Three Wins in 4 Years Is a Record
"James Good Morning. Good Morning Steve. Thanks for having me on hope your weekend. Well it did. It did and I thought I saved I wrote I write down as many selections. It's always tough for Breeders Cup because then the paper gets all gets a little a little sloppy and sure enough here. I'm looking now and yeah I do have it. Actually there we go there we go home. You were a Vino guy and and bricks and mortar and and then spun to run so yeah your share of winners Too Key around I thought was on higher power. Though I didn't have you know I got you written down for Dino. I took higher power stirred Flavian Pratt. What's up on them? I'll tell you play the Heidi wrote one favorite Donna Duluth below she. The brewers Juke juvenile given up Phillies runner-up but he had a win. had four seconds and fourth earners. I thought that was a really a great performance by him and You know he has the Kentucky Derby win on his resume junkies like have that really just A good showcase for an upcoming star in our rank agreed and and I tweeted on Sunday. I've discussed this a couple of times this week. His record is stunning. And he's got people would say. Oh He's only got three wins. WHOA WHOA three wins? Thirty eight mounts and this is only his fourth year as fourth year riding his sixteen seventeen eighteen nineteen at-bats. Ah But another fourteen in the money finishes and then a handful of fourths and fifths I mean the percentage is frightening. I mean considering considering the level of competition really outstanding and he gives he gives every virtually every horse. If he's got horse to work with he gives them a chance. It's definitely and you know I mean I think Santa Anita and hosted the Breeders Cup eight times previously and and and he was writing a lot of california-based debased horses and one of my takeaways was definitely that this this year's Breeders Cup with completely unlike any out in California before I mean just uh-huh it just. It really started on Friday where the first four winners had all raised it Aqueduct Belmont and by the end of it I'm you know I'm looking at it it it. If you'd looked at the charts that Saturday at at Saratoga you wouldn't be surprised to see our ad or ts in four races Castellano and Rosario win into each and then Jose or ts Manny Frank Ricardo Santana All winner races well and Joe Bravo and that's what happened. They took twelve to fourteen races and and all twelve of those horses that race in New York this year now very strong on that on that front and ah not to say that Just had the conversation with Nick. Lock about the euro's and there were there were solid efforts and solid board hits in addition to Iridescence win but The you know the and there were solid performances from west coast sources to bell. Athena's Bella Fina. At under under certain circumstances dances might have won. The united almost looked like a winner hundred yards from the wire There were there were plenty of of solid performances from every region In some cases. Look at Vino. Vino having been into California. I think counselor a lot. You fold in folding would ask. Did you know getting there early with Matali Actually Navarro to I mean in Navarro got there early with a chance. A Lot A lot of times the a Lotta Times. The juvenile turf sprang can be like locally based sources can do all your top two in that race were both based in California with Peter Miller and you the one hundred and thirty five bucks. That's right that's right. That's right his second his second in the race in three years. I'm just looking at the list to spun to run from Philadelphia. So you get you get a a regional kind of a B.. Track player are sharing sharing holiday for new. New York's thunder run actually ran in a mate. Nice at act backer. And the winner but I mean the parks and mom Sharing base at Far Hills at far hell and Maryland bred. That's a couple of times Toga. Yeah yeah everybody everybody got their Lixin. Actually when you when you kind of go through this And I'll just say I I came away. I mean granted. I thought the four big stars coming into enforces with the serious horsey. Our aspirations Bricks Mourner Corner Sister Charlie and Matola two of the four one I think it really does come down horse a year two bricks and mortar and Matola Louis. But I'm giving the edge bricks mortar. I thought it was fantastic campaign. He had been a mile or previously. Before you know getting hurt and undergoing that surgery and I like the fact that Brad Cox I mean Brown ran him. You know he never ran he. Random and six different courses six different states. You went from Florida to Louisiana to Kentucky Hockey to New York to Illinois and the California To win a mile and a half for the first time in his career so to me. He's a deserving of the year well and and driving home the point about the mile and a half for people that because they always beat all the same types and didn't stretch himself then no he did and and you know the there was even people that were incredulous about him going the mile and a half so you know that that score extra points Without a doubt yeah definitely and you know to me One of the Mike Smith that made the point After a couple Oh. He ran second on a pair of privet favorites midnight zoo in Omaha Beach. And he's made the point that he'd right like those races back because it was hard to 'cause over that track track but to me it was more so that those horses were caned on the rail going into the first turn. Blue Prize was tenth early. You know tolley Holy Arosa could be five or six minutes off the pace. But they're jocks really at. That did a great job keeping them in the clear and I really thought midnight. These to you You know continue just to be in traffic through into the far turn. And when she got out she finished great as a case I mean they the great job on on TV and other highlighting it where I think of a blueprint. It's got the jump on her because of the trip the greed and it and it it also. It should be noted for people that are you know insisting that the track nobody could close well. WHOA that's not true? which is simply me? Just look at the chart for the distaff. What do you mean nobody could close at that? Just you know Omaha. Beach closed closed In in as well came from often and others whitmore made up. I mean it wasn't going to get to the winners and the the exact pair But he closed Idiom really had down below chicken that juvenile fillies and that's when the track was absolutely at its worst deepest pissed most impossible right based on based on the figure and in fact. It's funny because yesterday. Paul Matisse was talking about how difficult Friday was to make figures and then it was echoed by Jerry Brown on His On his experts board board. Somebody brought up. Paul's conversation and Jerry also echoed that the way the track changed from the you know the middle part of the day to by the time even the the juvenile boys ran so typically you would if the juvenile of the males run more than two seconds faster than the phillies. You'll get say their way better than the nose Philly but I do think it was. It was a track getting off faster later. And I. I'm I'm not down on British idiom or Donna Boise at all even though that right they came home. I think they should be still terrific runners. And you know it's it's hard to gauge coming out of the juvenile being real adobe guy Exactly what that means going forward so into court definitely Nice Horse Court Vision You know hasn't isn't had much success at Stud but he's bread You know fire. Classic types with that pedigree of his female family has a lot of stamina influences. It just doesn't have much class. You won't find any stakes winners really in that immediate female family well your final the final takeaways. My final take away so I just you know I you know I was. I thought you know it was a tragic end McGowan crew. I mean it was just a Really hurt to see that happy at the very end After a thirteen of the Breeders Cup races have that happened in the ashtray and and racing. Definitely I think has some issues and concerns going forward. the people in the industry maybe do a better job messaging but I still remain. Optimistic is the horserace fan about the future and I was. I came away like in the Breeders Cup. I thought there was some great performances and Looking for work once again the next year very good well. We're looking forward to the action this weekend give us some thoughts about Churchill had terrific card even today yesterday and Wednesday were good and of course the Commonwealth on Saturday the feature the Grade Three Mile and a sixteenth. The three year olds on the grass. It is an absolute war. Some thoughts about what's been going on while everybody was paying attention to Breeders Cup and and we got to look forward to this weekend. Yeah they had three stakes last week and In the MEA mischief flatmate go for the sale and and look good. She loves Churchill Downs Multiple Grade. One winner there in the Divine Queen got off to bad start. Art Never Fire in the In Saturday stakes chill Lewke and Sally's Kirwin breakers Swin She tried the Indiana Oaks folks earlier. This year didn't run good for Dale Romans. But she had one or last two allowance races by like about fifteen lenz combined and ran a rug. Good Rice debris greet Brian Cox's

"It's a maiden special weight on the me on the turf. I took a look at <hes>. I took a look at it because I was looking at the lead to having done the stakes I'll be I'll be using a combination of and really in no particular order because it's that kind of race <hes> one four five eight at the thirteen gets it so I'm GONNA use one four five eight thirteen in the final leg. <hes> was always looking at at at pick fours and fives. That's just what I do so one four five eight thirteen thirteen in the in the last night and then mess around stakes elections <hes> yeah that only can cause a really nice card and of course one of the biggest their biggest day of the year Arlington Million Day just about a month away five weeks away and <hes> yeah should be fun caught out there looking looking forward to seeing a late today to jude you know had a tough start to the year. A lot of people thought maybe she was <hes> offer game and maybe it was time to turn her into a mommy but <hes> I don't think she liked that idea. Because in the floor Lorde the LE- <hes> she kinda showed some scientists who was back yeah she really good raising the fluidly blue price had trouble trip and they were too far away from each other loop rise getting to pounce today. That's that's a really good matchup. It's GonNa be interesting to see if blue price can turn the tables on late Earth late just keeps right on going and heads towards the Breeders Cup with a little steam behind her to you see Joe Bravo going to get back on pure blue price and that was a there was a potent Combo when they got the spinster degrade one spinster last year a pet down at keeneland.

"Of a concerto mayor one the one of the nine furlongs over. The course the blinkers go on many Franco's. He rainy Franko aboard. All. All all good things pointing to to Moretti bourbon war who beat him in debut came back to win a nice allowance break. His main anyone nice allowance race after breaking one nice allowance rates. Call stream, you know. Luckily as to blow out scores down at parks, our brain trust is off the private purchase by Gary barber. Marquess Jose Luis Cano climbed aboard Dale Romans. I get I get all of it. None of them have too-narrow like not that radius. And you know, the one race on the fast track is his best race. And he's going to get that fasttrack tomorrow. And like you said you he's got plenty of speed. I don't think he's necessarily a needle tight. He's probably better on the front end. But he can take a look to the inside and see what Frankie Pennington and luckily do and I think really with yeras can go from there. I like the fact that he has to back to back races. I made my topic. I'm gonna be spreading in here. Giving other wars. Sir. Winston was good with blinkers on last time. He kinda idled a little bit. And I don't know if he was just getting accustomed throws blinkers, but that was his best race by far. He's by awesome. Again, a fleet Alex Maher he's gonna run all day. He ran one time on the dirt. It was his debut going five furlongs. I mean, I'm not gonna with that pedigree. He's not sprinting. I'm gonna give him a little look I'm gonna give ready. A look and tax. Look, I'm gonna use all four of them in the naira Benchley pick five us all four of them in the cross country pick five the topic is going to be the number seven. Not that Brady in recent number nine the grade three withers down at the fairgrounds. Nelson j Menard memorial overnight goes race number nine seventy five thousand on the line five and a half for a long on the turf get imagine for the condition like this. You're gonna get a big field, and that's the gotten he got eleven. Yeah. Yeah. It's a it's a wild race as per usual turf sprints oftentimes wild Oxford, comma, four straight wins in a row. A loss fish force. And then once he three three more in a row and then a fourth and then another win. This sort of freak. He's one nine out of twelve got got to like him a little bit the four contributing. A medallion Doro mayor. She came from the clouds last time under Joe Bravo gets floor on route trip because I think Joe Bravo's now writing fulltime at Oaklawn park, you know, that was a does a big performance. Brad Cox, and then she's all skeet. She ran kind of a clunker last time out, but that was on a yielding. I don't know what the turf course is gonna be like down there. But if it's firm, I think she'll run much better for Joe sharpen, Adam Beskids us. So those are the the three I'm concentrating on. I think Oxford commas pretty salty, regardless of of whether she runs dirt turf, whatever she's the best best villian race. I agree. It was really hard for me to get past her. In fact, her the three best races of her life. And it's really not even close have been the tariff sprints. And they just went RAB. Tommy was when grab that little fifty thousand dollar stakes race at delta downs. Last time going five eighths out of shoot one turn this Philly is a five specialist in fact on her. She's run. Twelve times in her life. Her. She's eight free going five phones, regardless of surface. So this about five and a half should not be an issue that if the defeats have come going six furlongs and six and a half wrongs six and six and a half along the about five and a half should be no problem. Oxford comma for me in recent number nine vagrants, Nelson, j art remorse. Overnight stakes..

"He wrote her and he wrote a Florida point ago, and he felt neither horse like the track. She's you know that so much rain that was really disappointing. You know, I got the opportunity to sit with Stella say most of the day. And and then we're pretty disappointed in the weather. Just. This update for everybody that had so much rain coming into the race and into the race that day. I mean, they had like seven inches of rain. It was just crazy. So a lot of didn't handle it. But, you know, the Philly that say, you know, you know, she's very very nice. Yeah. I gotta ask you to before. Let you go galleon mast who seems like the gelding is is as good as ever as it may be maybe better than ever. He really he ran such big race called her GPS. So you know, he was kinda coming due for a break it'd been awhile since he'd been off. So we thought that'd be a really good time to give just a little bit -cation in a fashionable up. So e may not be back until the spring. But you know, he's he gives you a hundred and ten percent every time, you know. And you know, the only thing that makes him a little tough to deal with his he's gotta be time. Perfect. Every time. You know to Sony thinks he won. And he's ready to go getting bath. I love it. Well, you have at the end of the year last year and has passed right over half a million in earnings. Yes, he's been he's been a great to me and the clients that wonderful people, and they've you know, they've left me alone with him. And, you know, do whatever you want and was time vacation. There's okay, let's do it. So that, you know, great people. Well, and then the most important question the how about how about Natalie just had a birthday. She's doing great. You know, she's got about eight right now. She's in my barn at the other end. We had that we had boot Kuta Dickey out. And but she's got she's she's got a few nice little horses down there. She's gonna gonna have a really good summer. You know, this meet right now, it's a little tough. But you know, she's, you know, Mike francesa's host with her. You know, and and she's got a few few client, Sandra news horses with her. And I she's got a bright future. So I saw she was in the show ring the other day. I I saw that. He oh, hell, yeah. Whether show fishing and show, and that's, you know, no, no flies on you guys. Well, David bring me to pull a few in and have fun, and we'll see you. I'm sure soon. "I think Barbara thought, you know, he would do great in Kentucky, and, you know, don't speak done a great job with him as far as a stub crew goes. So, you know, I think you know, and you know, he he'll get any kind of any kind of mayor. He wants the very nice alerts, and you know, I'm blessed to be able to train this. Well, seismic jolt for Bob Edwards and Stonestreet partnered up. And and they've they're making a habit now of getting together with some good horses. And we'll watch for seismic jolt for this wail y'all so had ladder than bombs in the kitten's joy on on Saturday. Got a check. Yeah. He ran really good. You know, it's a little too short for him that he'd be a little happy break into sitting back and making one run, you know, and because that track has been kinda speed by on the turf, you know, I asked co oh to you don't be more in the race. And he didn't I ask? But you know, I kind of think that the host flat out just a little bit down the lane. So and you only got a couple of links for for everything. No. Well, that's a good. You know, he ran a very good rates. You know, if we ever get not petunias such them out at you know, like amount eighth. I think he's going to be a little better Colt. Well, David looking at looking at the numbers and going back to two last year little bit your forty four wins away from thousands. So there's going to there's going to be a the kind of a watch that's going to pick up later in the year that people will be countdown for you that the probably about October November. Yeah. That's hope it sooner. Right. I don't hear that great. We haven't really fun this year. We got a chance to win a bunch of little steak. So we had a great year. Well thrilled at the barn. A couple of couple of three year olds that be back be back soon and any unraced three year olds yet that we haven't seen now. Now, really waiting again. Here we go waiting for the babies to come in. It's it's baby again. So, you know, always always, you know, a good future when we have a bunch of those in the bone. What about that that Venda Montana? Avenida 'em, Indiana. She I put him in I entered an allowance rates coming up. And honestly, I didn't check the entry fees you got in. But. She's a nice. She's a nice baby. She really nice three world. She really is. She last time Charan, she got a excellent break, and she's gonna be really nice baby. Also, she's also owned by Sandra knew who owns loud bombs. Well, and this. Two nights young hoses with me. Well, and let's go back in fact to the the sugar swirl surprise wedding. What's next for surprise? While you know, we're actually looking maybe at that the Barbara fascia. I think it is that in. Yep. Yeah. Probably in that may be her last race. You know, it's about time for her to, you know, get out and be a broodmare. So, but she's you know, she's been really good to me. I wasn't crazy about what happened in that race. She's she's not the kind of hosted wants to be on the lead and she jumped so she jumps good out of the gate. Didn't wanna take it away from her. So, you know, I think she kinda flattened out a little down the Wayne, but she came out of it, really good. And that's probably where we're looking at next. And I got ask you too about the Sandpiper. Try love sick was put in a position of chasing fashion. Faux pas and and ended up just Jason or around. Yeah. That that fast. She's a nice villi. I gotta give the guy a lot of credit tonight force. But you know, my Billy bolt Pokka came back..

"We're back. Little twenty four the our Andy surly at the top of the hour. Right now, we go out. I think somewhere in the the Gulf of Mexico if I'm not mistaken and. Joe Bravo, and David FOX who who you know for people that are supposed to work at the racetrack in the mornings. I I can't tell you. How many times I've called Bravo or FOX and they're out on a boat somewhere fishing, you guys work. What's the story? That that is work, isn't it? Vichy? Yeah. I'm always who's dark day. There's no dark day Tuesday people. I don't get it. I and. Did you have to work any this morning? Joe? What's his story? Oh, yeah. Horses. I don't know about that. All right. All right. You you. You reached a certain station in life. I guess at this point. You had you know, by the way, congratulations. Yeah. Your second best year ever last year top eight million in earnings for the third time, but just an exceptional year and that included going to New Orleans and and having a great experience at the fairgrounds writing. I call for Mike Stenham. Yeah. I was really blessed to have some really good people behind T V, honest. I mean, you can't do this game alone. It's really tough quite to have good people circle us and keep us a every year doing this thing. It's great. The season down there, really, you know, starting to roll. And we've got the Lecompte coming up talk a little bit about the season past and and what you're excited about for twenty nineteen Joe. Anything about the springtime right now. You just watching all these two year old trying to graduate and two three year olds. Look at for next superstar out there. It's really fighting year to spring, and that's what we're doing here very grams. But we're I'm about to wrap it up and try to go to Oakland for their two thousand nineteen spring. Meet I had a couple of good people ask you to go out there and check it out, and I never really spent much time out in Oakland before some recited about it. They have a pretty good nice three year old program, and it should lead. Right up to first Saturday nicely. Well, you know, I in addition to to the plan for for the spring and the early winter here. Going back and thinking about last year, you know, you were involved with a couple of moments and a couple of horses performances. Army mules effort in the Carter, which was one of the year's best efforts by any horse. And even though she didn't make the finalist group of for the eclipse, Joe I happen to voted for blue prize as Joyce. I thought that, you know, her her season deserves recognition it didn't happen, but she had a very complete year. She's a special filling with a lot of talent. I'm really excited to hear that she's going to be coming back this year and nauseous on a great job bringing her around and really excited with a little bit of winter break that she had she's going to be excited to hit the track. Again, this spring. Well, looked up out. His army meal is pretty chilling listening. Hi. He was really played in about the horse ever running into cigar Ma that day..

"There is when it comes to the resource. Whereas he's he's in the well, actually. Johny where are you? Are you get onto warm or or to Florida? He's well, that's a good question actually, where John spending the winter curious now that you mentioned it, and I I'm I'm curious myself. Well, Jess season underway. And they'll be following you and Christie and everybody day to of the sale and the season. Boy, once once this starts, there's no stopping we got a little roll right into the two year old in training sale season. After we after we transfer some more bloodstock here the next three or four weeks. In Florida before you know it for the Gulfstream sale. Exactly. Absolutely. And you know that. The road March March doing it the same week again is the same timing is I haven't looked at the calendar at the same time being twenty seven. Right before the right before Florida derby that week of the Florida derby. Yeah. Yeah. That's the thing that that that has worked that that you know, that that the sale the Florida sale kind of floated a little bit from the Calder days then up to Ocala for a little bit. And then settled in here at Gulfstream, and and this this date on the calendar does make does make sense with people focusing in going down to two Gulfstream for Florida derby week. Well, Jessica, I appreciate it as always. And we hope it's a great twenty nineteen for you and everybody tedium. Thanks, steve. Appreciate it. Not at all just MARTINI. It's never too early for a MARTINI when it's MARTINI back after this. We'll go out somewhere. Speaking of speaking of New Orleans and fair grants. We're gonna go I think out into the Gulf because Joe Bravo and David FOX who. Who never met a fishing pole? The they didn't like and they're out somewhere fishing. So we're going to catch up with them before they they hit international waters. Joe pravo? David FOX joins us next FOX, of course with that. Very nice seismic Joel from Saturday for the one the lime house and the can't throw Philly. What a find out what he's got going there. And what the plans are Tyler Gaffney own was aboard. And of course, Joe back at fair grants for a second season. So we'll we'll talk to them. We haven't done this in a while the gotten gotten them out. On an expedition back after this. "So good problem to have the coolmore team. Well, it will be with us tomorrow sit for Nando. We'll we'll let we'll let sit make a recommendation, although maybe maybe he'd like to sell the recommendation exactly to to to the the valley toil team. Well, we'll. It will certainly watch with interest. How they you know, how they play it. Going forward and. Just reading actually just looking back at your piece, and you and Christie, and of course, Kristie fresh off of the eclipse, the media clips announcement on Friday, and and I'm gonna blank on the partners on her writing partners. They Patty wolf. Yeah. There you go. Yeah. Congratulations in the public forum. I'd like say congratulations to Christie well done. Absolutely. And the funniest part of that to me, which I tweeted was that her piece was their piece was on was on cosmic one. And of course, while cosmic one was being carried bison yada, Glenn Cain for one and a clips writing about or so this cosmic one has won twice as many things as she as he ever won on the racetrack. Very funny. Right. A cosmic one story for next year. Right. That's exactly. So I can get an eclipse award. Okay. I'm on it. This is pretty it is it is rather humorous that that that he's you know, that he's managed to carry the day for for, you know, for two different sets of of a clip sweater. Looking at at at the rest of of the mayor storyline. Certainly Jane Lyon who really had a chance on Saturday morning to be one of the finalists among the breeders, very clips. And we discuss that yesterday which president she takes home the Galileo seven hundred fifty thousand talk about the out consign daughter of Galileo with the war front in the belly. That was actually when we talk about some of the player players that aren't there saying mine actually isn't in Lexington. So she had somebody bid on the phone with her, and she got the Galileo, the it's a nine year old mare. And again, the the the young mayors who are well covered. This mayor was info is in full to war front, those were right popular. So that's that's one of the areas is a great strength in the market right now is for those young mayors who are well covered. And Jane line makes a habit of. Picking up those she's got another good one on her hand. It's a full brother. She's carrying full to great sakes, winter fleet review. So that looks good for her. Another wise moves from Jane, she's putting together quite the boats broodmare band very much and with the runners of providence this this season. And then moving in. Moving into twenty nineteen with MacKenzie and. Game winter. It's amazing. And of course, she's got the American Phero sister. The Jason yesterday that she's campaigning or self. It'll be interesting. Do we know that we know what she's caring stars born is the war front affiliate Colt. We know that I did not hear they didn't make an announcement. So I I don't know that they know. Because that'll be that that will that also is is a story line because if it's a Colt you'll probably sell and if it's a Phillies. Yeah. Probably campaign it so we'll follow that fatale Berra. Fresh off the the racetrack and seven hundred thousand and looks like she'll head to Japan..

"We're back at the races. Little past fifteen. Into tuesday. And we'll talk to Jessica MARTINI in a minute. I got a pass onto very sad piece of news that I assume for those of you the follow on Twitter and saw on Saturday late Saturday, Alex wilder and the NTR a team had gotten word. The John Rowe had passed at the age of sixty and last February, and I'm sure we'll pay tribute to him at the NHCD in a few weeks. John's story was unbelievable fighting cancer liver cancer and dealing with. The death of his son. And he put in a brilliant run. Just a brilliant run at the NHCD to make the final table of finishing ninth. And it was so. Inspiring. Talk to him days later, once you know, once you've gotten back to Chicago, and and. Have a chance to you know, kind of absorb in decompress from the NFC experience, and you know, was Arctic forum and and. You know, as he as he said at the time, the biggest thrill of his life other than you know, marriage and his. The birth of his children. Truck driver. And you know, I. I'm just a a. Kind of the kind of person that. Everybody. I imagine. I know that the table that they the guys that were at the table where we're just. Astounded by the his focus and and inner strength to. The need needed the Marshall too. Be successful at the contest. It'll it'll it'll be part of. The NHCD Lor. John. Rowe hearts, go out to the family and. I'm sure they'll be attribute appropriate tribute in Vegas when we got there. I sent the link put the link up we had a forty five minute visit and number of of. "Series to nineteen exam to a one sports nine sixty four. If you're listening to siriusxm online as you had to do yesterday on the stream side and I- case. I didn't even think to ask are we okay on the stream that the streaming company straighten their issue out. I forgot ask streams good. Nice sorry about yesterday, the stream company, and I think we I think we. Surprise them. They had a server issue. So if you missed anything from yesterday, and if you did actually missed a fair amount Jerry Hall door for and Ben Cole Brooklyn, Don little junior. Jay Primin, and John White, and we actually went over a number of horses with beyond the stake winners with Ben and Jerry and Don little junior. What a fun. Visit actually I I'm really glad I'm not glad that Jimmy jerkins had a tooth pulled. Don't go Jimmy Jimmy picks. He's happy that you're you're your jaws is the size of a softball. No, I. It gave me the idea knowing Jimmy was going to be. On. You know, inaccessible on accessible inaccessible for the day and probably a couple of days. I thought you know, what let me let let's reach out for Centennial's, Don little junior, and that was really fun and got a little little history. We talked about some of. Some of the. The real stalwarts. In Centennial's, successful tenure. And I I will not forget, and I'm sure many of you will forget that was down at Gulfstream for that eventful fountain of youth. Carinthia? He was a maniac. It was just always. There was always something. The that that was in the midst of happening whenever whenever Carinthian was going to run the you could count on an incident or or three. And I think it was down. I I know. In fact, I was down there kinda rooting for lands Robbins. And and. At the time in. Than Bruce Lunceford with I samurai. Yeah. So that was that was if you haven't seen it. That's nice nice incident at about I guess, it was what was it? The the sixteenth pole give or take should go back and find a link to that. I haven't seen it done you'll be entertained. So that was really fun. And we also mentioned the horses that he's got. You know that are on their way. And that includes the one start runner mitts on Thursday. Eight to one this. This was cut out to be okay. And they've if they paid three twenty as yearling. So and it was just funny yesterday every with every single. The point of call yesterday with little. There was some tied to. What's going on? You know, we we obviously talked to Jay Primin minutes before Don joined us and. Mike Abraham who read accelerate. He bred this ORs, mints and. Then there we mentioned I am right there. There's. John gunther. So just shows you that and that you know that. Success breeds success. You get you get a mayor and. Find a formula. But you got to keep it fresh. We'll discuss that tomorrow with with sid. In fact, the longevity and timing is perfect actually because the sale yesterday. The distribution of of mayors. Things continue again this morning at ten. Jessica martinis. Join us after the first break, we'll get the day one recap and and notebook. And of course, the fireworks. The fireworks were. Exceptional Abel Tasman. As as -ticipant. It'd certainly I think there was the expectation that you were gonna get a very nice seven figure number, but. A record five million. Cool more is going to bring her home and. Or keeper here and breeder and Abel Tasman. We'll see what the obviously with the what the roster at the the roster at a cool more, you know, be being interesting. But. This was this was yeah. I think as good or better than at disciplined. So we'll get Jessica's take some of the other names and you yesterday Jane lines named came up. She bought the second highest price. Broodmare a star is born and she's in full to warfront. So. The number one she's fairly young nine years old Galileo, and she's already got. Production. She's already got a European stakes produced type and. I suppose oppose stars born had had done better on Sunday night in the Golden Globes. Maybe the price would have been higher. I sorry. I had to talion of some kind right stars born. Did better did better at Keeneland yesterday than than in Hollywood on on Saturday..

"Jay Lyon, bought a star is born and she gets the warfront baby as well. So that this was. This was a one of those two for ones because who knows what you know, what a the warfront baby. Forefront baby long-term could pay for the mayor. Fatale beret. Seven hundred thousand today, farm and. Once again, reminder that international the international marketplace, they do by our bloodstock, so fatale beret. Seven hundred thousand. Spendthrift got the next then things dropped down. Three fifty percent of summer the seven year old rock hard ten that is in full union rags? It was the next one. Then when it came to the yearlings. Three few three hundred thousand dollar types. And. Clear sky. Pretty active clear sky bread, the top Colt, three hundred seventy five thousand for the intimacy out of Mary Rita consigned by taylormade and bought by art field. What stock American pharaoh? Brady bloodstock went three thirty for the. The hers land and Carta Zia bread American Farrow, three hundred thirty thousand. There was also the war front that went to. Nick, America, three hundred thousand. Three hundred thousand dollar frost at Philly too. So frosted with some early putting up some early numbers and. We'll see what we'll see what we can glean from. From Jessica later and. There were also the they did they sell the that were I don't know if it was yesterday that they sell the there were couple of stallion types right being daddy and the funny bone did they sell yesterday. We'll check with Jessica there. Right. So they one of four for the January sale. The January CEO kicks off the the sale season later. Andy Serlin, our to we'll talk to Andy and catch up on New York. We didn't. We didn't get with the Andy. At the end of the end of the year because they of course, naira had that had the week off a little bit of the holiday. The holiday season break. And also, I haven't had a chance there's a whole bunch of things. I gotta catch up on. The. The piece that Bobby Hall road at thoroughbred racing dot com. E hall with an extensive. Discussion piece about the summer schedule. Saratoga? And obviously had some. Discussions with with Nyra personnel. And. It was kind of a hybrid. It was kind of hybrid piece actually should really get Bob onto the flesh it out. Because really it's not anything I rarely discussed that kind of thing with Andy. But. If you didn't see Bobby piece, the alz, basically, make was kind of making the case and. Talking about the merits of. The forty days spread out over eight weeks. And I personally I. I could just only go by. The kinds of comments. I've heard from the jape ribbon. For instance, Jay has said repeatedly that once del mar made that move. Nobody nobody could believe nobody. Everybody said the same thing they were like how did we do six days a week? How did we even? I mean. Everybody's. You know, beaten down and and everybody's tongues hanging out, and yes it, okay? So it means an extra eight days give or take nine whatever it is. However, it'll flesh out on the calendar. But. People are like, oh, we'll be too much of a good thing. What are you talking about? It's the same amount of of a good thing. It's still forty days spread out over eight weeks. There are there's logistic issues whether everybody would. Everybody's as willing. I mean, it's it's you leave your house if you rent your house out. Also recognized that there's more property being developed in the area than I it just doesn't stop. So there's. There is options and for personnel. Yeah. It's a strain to go upstate if. You're. Downstate and you have to come up about. The barn. I can tell you the barn personnel. They'd love being up here. They love being Sarah toga. They look forward to it. So for the most part. Say the majority. So that that story line. And of course, there was no calendar because there was no firm dates on what what lays out. So I think that is coming to ahead sooner than later. New York reach out the Bob, y'all. Let's take a break here. Jessica martini. He'll tell you. What went on the sales, David FOX. And Joe Bravo. Guess what they're doing on on this Tuesday. They're out on a boat fishing. We'll talk to them later. Apple.

"Tim beasts, and excuse me in Kentucky ridden to victory by Joe Bravo. And you see the pedigree at the bottom of the horse card. He's by Munnings at avai Salt Lake Merritt named Casey's Irish pride. Ninety four. Beyer speed figure for pro forma ninety four buyer for white flag. Ninety three for ninety two for undrafted. The old boy at eight years old still has a little bit left there and blind ambition who runs fifth gets ninety one Beyer speed figure. When you look at the come home times proforma comes home and twenty nine twenty five white flag twenty nine nineteen vici twenty nine thirty seven and undrafted twenty nine fourteen this really to me. This is an interesting race to dissect for a number reasons. One like I said about the Kentucky turf Cup, and I'm going to say about the other two races that will go over after this one. It's I think some horses handled the course better than others. That's not rocket science. Not bringing any news there, but with the race like this at six and a half furlongs and it probably plays a little bit longer just because it is such an odd sort of configuration and that stretch goes on forever and a day. It's going to be interesting to see how the horses from this race come back, especially if they're thinking Breeders Cup in it sounds like Mike cinnamon company. They're thinking that that's a possibility anyway. Pro forma, I keep in mind five and a half furlongs this year at Churchill Downs for the Breeders Cup Turf sprint. It sounds like a next possible start for pro forma could be on October the sixth at Keeneland in the Woodford going five and lungs on the turf. So it's going to be very interesting to see if he can transition this form over to that sort of configuration. I, I don't have any reason to doubt that because he has run well going shorter in the past, but I kinda got the feeling that this was something that helped him this additional ground, this more demanding sort of configuration as opposed to the Bank cracks printers that go out there and can to drop the hammer and drop Twenty-one and change on your head and keep going. I thought the fact that pro-forma dug in is game, lazy did down on the inside, especially when everything was working very well from a trip standpoint, he's down on the real. Joe Bravo has the angle out over heels. When the pacesetter starts. Faulting faltering, excuse me, starts backing up, then he Engels back down to the inside and the fact that this horse dug in his gamely as he did in a spot that is not the most comfortable for horses to be in down. On the rail with another horse that's out just to your outside digging in thought it was a really, really impressive performance. Again, the question now becomes, do you think this is going to be sort of a horse that can transfer this sort of form over to the five and a half? And we'll find out if Keeneland if it works there and then obviously just a few weeks later, if it works at Churchill Downs beneath the twin spires for the Breeders Cup but perform. I think he's a very talented horse. He's a nice horse. He's gonna need to run faster truth be told if he's going to be a legitimate threat for the Breeders Cup Turf sprint. But look right now. I mean that that's always one of those races that have feels like there are a number of horses going into it that have legitimate legitimate chances, and you know what, he's probably going to get a little bit overlooking the wagering wolf, depending on what happens at Keeneland, but pro forma, look, he's an interesting sort of alternative, and even if you don't think he's a legitimate wind threat with the running style that he has..

"I think there was a race for maybe the Manhattan was a bit of a Mirage, but I think he's better than what we saw on Saturday, and I would give him at least the benefit of the doubt going elsewhere. Kentucky downs clearly isn't work for a horse that Kentucky downs does work for though is are clo-, Brad Cox, Donegal and company. They get the job done with an impressive effort again, how you sort of analyze it going forward that's up to you. That's up to the handicapper. But at the end of the day, you know that Arklow likes Kentucky downs in a mile and a half. He can stay it. We'll find out where does he actually stack up from class standpoint though? Should they try bigger and better person's going forward? Arpaio gets the job done in the grade three, Kentucky turf Cup with a one hundred buyer. The ninth race, Saturday at Kentucky downs. It was the great three Kentucky downs turf sprint, six and a half for longs over the undulating tour. Of course, you had a field of eight signed on this is a wide open race of the eight betting interests. Seven of them were single digits. You'll only have one horse that was double digits little Chesney and guess what? He ended up finishing last. This was. A wide open race and really was a scramble. You had them all covered by about all. I don't know two, two and a half length result said and done a very, very fun race to watch. It's gonna be interesting to see what we get coming out of. Here's the stretch of this year's Kentucky downs, turf sprint, pharma's going to stay at the rail on drafted fan, y, but he's in gear now. Also conquest Panthers coming on from last around the final quarter of a mile. Now, blind ambition, white flag on drafted, conquest panther, the outside four. Now roaring forward done deal tries to hang veto. It's wide open and deep stretch. They're coming for the sixteenth pole, white flag done deal proforma undrafted VJ pro forma up the inside. Proforma had white flag close proforma. I think pro-forma gotta proforma gets the job done for Joe Bravo. And Mike stood him at odds of seven to one he finishes. I gets the head in the nose down ahead of white flag who runs second as your five to two favorite followed by vici runs a good third at odds of eight to one. If you played that trifecta for fifty cents comes back ninety three dollars and some change..

"Recently he was essentially coming from last one of the few horses that actually made up any sort of ground little bit goofy with the lead changes coming down the lane he popped to his left lied about the poll and then just short of the wiry pop back to his rightly but i have to be honest with the to me this is a horse now that run in the non one to two other than to starts back gulfstream was visually very very strong this race is better i think than it looks on paper and now he's the kind of horse that could slip through the cracks this is the definition to me anyway of a horse that i'm not gonna call it a trip but the race was better than it's gonna look on paper and all the sudden his odds are going to go up from there probably more so than they should is a grade one horse i'm not sure but i wouldn't fault them if they took a shot in the grade one turf classic cure mclaughlin before the race had said we'll find out this race will dictate whether we go to churchill for the grade one or go to belmont they're going to run a graded stakes race on the same day put loophole and your horse watch mail because i think there's a scenario where he's going to pop it a decent number in his next start or two because this race i don't think this is indicative of what he is and i think it's a lot better than it looks on paper having said that no one was going to beat synchrony on this day he's shown some versatility mike terms a very very good job joe bravo another tremendous ride from him synchrony is going to be a horse to keep on your radar going forward whether it's the turf classic on day or maybe even down the road you think of a race looked arlington million at a mile and a quarter synchrony has got some races with his name on it one buyer one twenty six time form us rating the new orleans handicap was run for older horses earlier on the card at the fairgrounds on.
