Joe Biden Mischaracterizes the Push Back He Is Getting
"But right now I want to go to Joe L. Barbosa Biden right before he left for his, um, swinging soiree in Delaware, his little vacation that he's on until tomorrow when he comes to Manhattan, and by the way, Manhattan's already a zoo traffic is Crazy in the city with the U. N General Assembly got all the globalists in town ready for their annual meeting and Joelle Barbosa Biden will be joining them. He had some words for us some words of wisdom, um, trashing some GOP governors. I want you to listen to this, but we're facing a lot of pushback. Especially from some of the Republican governors. The governors of Florida and Texas are doing everything they can to undermine the lifesaving requirements that I proposed. And some of the same governors attacking me or in states with the strictest vaccine mandates for Children attending school in the entire country. Now hang on a second before we go on. This is very, very classic. Biden. These are the same people attacking me. This is that nothing is a relaxed the problem here. Is that every time somebody disagrees with what Joel Bob also, Biden says, it's somehow an attack on him. This is not an attack on you. This is people saying, Look, I do not want you to tell me what I have to forcefully put in my body number one. I do not want you to tell me that I have to put a mask over my child's face. This is a big deal to a lot of people because For some younger kids up to third grade. They can't seem lips moving and mouths moving. They don't learn how to make sounds correctly. And I just learned that recently. Uh, I had no idea that that was a thing part of the developmental phase of a young student. So I think Joe Biden's mischaracterizing the pushback that he's getting,
Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas Promised Open Borders
"What he said A while back, right? This is the same secretary Andrew Mayorkas. That said, Listen. We're not telling you not to come to the United States. We're just saying Don't come right now. And this was at a time when the pandemic was really like, out of control. And it was for like, five minutes when he was saying Don't come right now. Right. It was it wasn't as forceful as came alive as the vice president, who when she said, she said, I'm telling you don't come right should have got that one. That's a funny audio, but She was more forceful in it, and she took heat for it. Mayorga says What he wants to say he doesn't take heat for anything. But so that's what he said today. Now he went on today and I think we have the clip from earlier this year in March when he said, I'm not saying that the countries don't come right. We are not saying Don't come. We are saying don't come now because we will be able to deliver, uh safe and orderly process to them as quickly as possible. Oh, safe and orderly. Yeah. Do you really think somebody saying I'm just saying Don't come. Just don't come right now, because we want to make this safe and orderly. Do you think anybody's going to listen to somebody that talks that way? I know I'm not. I'm just okay. Excuse me, sir. Step aside. I've got some border crossing to do, And that's exactly what they did, because he's literally opening the door. He's opening the border, and he's doing it at the command of the commander in chief, Joe L. Barbosa.
Joe Biden Creates an Identity Crisis Within the Progressive Democratic Party
"You know. I know how this stuff with brains works. So Biden comes out there has been a career politician, his whole life. He knows how to be a crooked politician. He may not know anything else, but he knows that so they know they can come to him and say, Hey, President Biden. What do we do all he knows exactly how to undercut people. He knows exactly how to lie directly to the camera and say what has to be done even if he's losing track of everything I'm around around him. Now. I'm not saying that To excuse him, and I'm not saying that I don't think that he's evil and nefarious. It's quite the opposite. And I'm saying, I'm saying Joe Biden knows very, very well. That he is doing bad things because he's in a game where you have to influence the balance of power. It's politics, you strong armed people. This is how we do it, and he's been doing it. For half a century. So if anybody knows how to do it, he does. So, Yeah, I think he does things in a ferry ASL E. I think he does things out of muscle memory because he's an old school politician, right? So It comes as no surprise to me that he's now getting criticized by his friends on the left. Because they he's embarrassing their brand. They're supposed to be the progressive brand the brand. It says No, we're doing good things for America, right? If you like your doctor, you can keep them and he says things like Well, you know, I got every legs are blonde and the kids. They put their hand in the pool and they rub them up and down my leg, and I learned about Roaches. And he says all these crazy things that you're like What? What are you saying? Men so Chuck Todd comes out and he says, You know what? Whether it's the border Afghanistan nuclear deals, covid Biden has a big credibility crisis.
Buyers' Remorse Runs Rampant Among Biden's Former Cheerleaders
"It's pretty clear we have a bigger problem now than we've had in years and this is a these policies have turned it into becoming a magnet. So he's got a lot of work to do incredible chunk taught who is a reliable cheerleader for the democrats for the bite administration just rattling off a number of crises lang them at the feet of the current encampment. Let's are somebody who believes in unbiased reporting the creator of just the us dot com john. Solomon we played a cut in the first hour from cnn. Talking about might have multiple crisis. Then you have chunk. Todd you have a stephanie ruling others is something happening in the mainstream media. John i wrote a star the other day that said that buyer's remorse starting to set in even among people who embraced by nearly the media is currently wanted them and chuck. Todd was a great apologised for joe biden. All astier into the beginning of this administration as was cnn and msnbc we also see an enormous amount of buyers remorse from our foreign allies france. Great britain grave concerns about the way joe biden conduct. Things and i know he just said in the clip there that it's key issue of of credibility. I think the american voter see something. Different isn't just credibility its competence. We don't blow up people who are innocent with a predator drone and call it a right to strike. We don't open the border and bring cove into our country. That's just the competence question. I think the bigger issue that joe biden's presence he's going to with long-term is is he. Competent president did we vote for someone who sounded good but can't
COVID Vaccines Required for Navy SEALS Under New Pentagon Plan
"Have breaking news from john. Solomon of just the news that will be very very impactful to our capacity to actually wage was even when the generals done what they're doing john. Welcome back to america i. What is the story that you sent me. Just literally seconds before you came on air literally just broke so we have talked to lawyers and a minister representing several hundred navy seals. The most elite special operators are military trains in fact that caused a half million dollars just to train single seal so these are people put a lot of investment and trust in and they deliver with extraordinary courage and all the operations we know about there being told that if they don't get the vaccine the covert vaccine they will no longer be able to play with their seal team's essentially they will be sidelined and their seal cares will be over. This is very important because some of these sales already had a covert so they believe they have natural. And you don't need the vaccine and others of them have a religious objection to they. Do not believe that there's enough data on the safety to inject it into the body and they're asking for more time they're not anti vaccine because they take lots of vaccines as part of their deployments. They're just concerned about the safety data on this particular vaccine and re pentagon's response according to two lawyers and one of their ministers is that if you don't get it you're not going overseas again well. In van case capacity to deal with terror threats will be drastically diminished. We don't have unlimited supply of seals. John so this. This is a very serious on Impact upon our capacity to keep americans. Safe

According to the Taliban, They Defeated the United States
"Talk about afghanistan. God fa- sekine piece of real estate. it's never functioned. As a modern westphalian nation ever even under the monarchy the nation. That was home to bin laden and his al-qaeda training camps now twenty years after september eleventh is again under the control of our friends let of corrupt politicians that want to play nice with the west like qatar cy but under the control of people who want to kill you yes. The taliban quote unquote the students. The tally ban the students of islam fundamentalists. They don't hate isis. The same breed is. I says isis may want to be in control but they're all fundamentalists jihadis along with al qaeda. Now they have eighty three billion dollars worth of equipment and training that you pay for. And how are they sending that across the muslim world arab and non-arab. We defeated america. Caller Chris Describes Losing His New Job Over Mask Mandate
"You're on with Dan Bongino. What do you got for us? Hey, brother. I wouldn't thank you on behalf of the special operations community veterans for what you do. You're a true patriots. We appreciate it, man, Chris. Thank that means a lot to me coming from you heroes. Seriously. Thanks, brother. I appreciate that. Thanks a lot. What do you got for us today? Hey, Hey, I just want to give you a real time Update on how Joe Biden's illegal mandates are affecting disabled veterans. I literally just got fired about an hour ago from my job over a mask issue. Yeah. I moved my family halfway across the country to catch it for one K upon my wife's wedding rings sold my guns. Everything to come here for this job to train our 82nd airborne medics. You know young medics on what I did, and I have a disability blind by my position from the villa. Saying that I cannot wear a mask. They would not accept it. So they fired me after my first day of work. I I and I wish I had some. I don't I don't even know what to say like this. This story is getting more and more depressing. Don't go anywhere, Chris, but I read these stories. I hear them. I read them. I read the messages during the break and Chris were descending into total complete madness. I mean, think about this, a guy like you with your set of life skills, right? You bring something extremely valuable life saving skills to the table to teach to others. In a really tight job market because they're paying people not to work and you get fired for not putting a face diaper on your face where they can provide to you no substantive evidence that will do anything to mitigate this crisis whatsoever. That's where we are right now, Chris, that's where we are as a country right now.

Netflix Wins Big at the Emmys
"The emmys were last night and netflix. Dominated the show we look at what series one and wide net flicks is the king of tv right now. I'm oscar gonzales filling in for roger. Chang and this is your daily charge. Joining us is seen at senior reporter. Joe salzman welcome joan. Thank you all right. Well let's break down the show last night be who are the big winners in and one who who won. Let's put it that way. Well we're talking networks slash service. Netflix As you noted was the true winner of last night it one more emmys than any other network at one more enemies than the next two companies combined and it was the first time in years that hit that it outright beat. Hbo and the number of wins at tied. Hbo once in two thousand eighteen but really hbo has been the king of any statues perennially for for years. It was also the most emmy wins that any net tied cbs way back in the pre Streaming pre cable dominance era. Cbs one forty four emmys in one ear. And that's the most up until the only network. That's one that many up. Until this point. So in terms of the companies i wanna flex was was clearly out ahead and then partly. That was because of some of netflix is shows the crown one At tied with the queen's gambit for the most emmys first single program they both want eleven and then among others you know there are a lot of standouts from scrappy your upstarts from apple d. Plus for example ted lasso. They're sort of sports workplace. Fish out of water comedy series won seven awards total Including big awards for comedy series and three acting awards last night so it was a big night for streaming services and a big night for some Buzzy rituals that may be people hadn't heard of before

Haitian Government Asks Biden Administration to Pause Mass Deportations
"The haitian government is asking the biden administration to pause mass deportations of migrants back to haiti amid a surge of haitian migrants crossing the rio grande river river. Nbc news correspondent. Morgan chaska got exclusive access to the southern texas encampment. These migrants are now calling home. These are the men women and children calling the shade of texas border bridge. Whole the group. Mostly from haiti. Now number nearly fifteen thousand strong. They've come here with little hoping to claim asylum and turn launching a massive mission for state and federal agencies secure. The border provide and process every single person over the last few days we moved approximately thirty three hundred individuals. We expect that number to increase in the days ahead. Our crew granted exclusive access to visit with those whose futures remain uncertain. This woman named yvo telling us she's been here more than a week and his barely eaten for many. They're only nourishment the food and water handouts. That can't come fast enough now has been only a matter of days since this group's swelled in size underneath the bridge but as we push this direction you can see that there is already a small city that has formed here in the shadow out this rich plants from the riverbank being used in some cases as temporary roofs as children playing the shade. Everyone trying to do whatever they can to stay cool. Massive accusations along the border began this morning. Some planes flying migrants from san antonio direct to port-au-prince haiti others are being bused to other processing locations. Such as paso laredo. Those flown home today returned to a country still reeling from a devastating earthquake. Deportation flights only expected to arrive in the coming

"Like we're making a lot of promises tonight including one to come home talking the kids but guess what daddy's already done night think about this. I think it was the summer of twenty eighteen. Twenty seventeen twenty eighteen when brock had the title yet again and he wrestled a series of matches against people. There were just setting him up for later on and braun. Strowman was one of the guys. He wrestled and that match felt like like. You never thought brown was gonna win of those people. Samoa joe was the only one who i felt should have beaten brock. Leser and everything from the way that they built that program which was a one month program where he starts choking out brock and putting him to sleep in the middle of the ring and almost beats him came clearly. They booked him to come. The closest of any of those people just tells you sort of how he is and he was one of those guys. It took him ten years from the he signed with tna to get to wwe like officially put out a roster somewhere and and according to legend he was someone that was recommended to vince. Multiple times as someone to hire get on the roster. But that vince considered to be just another out of shape. Samoan here in quotes in the script. But we don't verify the source allegedly button from way too. Many people come on come. A- i heard about richard gere and joe from a lot of people but we gotta hit the alleged he was like he's not related to the rock. Sorry i don't think there's a place for you here so we that in two thousand eight hundred eighty does come to an xt wins. The title twice has a series a great matches. Because he's samoa joe. I think this was the best run that he had. It is time a wrestling. wwe's main roster stuff wasn't bad it just didn't there's no once you get an annexed. I think you have more room and part of that may be smaller pond but part of that also may be booked differently or combination of the two. Because once you get to. Wwe it's just there's too many people get in line. We'll my memories of him on the main roster say memories as though it was like but it's all promos like i remember matches in annexed. He and his promo remember the whole package whereas in on process off i mainly remember. I'm not saying he didn't have brilliant matches. But it says promos sing out to me and when again we talked to louis nation on the old graham and a bunch of people said the same thing. No-one said i loved this match. And i'm sure there are people out there now screaming but i did love x match but the the thing that jumped to everyone's mind i and it was the same with me his promo work for one of my favorites when he was cutting a promo on leslie and turned around. You look at.

"Way worlds heavyweight title belt almost as if daring angle that cross the line. Look at that look at the. I go to wonder if even it'd be emulated right now. I think he was the world champion Yeah that's what their feud was I mean the viewed was obviously kurt. Angle wanted to come wrestle. Samoa joe but joe was the champion at the time which was like they were smart about that. They immediately put into main event. It feels like all these guys. Almost any guy you can think of has. Some signature feud with samoa joe at some point in their career. Even guys like pong. Did it probably ring of honor like those other smaller promotions. That he's one of those guys like each can't have a bad match with them. When did each of you first become aware of him. I wasn't watching tna. But i've heard of him on. But i think it was when all of the big hubbub i appreciate it a lot of his work but it wasn't until like he started coming over to wwe. And everyone's like ooh joe's coming over joe's coming over now it's like let's go ahead and do some more research into guy and then i like immediately. He came on. And i fell in love. Yeah secondly i wasn't watching tanna in the two thousands but he was of my very limited knowledge of outside wwe. I was aware of which speaks volumes in. Its in an of itself. 'cause to break through my wwe walls at that point yacht to begin talked about you had to be pretty good and he was on who when he came over. I was made very aware of how exciting it was like. It was my brother may have picked up the phone call. It might not have even been a text. That's how excited at. Bobby picks up the phone. It's a big deal. But i know people will like super pumps and it just made sense right away because like you say his character is so solid. He is the opposite of carrying cross. You know who he is. From the moment he walks out. His music is perfect. His expressions are perfect. Every word that comes out of his mouth just works. I mean. I know we're going to talk about is promo work. But he can touch on the most painful real personal real life issues and still make him work and he can work with the most nonsensical rubbish. Poor mrs steals and it still works.

"Responsible the mr. He's just one of those guys. Joe is one of those guys who i came too late. I knew he was. I was aware of him mostly through time in in tna. But he's one of those guys who you just believe every single thing he says and every single thing that he does and it just makes his character bulletproof he can lose a million times or win a million times and still the character is that character will always work because it's him it some part of him that he's figured out an unlocked and is able to communicate in a really really strong way. We all live in his secondary reality when he's cutting a promo or he's in the ring or staring at someone and that's special. Not many people can do that again. Like the rock and an l. a. night but even the two of them maybe the rock more. He's so intense that it's hard to believe that that isn't who he is all the time. That's how good he is. That's real real real special. Yeah i believe everything. He says yeah he could literally come to my house and tell me to do anything and i feel like i would probably do it. The you know it'd be like you wanna come down to the river watch. Some kids burn a car. Yeah shaw like why not. You know you're going to get into trouble and he's not gonna get in trouble. You're the one that's gonna get into trouble. She mom's gonna find out and you're going to be like joe said we should go down to the river and watch those kids not cau- well if joe toge bridge we do it and you'd be probably samoa. Joe yeah we already know which body part upon which i would like him to cut a promo so it's already been covered. The cat woman part. Yes that man can't do it. But samoa joe could do it. We're is it. Joe is one of the as one of those guys who made a name for himself around wrestling smaller stages throughout the country but then in two thousand five he signs with tna and he gets a tv audience and along with christopher daniels and thousand a few others essentially helps build their x division which becomes the the must watch part of the show. And then he feuds with.

It's been seven years since i became an and i'd never seen much bedlam. Think it's time for change. What was your feeling seeing him at the end of that show. I can't see a middle aged british man cry. You have to do that to me. I have only been in therapy for ten years. You can't ask me to watch a man old enough to be my father karai on television and expect me to just like that. Be the end of the show off. Annex t like that was it was way too much. I took it very badly. I genuinely was up on this over like a cat. go garlic. what's he what's he doing. In that moment i forgot wrestling is not real genuinely was like what the fuck. What the fuck is this nonsenses. So well done it worked. Congratulations everyone involved. You've got me you've got me okay. Yeah it was definitely a bummer. Summer weight and in annex t. Yeah it was the same thing. Like i was definitely Touched as any time. A wrestler cries danielle cries. Anytime arrested tears up that like i'm but i credit everything. I cry at movies. I cried avatar discussed. The music will get you. I'm like that person where the music and the emotions will get yourself. I see someone start crying. I will definitely the waterworks will start. So i teared up a little bit. 'cause i'm a pussy. I thought that was a great moment. And i thought his promo the next night about how he lost control and and just going through his journey with the brand was just the i mean. We talked about great promos of his the other week. This is just another level of lake of real emotion. He really went and found the truth in what he was saying so he started crying again. That outcomes carrying cross to bully him and and then chad dick and then cook great. He'll work like they're doing. Maybe mad for it really works and it made me so mad really upset about it. I fucking hate that guy. I want to say yeah. It's the first time. I feel like i really got carry across though 'cause for a while i've just been like what is what do you do besides be big and this was. I want to say one of the first times i was like. Oh now i get why i don't like you. It's not just like now. It's it's clicking for me like in the ring like oh yeah like there's like an in ring reason for me not like this person instead of being like. Why are you on my screen. All the time what do you do. I feel adam cole. Promo really helped. I know people who look folk. The coal promo made him look weak. It made him look like he's just like they've made him look good what he isn't good. No the adam cole. Promo shed light on the truth. Which is that. They make him look good when he isn't that good and yet somehow he's still champion so let's lean into that. Let's lean into the fact that you know. He's not as good as he thinks he is but he also kinda knows that and yet he still champion so he gets to walk around smuggles vooc. He thinks he's the hardest man in doncaster. he's not the hardest in doncaster has somehow managed to attain that title. Even though we all know it's not really true and this is the carrying across. I think i can actually get behind the one. I hate so much. And he knows. I hate him and he thinks it's funny. I've been within yellow though like you need to figure out what chunky does but this was. This is a very clear. Communication a character and then outcome samoa. Joe who turns down the job of general manager. Chooses to be the enforcer instead with the rules that he cannot be an active competitor and that he cannot physically assault someone. Unless he's provoked. I he backs carry cross out of the ring just with like a single sentence and a staredown he chokes out adam cole backstage. How lublin and i'm joined today by my fellow members of the nation of conversation the rattus woman on the dannatt danielle radford. Okay you can't you start to song and then you don't tell me what you did. The rest of the lyrics would have been. Oh batman will tell you we're also joined by the celtics says the was the celtics are ever welby lindsay calc. I i love him so much. I just watched the running five documentary anyways a lot and it made me happy because there was a happy one talk about it more later but i love him. Thank you yes. Sorry another pay per view this past weekend because It was seven days after the last one. You wait till next week. When i'm only two weeks you think on sunday i'm gonna watch sell. No i will not be. I'm on vacation. Two weeks off no out. We had annexed takeover in your house. Twenty twenty one complete with todd pettingill. Here's my all right. i just go to. I just want to come out swinging on this one. They set up this room. That looks like a recording booth but it is like his head is in a fucking bucket with the echoes. Going on and i know the. Wwe production crew is really good at their job but it was like hold on. Just tell you what blade eight that it drives me fucking insane as a group of people who have all at one time or another recorded podcasts. In cupboards it was a little upsetting wasn't net. They weren't even trying. Yeah i think my favorite part of the whole thing and it was a good. It was good. Show was beth. Phoenix's goal tuxedo one hundred percent one hundred the best those the best part what what matches in particular stood out. The danielle what was your number one moment in the show it was my one but lee martinez was pretty good l. La night and camera. Grimes was pretty decent as well. I i mean overall. It was a pretty good card. It just didn't. It wasn't hitting on all cylinders for me personally. What fell short avenue. Now all of the matches just seemed a little. I don't know if it was under energy or what it was but it just felt a little wake but it's also i think ending at what was it. Five dudes many just white dudes just five white nudes. Well mostly full four dudes and then that one big dude that one who just came in at the last minute because he couldn't hang with the other dudes but he's a champion so that makes sense in wrestling logic doesn't it but it's still annex t. Yeah so it's still like a good show. It's just maybe was just me. And i was just like not feeling it because of it's been a little warm leads. What do you think i am agree with. Danielle i enjoyed it. Fell a little flat to me. I don't know in particular why i think i mean. They had a lot of new people on the card. And i think we are in that bill period again with an x. C. which is no bad thing casino. Everything has a season. The women's matches when the new rule women or at least women who haven't been there as long on the main event as often. I did ask the nation of conversation on instagram. What they thought of the show and earth to make us just read my mind and sorry into my soul when they said they were impressed. That pete done didn't get one spot of spray tan on that white gear. And i've gotta give him props for that because that's that's that was also in my thoughts but you nice of him to a england football teams by gear and then to lose much like the england. Football team will probably within the next couple of suckers happening people's so yeah i enjoyed it. I enjoyed a lot of match and then the rest of it was fine. I i feel a little bit of both your feeling and our friends on instagram and part of it is is yes roster building happening. The other part is we're kind of on the road to their summer takeover. So there isn't going to be anything huge. You just sorta mixing worth that point. Where we're there scientists pouring liquids from one beaker. Another to see how they react and see what happens. And sometimes you get great stuff. I thought the ladder match was was great. I don't think anybody's gonna gonna put it up. There is an old timer. Because they didn't jump through a flaming bag packed five teams. They both really committed. And it was super fun. They are to who really want to put on a good show and they are just complete pros and i loved the opening match to you. The sixth tag. That was yeah. That was really fun. I loved that promo. That was so great. What about canada. Look if you go up and down the roster you're not gonna find bad matches it's just. There's nothing to get excited about. Because nothing here is the blow off to a huge feud the ember moon versus raquel gonzalez. There's no way in hell in bermuda's winning that match doesn't mean they're not going to have a very good match but she's filler for whoever they want to be an actual challenger knacks and that's not any shade on number. It's just like you know the pattern. You know the wrestling pattern in general and just get frustrated. Amber moon always seems to be in that position. But that's what it is now. I feel like she came in from being new. An amazing to being veteran. Who makes people look amazing. An totally skipped over the pot in the middle way. She gets to look amazing. You know i. I think there is an issue that a lot of people have and it's not something that isn't overcome those my opinion as as a fan is that the personality doesn't match the persona so who she is in between the ropes has nothing to do with who she is when she puts her mouth on a microphone. Talks words bailey. Was the same problem. And then she turned heel and now she's found in another level. It just takes time. It took her. I mean how many years until she could cut a good promo just to get away from that for a second. Because i want to briefly talk about the ladder match which enjoyed a great deal. What i liked so much about. It was the story. And i know i've been comparing la night to to the rock in terms of promo ability and i'm going to extend that to his storytelling in the rain. Because if you watch the specially a lot of early like like rock. I quit matches. When he was in his heel persona. He would talk and find little bits that that you could hear on camera and one in particular for la night. Was somebody cheering for cameron. Grimes in the front row and go. You like cameron grimes. You wanna meet him and then throwing him into the wall just like a great little bit of story in a match. That had really great stories right down to cameron. Grimes basically losing the match. Because he wanted the gallbladder as opposed to the one that he could have climbed to just grab the case now and then. Of course it's dumb but it makes sense for the character. If you if you plot out the story the line of logic for each person in the match that one. I think lines up really really well and that's not always something that we get in matches even very good matches. I don't really well done and it was released on. The storyline makes total sense. They fully pushed cameron into the face role for this match. By the time we got there and the million dollar bill be on face like you caught. Have the.

"Is about foreign policy. The state department has sent its strongest signal. Yet that joe biden's administration does not plan to roll back the trump administration's policies on cuba. Now if you can recall back. During the obama administration. There was a loosening of the so-called embargo toward cuba which allowed for americans to travel to cuba for instance which also kind of opened up some possible trade opportunities with cuba. And you know lifting the embargo and the sanctions that come along with. It is not just great for americans who want to freely travel to cuba. But it's great for the cuban people who have been crushed by us sanctions as a result of the united states government being incredibly on brutal to any country that has a political system that we disagree with after the communist revolution in cuba. Of course that's when the. Us government decided to take a hard line approach toward cuba with the embargo and honestly it hasn't changed their system of government. It hasn't changed the way they run their economy But all it has done is crushed cuba and the cuban people when in reality they should be able to run their country anyway. They like without the united states meddling in their business now state department. This past week listed cuba. As among those quote not cooperating. Fully with united states anti-terrorism efforts renewing determination. I made in two thousand twenty. So this is what trump did in the tail end of his presidency. He decided to essentially list cuba. As one of these countries that happens to be the enemy of ours because of the cooperation that they participated with countries like venezuela for instance right. So what does this determination really mean. What is its actual impact will. The determination was made under the arms export control act which requires a report. Every may listing countries barred from defense exports in sales with you with the us with the us. Now hold on. Let's pause for a second. Because i do want to address that. I don't care about weapons sales to cuba. In fact i would prefer to end all weapons sales internationally. I think that it's been incredibly destructive and is only destabilized regions of the globe So that's not my concern. I want to be clear about that. But understand the determination while it has an impact on weapons sales to cuba is really about Maintaining the embargo against cuba and the unfriendly relationship that we currently have with cuba. So cuba from So obama had actually removed cuba from the list. Back in two thousand fifteen The statute is also one of the three laws weighed when adding countries to the state sponsors of terrorism list. Something trump added cuba to in the final days of his presidency. Okay so cuban. Cuba cuba as a state sponsor of terrorism. How exactly. Because if. I can recall if i actually ignore the american media propaganda about cuba and actually take a good hard. Look at the government's actions doesn't really seem like they're spreading. Terrorism are sponsoring terrorism. In fact it's quite the opposite. For instance during the pandemic cuba has done quite a bit in You know ensuring that they're taking care of their own people they develop their own corona virus vaccine Outside of you know the pfizer. Maduna johnson and johnson vaccine that we're using here in the united states in fact. Why don't we just quickly go to this clip. That explains just how much cuba's been able to do for. Its people even with the us embargo crushing the country doctor matter this rams the plaza of the revolution polyclinic and news. Just about everyone in the neighborhood. Every day she makes the rounds to check on covid. Nineteen suspects who've been quarantined. Took those who come from abroad. Like florida resident bill gates upon cuba. She was given a covid nineteen test. Then she and her entire family put under strict lockdowns adopted checks on them every day on the day. She got a second test. And now dr galvez has come to tell her. She's in the clear online persona a. I'm impressed that despite cuba's resources they've been able to control this pandemic so well also. The people are very aware of what's going on and what they have to do with. A population of twelve million cuba has had fewer than.

"So small note. Because i can't help myself. The phrase fight like heck is just don't do it. Don't use that phrase because it makes it seem like you're not gonna fight a fight like heck is like. Yeah i'm gonna give it my best shot here but anyway i thought it was interesting. That for the first time biden felt the need to say something mildly aggressive in regard to two democratic senators. Obviously he didn't name them by name. But i think it's safe to assume he's talking about Senators kirstin cinema and joe manchin. Who have really served as a giant obstacle in getting much in the senate many of the Legends many of the pieces of legislation that get to the senate passed by the democratically controlled house they get to the senate were democrats of course have a very slim majority with kamla harris's the tie breaking vote. And you would need all democratic senators to agree on voting in favor of legislation if it's going to be done through reconciliation if it's a budgetary piece of legislation but if it's any other piece of legislation for instance the ford. The people act which reforms are elections gets money out of politics. Secures our elections By ensuring that voting machines aren't connected to the internet by ensuring that there is a paper about all of that stuff needs to pass with sixty senators in the senate. And that is impossible to do when senator mitch mcconnell The former senate majority leader has made it abundantly clear that he prioritizes fighting biden every step of the way so the only thing that we have left to do the only thing that senate democrats can do in order to pass important legislation like the for the people act is by either reforming or doing away with the senate filibuster which again requires sixty senators to vote in favor of legislation. Like the for the people act but unfortunately we're still dealing with mentioned in cinema that under no circumstances are they willing to do away with the filibuster in fact just today cureton cinema said in a in a video. That's now gone viral on twitter. That i'm a daily example that bipartisanship is working. How exactly has she made that assessment. I'm very curious because in order to claim that you are a shining example of how bipartisanship is working. You should be able to note what legislation you're able to pass bipartisanship. I in a bipartisan way. Bipartisanship is not working when you have republican leadership like mitch. Mcconnell for instance saying that his priority is to fight biden's agenda every step of the way there is not a culture of bipartisanship in the senate. There's no culture of bipartisanship even when it comes to something that honestly all lawmakers should be able to agree on which is doing an investigation into what happened in our nation's capital on january six. What were the flaws in our system. Why do we have white supremacists in police ranks for instance in capitol police. Why were they posing with some of the Capital writers on that day like these are things that should be. debated investigated discussed but kirsten cinema. Couldn't even bob. Her couldn't even bother to show up to vote on nine. Eleven style commission to investigate happened in the nation's capital. Now i do want to point to one thing that biden said that is hilarious to me mostly because the mainstream media fact checkers immediately jumped on it. Because it's honestly easy picking. It's low hanging. Fruit biden says that These two senators tend to vote with republicans more often than democrats. Obviously that's hyperbole. obviously that is not necessarily true. But i do think that biden is trying to touch on something that is important to keep in mind in regard to this whole myth of bipartisanship and how democrats can successfully work toward bipartisanship. No both mansion and cinema have Basically said we're not going to do away with the filibuster. In fact we want to do things in a bipartisan way. So you have. Joe.

"That it still hasn't happened. It's gonna take a while of carelessly. Had that moment so anyway we must say that there are many jews appointed to joe biden's cabinet so yeah like i say i had makarius thrill away seeing Common harris up there. Because i was imagining what it would be like but in a way we don't need to imagine there's a jewish connection of dicamba harasses husband the so called second. Gentlemen doug emhoff is jewish. But he's more. I think more substantively more importantly is the number of jews. Joe biden's appointed to key positions. Now like i say with this sort of florida. Jewish couple in my mind a little bit. I am wary of this game. I'm aware that they can be a little say. How many jews and you know people did this. Even with donald trump who had steven mnuchin treasury and gary cohn as his chief economic adviser but nevertheless it is striking that there are a at least ten. Prominent jews nominated to key positions. The forward of jewish paper was joking. There would be enough numbers to have a minion in the west wing. That been getting around awhile but you can go through. The may is they're insignificant places. He's chief of staff on clain. Twenty lincoln secretary of state. Who's made a huge thing. In his in his testimony when he appeared before the senate foreign relations committee for his nomination to be ratified he's straightaway talked about his stepfather. Samuel pisa who was really a very prominent holocaust survivor. Tony blinken talked about that. Janet yellen at treasury the attorney general. He's merrick garland who has denied a spot on the supreme court. Joe biden brings him back as attorney. General alejandra my your us homeland security secretary ever jews richter national intelligence. Wendy sherman is deputy secretary say on and on it goes are more names. They're you know you'd have to be a -tarian in your rules you'd have to say women count as a minion but if you make that shift if you'll reform more conservative and you allow women to take the million you definitely have a million in the west wing now. The question is whether it matters a tool. I mean in a way there was. Donald trump did have a couple of jews around incidentally small prince's on that i was not it was amazing and people pointed this out that donald trump used to appoint cabinet members to sort of type and and so you know he's housing and urban development secretary was black and he's head of education was a woman because he could imagine a woman as a schoolteacher. You imagine how urban development that's black people and so similarly people notice the He's to jewish appointments. Were to deal with money. It was the treasury secretary in the you know economic adviser he sort of played to that needs to say didn't he..

"Actress cranberry listeners. Today we just like to tell you about a really crazy. Show that we've discovered from wonder. The show is called Joe Exotic and the story is just a lot a lot to process and really a lot to believe I was actually listening to it in my car and I drove right past my exit. Your was it worth it. I mean did you get some more stuff that you wanted to listen to. I did I never heard of this guy before you brought him up and his life choices are certainly not what mine would ever be probably no one else except maybe for Joan self but at the same time really entertaining yes. I agree for Joe. Exotic life was as zoo. Joe Lived on sixteen acres in the Oklahoma Prairie Lance. His given name of course is not exotic. But that's what he calls himself. Joe was able to scratch out a living from a roadside wildlife attraction that he ran. But you know that's just the beginning. Hear this outrageous tourist attraction housed babboons alligators and big cats. But Joe's life was as much of a side show as this haphazard zoo. He definitely likes some sideshow theater in his personal life as a gun toting. Spur wearing tiger breeding gay cowboy polygamist with a mullet show was absolutely a real character. He became an eccentric local celebrity. Who freely handed out condoms with his face printed on them. Joe Definitely had his own brand of crazy that somewhere along the line. He pushed it a bit too far and things turn very dark very quickly. Listen to Joe Exotic and you'll find out how a love of animals turned to hatred and murderous revenge. You're about to hear a preview now of Joe Exotic in this wild podcast from Wendy. You'll meet JOE himself and you'll get a glimpse of what life was like inside his zoo and inside his unusual. That will take you there. It was the winter of two thousand fourteen in a little dance hall in. When you would Oklahoma a wedding was just getting started okay. I'd like to welcome you to a most unusual wedding. The room was decorated in hot pink and Tiger Stripes. The audience was a mix of humans and animals was several people there with different kinds of monkeys. They were for the most part in their strollers. Serve on their MOM's lap for in their shirt. Jacqueline Thompson was among the guests. She watched three men in matching hot pink. Cowboy shirts and black jeans walked to the front of the hall. Today we have gathered to witness the Union of Travis. John and Joe Joe said that he always had to boyfriend's Outta time he never just had one. Joe Was the groom in the middle. He had a chrome pistol hanging from a leather holster around his hips and bleach blond mullet. His real name was Joe Shrimp Vogel but he was better known as Joe Exotic in the book of ECCLESIASTES. Dis Bet you know this the we are even better for triple. Braided cord is not easily broken. Joe's fifty one years old one of his husbands to be in his late twenty s and the other was just nineteen. And can we have the rings? Fleas Jacqueline and the other guests watched a small eight gripping white. Satin pillow was carried up to the front of the hall after me. I give these rings as a Joe slipped the ring on one fiancee's finger and then on the other. You may now kiss after the wedding. The party moved down the street to Joe Zoo there. Joe was in his element climbing in and out of cages while a camera crew captured it all for his Youtube Channel at one point. Jovan Jacqueline over to bear cage handed her a marshmallow and told her put it. Between Your Lips I put in my mouth and I'm like you know hesitating to put my face through the bar and then he grabbed her head and shoved it up against the cage inches from the bears mouth and they're just all of a sudden. Grab the food in. His tongue ended up going down my throat and all I remember is getting a mouthful of sand and slobber it was like I was gagging and he was just laughing so hard almost pitas fans and they got that on tape too. It was a wild celebration but in a quieter moment. Joe confided something in Jacqueline. He was haunted by a recent tragedy he says. My champ was poisoned Joe. Tall Jacqueline he suspected the animal rights extremists. Were behind it as well as the recent deaths of Wolf pups and he was afraid they wouldn't be the last and just started crying. You wrapped his arms around me. And we just balled together. Then Joe said she was looking for someone to provide security to keep his animals safe at the zoo and to keep him safe over the years. Joe had made a lot of enemies but there was one who kept him up at night here. You just always call her names like crazy bitch hateful bitch. It always something bitch. That woman was Carol Baskin. All talked about was that she won't leave him alone for five years now. Carol had been threatening to shutdown Josue and destroy all that he had built. He said he needed somebody. That was really good with a gun that could take her out and now joe was ready to put an end to it and I said junior the sniper. He's like why are you have one? I said actually I do. "You disappointed you at the office. You need eventually. But before that it's time to hear from Joe South. He's been sat very silently in the corner of the studio the entire show so far just waiting to speak. You're right that he's not get me he's doing one thumbs up what he's doing. It's a second thumbs up as lovely to say. So yes. I'm about to speak to him right here right now in this studio If when we speaking it sounds like we're obviously using different microphones in a different room on what was Kalia Different Day That's probably just an audio issue. Probably actually your full in some way. It's probably something to do with your phone appropriately brain so if it sounds like I recorded this a good week or so ago in an entirely different environment. That's your full and at the end of the day. I accept your apology and forgive. You don't beat yourself up about it. We all make mistakes and you have certainly made a few. So here is Mr Joseph. He's feet away from me Joseph Kelly. I'm aware Howie I'm very well. We'll get focused. Thank you very much. let's face it in the studio the entire show so far deadly silent art work. Can you open up for me? Hey business you just sold Rubik's cube quietly the back exactly and it's one of those big ones the twelve by twelve. That's incredible now Joseph. You're you're in the SIMS. How does that happen? As it's another one pinch yourself moments where it makes me feel like is my life a game of the Sims innocence. Whoever's playing me is is really really good using some sort of crazy cheap. It's amazing is my last full circle. Because the first uploaded online gaming channel was me playing Sims. And I've done very. We've been my most popular series on that channel and since it's been around for over twenty years now which how many games can say that. They've been around for that long embiid not successful for that amount of time. I've been playing. I feel it came out back when the money cheap was Columbus Rather Rosebud. That's how that's how knowledge that. Oh Yeah and my first. My first house ever built on the SIMS. I felt this huge mansion of using using the money. I Made Chester Bennington from Lincoln Park. Because he was my my hero back then a musical hero so I made him in the House and the House is so big. I can never find him. Yeah that really liked dates. It really does. Yeah and so. That was my first experience the Sims. So now I've always done very serious throughout my time playing a game on my youtube channel and a now been asked to be a downloadable character for the game which is lovely because the amount of people that watched my series of auto tried to make me in the sims and stuff but now an official you in the Sims. Say That I'm a video game character. Incredible Nice did you have much impact on how he looks. I did actually I did. I did get a little bit. Like Madame Toussaud's in a way they they they look at you they K- they didn't go to the Whiz kids that sims and they build you as it comes back to you then you say oh. I don't think I'd wear that. I think I'd go for a different style. Jackie o this kind of thing and they come back with another version and it really makes you question actually like of law thought about my hair color because of because I class myself as kind of like a brown light Brown. Yeah say no no. You're you're dirty blonde or you're you're a mousy brown more or blunt people say that some people say I'm blonde. I'm like this no. There's no way I'm blonde eighteen when I was a kid but not now but that's one of the great things about the Sims and actually the master of the campaign that goes along with being the game is that you can make yourself how you want. And that's why I've always loved about the Sims is that you is is a real escapism game. You go in there. You can quit your however you want your house to be you can you can make yourself heavy. WanNa be and you can celebrate. That is there is a place where you can be whoever you want. And it's a nice thing to do to do that. Which always been a big fan of so. Yeah she's so nice. Nice Little Fit. Definitely you mentioned a campaign yes. Let's hear a little bit more about what that's all about so the campaign is basically is all about being able to be yourself in this virtual world which has been around since the start like even twenty years ago. I always Simmons has been way ahead of its time being a place where you can create who you want to play for example myself always been Scott. My as passed the law homeowners. Play myself the same our making an earring. 'cause WE LIKE. I can't do that in real life so now I can have an earring and no one's going to judge me. Yeah the campaigns about about that and about being able to make yourself whoever you WANNA bay no matter who you are you can be yourself and it's a place of celebration and Zero Judgment Nice. If you ever wanted to hit job south talk passionately about the Sims. Yeah this one. This is obviously as he said. He played the Sims loads. Yes you have a favorite way to motorist him not as much anymore because they happy with his Chrysler softy on the Sims nowadays except for the I did a series big brother series much. I bill made a lot of youtubers put more in a house together and the fans aside each week who I made it. So they vote for who they want to stay in Robin who they want to go and the person unfortunately the least amount of votes would then go into solar derek tree in a house where move the door and they just sit there in their own their own mass rape comes along and get through to them which but before that it was always my favorite way was to remove the ladder from the poll classic death and because then what happened was every morning shower a toilet. Make breakfast if you put them in the pool at night you can pick their face. They come back fully rejuvenated. Sue is actually a a nicer way of getting them fresh for the next morning without having to go through the process of making breakfast. Everyone making sure the kids go to school on time and not sleep and all that kind of thing so they just they wash in the pool. They go to the toilet the pool. Is that Paul lovely? I once killed one in a pool but then it came back as Zombie. That could happen quite scared. There's so many so interesting. The amount of This game is amazing. Because there's so many little things they put this game that there's a full online encyclopedia this game and there's so many little. Easter eggs in this game is so many things it even. I'm still learning now. Twenty years on from it came out. And it's all things I'm learning about like if you eat assert a food on a certain day then you will have twins in the game. There's there's little things that they put in the game and was great is it's been like a field like any. Sim Series. I do. It's been a real collaborative process. 'cause my fans who watched these series. They teach me so much as well as people that play the game. Watch my stuff such a nice community as well. They are very like I'm not the best player in the world learning all the time but it's nice because they helped me a lot one zero by the way Jay. If you do this this you'll make your life ten times ease and perfect is a nice little If there was very collaborative which is nice as well. But you've got an ace in the hole now because if someone criticizes you can I am. I am actually a sin. Yeah I've I've Not Quite mastered the language yet. Don't get moving away from the Sims. Just for one moment you're up to a lot lately. Drops a little song a daytime video. Yes where did that come from? It came from my office and as a as a sailor going back two years ago we released a song cooled. You want my sister. I think it was called. We made an hour as a as a joke and put it out there. As you've been Cami Chris I'm GonNa now is a popular thing around at the time and it just it really well. Let's do it again so last summer. We filmed it a new one and twenty four hours to do it and then just didn't get around to putting out because of very the projects and stuff. I was busy busy boy and then it finally went out. He finds much video film for Really. Really budget filmed on cameras. Zero zero money into making. That looks good. Though we have for the vow to make it look like I think we've tried to keep anything else it wouldn't have really dodgy make a really great job on that and then we put out their just desserts do and people loved. It was a nice little thing. Didn't too much criticism with the old voice of did okay and we've got another song ready to go but it's more about like we're doing it for fun is not. I mean I'm not trying to climb the charts and be right up there with the storms eason yet share. And that's not what we're going to see like an album. I didn't think so. I think he's GonNa make ten tracks developed to the thing to down. We're halfway there and but it's kind of like when I started youtube. I never started thinking right. This is the business plan is going to do. It is all. I knew nothing about business when I first started youtube. I was simple Thatcher on a roof thinking. I'm going to be hit some seventy so anything that I made of Youtube was pumped money. That's literally what it was and so over. The years has now become a job very fortunate to have a job so I think the best thing to go into everything is to treat it like a hobby and I think you enjoy what you're doing and at the moment like we're doing it for fun We're enjoying it so happy days if it does well it does well if it still having fun with it. And that's the that's the main thing fair-play but could be a world tour on the on the rising tension imagined. Say it now live. If you'RE GONNA IF YOU'RE GONNA make into allow him. What would you call it? Of course Ann. How on Earth manage this have we? We go away with this one sock Real Life Sim- similar song I would do. I think going back many years ago. Pixie Lott actually did a change. One of her songs in this is this is my sims knowledge She Changed Muhammadu. Change Mamadu into similar going way back so I'll do a Pixie lawn that one and change the now into in similar it can be done. It could be done and says well at I. Twenty twenty this random question. I'm asking people. Twenty twenty is the year of the rat memes about rats at the moment right. People seem to be coming round on them yet misunderstood creature. I've always not got the fear of rats. To be honest. I grew up in the countryside. A bunk bed right and grabbing the countryside. You do you live in the countryside. Not Go for a stage where you've got rats in your house. Sure maybe it's just not us by at a bunk bed quite close to sealing and I remember the days or used to wake up to some scratching above my head in the loft and it always sounds a lot bigger and scarier than they actually are but realistically that I get people that are scared of rats. A not scared of squirrels and I'm like the honest. A squirrel is kind of like a rat with bushy tail is not that much in it so. I think it's I think it's just a thing deep psychological thing of like this this thing when you're a kid you associate. Ratu being scary. Halloween thing spices snakes spiders. Snakes I've found him quite interested in them to hold a spider. A snake was funny. You say that I've got so your say but no I think I misunderstood creature. Just a big a big mouse. Yeah a really small horse. Yeah exactly exactly well. That's that's the correct really happy to hear that. Best Sim stuff. Thanks so much talking to us. Thanks I say us just just you just Mary. I wouldn't have any of the way. Ben Thank you and there he goes. He's standing up. He's taking off his podcast headset. "There friends. I am actor and dancer Timothy Shalini the prod of safety gotta you may remember me from laws except set of Youtube News. What I took your precious host Benazir hostage along with these little audio whipping boy. Joe Well I wanted to keep him prisoner. In My Volcano Lair. What realized he was still contractually obligated to produce more episodes of these silly podcast. And if there's one thing ostensible its contractual obligations. They are the glue that holds society together. And I'll say this is a deadly deadly main. Cy added a massive heart. I have gifted him a small podcast microphone and granted him permission to make one more episode before I decide. He's eventual fight so enjoy and remember. I am Shallow Bay and I was in the movie. My name is l. now on with the show everyone panics. They're just recording a regular episode of the show. Definitely not been held prisoner and It's not mighty school already. Told HIM UNIT PRISONER. You can lean right into that. Don't have to pretend is normal. Oh fine Yes I'm being kept in a cage volcano warm. Let me tell you warm but nice change from London. I don't know why we're going ahead with all this nonsense because we have Joe sugg on this week's episode and I have done more than enough to alienate new listeners with all Timothy. Shallow may not since the at the top of the show. But don't worry young Mr Joseph will be on the show later on. He's he's in the SIMS now. That sounds like a joke. But it's not a joke in the Sims so I chat to him about that. I shot it to him about rats. What else about his possible future music career as a very exciting interview? Stay tuned for that..

"I guess the I mean none of us are well. There's some exceptions Joe firestone and Joe Sky also maybe just maybe. I'm not the great actor but also like a lot of the people that we cast on. The show aren't like a lot of the kids in the choir their kids from the Milwaukee Llc area that no we don't want a bunch of child actors who sink perfect we want the kids to be them selves and sound like a Acquire the when we did this new season we needed a beauty salon and We've found not only the the perfect beauty salon. The kind of reminded me of the one from my own grandmother got her hair done but the owner of on was such a great personality. Interesting Person I mean. She spent their entire fire career talking to people all day long and finding out what they know and keeping them entertained while she cuts their hair. You know who better to cast than the the net. Sometimes it makes things tougher to but I I think these decisions to shoot in real places US real people and Let the unpolished of go. Just it Kinda adds up and hopefully grounds a show on a bunch of choices says and also Me and Marty scouse pull the excellent director. Don One hundred percent know what we're doing so we just kind of embrace a a bunch of the flaws of the show instead of trying to split them out include them and I hope that that's fun like Joe Firestone's not call like this but in episode eight of last season She walked right into a doorway. And I don't know anybody really noticed but stuff flake leaving and shots were she walks into a doorway or where I Almost trip or something like that you just you know. Don't don't bother take in amount because that's what people wanna see. People run at the doorways. I think are you proud of this. Show yes we put Everything we have into it. I know it's not like the the most polished show or anything else but kind of thing that we we said going into it as we don't have the budget or I mean fifty million dollars an episode but Sorry Bad Joan I'm just tried the says every everybody on the cast and crew we trying care as much as we can about the show and all the decisions in the editing and every step of the way from the scripts of we just try and care more a a about the show or as much as possible. Because that's you know I'm not the smartest so we can't make the smartest shore of even thou right funniest show is Had Danny McBride is doing that but I don't know I think I hope that those intangible qualities kinda carry across and just that they'd carrying in the from from everyone is just people we'll be able to sense it when they watch it or John. I'm glad you're proud of it. Because as much as I love Danny McBride and I do I think I think your show is my favorite everything on DVD. I love it so much and I'm really. Yeah for real. Thank you absolutely for real. I mean mandal. Laurean is fun too. Don't get me wrong but no going hard on baby. Yoda to know I like. I like baby Yoda. I like mandal oriented. I I like your show better thanks. That's the honest truth and I'm I'm really grateful that you took this time to be on both I I I really appreciate it. Same thank you. I hope you like the the season because I I think it's free Special word the places that goes to the finale at the end of January Roy. I'm excited sighted. Thank you Joe. "Calm down do no. Don't let this isn't funny okay. It is serious areas to him. Here's try I need a win. Con romalis aesthetic. Is You know you've worked at Imola A lot. But his aesthetic is much more intense than yours. How do you decide how do you decide when there will be A sharp joke moment like that on a show that is almost entirely consistent and gentlemen town. Oh I guess just by putting Connor in the episode. Is that good yeah. He's so funny in there we we've serve really similar interest EG Bite is actually based on something that he does for real at breakfast now. Why don't we just kind of put it in the script and do the step by step and that's all there was to here? It's it's a balance of the you know went to hit on in really hard jokes and went to kind of resist But Yeah I don't know having connors just discreet discreet. As a writer I think he wrote on my favorite episodes. This coming season about going to the grocery store need not even in it but you can tell that. There's some really sharp jokes at hand stuff. I never think of because of stuff that hits Outside of my mic comedy tone. That is just very you know straightforward Funny I don't know on the other way to describe so you started doing comedy when you were eighteen in Buffalo. which is your hometown? What were the what were the circumstances? Don't think about my my Starting out in comedy too much things as they haven't taken the time to reflect back but it was. I thought about the seller week. It was stand up comedy classes at University of Buffalo. I took it while I was just. Maybe I guess Sousse between junior and senior year of high school and is topped by Alan. Try Bell who was a original. SNL writer he a Rhode Island Garry shandling show. And he's a great writer now a lot of done a lot of great books but the Me Unlike who's not pig less than ten other people but nothing wrong with a lot of middle aged people like looking to you know getting the comedy so at the end of the week. That was my assignment to do. Stand up set and I did it and I don't think it was very good. But the Allen who's very nice and It was good to get to do it there when you started doing it seriously. Was it in New York City. Yeah during that a little bit in buffalo but Tom I realized that I mean I wanted to do it. Hopefully fleet for a living someday in the it's not It's pretty tough from Buffalo. So onto do is in in. I knew I had to move away. I didn't than it was. It was good bill out of my my closest friends through doing stand up in New York. Had this really great is the. I'm glad I did. It was tough to start here but I. I'm very happy that I did. Was it a difficult decision Not just is to move to New York but to decide. Yes I actually do want to do this for a living especially being in Buffalo. Where as you said you know you can't do it for a living in buffalo floor is very difficult to do it for a living in buffalo here on news item on peak corny but is really kind of a dream? I knew upon to do it and so when I had the opportunity I moved. I put my head down live really cheap and I kind of weird. We're by said like I just focused on this and not worry about other things or you know a put aside a bunch of other first off to just work on focus on comedy news so great it was like the coolest thing just to be Kinda like well. We're working on the show when it we'll just kind of I guess just focused on doing a good job but the the one thing that is such a treat to just focus on comedy and just think about comedy all the time I still do. This is something that you didn't know when you moved to New York that you learned through Disciplined I use the the biggest thing that is a bunch of things is just how to do comedy at the pace that I wanted to. I'm not I'm not With your quick thinking side I figured out how to do it and taking it at my own own pace Hopefully without boring the audience and has kind of the the the goal over time that must have been a very difficult Paul thing to learn to do on a New York stand up stage. I mean I'm sure you were playing A lot of rooms that were relatively friendly friendly to that. You know there are plenty of great You know so-called rooms that you can play in New York where people are are there to see he something interesting. But there's also you know a huge tradition of fast-talking slightly belligerent. New York comedy and like to step on stage and own the stage without matching that energy after something like that is on stage strikes me as his real challenge. You know what I mean. Yeah it makes it is fun. I'm kind of glad that I did. Start a New York for their reason acres. There's some someone said earlier. Might be the reason why the show works on. All swim is that there's something louder and faster coming before that when my show come Amman or if I go on on stage in New York during his show and the person before me was like I love sex. Here's todd the here's how I like to surge. Swear and then I go and I you know I do about My favorite piece of Pie. I there's a good contrast than getting to the to keep the interest. I mean sometimes the audience would be interested. Uh of the bad but you know how do I get my writing to the level. Where am writing stuff that can hold the attention the entire set? Not just you talking about My favorite piece of Pie. But how do I take my pipe it to the next level make it ten minutes and quietly entertaining for for ten minutes and then the next guy comes on and goes yes I also love. Excuse me I'm sorry to swear in there but then you know and then I guess it Kinda worked in a nice way that they thought about the piece of Pie breath maybe I will raise the actual bit when we get done with dinner view. What was the? What was the first thing that you remember writing that really work that you're really proud of I think it's online but An those people in Buffalo Kit for obvious reasons by Joke about the buffalo bills. About how they they they lose for the so that the families in the area can bond more and I remember. It's like a on paper. It's like a few pages. It's a six minute bit and it's it ties together. A lot of stuff and I was very proud I remember. I spent a lot of time working on that on paper deeper and then testing it on stage when it came together. It's kind of a bit. That is hopefully funny and surprising. Also maybe make make people feel a little something. I don't know I've not sure about that. But it seems to and kind of leave the spaces in there to let let people think about their on Sunday afternoons watching football or going on drive with their family and They're kind of putting those things together. I think that bit in particular kind of combine. The things that I'm still working on now on Youtube if anybody's interested I just search Buffalo Bills Joke. It is titled Buffalo Bills Jack. I was about to mention that I was watching it before we started talking. Oh cool yeah not so relevant this year. Going to the Super Bowl Jesse. Well we'll see what the San Francisco Forty niners have to say about that when they both get there all right. I mean if the bills playoff game those off but I shouldn't say that I should say the buffalo bills are when the Super Bowl. This year. We have lots more to get into with Joe Para. Don't go anywhere when we come back from the break. I'll ask him how he makes the show feel so grounded and real and whether he's proud of it it's Bullseye for maximum fun dot org NPR.
