"Coming up on 9 41 This Tuesday, August 11th. Good morning. Once again, I'm Mandy When you was Jimmy taking the week off. He'll be back with us on Monday morning. Slowly but surely it looks like the college football season is on the brink of being canceled The story. Many of a sports fans have dreaded and now little by little, it is happening. A some smaller conferences and universities have already canceled their seasons. Some of what they referred to as the Big Five Conference is said to be on the verge of doing so. Maybe even with some announcement today, will we have college? Football at all this fall. It's discussing with an expert and someone in the know at least as much as you can be these days. Rick Horrow is a sports marketing and business analyst and consultant. You could follow him on Twitter at Rick Horrow and his website is horror. Sports. H o R R o w sports dot com. Good Morning, Rick. Good to talk to again. Good morning, my friend. How are you? Well, maybe Vladimir Putin Sae's college football. What do you think? Well, if anybody can, it might be him. What? What has happened there reports today that the Big 10 will announce that they were canceled their fall football season. The Pac 12 the Pac 10 possibly following suit. At this point. Those seem to be the only two that are moving in this direction. Will it happen today? Well, I don't know is the bottom line. I could give you 10 minute answer and then say, I don't know, But let me let me put it this way that the college football crowd has a lot different governing structure than the NFL. Roger Goodell can decide exactly what he wants to do with all 32 teams. For years. College football has had a president, but it's not really somebody with authority. To guide everybody. The power Five conferences, as you said, are the big guys and those are the ones that make over $200 million a year or so in sports and football. They also have some pressure to play because they fund the basketball in some ways, but certainly the smaller sports And the title nine sports, and so there will be a really significant incentive to try as hard as they can not to wipe out this season, regardless of fans. Why, because television dollars are there for the taking. And many of the school's needed and in the long run. This is about all of those big big dollars at that football brings in but the reports to indicate the big 10 and and maybe even the Pac 10 will be canceling today. Are you surprised that they wouldn't even try to give it a shot? I mean, there are protocols that you could put in place and it sure looks like the A. C C and the SEC are planning on moving forward one way or another. Well, there are liability issues. Clearly it happens with everybody. But the colleges are also worried. And then the other dynamic is the presidents of the universities have the final say in each school and, frankly, with schools a lot of it with remote learning if you're not gonna have people on campus It's very hard to justify having athletes on campus and and although that generates a lot of money, the other issue is, you know, everybody's talking about a uniformed cancellation or not some conferences, it is possible May say, Let's go to the spring. Some conferences may say Let's play a limited schedule. Some conferences may say we don't know yet. Let's kick the can down the road and wait for this marvelous cure, right vaccine and Some schools may say Look, wink, wink nod nod. I may go to another conference just for a year and ride it out. So we have conference realignment years ago when everybody was going to different places in the country and different conferences. We may see some of that in the next week. By the way, this is not the beginning of the end. This is the end of the beginning Direct. There's also the argument that especially for a lot of these much smaller conferences and smaller schools that may be moving to a late winter early spring football season, would be more met official because they'd have a lot more TV coverage and really have you know the football audience to themselves. The Western Athletic Conference cancel last night along with the Mac, the mid American conference. I'd love to see the Western Athletic Conference up in the mountains play winter schedule, but that's had to see that and a zoo, we said The other implication here is remember where the national championship is its South Florida, but there may not be a national championship this year. The bottom line is if you have schools playing in the winter, some playing in the spring, some playing in normal schedule had he heard the cats in a way to get him altogether for a national championship. Just a thought. Speaking of herding the cats, the MLS the NHL, the MBA, they've all had their returns to play without too many disruptions less so in Major league baseball, but they're still playing as well, obviously a little bit different when you're dealing with college kids and as many players as those college football teams out Yeah, And the issue also is coming from different places, having less governors and these air not although some people would disagree. Professional athletes, and so they have another priority, which is going to school and get educated, and that's one of the main differences. Then we've already seen some of those bigger name college athletes opt out of this season. Whether there will be one or not, if you have to guess Will we see college football this fall? I'm gonna leave it alone, though you you're expecting quickly. I do expect an answer. Yes, but that's my heart, and I hope my head and I'm honestly saying 72% of the fans who were surveyed said that they would not go back to a stadium until there is a vaccine. And of course, we're not talking about crowds and stadiums. But I'm just suggesting that's what's happening today may have some ripple effect. Whether it's true or not, may have some in terms of vaccine may have some ripple effect on all of these conversations. I must talk. Let's talk soon. Fans might not go back to the stadium, but they will surely watch on television in the ratings would be through the roof, Rick, always a pleasure having you join us. We'll talk again soon. Simon right, 9 46 on NewsRadio, 6 10 WMD, and we check in once again with Rory O'Neill, who joins us with what's trending at W I od dot commer Manny Here's a poll question. Does the mainstream media treat President Trump fairly? It was roughly broken down 30% evenly between Democrats, Republicans and independents, 39% feel he's been given an unfair reception. On the other hand, 39% believe he's been treated fairly. My favorite is 21% say he's been treated very fairly. I don't know what very fairly, you know, not in that context, but not surprising. It would break down exactly like that. Isn't that great? 24% believe that Biden, 43% rather believe that President Trump takes more heat than Joe Biden going into the into the two conventions that air starting in the next two weeks, We'll put the survey up w dot com Alright. Yeah. Speaking of Joe Biden we've got we've got the latest news on an ultimatum that was given Him yesterday. I'll tell you what that is, and we'll wrap up the show giving you the latest numbers as well on the Corona virus here in South Florida. Those good trends positive trends seemed to be continuing. So we'll come back. Rory, Thanks.

"Watchtower, Jimi Hendrix that guitar that he played in the early sixties, sold at auction with 216 K boys and girls. He was a young Morocco in York City four times the pre auction estimate. They said, 50 to 60 right We talked about this the last time. Hendricks began playing this sunburst electric guitar made in Japan after he was discharged from the Army in 62 that he was even in the army. After leaving Fort Campbell. He moved to Clarksville, Tennessee. For a short time, man. They must have thought he was something else in Clarksville, Tennessee. He played on the chitlin circuit with Wilson Pickett, Slim Harpo, Sam Cooke, I Cantina and Jackie Wilson. I didn't know you played Jackie Wilson for he moved into Harlem. In 1964 where he stayed until 1966 playing venues such a cafe Wah and the Cheetah Club. "Early. Yeah, we're still about a month away from the peak of the season like September 10th or so, eh, So there's plenty of time, but right now we're kind of being protected by a lot of dry air around Florida. Yeah, a lot of dry air hanging around out over the Atlantic somewhere here in a little bit of stability, little dry around that system. That is forecast, though by some of the warm arranged guidance to change later in the month in early September, got about 87 88% of the Atlantic hurting hurricane season that go statistically so long ways to go manage. Alright my brother, Thank you so much will talk tomorrow morning. Okay. All right, 9 13 Now on NewsRadio, 6 10 W Y o D. We're now 83 days away from the presidential election in November. We are just one week away from Florida's primary election. It's next Tuesday and those of us like Jimmy and I would like to vote on Election Day, We'll head to the polls with masks and tone. I will. Election day work on what has the vote been like thus far? Let's discuss all of that. Maura with the Broward Supervisor of Elections, Peter Antonacci, who joins us right now, Peter, an absolute pleasure to speak with you. Thank you for the time. Good morning. So what can we expect next Tuesday on Election day for those of us that vote on the day itself? You're going to be different experience from the past. You have seen your polar all mass with gloves. And your man. So the wipe down the privacy boots in the common areas. You're not going to have to touch anything. All you'll have to do is hold your license and presented that I beat you. Wanted by a magic Reagan will make sure you're the right person on the voter rolls, and it will be a a sanitary situation much different than in the past. Are you concerned about having enough poll workers We remember earlier this year. Ah lot of poll workers didn't show up course it was just the beginning of the pandemic. Do you think that's all been settled? People are more secure and the protocols now Perhaps that and perhaps the fact that we brought on our co workers who were primarily seniors. About 75% of them are warriors. They're ready to do their civic duty, and we're real proud of him. Early voting in Broward got underway This past weekend continues through Sunday, the 16th How would things gone so far? And what is what is turnout been like Ah! Early voting has been steady and slow about 7000 votes on the 1st 2 days and, Ah, that's a little more than I thought. But it's a pretty good, pretty good turnout. I know you've been planning for months for a big increase in voting by mail and Broward County. I imagine you've already seen that not only the number of requested ballots but also in the number of balance that have already been returned to your office. That is the case with we've mailed out about 420,000 requested ballots on when perceived around 125,000 return, expecting will receive about 50,000 in the next How does that compare to a normal, you know, Primary election year? It actually compares more towards the general election in a presidential year. Okay, Very heavy vote by milker. Alright, I imagined. I imagine you will take lessons that you've learned in this primary and applied to November the warnings from the president that November's election will be full of fraud because of the expansion of mail in voting or because some states are sending ballots to all registered voters. We don't obviously do that here in Florida. We're different. We've been doing this for a long time. But you have spoken out about your confidence in our system nationwide. TTO handle this increase in mail in voting. I can't speak for the nation. I can only speak for Broward County. But being here in South Florida on our pump each day, Broward megalopolis. The one thing I am concerned about is Voters not Protecting the privacy of their ballots. You know in the past, particularly in day we've had these Botero's that have run around town and allegedly to help people with their about I've encouraged people to protect the privacy. Of their ballots, protected confidentiality and don't give your ballot to strangers. I know there are several things that people have to do if they're using a mail in absentee ballot, whatever you want to call it, and and they want to make sure that that their vote counts because a lot of these mail in ballots are thrown out. For some reason, somebody forgets to sign the outside of the envelope or anything. What are those things that people need to make Sure they do before they returned their mail in ballot to your office. Mail it timely like today, send it in everybody that's gonna have about We'll have one no later than tomorrow, Send it in and sign it. And if you're concerned about the post office, you can drop it off in our offices downtown or the water Go mall, or you can drop off your vote by mail ballot at any of the 22 early voting sites. The locations of what you want on the broad as well. I've gotta hand it to you. Mr Antonacci, Broward supervisor of Elections office does not have a stellar reputation. Over the last 20 years. You were brought in and sure seemingly seemed to have straightened. Ah, lot of those things out, and I know personally I'm an empath voter. I've had to change my party affiliation to vote in the primaries election as I did for next week's election. And within days of registering on your website, I had my brand new voter registration card with my.

Stick it out of the ground to five foot pieces. Ten, feet apart like That's my laser job in four hours. Anyway it's. It's not it could have been a lot worse. It's you know these things whenever these guys dig a funny thing was once got tremendous trench to the electric from the street. They had to put three-phase cable from the street all the way to the barn and Derek from Maldon came over one day and he's like looking in the hall and he goes you know you guys cut a phone line didn't don't Cha we did. When he point he pulled in the hall had been dug for like a month I didn't even notice city because that's what he does for a living. In look look and it was a cable like about as thick as my wrist with about twenty thousand wires in it. Ripped right. Open idol even looking at it from one angle ciders thought it was a water of black water hose which water was coming out of it gets its abandoned but if you look at it from the other direction is like. Ten thousand wires hanging out of the, but they will cut very cleanly. And he goes how long ago did you cut this? They broke it about ten days ago he does no one's come to bobby nope because then it must be abandoned. Because usually when these things break, they know right away. Oh yeah and. Because there was a it was his is the bucket. So one half of the why was ripped out of the wall and laying face into the mud so I just thought it was a hollow black water to. And the other one was sticking out from the angle. You couldn't feel the wires anyway. And then about ten feet away in the trees have grown into one of the trees is A. Porcelain. Placard from. Bell telephone. And it's grown into it's gotta be from like the fifties on in the forties because half engulfed in the tree in his bell telephone. So that must be and then when we dug up a French drain by the Barn. By the other by the machine shop, which is about four hundred feet away they found the same cable. It's not gonNA work. That's what people do. That's fun. Anyway other than that. What are you up to? What have I been up to whip building trailers didn't put a movie out last week as building trailers. We're building eight bullet Bourbon trailers that are going to go to Texas in the last ones I built over probably few weeks maybe four weeks four to five weeks considering the prototype. Now, this eight I started last Thursday now it's almost one week later and they're just about there about seventy five percents done. WHO's still out to do the doors for build bumpers but with a team here, the team that I got helped me out is incredible everything's moving along swiftly. And, we'll make tires. Sixteen fake tires at a plywood. In every single tired uses up just about one full sheet of plywood. And takes thirty minutes to cut because there's I didn't count this probably sixty pieces that I cut out like little arcs of circles we connect them together. To make related them together like a like A. Layer cake then six layers apply what makes up one tire. When fake tire everyone's like why don't you just buy tires because that means that I have to buy tires with Rennes connect the rims to something that's both if I keep it all would I could just nail screw everything. And if I do the cost analysis, it's probably the same amount of money to buy the plywood and take the time to put it together. But I don't have the the ability to just nail in screw I have to Baltin get involved all the Have to down the rabbit hole of using the trailer equipments connect tires as opposed to just using screws announced nothing has to turn so it doesn't matter.
Amy Spowart, Head Of The National Aviation Hall Of Fame
"Many years especially when right field was more impactful when the foundations of today's age were taking off so much research with here at Afrl, and there's all kinds of research and aerospace research places that are here. It made a lot of sense Scott Crossfield even said to me once amy, you're not a pilot unless you through right field everybody who's anybody flies through right field, and of course, you know in the early days, there were Ayla celebrity who always came on China and it was John Wayne and Jimmy Stewart. Who's who I remember? My first enshrinement in nineteen ninety, nine Ted Williams came at Joe Foss. We've had John Travolta Dennis, quaid miles, O'Brien all been and sees it the hall of fame event but I would say following the economic downturn of two thousand nine and companies started to pull out of the Dayton area. It was harder to get that kind of support. So while the city of Dayton wholeheartedly loves having the hall of fame here we also Need people who can sponsor because we receive no federal state or local funding at all whatsoever. So we have to depend on aerospace aviation companies industry to support US and in Trimbe it was a big help us getting brand recognition. It's never been moneymaker. It's part of our mission to memorialize. So we need people to support our education and support are learning center through sponsorship. So what we decided to do in two thousand seventeen is actually take quote unquote. Show on the road, the Oscar night of aviation left Dayton and we went to Dallas first, and then we went to DC in twenty, eighteen and Denver and twenty nineteen than we were supposed to have a homecoming here in twenty twenty. But of course, the this year has been postponed until two thousand, twenty one we're working on getting is back to the National Aviation Hall of fame in Dayton use an abbreviation there a F- on the Air Force research. Lab. So. Here Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Employees. I think it's twenty to thirty thousand people in. Southwest Ohio, and only about less than half of those are active military. So there's a lot of research scientists here, and that's where the United States air force does all their most important research everything from what they're going to build aircraft out of to what their munitions do and Jet Propulsion. It's all located here in Dayton at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Still is very much a hub of aerospace activity. especially from the military and. Speaking of which there are signs that the or the appeal of aerospace is not resonating with the youngest generation do you sense that and if so is the hall responding in some way? It's hard because it's just like covert. The company's nonprofits that survive cove. It are the ones who are going to adapt and react to the situation with kids with this next generation they're not so much looking up lake weeded or the generation before me did Neil Armstrong stood in one place and what's fair to the sky and we all know the Wright brothers played with a little plastic helicopter type thing that inspired them. So we need to appeal to kids in. What interest them? So that might be if they're interested in the environment, they WANNA make less noise from aircraft. They want less jet fumes from cargo plane. That kind of thing we have to say, why not you? Why don't you figure that out? It makes me think of enshrining clap Myra who wanted a safer jet plane. So he thought about it and thought about it and he Allen Clapp mark came up with this idea of putting a parachute on the top of. A plane and everyone's like that's not gonNA work except the vision jet is pretty remarkable. So what we need to do is have kids interact or read about or they have to know who Bill Mayer is, and it isn't just Alan Shepherd. It isn't just the astronauts it isn't just the inventors it's all the Chinese and they can inspire kids more than just an aviation. It could be designed it to be dreamers that could be artists, but if we all have. Heroes. That's what gets kids going and if we give them a problem like make less noisy aircraft or might be a kid who's a Gamer and they sit on the computer all day, they're actually going to be fantastic drone pilots. We just have to recognize what they're doing and adapt to it.
Negotiators Close In on Coronavirus Aid Deadline With No Deal
"More than a week's worth of meeting still no deal reached between Democrats and White House negotiators on a massive corona virus stimulus package. The White House and Republicans are still trillions of dollars. Apart from Democrats on how much to spend for the next Corona virus relief Bill. Democrats won over three trillion to go towards unemployment benefits, food aid help for renters and more House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. I feel optimistic that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, but how long that tunnel is remains to be seen. The GOP is looking for just over one trillion, while White House chief of staff Mark Meadows says talks or slow going. This is not a fine wine. It doesn't improve with time. The administration says negotiators are working towards an understanding of the major issues by Friday

Survivor of world's first nuclear attack recounts Hiroshima bombing 75 years later
"For survivors of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, Japan. 75 years after the attack. Fox's Simon Owen has that story. Hideko Tamara was 10 years old when her home in Hiroshima, Japan, collapsed around him. It's 75 years since the U. S launched the world's first nuclear bomb attack. I don't want this happen to anybody else ever again, now 85 Tamara is among a dwindling number of survivors. It is still warning against the use of nuclear weapons. My health is fragile. And I'm doing this not because I'm physically really in top shape and able But because I'm so determined The attack helped end World War two, but it killed 140,000 people. Simon Oh
Addressing Cybersecurity Breaches in a COVID-19 Environment
"Time we were talking in person at the Sava Fusion Center in Sydney and has in the world challenge since we recorded that particular episode and I think it's a really Opportune. Time now, considering accenture has allowed incident response team in various parts of the world but obviously here in the I said Ole side on the tops of attacks the is being used and indeed the motivational the reasons for those attacks I think we might come to you first off the shift in the landscape I've the last few months and particularly since episode one some of the okay from the incident response time. Yes. You'll Chris really really interesting question I'm. I think all follow back to sort of March timeframe when things really starting to get started we saw massive uptake, Immuno covid nineteen themed fishing spear phishing email attacks, which is pretty consistent. With every time we've seen some major political shift or a major incident that gets people's emotions engaged. cybercriminals are pretty quick to the tactics to focus on that to exploit those emotions to get people to. Click on links and install alway but there's absolutely no denying sitting back now in where we end of July and looking back since that time frame it's all about ransomware. It is an absolute epidemic. We are saying certainly strategy. I don't think we've ever seen anything of what we're saying right now but even globally, I, mean there are massive companies just in the last few days Gombe and is all over the price and they've had an unprecedented attack. So I think ransomware is a is a big. Uptick we've seen in terms of changing the threat landscape, but the motivation full that ransomware, and also we've had some federal government, even prime ministerial level announcements in terms of the, but they'd foreign nation state actor motivation, but these ransomware attacks. Ransom crew ransomware crews, running these these campaigns will what what can enterprise be doing? What are you advising your clients in this? And what does what are some of those key controls that enterprise have to stop to get rot? That strike question I think come going back to the whole sort of state basting thread actors in the motivation. What I'm looking at. The question everyone was asking Ileana. These why we sing his uptick you know what's the connection and I've been racking my brain to try to understand what is the connection between the change in circumstances pulse covid nineteen and the increase in ransomware attacks. And what what we've managed to not come off the back of a major incident response way with we're added for sort of full wakes going up against the very threat actor the ICS's sent had only the intelligence reports at-bats June. And what what we sort of fan was during that analysis with different tactics use that I've never seen used before. A lot of the trade crafts very very similar but what we saw will threat actors. The actual attack is doing the attack that to deploy the ransomware with very very unskilled. These were not people who were very sophisticated in terms of their trade craft knowing what they were doing, but they were following a script and they were using automation and so what what I worked at pretty quickly in that sort of analysis was that what we're dealing with the question of why what's the connection but it's how how have threat actors managed to scale operations so quickly and I think it's been a combination of a more automation scripting intend to these attacks in the playbook they using. And possibly more outsourcing in points about the multiple parties they in gold in a ransomware as a service, it's a thing that's used by criminals who break in and gain access to monetize the access that go. So there are different actors during different parts of the service certainly inexperience what's what's been Jimmy leading to this massive uptake is the scale these attackers can now will brian up. So was the to the cut and paste approach, but it wasn't necessarily one act up. More based tools, the automated tools and also some of the services the as you said, the ransomware is a service. Became was it would you? I would the word be unleashed for anyone to use or did you get a sense of was potentially coordination there or was it just? Just. Random tiles in the application of these tools. Now, that's that's a great question. So the ransom web. The to us to make the money to the stuff that actually encrypt dot or an extra traits daughter where you put your, you know your bitcoins into it's an automated platform. There was no human direction. It is literally you get a self service ticket you go up to a you know this this website on the Dogwood you punching you ticket number it tells you how much you need to pay. The whole process is automated, and so that's that's just like A. Sas Platform that the attackers are using to monetize their tax and then the people who do the ransomware extortion they split the proceeds with the attackers had actually broken into the organization and gain the access necessary to deploy the ransomware tools. Now, this first group of people actually breaking, they're the ones where we're seeing a local coordination. So it's not once right active multiple tread actors, but one of the groups that does this figured out how to scale operation that got. Literally play by play. I you run this command then you run that command and they didn't gonNA help this. If you get stuck, there's a website you go to someone can give you help, and so that's that's what I think. The big difference we've seen in the last six months as the scale of people being compromised. Has Gone up substantially.
Wil There Be A 2020 Season For The Dolphins
"The Dolphins just had their first player opt out of the season, the wide receiver Allen Hurns decided believe he's got a baby on the way. And so there's There's reason why players decided not to play this season question is that we're gonna have a year it all well. We're pleased to be joined by a Mondo Salgueiros of Miami Herald columnist covering the Miami Dolphins, the NFL The author of the upcoming book 100 Things Dolphin Fans should know and do Before they die. I will be out on September 8. And you follow him on Twitter at Armando saw Gary Marty Armando. Good morning, Jimmy. How are you, sir? I'm doing pretty well, my friend. I hope one of the things in your new upcoming book 100 things to do before Dolphin fans need to Dubuque and no, before they die is Actually being able to watch a dolphin football game in 2000 and 20. Do you think that'll happen? Well, I believe that there will be ableto watch a game or two or five. You know, at the beginning of the season, I don't think that's the major challenge a cz we've seen with the other sports. The launch is possible and the launch is often successful. I don't know about the landing. And the reason is, obviously you know, no one can for tell what the situation is going to be around the nation in December. In January. We don't know what we don't know. So I think that it's pretty fair to say that the NFL season will we'll get off on time. The Dolphins play the New England Patriots on September 13th. And I'm pretty confident that you know that game will will happen. But if you're gonna ask me well, will they be in Buffalo? Ah for the final game of the season in January. There's no way I can tell you that. You know, it's a tough call right now. I mean, you look at the Marlins and now what happened there and lower matter where they sit around in a circle or something. What were they doing? It's just discernibly. Um, are you allowed out there our mother or the the beat reporters a lot out there or not at this Att. This point during the acclamation period, and that's what they're going through now with strength and conditioning and walk throughs. The teams, or at least the Dolphins have not opened there. Their practice field and facility to reporters. In August, August 17th when they actually begin padded practices. Uh, you know, the field will be open to us. We will be able to see And watch the practices from the stands. You know, while they're on the

We're back here with Jimmy. Pardo Pardo right though. It's not you know Jimmy. Pardo aright the lose theme of Little Bit of this. Podcast is about a growing up. How we now people who are technically grownup. Sort of like. What does that mean? Were you scared to grow up? I don't think I did know this is the truth when my son was born. I remember I quit. I work for. Mci records again six digit paychecks. All right bragging at twenty two. Wow so left that to do this right so to make one hundred fifty bucks a week like left hanging on rockstars so so that really believed in yourself. That was risky stupid. Yeah I I basically traveled in my car where we stand up comedy Honky tonks and so on so I when my son was born I felt like well. Now I'm adult. I've never really done anything. Risky yeah and so I went and got a tattoo six weeks into my son being born. What is the Tattoo? I have a shark on this arm anchor on this arm. And what did those symbolize? I love sharks and died. Love anchors. Well then the anchor was because I saw my son as an anchor to keep me stable in this crazy stupid world that we live in but you were open minded about that. You weren't like Oh God now. I've got to change who I am. I think it was a little bit of a break like I want to get a tattoo. I was a little bit nervous breakdown. Okay I think that's unfair to people that have had real nervous brand new bit of Midlife crisis or whatever word is where you're just going Holy Shit. Yeah and then. Maybe a week later it was gone for that. It was like pan. I'm a dad now I I can barely get coke myself now. I gotTA in charge of this Little Guy And then that was going but yes otherwise. No I'm not. I'm not afraid although I did have since you brought it up. I did have a situation where it hit me that I may not be alive when my son turns fifty and that made me sob and I broke down and just like the idea of what enough to be able to see him. Grow UP FIFTIES GROWN UP. But you know what I mean by that I one hundred. I totally not no. I really had a realization today. That kind of bum me the F out Man. Yeah and then I got out of. I don't know if I get out of it to be honest with you. I think it's still kind of yeah back. I don't think that is one that just like goes by by but I think I you have those moments of like okay or like something where your child comes home with something? You're like this is. I need to pretend I really know what I'm talking and I'm the adult here is crazy because you're like. When did I become the person that everyone's coming back? Yeah Luckily Danielle. Who's also a clown? But she she knows how to handle these situations like she's really great that and I she tells me that I undersell by being a dad but luckily she knows what to do. And I do the best I can. Okay is there a moment that you can think of? Maybe you can't when your son came to you and you were like Oh fuck I don't I don't know I in years past. I would've probably called my parents and asked them out of hand all. Yeah that's the biggest one is he he got. He got bullied quite a bit this past year and it happened to him in Sixth Grade. Which was the same year that. I got bullied so but yet I don't know how to tell him. I did not know how to tell him what to do like you know. You can't tell them to just let it. Yeah and so. That was a lot of Jesus Christ I would. I would have maybe talked to my parents about this. I said well that's what he's doing. He's talking to his parents about it and you're supposed to have the answer. The answer hard one. That was a hard one and it was eventually I did settle on you know. Look here's the truth if this kid and there was a couple of them but there was one in particular as if it gets to the point where this kid is pushing your buttons and You Punch Him. You will not get in trouble from me. I am not saying. Punch him giving permission to punch him. But if if some point he pushes your buttons and upward views. All of your tools to stop him from doing that. Where if you go. Today's the day man. I can't take it and punch. Yeah if you get expelled. Whatever happens at school and then you come home and go down. I got expelled. You will not get in trouble cured and I think that gave him some competent stood like okay. My Dad's not going to be mad at me and told them L. She of course. She kind of agreed. She's like I have to say I agree with that because I think sometimes that now gives him license that gives him some trick in the back pocket if he needs to have it that's been sanctioned and to also know if the shit hits the fan and not one fucking kid school ever talks to you again you still have us right which ultimately. I've had to use that. You know what? I mean like honestly if all of this drama when kid girl draw stuff say this went from four to twelve ran. It's not going to say you lost all your friends. You know who you get to still come home to us right and your cousins and your grandparents and all of this and that's worst case scenario. Which isn't that bad of a scenario right. That's a great. I think that's a great thing to say especially as growing up different things out. Then you getting your head maybe you. It's like well. Why is this kid bullying my kid? Well maybe his home life sucks and I'll and then I feel bad for the kid when I don't WanNa feel bad for the good because he's making my kid's life hell I will say that is another thing that I say to my daughter. I go listen usually when somebody's acting like this that means they're unhappy on the inside and we don't know what's going on with them so let's try to take a moment to think about. Maybe what's making them? Act like this is. Maybe something else is happening where they're not feeling good about themselves. Maybe someone's not treating them well. Guess what I while that might be hard to understand at the moment when they're throwing food at you you know understanding storing food and because at home. Maybe he's getting hit around like you don't know so yeah yeah. It's rough rough so rough waters. It doesn't make it better. I want you to brag about something that you are particularly good at in your life. What is something that POPs to your mind when I go Jimmy? What are you great APP? Do you want the funny answer either. Way Well the thing that I'm really great out of this covers I could. I could guide a car automatic car. Wash like nobody's business. I'm able to line my tire up with that every single time. There's no I'm never getting the move your He steered left right. I'm able to get it right down the center. I feel like I'm ready to say all right. I'm very proud of my podcast. Yes but I am an Euler alluded to this earlier. I'm a great game show host. Yes you are. I am a great game show host and and I'm proud of that I love co hosting game shows. There are things I'm not good at in this business dammit. I'm great at that you are and I will vouch for that as you know complimenting you feels uncomfortable because it doesn't feel right you are and you should have a game show and it's what you're meant to be. Can I just one second Quebec team? The Brag I feel like when I go to the CAR WASH. They take my car and they lead it in more often than not. I will go to the automatic one to save forty minutes of my life. Oh this is the one where you drive yourself. Where do you even fine? Those I wanted to apply to more often because they wanted to take my daughter through because I thought she'd find it fun. I can tell you that Auburn up on them from the first few times founded a little scary. How old was he seventeen or he was. I don't know you're right four by my daughter's ten if she finds that scary she's such a pussy and this is something we need to talk to her. I would talk to her. It is how I talk here. Yeah but she loves the show. She's GonNa Listen. Never been able to see her. Hear anything I've ever done right. It's offensive enough pudding what you do exactly now something that you think that you'd like to work on the other side to work on. Yeah something that and it could be funny. It could be something serious here. Look this is a silly answer. Yeah but I often bragged. There's nothing I love more than fantasy baseball and I'm horrible at I'm not good. I don't win okay but I love it and if I don't know I used to win but I don't anymore what's happened. Deboer you used to have to look at status got. I've already don't care right. I hate myself. I understand that I have for you. I have I was at the I was at. This is a dumb thing. Say was that but I was at the Ronnie James Dio Hologram concert words. You know them separately maybe but It was at the Wilton and old rocker chick. That's the best way to describe. This woman was Whose probably was on the sunset strip at the height of the eighties. Glam metal days. She was behind the bar and I went up to get buy popcorn and Diet Soda. 'cause I don't drink. Yes and she said. Oh God what was the word she used? You have do me is or something like that and I said it wasn't do me but basically sounds negative. Do you have it what it was like like. She wanted to have sex with wishing he's getting. It had me sorry. Not at the end of days is coming. But she didn't say here is she? She's not the apocalypse is not near is no it wasn't it was it was coming. It was words. I've never heard of no. None of this is helpful. I think it's fun. You overuse joke you may WanNa Google the word fun Look that up for you on the word fun. She did. Tell me ahead of time. I couldn't feel free to look stuff up. We'll start with fun and see. Her face is anywhere near it anyway. This woman who's been around. She saw my eyes and wanted it Again I the one who just I do. Think you have Gorgeous Ryan and the way the light hit. I'm not sure this eighties rocker chick. Is that discerning? It sounds like she has fucked her way through the decade to care for the language I think she made love to those rockers. I think in my single days I would have had sex behind a dumpster at the Wilton. There's no question my mind that would have been enough to get to get me. You've got is you've got to now. I'M GONNA put my Dick in. You will get no no wipe. She's got one. No you are going to have sex with her because she said that you said when I was twenty six what age audit I said by younger days. Okay and my head trying to think what I started this date Danielle. I need to know that because I have some questions. I sort of duty. Danielle in one thousand nine hundred twenty one years. Okay so how old were you? Okay wait what did I say? Nine hundred ninety eight when reborn thirty to thirty to thirty two years old. Okay so got it because when I did your podcast the other day you we discussed that you might have a child that you don't know about ler maybe more from when you just splattered your way across this country. Yeah I don't know if I split it as often as you made it sound. Djokovic is okay but but I do know that there were. There were some activities on the road. That where I mistakenly was not protected so it would be as surprising as not surprising right to possibly have a child out there. I WanNa hear about like your twenty six year old. What are you wearing it that day now? I know that I read something that you had some jeans at some point. Why would that be something you read? Listen I do. Oh yeah there's the there's the Oh there's the worst headshot in history what. How old are you there? Twenty three twenty four. Okay okay. We all had mullets. Don't make fun of the hair. I know I'm not going to make all had that we all we all have every man had that here every man every man. I had had that this hair I did. I was much younger. Talk about you getting laid. But now I'm thinking that probably didn't have no no it did. That's that's crazy lazing part make movies about the eighty s about important things that have happened. I feel like someone needs to make a movie about the fact that men had that hair and the population split continue. Then look at the look at the women's during that time that also when you look back photographs it's ridiculous like if you watch the goldbergs or if you see videos that hair is like and we didn't think anything of it like you. Just go along with the times and it's like we weren't hippies anymore. This was this to us. This was cooler than hippies. When if you think about it hippie hair is fantastic here and this is awful. I mean the fact that the human population didn't just stop at your nineteen eighty-four no is shocking. Everybody was coked up and banging drug personnel. Not Once I've never done drugs in my life me neither nothing I've smoked. I have not okay I know. That's not a drought. It's a plant man. I get it but I tell you what I don't get is what I just said to see what I'm going to characters. Not Six year old like really feeling himself. I'm in a mullet. I read online that you wore jordache jeans and some Mesh shirts. This is something about you online did you. Did you not enjoy your horse? Yeah we all did. I didn't know men had Jordache. Gee We were Jordache. We were what was it. There was another brand that What was the fit of a male Jordache on out a gentleman? Blake me fantastic. I just go along with something. You don't have to throw the wet blanket on every Goddamn just laugh at joy something. Okay fine because you let you let.

Yeah we started in nineteen seventy five and I talk about an album and I go into a little bit about the album. But it's more about how that album had an impact on my life. Yeah for instance. This week is nine hundred seventy nine and I talked about the neck. Yeah and again I talk about a little bit about the neck but it's more about how it's the first time I got the second base with a girl Aw and so the stories about that and just or like me about Chicago and I was born to my dad and my mom and and so it's it's that yeah and you can get that at youtube dot com slash. Never not funny and ten minutes. Yeah and you know. It's not never not funny. It's not this it's not. It's not just riffing roofing more scripted than their usually do and yeah he's on my side that whenever scripted. I'm I'm at my best I like it. It's a little something different and I like it and it's speaks to exactly what you just said. It is a an era of time and the era music. That is very specific. But if you like my stories you don't you don't care about the neck. Yes it's about the human engagement absolutely. Yeah well I will actually check it out. I and that's not the sort of thing that I do. I will people that I. I've heard that from people that are like I'm not a big podcast guy but I enjoy this. Yeah in fact you're you're stage manager Steve Hollander. Yeah texted me. And he said I'm loving records tapes. It's like you're just talking about your. Yeah yeah that's what. I'm doing great with the excuse of the album. Yes as the launchpad. Well I'm sure that also to to ensure that you can relate to something that I've been finding as I am you know sliding into my dotage is that I don't give a fuck. I WanNa do things that I like do us was I just for me. It's now about whatever I'm doing. Am I enjoying myself during the time that I'm doing it you know unless yes. It's got a nice cheque attached. That's that's you know I'll do. I'll do anything auto games for check. I've seen boy I ever. You're damn vigorously you know. That's what this is podcasting. Should be that when I hear now that him doing a pilot for a podcast that Blah network like doing a pilot the F.. Are you talking about. Yeah no I know. I'm the first guy in so the idea of a pilot described cry and say here. I hear things like where I I. I'm not exactly sure the detail some low the say the people one of the funniest Janis people we know just worked up a pilot for a scripted podcast and got turned down. Fu on this is this is truly one of the funniest people we know and we know a lot of funny people. I know seven. Sounds like this guy or this woman yes and and I I that just blows my fucking. Here's the beauty of podcasting. Then do it yourself. Yeah right you don't need it you don't here's the big secret bug as you don't need a network. I know I know the DAX. Shepard is a perfect example of that he just like has the Namus townies fan but still but honestly and he's a friend of mine so I mean You know he's a lovely person. He's a talented guys. An interesting guys good talker. And he's like I'm going to do this and he just doesn't himself right through soon organization. I had to get some. I can't do. I wouldn't do all this shit myself. I can barely fucking get the dishes done by myself and again. I'm going to do this thing and bang. Bang Zoom it just takes off and at and and that's not just because he's famous you know. I mean he could have done a really boring because he's famous ads. Let's not Les Mis absolutely but You gotta follow through any follows through and he lives so it's like yeah you can do that and you can. Also you don't need any we sort of you know any sort of structure around you don't need the structure but you could ask. The back end is for for advertising. Of course of course. And if it's it's like you were you like the just showing up and talking and you've got a will becton Jennifer sample putting it together for you. Then you need that. Yeah and so. That's where a network work is good for you. Yeah yeah so I'm not putting down networks network. Yeah Yeah I'm on the same network. Yeah here Wolf. Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah. I'm not part of the team Coco though because you know I left in two thousand fifteen no your day Sony that story I actually had to tell them the powers that be that Don Pardo Dole was coming into say nobody caught on damage dead. It doesn't matter they don't they're not details on your head of their own heroin. O'Brien I got a so. Don't worry about all about yeah no in fact if they found out I let you in the building. She's so I shouldn't go to the second floor that they're all cowards safe. They're all cowards. You could go right up to CONAN's face it and be like hey buddy and he. He wouldn't call. He'll do anything. Oh he'll have security chase you but you'll already be off the lot you know. And it'll just make him feel good all right okay. I'll give him a through. I right Jim. Okay Pal. Courtesy third question. Oh yeah yeah you got it got. Yeah so that was the third. No the second was where you going. Or what three then third. It's what have you learned from this no from your life. I mean you. We have a big philosophy. What you like you know what the one thing I will say is be true to yourself? I know that Cliche Nia guy and I told you about who was himself as an open mic then changed aims to try to conform and then finally found himself again. Yeah Yeah I would say that across the and I say to my son Dan. Don't worry about those two idiots right that are making fun of you. Focus on the people that care be true to yourself. Don't yet form so that those two like you or in comedy. Who cares about the table? That's not lapping. Although we all are drawn to it's all we look we're all drawn to that if there's a face in the crowd that's not laughing at smy Guy Zeroed in on me. Because I'm in the moment is a standup i. I then try to win. That Guy Opo of the four hundred ninety nine other people that are loving you. Yes yes so did that. I know it's I know it's it's a you. You know a a pillow stitching pillow honestly. But it's true. Stay true to who you are. Do you find that you are you able to do that. In your personal life with your friends and then with your family and your loved ones to yes. Yeah yeah for better or worse. Yeah you know yeah but Now does that compromise compromise reminds you know like if you're in that way. Is that something you come. No no I've compromised a lot in my life still have the need to make people happy and me. I don't want anybody ever mad at me. I know but Even when I am I am in situations now. where I'm like? I'm being taken advantage antigen. I'm going to speak up for myself and no one hundred percent I in the right and I and the way that I stick up for myself is polite light and within reason and respectful. It's still burns a fucking hole through my stomach for two days because I might have upset some hundred percent. Yeah it Burs Bartholomeusz move to lead up to it then. I finally have the courage to do it in the kindest politest way and then two days. I'm worried about deck okay. Yeah Talk to Danielle my wife. I said this yeah well that sounds great. Okay but but couldn't it be taken this way because you said like that. Yeah although I do have the capability elevated yell at a Jimmy Pardo would say hey. You can't swear you know or it ruined my weekend are also quite seriously. I do have the ability now how to say no or to like hey no fucked out. It's right and especially around here. I find in producing comedy. I don't take a lot of time to hold someone's hand and go like this is a really great idea but I really think that it might. It's just like it's not working. Yeah you gotta get over it. Yeah Yeah and then so it's more compartmentalized where in that kind of thing. I will occasionally be a little too blunt about stuff or I'll say something talk about a bit in front of the person that wrote it without realizing. That's the person how you like. Oh sorry buddy you know yeah. I didn't realize that was your baby that I was calling idiot but yeah but I agree. You know GotTa be yourself. That's it yeah. I mean you'd be lousy being anybody else who lyle wagoner who. They'll you're going to be again. He's got a Winnebago business. Sorry wagons it is true right they trailer trailer trailer business Nobody anybody that knows who allow Wagner is knows this listen to this is going to know. Oh Yeah he star Wang you brought them up even if in your Lincoln fucking Nebraska you know Oh yeah star Wiggins so thank you for having me. Listen this is really like. I said it's to borrow a apart. It's been a joy thank you. It's been a joy it's been takeover finally asking me.

"Jimmy Jimmy was really starting to come into his own as a manager in terms of his presentation. He's wearing colorful jackets. Usually different wants for every guy he manages he's talking through a megaphone. He's getting lots of gimmicks here. Did you ever hear from Jimmy about you. Know the wardrobe changes or the megaphone phone. And and how this all came to be part of his act presentation because there are Kinda even to this day we think of Jimmy Hart crazy jacket and you think of the megaphone. The credit he goes Jimmy Hart in that regard because Jimi was the guy that looked at okay. If I'm going to be managing the Hart Foundation I need to have have a look for the Hart Foundation. I'm going to be managed Greg the Hammer Valentine again part themed then I need to have my own Valentine on deal I'm going to be of Dino Bravo I need to have the Florida lace all over The nasty boys all go all nasty. Get up whatever it was. That was Jimmy Hart Jimmy wanted and even his teams or his individuals all to have unique persona and for him not to just be Jimmy. Hart the same for all of them that Jimmy could be a chameleon and be a manager just for that guy or just for that team in that particular situation and that's what made Jimmy Different. He he would become a part of whoever it was that he was managing. Let's let's talk about the Honky. tonk man he comes into the WWF. As a baby face he's a friend of Hulk Hogan's least in storyline very quickly turned heel and put with Jimmy. I understand understand why they would put him with Jimmy that I guess make sense but let's talk briefly about Honky tonk man. Why do you think turned him so quickly? 'CAUSE wasn't getting over does it was as simple as that. They think in Vincent saw Honky Tonk man as this huge baby face. That was coming in Hogan's buddy so instantly it'd be a baby face. Everyone love them. All Contol angry I am very but it was so over the top and in a very arrogant way the audience puked him up and and they had no choice but to turn it. Or there's three or four things I can say they're Let's talk about Jimmy in Memphis. He managed manage honky and Kevin Sullivan their attack team. But he's not the first pick for Vince. McMahon's manager of choice for Honky tonk man. Apparently Mr Fuji of hockey didn't want that. So they put him with Jimmy instead. How different would the heart care with fucking Mr Fuji Honky? tonk man. Yes he gonNa do the shake rattle. Roll you yeah that would have been the Jerusalem sheets. That's the worst mischief ridge impression. I've ever heard thank you very much. June second nice eighty. Seven hockey would beat the Ricky the dragon steamboat the intercontinental title. And there's this big infatuation with Butch Reed lately that I guess people just not coming coming around to realize that Butch Reed invented net flicks and actually butch was a big part of Apple Computer's. I didn't yeah there. Were stay jobs. The other guy butchery and it was it was a threesome and uh butch was going to be the silent partner. When he went to Florida where he got over like a motherfucker and and he said you know what guys? I've got enough money. I've got an idea for this whole Netflix. Thing you guys go ahead and take. He didn't need time. Lower like a motherfucker floor. I don't know that you saw this but over the holidays Bush read because he's still with us as well I should it'd be celebrated he. He recently visited for the holiday the Virgin Islands and now they're just the Allen's Anyway let's get to. Oh yeah I read that too. I believe I mean with all that money. He's got I mean. I don't know that you know that. But he helped broker the deal for Vince McMahon to get the XFL back on TV. Of course you probably at the meeting you know So Ricky's supposed to lose the intercontinental continental title here to Butch Reed but butchery was busy inventing Netflix that day So he no showed Knowing that you know his fortune was right around the corner so they needed someone to beat Ricky and take the belt off of it because ricky needed time off supposedly hulk convince are talking about it in the hallway and Hawks Bah and supposedly hoax at what about him. And that's the legend of how the greatest intercontinental champion of all time came to be. How much of that? The believe is consumer in any window. I think it's probably fifty percent as like there may be some portions that the motive actually actually happened but it probably has grown into a bigger story than it actually was well. We know that Hawk is going to go on to be the greatest intercontinental champion of all time. let's keep all gone baby all time hockey starts doing a feud with The Macho Man Randy Savage Bridge which is what effectively turns rainy baby face and Jimmy said that one Tom Haughey did or a dance in front of Lisbeth and sent Randy off and hockey tried to explain. It was just Elvis type dance move and that caused some problems between them and because of that hockey refused to drop the title to Randy. Now this is all all new wrinkles stuff. I hadn't heard before that supposedly there was a real life situation because honky was doing some sort of Elvis impression dance and gas S. Randy thought he's trying to get with Elizabeth in real life. I'd never heard this before as your this before. No I and we just before. Jimmy says that Eventually he would be the one who helped get randy into the company. That's worth a rewind. Randy's Randy's working in Memphis Jimmy. Gets a hold of him tells him. Vince really wants them in the company and Randy and Jimmy meet the next day. Jimmy gives him George Scott's number and the rest is history. Talk to US shirt doctors. A little bit about your recollection because I know that story has been retold alive but savage was a little paranoid. And we've talked about that here on the show but even about this call coming in right. Well Yeah but yes and no it was randy could be very suspicious and just not very trustworthy of anybody so randy you know looking Kennedy thing. I don't WanNa be butt of a joke. And if somebody's ribbon him you know Randy and Jimmy Har Come. I'm an because they had both been in Memphis at the same time Radius told me that Jimmy came tomb basically for whatever reason Zain Randy took it as the Gospel in they got together but it was Jimmy. Hart who vouched for Randy savage having worked with him for only a little bit in Memphis And then is I say you know the rest is history and got to take the chance on the Macho Man Randy. Take the chance on this and got everybody together in the Risto Hung. Yeah forget I need my two listing omits on my boots and my ass wrestlemainia. Three Jimmy's involved volved in three matches at the show. His first appearance with adorable Adrian Donald. WHO's taking on Roddy Piper? Then comes the six man with heart. Foundation Danny Davis on one inside versus the bulldogs and Tito Santana on the other. The third appearance on the show hockey talk and jake the Snake Roberts of course shake Alice Cooper in his corner and after the match match. Jimmy's left alone in the ring. Robertson Cooper team up to scare him with a pet snake Damien. Pretty Primetime moment here for Jimmy and biggest just wrestling card of all time. Jimmy's not on at once. He's on it three times. Not a bad gig three times and probably worth about seventy five percent of a payoff in nineteen eighty seven. Jimmy would manage the WWF. Women's tag team champions Judy Martin and Leilani Johny Konno's the glamour girls and They're most famously GONNA feud with Japanese team that has gone to become an internet wrestling. Legend the jumping bomb angels these women's tag titles when these days don't get talked about a lot. What's your favorite women's tag team championship match from? Nineteen ninety seven it was. It was a lot of Boston Gardens at time. Over the summer. Walls were sweating. They do so fucking hot. Eighty seven in a year for Jimmy. As I mean we couldn't have landed out any plainer. he wins pro wrestling illustrated's manager of the year as he should have. Did you guys in the office. I mean this is like something what I kept up with anybody else. Keep up with anything from pro wrestling illustrated or what was the relationship like with the quote. UNQUOTE APTER MAGS. There wasn't on because WWF had their own magazine so the concentration was put on their own periodical. And just making that All that it could be The rest of it. Yeah they were out there but it wasn't. It wasn't taken seriously all that was was made up or should anyway so at least have our own mate uproar shit line what are you saying was made up the wrestler and inside wrestling Illustrate Oh straight. I'm telling Ya not hurts but you know. Remember when they had the picture phone interviews those real interviews yeah. They weren't what. What does that mean? They had a guy in Memphis interviewing jerry. lawler in another guy in Los Angeles interviewing Dr Jerry Graham. They weren't on a picture phone man that didn't even speak. Oh Fuck Wrestlemania four. Let's fast forward. Jimmy would receive even haircut from British. The Barber beefcake after interview interfering rather in the Intercontinental Championship match between beefcake and hockey and he helps hockey retain the title by getting getting the queued later in the year the ratio brothers turned heel and they are then renamed the fabulous resume brothers and given Jimmy as their manager. And the Hart Foundation would fire Jimmy as a manager and then turn baby face and late eighty eight and then Jimmy would manage the ratio brothers to feud with his former team and the angle was the heart seal retained managerial rights to his former team and he gave a portion of that to the ratios Which is sort interesting? Why is it decided in this era to turn the Har- foundation into baby faces chart something noon? Fill the late had a little bit of a a baby face change to them already. It was specially at that time with the rouges who you thank God too good looking young guys. It'd be perfect baby faces but the American audiences just did not care for the Rubio's and putting Jimmy with them and then doing them. We're all American boys. Which Jimmy Hart wrote in Jimmy Hart recorded with Rouge's doing the vocals for it got so much heat because now you were saying how I think that the American audience audience saw the show they were foreigners dammit gladys in fucking day four for Milo Montreal's gotta be some country far far probably Russia just sway the Review let's let's make them all American boys. Okay so are slim eighty-eight Jimmy going to accompany demolition. and Mr Fuji Pertain. The tag titles against the harmonization acts would use Hart's Megaphone as a foreign object hit brad hard the head with it for the win. I should mention agents mentioned the top. Show that Jimmy actually wrote the Rubio's theme music which is a very memorable entrance song. Some say one of the best in history chat me Bruce. Do you have a A a little bit any of the saying the fabulous ratio theme song. Jimmy Hart Style Force.

"It's hard to argue that One of the things that everybody remembers about Jimmy as the Andy Kaufman bed but before we do there for we get there. We should mention that. The young guy named Jim Cornet. WHO's doing photography trying to get in the business as a manager and Jimmy would be very influential on on this young Jim? Carney answer early days in the business as far as giving him advice and letting him borrow gear when he needs cheaper. I mean you were talking with Corny for a long time have conversations about how important Jimmy Hart was to his early days without a doubt. Because Jimmy is Jimmy Hart. It is what Jim Cornet aspired to be. And Jimmy Hart was the bad Guy Wrestling Sling Manager in Memphis television and he was the only one therefore longtime than Sam Bass who who'd come before who had managed Jerry lawler caller for a long time there. But Jimmy Hart was the loud mouth weasley manager that cornet that that's who he idolize and that is what he saw himself doing so when the opportunity arose that's what cornet patterned himself after in many ways after awhile cornet. That came into his own. Did the tennis racket. My Mommy's rich and what have you But it was it was based on. Jimmy Hart Jimmy Hart was one of the best regional managers that has ever been and one of the best managers of all time. When he went national he was able to hold his own I and make a name for himself? Well of course the thing that people think about the most probably from the mainstream and you think about angles in Memphis. It's all about Andy. Kaufman and Jimmy is managing Andy Kaufman during the infamous single with Jerry lawler and during that angle Andy and Jimmy would break up in the story line and briefly a few against each other before reuniting to continue the feud with Jerry. I mean such a big moment in wrestling history Andy. Kaufman's and Waldman and once again Jimmy. Hart's right in the middle of it. Jimmy was because Jimi again was the one that was the mainstay in the lawler antagonists in Memphis so to allying. Jimmy Hart in Andy Kaufman together. It helped solidify Kaufman being a heel in. It helped a story. I don't think that anybody really believed that Andy Kaufman would be able to do it all on his own but he did and he was very. I'm good at it. But by aligning him with Jerry. lawler I mean with Jimmy Har- It was guaranteed as fast forward one day next ninety five Jimmy sharing a hotel room with Eddie Gilbert and playboy frazier and Jimmy Calls Home and his wife tells him the Vince Mcmahon they called there and Jimmy told his wife has probably Austin idol pranking him because he does stuff like this. All the time including an imitation of Jim Barnett and Jimmy said about Jimmy says about a week later watch tells them George Scott call for him but again. Jimmy thinks that's a rib so the next day they're going going to do a show in Lexington Kentucky but get snowed out and hillbilly. Jim would call Jimmy. WHO had previously worked at Memphis as Harley Davidson and Jimmy would tell hillbilly about the phone call gotten and Hillbilly told him that Howard Finkel had been watching tapes of Memphis wrestling? Vince like Jimmy. I wanted to break into the south from. He thought Jimmy can help with that. So he'll billy told Jimmy he was going to make a call a column Rybeck so he makes the call when he calls Jimmy back. He says Vince is going to call you. and Vince called. Jimmy told him that love to have him and wanted to know if he'd come Stanford to me with him and Jimmy said yes and when he asked when he could come Vincent set. How about tomorrow morning? Jimmy agreed advanced. Then put them in touch while the travel agency to make all of the arrangements when she yup there. He tells Beth that if he hired him. Vince could depend on him and Jimmy told him that he doesn't drink. and Vince asked Lincoln. You Start Jimmy said Wendy. Want me to convince it. How about tomorrow tomorrow? Well Jimmy told him he was supposed to run. TV The upcoming weekend because lawler was in Japan and Jerry Jarrett was out hunting and if he doesn't run TV they wouldn't wouldn't have anyone to do. It and Vince said he liked that. Because if you screwed them you'd screw me so. He told me he was going to start him on thousand dollars a wake until he starts on the road with them and go ahead and run. TV and then come up the next Monday and I'm always been fascinated with stories like this because it does. I feel like the narrative on Vincent Man is the he's cutthroat and wash it would ever again the opposition and they're certainly stories stories. Wear things like that. Add up where you know. The rumor and Innuendo is that he offered Harley race. A bunch of money to no-show stockade but yet on the other hand he really respects it when people turn down those ideas and if he knew he had a commitment to do. TV HERE IN MEMPHIS. He wanted him to keep his word. And that's still something we hear about these days. Are there to Vince. McMahon's or some of the stuff just rumor and innuendo probably a little bit of both. I think that they're are. These stories. have grown over time and they. They've just gotten bigger more elaborate over time but the general unroll the general consensus one of which just heard there that well. You'RE GONNA do it to that guy you probably do it to me. And he's not looking for that he's looking for something that is someone who is good to their word and that's probably more the norm than anything else. Let's keep it moving here. Of course lawler in Jira are not happy about Jimmy leaving and Jarrett's even threatening to sue Jimmy and Vance lawlor wants Jimmy to wrestle. A loser leaves town match but Jimmy's afraid to do it because he thinks the hurt him because of how much they hate advance but then in context. How badly was Vince? McMahon hated by other promoters by the mid eighties. Oh God tremendously and I think especially at this time. Where are the viewpoint of most of the promoters in the country? Were that they wanted to see. Vince McMahon go away. Vince had in their opinion violated a lifelong trust of you. Don't come into my territory won't come into yours but unless they wanted to type type of thing and the part that everyone leaves out of that story. All the time is that Vince went to the promoters that had their your faith teams in different parts of the country and said Hey. Here's what I'd like to do. I'd like to work with you. I've got television. I'm want to go out nationally with my TV. I'm GONNA do this. I'm going to do that. Would you be interested in being partners because I am going to run him all right. So let's say for example apple you're in Detroit near the sheet in you. Think you own Detroit. I don't know which is another funny thing about the wrestling business. How promoters orders because you promoted in one spot? It's like okay. Let's take your business for a minute. Conrad you're in the mortgage business. You're in Huntsville Alabama. You have a mortgage company in Huntsville Alabama will. Does that mean that you are the only person that can sell mortgages in Huntsville Alabama porcine because it's America in their freedom of trade in. We have antitrust laws in this country but in wrestling it was different. If I promoted in Detroit than I would. I felt that I'm the only one that could promote Detroit. Detroit in Houston Texas. Bosch felt he was the only one that should ever promote Houston Texas because by God that was his town Milwaukee The only person could promote in the midsouth in Tulsa in Louisiana. Vince went to each of these guys. Said Hey I'll like either buy you out or let's work out a working relationship we can use my TV. And we'll come able to co promote shows in to the man with very few exceptions Roy. Shire and Michael Bell They told vents will bury you. Come into you come into my territory and I'll put you out of business and instead instead of worrying about their own particular area. They started worrying about well. Vince is GONNA come into my area. I'll go into convinces. I'll go to New York and that was the downfall of most of the promotions In Bill Watson particular. He took his eye off the ball and homecourt in Memphis they were one of the last surviving territories. They would one the very last to go. That continued on for a very long time after Vince went national and that was a tough nut to crack but Jimmy having concerned getting back back to the original story was a valid one. Because Vince had now come in and taken arguably their biggest he'll their biggest star Star on the heels side that they could bring in anybody and have instant credibility by teaming them with Jimmy. Hart Jimmy Levy. Now there's a a big boyd. And they knew that Jimmy would be very valuable to the WWL and of course we know how that that would prove to be Jimmy gets there about a month before the first wrestlemainia and his first job is working in the office with Bob Costas and getting tapes Wrestlemainia and Jimmy said. Bob Wanted Him to get certain tapes on the tape. Room was right next door. Jimmy was and could have gotten it in about two seconds but he had to right up what he wanted and pass it around the office and different people had to sign off on it and it took like three hours to do all of that and of course we know that we bird you know in a lot of businesses that it there becomes a lot of red tape. Was that the case with me. I got there ninety seven as well where I felt like they were. Maybe you know some oversaturated our processes and procedures. I just think that it was also new at the time the they were doing things that had never been done before so it was how. How do we do this and then they would get into into routine of doing it that okay? This is how it's going to be done now in the very little. How can we make it better? How can we make it more efficient because frankly that was more efficient and better than what had been done previously so it was kind of a just a learning and growing growing? Lean thing that more than anything else. He I mean other than once. poughkeepsie TV tapings wrestlemania one. Ns affectively. Jimmy's first show in. WWe That's pretty remarkable. When you think about that your first says Russell fucking mania right? Yeah you know I think that for a lot of guys. They looked at it as another car. Here's another match. I don't think until really Wrestlemainia wrestlemainia three did people look at it. Like Holy Shit. This is this is a big deal. This is the super bowl this. This really means something so it took I think it took till wrestlemainia three before anyone really appreciated it. The first people that Jimmy manages the company or Greg Valentine who at the time intercontinental champion and King Kong Bundy. So Jimmy says that you know he's GonNa Rod with Greg when he first gets there on these car trips where Greg would you know. Help explain how things were doing in the WWF and we as wrestling fans heard for a long time. That the The car trips are essentially like a classroom on wheels. Back quote business is done in the bar but that these long car trips our work is really learn earn. You think that's still happens today. No I don't think that that's probably one of the biggest missing. Today is camaraderie are- in the ability to get to know the people that you work with. it was it was classroom on wheels just like you said and it was something the thing that the guys had a chance to bond. They pretty much stayed the same places and who could get get the best hotel rates Shit like that so.

"Hitman. ICEMAN ICEMAN said HOFFA's body was putting a fifty five gallon drum and set on fire for a half an hour or so. The newsroom was welded shut buried. You didn't junkyard. And the drum was supposedly later dug up But a they put it not sure what they're talking about the body or the whole drama and then they smashed it. They put it in a car and they smashed into the compressor and the ship that that Japan for scrap and then we put in a rocket ship shot the entire body and they burned it for thirty men. Trying to seal into there followed a very strict recipe. Well we sous vide it in this guy xactly right so mythbusters did Jimmy Jimmy Hoffa special where they scan the ground at giants stadium with a radar to see if there were human remains under it and this was confirmed later when they tore down the stadium and look physically underneath and despite all that idiots from New Jersey still make dig here signs take them to the the new real and there can proud of it to the top Reverend's Quality Oak Tag Agam crushing this Joe CBS. I couldn't think of an acronym but I'm sure but isn't that the wrong sadie. Not right like I feel like did get dude died in Detroit. Maybe his body is somewhere in the Greater Detroit area. No but don't hate on this New Jersey's entire tourism economies clearly based on dead body to work. What else do they have? Here's another complete sleep misquote. Police took samples from the ground under a suburban Detroit driveway at least during the day after continuing after a person reported reported having witnessed the burial of body there around the time of Hoffa's nineteen seventy-five disappearance tests by Michigan State University anthropologist. This found no evidence of human remains. I love this guy. He's like he sees the damn body being buried these address. Nothing and then later that could be hop might might WANNA check also look mythbusters out a metal detector and some guy at Michigan state grabbed of dirt spontaneous combustion in another gangster said. They basically played the shell. Game with HOFFA's corpse. Tony's really said that he was buried in a shallow grave and they had planned to move him around bit but those plans deteriorated like a corpse in a shallow grave. He said that the location of the grave was near a field near the restaurant where Hoffa went missing in two thousand thirteen. Police dug up the area that he indicated and found nothing but the case remains open well to be fair. If the area indicated was just Detroit -TROIT's in general the police would have otherwise decoys the finally Michael Frenzy The New York mob boss claim to know. Oh where Hoffa was in an interview with a Youtube Channel. He said that he knew who the killer was to. His claim is that the commission the five mafia bosses in New York. Doc controlled organized crime across the country ordered it. He said quote. I can tell you the bodies very wet Kennedy and and the shooter is still alive today but currently in prison okay boomer okay but why would all those mobsters go to jail Douai for asking Jimmy the Sphinx Komeito wherever the fuck that is we could get answers answer to this shit. That isn't in the form of a fucking riddle the FBI did release a pretty obvious statement in the form of fifty six page memo in the Detroit. Free Press side note. Is there a page limit at which memo is no longer think novella. They don't speculate late on any of the information or facts regarding the disappearance itself but do speculate on the motive in it. They claim quote Hoffa was murdered at the behest of organized. Crime Crime figures who regarded his efforts to regain power within the teamsters as a threat to their control of the Union's pension fund end quote also murderers bad double space doubles as of Orange. We're the I think. The main main gist of this is that there were certain people who knew what happened to Hoffa and where the corpse was but they never said anything about it to anyone or if they did they were already recognized liars in so no one believed him so hard to find an honest mob murderer. These yeah can't trust them they should unionize. The one thing that isn't mentioned in the article is but it's pretty evident is the shit that this guy and other corrupt union officials pulled fueled Union Nyan distrust in the United Conservatives on both sides of the aisle back then latched onto the crop narrative and use this to discredit unions and help weaken them significantly. Only I know there are a lot of other factors involved in the decline of unions. But this cluster fuck should not be overlooked. Yeah if only unions had been perfect. "And were back when we left off Jimmy Hoffa law-abiding citizen doing his best. What he had the Italian eye clarity next to overrun so half at that time? He was doing some Amazing Union inning. He was also under investigation and appealing fraud and jury tampering charges. This this is about fifteen years into him. Being President of teamsters and at this point they make Frank Fitzsimmons his vice president. And this I guess is the first time they name Amo. Vp is a direct successor. For that. I guess there was just a vote but they assumed he was going to go to jail and they needed someone there. That could just take over and keep the kickbacks rolling in great and that was our current events news break back. I wish if only we could replace ours with a long dead semi professional mobster. They was having all this trouble with the law. JFK was president. He don't interest in there. It is anyway Eddie. JFK appointed his little brother Robert. We mentioned him earlier as attorney. General interesting thank you For me me. And my family is not nepotism if the president does it down you'll use it later. RFK was supposedly supposedly pissed. He couldn't nail down Hoffa and other union bosses years earlier and he had an ax to grind so he came after Hoffa with guns. Blazing teamsters teamsters parade for Jimmy. Hoffa in Dallas is too obvious stave off these convictions. Convictions for a long time. He was initially investigated in earnest in one thousand nine hundred seven and it would take seven years for him to be finally convicted of a crime. It would be ten before he served any time. He was eventually convicted of attempted. Bribery of grandeur. How is that even a thing like obstructing justice? Yup Yup OPPA was also convicted of fraud in nineteen sixty four this was for improper use of the teamster pension fund quote Hoffa had illegally arranged several large pension fund loans to leading organized crime figures and quote. They were good for thirteen years in prison. Tried to appeal these sentences for three years and was unsuccessful. Damn thirteen years. You can get more time for very obviously not killing a lady in Texas. Yeah so just before. He enters prison the contingency vice president Frank Fitzsimmons takeover now. The reason he was chosen by half in in the first place is that he seemed really loyal to Jimmy. He owed pretty much all of his success to Hoffa. He was local to him as well and huff had gone to great lengths to consolidate date power as the president of the union run it unilaterally but once fit simmons was appointed as president. He started to undo the work that Jimmy Dunn and he relinquished. Relinquish some of that control that the president had. Jeez you caught a prison. One time everything falls apart around story. He undid everything he had done. What did you like disorganized? The worker give back a couple of snow. Okay you're presenting that like a joke which means you're not super up to speed on what unions have been doing so maybe you should pick somebody who's one of WHO's major qualifications was. He was nearby look at him. Rock seventy five years after go into jail. HOFFA had his sentence commuted to time served and he had to stay out of union leadership leadership for a decade. The Guy Responsible President Richard Nixon interesting Hoffa also got his pension of one point. Seven million dollars is a lump sum like he was some kind of a lot of winter I guess was there really was this was an unprecedented payout by the way and just two random facts here the I. B. T. had always endorsed Democrats however the teamsters endorsed Nixon in the last election. Interesting you you. He thinks I'm crazy as the next guy and the next guy is heat but an innocent was behind anything that I don't know about is a bridge too uh-huh and even though Hafa had his sentence commuted. He was still pissed that he couldn't play union games so he started suing the Nixon Administration nation. To get this overturn. That doesn't work though. Yeah maybe because he was suing them for not ignoring the law and now he's also so running into adversity in the union itself as most of the people in it had stopped supporting him he really only still held sway over the local union where he got his start. Detroit local to ninety nine. I know it does seem like you lose some support after going to jail for basically stealing from the people you were hired to represent I mean it seems like that's not a lock doc. We know trump sure is opening in his bid to get back into power. HOFFA tried to make a deal with the mafia one of the local. You leaders and made Guy Anthony. Provenzano was approached to endorse Hoffa. This meeting did not go well quote. Provenzano refused to listen and threaten Hoffa by saying that he would pull out his guts and kidnap his granddaughters. and quote. Ed as you can imagine Hoffa did not take this so well. He retaliated by cooperating rating with investigators and against his Mafia opponents asshole. I'M GONNA go hang out with Robert F Kennedy where it's always safe no matter what and Narcan you gonNA say like. That's so fucking weird threat once you pull out my guts. I have to tell you it's really selfish care so much about Mike Grandkids. I hate to give you notes on Air Bro. You're doing that shit in the wrong. July thirtieth nineteen seventy-five Hafa Autho was supposed to meet up with local mob. Boss Anthony Jack Loney and the guy that threatened to make sausage out of them Anthony Provenzano. He went to the local restaurant called the Red Fox to meet him. He's trying to hide a gun in the toilet tank but seventy five just shooting in the only man. I'm good take flush for his wife at two fifteen and another colleague at three thirty complaining that these these two were late. This was the last time anyone spoke to Hoffa. Well the last time anyone can prove anyway. Spontaneous combustion exact. Ah that night. He doesn't return home and they find his car unlocked at the restaurant. It's six PM. The following day Hoffa is reported missing the investigation really really doesn't go anywhere they did a DNA test in two thousand one on a hair that came from a car of a family friend and found a positive match but the guy denied that Hoffa ever been in the car and FBI. The I agent in one thousand nine hundred fourteen years after Hoffa went missing. Had this to say quote. I'm comfortable I know who did it. But it's never going to be prosecuted because we would have to to divulge informants and confidential sources and quote. Just check her emails. That's awesome. I'm a little confused like isn't that. What the informants are four like an academic exercise so there's been a ton of heath level speculation I think his and I'm GonNa include some of these from the wikipedia? Sorry did you say heath level I was a conspiracy theorist way before preempt awesome Noah level speculation as in like maybe it was that guy who said he was going to rip out his guts paragraphs of my money's on that the typical Noah always blame people for the threats day. May I told you once that restraining order expires get dual recently. Certainly the film. The Irishman was released to Netflix. Or as I like to call a two thousand one a mob hit a time. Odyssey started watching it just before thanksgiving. I'M GONNA finish sometime in March anyway. That movies based on a book called. I heard you paint houses in that book and in the film. They make the ascertain that professional killer that the professional that was close to Jimmy Hoffa Frank Sharon was responsible for killing Hoffa supposedly shot Jimmy in the back of that two times and the body was cremated. The evidence here is just non existent. Okay Hey are you calling. Martin Scorsese a liar guy. Who wrote the book that Martin Base the movie off of because Martin ever has an original fucking idea? Ah Blood bloodstains from that mob. House did not match. Jimmy's blood type so different. I was plugged in the back of the noggin close. So hey we just saved you four hours of the movie version of GRANDPA talking about so if I see another old man. Eight serial from zero to shoot myself fits was the big big big story so I can have eleven thousand thousand dollars. Split up among your eighty four grandchildren. I didn't WanNa go anyway but today we'll be talking about union leader Jimmy Hoffa who nc so you read between the lines. Are you ready to sell up the river literally any price talking skit. I I don't even care to huma. Hoffa Jimmy Hoffa was an American labor union leader when that actually meant something now it means that you're probably late on your mortgage. Yeah he was the president of the International Brotherhood of teamsters which is the truckers union and my dad teamster for several decades could not say this guy's name without calling him a crook he also went missing in one thousand nine hundred ninety five. They declared him dead seven years later but they've never found the remains and there were no convictions in the disappearance it just like Osama bin Laden and JFK. Interesting not at all like no yeah unrelated those people we shots I penciled dammit cancelled episode a hole in the forest take aac three. Jimmy was born in Brazil. Indiana Worst Carnival disappoint a AH fell one can use the bathroom. It was born on February fourteenth nineteen thirteen Valentine's baseball his his dad John Hoffa died. When Jimmy was seven from lung disease and the rest of the family moved to Detroit win? Hoffa was eleven. He quit school at fourteen years old and worked manual labor. Jobs like painting fulltime jean-mrs Apple Tree Shoe would be terrible if someone would paint your house when you at least you know what. This doesn't make any sense. I gotta get the new. y'All remember when people move to Detroit fifties. Yeah they're giving a stipend for that. They've been trying to get back. We have water now. You can drink on bottled some here. Hoffa moved on from painting houses to working in a grocery store chain when he was a teen. He became involved with the Union and organized labor. Around this time the job he was working page. Shitty wages had shittier working conditions and not a ton of job security so think professional snow podcast there with a boss done. That has nobody to blame but himself for his as best does covered. Works didn't do that. That especially since the workers wanted to unionize and Hoffa took the union leadership naturally Hoffa became inspired to work as a union organizer after a run in with an abusive forman when Jimmy stood up to him. The other employees were impressed by him so he moved on from that job and became became an organizer with the teamsters in Detroit local to ninety nine back when threatening people effectively was a valid line. Item on your resume. I I live in the wrong era. How about I fucking kill you? As a negotiation tactic that is sadly underused in today's Labour agree. Now it's fucking starve you and it's used by the other team and I don't mean you're fired and you're GonNa Starve. Congratulations you work at Walmart. Now you are below low the poverty. You made it to starvation cheeses a few years later. While working with non unionized laundry workers on their strike. He meets his soon to be wife. Josephine they married six months later. In September of Nineteen thirty six they go on to have two kids a daughter Barbara and a son James and I wanNA just quote wikipedia. Pedia here so you can hear the house price quote. The HOFFA's paid six thousand eight hundred dollars in one thousand nine hundred eighty nine for modest home in northwest Detroit. The family later owned a simple simple summer. Lakefront cottage in Orion Township Michigan North of Detroit. His son by the way thirty plus years after Jimmy is removed as the teamsters teamsters union president takes over the position. He's been the president since nineteen ninety. Nine yes true fact about that House in Detroit. It's actually worth less now than it was seven. Grandma gives you everything. North of I ninety in in the thirties the forties the teamsters grew pretty significantly in both numbers and power in one thousand nine hundred eighty when they were founded they had seventy five thousand members. There was a push push by Hoffa and other union leaders to consolidate other trucker unions with T- with the teamsters that made their membership grow to one hundred seventy thousand in nineteen thirty six and four hundred twenty thousand in one thousand nine hundred eighty nine and it was over a million by nineteen fifty one off one a bunch. A contract disputes using quickie strikes quickie strikes. We're only one side is happy about the outcome that checks get term and the Secondary Boycotts which leveraged other related industries to pressure Asher to put pressure on another to get them to cave to the demands of the Union would be like a grocery store strike to help get rights for farm laborers. It's hard to wrap your head around it but back then workers actually cared about other workers also since the teamsters were connected to a ton of professions since they delivered raw materials. Finish this project is that are they. Would they use to become the most powerful union in the country right That's why Amazon workers each their own P. Bucket now on everything and hey fun. Fact that secondary boycotts thing literally illegal now. So yeah if you're in a union don't like root too hard for a second bucket per a person shall. We can't even get everyone in the same room to decide that people shouldn't go bankrupt or die if they get sick I try to convince people to take time off of work to strike. Because their neighbors are striking is Utopian dreamscapes. We will never see again something. which I just said about the nineteen seventies seventies and the mob had its dirty hands in the pie to the truckers union were totally in bed with the Mafia? So this means that Hoffa in order to get and maintain power in the unions had to deal with mafia bosses quote he had to make accommodations and arrangements with many gangsters. Beginning getting in the Detroit area organized crime influence over the I bt would expand as the union itself crew and quote okay but Nowadays Union leaders have to get in bed with unsavory unsavory characters like US Congress Giambi two hours so even though Hoffa was a teamster n a union organizer Eiser. He never worked as a truck driver. Or a doc and that's how management works though and that's why it's better in nineteen forty six. In December. Jimmy Hoffa became the president of the Detroit. Local to ninety nine Hoffa received a draft letter for World War Two and he quote obtained a deferment deferment from military service in World War Two by successfully making a case for his union leadership skills being more valuable to the nation by keeping freight running smoothly to to assist the war effort end quote shortly thereafter. He became the head of the Michigan. teamsters dear Uncle Sam. These kneecaps ain't gonNA break themselves. I'M GONNA go ahead and pass La Jim I love it. The actual deferment was based on. I'm too important to get shot in. What does it say.

"So he and Rani can play on the same team as has been prophesized. But I will clarify that. I actually don't know of brownie is even good at basketball. No, no, you don't. Okay. So I'd say a couple of things. One. He's good at basketball. I don't think there's any question about that. I don't think the idea they're going to play together. I don't know if you guys have heard, but they got the drafting. They kind of makes it impossible to engineer where you're going. And also Braun said that he was down to play against them, like I think they want to be out there at the same time, but there's no guaranteed that they're gonna play. They're the only thing I will say as well. I can tell these good at basketball. I got a buddy of mine, man. He's got a nine year old that's like super duper tall, and they got play like eleven or twelve year olds and stuff like this. So I see the videos that he takes from their games. Nine year old basketball players are doing amazing, incredible things at high levels of their euro step in like nuts with the level of competition is there. So when we see brawny do all this stuff, we see he's better than the other kids that are out there, but I don't have a frame of reference for him relative to the other prodigious thirteen year old that are out there because he might be a top ten crew, which is really good. But that's not a promise of stardom. I thought by the way I thought brownie just wanted to be an LA wasn't that part of the whole thing or just Cleveland Cleveland. next booth. Million. That's how much Kevin love for you with the cats, it's worth Pablo. You understand his move for the cap. So this just broke a hundred and twenty million dollars. I understand it because the Cavs have clearly committed to not resetting and rebuilding, and if you're the Cavs and speaking about people not wanting to live in Cleveland anymore, I don't know the player they could get who's better than Kevin love via free agency, right? I don't know what they would do if they wanted to keep contending without LeBron James. This seems like the only move they had so yes and no, because you're right if they wanna stay as good as they are, they want to say as good as they can be than, yeah, you make a move and you keep Kevin love around. Spite of the fact is reasonable to assume that it's body is going to dicate and there have been fears people about his body that interfere with trades and all kinds of things for years as they relate to hip. But this is this is where NBA teams get tracked disagree about the notion of Philadelphia in the process and what they had. You know what they did at that point. But this is the stuff that gets you trapped, which is you are eat, maybe pretty good team, but you don't want to take a step back in your fray to taking a step back. And so you have to double down of the guys that you already had because you can't situation, doesn't let you get new guys. That's how Joe Johnson while getting next contract on the way that he did because the host and for what it's worth the host went to the playoffs consistently why they did that, but there's a ceiling where they could go. So the Cavs are making this call now just to be good right now we're going to bit on what the Kevin love is that we get in four years. They're trying to prevent humiliation and to be clear, obviously would press the reset. They are now stuck as you said on the treadmill media, but the step back after the and worked out all those pits right, and allow them to build once LeBron came back when he four in fifteen without LeBron that's what they're hoping for. One. That's the number. That's how many lives this dad put at risk when he lunged for this home run ball, how should mom feel about this effort from dead? Let's see. It all depends on whose life we're talking about. Strangers life. I. This out of baby that. Yeah, that is. That's a, that's an infant. Let's get this this year. Let's get this year slow. Yeah. Oh. To the ball and lease. He didn't like try to shuffle the baby to the other hand..

"They do tell me bad. Maybe they've got to fight a concert. I am too young for this. Yes. So think about it was they used their real names in the commercial and I'm looking at the picture. I'm like, no, no, no, don't tell me real name was George. Michael was vanilla is was caning, or was it omitted the do. That's how they look like never seen. Are you to your own now? I have one. They song Elise right. Can you can you? Can you sing it without being sued? Is that one of the things I could, but I just feel old. Okay. Well, we got a name Jimmy Garoppolo Bomani Jones because in a feature ridden by June Lee, Lee report Jimmy g. has made news by sorta proclaiming that he thought he was better than Tom Brady referring to his arrival in New England arrival and meeting Brady. He said, quote, when I first got there, I thought in my head I'm better than this dude and quote Bomani. What do you make of young Ginny. Tom Brady. Right. Like does that not sound like something that Tom Brady was say, I believe and we've forget this. That would Drew Bledsoe. Was there with New England before Tom Brady took up Drew Bledsoe was somebody's you. Bledsoe Ed Lee led a team to a Super Bowl, Tom Brady absolutely walked in there and thought that he was better than Drew Bledsoe like this is kinda sorta what you wanna hear from your quarterback and his house. Like he had head coach who may not of thought he was better, but sure as hell thought he was next. Well, that's the other part of the story. That's interesting beyond the fact that Jimmy is more confident than we thought we have a note in this piece talking about how Bill Belichick had been offered multiple high round picks from the Cleveland Browns and still ended up sending this dude who's really, really good at football, Jimmy Garoppolo to the forty Niners for just a single second round pick, which indicates to me if I am a patriots fan. That is the thing. My head can't entirely wrap around the idea that you gave him away basically. Right? Because Jenny Renta's the other note here, Ginny Francis at the Huby or now? Yes, QB still. She thought she said that Bill has been texting Jimmy Garoppolo after each of these winds congratulate a give. So still there's to be this palace intrigue around the, but where I do disagree on the idea of the give away because yeah, you could get more offer get more back from the Browns, but where did the Browns play in the AFC if you think this dude is legitimately good, you ship them as far away as possible, I think would be more important than the initial hall that you could get back on draft picks on this. I would however, as we do all of this Jimmy Garoppolo Mike Sando did his tier rating where he tossed everybody, tears. They have quarterbacks in Jimmy Garoppolo in tier two. And if I'm not mistaken, tier one is Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady, right. He's got Jimmy Garoppolo down there while Jimmy Garoppolo had seven touchdown passes last year, seven touchdown passes. They went on a nice run when he got started, but we've seen enough guys when they first get out here and start that, yeah, you had this honeymoon period and then was we see what. Happens when the league get some filled. He's got a great office coordinator Shanta handed and get it done. But we are ahead of our skis Jimmy Garoppolo and speaking of the film on Jimmy g. one of the other notes in this pieces that he may have taken that adult film star out on a date because he loves entourage, chase. Knows me bad song. I bet that you don't. All right. Next name, Josh Gordon yesterday, Gordon announced he will not be with the Cleveland Browns when the open training camp Thursday, citing his quote health and treatment plan reportedly did not have any slip-ups or failed tests. But Pablo does this worry you. It's worrisome in the sense that you'd love for this not to happen, but I fear that one of the things we've seen happen because a guy like Thailand in the NBA and Dhamar the Rosen and Kevin love these string..
