"So we did get me thinking quite a bit. A good thing. On the other hand I feel that like when you tell the story of someone who's the best in the world at something I wanna see as many aspects of their lives as possible. I WANNA see the complete picture and I felt that the movie kind of Miss Earth Point by a bit all in all I liked it. I had I had fun watching it. I found thinking about it and. Just one thing. Don't watch this movie when you're hungry I had the worst experience with that. I almost died from drooling by the end. Same. Thing here. But but am the beginning. That's why I went to. For me. I felt a little bit more positively than you and non I I really enjoyed it for what it was like I I, just had such a relaxing time watching and like I really I just didn't notice the time at all when I was watching it I. I was so absorbed into it and I was having such a pleasant time I thought it was funny and it was it was informative and there was a few moments of like like flick his of of office with just just jurors relationship with parents in the brief escapade into even fishing like there were a few moments there. But if if to to to someone I that's not as detailed as Jira. Very. Nice documentary say if you not the of documentaries I would actually wholeheartedly recommend it and Yes I had really time I'd say like some of my doubts more wine on considering it as like compared to other documentary sometimes I'm not like I realize I if I have to critique it, there aqua takes that you can make but. Just as a sensory experienced it's a Lotta Fun. Especially, if you like Sushi I didn't I didn't even last Sushi. Sorry. I. Mean factor that in. I can say as the Sushi lavery, it's been really great. Sushi the respect deserves I enjoyed it's not it's not life changing but definitely worth a watch late night watch some Sushi underside yet. So as we do at the end of each step of our quest, we're going to take a vote will decide whether or not Jiro Dreams. Of Sushi, has a place in the cold request essentials guide. We will each have a chance to persuade each other instead our case for or against the secretaries induction to the quake, and then we will vote with a gentlemanly tip of the hat for you or an ominous stroke of the mustache for knee and the vote must be animus in order for the best my fellow adventure. Let's have a vote so I think that. This experience was positive and fun one. It made me introspective. It made me think about how I do things in what I want to achieve in life. So that's a I. think a pretty big positive on the other hand at field as a documentary wasn't great like there were a few things that I wanted to see. I mentioned before like about his life outside the restaurant about how much innovation goes on there these days which I felt they kind of avoided maybe. I might be way off here but I feel that this movie missed a few important bits and while the story it tells is really thought provoking the movie itself is just a bit lacking I thought it was just Super Fun movie to watch definitely if you've ordered in Sushi and looking for something to watch this this might be thing for year and it's certainly a nice thing to watch when you're not looking for something to intense just like a Sunday night is is that If I said like a Sunday night movie. What does that mean in Israel because for me Sunday nights fest is the last day before Monday and Mondays like nationally like the first day of work for the week. It is the same for you guys not at all like I. Think we're probably one of the. I don't. There's not a lot of places around the world where our Sunday is like your Monday also Sunday UCR, exactly Sunday actually in Hebrew we call Sunday first day. You know it's the first day of the week. So and your weekend it's Friday Saturday I always thought it's weird that like Sunday like internationally is day off because it's the first day of work like according to won't even when by. Less I now because like we have a lot of calendars made in strategy but. Before when everything was made like elsewhere and you'd buy calendars, Sunday would be the fest in the calendar like be the very little so. That's not totally foreign to me that it could be Sunday could be the day of the week but. Now it's like nationally Monday. But so your weekend is Friday sat exactly and that's a funny thing because like when we started this podcast and we I thought about went to put out the episode when to publish the I, saw a lot of posts and read it and stuff talking about that, and they all said that the best time to publish your episode is right at the beginning of the work week because that's when everyone starts her commute and everyone's kind of. Down because they have a full week of work ahead of them, and so I said, cool. Let's make sense I'll publish are episodes on Sunday and I forgot that we're the only place around the world that starts working on a Sunday. So basically, we're putting out our episodes in the middle of the weekend well So you like on a Saturday night all your Baas like today or close a little bit earlier than Friday night maybe a bit. Yeah. Because like everyone goes to work the next day. Yeah. They get an I don't know if they close earlier but get empty earlier. Yeah. So if I said like this is like a nice Saturday night maybe does converted to eighty. Yeah it's Friday. Okay. So this is a this is a lie I'll just say this is a good. Sunday night maybe so I if you're looking to wind down getting ready for the work week or Getting ready for your cheese day man this is. It is Saturday night movie. Yeah. You guys have the Monday morning blues or whatever you guys call it it. kind of literally translates into. Broken. Dick. Sundays. I guess. Like to say I, my Dick is broken or I have a broken dick say I'm sad I have the blues. So yeah, we have broken Dick Sundays but I gotta say. It's not it's not like it's not like a broken dick like because there's a slang word for it so you don't really think. About it when saying that, there's kind of a Portmanteau of a broken Dick that we we say we've definitely and a small little e for explicit on this point. For this little Hebrew lesson, this is a bit of a detail but. My my fear of like my my fear and dislike in terms of always having to convert like money to other currencies like for instance, if they said some forty thousand yen and have to convert that to you know five hundred is trailing dollars and then it Maine's thumbing while there's like certain countries like. That they've been using the euro or something, and then their currency is like sucked out of population and then they start using the euro but like I would always be like, oh, what was this in my old currency charney convert it back to something that doesn't exist anymore just to try to understand like how much I'm paying for things and like no matter how much like us the currency like you'd never really understand the value of money again because it's like no value to you. Like the value of forty, thousand yen is just the value that you could convey added to something like Australia but like forty thousand assistance we it amount of paper. So so where were we were doing closing remarks inviting think I had done of definitely ran out of time so a yield. WanNa make your case. It's always it's always hard going last because everything has been said it's a nice relaxed movie. It lacks a couple of key feature that you would expect from a good movie. It's fun for Sushi lovers..

"And. There's a nice payoff in the end. It yeah, there is a pair of when it of just. E finds the bait early where he sort of there is like a drum suit abate. But. Then he starts doing his US. and. Stuff and you Kinda lose it it started becomes very lucid again, and any kind of puts his foot down and all sort of jumps into revolving Bagan. It's very, it's very satisfying when it all comes together. So suddenly everything like clears up and there's Sure people know this song but it's it's really good. Yeah. Yeah it is. It's very satisfying. Okay. So I'll take a bit to the mental realm. ooh Yeah. So one of my favorite bands. That non actually introduced about fifteen years ago. System of a down and their style really changed throughout their albums. The last two it's a bit more melodic. I think. Yeah. So the two last albums are called Mesmerized, and then there's hypnotized and I'll play the first song from the from that I album mesmerise. The vibe here is completely different from everything. We heard so far like it's not it's not meant to ease you into the album system of down wants to shake you like it wants to to surprise you and the intro here is really short, and then he dives into into another song and I'll try to play just the start of the next one. So kind of feel the transition and then I'm GonNa delay the last song from the last album and they I think it's really beautiful how they closed this dual album recalling the first. The first one. So this is the first one. Uh. Here by. But that's kind of like it's very. Nice melodic and then goes down and you kind of start hearing distortion, and then like just goes directly to.

In bee shortage soap bubbles could help with pollination

"Bees are a big part of the life cycle of plants, carrying pollen from one flower to another and allowing plants to produce their frequently yummy output, but with bee populations on the decline. What could possibly take their place? How about soap bubbles? It may sound fantastical, but Jiro Bianco and his colleague at the Japan. Advanced Institute of Science and technology have used battery powered bubble makers to pollinate a pear orchard. The details of their magical realism approach to agriculture are in the Journal is science. A few years back, meow, and his team tried to mimic the pollinating prowess of honeybees by retrofitting at two inch long toy drone with brushes made of horsehair. They looted the device with pollen suspended in a sticky gel, but the tiny flyer was tough to control its hairy little applicators ended up damaging the delicate floral targets. After spending some time blowing bubbles with his son, miakel started thinking more seriously about these soapy little marvels he figured bubbles would be sticky enough to carry and deliver a pollen payload, but soft and flexible, so they shouldn't hurt a blossom when they land and then pop. The researchers chemically. Their soapy solution to make bubbles that were mechanically stable and actually enhanced the pollination process. Out in the orchard, they aimed their souped up soap bubbles at row after row of pear trees, and they found their bubble system were just as well as the labor intensive pollination by hand. Pear trees pollinated by bubble ultimately bore fruit a sweet sign of success. Miyoko has also revived the drone program this time using a larger model equipped with a machine that unleashes a bubble blitz and has a big advantage over the hand held. Model we call is fully autonomously comes. By GPS was google. So the drones can make a beeline to where farmers need them. To be.

Maduro Announces He Has Been In Secret Talks With The Trump Administration

"Venezuela's president nicolas maduro says he's been in secret talks walks with the trump administration for months. That's despite the united states not recognising madero as venezuela's legitimate leader. I'm joined now on the line by scott lucas. Who's a professor of international relations at the university of birmingham skull. The trump administration confirmed that it's being talking to senior members his videos team. They haven't said it was actually jiro. Though do we know if this is true madero but it's effectively the power behind madero how the head of the national constituent assembly which is a body set up in two thousand seventeen extensively to write the constitution but really to secure major on power has has been in talks with us officials on several occasions over the past couple of months it was something that donald trump trump and his characteristic mystic way to sorta spill to reporters yesterday and then madero himself came out of hours later and confirmed that the talks are ongoing so the question is not have the talks taking place. The question is what is the substance of the talks. <hes> there are rumors flying around everywhere one rumor is is that is to negotiate terms from borough to depart from power with surender that he will not be arrested by a new government in venezuela on the venezuelan side they are saying saying that these talks are to secure madero and power and that they are trying to finally once and for all put behind the u._s. Efforts to overthrow him by supporting the opposition russian right now. We don't have clarity on which of those stories is true scott. There seemed to be quite a public effort going into ousting the euro of course this has been happening behind the scenes for some time and continues to happen obviously but as far as the public effort from the u._s. is concerned. Things have gone a little bit quiet in recent times. Can you recap florist. What's the current state of things well what had happened. <hes> back in the spring is that america trump administration officials especially the hardliner john on bolton and the second statement pompeo thought they had a real opportunity.

So there's this is an opportunity for the G see guys to like, I said, not just test themselves. But also, you know, somebody's gonna lose some people are gonna lose some time climate hill. So I think I think that, you know, between the let's say if we if you talk about, you know, on paper six favorites, which are know Dumoulin late in nearby. Simon Yates Lopez in Lambda, I I could easy to see, you know, a guy like Lambda lose dirty to forty five seconds through the guy who wins, which is you know, if forty five seconds. That's that's that's a lot of time in eight kilometers when the when did you still has to start? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You gotta figure that's probably a of the forty five seconds. It's thirty seconds of it is is into K if if not more. And then also this this year's Jiro has three individual time trials. I mean that I know you're a big land chief talk, very fondly of Dumoulin. And that helps his case doesn't nine. I'm sorry say that again that's looking that favors a writer like doom land to to put time in on on the time trials. Yeah. Where where he his engine doesn't ignite as quickly on the climb. And again, just looking quickly at the at the, you know, the long or the one of the other time trials, I mean, they're not flat through tough time trial. So that's for big roller like him. I would I would say I would say that the time trial in stage on stage nine minutes thirty five kilometers. But the last twelfth Llamas are uphill. And I appreciate it. But when we got great guests like Jennifer horn and Charlie cook, then you understand, but please call us eight three three three three Gorkha G O R K that's eight three three three three four six seven five two. Let's go to Mike in California. Who's been waiting a long time? Mike talk to us about the state of the union. Dr gorka. Thank you. I think that President Trump did a wonderful job. However, I was just appointed that he left out. I was disappointed that President Trump left out the second amendment, and he could have totally nailed the Democrats on the second amendment and three different ways. And first of all he could appointed out that the last forty years and the most complete accurate scientific research mcdon- control increases, violent crime and never reduces crime. So Democrats are on the side of the criminals on the side of the second point. He could've made is that gun control has a very long history deeply rooted in racism going back to before the civil war. That's why the NRA was created to help African Americans defend themselves. Absolutely. That's right. And the NRA was actually created by a union army general and a Colonel. And yet you had that movie pulling for Columbine by oh, what's his name? Michael Michael Moore. Yeah. Like more that was supposedly a documentary was whole claim falsely claimed the NRA. It was created by KKK members, which is false back as you know, the KKK the KKK was created by Democrats. It's a swing wing of the Democratic Party. Another point that Donald Trump. Stop stop here for a second. Mike. Why given everything else in the last two years? Why are you worried about the president and the second amendment? Well. He's been pretty because I'm worried. So-called compromise on bump stocks. Okay. I felt that was a big mistake to do anything with failing bump stocks cause anyone can make them the way the Democrats get laws and regulations written. They tried to grab a lot more than what they say. They're grabbing. So when they say, they're banning one type of firearm end up banning a whole lot more when they say, they're batting one kind of ammunition magazine or anything they really lie. They grab a lot more. And the news media covers up for them and goes along with them and this entraps, otherwise ordinary law abiding Americans who believe they're complying with the law because a Democrat Paul Dickson, the news media lie to them. It's doesn't affect you. So you don't need to oppose it. And then one day they get arrested that they're violating a law that they had no idea could be a legal either. So your son is in the president. Your concern is the present opening a window that the Democrats would exploit right? And also, he no way did open a window because then you had Stacey Abrams come in and give the rebuttal to his speech. And this was really despicable because here the Democratic Party use a black woman to wrongly attack. President Trump for not supporting the Democrats are racist and counterproductive gun control agenda, and he's a black woman to basically promote extremely racist policy. Let me stop. Let me stop you there. Mike after she gave her address. I went on Twitter. And it's stunning. Thank you, Mike for your call this last point about states Abrams. Time magazine, I clip them out the the collage of time magazines Twitter feed, FOX nother incredibly biased news platform, the Huffington Post and axios all four of them. The lead thing they said as that this is the first black woman to give a state of the union response. They're obsessed this this obsessive this obsession with race for me. That is racism if that's all you want to say about somebody's this skin color. It tells you everything that you need to know about these people, and I think that's one of the reasons that this man won the election because I can tell you having worked for him. He doesn't see race. He doesn't see color more of your calls in a moment. But now a personal challenge to you. My dear listener. I challenge you to think of at least one thing that you no longer. Do you wish you.

Ten day race that Jiro Orosa call it it's run. "Mountains all the more amusing on a little bit strange strange jiro can get everyone from the middle east to sicily very easily bought struggled to get writers off a moment and in the middle of italy and those are the technical aspects of of jiro star the political context is one a lot of people have obviously gone touch but and it's so incredibly complicated that we decided in the kulm two zero that i mentioned earlier to rather than to to reflect on our own experiences there to hear the points of view of various people with very different perspectives so we had his rallies some people who live there some cyclists sylvan items i mentioned and we heard from some of the other writers in the race and also from some palestinian cyclists who were taking part in an alternative jiro and i hope that people find interesting thought provoking and did highlight aspects of being journalist i get a little bit irritated by sometimes the pressure to come up with an answer and tell people what to think and i think the the rule of the reporter is to report and to give people information to try to inform them but not tell them what they should think and this goes to reporting of cycling as well which is oversee far more frivolous and doesn't matter to the same degree is things matter and israel but it's the same principle i think this was a whole other level of complicated and as i as i speak today on monday on the fourteenth of may is you know the today a big day in israel with the american embassy opening jerusalem which is highly charged.
