And Do you feel better Now that we have a new president that Donald Trump has been banished to Florida? You feel good about that This great evil force has been lifted from the country and a new day has been born. Well, that's the narrative this week is we saw a peaceful transition to power really was never gonna be any attempt to block this transition may be a lot of bluster, Cem, you know angry words and protests and things like that. But I don't think there was ever any serious thought that Oh, my God, The country's gonna fall apart. We're not going to be able to switch President's. We're gonna have a revolution. Well, there was some ugliness of the capital, of course. Not a very good scene on guy will say those who trespassed to resulted people have to be arrested and prosecuted. But, um, really? There was no threat to democracy. There was no real thought. That what happened at the Capitol in January 6th was a revolution that we were going to overthrow government. Now there may have been, um they're not made. There were lunatics leading that thing people that said, Well, we're gonna kidnap Pelosi. We're gonna take hostages. Yeah, Look, there were some clearly some lunatics at the head of that crowd, and sadly, I think a lot of people got whipped up into a frenzy and followed. And they're in trouble because of that, and to a certain extent, I would agree that President Trump whipped up the crowd, but All right. You can. I don't think you can impeach him for that. First of all, there was no threat to democracy yet. In his inauguration speech, President Biden said democracy has been saved saved. The different danger democracies but saved Actually, the most important problem facing the nation right now is this Corona virus pandemic? And I will admit that President Trump's response could have been better. Yes, could have been better in terms of his acceptance of the problem. Maybe, and maybe more of a hands on approach to dealing with it. Maybe could have worn a mask a little bit more. And I truly believe that's one of the main reasons that he lost the election because he let the co Vered pandemic get out of control. I don't really know that Joe Biden would have. He's been president the time or Hillary, they would have made much of a difference. They would have been obviously a lot more sympathetic, lot more empathetic. They would have, you know, maybe warn their masks more often that Donald Trump may not have had super spreader events like he did, but, uh, you know, I we are where we are. And, um I don't think I tell you. I don't think we'll see much difference. But Joe Biden came in. With a lot of bluster, claiming that the rollout of the vaccine has been a disaster. There's no doubt about it. It's chaotic. I think love of responsibility lies with the state. Uh, I don't know. I don't know if a president is gonna use the National guard to distribute if there's gonna be a federal distribution program, but I think The way President Trump thought was the best people handle this. So the people closest to their citizens and those of the state's Let the states manage this. Let them get it out there. Um He was able to at least get the vaccine developed and approved and released in warp speed, something the Democrats could probably have never done. But anyway, Joe Biden says, Here's my plan. I'm going to roll out the vaccines a lot better than Trump his plan. Is to do 100 Million vaccine doses in the 1st 100 days in office, then that sound great. Whoa, man, Can you really do that? Well, did you know we're already doing 900,000 vaccinations today in this country? Yeah. So his great plan. His rescue plan is going to ramp it up by 10%. And When he was asked. Shouldn't we be doing more? Mr President? He snapped. Come on and give me a break. Uh, this is the guy that demanding respect on the part of everybody who works in Washington. First tough question. He's gotten about two years. Hey, shouldn't we be doing more? Come on, man. Give me a break and He walked away, So you know, he's a typical democratic stuff. They say What sounds real good. When you peel it away, you find out you know it's just words. Their action rarely measures up to the words. But the words sound good and Yeah, What's not there? They're good. Now look, I I do want to give The new president of break. I think we all can use a break from Donald Trump. He's been exhausting for four years. Absolutely, um, kind of sporadic, unconventional, unpredictable getting any kind of words. You used to describe him. Hey once, and it was different. But, you know, I think until this spend Emma Kit This country was in great, great shape. Fabulous shape. I mean, the economy was soaring. People were working. Everybody was doing fine. And now the pandemic comes along and things changed. And we we are Where we are, But in what? Let's give Joe Biden an opportunity to deal with the problems, you know. They say he is a centrist. Middle of the road guy and we'll see if that middle of the road is a place where he can get this country. I think it's going to be a great challenge because He's got extremes on both sides. We obviously have the far right that was with President Trump. And of course, he's got the far left. He's gonna have to deal with the ale season that extreme liberal wing of Democratic Party. I think that we already exerted some influence based on some of the early things he's done, but anyway, we'll see how much he can hold on to that center. But Right away. Um, this is the guy that wanted to unify the country. Is going to have an issue with impeachment. The word from Senator Schumer is that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is sending articles of impeachment to the Senate on Monday. If those articles go to the Senate on Monday, as they seem to want to do right now, That means based on the constitution, the Senate has to begin a trial that afternoon. The Senate minority leader, Mitch McConnell, has been trying to kind of delay this thing for a month. To give Trump sometime tol get a legal team in place. But Democrats don't care if this is fair or not s. Oh, there. It looks like they're going to move ahead with this thing and I will tell you, I mean the charges. Probably going to be inciting in direction for the capital riots, but I don't think they're ever going to get to that. My belief is that, um this is going to have to go to the Supreme Court before we even get to what he said at the rally. Didi Incite insurrection in all of that.
