe he went along. It's a very significant corporate tax increase, mostly focused on manufacturers, which is a bad idea. It's combined with price controls on prescription drugs. I've been asking myself, what does Joe Manchin get out of this? But thus far, economists like Larry summers think the inflation reduction act may be just what the doctor ordered. I was glad

"Who's ready to get audited? I'm gonna get blunt to the point. Straight into the point and be blunt. It's likely you are going to be audited sometime soon. Senator Kristen sinema has decided to join Joe Manchin in what they call the inflation reduction act, which is anything but the inflation reduction act, but Democrats are getting even sneakier in how they are branding what actually increases inflation to hurt inflation, but they're doing it for marketing purposes. The inflation reduction act of 2022 appears to have a good shot of being signed into law. One of the things it does is it expands the internal revenue services, power, authority, and expands their staff. The inflation reduction act hires 80 7 thousand new IRS agents. 80 7 thousand new IRS agents. Currently, there's about 600,000 audits that are done every single year. 600,000 audits. The IRS says they'll now be able to perform 1.2 million audits in the next couple of years, doubling the amount of annual audits that are done. Doubling.

"Joe Biden went on in that White House zoom. I mean, I hope the guy recovers quickly. He looks awful. He's in week two of COVID. Cut number two. Let me be clear. Despite what some folks are saying. The inflation reduction act makes sure that no one earning less than $400,000 a year will pay a penny more in federal taxes, notwithstanding all these ads you can't television. But don't take my word for it. Nearly 130 economists, 7 Nobel laureates and economics, former former treasury secretaries, the Federal Reserve vice chair, former director of the congressional budget office. Wrote that this bill will quote fight inflation of lower cost for American families while setting the stage for strong, stable, and broadly shared long-term economic growth. This is absurd, and by the way, remember all those same economists said, we wouldn't have anything. We wouldn't have inflation that it would be transitory than it wouldn't be so long and it would depend upon supply chain.

Live from NPR news, I'm Giles Snyder, the Senate could take a final vote on the inflation reduction act later today, senators have been working around the clock after vice president Kamala Harris broke a tie last night to begin debate. The bill is a scaled down version of a proposal that addresses President Biden's domestic priorities, and it wasn't that long ago that it looked like it was going nowhere. And pierce Franco or done. It was only a few weeks ago that Biden was conceding defeat on the proposal and talking about possibly declaring a climate emergency. Glenn Kirschner Breaks Down the Data on Trump's Impending Indictment

"Obviously the hubris in this reporting, the Trump is, oh, I'm not concerned witch hunt. It'll be fine. But I mean, this is obviously we know from the two pat subpoenas this week that this has reached into the Oval Office, and obviously there is reporting that Trump's attorneys are counseling him that he may be indicted. So what do you take from all of this? From the latest recording. Three, really important data points, staff one. We saw the Rolling Stone reporting that Donald Trump's legal team is preparing for him to be indicted and this is what I love. This is why Donald Trump's legal team is like the worst legal team imaginable. Except for Alex Jones. Yeah, the good point. They're saying, we are preparing a defense that will be putting it on quote the fall guys. What did we see a couple of days later in last night's CNN reporting? Donald Trump has been counseled to cut off all contact with and not talk to Mark Meadows. The only reasonable inference we can draw from that is Meadows is flipping, right? Maybe he has flipped, maybe he hasn't flipped. That's what you counsel somebody when it comes to, you know, one of your buddies who is now cooperating with the feds do not talk to him anymore. And then the third data point is the pat cipollone subpoena to the grand jury and Steph all testimony is not created equal. Because the J 6 testimony that pat cipollone gave, we all saw it. Some of it on videotape, he wouldn't answer the big questions. He wouldn't talk about what Donald Trump said or did. He wouldn't talk about Trump's crimes. He gets away with that in the January 6th committee because they don't have a way to compel him. They can't test that privilege once he asserts it. When we get witnesses in the grand jury, we can test that privilege. We can overcome it in real time because when pat cipollone and the grand jury says executive privilege, I've done this a hundred times, not with executive privilege, but with attorney client privilege. Fifth Amendment privilege against self incrimination, spousal privilege. Doctor patient privilege, et cetera we walk over to chief judge barrel howells, chambers, the chief judge of the D.C. federal district court who has supervisory authority over the grand jury, and we litigate it in real time, and she rules, I predict, Joe Biden has an invoked the privilege, so you lose because Donald Trump doesn't get to invoke it. And there's a crime fraud exception. So belt and suspenders, you lose twice. Now, pat cipollone, go back in there and testify

Why Americans Are Angry at the White House

"If anyone ever wanted to attack America the attack will happen now. We are the most divided that we've been in a very long time. Economically, people are struggling. The morale in our country is at an all time low. All you can do is look at how people view the effectiveness of this current administration and it's historically low. Most people don't believe that Joe Biden is doing the right thing. Most people don't believe that this current administration is actively participating in the best interest of Americans. And then you throw in conflict overseas. Our government is trying to pass a bill through the house, forced this bill of over 700 $700 billion worth of spending. Many economists and people that I've read are saying that this is not a positive thing for America to then push an agenda that raises taxes, which is going to hurt all working class people.

The Moronic (and Oxymoronic) 'Inflation Reduction Act'

"I want to address the gobbledy gook that runs through the so called inflation reduction act. This is kind of a scam that Congress does and Democrats in particular do they assign these sort of names or inflation reduction act. The idea here is to give you a goal that they have, even though their actions have nothing to do with the goal. And in fact, far from advancing the goal, subvert the goal. But the underlying premise appears to be the American people are really dumb. The media are on our side and they will continue to trumpet whatever we say however preposterous. We can count on Time Magazine. We can count on The New York Times, these people are not really independent assessors of anything. They're not even honest arbiters words. So let's look at this inflation reduction act to $433 billion. A lot of it going to various kind of climate provisions and. It's government spending. And its government spending that is going to, it would seem by using normal logic, advance, inflation, because this is not a time, in fact, Joe Manchin, who is the man who's making this possible, has even said before that when you have inflation galloping ahead, it's not exactly time to do a big spending bill. But here's Manchin who has admittedly tamed this bill he has brought it down. But this is how Manchin is. He maintains a moderate reputation by saying things like, I'm going to stand up against the Democrats. And he does slow them down. And he doesn't moderate their objectives. But then he gives them.

WHY Biden Is Performing Worse Than Any President in Modern History

"Fascinating. He is doing so poorly. And the reason I suspect is because, look, people didn't sign up for this. They thought, okay, we'll get rid of the drama, right? A lot of independence. A lot of independents felt very strongly that they just want to know more drama in The White House and thus they voted for Joe Biden without real thought in terms of what would it mean for our policy? And whether or not he really had the leadership chops to be able to accomplish what needs to be done there in the Oval Office, so I don't think that people were entirely aware in some ways of what they might be getting, but they thought, hey, you know how bad going to be, right? Because we had been doing pretty well economically, actually we were doing the best that we ever had. We were seeing a peaceful situation as well on the international front. And while we had challenges, which have continued to be augmented, certainly at the border, we kind of were on cruise control in a way. And now the cruise control is over, and they're saying, wait, what's different? How did this happen? This was supposed to be the guy that wasn't offensive to anybody, but certainly wasn't going to really screw things up. And I think there's an opinion out there in America, certainly judging by these poll numbers that he really did screw things up, and so consequently, there's no faith. And he didn't have the base to begin with, right? He didn't have that sort of Uber aggressive base that say a Bernie Sanders might have had. The socialists want to take over the country. He didn't have that. So for the base, he's not left enough, and for those in the middle, he's out there in left field in a way that makes him feel rather disengaged from the day to today activity that needs to happen to run the country. And so I think there's a belief in a feeling that he's just not up to the job.

These Poll Numbers Are the Worst Yet for Biden and the Democrats

"Amazingly, and this is for Gallup, no president elected to his first term has ever had a lower 6 quarter average than Joe Biden. When Jimmy Carter, Donald Trump, their ratings, they were actually better. Only slightly better, but nonetheless better. So, wow. I mean, how did he screw this up so badly he had quite a honeymoon coming in, but it was very short lived, and that was in part because of the chaotic and tragic withdrawal from Afghanistan, and then of course because of border challenges. And then inflation, inflation at a 41 year high with no shines a signs of stopping and now we have a possible recession. I say possible because The White House is going to debate you on this one, but hey, I'm just I'm just going by the definition, the classic econ one O one definition two consecutive quarters of negative growth for the economy equals a recession, and thus all these things combined, I think, have people just sort of washing their hands of him, hence these tremendously low numbers. And the interesting thing is, it's going to matter for Democrats as we head into the fall.

Kansas Voters Decide 'No' on the Abortion Amendment... Or Do They?

"Talk about Kansas for a second here. This would be the only loss that I can pinpoint and maybe Washington third with Joe Kent. We're not sure the results there yet. We're keeping an eye on it. It doesn't look good for him. For a couple of reasons. But I want to say this Kansas thing is super confusing to me. So I'll be fully transparent. I did not know about the Kansas bout referendum until somebody emailed us about it yesterday. And I said, what are you talking about? It is so a couple of things. The media is carrying the results from the Kansas ballot referendum. As if Kansas does not want to outlaw abortion and they say they want to keep abortion legal. It's a massive loss. But the ballot, the way it was written itself was insanely confusing, wasn't it, Jack? I actually have the word feature if you want me to. So everybody just bear with us a second as Jack goes through this. This was on the ballot in Kansas, Jack go through it. All right, so here is the verbiage as it appeared on the ballots in Kansas. Regulation of abortions, the section 22. Because kansans value both women and children, the constitution of the state of Kansas does not require government funding of abortion and does not create or secure a right to abortion. To the extent permitted by the constitution of the United States, the people through their elected state representatives and state senators may pass laws regarding abortion, including but not limited to laws that account for circumstances of pregnancy, resulting from rape or incest or circumstances of necessity to save the life of the mother. Yes or no. What? See, I'm as pro life as it becomes. So wait, which way would we have voted then, Jack? So you're super pro life, I'm pro life. So you'd want to protect the right to life, but it's like a double negative. How did this ever get past a judge? I don't even know. So there is an explanatory statement. And it says, a vote for you, the value, a vote for the value them both amendment would affirm there is no Kansas constitutional right to abortion, a vote against the amendment would make no changes to the constitution of the state of Kansas. But the problem is which one is it then? It doesn't actually say that it just says yes or no. So it doesn't even necessarily say for or against in the explanatory state. Right.

The Inflation Reduction Plan Only Inflates Taxes

"The president scored a couple of wins, the chips act he's doing a dance, although that was bipartisan. And of course taking out zawahiri is a grand and good thing. And I give him credit for pulling the twigger, I give Nancy Pelosi, try to forgo into Taiwan, but we're still stuck with this reconciliation bill. I've explained it this way. We don't know where senator sinema is if they get her and the vice president and everybody on the floor. They can pass this nightmare, which is it's called the inflation reduction act, not about inflation, doesn't reduce anything, and it raises taxes and spending. And as Joe Manchin not acting, it's collapsing. First, what's the story on senator sinema? What do we know? Yeah, we don't know on that. She's been very quiet on it. As she's going through it and she'll make her decision when she makes her decision, but you are correct. They're calling this the inflation reduction act except the problem is when they actually scored it, it doesn't reduce inflation. They say it reduces deficits as well, except when they scored it, they said it doesn't reduce deficits either. What it does is it increase taxes during a recession in those taxes specifically hardest hit manufacturers in the United States. So while we have a supply chain issue, there are raising taxes on manufacturing and making it harder for them. It does hire thousands and thousands of new IRS agents to do audits. The focus of there's no focus on the audit. So it's small businesses. People in every income bracket that are out there that they're going after with new IRS agents, it does raise the cost of natural gas, which is going to raise the cost of energy. It does make it harder to be able to develop new drugs and my favorite piece of it. It literally takes quote unquote savings on the healthcare side from Medicare and takes it out of Medicare, which is already having problems financially and moves it over to the Affordable Care Act. So it literally takes money from the investment for 76 year olds and moves it over and gives subsidies to 26 year olds instead. So there's a lot of problems in this bill that it creates more issues than solves issues.

Richard Baris and Charlie Discuss the Radicalization of Gen X

"It seems that there's this interesting demographic phenomenon. I want to explore with you Richard, it's happening across the country, which is the radicalization of gen X, where you just articulated something that baby boomer 70 plus, they tend to be more establishment Republican or comfortable with Joe Biden. Now, we're going to get a slew of emails, by the way. Charlie, I'm 70 8 and I hate Joe Biden. Yesterday. No, I know. But I do think it's demographically interesting. We never talked about this before, rich, that gen X, so think about Josh hawley that is Ron DeSantis, right? That's Donald Trump Jr. that's Tom cotton, that's Ted Cruz. That's gen X. They're kind of right in that middle group. They're not necessarily super young. They're definitely not baby boomers. But gen xers are people that have kids that are anywhere between 5 years old to 18 years old. They're becoming super right wing in more ways than one. Not only that, but in primaries, they are demanding and they are voting for the more conservative candidate. Is that correct, rich? Yeah, and if you look, we did by generation, Charlie, by age, Arizona is a great state for that. So is Florida, so is Texas. So is Nevada, by the way. You know, the bottom line is because we've asked this before and I really think what it comes down to is and we got those emails as well. And I understand if you have a mom or you are that age group and you voted for Carrie Lake, I'm not saying there's not going to be supporters in that age group. I'm saying we're talking about margins, statistics, polling. But the bottom line is the older voters. Tend to have this idea, Charlie, that how could I put this? They tend to have like faith still in authority and they grew up in this more stable America. And they have this view where you would ask them, you know, how bad do things can get. And they would say, you know, it's America in the end, things are going to be okay. That's how they talk to us, right? Whereas the younger generation, the younger generation is like, look, I have to live the rest of my life. And this is 30 40 years we can't survive this.

"That said there wasn't anything to that. Unfortunately got on and got around the world before our investigators have the opportunity to bring in outside law enforcement. Also look at but then totally disproved. I talk about that in my book. It's out there. And some people choose to understand the truth and other people want to continue the big lie secretary. Wrappings burger good morning. It's willie geist. How many times in total either by machine or by hand has the vote been counted in the state of georgia for the two thousand twenty election three times so we had our first tabulation that you go through and then we did a one hundred percent hand recount which did two things approved that the machines not flip the boats but also there find the original cow and then after we had done those too then we went ahead and did another scanned ballots of all five million ballots which also verified the total count that we had which is at president trump. Lost the state of georgia about twelve thousand votes. So is there any doubt in your mind. Joe biden won the state of georgia. No there's no doubt in my mind that vice president biden carried the state of georgia. But people don't understand which. I put it in my book is that we had twenty eight thousand people that skip the presidential ballots. So what they said is. I'm not voting. For joe biden them up voting for donald trump. Not voting for joe jorgensen. They just left it blank but voted down ballot in the in the metropolitan areas of atlanta that we had produced senate approved got twenty thousand more votes twenty thousand more votes than trump. Donald trump did so. Those are the differences right there. So mister secretary talked about the danger of this kind of big lie being perpetuated still by donald trump sending you a letter just a few days ago asking you to look into these claims of fraud. We know about the infamous phone call. That was recorded that he made to you back in january. We asked you to quote find eleven thousand seven hundred eighty votes so that he could win the state of georgia. Can you be specific about what you think that danger is he has supported the pres- former president has supported a challenger to you and your race to keep your seat that challenges supports the big lie supports donald trump if someone who is not you if someone who is more open to these conspiracy claims and we're sitting in your chair what might happen because it's not just georgia states across the country where the president is supporting people who support the big lie. Well it really destabilizes. American democracy at the end of the day. We have to really have people that are going to stand in the line. Had the moral courage the just say this is how the results came out. And not waver not looked left not look right but look straight down. The line had that personal integrity we. We have to get back in america to really those old-fashioned values that our parents raised this small town value. Call it. but it's really the honest that you're gonna have character and you're going to do right thing and then i think we also have needed more civil discourse we can disagree on policies but we have to really come together and talk about those rinses. We have respectfully. I think we have to know the character counts. Integra counts always has always. Will you know it's fascinating. What you were saying about the under votes people decided not to vote for donald trump. I remember after the election. Donald said well. How could it be that. Republicans won all over the country. But i lost. Would you just described to our friends who are listening right. Now is exactly. What ron johnson was caught on tape. Admitting and wisconsin and he said i won by. I think he said sounds like one hundred fifty thousand votes and then he said if you add up all the republican state legislators they won by a margin of maybe it was fifty six thousand one hundred fifty success. They won by the same number of votes. If you look at people that were running. Statewide in wisconsin. They won by the same number of votes. Donald trump underperformed for every republican and so. His argument was caught on camera. If the democrats we're going to still elections they would've solan all of the elections..

"Coming up and the person who he needs to get that result is joe biden. So he's going to do everything. He can Interviews before the meeting and during the meeting to make sure that he's on the same team. Joe biden it seems to me caddy. A lot of people are drawing false. Equivalency between joe biden his relationship with our nato allies and and donald trump of course donald trump declaring war basically against theresa may mocking her ridiculing are doing the same thing with angle miracle Getting into a grip and grin challenge with a macron. Go down the list Knocking over. I don't know what the president of luxembourg or montenegro or somebody to get in front of the list goes on on the insults. The slides go on and on seems as we. Joe biden obviously did some things in afghanistan. Some of our allies didn't support and he's offended france and hopefully you can fix that but is it really any equivalence. Between what. Donald trump what his relationship was with our allies in nato and the missteps that joe biden has has had in these first nine months of his presidency. Real equivalence. no and a lot of that was about style. But i'm going to go with me. 'cause cum seacombe saw i mean here's a guy a president who spent decades on capitol hill. What was it twelve years in. The foreign relations committee was vice. President for eight years knows half of the world's leaders and the expectation had been pats disproportionately high amongst european allies. The joe biden would come into office and we have a total seachange in american not just an american language of donald trump just in the style of donald trump but perhaps in the policies themselves. And i think that's where some american allies in europe may have been overly optimistic a little naive paps. America's always gonna put us interest. I if it wants to get out of afghanistan is going to get out of afghanistan if it wants to do a deal with australians over nucleus utterance to to take a poker china and that annoys the french. It's going to do that. That's the way the superpowers work. That's the way that nations work. You're supposed to stand up your own self interest now could could. The is it being a little surprising. The degree to which the biden administration has had some collateral damage in of those actions simply by not informing allies by calling them beforehand by giving them a heads up by acting a little bit more diplomatically. I think that's what surprised allies. It is a very different mood. Joe biden going up to the united nations today to give. That speech is a quantifiably different mood for europeans. The when he went to cornwall in june. Not that long ago and said america is back the kind of backslapping the great happy to have you joe all of that. That's kinda gone..

"Senator joe manchin of west virginia's calling on his fellow democrats to take a pause before advancing a multi trillion dollar budget plan. Senator mansion has a new piece in the wall street journal titled why won't support spending another three point. five trillion. Senator mansion writes this quote instead of rushing to spend trillions of new government programs and additional stimulus funding. Congress should hit a strategic pause on the budget reconciliation legislation. We must allow for complete reporting and analysis of the implications a multi trillion dollar. Bill will have for this generation. In next i for one won't support a three point five trillion dollar bill or anywhere near that level of additional spending without greater clarity about why congress chooses to ignore the serious effects. Inflation and debt have on existing government programs. Senate budget committee chairman bernie. Sanders was quick to respond to senator mansions bed arguing. Both tracks of the infrastructure proposal must pass or neither will senator sanders tweeted this rebuilding our crumbling. Physical infrastructure roads bridges water systems is important rebuilding our crumbling human infrastructure healthcare education climate change is more important no infrastructure bill without the three point five trillion dollar reconciliation bill so vendor with a fifty fifty split in the senate. There's no wiggle room whatsoever for democrats here. What gives will there obviously in the short term in quite a pickle. We can't square the two sides mansion in sanders on this. I think when you talk to democrats behind the scenes a trillion dollars for hearted structure is the floor. I think everyone believes the end of the day. They're going to get at least that mansion is not saying he won't support a lot more than that if you read that he's basically saying wanna pause in any more explanation before i go anywhere near the three point five clearly. He's saying there's something between one point five that he could live and he's using his leverage. Probably like you should have your senator to maximize his hand. Maximize his power and shaping that final facts. I think there'll be a lot of twists and turns. Obviously democrats would rather get this done quickly in heavy unified party around it. That was never going to happen. Mentioned signal early on what he was going to do. But i wouldn't like overreact to this. It's part of the process. And i think at the end of the day. You're still going to see democrats getting a bill on infrastructure and probably some of these other topics it's bigger than almost any bill in the history of the country. There's a lot of spending going on. He's not wrong on that. And people reflecting on the cost of the upside downside of spending is probably not on advised in. Ill advised so. I do think up. Before the end of the year you will see it. Infrastructure bill probably something above that it fits between one and three point five trillion dollars that bernie. Sanders wants to victoria. Obviously joe manchin has frustrated progressives as we heard in that statement from bernie sanders senator. Sanders was not alone in his criticism. Yesterday of joe manchin. But where is the give here as jim says the probably be something huge numbers we're talking about by the way up in the trillions again where to joe mansion and bernie sanders find that common ground to push this through right and send her mansion is doing exactly what he's supposed to be doing as swing vote in the senate one thing that he said in that op. Ed though willie was a little bit frustrating for me worries that if i can't explain it i can't vote or in policy can be extremely complex but when it comes to infrastructure whether it's physical infrastructure bridges roads or human infrastructure childcare provision paid. Leave that to me is probably one of the most straightforward policies that people get in they connect to drive on roads every day. We take our kids today daycare. So i think that one is not necessarily the. The argument. city's gonna win. Does he want to be a little bit more conservative. Fiscally okay but people get it and they know that this is going to affect their lives people putting their markers down before the senate comes back in session. Those fifty democrats will have to get together to figure out how to push through these trillions of dollars worth of legislation meanwhile congresswoman liz. Cheney is back in leadership in the house of representatives just in a very different role the wyoming republican will serve as vice chair of the house select committee investigating the january six attack on the capital the same day congresswoman. Cheney was named to that position members of her own party launched another attack against her house. Freedom caucus chair congressman. Andy biggs and sixteen other members of the republican party. Formerly requested minority leader. Kevin mccarthy changed the rules so republicans can remove. Cheney and congressman. Adam zinger who also is a member of the committee from the republican conference throw them out of the caucus in a letter group specifies. Its opposition is quote not because of a policy or political difference. The hard right. Republicans argue quote accepting committee assignments from speaker pelosi and ignoring the longstanding practice and rule of being nominated by designated. Gop members is a betrayal to our party's efforts against pelosi and the far lefts attacks. So this is nothing new. Susan dell persio that we haven't seen from this group of republicans who wants no reflection within his own party about what happened on january sixth. That's exactly right and i. It's almost comical to see these sixteen because they are a bunch of clowns in a lot of regard. Say just say things to get attention. They're not serious. Legislators and the fact is is at liz. Cheney is not going to be just the face of nancy pelosi. she's taking this very seriously as his adam kinser and i believe that we're going to see things that may surprise or even upset some democrats on on cheney's line of questioning potentially but this is a bigger problem for mccarthy since he wants to take back the house in twenty twenty two. You can't start getting rid of good conservative members and then not looked so extreme when you want to win back some swing seats in in the two thousand twenty two elections. So i mean. Let's just put a fine point on this. Liz cheney and adam kuenz and your god forbid wanna take a look at what led up to january six and what happened on that day. Republicans want to. Now throw them out of the party. This group of republicans. Anyway throw them out of the party because of that the republicans are going to up with three issues on the table. With when you're starting with its party of morrissey in the last few weeks here the three flags. Republicans have risen one. We don't want to look into insurrection against us government. We don't wanna do any investigating as to what happened with one of the saddest days. Most frightened days to democracy. America issue number one number two. We don't have to make. Children wear masks in school to keep them safe when we were against that. We don't want children to be a safe as they possibly can. That's an impingement on freedom yet at the same time. We don't want to give women the freedom six weeks after they get raped by their uncle to get an abortion. This is the party of lunacy and pure political point of view. As i said earlier you know just setting themselves up to go against history which would allow the opposition party to win the midterms and allow the democrats keep control so from a human point of view in a political point of view. Which the party of louis. Point jim ben. Hi liz cheney and adam kinser both kind of been on an island here for the last..

Vaccines these are pockets of the country. That have always existed but when you have politicians that embrace that rhetoric it just gives license and helps that that section of the country grow because they are hearing people in leadership who they are looking up to and who they believe have authority endorse their views of the world so whether that is about january six and what happened there whether that is about vaccines whether that is about wearing a mask de sections of society are getting an okay a an endorsement of their view from people whose voices are amplified over a range of platforms and what we live in today in our country is exactly that it is those groups being fed by politicians in believing more in their own unfortunate misguided notions of what is actually going on in the country in what in what needs to be done to get us to a better place. "Do we stop young americans from being discouraged. How do we give a perspective. About how bad things were how far we've come. That changes that people. Like bob moses made and how we build upon those changes you know. It's a very difficult question. Joe i can only imagine what bob felt. On his deathbed as he witnessed the country grappling with the question of voted as he saw the ugliness of trump is and the ascendant of of white supremacy after risking his life to try to transform the country. There's a sense in which is almost there these moments where you get the boulder almost up the hill which makes it feel like progress and then it seems that you have to start all over again and so part of what i wrote. Begin about why wrote begin again. How do we muster the energy to push the boulder up the hill again and it has something to do not only would just simply how far we've come because of course. My situation isn't the same as my father. Which isn't the same of his great grandfather's there's been progress. But what do we do with the ugliness of now. How do we respond to it. And you know. Joe i would say this to you as my good friend how you speak to the america that we want to bring into being. How do we not forget from whence we've come and how do we speak to the ugliness of now from your perspective and that that's the key it's not just in our hands just in my hands. It's in our hands. It's in our hands. And i'll tell you the way we do it as we speak about it. We talk about it like you. And i have been doing five years and we speak the truth and this is what drives me crazy and i know we have to go to break and i apologize. Alex this is what drives me crazy when i start hearing people talk about critical race theory. And it'd be really honest with you. I just zone out now because it seems on both sides. People are like there shoveling. If they're against it. All the garbage can shovel in and they call it critical race theory and then on the other side. It seems that people shovel and we're talking about definitions. This is really pretty. Damn simple really is it really. Is you have people on both sides. That are saying this is a true. This is only the truth. America is racist. america is irredeemable. america is doomed. That's on one side. And then on the other side you have people talking about seventeen seventy six and we are. There's american exceptionalism and we're the greatest country ever and the freest country ever and we have made extraordinary progress and blah blah on gene robinson. Pay on this show. It seems every day now. Because you know we're such mindful people to things can be true at one time. Sixteen nineteen cam exists with seventeen seventy six and an exceptional american country. And i believe in. American exceptionalism we fed and we freed more people than any country in the history of this planet. I can take pride in that and yet understand. The words of seventeen seventy six really didn't even begin to be realised until nineteen sixty four nineteen sixty five until after i was born. That's when we first started on this path that we're on right now but those truths vacant exist together and we can work together and try to make this country a better place still but they all do exist drove sixteen nineteen happened. Seventeen seventy six happen. Nineteen sixty four. Sixty five happened. Just teach american. It's free just teach the history and guess what guess what it's complicated and it's scratchy and it's not all it's not all beautiful and it's not all ugly it's it's sometimes really messy but it it happened. It's true. just teach that and that's that's where we need. That's warren he to to start and what we need to do. A stop denying that history. Any part of that history. It all happened. It's all true and it all makes us who we are what we are now And provides you know we need to know that in order to get to a better place is a complicated legacy. We've had complicated leaders. We are all complicated. People but eddie allowed. Let's skip behind that rock and start pushing it up the hill again buddy. The together together. Okay all right eddie on. It's an incredible book. How i went to arkansas eulogy for a young seventeen year. White young man onto britain of britain. Who was killed by law enforcement and whose family is supporting the george floyd bill. I'm gonna talk at length about how we got to go outside about comfort zones to do what we need to do in this country. All right reverend al. Thank you so much. Greatly appreciated jonathan. Lemere let's go you at the white house and just talk about these two bills. We've we've all heard. Hr one is has been dismissed by by many moderates as just unworkable democrats. That wasn't going to pass. Joe manchin is negotiating with progressives try and leadership trying to to figure out how to get some votes on that one but even hr four having trouble getting to the threshold that it needs to pass. What is the latest on. Those two voting rights bills. And what does the white house believe. Their best chance is their best chances to actually pass legislation to push back on some of these more restrictive state laws joe and as we report this morning associated. Press and i've talked a lot of aids in recent days. There's real growing pessimism about getting any legislative solution don on the federal level here. They're not certainly not abandoning. Hope and i do think. Hr four seems to have a better shot nature one. It's a little a little more focused though. It's a little less sweeping there's a sense there. They can get some more moderate support but it is going to be a real uphill climb. Republicans seem steadfastly opposed to both. They're still real questions. Aides also strucks painted yesterday's media civil rights leader in a positive fashion but their focuses more than just the legislation. There really playing up the idea. There's going to be legal. Challenge department of justice is wayne here. They're urging democrats to sort of combat these efforts to restrict voting access by registering more voters. Making sure that things are are working on the voter rolls they can. In fact turn out and vote. Next year point success they had last year during a pandemic in getting people out but they recognize. Of course that's a harder challenge in a midterm election when it's not a presidential year and we finally are going to be hearing for president by did appears on this subject white house. Aides have been teasing for weeks now that he would deliver some sort of major address on the subject. That you've really used the bully. Pulpit advocates have asked. It looks like that could happen as early as next week. Perhaps as soon as tuesday. We'll finally hear from them at great length about the need to protect the belt. All right jonathan. Thank you so much coming from either. Going to get to fifty votes and joe mansion and cureton cinema are going to make an exception for voting rights. The same way that mitch mcconnell and before him harry reid made exceptions for judges or they're not going to pass this legislation and so it's good to have these meetings it's good to talk the aspirational about passing certain pieces of legislation but at some point the rubber meets the road. And you've got to actually add. Add the votes up to fifty and whatever it takes to do that. That's what they need to do. It's just not happening right now. It's also not an option to do nothing. It's not at this point right. So so they they have to figure out how to how to get to fifty and and and get make an exception of filibuster exception for voting rights the same way that republicans and democrats through the years of made an exception for federal judges. That doesn't seem like that much of a reach but we'll see if they get their coming up. Our next guest recently sat down with ohio. Senate.

"Dominick pizzonia uses up niece shield. He stole takashi in a window two thirteen pm. The capital is breached. All right joining us. Now we have what house reporter for. The associated press johnson lemere also with us pulitzer prize winning columnist and associate editor of the washington post and msnbc political analyst. Eugene robinson. it's been six months now. Obviously jonathan lemere the white house. Joe biden obviously trying to move forward obviously trying to get legislation passed but stubbornly a lot of the conspiracy theories that were born out of that riot and that insurrection. Stay with us. And unfortunately the president has to deal with the republicans every day that are in united states. Congress who still believe that these were just quote tourists we. We've we've heard that from extremists in the senate extremists in the house. And there's very little pushback from leadership joe. These images are both hard to watch and essential to watch to truly understand what happened that day. And there's certainly has been such a consistent effort from many not all but many republicans to whitewash. What happened that day to turn the page with nor to downplay and of course you see this footage and that becomes impossible. It's so important to the times. Did last week putting this out and that we're showing it again this morning. Just just really it just a physical reaction to it. Your point is well made joe in terms of the balancing act. The white house has to take here we they of course we know that joe president biden campaigned on it. He's governed on. It really does want to work across the aisle he wants to deal with republicans he has he still believer in the institution of of of the us. Congress particularly the senate. He still a believer. That america needs to come together needs to show that democracy can work. That's sort of one of the through lines of his administration easy. He's proved that america. Republicans and democrats can can work together and take care of the american people as it tries to compete. This nation competes with rising autocracies across the globe. New zealand show that democracy can still work in light of what happened on january sixth. We see the biparti infrastructure. He'll seeming like it's come together but at the same time there needs to be a focus in the white house has pushed this condemning. What happened. They supported but would have been the january six by parson commission. Republican senate scuttle. They support the select committee. That house speaker pelosi is putting together. We still don't know which republicans will be on that and they recognize how damaging. What a dark day. This was for this nation's democracy and they don't want lose sight of it as much as they still do want to work with the republicans and some of the republicans have have been willing to accept that olive branch but yes they also are dealing with leadership and a number of the rank and file. Who don't want to come to grips with that day. Who are still perpetuating the big election lie. Donald trump's being election that fueled that day so that is something that is a defining moment that will cover shadow this administration the by administration throughout its term in office. How do you do both how you work with republicans when so many of them don't even believe you should be president and that's it right there and here's another sign that this will become this stain on our history will be part of the election election process. Many republicans across the country are preparing for the upcoming midterm elections by focusing on the last election the lie the washington post reports that hundreds of gop candidates are endorsing as central messaging for their campaigns. That former president trump really won the presidential election reading from the post quote of the nearly seven hundred republicans who have filed initial paperwork with the federal election commission to run next year for either the us senate or the house of representatives and at least a third have embraced. Trump's false claims about his defeat of those republicans more than one hundred and thirty are sitting lawmakers who voted not to certify president. Biden's election win on january six elected officials who spoke out against the conspiracy theory like wyoming congresswoman. Liz cheney and georgia secretary of state brad. Reference burger have become key targets. For challengers they are. They're using the big lie joe. They're they're not just believing that big lie and forcing or imposing that lie on many of their constituents or potential constituents. They're using it as as a way to win the election. I doubt any of them are stupid enough to believe the big lie but they certainly are using it. And it's a conspiracy theory that's borne out of the belief that if my candidate doesn't win then i don't recognize again that's not democracy. That's what we see in tyrannical governments. That's what we see across the globe in illiberal not even democracies but gene robinson that we have now according to this report one out of three republicans who are seeking office so for our post democracy candidates who are illiberal sue will not recognize the last selection because they don't like who won that last election here we are and we have members of congress who refused to come out and say that joe biden president of the united states that he won legitimately and we have of course talk show hosts on the trump right. Who do the same thing. But this is an anti democracy movement and we're now seeing that actually people are running for office hoping they'll get elected by running against free elections by running against democracy right and these anti-democracy democracy candidates believe they're speaking to anti-democracy constituents they believe. That's what their party's base wants and it and it raises the question. So how how do you do politics as we know it. How do you do elections. We know them when one of our two major parties is is believed totally believes the big lie. And it's not just cynical leadership and cynical elected officials but there is a ready and willing audience and base for the lie..

"Sort through this. We all saw on thursday. When joe biden led that bipartisan group outside the west wing there yukking it up. he's rubbing republican shoulders. Rob portman and everything else. We've got a deal. And then all of a sudden he says well actually not gonna sign that. Unless i get this other piece that my democratic friends want so. Where does that leave us. Is he committed to these two bills being linked and if so how does he expect to get either through. I think it's just a reflection of the reality right. As much as joe biden wants to have a deal here he wants to work. With republicans. There are factions of the democratic party. As you all have been discussing about several minutes that also have a vote here. And it's just the point that the majorities are so slim but i think if you take a step back yes. The progressives are pushing biden and the their leaders to find any way forward on this softer human infrastructure package but their hair is not on fire. You don't see caught up with alexander positive portas yesterday. You don't see her saying you know she's about to light on fire and that they're not gonna vote for anything they're actually continuing this process and i think that's what's important for people to take a step back and say okay. This this bipartisan deal is going forward. The liberals and the progressives are going to try to press their case as much as possible to say at the same time. They want to do a dual track. And i think you're gonna see that language change from linking it to a dual track process and if democrats are able to do that it will be much more successful. And willie i want to underline again what ana said especially not only when she was on this show. But would people stick microphones interface waiting for her to somehow declare war against this legislation or this process. Just doesn't do it. She shows patients bernie sanders. Went out and again. I completely respect a politician going out and doing what he was elected to do. Stake his claim of very progressive position that again. I don't think we'll ever get past. But he needs to stake that claim where the entire debate will be framed around people who don't think like he and his constituents thing but i do think that that again. The disconnect here has been the fact that the progressives have been patient over the past four or five months. They have been quiet. They haven't been saying they were blowing up the process in a way that like for instance my colleagues did when i first got into congress and we wanted to basically eliminate every program and eliminate you know every every cabinet agency. So they've shown that patients. And i guess that's why i don't understand the disconnect between the actual leaders of the party. These aren't backbenchers. These are leaders of the party and again house speaker. Nancy pelosi and majority leader. Chuck schumer half to know if they're demanding linkage between these two bills then there will be no bill passed. Maybe that's what they want. Maybe they just want to roll it all up into one reconciliation bill but if they do that and if they kill this bill they won't get joe mansions vote. So that's why. I just don't understand why they don't take yes for an answer. Give biden the win. Give congress a win. Give america the win. As you say nancy pelosi and chuck schumer have been around long enough to know exactly where this is headed if they insist on them being linked and joe manchin and said no. I'm not going along with that bill unless we can settle on. This bipartisan package. But mika he also said but you we've got to work on that the democratic package i. There's a lot of stuff in there that i don't like the curson cinema doesn't like so he's not a lock for that even but the the president has been managing republicans for the most part after he came out and said i'm going to not sign that bill. Then he had to put out the statement. He spent the weekend calling behind the scenes mitt. Romney said yesterday the waters have been calmed. Rob portman says. I think we're in a good place. Bill cassidy said this is a good deal. They want this bipartisan bill. But as joe says the linkage to the other piece of legislation is the problem. Right and by the way really. I'm just curious. You talked about the rob portman background my by well. Maybe i overstated it was just you know what that reminded me of. George w george w given that back rub to angela going up really sharp portland's like shoulders deep tissue massage to german chancellor knows more of a quick pat on the shoulder like mission accomplished you it done. He probably appreciate that more than okay. Still ahead on morning. Joe house speaker. Nancy pelosi introduced a bill to establish a january sixth commission. Will we see her. That this is about for the soul of American. Americans are good in virtuous people. We have to work together to confront bigotry and prejudice wherever they appear. But will make no progress and he'll know wounds by falsely labeling tens of millions of decent Americans as racist or bigots. We have to get everybody together. We have to be in the. Same Path I. Yeah, that Yashar, burning your mask I mean. Is this fake macho? Pius that they're trying to pull off, but here's the deal. Donald Trump. The more words of Ross Perot when the rubber meets the road when it has to do with the bottom line when it has to do with Donald Trump's money, suddenly, he believes. In Science I've seen the light. I've seen the life. Praise the Lord I've seen the Lai Oh the message on the campaign website for reelect Donald Trump. Commander in chief without a mass. Says this. They add bon Jovi coming in. They had bieber coming in. They had poison coming in on the twenty third for Heaven Sakes those have all been postponed. Why because of Corona virus because they don't want? People packed into their arena now week from today next Friday the president is planning this rally. He's not going to cancel. The rally given everything swirling around it even given the corona virus, so instead of cancelling as you just read. They put a disclaimer at the bottom of their website. That said if you walk through those doors. Signing away any right to sue us to sue the arena to sue anybody else if you come down with corona virus from being inside a packed arena extraordinary. I mean. Seriously the hypocrisy there they do this fake macho thing which I by the way I never realized so like denying science was like Macho, but they do this fake macho thing denying medicine you know. And then when push comes to shove y'all shooting, you look funny. You're man asks. I'll share finey donald trump trying to be macho by being the only person wearing a mask where everybody else's weren't a mask while they're desperately trying. To get enough swab, so we can get our testing. They have to destroy it, but when push comes to shove when the rubber meets the road when it has to do with Donald Trump's money. He's in. Hey, you know coming to my rally could kill you, and if you come to my rally I'm not responsible. Sign right here. Not My problem. If you if you pay attention to me. And and do is I say and do. Of course you don't have the secret service around you all the time. You're not being tested rarely for Kobe. Having the people around you tested for Covid. Nineteen So you're not in the public. I'm in. So I'm not particularly worried but all you all you. You know my loyal base, my great American people. Just might die if you come to my rallies and so Don't sue me. You couldn't make this up. You could not make the stuff you really could. You really can't make it up. I, thought it joke when I tell you. It's poison Mr Go. SAYS UNBELIEVABLE America great again. Try Not to die while you're doing it. Hashtag make America great again, but you might die, and does not. We're not responsible. Okay for more years all right. you mentioned the article that talks about trumping severely out of step at the country, as Paul McCartney sang in rock show like a relic from a different age really. An effort to remove the names of confederate leaders from us. Military bases is gaining support from lawmakers on both sides of the aisle despite president trump voicing opposition to the move, the Republican controlled Senate Armed Services Committee has adopted an amendment proposed by Senator Elizabeth Warren that requires the Department of Defense Rename military bases named after confederate generals president trump criticized the measure yesterday. Yesterday, tweeting of course about Elizabeth Warren calling her pocahontas, saying she just introduced an amendment on renaming of many of our legendary military bases from which we train to win. "Both groups had fantastic songs. We were fans of there's their fans vars. mckearney could not be nicer about the Song God only knows, or the pet sounds album. Nothing, but nice things about it and I mean who doesn't like sergeant peppers and you know in. Their earlier songs as well. It's amazing what you guys all pulled off in the nineteen sixties, and beyond I love that you're still performing. I love this song. It sounds exactly like you have always sounded. which is a great thing? One last question is Geek if you don't mind Mike. Almost every song, I can't think of a song right now. That was done in a minor key. Did you guys purposely do everything in major keys? Because a major key makes, you feel happy, a minor key, not as much the reminders in there, but generally speaking I just get the feeling. They were all major key songs. Well. You know it also had to do with what what if it's a good tar based song, or if it's a piano based song. And there's different court progressions as you know, and so there are some nine of course in there obviously but. But you're right. There's some songs that that the sound just more positive and upbeat. If they're in a major key that that can be true, it depends on the song and you guys did an amazing job because you bring joy and happiness, because the musicianship was so good, and then you guys were so good at it that you can have fun and bring us it as you're performing it i. just love everything you guys did I really can't say enough. I could talk to you for three hours I. Appreciate You. Thank. You, Joe. This is great having. That, you're having me on the program and thank you for letting. People know about this, too. "Well maybe he's in listening to the JOE PAGS show. That's now he he's got the he's got the information from you is onto something. Yeah listen I think I think anyone who watches? The wave of media has handled this president from day one of him announcing that he was running in June of Twenty fifteen cannot say that they have treated him fairly they have gone out of their way every single step of the way to try and hurt him to try and make sure that they take things out of context to try and make him look bad to trip him up anything that they could do to go against him. They have done yet. To your point he comes out for hours on end to answer every single question that they throw at him because he is probably the most transparent president we have ever had. You might not like his twitter Joe but guess what you know. Everything is president of thinking he puts it all out there Look I like when he just when he leaves them up there because that's what they deserve. They don't deserve his time most of the time. I think that these people are so vicious and they attack him at every turn. They don't deserve to have the president of the United States. Stand up there and take all of their questions when all of their questions are meant to destroy have good for him for getting up and leaving And I think most people can see that I think you are. You know an average person out there and you see the hostile media and the way they attack him Nobody can can fault the president for a forgetting up and leaving a you know whenever they they have gone out of their way every single turn to side with the Democrats to work against him and unfortunately it's been to the detriment of America. These people would rather see the president fail than the America succeed and unfortunately for them. That's never going to happen. This president is working every single day for the American people fighting for US fighting to get job back fighting to get things up and running again in our economy. We will get through this. We'll get to the other side of coronavirus. He has done an incredible job. You know what this is the only president that can do again what he had already done in the first three years in office bring all those jobs back get people back to work get the economy back up and running and I think people will remember that as we towards November one last quick question. Laura Trump senior campaign adviser trump twenty twenty the daughter of the president and and a mother of two young kids at you gotta go see picture on Instagram. The other day it was just classic. It was only one last question. Do you do you see after corona virus subsides and. Hopefully it'll happen sooner than later these rallies come back. Is that something that you're putting on the back burner now? Maybe we could do those rallies again before November. We really have no idea what this virus is going to do. Are you guys ready to gear up and go if you can do those again? Oh absolutely if they said tomorrow you can hold a trump rally. We're ready to go. I think we're really hopeful as we head toward the fall and towards when we really get into full campaign season that were able to get back out there and have these rallies. The president absolutely loves doing them. The people of this country love attending them. And Look we've never had a president like this. We probably never will again. So let's keep our fingers crossed were able to do these rallies is not you know what we have great digital platform. Everything could be virtual. And we're prepared for anything so We'll have to see what happens. I appreciate Laura trump coming on always giving us time in access into access to the actual trump twenty twenty campaign. It's interesting as they watch. What's unfolding with Joe Biden? The people of this great land need to step up and say I have to vote for people who think the my freedoms and liberties and the constitution means something. So it's about voting. You've got to vote. The idiots out you guys in in Colorado same thing in Michigan same thing in in California you have to now be heard. There's so much voter. Every day I mean by the end of this month is going to be over one hundred thousand and at least he needs to people know that it's not right because a lot of people still think that because it's going up so much that is this is really because of the virus rather than because people because some of these states can just do whatever they want to do if they want to put it as as Kobe if they had it but they didn't die from it would if they think they had it they don't even know where they had it or not. They can still do it. So something's gotTa be done. Are People going to still be scared? They're not GONNA want to go out. That's the that's the objective to keep us scared. I appreciate you Gloria. It's a good point. I don't think he wants to step on their toes right now but at some point somebody does have to authority has to step up and say what I'm saying. And we'll bring you that conversation as well as we continue on the weekend. Let me go to Pat. Who's in Kansas Pat. What's on your mind? Hi Hey Joe. I'm in Wichita. Kansas air capital of the world. And I have a comment on credit but wanted to say My my grandfather. And my father and the entire from Boeing. I'm a mechanical engineer The Aerosol Jackson. It really is a thing To discount somebody and just call it. Conspiracy theorists is kind of You Know Single Dimension. We should really be open to all points about. I'M GONNA I'm GonNa stop you there because I want to comment on that. Let let me say this. I do three hour radio show six days a week. I plan what I'm going to talk about and talking about Corona virus and I'm talking about how we're locked down and we shouldn't be and I've got a guy calling in from Alaska to tell me about heavy metals and aerosols and all sorts of other chem trails and crap that's being dropped on his head in Alaska as I said to him and I'll say to you I don't know anything about it. You sound like a conspiracy theorist because he does. I'm I'm just a regular guy that plays out of show. I'm pretty smarter this stuff I talk about. If I don't know something about something I'll make that clear upfront. I don't know anything about aerosols and heavy metals dropping out of planes so for you to take the states that it was one dimensional. And you weren't giving them a chance and you did. This isn't an open line a chauffeur for the weekend. It isn't hey calling on whatever you WanNa talk about. And if I don't know anything about I'll just let you talk for fifteen minutes. It doesn't work that way. That would be really bad radio. Don't you agree but it also translates into what's going on right now. He didn't he didn't make the connection corona virus whatsoever. It's not a direct connection but it's aluminum bromide and there's to fuel. How my God are you serious right now? You want to talk about corona virus. And we're not going to do this. This is tangent. I don't know anything about it. I admitted I'm dumb. When it comes to what you're talking about let's go and so the coronavirus if push for control fast I agree and then so at what point my question about crony viruses. At what point will we allow the government to go door to door just just like it was years ago? Taking guns. It's GonNa it's GonNa be about testing enforce vaccinating so they're already threatening that and I think that you know that they are threatening men and that makes me conspiracy theorists. Well no I I I know people who are anti vaccines. I'm somebody who believes that you should take a vaccine. If you feel like you WanNa take the vaccine. I don't think anybody should force you to take vaccines and they do have heavy metals in there had an expert on that talked about the Mercury in vaccines just two weeks ago so again we know something about it. I'll talk about it but but listen I gotta be honest with you pat. Maybe if we real life you wouldn't be like this but you've got an edge on you that that makes me not want to talk to you anymore but I appreciate you let me quickly take Pollen Cal Colorado Paul about thirty five forty seconds ahead. Hey y'all as far as the government controlled part of this thing goes. I think that's what the whole issue is going on here. I agree that there is a lot of government control and conspiracy theories on both sides. Of course. Let's let's face it Joe. And there's a scare tactic like the.

"This was start to finish. Perhaps the Best College football team certainly seen this century. I mean from from over the past twenty years. She just from start to finish they. Were the best team. Got A quarterback who won the heisman and incredible defense defense. I mean a lot of great players And and to put up those kind of numbers for Joe Burrow he wasn't playing then like the wack conference in the eighties. With all due respect he was playing in the SEC against the best teams in the country and to put up the numbers you put up against Clemson which was the second best team in the country. Ohio state your claim to that extraordinary very LSU the national champs and Ed are on the head coach and say go this. I can't I still can't I need. I need a Google translator whenever it starts talking uh-huh I can't I can't figure out what he's right where he belongs. He's from the Bayou and he's coach the Tigers right now all right all right three weeks before. The Iowa caucuses caucuses a new monmouth university. Poll has Joe Biden in first with twenty four percent support Bernie Sanders Buddha judge and Elizabeth. Warren are statistically tied for second within the polls four point five margin of error sitting at eighteen percent seventeen percent and fifteen percent respectively. Simply Amy Klobuchar rounds out the top five with eight percents off one second here so revved the one thing we see in this poll and every other can have some some a little bit of variants here and there. But you got you got married going down. And he's been going down in every poll Elizabeth going down. She's been going down in every poll. Whether it's three or five or seven and Bernie going up only different sears Biden. They've got Biden going up five point. Well that's November number so from a short time ago but we're GONNA show some other polls show Biden doing well in every state now so this poll comes just a few days after after a CNN des Moines Register poll found Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren tied for first. Did I interrupt while I would never do when I say the greatest that means From Johnston Colbert Caribbeans. No I think. I think that we're seeing saying that. There is a real and so far immovable Bernie Sanders Block and I think that I hope he doesn't doesn't get hurting himself by getting a little side spats with with one and all he has a solid block that they cannot ignore. And I think it's GonNa want to come down to Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders right now. We get a surprise in the early states in New Hampshire. Iowa New Hampshire Right Bata a lot of South Carolina. Then we'll see a bloomberg and money ways. It was super Tuesday's changes so it's still a jump ball I mean. I intend to be the debate tonight night night. We'll see how they behave. But if they don't eat their own you could have a clear shot at coming up with a unified candidate and winning but the big question question is do. The Democrats beat the Democrats that Willy. How much too Joe Bye Love Love Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren going after each other? This is just like Howard. Dane and Dick Gephardt tearing each other just shred shreds and John Kerry very just sitting there going right on the eve of the debate. No less so you know the first line of questioning or at least a significant line of questioning is going to be about these claims Elizabeth. Warren has made that Bernie Sanders told her in December of two thousand. Eighteen personally confirmed this last night that a woman couldn't win could be Donald Trump. He denies is that vehemently his campaign says that's a liar that she misinterpreted what he said. But Yeah Joe Biden Adrian out. Rod has to be loving what he's seeing as he sits. We've called him durable able and that's exactly what he is if you look at all these polls he's still sitting right where he's been for the most part True you wouldn't be surprised if any one of four candidates won in Iowa but he does have to like what he's seeing as the progressive wing in Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth. Warren of party fights it out. Yeah you're exactly right. Willie I mean you look at this moment Paul. It came out yesterday. That shows him at twenty four percent combined with the fact that Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth. Warren are finally breaking their truth and going after each other. So the the debate stage tonight is going to be absolutely fascinating. I think if you're JOE BIDEN YOU'RE GONNA stand back you're going to hope that the two of them You know have a real policy. The debate a debate on the issues because the real distinction between Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren even though they have a lot in common in terms of where they stand on policy is that Elizabeth Elizabeth Warren of the self-declared Capitalist Bernie Sanders is a self declared socialist. So while we've seen some of the sort of breaking their bond over issues like you know a conversation sation about you know can a women female when as President I think tonight you will probably see a little bit more of a policy debate because Elizabeth Smith Warren to the point that we've been talking about. She has dropped significantly in the polls since she where she was a couple of months ago and the only way that she's going to stay in this race it's the chip away at some Bernie Sanders supporters. Well the latest poll out of New Hampshire also shows Joe Biden in first place in the Franklin Pierce University of Boston Herald..
