"Machines podcast. Well it's not every day you get a lot of voice actors of creators and you get dude that can imitate megatonne and Wasp Banadir in the same show up and then our good good friend longtime co only did a few things with terrorists from Canada says glad to have been a part of it and gave me so much insight and experience. Hope to come back one day in record again. Anyone that has all already recorded with us that you know we still are in contact with anyone as Valey. As long as you're available or where available anyone can always come back. I mean it's Luke Skywalker said. No one's ever really gone badge wall. He says but they did. Bastards did it. Yeah and Disney Marvel got lucky. Wb is just throwing character ideas to a wall and here we go. It took individual film sequels a major plot to bring the adventures together and go up against they nose. Dark side is no thanos in the anti life equation is no infinity gauntlet. Just let it die then moved on. Suzanne is not teaming up with the League wonder woman has adequate but nothing great same as Opperman. Need proofread final crisis. Anything that occurs there is just because he showed up not because he had to collect some rocks to make him powerful and and it was kind of humorous and then Somebody sustain us as is weaker because he's always trying to impress the female personification of death. Dark side. Love no one. Yeah The new post the image that I post These memes because I collect anything we star trek related and honestly collect memes anyway but it shows thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet and all the stones this once I've gotten infinity gauntlet and collected six infinity. Stones of finally be able to shape reality but just a snap my fingers and then below. It's a picture of q lowered. Life forms are so amusing and then he snaps his finger and and then there was another one. Because I've got there's like six of them with Q. There's one with Thanos on the bridge. "Occasion twenty seven thirty four twenty seven hours thirty four minutes that's your pic a score well I don't know about that yeah no I got twenty seven thirty hours you say thirty four twenty yeah I keep going back and forth on this thing but you know they maybe you said I can't remember the so many things that you're watching you read all these kind of things but you know you you get so obsessed watch all the Viking stuff in the in the almost get I would say intimidated by the way they do this they do this and they do this and then you forget almost take for granted the forty Niners are really good they're really it so I lost three times all year and I don't think they lost any of yeah they just ran out of time in the other team and or points and I I went back and watch the Viking game when they were down twenty to nothing at home to Denver this yeah yeah that's where I actually in the first half of that game was I going back and win the game and it was still fun digs out of the slot and going deep in burdensome nine routes and you know Xavier Rhodes gave it up although he did follow Cortland sudden around Minnesota's good they're a good team I I think you know I've said this periodically throughout the year on the forty Niners faced Pittsburgh in Carolina and later in the years well this is the best Baltimore this the best defense the foreigners gonna face yeah I I would say yeah in some spots in Kyle said that maybe we face Baltimore again and just the Superbowl then we may make that point that their defense is the best but they got a good defense but I get I don't know how to play the slots in day hall was really good at playing the slot and so we'll get Greg Cosell to come in and break down what's going on with our games in a lot of times John it just comes down and they don't play against each other and I I I look at it last because there's so many other match ups that predicate other quarterbacks play but ultimately it's the guy with the ball in his hands and I just have way more faith in Jamaica Rapallo than than Kirk cousins Kirk Kirk cousins I almost fell down a trunk captain Kirk so come on Jim yes you have to look at because cell to figure out which one he likes better I mean statistically it's a wash because and said let's interceptions this year but I think it's just out of all security issue that concerns me which images fumbles when the forty Niners of lost least against Seattle against Baltimore he fumbled the ball the way he did fumble ten times this year the foreigners lost five so I think you know ball securities furs put your hands on it especially when hotter in Griffin coming around the edge so but they're good but the forty Niners you're better I mean if the forty Niners play their best game I think the blowout then it's kind of like the warrior days John if the forty Niners play a bee game or a B. minus game can they still beat Minnesota Minnesota plays an a plus game then I think it's tough then then then it's going to be a competitive game and that if you start turn the ball over then that's the difference in the game so I I don't think they necessarily have to play their best to beat them I just think play well sound don't turn the ball over and then I I'm wondering if we're just going to see the fresh legs kind of like your bellow is back you got your lung capacity back to learn X. is back in Quan's back and we'll see about de but I I know the fresh legs go back to the Cleveland game when they came off their bye and the first play the game a wind back run for breed and that she is gone eighty seven yards later I mean we could cut it we could have the those kind of moments on Saturday were just the fresh legs of the forty Niners are just way too fast for them no that's a great point eight you know what's funny is as you were saying that I have no life and so I was just flipping channels last night and they were replaying other replied the the Niners in the ravens and they re played I think that that was all that was the Seahawks and Packers from two thousand fourteen Russell's also that was awful he had like four interceptions five interceptions whatever was in Seattle they came back and won that game on a deep pass to curse from Wilson but more times than not like you said if you don't beat yourself if you're the better team Wilson just kept throwing picks they were bad throws one was tipped in Morgan Burnett got it off of I think it was off course actually but this the thing I was thinking was exactly what you just said I think the Niners are obviously better but as you and I have talked about for years and years and years each game has its own separate DNA so we can sit here and analyze and say this guy's going to key in that guy's gonna be key and outside of the quarterbacks which always are because they handle the ball so much you just don't know and a turnover can turn it a big play can turn it a blown assignment can turn it all these things that we really can't anticipate I mean who would have dissipated the Russell Wilson when it was just so horrendous that day but yet they come back from sixteen nothing with a fake you know fake field goal from the plan holder was the punter and all these eight and they got an onside kick with all these crazy things happen and all the sudden they're going to the Superbowl which of course in the patriots but who knows in a football game right it's crazy yeah but you know turnovers people think turnovers are just like you know butter fingers here I just take the ball away has lost it and be that as it happens sometimes it does but mainly turnovers are takeaways and the better teams generate turnovers I see these days and I know especially all days I mean it it did they practice it all over again you know they have a take away Thursday whatever it is you know it's just they they they it's it's and you think you know do you Ford you showed up here and learn how to punch the ball out of learning Kansas city and they they they in NYC does and they they they sacked the ball not the quarterback they want the ball that's the ultimate in Minnesota does the same thing Danielle honor it fortunate I have sex this year he had fourteen and a half sacks last year so he's consistently a problem here twenty nine sacks this in the last two years Everson Griffen is the guy that won a wall last year and he just left the team and he had you know you spend some nights in weeks in a in a in a hospital you know something happened to him mentally or you just but he needs back into you know we are gonna talk to Joe Staley after I left yesterday we did the Joe show reunites reunited he was wondering where you were by the way he wants to get that going that was a great job and she's got a show up in the lines got to show up and then we'll do the Joan Mike show I mean how good with that would be cool anyway Joe give us those scouting report on average in Griffin and Danielle hunter their stack linebackers are good players Kendricks and bar there to save these are good players there is and heresy in Anthony Harrison Harrison Smith and I wonder they're gonna play in the slot and all that but we got a pack show today Jack not just Joe Staley and Greco cell we had a pair of Mike's we've been talking about Mike Shanahan coming on but I gotta say email from Mike to Rico so we are gonna get to Rico on today he's gonna be in the studio for NBC they have the game tomorrow so Mike to recall a joint is at noon and I coach Shanahan will join is to twelve fifty so where is loaded today we got may call what else we got going today because cells Daily Mail go to Rico shim if you mention my ten and twelve fifty rip off the knob and chat Hardman who's yeah yeah I did a show in Minneapolis is dad said art but it's been a columnist there were just his dad on March the fifteenth is gonna turn one hundred years of age and I'm not gonna give it about tomorrow's game will be the fiftieth anniversary of the day when they lost Superbowl for why I wonder I know how many of these heartbreaking moments Chavis probably too young to see that lost you know sixty five tossed power trap when they lost to the chiefs matriculating down the field but did you see them lose to Miami did you see him lose to Pittsburgh was in Pasadena when the raiders ran seventeen Bob tray all over him and Jim Marshall and have a single tackle I mean they love football at Minnesota they love it and they and their their heart broken repeatedly over and over and over again and maybe the worst loss in history the franchise was not even a Superbowl it was a game when Gerry Anderson became in Mr feel gonna see temping to begin because and land I was in that day and I remember going into the ledge I barely caught that played I was like are you kidding me the only missed like you said he had all year you know what he did it daily for what he was on this radio station with me I went to school programs he was that he came back yeah you know we just learned I get all of your letters are I don't know if we ever jinx daily that we all we jeans Vogelsong we jags who is the third base was a third baseman other gal only did Mrs sing call younger and the one he missed wasn't even that far you withheld this information for years you were the jeans saw what I mean I without that I had in mind the air was on this blowtorch when we were we were we talking about hello this song and I know that it can all these there was a jinx it was and I don't have any you know I saw the fight for that game all I did not want the dirty bird to go and that was Mike in my chair I got a Superbowl the wit next game was that you that you gene Robinson incident before the yeah well they they end of one year they got busted with a prostitute right I mean we can repeat them right yeah because.

"Russian. Can you help. I guess. I mean the. I'm guessing that they did that specifically because everybody's done at Camaro and they said you know what we're gonNA show you what it's you know their audience because their audience like the people are buying cars them. They want those cars. I mean you get that car for a day and find and not find all of the little details that they've added to it honest. I drove their Camaro from like two years ago. And it's not that different. No it's going to be. I think that can hot-looking dynamics wise is probably going to be the same as any pro-tory pro-tory build or whatever but If you look at that you can tell it's modified just can't really tell what like it's very very hard to tell like what exactly they did Arto until what one hundred percent of everything. Obviously you can tell how did not I know Joan Mike. They're fucking great. Why do you hate America Mat? I Hate I hate America Camaro I just I just think and obviously look and what Jim and Mike have told me before to my face. uh-huh is even though cars going to Sima. It's still also going to a customer. Sometimes the customer wants certain things. And that's what we're building. Yeah like when they put the LS LS motor in that Penn Tara instead of using a Ford Motor whatever she was like he was gone customer on an Ls game over end of discussion. All right fine the same kind of thing but like I just like I. I like their work so much that I wanna see that shit applied to some fucking bonanza You know what I mean like like what would you do then mode I do like I would. Oh man what. I'd like to see the ring brothers. Fuck with like I said No. No no no I think I. I thought that Pan Tara which by the way if you haven't noticed is is is is literally the desktop computer that we're using all interesting. This look there it is. It's right it's fucking no don't Richard Rawlings Rawlings zones in. Yeah no other than the ring. Brothers there's really. He wasn't the original customer. Yeah he bought it yeah on an onslaught it from whoever however the paperwork swirled around but he owns it. Now I was the only other person to drive it. Ever Interesting yeah it was cool. It needed some fine tuning for the for the dynamics of it came like right off the trailer and drove it. Are you telling me a sima built wasn't isn't it would have been fine if we didn't also the other half of this photo. Is this amazing. Stock perfectly restored Pancaro which was so good. A House to house dock was it. Was it like restored to perfectly stock. Okay so I mean that that cooling system. Okay well I didn't send a traffic jam with it I've done about. They're they're they're known to not not be great. I mean yeah. I don't know who but just dynamically so gray but there. I want to see like WanNa see them do like an how for Mayo. GT OR VO fucking to forty Volvo Volvo to forty would be the shit sure but nobody is gonNA is GonNa Commission brothers built right so it's like like somebody could commission a ring brothers there's like Laci Delta or ring brothers like maybe I think it's a little too new 'cause this is half a million dollars. Yeah nobody with that kind of money is like under under sixty. Come on. Yeah look around us. Rather no no. But they're they're not buying cars like this. They're buying seven twenty s with their daddy's money. So maybe they're buying newest listen greatest they're not buying because they don't have stallard for this kind of stuff. Maybe the people that are like listen like our age. They aspired to do this. But like it's very very very very rare for them to have any sort of money but later on I'd say in Twani like I'd say ten to fifteen years you're going to see a ring brothers. Ask tight build on cars like that on like a supra and stuff like that. Can't Lisa ring brother's car. So how do they expect. Oh yeah that's a good point. Research.

"Something for this preseason for this season the bills are going to lose something interesting at wide receiver not necessarily great but interesting so I don't want to hear it I don't want Brandon Riley anger revisited now who am I kidding it's gonna happen anyway but the biggest thing about this wide receiver group is that outside of the promise that rubber foster showed there's no superstar here for this team at the receiver corps is that going to be a problem for this offense I think no because John Brown is a guy he's a speed Sir Robert foster is a speedster those guys will play well to Josh on strengths Cole Beasley is a guy who can get you separation something that you're receiving corps last year was sorely lacking yes yeah Josh down might miss the occasional open receiver but more times than not of coal Beasley's giving you more space of throwing the football that means gonna catch I mean that I am going to miss less frequently because he's going to be that open he's gonna be an absolute godsend I saw another him in Dallas yeah he's a he's a he's a problem for defensive backs and really you looked at how often Josh Allen had to throw into an extremely tight window with this receiver group separation skills are very underrated trait for receiver so I love Debo Samuel coming into the draft this past year he's one of those guys I can get that separation Kobe is is one of those guys that can get that separation John Brown can get you that separation and that might be more important than straight line speed foster can do that and get separation that way but you can roll safeties deep for that Beasley and brown are gonna give you problems Beasley in particular and that I think allows the bills offense to really be able to hopefully shine a little bit more tight ends an interesting thing beside across his on the pop Dawson knocks might be getting more starter snaps than you'd think or expect coming into the season Lee Smith is not going to do anything other than black for you if I think there's what the bat between Joe and Mike yes Joan Mike about five catches being the line for Lee Smith Jo Jo's got the under on his five catches for Lee Smith Mike's taking the over on that and honestly I don't know if I like the Hoover but if you can get some production of the tight end group that would help Charles clay was rather overpaid he was decent but very overpaid the only thing is that no injuries are plaguing him and he was just decent and that contract was not gonna match I'm still looking forward to what this receiver group brings for this season and we all get our first glimpse of it on Thursday makes you feel good makes you feel all warm and fuzzy outside and inside because it's actually warm outside bill's camp get started Thursday morning and by the way make sure you.

"So I said, listen, you know, I know it's not even in your city, but he might sending a guy out and see if you can find a guy big six foot four black guy wearing glasses. That kind of really be in the computer because we're looking for someone who only fit the description of a large African American, and we really didn't have any information on per se that I know it was just talking with the officers who worked at the zephyr field and see if they knew anybody fit that description. This is a big deal for Britain. Because he at least now has the power and authority of the New Orleans police to follow up on leads in that jurisdiction when she wouldn't have had otherwise. So he's good enough to send the Sajjan out to that. So calorie. And from the contacts zephyr field from the information we received who will come up with a hard description on the person that he was looking for. Trying to find somebody in New Orleans is kind of like finding a needle in a haystack. Because since that attack had happened Hurricane Katrina has devastated. The area official. Official that eighty percent of New Orleans is now underwater all these levees had started to preach and water was coming into the to the city, and it was no way to stop it. The community. There had literally been scattered to the four wins. So. I said, well who knows if this guy's even if he's alive who knows if he's living there anymore. What he's doing? What's going on? I said I have no idea. I I said damn I c-. I came this forum not going to give up yet, Ken Brennan's friend in New Orleans actually helped him enormously by tracking down the person. He was looking for it. It's a big city. There's a lot that they don't know. And yet somehow they're able to figure out that he worked at the Superdome when Katrina hit. And they get a name. It has been months and months Brennan trying to just get a name to this video image on tape. And when he finally, here's the name, call you gotta be kidding. Unfortunately, it's a name. We've all heard before. From Miami to Louisiana. This case was taking private Ikin. Brennan on multi state manhunt phones, I had a gasping breath on his on his case. I was gonna make sure they're sort that yet. This guy is exactly what you want obsessed taking it personally. And unwilling to give up even if that involves some wacky theories that other people would say, no way. No, how Brennan's got a contact in New Orleans and incredibly they're actually able to find the name of the suspect. But that name isn't the break. He was hoping for. The combat and tell me the guy's name is Mike Jones. You gotta be kidding me. I Jones was it. A million of them might Joan Mike Jones is the guy's name. I said jeeze, you know, this is generic as you can get. Yeah. I mean, the guys they was like Miguel Gorbachev's of the, you know, it'd be held a lot easier to track down, but guy named Mike Jones is pretty tough the name, Mike Jones. There's nothing worse than that. In terms of trying to figure out who it is. At least they've got a middle, and that's legal. So now, they have Michael Lee Jones. And now they've got to do some more detectable the combination of having the middle. Name leaves them to potentially identified in locating this person. What I did was I took that information. I went back to the hotel registry alone. Behold. What do I find out that? There was a Michael Lee Jones junior that did stay at the airport. Regency hotel. It's a pretty big moment. Yeah. Well, that's an aha moment. Where you say. Hey, listen, I know it was on the right track. And the noted on his car that he did work sent a plate. But might Jones that I was looking for was the same Mike Bill that was in Miami, the Miami votes, you okay, that I know I now I just gotta find..

"He says. Go crazy. Every. As the radio, which one was better, Ricky, Martin Williams. Like the commitment. I liked the dedication. So. And again, two years twenty mil Farhan you can afford that. You're not running the you're not running the as anymore broke. Dude. You can afford it. Nick Castellanos, I wouldn't have known, but he banged Adam Jones. And and then Derek Dietrich he banged for the reds yesterday. And then Jose Martinez, basically. So what we're saying is is. She moves. Well, I. Head cope real quick on a Friday. Oh, baby. Jake move. I say what is technically. He's not bad. He's in key. So my biggest argument with everybody out. There is the condescending people in Johnny lunch. Shout out to you, buddy. I love you. And I sit in your chair with. Yeah. I like, Johnny Lizzy sports argument, not a personal argument. It's that he was telling me, it's a rebuild dummy. Can't you see that? Right. And I was yelling at my radio. If it's a rebuild. It's the worst rebuild ever because they did nothing because if you're going to rebuild you go backwards us going to strip it down baby, you dump the contracts. I know they're big contracts, but you can dump them, and you can eat some of the money too. If you wanna play younger guys, so it's not a rebuild because they're playing the old guys. And if it is a rebuild Connor Joan Mike read are not part of the rebuild. Okay. So scrap that now are you trying to win. I believe they are trying to win. I believe that's my belief. I could be wrong. But it's my belief that they are thinking, hey, we. Pitching. Let's make a run at this. And if it sucks will blow it, by the way, we talk now they're trying to win. Then you can't go with Connor Joe and Mike Reid. So to me, it's not a rebuild and it's not a win. So I don't know really what they're trying all day. What guys like Murph, and Tim Flannery actually know about and I gotta say this, Murph. Garner's performance yesterday. I feel like it's not like he was excellent yesterday, Madison. Bumgarner went out there and cope saw it as a good long term thing for the giants that he was excellent because because you probably get more value out of him being a great year. It'll be the number one guy at the deadline that the teams want from a from a team that's probably not in contention. The thing about your rebuild thing is I'm not totally disputing that. It's a rebuild. But I don't think maybe that's the right term. It's definitely not a fire sale rebuild. They're not just getting rid of pieces and getting in as many as they can I would say it's more of a transitional year towards far Hans game plan. And I think that probably makes more sense because you can't just do everything you want out of the gate with the contracts that he has I would call it more a transition season than rebuild season bought it. It's kind of the third option. It's not a rebuild. It's not only are they trying to win. Gee. By the way, I'm going to call this a transitional year for a lot of giant fans to John fans, transitioning from being totally committed happy upbeat tuten transitioning to becoming disgruntled can I can I just yeah. Exactly. Can I transition transition often? And I know Mario and every is upset at us for ragging on the franchisor ragging on the product. Can I'm not you know, what I mean? Let me ask you this. Can we just switch over and rag on the Oakland A's putting out a an incredible product? I'm jealous. Ninety seven wins. And they barely drew twenty two thousand on opening day that is tough copes Bradman's specifically asked for me to ask you to go off on the as.

"And December in January and February. And then finally they play baseball down in San Diego and Mike. There was Bumgarner doing his thing. And there was the offense not picking them up. So Mike cruch. Oh, good morning to you. Happy baseball season. And we love all your thoughts. Open. The can Mike spill it out for us. How you feel in this morning? Pretty good. We got a game that counts. Yeah. It's going in the standings. I mean, this is such a special day. You don't win the ballgame. It's just a, you know, it reaffirms all the hard work that these guys put it in the off season all the the concern and care that we as fans have is followed the team is with the sing together. And it all old. It's it's great. It's great to see Bumgarner out there. Dealing through. Great baseball seven innings. Great see him get a base it. It was even entertaining. CNN get picked off. There was a great day. I mean, I wish there would've won. I wish the offense would have supported the pitching effort that the Bumgarner gave them. But you know, there are too many good things that happened yesterday that you know, it's it's one game. You know, get back on the horse and go out there and win even up and and score some runs killing me. Obviously, we're going to talk about the the lineup and the options for Bruce Bochy going four, but stay on for just a second. He knew I don't I'd have to go back and watch twenty ten game film. But did he change up is a whole new thing? Now. Right. Isn't it? I mean, he didn't he wasn't throwing that eight nine years ago was he and and that seemed to be he had Manny Machado tied up in Nazi was pulling the string all day. He's to pitch guy ten years ago when he was a cutter and a slider. Go ghetto Schneider had kind of a a minded its own. It would it would sink at times it would go run flat. So he kinda got to pitches out of the one grip. No. But I mean, he he's a pitcher now when he came up he was just a a thrower with a lot of deceptions delivery in a in a huge set he'd go out there, and just you know, compete will now he's all of that and more. Now, he's got a curveball. Now. He's got two types. Fastball changeup is a pitch that it was a it was a project for so long. Now that's a weapon. So he's going to look a little bit different. Every time. He goes out. There is going to be what's working what's swing types. He's facing. They'll be nice. But you see him throw more fastballs and cutters than than curb and changeups, but he got the job done. That's what pitchers do they evolve. And they get better. And they just and that's where he's at career. And I mean, that's what we can expect the rest of the time. He's a mission. I mean, he really is. He wants to just prove everybody wrong if he's just mad at the world. And it's a great place for him to be. Yeah, man. It is a he he was sensational, and he actually addressed the beat writers asked him. Did you think about you and bocce at your last run together? No matter what. Because Boches leaving even somehow Bumgarner stayed and got an extension with the giants. Right. And he said I'd be lying. If I told you it didn't cross my mind. My comment. Yeah. I mean, they're such an incredible part of giant's history will skies and. What Bumgarner has meant to this organization. Not just in terms of what he's given them as an athlete, but what attitude that he's given them in the clubhouse that little sense of invincibility just the way that he is. He's just the cowboy he's at the sheriff in town. And there could not have been a better manager for him in his career. There's just could not have been they have too much in common. I mean. Boccioni sheriffs and he's trained in the new sheriff. I mean, that's kind of how their relationship is. And and I think you would tell I mean, he's just most favorite athlete of all times in east had great athletes great characters, and and a lot of great people who've come under his under his reign, but this guy has been special since day one. And it is going to be something that they'll reflect on a lot this year. And as they go through in life, and they both retired from this game that that friendship will always be very very close. Very tight. You know, he the story was that no seven he sent Tim Flannery the book or the DVD of lonesome dove. Yeah. Yeah. You got one more ride left in you. I want him to send the I want. I want bomb and boats you to do the lonesome dove cattle dot those guys to go from Texas to Montana. Those guys do does a little bit on. Well, Myers getting them. Really what a what a showdown, you know, two guys who've had history competitive history. And you know, hey, you know, the game Mike, sometimes the guy gets you and men will got him. He. Got him yesterday. And that was interesting wasn't it. Well, we'll Mars homeland. If that was the best about the game, he got down to count to and. I mean. He worked at two three two in Bumgarner me he was he was giving us some good teasers make a good pitches. He moved to man he backed them off. Not he took a little off. I mean, he he used every trick that he had to get him out. And in the end, he threw a backdoor break him on the outside corner. And and Myers it out over the wall right-center more towards center. I mean, it was just a great guy. You tip your cap. I know we don't like to hear that. But it's kind of how it is. And then he comes up with a runner second base. The Kizlar gets a double you. Got learn second nobody out it's the strikeout situation. And and he goes back up to the middle of the base hit. And that's that's that's the game to nothing. But those are really great at bats in those your pets. You know, he's he was like five thirty one or something for thirty two lifetime against Bumgarner. He hadn't had a lot of success against them. So he had a pretty special day. And that was what determined the the outcome. But the that's in the in the battle pretty much fun to watch a lot of fun talking Bumgarner. But now we have to talk about the lineup, and what Bruce bocce was handed, and so Mike, I think just letting you know here most people there are it's a big divide here. In the bay half the half, the those who being more patient or saying far haunt has a lot. He walked into a tough situation salaries. He couldn't trade and a farm system that wasn't giving him what he wanted. So he went and got Connor Joan Mike read the other half is saying he had one job. He had to improve the outfield. He didn't do it and everybody in that side is very very mad set and a lot of people in even Tim Flannery. Three time world champs sent out a tweet saying you don't start utility players on opening day. That's as nice as I can say it. So what's your reaction to the lineup card that boat put out there? Well, I was a little surprised to see Connor Joe and Michael region. Because I don't none of us really know them. We haven't seen him. We haven't seen him take enough at bats. I mean cutter Joel looks like pretty good athlete, and he's got a protest Redfield. He's patient. He's gotta works account gets walks. That's kind of a prototypical for guy. What we found out the great honor. Michael Reed has a great arm and Michael rea comes with some pretty good numbers. If you combine what he did last year double and triple eight three forty two power, and you know, he's athletic. I was intrigued by these guys. I just haven't seen them enough. I'm not gonna say that Bush was a bad hand. Because I don't know who these guys are. They may turn out to be great players. This was their debut had both of them in the outfield. Would I have liked to seen a Bryce Harper nephew? Will we all would? But that didn't have you know, they made a three hundred ten million dollar offer. The it wasn't taken. So guess what you go with what you have what you have. I'm not going to really. Just go off on this choice to put these guys out there. I've seen them more because they may be pretty good players. And so that's kind of where I'm in on that. But I expected that I mean once you started looking around as to who was available what outfielders were out there. The only one that got away that I I really would have liked to seen her giants uniform Marlin Gonzales, I thought that was a guy that could have helped in a lot of different ways. But it didn't happen. So what you have is is what you is what we had out there yesterday. But I'm going to give them a few more at bats. I'm going to be a little more patient before I start to be very critical. I think of being over critical after one game, I think is false hustle. Okay. I sorta Adam Jones homered for the Diamondbacks yesterday to for four with a bomb. So good again. That was the guy to that. Brennan Crawford was pushing hard for him to. But when you started looking at at where he wasn't house game has has gone on a bit of a slide. You said more strikeouts. He just walk a whole lot on base percentages low. It kind of felt like an Austin Jackson type guy. I mean, I always felt like, you know, thirty four year old. Centerfield is like thirty four year old point guards. We had the the best of their careers kind of behind him. So we we just got through watching, you know, a couple of them there. The last couple of years. So I preferred the youth in Duggar I was surprised with maven did make the team. But if you take a look back what he did what he did do with the bat. You know, you can justify it back. We could. Yeah. Mac. I want to talk for just a second. But say like, and let's pause, and what you just said that you couldn't justify it. I would say he could probably make the same argument about reading Joe though because if you look at their minor league numbers MAC had seasons. Like those guys did in the minors and they're not like twenty one twenty two Joe's twenty six years old. I read is to max twenty seven or twenty eight. But anyway, the point being is that but MAC has the one thing that they're missing which is the chance to elevate. So I would say if I was talking to foreign I'm like, okay and read a get it on base percentage, but MAC can elevate and they're not dramatically different minor league wise than max. So. I guess he was saying max outta options. And that was a huge deal, but you're read 'cause I mean, keeping MAC at least would give you the chance of going deep. Yeah. And I thought that was a lock that he was gonna be your opening day left fielder. I really did back in the spring one ball heart one ball..

"Money's online. We're we're usually there. And this is what it is. I as the predators. We know what it takes to win big as we know what it takes to win playoff series. We know what it takes to win championships. And we trust that. All right. There you go. And just then I just checked Twitter to just make sure we were all up to date. You guys ready for some giants bummer. Giants news. What MAC Williamson designated for assignment. Okay. Wow. I'm not surprised how so they looked at Connor Joan Mike Reid said we're gonna today said they ran DFM before he playing that one game. Remember, they said before he got hurt. They are thinking that. Well, we only heard that on the Tuesday we thought offspring that he was going to be the starting. Yeah. Earlier news wasn't until they went and got reading Joe that we were like, wait. What's going on here? It was actually pretty eager to watch MAC. Williamson getting a good chunk of playing time and get a good chance did just show us what he can do. Well, farhan. I'll take Connor Joe and Riyan just told you just said we're taking read and Connor Joe over MAC now will he be correct? That's the answer. Bruce bocce she's going gonna join us. There's your daily dose of dubs, by the way, those quick reaction from my seem head coach on the patio scale of one to ten well that's the wrong way to put it just your MAC Williamson reaction that I'm a little surprised. I mean, I thought like as far as upside goes. I mean, I thought well right handed power, right and say. An insincere could've thrown them on the injured list. I'm a little surprised if that happens one of the only guys who can elevate. And as you know copes when you elevate it's time to celebrate consistent. He's like a great foray guy doesn't like right hand to people in general, Nick Hundley right handed. Power gone. Yeah. That's what I'm saying. "Couldn't parse through that one. Man. I didn't strong though, isn't it? And you know, I'm looking so far. I haven't seen the hip. I haven't seen the hip turn. By the way, got copes with Gary. I want to make you laugh makes me feel good. I haven't seen much from BUSTER. So far either to it looks listen. What are we gonna take a lot of the same? Remember how great he what? Like how healthy. He was there. See I mean, obviously, we'll see maybe on Thursday, all of a sudden the unleash the turbo hip lower-half and everything just starts driving the ball. He came up with a couple of guys on yesterday. And just kind of tapped out weekly to second. I thought I've, paulie. And one of the things is what's incredible is that there's two storylines. Jalen copes? The one story line of who the hell are these guys if our hunts put three guys on the roster who they weren't even on the team a week ago? Connor Joe, Michael reading aircraft's nice. And then we're just row. These guys the other parties, by the way, Murph maybe on sixth street. Joe work in the corner. Like, dude, how's your glove? We get in the car. We're gonna drive into the game. You're playing for the giants. Now is a good looking guy. But anyway, so there's one part, which is who are these guys. The other part is what you've been saying since Christmas. I just saw these goes generations deep now. 'cause I was with my boys last night, and we were flipping around. It's hard to get James off, the bucks rockets. But I'm like, dude, let me get a little giants. Let me get a little giants. So I'm flipping over. And now here dude he saw and we were there for the beginning. When actually yeah. Already fourteen year old with the million dollar tongue. He's going he said the same thing when they showed the starting lineup. He goes that isn't that pretty much the same team as last year. And I said, well, that's a funny you should mention that because Murph, and I've been riffing on that for months, so it's going generations deep isn't that the same team, dad? Hey farhan. That's a bold roster. Right. There you go. Good morning. Sue. Suppleant uplift the hell nobody Jillette all over the last six months. I know she's emotional like I am. She is and she can get pissed like I can says she gets pissed you pissed money. Joe? Good morning and Marnie. Well, one thing I was happy about as as of right now. Pablo Sandoval has made the team forward you said as of now has right now. Everything's could change could totally Williamson. Now, we don't know what's going on. You get hit on the radio sounded like it quietly as they put up these lineups last couple of days. Connor Joan Mike Reid. No MAC that they were going to get rid of. I heard they're gonna DFM regardless right away. Now, he's injured. So what happens now, they have a chance to actually buy some time to see if Connor Joe and Michael redo anything quick question. Mark for you telling me, those four words are like bad words or dangerous words as of right now. Well, then I got news for because I had a meeting with our program director after the show yesterday. He goes. Yeah. Paulie MAC as of right now, you're on the morning. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. But I've got an as of right now yesterday. Conor. Joe is your Connor Geoff Garin. Manners. He's bill. I wondered if the giants set it up for him to sit at the table. So that I would come on fifty thousand watts say nice young man, handsome, young man looks goodness. How about the fact that we're getting ready to break down opening day roster for the giants and we're talking table manners? These guys can help. He's great at the dinner table. Actually got a Bengal last night a little fister and Cope's was so drunk with jet lag. And he's jet lagged. He doesn't know what countries in. A little too. We actually sent me. He sent me a text gone. Kind of Joe might be the guy and I. Jetlag? I looked at my phone for like, fifteen seconds. I'm like. Time zone. You let them go. I wrote back releasing back into the sea that fish swim that fister one year over because I actually what I did no joke because I had been kind of dilly dallying and the game was on and actually rewound my game to see what he had just done. He had hit a little Bengal into right field squirted under the glove of who is a pro far, by the way. Jerks and pro far you want you want young powerful. Young speed power talent as got him for a song. Sure. Healing giants. Got what Billy ran circles around people on that one ran circles around him. So anyway colored Joe Eric cutter. Joe Michael read, Erik Kratz are all going to be on the team. They all made it that's on just telling you, Bobby. You gave me an S sandwich. I'm going to give you an S sandwich right back. So got other guys. A Trevor got Travis Bergen. These are all guys that were not on the team at the end of last year. So there's at least five totally new guys the Pablo situation, then the weirdness body job didn't name the closer mean. There's a. Yeah. I know I could make a trade today between today and tomorrow, it could trade Will Smith could trade Watson Milan-San Atlanta. Atlanta Aisin Veronica any of these guys could be moved for a bat. Who knows? So it's strange times. Alan Hansen to make the team. You didn't make the no let's be honest now where they thought that he was going to beat up, you know, home home to third. There's nobody you'd rather see, but the glove is shaky and and there's a lack in and he would also do some head scratching things. The glove. Love is shaky. He would make some interesting decisions decisions. You see in Danny Boyle park at eleven and eleven and twelve year olds make you have a practice last night. We did we got that. We're supposed to play tonight. Paulie? Yeah. Let's. Let's get this one in let me on this is we're now five games into an eighteen game season. You're really talking about a third of the season still marred by rain. What Murph I had a season like that? I don't expect you to remember this. But it was years ago. When my kids were probably around the pardon me, we've had drought. There was one year. We had a ton of rain outs. And then we there were so many makeup games were doing games every day for a while it gets dicey. They they they load them up on the back end to be to be honest. We've been lucky we've gotten every game in now tonight today I bought that app for three dollars and ninety nine cents called dark sky. You love that apt dark sky, probably sake. Man. Can we get a little better name Floyd, Al dark sky? Now, dark sky is telling me that I have the actual address of the is telling me little light rain at nine AM. Oh, it looks like an stop by eleven. We're going to get this one ball that we're going to let the kids play, Bob. Anyway. Well, listen, it was depressing. The as five hundred against the giants in spring training every year, we're going to do gonna wake up around, Murph. We're gonna go kick some giant ass, and we're going to get rid of regular see. That's my Tony LaRussa on Wednesday. He's still talking as by the way, we have warrior games tonight. NFL rule changes to get to.

James pleasure to meet you finally. Oh, good to meet you see. So. You've been with the bohemian a lot a longtime. Yes. And mostly right about wine. Yes. As a weekly column called swirl. Yeah. Originally way back when it was called swirl and spit that against the dispute part, we drop nicer, and it's about why once a month about beer and talk about them or kind of an issue in wine that I find. Yeah. And I've always read it. And I always enjoyed it. We even have the occasional tasting in the office where James comes by. And gee, I wouldn't know how that race brings various elixirs. Steve as he sips his white wine out of red Cup. It started with the sparkling wine tasting every. Around the holiday time in the demand that I cannot not doing a sparkling wine tasting. Well. I don't care what anyone says and I played in the eighties. When I was doing top forty radio playing all their hits in the eighties. And it was great stuff incredibly well, written produced some people look to scancen at it. Is that the right word? I think there was a real man's Duran Duran. Yeah. There you go has that. It's in the eighties. Yeah. Yuck. I hate it to her. Andrea. Anyway, we're gonna talk to John Oates. He and his band will be performing tomorrow night at Sweetwater in mill valley. Supervisor Shirley's AIn will join us and our good buddy from DC political analyst Charles Ellison who will be meeting with us. Again in DC, we leave a week from today. Well, yeah. It's going to be amazing had lunch with Bill press in. Lanny Davis defy again and. We're doing all sorts of major CNN stuff with Tom foreman and Ryan nobles and Briana Keeler and everything. So yeah, it's gonna be an epic quick trip. But I can't wait. We're leaving a week from today in fact week from today at this point will be at our hotel in Washington. Well, then we'll James says our cover story this week. Oh, that's right. You have to keep me on track. I go off today. Other reasons. Okay, James night is here. And as I said we've been wanting to get him on for a long time. He wrote the cover story this week in the bowl. Siemian fertile debate. For sonoma's county wine growers. Sustainability is in the eye of the beholder. And we talk about this all the time every other Tuesday with crews from the grape growers. They all started. This sustainability thing but fertile debate. James talk about this. So I wonder how these to play together some people wanna complain that or do complain. What does this mean, I've seen people talk about sustainability is it just a way of saying Deaker sort of organic or or green Washington's people call it or does it have real meaning. On the other hand. I've heard people talk about. Organics in contrast to sustainability as having some deficit like it's is not enough worse sustainability. Is. Organics plus or goes beyond organic actually is the phrase that he used in the article, and so I wanted to see how the how this kind of perceptions play out. And if the wind goes roll this out, and I've heard this. I mean, the wine growers careers has been with us for years every other Tuesday with off the vine, and we have talked so much to so many people about the sustainability program that the great brewers have started and are doing pretty well with it. It's some people say it's a great step in the right direction. But it's not enough. Is that what you're hearing? I don't know. I'm hearing that from some organic growers. Okay. There's a couple of very thoughtful voices where they're not just complaining about the sustainability. They see that. It's a very good program. And it really incorporates. Play welfare things like solar energy and organic practices. But they notice that there's kind of a hole in it. That is not talked about much by the promoters of this initiative and other sustainable programs and that is. Pesticides as one aspect? It's often played down as well. We're doing better, which they are. But what is what is being used? And I was actually a little surprise when I looked at the list. I had I had my doubts about people who in some articles and some other publications letters to the editor at cetera with us. They will the the grape growers are putting all these chemicals on the vineyards. And it's you your words like statues rated Laden with pesticides. And I thought what that's not really true because Greek brewers doing a lot better job in that department and say roundup ready corn. Roundup and stuff like that. You can actually find a list of exactly what has been used as reported to the state of California, and we have two hundred thirty substances that are being put on us. Mccown winery acreage. Not all of these are terrible one of them has garlic. Not so bad. Paraquat Tara cork while remember that. Agent Orange was a big one ingredient major ingredient Agent Orange. I don't wanna get fresh. And that this is what a lot of minders are. No somebody's putting on a hundred plus acres, however in two thousand sixteen another Agent Orange is Donald Trump says secret service name? Did you know that that wouldn't surprise me too story? I thought it was pumpkin head. But. Well, I have a question about this whole will hold on. Dear friend, Caribbean. Cruise is obviously you talked to her at she's quoted throughout this article. I would love to get her and you on. Together, she'll be back with us in two weeks. I guess to discuss this article, and yet she gave me a really great background about the initiative how it came about right, which I couldn't get into detail in this article. Yeah. She lives at the editors. The speaking of that I got now I have a question. Okay. Go ahead. One of the things that when I read this story, I wondered about you know, in other food areas in around. Now there is there is a political debate over who gets to call themselves organic versus not. And I'm wondering are there aspects of the of the wine economy and industry in Snohomish county where you have people who are out there on the on the good foot doing the super organic stuff. But they're getting now kind of lumped in with other people who maybe are not as far along the that sort of that pathway, and is that part of what the this? When you talk about the politics here is that part of the politics here. There's a lot of talk about going beyond organic since not just sustained village talked to a winegrower investable who says, well, I'm going beyond organics. But he says he only uses organically approved materials, and there is a way to know if somebody is farming organically. That's if they're certified organic by CCF or some other find agency of sushi, oh f. He's California organic farmers. Okay. And then there's another scene certifications. If. And so in this costs something, and there are inspections every year, and it has a real meaning the sustainability initiative from wine-growers also has a real meaning because there are inspections every I believe there's a lot of work involved for the yes, Greg growers to to get this certification. I mean, it ain't easy. It's not just hey, we're sustainable, I think one thing that Tom was getting that was that consumers are confused, and they also have impressions of sustainable, and organic and one one aspect of this article that I get into is that consumers are getting a positive impression about sustainability that is based on their navy past association with organic practices like they're better for the environment. I found figures were in studies that they've done because. The wine industry is keenly interested in what legally means to consumers, and apparently many people believe that sustainable means no synthetic pesticides or or chemicals that was about forty five percent in one study. And see that's the thing the difference between saying organic and sustainable, this is where I get a headache. They're really different categories. But I was curious. Whether people were getting the impression that I'm getting the benefit of organic when I get sustainable, but there's something wrong with organics is is increasingly unofficially. And these are people you might meet in the winery who say, well, we're sustainable because of this and the they might use language like organics causes you to drive the tractor more. So therefore, you're adding carbon, you know, and it's is a whole global warming thing now. And so we're connects is polluting the environment instead of. Not flooding environment. Which most people think so it's. This is free. These words can really turn either way. Yeah. Yeah. It's been confusing to me for the most part charisma says it so well when she's here, and she will again, excuse me, she's quoted extensively in James nights articles to cover story this week in the bohemian for sonoma's county wine-growers sustainability is in the eye of the beholder and it's called name game sonoma's county. Wine-growers navigate the politics of sustainability James night. It's been writing about adult beverages and and more in the bohemian for so long. How many years? This particular has been eleven years. Wow. So you started this year before we started this show, and yet you have only been in as as of today. Well, this injustice has been has been has been rectified Gogawa. Yeah. And we need to have you on more. James? You do a great job in the Bobo. I always read it. Thanks a lot safer. Appreciate what else we got. Dude. Oh, we got a whole big paper. Here. Jonah Raskin wrote a fund feature about a guy on the local people. Probably remember what is his name Yaro coup. Brennan who was a cannabis grower and and salesman who wound up doing a year in jail for his crime. And so Jones wrote a really interesting story. Which he originally called the Jew in jail. But which we're calling redemption. And well, it says redemption you in jail and beyond beyond. Yeah. Yeah. We love Joan, Mike. We gotta get Joanna back when we're it's it's been a while when we get back in DC. Okay. Go ahead. So he wrote to Sam profile the guy, and he's kind of time in jail what he learned and kind of how we kind of had a spiritual awakening in jail while he was sweating out these charges, which is a great story. Joan Joan is really a great go-to guy for us. He had a really funny story, which we posted online last week where he went to the the big climate summit that they had an is Francisco a couple of weeks ago. And he, you know, Joe Jonas a man of a certain vintage and he went and he went like that I'm gonna use that. Thing. And he said, oh, you know, I'm gonna go to this thing. I'm going to have to pop a couple edibles. So he goes to this day, and it gets totally blacked out on edibles. And he's sitting there his speeches and essentially comes to the conclusion that I don't want to speak for him redistributes online. But you know, the, you know, the world's not coming to an end. But maybe it is I'm too high on an edible right now. I can't really. Great story so Jonas. One hundred Thompson gonzo thing, and we love we just saw we just had a meeting at the office, and he came by from. And he's got some other stuff. He's working on Olympic author and an amazing dude who was an icon. It's an open state university for God knows how many years absolutely and appellate anecdote, of course. Got a film review of the new documentary about Joan Jett, which is out, which is awesome. Who doesn't love Joan Jack. Mel. You met someone. Okay. Well, see he wants. Oh, look, there's a picture of me. And then we have this..

"And heavily of course joan mike wanted them to do at that point you might i just don't think it would meet sense or the others in the at little sabail right so anyway uh show the final four vote well that wasn't really over except the chrissy got to keep one person and it okay i i need to address something i know there are those out there who say she should have kept band and let devon and ryan faceoff so that ban wouldn't get the benefit of having made fighter which you know you had mentioned something about uh to to me that sounds bit too much like when he twenty hindsight because me i think it made much more sense at the time to put up devon try to finally knockout and it had the added bonus for chrissy that she stay true to her lives with ryan and brought ryan along as he continued to look like he was on her coat tails yet and i really think that this is one of those survivor moves that we could go all the way back to season to with australia when vi decided that he was going to take the person who is more likely to beat him in the end because she was the nicer person and they had a great relationship and they were very close and not take the individual that he knew we could be and in this situation it would have been chrissy saying well i'm going to it's going to look better for my game if i take the stronger guy and let these guys battle it out when really why are you doing that.

"Jeff probst addressed the question of why he would targets your own set of ben when he spoke to josh he said that he understands the idea of joe appearing to be a bigger threaten the moment and if everyone agrees they're going to get rid of ben soon than that's fine they could take out joe now because his crazy energy could flip the game upside down but it still seems like i i don't know widening to me ben was attempting tempting target at that point but the other thing you have to be nine all out in we've already talked about this with chris christie and jp where two votes so you've got my and gel at were kind of acting in that same fashionwear mike and joe or that's two votes instead of one whereas ban is one bo so i feel like with devon and lauren an actually trying to play a numbers game if they're looking at keeping joe then they have to surmise that joe and mike will vote together and if joan mike are going to vote together and if there's any any possibility that ryan chrissy were obviously ousted have any interest in switch in things up again and joe talked about wanting to vote out devon i think that that was that's a risk that they probably didn't want to take because they're losing control if they do that they are completely losing control if they keep ben knowing that banned his i mean his secret agent routine is it's up i mean it's it's it's blown up christie knows rhinos i mean after the voa tribal council everybody knows that ben is is not working with them so ben is almost an asset to them because then is the one who is going to have really upset ryan and chrissy so in order to get rid of ban all devin has to do is go to ryan and say brian can you believe that ben was doing that i didn't know bend was doing outlets vote out ben so devons got an ability to convince ryan chrissy to bow out ben and ashore himself another another yo three days in that game because if ban has pissed off ryan chrissy enough well then hitting him voted out.
