I wanted to get that point across. I knew that. I wanted to get the point across of that. He's done so many great things in his life great achievements. he really was born with not a lot but he's done really great things like the radio show and everything like that. An american idol and dance with stars. But that's trash. Compared to that moment the wedding is the biggest thing that he'd ever done in his life and i knew i wanted to point that out too and on top of that. I did a little couple of jokes you there. You got some good cackles in the audience. I knew that it was going to be a little roller coaster of like. But i didn't know that i was going to get choked up Didn't plan on pausing moment. "Stephen Moore. Steve, How are you? Joe. Good to be with you. Good to have you on, man. I heard some good news today about you affiliating with Newsmax TV, which is a network that's taken off like crazy. That's gonna be fun, right? It is. It's a It's a Sunday morning show. It'll be for an hour and we'll be talking about the economy a little bit of politics, a little bit of finance and how to turn our country back around. I mean, these were going to be You know, some trying four years ahead of us. You know, Magnus, not after a very good start, So it looks like we're gonna be engaged him some hand to hand combat figuratively. Not literally. Of course, you can't say combat. You can't say fight. You can't see anything like that. But if you do, then you're starting trouble. Somehow it is our Steve Moore, former adviser for President Trump's So let me ask you this. I saw something on Artie. Now there's so much social media. Now there's somebody networks now. And there's just some video that was rolling on some social media site and a so called you know, economic expert was on talking about how horrible it was under Trump Trump ruined everything. How already Biden has has turned the ship around. It's gonna be awfully hard to come back from what Trump did now I could be wrong, but I'm kind of a dumb guy on the radio. But Joe Biden on day one signed executive orders, canceling thousands and tens of thousands of American jobs and that he raised the price of insulin for people who couldn't afford insulin. And then he said, Well, 11 million of those who are here illegally. We're going to kind of figure out how to let them stay here and compete with with Americans for jobs. Steve did I miss something. I mean, how is it that this guy's turning things around him? What was the status the status of our economy? As President? Trump left that alcove? It killed it, But we were in a strong position before Cove it if you can't just opine for a bit about what I just said. Well, I wrote. I'm a little biased. I was, you know, a number of years senior economic adviser for Trump 1016 campaign helped write the tax plan with my buddy Larry Kozlow. S so you know, I think that I told the president this you know, uh, month or so ago, which is I'm extraordinarily proud of being playing a small part. What he did there you rebuild. Our economy was incredible Miracle really? What happened in Trump's first three years we took over from the by the way. There's a lot of rewriting of history right now. How wonderful the Obama years were. No, they weren't wonderful years. They weren't the worst recovery from recession ever. The economy was limping to the goal line and have one half percent growth rate €3 that Mama left the White House That's barely staying out of recession. And remember Joe all these economists like Paul Krugman. I said, Oh, my gosh, You know, now that Donald Trump is the president, we have a great recession and the stock market's gonna collapse. Remember that Instead, we just had one of the great booms of all time, and it wasn't just the stock market that did very well but You know some of the really Amazing. You know things were that I'm really proud about what the president was proud of his. You know that we We lower the interest rates and inflation rate, too. You know, practically the lowest levels ever. We have the lowest unemployment rate. Uh, for blacks and Hispanics ever 50 year low for a lot of these, you know, jobless rates and then, um, you know, we have the lowest poverty rate in the history of United States under Trump in 2019. And I remembered by the way, Joe right before was almost exactly a year ago, almost to the Europe from one we're sitting here right now on I was thinking Things are just too good right now. I mean, we have seven million surplus jobs, seven million more jobs and people to fill them. Whatever problem, remember? Seriously, I think this is too good. Something's gonna happen. The media is gonna happen. We're gonna have a terrorist attack or, you know, we're gonna have an earthquake. One thing I didn't figure on was a pandemic. You know this once in a century pandemic, But even there, you know they pandemic flatten the economy in the first half of the year. And then trump My goodness to me that the speed of the recovery I mean, look, we're all struggling. Now. We're still struggling with Cove it But we're way way ahead of Europe were way way ahead of where any of the economists thought we would be. Because of Trump's policies. And, of course, the ultimate, you know, stimulus for the economy. Joe is the is the vaccine and one of the greatest government programs I've ever seen in my lifetime. Probably the greatest Government programs since D Day was the operation worked speed and Operation Warp Speed wasn't a government program. I was a program to get the government out of the way so we could get the vaccine. And so that's going to save tens of millions of lives around the world, and Trump deserves a lot of credit for that former lead economic adviser for President Donald Trump, you know he came in lower taxes for everybody got rid of the individual mandate, which was a huge tax in the middle class that the left refuses to acknowledge. We saw a manufacturer. Coming back jobs coming back see EOS and companies were not stashing the cash in their mattresses. They give out huge bonuses to millions of Americans. Bite now says he's going to be bringing manufacturing back because he signed an executive order. They've said made in America or something like that. Which, of course, isn't a real action. That's not gonna really do anything. So when you hear about $15 an hour minimum wage, how he's going to economically bring equity somehow to people in America. What sort of a shock do you think that's going to be for the economy? I mean again? I'm not an economist, but in watching what happened under Trump when there wasn't a pandemic and watching under a pandemic, what Biden wants to do. It sounds to me, Steve. Like this is gonna tell a small business owner. You better start firing some people because you're not gonna be able to afford to keep them all when we w the minimum wage. So I would have just almost a week now of the buying process. Uh, I have to say, you know is that this President's after a very, very bad start. You know, one day you know the moment he was inaugurated, he called for unity and then all we've had since then, it's just a blizzard of left wing policies that You know, our, uh maybe maybe they came from all came from Bernie Sanders. But I'm just yes, that that's I mean, you got the killing of the Keystone Pipeline 15,000 Union jobs down the drain. Their Paris climate accord is gonna kill our energy industry, the worst treaty in American history. We're reentering and another country's air. Complying with it. Uh, there's an executive order to Discontinue most of the oil gas drilling on federal lands and you know with over a third of the land's United States is owned by the United States government. So that takes a lot of area off line for drilling and mining. You know, you're seeing the 11 million Illegal immigrants that will be You know, will be legalized and look, I'm not in some case. I think that's fine. But we also need to have border security. There's nothing about border security factor. He's stopping the building of the wall. Which makes no sense that 70% of the way, Bill. Why not just continue and have it fully built on Ben? You mentioned minimum wage $15 an hour..

"What happens? A lot has changed. A lot has changed this year. Joe is in Silver Spring, Maryland this morning and joining us, Joe Good morning. Good morning. Very nice to speak with you. Happy New year to both of you seem high. I tell you what. I just been devastated by this year. I'm 70 years old and my wife and I have Not seeing our grandchildren or how dark grandchildren We've seen them on Zoom. Yes, and we've done all that They called us and I have some underlying conditions, but I'm working. Still. I worked with individuals with disabilities and will not give them up. Taken from minister precautions. My son our son wants me to stop working because I'm horrible but not going with And by the grace of God, I'm still okay. Um, but anyways and that and and I just realized I hate to say it, but I'm so disgusted with the city of Washington, D c. I will not go down there and visit and eating any of their restaurants, which I'm sorry to say. But I will give I will protest and completely peacefully and not mostly peacefully, and that's where I stand today. So here's my only pause with that. Why take it out on the businesses themselves? I mean, the reason these businesses are shuttered is because of their government. I mean, you can't even be dying inside right now, even if you want to do the city's helping you protest Yes, but see, the government is not protecting the people when they do die, and you have people being harassed people having their food taken from them and by the people, and I'm sorry, I do. I feel bad for the restaurants. And it's not a attack on the restaurant's on the management of the city. Joe, can I ask you mentioned being with your family and you're looking forward to doing that again? Especially your grandchildren? Do you intend to get the vaccine as quickly as you can? Yes. Okay, interested. I'm not surprised by that. Ah, lot of people. I think that fit. Your description are very eager. Humiliating run continues for Trump legal team's vote-fraud arguments

"Christie telling President Trump the election is over. President has had an opportunity to access the courts. And I said to you know, George store and get 2:30 A.m. on Wednesday morning if you've got the evidence of fraud presented What's happened here is quite frankly, The contents of the president's legal team has been a national embarrassment to more key states in the presidential election due to certify results today, Let's get an update on that. Joining us live is NBC Radio National correspondent Bills in for Good Morning Bill. Hey, Joe. Good morning, and one of those could be very interesting to watch that is Michigan, one of two states at all certifies, You said today Pennsylvania's the other. But in Michigan, the canvassing board meets this afternoon at one o'clock eastern time to go over the vote totals and to vote to certify one problem. One of the Republicans on that board. Norman Schinkel has already indicated he will vote against certifying the vote in Michigan, where Joe Biden beat Donald Trump by 154,000 votes If the other Republican on the board joins him, and he has refused to comment on this, that would be a two to tie on. Nobody is quite sure what would happen after that it would go to the courts in some fashion, and it could go down to the governor who could replace members of the canvassing. Board. It could get very ugly there, so we're going to keep an eye on that one today. On then in Pennsylvania certification is expected to take place today. This coming after a judge over the weekend not only rejected the lawsuit presented by Rudy Giuliani in court last week. He body slammed it, Joe. He said that it contained strained legal arguments without merit and speculative accusations. UN supported by evidence and those were the nice things, he said S O the fact that that was a major setback. The certification in Pennsylvania will go on today, even though this move by the judge has been appealed. S so we have a lot of action going on today. If you thought maybe the political wild fires were put out over the weekend. I'm sorry They were not no, not at all.

I'm going to say at least another week or so of Above average temperatures after we get through this little cool snap, which we will not show ends today will be yeah. Windy and cold this morning West Southwest winds gusting 2025 MPH plus But they had a little bite to the air jacket down this morning for election day. But most of us just seems high clouds with a clear sky. Probably more clouds coming in later, but some sun windy early today's high 51 Now that's still seven degrees below normal. Tonight, 40 below normal to clear 30 suburbs and had sunshine warm up starting tomorrow 61 degrees, so that's above average 65 Thursday. 65 Friday Joe Good run coming up for the rest of the week, and it stays in the mid sixties as they look ahead toward the weekend and early next week, and the forecast is for mostly sunshine overnight lows coming up into the upper forties below fifties in the city. And I dug it out. So I went looking for precipitation just because I could maybe not in the middle or end of next week, and that doesn't even look like it's going to be a bunch. I think much of the Eastern half of the nation all this week is going to be relatively quiet. And mild. That's probably.

"Two instead of having Five weekdays. I have 10 many weekdays because I go home. Take a two hour nap usually get up at like noon my time and I drink coffee and have breakfast, I think do another day. Very weird way to live. I don't mind it, but it's very strange Morning show life for you. So you have a three hour earlier morning than me. But at the same where we're up watching the same games late into the night like last night after the Dodger game, I'm sitting there like I'm not ready for bed. That was insane. My heart is racing pacing around in the living room like I can't just go to sleep now. So Yeah, you got an app. You know, it did just It's It's on a lot of days. Hard for me to do. But you gotta know how much cooling off time do you need? I mean, I know, And it's usually Yeah, some like that when I was when I was covering the MBA, and I'm glad don't travel as much both the heating just in general, I would get out of them. I would leave the Miami Heat game. Sometimes it's like it was like a televised nationally televised game. There went overtime at midnight or 12 30. And the guys and hung out like Brian Winters was one of those dudes, Joe Good, and they run a little more slowly than I did. I wrote to quit. I will just like fly through it. We would meet for dinner some some Tuesday night at 3 30 in the morning, but you could do in Miami like I would go to bed at 6 A.m. and then wake up at 8 30 to go shoot around, then come back and same thing. The nap life. I'll be so just and that's made to spending three hours in the overnight here before you know it holds up for this show. It's just like you get in that rhythm of you know the games and then you then you get to work. And once you get in that rhythm suddenly it's you know, 56 am, you're still riding off the adrenaline and urine that rhythm. It's weird. It's weird. Sort of correct your clock back from that. Yeah, it's fun. But getting back to normal from that schedules is not fun kids or what's changing. For me? It's hard to be a dad and to be going to sleep at 6 A.m., right when your when your kids are getting up. You know what, though? If there's ever a time for Ah, little bit of weirdest and schedule and I guess it's I guess it's 2020 idea. I have a breaking his idea. Let's do by herself. What.

Trump fears emergency declaration would contradict coronavirus message

"This a worrisome warning to Congress from Dr Anthony Fauci who heads up the infectious disease bureau of the national institutes of health the system does not is not really geared to what we need right now what you are asking for that is a failing and failing yeah it is a family dinner let's admit it hi president trump reportedly considering taking action under the Stafford act to deal with what's going on let's find out what the Stafford act is in what might be coming down the pike I hear it live is N. B. C. radio national correspondent bills in for good morning bill so tell us about this yeah Joe good morning and that's been one of the questions out there why hasn't president trump declared a national emergency here he could do so under the Stafford act which was passed back in nineteen eighty eight it really brings FEMA into the picture and provides legal authority for the federal government to provide assistance to states during declared major disasters and emergencies it normally is used for things like hurricanes flooding fires but can be used for pandemics in fact it was used back in two thousand with the west Nile virus outbreak in New York in New Jersey so this would bring female into the mix would also mobilize that federal disaster aid that could be distributed to states as needed there's also another club in the bag so to speak for the president this would be the national emergencies act which was passed in nineteen seventy six which would give the president even broader powers that's what Barack Obama did during the flu epidemic of two thousand nine it would enable the president to do things like change laws if need be so why has the hasn't the president done this that is the question some say it's because it runs counter to what has been his his general message so far down playing this outbreak in fact this national emergencies act Joe was what the president used last year when he declared a national emergency along the southern border Chuck Schumer he's one of those saying it's a mystery why the president hasn't done this he needs to do it and he needs to do

Joe Nevills Interview: A Long Goodbye To Mount Pleasant Meadows

"Joe put together a piece titled Biting the Dust Along Goodbye to mount pleasant meadows. And you can go back and Google it on the pollock report now. It was published on June July twenty second of last year and that is now and eclipse award winning feature and congratulations to Joe Honor. Joe Good morning my friend. Happy to have you onboard here man. Where'd you find that clip throwback I so I started google? I I wanted to come up with something to welcome you to the program. Something Mount Pleasant Meadows related and I started googling race calls at Mount Pleasant Meadows and that was is the only piece that I could find. I'm thankful that you put that together all those years ago. Yeah that was that was Scott Sirnak who actually wrote about in the stories won the eclipse award. The man did everything. He was the announcer. He was the bartender programs from marketing. Director Janitor Even puncher tickets on a slow today the secretary we had to do everything there yet. You know I said this is the top of the show you the peace article that you wrote was so good. It struck a chord for me. Personally I think it did for so many racing fans that have ever fallen in love with the race track. That is no longer there and correct me if I'm wrong. was that kind of the crux in the inspiration for you put this together. It's something that you know. The story took me probably Raleigh about five years to put together from first thoughts to hitting send on it. Just because I knew that I wanted to write something about my pleasant. That was when I closed. Because you know the demand for writing about forces. I mean the the the demand for writing about horse racing in Michigan so low that it's you know someone's going to do something wrong it's pretty much gotTa be me and I knew that I was only got got one shot at this and I needed to make it out so it's something that I've been trying to piece together for a long long time and get the right people to talk to the people that I associated with most with the track who are three people. I talked to for the story and you know. Try to stick the landing because I was only GonNa get one shot at this thing. You know miskin Michigan race tracks have been closing for a very long time. And you're a Michigan native. Why was Mount Pleasant Meadows? The one that was so personal for you. Well there are two reasons one is it was the closest track to me I grew up in town called Edmore Michigan about thirty five minutes from my pleasant. So usually the thoroughbred outposts were either in Detroit or the Detroit area or in Muskegon which is on the coast of Lake Michigan. So this is Kinda my local option. If I just wanted to go play the simulcast or you know just go watch live racing without having to take up. Most of my day month wasn't meadows was my option and you the other one was that it was just very accepting community. It's where my Grandpa taught me to read the racist. Learn the races and you know it was small enough that you got to know everybody because it had to because you know you could. I used to have a joke on twitter that I could go round and high five everyone on the tracks grounds if if I hit a good ticket and so you had to figure out who everybody was you know everybody. And that's something that stuck with me for years after the track is close when you stand stand there and you look at what is the old mount pleasant meadows location. What are some of the things that immediately hit you? I mean you think about some of the people and horses that were out there competing You know mount pleasant was the place where you know. There weren't a whole lot of professional jockeys professional trainers in the sense that this was their job. This was their ways to make a living You know a lot of them were a lot of the jockeys were factory workers or they worked as mechanics next. Had you know the country businesses. What have you you know a lot of other trainers? This was something that you know. They ran their horses on the weekends. Here and if they had a good one they'd go to Pinnacle Race Course a Great Lakes down there but like this. Was You know this. This was the base for them. So I think of those people and it was you know since it's such a small core. The same jockeys are the same group of eight ten jockeys or writing every race. The Same Group of you know twenty or so trainers are sending every horse through everything so I think that and I think the south you know. You played the clip of Scott announcing the races earlier. I think of all the different announcers that they had. I think of you know very specific people in the crowd yelling because you you know you get into a crowd of people have very distinctive voices especially when they're being very loud and you think of you know I think that's the jockeys wife and that's you know certain fan who just lost her. You lost a bet or something and just think of the sights and sounds and you know for me. I think of the smells. There's something that I wrote about in the story how you know. The track had a very particular particular smell when it was going I believe I said it was Plastic seats in the sun cigarettes in the open air and the stuff you find under a chairs. There's boot and it's just you know it's something very particular track that I've always associated with it whether it was actually a good smell or not is to be determined urban but I knew where I was when I was there and that was something that you know. It's association you know that I'm at a place I like and things are going to be all right. There are a few individuals that if you spend time talking with in this in this article and trainer nate funnel is one jockey. Lee Gates is another now many people when I say those names are not gonna any clue who were talking about so tell me a little bit more about those guys. So nate funnel He was born in Colorado. Moved to Oh Michigan when he was teen and he was The came up under trainer named Tony Cunningham. Who was a quarter horse trainer? WHO's actually gone on to do? Very well in Indiana China has been the meat leading trainer there several times and he went out his own in the last few years of track and did pretty well for himself both in the quarter. Horses this is N.. Thoroughbreds and Arabians not plus it had racist for all sorts of different breeds. They also round paints there too and you know it was just a very he. He came to the life of the party. Kinda guy when You know you go over to attract simulcasts at the bar there. As well. He'd always be at the at the bar. You know cracking wise. The people making jokes and just kind of you know he's he'd be the loudest voice in the room and you know he'd do the same out of the race track. It'd be he's the one that would always associate. Let's being somebody who would almost be like a wrestling bill and to the crowd and just sort of like you know John Jacking with people you know like Oh we got. The horse is going to be the favorite right right here. I've got the odd odd that you can do it. He'd always they only got the killer right here and you know he was. He was a big character. He was a big hairdryer. Small track and that really stood stood out pearly gates leave road for his parents primarily Dave and Shirley Gates They wrote on this parents would run on the fair circuit before my pleasant meadows opened and Lee had two riders build so he was the one that got up on the horses when he was in his teens and that just sort of became his thing after that I spent the weeks working at a factory nearby and the entire family lives on. Basically the same stretch of road around Blanchard Michigan. And we're right up on the weekends cans Something kind of interesting about the writing contingent is that the racist would go very quickly on Saturdays and Sundays. It started one. That'd be done by about four so everybody would ride their cards there. And then Grew up with them. We're getting a car together. And drive down to Indiana downs. which is a good five hour drive at least from my blood and they would ride the quarterhorse card there because it would always be the last two or three races on a night card so they leave my pleasant at about four? Drive down to Indiana Indiana downs and ride the horse races. There you know. What ten o'clock at night? Then turn around and come back and ride the Sunday racism applause so now these are people who made their living doing this but it was a hard living doing it to do it all they needed to

House Judiciary Committee approves guidelines for Trump impeachment hearings

"Back in Washington house Democrats moving forward with an impeachment investigation of the president of the designation poses a threat to our democracy we have an obligation to respond to this thread and we are doing so has house Judiciary Committee chairman Jerry Nadler after his committee approved the rules governing a possible impeachment joining us now to talk more about that NBC radio national correspondent bills in for good morning bill Hey Joe good morning yeah this is a procedural move but it is a big move by as the Judiciary Committee voted along party lines to approve the guidelines for committee impeachment hearings for president trump so what it does is it enables them give them a little more legal power of the committee can designate certain hearings adds technically impeachment hearings that can empower their staff to question witnesses and it would permit the president council to officially respond to testimony as well so this is like I said a procedural type of boat but still it sets the stage for the next step and Nadler says that by the end of the year they should reach a conclusion on whether to recommend articles of impeachment to the full house of representatives this all has many Democrats including Nancy Pelosi walking a fine line now while she has signed off on the committee's actions she. he has also well been a little bit reluctant to say she wants to go the impeachment route saying that the American public is not ready for that remember almost half of the Democrats in the house of representatives have still not gotten on board with impeachment proceedings a more than half has but that means he still has a rather large block to keep satisfied in the house of representatives well I think what this this this move does it allows them to an almost Democrats don't want to do the impeachment that allows them to do the impeachment while really not doing it well that's correct because they can go through the whole hearing an investigative process that doesn't mean it goes anywhere from here maybe it does but the first hearing is already scheduled to be Corey Lewandowski the former campaign manager who will be a quiz don things like whether he was ordered to tell Jeff sessions to scale back the Mahler investigation so you're right Joe it'll give Democrats a chance to get the facts out there without even going farther down the road but there is a danger if they begin to reveal some facts that get more support for impeachment and they almost may be backed into a corner and may be forced to present these articles of impeachment of a full house and with that at that point less than a year to go to the election that could create some real sticky territory for Democrats very good thank NBC radio national correspond

"Home thanks to Joe. good morning guys morning idea the information you're sharing do you live dilemma is I have a thermostat hallway upstairs they received a lot of heat from the downstairs at night so I'm trying to kick the Dow's your thermostat down so don't get so much hot air but this morning there's nine degree temperature difference between the hallway in the bedroom. and we do sleep with the door closed. I'm here is the way to regulate that or besides shutting plants down because it just depends on how hard it's been the day before and how hot it is downstairs and I just need to make the downstairs temperature colder so the harder to trick the thermostat hallway that would be one way of doing it the other way we do it of doing it would probably use something called in I could be thermostat it's one of the new smarter thermostats the excuse they have the ability to use additional room sensors so your thermostat can stay right where it is but we can put sensors wherever you want and there's a couple ways we can have a read only from the sensor so it only read the temperature let's say your master bedroom if that's where you want to regulate temperature from or we can have it spread out through all the rooms upstairs and have it average the temperature out from them and take the thermostat other question other than just being a control and then you would have to worry about the heat in the hallway having a factor on it. interesting to called echo B. it could be yeah we we install on news that's of them not to take business idea can average homeowner put one of those and so for yeah actually the wire that needs to be connected somewhere it depends on the wiring in the house you may need some professional help it just depends on how the wiring set up but get.

And you want to jump all him old. Here's our line of today. Here's what we have Tony cruise, Paul Rogers. Jody Deming all out at the track. They'll be up in the grandstand along with Hayley Hanson. Terry minors is out and about Tony and Dwight or about been told Tony Dwight are doing their own thing, by the way, Leland Conway, Nick coffee out specked, anything different from them. It's katie. And aiming Nick are out talking to the celebrities today, I did see some of the celebrity functions last night. You heard the clips from will Clark. I was texting him while he was at the barn. Stable Brown asking him. How things were going. I told Jerry. Said one of the reporters look reporters was broadcasting derby galas, and they were at fourth street live and evidently everybody was having a good time because we caught the one moment where one lady decided she would give the one finger salute everybody TV during the during the whole derby derby festivities, so it is an exciting day. Boy, do we we have a special edition of Kentucky Saturday morning news day, we were on until four o'clock today. I'm sorry. We're on until four hour show. We're until ten o'clock. We're okay now, we're probably going to be okay throughout most of the day until you guessed it right before the derby about two o'clock is when we're supposed to get more. We'll get to weather here just a bit. But about two o'clock it's supposed to ramp up. And then wouldn't you know around eight o'clock it tapers off. And so I was gonna be seventy five and sunny, so we have a lot to talk about obviously, the two scratches high calling him how beach in the derby, Jerry, you mentioned the oaks winner yesterday. Just would offend attic day at the get an attendance count yesterday by chance to you know. No, I don't know that we got an attendance count. But I didn't look for that this morning that you do want to remind folks that beginning here with our eight o'clock news, we're going to start also looking at traffic good. We'll have good Bobby who Bobby Ilisu. We'll be tracking the best way into an out of Churchill Downs. It's changed over the years. You know, there used to be certain ways, you could get there, you know, hometown. Folks could find a way to get through the back roads and get there a lot of those have been shut down because of construction and and just control of traffic. So listen to what Bobby says, he'll get you in and get you out yet from what I'm gathering, at least, the buzz. That I'm getting in the film getting his I watch people in listened to folks talk. There are a lot of people in town for the weather, obviously is not keeping people away for derby. Like it used to is the infield really gets sort of it doesn't get smaller. But there's more covered venues that are available for folks. I mean, everybody and their brother isn't down for this thing today. I think we're going to have some great attendance, regardless of the weather doesn't seem to be a big concern for folks. So great points, Jerry. We'll keep you updated on that. Again. This is the start of twelve plus hours of coverage. Hey, if you've got a derby party punch-up, then I heart radio app. Paul Rodgers will have all the calls all the race calls. Tony crews will be breaking down Jody Deming. We'll be along as well. We'll keep you covered it with a great sort of backdrop to your derby parties that you're having today. So we got a lot to talk about. So let's start with the big story that would be the weather and that according to meteorologists for derby day. This is Kentucky on his Saturday. Morning news. Yes. I it it watchable. That's why. But because we we want to sit there and say how we're not the world's police. We're not responsible for the world. But trumpet, Trump's responsible for what happened in New Zealand and all this shifting blame. It eliminates the ability to stop things from happening. We are not a democracy are founding fathers knew that a democracy will eventually become socialist, which eventually becomes communist. They set it up to Republic four degrees in and we are we are experiencing. Exactly why. Tell us all the time. If you say something long enough, it becomes truth. They've been calling America a democracy democracy for years now long enough that people have that become truth. And it's not and now look at here, we are facing socialism, fascism, and all this other crap that does not belong here that's causing problems. Congress needs to understand and keep their oath uphold our constitution, stop changing it and stop making it what you think it needs to be because. There are a lot of people in the station. And until you return to a foundation of God, you're never gonna be able to have true freedom because everybody has their idea freedom. And some of these ideas of freedom are really messed up. Like did that guy had the freedom to go into these two mosques and slaughter forty nine people because that's the kind of freedom that socialism fascism. Childhood arrivals program that's that that program put in. Place by President Obama that allows young illegal immigrants Or they were, young at one point. To stay. In the United States without punishment how, is it exactly and and the judge says that. The Trump administration failed in its rationale for why it was changing it back. Why does it need to provide a rationale of this is an executive action to begin with well actually it. Doesn't make a confession here John I'm a John Bates the chief of my civil. Executive order by President Obama is a legal unconstitutional ongoing rescinded he's already said that Publicly that is sufficient reason the is simply wrong this notion this is something that the. Judge and two other. Judges just don't wanna do they don't want to take responsibility for making these children quote unquote leave the country. This is another outrageous example of judicial overreach he said that the reasons given by the president? Or, arbitrary and capricious my answer to that. Is. Nonsense get yourself a dictionary judge Joe why why does the constitutionally constitutionality and legality of this action even matter like let's pretend it. Was all fine and on the up. And up wouldn't it be well within the president's rights. To remove, a program put in place by the same branch of. Government yes it it it. Is within his the is simply wrong you know this is this is under the rubric of these. These old cases from the nineteen seventies by liberal judges that wants a right has been, created, by, the government in order to take it away you have to have. Some over arching justification This is the corruption of judicial overreach and how it has infected our. Public policy the fundamental rule here is the president who, follows, another, president can rescind. The executive orders of the previous president that. He's black letter constitutional law and the fact that federal judges refused to. Recognize it shows why it's important to get Brett Cavanaugh, on, the. Supreme? Court could everything is going to have to work its way to? The supreme court and that's part of what what's going on on the, left is that they're just delaying delaying delaying the marvelous game the left cannot win through elections so it winds through? The, courts regrettably. This is a Republican judge John Bates he's. A nice, guy but he's just dead wrong let's talk about another judge Dana sabroto a. US district judge who said that the Trump administration is responsible for finding immigrant parents who were deported and chose to. Leave their children here or who were release East into the US for whatever reason without their children how is. This the administration's responsibility if the parents chose to leave their children here in wouldn't take them with them this is another example of, incomprehensible judicial conduct I'm not quite sure what it's gonna take to sort of get federal judges back into the role that the constitution. Gives them which is relatively limited one had like five or six federal judges. Basically running the government telling the president of the United States that he can't do things that he was elected to. Do that is absolutely absurd it. Is a kind of judicial autonomy that. Has gotten out of control. There is. No justification for what, that judge did and yet. It continues this is going to happen until we get. A full smackdown from the supreme court on the substance of each issue which is whether or not the president has already and then secondarily these nationwide Guide injunctions the. Judges issue from one little court? In podunk that's all gotta stop and the supreme court has to address that the. FBI has released some documents related to Christopher. Steele move onto him he's the the guy who compiled the Trump dossier the the one is filled with all sorts of half, truths and and skeptical. Information of in terms of how credulous we should be about it Christopher Steele FBI documents heavily heavily redacted we can find out almost no information this is almost this. Is almost a joke. Right well what we know now is that this is this is no. Longer even open to question notwithstanding the lunatics on, CNN MSNBC and the. New York Times and the Washington Post there was the plot a brazen plot to exonerate Hillary Clinton and to frame Donald Trump it's real simple stop it it's not. Even open to, question anymore The Steele dossier is basically, unverified garbage none of it has ever been verified I keep hearing John Brennan and others say oh. Some of it's been verified but they never quite say. What ended has been. Verified and the reason is they can't what's really interesting is it after Steele was fired by the FBI for violating. Their rules as a confidential informant they actually continue to use him by having him report directly to Bruce Moore who was out of the deputies office under Obama in the Justice department and then. Bruce or acted steals, mouthpiece going back. To the f. b. i. and giving. Them the same type of bad intelligence and, the? FBI, because this is what they do made three o two's for every interview that they had. With Bruce source they're they're like sixty or seventy of these forms which Senator Grassley. Wants to make public, the bureau is refusing by the way keep your eyes and ears. Open over the, next week. Or two or a little bit more More there's going to be more stuff on five it's going to be fascinating it's going to get very ugly for Christopher Wray and rod Rosenstein. As evidence continues to mount that they are withholding information from congress and the public merely. Because they don't want to embarrass the, bureau or their predecessors at the department of Justice very interesting we will be looking for that Jaysekulow has come out and said that if Muller subpoenas the president they're gonna fight. Them all. The way to the supreme court But yet doesn't is fine the face, of what Rudy. Giuliani has been out saying to the last week or so well I think you're seeing a little good cop bad cop here I don't expect, the president to agree to any. Interview by Muller given the incredible illegitimacy of Muller's investigation the manner in which it's, been conducted the people who were conducting it. I think that the president is. Under no constitutional obligation in a case like this. Where he is not accused of a crime he is not a vital witness. There is no evidence that he has any information the special counsel has not provided to the president. In any of his letters any evidence that he thinks the president possesses which. Can get from no one else under existing law the. President is generally quote not. Available because he's very busy in this situation I think the, president will win any fight over subpoena I think Muller knows that and I think if, he were, going to, issue a subpoena he would've issued a long long Time ago. He doesn't want to issue it subpoenaed. Yeah I mean the president's in Bedminster a lotta time to think about whether, or not he actually wants. To do this we'll see what the outcome of that is Joe digenova thank you very. Much, really appreciate it as always seven fifteen now, wwl.
