So that crash is taking up both of the traffic lanes. Hopefully that's a temporary stoppage there to clean up the crash just like we've seen multiple temporary stoppages on this crash on the southeast freeway. In the district. Right now it's a single right link getting you past the third street tunnel on the eastbound freeway through the district and westbound unaffected. Light volume, which is actually a problem as folks are coming up on this at well over the speed limit. Approaching all the flares and the flashing lights set up just over a little hill here on the southeast freeway headed towards the 11th street bridge. I've seen multiple crashes in the if you want to call a 20 car thing a backup, it's a backup here. So please, please be careful as you're approaching that. Elsewhere in the district, Rhode Island avenue is still closed, at north capital street, two 95 north we're still dealing with a crash at benning road that's taking up at least one lane. And Connecticut and cathedral avenue police are still working that crash as well. In Virginia, the only issue we've got is on the shirlington circle, a single lane of two is blocked, especially as you work around at the shirlington side of that interchange over three 95 and Quaker lane. A three 95 itself is unaffected, but you can access all of the ramps now. You'll be in good shape to head south then on 95 all the way down to towards Fredericksburg and Richmond, no problems on 66, the bellway looks good. Two 70 95 BW Parkway are fine. Remember 32 still temporarily stopped westbound in between the Parkway and 95. So go ahead and use either one 75, 100, we'll get you around those much better than 32. Joe Fox WTO traffic. We're still looking on a Sunday Night at a 9 mile delay as you head southbound from lorton across the aqa Quan through Potomac mills, past Dale boulevard to the crash that is just after the cardinal drive overpass after the car rest area, but before the truck way station, it's going to be on the left side of the road, taking away one lane two to the right get you by, but it's 9 miles of slow traffic as you head southbound. Unfortunately, you can not see it from the northbound lanes, therefore, the northbound lanes are moving just fine as you head up through Prince William county and actually all the way from Fredericksburg to the Springfield interchange with no issue. Over on Maryland route two ten still dealing with delays. I think it's just the construction. Now, right around polymer Livingston road as you head northbound towards the beltway, still dealing with the remains of the crash that was on D.C. two 95 north just after the 11th street bridge before Pennsylvania avenue. Here to slow coming off the exit now from the 11th street bridge, otherwise moving well if you wanted to head south down. We had a report of a car fire. It looks like it might be there as you head northbound on I two 95 leaving national harbor just after oxen cove near blue plains. Stay alert for that. It should be on the right side of the roadway file, police direction, obviously give the folks the authorities lots of room to do their work. This evening, 50 out to the bay bridge. No problems. Liz, good morning again, as we mentioned a few minutes ago on 66, the intermittent closures are still happening. It looks like so as you are heading eastbound or inbound past from Gainesville into manassas, you will encounter a roadblock hitch at sudley road. So if you see traffic stopped ahead of you, you might be able to access the subtly road exit headed eastbound, but you may want to divert to route 29 through the battlefield might be a better bet for the next 20 minutes to a half hour. If you're farther out, don't worry about it, it will probably open up. Let's say 9 29 30, you should be in good shape. Headed westbound, same story before 28, not seeing any traffic getting by. Although I'm seeing what looks like it might be a release here. So it might have been a shorter closure. Bottom line, have a backup plan as your headed east or westbound in between centerville and Gainesville if the closure is still happening westbound, it's going to be just before Virginia route 28 and Centreville. Elsewhere, looking pretty good, 95, no issues, southbound, northbound, the earlier crash we had at Potomac mills is completely cleared. The earlier closures that we had on three 55 Wisconsin avenue are gone. We do still have the utility work. So northbound old Georgetown road at approaching Cedar lane, and we are still looking at the closure of university boulevard in Kensington and Decatur street. "Time ten 28 Traffic and weather on the 8 to Joe Fox and the WTO P traffic since Stephanie big and very important changes at the Chesapeake Bay bridge It looks like they are now closing the entire Chesapeake Bay bridge at this point for the crash that was on the westbound span Unfortunately eastbound span was closed for construction not really sure what they're going to do We did hear one report saying it would be some length of time possibly up to 30 minutes that they were before they would open up the westbound span again as it was open with one lane in each direction the crash right around the center of the bay bridge and police are with it and it looks like folks that are on the bridge are able to get off but they are holding traffic I could see now in stevensville and sandy point So again do not commit to the bay bridge If you're headed in that direction maybe stop at the McDonald's or whatever on either side and it'll be far more comfortable than waiting sitting at the base of the bridge on U.S. 50 in Maryland Elsewhere in southern Maryland two 25 still closed for the crash investigation in the town of Ripley you'll want to divert off of two ten to head over towards three O one you will go by Maryland airport at the Livingston road the last Livingston road exit is your head southbound In Virginia U.S. 50 east bound at the fairfax county Parkway There's a crash appears to be on the right side of the roadway just follow police direction Speaking of police direction please please avoid the area of 14th and spring road at Quincy street We had the barricade situation Stephanie has referred to on the air that whole area is a spot to not go anywhere near So 16th is working as an alternate in and out of northwest Washington as is Georgia avenue with no delays on either H street northeast may still be closed Actually a street northwest I believe still closed between fourth and 5th So use caution and follow police direction Massachusetts avenue makes a good alternate in that region of town Joe Fox WTP traffic Now to storm team four meteorologists Samara Theodore Tonight's lows fall into the 20s a few scattered flurries and snowflakes are possible in the D.C. metro region farther.

"News 24/7 360 five Is everywhere you are 5 28 Traffic and weather on the 8th to Joe Fox in the WTO traffic center in Virginia were starting to see a lot more delays on 95 northbound first at a spotsylvania through the city of Fredericksburg may have had an earlier crash over the rappahannock river Then it's going to be slow again as you pass the Stafford airport and then again between the Stafford courthouse exit and a quiet harbor It looks like that's a slow exit under route one so stay to the left if you're headed through Then the main event is going to be after the dam that you see on the left is about where it backs down before Quantico heading up towards mile marker one 49 We've got the left lane blocked on 95 north down with the crash Police are with it but nobody to toe it yet You're getting by a very squeezed centerline and a right lane to head northbound towards Prince William county on I 95 northbound elsewhere in Virginia the fairfax county Parkway still heavy and slow in between popes had rodenburg center with a crash that's been there for some period of time And we're still working on a crash on the excuse of medical emergency or it may have been a crash as southbound on the GW Parkway at a beam Roosevelt island So in between the key and the Roosevelt bridges northbound the crash turkey run never did appear We had a report of one on the interloop of the bell way before the GW Parkway headed towards the American legion bridge but we're not seeing any evidence of that Over in Maryland the BW Parkway is the focus of things Northbound it looks like we had a crash in between one 98 and 32 Southbound the crash was between one 75 and 32 so both are focused on 32 It's about a mile and a half to leg in either direction on the BW Parkway had another report of a crash potentially on the ramp from northbound 95 to 32 eastbound so use caution as you go around those corners especially with the fog this evening through the trees on that ramp A bay bridge got to see a lot of fog there So again you don't want to use caution but route 50 all the way back in northeast Washington is looking good The earlier crashes we had in Waldorf were gone and The Rock creek Parkway I believe is still closed yes it is still closed in between Connecticut and Massachusetts avenue you'll want to use Connecticut avenue as your alternate Joe Fox WTO traffic And now to storm team four meteorologist clay Anderson As we start a new year we continue with cloudy conditions with rainy moments throughout Saturday afternoon and evening Temperatures will remain on the warm side above average with low temperatures only going down to the 50s tonight for Sunday temperatures will rise briefly into the low to mid.

"A love a 38 Traffic and weather together on the age to Joe Fox in the W TOP traffic center Chris looks like in the district we've got a new crash at the circle or triangle formerly known as Dave Thomas circle at New York and Florida avenues northeast This might be on the stretch of first streets northeast as you're coming down past the McDonald's there Anyway in any event use caution headed through that intersection you will see some emergency response headed in that direction Elsewhere in the district Irving street as you go westbound towards Howard University on the backside of med star Washington hospital center So this will be right before you go under Michigan avenue You're going to have a crash there This one has a fairly significant emergency response with it Use caution and slow your speed down and go around that curve just because volume is light doesn't mean it's safe to go that much faster Elsewhere in the district we're looking good on the southeast Southwest freeway no problems on D.C. two 95 or interstate two 95 or the third street tunnel In Virginia on 66 the crash that we had under the Vienna metro is completely gone no issues on 66 anywhere between front royal and the Roosevelt bridge the beltway is looking good that earlier disabled vehicle is still sitting by itself but not blocking anything as you go from the Springfield interchange towards Braddock road 95 southbound is looking good It's the express lanes pointed southbound until 11 o'clock And over in Arlington it looks like police have gotten the lines at the COVID testing centers under control but in courthouse Pentagon city and on Columbia pike near four mile run which is where those centers are you do want to look out for increased pedestrian activity Lots of times folks will be dropping people off and then folks will be dashing across the road So please please take your time through there We don't want to add to any of the hardships that are going on right now 50 east pound In Maryland is looking good as are its 95 in between the beltway's.
