"Vaccinate or I'm bringing the jeffy the deadly plague. Does Bette Midler have kids? Still Isn't she like in her seventies? Yes. Pretty old did she adopt or something like that? Do you imagine that? That was her clever thing. I don't know if she's trying to be funny, presumably, but threatening to kill kids. If someone doesn't inject their kids with a I'm sure she threatened to kill the president. So what's the difference? I mean, you know, she just threatened to kill anybody. Except, you know, I'm a Democrat. In case you're wondering, though, she says stupid things all the time in March, Bette Midler says American exceptionalism is such bull. She doesn't think America's. That grade is a 0.5 days after the death of Rush Limbaugh, she compared him to the Ku Klux Klan. She says the Texas deadly winter storms back in February are payback against our state because we elected Ted Cruz. Yeah, yeah, Mother Nature figured that we deserved a shot. But Miller said that Donald Trump killed people at the insurrection. Who did he kill? Who? Good name. Name. Why would you question her name two of them and tell us how they died. This woman knows things. No bet Mother has deleted a call for China to pay coronavirus reparations. She had it right for a minute. And then she deleted the tweet. How long is it till Bette Midler starts flinging her own poop? It people presumably already doing technically but shot out of a tweet. But I'm physically thinking one day soon. She'll just be reaching back and flinging stuff left and right, and somebody have to come at her with a net. Well, she's in Hollywood. They probably have, like a fecal mud pack or something that they do for that accident. Your skin you rub the feces on your face and hat smells bad, but it's really good for you. Porn is good for you. Or they wouldn't be doing it now in Hollywood now. Yeah. You know, Hollywood is their Hollywood is against the Golden Globes all of a sudden now. Don't know if you have kept up with this kind of thing You're not, but took a look at that. Some Tom Cruise gave back his Golden Globes, which is funny, because isn't the golden Gloves of all the award shows? Isn't that the award show where and the people that when it didn't really mean anything, you just ate lunch with the right producer. It's the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, or HF. P A. And the reason people are upset with the Golden Globes is controversy surrounding the foreign press organization. H F D A for lack of Oh, my God. Diversity, Uh, specifically no black members and also ethical questions related to financial benefits to some of its members. What? There's money in it for them. Well, what kind of Ah Anak ter or other member of the Hollywood elite does things for money? I would assume all of them. I would assume that they just vividly describing all of Hollywood in the sense pretty much. NBC has announced that they will not broadcast the Golden Globes next year. They've already had the Golden Globes this year, and it didn't get good ratings, so nobody wants to part of it anymore. Nobody wants to watch the golden gloves, so we're boycotting it. Tom Cruise has returned his three globes he got for Jerry Maguire, born on the fourth of July and a supporting actor award for Magnolia about 20 something years ago. Very strange movie. So how's your They Don't understand the Golden Globes Here. Let me break down Hollywood Award shows for you. The Grammys music Right? That's an obvious one Academy Award. Academy Awards is like whatever piece of crap aren't we film that nobody saw. Sundance is the same thing. But independent films Me's TV TV. Tony's Broad growing on the Golden Globes are the award ceremony just because It's like you knew a guy. You were friends with the producer and Denzel Washington's The guy who admitted this. He got an award once and he said, I guess, See, I told you it was good that we took Harvey out for lunch. Right? It's political. It's who you know. And sometimes who you never met if the Golden Globes went away, what would be changed in all nothing? Who cares who won last year's best picture? Couldn't tell. Nobody knows. You know what's great about this story is besides Tom Cruise, Scarlett Jo Hanson is also mentioned calling for the community to, you know, take a step back from these events that are sponsored by these evil people with no diversity. Uh, And if you think I'm assuming most actors and actresses in Hollywood never saw team America the movie with the puppets, I'm sure they didn't because it vividly made fun of it. Sure, so why would they go look at it, But there's a scene in there where another actor is talking about. Has actors. We need to step forward and we need to do this and do that and watch the news and then pretend like those new stories are our ideas and She almost gave that speech. Word for word, Scarlett Jo Hanson said, And I quote this part the beginning as an actor promoting a film One is expected to participate in award season by attending press conferences and award shows. And in the past, this is Mitt, facing sexist questions and remarks from members. That bordered on sexual harassment. I believe it is time we take a step back and focus on the importance and the strength of unity within our union and the industry as a whole. I don't think she saw the movie. No, she would know exactly how ridiculous she sounds. She would not say. I was playing a put everybody Walton injunction Radio.

Then you gotta shut down and more which Biden is doing. There's no legislation involved in this. This is just stroke of the pen stuff. And now it's bad for national security. It's bad for the economy. Now you think of it, bring it down on the personal level. Those people that don't have jobs. What is it? Okay. How are they feeling today? I bet that I'm feeling good. They were counting on these jobs counting on this career path that they had chosen as difficult as it is working hard every day. Most people don't work eight hours a day that that's that's a thing of the past. My parents taught me that they laughed at the idea. Eight hours a day. Mother. Prison guard 16 hours shifts regularly. And give them an opportunity to get trained in the new positions while still working and still having an income and then at the appropriate time, switch over from the old technology to the new technology, new way of doing things. Meanwhile, we got lots of people in harm's way. On top of all the stresses related, and that would be the appropriate order of things, wouldn't it? That would be that would be the common sensical way, you know. Oh, no. No. Well, we'll just go get another union job. What do you mean, Go get another high paying union job when you have specialized skills. There's the these are professionals, Thies people that have developed specific skills for for for decades. And they just paid your pink slip. Hopefully, get another job later. Wow. Thanks, Tom. Jerry, Maryland. Hi. How are you? So I wanted to talk about the keystone workers. I believe that on Saturday may 1st may 1st being the day of internationally the day of the worker. There should be peaceful demonstrations. Peaceful demonstrations in Washington see off the keystone workers. All Union members, they said, Go there in the spirit of the organization put together in Martin's working in 1963. And for the Lincoln Memorial. All these years have come forward, fill these city and show the pain destruction being caused by pulling this permit. It's unconscionable 11,000 workers with families, husbands, wives and Children, no paychecks. Worst time of the year. It's It's an outrage, and I really think It should be done before May 1st but any time to organize it's a Saturday. But these these are in the thousands that lost their job. And then then the Leonardo di crap EOS and Scarlett Jo Hanson's of the world demanding We closed the Dakota pipeline that's easy for them to say. "The better weather, But more importantly, they want to get the hell out of cities that a de funding the police, crappy weather, high taxes and burdensome government. I mean New York restaurants. I think there's still closed. They open it all, Linda, because I don't go in there. These things are open. You just have to go on with the mast and 6 ft apart. And don't really not in restaurants that were closed up until what a week ago, right? Well, they've had the outside igloos where they're heated and inside. That's a wonderful decide. Igloos. You know, It's like the dumbest thing I've ever seen. And even those were being shut down. But, um, anyway, Seacrest, I appreciate all the things I wish you the best in your industry. And you know, I'm happy for the people. The sad part is his states like Florida, the Carolinas, Texas, All these red states watch your tax dollars are going to go bail out these big blue states like New York. By the way, it would benefit me and I'm saying don't benefit me. You should not be. Ah, you should not bailout states that elect politicians that can't balance their budgets live way beyond their means. Don't fund their pensions. That's what these governors air demanding from Biden. Even Cuomo threatening to sue Biden. If he doesn't get 15 billion of your red State tax dollars. Don't do it. It's unbelievable to me. Watch that happen next. Told We have a question for you on this, Sean on the whole taxes. Okay? Yeah. Is it right? That one group one Very small group of people gets to dictate where our tax dollars go, because the last time that I checked They worked for us. Krista, this is this is a truth Elections matter. Elections matter. You know, I could sit here all day and say I warned you about this warned you about the one What good it doesn't do any good. By anybody. Anyway, Let me roll the whole on. I wish you the best, you know. Um, I appreciate you calling. It's fascinating. What's going on? Steven, Illinois. What's up, Steve? Hi, Sean. My question Donald Trump ran as a law and order president, and it seems pretty ironic to me. That Anybody would believe that he would incite violence. Against the police and other people. I just haven't heard anybody talking about that. So that's why I'm bringing it all. I mean, the president did say peacefully unpatriotically march to have your voices be heard, but they edit that part out. They don't Listen, This is a show with a predetermined outcome. It always has been. And you know, I we've been rebutting it on TV. I don't even know or would recommend. You know, Some people are frustrated with the opening comments of 11 attorney this Bruce guy. I don't even know the guy David shown. I thought that a good job. I wouldn't spend more than three hours. They don't need 16 hours to just ramble on and hear themselves talk. I think it's the question and answer period that they get to closing arguments and let's get the vote on. Let's move because the votes already predetermined and get back to the business of people. But if they want witnesses all mall I got my list of witnesses ready to go. Thanks. Steve. Tammy, South Carolina. What's going on? Tammy? Are you Flashman? I just make a comment on these four folks have lost their jobs. I understand how they feel. Because we were in textiles in 2000 won. We lost their jobs. Now they make it sound like it's this big fairy tale that everybody's gonna run out and find a job. They're not It took us almost 15 years to get back to the same point that we were my husband and I You know financially, I get it. No, I mean it's terrible. And you can't You can't just run out when you have one steal. I worked in a textile mill for 28 years. You can't run out and grab a job. Especially when you're in your forties, and you think he's a very, very technical, very skill specific jobs that are not easily transferrable from one business to another. I mean, this is that this in some cases or decades of building a career to the point where you really making a good living, and it just got ripped out from underneath you and all the world will you get it? We want you to get another job, but there is no other job. And there's enough Americans out of work now. Because of the pandemic, and then we're gonna legalize millions more to compete for the few jobs that come online, and that's going to drive down wages. Well, that's not going to get them. 100 Grand Plus And it's not going to get him the benefits they used to. Richard Trump that how you feeling today? Unbelievable. How it was with us it you know it took us. May 2 years to find a job. My husband went back to work because he could do just about anything but still, you know, it's just said I feel so sorry for this people feel so I feel so sorry. All of those people. Me too. I really feel sorry and I feel helpless. I don't feel like I can help them. Don't feel like I You know, I'm trying to get people aware. That's why I brought Patrick Morrisey on disease. Attorney General's attorneys general are gonna are gonna help stop some of this. And if we can stop it than these guys, hopefully we can preserve their jobs. You know, But, you know, I'd rather talk about saving the great jobs, careers and lively hoods of Americans and talking about the stupid impeachment crap in the shift show charade that we've got to cover every day tired of it. And when this thing is over, and the president is acquitted, it's time for the country to engage fully. And become aware of what the hell they're doing, because it's not good for American workers. It's hurting Americans. These policies are hurting, hardworking, law abiding, tax paying. Ah, great Americans. That's what it's doing. That's that should break everybody. So I thought they cared about the working men and women of this country. Apparently not. As if they did. They wouldn't be so cavalier about you will go get another union job. We're going to get another union job. We're not going to get it. It's the $100,000 a year jobs that they don't fall off trees. When you got an industry and you gonna wipe out the whole thing, and then have Hollywood recommend you wipe out even more of them. I'm gonna listen to Scarlett Jo Hanson and Leonardo the crappy Oh, God help us. Really give a rip what they They've got their money. Go live their life. Leave leave American workers alone. Zander's going to join us lots going on the in the entertainment world. We're gonna try. I'm gonna try to connect his end Simms any minute now. Um, but apparently did nominations came out yesterday for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and there's a lot A lot of great companies that were that made it into a lot of great people that made it into the Hall of Fame. Jay Z being one of them, but I'm not the biggest Jay Z fan anymore. Although I love his music. I don't know how you feel about Jay Z, but him and Beyonc. They've done a lot of things that you know. I kind of feel like American, not like my friends and Sam's who was quite the Quite the beautiful American, that's for sure. Ava is then with us. She is. Okay. Well, um, let's bring in, uh, Zen Sam's Model actress Supermom and one of the best in the business. She joins me every Wednesday. But then good afternoon and You know, Let me let us know what's happening. First off with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, then we'll get to eat the rich. Um We're trapped. Jay Z. The Fu fighters were among wild nominees. And you know what? Here's some Here's somebody that got some long overdue. Love is legendary diva Dionne Warwick at she's the first time nominee, and she's been eligible since basically 1988. So I'm happy to see that and other first timers on the ballot included the go, Go's And a Nigerian great fella. Cootie. I've never heard of fella Cookie but apparently is a Nigerian great. Meanwhile, we have Carole King and already in the rock and roll since 1990 as a songwriter, she received her first not as a performer on defer the New York dolls. It's basically frontman David joke. Basis. Arthur Killer Kane, the car's Johnny Thunders and Sylvain Sylvain and drummers Jerry Nolan and Billy Mercia Note. Johannesson is the sole living York doll after the recent death of Sylvain Sylvain, and here's a fun one for you. John Joe Hansen is from Staten Island. I heard about that. I think I think I knew That David Jo Hanson was a was a standout in New York. Which is, uh, you know, we got some. Really, You know a Listen Bolanos from stand down. Lady Gaga is from stand down. We have a lot of celebrities. Antonio Miyauchi, the original inventor of the telephone. We actually have the Miyauchi museum here in stand out. History out here. I don't know why Jay Z is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I don't remember him ever making rock and roll. You know, I would agree with you. I don't know why Jay Z is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. But it's one of those phenomenon that based on popularity and social culture, he made his way there. On another note. Bruce Springsteen. For a d w Y in New Jersey, which I'm currently and right now he's 71. I didn't even realize he was that old. He just made a Announcement on for the Super Bowl for Jeep On Sunday, He was narrating a spot and he implored Americans to move toward the political middle in the spirit. Amongst this bitter division, but he was arrested back in November. I think November 14 similar, in fact, to Sandy Brook. But again, these celebrities make headliners for reasons. Other than getting in trouble. Not my cup of tea, John. Yeah. I mean, Bruce Springsteen, in my view, should have been arrested for that commercial. Oh, I'm not kidding. He's full of it as far as I'm concerned, because he's been one of the biggest trump haters out there. And now, all of a sudden he's on simple talking about it about Z Diddy, but he was kind of weird now. Tell me about this new group, the rich plan where I'm only following the little every reference on social. Okay, so the eat the rich. It's not a new concept. Okay, We're gonna go back to the big tech dilemma. So in modern times, it questions why celebrities, influencers and basically huge corporations. And there's the CEOs of these huge corporations hold so much of America's wealth and the freeze. Actually from the 18th century, usually attributed to Zhaan Jack Russo, and it's been used in several song titles and in a few book titles, But it picked up steam again just as the pandemic saw networks of America's elite grown during basically global turmoil. So here is the fact the youngest car death. To the eat The rich. The youngest, Kardashian has 213 million followers and has earned about one point 2,000,001 1.0.2 million per sponsored Instagram post in 2019. Around the time she was officially declared the world's youngest billionaire. Now, how does this relate how much of an impact Internet users, John make by Unfollowed going her on their social media accounts. Well, the answer could be going at all. If the message doesn't travel far, and that's what is this. This whole eat the rich concept. That's what this is about at the very high end of the Influencer marketing period. Large enough that only a sizable drop in overall followers would have an effect on what that influencer can charge for sponsored content it so it's going to take about 20% of losing her, like 20% of her followers to basically drop her for to actually become concerned about any financial shift means like 40 million Follow what we have to one follow her. So we have this girl Gina Bologna, who asked her followers to unfollowed, some of Hollywood and their corporate names to lessen the elites. Giants income and that's where you hear that eat the rich. Her video was posted Saturday and it's earned a lot of steam They've gotten like 54,000. Needed and re shared. But for the bottom line it plays into the bigger picture of cow social media has such a huge influence on how the market moves Last week, we saw basically stock market We saw the power of organized rebellion with the Reddit users at Bree, you know, bringing you I wanted to ask you when you say you know what difference is the make for a few people The UN follow on social media. You know, a few weeks ago, someone may have said now what difference is gonna make of a bunch of young Robin Hood retail account start, you know, buying up all these stocks at the big monsters a short It made quite a difference if it's caught. All the financial markets. Quite frankly, so maybe you know, shorting celebrities, social media is the new way to bring him down a little bit, too. A little bit, but based on the numbers that I calculated like it would take a lot for her to see that financial debt. I mean, the organized attack on hedge funds is what lead this group Remodel this new eat the rich plan, But I think she's wasting her time on this one. Just because of the magnitude of how on the social media platform, it doesn't translate exactly the way translated with the hedge funds in where you can short the stock. You can, you know, create this. This tension in the marketplace. It doesn't really It's not as volatile as the market and so for that, you know, I think she's wasting her time. Another note. Phoebe, did you see Phoebe was that microphone alive? Artist. Is that microphone alive? I see it bouncing up and down and moving all around. No. You know what it was It was not alive. Docked, and then it fell. And now I'm holding it. Oh, I see. I wondering why it's all jumping around. Let me ask you this Phoebe Bridges on Saturday Night Live the other night. Shit. Yeah, it's okay for women to smash guitars. I see no reason why it wouldn't be I mean, listen, and look, here's my mike again. I'm just gonna anchor it right here between.

Who is a biological woman, and also identifies as as a woman. But who is a lesbian? So so it's a lesbian. Right? It's a lesbian. Who, and that is the role that Ellen Page has been playing. And so now, people rightfully have asked, isn't it? Isn't it appropriate? Then that Elliot Page give up that role for someone who actually is a cyst? Gender lesbian? Because, as you know, there have been lots of people who have had to give up. Trans roles because they are not trans Scarlett Jo Hanson, For example, she had to pull out of playing a transgender role in a movie called Robin Tug, and 2018 worry. I know what was the name E was hoping that you wouldn't pick up on that. That's the actual name of the movie. It's the actual name of right and Halle Berry was also considering playing a trans man. And then backed out because she got so much criticism for it. And she was like, Oh, God, I'm not gonna do that. I need to be an ally to the LGBT community. So if that's the case of these are the rules, then why does Elliot page get to continue to play? Lesbian woman. So that look from sitting here in my straight male perspective, which I realized disqualifies me from ever commenting on anything, but I'm gonna I'm gonna take a stab at it here on these flamethrower radio airwaves that go from Ohio, Illinois. It's I don't care what you do right? You do you as long as there's a harmony. What one else you call yourself whatever you want to, But it's society now forces me to embrace it. And celebrated and right. And if you don't not only embrace it, but celebrate it, then you're a bad person. I don't care what you do, but I'm not throwing you a parade or making special rules just for you. And I and I agree with you, and I also think it's absolutely fine for Ellen Elliot whoever to play to continue to play whatever character He was he was playing. But don't then turn around and say that Halle Berry can't play a trans man like that. Either. We have the rules or we don't have the rules. But we can't have a bunch of rules that on Lee apply to some people some of the time and that's what's so crazy And this conversation is important because it's a part of a broader thing that government does all facets of life where the government picks the winners. And the losers, whether it's tax policy or freedoms and liberties or abilities to do things, it's an important conversation because this happens all the time. We weren't equal people. There are winners and losers in all facets of our existence. And this is a just a great example of that. Do whatever the hell you want to do. Call yourself whatever the hell you want to call yourself, but you are not special. Exactly. That's exactly right. And I think that you know some of the people that are asking these questions, and they're I think they're right to ask the questions because it's it's fair to ask. But others are saying Well, straight. People don't ever have to worry about losing out roles, toe trans people, and so that's why this is different. No Either. There are rules or there aren't rules, period. Let's
Leafs beat Predators 5-2
"The break predators fall five to Toronto here in Bridgestone arena predators will close out the month on the road Wednesday and Thursday nights in Washington and New Jersey maple Leafs get the win that and not bring it but still okay organization our hashtag bring it do it let's do it I like I like my idea and the visit to the both I liked howls notes I think we could turn that into a second you said you had some things that we talked once kind of like my little keys to the game yeah okay you know what it will what I think we need to do what I want you know what am I looking for and so those are the kind of my focus is the game goes on and I think the president different focus tonight different notes different notes well I guess Ian we're in a little bit of a stall pattern to someone comes up from the room so tell you what let's just go on and start the first period and if somebody comes up we'll just hit the possible their brochure of its of turning in the slot area and the book is filled out William the lander as in the least take advantage and tickle one nothing lead at four thirteen the goal of the trap resort area they're wrestling match there with Dan and use comes over for the predators left corner of the wall is taken given ahead and now sent down the left wing side creditors have the numbers the blue line left right side right side the shot comes from Canada the reading fielder Austin Matthews and Zach common puts that in two one Jurado lead they go some first feared highlights this is where we hit the radio pause but back here in the post game show their McFarland and how kill now with everybody here in peril house a crowded house welcome Ryan Jo Hanson to the death yes I did a very good job of getting his now but only the commissioner had these headphones on earlier so I'm not the one around their body yeah no flicker on the bronze this is great radio there you go phones are hard that was tough but we made it right thanks for joining us thank you guys I'm sorry for the slow start there is this what you expected ME one against list I get it and the league has done a good job of everybody coming out of the break together it was awkward earlier when a couple years ago when your team's not coming out of a break so when you had over a week off is it tough just jumping out there and play the game Hey on it sometimes feels like he's leaving tonight just for myself maybe speaking for the other guys you're thinking a little too much and so just reacting to the game and and what you do so you try and I get that out of the way first couple shifts in and just play hockey it is this what you expected out of a Toronto team so they started the game while Hey who put a lot of pressure on us and it was made it hard for us to defend it you know we need a better response to start the game tonight and you know given credit became a hard what were you guys talking about after the first period you're down to one at that point just go there and I got the first rate on the way and and trying to build and try and get our game to wear team game nor or or create a lot of opportunities for success and just fell short of that right I was talking about you know when you have a break after the all star break this is kind of a crunch time it goes in and you have a chance to hit the reset button how how big is that right I I we throw away the first game because like you said you're trying to get the feedback on the end opposite the other team to so but how big do you think that that rest is to step away with the coaching change and all you guys went through leading up to that break up it was out for you guys there was a it was nice of a couple days and just you know all understand the process of just one on and and what you need to do is individual to move forward and and take steps of their own games so error this is a very no we just gonna make sure ready for for Washington when the puck drops and and bring our best game for sixty minutes yeah there's been a lot of talk about the little system changes but you said you know the you look a little tentative at the beginning and try to get your feet on you're trying to get comfortable do you guys feel like you're comfortable are getting comfortable with those systems of those little changes make a half you have buffalo game was a great example we're we within the system and just once we've made we we can execute it great and and it was that was a confidence boost I felt for our team and and knowing that and the belief and and our team game that could be successful so males unfortunate tonight but will will work to get right back out the how tough is it when you said at the beginning of trying not to think about things too much kind of what how this brought up you you've gone through a coaching change you've made some adjustments with the new system how tough is it I mean you're you're a hockey player he wanted to go out there and do your thing but you also are doing things differently how tough is it gonna keep the thinking part out of it yeah he you know when you have a week off like that you wanna when the puck drops you want to be great expect to be great your you know you just sent a long break in recovered a little bit of and so you want to go there and do great things and and you know sometimes you you over things that one the punks artistic inner trying to do a little too much and can get away from it that's all but no excuses like you said that they they set up the league where they had the same break same time and and we need to find a way to be better I talked to Matt Duchene after the second period and he was clearly frustrated you guys were clearly frustrated that's another thing how tough is it to keep frustration you guys know it's this is gonna have to put your foot on the gas the rest of the way and your block to close out the fourth month of the season yeah how tough is it to keep frustration out of a room that we all know how hard it is to win in this league and ups and downs and if you let that get to you get frustrated that's one you know things don't go anywhere now we gonna just handle handle the moments and and you know stay poses a group and and confident in and go better business every day you can't you can't back it as last eight minutes again you're all over did you take something out of that Gerry Ford yeah that's you know use your heart game when we played fearless and the last eight minutes of it felt like we were unstoppable yeah and you know that's that that's what can be a frustrating thing where you just gotta understand that we can play like that if we can get to the non stop we're gonna win a lot of hockey and so it also it's also it's a good thing you know we had that great push but it's also frustrating we need that we need that right from the start sure anything fun during the break those are it all seriousness how everybody thinks it's your body but a lot of it's mental to write sometimes it's nice to get that mental break yeah yeah totally so you know it's nice to just pick your feet up for a few days and had not be traveling all over the country and then Donald and like we are so you know definitely beneficial for not just for us but the holy we travel in the next two games to close out the month of January best of luck in Washington New Jersey thanks for this thing I got a everybody we appreciate him coming up will come back and we'll get to the highlights you heard the first free will pick it up from there on the other side here
